- 0:00Who question is, oh you When I talk to her, I would give
- 0:11you a show like you have never ever seen before a wife, because I
- 0:18can't. What do you guys want to talk about God at deep and the
- 0:32colored red in a world with a black and white n eat us of world?
- 0:41Yeah, don't you some l there's not extreme the chap. What's bad?
- 1:02You got a bad? Sha, Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls,
- 1:26children of all ages, Welcome back to another episode of PCW podcast Championship
- 1:32Wrestling. I am your host, Wayne also known as Semi Dry Chicken,
- 1:36and you are my peeps, and we are having a very special episode.
- 1:41Uh. We're not doing a pay per view. We're not covering uh predictions,
- 1:46We're not doing a post review of a pay per view. We're not
- 1:49even doing an old pay per view. Why it's because the holidays are right
- 1:53around the corner, and everybody's busy. Everybody's got ship to do. And
- 1:57I'm not gonna make the pc W crew sit there and watch old pay per
- 2:02views or any any other homework. I should say, it's like a pc
- 2:09W vacation. We're gonna sit back and just shoot the ship. So let
- 2:14me bring in the commentaries. Here we go, dra my right hand man.
- 2:47What's up, bud yo yo pc W crew Right, dude, Well,
- 2:55you know we we decided to record on like an odd day. This
- 2:59is from SmackDown's actually on right now and normally I have it on on the
- 3:02side, but I'm having some technical difficulties. So whatever happens on SmackDown,
- 3:07something big happens, And if you guys are watching, let me know.
- 3:10You know, we'll stop the whole show, pump the brakes, breaking news,
- 3:15you know, be my informants, be my ears, be my eyes.
- 3:20I have no idea what's going on in the SmackDown world. I'll probably
- 3:22find out afterwards on social media. So far, one thing that's happened is
- 3:27the tribal chief came out to open the show. Apparently he has declared solo
- 3:32his heir apparent and the next travel chief in line, and much to Jimmy
- 3:38Usso's chagrin, and then Randy Orton music hit and you started making his way
- 3:44to the ring and they cut a commercial Wow of course, of course,
- 3:50and that's the first. Like it's already been twelve minutes in a two hour
- 3:53show, and most of it's probably been walking just all entrance. But speaking
- 3:59of Entrance and and just like Roman Reigns, you know who's barely on the
- 4:02show. Uh, we're also bringing our guy who's barely on the show,
- 4:08filling in for Doyle step On. Gonna be standable, Man. I walked
- 4:34to this day like a run this man of a kid. Finally, Look
- 4:40who's back, Dave? Who's going out? Man, it's been it's been
- 4:48a long time since you've been on. I know you're a busy man,
- 4:51a father of many children. Here, you're always busy. Uh, so
- 4:57you know to get you always have a quiet house. So you are currently
- 5:01recording in the trunk of a Cadillac. Well no, but man, we'll
- 5:12make the best of it all right. Oh yeah, this isn't an important
- 5:17episode at all. It's just shooting the ship. You know, we got
- 5:20we got really no agenda. Uh, Dave, did you know that we
- 5:26have a store on Pro Wrestling Teas? I did not, Man, Geez,
- 5:33what hell have you? What the hell? Your pal? Like?
- 5:38Yeah, we got our store. We got shirts. I mean, I'm
- 5:42we're already selling shirts. The original logo ones have been selling. We also
- 5:46have a d X version. We have a n W O version, and
- 5:51we have one if you're just if you're just a peep, you know,
- 5:55you just you just want to get a plain old peep shirt. But uh,
- 5:59more shirts definitely on the way for sure. So indeed, I know
- 6:03you got a big family man, so you know, it's a lot of
- 6:06shirts you gotta put in at or you know, I order him in bulk,
- 6:12you know who, don't rewatch them, just buy a new one every
- 6:15time. You know, I'll definitely look into that moment, you know.
- 6:20I literally just came back from Vegas forward, you know what I mean.
- 6:24So yeah, yeah, I heard you're you're on the road a line.
- 6:28Uh you know too mad. There's not like local wrestling in the area when
- 6:34you were in Vegas, right, well but not really, but I wanted
- 6:40to. I basically just was watching everything from me at least I got to
- 6:44watch the you know, Monday Nights roll and all that stuff while I was
- 6:47out there, and I wanted to see if it was something out there because
- 6:51the guy that I won't with out there, you always ask me about the
- 6:57I could have worked sometimes and the next morning I came walk bar at night,
- 7:00yeah, in the morning, So I have to watch everything from my
- 7:04freaking computer in the morning time, you know what I mean. So,
- 7:09oh yeah, I'm the same way. Like my work schedule has changed,
- 7:13so uh the normal of staying up till eleven o'clock to watch Monday Night Raw,
- 7:18I just can't do it anymore. Like I gotta be up at like
- 7:21three thirty in the morning, so show that gets done at like eleven o'clock
- 7:26night. I'm just it's just it's I try, and it sucks because like
- 7:30I'll start watching it and I'm like active in the discord and you can always
- 7:35tell when I fall asleep because I just don't. I just stop responding because
- 7:40I'll be like, oh, man, you guys watching this match. You
- 7:42watched this match, and then uh, all of a sudden, like you
- 7:45don't hear nothing from me for like the next like two hours because I passed
- 7:48out. But I always catch it on like Hulu or you know. I
- 7:55like, you spend five minutes on the toilet, you know, on social
- 7:59media in the morning, and you'll catch up on everything, you know.
- 8:03I saw that Maxine guy, I saw that, and I didn't even see
- 8:11the match, but I'm just gonna assume it was Sloppy's health. It absolutely
- 8:15was. You can tell that Maxine is still very very green in the ring.
- 8:20Yeah, they just had one. It wasn't really a long match at
- 8:24all, but there was one noteworthy botch where I guess Rear was going for
- 8:30a power slam that Maxine was supposed to counter, and some people were saying
- 8:35that Rea lost her grip when she went to go pick her up or something,
- 8:39but she tried to pick her up and they missed it and she dropped
- 8:41her and they went forward again and she was counted into her hur conrado from
- 8:48Maxine. But it just looked a total mess. So yeah, it was
- 8:52not a great match at all, and not even Ria could carry Maxine through
- 8:56it. Yeah. Yeah, reminds me of Lana in the ring. Alana
- 9:03was we were started out, you know what I mean, like all showing
- 9:09no go you know, like just a really good looking eye candy to go
- 9:16with the wrestlers, nice valet, hot valet, and you know just sometimes
- 9:22it just doesn't work, like you know, with the skill it's just not
- 9:24there. I mean, this is like the like the attitude there where we
- 9:28could get like like of the rosters just all good looking model women, but
- 9:33none of them wrestle worth a damn except two women. But luckily we don't
- 9:37have to. Well, honestly, I think that's the I think that's one
- 9:41of the reasons that they started to uh get athlete now, you know what
- 9:46I mean, Like most of the people they brought in lately are some type
- 9:50of athlete, you know what I mean. They have an athletic background now,
- 9:54so they're not just I feel the mean, what's the tournament called the
- 9:58next year now, breakout start, Yeah, something like that. Yeah,
- 10:03all of them, Like if you look at all their bios, they're all
- 10:07from some type of college or athletic background, you know what I mean.
- 10:13They all played basketball, did track and field or something. Yeah, And
- 10:18I think that's where it is. So unless they get these good look at
- 10:20people who want to be managers maybe you know what I mean, that in
- 10:24the background, which that's cool, but I see where they're trying to go
- 10:28with the whole you know, have an athletic background. It makes sense.
- 10:33Yep, yep, I agree. And to that point, really does Maxine
- 10:39Dupre have to wrestle? I think the women's roster is deep enough to where
- 10:45not every woman on the roster has to be a wrestler. If they have
- 10:48more, if their talents live more, and just personality and maybe on the
- 10:52mic and stuff, then just let them be a manager. Let them do
- 10:56that and let them just occasionally maybe getting a alla Stephanie McMahon or something like
- 11:01that, who nobody ever thought was an actual wrestler, But she was still
- 11:05perfectly fine as an authority figure of just an on air personality, and that's
- 11:11more of Magazine's forte. Then she's just let her do that and don't try
- 11:16to force wrestling on her if if it's not her app if that's not where
- 11:22her aptitude is matches like that, let me ask you, guys, Lana,
- 11:30what what do you think was her peak? Like when I say,
- 11:33Lana, what do you think her peak was? Was it as a wrestler
- 11:37or was it being you know, Russo's manager along with him going to WrestleMania
- 11:41in a tank against John Cena, you know, as manager? Yeah,
- 11:46that was her peak as a manager. It's like there's just some people just
- 11:52just manager like. She'll figure it out. She's got she's got a fair
- 11:58She made the cut this year because we lost a lot of people this year,
- 12:03like the roster getting cut and so she's lucky she's even there along with
- 12:07like Tsawa, and you know what it is weird today, I was thinking
- 12:13about it at work. You know, I have a lot of me time
- 12:16at work to just like let my mind wander. So I'm just like thinking
- 12:20about all these wrestlers who have kind of like are still on the roster,
- 12:26but I haven't seen him in a long time. And there they haven't gotten
- 12:31let go this year, which is surprising to Mina. I'm just gonna rat
- 12:37off some names. O'dissey Jones. He got signed from NXT A wile ago.
- 12:43It was a big man. I was excited to see him on the
- 12:46main roster. Apollo Cruise, Chante Donnas, Dexter Loomis, Alba Fire and
- 12:54Easil Dawn Omas MVP the OC and most importantly, it's kind of weird this
- 13:05year but we haven't gotten a lot of brock Lessen there less he's been gone
- 13:09for a while and and they're like, I'm kind of I'm kind of like
- 13:13I could kind of see Brock. I mean, he kind of left after
- 13:16his few to Cody, but I kind of could see Brock with something.
- 13:20I want to see brock Verst Scooter that's that's what I want to see him
- 13:24back for it. And well, yeah, a lot of those people that
- 13:28are missing for various different reasons, like somebody like you can't really compare somebody
- 13:33like brock Lessner to like rock Lessons of feature attraction that they bring in when
- 13:39they need a pop in ratings or they need to give or they want to
- 13:41give somebody the rub, or they need a feature program because you can almost
- 13:45guarantee brock letters Rock Lessons is going to return next year around the time of
- 13:48the Rumble. Now to me, the yeah, I don't know if she's
- 13:54just there for legacy reasons, or maybe she does pr stuff for them,
- 13:58or maybe she's helping down in the performance center training or what. She's clearly
- 14:05not being used as an on air as an active wrestler on the roster,
- 14:09and hasn't been for quite some time. And somebody like Omas, who know,
- 14:13again, he's more of a feature thing too, and without any real
- 14:18reason that he suffers from the same problem that every big guy suffers from.
- 14:24If you don't have any personality and you're not really getting over with the audience,
- 14:26think you're just a big guy and the only real purpose he show is
- 14:30just to show up, maybe squash every now and then and maybe get into
- 14:35a noteworthy feud every now and then. Other than that, yeah, there's
- 14:39really nothing. Omas doesn't really have a spot on the roster. There's nothing
- 14:43really for him to do it. He'd probably be in the same lane as
- 14:46a Bronze Strowman if it wasn't for the fact that bron Stroman is out with
- 14:48a neck injury and Audise kind of connects with braun Stroman more. But there's
- 14:52still all that in that same vein of just people who don't have much of
- 15:00a purpose. You know, I always think, I always think like,
- 15:03why don't you know, let's say it's us, you know, and where
- 15:07these people, these dry people who are on the mic. Wonda Rouse included,
- 15:13why why don't they ever take their money and go take acting? Classic
- 15:18like like why don't you like do everything you gotta do. I'm pretty sure
- 15:22maybe some of you do. But yeah, but when you look at like
- 15:30DEEVS Member told Davis, remember how you used to see the background, and
- 15:33you know, they all talked about how Maddie was that great on the mic
- 15:37and stuff like that. She had other people trying to teach her like me
- 15:43and myself, I would be taking my money because I wanted to be better,
- 15:46and I would go out there and I would take some acting classes like
- 15:50you know what, I like, I would do that like that made the
- 15:52rock better, That made all those people who are you know, are being
- 15:58becoming more more gifted to make this solf better in that way? Not sure.
- 16:07And for somebody who's still trying to prove themselves or is still trying to
- 16:10make it, that would be considered a worthwhile investment for them, to excuse
- 16:15me, investing like acting classes or something to try to improve their abilities on
- 16:21the MIC or try to improve their character performance. But somebody like Ronda Rousey
- 16:25was already a made man before she ever stepped foot in the WW so for
- 16:29her, she had no real reason to do so. She came in immediately
- 16:33booked as one of the top women wrestlers, stayed there pretty much the whole
- 16:37time. There was no reason for her to improve. She had no reason
- 16:41to, and that was evident in her second run that she had shown no
- 16:45improvement over her first run, which had gone over much better even with her
- 16:51limitations. But when she came back the second time around, she showed no
- 16:55development, no improvement. If anything, she had regressed some And that's just
- 16:59a clear kind of no of not putting the work in in the time that
- 17:03she was off and she had no reason to, she had no need to.
- 17:08Well, you know who's a perfect example of like somebody who took acting
- 17:12classes and their character has actually improved since they've been in the company. Chelsea
- 17:18Green hurt like she's got let go before she came back. And out of
- 17:25the handful of people that triple It's brought back, including guys like Carrying Cross
- 17:30and uh oh god, what was that that three that three person group with
- 17:37top Dollar and then hit people like hit Row and stuff back. But out
- 17:41of those groups of people he brought back that year, Chelsea Green has probably
- 17:47been the most one of the most successful ones. And like she has improved
- 17:52as a character because she takes acting classes. And like, I mean,
- 17:56people, why hate Chelsea Green? She annoyed the ship out of me.
- 18:00Every time she's on you know, I see her on screen, I'm like,
- 18:03yeah, that's her job, Like she's doing her job right, Yeah.
- 18:07Yeah, there's a difference like when you know, like it's because even
- 18:11my girlfriend does it. Like there's certain characters. She's like, well,
- 18:15I don't like this person. They're annoying me, or like the first real
- 18:18Dick. I'm like, yeah, that's their job, Like they're a heel
- 18:21or they're supposed to be like a Karen or you know, an asshole type
- 18:26heel. Like they're doing their job, you know. But then you got
- 18:32like guys like poor you know Signe note here, poor Bobby Lashley. This
- 18:37man got a nice stable gone, you know, straight profits are with him.
- 18:44It might even get to a bigger stable down the road, we don't
- 18:47know. I'm really excited for these guys, but like they're supposed to be
- 18:51heels. But Bobby Lashly is like like super Babyface right now with the fans,
- 18:57like that man is always getting weird. I can get to that in
- 19:03a second before I go in on that though, just as a sidebar on
- 19:07SmackDown right now, a match we've got that that US number one contenders have
- 19:15going on. We currently have uh Grayson Waller in a match against and XTS
- 19:22Carmelo Hayes. Yes, Carmelo Hayes is getting some shine up there on the
- 19:29main roster, getting competing in this tournament. I knew he was coming to
- 19:33that he was talking about that. Yeah, they annow. I think Sean
- 19:37and Shawn Michaels had announced it on on Twitter maybe like a week ago,
- 19:42so thinking I didn't know if he was gonna come last week. So this
- 19:48week that match is happening now, curious to see how far Carmelo goes.
- 19:55I hope he wins this match and he gets to shine in more than just
- 19:56one match. Yeah, so someone tells me that they're kind of more big
- 20:02or they're bigger on Grayson Waller, and I feel like he's probably gonna end
- 20:03up winning. Yeah, has a story in NXT right now to finish,
- 20:11you know what I mean. He's inn He's in a deep storyline right now.
- 20:15So we're trying to see where that storyline is going in the NFT and
- 20:18I believe, I believe this is the this is when, this is how
- 20:22they're gonna let go of him from NXT. By letting him, He's going
- 20:26to do his dep with his best friend and put his best friend over,
- 20:30and then he's gonna go to the mini roster after after he puts his boy
- 20:34over. I think that's what he's trying to do right now. Bronson Reed
- 20:40is still in NXC because I was I was listening to our Slam Awards from
- 20:47last year because I want to do an award, another Slam Awards at some
- 20:51point. Whether it's whether it's like late, you know, early early January,
- 20:56or you know that small window after Christmas. Either way, we'll get
- 21:00it in, we'll send it out and you guys will enjoy it. But
- 21:03I'm listening to the old one, you know, because it's gonna be our
- 21:07second annual and continuity and all that shit, but like just listening to it,
- 21:12like some of the things we predicted, Like it's crazy how a lot
- 21:17of it hasn't worked out, and there is a oh my god, Jay,
- 21:21you have to go back and listen to it. There's a segment where
- 21:22we talk about seeing punk and coming back to the company, and you're like,
- 21:29you guys are just like, no, I don't think it's gonna happen.
- 21:32He's too much trouble. And I'm listening to it because I'm just like,
- 21:36oh, it could happen, and I'm just like thinking to myself,
- 21:38he's the son of a bitch. One year, like almost a year later,
- 21:42son up a bitch. If only, like I place some money on
- 21:47that kind of shit, but it is it is actually nice. We are
- 21:51at that point in this podcast where we can go back and listen to like
- 21:56maybe like two three years worth of stuff at some point, but right now
- 22:00it's like a year year and a half. But we can go back and
- 22:03listen to two Survivor series episodes now and more games. And now we're gonna
- 22:07do another slammy. What you know, it's just coming. We're looping around
- 22:12now, we're going, you know, second lap, and I kind of
- 22:17like revisiting some old episodes like that. Uh, you know, Dave's audio
- 22:22was way better. He wasn't in the trunk of a car. It was
- 22:25awesome, the good old days. You know, we have we have things
- 22:29that we can go back on. Yeah, you go track track all words
- 22:33and what we've said since then. Oh yeah, like there's there once.
- 22:37There's a rumor, but there there once was an original episode never aired because
- 22:42of audio issues. But some say there's just three men just talking about wrestling
- 22:48to nobody, having a good time, good practice, good drive run.
- 22:53It was a good drive run, but we had fun. Yeah, So
- 22:59back what we were originally saying before we took that sidebar about Lashly and the
- 23:04Street Profits and this whole thing about how ww's booking them. And I think
- 23:12I've talked about this in the discord, I've talked about this on social media
- 23:17before, and it makes I don't understand why they're trying to force a square
- 23:23peg into a round hole, because you could tell from the moment they got
- 23:29together, from the moment they even teased it that the fans were cheering it.
- 23:33From the very beginning, they were all for it. They were like
- 23:37the second they saw Bobby Lashley pull up in that limo and tell the Street
- 23:41Profits again, and everybody was like, hell yeah, hell yeah, let's
- 23:45do this. Because and whether they whether they're trying to deviate away from it
- 23:52or whatever they're trying to do, everybody knows. Everybody looks at them basically
- 23:56the same way has Hit Hurt Business two point zero. That's basically even if
- 24:03they're not that and officially, to a certain extent, that's how all the
- 24:08fans are looking at them, because fans never really got a chance to really
- 24:14appreciate Hurt Business in a live format. That was a clique that was running
- 24:19basically during the pandemic when they were doing the Thunderdome shows and all that,
- 24:23So we never really got to enjoy that that faction, and we never really
- 24:29got to see them fully realize. And then they were just just as fans
- 24:33were starting to return to Arenas, they broke them up, seemingly out of
- 24:37nowhere for no fucking reason whatsoever. So fans have been clamoring for that,
- 24:44to see that type of faction come together again or something similar to it and
- 24:49get the legitimate run that people feel that they deserve. So we see Street
- 24:57profits Tag team that's been over with the fans for a while and Bobby Lashley,
- 25:03one of the top stars in the company, seemingly come together. Yeah,
- 25:07everybody's gonna get hella hype for that. People want to see that.
- 25:10People want to see them have a strong run. People want to see them
- 25:14become one of the top factions in the WWE. And people are cheering for
- 25:18it because they like both of them. They want to see them successful.
- 25:19And on another note, when the fuck have we ever had a all black
- 25:25babyface faction in the WWE New Day Yeah, them eventually got over after being
- 25:33heels for the longest, and they are I guess they are a faction,
- 25:40but they're almost kind of more of a tag team, even though it's three
- 25:44of them. They're kind of almost more like a tag team, but like
- 25:47an actual click, an actual faction with bona fide singles or in or tag
- 25:53team stars like that. We've never had that. We had the Nation of
- 25:57Domination, which were heels, and like I said, we've had like you
- 26:02mentioned, we've had New Day, which is a faction slash tag team because
- 26:07pretty much their whole run has basically been tag team wrestling other than Kofe's uh
- 26:12shining moment at kofee Mania and Big E getting his brief run with the title.
- 26:19You know what, You're right though, like when when you said how
- 26:22the hurt business, like you know, their their business got hurt during the
- 26:29pandemic, Like I think if it wasn't the pandemic, I think they would
- 26:33have thrived better because like dude, remember when when they were when they took
- 26:40out retribution, like they had the whole retribution thing, and then like you
- 26:45know, I forget who it was, Like was it like Kurt Angle or
- 26:48whoever the excuse me general manager was got got a hold of like, oh,
- 26:53we're going to hire somebody to handle it, and they maybe it was
- 26:56Adam Pierce and then they had you know, her business come out like take
- 27:02out retribution. I thought it was a badass moment. But like I would
- 27:07say, you know, during the pandemic, like wrestlers like Bailey was another
- 27:11one who suffered from that. Like she was like carrying the women's division during
- 27:18that time in the pandemic, holding the title. And I remember then she
- 27:22got injured as soon as fans came back. Oh my god, that sucks.
- 27:27And you know, the biggest one I think Walgreen is Drew McIntyre.
- 27:32The man won his first heavyweight title being prot His wrestlemating moment happened in front
- 27:37of nobody. God, you're angry, Drew, I understand, but can't
- 27:45be taken out on everybody. You can't play more kicking the ship out people,
- 27:48especially jay Uso. You the people. People want to want to cheer
- 27:55for them, They want to see them. They they want to see Bobby
- 27:59and the proper. If it's get a push like what Bloodline has gotten,
- 28:03well, like what Judgment Day is getting. But WW seems to want to
- 28:07force this heel thing on him and fans are rejecting it and now they're and
- 28:14because of that they seems like they're just spinning wheels with no direction in WW
- 28:19doesn't seem to know what to do with them. Because WW wants to make
- 28:22them heels, fans want to cheer them. Now they don't know what the
- 28:26fuck to do with them. Then they throw beef ab in there for god
- 28:30knows what reason, and they ain't done nothing with that since. And that
- 28:37just seems more like it seems like somebody just was in the production meeting or
- 28:41in the creative meeting and said, hey, everybody seems to like that hurt
- 28:45business thing from a while back, Let's do that but different. And then
- 28:49somebody was like okay, and then no other thought was put into it,
- 28:57like that was the beginning and end of the creative process, and they've just
- 29:00been throwing ship at the wall since then. Shame. Oh, I do
- 29:10have a question for the episode. Uh, let me let me just play
- 29:15her bumper and I'll because it's Andrew. Of course, it's Andrew always writing
- 29:18into the show. I let me play a bumper here. Do you like
- 29:27to answer a question right at this particular time? Would you like to do
- 29:30that? I want to ask you a bunch of questions I wanted to have
- 29:38them answered immediately. Can I ask you a question, man, question?
- 29:45I'm sorry about that, all right? Uh. Andrea asked, Hey,
- 29:55guys, I saw h on a Instagram photo that Becky and Seth Rollin's contracts
- 30:02are up to expire. Do you guys think they'll re sign or go somewhere
- 30:07else? Uh, They'll they'll resign. Uh. Yeah, It's crazy to
- 30:18think that they would ever leave. We're very happy where they're at. I
- 30:25uh, I think they probably get paid very well. And the fact that
- 30:29they always get to be on the same show, and and they both are,
- 30:33you know, main eventors of most pay per views. Yeah, I
- 30:37don't see them going anywhere anytime soon. Well, no, they're not going
- 30:41anywhere. They're both at the top of the biggest wrestling company in the world.
- 30:48Yes, why and guys think would they go anywhere else? Hey?
- 30:51Hunt? As long as one of us are holding some gold, you know
- 30:52we're making good money, right. If anything, they're both do for I
- 30:56don't know how w W contracts work in comparison to other sports, but if
- 31:00they're anything remotely like other sports, they're both due for a raise. Mm
- 31:07hmm. To be and to be honest with like from what I heard how
- 31:11Seth was talking in interviews. He's gonna soon be doing more movies and stuff
- 31:18like that. So after Seth dropped his belt, we might not see suff
- 31:21for a while, but he might be because yeah, and Becky, and
- 31:26who knows, Becky probably got suffer workally too, So yeah, if you
- 31:30know they're they're they're probably gonna be. Seth's gonna be branching out. This
- 31:33last character he's done has helped him, you know, I mean, progressing
- 31:38to people seeing him as a good actor, you know what I mean.
- 31:42So he's probably Yeah, that's that's that's possible as possible. He's got that
- 31:49role coming up in What Captain America movie, which we still have to see
- 31:53it to see if he's any good and what his potential as I'm sure he
- 31:56may have made some a good IMPRESSI and possibly on some people in Hollywood.
- 32:01But even with them possibly pursuing other interests, that's the don't mean they're gonna
- 32:07let them contracts aspiring in w W. Damn sure, ain't about to let
- 32:10them contracts expire. They're going to stay right there because that's where they listen.
- 32:17They know that w W is the place to be wrong. And if
- 32:21you want to make you they ain't gonna make the money they make it or
- 32:23none of the other stuff anywhere else. They're not gonna going to do that.
- 32:28And I think that the way Seth talks about w W, he's a
- 32:31lifer. He's a lifer. He wants to you know what I mean,
- 32:37that's where he wants it to be. And I think that I don't think.
- 32:43I don't think the man man, That's what I'm Yeah, you know
- 32:52of anybody, those two deserve like time off, like especially right after WrestleMania.
- 33:00Excuse me, yeah, like the work horses, especially since being the
- 33:05champion as long as he's been so whoever he loses it to like for for
- 33:09being the first world champion of that new title. He put some lineage,
- 33:16better lineage to it, he puts some uh I it's up the part.
- 33:22I still think with what Roman has, like, I take that title serious
- 33:25now a stature. I still think the feuds were kind of some of them
- 33:31were a bit lacking, but he did he did his part for legitimizing that
- 33:37title and making it mean something. Yeah, because we thought a lot of
- 33:42us thought he would would have been the guy too, that's the title that's
- 33:46going to get passed around a lot, you know. That's that's what I
- 33:50thought this was gonna be. This was gonna be. Yeah, every other
- 33:52pay per view, we might see this title get dropped, get rotated out,
- 33:57fresh faces getting the world title runs. Everybody's gonna kind of get one
- 34:01and done and get like a WWE world title under their belt. No,
- 34:06it's not the case. Seth has beaten a lot of guys in front of
- 34:09him, ones that I think a lot of us probably thought that Seth might
- 34:15not walk out a champion. And we're rolling around to you know, the
- 34:21Rumble and WrestleMania season. So if anybody was interested, a lot of people
- 34:30who don't know but Sampunk and Seth Rollins they have fought before, and also
- 34:37seampunk and Roman reigns and seampunk and what used to who used to be Dean
- 34:45Ambrose. So back to twenty thirteen is when Punk feuded with the Shield.
- 34:52It was like that real sweet spot where it was right before he left and
- 34:57the Shield was coming in fresh Uh. I think at the time Dean Ambrose
- 35:01was like the United States Champion. But do you guys remember that feud dre
- 35:08do you remember that feud at all watching during that time. So no,
- 35:13okay, uh, Dave, do you remember that? Of course? So
- 35:21Punk left, man, yeah left? Uh there's I know there was a
- 35:27handicap match out of pay per view as Punk versus the entire Shield, but
- 35:30before that, Punk kind of broke them down individually. And you know,
- 35:37I want to play this this quick like promo because I I remembered it and
- 35:44I thought about it today. I was like, damn, like, what's
- 35:50up? Remember? Yeah? Punk? Remember remembering up it? I I
- 36:07yeah, yeah, oh yeah, I do recall that when they you know,
- 36:12rumor was going around that Punky I was the one who hired the Shield.
- 36:15Yeah, I do recall that, and that definitely wasn't the case.
- 36:20But yeah, let me play this out promo real quick. There we go.
- 36:27Finish your thought, Punk, finish your thought. What were you gonna
- 36:31say? What's your big challenge? It better be a good one. You
- 36:37better give it a good reason not to end twenty thirteen by ending you right
- 36:43now. Cool down. Look, the three of you can beat any one,
- 37:07man. I think we've established that in the past three hundred and sixty
- 37:09five days. And I'm not taking away anything from any of you as a
- 37:16unit. But when I said, iron sharpens iron, I live to be
- 37:21the best, and I want to fight the best one on one. So
- 37:27I want to know who it's gonna be. Because out of one of you,
- 37:31out of the three of you, excuse me, one of you is
- 37:36the best. Oh, you want to do this again, you want to
- 37:42do it again. Let's do it right now, in this time. I
- 37:45promise I'm not leaving this ring without taking a piece of you with me.
- 37:49Let's do it this for right now. A dean't I wasn't talking to you.
- 37:59I was I was talking to Roman Reigns and seth Rollins. I've already
- 38:01beaten you like half a dozen times, and what I'm saying is it wasn't
- 38:10easy, but I did it. You think that's funny. No, I
- 38:15think that's funny. I think the joke. Do you think I'm a joke?
- 38:17You think you can talk to me like that? I just think you're
- 38:22the weak link, and I want to find out who the strong one of
- 38:25the shield is. Everybody says Roman Reigns, Roman Reigns, Roman reigns.
- 38:31Look at me when I'm talking to you? Is it you? Are?
- 38:37You? Number one in the shield. Are you the man? Let's find
- 38:42out right here, right now. You want to know who the best is?
- 38:46Yeah, you're looking at him. I'll fight you tonight. I'll fight
- 38:51you tonight. Let's do it. It's you, because all's I ever hear
- 38:54anybody talk about is Roman reigns. I'm talking about this. You don't think
- 38:59I could take him? Very guys calling to its germs, that's not it.
- 39:04I can't realize that. Daron, there's work. I'm just saying no
- 39:07one time me tell it to me. I want to put no bones on
- 39:15you my crime. I can beat him. He called himself the best in
- 39:20the world. I'm better than that, and I want to prove it tonight.
- 39:24You gotta step take him. Not absolutely and spoiler alert if you you
- 39:31haven't seen it, Uh Seth does not win that match, so uh yeah,
- 39:39go back and check it out on YouTube. Just just check out like
- 39:42just put in Punk versus Seth rollins. Uh Punk versus Roman Reigns. You
- 39:46should do it now before uh the actual the you know these two cross paths
- 39:52now because then it's gonna get severely buried on YouTube beating you won't be able
- 39:58to find it. It's it's been a while since they've they've they've you know,
- 40:05touched, but uh just think about it, like how much like uh
- 40:10uh change like Seth Rollins like that last time. I I also remember like
- 40:15staying Punk visiting n XT when Rollins was NXC champion and Punk was w W
- 40:22champion. I remember that and I was like, man, that would be
- 40:24a that'd be a hell of a match. I thought that'd be a pretty
- 40:29good match. But but the level that Seth is out now, it's he's
- 40:31a totally different guy than when when Punk left. Totally different guy. It's
- 40:37like, dude, I'm not in the shield no more. I'm better.
- 40:39I'm I'm the guy who cashed in on Roman Reigns. I'm the guy who
- 40:43beat you know, uh brock Lessner who beat you you know, like,
- 40:49uh, you know, Roman Reigns has a lot of fucking credit. He's
- 40:52not the same guy you know when Punk was there too. So like,
- 40:57yeah, those two feuds going into the future, like I'm very excited about
- 41:00because they're talking ten years have passed since that time, so like Punk is
- 41:08past, Punk is someone who can probably maybe still go in the ring.
- 41:12Really has to prove that he could still go in the ring, and most
- 41:15people would probably think that Punk is past his prime, whereas Seth Rollins is
- 41:21probably in his prime. So which is a far cry from twenty thirteen where
- 41:25Punk was. Most people will probably have seen Punk was in his prime,
- 41:30whereas Seth Rollins was still coming up still have yet to prove himself. You
- 41:37still agree, Oh, yeah, for sure. So seeing Punk's first match
- 41:42is going to be against Dirty Dom on December twenty sixth at a house show.
- 41:50December twenty sixth at a house show, but I would saying it's not
- 41:55just any house show though. It's the one at Madison Square Garden. Yeah
- 42:00exactly. We're run Yeah, yeah, they're doing like an end of the
- 42:05year like I guess extravaganzlo type show at Madison Square Garden. It is a
- 42:10house show, but I mean it's more than just a house show, because,
- 42:14yeah, seeing Punk's first match against Dirty Dom, I think Seth,
- 42:17I'm not Seth. Cody Rhodes is taking on Shins Kate Knockamora in a bull
- 42:22rope match at that show. So it's a house show, but it's gonna
- 42:27be probably like Poe quality in terms of the matches. I have to check
- 42:32out two fascinating. I'm sure, like because it's a house show, but
- 42:37I'm sure we'll get footage of it. It just sucks like it's not gonna
- 42:43be like a televison you think it would, like maybe like a one off.
- 42:46Uh and then we're also getting in the beginning of the year, the
- 42:51Game of January, we are getting Drew McIntyre versus seth Rollins for the world
- 42:55title on Raw. So then and uh so, how do you guys enjoy
- 43:02it? Sampunk's apology tour, because that's what it kind of seems like it
- 43:07is. I never thought like this would be his character coming back, Like
- 43:14he's definitely like not not not doing the heel route, because that's why I
- 43:17thought he would be when he would come back, because that's what he'd left
- 43:22a heel. But it's pretty much been like the apology tour, you know.
- 43:27Uh, he's gone everywhere NXT to see the wrestlers. He's going the
- 43:30roll, seeing some guys backstage on SmackDown and kind of bearing the hatchet,
- 43:36it seems like. And he's donated like right on air with a lot of
- 43:38stuff. But because like, man gotta go back and listen to that that
- 43:45that last years Slammy Wars. But we guys, we talk about how bitter
- 43:47and how Punk left with you know, left a bad taste in everybody's mouth,
- 43:53including the fans. That just people who work there, you know,
- 43:57the fans too, like you just we had this before with like Stone Cold,
- 44:01Like I think it was like two thousand and two where he just picked
- 44:04up his ball and just went home, and it's like, you know,
- 44:08like what the fuck, Like, dude, I just bought your shirt.
- 44:12I'm like a huge fan. You know, I'm going around giving everybody the
- 44:15middle finger, telling my boss, you know, go fuck himself, because
- 44:20that's the bottom line. Because Stone Cold said, so I'm going around stunning
- 44:22people at school and now you're gonna quit. He's just gonna quit like that,
- 44:28so cold it hurts. We've been to now I'm sitting there trying to
- 44:32think about it though. Where was Sam Punk at this point last year?
- 44:37Was he in ae w he was he was mostly Was he still like at
- 44:43this point last year? Was he still just like mostly out of wrestling?
- 44:50Yeah? Yeah, he had been injured because you know, like when he
- 44:54came back, yeah, I was happy for that for when he came back.
- 44:58You know that to a W like he came back to wrestling, not
- 45:00not just you know, just anything, came back to wrestling. So I
- 45:05was happy for him. I think I watched a handful of matches like his
- 45:08first, like five or whatever. I didn't order any pay per views,
- 45:12but whatever I could watch, I would watch. But I was just like
- 45:17more excited, like, Okay, well, hopefully we get to see him
- 45:22come to w W one day. Like there's some matches there I want to
- 45:27see more of, Like, yeah, there's some matches I want to see
- 45:30in AW, but like I'm more interested in seeing you know, punk versus
- 45:37I don't know aj styles, Punk versus seth, rollins again and rowand rains
- 45:42and you know, just just so many possibilities, so many good matches and
- 45:49so many good fews. Oh man, you know it's a really juicy one,
- 45:52the idea of Kevin Owens and see him punk. I'm waiting for that
- 46:00one. You can put that motherfucker on the back burner and you can let
- 46:02that thing cook on a slow burn, and that thing, no matter when
- 46:07you do it, it is gonna be a good payoff. You can wait
- 46:08till SummerSlam next year. I don't care. I know it's on the back
- 46:14burner, and you could I think that, oh, it's such an awesome
- 46:16feud, But I think they're setting the foundation for a lot of feuds because
- 46:23I'm pretty sure when Punk is back, you know, not only do they
- 46:27offer him like a boatload of money, but they he probably was like,
- 46:30all right, like, this is a list of like wrestlers I want to
- 46:34work with before I'm done, like you know, so I'm sure. But
- 46:39at the same time, all of that is very much still TBD, because
- 46:46there is I'm sure if Punk has his list of people he want to work
- 46:51with, which I'd imagine are some Carrent stars and some up and comers that
- 46:57he probably wants to work with. But this all depends on how well this
- 47:04run goes, how long he what plans they have for him in terms of
- 47:09is he going to be a regular full timer that we see on TV every
- 47:15week or is he going to be used more as a feature attraction like Lesner
- 47:22or Roman where he pops in, has a feud, then leaves for a
- 47:28while. Is it going to be one of those type of things or is
- 47:30he going to be you know, obviously he signed with Raws, so that
- 47:34would lead us to believe that he's going to be a full timer, somebody
- 47:37that we see week in and week out, but that's still to be determined.
- 47:42And then there's always the prospect of injury, which with wrestlers older wrestlers
- 47:46like him, which you know, kind of hard to say, are tough
- 47:50to say. But he's not as he's let's just face it, he's not
- 47:54a spring chicken anymore. So they're the prospect of injury is always going to
- 48:00be there, especially when he's demonstrated you know that he is more injury prone,
- 48:05as we saw from his aw run and the amount of time he missed,
- 48:08and they're just from injury. So yeah, well I did hear that
- 48:13he that he signed him multi million dollars deal multi year, Yeah, multi
- 48:19year, multi million dollar So we know he's not going anywhere for a while.
- 48:23Yeah, no matter how much time is he going to be active?
- 48:28Yeah? I mean, like I said, I think I think he I
- 48:30think he will because I think like he knows that this is his last chance
- 48:35and this is his you know, this is his punk last run, you
- 48:37know what I mean, So he's gonna try I think he's going to try
- 48:42to get so much done within a certain amount of time, you know what
- 48:45I mean, while why the fire burns, you know what I mean?
- 48:50I think I think that's part of this run. I think he's going to
- 48:53see the one of the best seeing punks because he seems happy, you know
- 48:58what I mean. Everybody's happy at uh you know what I mean him and
- 49:01he's sparking beasts, you know, just the punk that you want right here,
- 49:05you know what I mean. And I don't think he's gonna I think
- 49:08this is where he needs to be. These are the type of people he
- 49:12needs to be around and right now, because you know, another place,
- 49:15Let's think it wasn't it was a bunch of young dudes, you know what
- 49:21I mean. I know, to go in there teaching and thinking people would
- 49:25following them and stuff like that, helping the younger guys. But that's not
- 49:29how it was, you know what I mean. Those guys, those young
- 49:31guys over there, they do their thing, They do it how they want,
- 49:36you know what I mean, They Boss Tony Kaye. They got more
- 49:37freedom over there, you know. But I think, come in here,
- 49:42Hunk this to be back around guys like Randy Orton, all these dudes like
- 49:46Cody's here, you know what I mean, Like just just guys that are
- 49:52are like him on some of the same level as him, you know.
- 49:54So he now he said he would come back if it meant something, just
- 50:00would mean something, and he has all these matches that could mean something right
- 50:02now. Yeah, because all that he left behind on his level now so
- 50:08now he has woo that he's the best by going through. So this is
- 50:15gonna be a crazy, crazy run. And I can't wait to see you.
- 50:19I just hope he I hope things out well. Yeah, but that's
- 50:21where that's why I bring up the possibility of injury, just because of that
- 50:25the very things that you bringing up, the fact that he may feel like
- 50:29he has to prove something, all that he's so much that he wants to
- 50:30do, and he tries to do too much of too much of it at
- 50:35once, or he tries to go after it all at the same time at
- 50:37once and just you know, try to run this gauntlet of like I want
- 50:40to work with this star, then that star, then this star, then
- 50:43that star, and jump from one star to the next and all these feuds
- 50:45and then boom next he's injured and now he's out for a few months.
- 50:52And you know, I think me personally, if it was me, I
- 50:57think he would be best used as a fee your attraction. I think it'd
- 51:01be better if they he's brought in for high profile feud and then let then
- 51:08leave them off TV for a few weeks, not you know, let them,
- 51:14let them, let let people not. That's how you slow burn it
- 51:17and you keep from burning out too fast, because right now we're still in
- 51:22the honeymoon phase. Everybody loves him, everybody's happy to see him. You
- 51:27know, he's getting massive pops every time he shows up, and we're still
- 51:30basically building to his first televised match and when that's whenever that's gonna happen.
- 51:36But and whatever feud that's gonna be that he's in with, which we don't
- 51:42know if that's going to be Seth Rollins or not. They've just teased it.
- 51:45The only thing that we know definitively as far as television for uh Seeing
- 51:50Punk is that he's going to be in the Rumble, and he's teased the
- 51:53prospect of going after Seth Rollins should he win the Rumble. But there's still
- 51:59plenty of feuding and stuff to happen between now and then so or at least
- 52:06one noteworthy feuds that happen between now and then. So we still got to
- 52:08see what he can actually do in the ring, because if he has them,
- 52:12which I'd imagine is part of the reason why they're having him have this
- 52:15match with Dom and a house show, just so he can got to shake
- 52:17off the ring whurest they can get a sense of where he's at, what
- 52:21he can do. Put him in the ring with somebody who can who's a
- 52:23good worker, and who he can look good against, and then they'll have
- 52:29a better sense of Okay, what can he do in the ring, what
- 52:31he can't do, how does he feel. Let him get you know,
- 52:35get his feet wet, basically back in the WWE style of wrestling, and
- 52:40they can go from there. And also, like I said, a match
- 52:45like the Rumbles also a match where he can he doesn't have to do all
- 52:50the work. I'm sure he's gonna have a strong showing in the Rumble,
- 52:52but he'll also be able to pace himself and you know, share that workload
- 52:58with you know, six seven, eight other people in the ring at a
- 53:01time until he So it probably comes down to my guess is he's one of
- 53:07the final four, which would probably be like him going through Cody and somebody
- 53:13else, like if yeah, l A. Knight or Jay Us or somebody.
- 53:19So, could you imagine if Cody threw Punk out it was down to
- 53:23them too? Can you imagine like the heat that Cody would probably get throwing
- 53:28Punk out or vice versa. So you're gonna have to have a third party,
- 53:36just a throwaway like, uh, what big guy could you put in
- 53:40the final four? Yeah? There, you got perfect right. You can
- 53:46almost guarantee if not both Yeah going thro and Cody were the last two last
- 53:52year, so you can almost guarantee, and they both ain't you know,
- 53:54took a step back since then, You almost guarantee that they'll be in the
- 53:58final four this year. Man, Yeah, Gunter eliminated is one of them?
- 54:01Good? Or like eliminates l A. Night or dude. I'm so
- 54:06excited for the Rumble, Like every year, I'm excited this year. I
- 54:13think Attitude era wrestler wise, I was thinking about it. Recently re signed
- 54:19Kevin Shamrock. What the hell chances do you think there are of Kevin Shamrock
- 54:24appearing the twenty twenty four Royal Rumble. I don't know. I don't know
- 54:31what. I don't know what type of physical condition Ken SHAMROCK's in. But
- 54:36if he's in any type of decent condition, I can see him making a
- 54:38one of those, you know, surprise retro appearances in the Rumble. I
- 54:43can see it happening. Dave, is Kevin Shamrock a brutal old man or
- 54:49do you think he could still go for a royal Rumble appearance? I mean
- 54:54when it comes to when it comes to somebody like Shamrock, I mean,
- 55:00listen, it's hard to say what he's not gonna do because he was always
- 55:04so great at what he does, you know what I mean, Shacks is
- 55:08excellent man when it's something so I think I think it'll be one one of
- 55:14those, you know, just coming and rumble. He's just there to,
- 55:16you know what I mean, maybe do a little Shambock stuff, make it,
- 55:20you know, go crazy a little bit, and he'll get kicked out
- 55:22of the ring. That's basically all he's gonna have to do is take a
- 55:24couple of bumps and he's out of the ring. You know what I mean.
- 55:28Its kind of like, what do you know? So it's I don't
- 55:32I don't see him being in there too long, or that it's just a
- 55:37it's just a one off and he's gonna come in. You know, he
- 55:39probably just wants to do it. If this is probably his can't before maybe
- 55:44getting into the Hall of Fame or something like that. You know, that's
- 55:49that's probably because he deserves it. They'll probably give it to him before he
- 55:52well, I hope we didn't give it to him before he passes away,
- 55:54because this is what they needed, these guys, they flowers before they passed
- 55:59away, you know what I mean, because he deserves it. I think
- 56:02it's gonna be one of those you're bringing him in about Big Knowledge kid k
- 56:07Shamrock fifty nine right now, I don't know. He's only like six one
- 56:14twelve pounds. He's not just as I thought he was. I thought he
- 56:17was a lot larger. Huh he's still amon looking. Oh yeah, oh
- 56:25yeah, for sure. I still you know, uh, you know that
- 56:31that's been cool. Ken Shamrock and like brock Lessner in his prime, like
- 56:35you know, that would have been a pretty good match, mm hmm uh
- 56:40yeah. I think they there was at one point he was going to be
- 56:45offered the the w WF title and then he and then he left. Yeah,
- 56:52he went back. Yeah that's that's another Yeah, another guy who just
- 56:57never held the main time. Probably kind of ad decent on a short one,
- 57:02but m hmm, yeah, well you know that's that's basically what's going
- 57:09down. Man. It would be good to see Shamrocks out there, and
- 57:14I wouldn't be surprised if they use him behind behind, uh, you know,
- 57:19to help out in the generation was fine and then you know all that
- 57:25this stuff. I would love to see him. I would love to see
- 57:29Kim Shamrock uh come out as a as like a mentor to Gable Chad Gable,
- 57:37I mean, and make Gable because Gable is awesome. I'm sorry,
- 57:44what's going on. I think we expected a little too much out of Kim
- 57:47Shamrock. I mean, he is signed, he's he's he could probably be
- 57:52one one. I don't see him as being a trainer because let's be real,
- 57:55Ken Shamrock was just okay as a wrestler, and if we're looking for
- 58:00somebody to be training the next generation, I want somebody who was a great
- 58:02wrestler training the next generation. I don't want somebody who was just okay like
- 58:07Ken Shamrock was a good featured attraction, but if we're talking about training,
- 58:10no, I'd rather have a Lance somebody who could actually go and ring,
- 58:14who's an actual good wrestler, like Fit Finley type or a Lance Storm type.
- 58:19Them the people I want training my wrestlers, not Ken Shamrock. Ken
- 58:22Shamrock was great for MMA, but he was not that great as a wrestler.
- 58:25He was just okay. He can maybe have a role behind the scene
- 58:29as like maybe for like health and wellness, because I'm pretty sure he's in
- 58:32great shape for his agent for that part, he can have a good role.
- 58:36But yeah, I'm not expecting too much out of a Ken Shamrock.
- 58:42And again, he'll show open the rumble, have a nice good moment,
- 58:45he'll get that good retro pop, and he'll probably be in there for all
- 58:49of like two or three minutes before he gets tossed over the rope, basically
- 58:52similar to what we got from Booker t last year. Oh man, this
- 58:55is perfect, perfect time to use this bumper, right all right, I'm
- 59:04afraid I've got some bad news. Just like Wade, I would temper my
- 59:08expectations about this thing with Ken Shamrock re signing with WW like I said,
- 59:14maybe something, maybe a little bit. I don't know what his interests are,
- 59:17but as far as wrestling goes, like I said, maybe some training,
- 59:22health and wellness, fitness and that stuff. Sure, training actual wrestling,
- 59:28Eh No, I think there's better talent that can do that. Got
- 59:34the breaking news, fellas Lift Morgan just got arrested. All right, I
- 59:38gotta go, y'all, gotta go. My baby out. Yeah live.
- 59:43Morgan was arrested yesterday at Sumter County, Florida after a traffic stop. Morgan
- 59:50was arrested for possession off marijuana but not more than twenty grams, and possession
- 59:55of drugs possibly synthetic cannabinoid. What oh she got? We charged? Ain't
- 1:00:01shit? Mario was already bonded out. Oh yeah, dude, Like,
- 1:00:06what a stupid fucking thing to be arrested for it and for them to like
- 1:00:08make it like breaking news, like she was arrested for having something that's legal
- 1:00:14in most of the country. I gotta get them clicks. Hey. But
- 1:00:17you know what, though, cool by hanging out with Matt Riddle and Randy
- 1:00:22Art. Yeah, did you think she didn't Well, no, it's just
- 1:00:29it's just kinda sometimes it's nice to know certain wrestlers to do. And like
- 1:00:36what I never like knowing is what professional wrestlers smokes cigarettes. I kind of
- 1:00:39like never wanted to picture a professional wrestler smoking cigarettes because it's just I know,
- 1:00:44it's just like a bad image. I'm like, dude, don't like
- 1:00:46you're an athlete. Like, yeah, finding out a wrestler smokes cigarettes,
- 1:00:51to me is more surprising than finding out they smoke weed. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:00:54yeah, and yeah. I just don't especially if it's like a female
- 1:00:58wrestler too. You guys remember back when uh, Dave, you might remember
- 1:01:04this when ar Truth was a heel, right, I think he was a
- 1:01:07heel. Wasn't like the miss This might have been around that time. Do
- 1:01:09you remember when he would like take cigarettes from like people in the front row
- 1:01:14and like light them and smoke them in the arena. Our Truth is that
- 1:01:20goofy ass o truth. Our Truth was a heel for a hot minute.
- 1:01:24That man went toe to toe with the Rock and John Cena as a survivor
- 1:01:29series, like and he's he's the most I think he's like fifty four time
- 1:01:36twenty four to seven champion, like props. I wouldn't be the PRIs I
- 1:01:43wouldn't. Yeah, gross, Uh, I more of smoked than we know
- 1:01:50than we realized. Yeah, so last year at our Slime Awards, we
- 1:01:54discussed, oh my god, how time had past? We discussed how Vince
- 1:02:02sold the company, and was we're gonna see less of Vince McMahon. Oh
- 1:02:09my god, Like, let me just laugh it up. You know,
- 1:02:14the scene less of him. Well, you know, news recently broke that
- 1:02:19Vince himself said he is not going anywhere pretty much. We're gonna get Vince
- 1:02:24until he is a corpse. Well, yes, you know what I mean.
- 1:02:37And we already talked to him about it. Oh yeah, he could
- 1:02:40think he could be He's gonna be here, he could be there. But
- 1:02:45yeah, like this man had like all these sexual allegations against him last year
- 1:02:51and just all this this this ship for him, like just stirring up ship
- 1:02:55with this guy, right, and he sold his company for billions and still
- 1:03:00gets to work for them, Like, yeah, he doesn't have as much
- 1:03:05power as he used to, but the man is still his foot still in
- 1:03:08the door. The man can still swipe his security pass and go places where
- 1:03:13most can't. Like pretty sweet deal. Sure, sure, he has a
- 1:03:17bunch of money, but he has very very little power now compared to what
- 1:03:22he has because he just sold another another, and he just sold another he
- 1:03:28had. Yeah, and there has been rumored for a while that they're clearly
- 1:03:32trying to or t k Oo was clearly trying to move him out because I
- 1:03:37don't know how the fun they didn't see this beforehand. He's a damn liability.
- 1:03:42Yeah, yeah, well he didn't realize he's uh stuff. Really we
- 1:03:49thought, we thought, oh yeah, he waited till then they put him
- 1:04:02that they partner. Yeah, he has very little power now in terms of
- 1:04:10the company itself, Like he has a position. I don't even know if
- 1:04:13he still has the same position that he had beforehand. I think they quietly
- 1:04:17removed him from that position. I think it's when he sold some of the
- 1:04:20shares that he has. So he's just like he can sit there and say
- 1:04:24that I'm gonna be around until I croak, But he has very little saying
- 1:04:30that anymore since he sold the company. Yeah. Well I also read who
- 1:04:36else isn't doing so high? Is adw law or is up to They were
- 1:04:41up to lose thirty four million dollars this year I saw that post today,
- 1:04:46I was like, oh shit, that's a lot of fucking money. It's
- 1:04:49a lot of money to lose. I don't know. And I heard Aw's
- 1:04:55having trouble also getting a new TV deal signed, so you know, I
- 1:05:03don't know. Is it like, is the glory of AW just running out?
- 1:05:10It is this company running out of gas a lot faster than we thought
- 1:05:14it was gonna be. H Like now, I really think guys like Chris
- 1:05:20Jericho, the Hardy Boys, Keith Lee, Alistair Black, I believe there's
- 1:05:28guys who were there who are probably looking at, you know, the way
- 1:05:34things have been going with Cody Rhodes and seeing Punk and keeping their eye on
- 1:05:41Jade Cargil, like just seeing how they handle you know, either people coming
- 1:05:46back with bad blood or just new people in general from AW. Like I'm
- 1:05:53hoping that, like you know, I was thinking about with Jericho, like
- 1:05:57like, man, Jericho's probably been looking seeing how handling this, and like,
- 1:06:00damn, maybe I should come back to for one last run because honestly,
- 1:06:06I kind of would love to see Jericho retire in w W. I
- 1:06:12would like I would have liked the same thing with the Hardys, But like
- 1:06:15you know's a lot of these guys are tied up into long contracts, but
- 1:06:18a WS is not, I don't know, just not looking too good.
- 1:06:23Maybe it's just been a bad year, you know, maybe it's just me.
- 1:06:28Maybe sure it will be better. So but we live in a world
- 1:06:33where the Hardy Boys and edgend Christian are on a different show, and we
- 1:06:40now have Cody Rhodes and seem Punk back in the WW crazy. Yeah,
- 1:06:48I would not if for any ae W haters out there, which I'm not
- 1:06:56one and I don't think about, here is one I would not, but
- 1:07:00money on AW stay's being numbered because they Yeah, people are thinking that it's
- 1:07:06not looking good for them with WB Discovery, given that apparently Warner Brothers Discovery
- 1:07:13shown some renewed interests in trying to acquire WWE. But at the same time,
- 1:07:19even if that does fall apart, or if that does go that route
- 1:07:24and AW finds themselves ending their relationship with Warner brother Discovery, there's gonna be
- 1:07:30somebody out there who's gonna want to pick it back up. Who's gonna want
- 1:07:32to pick up AAW programming. They I don't think they would struggle too hard
- 1:07:36to find another home because one, there's a premium for content out there right
- 1:07:44now in terms of everybody's wanting to snatch up whatever they can. And one
- 1:07:49of the unique things that professional wrestling has over other content is that it's always
- 1:07:55new. It's not a seasonal show. It runs pretty much fifty two weeks
- 1:08:00over year. It's you always have a new episode, and it targets that
- 1:08:05prime demographic that a lot of broadcasts or a lot of companies go after,
- 1:08:10which is that eighteen to forty nine a demographic or eighteen to thirty nine,
- 1:08:15whichever one it is, but that young demographic. Professional wrestling talent targets that
- 1:08:20specifically it does well with that demographic. So just those two things alone is
- 1:08:27gonna make AW programming a sought after commodity. Shap W, Warner Brothers,
- 1:08:33Discovery not move forward or continue on with AW. Somebody's gonna pick them up.
- 1:08:40The only question is is how much will somebody pay for it? And
- 1:08:45will they fork up enough cash for AW to allow AW to become profitable,
- 1:08:55because, like you said, they're slated to lose what thirty six million billion
- 1:09:00dollars this year? Thirty four million Yeah, yeah, that's a lot of
- 1:09:03money. Still that's a lot of a lot of money. Yeah, that's
- 1:09:05still for a company of that size. Yeah, thirty four million dollars and
- 1:09:09lost revenue is a is not a small chunk. Yeah. So they need
- 1:09:15to get back in on in the in the red or in the black,
- 1:09:17whatever one the term it is. They need to get back profitable and to
- 1:09:23a certain extent, depending on the deals that WWE strikes it, it's not
- 1:09:30impossible to think that AW might be able to strike a favorable deal as well,
- 1:09:36if you know, almost like how you see another sports where you know,
- 1:09:41one person signs for a huge contract and then that kind of sets the
- 1:09:46market for other people who signed contracts. Now, that's not to say that
- 1:09:50AW would could sign a deal similar to what WWE gets, not at all,
- 1:09:56because they're just not in ww's league, despite what people may help for.
- 1:10:00But they might be able to strike a deal, a bigger deal than
- 1:10:04what they would normally get if WW hits a hits it out the park with
- 1:10:10whatever contract they get or whoever they decide to sign with for raw. So
- 1:10:15yeah, I wouldn't rule out. I wouldn't count a w's numbers or count
- 1:10:19their days yet or think that they're finished. I think they still got plenty
- 1:10:23of life left in them and still long ways from long ways from being gone.
- 1:10:29I think they'll be I think they'll be just fine. They kind of
- 1:10:32it's such right now because I see that they took a shot with look like
- 1:10:39Kenny Omega's out indefinitely a long Yeah. Yeah, he's in the hospital right
- 1:10:46now. I don't know what's going on. I just so, but he's
- 1:10:51saying that he's out indefinitely. He's out, and definitely he's been diagnosed with
- 1:10:58some condition. I saw them on to go, but I didn't catch the
- 1:11:00name of it. But either way, I know he is one of their
- 1:11:04top stars and all. But they got other people out there that they can
- 1:11:12They saw Willow Spree coming next year, so you know, after his uh
- 1:11:20new Japan contact up, he's all he's gonna be straight, he's gonna be
- 1:11:25aldy mm hmm. So they got him, you know, they got they
- 1:11:30got they got some stuff going on. Man, they just got to figure
- 1:11:32it all out. Yeah, Like, they'll they'll be fine. They have
- 1:11:38they have the talent, they have a roster. They just what they don't
- 1:11:43see. What they really need more than anything, is just some better damn
- 1:11:45booking. Yeah, they just need better writing, just to put out a
- 1:11:49better procket, not just going for shock value and matches and stuff like that.
- 1:11:55Like tell some actual compelling stories they hold up people on your roster and
- 1:12:02not just like like you said, not just go for just shock value matches
- 1:12:06all and spotfests and see how wild and crazy we can do like those eat
- 1:12:13like that ship is best use sparingly. Stop trying to be twenty twenty three
- 1:12:17ECW or whatever with these matches. Yeah, but you see the thing about
- 1:12:23it is like the part that the the audience is different. So right now
- 1:12:30Tony cal And panders to the old school like just wrestling, you know what
- 1:12:35I mean, not entertainment. So the entertainment part that they're that they're holding
- 1:12:43back on because they want more wrestling. And you got guys like Unius Civil
- 1:12:46wrestling, he got just got wrestling, you know what I mean. That
- 1:12:49they're there because they want to they want to wrestle. So when it comes
- 1:12:54down to like making the storylines and all this other kind of craziness, like
- 1:12:59right now, I don't know if I don't know if Nick con is not
- 1:13:01bringing in great writers or like because he could easily. He has the money.
- 1:13:05He can easily go get some movie writers or somebody, some top writers
- 1:13:11come in there and help out with stuff. Right now. He has the
- 1:13:15money, bro, So I don't you know, but I don't know if
- 1:13:17he is not taking that lead, because hey, he wants to. He
- 1:13:23wants it to be seen as like we are we are wrestlers here, you
- 1:13:27know what I mean. And and he doesn't want to take away that part
- 1:13:30of his uh because you don't see when you're looking at the crowd, there's
- 1:13:33not a lot of kids, you know what I mean. Like the wwle
- 1:13:40is mixed. When you look in the crowd kids, there's old people,
- 1:13:44there's young people, you know what I mean. It's a mix of everybody.
- 1:13:47When you look at an AW crowd, you mostly see older guys,
- 1:13:53you know what I mean. Excellent like E c W. Like you see
- 1:14:00those people out there because they're out there in cursing, they're doing their thing
- 1:14:03and kind and all that, you know what I mean, because these are
- 1:14:05the people that have missed statitude. However, you know what I mean.
- 1:14:10So that's there, that's who that's who he panders you, you know what
- 1:14:13I mean. So it's kind of hard to just say all right, let's
- 1:14:16change over and be more like WWE, because you know, are you're gonna
- 1:14:20lose those people or will let when? But would you be mad leading those
- 1:14:26people in gaining more people? But nobody's saying that they should be like more
- 1:14:30like WWE. We're just saying that they need to have more storylines and not
- 1:14:36just rely on the same gimmicky kind of things. Like you can have storylines
- 1:14:43without being WWE. I mean, w WCW back in the day had was
- 1:14:48more wrestling focused than the old WWF product of the of the eighties. Like
- 1:14:53that's what that was the dynamic that existed between w CW and WWF back in
- 1:14:58like the late eighties and nineties. Ww was more wrestling focused, but they
- 1:15:02still had room for storylines and stuff and still had decent writing. And you
- 1:15:08can still do that in a w and still put on a good wrestling product
- 1:15:13in the ring and just have compelling storylines to go with it, as opposed
- 1:15:17to just relying on just the wrestling and then all this shock value content in
- 1:15:24the ring. Yeah yeah, I think that also likes said, and also
- 1:15:28building up some people on your roster and not just having this bloaded roster and
- 1:15:33bunch of people just wasting away not doing anything. Like you sign these people
- 1:15:38and think they're gonna be a big deal and they nothing comes about from them.
- 1:15:44Remember when everybody, Remember when everybody thought Keith Lee was gonna be a
- 1:15:46big deal going to AW. Look how that worked out. I thought he
- 1:15:58was. I thought I knew he was better with w W. I knew
- 1:16:01that would like make it, like make him look better than he does now.
- 1:16:06Like I didn't think he was gonna be a big deal when Ken,
- 1:16:11but everybody thought a lot of people thought that he was going to be better
- 1:16:14off in AW than he was in w W because WWE was underutilizing him for
- 1:16:18the talent that he had and what he could do in the ring. It
- 1:16:21seemed like WWE wasn't taking advantage of that. So when he went to a
- 1:16:25W, a lot of people thought like, Okay, this is gonna be
- 1:16:27his chance to shine, This is gonna be his chance to showcase what he
- 1:16:30can really do and become a star. Instead, he's just a guy lost
- 1:16:35in the sauce on the roster. So like I don't I don't believe I
- 1:16:41don't believe that with w W, though I feel like they pushed him pretty
- 1:16:44fast. Like it's still people in NXT that still ain't get pushed it.
- 1:16:47I feel like I feel like he got pushed. He got pushed fast.
- 1:16:51He got what He's just aware. His shining moment was a stare down with
- 1:16:58Rocks and the rumble. That was it man before before he got sick.
- 1:17:03That wasn't w W problems. It was cod And he was sick for the
- 1:17:11longest time. They know me, you know him, so they know that.
- 1:17:15Oh he he he told us that he got he's sick. He didn't
- 1:17:17even tell w what was going on, honestly, and then he fell ill,
- 1:17:23you know what I mean. W W felt betrayed a little bit because
- 1:17:26he didn't tell him what was going on. But he was out for a
- 1:17:30while, bro and they were pushing him. They was they they were doing
- 1:17:32those little things with Brock and everything because they wanted you to see this is
- 1:17:35what the future could be like, you know what I mean. Yet he
- 1:17:40wasn't there yet. But then they brought him back as Bobcat Dude. When
- 1:17:45they they did, they've ruined his character and they brought him back. They
- 1:17:49called the bear Cat. The bear Cat, the motherfucker. And then the
- 1:17:57worst thing that you could have done for him is take away his music.
- 1:18:03That's the I'm Even with all that stuff that he did, even with everything
- 1:18:08with the COVID and all that stuff they did, they still had an opportunity
- 1:18:12if they had really wanted to utilize them and make something out of him,
- 1:18:15and they didn't. Dude, They dumbest fucking completely stripped damn to stripped him
- 1:18:21of everything that people had enjoyed about him, everything that people cared about that
- 1:18:27made him compelling and interesting, and completely stripped that of him. So when
- 1:18:31he left people thought that and went to a W people thought, Okay,
- 1:18:35now he has a chance to shine. Yeah, now that what what a
- 1:18:40w W didn't do with him? Ae W will And it turns out that's
- 1:18:45not the case now. The only thing was like, if you think about
- 1:18:49Aw's roster, outside of people who were already made men, how many who
- 1:18:56on their roster have they really built up? Like wh who's been in AW?
- 1:19:00That was kind of I won't say nobody, but not a big,
- 1:19:05not a noteworthy name that has become a noteworthy name in AW. I mean
- 1:19:12you could probably say maybe MJF. I don't know a lot of his career
- 1:19:15prior to a wor like okay, so I would say maybe MJF and you
- 1:19:20could see maybe uh swerve Strickland appears to be on his way. Maybe the
- 1:19:25next one will become a major star. But outside of them too, who
- 1:19:30else? Yeah, like aw kind of make low key making the same mistakes
- 1:19:34that w CW did in the late nineties and not building up their own internal
- 1:19:41roster and creating their own stars and kind of relying a little bit too much
- 1:19:45on other people's pre existing star power. Just dropped in the discord that lift
- 1:19:51moork and got arrested. Well, guess what, Doyle, we already covered
- 1:19:55it, pal. God, you know they're talking because they you got Tony
- 1:20:00Kahan, he's just Tony kNs just he's not like, to me the boss
- 1:20:09that turn this this Indian more and he's risen into and you got what he
- 1:20:18got people that's saying they started, they helped started, so they feel like
- 1:20:23they're you got the young bucks. He got something to say, you know
- 1:20:26what I mean? They always want to win, They always want to be
- 1:20:29on the spotlight. You got all the you got all the Indians, all
- 1:20:31the chiefs. That's trying to stay at on the top, you know what
- 1:20:35I mean, instead of bring everybody up with them. So I don't know
- 1:20:40how they system work over there, really, but they got too many chiefs
- 1:20:45over there and too many guys that I feel like they just want to do
- 1:20:51whatever they want. They they think they think they're good where they're at right
- 1:20:56now. They satisfied with where they're at and how they're feeling because they're on
- 1:21:00TV every week now, you know what I mean. Fuck the indie ship.
- 1:21:03They on TV every week. They're doing this. They're making they making
- 1:21:06money, but not not w W E money, but they're making money,
- 1:21:12you know what I mean. So they to them, they probably they probably
- 1:21:15a little you know, stuck in their wages, you know what I'm saying.
- 1:21:18You get So, I don't know. I think they've got some big
- 1:21:24changes. I think Tony Connie to put his band foot down for one,
- 1:21:28stop being all timid on the mic. Like he's looking like he you know,
- 1:21:31like like coming on there. One of them kids that's acting for money
- 1:21:35because he's got no food. He's just be looking all the time, and
- 1:21:39all the time you see Tony Kanny, you look like he's scared of THEMI
- 1:21:43and I don't see it's a big difference between you know, everybody talking about
- 1:21:48Vince, but I don't do a funck. Then did a lot while he
- 1:21:51was while he was relevant, you know what I mean, so good things
- 1:21:55didn't like and he did a lot of things he did like. So he
- 1:21:58but you know, damn foodie, you know what I mean. You're looking
- 1:22:01it's the man. He's fucking ship and put inside of the errors there were,
- 1:22:09nobody go. Tony needs to get to that point, still have respect,
- 1:22:15but you know, you need to get to a point where he's like,
- 1:22:17you know, I need to grow this thing, you know what I
- 1:22:19mean. Everybody want to say, Oh, you don't want to be like
- 1:22:23Drinks. You don't want to be Okay, don't be like Drinks, motherfucker.
- 1:22:26Be like Tony Kahan. But get a little get some balls, you
- 1:22:30know what I mean. Take take your company to the next level. And
- 1:22:32you're gonna need to do that. You can't do that just fucking doing the
- 1:22:36same old thing all the time, all the every every night, somebody gotta
- 1:22:41bleed every night. It's a fucking triple fucking flip that everybody's doing the same
- 1:22:46fucking flip outside of the ring. You know what I mean. I want
- 1:22:49to tick twenty twenty people, you know what I mean. Like I'm just
- 1:22:54saying like it's up to him. It's up to him. Yeah, you're
- 1:22:58absolutely right. I think the problem is is Tony Kahan is too much of
- 1:23:02a fan and not enough of a boss and a leader. He's basically it's
- 1:23:10basically like if you gave one of us, like I say one of us
- 1:23:14specifically, but like a wrestling fan a fuck ton of money and said he
- 1:23:18here's a company, that's like, he's more like he's more like a kid
- 1:23:23with toys than he is a leader in an actual wrestling lind He didn't come
- 1:23:28up in the business like Vince did. Vince came up, and Vince is
- 1:23:31a product of wrestling. He is very much just as much professional wrestling as
- 1:23:36anybody actually in that ring performing. He came up in the business. He
- 1:23:41is the business. He lives it, breathes it. It's in his blood,
- 1:23:45you know, for better or worse. That is what Vince is.
- 1:23:47He has that wrestling mind. Tony Khan just got a whole fuck just got
- 1:23:51a fuck ton of money and as a fan and said I'm gonna go and
- 1:23:56said watch this and bottom so and made him of a wrestling company, and
- 1:24:01he doesn't have He thinks he he thinks he has some of the wrestling minds
- 1:24:05around him, but I don't know if he has the best wrestling minds around
- 1:24:10him to really put out the best product. Like obviously he's not the one
- 1:24:15sitting there writing the storylines every week. He's doing that with the other people.
- 1:24:19And I think he just needs a better either a more diverse room or
- 1:24:27a greater array of wrestling minds or something to help improve the product, because
- 1:24:35now it's because it seems like it as it is now, it's just a
- 1:24:39bunch of anti WWE in the room, and everybody's just like whatever we're gonna
- 1:24:45do is whatever whatever WWE is doing, we not doing it. If we
- 1:24:49see them do that, then it's off the books. And we'll do anything
- 1:24:55on the opposite to be the opposite of them, or to try to one
- 1:25:00up them in the most extreme way possible. And that's that's good for being
- 1:25:08niche, and that's good forgetting yourself somewhat of a following, which they let's
- 1:25:14not front like AW does have a following, and they have a very die
- 1:25:17hard fan base. Good. That's only gonna get you so far. You're
- 1:25:23only gonna be able to grow so much. At some point, you're gonna
- 1:25:27have to as much as you may hate it or dislike it, you're gonna
- 1:25:30have to look at WW and be like, Okay, you know, some
- 1:25:33of that ship they doing over there kind of working. Maybe maybe having us
- 1:25:40a John c and the type ain't half bad. You know what, I
- 1:25:44would love to see like I would I would love to see them actually do
- 1:25:47some old school stuff when it comes to like maybe you know, if MJS
- 1:25:54was to lose to Samoa, Joe Tomo, Joe's a bad motherfucker, yo,
- 1:25:58why don't he you know, I mean a storyline with Tony karkhet Tony
- 1:26:01Khan out there, get their story Tony Khan out there, you know what
- 1:26:05I mean, Let him rough up Tony Khan. You know what I mean,
- 1:26:10Like, get a good storyline going with Tony Khan in it. You
- 1:26:14know what I'm saying. Get that out of the way, and then maybe
- 1:26:16Tony Kark get himself for uh what do you call it? A standing?
- 1:26:21You know what I mean? If you take over the show to you know,
- 1:26:26just to just spark things up. Some old wrest some old school wrestlers.
- 1:26:30Who has charisma to spark things up, you know what I mean,
- 1:26:32get him out there like they gotta, you know, just little storylines and
- 1:26:38still keep it, keep the things going, because I love a w rustl.
- 1:26:41Don't get me wrong. I love to watch the wrestler. They have
- 1:26:43some awesome matches sometimes, you know, so it's it's the matches are great,
- 1:26:48but sometimes to put together, matches don't make sense. So it's you
- 1:26:55know, it's like you won't even have a storyline. Then it's just like
- 1:26:58we're gonna fight. Oh, there's no build up, too fucking there was
- 1:27:03no building. A lot of good build ups to Daniel Bryanton against King Omega
- 1:27:09R. You know, uh we're seeing punk was there him going against this
- 1:27:14person? Like the build up wasn't there, like like they're they weren't.
- 1:27:18They just weren't there. It was just a fight and it was over.
- 1:27:21Yeah what a no. Yeah, but that comes down to having better writers
- 1:27:29in the room or having which they clearly don't appear to have right now.
- 1:27:33They're just booking for the match and not booking to tell story. Yeah exactly.
- 1:27:40And I and I know, they're trying to get all these matches that
- 1:27:43we couldn't get in w E, like, hurry up and do it before
- 1:27:45they leave it go to w E and W get there. So they're having
- 1:27:48all these crazy matches that could have been built up to be great, great,
- 1:27:54great matches, man, you know what I mean. And it just
- 1:27:57it's just it's just sad to see sometimes because it's just like, man,
- 1:28:01there was a little bit of this match. Imagine if this match was on
- 1:28:05w W, you know what I'm saying. Like, imagine if this was
- 1:28:09on w they would have took their time with this and they would have got
- 1:28:12it right hopefully, you know what I mean. Like, but it's that's
- 1:28:16that's that's what you get with each w you know, just here for great
- 1:28:20matches. But then with all the great matches that are all used up wor
- 1:28:24you got nothing, you know what I'm saying. And when you done fought
- 1:28:30gay biason against everybody, when you don't fought ten of them, maybe against
- 1:28:33everybody, come on there there, let's think about this. There are still
- 1:28:39wrestlers, big time wrestlers that we were just now after years and years seeing
- 1:28:44them fight for the first time in w w and they've been in the same
- 1:28:47god their promotion for how long. You know what I'm saying. But they
- 1:28:51but they found a way to slurve and not have those two wrestlers bury each
- 1:28:57other and fight each other until the bone. It was right, you know
- 1:29:01what I'm saying. Like people don't think about all these little things that go
- 1:29:04on. You know, we just we just they just want want what Sometimes
- 1:29:09you gotta think about the long the long running, the big picture of some
- 1:29:12of these matches, you know what I mean. And that's different. That's
- 1:29:16the difference between somebody like a Vincment man or a Triple Ah who came up
- 1:29:19in the business and have that wrestling mind versus Tony Kahan who doesn't exactly exactly
- 1:29:27Triple Triple Ah is doing this thing man like he's doing his thing. He
- 1:29:30got me interested, Like I sit here, I watch I watched the whole
- 1:29:34show. I'm like, yeah, you know what I mean. It's getting
- 1:29:39good, getting good again, a perfect though funny perfect I'll see. That
- 1:29:46was the subject that I wanted to bring up at some point here that uh,
- 1:29:53bring We'll take a look, we'll segue. All right, I bring
- 1:30:00it up. Let's do it let's let's break it up. They are Let's
- 1:30:05see, what about a year and a half, trip H is run as
- 1:30:10c c O and running this thing and making decisions and being the head writer
- 1:30:15or in charge of the creative content of w W. Now we have a
- 1:30:19better sense of what Triple H is good at and where he's not so good.
- 1:30:29And I think there are a number of things that obviously Triple H I
- 1:30:32think overall has been a general in a broad sense, it has been a
- 1:30:38plus for w W as the chief creative officer, but there's also a number
- 1:30:43of areas where he can definitely improve. I think one of those most noteworthy
- 1:30:48things that he's done that's better is that is giving wrestlers more freedom on the
- 1:30:55mic, allowing them to uh be more of themselves in their promos and have
- 1:31:00more freedom and not be so rigid as to as how Vince was where he
- 1:31:06basically told him go out there, say this, and you know, don't
- 1:31:10deviate from the script aside from a few people who maybe had that privilege,
- 1:31:14and allowing Michael Cole to be better, I mean, to be freer on
- 1:31:18the mic and not being constantly fed talking points by Vince. I think that's
- 1:31:24greatly helped Michael Cole in his mic work. Another thing I think Triple H
- 1:31:30has done well is showcasing more talent. We're seeing a lot of wrestlers that
- 1:31:35probably would have never seen any type of screen time under Vincent Man. However,
- 1:31:43at the same time, while that is the good part of Triple H,
- 1:31:45I think the bad part is that he's showcasing talent, but he's not
- 1:31:53building anybody. Because if you think about it, since Triple H has come
- 1:31:57in, who is who has really risen up to become a top star?
- 1:32:05Goltter is probably it his his Yeah, his prize possession. Well, but
- 1:32:12at the same time, didn't Golter become Icy champion while Vince was still running
- 1:32:15things? Yeah, you know what that was? Like, I feel like
- 1:32:19the decision for I feel like there was a point in time where Vince was
- 1:32:25sitting in the office, like, you know, you know, I got
- 1:32:29two people. I want to I want to break new records, you know,
- 1:32:31like this is the end of his erar of Vince's era, Like he
- 1:32:35wants to break and shadow records. I get it, Like you want to
- 1:32:39set like the longest reigning modern day undisputed title run okay, and you want
- 1:32:45to also bring prestige back to the intercontinentals. You want to do with the
- 1:32:49longest raining intercontinental runs. So I feel like a lot of these were like
- 1:32:55a long storylines that were just tied up the bloodline for example, talk about
- 1:33:00long storyline like that that is still going. So I feel like a lot
- 1:33:08that triple hasn't had the opportunity he could guide a lot of these stories.
- 1:33:12But I feel like a lot of these stories have been building for quite some
- 1:33:15time before it started, before his time. So in regards to those,
- 1:33:21But what I'm saying is I'm talking about just the actual stars themselves. Yeah,
- 1:33:27Triple As has showcased a lot of people who haven't who would have never
- 1:33:30gotten a chance with Vince, but he hasn't turned in any of them into
- 1:33:34real stars yet. He hasn't built any of them up. He brought back
- 1:33:38a whole bunch of talent, he resigned a whole bunch of people, and
- 1:33:42as we mentioned earlier, among out of all those people that he's brought back
- 1:33:45and re signed, the only one that seemed to develop into anything noteworthy has
- 1:33:48been Chelsea Green. And that's just on the strength of personality like he's brought
- 1:33:54back Johnny Gargano that hasn't turned in anything, Tomasa Champa that hasn't really turned
- 1:33:59into much. They're they're now a tag team as d I as what Why,
- 1:34:04But that's it. They're just a tag team. They're just another team,
- 1:34:08Like there's no build up. He's got Indie Hartwell and Cannis Lay there
- 1:34:15as a tag team, but again just a tag team. There was a
- 1:34:19point, right I think. I don't know if that's a moment is just
- 1:34:25off TV from nothing to do with him, or if he's out injured or
- 1:34:28what, but there was a point where they teased the prospect of the way
- 1:34:31being reformed. Nothing came about from that, and again there's a you can
- 1:34:38there's a list of people that Triph Is brought back and re signed and done
- 1:34:44nothing with, but just have them there and they're just on television. Even
- 1:34:47recently with Zion Lee Ziley got to be showcased, had a few with Becky
- 1:34:54Lynch, had a match lost. We ain't seen her since. So he's
- 1:34:59doing a whole lot of showcasing, but not a lot of building of Anybody's
- 1:35:02just people that are just on TV and just there to be seen. But
- 1:35:09then nothing. And I feel like Triple H is maybe looking at him like,
- 1:35:14I'm gonna give you the chance, and now it's on you to make
- 1:35:16something of it, to which that only that's only partially true. You can
- 1:35:21give them the chance, and yes, to a certain extent, is on
- 1:35:26the wrestler to get themselves over. But you, as the booker, you
- 1:35:30as the creative person, you have to give the people a reason to give
- 1:35:34a shit about them, because you can showcase people as much as you want,
- 1:35:39you can put them in all the matches that you want. If there's
- 1:35:42no reason for anybody to care about it, then nobody's gonna react, nobody's
- 1:35:46gonna respond. And I think that has been one of Triple Ah's shortcomings is
- 1:35:50his storytelling still leaves quite a bit to be desired, and some of his
- 1:35:56booking still does leaves quite a bit to be desired. There are opportunities there
- 1:36:00for compelling storylines to be told, but they're not just they're not being told.
- 1:36:05They're just people being put in situations without any kind of reason for them
- 1:36:12to be there or any reason for the audience to care about them being there.
- 1:36:16And I think that's one of, if anything I think that is Triple
- 1:36:18H's biggest shortcoming or his biggest Yeah, his biggest flaw as the chief creative
- 1:36:26officer right now is giving giving the audience a reason to care about all the
- 1:36:31content about all these stars he's showcasing outside of the people at the very top
- 1:36:38of the roster. Mm hmm, yeah, I mean they have no Like
- 1:36:44I understand, they're putting them out there to get a reaction. You can
- 1:36:47tell that that sometimes when they put them out there at the first time,
- 1:36:50they're they're trying to see what the reaction is going to be from the crowd,
- 1:36:55you know what I mean. And a lot of times, if you
- 1:36:58ain't getting the reaction that they think you're going to get, you know what
- 1:37:01I mean, get put to the back burner, you know. So it's
- 1:37:04like, you know, I thought, you know, like you said,
- 1:37:06was I thought she They looked like they were about to give her a nice
- 1:37:11little little push, trying to push her. But I think when it came
- 1:37:15down to it, it was like she wasn't getting the reaction they thought she
- 1:37:18was, you know, so they they pushed her back a little bit.
- 1:37:24But how can she get the reaction if we don't have a reason to react
- 1:37:27to her. I mean, the only thing she was doing, she was
- 1:37:30a heel, she was getting booed. But outside of that, like,
- 1:37:33you can't expect people to have a reaction just off of being of one feature.
- 1:37:39Like if you want people to react to her and really give a damn,
- 1:37:42she should have beaten Becky Lynch. Then people would have had a reason
- 1:37:45to give it damn. Like oh she got like because the moment that she
- 1:37:49was putting a few with Becky Lynch, everybody expected her to lose. That
- 1:37:54was everybody expected. And I know we talk about that sometimes people trying to
- 1:38:00subvert expectations too much to where it becomes meaningless. But there are sometimes where
- 1:38:03subverting expectations can be actually beneficial and serve a genuine purpose. And if and
- 1:38:10that would have been a prime case to do it, somebody like Zailie who's
- 1:38:14been relegated to a fucking main event for the longest, finally up on the
- 1:38:20main roster, taking people out, having an impact at least enough to have
- 1:38:26people's attention to where it's like, Okay, what's she gonna do? Maybe
- 1:38:30I don't care yet, but at least I'm I'm looking to see what's gonna
- 1:38:33happen. She dropped Vaculynch, she was on NXC, dropped some other girl,
- 1:38:39dropped the refers with a kick and shit. So when you finally get
- 1:38:44to the moment to the payoff where Zai Lee is facing Beculinch in a match,
- 1:38:49if all she does is just lose, then then what then it's like,
- 1:38:54Okay, well she popped up, she got put down. She's right
- 1:38:58back to where she was. There's no growth, there's no build up,
- 1:39:00there's nothing, no reason for anybody to give a damn about her anymore.
- 1:39:04Whereas has she pulled off the upset and got the win and gotta win over
- 1:39:10Becky Lynch, even if it even if it wound up that Becky got another
- 1:39:15rematch and wound up winning. Just the fact that she got a win over
- 1:39:19Becky Lynch, just the fact that she did enough to warrant a multi match
- 1:39:26feud with Becky Lynch, and by beating her, that's enough of reason for
- 1:39:30people to give a damn about Zion Lee next time they see her, because
- 1:39:34they'd be like, oh, that's the chick that beat Becky Lynch in that
- 1:39:38match. She's somebody that we should actually pay attention to now as opposed to
- 1:39:43where she's at now. It was like she showed up, she gotta put
- 1:39:45down by Becky Lynch. Okay, right back to the main event with you.
- 1:39:48Okay, but when you gotta think this too, though, you gotta
- 1:39:51think this too. I understand. I understand that too. And now they
- 1:39:55could do that with a lot of people. And the thing is when you
- 1:39:59look at certain people, right, look at Zie, do you think about
- 1:40:02it? Do you see her as if she gets the women's title? Right,
- 1:40:09where do you see her going from here? Like as a as a
- 1:40:12character or as even as with charisma charisma wise, where do you see her
- 1:40:16as a champion? When you got somebody didn't look at an Asian person,
- 1:40:20look at somebody likes and look look what Asta does when she gets the title
- 1:40:26and how she gets the crowd involved in all that of it and stuff,
- 1:40:29even whether he's good or bad. She you know, you could put it
- 1:40:32on her arm and she's going wrong with Okay, but I think you're jumping
- 1:40:38too far ahead by talking about Zione as a champion, like you can't.
- 1:40:42Nobody's thinking about Zaylee as a champion. You gotta make people just give a
- 1:40:45damn about her in the first place, Like they haven't even hit the first
- 1:40:48step with Zailie before you can even before you can even broach or even think
- 1:40:53about seeing her as a champion. You just gotta make people give a damn
- 1:40:56about seeing her in the ring. And that's what the few quebeculent supposed to
- 1:41:00have done for her, but it didn't. No, I understand that,
- 1:41:03but listen, I'm just saying, you can't tell me that they're not looking
- 1:41:06at anybody ahead of time. You have to look at these people as are
- 1:41:11they championship materials. You have to look at them like that. You have
- 1:41:15to look if they're marketable, or if they can or how far they could
- 1:41:17go with the title, because some people get the title and then they lose
- 1:41:20it and in a short amount of time. But I think that they look
- 1:41:26at stuff like that. Now. They do all this stuff. They see
- 1:41:29how people that when they do live SHOs, they see how certain matches are
- 1:41:32going to outcome or how people are going to react to them. It's all
- 1:41:35about reactions. But I'm just saying, like you look at certain people,
- 1:41:41I can I can say a ton of people that they're right now who I
- 1:41:45don't think like, I don't think they probably even gonna make it. Like
- 1:41:48I know a lot of people like Grayson Waller, like Grayson Water, He's
- 1:41:53like whatever whatever. But I don't I don't see him like everybody else,
- 1:41:57you know what I mean, Like he has that he has a presence.
- 1:42:01He has a presence. I think I've talked about him plenty of times.
- 1:42:04I thought his ring attire and I think his interest, his n ring stuff
- 1:42:09is where he's lacking. But as a character he has it. As a
- 1:42:13character, he does have presence. But what I'm saying, you see that
- 1:42:15he has presence though, you know what I mean that you see that in
- 1:42:19him. That's what they see too, you know what I mean. It's
- 1:42:23like y'all see it's like uh uh. You see certain people and you just
- 1:42:27feel it from them. Some people, you they might not feel it.
- 1:42:30We don't fall we know Becky Win said, probably says she ain't want to
- 1:42:33get quit for what's the name over. I don't know, I don't I
- 1:42:36don't know how how how that goes with some of them. But we know
- 1:42:41back in the day, a lot of them that was on top, say
- 1:42:43could had to say if they wanted somebody and go over them or not.
- 1:42:46She lets the uh, the n x T champion go over on herth I
- 1:42:51think that was a whole She's Irish, she's Irish. I'm Irish type of
- 1:42:56putting her over type of thing. I'm pretty sure that. But all I'm
- 1:43:01saying is we never know what's behind those things, because we know for we
- 1:43:06know that even Seena had people he didn't want to put over, you know,
- 1:43:12when he was champion or when he when when things was going, when
- 1:43:15he was going good or whatever, there was time he didn't want to put
- 1:43:18people over because he thought they weren't ready or they weren't this he's seen that.
- 1:43:23He's seen that Austin Theory wasn't ready. And look where he's at now
- 1:43:27and he beats y'all Scena. They let him go over, you know what
- 1:43:30I mean. They was pushing him, but he was. But when the
- 1:43:33crowd don't like you, they don't like you, you know what I mean
- 1:43:38like, and I don't mean like just from being a hell. They literally
- 1:43:43just don't like characters. So it's like it's it's it's hard, and then
- 1:43:48you got to go back to the drawing board, reinvent yourself. You know
- 1:43:53what I mean. Even Seth had to reinvent himself because he started to go
- 1:43:57stayl a little bit and and he had to get back to it I see
- 1:44:00only and only, and he did that, Like some people just have to
- 1:44:05take it upon themselves to try to get themselves to the point where they want
- 1:44:09to be great. And I don't know, like I feel like I feel
- 1:44:14like when it comes to Triple A, C has a little more of an
- 1:44:16understanding and an opening for stuff like that, because you know, I think
- 1:44:23that's he's given people chances. I think he's given the chances, but they
- 1:44:28have to at some point prove it or they have to be make theirselfs likable
- 1:44:33in a way. Sure, that's that's part of it, But part of
- 1:44:39it is also his booking. They can't they can't prove something if they're not
- 1:44:45giving a chance to and just putting them in a match and just say here,
- 1:44:47go on TV and make yourself a star and a match that nobody gives
- 1:44:51a shit about. That's not really going to work. That's only gonna work
- 1:44:56for a small handful of people who just inherently have that it factor. But
- 1:45:00not every star, not everybody whoever becomes a star came about it that way.
- 1:45:08Not everybody whoever became a top star was. You didn't always see it
- 1:45:13from everybody from day one, like you didn't. Nobody looked at stunning Steve
- 1:45:19Austin and thought that Stone Cold was possible. He was, he was doing
- 1:45:26fine as stunning Steve Austin. Yeah, he was a fine enough wrestler.
- 1:45:30But did anybody look at that and think that Stone Cold was possible? No?
- 1:45:34Did anybody look at me and Mark Kallus and WCW and think that the
- 1:45:39Undertaker was possible? No. So at some point, at some point,
- 1:45:45you as a booker, you as the person creating the storylines and telling the
- 1:45:49stories, have to give the people a reason to give a shit about somebody.
- 1:45:54And it's not just put them up, put them out there on TV
- 1:45:57and just expect the audience to tell us tell you whether this person is it
- 1:46:02or not. Some of it's it's a it's both sides of it. Some
- 1:46:06of it is on the wrestler, yes, to get themselves over, but
- 1:46:10it's also on the booker to put them in the position to get themselves over,
- 1:46:14to give people a reason to give a shit about them, Like Rocky
- 1:46:17Mayavia. You didn't see the rock from Rocky Myavilla. They were putting him
- 1:46:23out on TV. Yes, they were pushing him, and then people turned
- 1:46:27on him, and they could have just dropped it there like, oh damn,
- 1:46:30people don't like them. Well, I guess he ain't it by get
- 1:46:33the fuck out of here, and his career could have been over. But
- 1:46:36they didn't. They gave him. They put him in a position to get
- 1:46:41himself over. They put him in a position to give people a reason to
- 1:46:44give a damn about him by putting him with the Nation. And that's what
- 1:46:48I'm saying. That's the part that I'm saying that Triple H is lacking in,
- 1:46:50the part that he's falling short in is putting these people in a position
- 1:46:56for the audience to give a damn about them, to give them a reason
- 1:47:00to react to them. That's what he's not doing. It's not just all
- 1:47:02on the wrestler, like, all right, I'm in this match for no
- 1:47:05reason, but I hope y'all see championship material in me in this you know,
- 1:47:11showcase of wrestling ability without any storyline to it. Like he's got to
- 1:47:15do his end too, And that's that's what I'm saying that he's not doing
- 1:47:19yet. But bro, how many how many promos and that Stories has viily
- 1:47:26had ever since even once she was in XT, she's had more TV times
- 1:47:30and than a lot of people, you know what I mean, Like she's
- 1:47:34had more TV times. He reinvented herself. They've been trying to do different
- 1:47:39things with her. I mean, I think it's more easier said than done
- 1:47:42to just try to find a unique character. Yeah, I'm not saying that
- 1:47:46it's easy, but it's not. It's hard. It's something when you got
- 1:47:49all these other talents that you're trying and plus the new talent this year,
- 1:47:54you know what I mean. I just think you gotta give you the benefit
- 1:47:57of the doubt that it's like, you know, it's I think it's hard
- 1:48:01to come up with a good characters to people to that people are gonna love
- 1:48:04on that person. You know what I'm not I'm not saying that it's easy.
- 1:48:09I'm just saying that he has to do something with somebody. He's got
- 1:48:13all this talent. It's not just I mean, we mentioned anxiety, but
- 1:48:16it's not just zile Lee again. D I y, They're just there,
- 1:48:23Uh. In the Indie Heartwell and and Candice Larray just there. Dexter Loomis
- 1:48:29just there, like out of out of He's brought back all these people that
- 1:48:33he's resigned and people that he's that were just spinning wheels on the roster,
- 1:48:40a bunch of them. Not a single one of them has really been elevated.
- 1:48:44And I don't think that they're all just that mediocre or that they're all
- 1:48:48just that mid People seem to have loved Johnny Gugardo, people that these are
- 1:48:53some of the wrestlers that people were wanting to see that the fans were wanting
- 1:48:57to see happen. Fans wanted the way they teased it, they never did
- 1:49:01anything with it. Fans wanted to see Johnny Gargano get be something. He
- 1:49:08had a he had a bit of a hype when he came when he finally
- 1:49:10debuted or came back on the main roster, he had a bit of a
- 1:49:13pop, but then they did nothing with it. They're doing the same thing
- 1:49:16now with Bobby Lasty in the street profits they're there, there's clearly a reaction,
- 1:49:21there's clearly something there, but they're not doing anything with it. They're
- 1:49:26not booking it right that's where he's falling short. Even when he does seem
- 1:49:30to have this, to seem to have the moment or seem to have the
- 1:49:32opportunity to build something, he's not really capitalizing on it as well as I
- 1:49:38think he could be. Well, guys, yeah, can we spend that
- 1:49:45they're talking about anxiety? Uh, you know, to wrap up the show,
- 1:49:53I am going to ask both of you guys a question. And you
- 1:49:58know, I thought about it long inhow I spent most of my day thinking
- 1:50:01about it, and Uh, it's a would you rather type question? So
- 1:50:09this goes for both of you. Uh, Dave, I don't know how
- 1:50:15much oxygen you have left in your in that car. The windows really foggy
- 1:50:21right now. We're a podcast for almost two hours now, so I assume
- 1:50:30it's super foggy. So you could write be CW on all the windows.
- 1:50:33Ah. Okay, guys, would you rather give Vince McMahon a sponge bath
- 1:50:44once a week? Or would you rather a's two more? Give Jim Ross
- 1:50:53good Old Jr. A foot massage once a week or once a week.
- 1:51:02It's very random. You don't know when, you don't know where, and
- 1:51:08you don't know who. WW professional wrestler will come out of nowhere and give
- 1:51:14you their finisher. I'm taking finishers and once a week. And and here's
- 1:51:20the thing is the Vince thing did Jim Ross thing. You have to do
- 1:51:26them until they die. And the finisher you have to do it for at
- 1:51:30least in the next twenty years. No hesitation finishers. I'm not touching that.
- 1:51:36I ain't touching neither one of them. Little wrinkly old fat fox.
- 1:51:40Yeah, yeah, I'll take the finisher. Maybe you'll at least when you're
- 1:51:45taking those finishers, maybe you can put a name out here for yourself.
- 1:51:49Maybe you'll get on like some twelve pio and make some money. You ain't
- 1:51:54gonna make no money, right I thought about it. I was like,
- 1:52:00I think I take a finisher. I was like I would randomly take an
- 1:52:04RKO or super kick once a week. It was just funny. You know,
- 1:52:09you just think about You're in the grocery store. You just turned the
- 1:52:11corner, you know you uh, you just picked up I don't know,
- 1:52:15like a box of cereal and Sean Michael's just like super kicks you out of
- 1:52:18nowhere. In the box Cereal just goes flying, or it remind me of
- 1:52:23that. You know recently I posted in that discord the the match with Booker
- 1:52:30Tea and Stone Cold Steve austin the grocery store, like just comes out of
- 1:52:35nowhere. So it's beating the shit out of you, like pour his milk
- 1:52:39on you, and like like you're at the bank and you're just standing in
- 1:52:45line. Then the fucking Undertaker you just hit the gong and he just comes
- 1:52:47out of nowhere and just choke slams you in the middle of the bank.
- 1:52:51Oh man, Uh, You're like you're at Walmart in line, You're just
- 1:52:58holding your groceries, just your own fucking business. You're like, I'm gonna
- 1:53:00go to check out. I'm gonna go check it out myself. I'm gonna
- 1:53:03wait in line. I'm gonna just go bag it all myself. I'm gonna
- 1:53:05have a good day. We'll go home. I'm gonna eat this pie I
- 1:53:09just got. And then boom, Drew McIntire's claim, Moore is your ass
- 1:53:12out of nowhere? Pie goes flying? Why anybody? One time it might
- 1:53:19be Drew McIntyre giving you the claym war, but another time it could be
- 1:53:24True Stratus giving you stratisfaction. Oh god, yes, I think. Yeah,
- 1:53:33I'll take my chances with that any day of the week before I'm touching
- 1:53:36Vincement Man or Jim Ross. You ain't lying man down with that that bro.
- 1:53:46I ain't touching any either one of them. Oh my god, I
- 1:53:48gotta I think next episode I'm gonna come up with another, would you rather?
- 1:53:53I think I'm just gonna do one every episode because I got a bunch
- 1:53:56of these. Oh man, these are a funny ship and I just write
- 1:53:59them down. Uh. But yeah, like I was thinking, because I
- 1:54:03want to add more shirts. I think Doyle needs his own shirt. Yeah,
- 1:54:09I think uh d O y l E. Well we'll say the man's
- 1:54:15got his own catchphrases now, you know, slap it on a T shirt
- 1:54:17for him, because you know we're going to wrestle Mania and we're all gonna
- 1:54:23be wearing uh some PCW shirts of some kind. So I'm pretty excited.
- 1:54:29I'm pretty excited. Get my aw hoodie, dude. Yeah, I want
- 1:54:33to know how we can get hoodies or beanies or some ship like I know.
- 1:54:40Well, well, on the website, you can choose the different style
- 1:54:44of shirt, and you can choose long sleeve shirt. But I know there
- 1:54:47is an option for hoodies on that. Yeah, I gotta figure that out
- 1:54:51because I want to hoodie. Like I know, I'm gonna be freezing pay
- 1:55:00whatever money it is. So yeah, uh day, dud, It's it's
- 1:55:06been a while that you've been on here. I'm glad you came. Hopefully
- 1:55:11we have you on another episode and you're not inside the car. Maybe an
- 1:55:16elevator next time, or maybe a hot dog stand, a Porter potty,
- 1:55:21sun baked Portajean. I'm thinking of a bunch of other random places that you
- 1:55:27could be. A parking garage, standing in the middle of an ice ring
- 1:55:33arena, maybe some good acoustics in a church perhaps, But yeah, dude,
- 1:55:44yeah, you gotta get back on Discord. You know, you haven't
- 1:55:46been part of the conversation in like months the time, man like chiming in
- 1:55:53with your nuts. Yeah, what's good having you here on the pod.
- 1:55:58And we always have good debates every time you're on. Oh yeah, dude,
- 1:56:00I know when I get you guys together, you guys debate like a
- 1:56:02motherfucker. So I don't I don't know if Dave's going with us to WrestleMania
- 1:56:08or not, but like, if not, Dave like, I gotta get
- 1:56:13all of us together, considering Dave lives like five ten minutes for me off
- 1:56:18the road, So yeah, we all got to get together. Run WrestleMania
- 1:56:24time, especially for a big podcast podcast picture. You know, I'll be
- 1:56:29I'll be trying to see if somebody trying to sell or something like that.
- 1:56:32Yeah, well, like talk talk to I know, like we'll probably talk
- 1:56:35more about this offair, but reach Doyle. Doyle is the man to talk
- 1:56:39to. He's a book, he's our agent, you know. Reach out
- 1:56:43to that man. See what he can do. I don't know what magic
- 1:56:47he has, but he's the guy to talk to, or at least tell
- 1:56:50you where we're sitting, because honestly, I don't remember where the hell we're
- 1:56:55sitting. I don't All I know is it's being handled. I handing over
- 1:57:01the cash. You know, well, I mean we've already gotten We've got
- 1:57:05the tickets where like yeah, I was like one thousand and one or something
- 1:57:10like that. I would have to scroll back up in the chat to see
- 1:57:14where it is. But at this point, like I don't care where I
- 1:57:17sit. I'm good at time. It's been great, I know, like
- 1:57:21we're getting closer and closer, and I'm getting so excited because dude, like
- 1:57:27a few weeks ago, I I had no idea that I'd be going to
- 1:57:31WrestleMania and the possibility of seeing seeing Punk there, like holy shit like that
- 1:57:38that just blew my mind. Like so I'm just excited for all the all
- 1:57:44the singing and the screaming, like I'm gonna lose my voice for sure,
- 1:57:48damn sure. Uh but uh yeah, Dave, do you want to plug
- 1:57:53anything? Uh you know, like maybe your discord or how people can get
- 1:57:58a hold of you and if you know they want to chit chat with you,
- 1:58:06so okay then uh, Dre, do you have anything you want to
- 1:58:12plug for the show? Nothing at the moment. I mean y'all as always,
- 1:58:16y'all can always find me in the PCW discord, and like I said,
- 1:58:23I'm there usually every Monday Friday and pl sharing my thoughts live and in
- 1:58:28real time. If any of you are PCL Patreon subscribers, you might find
- 1:58:33me on a couple of upcoming uh PCL Patreon some some of their content coming
- 1:58:42up. I think I just did one recently and I'm doing another one this
- 1:58:45upcome a week. And also for those of you who follow uh are good
- 1:58:50Buddy Carlos's show of Revisiting the Mania. I will be on his upcoming episode
- 1:58:57covering WrestleMania eighteen. Oh dude, I'm on for WrestleMania nineteen. I was
- 1:59:04like, dude, nineteen and on, I am your man. I lived
- 1:59:09those years. That was like prime wrestling years for me, Like, I
- 1:59:14will give you stories, my friends stories. I'm like, bring me on.
- 1:59:18So yeah, I'm really excited about knocking out that. Yeah. Yeah,
- 1:59:25eighteen kind of came through as a blessing because I was the one I
- 1:59:28originally wanted to do, but he had somebody booked for that, So then
- 1:59:31I was gonna do WrestleMania seventeen with him because somebody I guess, uh,
- 1:59:35the guy he had for seventeen fell out. But then they kind of flipped
- 1:59:39in. The person for seventeen is able to make it in. The person
- 1:59:42from eighteen fell out, So I'm coming on for eighteen. Eighteen's a good
- 1:59:46one. Yeah, Rock Hogan, Yes, for eighteen, he said it
- 1:59:49was taken. I was like, damn. I was like, That's where
- 1:59:51I would have liked to have started, because yeah, dude, so much
- 1:59:56good shit haves at eighteen. So yeah, I'm excited to listen to that
- 2:00:00episode two. Yeah, you can find me anywhere at Semi dry Chicken,
