- 2:05Speaker 3: That's bad. Home in there.
- 2:06Speaker 5: It's tough, all right. Welcome back to the Son of
- 2:09Speaker 5: a Boy Dad podcast.
- 2:10Speaker 3: Today, it is a day.
- 2:13Speaker 5: I don't know what the date is.
- 2:16Speaker 1: It is going to die, really it is? Yeah, how
- 2:20Speaker 1: how this early in the day? Or is your phone
- 2:21Speaker 1: gonna die?
- 2:23Speaker 5: Been up grinding all day.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Really, Yeah, that's so fucking impressive checking your financial stats,
- 2:28Speaker 1: et cetera.
- 2:29Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean I will up at like nine thirty.
- 2:32Speaker 5: Still good though, And it's like three forty a long time.
- 2:36Speaker 5: It's like it's a good amount of hours to run
- 2:38Speaker 5: your battery.
- 2:38Speaker 1: Out, and you've been on it for every minute of
- 2:40Speaker 1: those pretty much.
- 2:41Speaker 3: Yeah, I woke up at at eight and I have
- 2:44Speaker 3: almost full battery.
- 2:45Speaker 5: You haven't been grinding as much as I have.
- 2:47Speaker 3: I've been writing on my on my laptop that it's
- 2:51Speaker 3: an alternative screen. Yeah, I don't know that, but I
- 2:54Speaker 3: do like that though.
- 2:55Speaker 1: I like it.
- 2:56Speaker 3: I like how being on my computer means that my screen.
- 2:59Speaker 5: On my phone can shack your screen time on your lap.
- 3:01Speaker 3: No, you cannot, it's too old. No, you purposefully have
- 3:05Speaker 3: an old one. It's almost a typewriter.
- 3:08Speaker 5: It's not a bad idea.
- 3:09Speaker 1: It's so nice that, like watching TV doesn't count as
- 3:11Speaker 1: screen time. Yeah.
- 3:12Speaker 5: Well that's the thing, is like people limit their screen
- 3:14Speaker 5: like and honestly, I don't know, I don't know, I
- 3:17Speaker 5: don't I guess I don't really have a problem with
- 3:18Speaker 5: it because I actually do believe looking at a laptop
- 3:21Speaker 5: or a TV or a monitor is definitely better than
- 3:24Speaker 5: just being hunched over doom scrolling.
- 3:26Speaker 3: I completely agree with that. Why a laptop is to
- 3:31Speaker 3: a phone what a book is to a porn magazine.
- 3:35Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, kind of. Yeah, it's actually pretty pretty good comparison.
- 3:38Speaker 1: But I reject the idea is that the high levels
- 3:42Speaker 1: of screen time or some kind of commentary on the
- 3:46Speaker 1: state of the youth, because if egg Rowland Poe.
- 3:50Speaker 5: Has because you don't have, it's because you don't know
- 3:51Speaker 5: any youth except for your own who are too young.
- 3:55Speaker 1: No I'm talking about I'm saying that it's like if
- 3:59Speaker 1: other generations had had phones on them as much.
- 4:02Speaker 3: Absolutely, it's not.
- 4:03Speaker 1: It's not like endemic of or like emblematic of the
- 4:08Speaker 1: kids these days. Yeah, I think it's the fact that
- 4:10Speaker 1: anybody who was a kid, as soon as phones came out,
- 4:13Speaker 1: like they were better people that would have like abstained.
- 4:16Speaker 3: To your point, Roan, which is a great point, by
- 4:19Speaker 3: the way. I think that ages ago there were books
- 4:23Speaker 3: that were considered yeah, trash band, they had banned reading
- 4:27Speaker 3: those Ruffian kids are reading those books.
- 4:30Speaker 1: People would probably go to art galleries to like look
- 4:32Speaker 1: at titties. They's always painted the odalisk post of like
- 4:37Speaker 1: just a lady's ass.
- 4:38Speaker 5: I also think I think kids in general, I think
- 4:40Speaker 5: they're using phones in a way that we don't even like.
- 4:43Speaker 5: I think we just assume they're using phones for like
- 4:46Speaker 5: like porn and.
- 4:47Speaker 1: TikTok, But they're watching porn on roadblocks.
- 4:50Speaker 3: Dude.
- 4:51Speaker 5: I was walking the other day. I live like right
- 4:52Speaker 5: by a bunch of schools, and there was a group
- 4:54Speaker 5: of kids standing. There's two kids standing looking at one phone.
- 4:57Speaker 3: Do you live by schools on purpose? No?
- 4:59Speaker 5: I just happened to live right by two schools.
- 5:01Speaker 3: So that's just luck for you.
- 5:02Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, it's luck. You think you're going to have
- 5:05Speaker 5: a talk good neighborhood, it's a good sign of it.
- 5:08Speaker 5: It's a sign of a good neighborhood. These are like healthy,
- 5:10Speaker 5: like happy kids, like they're excited to be alive.
- 5:13Speaker 3: Right.
- 5:14Speaker 1: You know there's only there's only school neighborhoods.
- 5:17Speaker 3: Oh yeah, for the most part, I know that a
- 5:21Speaker 3: lot of families will move to that neighborhood you live
- 5:24Speaker 3: in because of the.
- 5:25Speaker 5: Schools, because the schools are so strong.
- 5:27Speaker 3: Is there any part of it actually like you're placing
- 5:30Speaker 3: a family that could have their kids in those schools by.
- 5:32Speaker 5: Living my apartments definitely not meant for a family.
- 5:34Speaker 3: Well, it depends on where that family is from. Yeah, right,
- 5:38Speaker 3: because people from Venezuela can really live in small space.
- 5:40Speaker 5: But if you're from Venezuela, there's literally no benefit. Like
- 5:43Speaker 5: you like, there's zero benefit to buying my apartment other
- 5:47Speaker 5: than the area.
- 5:47Speaker 1: But there's families in your building, there isn't.
- 5:50Speaker 3: No.
- 5:50Speaker 1: I think I've seen people with like strollers at least.
- 5:53Speaker 3: No, there's no.
- 5:54Speaker 5: I've never seen a child in my apartment.
- 5:55Speaker 3: I helped someone carry up a stroller. I said, you
- 5:58Speaker 3: don't even have to fold that down. I got it.
- 6:00Speaker 5: Ever, the only people I see people like close to
- 6:02Speaker 5: my age and the people that are really old.
- 6:06Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:06Speaker 5: But anyways, what I was saying was I was walking
- 6:09Speaker 5: and there was two kids on a I actually wrote
- 6:12Speaker 5: down what they said because I thought it was so funny.
- 6:14Speaker 5: They were looking at a phone and one of them
- 6:17Speaker 5: looked at the other one and he goes, not, he
- 6:18Speaker 5: was not, I'm not going to that playground.
- 6:20Speaker 3: That's just a regular ass playground.
- 6:23Speaker 5: I was like the idea of like two kids pulling
- 6:26Speaker 5: out their phone and typing playground into Google Maps, Like
- 6:30Speaker 5: what's around here.
- 6:31Speaker 3: Yeah, reviews this playground is not what we thought it was. Yeah,
- 6:37Speaker 3: it's hilarious. Monkey bars are not high enough off the ground.
- 6:41Speaker 5: Yeah, saying it's just a regular playground.
- 6:44Speaker 3: Yeah, Teeter Totter needs w D forty.
- 6:47Speaker 5: I guess it does make sick payments.
- 6:51Speaker 3: Yeah, in New York.
- 6:52Speaker 1: Yeah, there's brand new ones. Yeah, but it's also proximity
- 6:56Speaker 1: to the hood. Sometimes they'll put incredible playgrounds right next
- 7:00Speaker 1: to the hood. Sometimes it's like is that bait?
- 7:04Speaker 2: You know?
- 7:05Speaker 1: Is that like are they trying to draw you into
- 7:07Speaker 1: that area.
- 7:08Speaker 5: We were at a playground. We were filming the other
- 7:10Speaker 5: day and we went to a playground to get like
- 7:13Speaker 5: a shot, and it was cruise chaos. Once they saw
- 7:16Speaker 5: the cameras. We got out of there pretty quick.
- 7:18Speaker 1: What were they doing?
- 7:19Speaker 5: There was a lot of kids and they all wanted
- 7:21Speaker 5: to be out there, like put me in the video,
- 7:23Speaker 5: and we we we had to. We like did like
- 7:25Speaker 5: one shot and like we should probably.
- 7:27Speaker 3: Get out of here, like bomb.
- 7:28Speaker 5: We also were leaving being like I was shocking that
- 7:31Speaker 5: no one came up to us and was like get
- 7:33Speaker 5: the fuck out of here.
- 7:34Speaker 1: Filming the kids?
- 7:35Speaker 5: It was it was it was like probably like five pm,
- 7:37Speaker 5: so it was late. He wasn't a school hour. Young
- 7:42Speaker 5: really like children.
- 7:44Speaker 3: This is in your neighborhood.
- 7:45Speaker 5: This was not in my neighborhood. Now, what's the was
- 7:48Speaker 5: close to here?
- 7:49Speaker 3: What's the age of the kids in your neighborhood for
- 7:50Speaker 3: the most part, Oh, I have no clue.
- 7:53Speaker 5: I would assume it's probably their middle schoolers if I
- 7:55Speaker 5: had to guess.
- 7:56Speaker 3: That's kind of what I figured was that.
- 7:58Speaker 1: Who's that kid like Kyo Martin or whatever. He's like
- 8:01Speaker 1: the bad kid in New York? What's his name? The
- 8:04Speaker 1: little kids like curly hair kid who like skates now
- 8:07Speaker 1: and ship like that and it just goes to coms
- 8:10Speaker 1: and ship like that goes to film festivals. But I
- 8:12Speaker 1: think he's like the archetype for the young crazy kid.
- 8:15Speaker 3: Is that the kid who gets the has the security guards?
- 8:18Speaker 5: No, that's Jack Jack Doherty.
- 8:20Speaker 1: This kid is signific kid younger.
- 8:22Speaker 5: Yeah, this kid's like nine.
- 8:24Speaker 3: You know what I'd like to do is I'd like
- 8:25Speaker 3: to hire some security guards and then have my security
- 8:28Speaker 3: guards fight Jack Dougherty's security guards.
- 8:30Speaker 5: I'm sure it's I'm sure they've tried to make it happen.
- 8:33Speaker 3: And then and then the sea of men around us parts,
- 8:37Speaker 3: like when Hector ends up finding Ajax or aa IAX
- 8:43Speaker 3: on the battlefield and the two leaders square off and fight. Yeah,
- 8:48Speaker 3: but he does again later with uh Achilles, his cousin.
- 8:53Speaker 1: Wasn't that supposed to be Paris's fight? But then Paris
- 8:56Speaker 1: pussied out.
- 8:59Speaker 3: Know that parents was supposed to fight men Allowis allows
- 9:03Speaker 3: over stealing Helen, Helen.
- 9:06Speaker 1: And then he like comes and like hugs his brother's ankle.
- 9:11Speaker 1: Bitch ass. Uh who's that actor? Uh?
- 9:15Speaker 3: That's Johnny did not know?
- 9:18Speaker 1: No, he's the guy that likes.
- 9:23Speaker 3: Husband. Yeah, I have no idea what you guys are
- 9:25Speaker 3: talking about.
- 9:26Speaker 1: No, No, have you ever seen Troy?
- 9:27Speaker 3: Now what? I don't like those movies.
- 9:29Speaker 5: I've never seen Troy. I've never seen three hundred. I've
- 9:32Speaker 5: never seen any of those.
- 9:33Speaker 1: Troy is different, Bro, Troy is not like Troy's different.
- 9:36Speaker 5: Yeah, it's all the same.
- 9:37Speaker 3: But no, he plays Orlando Bloom.
- 9:39Speaker 1: Orlando Bloom. Have you ever seen the video? Have you
- 9:42Speaker 1: ever seen the picture of Orlando Bloom surfing with Katy
- 9:44Speaker 1: Perry and he's just ass naked?
- 9:46Speaker 5: I don't think so.
- 9:47Speaker 1: You just see his it's a pretty.
- 9:49Speaker 5: I don't know, I don't know, I'm so bad with
- 9:51Speaker 5: actors and names. I only know the really big people.
- 9:54Speaker 3: Can I be honest with you, I'm not even gonna
- 9:56Speaker 3: I'm not even making a joke here. I haven't smoked
- 9:59Speaker 3: weed in like sick through seven days. Yeah, my recall
- 10:03Speaker 3: of actors names in that period has gotten so much better.
- 10:06Speaker 5: I've never been able to memorize actors names.
- 10:09Speaker 3: But I'm just saying, if you stop smoking for a
- 10:12Speaker 3: little bit, yeah, you get you'd get it back, you
- 10:15Speaker 3: get good. I've never seen that.
- 10:16Speaker 5: You see, Wow, Katie Perry's really gone through a rough patch.
- 10:23Speaker 1: Yes, bro, that's a little bit older. How insane is that? How?
- 10:26Speaker 1: How how insane is how naked he is? I love
- 10:29Speaker 1: that super naked but he has a hat and sunglasses on,
- 10:32Speaker 1: but his his full schlong is out.
- 10:35Speaker 5: And you got a lot of self confidence to rock
- 10:37Speaker 5: that one.
- 10:37Speaker 1: And she's.
- 10:39Speaker 5: An article like you, you can't you gotta go naked,
- 10:42Speaker 5: or you gotta you gotta go. If you're gonna go naked,
- 10:43Speaker 5: you gotta go full naked.
- 10:44Speaker 1: But you can't be more naked.
- 10:46Speaker 3: But having the hat and the shades.
- 10:48Speaker 5: On, that means you looked in the mirror like he
- 10:52Speaker 5: looked in the mirror and you were like these sunglasses,
- 10:53Speaker 5: and then you just ignored the fact that below is
- 10:57Speaker 5: completely bad.
- 10:57Speaker 1: Because it's not about the sun. Your penis is getting
- 11:00Speaker 1: sun burnt right now, like it's not about protection from
- 11:02Speaker 1: the sun.
- 11:03Speaker 3: Never absolutely fries my penis. I mean, you know, imagine
- 11:11Speaker 3: the rest of my skin times one hundred.
- 11:14Speaker 5: I don't think my penis has ever seen the sun.
- 11:16Speaker 5: And it never plants.
- 11:17Speaker 3: My penis burns like fucking cotton. It shrivels up instantly like.
- 11:24Speaker 1: That plantation fire. Yes, white building, fucking completely a blaze.
- 11:29Speaker 3: Yeah, it gets it's gets spots, then.
- 11:35Speaker 1: You get you get rocked up throwing the lotion.
- 11:38Speaker 3: Whenever I put the lotion on it, though, and it
- 11:40Speaker 3: burns through that. They say that the discharge, the sort
- 11:45Speaker 3: of goo that comes off of the burned penis lotion,
- 11:48Speaker 3: you're not supposed to put that down the kitchen sink.
- 11:51Speaker 3: Really supposed to wait until it solidifies and then throw
- 11:54Speaker 3: it out, otherwise it causes clogs under in the irrigation
- 11:59Speaker 3: system of the city. I've been, I've been.
- 12:01Speaker 1: There's a picture. I don't know if you say this
- 12:03Speaker 1: is just like from the same day. He's just asked naked,
- 12:06Speaker 1: just paparazzi from all angles like he just.
- 12:11Speaker 3: Not from you, shocking?
- 12:14Speaker 1: Sorry what were you saying? I just didn't want you
- 12:15Speaker 1: guys to miss out on blooms.
- 12:17Speaker 5: I just can't imagine going out in public like just naked,
- 12:20Speaker 5: not even like a like a you know, maybe like
- 12:22Speaker 5: a bag with some clothes to change into just in case.
- 12:26Speaker 3: Do you ever have the dream where you end up
- 12:28Speaker 3: a school naked or had? I used to have that
- 12:30Speaker 3: dream a lot?
- 12:32Speaker 5: Yeah, or like where you I would be like wearing
- 12:34Speaker 5: a pair of shorts that were uncomfortable in.
- 12:38Speaker 1: The dreams, and what would you take them off?
- 12:41Speaker 5: No? I couldn't do because that was always the thing I.
- 12:43Speaker 5: I used to wake up late for school, put on whatever,
- 12:46Speaker 5: and then go. And then I would get there and
- 12:49Speaker 5: I would be like, what the fuck am I wearing
- 12:50Speaker 5: right now? I would like go to the gym, walker room,
- 12:54Speaker 5: grab ship from my locker. It was always a whole thing.
- 12:58Speaker 1: Did you have uniforms?
- 13:00Speaker 3: I wish? Yeah?
- 13:01Speaker 5: Or because I went to private school for one year
- 13:04Speaker 5: in fifth grade and we had a dress code. Easiest
- 13:06Speaker 5: year because you just throw on a collared shirt and pants.
- 13:09Speaker 1: Dress code is nice. Dress code so easy because then
- 13:12Speaker 1: you kind of like dressed to like fuck the dress code.
- 13:15Speaker 5: Oh yeah, you're trying to see what, like see what
- 13:17Speaker 5: I can do?
- 13:17Speaker 3: Can I my canvas?
- 13:19Speaker 5: What can I create?
- 13:20Speaker 1: How can I color within the lines?
- 13:22Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 13:23Speaker 5: That's what it's like over red fucking f I t
- 13:25Speaker 5: oh boy.
- 13:26Speaker 3: You guys ever go walk through there? Wow, no wonder
- 13:30Speaker 3: they shut that street down. Any car accidents there would
- 13:34Speaker 3: be from people being like, what the fuck, it's a
- 13:37Speaker 3: freak show. It is nuts. It's crazy. The combination of
- 13:41Speaker 3: like my Little Pony meets Hello Kitty meets like the
- 13:45Speaker 3: matrix is that school?
- 13:47Speaker 5: So like that school I assume is like any other
- 13:50Speaker 5: school where you would go and you would like, say,
- 13:52Speaker 5: if you wanted to be a screenwriting major and you
- 13:53Speaker 5: major in screenwriting and then but you still got.
- 13:55Speaker 1: To take like math and shit like that, right, I
- 13:59Speaker 1: don't think so.
- 14:00Speaker 5: Now they're just taking classes on throwing fits. Really Yeah
- 14:04Speaker 5: that's crazy.
- 14:06Speaker 1: Yeah, Like you'll see like a steampunk goth wedding dress
- 14:10Speaker 1: and it'll just be like a nineteen year old on
- 14:13Speaker 1: their way to damn near math class.
- 14:15Speaker 3: I mean, those people almost have to wake up eight
- 14:16Speaker 3: hours before. I know. But you know what, even my
- 14:20Speaker 3: untrained eye. I go through a pack of those kids
- 14:23Speaker 3: and I can spot the one kid where I'm like
- 14:25Speaker 3: that kid does it did better? Oh he has it.
- 14:31Speaker 3: He has it more than the other kid. Most of
- 14:33Speaker 3: them don't have it. Most of them don't have it. Yeah.
- 14:35Speaker 1: Yeah, they're just throwing like they're just vomiting on their Yeah,
- 14:38Speaker 1: everything they can, they're going to like a vintage story.
- 14:42Speaker 5: It's a lot of tough fists.
- 14:44Speaker 3: You cut the fucking mud flaps off your shoulders.
- 14:48Speaker 1: You just have like parking colors for seas, like walking
- 14:51Speaker 1: straight out like Patrick SpongeBob.
- 14:54Speaker 5: Yeah, it's like, yeah, we were, we were there, and
- 14:56Speaker 5: we were we were filming right on that street, the
- 14:59Speaker 5: closed street, and uh yeah. The whole time I was
- 15:02Speaker 5: just looking at those kids and I was like this
- 15:04Speaker 5: and in.
- 15:05Speaker 1: A weird way, like I think that they it's supposed
- 15:07Speaker 1: to be intimidating. It's supposed to feel intimidating to walk around,
- 15:10Speaker 1: but you know that they're like the most self conscious
- 15:14Speaker 1: to throw something that like detailed on. It's not like
- 15:17Speaker 1: you're just like throwing whatever, but it's like this layered
- 15:20Speaker 1: like pedophore with like garters and like you look like
- 15:25Speaker 1: a Shepherd and ridiculous.
- 15:28Speaker 3: Yeah, it's it's lingerie on top of like a track suit. Yeah,
- 15:33Speaker 3: they I will again. I would imagine that all those
- 15:39Speaker 3: kids are very competitive with each other and judgmental, very
- 15:43Speaker 3: judgment and so the body dysmorphia or the clothing dysmorphia.
- 15:48Speaker 1: Probably more clothing dysmorphia is.
- 15:49Speaker 3: Probably worse there than anywhere else.
- 15:52Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, there's definitely no body dysmorphia. I could
- 15:56Speaker 5: eight percent. There's probably one average. I have wait for
- 16:00Speaker 5: our body fat percentage.
- 16:02Speaker 1: No, that's not true.
- 16:03Speaker 3: Yeah, all of those kids are fucking skin and bone.
- 16:07Speaker 5: No, it's Timothy shallow May if he lost weight exactly he.
- 16:13Speaker 3: Was preparing for.
- 16:15Speaker 1: Yeahs to Jesus, I feel like you see some different
- 16:20Speaker 1: body sizes, body types, not that I judge.
- 16:22Speaker 5: Not on the main campus, that's for sure. Maybe on like, Yeah,
- 16:29Speaker 5: if you fit Hoboken.
- 16:34Speaker 1: Hoping to get the call up, congratulations you've been accepted
- 16:39Speaker 1: to fit.
- 16:41Speaker 5: I got one of those emails when I was when
- 16:44Speaker 5: I was getting like my call when I was in
- 16:45Speaker 5: my college applications, I got an email from University of
- 16:49Speaker 5: Pittsburgh and I wanted to go there, and I got
- 16:53Speaker 5: an email. It was like, congratulations, you've been accepted University
- 16:55Speaker 5: of Pittsburgh. And I didn't read anybody else, and I
- 16:57Speaker 5: sent it to my family and I was like, I
- 16:59Speaker 5: got into Pittsburgh and they were like, no, you got into.
- 17:02Speaker 3: The pan Did you apply to it?
- 17:07Speaker 5: No, you can apply to the main college and then
- 17:09Speaker 5: they can still just be like we're gonna send you
- 17:11Speaker 5: to the pit el equipped like we're gonna give We're
- 17:13Speaker 5: gonna say no, you're not You're definitely not getting in here.
- 17:15Speaker 5: But if you go here for a year, you might
- 17:18Speaker 5: be you have a way better chance of being able
- 17:20Speaker 5: to transfer into the So you.
- 17:21Speaker 3: Did apply to pitt but they got you into their
- 17:25Speaker 3: to their school campus.
- 17:26Speaker 1: I had a boy who, my boy Mike, had a
- 17:28Speaker 1: shirt that said like they gave it out to everybody
- 17:30Speaker 1: that got into pen and it was like I got
- 17:34Speaker 1: into Penn. And then he wrote on state a tuna
- 17:39Speaker 1: waiting list. Hopefully it's a great shirt. Incredible shirt.
- 17:46Speaker 5: They were gonna start making funny shirts like that.
- 17:48Speaker 1: Again, no one's made a funny shirt since fuck you
- 17:50Speaker 1: you fuck yeah yeah, and that one sucks. It was
- 17:55Speaker 1: funny right when it came out.
- 17:56Speaker 5: It was funny immediately, and then it was, and then
- 17:59Speaker 5: Michael Rappaport and people started, Yeah, there's always the wrong
- 18:03Speaker 5: people wearing it.
- 18:05Speaker 3: Yeah, it's not funny.
- 18:07Speaker 1: Or it's like you're coming to New York as a
- 18:08Speaker 1: tourist and you buy it like I am like the locals.
- 18:11Speaker 3: Yeah, I used word.
- 18:15Speaker 1: Many times, adjective.
- 18:18Speaker 5: No oh man, What was the last time you guys
- 18:24Speaker 5: experienced genuine fear for your life? For me, it was
- 18:30Speaker 5: about forty five minutes ago.
- 18:34Speaker 1: Are you talking about from like, uh, like on a
- 18:38Speaker 1: bike or something like.
- 18:39Speaker 5: Anytime or I guess if it was on a bike,
- 18:41Speaker 5: if we're counting bikes. It was twice today for starters A.
- 18:45Speaker 3: I hit a car.
- 18:48Speaker 5: That was moving. He hit me more than I hit him.
- 18:52Speaker 5: Same thing.
- 18:52Speaker 3: I know, I'm on the bike.
- 18:53Speaker 1: One person can hit the other person.
- 18:55Speaker 3: Well, then he hit me. I was on a bike.
- 18:57Speaker 3: I'm in the bike lane. He doesn't see me.
- 18:59Speaker 5: He just he's on a parallel park, just goes straight
- 19:01Speaker 5: in front of me. I smashed into his window and
- 19:05Speaker 5: I almost punched his I thought about punching it, giving.
- 19:07Speaker 1: It a good you get angry in a situation.
- 19:09Speaker 5: But then I was like now, and then I just
- 19:11Speaker 5: said what the fuck, dude, And he just went. It
- 19:14Speaker 5: was just some random guy. That part didn't really but
- 19:16Speaker 5: I was already so mad at that point that it
- 19:18Speaker 5: didn't really care.
- 19:18Speaker 3: It didn't make it worse.
- 19:19Speaker 5: Yeah, I know that one. I was like, whatever, who gives?
- 19:21Speaker 1: He just got up like the terminator. Yeah.
- 19:24Speaker 5: Oh, I didn't even fall off my bike, but I
- 19:26Speaker 5: slammed on the brakes and I was gliding, sliding, every
- 19:29Speaker 5: hydro planing. Yeah, I hated that.
- 19:31Speaker 6: Scary.
- 19:32Speaker 1: That's scary for sure.
- 19:33Speaker 5: Luckily I have calm reflexes, you know. I was able
- 19:35Speaker 5: to cool myself down. Really, that's the cod quick Yeah.
- 19:39Speaker 5: And uh no, the crazy one though, I got. I
- 19:41Speaker 5: was on the subway and we stopped at thirty fourth,
- 19:44Speaker 5: so I passed my stop, and.
- 19:47Speaker 3: Uh, why did this happen? Why did you pass your stop?
- 19:51Speaker 5: We flew by.
- 19:51Speaker 3: It was a whole thing. Oh, you didn't even that's
- 19:54Speaker 3: what happened. No, stop at your place.
- 19:57Speaker 5: No, that's not what happened.
- 19:58Speaker 3: The door's open. You just didn't get off.
- 20:00Speaker 5: Oh, the door's never opened. It was the thing when
- 20:02Speaker 5: you're looking and you're oh, there's.
- 20:03Speaker 3: My stop, and then.
- 20:05Speaker 5: Fly by it and then you it's never It's never
- 20:08Speaker 5: like one. It's you go like eight stops down to
- 20:11Speaker 5: the next one. Yeah, you're in Like, okay, so now
- 20:13Speaker 5: I'm forty five minutes away from the destination that I was.
- 20:17Speaker 3: No, Penn Station's one stop past.
- 20:19Speaker 5: You get what I'm saying, though, But pretty much, do
- 20:22Speaker 5: you know what new leaf? You're right, you've never You've
- 20:25Speaker 5: never been on the train where it skips a stop.
- 20:27Speaker 3: I have. I just have never been on a train
- 20:29Speaker 3: where it skips eight stops. You've never had that happen.
- 20:32Speaker 3: I've had it skip one stop. Oh.
- 20:35Speaker 5: Most of the times happens to me. It's like all
- 20:37Speaker 5: of a sudden, I'm in the Lower east Side and
- 20:39Speaker 5: you're like, what the fuck is happening? Because it's always
- 20:41Speaker 5: like you're on it and you're like, this feels like
- 20:43Speaker 5: a long time for us to be going from point
- 20:46Speaker 5: A to point B. And then you look and you're like, oh,
- 20:48Speaker 5: now we're at point F.
- 20:50Speaker 3: Usually they'll tell you at at a stop it was
- 20:53Speaker 3: a little hard to hear, we're not gonna we're gonna
- 20:56Speaker 3: skip a couple of stops.
- 20:57Speaker 5: And typically you would hear that if there wasn't the
- 21:00Speaker 5: homeless person screaming like I've never like I've never and
- 21:06Speaker 5: I'm I'm not. I usually don't tell stories about homeless
- 21:09Speaker 5: people because I feel like it's like everyone has the
- 21:11Speaker 5: exact same experience and it's not interesting at all.
- 21:13Speaker 1: But this was like, it's also homeless people. Most of
- 21:16Speaker 1: the time, it's annoying, but most of them haven't been like,
- 21:19Speaker 1: you know what, I'm gonna be homeless today. Yes, it's
- 21:22Speaker 1: not like a chosen pass.
- 21:23Speaker 5: Yeah, this one was more like, like, I've had homeless
- 21:28Speaker 5: people get in my face. I've had I had a
- 21:30Speaker 5: homeless ude tell me he's gonna kill me, He's gonna
- 21:31Speaker 5: stab me to death. That ship has never once phased me. Today,
- 21:36Speaker 5: I'm on the train. The train stops and I hear someone.
- 21:40Speaker 5: It sounded like someone on the car over, but I'm
- 21:42Speaker 5: not sure if this guy was ever.
- 21:44Speaker 3: On the train.
- 21:45Speaker 5: And he and and I hear like screw, like wailing scream,
- 21:48Speaker 5: like like zombies from Black Ops two and and and
- 21:56Speaker 5: he's yelling something over and over.
- 21:58Speaker 3: I can't hear what it is.
- 21:59Speaker 5: And I was like, where the fuck is? And I
- 22:01Speaker 5: turn and he's all he's right outside of my car
- 22:04Speaker 5: and I'm the only I'm the closest person to him,
- 22:06Speaker 5: and he locks onto my eyes, and he's dude, he's
- 22:10Speaker 5: punching the wall of the subway car as hard as
- 22:13Speaker 5: he like it. The train was shaking every time his
- 22:16Speaker 5: fist hit the car.
- 22:18Speaker 3: What the frock?
- 22:19Speaker 5: And then so I'm sitting there and now I'm in
- 22:20Speaker 5: fight or flight. I'm like, I'm looking around, I'm like,
- 22:23Speaker 5: are we running? Like, because it looks like he was
- 22:26Speaker 5: gonna come on the training you were in slighter flight. Yeah,
- 22:29Speaker 5: you're like thatch exit. And I'm looking at the dude
- 22:31Speaker 5: next to me, across from me, and I'm like, this
- 22:34Speaker 5: guy's a little bit bigger than me. I feel like
- 22:36Speaker 5: he'll probably step in if this guy tries to kill me.
- 22:40Speaker 5: And then he but he was looking up too, like
- 22:41Speaker 5: he looked nervous too.
- 22:43Speaker 3: Yeah, and then we.
- 22:46Speaker 5: Yeah, and we kind of just sat there. And then
- 22:49Speaker 5: when I really got angry is they wouldn't close the doors.
- 22:56Speaker 5: Like we sat there for like for like two straight
- 22:58Speaker 5: minutes with this dude just pounding on the fucking outside
- 23:01Speaker 5: of the car and I was just waiting for him
- 23:03Speaker 5: to come in and kill us all but they just
- 23:06Speaker 5: never closed the door.
- 23:08Speaker 1: Wait, so why couldn't he get in if the door
- 23:09Speaker 1: wasn't closed?
- 23:10Speaker 5: The cops showed up, Like the cops showed up, Like, right, why.
- 23:13Speaker 3: Are you complaining about the doors not closing if the
- 23:16Speaker 3: cops were there?
- 23:17Speaker 5: Well, because if it was a situation that needed the
- 23:18Speaker 5: police to come detain the guy, don't you think they
- 23:20Speaker 5: would close the subway doors.
- 23:22Speaker 3: I see what you're saying.
- 23:23Speaker 5: If this guy that's not on the subway and there's
- 23:25Speaker 5: no one else on the platform, and do you think
- 23:27Speaker 5: they would like So, there.
- 23:27Speaker 3: Was a period there where the doors were open and
- 23:29Speaker 3: he was pounding on the car, but he wouldn't come
- 23:31Speaker 3: on the car. He just couldn't find it, like he
- 23:33Speaker 3: would like peek in and then step out.
- 23:35Speaker 5: It was horrifying, dude.
- 23:38Speaker 3: I haven't felt like a genuine like.
- 23:41Speaker 1: Holy shit like that zombie dude.
- 23:45Speaker 3: It was like, it wasn't like the typical I.
- 23:47Speaker 5: Mean, you know, like the people that are homeless and
- 23:50Speaker 5: they're doing crack or whatever, and you know, you see
- 23:53Speaker 5: them and they're yelling, but you know you can just
- 23:55Speaker 5: go around. This was the only time I've ever felt like, oh,
- 23:57Speaker 5: this guy actually will swing on me.
- 24:00Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 24:00Speaker 5: Yeah, And it gets frustrating because then you get it,
- 24:03Speaker 5: then it ends and you're like, why are I pretending
- 24:06Speaker 5: that that's a normal thing to see every single day.
- 24:09Speaker 3: Listen to me, I'm ready to go. It's fucking crazy.
- 24:12Speaker 3: I'm ready to fucking go. But it's everywhere. I'm ready
- 24:15Speaker 3: to not live in this city.
- 24:16Speaker 1: But it's not just New York.
- 24:18Speaker 3: I will continue to work here. I love working here,
- 24:20Speaker 3: and I like New York City. I do not like
- 24:22Speaker 3: living here.
- 24:24Speaker 5: That was my That combined with then realizing I was
- 24:28Speaker 5: past my stop and then getting hit by a car
- 24:31Speaker 5: on the way to the office from the train.
- 24:33Speaker 3: It's only gonna get after.
- 24:34Speaker 5: I missed the stop, was like enough to be like,
- 24:37Speaker 5: this fucking sucks.
- 24:38Speaker 3: It's only gonna get worse. Brother.
- 24:39Speaker 5: You know what really it is though, it's just when
- 24:41Speaker 5: it rains in the city. I think when it rains
- 24:44Speaker 5: in the city it war.
- 24:46Speaker 3: Yeah, that's true, because now the tourists are here and
- 24:49Speaker 3: they are adding and all the homeless people come out
- 24:52Speaker 3: and they're like, oh, it's it's we can, we can,
- 24:56Speaker 3: we can be outside, we can, we can, we can
- 24:59Speaker 3: get our exers And that guy's getting that's his workout
- 25:03Speaker 3: for the days. Pounding on the subway door.
- 25:07Speaker 5: It was literally like if fucking Saquon Barkley was on
- 25:09Speaker 5: the tracks.
- 25:13Speaker 3: He was one of the biggest people I've ever seen.
- 25:15Speaker 5: He wasn't one of those drug addicts that's skinny and frail.
- 25:18Speaker 5: He had a fucking wife beater on Quadzilla.
- 25:21Speaker 3: Yeah, he had a wife beater on.
- 25:22Speaker 5: He had a gallon jug of water that he was
- 25:25Speaker 5: just smashing on.
- 25:26Speaker 3: This guys hydrating dude.
- 25:28Speaker 5: Yeah, did you bike Probably because he took creatine.
- 25:31Speaker 1: You biked in today a bit ago though it wasn't raining.
- 25:34Speaker 3: Did you see through Chinatown You're coming along the bike
- 25:38Speaker 3: path on the right, there all those lights like before
- 25:43Speaker 3: you take the left next to the park. Yeah, next
- 25:45Speaker 3: to the park. I think it was right towards the
- 25:47Speaker 3: end of that. On the right there was a homeless
- 25:49Speaker 3: guy who was asleep with half of his body on
- 25:53Speaker 3: the curb and half off.
- 25:55Speaker 1: That's like a Tony Hawk obstacle.
- 25:57Speaker 3: Dude. I thought I was. I've never been so or
- 26:00Speaker 3: that someone was dead. Oh, that's the thing. Yeah, it
- 26:04Speaker 3: was so clearly not a position that anyone would fall asleep.
- 26:08Speaker 3: And even even with the worst drug come down or whatever,
- 26:13Speaker 3: even if some collapsed and fell asleep, you're not falling
- 26:16Speaker 3: in that position. This guy was dead, and people were
- 26:20Speaker 3: just kind of like gently swerving around his leg, But
- 26:23Speaker 3: pretty soon people are going to start running over his leg, yeah,
- 26:26Speaker 3: and mashing him into the sidewalk like they do with
- 26:30Speaker 3: the rat carcasses.
- 26:33Speaker 1: You add to the layer and you're like, is that gum?
- 26:36Speaker 1: Or is that a man?
- 26:38Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 26:38Speaker 1: Is that a grown up adult man?
- 26:40Speaker 5: Well, that's what will happen is you'll get home from
- 26:42Speaker 5: work one day and you're like, what the fuck is
- 26:43Speaker 5: on my Is that guy on my shoe?
- 26:45Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 26:45Speaker 5: Oh that's human as human remains.
- 26:49Speaker 1: Unfortunately, I still love living in New York. I think
- 26:52Speaker 1: it's so beautiful.
- 26:53Speaker 3: Oh man, it's never there.
- 26:56Speaker 5: I went on the most, don't I don't even like
- 26:58Speaker 5: the skyline. When I see the skyline them like, it's
- 27:02Speaker 5: just it's too much.
- 27:03Speaker 3: Yeah, why is it? There's so many people, do you know?
- 27:06Speaker 3: They're so condemned. You and I could go in together
- 27:09Speaker 3: on a sick park, on a cabin, on a on
- 27:14Speaker 3: a river where it comes with your own little parcel
- 27:17Speaker 3: of the river, right yeah, private water though, private water,
- 27:21Speaker 3: and we'll just we don't have to be there at
- 27:23Speaker 3: the same time. I'm not trying to like crowd you.
- 27:25Speaker 1: You could get like a duplex. You guys could or
- 27:27Speaker 1: like two townhouses next to each other. I think that
- 27:30Speaker 1: that's realistic too. If you're getting the cabin on the
- 27:33Speaker 1: river I want the river lifestyle does seem amazing. I've
- 27:37Speaker 1: always wanted to live on a river, but the flooding though.
- 27:39Speaker 5: Tight river though, I'm not living on a wide river.
- 27:42Speaker 3: No, I know, I know. We want to be able
- 27:44Speaker 3: to fish. I think we do that. I think we
- 27:47Speaker 3: start looking at that.
- 27:48Speaker 5: What about already looking in Wyoming?
- 27:50Speaker 3: That's too far away, man, Not really, what are you
- 27:53Speaker 3: talking about. We can't go all the way out there.
- 27:54Speaker 3: We have to be able to get to work.
- 27:58Speaker 5: Wi FI is all you really needed.
- 28:00Speaker 1: Are you gonna do spots in Wyoming?
- 28:02Speaker 5: No, that's the point. That's the point of going to Wyoming.
- 28:07Speaker 1: Never doing a spot again. No, I am, but you're
- 28:10Speaker 1: gonna miss your spot spots tomorrow. Really check the calendar.
- 28:15Speaker 3: Yes, I do.
- 28:17Speaker 1: Like what kind of which river are you talking about?
- 28:20Speaker 3: I'm not sure the snake. I think there are a
- 28:22Speaker 3: fair amount that are up there.
- 28:24Speaker 5: It sounds like it's heart set on the snake.
- 28:26Speaker 1: So you're talking north of north of New York, yeah,
- 28:29Speaker 1: north of New York. Yeah, And then you transport down
- 28:32Speaker 1: into the city.
- 28:33Speaker 3: Maybe Connecticut. I don't know.
- 28:35Speaker 5: Oh, oh, I guess I know what you mean.
- 28:38Speaker 3: I'm not talking about Granwich, Connecticut. Yeah, I'm talking about
- 28:42Speaker 3: more rural Connecticut. Yeah, there's everyone talks about how Connecticut
- 28:45Speaker 3: is this really rich state. Well, there's parts of Connecticut
- 28:47Speaker 3: that are just it's just you have to go farther
- 28:49Speaker 3: away from New York City.
- 28:51Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 28:52Speaker 5: Also there's a most of the cities in Connecticut are
- 28:54Speaker 5: not nice. Hartford, yeah, British poor.
- 28:59Speaker 1: But I don't think you guys are talking about living
- 29:01Speaker 1: in a city. I think you guys are talking about
- 29:02Speaker 1: country living.
- 29:03Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 29:03Speaker 5: If I was going to live in a city, if
- 29:04Speaker 5: I was going to live in I don't really think
- 29:06Speaker 5: there would be like I have no interest in moving
- 29:08Speaker 5: to another city.
- 29:09Speaker 1: I think you want to live in a holler. Yeah,
- 29:11Speaker 1: you want to live on the West Virginia Yeah.
- 29:14Speaker 3: Or Sharon, Connecticut, or West Cornwall. Oh yeah, right up
- 29:18Speaker 3: there on the Housatonic. Oh we fished it, you and me. Yeah,
- 29:24Speaker 3: think about that river. Imagine if we had one of
- 29:26Speaker 3: those little even a houseboat, houseboat, Imagine that that would
- 29:32Speaker 3: be so nue not a bad idea, not privy to uh,
- 29:35Speaker 3: you know, you don't. We don't have to pay taxes
- 29:39Speaker 3: on the water.
- 29:39Speaker 1: Float the Hudson on a houseboat, well, Mark Twain action.
- 29:42Speaker 5: How do you get a little rocky Why, Hudson's a
- 29:45Speaker 5: big body of water.
- 29:47Speaker 1: Yeah, but I mean you've got a whole house on it. Yeah,
- 29:49Speaker 1: you don't have a little cigarette boat on it.
- 29:51Speaker 5: Your fucking your house pretty small?
- 29:55Speaker 1: Well, what about a mansion boat? A mansion boat, now
- 29:57Speaker 1: we're talking a whole lass mansion. Do you ever go
- 30:01Speaker 1: down by that marina on like Peer eight or whatever,
- 30:04Speaker 1: and there's like kind of like yachts down there on
- 30:07Speaker 1: the on the water in Brooklyn, Yeah, near the soccer field. Yeah,
- 30:10Speaker 1: by the soccer field. There's some beautiful boats down there.
- 30:13Speaker 1: They just expanded it. Sometimes people will park a deal
- 30:16Speaker 1: and I'll just go down and I kind of just
- 30:18Speaker 1: look at the boats and just pine for these boats
- 30:22Speaker 1: probably cost a million dollars to park the boat there.
- 30:24Speaker 1: Where you guys gonna park your damn house boat?
- 30:26Speaker 3: I have no idea.
- 30:27Speaker 5: We haven't thought that far.
- 30:29Speaker 1: Well.
- 30:29Speaker 5: The plan is to float from the top of the
- 30:31Speaker 5: Hudson down start an upstate wake our way down to the.
- 30:35Speaker 1: Just ceremoniously starting off your journey the two of you
- 30:38Speaker 1: on top of the house but drinking dark modelas that
- 30:44Speaker 1: would be so respectable.
- 30:46Speaker 5: Yeah for me, it's for me personally, it's it's when
- 30:48Speaker 5: it rains in the city is when is when shit
- 30:51Speaker 5: really gets.
- 30:52Speaker 1: And it has been raining for like ten of the
- 30:54Speaker 1: last fourty Yeah, it's.
- 30:55Speaker 3: Really been rain in You know where you don't experience
- 30:59Speaker 3: this level of sort of disorder.
- 31:02Speaker 1: Anywhere that you have Austin, Texas, wherever Rogan is Dallas.
- 31:07Speaker 3: Dallas does not have this. Do you know why because
- 31:10Speaker 3: it's all highways. Because everyone has a gun. Yeah, yeah, true.
- 31:14Speaker 3: You know what keeps people in order. Guns a good
- 31:16Speaker 3: guy with the threat of being shot dead.
- 31:19Speaker 1: No one even Hanks.
- 31:20Speaker 5: There really should be armed guards on every subway there.
- 31:23Speaker 5: That's what you pan would do.
- 31:24Speaker 3: I saw a real case in Dallas to be made
- 31:29Speaker 3: for living under the fear that if you try to
- 31:32Speaker 3: cut someone off on the highway, or cut in front
- 31:35Speaker 3: of people on a merge, or you know, cut the
- 31:38Speaker 3: line whatever one with your they're gonna get out of
- 31:41Speaker 3: their car and they're gonna come up and tap on
- 31:43Speaker 3: your window with the butt of their gun and shoot
- 31:45Speaker 3: you between the eyes.
- 31:46Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 31:48Speaker 3: Yeah, we need more of that, and then they'll reach
- 31:49Speaker 3: through the window and put your car in neutral, gather
- 31:52Speaker 3: a couple of boys to push the car off to
- 31:54Speaker 3: the side of the road so it's not in the
- 31:55Speaker 3: way anymore, and then traffic resumes is normal.
- 31:58Speaker 1: They all have F two fifty, so they'll just you
- 32:00Speaker 1: the next car to throw your.
- 32:02Speaker 3: Body exactly, and you know what, there probably will be
- 32:06Speaker 3: a lawsuit and those people are all gonna get off. Yeah.
- 32:09Speaker 5: Oh that's the best part. Self defense.
- 32:12Speaker 1: Yeah, standard ground.
- 32:13Speaker 5: Yeah, it's always self defense, Castle doctrine.
- 32:15Speaker 3: Yeah, that guy drove his car into my house, into
- 32:18Speaker 3: the budroom.
- 32:19Speaker 5: I mean, New York's got to be the only place
- 32:21Speaker 5: where you could literally hit someone with your car and
- 32:23Speaker 5: then all you got to do is just give him
- 32:25Speaker 5: a wave and then that's it.
- 32:26Speaker 3: That's the end of it.
- 32:27Speaker 5: Dude literally hit me with his car. He ran into
- 32:31Speaker 5: me as I was biking, and all that happened in
- 32:34Speaker 5: the interaction is I used the weight of the car
- 32:37Speaker 5: to make sure I didn't fall over, lifted myself off
- 32:41Speaker 5: of it, and then kept biting.
- 32:42Speaker 1: He was like, do you get a fingerprint on my car?
- 32:44Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 32:46Speaker 1: Is that a handprint on my car? You better clean
- 32:48Speaker 1: that same same way, though, if you smoke the fucking
- 32:53Speaker 1: another car, you could probably just go off. True quick broke, well, true,
- 32:58Speaker 1: Why are you so disaffected by the city.
- 33:01Speaker 3: Because biking into work, which was my favorite way to
- 33:04Speaker 3: get to work, has become hard, and I'm tired of
- 33:09Speaker 3: how expensive everything is. You know, money just fucking falls
- 33:14Speaker 3: into a hole somewhere. This morning, I had to take
- 33:18Speaker 3: an I had to take a cab and it wasn't
- 33:22Speaker 3: far fucking five minute cab, seven minute cab, and it's
- 33:28Speaker 3: the meter started at six dollars and eighty cents. Oh yeah,
- 33:32Speaker 3: I was like, what have you done so far to
- 33:36Speaker 3: earn that? Did you enter? Are am? I? Are you
- 33:40Speaker 3: picking me up inside of a toll? What the fuck
- 33:44Speaker 3: is that about? Where is that fee coming from? I
- 33:47Speaker 3: don't know.
- 33:48Speaker 1: I took a cab in Chicago that went up as
- 33:51Speaker 1: time and distance happened. They didn't pick one, It just
- 33:55Speaker 1: like compounded, so every second it was they were really
- 33:59Speaker 1: fucking me. It was like airport pickup two. So I
- 34:01Speaker 1: was fucked. I had nothing I could do.
- 34:03Speaker 3: This whole week.
- 34:03Speaker 5: Ubers have been ninety dollars rain.
- 34:06Speaker 1: It's the rain, the damn rain. Remember when Uber first
- 34:11Speaker 1: came out and it was like very inexpensive.
- 34:13Speaker 3: Well, it went up first and then it came way
- 34:15Speaker 3: down because they let so many more people have the licenses.
- 34:20Speaker 1: You remember that they were giving them registers supply.
- 34:22Speaker 3: And there was a there was a period there where
- 34:24Speaker 3: you'd call an uber and the second you hit confirm,
- 34:28Speaker 3: a car would pull up. Yeah.
- 34:31Speaker 1: Now ubers can like they're they're begging, they're picking and choosing.
- 34:34Speaker 3: The ones in it.
- 34:35Speaker 5: I've noticed in other cities it's a lot cheaper, like
- 34:37Speaker 5: you can get like in La the ubers.
- 34:39Speaker 3: But the thing is, I took a four dollars and
- 34:41Speaker 3: eighty cent Uber in Chicago. Yeah, from where our hotel
- 34:43Speaker 3: was to the office. Yeah, that's what a lot of
- 34:45Speaker 3: them are. They thought it was a joke.
- 34:46Speaker 5: Yeah, they'll be like seven bucks. But they're also they
- 34:50Speaker 5: take a lot longer to get there and uh and
- 34:54Speaker 5: they suck. So there's also that factor. I mean, the
- 34:58Speaker 5: Chicago transit to situation.
- 35:00Speaker 1: Is standing out. The fact that they don't have their
- 35:05Speaker 1: trains underground and the coldest city that God ever created
- 35:08Speaker 1: is fucking preposterous.
- 35:09Speaker 5: Yeah, but it's like, dude, when we we were I
- 35:12Speaker 5: was staying at the Citizen m and we were doing
- 35:14Speaker 5: spots of the laugh Factory, and we went back to
- 35:16Speaker 5: the Citizen m. You have stayed there like three times.
- 35:20Speaker 1: Wait, you booked it yourself.
- 35:21Speaker 3: No, they booked me there.
- 35:23Speaker 5: The barstool does Okay, I got it. I was there
- 35:27Speaker 5: for barstool shit, and I was doing spots while I
- 35:30Speaker 5: was there, and it was either it was the place
- 35:33Speaker 5: was like two miles away, and it was either a
- 35:37Speaker 5: thirty minute drive or like a forty five minute train ride.
- 35:43Speaker 5: And I looked at the train and it stops literally
- 35:45Speaker 5: at like every single block.
- 35:48Speaker 1: Well, it goes through people's apartment. Yeah, that's what it is,
- 35:51Speaker 1: so people just have to get out into their living room.
- 35:53Speaker 3: Yeah. It's a shit show. It's a total shit show.
- 35:56Speaker 1: I can't imagine standing on an l platform in Trico
- 36:00Speaker 1: go every day waiting for the train and the dead
- 36:02Speaker 1: of winter, just getting your skin stripped off of you
- 36:05Speaker 1: by wind. Yeah, just a skeleton standing there by the
- 36:09Speaker 1: end of it.
- 36:10Speaker 5: It ain't right.
- 36:10Speaker 1: You've got a good banana, bro, I got this fucking bullshit.
- 36:13Speaker 5: A nasty one is disgusting, bro. I'm glad you boys
- 36:17Speaker 5: are mixing in some fibers, though.
- 36:20Speaker 1: There's oatmeal have a lot of fiber. Uh, I believe
- 36:24Speaker 1: I've been crushing cans of beans. My wife is disgusted
- 36:28Speaker 1: by it.
- 36:28Speaker 5: That's got a lot of fiber.
- 36:29Speaker 1: Just a whole can of black beans. Throwing some pickled pinos. Wow,
- 36:33Speaker 1: such a nice treat.
- 36:35Speaker 5: Sounds awful, straight black beans.
- 36:39Speaker 1: It's like an actual hobo meal.
- 36:40Speaker 5: Yeah, it sounds like after one bite you'd be full.
- 36:43Speaker 3: It is.
- 36:43Speaker 1: It's really feeling. I mean, poops are never going to
- 36:47Speaker 1: be so beautiful in your life.
- 36:48Speaker 3: I drank for Margarita's last night. Damn the hell I
- 36:52Speaker 3: don't know they were so they were so good. Spices, well,
- 36:57Speaker 3: I had one that was a I started with a
- 37:00Speaker 3: spicy mes cow. Goddamn, that was pretty good. Bro, cosmet
- 37:07Speaker 3: that loco, you know that spot very nice. You'd like it,
- 37:12Speaker 3: hair Ball Loco. I'm sorry, Cosma, Cosme, Cosme.
- 37:21Speaker 5: I gotta get out to Cosme, get some of those
- 37:23Speaker 5: famous marks I've been hearing about.
- 37:25Speaker 3: Did I ever tell you that the last time I
- 37:28Speaker 3: went and ate there, I was sitting down and then
- 37:31Speaker 3: right next to me was Andrew Schultz and his girlfriend
- 37:37Speaker 3: at the time. Yeah, and then I left because we
- 37:39Speaker 3: finished first, and right after I left, he proposed to her.
- 37:43Speaker 5: Oh wow, right there, interesting Nicol. Yeah, maybe he was
- 37:46Speaker 5: waiting for you to leave the whole time. I think so,
- 37:48Speaker 5: you think kind of seemed like it. I could see it.
- 37:51Speaker 5: It's probably like I don't want to do this with
- 37:52Speaker 5: the fucking Francis just sitting there.
- 37:54Speaker 3: I get that.
- 37:55Speaker 1: Yeah, Or like you, he proposes and you continue to
- 37:58Speaker 1: try to have conversations to cost the table with him.
- 38:00Speaker 5: Yeah, so I'm thinking for tires, I'm thinking we kind
- 38:03Speaker 5: of get all we go off script a little bit.
- 38:06Speaker 3: How do you come up with your material prolific?
- 38:10Speaker 5: Right?
- 38:10Speaker 1: Do you write punchline first and go backwards?
- 38:12Speaker 3: Why don't we just see if we can get a
- 38:13Speaker 3: table together here? Move these signor can you push these
- 38:18Speaker 3: two uh masa's together?
- 38:21Speaker 1: Superblay cosme four marks? Goddamn yeah, Mexican take.
- 38:27Speaker 5: Down four marks.
- 38:28Speaker 3: Well, I was just drinking them like they were capri
- 38:30Speaker 3: sons was hammering them.
- 38:31Speaker 5: So they were so good to at a time. What
- 38:34Speaker 5: are we thinking?
- 38:35Speaker 3: I would order another one before I'd finished the first?
- 38:38Speaker 1: Goll Lee. That sounds like a hell of a night.
- 38:41Speaker 3: They have a dish called the duck Carnitis that has
- 38:46Speaker 3: been on their menu. The entire time. This used to
- 38:48Speaker 3: be a very big time restaurant. It used to get
- 38:50Speaker 3: ranked top fifty restaurants in the world. It's really good.
- 38:53Speaker 3: Their their main restaurants in Mexico City, and everyone goes
- 38:57Speaker 3: there to go to that restaurant.
- 38:58Speaker 5: Interesting.
- 38:59Speaker 3: But now it's kind of like the hype has died down.
- 39:02Speaker 3: But it's still awesome because they've come back to Earth.
- 39:05Speaker 1: Well.
- 39:05Speaker 3: No, the food's just as good. It's just people. Restaurants
- 39:08Speaker 3: are very their Their buzz is often fleeting, you.
- 39:12Speaker 1: Know, unless it's Sleigh Bernard Den. You know, Okay, you're
- 39:15Speaker 1: going to rise and fall.
- 39:17Speaker 3: Right.
- 39:17Speaker 5: They do some solid advertising.
- 39:19Speaker 3: But dude, get this. When I used to when I
- 39:21Speaker 3: went there when I first moved to New York, I
- 39:23Speaker 3: remember specifically that the duck carneaitis, which is a dish
- 39:26Speaker 3: for two people, was I think it was fifty four
- 39:30Speaker 3: dollars on the menu. Yeah, sounds like a lot, right,
- 39:32Speaker 3: Guess what it is.
- 39:33Speaker 1: Now, I'm going to guess ninety.
- 39:37Speaker 5: I'm going to go seventy.
- 39:38Speaker 3: Five, one hundred and twelve dollars. Wo. It is an
- 39:42Speaker 3: unbelievable measure of inflation.
- 39:46Speaker 1: Yeah, and I'll be honest, there's just as many ducks everywhere.
- 39:50Speaker 1: They're just as easy to kill anything. There are more.
- 39:53Speaker 5: You start bringing your own duck in.
- 39:55Speaker 1: Yeah, going Carneita this Yeah, the enlargement to Chinatown. Yesterday,
- 40:00Speaker 1: we got a duck for less than twenty dollars really
- 40:03Speaker 1: and it was amazing.
- 40:04Speaker 3: Wait you bought it at at a restaurant.
- 40:07Speaker 1: Yeah, they served it up for us. We had like
- 40:09Speaker 1: a pork to start, and then they just cut up
- 40:10Speaker 1: a duck. I mean they took it out of the window. Wow,
- 40:13Speaker 1: it was so fucking juicy.
- 40:15Speaker 5: Oh look that sounds great.
- 40:17Speaker 3: That's cool. I had duck in the classic peaking duck
- 40:21Speaker 3: in Beijing with Donnie. Yeah, and it was a pretty
- 40:25Speaker 3: cool experience. Was it great? Yeah? It was. It was good.
- 40:27Speaker 3: It was that orange kind of glazed duck with the
- 40:30Speaker 3: crispy skin. Love that duck is good.
- 40:33Speaker 5: Duck's an underrated meat. Yeah, I'm trying to go all
- 40:37Speaker 5: duck by twenty six.
- 40:38Speaker 1: We just kill enough duck and you just stock all
- 40:41Speaker 1: the freezer ducks strictly.
- 40:43Speaker 3: Yeah, I gotta get.
- 40:44Speaker 1: Sydney's got to take us out to kill some ducks.
- 40:46Speaker 5: Yeah, big time. As what they should do. They should
- 40:49Speaker 5: round up everybody like once a month in New York
- 40:51Speaker 5: like Jerry Duty, and we all just go out and
- 40:53Speaker 5: hunt people though, get the catskills the homeless. Yeah, yeah,
- 40:58Speaker 5: I wouldn't be bad purge. You've been select for purging.
- 41:01Speaker 1: I mean that guy sounds delicious. Who was banging on
- 41:03Speaker 1: your subway? It sounded like a meaty, fucking cut family.
- 41:07Speaker 3: For weeks through the winter. You've won the.
- 41:10Speaker 1: Lottery, you got the Saquon Barkley homeless.
- 41:13Speaker 5: Man's under some flak. He's been taking some heat.
- 41:19Speaker 1: He just went on uh Cooper Dejen and read Blanken
- 41:22Speaker 1: Ships podcast today. Oh, really doesn't sound like he to me?
- 41:25Speaker 5: What was he saying? Well, I mean those are his
- 41:26Speaker 5: own teammates.
- 41:27Speaker 1: Because he went on Aiden Ross's stream.
- 41:29Speaker 5: Did he on Aiden Ross's stream?
- 41:31Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 41:31Speaker 3: Can you explain Aiden Ross to me? Why is he always?
- 41:34Speaker 3: I don't really know. Why is he always the center
- 41:36Speaker 3: of controversy? What does he do? Who is he?
- 41:38Speaker 5: I think it's because he's like a he's like a
- 41:39Speaker 5: right wing Twitch streamer for children. I mean most Twitch
- 41:44Speaker 5: streaming is children, right.
- 41:46Speaker 1: I think he's a kick. I think he's an kick
- 41:48Speaker 1: or something like that.
- 41:49Speaker 3: He's a right wing streamer for children.
- 41:51Speaker 1: Is he right wing?
- 41:52Speaker 5: Yeah he is.
- 41:54Speaker 3: Hasn't Trump like been on his.
- 41:55Speaker 5: Stream before or didn't he like do like an interview something?
- 41:59Speaker 3: But Trump did knock Boys and flagrant Io and THEO
- 42:02Speaker 3: and all that busting in busting.
- 42:04Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, but flagrant I don't know much about flagrant
- 42:07Speaker 5: But THEO went to the inauguration, so it's probably safe
- 42:12Speaker 5: to assume he's right leaning.
- 42:13Speaker 1: Yeah, but if you.
- 42:15Speaker 5: Yeah, Aiden Ross gave him a cyber truck on it, but.
- 42:19Speaker 1: Did didn't always have to also have Bernie Sanders on
- 42:22Speaker 1: their shows?
- 42:23Speaker 3: Yeah. I tend to think that Theo's pretty centrist. I
- 42:26Speaker 3: don't know.
- 42:27Speaker 5: I mean, yeah, you have Bernie on like you could
- 42:30Speaker 5: Bernie Goes on shows, but like they're not like people
- 42:34Speaker 5: aren't like going to the inauguration feels like that kind
- 42:37Speaker 5: of says where you are. I'm not saying there's anything
- 42:40Speaker 5: wrong with what would either with either side.
- 42:42Speaker 3: I'll say this, if I got invited to the inauguration,
- 42:45Speaker 3: no matter who the president was, I would go. I'm
- 42:49Speaker 3: pretty sure.
- 42:49Speaker 1: When the Eagles went to when the Eagles won their
- 42:51Speaker 1: first Super Bowl in twenty seventeen, twenty eighteen, we went
- 42:55Speaker 1: to the White House and we were like doing an
- 43:00Speaker 1: reviews there or something like that. And there's like a
- 43:02Speaker 1: local Philadelphia basketball writer named Kyle Newbeck, and he took
- 43:07Speaker 1: a picture of like the barstool Mike Flagg, and he
- 43:10Speaker 1: was like, of course barstools. There's the White House. It's
- 43:14Speaker 1: just like, yeah, just because you're there. It doesn't like
- 43:17Speaker 1: say one thing or another about like, uh, yeah, I
- 43:21Speaker 1: get that.
- 43:22Speaker 5: I guess if he buys, well he but being personally
- 43:24Speaker 5: invited to the inauguration by the president.
- 43:27Speaker 1: Well he bought Bernie Sanders a cyber truck. Two he
- 43:29Speaker 1: didn't he's giving out cyber truck.
- 43:31Speaker 5: He didn't. Yeah, I don't think he they I don't
- 43:34Speaker 5: think those guys would have gone if Bernie Sanders became president.
- 43:37Speaker 1: Bernie Sanders got a fucking cyber truck. I don't know
- 43:39Speaker 1: what you're talking about.
- 43:39Speaker 3: Bro.
- 43:40Speaker 1: You didn't see him driving it around. AOC got a
- 43:44Speaker 1: cyber truck from him.
- 43:45Speaker 5: I didn't see that.
- 43:46Speaker 3: Bernie Sanders has been the same age of old for
- 43:49Speaker 3: fifteen years. If you if you need to see a
- 43:52Speaker 3: picture of him when he was young, it's in black
- 43:54Speaker 3: and white. There are no colored photos of him with
- 43:58Speaker 3: like as a young man. The same is true of Biden's.
- 44:01Speaker 1: Oh yeah, old forever, they're old as hell. Biden's first
- 44:08Speaker 1: generation racist. Yeah, big time, creative ass racist, Lari sandals.
- 44:16Speaker 1: Is he going to run again?
- 44:18Speaker 3: Right?
- 44:19Speaker 5: No, no way.
- 44:20Speaker 1: Who do you think is going to run next time?
- 44:22Speaker 1: Who do you think the next presidential election is going
- 44:24Speaker 1: to be between Trump and whoever else?
- 44:27Speaker 3: Trump can't run again, We'll see.
- 44:29Speaker 5: He's telling people he's on his third term.
- 44:32Speaker 3: You see that that he's currently on. He's like, technically,
- 44:36Speaker 3: I'm on my.
- 44:36Speaker 5: Third term because of the last election. But we don't
- 44:38Speaker 5: have to get into it.
- 44:40Speaker 1: Yeah, he's already breaking the law by being on a
- 44:42Speaker 1: third term. He can't stop winning. Oh he does is
- 44:47Speaker 1: win no matter what. It's crazy, so fucking happy for him.
- 44:51Speaker 1: He sat for Biden too, that he got cancer.
- 44:54Speaker 5: Yeah, how how long you think they've known about that?
- 44:58Speaker 5: I feel like stage four cancer doesn't just come on
- 45:00Speaker 5: the president rapidly, like there was he not getting checks
- 45:05Speaker 5: before that.
- 45:05Speaker 1: Maybe he just thought it was ikey. Yeah, maybe old
- 45:09Speaker 1: guys thinks they just think so ichy, that's that was
- 45:11Speaker 1: Joe Paterno why he didn't say anything. He was just like, yeah,
- 45:14Speaker 1: it's ikey to talk about what's happening in my locker room.
- 45:16Speaker 5: I don't agree. I don't think that Biden. Everyone's saying
- 45:18Speaker 5: that Biden's gonna die and that Biden's dead. I think
- 45:20Speaker 5: Biden's got like fifteen years left in him. He'll be
- 45:24Speaker 5: around forever.
- 45:25Speaker 1: Yeah, he'll be like Jimmy Carter, just like tiny as
- 45:28Speaker 1: fucking a chair. They'll keep him alive, just shrinking down.
- 45:31Speaker 5: I mean presidents, the presidents don't die, they stay alive.
- 45:35Speaker 3: Do you think that when Biden dies people will be
- 45:41Speaker 3: nice about it?
- 45:42Speaker 1: Yeah, No, if it's in fifteen years from now.
- 45:45Speaker 5: Definitely fifteen years from now, for sure. If he dies
- 45:47Speaker 5: within the next year or two.
- 45:49Speaker 1: I think in fifteen years from now, President Adien Ross
- 45:52Speaker 1: is going to be really nice about it.
- 45:53Speaker 3: Ye will say the people the right will celebrate when
- 45:56Speaker 3: if he dies. I think everyone.
- 45:57Speaker 5: I think the right and the left will. So I
- 45:58Speaker 5: don't think people celebrate. I don't think people know what
- 46:01Speaker 5: they like.
- 46:03Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 46:04Speaker 5: And it's like, well, we're talking about celebrating. I'm not
- 46:06Speaker 5: talking about I'm talking about people online, not real life.
- 46:09Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm just I like the fact that whenever a
- 46:11Speaker 3: president dies we fly the flag at half mast. Yeah,
- 46:15Speaker 3: I think that's and that there's just sort of a
- 46:17Speaker 3: collective like day of day of recognizing the service that
- 46:23Speaker 3: they provided to the country, even if they weren't a
- 46:27Speaker 3: great president.
- 46:28Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, did you get the churos last night?
- 46:31Speaker 5: No?
- 46:31Speaker 3: I did. I never have room for dessert after the
- 46:33Speaker 3: duck carnaitis.
- 46:34Speaker 1: Really that is a dessert I think you would get,
- 46:36Speaker 1: like the ice cream flombay.
- 46:38Speaker 3: I'd also had four margarita's, so I figured I'd hit
- 46:40Speaker 3: my sugar quota.
- 46:42Speaker 5: Because so Lamb though, wasting your sugar quota on drinks.
- 46:45Speaker 3: No, that's that's where you're wrong. Really, I love a
- 46:49Speaker 3: cocktail as a dessert. I'm happy with that.
- 46:53Speaker 5: I disagree. That was kind of like one of my
- 46:55Speaker 5: deal breakers with drinking was like I was like, well,
- 46:57Speaker 5: I can either do one or the other.
- 46:58Speaker 1: I can either have these trolley gummies.
- 47:01Speaker 5: Exactly, have murf gummies or drink.
- 47:05Speaker 3: But you didn't really like cocktails. You liked beer. Yeah,
- 47:09Speaker 3: so beers never gonna be deserved.
- 47:10Speaker 5: No, Yeah, I guess that makes sense. There's nothing sweet
- 47:14Speaker 5: about a beer.
- 47:16Speaker 1: Right, maybe nice a nice tomorrow? No No, No, that's
- 47:19Speaker 1: a nice that's a nice end. That's a nice night cap.
- 47:23Speaker 5: I would love a beer, would you.
- 47:26Speaker 1: Yeah, let's get one right now, let's have one. Let's
- 47:30Speaker 1: turn that chipping.
- 47:31Speaker 3: I know it might be time. Honestly, let's color let's
- 47:35Speaker 3: color down.
- 47:36Speaker 1: Yeah, let's color down.
- 47:37Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 47:37Speaker 5: I would drink, and I would It would be like.
- 47:40Speaker 3: Tell us what happened when you drink?
- 47:42Speaker 5: No, No, that's not what I'm That's what I want
- 47:44Speaker 5: to me. If I were to drink again.
- 47:46Speaker 3: I know it would be.
- 47:47Speaker 1: You'd be backing the horse right away.
- 47:49Speaker 3: If I drank.
- 47:49Speaker 5: If we drank today Thursday night, there's no way I
- 47:52Speaker 5: don't wake up tomorrow and be like, well I haven't
- 47:54Speaker 5: drank and so like, and then it would continue for
- 47:56Speaker 5: a month straight of me being like, we took all
- 47:58Speaker 5: that time off.
- 47:59Speaker 1: I gotta make up for lost exactly.
- 48:02Speaker 5: So I'd be texting you guys like mimosas let's go
- 48:05Speaker 5: get some boozy.
- 48:08Speaker 3: Brother goes around this weekend. I lost my passport again.
- 48:12Speaker 1: Kegs and eggs at my place? Now you got a
- 48:14Speaker 1: keg ups? Your what?
- 48:16Speaker 3: You couldn't bring the kettle ball down? I brought a
- 48:18Speaker 3: keg up.
- 48:20Speaker 1: There's great.
- 48:22Speaker 7: When cool creamy ranch meets tangy bold buffalo. The whole
- 48:27Speaker 7: is greater than the sum of it. Sauce, say howdy,

- 49:35Speaker 7: Pal?
- 49:35Speaker 1: We saw you the hockey game mark, so I know
- 49:37Speaker 1: you guys. I'm Ryan Whitney.
- 49:38Speaker 5: I get a drink named after me, Motal big new
- 49:41Speaker 5: pink Whitney.
- 49:42Speaker 8: That's what I thought.
- 49:43Speaker 1: See it, fellas, I invented the thing, you pigeon Pink Whitney.
- 49:47Speaker 3: For legendary moments, I will say that I do think
- 49:52Speaker 3: about trying sobriety here and there. Yeah m hm, But
- 49:57Speaker 3: then I think you would get mad at me if
- 49:59Speaker 3: I did.
- 50:00Speaker 5: Wouldn't give a because it's you.
- 50:02Speaker 3: It's your thing, though, I flag and I'm out on that.
- 50:05Speaker 5: I'm out do whatever you gotta do.
- 50:09Speaker 3: Well, I'd only do it to have something in common
- 50:12Speaker 3: with you.
- 50:13Speaker 5: Oh no, terrible.
- 50:14Speaker 3: I would then tell everyone sass, and I don't drink.
- 50:17Speaker 5: I don't really have any plans to going back to drinking,
- 50:19Speaker 5: but I'll probably have a beer at some point.
- 50:21Speaker 8: You know.
- 50:22Speaker 1: It's not like a couple of my buddies have gone
- 50:25Speaker 1: like fully sober and then they like went on a
- 50:28Speaker 1: huge family trip to Ireland and they're like, yeah, I
- 50:30Speaker 1: had a beer in Ireland, didn't affect my because they're
- 50:33Speaker 1: not doing it for the chip and they didn't fall
- 50:35Speaker 1: off the wagon and go on a bender. Yeah, beer
- 50:37Speaker 1: in Ireland was like their dad, like a nice, wholesome
- 50:40Speaker 1: tastere's choice moment.
- 50:42Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 50:42Speaker 5: I just don't know if I got that in me,
- 50:44Speaker 5: But when you, when you do, there's no way I'm
- 50:45Speaker 5: gonna go to Ireland and have one Guinness.
- 50:47Speaker 3: Can I say something which is crazy? I think that
- 50:50Speaker 3: there's have you noticed that now that sobriety has become
- 50:54Speaker 3: such a more popular movement. And I'm not talking just
- 50:59Speaker 3: for people who have alcoholism, Oh yeah, the sober curious people,
- 51:03Speaker 3: the people who just abstain from drinking right, not even
- 51:07Speaker 3: because they have a problem, because they didn't like the
- 51:09Speaker 3: way they felt whatever after they drink. As that has happened,
- 51:16Speaker 3: lots of science has started coming out that says alcohol
- 51:22Speaker 3: gives you cancer, Alcohol does this, Alcohol does that. I
- 51:26Speaker 3: don't think that that's a coincidence. I think that big
- 51:30Speaker 3: sobriety is in the pockets of every politician. I think
- 51:35Speaker 3: big sobriety is a major, like corrupt movement. Yeah, I
- 51:41Speaker 3: think so too.
- 51:41Speaker 1: I think you could put together a study that proves anything. Yeah, like,
- 51:47Speaker 1: and I think that a lot of people would say
- 51:49Speaker 1: everyone's stopping drinking because the studies are saying to stop.
- 51:53Speaker 1: I think that everyone has stopped drinking and they're trying
- 51:56Speaker 1: to find a study to correlate with it because they're
- 51:59Speaker 1: link in every think the cancer these days. Did you
- 52:01Speaker 1: hear the golf courses? The golf courses have parking.
- 52:07Speaker 3: That does make sense to me though. They say that
- 52:10Speaker 3: like a lot of greens keepers on golf courses have dogs,
- 52:14Speaker 3: Like to head greens keeper always rides around with his dog.
- 52:16Speaker 3: And I heard somewhere that like the life expectancy of
- 52:19Speaker 3: a dog that runs around on a golf course is
- 52:22Speaker 3: like four years less.
- 52:23Speaker 1: Really, Yeah, why because the pesticides.
- 52:26Speaker 3: It's the pesticides, crazy dude.
- 52:28Speaker 1: Just because the golfers like refuse to have a single
- 52:32Speaker 1: fly land on it. They're like given their membership. If
- 52:35Speaker 1: a bee buzz is in their backswing.
- 52:37Speaker 5: It's crazy.
- 52:38Speaker 3: Yeah, that's pretty fucked up.
- 52:40Speaker 5: Pesticides are kind of I try not to think about
- 52:42Speaker 5: those because I definitely, uh got a lot of them
- 52:45Speaker 5: in my system.
- 52:46Speaker 3: What about microplastics, that's a big one that everyone's talking about.
- 52:49Speaker 5: Yeah, those don't That just feels impossible to avoid.
- 52:52Speaker 3: Well, they say, yeah, bottled water is really bad, they say,
- 52:55Speaker 3: they say table salts bad.
- 52:57Speaker 1: Hm. Right, they said that you got a a don't
- 53:00Speaker 1: you need a credit card? A week of microplastics?
- 53:02Speaker 3: Is that right? No? Not a week?
- 53:05Speaker 1: Maybe it's half a credit card.
- 53:06Speaker 5: No, I think it's like a credit card a year. No, No,
- 53:08Speaker 5: it's a credit card.
- 53:09Speaker 3: And I definitely need to stop eating a credit cards.
- 53:13Speaker 1: Well, I was worried I wasn't getting enough microplastics, and
- 53:17Speaker 1: so I started crumbling up a credit card.
- 53:18Speaker 5: Like yeah, mixiting in with a smoothie.
- 53:23Speaker 3: Nothing like chopping line and eating the card after.
- 53:29Speaker 1: The coke isn't killing you. It's the fucking credit card.
- 53:32Speaker 5: The pesticides freaking out because used to a bunch of
- 53:34Speaker 5: landscaping and I remember the we were using round up
- 53:38Speaker 5: is the big one, that's bad one, And we were
- 53:40Speaker 5: spraying down this dude's this dude's patio and he was like,
- 53:44Speaker 5: be careful with the round up, don't get it too
- 53:47Speaker 5: close to you, like it's super poisonous all that ship.
- 53:50Speaker 5: And I was using it and there was no smell,
- 53:53Speaker 5: and I was like, is this actually round up? And
- 53:56Speaker 5: I still do this day, don't know I smelt it, though,
- 54:00Speaker 5: I will say that bad idea.
- 54:02Speaker 1: You just put your nose over the round up like
- 54:05Speaker 1: straight into it.
- 54:06Speaker 5: I'm not getting anything because I'm not even kidding like
- 54:08Speaker 5: like because I was like, and I still do this day,
- 54:10Speaker 5: I was like, I'm pretty sure I was just watering
- 54:11Speaker 5: that dude's weeds.
- 54:13Speaker 3: I remember as a kid, I remember having to get
- 54:17Speaker 3: all the old paint off the side of a boat.
- 54:21Speaker 3: That was a job I had done, and they gave
- 54:23Speaker 3: me a giant can of turpentine to deal it with.
- 54:27Speaker 3: And and then after, because I had paint chips and
- 54:29Speaker 3: stuff on my hands, they washed my hands for me
- 54:32Speaker 3: with the turpendine.
- 54:33Speaker 1: Oh my god.
- 54:34Speaker 3: And I remember feeling like, Wow, this shit really works.
- 54:38Speaker 3: This gets paint off your hands better than anything.
- 54:41Speaker 1: And two bones of your hands are just rubbing against
- 54:44Speaker 1: each other because there's no flesh anymore.
- 54:46Speaker 5: That's fucked. Did I ever take me feel better about
- 54:48Speaker 5: my about my experience?
- 54:50Speaker 3: Did I ever tell you the story about how so
- 54:53Speaker 3: my my dad's side of the family has these like camps,
- 54:57Speaker 3: these little cabins up onl on t Yeah, in a
- 55:01Speaker 3: town called Deborah, but it's spelled desb r Ats Desbarats
- 55:06Speaker 3: near Sue Saint Marie. If anyone out there knows this area,
- 55:10Speaker 3: I mean, it's beautiful. And we would go up there
- 55:13Speaker 3: every summer. We would drive twenty two hours from Maine
- 55:15Speaker 3: to get there. We would drive and we would go
- 55:20Speaker 3: and that's where we would spend like a week in
- 55:22Speaker 3: the summer or ten days or whatever. But there was
- 55:23Speaker 3: no electricity, nothing, no Wi Fi. You would not have
- 55:26Speaker 3: been able to go. And so my grandfather we had
- 55:34Speaker 3: these shot puts because they had this little drawbridge built
- 55:38Speaker 3: between two of the islands. It was really cool, but
- 55:42Speaker 3: it was along this canal entryway kind of between the
- 55:45Speaker 3: rocks that in order for the bigger boats to come
- 55:48Speaker 3: down that way, you'd have to pull the drawbridge open.
- 55:51Speaker 3: And he weighed the drawbridge down through the pulley system
- 55:55Speaker 3: with two shot puts wow to create that. And as
- 55:58Speaker 3: he was doing as he was setting up the shot puts,
- 56:02Speaker 3: he watched as they both came undone because he hasn't
- 56:06Speaker 3: tied them properly, bounced down the rocks and into the canal.
- 56:11Speaker 3: And then he told my cousin Jackson and me that
- 56:15Speaker 3: he would pay us five dollars each for each of
- 56:19Speaker 3: the for each shot put we brought back. Wow, but
- 56:22Speaker 3: we had to dive for them. Yeah, and we had
- 56:24Speaker 3: no scuba gear. Yeah, and it was pitch black, oh shit.
- 56:27Speaker 3: So me and my cousins they would sit. They sat
- 56:30Speaker 3: on the drawbridge as Jackson and I took turns trading
- 56:33Speaker 3: the scuba mask back, like the snorkeling mask, back and forth.
- 56:38Speaker 3: And it was like probably sixteen feet down damn, and
- 56:41Speaker 3: I was probably twelve. Dam And they had a basket
- 56:44Speaker 3: on a string. And the thought was that if we
- 56:48Speaker 3: got and found the shot put on the floor of
- 56:50Speaker 3: the of the lake, you put the shot put in
- 56:53Speaker 3: the basket, give the basket a couple of tugs, and
- 56:55Speaker 3: then come up. Yeah. And I got one of them,
- 56:57Speaker 3: but we did not find the other. See you at
- 56:59Speaker 3: the five I got five bucks.
- 57:01Speaker 1: Not bad, but that's not what you need, both both
- 57:03Speaker 1: for the drop.
- 57:04Speaker 3: It felt like a job half done. Yeah, not find
- 57:07Speaker 3: in that second one. But I mean that's good.
- 57:08Speaker 5: That's a tough task.
- 57:09Speaker 3: We must have dived probably fifteen times each Yeah, before
- 57:13Speaker 3: I finally found because you get down to the bottom
- 57:16Speaker 3: and you'd already be so out of bras. Yeah, and
- 57:18Speaker 3: that has sand everything. It was silky mud. Yeah, yeah,
- 57:21Speaker 3: so you just feel around in the darkness. There was
- 57:23Speaker 3: no light. Damn.
- 57:24Speaker 1: That's such a good way to die.
- 57:26Speaker 3: I know it is. By the way, I did the
- 57:28Speaker 3: same exact thing years later looking for a pair of
- 57:31Speaker 3: my mom's Maui Jim sunglasses. Ah, because she had had
- 57:34Speaker 3: them fall off near the dock. So I went down
- 57:36Speaker 3: to try it. But she did not offer me payment.
- 57:39Speaker 3: But that was okay. They've done a lot for me. Yeah, yeah,
- 57:43Speaker 3: I did not find them losing the shades and the
- 57:45Speaker 3: water's tough. That's why you gotta have the floatable crokies.
- 57:47Speaker 5: I know that's happened to me a couple of times,
- 57:49Speaker 5: looking over the edge of just right off the head.
- 57:52Speaker 1: I went on a boat trip recently, or I went
- 57:55Speaker 1: on like a vacation to like a resort within the
- 57:58Speaker 1: last year, and we went out on a boat and
- 58:02Speaker 1: it was lovely. We got back and as we got
- 58:05Speaker 1: back in there was a guy who had just got
- 58:06Speaker 1: off a stand up paddle board and he told the
- 58:08Speaker 1: guy who took us out on the boat, I lost
- 58:11Speaker 1: my sunglasses. I'm pretty sure they're in this area. Go
- 58:14Speaker 1: get them.
- 58:15Speaker 3: Oh.
- 58:16Speaker 1: He just made this guy get it, just like feel
- 58:18Speaker 1: around in an area for his sunglasses and it was
- 58:22Speaker 1: like this mass it was like probably like over a
- 58:24Speaker 1: little bit towards this way. Like didn't give the guy
- 58:26Speaker 1: any money up front.
- 58:28Speaker 5: Damn.
- 58:28Speaker 1: We just sat and watched this guy like abuse this.
- 58:31Speaker 3: That's crazy.
- 58:32Speaker 1: So fucked And they were nowhere near where he said
- 58:35Speaker 1: they were, but I was out there for half an hour.
- 58:37Speaker 1: He finally found them.
- 58:38Speaker 3: Well that brings us to that diver who goes around
- 58:41Speaker 3: the marina and dives with scuba stuff on underneath where
- 58:47Speaker 3: all the boats are parked, and so much stuff falls down,
- 58:51Speaker 3: and he goes and he collects stuff that has fallen down,
- 58:53Speaker 3: and he'll get a rolex for someone who's lost. Yeah,
- 58:55Speaker 3: they'll hire him. Yeah, he's on YouTube. I've seen those accounts.
- 58:59Speaker 3: It's great.
- 59:00Speaker 5: I like the ones of the dudes that do it
- 59:01Speaker 5: in like the middle of nowhere and they'll pull up
- 59:03Speaker 5: like guns.
- 59:04Speaker 1: Oh those are the magnet fishermen.
- 59:06Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, the magnet fisherman. That grosses me out.
- 59:08Speaker 5: Though grosses me out too. It's also funny because the
- 59:10Speaker 5: police get just mad.
- 59:11Speaker 1: You're not allowed to find stuff.
- 59:14Speaker 3: Yeah, those bicycles are meant to be down.
- 59:16Speaker 5: Yeah, it's like, well, now we got to open up
- 59:18Speaker 5: an investigation from fucking forty five years ago. Yeah, and
- 59:21Speaker 5: try and solve it with his gun. It's gonna take
- 59:23Speaker 5: us hours of paperwork.
- 59:26Speaker 1: Are you sure you're on the cops side big time? Really?
- 59:28Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 59:29Speaker 5: Just throw the gun back in the water. If the
- 59:32Speaker 5: gun's got fucking shit growing off of it, the case
- 59:35Speaker 5: is probably not going to get solved.
- 59:36Speaker 1: I agree, just that the cops shouldn't get to the
- 59:38Speaker 1: bottom of the case. I don't think they have to
- 59:40Speaker 1: fucking hunt down every gun that someone finds in the
- 59:42Speaker 1: bottom of a river. Sure, these guys are getting fucking
- 59:44Speaker 1: ten million YouTube clicks on their fucking gunk gun.
- 59:47Speaker 5: True, they're getting all the money. You know.
- 59:51Speaker 3: It's so strange that that shot put story was so
- 59:55Speaker 3: uh it was such a sort of core memory, Yeah,
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: my childhood and meant so much to me. And when
- 1:00:04Speaker 3: I told it, I realized that this story is worth nothing.
- 1:00:10Speaker 3: This is not finding a single inch of purpose on
- 1:00:15Speaker 3: this podcast.
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: I don't think that's true at all.
- 1:00:17Speaker 3: I don't think there was anything in there that was
- 1:00:19Speaker 3: like worth sharing to anyone who listens to the show.
- 1:00:24Speaker 3: To you, guys didn't We didn't ping off it. It
- 1:00:26Speaker 3: wasn't funny it was just like, and now I'm like,
- 1:00:30Speaker 3: did my life mean anything? If that was one of
- 1:00:33Speaker 3: the top moments that I had and is a very
- 1:00:36Speaker 3: fond memory I have of my cousins and my grandfather
- 1:00:40Speaker 3: and this place. That meant a lot to me. That
- 1:00:42Speaker 3: did my life mean anything?
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: You did something hard?
- 1:00:45Speaker 3: I did do something.
- 1:00:46Speaker 5: It's a bad story.
- 1:00:48Speaker 3: It wasn't that good. Every story has to.
- 1:00:50Speaker 5: Be like a grand slam, you know, but it was
- 1:00:53Speaker 5: a grand slam for my whole life. Yeah, but I've
- 1:00:55Speaker 5: got stories that are funny.
- 1:00:56Speaker 3: I've told so few people that story.
- 1:00:59Speaker 5: Yeah, but everyone's got stories like that.
- 1:01:01Speaker 3: No, you just told one hundred thousand more people and
- 1:01:03Speaker 3: you just told I needed to have told that to
- 1:01:05Speaker 3: someone else and have them be like, dude, that that
- 1:01:08Speaker 3: wasn't worth much.
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: I would would ever say that about that story.
- 1:01:11Speaker 3: Though, but it would have then put me in a
- 1:01:14Speaker 3: better place of knowing it's worth and I would not
- 1:01:17Speaker 3: have shared it on the podcast.
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: Well, no, I think that that was a worthy story.
- 1:01:21Speaker 3: I think we can cut that.
- 1:01:22Speaker 5: No, No, it's definitely standing.
- 1:01:23Speaker 3: We should cut that.
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: Now, you got to say something very revealing personally. If
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: you want this cut, don't do it. Don't do it.
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: Don't do it, it won't wind up getting cut.
- 1:01:32Speaker 3: The shot puts were made up of children that live
- 1:01:35Speaker 3: on Harry's Block, their bones and their privates.
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: That we're talking Holmes, I think that it was a
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: very nice story. I don't know. I'd give up, man,
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: I don't think that. I think you're being hard on yourself.
- 1:01:52Speaker 3: I tried it. I am always hard on myself.
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: But what did my story about the guy finding the
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: fucking maui Jim's.
- 1:01:58Speaker 3: Ad, Well, that was a piggyback. It wasn't.
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: So we did add a piggyback.
- 1:02:03Speaker 3: That was a different story though.
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: Yeah, but it jogged something in my memory.
- 1:02:07Speaker 3: That's very kind of you.
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: It wasn't doing it to be kind I was doing
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: it because it was a worthwhile story.
- 1:02:13Speaker 3: Can we ask you for an update on your children?
- 1:02:16Speaker 3: How that's all going.
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: They're going, they're doing pretty good.
- 1:02:20Speaker 3: You seem great? Are you pretty? Are you just hiding
- 1:02:25Speaker 3: how fatigued you are?
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: It's just a different level of attention to details, like
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: you just have to be pretty and I'm not I'm pretty,
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: or you just lighten your shoe and fire.
- 1:02:41Speaker 3: Of handling a serious cover.
- 1:02:44Speaker 5: No, I'm listening right now. He said, it's a different
- 1:02:47Speaker 5: type of tired.
- 1:02:48Speaker 3: Oh boy, we're talking about family stuff here. Let me
- 1:02:50Speaker 3: light my shoes on fire for me to go to
- 1:02:53Speaker 3: another place.
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: That is like the kind of thing you do in
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: a in like a psychiatrist's office, and they're like, yeah,
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: you have eighty d bat, we're going to give you
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: eighty milograms every single day.
- 1:03:05Speaker 3: I wonder how big the hotel is that I'm staying
- 1:03:07Speaker 3: this week. All right, So it's a different type of tired.
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: It's just no, it's just a different type of attention
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: that you have to give. You have to be kind
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: of selfish, and I'm not perfect at it, but I
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: am relatively patient as a person, but definitely like test
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: your patience at sometimes it's like when they're just crying,
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: you don't know what to do. You can't can't stop it,
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: you just try. I also used to think when people
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: would like shush their kids, they were being mean, like shush,
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: but I didn't realize that there is like a functional
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: like it is like a calming thing. But I so
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: I didn't do it for a while to them because
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: I was like, I'm not trying to be like a
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: dickhead like shushing them.
- 1:03:43Speaker 5: Like, sh you're kind of just creating white noise.
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: Yeah, but you're just doing like a soft, passive white
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: noise and it works, Bro, they'll shut the funk up.
- 1:03:50Speaker 3: If you Yeah, it's not a library shush. It's the
- 1:03:54Speaker 3: type of shush that you might mistake for the flowing
- 1:03:57Speaker 3: of the river that Harry and I are going to
- 1:03:58Speaker 3: live on.
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: Exactly it's gonna be so, but I didn't. I just
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: thought it was like there was a nastiness to it.
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: So I was like, just letting them cry. But then
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: it was like, am I fucking detached sociopath? Like I
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: wasn't just letting them cry. That's what it's tough to
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: talk about because someone will be like, yeah, wait, wait
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: until you hear this, or like you actually shouldn't be
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: doing that. So I haven't talked a ton about it.
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: I even like shot an ad where it was like
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: they were gonna be in the part like the background,
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: and I was like, oh, I can't have them in
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: a fucking no.
- 1:04:24Speaker 3: I think that's the right call, do you for for
- 1:04:27Speaker 3: someone who's, you know, potentially thinking about it some day?
- 1:04:31Speaker 3: Would you recommend that I have one or two to start?
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: I think you should start with like three and just
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: kind of knock down because I think swinging for the
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: fences is like laying up or like swinging for a double. Yeah,
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: like why not just get the Homer and have like
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: a TLC show Francis plus eight.
- 1:04:49Speaker 3: I think starting with twins is actually a pretty good move.
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: You'd be such a great dad.
- 1:04:55Speaker 3: Because then if you don't have any more, you're fine.
- 1:04:58Speaker 5: Yeah, gets you right into right into the action.
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: Into a full family.
- 1:05:02Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: Yeah, I think that you. I think you got to
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: do it.
- 1:05:05Speaker 3: They also they also are going to rely on each
- 1:05:07Speaker 3: other so much and be each other's support systems, which
- 1:05:11Speaker 3: means you don't have to you don't have to parent
- 1:05:13Speaker 3: as much. And there's really like, let's be honest, even
- 1:05:15Speaker 3: though they'll be like I'm one minute older, there's really
- 1:05:18Speaker 3: no older child. Yeah, right, so there's no I'm sure
- 1:05:21Speaker 3: that the hierarchy is not as pronounced. Yeah, unless one
- 1:05:25Speaker 3: of them ends up being like way better at sports
- 1:05:28Speaker 3: and school. Yeah, in which case the other one's in
- 1:05:31Speaker 3: big trouble and the other one.
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: Has to do drugs or DJ or both. I support
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: it if they want to do both.
- 1:05:40Speaker 5: I mean, if you're not good at sports or school,
- 1:05:41Speaker 5: there's not a ton of options.
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: What are you talking about? What what are we doing?
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: I guess is good at sports in school?
- 1:05:48Speaker 3: So is I.
- 1:05:54Speaker 5: It's hard for me to relate to that experience of
- 1:05:56Speaker 5: not being good at sports or school.
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: Because just because you got append or to pit aliquippa.
- 1:06:02Speaker 5: Well that was for my academics.
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: So what were you good at school?
- 1:06:07Speaker 5: I got in there solely relying off my academic ability. Dressing, yeah,
- 1:06:11Speaker 5: pretty much, you're gonna git. I got into fit full scholarship,
- 1:06:17Speaker 5: turned it down.
- 1:06:18Speaker 3: What if Harry took that outfit off right now and
- 1:06:20Speaker 3: underneath he was just wearing like a spiked.
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: Outfit.
- 1:06:25Speaker 3: Oh no, this this was a class project. Actually they said,
- 1:06:30Speaker 3: they said do your best puffer fish. This is my interpretation.
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: It's dark Kent under there.
- 1:06:35Speaker 5: Do you think they get like assignments like that?
- 1:06:37Speaker 3: I bet they.
- 1:06:38Speaker 5: I want you to come in wearing something that expresses anger.
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: Tomorrow, your homework is to cut yourself.
- 1:06:45Speaker 3: Yeah, create an outfit using an actual physical piece of yourself.
- 1:06:54Speaker 5: Sacrifice one part of your body for a whole outfit.
- 1:06:58Speaker 3: The zippers are made from my molar.
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: Today.
- 1:07:00Speaker 5: Noticed that my penis is stitched onto the outside of
- 1:07:03Speaker 5: my genes.
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: Tonight, your assignment is to bleed and you will be
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: judged on how seek help if you if you actually.
- 1:07:18Speaker 5: Have see help if you go too.
- 1:07:21Speaker 3: Is it a high school now it's a college.
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: It's a college.
- 1:07:24Speaker 3: It's like, got it. I bet you that those kids
- 1:07:28Speaker 3: do have a lot of of course, I bet you
- 1:07:33Speaker 3: they're doing some wild stuff.
- 1:07:34Speaker 5: Yeah, they definitely have like co ed dorms. They probably
- 1:07:38Speaker 5: have one dorm room and like.
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: Somewhere there's probably just a guy school on the dorm floor.
- 1:07:46Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:07:47Speaker 5: When I almost went to, I tore pace. Their dorms
- 1:07:51Speaker 5: are just in the everything is in one building, so
- 1:07:54Speaker 5: you never left. You never leave.
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: That kind of like that town in Alaska where the
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: entire town is exactly it's a skyscraper that is all
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: just it's like the Wayside school.
- 1:08:05Speaker 5: Yeah, that's what that's what maybe not want to go there.
- 1:08:08Speaker 3: Really. I was like, I'll just never leave. Oh, that's
- 1:08:10Speaker 3: so at odds with your lifestyle, dude, It's just an elevator.
- 1:08:14Speaker 5: You're like, oh, I gotta go to I gotta go
- 1:08:15Speaker 5: to fucking English.
- 1:08:18Speaker 3: Because it's a place I'll never leave my home.
- 1:08:22Speaker 5: Yeah, but it would be like if I was like
- 1:08:23Speaker 5: I gotta go do the podcast, and it was like
- 1:08:25Speaker 5: down one floor.
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: That sounds so tailed for you. Your main complaint today
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: was the community.
- 1:08:32Speaker 5: It would be like if I moved into this building,
- 1:08:35Speaker 5: I'm going up to seven.
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: How are you late?
- 1:08:40Speaker 3: Have you ever accidentally ridden the elevators here up to
- 1:08:44Speaker 3: the floor? I went up once? What is it? Really? Nice? Offices?
- 1:08:50Speaker 3: Really well, think about it. Our elevator bank has six elevators.
- 1:08:55Speaker 3: Have you ever seen in a building in New York
- 1:08:58Speaker 3: that when you press the button automatically the elevator No
- 1:09:02Speaker 3: matter what, there's an elevator ready to take you. For
- 1:09:05Speaker 3: the most part, there's six here, six elevators, and they're fast,
- 1:09:08Speaker 3: the fastest. That's the most efficient, probably expensive elevator system
- 1:09:12Speaker 3: I've ever seen.
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: Incredible elevator any building.
- 1:09:15Speaker 3: I've ever been to in New York strong elevators totally.
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: You go up all the way. Your ears pop.
- 1:09:20Speaker 5: Chicago Barly even has an elevator.
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: It's a crank. You take the L train on a
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: steep in c like you're going on a roller coast.
- 1:09:31Speaker 5: A vertical vertical train.
- 1:09:37Speaker 3: Elevator repair men are and and builders are a union.
- 1:09:41Speaker 3: That's an old union.
- 1:09:42Speaker 5: Oh yeah.
- 1:09:43Speaker 3: In America, And it's a it's a trade. You know.
- 1:09:47Speaker 3: My poppy rode the elevator.
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: How was business?
- 1:09:50Speaker 3: I two wrote two? Now ride, I'm apprentice road the elevator.
- 1:09:53Speaker 5: My dad rode the elevator.
- 1:09:54Speaker 3: Lots of ups and downs.
- 1:09:57Speaker 5: Cousin was an escalator man to him in thirty years.
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: Well, it caused a big risk. And it's like having
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: a cop and a fire.
- 1:10:05Speaker 5: Yeah, exactly which one's more important?
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: They're fighting at Thanksgiving the elevator versus the escalator.
- 1:10:12Speaker 3: You ever tried it on an escalator? You ever tried
- 1:10:14Speaker 3: to hold your hand on the two railings and then
- 1:10:18Speaker 3: lift your feet off the ground and ride all the
- 1:10:20Speaker 3: way up or all the way down without having your
- 1:10:22Speaker 3: feet touch now, so sort of in a suspended dip.
- 1:10:26Speaker 3: Maybe no, I never have. I could hard see that.
- 1:10:31Speaker 3: A lot of strain on your wrists because your wrists
- 1:10:33Speaker 3: are bent up.
- 1:10:34Speaker 5: It's also tough in New York, in this in this
- 1:10:39Speaker 5: stand right walk left culture that we're living in. It's
- 1:10:42Speaker 5: hard to block off both sides.
- 1:10:44Speaker 3: Oh, I see what you mean. But there are plenty
- 1:10:47Speaker 3: of elevators that do not have people, excuse me, escalators
- 1:10:50Speaker 3: that have people not expecting to be able to walk
- 1:10:52Speaker 3: up the left side.
- 1:10:53Speaker 5: The only time I really see escalators is at Penn Station.
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: What about at LaGuardia Airports?
- 1:11:00Speaker 5: True, l g A Malls l g AS. Their escalator
- 1:11:03Speaker 5: is busy, though.
- 1:11:05Speaker 3: You don't walk up it. Though I do. People have
- 1:11:08Speaker 3: their luggage.
- 1:11:09Speaker 5: Oh I fly up that thing.
- 1:11:10Speaker 3: You walk up the escalator at LaGuardia every time, that
- 1:11:14Speaker 3: means you're asking a lot of people to well, there's
- 1:11:16Speaker 3: people there.
- 1:11:17Speaker 5: I won't. But next time, instead of walking up it,
- 1:11:20Speaker 5: you know what I'll do, I'll dip ride that thing down.
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: Like Stephen Hawking likes.
- 1:11:28Speaker 3: Going going doing real hard.
- 1:11:31Speaker 5: Going up is harder than going down.
- 1:11:33Speaker 3: Think about it.
- 1:11:34Speaker 5: Yeah, it makes sense.
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: Gravity gravity gravity, Yeah, save the hell away from me.
- 1:11:40Speaker 5: Yeah, I uh, I'll definitely do that. When I'm while
- 1:11:43Speaker 5: I'm waiting for the clear people to harass me.
- 1:11:46Speaker 3: What a useless thing? I mean?
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: What, how is there eighteen people?
- 1:11:51Speaker 5: Clear?
- 1:11:51Speaker 3: Clear? What is the mound for clear? Can we can
- 1:11:54Speaker 3: we honestly ask our point? What is the point?
- 1:11:56Speaker 5: You're like, oh, yeah, I'll get clear because I'm looking
- 1:11:58Speaker 5: at it right now. It says the clear line is
- 1:11:59Speaker 5: of fifteen minute wait and the general line is just open.
- 1:12:04Speaker 3: I'm so tired of those people thinking that they're doing anything.
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: Yeah, Clear must be paining. I mean, it's the same
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: people that work at Sweet Green.
- 1:12:14Speaker 3: They they come, they usher you up and they're like,
- 1:12:17Speaker 3: wait for me, wait for me, okay, come now, yeah okay,
- 1:12:19Speaker 3: And then it's like they're introducing you to the TSA agent.
- 1:12:22Speaker 3: Doesn't give a fuck about them. I did the other
- 1:12:25Speaker 3: day and they and I have my idea out?
- 1:12:27Speaker 5: Why are you Why you have your idea out? You're
- 1:12:28Speaker 5: Clear because you guys ask me to take it out
- 1:12:30Speaker 5: seventy five percent of exactly.
- 1:12:32Speaker 3: So that's randomly selected again, and I'm like, why does
- 1:12:34Speaker 3: that keep happening? And they go do you travel a lot?
- 1:12:37Speaker 3: And I'm like yeah, it's like, well that's probably why
- 1:12:40Speaker 3: don't you think that would mean I should be more clear? Yeah,
- 1:12:44Speaker 3: this isn't my first time in the friendly sky. That's
- 1:12:48Speaker 3: a red flag.
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: TSA and Clear must hate each other. That's probably worse
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: than the elevator escalator capulids.
- 1:12:55Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:12:57Speaker 5: The second you see that CLEAR person walking towards you
- 1:13:00Speaker 5: with just a fucking.
- 1:13:00Speaker 3: Imbecile behind them from a luggage, should I just go here?
- 1:13:07Speaker 5: I D passport everything out birth certificate'nightmare.
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: The TSA people are. I was like, wait, they're im
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: ready for them. They don't want them to come through.
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: We could talk about this.
- 1:13:18Speaker 5: I haven't flown. I'ven't flown, flown in a while.
- 1:13:21Speaker 3: Hate the port.
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: I haven't flown in a fucking while. I'm gonna be
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: you guys want my free upgrades this year, probably not
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: even gonna use them. I haven't been on my Delta
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: app in four months.
- 1:13:34Speaker 5: I haven't really been. I haven't really been grinding it neither.
- 1:13:37Speaker 5: I don't really care.
- 1:13:38Speaker 3: I've been flying a lot.
- 1:13:39Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't really care about the status.
- 1:13:42Speaker 3: I think I'm gonna get diamond, but I don't think
- 1:13:43Speaker 3: it's I think it's gonna be close.
- 1:13:45Speaker 5: I don't think I'm gonna even come close.
- 1:13:46Speaker 3: Last year, I had it in May.
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: Yeah, I remember, I remember like it was fucking yesterday.
- 1:13:52Speaker 3: Brother.
- 1:13:52Speaker 5: We celebrated, We went on, we went to four Charles.
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: I mean, me and Harry had a drink in your favor.
- 1:13:58Speaker 3: About two thirds of the way there.
- 1:14:00Speaker 5: I'm not even close.
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: How did I just lose miles? What the fuck? I
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: opened the app? I went from nine hundred thousand something
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: miles to eight hundred thousand. What the fuck was that
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: I just happened.
- 1:14:10Speaker 5: To take away from checking it Now it's like a
- 1:14:12Speaker 5: credit score.
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: I neither got the experience boost for my.
- 1:14:19Speaker 5: Alright, damn, let's wrap up the podcast.
- 1:14:21Speaker 3: Let's do it.
- 1:14:22Speaker 5: We'll see you guys next episode. Thank you so much
- 1:14:25Speaker 5: for listening. I hope you guys all have a good
- 1:14:26Speaker 5: rest of your week slash weekend.
- 1:14:29Speaker 3: Goodbye.
- 1:14:31Speaker 10: Thank you?
- 1:14:47Speaker 5: Was up.
- 1:14:50Speaker 11: Still underground.
- 1:15:01Speaker 5: To you.
- 1:15:04Speaker 10: Get a round?
- 1:15:07Speaker 11: I was only falling one way. I was only falling
- 1:15:15Speaker 11: one bad days. We'll drifted.
- 1:15:24Speaker 10: Fasi so.
- 1:15:31Speaker 3: So then you need son.
- 1:15:35Speaker 10: No, I'm come al. I was on a phoning on.
- 1:15:47Speaker 10: I was on a phoney low. I was on your
- 1:15:54Speaker 10: phone in one I was on your phone. Best be
- 1:16:15Speaker 10: don't get ta.
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: Falling one way?
