- 0:00Speaker 1: It's the Mark Simon Show Live from ther Life Back studio.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Well, let's take some calls. Eight hundred three two one
- 0:11Speaker 2: zero seven ten is the number. Eight hundred three two
- 0:14Speaker 2: one zero seven ten. Let's go to fay in Ramapo. Faye,
- 0:18Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 0:19Speaker 3: Okay okay. I just want to respond to Mandani saying
- 0:25Speaker 3: that Reagan, we are from the government and we are
- 0:27Speaker 3: here to help you. He mocked it. And my family
- 0:32Speaker 3: has a background in Russia and the under communism. The
- 0:36Speaker 3: problem with that, which no one pointed out, and I
- 0:38Speaker 3: think it's very important to point out, is when the
- 0:41Speaker 3: government comes, the government is not an abstract entity. It's people.
- 0:46Speaker 3: When people come from the government and they want to
- 0:48Speaker 3: help you, more than they want to help you, they
- 0:51Speaker 3: want to keep their job. And so anyone who comes
- 0:53Speaker 3: from the government, their their aim and goal is always
- 0:57Speaker 3: to have to help you. So whenever there was a war, poverty,
- 1:00Speaker 3: the war one, drugs, education, you name it, when the
- 1:03Speaker 3: government comes, they want to help you, they want to
- 1:06Speaker 3: help themselves, and they want to stay in all of
- 1:08Speaker 3: this as long as possible, and they keep this thing
- 1:11Speaker 3: going on.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Now I agree, Now the government. Reagan was absolutely right.
- 1:15Speaker 2: The government most of the time is there to collect
- 1:17Speaker 2: money from you, and a few times they're just there
- 1:20Speaker 2: to help you. Whatever help they give you will cost
- 1:24Speaker 2: the taxpayers about ten thousand times as much as if
- 1:27Speaker 2: the private sector did it. Let's go to Nick and
- 1:30Speaker 2: Mount Vernon. Nick, how you doing, hey?
- 1:33Speaker 4: Mark Mayor Koch always referred to himself as the Liberwood
- 1:36Speaker 4: satity w What do you think he would make him?
- 1:38Speaker 2: Mondami, Well, I'm kind of glad he didn't lift to
- 1:42Speaker 2: see Mom Donnie. You know, I'm glad Kach isn't around
- 1:47Speaker 2: to see Mom Donnie sitting in his chair. I'm glad
- 1:50Speaker 2: Bob morganhaw isn't around to see Alvin Bragg sitting in
- 1:53Speaker 2: his chair. They wouldn't believe it. You know, that's the
- 1:56Speaker 2: problem when you get let's see, you got the greatest
- 1:59Speaker 2: mayor ever. Let's see to Rudy Giuliani, and he's the
- 2:01Speaker 2: greatest mayor ever.
- 2:03Speaker 4: You know.
- 2:03Speaker 2: The problem is he can clean up the crime and
- 2:05Speaker 2: fix the city and do a great chot for eight years,
- 2:08Speaker 2: and then a few years later the Blasio comes along
- 2:12Speaker 2: and puts it right back to where it was, and
- 2:14Speaker 2: then you get a although it's not as bad as
- 2:16Speaker 2: it was before, Giuliani. But these Democrats, they can undo
- 2:20Speaker 2: a lot of that stuff. Let's go to Stuart, South Carolina. Stuart,
- 2:24Speaker 2: how you doing.
- 2:25Speaker 4: Hey, Mark, carry you. I just want to mention with
- 2:28Speaker 4: the Trump shooting. I was on Reagan security team twice.
- 2:32Speaker 4: I was a swat team, my son's swat team sniper.
- 2:35Speaker 4: And there's only about two thousand in the country. The
- 2:37Speaker 4: fact they didn't chet that roof is absolutely unconscionable. I
- 2:42Speaker 4: could not believe that. The Secret Service that I worked
- 2:44Speaker 4: with was wonderful.
- 2:45Speaker 5: They were very.
- 2:47Speaker 4: Professional and sorrow. Plus you were talking about those two
- 2:50Speaker 4: women who couldn't put their firearms back in their hole. Sir.
- 2:54Speaker 4: They weren't even tall enough to protect Trump, and they
- 2:58Speaker 4: left him there. If there was a second shooter, he
- 3:00Speaker 4: was gone. They did nothing. I was watching this and
- 3:04Speaker 4: I was apoplectic. I could not believe how incompetent they were.
- 3:09Speaker 2: Yeah, so you're a local cops. When the Secret Service there,
- 3:13Speaker 2: you have to coordinate with them. And was that pretty smooth?
- 3:15Speaker 2: The coordination?
- 3:16Speaker 4: Oh yeah, yeah, it was absolutely wonderful. It really was.
- 3:20Speaker 4: Reagan was absolutely protected. You know, I loved him and
- 3:24Speaker 4: we would have taken a bullet for him in a
- 3:27Speaker 4: heartbeat to save him. Coordination was fantastic.
- 3:30Speaker 2: Apparently in Butler it wasn't so fantastic. Between the six
- 3:32Speaker 2: Services and the locals. They weren't even on the same
- 3:34Speaker 2: radio frequency. All kinds of problems like that.
- 3:37Speaker 4: So yeah, like I said, it was unconstable that the
- 3:41Speaker 4: fact that the secret services had delved into a complete inadequacy.
- 3:45Speaker 4: I could not believe how incompetent they were. Like I said,
- 3:48Speaker 4: you've got to be tall enough to protect the person
- 3:50Speaker 4: you were protecting, and those women were not.
- 3:53Speaker 2: That's a good point, all right, Stuart, great call, thanks
- 3:56Speaker 2: for calling. Let's go to John in Rockland County. John,
- 3:59Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 4:01Speaker 5: All right?
- 4:01Speaker 6: Mark? How you doing?
- 4:02Speaker 4: Yet?
- 4:03Speaker 1: I heard you talking about the AI centers. I was
- 4:06Speaker 1: under the impression that you could build them, but you
- 4:09Speaker 1: had to supply your own power. Weren't they talking about
- 4:12Speaker 1: the degenerating stations, the nuclear ones that they have like
- 4:16Speaker 1: in the aircraft carriers. There weren't a whole city.
- 4:19Speaker 2: Yeah, No, Apparently the problem is the people pushing these
- 4:23Speaker 2: data centers were putting out all kinds of stories. You know,
- 4:26Speaker 2: the opposition to them is financed by China, who are
- 4:28Speaker 2: trying to stop us in AI. Well that didn't exactly
- 4:32Speaker 2: pan out to be totally true. Then the other stories
- 4:35Speaker 2: they start spreading around is the AI data centers will
- 4:38Speaker 2: provide all of their own electricity. Well it turned out
- 4:41Speaker 2: not to be so true. There is ways that the
- 4:44Speaker 2: latest in nuclear technology where you could power it easily
- 4:48Speaker 2: with some nuclear power, but that technology it's not really
- 4:51Speaker 2: ready to go, and these data centers haven't really got
- 4:55Speaker 2: that to the point where they can actually use it.
- 4:57Speaker 2: So it's a ways off. So hokle, actually the right thing.
- 5:01Speaker 2: Just a ban on data centers for a year and
- 5:04Speaker 2: then we'll see. Let's go to rich in New Jersey.
- 5:07Speaker 2: Rich how you doing too quick?
- 5:11Speaker 6: One comment on food and the second a political question.
- 5:15Speaker 2: Having a food one.
- 5:17Speaker 6: All right, I'm always at Patsy's in Harlem on First Avenue,
- 5:21Speaker 6: the original location since nineteen thirty three. What they told
- 5:25Speaker 6: me there is that the other locations just pay for
- 5:28Speaker 6: the name.
- 5:28Speaker 2: Oh yeah, Now the real Patsy is the originally we're
- 5:30Speaker 2: talking about, not the great restaurant. We're talking about the
- 5:32Speaker 2: pizza place.
- 5:33Speaker 6: It's in Harbley, Pizza and erect They have pizza a
- 5:36Speaker 6: pizza walk up window on the right.
- 5:38Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 5:39Speaker 2: But Patsy's in Harlem.
- 5:41Speaker 6: And they have to sit down Italian next to it.
- 5:43Speaker 2: Yeah, I understand, but most people will go to Patsy's
- 5:45Speaker 2: in Harlem. You're going for the pizza if that's really
- 5:47Speaker 2: what they're known for, and very good.
- 5:50Speaker 6: And my question.
- 5:51Speaker 2: There is a chain that brought the rights to the
- 5:55Speaker 2: name Patsy. So if you look all over the place,
- 5:58Speaker 2: even in the suburbs, you'll see a pastis and they're
- 6:01Speaker 2: using the name, it's not the one in Harlem. And
- 6:03Speaker 2: then of course there's the Patsy's restaurant on West fifty
- 6:07Speaker 2: sixth Street. Now that's totally different, has nothing to do
- 6:09Speaker 2: with this stuff. The Patsy's restaurant, that's the restaurant where
- 6:13Speaker 2: Frank Sinatra went all the time, Rush Limbaugh, a million celebrities.
- 6:16Speaker 2: That's the landmark, legendary patsis no connection to the other place.
- 6:21Speaker 2: Let's go to Vincent and Brooklyn. Vincent, you've been to Patsy's.
- 6:24Speaker 5: Oh yeah, I love it. I love it. And last
- 6:27Speaker 5: year uk Marra came, it was Marriag's daughter. We had
- 6:31Speaker 5: a great time. Stewart from South Carolina is one hundred
- 6:35Speaker 5: percent on the money because under Mayor of the Blasio
- 6:38Speaker 5: we changed the police physical standards. Now you have women
- 6:43Speaker 5: who were fight for four and a roly police and
- 6:47Speaker 5: I don't know how these women are even on the force.
- 6:50Speaker 5: Whereas in Italy, men and women you have to be
- 6:53Speaker 5: a certain minimum height and weight and if you get fat,
- 6:57Speaker 5: they tell you to go on a diet. Liz peak
- 6:59Speaker 5: is one one hundred percent when she talks about why
- 7:03Speaker 5: the rents are out of control, no no joke here
- 7:06Speaker 5: in New York City. But what she did and mention
- 7:10Speaker 5: is every time, especially a townhouse, a small three to
- 7:14Speaker 5: four family walk up is flipped, the city sees what
- 7:19Speaker 5: it's a previous successed value and then they look at
- 7:23Speaker 5: what you sold the foot They go, oh, you sold
- 7:27Speaker 5: it for double the price that it was sold the
- 7:29Speaker 5: last time. Well, my friend, we're gonna have to raise
- 7:32Speaker 5: your taxes and that goes goes. Truth is true for business.
- 7:36Speaker 2: That's passed along to the tenants and the way is
- 7:39Speaker 2: going to be market Well, Vincent, we gotta we gotta
- 7:41Speaker 2: go do the news. But great call, Thanks for calling.
- 7:43Speaker 2: When we come back, Bill O'Reilly, he's going to be
- 7:45Speaker 2: with us next on seven to ten wor
