- 0:05Speaker 1: Hello, my loves. I'm so hyped on today. My guest
- 0:09Speaker 1: is basically Bachelor Nation Royalty.
- 0:11Speaker 2: She's the bachelorette who kept it.
- 0:13Speaker 1: Real, the wine queen behind Spade and Sparrow, and the
- 0:16Speaker 1: voice of Off the Vine. Caitlin Bristow is here. Finally,
- 0:20Speaker 1: we've been trying to set this up for so long.
- 0:24Speaker 3: No, I've bought you on my podcast too for so long.
- 0:26Speaker 3: I'm like, finally we're making this work.
- 0:28Speaker 2: Are you in New York?
- 0:30Speaker 3: No, I'm well, I'm off and in New York, but
- 0:32Speaker 3: I'm in Nashville. That's where I live.
- 0:34Speaker 2: Do you like it out there Nashville? Yeah?
- 0:38Speaker 3: I love it. I just I feel like it's kind
- 0:40Speaker 3: of like my Like I've made my home just my
- 0:43Speaker 3: little sanctuary where I don't really do much in Nashville.
- 0:46Speaker 3: If I travel to like LA and New York, I'm like,
- 0:49Speaker 3: you know, doing stuff. But when I'm home, I'm like
- 0:51Speaker 3: such a homebody. Yeah, and I just don't leave my house.
- 0:54Speaker 3: I just stay with my dog. So yeah, I love
- 0:55Speaker 3: it for that reason.
- 0:56Speaker 2: I'm totally with you.
- 0:57Speaker 1: I feel like I finally am rooted in La where
- 1:01Speaker 1: I have my house that I rarely leave. I've made
- 1:05Speaker 1: it my sanctuary, So I totally get that, but I
- 1:08Speaker 1: would I love Nashville. So my hope is that when
- 1:12Speaker 1: I can do your podcast, I get to come to you.
- 1:15Speaker 3: Oh please do. I would love to have you. And
- 1:18Speaker 3: it's like, I do feel like Nashville's kind of middle
- 1:21Speaker 3: ground and it's very I mean, it's growing like crazy,
- 1:23Speaker 3: but I feel like it still feels like a small
- 1:25Speaker 3: town in a big city and everyone's so friendly. And
- 1:28Speaker 3: I've been here for ten years, so I must like it.
- 1:30Speaker 2: That's a long time.
- 1:32Speaker 3: I know, I know it doesn't feel like I've been here.
- 1:34Speaker 2: That long, but yeah, what's the dating scene like in Nashville?
- 1:37Speaker 2: Is it getting hard?
- 1:37Speaker 3: Not good?
- 1:38Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 1:39Speaker 3: Apparently, like the ratio is like there's so many good
- 1:42Speaker 3: looking women and like awesome women in this I don't
- 1:47Speaker 3: know what it is about Nashville, but there's just like
- 1:49Speaker 3: so many great girls here. And then I just feel
- 1:51Speaker 3: like all the guys are so young, and everybody has
- 1:54Speaker 3: that broccoli haircut and like the backwards hat, you know
- 1:57Speaker 3: what I'm talking about, or they like have the side
- 1:59Speaker 3: shaved and it's like on top, like really like looking
- 2:03Speaker 3: here mop on top of their head. I don't know,
- 2:05Speaker 3: but I feel like everyone's so young.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Oh well, I feel like a lot of people left
- 2:10Speaker 1: cities like Los Angeles and New York and they started
- 2:13Speaker 1: going to like Nashville, they started going to Austin, and
- 2:17Speaker 1: I feel like it kind of like it changed things.
- 2:20Speaker 2: And like you said, in any city.
- 2:22Speaker 1: I feel like there's more incredible women who are like
- 2:26Speaker 1: just bringing all of it. They've got like the sexy happening,
- 2:30Speaker 1: They've got their shit together, and then these dudes where
- 2:33Speaker 1: I'm like, this is this is what's out there.
- 2:36Speaker 3: It's it's actually bizarre because I was pretty much in
- 2:40Speaker 3: a back to back relationship and two different relationships the
- 2:43Speaker 3: whole time I've been to Nashville. And then I was like,
- 2:46Speaker 3: oh my gosh, do I have to date in Nashville?
- 2:48Speaker 3: And then I was like, no, I'm not doing it.
- 2:51Speaker 3: I don't think I Actually I went on one double
- 2:54Speaker 3: date in Nashville, but it was like at a honky
- 2:57Speaker 3: Tonk on Broadway, which is my personal hell. And it
- 3:01Speaker 3: was like, fine, it was fun.
- 3:03Speaker 1: You got like some free drinks and a free meal whatever.
- 3:07Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, I got some like fried pickles and a beer.
- 3:10Speaker 3: It was great.
- 3:11Speaker 1: Hey, that sounds fucking awesome. It was my idea of
- 3:14Speaker 1: a five star night.
- 3:16Speaker 2: So that are you You're not opposed to dating like
- 3:19Speaker 2: long distance.
- 3:20Speaker 3: I'm really not, because I've so. When I was oh gosh,
- 3:24Speaker 3: I can't remember how old I was, I dated a
- 3:25Speaker 3: guy who was a hockey player, and he was always
- 3:28Speaker 3: like somewhere else, and then when he go to training camp,
- 3:31Speaker 3: it was in Germany at one point, and then I
- 3:33Speaker 3: was like, I've I've done it. And I actually love
- 3:36Speaker 3: long distance because I like missing somebody. I'm hyper independent.
- 3:42Speaker 3: My therapist says, it's a coping mechanism that I have
- 3:44Speaker 3: that I'm like hyperindependent. But I like being alone so much.
- 3:48Speaker 3: It's it's like it it recharges my batteries to be alone.
- 3:52Speaker 3: And I feel like I'm a better partner overall if
- 3:54Speaker 3: I have space. And I like going like say I
- 3:58Speaker 3: was dating someone in New York, Okay, to go to
- 4:00Speaker 3: New York and just see them for a week and
- 4:02Speaker 3: then come home for a couple of weeks, you go back.
- 4:04Speaker 3: I actually love it.
- 4:05Speaker 1: That resonates with me. I feel the same way I think.
- 4:09Speaker 1: I think long distance sounds like a dream, and you
- 4:13Speaker 1: I like the idea of missing someone and having them
- 4:16Speaker 1: miss me, and I like the idea of being able
- 4:19Speaker 1: to like go and kind of pull my shit together,
- 4:22Speaker 1: like when I'm at home, Like, I love just covering
- 4:25Speaker 1: myself in oil. You could fry an egg on my forehead.
- 4:29Speaker 3: It's just I'm looking at my shiny face right now.
- 4:34Speaker 1: But yes, well, by the way you and me both,
- 4:36Speaker 1: I'm always shiny though, because I'm like, I just want
- 4:39Speaker 1: to cake myself in oil and then like if I
- 4:41Speaker 1: if I have a man who's elsewhere, like that's my
- 4:44Speaker 1: time to like put on my push up bra and
- 4:46Speaker 1: look all kinds of sexy.
- 4:48Speaker 3: Totally. I love being gross, Like, I just love being gross.
- 4:52Speaker 3: It's one of my favorite things. I just like to
- 4:54Speaker 3: rot in my bed sometimes. I like to not worry
- 4:56Speaker 3: about what I look like smell, like, just like let
- 4:59Speaker 3: myself and then when I need to turn it on,
- 5:01Speaker 3: I turn it on.
- 5:02Speaker 1: I love that exact same thing. So you're I feel
- 5:05Speaker 1: like you're in good company. I've been watching Sex in
- 5:07Speaker 1: the City for the first time and everyone's like, oh,
- 5:10Speaker 1: you're watching and just like that, I'm like, no, I've
- 5:14Speaker 1: never seen Sex in the City like oge.
- 5:17Speaker 2: I've only seen.
- 5:18Speaker 3: The movie never either.
- 5:20Speaker 2: Oh my god, Caitlyn, you have to do it.
- 5:22Speaker 3: Well, I keep trying. So I'm the same way. I
- 5:25Speaker 3: had never watched Sex in the City and everyone's like,
- 5:27Speaker 3: you would love it, and then I tried to get
- 5:29Speaker 3: into it in season one. I was like, what is this?
- 5:31Speaker 3: And I feel like it's I can't get into I
- 5:34Speaker 3: can't get into it.
- 5:35Speaker 1: Okay, maybe it's I feel like timing is everything when
- 5:38Speaker 1: it comes to shows like it just it is what
- 5:41Speaker 1: it is. I have to be in the right head space.
- 5:43Speaker 1: And I did the exact same thing. But right now
- 5:47Speaker 1: you're doing a full rewatch of your season of The Bachelor.
- 5:53Speaker 3: Yeah I did.
- 5:53Speaker 1: Yeah, Okay, I'm obsessed with all of it. That sounds
- 5:56Speaker 1: like to ask me to go do a rewatch of O. G.
- 6:01Speaker 1: Vanner pump Rules sounds like the most horrendous idea ever.
- 6:06Speaker 3: I wish somebody warned me it was horrendous. It was.
- 6:10Speaker 3: It was a nightmare to rewatch. I thought it was
- 6:12Speaker 3: gonna be so fun and so cute and be like,
- 6:14Speaker 3: oh my god, ten years later like look at little
- 6:16Speaker 3: Caitlin and blah blah, and I was like sobbing and
- 6:18Speaker 3: having anxiety during the whole.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Thing because you were like embarrassed of behavior or like
- 6:23Speaker 1: where was what was it that made you like cringe?
- 6:27Speaker 3: No, it was more like I was actually really proud
- 6:31Speaker 3: of my behavior because I was like, that was super
- 6:34Speaker 3: true to myself. And I actually think I handled myself
- 6:37Speaker 3: better than than I would Now. I'm not sure why,
- 6:40Speaker 3: but I just I was really like, wow, I that
- 6:43Speaker 3: was pretty pretty good. Like the way I handled conversations
- 6:47Speaker 3: or tough times, like I was so messy, but I'm like, yeah,
- 6:51Speaker 3: that situation is messy. It was more so I think
- 6:55Speaker 3: I'm really good at compartmentalizing, and I think I put
- 6:58Speaker 3: all of that stuff that happened a drawer and pushed
- 7:01Speaker 3: it away, and I like hadn't opened that drawer in
- 7:03Speaker 3: ten years. And to go back and relive something that
- 7:07Speaker 3: was so real to me where you know, so many
- 7:10Speaker 3: people think it's staged or it's fake, or it's like scripted,
- 7:13Speaker 3: and it was one of the most like intense, real
- 7:16Speaker 3: things I've ever gone through in my life. And not
- 7:18Speaker 3: to mention like the production side of it, I felt
- 7:21Speaker 3: so betrayed by so many people. I was so naive
- 7:23Speaker 3: to television, Like just so much of it was reopened
- 7:27Speaker 3: when I was watching back that I it was like
- 7:30Speaker 3: I unlocked something that had been locked away forever.
- 7:34Speaker 2: Did you have to talk to your therapist about it?
- 7:36Speaker 3: Oh? Like I had to call in extra hours for
- 7:40Speaker 3: it because I was like, wow, I've never because I
- 7:42Speaker 3: thought about it, and I'm like, I've never really unpacked
- 7:45Speaker 3: what happened to me on that show or what I
- 7:47Speaker 3: went through, And all I did was when I came
- 7:50Speaker 3: out of it engaged, like when things got really bad,
- 7:53Speaker 3: we went and saw a therapist as like a couple's therapists.
- 7:56Speaker 3: But I never unpacked what I actually went through on
- 7:58Speaker 3: the show. So yes, there's a lot of therapy happen.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Yeah, I feel like when you're that young, because you
- 8:03Speaker 1: said it was ten years ago, So how how old
- 8:05Speaker 1: were you when you did The Bachelor?
- 8:07Speaker 3: I just turned forty. I was thirty, so.
- 8:10Speaker 1: You were okay, so you were thirty when you went
- 8:12Speaker 1: on even now, like I look at these girls who
- 8:15Speaker 1: because I'm from Utah and there's a lot of girls
- 8:18Speaker 1: who get engaged and start having kids around like twenty
- 8:23Speaker 1: twenty one.
- 8:24Speaker 2: Oh yeah, and so when.
- 8:26Speaker 1: I started dating seriously around twenty five, I felt like
- 8:30Speaker 1: I'm so like, I'm older, I'm mature, right, Yeah. Then
- 8:34Speaker 1: I have a baby at thirty and now I look
- 8:37Speaker 1: at girls.
- 8:37Speaker 2: Who are thirty. I'll be thirty five this year.
- 8:40Speaker 1: Girls who are thirty, and they're like, yeah, I just
- 8:41Speaker 1: feel like I need to, Like I should have a
- 8:44Speaker 1: kid by now. I'm like, wait, because although ocean is
- 8:48Speaker 1: like the best thing on the planet, I'm like, thirty
- 8:50Speaker 1: is so young. So to hear you talk about going
- 8:53Speaker 1: into such an intense environment, basically the name of the
- 8:58Speaker 1: game is to it's a it's a competition with women.
- 9:04Speaker 1: And I don't want to say that it's unhealthy.
- 9:08Speaker 2: To fight for the love and affection of a man
- 9:11Speaker 2: because I don't.
- 9:12Speaker 3: I don't want that's pretty toxic.
- 9:14Speaker 2: Okay, I'm gonna let you say.
- 9:16Speaker 1: I don't want this to ever feel like a like
- 9:18Speaker 1: a judgmental zone. But you being that age and just
- 9:23Speaker 1: being thrown into kind of like fight for a man's attention,
- 9:28Speaker 1: I can imagine that there was a lot that you
- 9:30Speaker 1: kind of pushed to the side, never to be thought again.
- 9:33Speaker 1: Like you said, you put it in a drawer and
- 9:34Speaker 1: didn't think about it.
- 9:36Speaker 3: Yeah, it's so interesting because I was so I went
- 9:40Speaker 3: on the Bachelor, and I actually was the most confident
- 9:43Speaker 3: I think I've been in my whole life, because I
- 9:46Speaker 3: had gone through such a horrible heartbreak. I had done
- 9:49Speaker 3: so much therapy on like figuring out who I was,
- 9:52Speaker 3: and I rebuilt my life and I came out of
- 9:54Speaker 3: it just being like, this is the perfect time for
- 9:56Speaker 3: me to go on a show like this, because I
- 9:58Speaker 3: didn't feel competitive with other women. I actually like I
- 10:03Speaker 3: went in there and I was like, I'm going to
- 10:06Speaker 3: show my like weird sense of humor. I'm going to
- 10:08Speaker 3: say offside jokes. I'm gonna like just be truly who
- 10:10Speaker 3: I am. And if he doesn't want that, like send
- 10:12Speaker 3: me home, I don't care. And I ended up making
- 10:14Speaker 3: so many beautiful friends in the house. And it was
- 10:17Speaker 3: more of when I was the bachelorette and dealing with
- 10:21Speaker 3: thirty twenty five to thirty. I can remember how many
- 10:24Speaker 3: men that are way more emotional than women, and like
- 10:28Speaker 3: being the lead and having to navigate so many different
- 10:31Speaker 3: personalities and relationships and like falling in love while also
- 10:36Speaker 3: still dating other people and constantly hurting people's feelings. Like
- 10:39Speaker 3: that's what really messed me up in the head more
- 10:42Speaker 3: than anything.
- 10:43Speaker 2: Wow.
- 10:44Speaker 1: So, so would you say that the toxicity of being
- 10:47Speaker 1: on the Bachelor came more from the production side of things.
- 10:52Speaker 2: Where it was like.
- 10:53Speaker 3: Yeah, only because I'm like, now I look back at
- 10:56Speaker 3: it because I've seen behind the curtains so many times
- 10:58Speaker 3: where I was on the Bachelor, i was the Bachelorette,
- 11:00Speaker 3: and then I got to host two seasons of the Bachelorette,
- 11:04Speaker 3: and then now I'm hosting this new show where now
- 11:06Speaker 3: I'm like, I have a little more understanding of production
- 11:11Speaker 3: and why they do what they do. I think I
- 11:14Speaker 3: just wish I was like not so naive because it
- 11:17Speaker 3: is toxic and they do. I don't know how to
- 11:20Speaker 3: explain it because it's not like they're forcing you to drink,
- 11:23Speaker 3: They're not forcing you to make decisions, but like things
- 11:26Speaker 3: are encouraged. And I never had been on TV before
- 11:29Speaker 3: and I never knew, so I truly thought the producers
- 11:32Speaker 3: were like wanting what's best for me, not what's best
- 11:35Speaker 3: for TV. So like it's taken a lot of time
- 11:39Speaker 3: to like forgive and forget, I guess and understand and
- 11:44Speaker 3: have a little more compassion for what they did because
- 11:47Speaker 3: I'm like, I get it now.
- 11:49Speaker 1: I think that's the biggest thing is you're on a
- 11:51Speaker 1: show where you're putting your heart and soul.
- 11:54Speaker 2: On the line.
- 11:55Speaker 3: Yeah, but it is.
- 11:58Speaker 2: First and foremost to entertain p exactly.
- 12:01Speaker 3: I'm I don't know why I didn't. That didn't register
- 12:04Speaker 3: to me.
- 12:04Speaker 2: Like, why does It's not normal? It's not normal.
- 12:08Speaker 3: I remember looking at It was Sean who I got
- 12:11Speaker 3: engaged to, and it was one of our last dates,
- 12:13Speaker 3: and he was looking at me like, Caitlin, you see
- 12:16Speaker 3: like what they're doing. And I was like, Sean, these
- 12:18Speaker 3: people want what's best for me. They are family, and
- 12:20Speaker 3: He's like, and I really believed that. I was like, oh,
- 12:25Speaker 3: poor naive Caitlin.
- 12:27Speaker 1: But that's I think probably what made you so special
- 12:29Speaker 1: is that you were authentically you. And I think as
- 12:35Speaker 1: as we get older and have more experiences, we lead
- 12:37Speaker 1: with a heart that's been traumatized.
- 12:41Speaker 3: So true. I'm so glad that I was naive because
- 12:45Speaker 3: it really did allow me to just kind of surrender
- 12:48Speaker 3: to the process of, you know, being true to each relationship,
- 12:52Speaker 3: being true to myself. I was so messy, and I
- 12:55Speaker 3: would do that again. I wouldn't change a thing. And
- 12:58Speaker 3: You're right like, now I go into see situations just
- 13:00Speaker 3: like having trust issues and being jaded, and I'm like,
- 13:04Speaker 3: well that's not good either.
- 13:05Speaker 1: No, I know, it's a really fine line that we're walking.
- 13:13Speaker 1: I love what you said that you made a lot
- 13:15Speaker 1: of friendships in the process though, so you still talk
- 13:18Speaker 1: to a lot of people that were on your season.
- 13:20Speaker 3: Yeah, it's the final three girls that were on the
- 13:24Speaker 3: Bachelor with me. It was Me, Whitney, and Beca Tilly.
- 13:28Speaker 3: We were like the final three and like you couldn't
- 13:30Speaker 3: separate us. We would like try and sneak out of
- 13:32Speaker 3: our hotel rooms to hang out with each other and
- 13:34Speaker 3: find what rooms we were in, and we all hung
- 13:37Speaker 3: out after and then like a few girls still from
- 13:40Speaker 3: that season, Ashley I was on. I don't know if
- 13:42Speaker 3: you're familiar with the Bachelor world at all, but actually
- 13:44Speaker 3: I was like icon in that world and I love
- 13:47Speaker 3: her so much and she is now married to a
- 13:50Speaker 3: guy that was on my season. Oh, I'm like, yeah,
- 13:53Speaker 3: it's all just like one big weird family.
- 13:56Speaker 2: It is. But I'm totally used to that.
- 13:58Speaker 1: It's like, let's just you know, swap it, flip it
- 14:01Speaker 1: up in the air, whatever we got to do to
- 14:03Speaker 1: find our love. Yeah, exactly, So it wasn't it wasn't weird,
- 14:07Speaker 1: like kicking it with these people, knowing that your bulls
- 14:10Speaker 1: like kind of sharing intimate experiences with the same guy,
- 14:15Speaker 1: I think.
- 14:15Speaker 3: All the time because I'm like, why was that not weird?
- 14:19Speaker 3: And well, now Beca Tilly is engaged to a woman,
- 14:23Speaker 3: and I think, looking back, I think I really wasn't
- 14:27Speaker 3: super in love with the Bachelor, because I know how
- 14:30Speaker 3: I am when I'm in love, and I think I
- 14:32Speaker 3: was just very like I wanted to win almost and
- 14:35Speaker 3: then I got scared towards the end because I was like, oh, no,
- 14:38Speaker 3: he's obsessed with me, even though he dumped me, like blindsided,
- 14:41Speaker 3: and I was like, wait, what, You're not obsessed with me?
- 14:44Speaker 3: But I was like, I don't know why. The three
- 14:46Speaker 3: of us just like totally separated it. I think Beca
- 14:49Speaker 3: and I knew after after I got sent home. I
- 14:52Speaker 3: think Beca and I knew that it was Whitney and
- 14:56Speaker 3: I don't know, we all just were kind of there
- 14:58Speaker 3: for each other. Okay, so strange. I don't understand it.
- 15:02Speaker 1: Well, there is nothing like a bond between women who
- 15:05Speaker 1: have had to deal with the same guy.
- 15:07Speaker 2: That's true, but it's usually not in real time.
- 15:10Speaker 3: It's not in real time. I think we all understood
- 15:13Speaker 3: the assignment. Oh, I don't know, it's I think Whitney
- 15:18Speaker 3: was the one who was truly there for Chris. I
- 15:21Speaker 3: think she was really in love with him. I think
- 15:23Speaker 3: she really wanted to marry him. And I think Beckett
- 15:25Speaker 3: and I were just like in the whirlwind of the show.
- 15:29Speaker 1: Do you guys have your phones when you're filming. No,
- 15:32Speaker 1: you don't get them until you're like completely finished.
- 15:35Speaker 3: Yeah, and it's it. I mean, when you're in the
- 15:37Speaker 3: final three, I want to say, that's like ten weeks
- 15:40Speaker 3: of filming.
- 15:41Speaker 2: What, Yeah, just the final three?
- 15:44Speaker 3: Yeah, Like it's if you make it to the end,
- 15:47Speaker 3: it's ten it's ten weeks, I think. And for the
- 15:49Speaker 3: person who actually like gets engaged, I think it's eleven weeks.
- 15:53Speaker 2: Don't they start with like twenty five chicks.
- 15:56Speaker 3: Yes, And then so like if you got sent home
- 15:59Speaker 3: week one, then you're gone. So you only did a
- 16:01Speaker 3: week of filming, okay, because you continue to go on
- 16:04Speaker 3: the final three, you go to somewhere like exotic, and
- 16:07Speaker 3: then you have like some downtime, and then the one
- 16:10Speaker 3: person gets like the date, and then they have the overnight,
- 16:12Speaker 3: and then the bachelor gets a day off, and then
- 16:14Speaker 3: the next girl goes and then they do the rose
- 16:16Speaker 3: ceremony at the end of that week.
- 16:18Speaker 1: So then.
- 16:20Speaker 3: It's a lot of filming and it's a lot of
- 16:22Speaker 3: downtime for the contestants, but it is as being the
- 16:26Speaker 3: lead of that show, you do not. I think I
- 16:28Speaker 3: got like four hours of sleep at night, and if
- 16:30Speaker 3: I was had any downtime, it was like, we'll put
- 16:32Speaker 3: on your dress from this night and do pickups from
- 16:35Speaker 3: this and it was it was so much work.
- 16:38Speaker 1: And then you did the first ever season of Bachelorette
- 16:42Speaker 1: with another chick.
- 16:43Speaker 3: Yes, but that was so they Night one it was
- 16:47Speaker 3: between me and another girl who I actually got along
- 16:50Speaker 3: with quite well, and I think they really wanted us
- 16:53Speaker 3: to be like but we were like, we're very different people,
- 16:57Speaker 3: Like if they want her, then they're not for me,
- 16:59Speaker 3: and we were very realistic about it. But they had
- 17:01Speaker 3: to vote. The guys had to vote night one, and
- 17:04Speaker 3: they had to put a rose. They had to go
- 17:08Speaker 3: into like a voting room and put a rose in
- 17:10Speaker 3: somebody's box and yeah, and they ended up like I
- 17:16Speaker 3: don't know what the vote total was, but I ended
- 17:18Speaker 3: up getting it and Britt had to go home, and
- 17:20Speaker 3: I was like, I felt so bad because she's such
- 17:25Speaker 3: a sweetheart, and I was like, oh no, I actually
- 17:27Speaker 3: felt bad.
- 17:28Speaker 2: Well, I like having a partner in crime.
- 17:32Speaker 1: So for me to have like a little friend who's
- 17:34Speaker 1: like just as nervous as I am and we can
- 17:36Speaker 1: talk about the experience. I think I would bond with
- 17:40Speaker 1: a chick and be like, I don't care if all
- 17:41Speaker 1: these guys go home.
- 17:42Speaker 2: I just like want to feel safe with my girlfriend.
- 17:46Speaker 3: I totally agree. It was actually so fun because her
- 17:48Speaker 3: and I got to do press together, so we got
- 17:51Speaker 3: to like do the media rounds of like Kelly and
- 17:55Speaker 3: Michael and Good Morning America, and we got to do
- 17:57Speaker 3: all of it together to promote it because nobody knew
- 18:00Speaker 3: who had gotten to be the bachelorette at that point,
- 18:03Speaker 3: and that was actually really fun for us.
- 18:05Speaker 2: That's really cute.
- 18:07Speaker 3: Yeah, it was cute.
- 18:08Speaker 2: That's I mean.
- 18:09Speaker 1: But I'm I prefer girls and gays. Like to put
- 18:11Speaker 1: me in a room full of twenty five fucking dicks,
- 18:14Speaker 1: I wouldn't even know what to do with myself.
- 18:17Speaker 3: I can't believe. I couldn't believe how much more emotional
- 18:21Speaker 3: and sensitive because they're egos. Like it was crazy because
- 18:25Speaker 3: I was like I was constantly having to like make
- 18:28Speaker 3: men feel better at all times. I was like, God,
- 18:30Speaker 3: this is and then my final too just like hated
- 18:33Speaker 3: each other. So it was like the Sean and Nick
- 18:35Speaker 3: Show of everything where I was just like, oh God,
- 18:36Speaker 3: can you guys just stop? It was so annoying. Great
- 18:39Speaker 3: for TV though, Great TV, Great TV.
- 18:42Speaker 2: Because you had done this already.
- 18:44Speaker 1: Like I always find anytime there is a camera that
- 18:47Speaker 1: wants to like capture me in the wild, I'm like,
- 18:51Speaker 1: I don't know how to talk to dudes when you're filming,
- 18:55Speaker 1: Like it just is very intimidating. Were you able to
- 18:58Speaker 1: get to know the dudes the way that you normally
- 19:02Speaker 1: would like when you're just out with your girlfriends, Like
- 19:06Speaker 1: do you feel like you're pretty copy and paste in
- 19:08Speaker 1: both situations?
- 19:09Speaker 3: And so on Bachelorette, I found that I was almost
- 19:13Speaker 3: again I don't want to say forced, but it was
- 19:15Speaker 3: forced to have certain conversations because you're looking to be
- 19:19Speaker 3: engaged and find your husband. So it was like very
- 19:22Speaker 3: serious conversations right out of the gates. It was like
- 19:25Speaker 3: very much like are you looking for marriage? Like how
- 19:27Speaker 3: many kids? Like I wanted to talk about people's finances
- 19:30Speaker 3: and like political beliefs.
- 19:33Speaker 1: Yeah, those are huge themes when you're moving forward with right,
- 19:36Speaker 1: do you want to marry someone, you got to know
- 19:38Speaker 1: that shit.
- 19:39Speaker 3: It's speed dating. It is speed dating. So in the
- 19:42Speaker 3: real world, I'm like, I am such a like my
- 19:46Speaker 3: way of flirting is to like poke fun and banter
- 19:50Speaker 3: and like not play games. But like I'm very much
- 19:53Speaker 3: just like a jokester. Where As the Bachelorette it made
- 19:56Speaker 3: me have it forced me to have more serious conversations,
- 20:00Speaker 3: where then after I came out of the relationship, I
- 20:04Speaker 3: was like, like on a first date, I would be
- 20:06Speaker 3: like having the serious conversations, So it just changed.
- 20:10Speaker 2: Kind of that's interesting to me. I'm kind of the
- 20:12Speaker 2: same way.
- 20:13Speaker 1: I have a really hard time having like deep conversations
- 20:17Speaker 1: when it comes like I kind of make light of
- 20:20Speaker 1: every single topic when I am dating, and I don't
- 20:26Speaker 1: know that it's the most productive.
- 20:27Speaker 2: I'm glad that I'm not alone, and you're the same way.
- 20:30Speaker 3: You're not alone.
- 20:31Speaker 2: I like it.
- 20:31Speaker 3: I like building more of like a bond and a
- 20:35Speaker 3: friendship and seeing if I'm like it has that and
- 20:38Speaker 3: the romantic connection, where on the Bachelorette I felt just like, Okay,
- 20:43Speaker 3: these are like the men I have to choose from
- 20:45Speaker 3: and I have to pick like the best from the group,
- 20:48Speaker 3: and like it was just so fast paced and you
- 20:52Speaker 3: don't get a lot of time. So like when I
- 20:54Speaker 3: got engaged, I didn't know his middle name and we
- 20:58Speaker 3: were like in a house together and I was going
- 21:02Speaker 3: to do a photo shoot to say like I'm engaged,
- 21:05Speaker 3: and he was like, well, wait, what's your phone number?
- 21:08Speaker 3: And I was like, this is weird, Like you just
- 21:10Speaker 3: don't like you had so many serious conversations with maybe
- 21:14Speaker 3: three or four of them where you're like, Okay, I
- 21:16Speaker 3: think I know this person, but the rest like I
- 21:18Speaker 3: couldn't even I don't even know anything about them.
- 21:22Speaker 2: Yeah, well, how could you?
- 21:23Speaker 1: I have a question since doing stepping in as more
- 21:28Speaker 1: of a host, did you like because I know that
- 21:32Speaker 1: your personal life you like to as far as dating
- 21:35Speaker 1: at least, you like to keep that very private, which
- 21:37Speaker 1: is crazy when you think about the whole reason why
- 21:41Speaker 1: you are on the map was because your love life
- 21:44Speaker 1: was out there for people. Yeah, do you find that
- 21:48Speaker 1: you prefer more of a hosting role instead of being
- 21:52Speaker 1: like the main character of the storyline?
- 21:55Speaker 3: Very very much? So, I love hosting that. Like when
- 21:58Speaker 3: I got to host The Bachelorette, I was doing it
- 22:02Speaker 3: with Tasha and she had covid on the final Bros. Episode,
- 22:06Speaker 3: which is three hours of live television with a teleprompter,
- 22:10Speaker 3: commercial breaks, navigating these people's feelings, and it was and
- 22:16Speaker 3: you have somebody in your ear like telling you to
- 22:18Speaker 3: count down and do this and make sure you get
- 22:20Speaker 3: to this person this, and I was like, I think
- 22:23Speaker 3: this is what I was born to do. I loved
- 22:25Speaker 3: every second of it. I loved reading off the teleprompter,
- 22:28Speaker 3: I loved hosting. I loved like running the show. And
- 22:32Speaker 3: I hated being the Bachelorette. I thought I would love it.
- 22:35Speaker 3: I hated it. I felt I just felt so much pressure.
- 22:41Speaker 3: And then for some reason, as a host, I feel
- 22:43Speaker 3: like I'm like comfortable and I feel like it's what
- 22:45Speaker 3: I'm supposed to be doing. I don't. I don't know why,
- 22:47Speaker 3: but that's that's really how I feel. Well.
- 22:49Speaker 1: You get to still be in a place of entertaining people,
- 22:54Speaker 1: but you don't have you don't you're not.
- 22:56Speaker 2: As exposed and left as vulnerable.
- 22:58Speaker 3: And I think that's such a good point. I really
- 23:01Speaker 3: do enjoy, like I'm okay with being vulnerable. But I'm like, like,
- 23:05Speaker 3: if somebody asked me to go on Traders, I would
- 23:07Speaker 3: be like, hell yeah. But if somebody asked me to
- 23:09Speaker 3: go on like back as the bachelorette or bachelor in
- 23:12Speaker 3: pared or something like. I don't know. I think it's
- 23:15Speaker 3: what we were kind of saying earlier with being jaded
- 23:18Speaker 3: and leading with a jaded heart. I'm like, I want
- 23:20Speaker 3: to keep my dating life now so private and like
- 23:23Speaker 3: sacred to me because I have exposed myself and shared
- 23:28Speaker 3: so much of relationships and it has done nothing but
- 23:31Speaker 3: invite people in for their judgment and criticism and taking
- 23:35Speaker 3: the people like always want like the man to They're
- 23:38Speaker 3: always so much like on a man's side, and I
- 23:42Speaker 3: don't know what that is. Like in every situation I've
- 23:44Speaker 3: been in, it's like Caitlin's the crazy one and she
- 23:46Speaker 3: must be doing this and this and poor this guy,
- 23:49Speaker 3: and it's always that situation. And I'm like, I'm just
- 23:51Speaker 3: done with it for now until I'm married, and like
- 23:54Speaker 3: maybe want to show something once in a blue moon,
- 23:56Speaker 3: then I'll do that, but I'm just like, I think
- 23:58Speaker 3: I'm so jaded from sharing it. It feels so sacred
- 24:01Speaker 3: to me now.
- 24:01Speaker 1: I think that's beautiful. I think that's great. That's similar
- 24:04Speaker 1: to how I feel about parenthood. No one's ever seen
- 24:07Speaker 1: me as a mom on TV, and it's like a
- 24:11Speaker 1: blessing and a curse because it's the most proud Those
- 24:14Speaker 1: are my most proud moments.
- 24:16Speaker 2: But also in those moments.
- 24:18Speaker 1: You offer the outside world to now place judgment and
- 24:23Speaker 1: give their two cents, and you just you hold certain
- 24:26Speaker 1: things close to your heart.
- 24:26Speaker 2: And I think that's totally fair.
- 24:28Speaker 3: Yeah, and have you seen the internet in twenty twenty five,
- 24:30Speaker 3: I'm like, I'm terrified.
- 24:32Speaker 2: Let me tell you something, Caitlin.
- 24:34Speaker 1: After and I've spiraled about this for a very long time.
- 24:40Speaker 1: After season eleven a vander Pump Rules, I told my
- 24:47Speaker 1: it was so intense for me that I just wanted
- 24:51Speaker 1: to disappear. I was like, I'll go and record my podcast.
- 24:54Speaker 1: I don't I would get you know, like we all
- 24:57Speaker 1: get invited to red carpets for movie premiere or whatever,
- 25:00Speaker 1: and I was like, I just don't want to be
- 25:04Speaker 1: involved at all because I am so afraid of the Internet.
- 25:08Speaker 1: And that has never ever been a thought in my
- 25:12Speaker 1: mind until a couple of years ago, where I was like,
- 25:15Speaker 1: I just want to be a normal stay at home mom,
- 25:18Speaker 1: pay the bills on time, no one fucking talked, don't
- 25:21Speaker 1: look at me, don't talk about me, and I'm still
- 25:24Speaker 1: kind of there.
- 25:25Speaker 2: The internet is scary.
- 25:27Speaker 3: It is scary, and it's so funny because so many
- 25:29Speaker 3: people have told me that you and I would be
- 25:30Speaker 3: good friends and that we like speak our mind and
- 25:32Speaker 3: that we're like similar personalities. And I've never been afraid
- 25:36Speaker 3: to like say what I think and say what I
- 25:38Speaker 3: want online, and now I'm just like, it's not worth it.
- 25:41Speaker 2: No, I don't.
- 25:42Speaker 3: I don't. I don't really care what other people have
- 25:45Speaker 3: to say. But it's more of like it's scary seeing
- 25:48Speaker 3: what they have to say, because I'm like, what is
- 25:50Speaker 3: wrong with our world? And it's like I don't even
- 25:52Speaker 3: want to see it anymore. And I'm like, I don't know.
- 25:55Speaker 3: It's I still put so much stuff out there, but
- 25:57Speaker 3: I'm like it's almost like an experiment. Sometimes I'm like,
- 26:02Speaker 3: how weird are people going to get? If I'm in
- 26:03Speaker 3: a bathing suit online? The amount of attacks I get,
- 26:07Speaker 3: I'm like, so then I'm like, it just depends on
- 26:11Speaker 3: what I always say. It depends on what cycle I'm
- 26:13Speaker 3: in of my period of how sassy I am online, Okay,
- 26:16Speaker 3: because if I'm in a sassy mood, I'll be like, oh,
- 26:19Speaker 3: you don't like be in a bathing suit and then
- 26:20Speaker 3: I'll get like weird and I'll dance so like I
- 26:22Speaker 3: ain't got no panties off bathing suit, you know. I
- 26:25Speaker 3: just I'm just And then other times I'm like crying
- 26:28Speaker 3: in a corner. You just I don't know.
- 26:29Speaker 2: You never know. Depends on the day, it really does.
- 26:32Speaker 3: And I'm also Gemini with a lot of cancer in
- 26:35Speaker 3: my chart, and so I'm like very spicy and then
- 26:38Speaker 3: very sensitive.
- 26:39Speaker 1: That is I so relate to that, like you're speaking
- 26:43Speaker 1: my language. I'm like, I'm Virgo sun with Scorpio rising,
- 26:47Speaker 1: so the two of those are in constant conflict with
- 26:51Speaker 1: each other.
- 26:51Speaker 2: So I feel for you, and the Gemini alone is
- 26:55Speaker 2: intense enough.
- 26:57Speaker 3: I feel like I'm a walking contradiction at all times
- 26:59Speaker 3: because I like, don't I don't make any sense. I'm like, yeah,
- 27:02Speaker 3: come at me, bro, And then they come at me,
- 27:04Speaker 3: and I'm like crying, and I'm like, I'm just so confusing.
- 27:08Speaker 1: That's everybody. Everyone is a walking contradiction. That's just called life.
- 27:15Speaker 2: I'm really excited to talk to you about.
- 27:17Speaker 1: You've got this show that premierees on Hulu on August eighteenth.
- 27:21Speaker 1: It's called Are You by first, I have to all.
- 27:24Speaker 1: All I know is it's about a group of virgins.
- 27:27Speaker 3: Okay, so and are you already sold on the show?
- 27:30Speaker 2: I'm already sold. And I may be a born again
- 27:33Speaker 2: virgin who knows.
- 27:34Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, I'm telling you this is the this
- 27:37Speaker 3: I've walked away from that show being like, this is
- 27:41Speaker 3: gonna be the best show out there. It was so entertaining.
- 27:44Speaker 3: But it was such a combination of awkward, sweet, endearing, dramatic.
- 27:51Speaker 3: It was like cute. It was so many different things
- 27:55Speaker 3: all in one, and I am obsessed with this group
- 27:57Speaker 3: of people. And I remember thinking, like when they asked
- 28:00Speaker 3: me if I would be interested in hosting this show,
- 28:03Speaker 3: I was like what because I was like I always
- 28:06Speaker 3: call myself the slut of the franchise of Bachelor Nation
- 28:09Speaker 3: because I like openly talked about sex and people were
- 28:11Speaker 3: like ugh, and so I was like really me. And
- 28:15Speaker 3: then it was like with Colton Underwood, I was like,
- 28:16Speaker 3: did this actually makes sense?
- 28:18Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 28:18Speaker 3: And I like mentoring people. I like being there for
- 28:21Speaker 3: people on reality TV, and I like them to think
- 28:23Speaker 3: of me as not just a host. Is like, so
- 28:26Speaker 3: my question to all the producers and stuff, which they're
- 28:29Speaker 3: the producers from Love Island. It's basically Virgin Island, you know,
- 28:33Speaker 3: it's like the same kind of concept, okay, And I
- 28:36Speaker 3: remember being like, Okay, but can I actually like have
- 28:40Speaker 3: real conversations with the cast of the show. Can I
- 28:45Speaker 3: be there for them if they need conversations like and
- 28:48Speaker 3: they were like yes. I was like, Okay, then I'm
- 28:50Speaker 3: in because I liked being able to do that on
- 28:53Speaker 3: The Bachelorette as well. And it was just so I mean,
- 28:58Speaker 3: everybody comes from such a different walk of life. You've
- 29:00Speaker 3: got people people are virgins for all different reasons. And
- 29:03Speaker 3: you know, sex is such a taboo topic. Whether you
- 29:06Speaker 3: have it, that's you know, ah you don't. Everyone's like,
- 29:10Speaker 3: oh my god, it's says such a judgmental thing. And
- 29:13Speaker 3: having these men and women on the show be so
- 29:17Speaker 3: open about it and there are reasons for it, you know.
- 29:20Speaker 3: It goes anywhere from religion to like one girl has vaginismus,
- 29:26Speaker 3: which like, do you know what that is? No? Tell me,
- 29:30Speaker 3: I actually I actually have it too, And I was like,
- 29:32Speaker 3: I'd never heard of anyone else having it. It's basically like,
- 29:36Speaker 3: so if I go into a doctor like to get
- 29:39Speaker 3: a physical, like they have to use the like mini
- 29:41Speaker 3: one on me. And it's not because like, oh, I
- 29:43Speaker 3: have a type vagina. It's because I actually, like my
- 29:46Speaker 3: muscles will seize up anytime something even goes near it,
- 29:50Speaker 3: and think, like sex is painful for me at the beginning,
- 29:53Speaker 3: going to get a physical is painful for me. And
- 29:56Speaker 3: I had never heard anyone else have it. And one
- 29:58Speaker 3: of the reasons this girl on here is a virgin
- 30:00Speaker 3: and is because she has that, and I'm like, well,
- 30:02Speaker 3: I'm definitely not a virgin and I still have that,
- 30:04Speaker 3: but it's it's actually like more common. My doctor wants
- 30:07Speaker 3: me to go to physical therapy to like, was.
- 30:09Speaker 2: It like a hip a hip issue?
- 30:12Speaker 1: It's the actual vagina is closing up, yes, And to be.
- 30:17Speaker 3: Honest with you, like it's it can be like from
- 30:19Speaker 3: a traumatic event. Like for me personally, it's because when
- 30:21Speaker 3: I was I don't know, sixteen years old, my boyfriend
- 30:25Speaker 3: was trying to force me to do things and I
- 30:27Speaker 3: think it like traumatized me, and so I seize up
- 30:30Speaker 3: anytime like something goes near there. Yeah, and so I don't.
- 30:36Speaker 3: You'll probably find out through the episodes like why why
- 30:40Speaker 3: she has it? And there's just so many different reasons,
- 30:42Speaker 3: like somebody's a Mormon, she has vaginismus, somebody's really just
- 30:45Speaker 3: waiting for the right one. Other people are just like
- 30:48Speaker 3: the one girl is scared of penises. She's like they're
- 30:50Speaker 3: scary looking. I'm like, I totally agree. And it's just
- 30:54Speaker 3: everybody's so vulnerable and like sweet, and it's just a
- 30:59Speaker 3: it's a very entertaining show.
- 31:01Speaker 2: And what would you say the age range.
- 31:03Speaker 3: Is, it's anywhere from I think the youngest is like
- 31:06Speaker 3: twenty three or twenty four thirty.
- 31:10Speaker 1: Oh okay, so they're young, yeah, and they're young enough
- 31:13Speaker 1: to be sexually active, but right, yes, but still still young,
- 31:18Speaker 1: and you know they've got there. I mean, I have
- 31:21Speaker 1: low testosterone right now, so I'm like, I like, do
- 31:25Speaker 1: you really I.
- 31:26Speaker 3: Just got on a testosterone cream. I'm like, is this forty?
- 31:29Speaker 3: Like I'm like it was like I turned forty and
- 31:32Speaker 3: I had to go on testosterone cream. I'm like growing
- 31:36Speaker 3: a full beard. It's like it's a whole thing.
- 31:41Speaker 1: I It's like, it's just it is what it is, right,
- 31:43Speaker 1: every single woman's gonna go through it. My mother, who's
- 31:46Speaker 1: sixty five, has higher testosterone than I do right now.
- 31:49Speaker 2: So I'm like what the fuck is this?
- 31:51Speaker 1: And I want to blame it on postpartum, but I
- 31:53Speaker 1: mean we're rounding into a year, bro, I'm like this,
- 31:56Speaker 1: you can't still be this right.
- 31:58Speaker 3: I'm always looking to blame something. And my mom's like,
- 32:01Speaker 3: maybe blame Perry menopause, and I was like, I hate it.
- 32:05Speaker 2: I don't say that word like that alone.
- 32:09Speaker 3: Just like I don't feel forty. I feel so young.
- 32:11Speaker 3: I feel like the best I've ever felt, So do
- 32:13Speaker 3: like my body you'd be going through this stuff, I'm like, what.
- 32:17Speaker 2: No, But it's all about your mind. The mind is
- 32:20Speaker 2: what caused the shots.
- 32:22Speaker 1: So if you feel like you're, you know, twenty seven,
- 32:25Speaker 1: still you fucking get it, bitch.
- 32:27Speaker 3: I do I feel like twenty nine thirty?
- 32:30Speaker 2: That's hey, ten years off. That's perfect.
- 32:34Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 32:34Speaker 1: My other question is do they get laid on the show?
- 32:40Speaker 3: I could say that one couple definitely entered the love shack,
- 32:43Speaker 3: which is where you're supposed to go if that's what
- 32:46Speaker 3: you would like to do. But it was very important
- 32:48Speaker 3: to not only the cast, but Colton and I and
- 32:52Speaker 3: all the producers to not force anyone or you know.
- 32:55Speaker 3: That was like a big conversation we had before even filming, Like,
- 32:59Speaker 3: nobody is to feel forced, nobody is to feel like
- 33:02Speaker 3: we're pushing something on them. Like it's very much building
- 33:05Speaker 3: relationships and finding love, and we like obviously hope they
- 33:09Speaker 3: found somebody. But it's one of those things that I
- 33:13Speaker 3: have to say, like tune in, why I.
- 33:14Speaker 1: Know, No, I love the tune in and find out
- 33:16Speaker 1: because I will be tuning in to find out the
- 33:19Speaker 1: thing that I love you. Saying that no one was forced.
- 33:23Speaker 1: Is your first your first not sexual experience, but your
- 33:28Speaker 1: first sexual experience. That kind of sets the tone for
- 33:31Speaker 1: how you view sex for the rest of your life.
- 33:36Speaker 1: And I lost my virginity at seventeen to my high
- 33:39Speaker 1: school sweetheart and we were together for a long time.
- 33:42Speaker 1: It was nothing but pleasant. And then I had a
- 33:45Speaker 1: friend who lost her virginity. I want to say she
- 33:48Speaker 1: was probably twenty two or twenty three. She'd waited a
- 33:50Speaker 1: long time. She lost her virginity to a very very
- 33:55Speaker 1: a list celebrity, and it completely fucked up.
- 34:01Speaker 2: Her view of self.
- 34:02Speaker 3: Yeah, oh oh gosh. Was it like somebody freaky and
- 34:06Speaker 3: kinky that has like been there, done.
- 34:08Speaker 1: That, Yes, And I like no commitment obviously, And so
- 34:12Speaker 1: when one.
- 34:12Speaker 2: Party has held out to like sleep with.
- 34:16Speaker 1: Someone that they are into, and then the other person
- 34:20Speaker 1: is like, I'm just here for a good time and I.
- 34:22Speaker 2: Do this nightly with multiple chicks. It can fuck with you.
- 34:26Speaker 3: Oh, that totally would.
- 34:28Speaker 2: It would.
- 34:28Speaker 1: So I'm like really happy that the whole point of
- 34:31Speaker 1: the show is like creating a place to feel safe
- 34:35Speaker 1: where you're.
- 34:37Speaker 2: You know, showing it all and it's intimidating.
- 34:41Speaker 3: It is intimidating, and I think they were very like
- 34:43Speaker 3: nervous and intimidated. And you know, on shows, like any
- 34:47Speaker 3: kind of dating show, you're really pushing your boundaries and
- 34:50Speaker 3: getting uncomfortable, and to do that in front of cameras
- 34:54Speaker 3: and so they're just they were so they were so
- 34:59Speaker 3: willing to just explore and be open about everything, and
- 35:04Speaker 3: it was I loved every single one of them. I
- 35:06Speaker 3: just I just walked away from it being like they
- 35:09Speaker 3: got the best. Those are those the best group virgins
- 35:12Speaker 3: you could possibly get for television.
- 35:14Speaker 5: Oh my god, this is the best group of virgins.
- 35:18Speaker 3: I was like, we need a season two because you
- 35:20Speaker 3: can you'll be able to see like it's it's you know,
- 35:23Speaker 3: of course there's an element of poking fun and humor
- 35:26Speaker 3: to it, but at the same time, it really is
- 35:30Speaker 3: it's more so to like showcase and and destigmatize like
- 35:35Speaker 3: what virginity is, and I think it's it's actually out there.
- 35:38Speaker 3: There's like proof right now that the gen Z or
- 35:41Speaker 3: whatever it is, like people are waiting longer now or
- 35:44Speaker 3: trying to find the right one, and it's like, you know,
- 35:47Speaker 3: people aren't getting wasted and going to bars and having
- 35:49Speaker 3: one night stands anymore, and it is interesting to just
- 35:52Speaker 3: see everybody's different reasoning for why and have a show
- 35:57Speaker 3: out there to talk about it.
- 35:58Speaker 1: I'm happy about that too, because I feel like sex
- 36:02Speaker 1: is either not talked about or it shoved in your face,
- 36:05Speaker 1: And I'm like, where's like the gray area where we
- 36:08Speaker 1: can like have conversations and have them be productive and healthy,
- 36:12Speaker 1: because there are Like I was talking to a friend
- 36:15Speaker 1: the other day and I was like, yeah, I was
- 36:16Speaker 1: going through a whole phase, and he was like, do
- 36:20Speaker 1: you realize that men who go around and like they
- 36:23Speaker 1: never say like I was going through a whole phase.
- 36:25Speaker 1: They just like live their life and it's not labeled.
- 36:30Speaker 1: I'm like, that is so true because I have been
- 36:33Speaker 1: through a few whole phases in my life and then
- 36:37Speaker 1: right where you think back and you're like, oh, wow,
- 36:39Speaker 1: was really you know, like I went forward.
- 36:42Speaker 3: I don't know how this girl has vaginismus because but
- 36:46Speaker 3: I knew. But it's like, yeah, I feel you whole face. Yeah,
- 36:49Speaker 3: you're right. No, men don't say that. They just do it.
- 36:52Speaker 1: They just do it, and then they move on with
- 36:54Speaker 1: their lives. And then there are points in time where
- 36:58Speaker 1: I'm like, wow, I don't need I don't want it,
- 37:01Speaker 1: Like I think it's a luxury to be all up
- 37:03Speaker 1: in this bitch and I'm I was just gonna give
- 37:07Speaker 1: it to whoever, Like what are you bringing to the
- 37:09Speaker 1: table And it can't just be a big dick anymore?
- 37:13Speaker 2: Like, no, you gotta be bringing a lot more.
- 37:16Speaker 3: Yeah, I need way more than that. I'm like that's
- 37:19Speaker 3: another thing where I was talking about therapist about it,
- 37:20Speaker 3: because I'm like I need to be stimulated mentally so
- 37:24Speaker 3: much more now than I ever used to be, Like
- 37:26Speaker 3: I cannot just sit here and like be with a
- 37:29Speaker 3: guy i'm attracted to and be like own bang. Like
- 37:32Speaker 3: I'm just like not like that. I'm like I want
- 37:34Speaker 3: you to mentally stimulate me and then like go for
- 37:38Speaker 3: a nice dinner and have deep conversation and then like
- 37:41Speaker 3: get like I need to get there where we are
- 37:44Speaker 3: in oh phase that I'm not ashamed of. I would like,
- 37:49Speaker 3: let's I do loser laps around a bar and be
- 37:51Speaker 3: like you me, let's go.
- 37:53Speaker 2: For I like, what is that?
- 37:56Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 37:57Speaker 5: I don't know if it.
- 37:57Speaker 3: Was insecurity or just being blained stupid. I don't know.
- 38:01Speaker 3: I just was like I loved going out to a bar.
- 38:04Speaker 3: I loved trying to find like I would like, look, Okay,
- 38:07Speaker 3: this is so embarrassing. I think I've said it before,
- 38:08Speaker 3: but maybe not, but this is so embarrassing. I used
- 38:10Speaker 3: to look up like the NHL schedule and be like, Okay,
- 38:14Speaker 3: what teams in town tonight? Do they play the next day?
- 38:17Speaker 3: Because if they don't, they're going out tonight. And I'd
- 38:19Speaker 3: like go on a hunt to find a hockey player.
- 38:21Speaker 3: It's so Canadian.
- 38:22Speaker 2: That is very Canadian.
- 38:24Speaker 1: By the way, I'm like, hockey, that's so weird now
- 38:26Speaker 1: it tracks. I do remember seeing that you're a Canadian.
- 38:29Speaker 1: But I feel like every chick has been a Jersey
- 38:33Speaker 1: chaser at some point.
- 38:34Speaker 3: Wow. I mean there's still girls like my age. You want,
- 38:38Speaker 3: you know, the wag life. It seems great.
- 38:40Speaker 1: It seems it seemed great I think when I was young,
- 38:44Speaker 1: and now I look at it and I'm like, that
- 38:46Speaker 1: seems like a whole lot of like heartbreak and sadness
- 38:50Speaker 1: and and loneliness.
- 38:52Speaker 2: I feel holiness.
- 38:55Speaker 3: I actually like it. It's like when manifesting goes wrong.
- 38:58Speaker 3: Like I actually ended up with the guy that played hockey,
- 39:00Speaker 3: and it was awful because he was always gone. I
- 39:03Speaker 3: had no friends I had, I couldn't work, I couldn't
- 39:06Speaker 3: do anything. I was like stuck in a city that
- 39:08Speaker 3: I couldn't even speak the language. And I was like,
- 39:10Speaker 3: why do people want to do this right?
- 39:12Speaker 2: Because it looks so glamorous from the outside.
- 39:15Speaker 3: It does some people are built that did he have teeth? Yes,
- 39:19Speaker 3: but he had a really like beat up nose. But
- 39:22Speaker 3: I'm like, if you have a beat up nose and
- 39:24Speaker 3: I'm like missing tooth from a puck, I'm all the
- 39:26Speaker 3: way turned on.
- 39:28Speaker 2: Wow, I'm right, I know the missing tooth.
- 39:31Speaker 1: I get like the beat up like rugged face, like oh,
- 39:35Speaker 1: he's like gotten into it.
- 39:37Speaker 2: But the no teeth I just can't get behind.
- 39:40Speaker 3: Like the tooth is missing from like poor dental hygiene,
- 39:44Speaker 3: Like it has to be like a puck hit you
- 39:45Speaker 3: in the face.
- 39:46Speaker 1: Fucking like, I just can't imagine if he's like, I'm
- 39:49Speaker 1: gonna go down on you now and you're like takes
- 39:52Speaker 1: his teeth out tooth.
- 39:54Speaker 3: Yeah, put it in first though.
- 39:59Speaker 1: The moment when you I first said that you were
- 40:01Speaker 1: with a hockey player, and that was the first thing
- 40:02Speaker 1: that came into my mind.
- 40:03Speaker 2: I was like, I really wonder if he had his
- 40:05Speaker 2: full grill.
- 40:06Speaker 3: He did, actually, I'm which is crazy because a lot
- 40:09Speaker 3: of them don't. But yeah, you could tell his nose
- 40:11Speaker 3: has been through.
- 40:12Speaker 1: It, been through it. When did you move to the
- 40:14Speaker 1: States from Canada?
- 40:16Speaker 2: Uh?
- 40:17Speaker 3: When I got engaged on the show, So I was thirty.
- 40:20Speaker 2: Oh so you were still living in Canada when you
- 40:22Speaker 2: were filming.
- 40:23Speaker 1: Yeah, you know all of the hottest bitches come from
- 40:25Speaker 1: Canada and Brazil.
- 40:26Speaker 3: And Brazil absolutely there is What was I watching? I
- 40:29Speaker 3: was watching The Perfect Match? Have you watched that?
- 40:32Speaker 4: No?
- 40:33Speaker 2: Is that on Netflix?
- 40:34Speaker 3: Yes? And I've never watched it before. And I'm actually
- 40:37Speaker 3: not a really big reality TV like I love Big
- 40:40Speaker 3: Brother and that's like my guilty pleasure, but I competition shows.
- 40:44Speaker 3: I love competitions, okay, and Perfect Match. My girlfriend was like,
- 40:48Speaker 3: you should watch it. It's actually really good this season.
- 40:50Speaker 3: So I put it on and I cannot stop staring
- 40:53Speaker 3: at I'm blanking on her name not Sandy. Shoot, she
- 40:59Speaker 3: is like half Indian, half Italian, and I'm like, how
- 41:05Speaker 3: was she? Like who created her? Because she is perfect
- 41:07Speaker 3: and she's so sweet and cute, but yeah, look her up.
- 41:12Speaker 3: Canadian girls are so I don't know how I do it,
- 41:15Speaker 3: but I always find myself gravitating to a Canadian in
- 41:18Speaker 3: the States where I don't even know she's Canadian, and
- 41:20Speaker 3: then I'm like, we're fast friends. And then I'm like, duh,
- 41:23Speaker 3: you're Canadian.
- 41:24Speaker 2: What's different about Canadian girls?
- 41:28Speaker 3: I find that Canadians are more like give give less
- 41:35Speaker 3: fucks maybe, and like have a really good sense of humor. Okay,
- 41:41Speaker 3: like you could tell they like. My favorite is a
- 41:44Speaker 3: prairie girl, which is someone from Alberta because you just
- 41:47Speaker 3: like grew up on the Prairies and I feel like
- 41:49Speaker 3: you didn't have a lot to do, but just like
- 41:52Speaker 3: use your imagination as a child and everyone has like
- 41:54Speaker 3: just great personalities from.
- 41:55Speaker 2: There, okay, And what part of Canada are you from?
- 41:58Speaker 3: Alberta?
- 42:01Speaker 2: I love it.
- 42:03Speaker 1: That makes me so happy that you just like tuned
- 42:06Speaker 1: that damn horn.
- 42:06Speaker 3: Girl, I tuoted the ship on that horn.
- 42:09Speaker 2: I'm obsessed.
- 42:10Speaker 1: Have you seen the show Unreal that was on. I
- 42:12Speaker 1: believe it was either Showtime or HBO Max.
- 42:15Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 42:16Speaker 2: Did you find that?
- 42:16Speaker 1: That was pretty spot on? When it came to the
- 42:20Speaker 1: Bachelor Bachelorette.
- 42:22Speaker 3: Not spot on, But I will say that the person
- 42:25Speaker 3: who created that show was an executive producer from A
- 42:28Speaker 3: Bachelor And I do think the show used to be
- 42:31Speaker 3: that dark and like like that to me is like
- 42:35Speaker 3: the most dark and twisted and toxic environment, and I
- 42:38Speaker 3: do think it used to be like that. I don't
- 42:40Speaker 3: think it's like that anymore, but there are some like
- 42:42Speaker 3: parallels where I'm like, Okay, it gets watching it. While
- 42:47Speaker 3: I was like, I was not in a good, good
- 42:49Speaker 3: place when I came off the show, and I remember
- 42:52Speaker 3: laying on my girlfriend's couch watching it and just like
- 42:55Speaker 3: I didn't I was not eating. I was so just
- 42:59Speaker 3: like depressed, and I remember watching it just being like,
- 43:02Speaker 3: why am I partaking in my own like abuse right now?
- 43:05Speaker 3: Watching this like I was just like mentally beating myself up.
- 43:07Speaker 3: It was awful. But again, I do think it used
- 43:10Speaker 3: to be much darker.
- 43:11Speaker 1: Okay, I really wanted to ask you that because that
- 43:14Speaker 1: was one of my most I loved watching and I
- 43:16Speaker 1: don't love scripted TV, but I loved Unreal.
- 43:20Speaker 3: That was well done.
- 43:21Speaker 2: It was very well done.
- 43:22Speaker 1: I'm very picky when it comes to my scripted TV shows,
- 43:25Speaker 1: so I wanted to ask you that. All right, I'm
- 43:27Speaker 1: going to I'm going to do a lightning round of questions.
- 43:31Speaker 1: I did this with Tom Schwartz and he was not
- 43:33Speaker 1: lightning speed in any way, shape or form. All So
- 43:39Speaker 1: me saying that you don't have to like know exactly
- 43:42Speaker 1: what you're gonna say. All right, my favorite reality show
- 43:45Speaker 1: to binge right now, Big Brother, Big Brother.
- 43:48Speaker 2: They're on season like four hundred, right.
- 43:50Speaker 3: I know, and I've watched it since I was like fifteen.
- 43:53Speaker 2: Wow, who's who's on this season?
- 43:56Speaker 3: They're Randoms?
- 43:57Speaker 1: Oh there is Oh so there's big Breather. There is
- 44:00Speaker 1: like Randoms. But then they're celebrity big Brother, right, yes, okay,
- 44:05Speaker 1: I'm gonna have to check that out because I actually
- 44:07Speaker 1: love Traders and I didn't think I would.
- 44:09Speaker 3: Oh yes, same. I was actually the same way. I
- 44:10Speaker 3: didn't think I would like it, and I loved it.
- 44:12Speaker 1: Yeah, it was so good dream celebrity to share a
- 44:14Speaker 1: bottle of Spade and Sparrow with.
- 44:16Speaker 3: Like unrealistic dream or realistic dream, Let's do both. Okay.
- 44:20Speaker 3: Unrealistic would be Britney Spears. Okay, realistic, I don't know.
- 44:25Speaker 3: Realistic somebody that's like a self made billionaire.
- 44:29Speaker 2: Ooh, I love that.
- 44:31Speaker 3: Maybe like a.
- 44:33Speaker 4: Woman you said, yeah, like maybe like a not not
- 44:37Speaker 4: a Kylie Jenner, but someone because I'm like, I feel
- 44:41Speaker 4: like they had the money and then she got to
- 44:43Speaker 4: be like someone that actually started from nothing.
- 44:46Speaker 3: But I don't think it is as a celebrity.
- 44:49Speaker 2: Well, can I tell you who I think you would
- 44:50Speaker 2: get along with?
- 44:51Speaker 3: Who?
- 44:52Speaker 1: And I know her? I'm friends with her sister. We
- 44:55Speaker 1: grew up in Utah together. Her name's Whitney wolf Heard
- 44:58Speaker 1: and she was a part of Tinder and then left
- 45:03Speaker 1: and started Bumble and.
- 45:06Speaker 2: She is a fucking bad ass. And I feel like.
- 45:11Speaker 1: You guys would totally just hit it off and have
- 45:13Speaker 1: epic conversations while sipping Spade and Sparrow.
- 45:17Speaker 3: That's who.
- 45:17Speaker 1: That would be my realistic one for you. Okay, I
- 45:22Speaker 1: wonder who I would want to share one with.
- 45:23Speaker 3: Well, I was just speaking that. I was like, can
- 45:25Speaker 3: I ask.
- 45:25Speaker 2: Her, of course you can. I always am drinking in
- 45:29Speaker 2: my mind.
- 45:32Speaker 3: Same.
- 45:33Speaker 1: I would love to catch a buzz on Spade and
- 45:35Speaker 1: Sparrow with maybe like fifty cent. I think we would
- 45:39Speaker 1: have such a fun time. Plus I love the fact
- 45:43Speaker 1: that he trolls everybody twenty four to seven and like
- 45:47Speaker 1: pays zero attention to the comments you. By the time
- 45:50Speaker 1: the comments come in, He's already trolled seventeen more people.
- 45:53Speaker 2: And I'm obsesed.
- 45:54Speaker 3: Yes, he is having the moment and I'm here for it.
- 45:56Speaker 2: I'm here for it too.
- 45:58Speaker 1: And then maybe just like an normy not normy, I
- 46:02Speaker 1: would join you and Whitney wolf Heurd.
- 46:04Speaker 3: Okay, oh yeah, you're invited because.
- 46:06Speaker 2: I would want to like pick her brain a lot.
- 46:08Speaker 3: Totally all right, Sorry.
- 46:10Speaker 1: To make it about me, No, I wanted to ask
- 46:13Speaker 1: the one rom com you watch on repeat?
- 46:16Speaker 3: I hate rom coms?
- 46:18Speaker 2: Really?
- 46:19Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 46:20Speaker 1: Can I tell you a really really cute one? Have
- 46:22Speaker 1: you seen in Her Shoes with Cameron Diaz? No, okay,
- 46:28Speaker 1: just try it out. It's with another actress who I
- 46:30Speaker 1: cannot remember her name.
- 46:32Speaker 2: But it's actually really fucking cute. Because you think.
- 46:35Speaker 1: It's like a rom com, but it's actually just like
- 46:38Speaker 1: a really cute. Uh, like chicks being sisters and like
- 46:44Speaker 1: that's the love story in it.
- 46:46Speaker 3: I love Cameron Dio, so I'll check that out. Okay,
- 46:48Speaker 3: I'll say this one's so old, but I love and
- 46:50Speaker 3: I watch it every Christmas. Is Serendipity with Kate Beckinsale.
- 46:54Speaker 2: Never seen it.
- 46:56Speaker 3: Oh it's so good.
- 46:58Speaker 1: Okay, I love that and I'm going to watch it. Okay,
- 47:00Speaker 1: that's on my to do list. And then please watch
- 47:02Speaker 1: in her shoes and let me know what you think.
- 47:05Speaker 1: The next one is first thing you do if you
- 47:07Speaker 1: could be anonymous for twenty four hours?
- 47:10Speaker 3: Oh something illegal?
- 47:14Speaker 2: Something illegal? Fuck yeah, like.
- 47:17Speaker 3: Get drunk and being in public or something crazy and
- 47:19Speaker 3: just like have so much fun and just like get crazy.
- 47:21Speaker 3: I don't know, anonymous for twenty four hours.
- 47:25Speaker 2: I'd get wasted on an airplane?
- 47:28Speaker 3: Oh yeah, so FN Yeah that's as long as it's
- 47:32Speaker 3: not like a really long flight because I hate getting
- 47:34Speaker 3: drunk on a plane and then you like wake up
- 47:35Speaker 3: hungover and you're still on the plane.
- 47:37Speaker 1: Yeah, or you get off and you realize that what
- 47:40Speaker 1: is that saying one in the bush is worth two
- 47:43Speaker 1: in the sky.
- 47:44Speaker 3: Yes, very true, it is true.
- 47:47Speaker 1: Which app would you delete? Forever if you had to
- 47:50Speaker 1: Instagram or TikTok.
- 47:52Speaker 3: Oh, God, probably TikTok. Probably TikTok. I still like am
- 47:59Speaker 3: kind of on the Instagra and TikTok. Will find myself
- 48:02Speaker 3: like going way too deep in holes of like why
- 48:05Speaker 3: am I still here? Like my algorithm is pretty good.
- 48:09Speaker 3: Like it actually makes me belly laugh. I'm not like
- 48:11Speaker 3: scrolling being like, eh, I'm scrolling laughing my ass off.
- 48:15Speaker 3: So that's a good thing, I guess because I'm like cheerful.
- 48:18Speaker 3: But I scroll too hard on that.
- 48:21Speaker 2: On TikTok or Instagram.
- 48:23Speaker 3: TikTok.
- 48:24Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm not a scroller on the TikTok.
- 48:27Speaker 3: It makes me feel like I'm not creative and I'm
- 48:29Speaker 3: not funny, and I'm not like because people are so
- 48:32Speaker 3: good on that app. I like, it's actually impressive.
- 48:36Speaker 2: It's very impressive.
- 48:37Speaker 1: It's for sure and art, which is harder wearing stilettos
- 48:40Speaker 1: for a red carpet or keeping a secret on reality TV.
- 48:44Speaker 3: Oh, keeping a secret. I could wear heels all day long.
- 48:48Speaker 3: I don't know what. I think. It's from being a
- 48:50Speaker 3: ballerina my whole life. My feet are just like numb
- 48:53Speaker 3: and calloused everywhere, and I find heels to be fine.
- 48:56Speaker 3: It would be hard for me to keep a secret
- 48:58Speaker 3: because I like, I like bondie with people, and I
- 49:00Speaker 3: feel like sometimes secrets bond you.
- 49:03Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 49:03Speaker 1: You you said it perfectly. That is so fucking true.
- 49:06Speaker 1: I am now at this place where I'm like, if
- 49:08Speaker 1: you don't want any like it is such a secret
- 49:11Speaker 1: that you don't want anybody to know.
- 49:13Speaker 2: Ever, please don't tell me. Do me a favor. Don't
- 49:17Speaker 2: fucking tell me. I'm begging you. All right, last question,
- 49:21Speaker 2: the last thing you impulse bought online?
- 49:27Speaker 3: Gosh, I'm I am such a consumer. I buy online
- 49:30Speaker 3: all the time.
- 49:32Speaker 2: It's like a real addiction for me.
- 49:33Speaker 3: I replace, Oh, really, shopping is your Yeah, what did
- 49:41Speaker 3: you just buy? I think I bought. There's so there's
- 49:45Speaker 3: like a leg in the video right now, and I
- 49:47Speaker 3: feel like it's my leg.
- 49:50Speaker 2: No, Like, what are you talking about?
- 49:53Speaker 3: No? I mean like like a delay.
- 49:57Speaker 5: Oh, a lag, like.
- 50:06Speaker 3: When you I can see your mouth moving, but then
- 50:09Speaker 3: it takes a long time for your voice to come through.
- 50:12Speaker 2: Fun, all right, you don't have to answer.
