- 1:55Speaker 2: ZR two is the official truck a Busting with the Boys.
- 1:57Speaker 2: You ever get sick of it of.
- 1:59Speaker 1: The ZR two? Yeah, No, I was, Actually I was
- 2:01Speaker 1: since I was on the hunting trip. In texts over
- 2:03Speaker 1: the weekend, all the boys were asking me about the
- 2:04Speaker 1: ZR two. Were they really because they were like, hey,
- 2:06Speaker 1: will do you still have that? Not going to say
- 2:08Speaker 1: the truck that I used to have, They will you
- 2:09Speaker 1: still have that truck? I was like no, I was
- 2:11Speaker 1: like ever since the boys got in with Chevy, I
- 2:13Speaker 1: was like, I came out, I came out of park
- 2:15Speaker 1: and got that ZR two and they met a pocket.
- 2:17Speaker 1: But they were asking about the ZR two. They're like,
- 2:19Speaker 1: is it coming to the Z seventy one. I guess
- 2:21Speaker 1: the Chevy trucks used to be like Z seventy one.
- 2:23Speaker 1: That package kind of like that sporty off road package.
- 2:26Speaker 1: But I was giving him some game.
- 2:28Speaker 2: Hey, you put them on?
- 2:29Speaker 5: Yeah, I put them on game.
- 2:30Speaker 1: Yes, what's what's my boy Trent up to? Dude, just
- 2:34Speaker 1: being a man of the world, of the country. Yeah,
- 2:36Speaker 1: you ask him where you're a patriot? Yeah, you ask
- 2:38Speaker 1: him where he's from, And honestly, he could legitimately just
- 2:41Speaker 1: say America because he's he travels essentially all year round,
- 2:44Speaker 1: just all over the country to go hunting.
- 2:46Speaker 2: With just his dog.
- 2:47Speaker 5: Right, yes, two dogs.
- 2:48Speaker 1: What's the one dog that we were talking about, the
- 2:52Speaker 1: breed that's like the most They listened the most.
- 2:54Speaker 2: They oh, Malamo.
- 2:56Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, he has one of.
- 2:57Speaker 1: One of them and he I mean it's a stud,
- 2:59Speaker 1: but yeah, that does like everything he wants to do,
- 3:02Speaker 1: climbs of houses, jumps on cars, jumps up in his arms,
- 3:05Speaker 1: right loving, But he's got a little like trailer bed
- 3:07Speaker 1: that he'll just drive around with the boys.
- 3:10Speaker 2: Trent and high school.
- 3:11Speaker 6: Man.
- 3:11Speaker 2: I never expected. I didn't know Trent very well, but
- 3:13Speaker 2: you knew of Trent obviously, and uh, he's doing what
- 3:17Speaker 2: I feel like every man growing up wants to do
- 3:20Speaker 2: at some point. And they're like, no, he is. There's
- 3:22Speaker 2: a point where you're like, man, what if I just
- 3:23Speaker 2: get a truck and a couple of dogs and just
- 3:25Speaker 2: live on the earth.
- 3:26Speaker 1: Yeah, and that does he own a home? Yeah, he
- 3:29Speaker 1: owns a home there. It's out in Michigan. But yeah,
- 3:31Speaker 1: he's he's all over the place. He's legitimately. He was
- 3:34Speaker 1: talking about this hunting trip they did with his brother
- 3:36Speaker 1: or where they're just out in Utah and they're just camping,
- 3:38Speaker 1: they're making their own fires, they're figuring out their own food,
- 3:41Speaker 1: like doing all the stuff that men.
- 3:44Speaker 2: You know, think about this, I'm not actually hard enough
- 3:47Speaker 2: to do right. Right. It's one of those thoughts when
- 3:49Speaker 2: you're watching it on a Discovery or something like that
- 3:51Speaker 2: and you're like, I'm gonna do that, and then you
- 3:52Speaker 2: wake up the next day you like, it's a little cold.
- 3:53Speaker 5: I think you just yeah, you think in your mind,
- 3:55Speaker 5: like when it's going on.
- 3:56Speaker 1: There's this part of you that's like, I kind of
- 3:58Speaker 1: wish my bag was up like that, Like I know
- 4:00Speaker 1: I'd be able to do nobody else would.
- 4:02Speaker 2: And you're kind of yeah, oh yeah, dude, that it
- 4:04Speaker 2: feels kind of nice. No one's taking me down.
- 4:06Speaker 5: We uh, did you say before the Chevy had the
- 4:09Speaker 5: Ryan Blaney?
- 4:09Speaker 2: Yeah, we had Ryan Blaney on.
- 4:11Speaker 1: If you're here for Ryan Blaney, this is the best
- 4:13Speaker 1: thing to do because Mitch does a great job putting
- 4:14Speaker 1: together the YouTube, the chapters and everything like that.
- 4:17Speaker 5: Or if you're on audio, you're on video. If you're
- 4:19Speaker 5: on YouTube, number one, subscribe to the Boys.
- 4:21Speaker 1: If you're new here and you haven't subscribed, considered subscribing
- 4:23Speaker 1: to the boys helping us out. But if you're here
- 4:26Speaker 1: for Ryan Blaney and NASCAR talk and all that and
- 4:28Speaker 1: all that cool stuff, figure out in the description where
- 4:32Speaker 1: the time at Stamp is at and you can just
- 4:34Speaker 1: fast forward there. I know everybody goes through a phase
- 4:37Speaker 1: of man, how long are the intro is going to be?
- 4:39Speaker 1: This is how a Bust with the Boys does the introes.
- 4:41Speaker 1: We talk a lot about whatever. Basically, it's not really
- 4:44Speaker 1: an intro, it's just a full episode and then the
- 4:46Speaker 1: interviews at the back right. But just searching the description,
- 4:49Speaker 1: find a timestamp, click on it, that's where that interview
- 4:52Speaker 1: will be. Or if you're listening to audio, looking the
- 4:54Speaker 1: description as well, it'll kind of tell you and you
- 4:56Speaker 1: can fast forward in case you don't want to.
- 4:58Speaker 5: But we talk, I mean, this is this is it.
- 5:01Speaker 2: You're you're hearing it right now. And let me just
- 5:03Speaker 2: tell you too. You can do what Will just said,
- 5:05Speaker 2: jump forward. But we have a lot of fun on
- 5:06Speaker 2: this bus. And if you are joining for the first time,
- 5:08Speaker 2: there's a lot of banter, a lot of good times.
- 5:11Speaker 2: If you're missing your boys from back home, maybe you're traveling,
- 5:13Speaker 2: you want a little piece of that. That's what right
- 5:15Speaker 2: here for. And I don't know if you guys heard
- 5:16Speaker 2: the news We're tucked in podcast on Spotify, that's right?
- 5:22Speaker 2: Was that not surprising?
- 5:25Speaker 7: Sports podcast?
- 5:26Speaker 4: Well?
- 5:26Speaker 2: Hold on to America Sports.
- 5:29Speaker 1: Well he's just saying if it's a football like, we're
- 5:32Speaker 1: talking all sports.
- 5:33Speaker 2: Yeah, we're sports, baby, we do it all. Ryan Blaney
- 5:36Speaker 2: is a perfect example, dude, NASCAR Cup Series champion had
- 5:39Speaker 2: him on there. How much do you know about NASCAR? Will,
- 5:42Speaker 2: I don't know a whole lot, but I learned a lot.
- 5:44Speaker 2: And we've seen Talladega Nights multiple times, so you can
- 5:46Speaker 2: tell that was a hard hitting interview.
- 5:48Speaker 5: Yeah, I asked alread hitting questions. Is shaking bake real?
- 5:51Speaker 2: I'm gonna give you a little uh, a little spoiler.
- 5:54Speaker 2: Will asks if the shaking bake is a real thing. Handshake,
- 5:59Speaker 2: if he's got handshakes with NASCAR drivers. That's part of
- 6:01Speaker 2: the big.
- 6:02Speaker 1: I meant when I asked the shake and big, it
- 6:04Speaker 1: was more of the sling shot. I yeah, it was
- 6:07Speaker 1: more of like the operation within shaking big, not just
- 6:09Speaker 1: a handshake.
- 6:10Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 6:10Speaker 2: We developed into that, but it started with Yeah.
- 6:12Speaker 1: Once somebody said sling shot, I was like, oh, yeah,
- 6:14Speaker 1: that's what I That's what I meant by the shaking.
- 6:16Speaker 2: Yeah somebody the other person on the podcast me, yeah, yeah,
- 6:20Speaker 2: how was But you were top ten sports podcast? Yes,
- 6:23Speaker 2: and that's big. Yeah.
- 6:25Speaker 1: I mean thanks to you guys, everybody listening, especially on
- 6:30Speaker 1: you know, Spotify, everybody who was doing Spotify around you.
- 6:32Speaker 2: Trying to get love.
- 6:33Speaker 1: Thanks to all the boys in the back. Man, you
- 6:35Speaker 1: guys are the best.
- 6:36Speaker 2: Just pulling up on multiple computers, our show running through
- 6:40Speaker 2: all the time. No, but you guys listening all day
- 6:42Speaker 2: every day. It's awesome. It's crazy that people was surprised.
- 6:45Speaker 2: Blows me away.
- 6:49Speaker 1: It's like an expectation you always want to have, like
- 6:51Speaker 1: being a top ten, but actually seeing all year long
- 6:54Speaker 1: we're a top ten sports podcast because sometimes I check,
- 6:56Speaker 1: like you know, I'll check like a couple of times
- 6:59Speaker 1: during the month, just like where an episode might have landed,
- 7:01Speaker 1: just to see if I can get a beat on
- 7:02Speaker 1: how the rankings kind of work in Spotify. I know
- 7:05Speaker 1: we're always top fifty on both Apple and Spotify.
- 7:08Speaker 5: Sometimes we've been fortunate enough to.
- 7:10Speaker 1: Be like top five, top ten, but I never know
- 7:13Speaker 1: how like the algorithm works. So when we saw the
- 7:15Speaker 1: twenty twenty three top ten sports podcasts in the US
- 7:18Speaker 1: on Spotify and we're sitting there at ten, no, I
- 7:22Speaker 1: mean I was fired up.
- 7:23Speaker 2: It fires you up because you just know ten is
- 7:26Speaker 2: the best place for us to be, right Like if
- 7:28Speaker 2: we're one, always.
- 7:29Speaker 1: Snuck in there. Yeah, if you're at one, they're all
- 7:31Speaker 1: coming for you new heights. Like you have the asterisks
- 7:33Speaker 1: of Taylor Swift. They are either way, they're always the top.
- 7:36Speaker 1: They are top. They are top podcasts at all times,
- 7:39Speaker 1: even pre Taylor Swift. They were massively up there murdering it.
- 7:42Speaker 1: But now now it's like the asterisk is it's not
- 7:45Speaker 1: even close. Top number one podcast. Part of my take,
- 7:48Speaker 1: they've been number they've been top two, shuffling around from
- 7:51Speaker 1: one to two, like for years. Bill Simmons has always
- 7:53Speaker 1: been up there. I'm not really familiar with the Fantasy
- 7:56Speaker 1: Footballer's no disrespect to the Boys, Pat McFee Show, JJ Reddick,
- 7:59Speaker 1: Ryan Russillo, Paul George the Ringer. I mean, that's that's
- 8:03Speaker 1: insane company to be in. Yeah, that's just that's just cool. Yeah,
- 8:08Speaker 1: got everybody for listening. Man, all the Spotify rap by
- 8:11Speaker 1: and by the way, why I know we're gonna get
- 8:13Speaker 1: into the good, bad and ugly.
- 8:14Speaker 5: The good is the way Spotify.
- 8:16Speaker 1: Every year they just seem to get better at the
- 8:19Speaker 1: Spotify raps and everyone gets excited about going through their
- 8:22Speaker 1: Spotify rap. I know, last week in the shop, we're
- 8:24Speaker 1: all going around with our Spotify raft. You we're getting
- 8:27Speaker 1: the old man over here is getting made fun of
- 8:29Speaker 1: by whatever my character was at the end of Spotify
- 8:32Speaker 1: rap character syclops or something like basically.
- 8:35Speaker 2: I wear whatever I'm listening to.
- 8:36Speaker 1: I wear it out music wise, Yeah, I'm pretty much
- 8:39Speaker 1: so a one stop like if I hit the like
- 8:42Speaker 1: like when Mitch went off in the brask with the
- 8:44Speaker 1: uh is the Cyclops Oh Okay by Gunna and I
- 8:49Speaker 1: was like, Okay, this is a nice little jam right here.
- 8:51Speaker 1: I probably listen to that jam for like one hundred
- 8:53Speaker 1: times in the next few days. So I'm like one
- 8:55Speaker 1: of those guys. I wear it out until I just
- 8:57Speaker 1: absolutely hate it.
- 8:58Speaker 2: Yeah, that is I think that's the only way to
- 8:59Speaker 2: list and the music. Once you find a song you
- 9:01Speaker 2: like it, just listen to it until you can't stand
- 9:03Speaker 2: the thought of hearing it again. Yeah. Yeah, that's that's
- 9:05Speaker 2: the way it goes.
- 9:06Speaker 1: Rue's music made it in there Odesza a higher Ground.
- 9:10Speaker 1: We went to Bonner last year's shout out the Boys,
- 9:12Speaker 1: Shack and Garrett uh for putting me on Odeza. I
- 9:15Speaker 1: said that right, yeah, yeah, okay, nice Uh. Rue absolutely
- 9:19Speaker 1: loves that song. But that was kind of the number one.
- 9:21Speaker 1: But shout out Spotify for their the whole rap thing.
- 9:23Speaker 1: I feel like it gets better every year and everybody
- 9:25Speaker 1: anticipates it. So maybe that's kicked off the good, bad,
- 9:27Speaker 1: the ugly. Maybe it has do you want to rattle
- 9:30Speaker 1: off your list, Yeah, I'll do my do we want
- 9:35Speaker 1: to say our list? And then kind of like the
- 9:37Speaker 1: ones that we were both on. Then we talked more
- 9:40Speaker 1: about those, you know what I mean?
- 9:41Speaker 2: Yeah, so you can go out, you and go first?
- 9:43Speaker 5: Sure?
- 9:44Speaker 4: Uh?
- 9:45Speaker 1: On the good that I have rou watching her first
- 9:47Speaker 1: Christmas movie, it was a shout out if we had
- 9:49Speaker 1: shoutouts on here, like that's my shout out. It was
- 9:52Speaker 1: Mickey Safe's Christmas. Nice little twenty twenty minute piece. So
- 9:56Speaker 1: it's a show, Yeah, well it's it's apparently. I think
- 10:00Speaker 1: it's a movie, a short movie.
- 10:01Speaker 5: Yes, yeah.
- 10:02Speaker 2: Is it have a beginning to end? Yeah, that's a show? Brother,
- 10:06Speaker 2: beginning to end? Is a move? What are we beginning
- 10:08Speaker 2: to end? Twenty minutes long? That's a show? A show?
- 10:10Speaker 5: Is they leave you a cliffhanger on the end?
- 10:13Speaker 2: Not on kids shows? Is it? Is it a movie?
- 10:16Speaker 2: Make you saves Christmas movie? Okay? In your show description
- 10:20Speaker 2: was yeah, I got it jumped around a little bit
- 10:22Speaker 2: in my head. An you guys heard not the good stuff.
- 10:25Speaker 5: Packers.
- 10:26Speaker 1: I think packers are on a little run. I got
- 10:28Speaker 1: a little something later on about the packers. The playoff committee.
- 10:33Speaker 1: I thought the playoff committee got it right. Contrary to
- 10:36Speaker 1: everybody being very upset about Florida State, I think that
- 10:39Speaker 1: Florida State fans and everybody has a we can get
- 10:42Speaker 1: into that because I'm sure that'll be a big topic
- 10:43Speaker 1: of conversation. Forty nine ers just taking the Eagles out
- 10:47Speaker 1: to the woodshed and beating their ass. H Dallas Cowboys.
- 10:49Speaker 1: I thought that they had a great win against Seattle.
- 10:51Speaker 1: They're always used to be in the front runners, not
- 10:54Speaker 1: being used to get hitting the mouth.
- 10:55Speaker 5: They got hit in the mouth of the Seahawks. They
- 10:57Speaker 5: won a close game.
- 10:57Speaker 1: Finally, Mike Evans ten executive one thousand yard seasons. So
- 11:02Speaker 1: I feel like that that's like a knock on wood.
- 11:05Speaker 1: It's like a knock on wood if you're with us
- 11:07Speaker 1: type thing.
- 11:08Speaker 5: But yeah, that was my good list.
- 11:09Speaker 2: Yeah, I liked. I liked all those my good The
- 11:12Speaker 2: gunner number four for Iowa. Yeah, did you see that return?
- 11:17Speaker 2: Him hawking him down, slides and then runs back, pushes
- 11:20Speaker 2: one of his players out the way I was going
- 11:22Speaker 2: to slow to stop a touchdown. I thought that was
- 11:24Speaker 2: that was cool.
- 11:25Speaker 1: That's textbook textbooks, special teams coordinators, and there's not only
- 11:29Speaker 1: their clips to show all the new rookies who come in.
- 11:32Speaker 1: But it is also, as I tweeted, in their spank bank,
- 11:34Speaker 1: like that is yeah, football porn for a special.
- 11:36Speaker 2: Team that'll be that'll be shown by not only the
- 11:39Speaker 2: Iowa Hawkeyes for generations, but it'll be shown in a
- 11:42Speaker 2: special teams meeting probably with every Power five team from
- 11:44Speaker 2: here on out.
- 11:45Speaker 5: Yeah, and their wives, Like you're gonna go hold check
- 11:47Speaker 5: this out?
- 11:48Speaker 2: Yeah, you want to come play at this school? We
- 11:49Speaker 2: won't play in South Carolina. This is what we need
- 11:50Speaker 2: to see out of you. Yeah, what are you gonna say?
- 11:53Speaker 8: Will it also be shown on What Not to Do?
- 11:56Speaker 2: Oh?
- 11:56Speaker 8: See it over ran the guy that was kind of
- 11:59Speaker 8: his fault for the beginning.
- 12:01Speaker 2: Hey, Mitch, can you bring it? Can you bring it up?
- 12:03Speaker 5: Jack?
- 12:04Speaker 1: Yeah, you're right, you have a point there. But if
- 12:06Speaker 1: you mess up on to finish a play.
- 12:08Speaker 2: They finish my good and then we'll get it. We'll
- 12:09Speaker 2: get into you keep off Michigan being three times Big
- 12:12Speaker 2: ten champs, that's just the standard. Now. Titans losing in overtime,
- 12:16Speaker 2: that's that's the that's a win win for the Titans.
- 12:18Speaker 2: You show that you can put points on the board
- 12:20Speaker 2: and you lose, helping your draft stock. That's a win
- 12:22Speaker 2: win forty nine ers are the king of the NFL. Dolphins.
- 12:26Speaker 2: I think they're legit. I know they haven't really played,
- 12:28Speaker 2: they don't play anybody till Christmas, but I think they're legit.
- 12:31Speaker 5: I like Dolphins.
- 12:32Speaker 2: Yeah, I like the Dolphins. And then it was just
- 12:34Speaker 2: cool to see Joe Flacco and in a Browns jersey.
- 12:38Speaker 2: That was just cool to me. I love that. Let's
- 12:40Speaker 2: see this thing? What is this? It woind be a
- 12:46Speaker 2: highlight IOWA game without.
- 12:48Speaker 5: A Okay, now go back? Yeah, what are you?
- 12:52Speaker 2: How you coaching that up?
- 12:56Speaker 1: So it seems like the way that their gunners operate, Yeah,
- 13:00Speaker 1: that's tough return. It did a great job kind of
- 13:02Speaker 1: setting up that outside and getting vertical. But it's like
- 13:05Speaker 1: that drill you work on where you're you're you know,
- 13:07Speaker 1: you're using your you're using your mate. If you want
- 13:10Speaker 1: to miss a tackle in number four situation, you want
- 13:13Speaker 1: to miss it on your left shoulder. There are special
- 13:15Speaker 1: teams of coordinators. The way they game plan is shoot
- 13:18Speaker 1: across the bow. So four would be going across the
- 13:20Speaker 1: bow and if you missed, you're making him hesitate and
- 13:24Speaker 1: step back because I mean going full board down on
- 13:27Speaker 1: a returner and you feel like you're one on one.
- 13:29Speaker 5: Is that is like, that's just the hardest tackle.
- 13:31Speaker 1: The expectation is obviously make the tackle and get him
- 13:33Speaker 1: on the ground, but you try to equip and give
- 13:36Speaker 1: the tools that hey if you don't, like, don't think
- 13:38Speaker 1: your job's gone if you miss the tackle. So it
- 13:40Speaker 1: seems like they're trying to keep the cups, So keep
- 13:43Speaker 1: your leverage. If you miss, you want to miss on
- 13:45Speaker 1: the left shoulder. That returner did an incredible job of
- 13:48Speaker 1: fucking putting both those guys in there, just getting.
- 13:50Speaker 2: Verticals, slipping number four and then jump cutting out of
- 13:53Speaker 2: the way and getting loose kids a freshman kids, a freshman,
- 13:56Speaker 2: a lot of opportunity there in the future for him,
- 13:58Speaker 2: that young stallion. So yeah, that was my good man.
- 14:02Speaker 2: I felt what a slow way of winning the Big
- 14:06Speaker 2: Ten Championship.
- 14:07Speaker 1: I know, and that's kind of word is that is
- 14:09Speaker 1: the good I kind of just lost sight that you
- 14:11Speaker 1: guys did go through back to back to back like
- 14:13Speaker 1: that is that's a that's a big Yeah, that's a
- 14:15Speaker 1: big feat.
- 14:16Speaker 5: But as far as the big.
- 14:17Speaker 2: Thing coach to ever do that since the Big Ten Championship.
- 14:20Speaker 1: So John Harball throw them the good Jim, but yeah, Jim,
- 14:24Speaker 1: Jim harm Yeah, sorry Jim.
- 14:25Speaker 2: I think John's a great coach too, though. Yeah, they're
- 14:27Speaker 2: doing some really good things out there. No one's got
- 14:29Speaker 2: better than both of them. Yeah, I'll say that. No, Yeah,
- 14:32Speaker 2: I think that was cool. I was sick, dude, I
- 14:34Speaker 2: gotta stop betting on teams that I like, I really
- 14:36Speaker 2: got to stop doing it. And it's like a conclusion.
- 14:39Speaker 2: I'm going to bet on Michigan again when they play Alabama,
- 14:42Speaker 2: but like, at this moment, literally we're winning ten zero
- 14:45Speaker 2: and I'm thinking all I can think about is my
- 14:47Speaker 2: bet and how I have Michigan minus twenty one and
- 14:49Speaker 2: a half and the over which is thirty five. And
- 14:52Speaker 2: I thought, you know, you look at the records, the
- 14:54Speaker 2: way they lost a they beat Penn State or Iowa
- 14:56Speaker 2: lost to Penn State, and the way Iowa lost him
- 14:59Speaker 2: in a in the way Michigan played penns State in Minnesota,
- 15:02Speaker 2: It's like, oh, this is an easy dub when it
- 15:05Speaker 2: was technically an easy dub, but it didn't cover the
- 15:07Speaker 2: total points which I expected Michigan to do. Telling you
- 15:10Speaker 2: I was sick, I was, I was really you guys
- 15:12Speaker 2: saw how much I bet on that game, just so emotional,
- 15:16Speaker 2: so emotional, and I'm I'm not gonna do it again,
- 15:19Speaker 2: but I'm definitely gonna do it again, like I know,
- 15:21Speaker 2: I'm as soon as we get to the college football Playoff,
- 15:24Speaker 2: I'm gonna tell myself all the things I need to
- 15:25Speaker 2: tell myself to make sure that and I'm gonna put
- 15:28Speaker 2: in a crazy parlay that's only pro Michigan like I
- 15:31Speaker 2: did when we were when we were going to Louisiana. Yeah,
- 15:33Speaker 2: and it's not gonna hit. It's not gonna hit. But
- 15:38Speaker 2: three time Big Ten champions. Man, that's awesome.
- 15:40Speaker 1: Yeah, are you confident now here? Here's the question to
- 15:44Speaker 1: set all this up because it could be a conversation there.
- 15:46Speaker 2: But we want I know this conversation is coming. Do
- 15:48Speaker 2: we want to finish bad and ugly? Because this is
- 15:49Speaker 2: gonna be a long winded conversation.
- 15:50Speaker 5: Hang on.
- 15:51Speaker 1: What I was gonna ask is, so I have the
- 15:52Speaker 1: good Playoff Committee?
- 15:54Speaker 5: Did you have them in there in bad or ugly?
- 15:57Speaker 2: No? No, no, no, I thought I didn't put them
- 15:59Speaker 2: in there. I thought they did a really good job.
- 16:01Speaker 5: Though.
- 16:01Speaker 2: I think they the four best teams besides Georgia not
- 16:05Speaker 2: being in it. I think Georgia should have probably been
- 16:07Speaker 2: in it. But where do you put them in because
- 16:09Speaker 2: Michigan obviously needs to Why how did you.
- 16:10Speaker 5: Think Georgia should have been in?
- 16:11Speaker 2: Like what was your four you're gonna if you're gonna
- 16:13Speaker 2: keep a team out, you keep Alabama out going from
- 16:16Speaker 2: eight to four, jumping four spots and then moving the
- 16:19Speaker 2: number one seed back four spots.
- 16:21Speaker 1: But how are you not going to put if Bama
- 16:24Speaker 1: just bets in the country, that's why we need to
- 16:26Speaker 1: the neutral site. Yeah, twelfteen one would have been a
- 16:28Speaker 1: lot of it. It had been perfect. But how like
- 16:32Speaker 1: to you, how are you going to are you just
- 16:34Speaker 1: saying based on where they're ranked, you don't put them
- 16:36Speaker 1: in there, because it's like Bama's literally showing that they're
- 16:39Speaker 1: better and beat the number one team in the country.
- 16:42Speaker 1: So if you would you have Georgia in the one
- 16:44Speaker 1: that can go get it all and not Alabama.
- 16:45Speaker 2: I don't disagree that Alabama should be in this playoff.
- 16:48Speaker 2: I just it's hard for me to not have Georgia
- 16:49Speaker 2: in it because if we let's say this game, let's
- 16:52Speaker 2: say it was September, just like Alabama losing uh to Texas. Yeah,
- 16:56Speaker 2: if Alabama beat Georgia in September and Georgia goes and
- 17:02Speaker 2: wins the SEC, george is in it, right because they've
- 17:06Speaker 2: the avenger loss, right they have, they avenged their loss.
- 17:08Speaker 2: But I'm saying that to me, it's like, you can't
- 17:11Speaker 2: put Alabama in without putting Texas in, and Washington has
- 17:14Speaker 2: to be in, and Michigan has to be in. So
- 17:16Speaker 2: I agree with the four spots. But from a Georgia's perspective,
- 17:19Speaker 2: you win two national championships in a row and you
- 17:21Speaker 2: lose one game one at You're twenty nine to one
- 17:25Speaker 2: in the last three years.
- 17:27Speaker 5: So what would your four would have been? Georgia. I know,
- 17:29Speaker 5: I'm Emma.
- 17:31Speaker 2: I think the committee got it right. I have It's hard.
- 17:34Speaker 2: If I was gonna like argue something, it's going to
- 17:36Speaker 2: be Georgia because I think they're one of the four
- 17:39Speaker 2: best teams.
- 17:40Speaker 1: So anybody else feel like the committee didn't get it right?
- 17:43Speaker 1: I garay, we like your year in. So yeah, I
- 17:46Speaker 1: know you're excited. Jack Mitch JP, you.
- 17:50Speaker 9: Just kind of have to feel bad for Florida State.
- 17:52Speaker 9: I agree with them not being in it. Like if
- 17:55Speaker 9: Jordan Travis was playing, obviously they would they would be
- 17:57Speaker 9: in there. JP brought up a good point this morning,
- 17:59Speaker 9: like you almost wish Jordan got hurt in the championship
- 18:03Speaker 9: game and they still won, because then it would have
- 18:06Speaker 9: like a a better reasoning for them to get in.
- 18:09Speaker 2: But you just kind of have yeah, like yeah, hurt.
- 18:12Speaker 2: Street had a good comment about it, like if J. J.
- 18:15Speaker 2: McCarthy gets hurt in the way that Florida State got hurt,
- 18:18Speaker 2: they wouldn't be in it. If Alabama's quarterback got hurt.
- 18:21Speaker 2: If you know, if any of these teams quarterbacks got hurt,
- 18:23Speaker 2: If Penis got hurt from Washington, the same situation would
- 18:26Speaker 2: probably happen to that team.
- 18:28Speaker 10: I think late in the year, say, if Penis gets
- 18:31Speaker 10: hurt in the conference championship, then it kind of hurts
- 18:36Speaker 10: college football because you could miss out on an opportunity,
- 18:39Speaker 10: like when Tua comes in for Jalen Hurts and it's
- 18:42Speaker 10: like this magical Oh my gosh, who's this backup?
- 18:45Speaker 8: He's elite. I'm glad it didn't play out that way.
- 18:49Speaker 2: But when I was after the Michigan game and I
- 18:52Speaker 2: was trying to figure out my head, who's gonna go where,
- 18:54Speaker 2: like trying to play that game in my head. I
- 18:56Speaker 2: looked up third string quarterbacks that won the National Championship
- 18:58Speaker 2: and was at Cardell jone from Ohio State third string
- 19:02Speaker 2: played three games and won the National Championship, and Ohio
- 19:05Speaker 2: State w you know, obviously was allowed at it and
- 19:07Speaker 2: all that. So I really thought, I really thought Florida
- 19:09Speaker 2: State was going to be in it. I really did.
- 19:11Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a tough It's tough too, like you go
- 19:13Speaker 1: and defeed at thirteen to zero and you have a
- 19:15Speaker 1: team that is embracing the next man up mentality like
- 19:18Speaker 1: the Cordell Jones of the world too is Yeah again,
- 19:22Speaker 1: frustration is definitely like justified.
- 19:25Speaker 2: Yeah, I love the head coaches statement he put out.
- 19:29Speaker 2: Disgusted was in the first three words, because I mean,
- 19:32Speaker 2: if you're Florid State, if you're Tallahassee, you got to
- 19:34Speaker 2: be sick right now. Yeah, they are because you had
- 19:36Speaker 2: a good ball club. You had a good team. You
- 19:38Speaker 2: guys played good teams and you beat good teams.
- 19:40Speaker 1: The good thing is they're getting to play in the
- 19:42Speaker 1: Orange Bowl against Georgia, which I think that's a great
- 19:44Speaker 1: that's a fucking.
- 19:45Speaker 2: Georgia's mop the floor of them, though, because if they
- 19:48Speaker 2: would have left proves that it was the right decision
- 19:51Speaker 2: to keep them out of the playoffs.
- 19:52Speaker 1: I think that they have a more like, you know,
- 19:54Speaker 1: they're going to do the thing to where say they
- 19:56Speaker 1: beat Georgia, were national champions, they make the rings were
- 19:59Speaker 1: national champions. As we went on, liked, yeah, they should
- 20:04Speaker 1: do that.
- 20:04Speaker 2: They should absolutely do that. We're gonna say ge.
- 20:06Speaker 11: Georgia is opened against uh, Florida State is a fourteen
- 20:11Speaker 11: point favorite.
- 20:12Speaker 2: Yeah that's tough. Yeah, yeah, and it might go up.
- 20:16Speaker 1: What we've seen teams as high as nine and a
- 20:18Speaker 1: half point favorites lose. Oregon, Washington, Washington, Washington, Big. Washington
- 20:25Speaker 1: showed up big.
- 20:26Speaker 2: I thought they're gonna run away with it in the
- 20:27Speaker 2: second half. I thought they were because it was they
- 20:30Speaker 2: were what over ten points up right right? I know
- 20:34Speaker 2: it was a good It was a good weekend of
- 20:35Speaker 2: college football for sure, aside from Michigan Iowa. So how
- 20:40Speaker 2: do you feel.
- 20:40Speaker 1: About Michigan getting pulling Alabama as their first game, because
- 20:44Speaker 1: obviously you see the you see so starting off my
- 20:46Speaker 1: bad is Michigan's reaction to Alabama getting pooled.
- 20:49Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 20:49Speaker 2: I didn't like that reaction either, but you know, people
- 20:52Speaker 2: want to just like say, like, oh, it was because
- 20:54Speaker 2: they felt bad for Florida State. They just I thought
- 20:57Speaker 2: they were gonna play Florida State. I did too, So
- 20:59Speaker 2: my first react, that's what you wanted, right, yeah, because
- 21:01Speaker 2: here's your team. This is the most logical thought process
- 21:07Speaker 2: is if you want to have success, you got to
- 21:10Speaker 2: go through hard times. But you want the path of
- 21:12Speaker 2: least resistance. Everybody does everything we want to accomplish. We
- 21:15Speaker 2: all want to do it, but we want the path
- 21:17Speaker 2: of least resistance. That path is obviously Florida State. And
- 21:20Speaker 2: they're undefeated, and so you're like, yo, come on, Florida State,
- 21:24Speaker 2: get in this thing. And then when they see it,
- 21:25Speaker 2: they're like fuck. And for me, the last time Michigan
- 21:29Speaker 2: played Alabama was twenty twelve in the Cowboy Classic.
- 21:32Speaker 1: I think it all again in twenty nineteen. Did they
- 21:34Speaker 1: play them again something like that they beat They gotta
- 21:36Speaker 1: be pretty good too.
- 21:37Speaker 2: I don't know that though, So the last time, so
- 21:39Speaker 2: my taste in my mouth is like, God, damn the
- 21:42Speaker 2: SEC the Alabama. I'm thinking we'll get them. We'll get
- 21:46Speaker 2: them at the end of National Championship and we I've
- 21:49Speaker 2: said this to you guys this morning, like we knew.
- 21:52Speaker 2: We all knew here that Michigan was going to win
- 21:54Speaker 2: the Bagden Championship. Whether we liked it or not, we
- 21:56Speaker 2: all had it. We're like Michigan's probably we all knew
- 22:01Speaker 2: that Michigan was gonna win the Big Than Championship. This
- 22:02Speaker 2: is the next step we gotta take. This is the
- 22:04Speaker 2: best team Michigans had in forever. And so yeah, sec
- 22:08Speaker 2: big bad Wolf Alabama the big bad Wolf for the
- 22:10Speaker 2: longest time in the last twenty years. This is the underdogs.
- 22:15Speaker 2: We're the underdogs, dude, we are the underdogs of college football. No,
- 22:19Speaker 2: go ahead, what what was it?
- 22:21Speaker 5: No?
- 22:21Speaker 1: No, no, no, it's it doesn't it doesn't pertain to this.
- 22:24Speaker 1: It does not pertain to this.
- 22:25Speaker 10: Well, it's the quote for them that I always say,
- 22:29Speaker 10: one often meets his destiny on the path he takes
- 22:31Speaker 10: to avoid it. They wanted Florida State, they got Alabama.
- 22:37Speaker 1: They always just.
- 22:38Speaker 2: Dropped the gym. The fourth time I've heard it this morning.
- 22:41Speaker 2: That's all right.
- 22:42Speaker 1: Now we're you know, now everybody gets to hear it.
- 22:44Speaker 1: Everybody gets to hear hey, like we were trying to
- 22:45Speaker 1: get We're trying to get you on the lack of Hey,
- 22:48Speaker 1: you gotta be the big bad To me, it's like
- 22:50Speaker 1: you're the team that wants to be the bad boy
- 22:51Speaker 1: of college football, right, Like the whole NCAA has been
- 22:54Speaker 1: against them.
- 22:54Speaker 5: So it's like embracing that.
- 22:56Speaker 1: Hey, we're the bad boys, We're number one, Like whoever
- 22:58Speaker 1: fucking wants it, You're it's you against that, it's Michigan
- 23:01Speaker 1: versus everybody.
- 23:02Speaker 5: Then when they pull and it's like, oh shit.
- 23:05Speaker 2: Damn, yeah, I did not like that tough start. I
- 23:09Speaker 2: texted some boys. I was say, I'm gonna need an
- 23:11Speaker 2: explanation on that reaction.
- 23:12Speaker 1: And then you're trying to You're you're you're navigating it
- 23:14Speaker 1: as you should. You're trying to take a moment. Hey,
- 23:16Speaker 1: you know, fear can be an option, I guess because
- 23:20Speaker 1: now you want them to be an underdog story.
- 23:21Speaker 2: But this is say about fear. Fear's like fire, all right,
- 23:26Speaker 2: If you use it properly, it can feed you, it
- 23:29Speaker 2: can keep you warm in the winter. It can if
- 23:32Speaker 2: you can support your lifestyle. But if you let it
- 23:34Speaker 2: get out of hand, it can cause fires. It can
- 23:35Speaker 2: cause damage, you can ruin your entire life. Fear is
- 23:38Speaker 2: a healthy thing to have, and.
- 23:39Speaker 1: If Michigan is having that conversation right now, that is
- 23:42Speaker 1: a we got to have this hot conversation because here's
- 23:45Speaker 1: the energy in the room.
- 23:46Speaker 2: Yeah, I agree, and I, like I said earlier, I
- 23:49Speaker 2: didn't like Dave's approach to it, like the big bad wolf, like, hey,
- 23:53Speaker 2: who I get it, I get it, And then it
- 23:55Speaker 2: is it is inevitably going to be whoever wants it.
- 23:58Speaker 2: But when you're behind closed door, as they should have
- 24:00Speaker 2: been in that moment and you go, oh, fuh, yeah
- 24:04Speaker 2: we got Alabama, we got we got what we wanted. Essentially,
- 24:07Speaker 2: is like we want the SEC. We're gonna get them.
- 24:09Speaker 2: You got to take that moment and be like, no,
- 24:12Speaker 2: I mean you got what you want to Eventually you're gonna
- 24:13Speaker 2: have to play the SEC. Anyay, if you won the NST Championship,
- 24:15Speaker 2: if you.
- 24:15Speaker 1: Want to win the ball, Yeah, but that was the game,
- 24:17Speaker 1: like this could have been the first time or SEC
- 24:19Speaker 1: is lessa out left out of the college football Yeah,
- 24:21Speaker 1: I don't think.
- 24:22Speaker 2: Yeah, I guess if you know, there's a reason that's
- 24:24Speaker 2: a put Georgia, But who do you put in? Not
- 24:26Speaker 2: put Alabama in? But who do you put in? If
- 24:27Speaker 2: you don't put Alabama, it.
- 24:28Speaker 1: Would have been Florida State. It would have been Florida State.
- 24:31Speaker 1: It been Michiganian Washington, Texas and Florida State. Out of
- 24:37Speaker 1: the easiest way to go, boys being the easiest way
- 24:39Speaker 1: to go. I'm listen, there are nerves to this game.
- 24:43Speaker 1: To me, it's like I've been confident in every single
- 24:46Speaker 1: game Michigan's played, But what have we seen in the
- 24:48Speaker 1: college playoff? This is where I sit with you guys
- 24:49Speaker 1: and us are sitting me all year. Yeah, but they
- 24:51Speaker 1: get dumby thee. Now we're here and this is our
- 24:54Speaker 1: opportunity to take the next step. We beat Alabama. We're
- 24:57Speaker 1: winning the national championship. Playing and simple. That is going
- 25:00Speaker 1: to happen. We are going to beat Alabama. We are Hey,
- 25:04Speaker 1: have you guys?
- 25:04Speaker 7: You know what do you mean?
- 25:07Speaker 2: You don't believe that right now? That's the issue with y'all.
- 25:10Speaker 2: I can't talk. I can't talk my way through these emotions. Yeah,
- 25:15Speaker 2: you're five and seven, you were five and seven?
- 25:17Speaker 7: Hey, have you heard what?
- 25:19Speaker 2: Y'all don't even know?
- 25:19Speaker 12: Have you heard what Mohammed Salam says those who live
- 25:24Speaker 12: in illusions die in reality?
- 25:27Speaker 1: Here that will what what illusion?
- 25:33Speaker 2: Am I living in?
- 25:33Speaker 12: Right?
- 25:33Speaker 2: Nebraska?
- 25:34Speaker 1: Every year, this year, this dude, you are what happens?
- 25:39Speaker 1: I die in reality? So what Tinto's down. I'm confident
- 25:42Speaker 1: in whatever game we would play.
- 25:44Speaker 2: Monday after they lost to Iowa, he goes, you can't
- 25:47Speaker 2: tell me they're not going to go six and oh.
- 25:49Speaker 1: Based on the trajectory of the year and what we
- 25:51Speaker 1: have in house that we can bring in. Hey, we
- 25:53Speaker 1: just landed a four star offensive lineman. We were landing cats, Like.
- 25:57Speaker 2: Would you would you say a week ago it doesn't
- 25:59Speaker 2: matter until signs.
- 26:02Speaker 1: Yeah, that's he's committed. That's true. That's that's true. But
- 26:07Speaker 1: even a part of this conversation, we're out of it.
- 26:10Speaker 1: It's over, it's over.
- 26:11Speaker 2: It's right. He's just saying, you're.
- 26:12Speaker 1: Talking through a lot of illusions right here, and you're
- 26:15Speaker 1: about to die here.
- 26:16Speaker 2: I understand. Listen, Anderston, the war I deal with when
- 26:18Speaker 2: it comes to college football on this bus, I get it.
- 26:21Speaker 2: And I what I'd be saying, I wasn't nervous about Alabama?
- 26:23Speaker 2: Would I be lying, Yes, I'd be lying if I
- 26:25Speaker 2: said I wasn't nervous for Alabama. However, in a month
- 26:29Speaker 2: less than a month's time, Michigan is going to defeat
- 26:32Speaker 2: Alabama and shock the entire world because everybody who people
- 26:36Speaker 2: put bets in for Alabama win the national championship this
- 26:40Speaker 2: past weekend, you put up a can you put on too?
- 26:43Speaker 2: When he was in Texas? Can you put up the
- 26:44Speaker 2: overly direct take he did in August? What was the
- 26:47Speaker 2: odds in August?
- 26:49Speaker 5: So seven hundred.
- 26:51Speaker 1: This overly direct take is brought to you by direct TV.
- 26:54Speaker 1: Direct TV's the ultimate desolate destination for pro football where
- 26:57Speaker 1: fans can get their football fix this season, where watching
- 27:00Speaker 1: the games live on TV or streaming DirecTV as you covered,
- 27:03Speaker 1: and you can get DirecTV without satellite again. You can stream.
- 27:08Speaker 1: Stop compromising, start watching football. Called one eight hundred direct
- 27:11Speaker 1: TV for more information. My overly direct take is Alabama
- 27:17Speaker 1: wins the national title. And it sucked that I couldn't
- 27:19Speaker 1: put one thousand dollars on them when they're plus four
- 27:21Speaker 1: eighty when the college ball playoff wasn't determined, But I
- 27:24Speaker 1: still got them locked in at plus two hundred.
- 27:26Speaker 5: Great, that's my overlead direct team.
- 27:29Speaker 2: My direct take mission was the next championship. I'll be
- 27:31Speaker 2: betting that today better right now, right.
- 27:34Speaker 5: Now, do the same amount you did for I don't have.
- 27:37Speaker 11: That much on my account, what do we think about
- 27:42Speaker 11: the Texas Washington matchup?
- 27:44Speaker 2: I love it.
- 27:45Speaker 1: Yeah, JP brought up a good stat earlier that they
- 27:48Speaker 1: played last year in the in the bowl game.
- 27:50Speaker 5: Which bowl game was it?
- 27:52Speaker 1: Ala Mobole and there was only a one score game Alamobile,
- 27:55Speaker 1: but it was only a one score game. Like I
- 27:57Speaker 1: think Washington was one of those teams too that was
- 28:00Speaker 1: kind of getting left out of the conversation for a
- 28:03Speaker 1: lot of the college fotball playoff because they were nine
- 28:05Speaker 1: and a half point underdogs against Oregon, which was wild,
- 28:08Speaker 1: but Oregon was on a tear going into that game,
- 28:13Speaker 1: so everyone figured and assumed that that Oregon would win
- 28:17Speaker 1: that game. But Washington, man like, they showed up and
- 28:20Speaker 1: taking care of business. Pennix is awesome, But I do
- 28:22Speaker 1: think a lot of people doubt Washington. They're not even
- 28:24Speaker 1: talking about them to win the national title, even though
- 28:26Speaker 1: they have went undefeated thirteen to zero and arguably the third,
- 28:31Speaker 1: second third best conference in the country. So I do
- 28:34Speaker 1: think Washington has a great shot. I'm just I'm fired
- 28:36Speaker 1: up for Texas because they won. They won a statement
- 28:41Speaker 1: game against not like a statement game, but a statement
- 28:43Speaker 1: win as far as how badly they beat Oklahoma State
- 28:46Speaker 1: because I do feel like if it would have been close,
- 28:47Speaker 1: based on their close games with Iowa State with TCU,
- 28:50Speaker 1: then it was kind of like, I mean, yeah, Texas
- 28:52Speaker 1: beat Alabama, but also the resume on the back ALFs
- 28:55Speaker 1: are not like this again, this big bad wolf that's
- 28:56Speaker 1: gonna go into the college football Playoff.
- 28:58Speaker 11: Their last two games they scre or I guess they
- 29:00Speaker 11: scored forty nine this past weekend, but their last two
- 29:03Speaker 11: games they scored fifty points.
- 29:05Speaker 2: So they each statements yeah.
- 29:07Speaker 1: Right, because Quinn was hurt as well, everybody's like Quinn,
- 29:09Speaker 1: yours is hurt. He's gonna come back, and he did
- 29:11Speaker 1: bounce back in a big way. And I do think
- 29:12Speaker 1: Texas has an unbelievable opportunity to beat Washington, who's undefeated,
- 29:17Speaker 1: which is you know, we're in the Coastwall Playoff now
- 29:19Speaker 1: like it's this is the best four teams. But also
- 29:22Speaker 1: they go in, you know, if it's Michigan, whether it's
- 29:24Speaker 1: a revenge game, which i'd like to see against Alabama,
- 29:27Speaker 1: I think the stakes would be so high, the hype train,
- 29:29Speaker 1: the content, the trailers would be so high. Oh yeah
- 29:32Speaker 1: for Texas Alabama rematch.
- 29:34Speaker 11: The amount of times you'll see that game played over
- 29:37Speaker 11: and over and over again for that week.
- 29:39Speaker 1: And what's awesome too, is there's representation in four out
- 29:41Speaker 1: of the five Power five conferences. Again, it sucks at
- 29:44Speaker 1: Florida State's not in it, but you get the best
- 29:46Speaker 1: from every conference that's in it. And Alabama's on a
- 29:49Speaker 1: nice heater right now, a lot of excitement in Tuscaloosa.
- 29:55Speaker 1: I'm just glad the committee did the right thing.
- 29:58Speaker 5: Yeah, I just uh, it was so hard.
- 30:00Speaker 11: I feel like this is the first time they've actually said, Okay,
- 30:03Speaker 11: this is the four best, not the four deserving.
- 30:05Speaker 1: Right, which a lot of people are excited about. I'm
- 30:07Speaker 1: happy about, But then there's a lot of people who's
- 30:09Speaker 1: really pissed off that, hey, does the regular season not matter,
- 30:12Speaker 1: which is justified. It just it sucks.
- 30:14Speaker 2: At the end of the day.
- 30:15Speaker 1: It's like who would win if it goes back to
- 30:17Speaker 1: Staban last year, Like, if you put him in, who'd
- 30:19Speaker 1: be favored you in Vegas? Favor If you have Alabama
- 30:22Speaker 1: and Florida State favored right now in a game, who's
- 30:25Speaker 1: gonna be favored And it's gonna be Alabama by probably
- 30:27Speaker 1: double digits. So if George's got him by fourteen. Yeah,
- 30:31Speaker 1: George's got him by fourteen. Alabama's gonna it would be
- 30:33Speaker 1: by double digits. So for that, it's like those reasons
- 30:35Speaker 1: is why Alabama is in. And it's the best four
- 30:38Speaker 1: teams versus you know, the deserving, most deserving teams.
- 30:42Speaker 5: I'm fired up.
- 30:43Speaker 2: That's been placed.
- 30:44Speaker 5: You got it? What you put in?
- 30:45Speaker 2: Fifteen hundred?
- 30:46Speaker 5: Uh, what's what are the odds?
- 30:49Speaker 2: Hey, it's like forty two hundred thirty Wes, you're in it. Yeah,
- 30:55Speaker 2: let's go.
- 30:59Speaker 5: What are you all right?
- 31:00Speaker 2: I'm good?
- 31:01Speaker 8: What was that?
- 31:02Speaker 5: Look?
- 31:04Speaker 2: Just you in general, brou You.
- 31:07Speaker 1: Get a little laugh at the end, like which where
- 31:09Speaker 1: we understand is a joke. But it doesn't feel like
- 31:10Speaker 1: there's no, no no.
- 31:11Speaker 2: I'm a trusting world. Everything's fair, everything's good right now.
- 31:14Speaker 1: Yeah, listen, I've been public about it. I do want
- 31:17Speaker 1: you guys to go down.
- 31:18Speaker 2: You've been public about it.
- 31:19Speaker 1: Like when Alabama got drawn, I was like, oh yeah,
- 31:21Speaker 1: nowhere to go, now, nowhere to go?
- 31:23Speaker 2: Because I was like, man, I hope this time.
- 31:25Speaker 1: Wait dude, when we win, oh my god, from Florida State.
- 31:28Speaker 1: When Florida State was like when they're up for it,
- 31:31Speaker 1: I was like man, we can't have them. Like, guys,
- 31:32Speaker 1: this is all hands on deck, Like you need Michigan
- 31:35Speaker 1: to go through a uh, you need them to fully
- 31:37Speaker 1: earn this national title.
- 31:38Speaker 2: DA Alabama, you beat Alabama. Then you play Texas, you
- 31:40Speaker 2: beat Texas. Then there's no argument. There's no again, Washington.
- 31:44Speaker 2: If Michigan wins this, there's nothing else for you guys
- 31:47Speaker 2: to say there's no asterisk on anything. The astrosk will
- 31:50Speaker 2: be there, but very much will be I also have
- 31:54Speaker 2: an overly direct take, and it's that Garrett is a
- 31:57Speaker 2: worse winning fan than I am.
- 32:00Speaker 13: How So, how so to go along with Taylor's direct take,
- 32:06Speaker 13: the ugly that I had in my ugly list was
- 32:09Speaker 13: Garrett thinking he knew what losing really was.
- 32:12Speaker 11: Can I explain a little bit, Yeah, you can explain.
- 32:15Speaker 11: You can explain like I told JP this morning because
- 32:17Speaker 11: he said he was gonna bring it up after reading
- 32:20Speaker 11: it in your response, I was like, seeing it how
- 32:24Speaker 11: it came off. But I think I left the most
- 32:27Speaker 11: important word out as the kid was like, Mom, I'm
- 32:30Speaker 11: not used to losing, and so in my head, I'm like,
- 32:33Speaker 11: this kid's gonna have a tough tough life.
- 32:35Speaker 2: But I can see how.
- 32:36Speaker 11: It was taken from you, but then you know how
- 32:40Speaker 11: to stand on business regardless.
- 32:42Speaker 1: Yeah, but your business, like you know that was you know,
- 32:46Speaker 1: that was a ratio that you can't come back from.
- 32:49Speaker 2: You see my other tweet. You see my other tweet.
- 32:52Speaker 2: What you want probably ratio, probably.
- 32:56Speaker 1: Bully, the ratio you can't come back over. Will's approaching
- 33:00Speaker 1: four hundred thousand followers.
- 33:02Speaker 2: Well as so many people that so vote for you.
- 33:07Speaker 1: So what you're saying, So, what you're saying is when
- 33:12Speaker 1: you're like, so, here's what the tweet was for Garrett,
- 33:14Speaker 1: and go follow the boy.
- 33:15Speaker 5: Garrett underscore, Garrett Hargas.
- 33:19Speaker 4: Appreciate right, Yeah, appreciate that.
- 33:21Speaker 2: So for three years just overheard it.
- 33:23Speaker 5: Georgia students say, I'm not used to losing.
- 33:26Speaker 1: Kid has no idea what real life is like to
- 33:28Speaker 1: wish all the boys pretty much responded. JP's like, hey,
- 33:31Speaker 1: well come to South Carolina, Tennessee being down.
- 33:34Speaker 12: Those were of all time from JP saying you have
- 33:37Speaker 12: no idea?
- 33:38Speaker 5: Yeah, so so.
- 33:39Speaker 1: Like you have and then uh, and so I responded,
- 33:43Speaker 1: this tweet is like a rich kid not getting the
- 33:46Speaker 1: new iPhone and you're saying from your stands, you're just
- 33:48Speaker 1: saying it as the dialogue between him and his mom.
- 33:51Speaker 1: You weren't saying it as an Alabama fan hearing a
- 33:53Speaker 1: Georgia fan thinking this guy has no idea, what real
- 33:56Speaker 1: no hold on.
- 33:56Speaker 11: Afterwards, I'm like, oh my god, that sounds so tim Air.
- 34:00Speaker 2: Let's go back to this ratio real quick, because you
- 34:02Speaker 2: did get fifty eight likes and you only got one
- 34:04Speaker 2: hundred and four. Will.
- 34:05Speaker 5: It's a ratio, but you.
- 34:07Speaker 1: Have literally one hundred, two hundred times more followers than him,
- 34:12Speaker 1: and then you screenshot it and then put it out
- 34:14Speaker 1: for the world to see, to get it to a
- 34:16Speaker 1: bigger audience, and then that's whet of the damage.
- 34:17Speaker 2: You didn't even tag flowers on the grate. They didn't
- 34:19Speaker 2: even tag me. Well, Will screenshot it that day, tweeted
- 34:23Speaker 2: me before we get off, before we became with the show.
- 34:25Speaker 2: I went on my I on Twitter and I saw
- 34:28Speaker 2: Will screenshoting Dave and I his conversation and doesn't tag
- 34:31Speaker 2: me or day. I'm just like, this is Dave.
- 34:33Speaker 1: Doesn't allow tags, so I didn't want to tag one,
- 34:35Speaker 1: not the other type thing.
- 34:36Speaker 8: Yeah, was just sub tweeting.
- 34:37Speaker 1: And then when I said random fan, I didn't want
- 34:39Speaker 1: to tip off that I know who the fan was.
- 34:41Speaker 5: They had to figured it out themselves.
- 34:45Speaker 2: Man, dude, if only your school was as good at
- 34:47Speaker 2: football as you were at Twitter.
- 34:49Speaker 5: Yeah, we'd be undefeated.
- 34:50Speaker 2: You guys would be at least making a bowl game. Man,
- 34:54Speaker 2: fun times. You want to talk about sport Clips, Yeah,
- 34:56Speaker 2: let's talk about sport calls.
- 34:58Speaker 1: Your hair may grow fast, but after going to sport
- 35:00Speaker 1: Clips haircuts, you'll wish it grew even faster.
- 35:03Speaker 2: That's because sport Cliffs.
- 35:05Speaker 1: Has the best seats in hair and that may or
- 35:07Speaker 1: may not be because they happen to be right in
- 35:09Speaker 1: front of TVs playing sports all day every day. Boys,
- 35:13Speaker 1: that's right, they play sports in front of you while
- 35:15Speaker 1: you're getting your haircut. We know that watching sports while
- 35:18Speaker 1: getting a haircut sure beats watching your reflection of getting
- 35:20Speaker 1: a haircut, which is why sport Clips every Day is
- 35:23Speaker 1: clippers and curve balls, high tops and hell Mary's and
- 35:25Speaker 1: even waves and wickets.
- 35:27Speaker 5: If you're into that kind of thing.
- 35:28Speaker 1: At sport Clips, you can check in with the pros
- 35:31Speaker 1: and men's hair and totally check out with pure uninterrupted
- 35:34Speaker 1: relaxation and football. So yeah, come watch an endless stream
- 35:37Speaker 1: of sports on TV while getting an awesome haircut sport clips.
- 35:42Speaker 5: It is a game changer.
- 35:44Speaker 2: Nice, do you want to do our bad now? Since
- 35:46Speaker 2: we've got the only other bad that I have?
- 35:48Speaker 1: Outside of what I said Michigan's reaction, Yeah was YouTube
- 35:53Speaker 1: verus Surviving Barstool?
- 35:55Speaker 5: Yeah, I thought that was. I thought that was It
- 35:59Speaker 5: is in the ugly and ship to.
- 36:00Speaker 2: Get you beat, right, But I'll just go through my
- 36:03Speaker 2: bad real quick ahead, all right, Chargers win versus the
- 36:06Speaker 2: Patriots that think it's just the Patriots are so dead
- 36:08Speaker 2: and the Charges win by six boys. That's crazy Michigan's
- 36:11Speaker 2: offense versus Iowa Chiefs losing the Packers. People saying mom
- 36:17Speaker 2: in a conversation as opposed to my mom. I don't
- 36:21Speaker 2: like that. So it's a pet peeve. Yeah, it would
- 36:24Speaker 2: be considered a pet peeve of mine. But I'll give
- 36:27Speaker 2: you an example. I was in the shop today and
- 36:29Speaker 2: somebody didn't drive their new car in and he and
- 36:31Speaker 2: that person said, mom had to go to the airport.
- 36:35Speaker 2: And I was thinking, that's not our mom, it's your mom,
- 36:38Speaker 2: So say my mom. You know what I'm saying, Like
- 36:42Speaker 2: if you were saying if like, oh, my dad's coming
- 36:45Speaker 2: in town, you wouldn't say to me, Dad's coming into town.
- 36:47Speaker 2: It's not hard.
- 36:48Speaker 7: You were breastfeeding till you're like eleven type vibes.
- 36:52Speaker 2: All right, Well, I was gonna ask, yeah, listen, that's
- 36:55Speaker 2: a fucking wild what is that movie when they fucking
- 36:59Speaker 2: curve the bullets?
- 37:00Speaker 1: That's one of those shots right there.
- 37:02Speaker 7: I shot at anyone in the shop.
- 37:06Speaker 12: This is just people who say mom or they'll be like, yeah,
- 37:09Speaker 12: mom's out.
- 37:09Speaker 7: Getting dinner for me, and it's weird to me. I'm
- 37:13Speaker 7: with you.
- 37:14Speaker 1: It sounds British to me, sounds like mom's out getting dinner.
- 37:17Speaker 1: I guess the only way that place is if you're
- 37:18Speaker 1: like you're at their house and you're wondering where dinner
- 37:20Speaker 1: is or something. Yeah, bringing out with Gary and Gary'
- 37:23Speaker 1: that was a tough example.
- 37:24Speaker 11: But I see where you're going. I see where you're going,
- 37:27Speaker 11: right Well. I was gonna ask if if it was
- 37:29Speaker 11: a Southerner. But we know that it's not. No, no,
- 37:32Speaker 11: because I hear that's done a lot. Like they'll be like, yeah,
- 37:35Speaker 11: daddy or mom, Daddy's like country ass.
- 37:38Speaker 9: People say it like yeah, did it bother you when
- 37:40Speaker 9: Ryan was doing it during the interview.
- 37:44Speaker 2: No, I know, I the reason why it did it
- 37:47Speaker 2: is because, uh, when he said it, I literally thought
- 37:50Speaker 2: to myself, Dale Earnhardt said the same thing. That must
- 37:53Speaker 2: be a NASCAR thing, like when dad's dad's out there rising.
- 37:56Speaker 2: I'm like, hey, fuck that to me, that sounded cool
- 37:59Speaker 2: and in my be the difference between dad and mom too,
- 38:02Speaker 2: or just how much you like the other No, because
- 38:04Speaker 2: I like the other person more, the person that says
- 38:06Speaker 2: mom more than Ryan. I don't even know Ryan.
- 38:08Speaker 1: These guys are like a professional status, so maybe you're
- 38:10Speaker 1: just like accepting it.
- 38:11Speaker 2: Oh that's pretty bad. I'm just sucking them off. Yeah. No,
- 38:16Speaker 2: I just think the when you put like a southern
- 38:19Speaker 2: like southern accent, blue collar type shit, when you have
- 38:23Speaker 2: that vibe about you, this should just sounds cooler. Yeah,
- 38:26Speaker 2: you can say things that I couldn't say with this voice.
- 38:29Speaker 2: It wouldn't sound near school as I'm saying it. And
- 38:31Speaker 2: then my last one was Iowa being a field field
- 38:33Speaker 2: goal territory twice and getting zero points, turnovers, fourth down,
- 38:37Speaker 2: that type of thing. But that's the bad.
- 38:38Speaker 1: But I had ugly in there that lined up with
- 38:41Speaker 1: the Ears. I think it was the Yeah, Patriots six
- 38:44Speaker 1: to nothing, what a wild score against the Chargers too,
- 38:47Speaker 1: And that's three consecutive games that the Patriots of Hell
- 38:49Speaker 1: teams under ten points and lost. I think that staff
- 38:52Speaker 1: is done. I think the staff goes, yeah.
- 38:57Speaker 2: You see U pft his take doing a trade vrable
- 39:01Speaker 2: for Belichick, I don't.
- 39:05Speaker 5: I think that.
- 39:06Speaker 2: Don't know what happens either.
- 39:07Speaker 5: I think that that would be good for the Patriots.
- 39:09Speaker 1: I don't think it we I don't think there's upside
- 39:11Speaker 1: for the Titans.
- 39:12Speaker 2: There a little wi in there though, that we the
- 39:15Speaker 2: Patriots the Titans. They'll saw the video of Belichick. He
- 39:17Speaker 2: gets down coming out of that.
- 39:20Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm just saying based on the resume of so
- 39:23Speaker 1: the the gossip out there is that he would be
- 39:25Speaker 1: lined up and set to go like it's going to
- 39:27Speaker 1: be a breakup in the off season and him and
- 39:30Speaker 1: the staff or him would go out to l a
- 39:32Speaker 1: the Chargers because there's an established quarterback and that's where Belichick,
- 39:37Speaker 1: you know, obviously flourishes more with not developing a quarterback,
- 39:40Speaker 1: but having somebody that's already ready to roll and then
- 39:43Speaker 1: fixing culture, fixing defense, and it's a great spot to
- 39:46Speaker 1: go to retire, like you're you know, you're out in California, yeah,
- 39:50Speaker 1: or money's not an issue for Billy bet.
- 39:54Speaker 5: So.
- 39:54Speaker 1: Yeah, gossip, that's the gossip. I think it goes to
- 39:59Speaker 1: adapter that phrase.
- 40:02Speaker 2: And I just feel like Bill, I don't think he's
- 40:04Speaker 2: going to be in a place that's going to have
- 40:06Speaker 2: the type of patients that the Patriots, where he's won
- 40:09Speaker 2: six Super Bowls, is going to be able to have
- 40:11Speaker 2: to allow him to implement his time, like his type
- 40:15Speaker 2: of philosophies and all this stuff. It's too fast. Like
- 40:18Speaker 2: I think the game's changed too much. I think the
- 40:20Speaker 2: players are different. Like in the nineties, early two thousands,
- 40:24Speaker 2: I feel like it was like there was an obvious
- 40:26Speaker 2: coach and then player and if you can see the
- 40:29Speaker 2: level of I don't know if it's respect, well, I'll
- 40:31Speaker 2: use respect for lack of a better word, of players
- 40:34Speaker 2: kind of being more equal to the coach now to
- 40:36Speaker 2: where I don't think it'll be received as well from
- 40:37Speaker 2: those younger guys coming in. So I think I think
- 40:41Speaker 2: when when Bill leaves, like that's the end of Bill.
- 40:44Speaker 1: So you think he'll retire, Yeah, I think I think
- 40:46Speaker 1: he's out to get the winning record.
- 40:48Speaker 5: Who has it? Yeah, don Schule, I.
- 40:51Speaker 2: Think how many how many games is he out.
- 40:55Speaker 1: Yeah, so he need to put in a few more
- 40:57Speaker 1: seasons and and like he need to put a few
- 41:00Speaker 1: seasons with a good team.
- 41:02Speaker 5: I don't think you get that with the Patriots.
- 41:05Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I don't think you get that with the Patriots.
- 41:08Speaker 2: I love how the first two are gentlemen in suits
- 41:11Speaker 2: and hats, and then a third photo and a hoodie
- 41:15Speaker 2: with a towel wrapped around him, like a sauna hoodie
- 41:17Speaker 2: or a sauna towel. Yeah, I mean I could see
- 41:20Speaker 2: that for sure. I just it's not gonna be with
- 41:23Speaker 2: the Patriots. And if he goes to the Chargers, like
- 41:26Speaker 2: they'll win more games. Yeah, he's a better coach than Stay. Yeah.
- 41:30Speaker 1: And then again, defense culture. I think those are the
- 41:32Speaker 1: things that the Chargers are missing. Yeah. Sucks because I
- 41:37Speaker 1: do feel like everybody's vibes are up when we're they're
- 41:39Speaker 1: in training camp and everything else. But again, like when
- 41:42Speaker 1: you're losing the way the Chargers lose, and you're you're
- 41:44Speaker 1: the most, You've spent the most on defense and the
- 41:46Speaker 1: pieces there, and you just can't put it together, you know,
- 41:49Speaker 1: people start to figure out when you're losing, it's coaches
- 41:52Speaker 1: are trying to blame players, players, trying to blame coaches.
- 41:54Speaker 1: Everybody's basically trying to cover their own ass se yaya.
- 42:02Speaker 1: So yeah, he would need to put in a few
- 42:03Speaker 1: more seasons. Yeah, I think he'll. I mean, I just
- 42:06Speaker 1: think it's in his blood to coach football. But the
- 42:08Speaker 1: other bat I had was, yeah, going back to Barsiol
- 42:10Speaker 1: versus YouTube. If people out there right now, who are
- 42:14Speaker 1: who are into the Surviving Barstool Barstool Survivor they dropped
- 42:18Speaker 1: last week Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, phenomenal episode. Seven figures worth
- 42:22Speaker 1: of production put into this thing, and YouTube came up
- 42:25Speaker 1: late later in the week with like a warning or
- 42:27Speaker 1: like an age restriction thing on the first episode, which
- 42:30Speaker 1: was very suspect in Barstool's eyes, because there really wasn't
- 42:33Speaker 1: a whole lot in the first one outside of Rico yelling.
- 42:37Speaker 1: And then the second one they did it again, but
- 42:38Speaker 1: that's where it was, like, I want to say, it
- 42:39Speaker 1: was the Kirkmanihan blow up your house Jeff d Low
- 42:42Speaker 1: and they like really warned about that, and then there
- 42:45Speaker 1: they'd be on the verge of getting is it the
- 42:47Speaker 1: third strike?
- 42:48Speaker 5: A third strike on YouTube?
- 42:50Speaker 1: Which the way YouTube structure and the way that they
- 42:53Speaker 1: are set up is no one really knows how you
- 42:57Speaker 1: gain strikes, like if it's there's no like black and
- 43:00Speaker 1: white way of gaining a strike.
- 43:01Speaker 5: They almost subjectively just say, hey, you got a strike.
- 43:04Speaker 1: There's no way to fight back against it or throw
- 43:06Speaker 1: a challenge flag or like kind of like wait till
- 43:08Speaker 1: everything gets reviewed. It's you get a strike. And if
- 43:11Speaker 1: there's three strikes on YouTube, your channel is gone and
- 43:14Speaker 1: permanently in the goulag forever you can't get it back.
- 43:18Speaker 1: So clearly, as big as Barsool is on YouTube, they
- 43:21Speaker 1: had to make a decision either edit and censor it
- 43:24Speaker 1: the way YouTube wants to censor, or put it behind
- 43:27Speaker 1: a Barseol dot tv. They've chose to go behind a
- 43:30Speaker 1: paywall with Barcel dot tv charging people nine ninety nine.
- 43:34Speaker 1: There's a lot of arguments about that should he be charging?
- 43:38Speaker 5: To me?
- 43:38Speaker 1: The example and an analogy that I would use is
- 43:41Speaker 1: it's like to me, it's like when Shol, when Andrew
- 43:44Speaker 1: Schultz or Andrew Shouls went out with the on Netflix,
- 43:47Speaker 1: or he was gonna go to Netflix with a special.
- 43:50Speaker 1: Netflix had the way that they're now adapting with comedians,
- 43:53Speaker 1: But at one point in time they're wanting the censor jokes,
- 43:56Speaker 1: which comedians absolutely hate. So comedians will come out of pocket,
- 43:59Speaker 1: put a lot of money into their production to produce
- 44:01Speaker 1: their own special and sell it on their website. A
- 44:04Speaker 1: lot of people get behind that and help out and promote,
- 44:07Speaker 1: and you know, buy into that with the comedian because
- 44:11Speaker 1: it's like the small guy versus mainstream media. To me,
- 44:13Speaker 1: it's the same situation. YouTube is wanting to censor this
- 44:16Speaker 1: product that Barstool has with Surviving Barsol, which honestly, if
- 44:20Speaker 1: you watch it, you understand all the context with absolutely everything.
- 44:23Speaker 1: It's it's a great survivor reality TV show, and so
- 44:27Speaker 1: YouTube wants to censor it.
- 44:28Speaker 2: Dave's not bending the knee.
- 44:30Speaker 1: Hey, we're gonna put it behind a paywall to help
- 44:32Speaker 1: to help pay for recoup whatever the seven figures that
- 44:35Speaker 1: went into all this production behind the scenes and everything else,
- 44:38Speaker 1: so you can pay for it. Nine to ninety nine
- 44:40Speaker 1: Barstool dot tv, and the episodes are four, five, and
- 44:44Speaker 1: six come out.
- 44:45Speaker 5: You know, they came out yesterday as you're listening now.
- 44:47Speaker 1: They came out yesterday, tonight and tomorrow, and then seven
- 44:50Speaker 1: eight nine will be coming out next Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.
- 44:52Speaker 1: You'll see them all come out in succession, and then
- 44:55Speaker 1: after that the week's following you will get it for
- 44:57Speaker 1: free on barstool dot tv. If you're like me, I'm
- 45:02Speaker 1: paying because I hate the fomo aspect and I hate
- 45:04Speaker 1: knowing what happens and people talking about it online because
- 45:07Speaker 1: it will be clips will be coming out, it will
- 45:09Speaker 1: be talked about. So that's kind of the entire conversation
- 45:13Speaker 1: about it. It's like Dave when hardcore, Hey we're not
- 45:15Speaker 1: doing this, We're going this way. But if you're looking
- 45:18Speaker 1: at it, it's legit. You two wanted to censor, Barstool
- 45:22Speaker 1: doesn't want to. They're now going behind their own website
- 45:24Speaker 1: to stream it. You have to pay for it. I
- 45:26Speaker 1: know that pisses people off. This wasn't a bait and
- 45:28Speaker 1: switch by Dave or Barstool. Those were all the facts
- 45:31Speaker 1: of it, and so yeah, if you're a supporter, I
- 45:34Speaker 1: think what sucks is there were a lot of people
- 45:36Speaker 1: texting me that weren't like in the Barstool fandom or
- 45:39Speaker 1: anything else, that just loved the reality show. And hey,
- 45:42Speaker 1: I don't know what's going on with these other characters,
- 45:44Speaker 1: but I'm so bought in because of how valuable all
- 45:46Speaker 1: the production was right.
- 45:48Speaker 2: Has there ever been a situation that you guys know
- 45:51Speaker 2: where Dave bait and switched fans, No, and so like, yeah,
- 45:55Speaker 2: that argument to me seems so wildly out of left field.
- 45:59Speaker 2: You know how the mindset, well, the boys brand right
- 46:02Speaker 2: like Barstool has always been for the people. It's like
- 46:04Speaker 2: we're we're the community and we're helping.
- 46:06Speaker 5: For the common man by the common Yeah.
- 46:08Speaker 2: And so, but the thing that obviously can be a
- 46:11Speaker 2: disconnect is the different tax brackets obviously, and people being
- 46:14Speaker 2: upset about ten dollars. And I went to Starbucks today
- 46:17Speaker 2: and I spent ten dollars before a tip on two
- 46:19Speaker 2: cups of coffee literally, And I know that was like
- 46:21Speaker 2: the analogy people using that that literally happened to me today,
- 46:24Speaker 2: And so that could be a place where I'm a
- 46:27Speaker 2: little disconnected. But well, it's like it is ten dollars
- 46:31Speaker 2: a big deal?
- 46:32Speaker 1: What was your guys just thought on the whole thing
- 46:34Speaker 1: with the barcel and you because I had a couple
- 46:36Speaker 1: of different thoughts, It's like, I see that if that's
- 46:38Speaker 1: how Dave would have started bringing it, because the backlash
- 46:42Speaker 1: from it is like, Okay, then he did it, am
- 46:44Speaker 1: I being the scumbag, because I do think the framework
- 46:47Speaker 1: was essentially to get to hey, big guys wanting to
- 46:50Speaker 1: censor us, We're not censoring. We think the war cry
- 46:53Speaker 1: is gonna come behind us.
- 46:55Speaker 4: Right.
- 46:55Speaker 1: There was a lot of all pissed off people like
- 46:57Speaker 1: you show us three free episodes were bought in. It's
- 47:00Speaker 1: bullshit that you're now putting it behind a paywall. So
- 47:03Speaker 1: I see like pros and cons of both me. I wanted,
- 47:05Speaker 1: like I tweeted, I wanted a kids Bop version. To me,
- 47:07Speaker 1: it's like, do the edits played by YouTube's rules and
- 47:10Speaker 1: make it extremely known that it is a edited down version.
- 47:13Speaker 1: And then you got Day's version, which is like Taylor
- 47:16Speaker 1: Swift Taylor's version. You put Day's version behind somewhere else
- 47:19Speaker 1: if people want to go do that and to me,
- 47:20Speaker 1: because what you lose out on with YouTube is the
- 47:23Speaker 1: massive audience, Like you get to go home, put on
- 47:25Speaker 1: the YouTube app and it's right there in front of
- 47:27Speaker 1: you and you're like watching it like TV. And the
- 47:30Speaker 1: people who are texting me are the kinds where you know,
- 47:33Speaker 1: every time you have to click and do something more
- 47:35Speaker 1: like law of numbers, you lose like ten percent of people.
- 47:37Speaker 2: Every more you have to go.
- 47:39Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 47:39Speaker 1: Yeah, So that's to me, that's what sucks because I
- 47:42Speaker 1: know how much time and effort by everybody got put
- 47:44Speaker 1: into this. You want the exposure to be there for
- 47:46Speaker 1: those people from the product that was created because in perpetuity,
- 47:50Speaker 1: like the views are just going to keep going up
- 47:52Speaker 1: because of how good of a show it actually is.
- 47:54Speaker 1: So I think it's just harder if people are looking
- 47:56Speaker 1: for it. It's barstool dot TV, support the boys. I
- 48:00Speaker 1: truly think it's worth it. But again, I know everybody
- 48:02Speaker 1: kind of sees it, sees it differently.
- 48:04Speaker 2: Like yeah, there should be all let you going to say,
- 48:07Speaker 2: but the shitty thing for you is you're having such
- 48:09Speaker 2: a good showing those first episodes. You're having such a
- 48:11Speaker 2: good showing, and you just want as many eyes on
- 48:14Speaker 2: that as possible. Yeah, I mean officially for you and
- 48:16Speaker 2: for us.
- 48:17Speaker 1: Yeah selfishly, all the even all the talent and the
- 48:20Speaker 1: all the contestants, like the things that are going to
- 48:21Speaker 1: be coming storyline wise, I think are all time and
- 48:25Speaker 1: it does. It sucks personally, sucks uh team wise with
- 48:29Speaker 1: the surviving cast. It sucks for the production crew behind
- 48:31Speaker 1: it and put it all together that you kind of
- 48:33Speaker 1: just have to you know, let let Dave kind of
- 48:35Speaker 1: lead this thing where he wants to lead it.
- 48:37Speaker 5: But yeah, I like the.
- 48:38Speaker 2: Way you said that, like having like the kids Bop
- 48:40Speaker 2: version on YouTube. That way more eyes get on it
- 48:42Speaker 2: and you're able to monetize that way and then dumb
- 48:45Speaker 2: it downe Yeah, like you make fun of the Yeah,
- 48:48Speaker 2: the production you it's an unfortunate editing. I'm sure the
- 48:51Speaker 2: editing for that would be just absolutely shitty to do
- 48:53Speaker 2: that in three days.
- 48:53Speaker 10: Yeah, that's the problems that could you really edit all
- 48:56Speaker 10: of those things and put it out on YouTube while
- 48:58Speaker 10: it's still Yeah, which is a fair point.
- 49:01Speaker 2: And it does as many employees as they have.
- 49:03Speaker 1: He give if you're not gonna get off schedule with
- 49:05Speaker 1: wanting to get it out the next Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday,
- 49:08Speaker 1: because what sucks is you got to take it down.
- 49:09Speaker 1: Like from my understanding, YouTube said you have two or
- 49:12Speaker 1: three hours to take this down or something was gonna happen.
- 49:16Speaker 1: And your concern is the strike because you don't know
- 49:19Speaker 1: how it comes to you. They don't actually say you're
- 49:20Speaker 1: gonna get a strike. You're not talking with anybody to
- 49:23Speaker 1: where YouTube kind of tells you it just happens it's gone.
- 49:25Speaker 1: There's no there's no reversing it. So it's a tough
- 49:29Speaker 1: spot to be.
- 49:30Speaker 2: I just don't know why, like YouTube would go about
- 49:33Speaker 2: it that way if they don't just want to they
- 49:36Speaker 2: have like they just hurt something. They're like, Okay, we're
- 49:38Speaker 2: gonna censor this now.
- 49:39Speaker 8: It's like there's.
- 49:39Speaker 2: Videos of the war on YouTube, right, there's a crazy
- 49:43Speaker 2: shoot on YouTube and that's like on YouTube, right, Yeah,
- 49:46Speaker 2: and they didn't take them down, right, But like Barstool
- 49:49Speaker 2: are like literally telling Dave like, hey, if you don't
- 49:51Speaker 2: do this, we're gonna do X, Y and Z. It's
- 49:52Speaker 2: like the last thing you want to do to Dave
- 49:53Speaker 2: is given ultimatum, like just work with them, because I'm
- 49:55Speaker 2: sure if they came in a more gentle way, things
- 49:58Speaker 2: would have been worked out so much easier, where he
- 50:00Speaker 2: probably would have came this conclusional conversation supposed to having
- 50:03Speaker 2: two hours to be like no, fuck, you were not
- 50:04Speaker 2: doing that, and then this whole thing has to happen.
- 50:07Speaker 2: So but uh, ten dollars, how do we feel.
- 50:12Speaker 1: About your perspective when it was all going down because
- 50:14Speaker 1: we weren't in the office.
- 50:15Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean I would pay that. It's amazing content.
- 50:17Speaker 9: Even if I wasn't like friendly with you guys and
- 50:19Speaker 9: I didn't know you guys, I would still buy it
- 50:21Speaker 9: because of how like I guess I have like a
- 50:23Speaker 9: stooley kind of just bought into it that way. But
- 50:26Speaker 9: I also think on YouTube's end, it it's just it's
- 50:29Speaker 9: so soft for them to just be like, now you
- 50:31Speaker 9: can't can't put this out there because that first episode
- 50:35Speaker 9: had what eight hundred thousand views.
- 50:37Speaker 5: And yeah, I mean it was gonna grow. That was
- 50:38Speaker 5: gonna be nuts.
- 50:39Speaker 2: Man.
- 50:39Speaker 9: The amount of like Dave's got to look at it
- 50:42Speaker 9: in a business sense, like he's got to make the
- 50:43Speaker 9: money back from the revenue that he's missing out on YouTube,
- 50:46Speaker 9: and like ten dollars for six more episodes is like
- 50:48Speaker 9: what like two dollars in episodes. It's it's not even
- 50:51Speaker 9: that not that expensive in my opinion, like you can.
- 50:55Speaker 1: And then also like when that gets removed from YouTube,
- 50:57Speaker 1: there there's also kind of like a a make right
- 51:00Speaker 1: or a renegotiation with factor who spends all the money.
- 51:03Speaker 1: Because you're paying for seven figure views per episode, you
- 51:06Speaker 1: know it's going to be there. This one is more
- 51:09Speaker 1: of like a wait and see how many people show up?
- 51:11Speaker 1: Because again the just I hate it for the people
- 51:13Speaker 1: who were coming in that weren't familiar, because they might
- 51:15Speaker 1: not even be listening to this and fully understand that
- 51:17Speaker 1: it's not why it's not there anymore. But you make people,
- 51:20Speaker 1: the more hoops you make them jump through, the more
- 51:21Speaker 1: of the audience you lose. So it's kind of like
- 51:23Speaker 1: a renegotiation. Yeah, it's kind of like a renegotiation and
- 51:26Speaker 1: everything that probably conversations that have to take place with
- 51:29Speaker 1: factor to either make right or figure out what the
- 51:31Speaker 1: numbers say.
- 51:32Speaker 5: After I'm not sure.
- 51:35Speaker 1: Like Jack came in after the first one was like, dude,
- 51:38Speaker 1: it was ninety minutes long, I didn't even know it
- 51:39Speaker 1: was that long, Like it just kind of flew by
- 51:41Speaker 1: because of how you know, how much they pulled you
- 51:43Speaker 1: into the story.
- 51:44Speaker 2: Yeah, they did such a great job with that, dude.
- 51:46Speaker 12: And obviously we talked about the ten dollars. I don't
- 51:49Speaker 12: think no one is going to struggle pershing something for
- 51:52Speaker 12: ten dollars. It's a principle by those So for the
- 51:55Speaker 12: people who are upset about it, I think that at
- 51:58Speaker 12: any end, they don't want to see been ten dollars
- 52:00Speaker 12: because at some point it was free and some people
- 52:03Speaker 12: just have an impossible time getting over that fact. And
- 52:08Speaker 12: it sucks because even like our roommate or my roommate Kyle,
- 52:12Speaker 12: he's not like a huge barstool guy, but he like
- 52:15Speaker 12: knows some of the stuff, the ins and outs, and
- 52:17Speaker 12: he watched that first episode and he was fired up
- 52:20Speaker 12: about it, and then the next day all this comes
- 52:22Speaker 12: out and so he makes plenty of money and he
- 52:25Speaker 12: can afford ten dollars, but he's not gonna buy it
- 52:28Speaker 12: out of principle because he's.
- 52:29Speaker 1: Like right, because the downsids, Like, I mean, that was
- 52:32Speaker 1: a sweet episode, but I'm not gonna like, yeah, if
- 52:35Speaker 1: it's not available to me right now, right away to
- 52:36Speaker 1: where I can easily find it.
- 52:38Speaker 7: It's just not it's literally it's not even the ten dollars.
- 52:40Speaker 12: It's having to go in and like put a card in,
- 52:42Speaker 12: like even though that sounds so foolish and childish, but
- 52:45Speaker 12: it is just a principal buy. So hopefully they get
- 52:49Speaker 12: a bunch of people that are gonna purchase that. And
- 52:52Speaker 12: they said two weeks after the initial finale, they're gonna
- 52:56Speaker 12: release all the episodes for free.
- 52:59Speaker 2: Yeah, so you're gonna get like factor the people that
- 53:01Speaker 2: are in the most risk right now. They're gonna get
- 53:03Speaker 2: their views one way or another.
- 53:05Speaker 1: The barsol TV it's people gotta go to barstool dot
- 53:08Speaker 1: tv to do it, which I mean that's the exposure
- 53:10Speaker 1: part of YouTube you miss out on maybe in two
- 53:12Speaker 1: weeks two Like this is a time where you think
- 53:14Speaker 1: about having some edit that out there that can go
- 53:17Speaker 1: on YouTube. Cause again, like those that's for like an
- 53:19Speaker 1: audience that is not nearly as you know, bought into
- 53:23Speaker 1: all of the all the things that happened in the
- 53:25Speaker 1: Barstool universe with every personality that's there. That's to me,
- 53:28Speaker 1: that's where the stoolies kind of eat that stuff up
- 53:30Speaker 1: because you see a lot of like rivalries collide throughout
- 53:33Speaker 1: the entire show.
- 53:34Speaker 2: And you got I mean Dave has the reach. They
- 53:37Speaker 2: have so many people. It's like on barstool not only
- 53:40Speaker 2: Dave but also the employees of Dave to do the
- 53:43Speaker 2: do the work to all Right, you guys gotta go
- 53:45Speaker 2: watch the show like put it on Twitter, put it
- 53:47Speaker 2: on Instagram that people are driven to barceol dot tv.
- 53:50Speaker 2: It's on all of us team.
- 53:52Speaker 1: Because it's like, do you think about the rumble conversation,
- 53:56Speaker 1: do you think about the ex conversation. If it, say
- 53:58Speaker 1: it was like a thing with Twitter and e on,
- 54:00Speaker 1: then the experience of watching it's not the same because
- 54:02Speaker 1: you're just gonna be consuming it on you know, your
- 54:05Speaker 1: phone or an iPad or something like that.
- 54:07Speaker 2: What's the deal with Rumble? Are they the same thing
- 54:09Speaker 2: as YouTube?
- 54:10Speaker 1: You basically it would have been the Yeah, Rumblestry being
- 54:13Speaker 1: a competitor of YouTube essentially. I mean, but you'd almost
- 54:17Speaker 1: assume Rumble would want Barsol to move all of their
- 54:19Speaker 1: stuff to Rumble versus just the one show.
- 54:22Speaker 2: Yeah. I don't think that'd be a good move.
- 54:23Speaker 1: For But in the meantime, until all these episodes come out,

- 55:46Speaker 2: the next game.
- 55:47Speaker 5: Yeah, I think that would be so fun.
- 55:49Speaker 2: That would be sick in a couple of years. In
- 55:52Speaker 2: a couple of years, we gotta get back on track.
- 55:54Speaker 1: Yeah, we got a GBO you boys, dough loss, tough
- 55:58Speaker 1: overtime loss.
- 55:59Speaker 2: Yeah, did you have any ugly because we're fifty minutes
- 56:03Speaker 2: of this episode, we're almost doing good bad ugly? No,
- 56:06Speaker 2: So my ugly was?
- 56:07Speaker 5: Uh was?
- 56:08Speaker 1: I said it in line with the You're bad, which
- 56:11Speaker 1: is the Patriots losing six to nothing, three straight under
- 56:13Speaker 1: ten points, and then Garrett thinking he knows what losing
- 56:15Speaker 1: feels like and we got to cover we got to
- 56:17Speaker 1: cover that.
- 56:17Speaker 5: So I'm I'm crazy, I'm solid. What's your ugly?
- 56:21Speaker 2: My ugly is the chains guy getting his late broken
- 56:23Speaker 2: in that Saints game.
- 56:24Speaker 1: Oh oh that was in insane easy man, ugly?
- 56:29Speaker 2: Pull it up, Yeah, pull it up, ugly. This is
- 56:32Speaker 2: more just is I feel bad Georgia being out of
- 56:33Speaker 2: the playoffs in Florida State thirteen and oh and they're out.
- 56:37Speaker 2: Here's one for the world. NATO says, prepare for bad
- 56:40Speaker 2: news when it comes to war. That's not good. That's
- 56:43Speaker 2: probably in the ugly category.
- 56:44Speaker 5: Oh, what's what's the deal?
- 56:46Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 56:46Speaker 2: I looked at it a little bit. If they're referring
- 56:48Speaker 2: to the war in Ukraine and how they need that
- 56:50Speaker 2: needs to get figured out before because if if Ukraine
- 56:53Speaker 2: starts to fall, then we're in It's we're looking at
- 56:56Speaker 2: w W three.
- 56:57Speaker 10: Really, Yeah, I saw a warship was a US warship,
- 57:01Speaker 10: not even worship.
- 57:02Speaker 4: It was like commercial.
- 57:03Speaker 2: But look at that, dude, look at this guy's leg,
- 57:08Speaker 2: Oh my god. And you can kind of hear it.
- 57:10Speaker 2: There's a couple of different clips where you can hear
- 57:12Speaker 2: the guys screaming in agony. But that's as ugly as
- 57:16Speaker 2: it gets.
- 57:17Speaker 5: That sucks, man.
- 57:18Speaker 2: The thing's just dented to the side.
- 57:19Speaker 8: Dude, Oh, paid enough for that, And he was just
- 57:23Speaker 8: doing like.
- 57:24Speaker 2: He's hype, probably telling his family.
- 57:25Speaker 1: Like do we know if they as Dean Blandina, what
- 57:31Speaker 1: do we know if that gets covered for him? Like
- 57:33Speaker 1: you'd almost want the NFL to come out and say.
- 57:35Speaker 2: I mean Alvin K marsh before, right, But yeah, what
- 57:40Speaker 2: were you gonna say with the It.
- 57:41Speaker 10: Was like we had a ship that I forget which country,
- 57:45Speaker 10: but a country fired some missiles at it.
- 57:47Speaker 8: Obviously we intercepted the missiles.
- 57:49Speaker 10: But that happened, like I want to say, it was
- 57:52Speaker 10: maybe like I don't want to actually say what country
- 57:55Speaker 10: was because I might just butcher it altogether. But that
- 57:59Speaker 10: happened either this morning or yesterday, and that was apparently
- 58:03Speaker 10: a big deal.
- 58:03Speaker 2: Have you seen all these like conspiracy theories like my
- 58:06Speaker 2: algorithm on Instagram's like asking Alexa when World War three
- 58:09Speaker 2: is gonna start? The last one was November twenty fifth,
- 58:12Speaker 2: and legit November twenty fifth, I was like, and it
- 58:15Speaker 2: did start. But the next one is March fourteenth when
- 58:18Speaker 2: China invades the United States invading Iiwan? What's that?
- 58:23Speaker 8: They'll probably invade Taiwan, which would make us have to war.
- 58:27Speaker 2: We are we a part of NATO because I know
- 58:29Speaker 2: forty five was trying to dip. Did he ever dip?
- 58:31Speaker 10: No?
- 58:32Speaker 8: I don't think he ever dipped.
- 58:34Speaker 2: Let's get political, boys, let's.
- 58:35Speaker 1: In the war room. Yeah ah, my wrists background, throw
- 58:39Speaker 1: it in there.
- 58:40Speaker 2: And this is my last ugly. This is a personal
- 58:42Speaker 2: one is my kids turning my new cold tub into
- 58:45Speaker 2: a potion. I was watching the games yesterday sitting on
- 58:49Speaker 2: my couch and my kids like, Daddy, come, look who
- 58:52Speaker 2: we may And I was like, all right. So I
- 58:53Speaker 2: walked outside and I see my cold tub. My outdoor
- 58:56Speaker 2: cold tub lid was open, and I see dirt everywhere,
- 59:00Speaker 2: and I'm like, oh, would y'all make like we made
- 59:03Speaker 2: a potion? And I look at it, dude, I have
- 59:05Speaker 2: a picture of it. I'll send it for people who
- 59:07Speaker 2: watch it on YouTube. But I was tight leaves.
- 59:14Speaker 5: How'd you handle it?
- 59:15Speaker 2: I just took a deep breath.
- 59:16Speaker 5: When you saw you reach over. You look at it.
- 59:19Speaker 2: I looked at it. I looked in the thing. Guys,
- 59:24Speaker 2: this stuff is important, Daddy. We can't do this because
- 59:29Speaker 2: you could break it. And I had to explain why
- 59:30Speaker 2: it would break it. And I was like and I
- 59:32Speaker 2: literally walked around the corner and put my hands on
- 59:34Speaker 2: my knees. Yesterday it was low cute defeating day for me.
- 59:38Speaker 2: It was a tough one for me. And I was
- 59:40Speaker 2: just like looking at the ground, like, God, damn it, dude,
- 59:44Speaker 2: and I walked back. I was like, all right, guys,
- 59:45Speaker 2: let's let's start cleaning it up. And then they started
- 59:47Speaker 2: complaining about how cold the water was, and I was
- 59:50Speaker 2: like the grandpa from Holes, it's two damn bad like
- 59:52Speaker 2: just letting them do their thing, drink the potion. No,
- 59:55Speaker 2: my daughter's making it works. You know that like a
- 59:59Speaker 2: soda brand called Ollipop. Have you heard of them? Mydather right,
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: kids are obsessed with that. My daughter makes Ollipop soup,
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: which he basically just puts a can into a bowl
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: and then adds different ingredients, whether it be fruit or
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: different things. And she just like eats it like soup.
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: So they're all in the potions and all that right now.
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: And uh yeah, you know what telling me looks on
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: me as a father. It got fixed. Everything is clean.
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: Nothing got in the filter. The thing was off. Actually
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: it was like the best case in the worst case scenario.
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: So we got it taken care of. But that is
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: the ship that gets you beat. Yeah, yeah, to get
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: you beat the rest of the day. I had a
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: hard time putting them in the bed. Last night. I
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: had a hard time with them. My daughter, my oldest
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: is having a hard time going to sleep. I did
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: five things.
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: Let's read a story and you just make it up
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: about how these girls they want to.
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: Make a potion, but it's broon want of daddy's things
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: and they had to leave forever and that was unfortunate.
- 1:00:49Speaker 5: This daddy hurt them.
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: Those kids later fell down the stairs. Yeah, it's just
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: a bit of a deal man, feel good of a dad.
- 1:00:56Speaker 14: I am.
- 1:00:56Speaker 5: I don't do those things to you, but just keep
- 1:00:58Speaker 5: in mind how it could be.
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: Hmm. It's like those videos where you see like the dogs,
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: like one like they think like a toy dog in
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: front of a dog and they go eat the food
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: and they beat the shit out of the dog, and
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: I was like, alright, I'm not gonna do that. It's
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: fucking hilarious because the dogs are legit, Like, oh my god. Yeah,
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: all right, we kick it off, Ryan Blaney, No, we
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: gotta do a twisted question. Twisted question another.
- 1:01:24Speaker 7: Opportunity for Mitch.
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: I think he's over on the year.
- 1:01:27Speaker 5: That's all right, It's okay.
- 1:01:28Speaker 4: B O T agree. How you really help with the
- 1:01:30Speaker 4: confidence going in?
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: The question is brought to you by Twisted Tea, the
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: smoothest hard iced tea out there, perfect for pool parties,
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: college game days. Keep it twisted with Twisted Tea. Grab
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: a refreshing Twisted Tea today.
- 1:01:42Speaker 5: The king of alcoholic drinks.
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: Yeah, before we get into twisted Actually, we'll do it after.
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: Who twisted the question?
- 1:01:49Speaker 4: All right? This is this twisted question comes from JP.
- 1:01:52Speaker 9: If the aliens were to invade Earth, which us or
- 1:01:57Speaker 9: which person in the world would you want to send
- 1:01:59Speaker 9: to Great Rock?
- 1:02:02Speaker 4: Oh?
- 1:02:02Speaker 5: I don't know, you know why?
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: The rock a good representation of man, like, hopefully the
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: aliens are a little scrawnier. Hopefully they just have their
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: gadgets and they see the Rock, They're like, yo, Goddamn,
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: who you sending JP Elon Musk.
- 1:02:15Speaker 8: Yeah, Elon's definitely on the list.
- 1:02:18Speaker 5: Yeah, you gotta throw Elon in there.
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: I feel like if anybody's close to speaking the language,
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: he probably knows something.
- 1:02:22Speaker 5: He's got some of that tism.
- 1:02:23Speaker 10: I would put Chris Hemsworth up there over the rock.
- 1:02:26Speaker 10: Really why everybody's cooler with accent?
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: True, but let Donald Trump go, dude, let forty five go,
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: give our.
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: Firm bring bring him in.
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: You guys are doing a lot of great things up there.
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: Bring him into your world and just let trum.
- 1:02:46Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: Yeah, I hope we live to fight another day. Who
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: would you say, Garrett Dennis Rodman, that'd be a great one.
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: That's kind of like an alien contact. Yeah, just be like, hey,
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: we're not so different you and I. Yeah, everything, Okay,
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: I like that, Jack, Who do you.
- 1:03:03Speaker 12: Guys in a wild card? Not someone that we can
- 1:03:06Speaker 12: risk losing. But also it shows what not only American
- 1:03:10Speaker 12: culture is like with the US.
- 1:03:11Speaker 7: So I'm sending Joey Chess.
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: But you can lose Joey.
- 1:03:16Speaker 12: I don't want to, but I thought he's had such
- 1:03:18Speaker 12: a good run for the last decade that like he
- 1:03:21Speaker 12: might be in the back half of the statue.
- 1:03:23Speaker 7: Here, we're getting them a statue if he you know, here's.
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: A wild card, Dylan mulvaney, Right, just confuse him a
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: little bit.
- 1:03:32Speaker 12: And then then like half of the red states in
- 1:03:36Speaker 12: America are canceling aliens.
- 1:03:37Speaker 7: So right, if we can do that, are like.
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: Oh, we gotta get the fuck out of here. Let's
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: go to some other country. This is crazy. We can't
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: get canceled.
- 1:03:43Speaker 12: And then they go to China and then March fourteenth
- 1:03:46Speaker 12: comes way sooner than we thought.
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: Yeah, then they started helping him. You're right, we can't
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: send Dylan, that's a fun Uh, that's a fun question.
- 1:03:52Speaker 2: Who you said, jo droving the comments? Who who you'd
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: send to meet the alien president? You have you I'm
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: saying forty five? Yeah, not that, I not that I
- 1:04:03Speaker 2: we can not that.
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: I I not that I want him to die at all.
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: But also it's like, you know, you lose a soldier,
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: you're throwing somebody out there that can that's war.
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: Yeah, that's war. So you're gonna send forty five with you, oh,
- 1:04:20Speaker 2: with the option of losing them. You don't want to
- 1:04:22Speaker 2: lose your best soldiers too?
- 1:04:24Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, at what cost? Will they take Trump.
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: I listen, if we're going down, they're deciding then and there.
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: If we're going down.
- 1:04:35Speaker 10: Imagine Donald Trump is abducted by aliens and then he's
- 1:04:40Speaker 10: you know, he will find a way to get a
- 1:04:41Speaker 10: message back to America.
- 1:04:43Speaker 8: Look what I've done here.
- 1:04:47Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a good one.
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: It just sends back a message law and order. He's
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: trying to like rite in the stars. Yeah, Trump, would
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: your day's are numbered earth?
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: Yeah? Before we get into the Ryan Blading episode, Mitch,
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: you were on a two dimes in a token shout
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: out the boys. I feel like they're like a like
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: a like brand of Bust with the Boys.
- 1:05:11Speaker 8: In modern league system. It's like our Triple A.
- 1:05:14Speaker 5: Yeah, they're in the farm system.
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: They're in our farm system.
- 1:05:18Speaker 4: Yes, there was.
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: How was it? Did you enjoy it?
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: For everybody wanting to know what the episode's like, it
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: was a lot like that exchange.
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: I listened to the whole thing. Really good job. You
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: got to see behind the curtain of Mitch Carson and
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: his process of coming to Bust with the Boys.
- 1:05:33Speaker 5: How to take a peep behind the curge.
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: Yeah, I had no idea you were a fan of
- 1:05:36Speaker 2: the boys like that.
- 1:05:37Speaker 4: Yeah, I was. I was.
- 1:05:39Speaker 6: I mean it was miserable NASCAR, so I afford NASCAR
- 1:05:43Speaker 6: just catches strays.
- 1:05:45Speaker 9: Yeah, yeah, but NASCAR people are cool. My job was
- 1:05:51Speaker 9: not cool. I'll preface it that way, but yeah, it was.
- 1:05:54Speaker 9: I was a fan of you guys, like, uh, just
- 1:05:57Speaker 9: watching pods and stuff. And then Will ended up sparking this.
- 1:06:02Speaker 9: And then that text I got from Will was one
- 1:06:06Speaker 9: of the most wild texts I've ever received.
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: Well, he was explaining his interview process and he said
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: he was on zoom and JP was like, you were
- 1:06:14Speaker 2: your camera was off but it said JP Hovey and
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: it was you And He's like, yo, it's so crazy.
- 1:06:18Speaker 2: I'm talking to Will Compton right.
- 1:06:20Speaker 8: Well, when we sent him your LinkedIn profile po.
- 1:06:25Speaker 4: Yeah that And when I received that text, I'm like,
- 1:06:27Speaker 4: this is fake, no way.
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: Yeah, the next tie might have to be in the
- 1:06:30Speaker 2: corner of the room.
- 1:06:32Speaker 9: And uh but yeah, and then it was cool to
- 1:06:35Speaker 9: be in front of the camera rather than behind. But uh,
- 1:06:40Speaker 9: I mean he's super cool. Jack's been on before. I
- 1:06:43Speaker 9: think y'all two were going on soon. So yeah, shut out, broke.
- 1:06:48Speaker 2: Nasty Brooks, the main guy.
- 1:06:51Speaker 4: Is there anything you wanted to address with it bringing
- 1:06:53Speaker 4: it out.
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: Oh, I thought you, uh, you did your top three
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: most athletic, and I I thought you had to write
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: three people in there.
- 1:06:59Speaker 5: Who was it?
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: Us?
- 1:07:00Speaker 4: You have to go and watch it. You have to
- 1:07:02Speaker 4: go and watch it.
- 1:07:03Speaker 5: Damn.
- 1:07:03Speaker 2: He put you at two, put me at three.
- 1:07:05Speaker 9: I mean, if you want me to say, it was
- 1:07:07Speaker 9: me Will and then Taylor and then Jack was honorable mention.
- 1:07:14Speaker 2: I think right now, as we stand today, that's probably
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: I think that's probably a correct order five years ago.
- 1:07:23Speaker 4: No, I mean, yeah, it's different. I mean, your knees
- 1:07:25Speaker 4: are a bit bang.
- 1:07:26Speaker 2: I got shaky knees now, dude, there's nothing wrong with
- 1:07:28Speaker 2: I got shaky knee syndrome. Will worn and back things hurt.
- 1:07:32Speaker 4: Yeah, the youngest one here. So I mean, yeah, athletic.
- 1:07:36Speaker 8: We've seen you kick a soccer.
- 1:07:37Speaker 7: Ball, came to our gym, to this fast.
- 1:07:39Speaker 5: You ain't the most athletic. Mitch booth Camp.
- 1:07:41Speaker 12: Yeah, mich came to Booth Camp. Didn't run as much
- 1:07:44Speaker 12: as I thought he would, but he was there.
- 1:07:48Speaker 5: You didn't, Minch.
- 1:07:51Speaker 7: It's hilarious.
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: Laugh.
- 1:07:54Speaker 2: I know, was so disrespectful.
- 1:07:58Speaker 12: No, but you know what after Booth Camp, you know
- 1:08:02Speaker 12: it's a little stinky, a little hot, sweaty.
- 1:08:04Speaker 7: You know what I used.
- 1:08:07Speaker 5: Duke Cannon.
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: They have a collection of holiday products coming up that
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: men actually like. Give the boys something they deserve, like
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: a big ass lump of coal soap from Duke Cannon.
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: Duke Cannon's holiday gifts are made in the USA by humans,
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: not elves. These gifts aren't going to break the bank
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: and make the perfect gift for you and your boys,
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: your father in law, that cousin you can barely you
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: barely like. But they have a list of names and sense, Taylor,
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: do you want to run through these names?
- 1:08:33Speaker 4: Do you?
- 1:08:33Speaker 2: They got the big ass lump of coal soap, They
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: got the illegally cut pine soap, mal santus cough ser
- 1:08:39Speaker 2: of soap. They got so many more, dude, but they're
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: all holidays.
- 1:08:41Speaker 5: I love their little I love those names.
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: Thou also much deserved nightcapes, all brandy, homemade egg nog.
- 1:08:48Speaker 2: Whoops the daisies. That's a fun thing about Duke Cann.
- 1:08:50Speaker 2: You're getting fun sense and fun names.
- 1:08:52Speaker 5: Yeah, they bring out the theme.
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: They embrace the holiday, which is exactly what you want
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: out of a brand that works with us.
- 1:08:57Speaker 2: If you're looking at the boys right now, and you're thinking, boys,
- 1:08:59Speaker 2: how do I go? How do I get this stuff?
- 1:09:01Speaker 2: You can find their holiday soaps and gift sets at Target, Walmart,
- 1:09:03Speaker 2: or just go to Duke Cannon dot com. Here's the internet, boys.
- 1:09:06Speaker 5: But if you do go to Target, they'd have a
- 1:09:08Speaker 5: nice setup. Was the other day.
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: They have a nice setup, like the way they do
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: the soap stuff out there, the sense and the deodorance.
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: They got a legit setup. Like, yea, we are the
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: We're the big swinging dick on campus.
- 1:09:20Speaker 2: I like that.
- 1:09:21Speaker 10: Duke Cannon Titan special team coordinator has been relieved of
- 1:09:25Speaker 10: his duties.
- 1:09:28Speaker 8: No, according to Jim Wiatt.
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: I mean that's was it. I didn't get to catch it.
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: That's when I was flying back.
- 1:09:36Speaker 7: We lost Stonehouse completely.
- 1:09:38Speaker 12: Hannahill had laces out on a kick that we would
- 1:09:42Speaker 12: have won the game essentially because we went to ot
- 1:09:45Speaker 12: and so Stonehouse is the normal holder holder for the kicks,
- 1:09:49Speaker 12: and so he took a really like he might be
- 1:09:51Speaker 12: done for the season.
- 1:09:52Speaker 2: Yeah, that loves a bad hit. Did you see it looked.
- 1:09:54Speaker 12: Like the guy fall saints Like, Yeah, it wasn't good, but.
- 1:09:57Speaker 2: It like and came back in. Yeah, they went to
- 1:09:59Speaker 2: block a punt and his plantful was on the ground
- 1:10:02Speaker 2: and then like you could see the hyper extension and
- 1:10:04Speaker 2: then come back.
- 1:10:04Speaker 4: Dude.
- 1:10:05Speaker 5: It was tough.
- 1:10:06Speaker 2: Jeffrey Simmons got hurt there, Henry got knocked out.
- 1:10:08Speaker 7: Cushion protocol. It was a scary day, one of those days.
- 1:10:12Speaker 5: Oh, man, that sucks.
- 1:10:14Speaker 2: It's awk. Yeah, yeah, it's awk right. Such a good
- 1:10:18Speaker 2: dude too, I know.
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: Damn the Sun was just in the state championship last
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: week and he wanted me to send a little video.
- 1:10:25Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I sent a little video. I said
- 1:10:28Speaker 2: something like, uh, what.
- 1:10:30Speaker 5: Did I say? I said, my three keys are my
- 1:10:32Speaker 5: three things.
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: It was like, get the fight started, talk ship and
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: not too much, don't get in trouble.
- 1:10:36Speaker 5: And when you beat their ass.
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: I forget what the team's name was, but you walk
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: over it, you take your lettermans and you put it
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: on their women. I kind of preface. I was like,
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: hopefully I'm just talking to the locker room, no parents involved.
- 1:10:48Speaker 2: Get out, yeah, get out, wait five six seconds, just
- 1:10:51Speaker 2: us yeah ackerman. Man, that's tough, dude, great dude.
- 1:10:55Speaker 5: Yeah, God, that sucks.
- 1:10:57Speaker 6: Man.
- 1:10:57Speaker 5: You know you are getting to the you are getting
- 1:10:59Speaker 5: to the point.
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: It was like we were talking about like Rabeiz the
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: guy for the job, but you keep losing you in
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: this way like it's like all the assistants, all the
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: coordinators head on a swivel because you gotta change something up.
- 1:11:10Speaker 2: M Yeah.
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: Well, oh man, what a way to go out, What
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: a way to introdu this podcast. Ryan Blaney, he was awesome.
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: My favorite moment was when he was talking about getting
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: drunk at Dale Junior's talent.
- 1:11:21Speaker 5: So that's a great through the woods.
- 1:11:24Speaker 2: Yeah, just awesome.
- 1:11:25Speaker 5: Yeah, he was a good dude. I had a lot
- 1:11:26Speaker 5: of fun with him.
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: He was a voice on Cars Too, Carse three, Cars three, he's.
- 1:11:32Speaker 2: In Cars three, Magnum p I. He's done a lot
- 1:11:35Speaker 2: of cameos same Magnum p I as Eddie George was
- 1:11:38Speaker 2: in Also Wild. I watched a couple of clips In fact,
- 1:11:42Speaker 2: guy's got some ability. Yeah, and he knew how to
- 1:11:44Speaker 2: chop it up with the boys. Yeah, and that that's
- 1:11:45Speaker 2: always a weird thing for us when we're meeting somebody
- 1:11:48Speaker 2: we don't know a whole lot about, how are they
- 1:11:50Speaker 2: going to act as to get more gonna be me
- 1:11:52Speaker 2: and will having fun than trying to figure out questions.
- 1:11:54Speaker 2: It was a great conversation the whole way through. Man,
- 1:11:55Speaker 2: it was it was a really good time. We got
- 1:11:56Speaker 2: to him on a game.
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: Subscribe, drop comments, do all the things, big hugs, kisses,
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: big golf guy.
- 1:12:05Speaker 6: Yeah, I love, I love. I got to play out
- 1:12:07Speaker 6: there last earlier this year. Actually, really I hear it's awesome. Yeah,
- 1:12:11Speaker 6: it's nuts.
- 1:12:12Speaker 2: I heard that Troubadour is like a place that's like
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: country clubs for people that don't like country clubs.
- 1:12:17Speaker 6: Yeah, it's like, uh, well all those Discovery properties in
- 1:12:21Speaker 6: that way, right, Like there's one here and they us
- 1:12:24Speaker 6: I mean they're all over the world, but yeah, it's yeah,
- 1:12:27Speaker 6: like you said, country club for people who hate country clubs.
- 1:12:29Speaker 2: The whole new way to do it is.
- 1:12:30Speaker 5: It like that you get to not like dress down,
- 1:12:32Speaker 5: but you don't have to be.
- 1:12:34Speaker 2: You can dress however you want, just however you want.
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: Like Ernest goes out there and he'll be a no,
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: he's a Richland that's country club. Yeah, collared shirt, tucked in.
- 1:12:42Speaker 2: Yeah, you know he's a big boss though, Like yeah,
- 1:12:45Speaker 2: he's a he's a big swinging dictap.
- 1:12:47Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:12:47Speaker 2: Yeah, Like I got to make sure people know that
- 1:12:49Speaker 2: I have money and look at my twenty five thousand
- 1:12:50Speaker 2: dollars entry feet at this place. You part of a
- 1:12:52Speaker 2: counchy club, I am what a great way to start.
- 1:12:56Speaker 6: I know, I know, just an asshole atch club.
- 1:13:01Speaker 2: Yeah what uh? What? What got you in the country
- 1:13:03Speaker 2: club life? I know we're here for NASCAR And also,
- 1:13:05Speaker 2: by the way, I saw your clips on magnum p
- 1:13:06Speaker 2: I congratulations, thank you.
- 1:13:08Speaker 6: It's badass. I appreciate that. That was fun. What got
- 1:13:11Speaker 6: me into country clubes? Well, I really am not into
- 1:13:13Speaker 6: the country club scene. I'm more into just I like golfing.
- 1:13:16Speaker 6: So I like, you just needed to be like, I
- 1:13:19Speaker 6: just can't play public courses anymore. I mean everyone golfs now.
- 1:13:22Speaker 6: It's just it's like you're gonna you're gonna take five
- 1:13:24Speaker 6: hours to play golf.
- 1:13:24Speaker 5: I just can't do that. So how often you golf
- 1:13:26Speaker 5: throughout the year?
- 1:13:28Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 1:13:28Speaker 2: Race season gets tricky.
- 1:13:30Speaker 6: I try to go at least once a week maybe
- 1:13:32Speaker 6: if I usually I usually get like one day to
- 1:13:33Speaker 6: myself during the week and I'll try to get around in.
- 1:13:36Speaker 2: Yeah, but I don't like the country. I don't like
- 1:13:38Speaker 2: ever go in. I just go yeah, yeah, you go up, yeah,
- 1:13:41Speaker 2: get the cart rip around a little bit. What is like,
- 1:13:44Speaker 2: golf is a lot of drinking. Do you get some
- 1:13:46Speaker 2: drinking in while you're in race season?
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: While I'm racing season and the one day you have
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: all oh yeah, you get some drinking in game?
- 1:13:54Speaker 2: All right?
- 1:13:54Speaker 4: Oh?
- 1:13:55Speaker 6: Like if I had to go eight months during the
- 1:13:57Speaker 6: season without drinking, I don't know what I do.
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: Get after your team get after like there you guys.
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: Is the camaraderie.
- 1:14:02Speaker 6: H My boys are My twelve guys are absolutely just
- 1:14:06Speaker 6: to burn it down. They just got out here today
- 1:14:08Speaker 6: and I think they're still out on this. They're on
- 1:14:10Speaker 6: Broadway right now, just let it rip, getting after, be
- 1:14:12Speaker 6: on the parade float, and they're gonna I don't even
- 1:14:14Speaker 6: know what state they're gonna be in.
- 1:14:16Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:14:16Speaker 2: The pit crew guys, like the offensive line, they just
- 1:14:18Speaker 2: kind of seem like they get after it. Yeah, they're
- 1:14:20Speaker 2: just a rowdy cat.
- 1:14:21Speaker 6: My gas man he played for the Panthers for a
- 1:14:24Speaker 6: little bit. He was a tight end Conklin. Yeah, so
- 1:14:28Speaker 6: we have a few x NFL guys, We have some
- 1:14:31Speaker 6: baseball guys, all the you know, pit crew, over the
- 1:14:34Speaker 6: wall guys.
- 1:14:35Speaker 2: They're all ex athletes pretty much.
- 1:14:36Speaker 5: Yeah. Yeah, I wonder if Paul's here.
- 1:14:41Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know if he's here not.
- 1:14:42Speaker 5: I wonder if he's here.
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: He's somebody with this, like the first kind of person
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: we've kind of met in the NASCAR community that's really
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: embraces nothing but big dick energy.
- 1:14:50Speaker 5: Like just he's got the chest tear out. Yeah, he's
- 1:14:53Speaker 5: just his vibes. He wants to hit push ups.
- 1:14:55Speaker 2: Incredibly beautiful green eyes. Yeah, it's just like, oh god, yeah,
- 1:15:02Speaker 2: it always got a little bit of grease on him,
- 1:15:03Speaker 2: but it's kind of like they can't get placed for
- 1:15:05Speaker 2: you a little bit more. Yeah, it's just a wild man,
- 1:15:07Speaker 2: is he. When we met him, it was like, okay,
- 1:15:09Speaker 2: this is the guy he went to NASCAR two years ago?
- 1:15:10Speaker 5: Right, uh yeah, are you talking about we did?
- 1:15:13Speaker 2: No, just this is just to you because one year
- 1:15:14Speaker 2: I didn't make him, so two years ago he goes
- 1:15:16Speaker 2: He's like Paul Swanson, pul Swanson, you got to know
- 1:15:18Speaker 2: this guy. Paul swantson baked Dick energy. Just keeps talking
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: him up. And usually when you talk to your buddies
- 1:15:22Speaker 2: and you're like, hey, this is you put it up
- 1:15:24Speaker 2: here when you really experienced it, it's not as high
- 1:15:26Speaker 2: as a think. I met him and it almost exceeded,
- 1:15:29Speaker 2: exceeds it. The expectation is that does he have like
- 1:15:31Speaker 2: a legacy in the NASCAR world of being the guy,
- 1:15:34Speaker 2: the bake Dick energy guy. I know him, I don't know.
- 1:15:39Speaker 6: I know Paul fairly decent, but yeah, he's like that label.
- 1:15:43Speaker 2: Guy b d guy.
- 1:15:45Speaker 5: Yeah, there we go.
- 1:15:47Speaker 6: You'll walk down pit road before the race and like
- 1:15:49Speaker 6: they're setting up pistols and he'll have his fire suit
- 1:15:52Speaker 6: un zip.
- 1:15:54Speaker 2: Bro, that's awesome. I'm like, I love it. We were curious.
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: We're like, man, we wonder if Pulse one, if his
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: legacy goes outside of just we'll see if his brain,
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: if if he's known around the NASCAR community.
- 1:16:05Speaker 2: Yeah, literally thought to myselves, maybe we can get to
- 1:16:06Speaker 2: that part of the conversation. But why not start in
- 1:16:08Speaker 2: the first sixty seconds with on the podcast says about Paul. Yeah, immediately, Hey,
- 1:16:13Speaker 2: this is this is a shout out for him. It's
- 1:16:14Speaker 2: building his He's gonna love it. He's gonna be awesome
- 1:16:17Speaker 2: guy too.
- 1:16:17Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:16:18Speaker 2: Yeah, about he's about busting with a when you're in
- 1:16:20Speaker 2: the situation you were going into the cup and like
- 1:16:22Speaker 2: the four way tie type thing all that, Like how
- 1:16:25Speaker 2: do rivalries playing into that like, who is your big rival, Well,
- 1:16:28Speaker 2: you're like throughout your career four or through my career,
- 1:16:32Speaker 2: your career. Let's so we'll start there and we'll incrementally
- 1:16:34Speaker 2: go down.
- 1:16:35Speaker 6: I don't really know. I feel like like I don't
- 1:16:37Speaker 6: I've been lucky. I haven't had anyone like I really despise,
- 1:16:40Speaker 6: Like he'll have kind of run ins with some guys
- 1:16:42Speaker 6: every now and then some guys kind of they.
- 1:16:44Speaker 2: Will hate each other for years and years. I haven't
- 1:16:46Speaker 2: really been that way.
- 1:16:47Speaker 6: I'd say more my rivalry is like my buddies who
- 1:16:49Speaker 6: I grew up racing with, Like we're and we're all
- 1:16:51Speaker 6: good friends. You know, Chase Elliott and I, Bubba Wolston
- 1:16:54Speaker 6: and I we grew up together. You know, we started
- 1:16:55Speaker 6: racing together when we're like nine, ten years old. So
- 1:16:59Speaker 6: like they're kind of like arriving the.
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: Situation the same. You obviously come from a pedigree of
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: racers chases it. You know, Bill Elliott drove Chase his dad,
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: Bubba doesn't come from a racing family, Like his parents
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: never raced. He just started when he was young. And
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: he and I actually first started yea when we were
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: like ten years old together.
- 1:17:14Speaker 6: I remember us growing up together. But I feel like,
- 1:17:17Speaker 6: like that's my rivalry is my buddies.
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: You're just kind of like, yeah, you're just trying to
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: like maybe not be very loud about it, but let
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: you win.
- 1:17:24Speaker 6: And you're like, yeah, yeah, a little bit, but it's
- 1:17:26Speaker 6: not too bad. We all support each other, but you
- 1:17:28Speaker 6: want to beat those guys more than anyone else.
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: I think your buddies, yeah, do you have are there
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: guys that are just known like all this dude's an asshole?
- 1:17:35Speaker 6: I think I think we're all we can all be
- 1:17:38Speaker 6: that way. Yeah, and someone's what's been your asshole moment?
- 1:17:42Speaker 6: Swinging with helmets on, which they need to.
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: I think it is a little off, like as a fan,
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: like you know, listen, I'm a I'm a dumb NASCAR fan,
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: but when you see a couple of bumps in the road,
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: you're like, oh, yeah, you kind of want some demolition.
- 1:17:53Speaker 2: I want the Missouri. Oh yeah, the Missouri.
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, And uh, you guys obviously like there's like
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: some some lines that get crossed.
- 1:18:01Speaker 6: There are there are some lines that get crossed, but uh,
- 1:18:04Speaker 6: it just kind of depends on how like far you
- 1:18:07Speaker 6: cross that line.
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: What's here we go? We do uh, pet we do
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: pet peeves. We do like shout out no free shout
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: out pet peeve of the week. What's a pet peeve
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: in the NASCAR realm? To where you're just like, it's
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: just it's kind of an unspoken law that goes down
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: when crossed. You know, it's kind of legal. But also
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: it's like we all know that that's bullshit.
- 1:18:26Speaker 6: Oh man, that's a good question. Shit, solid question. That
- 1:18:29Speaker 6: is a good question. Like unwritten rule kind of stuff.
- 1:18:32Speaker 2: Yeah, Like in hockey, there's like things you should and
- 1:18:34Speaker 2: shouldn't do, but it's not.
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: In the r you might go up and say something
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: to somebody or get in their face knowing like he's
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: gonna you know, the like this it's not gonna make
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: any any sense to everybody else, but he knows what I'm.
- 1:18:45Speaker 6: Speaking to think, I think the more of it. It's
- 1:18:47Speaker 6: like the athletes that are involved, right, Like in the NFL,
- 1:18:50Speaker 6: you guys had stuff right like, all right, you don't
- 1:18:52Speaker 6: do this, you can do this, this is not cool.
- 1:18:54Speaker 6: And on the track, I feel like between drivers, yeah,
- 1:18:56Speaker 6: it's like like cheap shots right like run into somebody
- 1:19:00Speaker 6: dooring them on purpose, like for no reason. I'm sure
- 1:19:03Speaker 6: it's the same way as like getting a you know,
- 1:19:05Speaker 6: a leg block or something from the behind, something like
- 1:19:08Speaker 6: and like you know, going low, going low right and
- 1:19:12Speaker 6: hurting somebody, taking a chance to hurt somebody. I think
- 1:19:14Speaker 6: it's kind of the same way in our world, like athletes,
- 1:19:16Speaker 6: the drivers, you know what's fucked up and what's not right.
- 1:19:19Speaker 6: And I think it's the same with every sport. But yeah,
- 1:19:21Speaker 6: I think on the track, like if someone runs anything
- 1:19:24Speaker 6: you for no reason, you're like, well.
- 1:19:25Speaker 2: What the fuck?
- 1:19:26Speaker 5: Yeah? Have you? Have you done it before?
- 1:19:27Speaker 2: Oh?
- 1:19:27Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean you'll do it. I mean that's everyone.
- 1:19:30Speaker 6: Everyone does it, I mean, but it's I do it. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:19:34Speaker 6: I mean everyone does it. Everyone has those things. They're like,
- 1:19:36Speaker 6: it's kind of messed up. I do it, but I
- 1:19:37Speaker 6: do it anyway.
- 1:19:38Speaker 2: What is there a specific situation in your career, Like
- 1:19:40Speaker 2: I'm intentionally gonna do something here because it's been pissing
- 1:19:43Speaker 2: me off.
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: And afterwards you're like, I shouldn't done, but emotions were high,
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: and I I.
- 1:19:47Speaker 6: Would say I've said things I wish I didn't say.
- 1:19:50Speaker 6: I don't think I've not that I can think of
- 1:19:52Speaker 6: right now, like done an action that I'm like I
- 1:19:54Speaker 6: should have done that. I feel like it's more things
- 1:19:56Speaker 6: you say, like maybe you shouldn't have said that. What's
- 1:19:59Speaker 6: something you said, Oh just like fuck that guy or
- 1:20:01Speaker 6: like that guy's dick or something you know, like but
- 1:20:03Speaker 6: uh as far as like actions like I don't think
- 1:20:05Speaker 6: I've ever done anything I regret that, Yeah, but words,
- 1:20:08Speaker 6: I feel like you can regret pretty easy because.
- 1:20:10Speaker 2: When in NASCAR you can go I want to to
- 1:20:12Speaker 2: the pr as a kid with my grandparents. They're big
- 1:20:14Speaker 2: in a NASCAR and the you can get like the
- 1:20:16Speaker 2: walkie talkies or like the little monitors with the headphones. Yeah,
- 1:20:19Speaker 2: where you can listen to the pit crews. Are there
- 1:20:21Speaker 2: like two different like wavelengths or whatever they are of
- 1:20:23Speaker 2: different channels. No, you would have been if you've I've
- 1:20:26Speaker 2: been able to listen to you as year old could
- 1:20:27Speaker 2: go fuck that guy drivers. Yeah, yeah, you've been here. Yeah.
- 1:20:31Speaker 6: So if you've rant a radio as a fan, yeah,
- 1:20:33Speaker 6: you'll be able to hear anyone you want to hear,
- 1:20:35Speaker 6: and hear all the good stuff, the unfiltered that's what
- 1:20:38Speaker 6: you want, would be, that's what you want. Yeah, it's
- 1:20:40Speaker 6: like hot bikes, right, like when NBA and NFL do
- 1:20:43Speaker 6: the hot mic stuff like I listened, I like listen
- 1:20:45Speaker 6: to that, and I feel like it's the same.
- 1:20:46Speaker 2: Way with radios with us. When you were you said,
- 1:20:49Speaker 2: like you started racing a nine ten years old. Obviously
- 1:20:50Speaker 2: you can't get a driver's license to you're sixteen, but
- 1:20:53Speaker 2: you come from a pedigree like when you were born
- 1:20:55Speaker 2: growing up were you're just like, I'm gonna be a racer.
- 1:20:58Speaker 2: That's what I'm gonna do. Was that like the number
- 1:20:59Speaker 2: one goal your whole life?
- 1:21:00Speaker 6: I mean I grew up around it, you know, Dad
- 1:21:03Speaker 6: racing before I was born, So I just grew up
- 1:21:06Speaker 6: around that stuff and I wanted to do it.
- 1:21:09Speaker 2: But like my dad never pushed me to do anything.
- 1:21:11Speaker 2: Dad was always do you want to do it?
- 1:21:13Speaker 6: And I remember like every step we took, like into
- 1:21:15Speaker 6: different cards or seriously, like do you sure you want
- 1:21:17Speaker 6: to do this? Because it's a big commitment, right if
- 1:21:19Speaker 6: you're gonna half ass through something while you're doing it.
- 1:21:21Speaker 2: So Dad was always good at that. So yeah, I
- 1:21:24Speaker 2: was lucky.
- 1:21:24Speaker 6: It's always what I wanted to do because I just
- 1:21:26Speaker 6: wanted to do what my dad did, and I was
- 1:21:28Speaker 6: really lucky to be able to do it. But I
- 1:21:29Speaker 6: never didn't really want I played other sports, but I
- 1:21:32Speaker 6: was I faced facts like, hey, I was like five
- 1:21:35Speaker 6: six un till I got to high school or until
- 1:21:37Speaker 6: I graduated high school. I'm like, and I played basketball
- 1:21:39Speaker 6: in that time. Baseball was like, all right, I have
- 1:21:41Speaker 6: to list my career opportunities. I'm gonna be like five nine,
- 1:21:45Speaker 6: I can't jump very high. You know, Racing's probably gonna
- 1:21:49Speaker 6: be my career color for other sports, right, hockey, football, basketball,
- 1:21:56Speaker 6: I'm not physically adequate enough to do that. So I'm like, oh,
- 1:22:00Speaker 6: I want to go through the racing side. And I'm
- 1:22:01Speaker 6: pretty good at the racing stuff, and I wasn't very
- 1:22:03Speaker 6: good at the other stuff either.
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: So yeah, how sick is it that you did want
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: to do this your whole life and now you're you
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: were the twenty twenty three NASCAR Cup Series champion.
- 1:22:13Speaker 2: Well it's you know, it's neat. Are I growing up
- 1:22:15Speaker 2: around it?
- 1:22:15Speaker 6: And I admired those guys who you know, were champions
- 1:22:18Speaker 6: because I was at the track with my dad and
- 1:22:19Speaker 6: I got to be around those guys, you know, the
- 1:22:21Speaker 6: Jimmy Johnson's and Jeff Gordon's and all those guys, and
- 1:22:25Speaker 6: just wanted to be that that person.
- 1:22:26Speaker 2: So it's yes, it's kind of hard to believe.
- 1:22:28Speaker 6: You know, if you have a dream as a kid
- 1:22:29Speaker 6: and you finally accomplish it and you're like, damn, it's
- 1:22:32Speaker 6: kind of will come full circle, and then you think
- 1:22:33Speaker 6: back on all the people that helped you out along.
- 1:22:36Speaker 2: The way, and it's, uh, yeah, it's definitely a neat feeling. Yeah,
- 1:22:39Speaker 2: it's yeah, I love that stuff when you're when you're
- 1:22:41Speaker 2: a kid, obviously you look up to your dad, But
- 1:22:43Speaker 2: was there a driver that you're like almost would make
- 1:22:45Speaker 2: your dad feel like, man, he thinks that guy's cool
- 1:22:47Speaker 2: with me?
- 1:22:48Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean I loved you know, Jimmy Johnson, Jeff Gordon,
- 1:22:51Speaker 6: Tony Stewart, Matt Kenzith. You know, those guys were kind
- 1:22:53Speaker 6: of like the guys I loved besides my dad.
- 1:22:55Speaker 2: You know, I loved watching those guys.
- 1:22:57Speaker 5: Right, you gis what kind of bus you're sitting on?
- 1:22:59Speaker 10: Right?
- 1:23:01Speaker 2: It's the what bus?
- 1:23:02Speaker 10: Is it?
- 1:23:03Speaker 2: Number eight? Dale Ear and Hard is it?
- 1:23:05Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 1:23:05Speaker 2: It's the Junior bus.
- 1:23:06Speaker 6: Yeah, I see her. You got a Gordon sticker? You
- 1:23:08Speaker 6: got Kansas sticker. This bus actually used to go to Tailgates.
- 1:23:12Speaker 2: Really, we found it in the back of a Wedgewood
- 1:23:14Speaker 2: Houston parking lot down and everything. But he used to
- 1:23:16Speaker 2: travel to all the NASCAR events. That's bad ass. A
- 1:23:18Speaker 2: lot of history in here. Yeah. So not a Dale
- 1:23:20Speaker 2: or a hard junior fan. No, I love Dale?
- 1:23:22Speaker 6: Yeah yeah, yeah.
- 1:23:23Speaker 2: I was usually with Dale. Say something nice about Dale.
- 1:23:26Speaker 2: I lived. I lived on Dale's property for like three years.
- 1:23:29Speaker 2: Is it the farm? Is it like the old like yeah,
- 1:23:32Speaker 2: weird stories.
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: Right across the woods from there. So he was gonna
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: invite us to invite us to that, like what last year?
- 1:23:37Speaker 12: The town?
- 1:23:38Speaker 5: Every year he invites us.
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: But you know you got to the town, the Whiskey
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: River town. Yeah yeah that was lived there for three years.
- 1:23:43Speaker 6: I lived there. Yeah, so funnest time in my life.
- 1:23:46Speaker 6: I was like a rookie in the Cup Series. I'm
- 1:23:49Speaker 6: twenty one years old, living by myself in my house.
- 1:23:52Speaker 6: I'm renting for the first time, and like Dale's a
- 1:23:56Speaker 6: thousand yards through the woods and Dale was still racing
- 1:23:58Speaker 6: the time. So we would get done with these races
- 1:24:00Speaker 6: on Sunday night, get home at ten ten thirty, and
- 1:24:03Speaker 6: I would go drive a four wheeler through the woods
- 1:24:05Speaker 6: to Dale's house and get absolutely wrecked, like six hours
- 1:24:09Speaker 6: and then one eye a four wheeler through the woods
- 1:24:11Speaker 6: back to my place. That was like the funnest years
- 1:24:14Speaker 6: of my life. So Dale is Yeah, Dale's so much fun,
- 1:24:16Speaker 6: and yeah, it's cool. This is the eight bus.
- 1:24:18Speaker 4: It's big.
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: H Yeah, you rattled off names. I was like, oh,
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: head sad Dale, yet I wonder no, I okay, sorry, Dale.
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: I was a big fan of awesome. To me, that
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: is awesome taking a four.
- 1:24:27Speaker 2: Wheeler, just whipping through like I'm gonna go over to
- 1:24:30Speaker 2: eat your buddy's house. I'm gonna get out of here,
- 1:24:32Speaker 2: like I was going through the woods, no worries. I mean,
- 1:24:34Speaker 2: I'm just in the woods. I'm driving through the trails.
- 1:24:36Speaker 2: It's all good. Did you get lost? I think the
- 1:24:38Speaker 2: first time I did it, I got lost.
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: Everything looks the same the woods, and it's dark and
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: I'm seeing eight of everything.
- 1:24:45Speaker 2: So it was full. The number two it was. It
- 1:24:47Speaker 2: was rough.
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: He's the whiskey town, and it seems like it exeeds
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: the hype it already gets.
- 1:24:52Speaker 2: Yeah, it's it's slowed down a little bit.
- 1:24:54Speaker 4: You know.
- 1:24:55Speaker 6: I got a couple of kids now, so it's it's
- 1:24:56Speaker 6: slowing down. But uh, there was some wild stuff that
- 1:24:59Speaker 6: happened and uh in the town that was that.
- 1:25:01Speaker 2: I can't say. I can't say, oh that is awesome.
- 1:25:06Speaker 2: You brought up a guy his name and I'm not
- 1:25:08Speaker 2: super well versus NASCAR, but Tony Stewart, Yeah, he was
- 1:25:11Speaker 2: considered a shit stirr kind of guy, right, bit was that.
- 1:25:13Speaker 14: Who Dale would get after with when he almost swung
- 1:25:16Speaker 14: on somebody going to the literally going to pr with
- 1:25:19Speaker 14: my grandparents and being like Tony Stewart, that guy's a
- 1:25:21Speaker 14: piece of shit, remember, like, yeah, Grandpa, absolutely, I have
- 1:25:24Speaker 14: literally and I just that always stuck with me.
- 1:25:26Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:25:28Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, Tony was. I mean he had he was
- 1:25:30Speaker 6: a fiery personality. He was always great to me and
- 1:25:33Speaker 6: my family every Like I was a little tiny kid
- 1:25:35Speaker 6: and I remember him being great to me, and he
- 1:25:38Speaker 6: was awesome to race with. But yeah, he had that
- 1:25:41Speaker 6: fire in him, and I think like in the early
- 1:25:42Speaker 6: two thousands he was like the height of like him
- 1:25:46Speaker 6: getting into a bunch of disagreements.
- 1:25:48Speaker 2: But uh, Tony's a good guy. He's the hell person.
- 1:25:51Speaker 2: When you were grown up, did you always want to
- 1:25:52Speaker 2: drive for Ford?
- 1:25:53Speaker 6: I didn't really care who I drove for honestly, growing up,
- 1:25:56Speaker 6: like you know, you're just trying to make it. You're
- 1:25:58Speaker 6: just trying to have a job, and you know, we
- 1:26:01Speaker 6: got I've been with Ford for the last ten years now,
- 1:26:04Speaker 6: twenty thirteen, we started working with them and they've been fantastic.
- 1:26:06Speaker 6: So I really haven't worked with anybody at the professional
- 1:26:09Speaker 6: level like a Toyota or Chevy, you know, I know,
- 1:26:14Speaker 6: unfortunately I see the siginback here, but no, Ford's been
- 1:26:17Speaker 6: you know, They've been great family to me. And but yeah,
- 1:26:19Speaker 6: as a kid, I didn't really care, but now obviously
- 1:26:22Speaker 6: you do. But I just wanted to have a job.
- 1:26:26Speaker 6: As a kid, I don't care who I drove for.
- 1:26:27Speaker 5: How do how do you make it?
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: I apologize for being an idiot on this on all
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: the racing NASCAR, but I also enjoy because I feel
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: like a newborn learning a lot of new stuff. How
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: do you make it professionally in ASCAR? Like what's the
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: Obviously with football, you get drafted.
- 1:26:40Speaker 2: You go play high school and new go to college
- 1:26:42Speaker 2: and hopefully get drafted. Yeah, pretty linear.
- 1:26:44Speaker 6: Yeah, I feel like the steps are a little bit different.
- 1:26:47Speaker 6: There's a lot of similarities. Was like we have Little League, right,
- 1:26:51Speaker 6: Like there's local tiny trail like I started when I
- 1:26:54Speaker 6: was nine, so like go karts, all those stuff. You know,
- 1:26:57Speaker 6: that's just like a little league kid getting going right
- 1:27:00Speaker 6: ball or something. And so there's different steps you take
- 1:27:03Speaker 6: as you get older. I'd say, like our you know,
- 1:27:06Speaker 6: triple A Double A is like trucks or Exfinity Series,
- 1:27:10Speaker 6: and then you hope you get noticed and you make
- 1:27:11Speaker 6: it up to the big leagues, you know of the
- 1:27:13Speaker 6: Cup series, And so I think it's some of it's similar.
- 1:27:16Speaker 6: You're not going to school for this stuff, like there's
- 1:27:18Speaker 6: no scholarships for it. But yeah, it's just having good
- 1:27:21Speaker 6: people around you, good sponsors.
- 1:27:22Speaker 2: Obviously you are huge on.
- 1:27:23Speaker 6: It, and but yeah, there's feeder series that you have
- 1:27:26Speaker 6: to do well in to get noticed by an owner
- 1:27:28Speaker 6: and give you a job.
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: So and I wonder what it's like too, Like if
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: somebody's got like an instinct or an eye for driving,
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: but they're just not in a faster vehicle like in
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: the Infinity of Like you're trying to get noticed, but
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: you're not winning even those events. But how somebody that
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: has it might not get identified just because they might
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: not have the good the right environment or people.
- 1:27:50Speaker 2: It happens all the time.
- 1:27:51Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean there's people that I think are great
- 1:27:53Speaker 6: race car drivers, but they haven't gotten the shot that
- 1:27:56Speaker 6: they I think they deserve. And that's at any level,
- 1:27:58Speaker 6: whether it's the NASCAR level you're in a lower tier
- 1:28:01Speaker 6: car or the local short track level. I know guys,
- 1:28:04Speaker 6: so I grew up racing with that or or twice
- 1:28:06Speaker 6: my age that were unbelievable race car drivers, but they
- 1:28:09Speaker 6: just never got a shot.
- 1:28:10Speaker 2: Yeah, that stuff happens all the time. Obviously you're very
- 1:28:13Speaker 2: proven at this point. But when you were coming up,
- 1:28:16Speaker 2: did you feel like he got maybe like a little
- 1:28:18Speaker 2: more of a help at hand from your dad. Yeah.
- 1:28:21Speaker 6: You know when I was when I started, you know,
- 1:28:23Speaker 6: Dad was still racing when I started racing, and really
- 1:28:26Speaker 6: really through my mid late teenage years, Dad was still racing.
- 1:28:29Speaker 6: So he wasn't at every track with me every weekend.
- 1:28:32Speaker 6: He had his own jobs. So but I did feel like,
- 1:28:36Speaker 6: you know, growing up, it's like, oh, that's Blaney's kid,
- 1:28:39Speaker 6: you know, that's Dave's son. See how he is, right?
- 1:28:42Speaker 6: Is he worth the shit or something like that, And
- 1:28:44Speaker 6: so yeah, I think there was a little bit of
- 1:28:45Speaker 6: that pressure. It's like, all right, I got to live
- 1:28:47Speaker 6: up to what my dad can do and you know,
- 1:28:49Speaker 6: try to make it like he did.
- 1:28:50Speaker 2: So there was a little bit that as a kid,
- 1:28:52Speaker 2: but I think you.
- 1:28:52Speaker 6: Grow out of it, Like as you get older, you
- 1:28:54Speaker 6: realize you're your own person and you kind of do
- 1:28:56Speaker 6: things your own way and start living by life instead
- 1:29:00Speaker 6: of your like your parents, right or someone who came
- 1:29:02Speaker 6: before you.
- 1:29:03Speaker 2: Was that a difficult process to get to that point though,
- 1:29:05Speaker 2: fighting them pressure and then being like, Okay, I gotta
- 1:29:07Speaker 2: be my own self here in this same avenue that
- 1:29:09Speaker 2: my father made a little bit.
- 1:29:10Speaker 6: I feel like there was always you felt like there
- 1:29:12Speaker 6: was always so many eyes on you, like I gotta
- 1:29:14Speaker 6: do good, I gotta prove myself and I don't want
- 1:29:16Speaker 6: to look like a clown. So I feel like, yeah,
- 1:29:18Speaker 6: that was a big thing growing up, trying to overcome
- 1:29:21Speaker 6: that as a kid.
- 1:29:22Speaker 2: That's hard to overcome.
- 1:29:23Speaker 6: You know, you're already kind of shy and nervous as
- 1:29:24Speaker 6: a kid, and yeah, and then you have all these
- 1:29:26Speaker 6: eyes on you and you're having to prove yourself and
- 1:29:27Speaker 6: live up to expectations that that can be a lot
- 1:29:29Speaker 6: of on a kid, and luckily it all worked out.
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: Was it one of those things too, like when you
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: would win and if you're if your doubt your old
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: man wasn't there like you're you're calling to be like, hey, one, Dad.
- 1:29:39Speaker 6: Is the first guy I call after every race even nowadays,
- 1:29:42Speaker 6: Like it's just how that's how it's been for twenty years.
- 1:29:44Speaker 6: And that's just how it is, you know. So it's
- 1:29:46Speaker 6: just and it's the role has changed over the years.
- 1:29:49Speaker 6: Like I used to call my dad for advice, and
- 1:29:50Speaker 6: now it's just calling him just to call him, you know,
- 1:29:52Speaker 6: and uh and talk to him. Just it's almost routine.
- 1:29:55Speaker 6: So yeah, he's still the first one on my phone,
- 1:29:58Speaker 6: So that is cool. Your dad was in his prime, now,
- 1:30:00Speaker 6: who would win in the race. I've always thought my
- 1:30:02Speaker 6: dad was the best race car driver I've ever seen.
- 1:30:04Speaker 6: I think whether that's just a son and me, you know,
- 1:30:07Speaker 6: admiring your parents, I think Dad's the best one that's
- 1:30:09Speaker 6: ever lived, you know, And that's just how it's always been.
- 1:30:11Speaker 6: So I feel like if Dad was in his prime,
- 1:30:14Speaker 6: if we were both thirty years old going at it,
- 1:30:16Speaker 6: I feel like he would he would really he would
- 1:30:18Speaker 6: beat me. He would tell you opposite, he would tell
- 1:30:20Speaker 6: you that I would beat him. But yeah, Dad to
- 1:30:23Speaker 6: me is will always and uh always has been, always
- 1:30:26Speaker 6: will be the best one out there.
- 1:30:27Speaker 5: Who would want to anybody back there have an idea
- 1:30:31Speaker 5: that's good.
- 1:30:32Speaker 2: Put him on the spot. Yeah, yeah, yeah, like you
- 1:30:34Speaker 2: would wonder if somebody back there like oh you know yeah,
- 1:30:37Speaker 2: actually right, wouldn't stayed a chance.
- 1:30:41Speaker 6: Dave's got that. My dad still races. My dad's sixty
- 1:30:44Speaker 6: one and he still races dirt sprint cars.
- 1:30:46Speaker 2: That's badass. Yeah, he gets wire. Yeah, because there is
- 1:30:49Speaker 2: that I feel like with father son. I have two girls,
- 1:30:51Speaker 2: but father son like dynamics. There's always like a point
- 1:30:53Speaker 2: in life where it's like kid beats you in shooting hoops,
- 1:30:55Speaker 2: kid beats you on air hockey or something.
- 1:30:57Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:30:57Speaker 6: Yeah, do you guys ever have one of those moments? Yeah.
- 1:31:01Speaker 6: We were a big ping pong family in my household,
- 1:31:03Speaker 6: and I remember I got to the age I started
- 1:31:04Speaker 6: beating my dad in ping pong and like horse, you know,
- 1:31:08Speaker 6: and I had the basketball and it just grinded his gears.
- 1:31:11Speaker 4: You know.
- 1:31:12Speaker 5: I feel like ping pong.
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: I've seen father sons go at it and like when
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: the sun's taken over, like is painful for the old man.
- 1:31:19Speaker 6: Yeah, I feel like that's anything. Your girls might do
- 1:31:21Speaker 6: it to you when they start beating you in anything,
- 1:31:22Speaker 6: You're like.
- 1:31:22Speaker 2: Gosh, I'll make sure make sure you guys when we
- 1:31:26Speaker 2: go on the field and block when we can beat me,
- 1:31:28Speaker 2: get the.
- 1:31:29Speaker 5: Pads on, yeah, get the pads on.
- 1:31:31Speaker 2: We're gonna one on one, Yeah, one on ones. Outside.
- 1:31:34Speaker 1: What's been the biggest win outside of being the NASCAR
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: Cups of your champion, The biggest win of your career
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: where you feel like, yo, I'm on my way. Biggest
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: moments where you've had the biggest high of winning.
- 1:31:48Speaker 2: Yeah, you know. I feel like it's either your first one.
- 1:31:50Speaker 6: I won my first Cup race in twenty seventeen, so
- 1:31:53Speaker 6: I feel like, you know, then it's like, all right,
- 1:31:55Speaker 6: I feel like I'm kind of here right. It was
- 1:31:57Speaker 6: my second year in the NASCAR deal, and I'm like,
- 1:32:00Speaker 6: all right, I feel like I'm kind of established, like
- 1:32:02Speaker 6: I finally won a race. All that Either that one
- 1:32:04Speaker 6: or we wanted Martinsville to get us to Phoenix this year.
- 1:32:08Speaker 6: I grew up just south of martins Ville, Virginia.
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: That was like a home track for me, So I
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: think winning winning at my home track went in there
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: to get to Phoenix.
- 1:32:18Speaker 6: That's won us a championship. I was pretty fired up
- 1:32:20Speaker 6: on that one. So I think either either one of
- 1:32:21Speaker 6: those two is uh his top one?
- 1:32:24Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 1:32:24Speaker 2: How high up is uh? Talladigan Knights on your list
- 1:32:26Speaker 2: of movies? It's up there.
- 1:32:28Speaker 6: I like Talladegan Knights, I really do. I usually tell
- 1:32:30Speaker 6: people it's ninety five percent true.
- 1:32:31Speaker 2: Oh really, I love.
- 1:32:33Speaker 6: That Talladegan Knights accurate. I'm like ninety five percent of it. Yeah,
- 1:32:38Speaker 6: my life based on my life? Yeah, actually, yeah.
- 1:32:41Speaker 2: What's that? What's the five percent? When he's in the
- 1:32:44Speaker 2: wheelchair partail, like he doesn't have his legs, don't.
- 1:32:46Speaker 6: Work, all the shifting, all the shifting, yeah, or John
- 1:32:50Speaker 6: Gerard drinking a fucking machiato or something while he's out
- 1:32:53Speaker 6: the race.
- 1:32:53Speaker 2: Remember now, you never do a shaking bake out there,
- 1:32:56Speaker 2: shaking bake. You guys got cool hit jacks sometimes, yeah, buddies,
- 1:32:59Speaker 2: A few of us have cool handshake. If you want
- 1:33:01Speaker 2: to be the racer you claim to be, you need
- 1:33:02Speaker 2: to have a secret handshake with every one of the
- 1:33:04Speaker 2: guys in your picture. It's like like Lebron has it
- 1:33:07Speaker 2: with every Guyn's team. Yeah. It's like, I don't want
- 1:33:08Speaker 2: to back to see Josh Allen with the bills. He's
- 1:33:10Speaker 2: dapping everybody up doing all these cool things. I don't
- 1:33:12Speaker 2: know how they learned that.
- 1:33:12Speaker 6: It's like they're throwing gang signs out there. So many
- 1:33:14Speaker 6: people on the roster, how do you remember all the handshakes?
- 1:33:17Speaker 6: Did you guys have handshakes with everyone on your roster?
- 1:33:19Speaker 6: A couple, we got one. It's just a little that's a.
- 1:33:23Speaker 2: Little small, a little bit more. It's a more elaborate one.
- 1:33:26Speaker 2: We haven't seen us see each other for a long time.
- 1:33:28Speaker 2: There's a big hug involved.
- 1:33:29Speaker 6: It's yea yeah, specially choreograph it though, like you practiced
- 1:33:32Speaker 6: it and everything.
- 1:33:33Speaker 2: Yeah, my daughters and I we have secret handshakes. Nice. Yeah, nice.
- 1:33:36Speaker 2: I think maybe with my kids I'll when I do
- 1:33:38Speaker 2: have them all.
- 1:33:39Speaker 5: Yeah, make a handshake.
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: You were talking earlier, you said sometimes on the shake
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: and bake, that stuff happens.
- 1:33:44Speaker 2: We don't, like say.
- 1:33:46Speaker 1: Cart if team members are out there and it's like
- 1:33:50Speaker 1: you know right right yeah, yeah, Ryan's got the faster car.
- 1:33:54Speaker 5: Yes, sling shot Yeah, yeah, I guess you're right.
- 1:33:56Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, you see your boys said each other up.
- 1:33:58Speaker 1: Man, you know what you you got the gas like yuh,
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: I gotta hit the pits soon, but I'll ride you
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: out so that way.
- 1:34:03Speaker 5: You can climb up.
- 1:34:03Speaker 6: No, I mean we're like, we don't talk to each
- 1:34:05Speaker 6: other during the race, like if us three were drivers, Like,
- 1:34:08Speaker 6: I can't talk to you what like we'll just different teams,
- 1:34:10Speaker 6: different radio track can Jim.
- 1:34:12Speaker 2: In Bay Ryan, you're doing to help a job?
- 1:34:13Speaker 5: Man?
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: I hold these boys off back here? No you can't
- 1:34:15Speaker 1: do that, guy, we need you. Uh no, Well, we
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: can't talk to each other on the radios. Different drivers.
- 1:34:23Speaker 12: But the.
- 1:34:25Speaker 2: Would you say the sling shot.
- 1:34:26Speaker 1: Yeah, there's a variation of it, like if we go
- 1:34:30Speaker 1: to like Twadegg or something like drafting tracks, Like you'll
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: see people do that, but you're not, like it's not choreographed.
- 1:34:35Speaker 2: Is like when you say drafting when you say drafting tracks? Yeah,
- 1:34:38Speaker 2: is that like longer straightaways? Yeah? Yeah, then you get
- 1:34:41Speaker 2: the speeds up eg yeah yeah yeah big Those are
- 1:34:44Speaker 2: kind of tracks you like the race. What's the perfect
- 1:34:47Speaker 2: race for you? You're like, yes, I'm going to my
- 1:34:49Speaker 2: spot here.
- 1:34:49Speaker 6: The short tracks are great, like Martinsville, like a tiny
- 1:34:52Speaker 6: half mile, like that's a tiny race track. The bigger one,
- 1:34:55Speaker 6: I mean we are tracks range from half mile to
- 1:34:56Speaker 6: two and a half miles, so massive differences Like which
- 1:35:00Speaker 6: one did you go to?
- 1:35:01Speaker 4: I remember P I R.
- 1:35:02Speaker 2: And the one in Nashville. Oh okay, okay, yeah, so
- 1:35:04Speaker 2: they're p I R in Nashville.
- 1:35:06Speaker 6: They're like just over a mile, so you imagine these
- 1:35:08Speaker 6: places are over twice the size of like Nashville. Yeah,
- 1:35:12Speaker 6: these big, big places. Yeah, that's where you see that
- 1:35:13Speaker 6: a little bit more.
- 1:35:14Speaker 2: And you like the short tracks, Like from a technical standpoint,
- 1:35:16Speaker 2: isn't more difficult? Technical?
- 1:35:18Speaker 6: Yeah, the better driver shows out in the shorter tracks. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:35:20Speaker 6: I think so, and and all of us grew up
- 1:35:22Speaker 6: racing those.
- 1:35:24Speaker 2: Oh you're kind of cooking right now, working I'm get
- 1:35:27Speaker 2: behind the wheel. You might, you might do it. You
- 1:35:29Speaker 2: gotta get out tall.
- 1:35:30Speaker 6: No, you are taller than I thought you'd be, though,
- 1:35:32Speaker 6: seven brother, Yeah, it's a lot of lengths.
- 1:35:34Speaker 2: You were like six three. I was hoping that. Actually,
- 1:35:36Speaker 2: like six seven to me is like kind of like
- 1:35:38Speaker 2: zoo animal worthy. It's like, well it's too tall to me, right, Yeah,
- 1:35:41Speaker 2: I think that's six two six three ranges is yeah, perfect.
- 1:35:43Speaker 2: Like once you're out of your sport, right like now,
- 1:35:45Speaker 2: I'm just kind of like this neanderthal walking around the earth.
- 1:35:48Speaker 2: Well and then and everyone sees you out at the bar,
- 1:35:49Speaker 2: You're like everyone comes, probably comes out to you, like,
- 1:35:51Speaker 2: what do you do? You gotta do something? Yeah, how
- 1:35:54Speaker 2: do you play for? Yeah? The good news is I
- 1:35:56Speaker 2: was able to play for a team. I think about
- 1:35:58Speaker 2: those guys that are my height that didn't make it,
- 1:36:00Speaker 2: and it's like, you just got to go your whole
- 1:36:01Speaker 2: life telling people no, I never played sports.
- 1:36:03Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: Yeah, And that's kind of a nice little dub for
- 1:36:04Speaker 1: me to walk around it. And I've also lost sixty pounds.
- 1:36:06Speaker 2: People are like you look, you look familiar. Yeah, you
- 1:36:09Speaker 2: play basketball. Yeah. I got baseball in Vegas a couple
- 1:36:11Speaker 2: of weeks ago. Really baseball I got. I got to

- 1:36:15Speaker 2: gotta we gotta put some lpies on.
- 1:36:17Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:36:17Speaker 2: Well I notice your left handed. Are you a pitcher? Yeah?
- 1:36:21Speaker 2: From organized sports? Did you ever play them?
- 1:36:24Speaker 4: Did you ever want to do them? Yeah?
- 1:36:25Speaker 2: I played baseball. I played basketball. I loved it.
- 1:36:27Speaker 6: I love playing basketball the most. Probably my my uncle,
- 1:36:30Speaker 6: so my dad's brother, he's six', four he Was he's
