- 0:13Speaker 1: Hello you guys, Welcome back to another episode of the
- 0:16Speaker 1: Hawkerel Energy Podcast. I'm your host, Kayleie, and this is
- 0:19Speaker 1: your weekly reminder that it's a new day, a new week,
- 0:22Speaker 1: a new mindset, and another day for you to become
- 0:24Speaker 1: the Hawtrel Energy you want to attract. Hello you guys,
- 0:27Speaker 1: Happy Wednesday. It has been a while since I've recorded.
- 0:32Speaker 1: The last episode I recorded was the episode with Zach
- 0:36Speaker 1: for our Weddings Dues and don't when it comes to
- 0:39Speaker 1: just kind of like wedding regrets, things that we loved
- 0:41Speaker 1: about our wedding, things that we didn't like, all that.
- 0:45Speaker 1: But we did have a bit of a glitch with
- 0:47Speaker 1: Apple Podcasts. So last week I was honestly putting so
- 0:50Speaker 1: much energy towards contacting Apple support and just trying to
- 0:54Speaker 1: figure out how to get the episode live on Apple Podcasts.
- 0:57Speaker 1: Some of you actually messaged me asking if I was
- 1:00Speaker 1: only going to be on Spotify moving forward. Like you
- 1:02Speaker 1: guys were just confused as to why the episode was
- 1:04Speaker 1: only uploaded on there but nowhere else. So just know
- 1:07Speaker 1: that there was technically a glitch in the uploading process
- 1:11Speaker 1: and I had to do anyways, all this background work
- 1:13Speaker 1: last week to get it up. So we're back up
- 1:16Speaker 1: and running this week. So I apologize for no episode
- 1:19Speaker 1: last week, but we are back today with some very
- 1:22Speaker 1: exciting news that I'm sure you guys have heard me
- 1:25Speaker 1: talk about a few times, but Zach and I actually
- 1:28Speaker 1: did end up buying a house last week. We are
- 1:31Speaker 1: so beyond happy and so beyond excited for this new chapter.
- 1:36Speaker 1: This was definitely part of my five year plan was
- 1:39Speaker 1: to find our family house, just like upsizing to a
- 1:42Speaker 1: bigger home. And literally, guys, this house is literally everything
- 1:47Speaker 1: I wanted and more. It is absolutely beautiful. My sister
- 1:50Speaker 1: loves it, my parents love it, Zach loves it.
- 1:52Speaker 2: I love it.
- 1:53Speaker 1: Like everyone walked through it and just honestly had the
- 1:56Speaker 1: same reaction as me, which was just like, you know,
- 2:00Speaker 1: how nice the house was and how beautiful it was,
- 2:02Speaker 1: and how they thought it was the perfect house for us,
- 2:04Speaker 1: perfect size for us, and we just couldn't turn it down.
- 2:08Speaker 2: So it was truly, yeah, the.
- 2:10Speaker 1: House of our dreams, and we're very, very excited to
- 2:12Speaker 1: spend this next year just designing the house, taking you
- 2:15Speaker 1: guys along with me. So if you guys don't follow
- 2:18Speaker 1: me on Instagram or TikTok or YouTube. Definitely make sure
- 2:21Speaker 1: to follow me now because it's going to be such
- 2:22Speaker 1: a fun journey of just taking guys through the whole
- 2:25Speaker 1: process of designing it. And I'm just so so excited
- 2:29Speaker 1: for this next chapter. I will quickly just run down
- 2:32Speaker 1: how I feel like I manifested this house, and I
- 2:35Speaker 1: want to bring it up here on the podcast just
- 2:37Speaker 1: because the whole manifestation thing I truly believe in, and
- 2:41Speaker 1: I know some people don't believe in it, but this
- 2:44Speaker 1: story that I'm about to tell you guys is like
- 2:47Speaker 1: truly manifestation in my opinion, Like I do kind of
- 2:50Speaker 1: think it worked out in that way. So basically what
- 2:52Speaker 1: happened was that this house that we wanted, we originally
- 2:56Speaker 1: were looking at different houses.
- 2:58Speaker 2: We've been looking since June.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Just kind of looking through different models, and we just
- 3:02Speaker 1: really didn't find anything that you know, we loved. Like,
- 3:05Speaker 1: we walked through a few homes and we were kind
- 3:06Speaker 1: of like, yeah, it's nice, but not the house that
- 3:09Speaker 1: we want or the house that we did like would
- 3:11Speaker 1: be way over our price point and anyways, just like
- 3:14Speaker 1: wasn't really working out. So we decided to contact our
- 3:17Speaker 1: mortgage broker and ask her what we could actually afford,
- 3:20Speaker 1: and she gave us a ballpark of what pricing we
- 3:22Speaker 1: could look at, and it was actually a lot more
- 3:24Speaker 1: than we anticipated.
- 3:25Speaker 2: So then we.
- 3:26Speaker 1: Started to look at bigger houses with a higher price point,
- 3:29Speaker 1: hoping that we could find something within that budget. So
- 3:32Speaker 1: when I started looking at the builders, I found one
- 3:35Speaker 1: that I really really liked, and then I started looking
- 3:38Speaker 1: at the bigger homes and I found one specific model
- 3:41Speaker 1: that I was obsessed with, and one thing that I
- 3:44Speaker 1: realized throughout, like looking throughout the house process journey, was
- 3:48Speaker 1: I found out that I really liked the high ceilings.
- 3:51Speaker 1: So I was purposely looking at floor plans with either
- 3:54Speaker 1: open to above ceilings meaning that you could see to
- 3:57Speaker 1: the second level, or just high ceilings in general about
- 4:00Speaker 1: the entire house. So then we decided to go to
- 4:02Speaker 1: the development and see if someone else was building that house,
- 4:05Speaker 1: and we found out that there was someone building that
- 4:07Speaker 1: exact same house that I was interested in. We were
- 4:10Speaker 1: looking in the windows and guys, literally everything about it
- 4:13Speaker 1: was perfection. I was like, this is the house, Like,
- 4:16Speaker 1: it's got the big size windows, it's got great lighting,
- 4:18Speaker 1: it's got you know, high ceilings, like just everything that
- 4:21Speaker 1: I wanted. So when we went to the sales agent
- 4:24Speaker 1: for the home builder. She was like, oh, like, unfortunately
- 4:27Speaker 1: that house that you guys are interested in, like, we
- 4:29Speaker 1: don't have a lot to offer you because the one
- 4:32Speaker 1: lot that was recently available has actually been reserved by
- 4:35Speaker 1: another couple. I was disappointed. I thought, oh my god,
- 4:38Speaker 1: like I thought this was it. I thought this was
- 4:39Speaker 1: the sign. I thought this was the house. And just
- 4:42Speaker 1: was like really really upset. And so basically she came
- 4:45Speaker 1: back to us and she was like, listen, there's still
- 4:47Speaker 1: hope that the couple might fall through, but the next
- 4:49Speaker 1: available lot, if this couple decides to press forward with it,
- 4:52Speaker 1: isn't going to be until fall of twenty twenty six,
- 4:55Speaker 1: which means we wouldn't be moving in till fall of
- 4:58Speaker 1: twenty twenty seven because these new builds typically take a
- 5:01Speaker 1: full year for it to be fully ready. I really
- 5:04Speaker 1: did not want to wait two years to move into
- 5:06Speaker 1: our house. So I immediately was like, Okay, well, if
- 5:09Speaker 1: we don't get this lot and this couple doesn't follow
- 5:12Speaker 1: like fallow out of the deal, then we need to
- 5:13Speaker 1: look at a different builder and press board with something else.
- 5:16Speaker 1: So anyways, a few days goes by and it's our
- 5:18Speaker 1: anniversary August eighth, and if you guys didn't know, eight
- 5:22Speaker 1: eight is actually one of the luckiest days of the year.
- 5:24Speaker 1: And I'm on manifestation TikTok okay, everyone's telling me that
- 5:27Speaker 1: it's like the luckiestay of the year. If you're going
- 5:29Speaker 1: to put something into your power and your energy, then
- 5:33Speaker 1: you should really like just talk about positive self talk,
- 5:36Speaker 1: telling yourself that you are going to get the house,
- 5:38Speaker 1: the house that you always wanted, like just kind of
- 5:40Speaker 1: like talking to yourself and being really positive about the situation,
- 5:43Speaker 1: you know, writing down that you know, like in present tent,
- 5:46Speaker 1: saying that like you you are going to live in
- 5:48Speaker 1: that dream house that you want, Like it's going to happen.
- 5:50Speaker 1: Just trust that good things come to you. So basically
- 5:54Speaker 1: I was just like really just trying to manifest it
- 5:56Speaker 1: throughout the entire weekend. Then a few days goes by
- 5:59Speaker 1: and I'm like, Okay, contact my realistic agent.
- 6:01Speaker 2: I'm like, maybe we should reach out to a custom.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Home builder and see if we can build the exact
- 6:05Speaker 1: same house that I loved, but in a different area.
- 6:07Speaker 2: And she's like, y, yeah, let's do it.
- 6:09Speaker 1: So we had this meeting with this custom home builder
- 6:12Speaker 1: it goes good, but obviously I'm still upset about the
- 6:14Speaker 1: whole situation. And then my real estate agent calls me
- 6:17Speaker 1: three hours later after that meeting. Me not thinking anything
- 6:20Speaker 1: of the other house, I'm thinking, Okay, it must be
- 6:22Speaker 1: about this custom home builder, and she's like, Kaylie, you're
- 6:24Speaker 1: never gonna believe it. The couple that reserved that lot
- 6:27Speaker 1: ended up backing out of the signing, and you guys
- 6:30Speaker 1: are the next couple to reserve this lot. If you
- 6:32Speaker 1: guys want it, you can reserve it, and within the
- 6:34Speaker 1: next hour, you guys can sign and have this house
- 6:37Speaker 1: to yourself. So we were literally shocked to our core
- 6:40Speaker 1: because usually when there's a signing agreement, it means that
- 6:43Speaker 1: you don't typically like get the house. So the fact
- 6:46Speaker 1: that the couple fell through on the signing is literally
- 6:50Speaker 1: a complete shock to us. So we immediately reserved the lot,
- 6:53Speaker 1: we did the signing, we put the deposit down in everything,
- 6:56Speaker 1: and now we officially have the house. But I truly
- 6:59Speaker 1: do think that luck played in our favor because I
- 7:02Speaker 1: really did not think we were going to get it,
- 7:03Speaker 1: And my real estate agent was like, you have no
- 7:05Speaker 1: idea how uncommon it is for people to back out
- 7:08Speaker 1: of a deal really last minutely, Like She's like, honestly,
- 7:10Speaker 1: this was pure luck. So I am like so beyond
- 7:14Speaker 1: happy that it worked out. And yeah, I'm just super
- 7:17Speaker 1: excited about this new chapter.
- 7:18Speaker 2: And again, if.
- 7:19Speaker 1: You guys want to follow along, you guys can follow
- 7:21Speaker 1: on my socials of taking guys through our whole journey.
- 7:24Speaker 1: So let's get into today's episode. I do have my
- 7:28Speaker 1: sister here. We are doing another sip and spill episode.
- 7:31Speaker 2: Hello, she's back.
- 7:35Speaker 1: We do need to address some comments though, because yeah,
- 7:40Speaker 1: we do have a few people that have mentioned a
- 7:42Speaker 1: few things. I didn't even know that you could comment
- 7:44Speaker 1: on Spotify. Okay, this has been a whole new thing
- 7:46Speaker 1: for me. There's been a lot of positive comments and
- 7:48Speaker 1: a lot of like a lot more positive comments than negative,
- 7:52Speaker 1: to be honest, But I have seen a few comments
- 7:54Speaker 1: about just the sister episode, specifically about the mic being
- 7:59Speaker 1: I don't know an issue and how you guys want
- 8:01Speaker 1: us to get a second mic because I sound really
- 8:03Speaker 1: loud and then Madison sounds really quiet. Yeah it is
- 8:07Speaker 1: because we only have one mic. So I just want
- 8:09Speaker 1: to make that clear that I'm a little bit closer
- 8:11Speaker 1: than Madison. Is just the way our seating arrangement is.
- 8:14Speaker 3: Yeah, we've tried this time to kind of put it
- 8:17Speaker 3: right in between us, but typically, you know, when trying
- 8:21Speaker 3: to talk into one mic, it is difficult because there's
- 8:24Speaker 3: always one person that's kind of closer than the other. Yeah,
- 8:27Speaker 3: so we're really trying to make an effort for this
- 8:29Speaker 3: episode to both be closed so that you know, you
- 8:33Speaker 3: can hear us both equally.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Yeah, and we will take your advice on getting another
- 8:38Speaker 1: mic for future reference, because I do actually really enjoy
- 8:41Speaker 1: having Madison a part of the episodes, and I think
- 8:42Speaker 1: you guys really like it too, just kind of getting
- 8:45Speaker 1: both of our opinions on things, and it might be
- 8:47Speaker 1: like a monthly thing or you know, every few weeks,
- 8:50Speaker 1: she'll join in on an episode just to kind of, yeah,
- 8:53Speaker 1: have a little bit of a sister chat, because I
- 8:54Speaker 1: obviously enjoy having her part of the conversation.
- 8:57Speaker 2: And it's not always just me talking. So that we.
- 9:00Speaker 1: Wanted to address and also just address about how sometimes
- 9:04Speaker 1: you guys think I'm talking over Madison, but sometimes it's
- 9:07Speaker 1: also just the way we're editing the podcast.
- 9:09Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, Typically, like you know, I'll normally edit Kaylee's
- 9:14Speaker 3: podcast for her and there's certain points, you know, where
- 9:17Speaker 3: I'm still getting comfortable with talking on a podcast like
- 9:22Speaker 3: this is all still very new to me and Kaylie's
- 9:25Speaker 3: been doing it for a while. So certain points, you know,
- 9:30Speaker 3: I'll lose track of what I'm saying and Kaylee will
- 9:32Speaker 3: chime in to add to it, and so when we
- 9:35Speaker 3: make the edits, it may seem like she's, I don't know,
- 9:38Speaker 3: interrupting me. Yeah, so yeah, we just also wanted to
- 9:41Speaker 3: kind of address these as well, because you know, it's
- 9:45Speaker 3: in no way her, you know, cutting me off or
- 9:48Speaker 3: anything like that. It's just kind of sometimes when when
- 9:51Speaker 3: we edit the episode, it may appear that way. Yeah.
- 9:54Speaker 1: So anyways, and obviously we're trying to make it a conversation,
- 9:56Speaker 1: and maybe that's also something that I could work on
- 9:59Speaker 1: as just like making it seem.
- 10:00Speaker 2: That I'm not interrupting you.
- 10:02Speaker 1: I think it's I don't know, it's just kind of
- 10:03Speaker 1: like the conversation we have within a podcast. I guess
- 10:06Speaker 1: you guys might perceive it that way, but it also
- 10:08Speaker 1: could just be the way we're editing the podcast.
- 10:10Speaker 3: I feel like also too, I'm sure a lot of
- 10:13Speaker 3: people who have sisters will understand, but like Kaylie will
- 10:17Speaker 3: finish my sentences. I'll finish her sentence. All the time.
- 10:20Speaker 3: We have this like sister, like what's it called telepathy,
- 10:25Speaker 3: Like we can like read each other's minds a lot
- 10:27Speaker 3: of the time. So it's not like we're ever thinking like, oh,
- 10:31Speaker 3: we're interrupting each other, Like maybe it is perceived that
- 10:34Speaker 3: way from other people, but like we're never feeling that
- 10:37Speaker 3: way because like I know what she's trying to say,
- 10:39Speaker 3: she knows what I'm trying to say. We just like
- 10:41Speaker 3: finish each other's.
- 10:42Speaker 1: Sentences literally all the time, literally all the time. So anyways,
- 10:47Speaker 1: we apologize for that, but we saw your messages and
- 10:50Speaker 1: we will try and work on the one person louder
- 10:52Speaker 1: than the other by getting a second mic along with
- 10:56Speaker 1: maybe just yes, trying to maybe not edit it in
- 10:58Speaker 1: a scene where like it seems like getting off or
- 11:01Speaker 1: also just if I am, I'll work on you know,
- 11:04Speaker 1: just like letting Madison finish your sentences. But again, this
- 11:06Speaker 1: is like not rude or intentional at all, like whatsoever.
- 11:11Speaker 2: No, if anything.
- 11:12Speaker 1: Sometimes Madison gives me a look and she's like, okay,
- 11:14Speaker 1: finish my sentence. I don't know what I'm saying exactly,
- 11:16Speaker 1: So anyways, you just don't really know the full context
- 11:19Speaker 1: of the situation.
- 11:20Speaker 3: Also, not having like a video along with it's kind
- 11:25Speaker 3: of hard to see like you might be able to
- 11:27Speaker 3: tell with a video from like body language or you know,
- 11:31Speaker 3: just whatever the case may be, that you know she
- 11:34Speaker 3: is finishing my sentence or whatever.
- 11:36Speaker 1: So yeah, so anyways, we just want to address that
- 11:39Speaker 1: before we get into today's episode, but we are going
- 11:42Speaker 1: to work on that. And yeah, so for today's episode,
- 11:46Speaker 1: we kind of based it off of a TikTok trend
- 11:48Speaker 1: called fill your Own Cups. So essentially what it means
- 11:52Speaker 1: is that it's all about things that kind of just
- 11:55Speaker 1: like make you feel like you're doing these things for
- 11:59Speaker 1: yourself and no one else else, Like these are things
- 12:00Speaker 1: that truly make you happy and make you feel really
- 12:03Speaker 1: good and just what brings out the best in you.
- 12:06Speaker 1: And with it being the really busy time of the year,
- 12:08Speaker 1: I feel like end of August is typically when people
- 12:11Speaker 1: are starting to get ready to go back to school
- 12:13Speaker 1: or you know, maybe you took a lot of time
- 12:15Speaker 1: off in the summer for work, and you know, I
- 12:17Speaker 1: feel like September is just the month where everyone kind
- 12:20Speaker 1: of puts their energy back into work or into school.
- 12:24Speaker 1: It could also just be like transitioning to like a
- 12:27Speaker 1: new career. You know, some people take the summer off
- 12:30Speaker 1: and then they get a new job in September. I
- 12:32Speaker 1: just feel like September is kind of like a fresh
- 12:34Speaker 1: start in a way.
- 12:35Speaker 3: Or maybe you're moving to a new city, or like
- 12:38Speaker 3: you just signed a new lease, like you're moving out
- 12:41Speaker 3: of your parents' home into your first big apartment. Like
- 12:44Speaker 3: leases typically start in September as well, especially if you're
- 12:49Speaker 3: going to college or you know, exactly, yeah, exactly, that's
- 12:52Speaker 3: a great like moving into res like everything could just
- 12:54Speaker 3: feel just like a lot busier with you know, getting
- 12:58Speaker 3: to this busy time of the year. So we just
- 13:00Speaker 3: wanted to talk about like little things for you to
- 13:02Speaker 3: remember going into this busy time of the year that
- 13:06Speaker 3: really just fill your own cup and just like I
- 13:08Speaker 3: don't know, make you feel like you're doing things for
- 13:10Speaker 3: yourself and brings out the happiness in you even when
- 13:14Speaker 3: you are going through a stressful period or a busy
- 13:16Speaker 3: time of year, or like a big transition whatever it is,
- 13:20Speaker 3: and just about doing things like Kayleie mentioned for you
- 13:24Speaker 3: and no one else.
- 13:25Speaker 1: So we kind of are going to go back and
- 13:26Speaker 1: forth on ideas that we both had when it comes
- 13:29Speaker 1: to things that fill up our own cup. So my
- 13:32Speaker 1: idea for this of things that fill my cup is
- 13:35Speaker 1: my morning rituals. So I personally find when I'm consistent
- 13:38Speaker 1: with my routine in the mornings, like going on my walk, journaling,
- 13:43Speaker 1: you know, eating a healthy breakfast, you know, meditating, reading,
- 13:48Speaker 1: whatever the case may be. Like when I actually put
- 13:50Speaker 1: a lot of energy into these rituals in the morning
- 13:53Speaker 1: and I do it consistently throughout the week, that's when
- 13:56Speaker 1: I feel my absolute best, Like I know I'm going
- 13:58Speaker 1: to have a good day because I feel like my
- 14:00Speaker 1: structure of my routine is good. I feel like I've
- 14:03Speaker 1: set myself up for success of the day, knowing that
- 14:06Speaker 1: I got all these things done, like doing my skincare,
- 14:08Speaker 1: having my shower, like you know what I mean. Like
- 14:10Speaker 1: those little things just make me feel really good before
- 14:13Speaker 1: starting my day out. And on the days where I
- 14:15Speaker 1: feel like I might be in a funk or I
- 14:17Speaker 1: might just feel off, it's usually because I didn't do
- 14:21Speaker 1: any of my morning rituals.
- 14:22Speaker 2: It's usually because.
- 14:23Speaker 1: I didn't have any type of consistent routine in the morning,
- 14:26Speaker 1: and then my entire day just feels completely off. So
- 14:29Speaker 1: I personally feel like taking the time of waking up
- 14:32Speaker 1: earlier and doing those little things that make me feel
- 14:34Speaker 1: good really does set myself up for success. And I
- 14:38Speaker 1: feel like you could add onto this too, because I
- 14:40Speaker 1: feel like you've actually recently created a morning routine for yourself.
- 14:43Speaker 3: Yeah, so I've been trying to make like almost like
- 14:47Speaker 3: a new morning routine for myself where I'm trying to
- 14:50Speaker 3: wake up earlier, I'm trying to work out in the morning.
- 14:54Speaker 3: I've started adding new habits like journaling. I've started reading
- 14:58Speaker 3: outside every morning, which has been like really really nice.
- 15:02Speaker 3: But I've definitely noticed a difference, Like, for example, i
- 15:05Speaker 3: feel like yesterday I felt very off and I didn't
- 15:09Speaker 3: do a workout in the morning, whereas today, woke up
- 15:13Speaker 3: at seven am, did a little morning workout and I've
- 15:17Speaker 3: felt so good. And it's just crazy how much of
- 15:20Speaker 3: a difference it makes, Like now, for example, seeing how
- 15:23Speaker 3: much of a difference it's made in the way I
- 15:25Speaker 3: feel today versus how I felt yesterday. I'm definitely gonna
- 15:29Speaker 3: be implementing moving my body in any type of way
- 15:33Speaker 3: every single day, whether that's going to a workout class
- 15:37Speaker 3: or running in the trails, Like I definitely want to
- 15:40Speaker 3: incorporate that, and I really do feel like without like
- 15:44Speaker 3: Kaylee said, that morning ritual, doing those things in the morning,
- 15:48Speaker 3: you really feel off and it just sets the tone
- 15:50Speaker 3: for your whole day.
- 15:51Speaker 1: One hundred percent. I think fresh air is so key
- 15:54Speaker 1: in the morning, like getting that morning sunlight in the summer,
- 15:57Speaker 1: Oh my goodness, Vitamin D man, No, it's so important.
- 16:01Speaker 1: It's literally curing my mental health. Like just standing in
- 16:04Speaker 1: the sun for like ten minutes. Yeah, the sun is
- 16:06Speaker 1: my therapy.
- 16:07Speaker 2: No, it actually is, Like I'm not even over exaggerating.
- 16:09Speaker 1: I will go outside in my backyard and just literally
- 16:12Speaker 1: stand there doing absolutely nothing, just absorbing the sun, and I'm.
- 16:16Speaker 2: Like, wow, I feel like a new human. I'm not
- 16:18Speaker 2: even kidding.
- 16:19Speaker 1: Like even think about when you know, in the winter,
- 16:21Speaker 1: when you go on a warm, sunny vacation, like you know,
- 16:24Speaker 1: to Mexico or Putaicana, like somewhere warm, and do you
- 16:28Speaker 1: not just like that feeling of just like being in
- 16:30Speaker 1: the sun again and you're like I'm alive again.
- 16:32Speaker 3: Yeah, you just like.
- 16:33Speaker 4: The sadness everything.
- 16:35Speaker 3: Just goes like I just like woke up from a nightmare.
- 16:38Speaker 3: Like yeah, it's so true, it's like feeling like nothing
- 16:42Speaker 3: hits different than the feeling of going from like depressing
- 16:47Speaker 3: weather to just sunshine, like just stepping off the plane,
- 16:51Speaker 3: that instant feeling.
- 16:53Speaker 1: I don't know if this is like a Canadian feeling. Yeah,
- 16:55Speaker 1: but well no, there is some states that actually, like
- 16:58Speaker 1: Colorado like places that gets so I guess, oh yeah,
- 17:01Speaker 1: New York.
- 17:02Speaker 2: Yes, that's a good point too.
- 17:03Speaker 1: So people who live in California, I feel like, you
- 17:05Speaker 1: know there, Yeah, they get nice weather all the time,
- 17:07Speaker 1: which I'm sure you guys have like maybe rainy periods
- 17:10Speaker 1: where it gets hard when it's like super gloomy or whatever.
- 17:13Speaker 1: But the Canadian girlies and the girls in the States
- 17:16Speaker 1: that have those really bad winters with the snow, you
- 17:18Speaker 1: guys totally get what we're trying to say when it
- 17:20Speaker 1: comes to just like being in that depressive weather for
- 17:23Speaker 1: such a long period of time and then taking that
- 17:26Speaker 1: one week of going away to the sunshine and the
- 17:29Speaker 1: beach and it's just, oh my god, the sun is
- 17:32Speaker 1: very much.
- 17:32Speaker 3: It's therapy. Yeah, it's literally free therapy. January February, that's
- 17:36Speaker 3: the time to go. Okay, So I'd say the next
- 17:40Speaker 3: thing that we can add that I think both me
- 17:43Speaker 3: and Kaylee can say phills our own cup would be
- 17:47Speaker 3: doing weekly coffee runs, which me and Kayley do together
- 17:52Speaker 3: pretty much every single week, which is whether we go
- 17:56Speaker 3: to like a Starbucks or our favorite coffee show. I
- 18:00Speaker 3: know Kaylee's mentioned probably honey on Here quite a few times,
- 18:03Speaker 3: which is one of our favorite coffee shops. Also including friends.
- 18:08Speaker 3: Like I said, me and Kaylee will go together or
- 18:11Speaker 3: after a workout class with some of our friends will
- 18:14Speaker 3: go get a protein smoothie together. And I really feel
- 18:17Speaker 3: like making it a priority every single week to go
- 18:20Speaker 3: for that little coffee run. I don't know, it's just
- 18:23Speaker 3: something I look forward to, Like I definitely look forward
- 18:26Speaker 3: to every single week the one day I choose where
- 18:28Speaker 3: I'm gonna go get a little Starbucks treat for myself,
- 18:32Speaker 3: like and it just puts me in the best mood
- 18:34Speaker 3: for the day because I'm like, oh, like I have
- 18:36Speaker 3: this little treat for myself. Yeah and yeah, I feel
- 18:40Speaker 3: like it just you know, adds to filling my own cup.
- 18:43Speaker 1: And I think also just like being able to treat
- 18:47Speaker 1: yourself like once a week, right, Like I know some
- 18:49Speaker 1: people that will order from Starbucks or from a coffee
- 18:51Speaker 1: shop every single day, and then at that point it's
- 18:54Speaker 1: such a routine that it doesn't feel special, right, But
- 18:56Speaker 1: when you do it once a week, and as Madison said,
- 18:59Speaker 1: like bringing your friend involved and getting that involved, like
- 19:01Speaker 1: it makes you look forward to it ten times more.
- 19:04Speaker 1: The excitement around it of just getting your favorite coffee
- 19:07Speaker 1: that just you know, tastes a little bit better than
- 19:09Speaker 1: your coffee at home, and like just something that you
- 19:12Speaker 1: can look forward to is more exciting in that sense.
- 19:14Speaker 3: Yeah. I also love getting like a little mid day
- 19:17Speaker 3: refresher instead of just a coffee, especially from Starbucks. And
- 19:23Speaker 3: there's something about a refresher I find in the summer,
- 19:27Speaker 3: a refresher just hits different. Yeah, and then in the fall,
- 19:31Speaker 3: like just like anything. Pumpkins at Starbucks one hundred percent.
- 19:35Speaker 3: Oh my god, I just I can't even explain that feeling,
- 19:38Speaker 3: like if you're having a bad day, that is the key,
- 19:42Speaker 3: it is.
- 19:43Speaker 4: It really is, Like all I can think about right.
- 19:45Speaker 1: Now is September and going to get my first pumpkin
- 19:49Speaker 1: drink from Starbucks.
- 19:51Speaker 3: Oh it's end of August.
- 19:53Speaker 1: Well, yeah, it comes out August twenty six, I think,
- 19:56Speaker 1: or twenty fifth.
- 19:56Speaker 3: I will be at Starbucks. Yeah, it's twenty six.
- 19:59Speaker 1: Well, I'll be on my trip, so I don't know
- 20:01Speaker 1: if there'll be a Starbucks near me, but I will
- 20:03Speaker 1: be getting one. As soon as I'm in the vicinity
- 20:05Speaker 1: of a Starbucks, I will.
- 20:06Speaker 3: Be getting I'll be going to the grocery store and
- 20:08Speaker 3: buying pumpkin pure yes, pure yeah, pure, yeah, pumpkin pure,
- 20:13Speaker 3: pumpkin spice seasoning.
- 20:14Speaker 2: Yes.
- 20:15Speaker 3: Also to add on to this is just making your
- 20:18Speaker 3: at home coffee. I feel like this is also kind
- 20:20Speaker 3: of like part of the morning ritual. But like I
- 20:23Speaker 3: find comfort in making my at home coffee. Even though
- 20:26Speaker 3: it's not like you know, a Starbucks coffee or like
- 20:30Speaker 3: my favorite coffee shop like or from my favorite coffee shop,
- 20:33Speaker 3: It's still like there is that comfort in you're at
- 20:36Speaker 3: home coffee because it's something that you're used to. And
- 20:39Speaker 3: I don't know, even if I'm like not craving a coffee,
- 20:42Speaker 3: it just feels weird not having my morning coffee at home,
- 20:47Speaker 3: Like I feel like it's part of my morning ritual.
- 20:49Speaker 3: Like usually I'll have a coffee around ten maybe ten
- 20:52Speaker 3: thirty am, and I'm just like I just get excited,
- 20:55Speaker 3: like I'll be doing work in the morning on my
- 20:57Speaker 3: laptop and I'm like time to make my coffee. Yeah,
- 21:00Speaker 3: and even just like the process of making the coffee,
- 21:02Speaker 3: like I don't know what it is, just like watching
- 21:05Speaker 3: the coffee brew, the smell, like, oh no, there's just
- 21:08Speaker 3: the whole process, and just like I just look forward
- 21:12Speaker 3: to it. I don't know if anybody else in this way,
- 21:14Speaker 3: but like I find so much comfort in all of that.
- 21:18Speaker 2: I find it very satisfying.
- 21:19Speaker 1: Like just seeing the espresso shot being brewed and seeing
- 21:23Speaker 1: my honey melt in the shot, like that is literally
- 21:26Speaker 1: the most satisfying thing. I get a smell like oh,
- 21:29Speaker 1: like it's just it's something that can be described. But
- 21:32Speaker 1: also for people who love macha, like it's the same thing, right,
- 21:35Speaker 1: like whisking the macha and like getting the milk and everything.
- 21:38Speaker 1: Like I'm sure if you're not a coffee drinker, like
- 21:40Speaker 1: it's the same thing. Of Like just the process of
- 21:43Speaker 1: making a macha is so therapeutic, right, Like you get
- 21:46Speaker 1: excited about that little thing in the morning that brings
- 21:49Speaker 1: you so much joy, whether it's your cup of coffee
- 21:52Speaker 1: or your macha or your even your tea, whatever it is.
- 21:54Speaker 1: I just feel like, as you said, like it is
- 21:56Speaker 1: technically part of a morning ritual, but like the satisfaction
- 21:59Speaker 1: that you do at home of making your own coffee,
- 22:03Speaker 1: there is some comfort.
- 22:04Speaker 3: In that even when I go on a trip, like
- 22:06Speaker 3: I don't just miss the taste of my at home coffee,
- 22:09Speaker 3: I miss the process of making my home coffee.
- 22:12Speaker 1: It's also, yeah, just the routine of making it is
- 22:14Speaker 1: exciting and fun, like when you go to a you know,
- 22:16Speaker 1: a restaurant or a coffee shop and you're like, oh, yeah,
- 22:18Speaker 1: all just take this order and like you're just waiting
- 22:20Speaker 1: for it to come to you. Like I don't know,
- 22:22Speaker 1: it's like, okay, cool, it tastes good, love it, whatever,
- 22:24Speaker 1: But the whole process of making.
- 22:25Speaker 2: It, it's almost like I guess if.
- 22:27Speaker 1: You love for yeah, I guess if you like love
- 22:29Speaker 1: baking too, or like cooking, it's kind of like the
- 22:31Speaker 1: same thing, very similar. It's a form I would say,
- 22:35Speaker 1: it's a form of therapy in a way I don't know,
- 22:37Speaker 1: like actually like physically doing it and the excitement around
- 22:40Speaker 1: making it. That's actually one thing that I really enjoy
- 22:42Speaker 1: is just making my coffee in general, and it does
- 22:45Speaker 1: always turn out pretty good.
- 22:46Speaker 3: Okay.
- 22:46Speaker 2: The next one that we both.
- 22:48Speaker 1: Agree on when it comes to filling your own cup
- 22:51Speaker 1: is wearing cute outfits, so making the effort of just
- 22:55Speaker 1: feeling really put together. Whether it's you know, just a
- 22:58Speaker 1: cute outfit that you've recently just or it could be
- 23:01Speaker 1: putting on a matching workout set or matching PJ set.
- 23:04Speaker 1: There's something about just like making yourself feel more put
- 23:07Speaker 1: together when you actually put the effort of dressing cute.
- 23:11Speaker 1: I feel like I've really changed my fashion sense as
- 23:13Speaker 1: well as I age. I feel like as I get older,
- 23:15Speaker 1: I've started to kind of like more like I don't know,
- 23:19Speaker 1: modest fashion versus like yeah, prop tops, and I don't know,
- 23:22Speaker 1: like obviously the occasional time I will wear that, and
- 23:25Speaker 1: obviously with my workout sets, I'm wearing a sports braun
- 23:27Speaker 1: and likes, but I don't know, Like I feel like
- 23:29Speaker 1: I'm going down a different direction as I age, and
- 23:31Speaker 1: I like that, Like I'm happy that I'm kind of
- 23:33Speaker 1: changing it up and wearing something a bit different and like.
- 23:36Speaker 3: I don't know, I could be wrong, but I feel
- 23:39Speaker 3: like fall fashion this year is going to be so
- 23:43Speaker 3: different than how it normally is. Like I feel like
- 23:46Speaker 3: it's usually very like cozy vibes and not saying it
- 23:49Speaker 3: like won't be that way, but I feel like I'm
- 23:52Speaker 3: excited to see what people do in the sense of
- 23:55Speaker 3: like kind of making it more like you said, maybe
- 23:59Speaker 3: more modest or like kind of like preppy in a way.
- 24:02Speaker 3: Like I don't know how to explain it, but I
- 24:03Speaker 3: feel like I'm excited for fall fashion. This.
- 24:06Speaker 1: Oh, I am so excited for fall fashion. I think
- 24:09Speaker 1: fall fashion is actually my favorite time to shop. I
- 24:12Speaker 1: feel like the summer, I usually just like throw in
- 24:14Speaker 1: a summer dress or you know, jean shorts and a
- 24:17Speaker 1: tank chop. Like I feel like I'm very simple in
- 24:19Speaker 1: the summer, just because it's so hot out.
- 24:21Speaker 2: Yeah, But in the.
- 24:21Speaker 1: Fall, I feel like there's so much more like opportunities
- 24:25Speaker 1: to like really style different things like cardigans and blazers
- 24:28Speaker 1: and trench coats, and you know, there's just like I
- 24:31Speaker 1: don't know, there's so much more.
- 24:32Speaker 3: So is like I feel like the one season where
- 24:36Speaker 3: like you know, you have at the beginning of fall
- 24:38Speaker 3: where it's really really hot and then it like slowly
- 24:40Speaker 3: gets colder and colder, so you have the option to
- 24:43Speaker 3: like add a coat or a sweater, and you know,
- 24:47Speaker 3: you could even do like I've seen people do like
- 24:50Speaker 3: mini skirts but with a sweater, like you know, it's
- 24:52Speaker 3: it's kind of like the one season I'd say fall
- 24:55Speaker 3: and Spring maybe as well, where you can kind of.
- 24:58Speaker 2: Like do a lot with it, agree with you.
- 25:01Speaker 1: And then also, as I said, just like having a
- 25:03Speaker 1: matching workout set or a PJ set, like I feel
- 25:06Speaker 1: like when the set matches, I feel more put together.
- 25:09Speaker 1: Like if I'm wearing like a green sports bra with
- 25:12Speaker 1: I don't know, like black leggings, sometimes I'm like, why.
- 25:16Speaker 2: Did I pick this outfit?
- 25:19Speaker 4: Like it's not giving, it's not giving what I at me.
- 25:22Speaker 1: Like, yeah, I'm uncomfortable. I'm not wearing a matching set
- 25:26Speaker 1: like everybody else in the room.
- 25:28Speaker 2: So I don't know.
- 25:28Speaker 1: I do think there is something that just feels good
- 25:33Speaker 1: about wearing a matching set, even pj's. Like if I
- 25:36Speaker 1: just wear like a baggy shirt and like I don't know,
- 25:39Speaker 1: like weird, yeah, weird shorts or something like old shorts,
- 25:43Speaker 1: I feel kind of gross, like I truly do. But
- 25:46Speaker 1: when I wear like a matching PJ set with like
- 25:49Speaker 1: whether it's a Victoria's Secret or whatever, like airy like
- 25:52Speaker 1: matching top, matching bottoms, I just like wake up and
- 25:55Speaker 1: I feel more put together, Like I.
- 25:57Speaker 3: Just don't feel I know, it's just a different feeling. Yeah,
- 26:00Speaker 3: exactly what you mean.
- 26:01Speaker 1: But I'm sure if you guys do the same, I'm
- 26:03Speaker 1: sure you guys get what I'm talking about. But there's
- 26:05Speaker 1: definitely some comfort in that as well.
- 26:07Speaker 3: So I'd say the next thing that fills my cup
- 26:12Speaker 3: would be spending a lot of time with friends and family.
- 26:16Speaker 3: I feel like it's so important, especially if you are
- 26:20Speaker 3: going through like a big transition or things are you know,
- 26:26Speaker 3: hard right now, or it's a busy time, Like, it's
- 26:29Speaker 3: definitely nice to surround yourself with people who love you
- 26:32Speaker 3: and who just kind of bring the best in you.
- 26:36Speaker 3: And so I always like to make that a priority
- 26:39Speaker 3: every single week to make plans with my friends and
- 26:42Speaker 3: spend time with my family. So one thing that me
- 26:45Speaker 3: and Kaylee do with our parents and Zach as well
- 26:49Speaker 3: is having weekly dinners. We always do dinner on Sunday,
- 26:54Speaker 3: and it's nice in the summertime because we get to
- 26:56Speaker 3: sit outside. So I definitely look forward to that every
- 26:59Speaker 3: single week. When Kaylee and Zach come over with Freddy,
- 27:02Speaker 3: it's just like the highlight of my week.
- 27:04Speaker 2: It's just chaos.
- 27:05Speaker 3: Yeah, it's dogs, it's chaos, a lot of dogs, a
- 27:08Speaker 3: lot of people. But I definitely look forward to it.
- 27:11Speaker 3: And sometimes we'll also go to Kaylee's and there's just
- 27:15Speaker 3: a lot of comfort in that. Just like taking the
- 27:17Speaker 3: quality time to be together. Yeah, I just definitely find
- 27:23Speaker 3: that fills my cup.
- 27:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 27:25Speaker 3: I also find, you know, especially with like it being
- 27:29Speaker 3: a very busy time. Even if it's like I can't
- 27:33Speaker 3: have like a exactly like a hangout with a friend,
- 27:36Speaker 3: I'll usually try to make plans to like go on
- 27:39Speaker 3: a walk with a friend. You know, one of my
- 27:41Speaker 3: best friends, she works from home, and so we'll always
- 27:45Speaker 3: make a plan every single week to go on a
- 27:47Speaker 3: walk during her lunch break or something like that. Or
- 27:50Speaker 3: we'll try to fit it into each of our schedules,
- 27:53Speaker 3: whether that's like before work or after work, or I'll
- 27:56Speaker 3: go to a workout class with a friend, like whatever.
- 27:59Speaker 3: It is making that a priority every single week, just
- 28:02Speaker 3: to spend time.
- 28:04Speaker 1: With But do you realize how like as we age,
- 28:07Speaker 1: that is the new norm. It is like it's not
- 28:10Speaker 1: about going shopping together, it's not about like doing a
- 28:15Speaker 1: I don't even know, a cute fall date together, like
- 28:17Speaker 1: It's literally about doing things that are like a part
- 28:20Speaker 1: of your own routine, like that you exactly that you
- 28:23Speaker 1: include someone else in. So a walk, obviously, I want
- 28:26Speaker 1: to try and get a walk in every day, So
- 28:27Speaker 1: texting a friend and asking them to join you at
- 28:30Speaker 1: least you're still doing something in your rootine that fills
- 28:33Speaker 1: your cup and you're including your friends.
- 28:35Speaker 2: Yeah, And I feel like.
- 28:36Speaker 3: It's very rare nowadays to just kind of like have
- 28:39Speaker 3: like a hangout.
- 28:40Speaker 1: I guess, yeah, Yeah, it's harder. It's definitely harder as
- 28:44Speaker 1: you age, and like everyone has busy lives, and I
- 28:47Speaker 1: feel like if you're struggling right now to like make
- 28:49Speaker 1: plans with friends or anything like that, definitely try it
- 28:52Speaker 1: and include them in things that you do currently, whether
- 28:55Speaker 1: it's workout, classes, going on walks, weekly coffee dates, literally
- 28:59Speaker 1: anything like that is the best way to do it
- 29:01Speaker 1: is just like include family or friends into that.
- 29:04Speaker 3: And if you do have the time, definitely trying to
- 29:07Speaker 3: make plans to maybe go out for dinner. You know,
- 29:09Speaker 3: That's something I always look forward to every now and then,
- 29:12Speaker 3: is just going out to dinner with friends or even
- 29:15Speaker 3: having like a night in where you know, you watch
- 29:18Speaker 3: the bachelor or something together. Oh yeah, a cute little
- 29:21Speaker 3: girls night.
- 29:22Speaker 2: Like the summer I turn pretty like a summer for
- 29:25Speaker 2: all time.
- 29:26Speaker 3: Like there's so much you can do, like carving pumpkins together,
- 29:29Speaker 3: just having like a Halloween movie night. Like there's there's
- 29:32Speaker 3: so much you can do, and I feel like prioritizing
- 29:35Speaker 3: that maybe not on like a weekly basis, but like
- 29:38Speaker 3: whenever you can. I did feel like definitely fills my cup.
- 29:43Speaker 1: Yeah, as Madison said, there's something about the family dinners
- 29:46Speaker 1: I feel like also just fills my own cup too,
- 29:49Speaker 1: I think, I don't know, as I said, like I
- 29:51Speaker 1: feel like as we get older too, like you just
- 29:54Speaker 1: realize the importance of family and how much it actually
- 29:56Speaker 1: means to you. Yeah, and just being able to, like
- 30:00Speaker 1: I don't know, also do it for your parents. I
- 30:01Speaker 1: know that's kind of sounds crazy, but like sometimes I
- 30:04Speaker 1: just like think about my parents getting older and it
- 30:06Speaker 1: like makes me so sad, and it just makes you
- 30:09Speaker 1: realize Like obviously I'm not a parent yet, but I
- 30:12Speaker 1: feel like when I do have a kid, I think
- 30:14Speaker 1: I'm going to see them in a different light completely
- 30:17Speaker 1: in the sense where it's like, you know, caring for
- 30:20Speaker 1: my kids so much that, Like it just shows how
- 30:22Speaker 1: like our parents care for us so much that it's
- 30:24Speaker 1: like they want to spend all this time with us
- 30:27Speaker 1: all the time.
- 30:27Speaker 3: And you know, I obviously still live at home, but
- 30:30Speaker 3: Kaylee's moved out with Zach. Like think about when your
- 30:33Speaker 3: kids reach that age where they do, Like, think about
- 30:36Speaker 3: your own kids when they reach that age to go
- 30:38Speaker 3: move out. Yeah, Like it's just, yeah, it's it's definitely
- 30:42Speaker 3: sad to think about. And sometimes I can't even imagine,
- 30:45Speaker 3: you know, how hard it is to watch that happen
- 30:48Speaker 3: and having to just like let your kid kind of
- 30:50Speaker 3: do their own thing.
- 30:51Speaker 1: And yeah, sometimes like Dad will randomly like just say like, oh,
- 30:55Speaker 1: like I miss you, like you should call me more this,
- 30:58Speaker 1: And then I'm like, oh, I feel like such a
- 31:00Speaker 1: daughter for like not doing that, you.
- 31:01Speaker 2: Know what I mean.
- 31:02Speaker 1: And then it's like, Okay, I got to make the effort.
- 31:03Speaker 1: I got to go see me.
- 31:04Speaker 3: Like, you know, my dad loves to golf for all
- 31:07Speaker 3: pretty you know, I wouldn't say big golfers, but we
- 31:10Speaker 3: all golf, and so we'll try to make that a priority.
- 31:15Speaker 1: But yeah, just doing those like little things that like
- 31:17Speaker 1: our dad enjoys and all that.
- 31:18Speaker 2: So I don't know.
- 31:19Speaker 1: I just feel like the importance of family becomes such
- 31:21Speaker 1: an more important thing as you get older.
- 31:23Speaker 3: Yeah, or also to going to like a workout class
- 31:26Speaker 3: with our mom.
- 31:27Speaker 1: Like, yes, that's actually something new we've done. We've actually
- 31:30Speaker 1: got my mom hooked on the oxygen classes, So my
- 31:33Speaker 1: mom has actually been coming with us, and I think
- 31:35Speaker 1: she's been really enjoying that time with us. And yeah,
- 31:38Speaker 1: having her be a part of something that was already
- 31:41Speaker 1: a part of our routine has been like really fun
- 31:43Speaker 1: and like nice to like have her be a part
- 31:45Speaker 1: of it. And I think she like really enjoys the
- 31:47Speaker 1: mother daughter time with us too.
- 31:48Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly.
- 31:50Speaker 1: Another thing that fills our cup is, of course, I
- 31:53Speaker 1: feel like this fills up everyone's cup is going on
- 31:56Speaker 1: a trip. So booking some time with a friend or
- 32:00Speaker 1: family or a loved one of going on a good
- 32:03Speaker 1: vacae like going on a girl's trip is always fun.
- 32:06Speaker 1: Going on a trip with your husband or your boyfriend.
- 32:09Speaker 1: It's just something to look forward to and sometimes it's
- 32:12Speaker 1: really nice, especially when you're going through a really busy period,
- 32:15Speaker 1: like personally for me, like Zach and I were going
- 32:18Speaker 1: on our trip in a few days and more so
- 32:21Speaker 1: Zach than me. But I feel like Zach's just had
- 32:23Speaker 1: a really busy past few weeks. And you know when
- 32:25Speaker 1: you can just tell that someone's like draining, like getting
- 32:28Speaker 1: drained in terms of like they've put so much energy
- 32:31Speaker 1: towards you know, work and all that, and I just
- 32:33Speaker 1: like I can tell that he just needs a break.
- 32:35Speaker 1: He works a very physical labor job, Like he's outside
- 32:38Speaker 1: in this heat for like twelve hours working his butt off,
- 32:42Speaker 1: Like I can just tell that he's so exhausted. So
- 32:44Speaker 1: for me, I just can see that, Like I feel
- 32:47Speaker 1: like he just needs this trip, you know what I mean.
- 32:48Speaker 1: Like I'm really excited to go on this trip with
- 32:50Speaker 1: him because I feel like he just needs that time off.
- 32:52Speaker 1: And I feel like a trip allows you to relax
- 32:56Speaker 1: for a period of time, and I feel like it
- 32:58Speaker 1: kind of like reires you in a way where like
- 33:01Speaker 1: it kind of brings your energy back when you get home,
- 33:03Speaker 1: and then I feel like you're also more motivated to
- 33:05Speaker 1: come back home to get work done. You're more inspired
- 33:09Speaker 1: to get you know, shit done. Like I just feel
- 33:10Speaker 1: like there's something about relaxing and getting away for a
- 33:13Speaker 1: bit and then coming back home of getting back into
- 33:15Speaker 1: a routine and you know, getting back into your work grind,
- 33:18Speaker 1: and I just feel like you almost feel like a
- 33:20Speaker 1: new person for a little bit because you're like, okay,
- 33:22Speaker 1: like I have all this motivation and energy just to
- 33:24Speaker 1: like get shit done and like get back into the
- 33:26Speaker 1: swing of things.
- 33:27Speaker 3: Yeah, because it's like you look forward to like going
- 33:30Speaker 3: back to your routine at right, So then you make
- 33:33Speaker 3: it even more of a priority when you do get home, like, Okay,
- 33:36Speaker 3: I'm going to book that workout class. I'm going to
- 33:38Speaker 3: do this because that's the routine that I miss.
- 33:41Speaker 1: And I think that's why it's so important to take
- 33:43Speaker 1: days off and take time off, because you know, when
- 33:46Speaker 1: you're doing something for such a long period of time,
- 33:48Speaker 1: it almost just kind of becomes like exhausting along with
- 33:52Speaker 1: just like you're not feeling motivated, and yeah, exactly, just
- 33:55Speaker 1: it's been it's just felt the same for too long,
- 33:58Speaker 1: where you just like you need to change scenery and
- 34:00Speaker 1: you need a change of something, right, even if it
- 34:03Speaker 1: is for a short period of time. So even going
- 34:05Speaker 1: on a week trip and doing something and then you know,
- 34:07Speaker 1: being away from your routine makes you realize like, Okay,
- 34:09Speaker 1: you miss it. You want to get back into it. Yeah,
- 34:11Speaker 1: you look forward to it. So I do think having
- 34:13Speaker 1: that break is good because it allows yourself to enjoy
- 34:16Speaker 1: that time away but come back even stronger and more
- 34:20Speaker 1: motivated too.
- 34:21Speaker 3: I really do agree with you in the sense that
- 34:24Speaker 3: it is kind of like a reset button, you know,
- 34:27Speaker 3: where you're just like you're going away for a certain
- 34:29Speaker 3: period of time and then you come back, like you said,
- 34:32Speaker 3: more motivated because you've had that time to kind of relax,
- 34:36Speaker 3: reset the brain. And yeah, you really do kind of
- 34:39Speaker 3: come back a new person in a way. And I'm
- 34:42Speaker 3: definitely looking forward. I feel like I have a lot
- 34:45Speaker 3: of fun trips that I'm trying to plan for, like
- 34:49Speaker 3: the fall time, and.
- 34:50Speaker 1: Like we're finally booking a sister trip. Yeah, we're so excited.
- 34:54Speaker 3: Literally what I was about to say, very excited to
- 34:57Speaker 3: book a cute little fall system your trip. It's actually
- 35:00Speaker 3: on my vision board, so it's.
- 35:02Speaker 2: So crazy and it's gonna happen.
- 35:04Speaker 3: I'm so excited. But yeah, definitely a little goal for
- 35:08Speaker 3: myself to book a lot of fun girls trips the
- 35:11Speaker 3: next few months and going into the new year.
- 35:14Speaker 2: Love it.
- 35:14Speaker 1: Yeah, No, we definitely are planning a fall trip and
- 35:17Speaker 1: we're so excited about it, and I think, as we said,
- 35:20Speaker 1: like booking girls trips are so important to do stuff
- 35:23Speaker 1: with your girlfriends. It doesn't always have to be with
- 35:25Speaker 1: your husband or your boyfriend. It's good to kind of
- 35:28Speaker 1: do it with other people too, because your friends are
- 35:30Speaker 1: also really important, or even family as well.
- 35:32Speaker 3: Yeah, and I feel like typically I do tend to
- 35:35Speaker 3: go on a lot of family trips, and nothing against
- 35:37Speaker 3: family trips. Love love going on a trip with my parents,
- 35:41Speaker 3: but I do feel like there's kind of just like
- 35:43Speaker 3: a different vibe when you go with your friends, and
- 35:47Speaker 3: I haven't had too many of those trips, so I'm
- 35:49Speaker 3: really trying to make that a priority for the rest
- 35:53Speaker 3: of this year and into the new year to really
- 35:56Speaker 3: plan some cute little girls trips. Okay, moving on to
- 36:01Speaker 3: the next kind of thing that we both find fills
- 36:05Speaker 3: our own cup would be moving our bodies. I feel
- 36:09Speaker 3: like we kind of touched on this when talking about
- 36:12Speaker 3: a morning ritual, but I feel like it's so important
- 36:17Speaker 3: to move your body. I really feel like moving your
- 36:20Speaker 3: body is so therapeutic, especially if you know you have
- 36:25Speaker 3: a very very busy schedule, or you're going through a
- 36:28Speaker 3: really really busy time, or just like a major life transition.
- 36:33Speaker 3: I definitely feel like making it a priority to move
- 36:36Speaker 3: your body at some point throughout the day, whether it's
- 36:39Speaker 3: waking up earlier or on your lunch break or right
- 36:43Speaker 3: after work, Like figure out a time that works best
- 36:46Speaker 3: for you to move your body if you can. I
- 36:50Speaker 3: know we're kind of going into the winter season, but
- 36:52Speaker 3: if you can being able to also go outside, yeah,
- 36:57Speaker 3: it feels so much better moving your body outside. But yeah,
- 37:01Speaker 3: just kind of taking any opportunity that you can to
- 37:05Speaker 3: move your body and be outside simultaneously. I feel like
- 37:10Speaker 3: definitely fills my cup and honestly is so therapeutic. Like,
- 37:17Speaker 3: I know so many people talk about going on long
- 37:20Speaker 3: walks without music. I've seen a lot of people talk
- 37:23Speaker 3: about that.
- 37:24Speaker 1: I've actually been doing that recently, Like that's how I
- 37:26Speaker 1: go on my list. I haven't been listening to music
- 37:27Speaker 1: or a podcast. I just walked for forty five minutes
- 37:30Speaker 1: and listen to nature.
- 37:31Speaker 3: Yeah, no, I'm a little I've never done that. I'm
- 37:33Speaker 3: a little nervous to do that. Now.
- 37:34Speaker 2: I feel like it's good. It's very very good.
- 37:36Speaker 3: I've seen a lot of people when looking at this
- 37:38Speaker 3: fill your own cup trend, a lot of people talk
- 37:40Speaker 3: about that is like long walks without music, and I
- 37:45Speaker 3: think it's like me to try that.
- 37:46Speaker 1: It's something within like you kind of just like you don't.
- 37:49Speaker 1: I feel like the music and the podcast just kind
- 37:52Speaker 1: of create almost busyness sometimes and I feel like, yeah,
- 37:54Speaker 1: that's thinking exactly, whereas I feel like when it's silence,
- 37:58Speaker 1: it's almost like a form of meditator where you're like
- 38:01Speaker 1: present and exactly and all all I'm listening to is
- 38:04Speaker 1: bird the birds, which is like the best sound ever.
- 38:07Speaker 1: All I'm listening to is birds chirping and like buzzing
- 38:10Speaker 1: noises from the bugs, and which is kind of like
- 38:13Speaker 1: we'll say, sometimes I'm like, what's in the bush?
- 38:15Speaker 4: Like is it a wolf? Is it a rabbit? Like
- 38:18Speaker 4: some coyote?
- 38:19Speaker 1: And sometimes I'm like, well, thank goodness, I don't have
- 38:21Speaker 1: my headphones in because what if I got a freaking
- 38:23Speaker 1: wolf following me from behind or a coyote or whatever.
- 38:25Speaker 3: So funny you're saying this because the other day I
- 38:29Speaker 3: tried running in the trails for the first time by myself,
- 38:31Speaker 3: and I didn't make it very far. I will say
- 38:34Speaker 3: I got a little scared to go in the trails
- 38:37Speaker 3: by myself. It was very early in the morning. To
- 38:39Speaker 3: be fair, Even my mom was a little hesitant. She
- 38:42Speaker 3: was like, do you really want to go this early?
- 38:43Speaker 3: So I feel like next time I try to run
- 38:45Speaker 3: in the trails, I might try to go a little
- 38:47Speaker 3: bit later.
- 38:48Speaker 2: Yeah, Or if you.
- 38:49Speaker 1: Want to run early in the morning, don't run in
- 38:50Speaker 1: the trails, like run more in.
- 38:51Speaker 3: A public set. Yeah, Like try to find a different yeah,
- 38:54Speaker 3: try to find a different route. But we'll see.
- 38:57Speaker 1: I think the other thing, the reason why we have
- 38:58Speaker 1: a fear of this is that our was actually chased
- 39:01Speaker 1: by a coyote.
- 39:02Speaker 4: In the specific trails that we're talking exactly.
- 39:05Speaker 3: So I'm not saying every single trail is like this,
- 39:08Speaker 3: but I think we just have a fear specifically with
- 39:11Speaker 3: the trail near my house, where I do get a
- 39:14Speaker 3: little scared that I'll be by myself running and coyote
- 39:20Speaker 3: will just come out of nowhere, especially if I'm running
- 39:23Speaker 3: with the dog, Like, oh god, yeah, I don't want
- 39:26Speaker 3: to think about it.
- 39:26Speaker 2: The dog is a snack to them, So.
- 39:28Speaker 3: That fills my cup.
- 39:29Speaker 1: Yeah, you know what, that.
- 39:30Speaker 4: Actually fills my cup too right there.
- 39:33Speaker 3: Anyways, all to say is like just being able to
- 39:37Speaker 3: move your body and be outside and whether it's you know,
- 39:42Speaker 3: going on that long walk without any music, or you know,
- 39:45Speaker 3: going to a workout class like figure out what you
- 39:49Speaker 3: look forward to. They really do feel like it makes
- 39:52Speaker 3: the biggest difference.
- 39:53Speaker 1: I do also think just like taking the time to
- 39:56Speaker 1: like actually invest in a gym membership or a work
- 40:00Speaker 1: studio or something like that. I know, sometimes financially it
- 40:03Speaker 1: could be hard. Like obviously there's ways of moving your
- 40:06Speaker 1: body free, right, like going on walks all that, but like,
- 40:09Speaker 1: for example, as Madison brought up, like the winter time,
- 40:11Speaker 1: it's a little bit harder to walk outside during those
- 40:14Speaker 1: colder months. So if it's you know, finding a cheaper
- 40:17Speaker 1: membership of going to the gym to walk on a treadmill,
- 40:19Speaker 1: or I actually invested in a walking treadmill that's foldable
- 40:23Speaker 1: from Amazon this winter. That sometimes even here in the summer,
- 40:26Speaker 1: like if it's too dark outside and I still want
- 40:28Speaker 1: to move my body, I'll whip up the treadmill put
- 40:31Speaker 1: on the summer I turned pretty, I'll walk on the
- 40:33Speaker 1: treadmill while watching it. Like finding you know, time out
- 40:36Speaker 1: of my day to still be able to get some
- 40:37Speaker 1: movement in. I think sometimes it is important to invest
- 40:40Speaker 1: in yourself in that sense where if it allows you
- 40:42Speaker 1: to be able to, you know, get workouts in and
- 40:45Speaker 1: move your body, it's one hundred percent worth your money
- 40:48Speaker 1: and you're investing in your health.
- 40:50Speaker 3: You're literally investing, Like I think that's the best way
- 40:53Speaker 3: to look at it, like not really the price point,
- 40:56Speaker 3: but like, okay.
- 40:57Speaker 1: The value that you're getting out of it, Like how
- 41:01Speaker 1: much use am I going to get out of it?
- 41:02Speaker 3: Does it make sense? Like for example, you know, Killy
- 41:05Speaker 3: was kind of talking about gym memberships, like I had
- 41:08Speaker 3: never had a gym membership before because I had a gym,
- 41:12Speaker 3: like an at home gym in my house, and so
- 41:15Speaker 3: I never felt like it was worth my money.
- 41:18Speaker 4: Yeah, I have one of the basics exactly what I mean.
- 41:21Speaker 3: But the thing is is that I never worked out
- 41:23Speaker 3: in it. I just didn't feel motivated. Like I'd always
- 41:26Speaker 3: be like, oh yeah, like i'll do it tomorrow, and
- 41:28Speaker 3: it just like that just kept I kept saying that
- 41:31Speaker 3: every single day, and it just never would happen because
- 41:33Speaker 3: I didn't have the motivation. But the second I actually
- 41:36Speaker 3: got a gym membership, like just knowing that, like this
- 41:40Speaker 3: money is coming out of my account and also just
- 41:42Speaker 3: like loving the workouts that I do. It has honestly
- 41:47Speaker 3: been like transformative, Like, yeah, I now have a consistent
- 41:52Speaker 3: workout routine, whereas like before I never did no yea
- 41:56Speaker 3: because I didn't have a gym membery.
- 41:58Speaker 4: I finally forced her out of the house doing workouts.
- 42:00Speaker 3: Anxiety, and now she loves it. I absolutely love it,
- 42:03Speaker 3: like just having that consistent workout team, and you know,
- 42:08Speaker 3: I want to go multiple times throughout the week, not
- 42:10Speaker 3: just because I'm trying to get my money's worth, but
- 42:12Speaker 3: it's also because I love it.
- 42:14Speaker 1: Yeah, And it's almost like an addiction, Like you get
- 42:16Speaker 1: addicted to going to these workout classes. And it's again
- 42:18Speaker 1: like when you're doing it with friends and when you're
- 42:20Speaker 1: doing it with family, and you know, obviously like with
- 42:24Speaker 1: you paying for it, there's that motivation, but as I said,
- 42:27Speaker 1: like the motivation of doing it with other people too
- 42:28Speaker 1: makes it more fun.
- 42:30Speaker 2: And also just getting out of the house.
- 42:32Speaker 1: Like like I feel like COVID like made us become
- 42:35Speaker 1: these homebodies where you know, of course, like doing things
- 42:39Speaker 1: at home is super convenient and like having a gym
- 42:40Speaker 1: in the basements convenient, but like I don't think it
- 42:43Speaker 1: can be done, Like I don't think I could have
- 42:45Speaker 1: an at home gym and do it every single day
- 42:48Speaker 1: throughout the week. I feel like I could do a
- 42:50Speaker 1: few days at home for sure, but I'm gonna need
- 42:53Speaker 1: a few days like out of the house.
- 42:54Speaker 2: Maybe it's just because I.
- 42:55Speaker 1: Work from home that I need that social aspect of
- 42:59Speaker 1: getting out of the house forcing myself to go to
- 43:01Speaker 1: those workout classes. Like if you work in the office,
- 43:03Speaker 1: maybe it makes more sense for you to have that
- 43:05Speaker 1: at home gym in the morning because you leave the
- 43:07Speaker 1: house regardless for your job, right, it really just depends
- 43:10Speaker 1: on your.
- 43:10Speaker 3: Whatever works best for you, Like me, especially like going
- 43:14Speaker 3: through a transition from you know, being in school being
- 43:18Speaker 3: a student to now trying to find a job like
- 43:21Speaker 3: that can be you know, a big transition to go
- 43:25Speaker 3: from to having being so busy with school to like
- 43:28Speaker 3: not really having anything, and it is a hard time
- 43:31Speaker 3: trying to navigate like what you want to do with
- 43:33Speaker 3: your career and just trying to find a job like
- 43:36Speaker 3: it definitely is a struggle and in a hard period
- 43:40Speaker 3: of your life. So I definitely feel like it has
- 43:43Speaker 3: helped so much throughout this transition, just being able to
- 43:48Speaker 3: move my body every single day because it puts me
- 43:52Speaker 3: in the right mindset, and I feel so much more
- 43:55Speaker 3: productive throughout the day in terms of finding a job
- 43:58Speaker 3: and yeah, just you know, helping with kind of like
- 44:01Speaker 3: maybe those negative thoughts about oh, I'm never going to
- 44:04Speaker 3: get a job, like just moving your body like I don't.
- 44:07Speaker 2: Know what it is.
- 44:08Speaker 3: It is and this is why I have the best movie.
- 44:11Speaker 1: This is why I push it so much too, like
- 44:12Speaker 1: with my audience and just talking about how like booking
- 44:15Speaker 1: that workout class and having that structure of routine will
- 44:18Speaker 1: literally change your life because it literally does, and it
- 44:20Speaker 1: sounds like the smallest task, but it really does make
- 44:23Speaker 1: a huge difference in your mood and your overall mental
- 44:26Speaker 1: health when you actually invest in yourself and do the
- 44:30Speaker 1: movement and doing those.
- 44:31Speaker 2: Workouts that make you feel good.
- 44:33Speaker 3: We should be sales reps for gess. Yeah, we're like
- 44:38Speaker 3: really selling it.
- 44:39Speaker 1: Yeah exact, yeah exactly, Like give us a discount maybe
- 44:43Speaker 1: because we're selling this. We don't even have a specific
- 44:45Speaker 1: one that we're selling because we also go to so
- 44:47Speaker 1: many different ones though too, right, And I think that
- 44:49Speaker 1: also helps good because it's not like we're getting bored, right,
- 44:53Speaker 1: We're going to Pilate's, We're going up you know, Matt classes,
- 44:56Speaker 1: We're actually going to be trying a gym, like an
- 44:59Speaker 1: actual gym membership. When we get back, we're going to
- 45:01Speaker 1: be trying like weightlifting classes. Sorry, yeah, when you're not
- 45:05Speaker 1: going on the trip. When I get back from my trip,
- 45:07Speaker 1: we're gonna try and do it together something that I mean,
- 45:10Speaker 1: I don't think you've ever done a weightlifting now, I'm
- 45:12Speaker 1: a little I haven't done it in years, So it's
- 45:15Speaker 1: gonna be yeah, definitely different, but again, trying something out
- 45:18Speaker 1: of our comfort zone, doing something.
- 45:20Speaker 3: Doing it with friends, so it's a little less nerve
- 45:22Speaker 3: wrecking exactly.
- 45:24Speaker 1: No one's gonna judge me, no, and if they're judging you,
- 45:26Speaker 1: they're judging me too because.
- 45:28Speaker 2: I don't know what I'm doing.
- 45:29Speaker 1: Yeah, So we're gonna stop this episode here, but we
- 45:32Speaker 1: actually are going to make this a two part series.
- 45:34Speaker 1: Since I am leaving for vacation next week, I'm gonna
- 45:37Speaker 1: make this a two part series. So if you guys
- 45:40Speaker 1: want to listen to the next episode of us talking
- 45:42Speaker 1: more about this topic of filling up our own cup,
- 45:44Speaker 1: you guys can listen to the next episode. But I
- 45:46Speaker 1: love you guys also much. Thank you guys for listening
