- 0:53[SPEAKER_01]: And today we're going to talk about the discipline
- 0:58[SPEAKER_01]: consistency is one of the most misunderstood drivers success.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_01]: We've talked about it here on daily influence.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_01]: It's part of our smart management system.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_01]: You know, many people think results come from big moments, bold moves, occasional bursts of motivation, but in business leadership, relationships, and personal growth lasting success is usually built
- 1:25[SPEAKER_01]: Another way, it's built through repeated consistent actions.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_01]: Consistency is not flashy.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_01]: It rarely gets celebrated in the moment.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_01]: It can even feel boring at times, but consistency creates trust, momentum, discipline, and results that dramatic effort alone can never sustain.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_01]: Look today, I want to talk about why consistency
- 1:50[SPEAKER_01]: matters why people struggle with it and how disciplined consistency can become one of the greatest advantages in your life and in leadership.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_01]: Trust is not usually built one conversation, one meeting or one promise at a time.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_01]: Trust is built when people know what to expect from you
- 2:12[SPEAKER_01]: When they know that you follow through, when they know that you communicate, you show up prepared, you stay grounded under pressure, your values are steady, your culture is repeatable and definable.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_01]: In leadership, people watch patterns more than they watch promises.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_01]: Anyone can perform well once.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_01]: Anyone can say the right words in the right moment, but consistency proves character over time.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_01]: When your team sees that your actions repeatedly align with your words, confidence grows on certain tea drops in stability increases.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_01]: That is important because teams do not just need talent from leaders.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_01]: They need predictability.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_01]: They need to know what kind of leadership they are walking into each and every day.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_01]: Consistency in behavior creates safety.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_01]: Safety creates trust.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_01]: trust creates stronger performance, and if people never know which version of you they're going to get, trust becomes difficult to maintain.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_01]: Many people wait to feel motivated before they act, but motivation comes and goes.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_01]: Discipline is what remains, consistency means taking action, even when the mood is not perfect.
- 3:30[SPEAKER_01]: The timing is not ideal, and, or progress feels slow.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_01]: This is where momentum actually begins.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_01]: Small repeated actions compound.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_01]: One smart conversation each day, one improvement each week.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_01]: One follow-up instead of delay.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_01]: One discipline have it repeated over time.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_01]: In a smart framework, consistency is what turns goals into measurable progress.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_01]: A goal without repeated action,
- 3:58[SPEAKER_01]: It's just intention and too often people overvalue intensity and undervalue the rhythm.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_01]: They sprint for three days and disappear for ten.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_01]: They get excited for a week and lose structure.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_01]: That cycle feels productive but it rarely creates meaningful progress.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_01]: Steady movement often beats dramatic movement.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_01]: Consistency keeps the engine running when excitement fades.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_01]: Some people think consistency is something others are born with.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_01]: They assume disciplined people simply have a natural advantage.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_01]: That is usually not true.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_01]: Consistency is built through choices, systems, and standards.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_01]: You create consistency by asking what matters most.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_01]: What must happen daily or weekly?
- 4:49[SPEAKER_01]: What can be scheduled instead of hoped for?
- 4:52[SPEAKER_01]: What behaviors support the life or business I want or we need?
- 4:58[SPEAKER_01]: This is why systems matter, calendars matter, priorities matter, routines matter, accountability matters, consistency does our required perfection and requires return.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_01]: You will have hard days.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_01]: You will miss targets.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_01]: You will lose momentum.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_01]: Not just sometimes, but a lot of times.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_01]: The discipline is not never slipping.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_01]: The discipline is returning quickly.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_01]: Strong leaders, healthy cultures, and successful people are not perfect.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_01]: They are committed to getting back on track faster than others.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_01]: The return rate becomes a hidden advantage.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_01]: Solo consistency is not glamorous, but it's amazingly powerful.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_01]: It builds trusts when others are unpredictable.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_01]: It creates momentum when others lose steam.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_01]: And it develops discipline while others rely on emotion.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_01]: If you want stronger results, you don't only ask what big move you need to make.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_01]: Ask what right action you need to repeat because success is often less about what you do once and more about what you are willing to do consistently.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_01]: Look, I'm Brian Smith.
