- 7:51Let's talk science.
- 7:53A recent study using the dark energy spectroscopic instrument, otherwise known as DESI, suggests
- 8:00that dark energy may not be as constant as previously thought.
- 8:05This challenges the conventional model, which posits that dark energy, driving the universe's
- 8:11expansion, remains unchanged over time.
- 8:15DESI's observations, particularly of baryon acoustic oscillations, indicate potential
- 8:21variations in dark energy's strength.
- 8:24While these findings are preliminary, they hint at the possibility of evolving dark energy,
- 8:30potentially reshaping our understanding of the cosmos.
- 8:34This revelation comes as part of broader efforts to refine cosmological models, with new data
- 8:39anticipated from upcoming large-scale sky surveys.
