Latest / Twin Cities Territory / 🚨Twins call up star prospect Kaelen Culpepper
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Well, welcome to the people who are filing in. We
- 0:03Speaker 1: have some news on this Friday morning. There's another pro
- 0:07Speaker 1: sports Minnesota Culpeper. Come on, Dan, do it with me.
- 0:13Speaker 2: I'm gonna let you do that. Hey, you got to
- 0:17Speaker 2: bring something to the show. So, like I figur, it's
- 0:20Speaker 2: all I.
- 0:20Speaker 1: Got for the I hope the twelve people watching enjoyed
- 0:24Speaker 1: that the Twins have called up star prospect Kaitlin Culpeper,
- 0:30Speaker 1: primarily a short step had a glute strain injury earlier
- 0:35Speaker 1: this year, but it's back now. The glute strain pandemic
- 0:40Speaker 1: running through the Twins right now, but Culpepper is up.
- 0:44Speaker 1: It's something fans have been clamoring for for a long time. Dan,
- 0:46Speaker 1: why was now the time to do it? In the Twins' eyes?
- 0:50Speaker 2: Yeah, Look, I think the Twins looked at this as
- 0:54Speaker 2: the offense needs to get going right. We're nineteen games
- 0:58Speaker 2: in after the All Star break, and potentially right now,
- 1:01Speaker 2: they've scored three runs or fewer in eleven of those games.
- 1:04Speaker 2: We've seen them have trouble with with the athletics with
- 1:09Speaker 2: Kansas City, with just offense has not been very functional,
- 1:13Speaker 2: and Ryan Kreiler's absolutely shored up the Defense, but his
- 1:19Speaker 2: ops has dropped since he's kind of taken over the
- 1:21Speaker 2: starting role. He's hitting somewhere around five hundred. So I
- 1:24Speaker 2: think they're looking at bringing up Colepepper and maybe it'll
- 1:27Speaker 2: be a combo of the two. Like I don't think
- 1:31Speaker 2: we'd see Ryan Kreidler disappear from the flanneup all together.
- 1:34Speaker 2: He's been so valuable to them and as a leader.
- 1:38Speaker 2: He organized the movie going to event the other day.
- 1:41Speaker 2: He's the one that rented out the theater so they
- 1:44Speaker 2: could see Spider Man. They were supposed to see the
- 1:46Speaker 2: odysty in that that changed last minute, but.
- 1:50Speaker 3: Oh wait, they didn't see the Odyssey.
- 1:53Speaker 2: A bunch of guys did, like Bailey Ober and Joe
- 1:57Speaker 2: Ryan and Royce Lewis and Royce Lewis and Trevor Larnak
- 2:01Speaker 2: did a double feature. They went to the ten thirty
- 2:04Speaker 2: Odyssey and they were willing to miss about like fifteen
- 2:07Speaker 2: minutes of Spider Man, and they caught up with the
- 2:10Speaker 2: rest of the guys in Spider Man. But they wanted
- 2:12Speaker 2: to see the Odyssey, so they got up early and
- 2:14Speaker 2: went and everybody was looking for a distraction. Anyways, Kredler
- 2:16Speaker 2: set that whole plan in motion. Credler's still going to
- 2:19Speaker 2: play for this team. His defense is too good. He's
- 2:22Speaker 2: had some good moments. I think, you know, maybe he's
- 2:25Speaker 2: been a little bit exposed offensively, just you know, he's
- 2:30Speaker 2: never been a guy that's hit in the majors and
- 2:32Speaker 2: seen every day. It's hard. They were given him good
- 2:35Speaker 2: matchups early on, and so this allows the Twins to
- 2:39Speaker 2: still play Kredler. But Culpepper's been you know, he's done
- 2:45Speaker 2: nothing to hurt his prospect status the entire time since
- 2:50Speaker 2: he's been drafted. He got drafted about twenty six months ago,
- 2:54Speaker 2: and he's just kept knocking on the door ever since
- 2:58Speaker 2: and going into this year. At the start of the year,
- 3:01Speaker 2: one reason the Twins were reluctant to have him come
- 3:04Speaker 2: in was because he you know, defensively, they had questions.
- 3:08Speaker 2: They weren't sure if he was the shortstop, and they
- 3:10Speaker 2: were really worried if he was a shortstop or not.
- 3:14Speaker 2: He's answered those questions. I had someone tell me in June,
- 3:17Speaker 2: prior to the glute injury, that he was already a
- 3:19Speaker 2: plus five defender defensively, which you know, the Twins this
- 3:24Speaker 2: year are somewhere around minus fifteen at shortstop, and Kridler's
- 3:28Speaker 2: been really solid. Kredler's been like a plus one, I believe.
- 3:31Speaker 2: But between brooks Lee and Tristan Gray, they were both
- 3:34Speaker 2: minus eight at shortstop and it just wasn't They weren't
- 3:38Speaker 2: having the success defensively early on, which obviously led to
- 3:43Speaker 2: multiple changes at their shortstop position. And now here we
- 3:46Speaker 2: are where Kalen Culpeper is coming up and the Twins.
- 3:50Speaker 2: I mean, it's got to be exciting for Twins fans
- 3:52Speaker 2: because all my mentions have said the last couple of
- 3:55Speaker 2: days are with the offense struggling as much as it is.
- 3:58Speaker 2: Where Walker Jenkins, Where's Kalyn Culpepper? Here you go, So
- 4:03Speaker 2: four pitchers added in July and August, and now you
- 4:06Speaker 2: got a short stop too.
- 4:09Speaker 1: Dan Hayes here, of course, is the Athletics Twins beat writer.
- 4:12Speaker 1: He wrote about Culpepper's call up earlier this morning. He
- 4:15Speaker 1: can read it on the Athletic right now. But here's
- 4:19Speaker 1: who he is if you're not too familiar. Twenty three
- 4:21Speaker 1: years old, it's his third season in the Twins system.
- 4:23Speaker 1: He has flown up the ranks. He went to double
- 4:26Speaker 1: a last year in his second season and was the
- 4:28Speaker 1: Twins Minor League Player of the Year and has been
- 4:31Speaker 1: in Triple A all season this year, hitting two seventy
- 4:34Speaker 1: one with an eight to forty five ohps, fourteen homers,
- 4:36Speaker 1: forty six RBIs in seventy four games, and he unfortunately
- 4:41Speaker 1: not related to Dante Culpepper.
- 4:43Speaker 2: So just I don't think he's good to do that.
- 4:45Speaker 2: You don't think he'll do that himself.
- 4:48Speaker 3: I mean we'd eat it up.
- 4:49Speaker 1: You know, if if he wants to make that his
- 4:52Speaker 1: home run celebration, I think it would go over pretty well.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Yeah, I think people are gonna like Kayln colepeper burn
- 5:00Speaker 2: enough as it is. I don't think he has to
- 5:03Speaker 2: do anything contrived or flashy. But you know, I mean,
- 5:07Speaker 2: you you keep pushing. If you want to come out
- 5:09Speaker 2: to that in practice and show him, we can get
- 5:13Speaker 2: some video footage of that and you can teach him maybe.
- 5:16Speaker 1: I mean, it's not too complicated. I don't know that
- 5:18Speaker 1: I need to show him, but uh, be good content,
- 5:22Speaker 1: I guess if you will.
- 5:24Speaker 2: Yeah, it's just it's it's.
- 5:25Speaker 1: The traveling motion basketball, to just start slow and then
- 5:29Speaker 1: speed up. It's you know, there's not much to it, but.
- 5:32Speaker 2: You really simplified it for me. Now, I feel like
- 5:35Speaker 2: I'll probably practice the rest of the day now, you know,
- 5:40Speaker 2: like I like this move, like for the aggressiveness, like
- 5:44Speaker 2: you think about and and it just sort of feels
- 5:48Speaker 2: like the Twins are taking a different approach this year.
- 5:52Speaker 2: They brought up kailing Or, they brought up Connor Prelip,
- 5:56Speaker 2: and they brought up Kenry Rojas very early in the season.
- 5:59Speaker 2: They you know, they were looking for injury replacements when
- 6:03Speaker 2: Mickabel went down. They were looking, you know, they were
- 6:07Speaker 2: they were pretty aggressive putting Mickabel in the rotation to
- 6:09Speaker 2: start the season as it was. And and they've continually
- 6:13Speaker 2: brought up the young guys and they've just tried to
- 6:16Speaker 2: make the moves that they haven't in the past. There
- 6:19Speaker 2: there seems to be urgency from the front office and
- 6:22Speaker 2: there it felt like that's been the case all year
- 6:25Speaker 2: and this just kind of goes along with that. I
- 6:27Speaker 2: feel like bringing them up, you know, it is aggressive move,
- 6:32Speaker 2: but also it's what is called for. Right now, this
- 6:34Speaker 2: offense is stalling out, and the Twins they're serious about
- 6:37Speaker 2: what they want to do. You know, I know that
- 6:40Speaker 2: they've struggled and it was a frustrating start to this
- 6:44Speaker 2: road trip. They're two and four so far. The offense
- 6:47Speaker 2: just isn't doing a whole lot. In fact, if they
- 6:50Speaker 2: don't rally for a three run deficit off that that
- 6:52Speaker 2: Royals bullpen again last night, you go one in five,
- 6:56Speaker 2: You finish the season series four and nine against Kansas City,
- 7:00Speaker 2: which would have just been that's terrible. I mean, Kansas
- 7:04Speaker 2: made a joke about it on social media last night,
- 7:06Speaker 2: is like, you know, I haven't looked at the standings
- 7:08Speaker 2: in a while, but Kansas City, who must be in
- 7:10Speaker 2: first place by a large margin. And then I was like, oh, oh, no,
- 7:16Speaker 2: Kansas City sucks. I mean, Kansas City has got the
- 7:19Speaker 2: twins number. Noah Cameron had a good rookie year last year,
- 7:22Speaker 2: but he has just dominated them and it feels like
- 7:25Speaker 2: he put them in to a spell. So the timing
- 7:29Speaker 2: is right here. They absolutely needed to do something to
- 7:31Speaker 2: jump start this offense. Byron Buckston, it's not he said yesterday,
- 7:35Speaker 2: it's slow going with his return, but he is starting
- 7:39Speaker 2: to pick it up. But Bron Buckson is not doing
- 7:41Speaker 2: baseball activity right now, so you know we're talking about
- 7:45Speaker 2: you know, probably a little bit longer. He's July twenty
- 7:48Speaker 2: ninth when he went on the il, and you know
- 7:51Speaker 2: it's going to be I'm guessing it's gonna be at
- 7:54Speaker 2: least ten days, but it's probably longer. I don't who knows.
- 7:57Speaker 2: They have to get it right with Byron Buckston. Can't
- 8:00Speaker 2: take a chance and bring him back and then have
- 8:03Speaker 2: the hip bug him again. So there's gonna be certainty.
- 8:06Speaker 2: And he said he appreciated yesterday the way that the
- 8:10Speaker 2: training staff has gone with his approach all season and
- 8:15Speaker 2: it hasn't worked, and so now he's gonna adhere more
- 8:19Speaker 2: to them and give it a little extra time. So
- 8:22Speaker 2: that makes me think, you know, last time was seventeen days.
- 8:24Speaker 2: I believe before he came back. It's gonna be a
- 8:27Speaker 2: little bit here for Byron bucks And so what way
- 8:30Speaker 2: can you spark the offense? Kln Culpeper is a good,
- 8:33Speaker 2: good shot at it, you know, power speed, gombo and
- 8:38Speaker 2: you know he's he's been hitting. I think he's seven
- 8:41Speaker 2: for seventeen in his last four games. He struggled initially
- 8:44Speaker 2: coming back off the glute injury. And remember he had
- 8:47Speaker 2: a glute injury like this could have happened in mid June.
- 8:50Speaker 2: He was going and he basically you know, was hitting
- 8:57Speaker 2: well and suffered the glute injury, came back for two
- 9:00Speaker 2: games at the end of June, had a reoccurrence of
- 9:02Speaker 2: a glute injury and really didn't get back until the
- 9:05Speaker 2: end of July, and has struggled early on.
- 9:09Speaker 1: There's always pressure in a young player's first opportunity in
- 9:15Speaker 1: the major leagues. But I guess as these situations go,
- 9:18Speaker 1: this one's easier that you know, this team is getting
- 9:22Speaker 1: three four hits a game right now, so it's like,
- 9:26Speaker 1: if you can give us one every week, we'll take
- 9:29Speaker 1: it like it's you know, he will see what we see.
- 9:33Speaker 1: It's always a big jump to go to the bigs.
- 9:35Speaker 1: But yeah, if if he can, if he can give
- 9:38Speaker 1: that spark and maybe join Royce Lewis as another twin
- 9:42Speaker 1: who's actually hitting the ball right now, it's it's a
- 9:45Speaker 1: huge deal. The team needs something and this is what
- 9:48Speaker 1: you can do at this time of year. Why not
- 9:49Speaker 1: try it. Seeing some questions in the chat, one of
- 9:53Speaker 1: them is about who's going out, the answer is, we
- 9:56Speaker 1: don't know, and it feels a little weird to speculate,
- 9:59Speaker 1: but you can draw your own conclusions on calling up
- 10:02Speaker 1: a shortstop and what that means. The other question I
- 10:06Speaker 1: think that also came to my mind right away is
- 10:09Speaker 1: is Walker Jenkins next? And do we know anything there
- 10:12Speaker 1: Dan about what the plans might be for him.
- 10:15Speaker 2: Okay, so I would think that Walker Jenkins would be
- 10:18Speaker 2: up if Byron Buxton was out for an extended period
- 10:23Speaker 2: Walker Jenkins, the idea would be to play him every day,
- 10:27Speaker 2: and I don't think that they want to one he's
- 10:29Speaker 2: not on the forty Man, and I know Kaylen Culpepper
- 10:31Speaker 2: wasn't on the forty Man. That's part of the reason
- 10:33Speaker 2: why we don't have an official move yet, because someone's
- 10:37Speaker 2: going to have to go off the forty Man, and
- 10:39Speaker 2: again we don't. We're not speculating. I learned a real
- 10:42Speaker 2: good lesson from former twin Pat Neeschek about that way
- 10:46Speaker 2: back when about what seculated I saw him on. I
- 10:50Speaker 2: saw him on the phone in the clubhouse, in the
- 10:52Speaker 2: Padres clubhouse, and they were making him move, and I
- 10:57Speaker 2: thought that that was him going out to talk to
- 11:00Speaker 2: somebody like his agent, and instead it was I tweeted
- 11:04Speaker 2: about it, and Pat is very online, like always has been,
- 11:09Speaker 2: like had a good social media presence early on, and
- 11:11Speaker 2: so it must have been like twenty eleven, and he
- 11:14Speaker 2: tweeted back in me, Yeah, I was on the phone
- 11:16Speaker 2: with my wife and I was like, oh, I speculated
- 11:19Speaker 2: on some guy's career and suggested he might be the
- 11:23Speaker 2: one being moved. And it was like, yeah, I'm never
- 11:26Speaker 2: doing that again, Like and that's stuck with me. So,
- 11:29Speaker 2: I mean, I know there's plenty of speculation about who
- 11:32Speaker 2: is probably leaving the twenty six man roster, and I mean,
- 11:36Speaker 2: I I you know, a lot of it looks accurate
- 11:39Speaker 2: to me, but I mean, I don't know for sure.
- 11:41Speaker 2: The Twins got into to Milwaukee super late, Like I
- 11:44Speaker 2: heard about this at one point thirty in the morning
- 11:47Speaker 2: or two in the morning, something like that. And you're
- 11:51Speaker 2: getting in and you're going to your hotel room and
- 11:53Speaker 2: you're going to bed and you're wait until the next
- 11:55Speaker 2: day starts. So I don't think they want whatever player
- 11:58Speaker 2: to wake up and see that they're going out. But
- 12:02Speaker 2: as far as Walker Jenkins, I just think that they
- 12:06Speaker 2: would want him to play every day if he came
- 12:08Speaker 2: to the majors that this isn't the case right now,
- 12:11Speaker 2: because you know, you look around and they have a
- 12:13Speaker 2: bunch of guys that are platooning, and I understand the
- 12:16Speaker 2: desire for Walker Jenkins. He hit two home runs yesterday.
- 12:19Speaker 2: I would say one would not be a home run
- 12:21Speaker 2: probably in the majors that I think the APO.
- 12:24Speaker 1: Shot, don't nitpick, Come on.
- 12:26Speaker 2: Hey, ninety one point off the bat, it's down for
- 12:30Speaker 2: a double.
- 12:31Speaker 1: In Oakland or Sacramento, it might be and they play
- 12:34Speaker 1: there a couple of weeks ago.
- 12:35Speaker 2: Correct. But but like I understand the desire to see
- 12:40Speaker 2: Walker Jenkins. He looks awesome. We've talked about it before
- 12:43Speaker 2: in the show. He's saving fainting children, like he's a
- 12:46Speaker 2: super cool right, But I think the way that we
- 12:49Speaker 2: see him as if there's a more set, wide open role.
- 12:52Speaker 2: I also think does the do the Twins want to
- 12:56Speaker 2: have two rookies up at once trying to learn the
- 12:59Speaker 2: major for the first time. It's a big challenge, the
- 13:04Speaker 2: going from Triple A to the majors. The difference in
- 13:08Speaker 2: pitching is so like they talked about the difference the
- 13:12Speaker 2: gap being as big as it's ever been. You can
- 13:15Speaker 2: see it. Look a bunch of guys are hitting nine
- 13:17Speaker 2: hundred ops is in Triple A and they come to
- 13:19Speaker 2: the majors and they struggle. Look at you know, Kyler
- 13:21Speaker 2: Fedko came up and unfortunately he had a I believe
- 13:25Speaker 2: a season ending injury at Triple A in this last week,
- 13:28Speaker 2: which really sucks because he's a great dude who came
- 13:31Speaker 2: up and you know, really turned himself into this potential
- 13:35Speaker 2: major leaguer by selling out for power. And he came
- 13:39Speaker 2: up and you saw how difficult the leap was. I mean,
- 13:43Speaker 2: I know, he scored a run, I know he drove
- 13:45Speaker 2: in a run, never got the single, never got the
- 13:48Speaker 2: first space hit, and struck out a ton. And we
- 13:51Speaker 2: saw it last year with Carson McCusker. We've seen it
- 13:54Speaker 2: with guys come up and just making that leap is huge.
- 13:58Speaker 2: So trying to two rookies at a time when you're
- 14:02Speaker 2: trying to like that might be too challenging. I mean,
- 14:05Speaker 2: I don't I'm not saying that it's not something that
- 14:08Speaker 2: a team can do, but it adds another level. But
- 14:11Speaker 2: right now, Kaitlyn Culpepper's could come up and there's a
- 14:14Speaker 2: chance he'll struggle, like this is a huge leap. The
- 14:17Speaker 2: consistency of off speed, the consistency of commanders.
- 14:21Speaker 3: Welcome to the big leagues.
- 14:22Speaker 1: Here's the Brewers for your first game Jacobi on Sunday.
- 14:28Speaker 2: Yeah, there's no Jacob Minzerowski's at Triple A, and like
- 14:32Speaker 2: you know, I mean so, so there's gonna be a
- 14:35Speaker 2: learning curve, and I think to have two guys on
- 14:38Speaker 2: learning curves might be a little bit of a challenge.
- 14:41Speaker 2: Now again, if if Byron Buckston was out for the season,
- 14:44Speaker 2: we might see something different, but that's not the case
- 14:47Speaker 2: right now. There there were optimistic Brons getting better and
- 14:50Speaker 2: coming back, and so unless there's full time at bats,
- 14:53Speaker 2: I don't think we'll see Walker Jenkins. Could be wrong,
- 14:56Speaker 2: but you know that's just my thoughts on it.
- 14:59Speaker 1: Do they expect to have Culpepper tonight in the lineup
- 15:03Speaker 1: in Milwaukee?
- 15:04Speaker 2: I would, or at least with the team he'll be with.
- 15:07Speaker 2: He's definitely come and join that. But I'm almost certain
- 15:11Speaker 2: he's making his major league debut because I don't think
- 15:14Speaker 2: I would have found out last night when I did
- 15:17Speaker 2: if if he wasn't. You know, I don't think they're
- 15:20Speaker 2: going to waste tame time. I don't know who they're
- 15:22Speaker 2: facing tonight. If it's a lefty, you better be in there,
- 15:26Speaker 2: because it.
- 15:26Speaker 1: Is Shane Drow and two lefties to start the series,
- 15:30Speaker 1: so there we know how that goes Peper will be
- 15:35Speaker 1: in the lineup.
- 15:36Speaker 2: I predict both nights. The Twins are really struggling against
- 15:39Speaker 2: left handed pitching the year. It's just been not fun
- 15:43Speaker 2: to watch and and so they're looking to switch it
- 15:45Speaker 2: up and do anything they can and that that certain
- 15:48Speaker 2: certainly would be a solution.
- 15:50Speaker 3: We're gonna wrap it up soon here.
- 15:52Speaker 1: If you have any final questions to put in the chat,
- 15:56Speaker 1: feel free to do so. One note, since we're here,
- 16:00Speaker 1: we talked on Wednesday or Thursday. Sorry about how cold
- 16:04Speaker 1: the offense has gotten for the Twins, especially the stuff
- 16:07Speaker 1: they used to be doing so well earlier in the season.
- 16:09Speaker 1: Hitting with runners in scoring position, hitting with two outs
- 16:12Speaker 1: just not happening. And then hey, they got the big
- 16:14Speaker 1: hit last night to end the losing streak. Brooks Lee
- 16:17Speaker 1: coming through, found a hole and it was nice to
- 16:20Speaker 1: see the Twins dig their way out of one.
- 16:23Speaker 2: Brooks Lee like it was a sixty eight mile an
- 16:25Speaker 2: hour ground ball with the eyes last night to get
- 16:28Speaker 2: them through. And if you remember earlier in the game,
- 16:31Speaker 2: he hit that line drive. He just absolutely smoked the
- 16:33Speaker 2: line drive and Josh Bell was dumped off. There was
- 16:37Speaker 2: nowhere for Josh Bell to go. That was like one
- 16:39Speaker 2: oh four or one oh six off Brooksley's bat, And
- 16:42Speaker 2: I mean he was afterwards asking him about it. He's like,
- 16:45Speaker 2: this game is brutal. Man. He's like, I'm just glad
- 16:47Speaker 2: that got through. He's like, we were just absolutely crushing
- 16:51Speaker 2: the ball. And it's funny. Last night, the Twins on
- 16:54Speaker 2: hard hit balls, so it's ninety five miles per hour
- 16:57Speaker 2: or more, the Twins were three for eleven on hard
- 16:59Speaker 2: hit ball. Hard hit balls typically have a much higher
- 17:04Speaker 2: battan average expected bad and average the slug that goes
- 17:07Speaker 2: with them. That's the kind of stuff that turns into
- 17:09Speaker 2: extra base hits. Three for eleven is two seventy three.
- 17:13Speaker 2: That's not bad. It's probably about three hundred points short
- 17:17Speaker 2: of the expected average on those balls. And the Royals
- 17:20Speaker 2: just kept whether it was their positioning or they're just
- 17:24Speaker 2: outstanding defense. To Royals really stimy the Twins the whole series.
- 17:29Speaker 2: I mean, it just felt like everything hard hit found
- 17:31Speaker 2: a glove for three days and last week two. The
- 17:35Speaker 2: Twins are very happy to be moving on from the
- 17:37Speaker 2: Royals and done with them for the season.
- 17:41Speaker 1: In this stretch of just lousy offense, shout out Royce
- 17:46Speaker 1: Lewis one more time. He's got an eleven game hitting streak,
- 17:49Speaker 1: three hitting three sixty six with a one point one ZHO,
- 17:52Speaker 1: three ops in that time, three homers, some big hits
- 17:56Speaker 1: for the Twins in that stretch. Obviously, the walk off
- 17:59Speaker 1: against Kansas City in the home series last week been
- 18:03Speaker 1: quite a stretch for him. I think we get another
- 18:06Speaker 1: question maybe two oh. Will Buston be back for the
- 18:11Speaker 1: Field of Dreams game. I'm assuming no at this point.
- 18:14Speaker 2: I don't think so. I just think it's gonna be
- 18:16Speaker 2: the fact that he hasn't done baseball activities. I'm sure
- 18:19Speaker 2: he'd love to. He said he's itching to get back,
- 18:21Speaker 2: but again the last time now he did take as
- 18:24Speaker 2: he got a shot this time, so that might have
- 18:27Speaker 2: changed things with his recovery. But he hasn't done any
- 18:31Speaker 2: kind of baseball activities in that game six days away
- 18:33Speaker 2: at this point, so I think that's highly unlikely.
- 18:37Speaker 3: Makes sense.
- 18:38Speaker 1: Thanks everybody for watching today. We really appreciate it. We
- 18:42Speaker 1: hope to go live more as this season gets to
- 18:46Speaker 1: the business end. Hopefully they give us reason to do so.

- 18:51Speaker 1: Toss us a like a subscribe however you watch or listen.

- 18:56Speaker 1: is a QR code on the screen to make it
- 18:59Speaker 1: easy to subscribe. Get notified every time we go live
- 19:02Speaker 1: or have another taped show. We think this is it
- 19:07Speaker 1: till Monday. We said that on Thursday, but here we
- 19:11Speaker 1: are talking Caitlin Culpeper. So Brewers up next Friday through Sunday,
- 19:16Speaker 1: a really really tough game set of games for a
- 19:18Speaker 1: team that is struggling for sure, but we'll see if
- 19:20Speaker 1: the Twins can do with it. Still very much in
- 19:23Speaker 1: the race. A half came out in the Wildcard. They
- 19:25Speaker 1: actually gained ground these last three days on both Chicago
- 19:28Speaker 1: and Cleveland, despite winning just one of three in Kansas
- 19:31Speaker 1: City because they were both swept Chicago in Boston, who
- 19:33Speaker 1: is just beating everything and everybody, and the Guardians at
- 19:37Speaker 1: home to the Mets, which it's a very tough stretch
- 19:41Speaker 1: for the Twins. It's Brewers, It's Baltimore, which is still feisty,
- 19:46Speaker 1: then Philly in the Field of Dreams game, then Atlanta
- 19:50Speaker 1: and then at San Diego and after all that, if
- 19:53Speaker 1: they can emerge from that still in this race, they
- 19:56Speaker 1: have five straight Ale Central series against Chicago, up and coming,
- 20:00Speaker 1: Detroit to each there, and then Cleveland.
- 20:03Speaker 3: So here we go, everybody.
- 20:04Speaker 1: We're gonna find out the final verdict on this team
- 20:07Speaker 1: real soon. Thanks again for listening, We appreciate it. We
- 20:09Speaker 1: will see you Monday on Twin Cities Territory.
- 20:12Speaker 3: Bye, everybody,
