- 0:00Speaker 1: This is 710WOR, where the Mark Simone Show starts now.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Hey, it's Wednesday already. Big night for the Yankees. We'll
- 0:14Speaker 2: get to that. We'll get to crazy, evil Jack Smith.
- 0:17Speaker 2: We'll get to Cornell. We'll get to Mamdani. A lot
- 0:20Speaker 2: of Mamdani news. We'll get to AI. You know, everybody's
- 0:24Speaker 2: afraid of AI. They want regulation. They want this and
- 0:26Speaker 2: this with the president. Had quite a gathering yesterday, pretty
- 0:31Speaker 2: impressive group. All the tech leaders, all the big tech
- 0:37Speaker 2: CEOs were all there around one big conference table. He
- 0:41Speaker 2: had Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk, and he had the
- 0:45Speaker 2: chairman of Anthropic, chairman of Google, NVIDIA, OpenAI, Jeff Bezos.
- 0:52Speaker 2: All these guys were there. You know how much brainpower?
- 0:55Speaker 2: Forget the fact that there was probably a trillion dollars
- 0:58Speaker 2: worth of wealth in that room and maybe more actually.
- 1:01Speaker 2: But the average IQ in that room was like 180, 190.
- 1:06Speaker 2: So they have come out with the answer what to
- 1:08Speaker 2: do about AI. You don't want government regulation only because
- 1:12Speaker 2: these 90-year-old congressmen, they have no idea what to do
- 1:16Speaker 2: about AI. They don't even begin to understand how it works.
- 1:19Speaker 2: Do you want Bernie Sanders to be running your AI
- 1:23Speaker 2: for you? They have no clue. So they've come up
- 1:28Speaker 2: with the answer. Oh, look what they've come up with.
- 1:34Speaker 2: They're going to implement internal controls.
- 1:38Speaker 3: Aha.
- 1:39Speaker 2: Ooh, internal controls. Well, that's not all. They're going to
- 1:44Speaker 2: implement an internal team. Ooh. And they're going to have monitoring.
- 1:51Speaker 2: They're going to also have an independent external auditor. I
- 1:58Speaker 2: don't know what this is going to do, but it
- 1:59Speaker 2: sounds good. They are going to designate a committee. Ooh,
- 2:07Speaker 2: a committee. Wow. That'll take care of things. The committee will... Also,
- 2:12Speaker 2: all the companies will meet regularly to establish standards and
- 2:16Speaker 2: best practices. Over time, it will... Might make sense... Might
- 2:21Speaker 2: make sense to codify some of these steps into laws
- 2:24Speaker 2: or regulations. You already have these laws about... product liability
- 2:28Speaker 2: and all that. But so they're basically going to police themselves.
- 2:32Speaker 2: You know, the truth is, if this AI, and I'm
- 2:35Speaker 2: sure it is, is as powerful as everybody says, and
- 2:37Speaker 2: it can take over everything and wipe us all out, well,
- 2:41Speaker 2: then we had better be in control of it, not China.
- 2:46Speaker 2: Nuclear weapons are nothing compared to this. So we better
- 2:49Speaker 2: be the leader in this. And if we slow down
- 2:51Speaker 2: or stop, China will get ahead of us and control AI.
- 2:54Speaker 2: They are already recruiting more AI engineers than we are.
- 2:59Speaker 2: But we've got to stay ahead on this. So that's
- 3:01Speaker 2: the most important thing. President Trump, after the meeting.
- 3:04Speaker 4: Well, I think I'm seeing tremendous self-policing. And they understand
- 3:08Speaker 4: that they have to self-police. And it's very hard for
- 3:11Speaker 4: somebody to come out and say, get into these models.
- 3:13Speaker 5: These models are very complex.
- 3:15Speaker 2: Yeah, well, if you wanted a guy to really do
- 3:18Speaker 2: the right thing and police the whole thing, I think
- 3:20Speaker 2: Mark Zuckerberg is your guy. I'm kidding.
- 3:22Speaker 6: I'm kidding.
- 3:23Speaker 7: Now.
- 3:24Speaker 2: There's going to be an AI committee, a committee.
- 3:27Speaker 4: We're also thinking about forming a committee of sorts where
- 3:31Speaker 4: we put maybe 10 people on that committee. It could
- 3:33Speaker 4: be from that group so that we can, so the
- 3:36Speaker 4: committee can watch over the whole enterprise.
- 3:40Speaker 2: Problem solved. I'm going to have a committee. Oh, well,
- 3:45Speaker 2: what did he actually say? Wait a minute.
- 3:46Speaker 5: We're also thinking about forming a committee.
- 3:48Speaker 8: Okay.
- 3:48Speaker 2: So it's not exactly a committee. They're thinking of a committee,
- 3:52Speaker 2: but they'll keep thinking about it.
- 3:54Speaker 5: They're going to work to make the community happy.
- 3:57Speaker 2: Yeah, they also got into data centers. The data centers
- 4:01Speaker 2: are just big, huge buildings that bring a ton of
- 4:05Speaker 2: money into a community and a lot of jobs. But
- 4:09Speaker 2: the electricity problem they've solved, the water problem they've solved,
- 4:12Speaker 2: they just make a lot of noise. They got these
- 4:14Speaker 2: turbines that do the cooling work. that create not only noise,
- 4:18Speaker 2: but a vibration and a hum. For about a half
- 4:20Speaker 2: a mile away, it's pretty bad. You can faintly hear
- 4:22Speaker 2: it a mile away, but it's in a half mile
- 4:24Speaker 2: radius where it's pretty bad. But they'll figure out what
- 4:27Speaker 2: to do about that.
- 4:28Speaker 4: They're going to work to make the community happy. That
- 4:32Speaker 4: might be supplying oil and gas. It might be supplying education.
- 4:37Speaker 4: It may be helping teachers along financially, helping people along financially.
- 4:42Speaker 2: Yeah, they have so much money. These data companies, that's
- 4:47Speaker 2: what they'll do. They just pass it. I told you
- 4:49Speaker 2: yesterday about this one place in Pennsylvania they want to
- 4:51Speaker 2: build one. The town's opposing it. They offered a $ 10, 000
- 4:55Speaker 2: check to everybody in town. They offered to donate $ 100
- 4:58Speaker 2: million to police and fire and all that. So they'll
- 5:01Speaker 2: do stuff like that. Hey, they put an airport near you.
- 5:04Speaker 2: It's noisier than the data center and more dangerous. And
- 5:09Speaker 2: you don't see the airport running around giving everybody checks
- 5:11Speaker 2: or paying for the local police and all that. But
- 5:14Speaker 2: so this is the key to the AI problem. Self-regulation.
- 5:18Speaker 5: There's a belief that there should be tremendous self-regulation.
- 5:22Speaker 4: And we automatically have regulation with the Department of Justice,
- 5:25Speaker 4: the FBI, all of that.
- 5:27Speaker 5: But the self-regulation is very important.
- 5:30Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 5:31Speaker 2: Now, here's the real problem. You got all of these guys.
- 5:34Speaker 2: Why would these guys all of a sudden be interested
- 5:37Speaker 2: in government regulation? These guys control AI right now. basically
- 5:41Speaker 2: four companies that control AI. It's a cartel. They control it.
- 5:45Speaker 2: They kind of like a lot of regulation because it
- 5:48Speaker 2: creates a fence around this, a lot of red tape
- 5:51Speaker 2: and bureaucracy. So no newcomer company can come in and
- 5:55Speaker 2: compete with them. So once they've got it all controlled,
- 5:58Speaker 2: they like to close the gate and no one else
- 6:00Speaker 2: can get in. So that's the idea.
- 6:01Speaker 4: This is one more example of why I will never
- 6:04Speaker 4: stifle the growth of technology that will be bigger than The.
- 6:08Speaker 10: Industrial Revolution, this is why the SI superintelligence is, they're saying,
- 6:15Speaker 10: bigger than the Industrial Revolution.
- 6:17Speaker 2: Well, he's right about that. Again, if it's the most
- 6:21Speaker 2: powerful thing in the world, if it could kill everybody,
- 6:24Speaker 2: if it could control us, wipe us out, we have
- 6:26Speaker 2: to be the leader, not China. So we do have
- 6:29Speaker 2: to stay on top of it. Hey, awful, evil Jack Smith.
- 6:34Speaker 2: This is the dirtiest prosecutor in the world, this Jack Smith. He's,
- 6:39Speaker 2: as I say, they could have picked a special counsel.
- 6:42Speaker 2: They needed a special counsel to go after Trump. 1,200
- 6:44Speaker 2: people right in the D.C. area, perfect for it. They
- 6:47Speaker 2: went halfway around the world to bring this guy back
- 6:50Speaker 2: because he's a known hitman. That's what he's been doing
- 6:52Speaker 2: for years. He's a hitman. When you need to go
- 6:55Speaker 2: after a Republican, you need a dirty prosecutor to go
- 6:58Speaker 2: after Republicans. Jack Smith is your guy. He's done it
- 7:01Speaker 2: for years a number of times. And by the way,
- 7:03Speaker 2: in each case, When it finally got to a very
- 7:06Speaker 2: high court, they overturned everything he did. Good example is
- 7:09Speaker 2: when he went after a Republican governor, Virginia McDonald. He
- 7:13Speaker 2: got him on 12 things, got him indicted, convicted. Finally
- 7:16Speaker 2: went to the Supreme Court where they ruled that everything
- 7:19Speaker 2: he was charged with was just crummy political nonsense. And
- 7:23Speaker 2: they dropped everything and they reprimanded Jack Smith. So that's
- 7:26Speaker 2: his history. Hit man when you need to go after
- 7:29Speaker 2: a Republican. But his history is also is he always
- 7:32Speaker 2: gets caught in the end and exposed. So If you
- 7:38Speaker 2: haven't seen it, go watch the video of Jack Smith
- 7:41Speaker 2: on the stand. You could see he's a real gangster.
- 7:43Speaker 2: First of all, he's like a bug-eyed weirdo, but a
- 7:46Speaker 2: real scary-looking gangster type of a guy. So he made
- 7:52Speaker 2: an opening statement where, if you look at his history,
- 7:55Speaker 2: he's only gone after Republicans. If you look at what
- 7:57Speaker 2: he did here with Trump, with the documents, all he
- 8:01Speaker 2: did was go after Trump, every Trump donor. Every organization
- 8:06Speaker 2: that supported Trump, he went after them. Charlie Kirk's organization,
- 8:10Speaker 2: Turning Point, he went after them. He went after donors.
- 8:14Speaker 2: It was obviously just to frighten everybody, terrorize everybody, trying
- 8:18Speaker 2: to stop Trump. Now, when it comes to classified documents,
- 8:22Speaker 2: Trump had the fewest of any president in the history
- 8:24Speaker 2: of the world. In the end, he only had 35.
- 8:26Speaker 2: Joe Biden had 8,000. So if you're investigating this stuff,
- 8:32Speaker 2: why would you go after Trump and not the guy
- 8:34Speaker 2: that had literally two, three thousand times as many documents?
- 8:38Speaker 2: But he made this opening statement saying he's totally neutral,
- 8:40Speaker 2: he's not partisan.
- 8:41Speaker 11: I stand by my decisions as special counsel, including my
- 8:45Speaker 11: decision to bring charges against President Trump. I made those
- 8:49Speaker 11: decisions without regard to President Trump's political association, activities, beliefs,
- 8:56Speaker 11: or candidacy in the 2024 presidential election.
- 9:01Speaker 2: Again, it was strictly Trump hatred. We had the dirtiest
- 9:03Speaker 2: attorney general ever, Merrick Garland, who they got to get
- 9:07Speaker 2: to him under oath too. But why, when you got
- 9:10Speaker 2: 1200 special counsels in DC, why did he go halfway
- 9:13Speaker 2: around the world to bring in this gangster? But Smith,
- 9:18Speaker 2: with a straight face, said all this nonsense.
- 9:20Speaker 11: The status, power, prominence, or political affiliation of the subject
- 9:26Speaker 11: of an investigation is must play no role in the
- 9:29Speaker 11: decision to investigate, prosecute, or decline to prosecute.
- 9:34Speaker 2: Yeah, right. But again, the guys with a thousand times
- 9:38Speaker 2: more classified documents never went after them.
- 9:40Speaker 12: Never.
- 9:40Speaker 2: Never went after them. And then we got that Senator Kennedy.
- 9:46Speaker 2: He jumps in there.
- 9:47Speaker 13: When you went to Judge Boasberg, you didn't even tell
- 9:51Speaker 13: him you were seeking the phone records. of members of Congress,
- 9:55Speaker 13: did you? Because you knew he wouldn't agree. He would say, hey, counselor,
- 10:01Speaker 13: anybody who knows a law book from a J. Crew
- 10:03Speaker 13: catalog knows that this violates the Constitution.
- 10:07Speaker 6: But you didn't tell him, did you?
- 10:10Speaker 2: That came out. It was a long hearing yesterday, but
- 10:12Speaker 2: a lot of really dirty stuff about Jack Smith came out,
- 10:16Speaker 2: the things he did. The things he covered up. Kennedy
- 10:19Speaker 2: was great.
- 10:20Speaker 11: We sought nondisclosure orders from the court.
- 10:22Speaker 2: You didn't tell him, did you?
- 10:24Speaker 11: In seeking nondisclosure orders, we did not disclose.
- 10:27Speaker 13: You didn't tell him, but you're unbiased. You have no
- 10:32Speaker 13: personal feelings. You make me want to throw up in
- 10:38Speaker 13: my mouth.
- 10:40Speaker 2: Yeah, he got the, hey, Ted Cruz was good.
- 10:43Speaker 14: You can sigh all you like. It's a very simple question.
- 10:45Speaker 14: You know damn well you did. You've been questioned about
- 10:48Speaker 14: the checks that you guys got. You know the answer.
- 10:52Speaker 14: So why don't you answer the question? Did your team
- 10:56Speaker 14: obtain donor and fundraising information?
- 10:59Speaker 2: It's a yes.
- 10:59Speaker 6: You can say yes.
- 11:02Speaker 11: I do not recall the attachments to specific subpoenas.
- 11:07Speaker 2: Yeah, it was a lot of that. I do not recall. Yeah,
- 11:11Speaker 2: he's very the creepiest guy ever. This Jack Smith. Anyway,
- 11:16Speaker 2: we'll get back to him. Hey, Iran has put out
- 11:21Speaker 2: a propaganda letter. They do these all the time, but
- 11:24Speaker 2: this is a 25-page letter. It's addressed to the American people.
- 11:29Speaker 2: We all got a letter from Iran. It's urging everybody
- 11:32Speaker 2: to oppose President Trump in the midterm elections. The IRGC
- 11:37Speaker 2: is trying to sway the November 3rd elections. They openly
- 11:40Speaker 2: admit it. They said this is the purpose of the letter.
- 11:43Speaker 2: They want you to vote against Republicans, vote against Trump.
- 11:45Speaker 2: They want to get Democrats in. because Democrats are generally
- 11:48Speaker 2: nice to them. Democrats pay the money, make an agreement,
- 11:52Speaker 2: here's some more money. So they want Democrats in. Now,
- 11:57Speaker 2: a lot of people who would know this kind of
- 11:59Speaker 2: stuff think they're on the verge. They're right on the
- 12:01Speaker 2: brink of total collapse in Iran. Scott Besson thinks they've
- 12:06Speaker 2: got a couple of weeks. General Petraeus reporting they're right
- 12:09Speaker 2: on the brink and they only got a few weeks.
- 12:11Speaker 2: And one of the problems now for them, the Strait
- 12:15Speaker 2: of Hormuz, that's their leverage, keeping it closed. Well, apparently
- 12:18Speaker 2: it's open. And we've developed so many other routes to
- 12:23Speaker 2: bring the oil out that pre-war, it was averaging about
- 12:28Speaker 2: 18 million barrels a day coming out of there. Well,
- 12:31Speaker 2: we got it up some days to 17 million. They
- 12:34Speaker 2: think now the average conservative estimate, 13 million barrels a day.
- 12:39Speaker 2: So it's at 72% of normal output. Also, they've started
- 12:45Speaker 2: using other routes, other pipelines. For instance, the East-West Pipeline,
- 12:49Speaker 2: the Saudis started using that. That's doing 7 million barrels
- 12:53Speaker 2: a day. So with the Strait of Hormuz closed, now
- 12:57Speaker 2: listen to this number. With the Strait of Hormuz closed,
- 13:00Speaker 2: we've gotten a billion barrels of oil out in the
- 13:04Speaker 2: last few months. One billion barrels have come out. That's
- 13:10Speaker 2: why oil has dropped down. Remember, oil had hit 105.
- 13:13Speaker 2: It's now 90. It's coming down. But we're averaging about
- 13:17Speaker 2: 13 million barrels a day. There was one day we
- 13:20Speaker 2: got 17 million barrels out of the Strait of Homeless,
- 13:24Speaker 2: which is pretty much what it was before the conflict.
- 13:28Speaker 2: And it's getting better and better all the time. So, hey,
- 13:32Speaker 2: that fight with Canada, the tariffs, all of that, well,
- 13:37Speaker 2: It's getting ugly, and the U.S. has now banned some
- 13:41Speaker 2: Canadian imports. Yeah, it sounds serious. They've banned certain things
- 13:46Speaker 2: that are not allowed in. They're banned from Canada. Beer.
- 13:51Speaker 2: Is there a Canadian beer anybody likes? I don't think so.
- 13:57Speaker 2: Canadian beer? I can't even think of one. Canadian wine.
- 14:01Speaker 2: I don't know anybody that's ever been in a restaurant
- 14:04Speaker 2: and said, what kind of Canadian wine do you have?
- 14:07Speaker 2: I don't think anybody's ever said that. Cider. Great. I
- 14:12Speaker 2: could live without cider. Canadian whiskey. Well, that was big
- 14:17Speaker 2: during Prohibition, but since then, I don't think we need it.
- 14:20Speaker 2: Canadian rum, Canadian gin, Canadian vodka. You see, vodka is
- 14:24Speaker 2: supposed to be European. It's supposed to be Russian. It's
- 14:27Speaker 2: not supposed to be Canadian. Toronto vodka doesn't sound great.
- 14:32Speaker 2: Canadian brandy. Again, this doesn't sound good. Canadian liqueur. I
- 14:38Speaker 2: think we'll survive. I think we'll survive this ban. Yankees, big, big,
- 14:42Speaker 2: big night last night. First game of the wild card.
- 14:45Speaker 2: If they win tonight, they've clinched the wild card and
- 14:48Speaker 2: they move on. So I wasn't crazy about the announcing.
- 14:53Speaker 2: You need an announcer who gets excited, you know, like
- 14:55Speaker 2: a John Sterling, like a Phil Rizzuto, like a Mel Allen.
- 15:00Speaker 2: But this was an amazing moment. Bases loaded. That guy
- 15:04Speaker 2: comes up and hits a grand slam. Incredible moment.
- 15:10Speaker 1: He hammers this ball. Right center field.
- 15:13Speaker 6: It is a slam!
- 15:21Speaker 2: Again, not enough. John Sterling would be yelling and screaming.
- 15:24Speaker 2: Rizzuto would be giving that. Holy cow! And a slam?
- 15:29Speaker 2: You're too lazy to say grand slam? It's a slam?
- 15:32Speaker 2: So that was Rice. What a night for Ben Rice.
- 15:35Speaker 1: Six RBIs, four hits tonight, two homers, a single, and
- 15:39Speaker 1: a double. And he just put this game.
- 15:43Speaker 2: Out of reach. You're supposed to yell. You're supposed to
- 15:45Speaker 2: get excited. But it was quite a night. Yankees play
- 15:49Speaker 2: again tonight. If they win tonight, they move on. They're
- 15:52Speaker 2: going to have to do all this without Aaron Judge,
- 15:54Speaker 2: but so far they've been great. Hey, we'll get to
- 15:56Speaker 2: Mamdani throughout the program. The Pieta tear-tacks. is, well, the
- 16:03Speaker 2: people fighting this Pietro Terra tax won a huge victory,
- 16:07Speaker 2: huge victory. Now, they took it to court in Staten Island,
- 16:10Speaker 2: which tends to be conservative anti-Mamdani, so that was the
- 16:14Speaker 2: right place. Now, Mamdani and company will try to get
- 16:17Speaker 2: it moved to friendlier courts, but the court ruled, now
- 16:21Speaker 2: they didn't rule against the tax, they just ruled that
- 16:24Speaker 2: the way Mamdani went about it, the rollout, was absolutely wrong, terrible, disgusting.
- 16:30Speaker 2: We'll get into it. We'll give you all the details
- 16:32Speaker 2: on this, but it's temporarily blocked. Although Mamdani has appealed
- 16:36Speaker 2: it immediately. And the good news is a lot of
- 16:39Speaker 2: billionaires are jumping in on this fight. It used to
- 16:41Speaker 2: be a lot of these homeowners and Randy Master, who's
- 16:44Speaker 2: a great attorney, former deputy mayor for several administrations, top,
- 16:49Speaker 2: top guy. He's the one filing the lawsuit, but other
- 16:52Speaker 2: people are jumping in now. Steve Wynn.
- 16:55Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 16:56Speaker 2: Look, Las Vegas Steve Wynn, he lives in Palm Beach now,
- 17:01Speaker 2: but he has a huge pied-a-terre in New York City.
- 17:05Speaker 2: He got his pied-a-terre tax bill, $ 183, 000. He's fighting this.
- 17:10Speaker 2: Wilbur Ross, the former Commerce Secretary, has got a place
- 17:15Speaker 2: in Southampton, and so he filed it there. Same thing
- 17:19Speaker 2: with Wynn. They got places in New York City, but
- 17:22Speaker 2: they filed in Southampton, thinking it's a friendlier court to them. Anyway,
- 17:26Speaker 2: we'll get back to this. We've got a lot to
- 17:27Speaker 2: get to today. It's Mark Simone here, 9 to noon.
- 17:31Speaker 2: That's right. It's three hours now. We start at 9 now.
- 17:33Speaker 2: 9 to noon every day here on 710WOR. Mark Simone
- 17:40Speaker 2: on 710WOR. Well, here's a good story in the news. Now,
- 17:45Speaker 2: this guy is a Trump hater, a huge, huge Trump hater,
- 17:50Speaker 2: real Trump derangement syndrome. He's a professor at NYU. He's
- 17:55Speaker 2: a podcaster. Well, who isn't? He's a NYU professor, hates Trump,
- 18:00Speaker 2: a podcaster. And he admitted that, you know, a lot
- 18:05Speaker 2: of these professors make a lot of money. You know,
- 18:07Speaker 2: you think they're underpaid. Professors make a lot of money nowadays.
- 18:12Speaker 2: And they can work at several colleges at the same time.
- 18:15Speaker 2: And it's not, you know, 80,000 a year for a professor.
- 18:17Speaker 2: It's like 350, 400,000 a year. And some of them
- 18:21Speaker 2: work in two or three universities. So, Trump gets elected 2016.
- 18:25Speaker 2: He hates Trump so much that he sells all his stock.
- 18:29Speaker 2: He had a lot of stock. He sells his stock. Well,
- 18:35Speaker 2: as you know, under Trump, the stock market has boomed.
- 18:40Speaker 2: And when Trump came back in 24, the stock market
- 18:44Speaker 2: really took off. It's broken 80 records in just the
- 18:48Speaker 2: last year and a half. So this guy, this Trump hater, podcaster, professor,
- 18:53Speaker 2: has admitted it cost him half of his net worth.
- 18:57Speaker 2: Lost half his net worth. You'd say, well, why didn't
- 19:00Speaker 2: you just buy back? Well, because when it soars like that,
- 19:04Speaker 2: now it's overpriced. You can't buy back in as easily. Hey,
- 19:07Speaker 2: Kathy Hochul has a ton of money, record-breaking amount of
- 19:10Speaker 2: campaign cash. It's the final stretch of the campaign. Midterms,
- 19:15Speaker 2: the governor election here in New York, that's 34 days away.
- 19:19Speaker 2: It's basically one month left. Hochul raised another $ 8. 5 million.
- 19:26Speaker 2: She spent a ton of money, yet she still has
- 19:29Speaker 2: $ 33 million in cash on hand. $ 33 million is a
- 19:34Speaker 2: stunning amount for a gubernatorial candidate. That's a lot of money.
- 19:38Speaker 2: $ 33 million in cash to spend. So she can easily
- 19:42Speaker 2: spend a million dollars a day now. And you see
- 19:45Speaker 2: she's got these ads all over the place attacking Blakeman.
- 19:48Speaker 15: Now.
- 19:50Speaker 2: Attack ads on Blakeman to take that as a compliment
- 19:54Speaker 2: that means she's looked at her internal polling and she's
- 19:57Speaker 2: in trouble or it's close that's why she's spending all
- 20:00Speaker 2: that cash right now and take it as a real
- 20:03Speaker 2: compliment to Bruce Blakeman They have done opposition research on
- 20:09Speaker 2: him like you wouldn't believe. They have investigated everything about
- 20:13Speaker 2: Bruce Blakeman. And what did they come up with? Nothing. Nothing.
- 20:20Speaker 2: They couldn't find anything. So all the attack ads are
- 20:24Speaker 2: about how he's a friend of Trump's, how he likes Trump,
- 20:26Speaker 2: how he's a longtime friend of Donald Trump's. That's all
- 20:29Speaker 2: they got on the guy. That's the only thing they
- 20:32Speaker 2: could find. So it's quite a compliment to Blakeman. Hey,
- 20:37Speaker 2: Larry Ellison, he's one of these not just billionaires, but
- 20:41Speaker 2: a guy worth like $ 200 billion. So a lot of
- 20:45Speaker 2: these guys move into Florida. Larry, they just want to
- 20:48Speaker 2: get the hell out of California because it's a disaster there.
- 20:51Speaker 2: So he moved to Manalapan. That's just below Palm Beach.
- 20:55Speaker 2: Manalapan became the very, very hot area real estate-wise. In fact,
- 21:01Speaker 2: Trump was quietly advising people about two, three years ago,
- 21:04Speaker 2: buy Manalapan. It's going to go nuts. It's right. You'd
- 21:08Speaker 2: think it's Palm Beach. It's just next to Palm Beach,
- 21:11Speaker 2: just below Palm Beach. There's that Ritz Carlton that was
- 21:15Speaker 2: there for years. It's now becoming a Nobu Hotel. But
- 21:18Speaker 2: Manalapan's a hot area. So Larry Ellison bought a house there.
- 21:22Speaker 2: $ 173 million for a house in Florida. $ 173 million in
- 21:27Speaker 2: Florida for a house. Remember when a house used to
- 21:30Speaker 2: cost Nothing in Florida. Now it's 173 million. And that's Manalapan.
- 21:36Speaker 2: That's not Bombay. So he bought this big house. Now
- 21:38Speaker 2: he's got a big staff in his house, big household staff.
- 21:42Speaker 2: But the problem is when you have a big household
- 21:46Speaker 2: staff and the area becomes really expensive, the staff, the maids,
- 21:50Speaker 2: the cooks, they can't afford to live in the area.
- 21:53Speaker 2: So Ellison just went and bought them all houses near him.
- 21:57Speaker 2: Eight homes. Eight smaller homes. In gated communities, he paid
- 22:03Speaker 2: $ 10 million for it so the staff can live within
- 22:06Speaker 2: 20 minutes of his house. So his household staff gets
- 22:10Speaker 2: houses from him. His house is 15 acres. It's pretty impressive, actually.
- 22:18Speaker 2: We'll get back to Jack Smith. Dirty Jack Smith getting
- 22:21Speaker 2: caught on all kinds of stuff. Michigan Democrat, the crazy
- 22:27Speaker 2: Democrat in Michigan, Abdul El-Sayed. He was on the Chuck
- 22:33Speaker 2: Todd podcast. See, I'm telling you, everybody has a podcast.
- 22:37Speaker 2: Every fired idiot. Now, this is like the Tucker Carlson,
- 22:41Speaker 2: Megyn Kelly type podcast where Chuck Todd, same thing. They're
- 22:45Speaker 2: out of work. Nobody will hire him. So they're doing
- 22:47Speaker 2: it in their pajamas from home. The Chuck Todd podcast.
- 22:53Speaker 2: I'm telling you about it because nobody's watched it. Nobody's
- 22:55Speaker 2: seen it. But he's got El Sayad on it. And
- 22:58Speaker 2: Syed said he wants to go on Bill Maher's show
- 23:00Speaker 2: and whoop his ass. All right. I think Bill Maher
- 23:05Speaker 2: can handle Abdul Al-Syed. And it's not a great sign
- 23:11Speaker 2: when you have nothing else to do but the Chuck
- 23:14Speaker 2: Todd podcast. That's not a good sign. Not a good
- 23:17Speaker 2: sign at all. Hey, remember the Dolly Parton song, 9
- 23:20Speaker 2: to 5? Great hit back then. You listen to it now,
- 23:22Speaker 2: you realize how brilliant this song was. Cup of Ambition.
- 23:25Speaker 7: So.
- 23:26Speaker 2: Dolly Parton wrote that and she always thought about that line.
- 23:29Speaker 2: It's a great line. Pour me a cup of ambition.
- 23:32Speaker 2: And she thought about coming up with her own coffee.
- 23:34Speaker 16: When I was filming 9 to 5, I wrote a
- 23:36Speaker 16: song called 9 to 5. And it started out by saying,
- 23:39Speaker 16: pour myself a cup of ambition. But I thought the
- 23:42Speaker 16: cup of ambition would be a fantastic name for a
- 23:45Speaker 16: coffee brand. And I've been working towards this for over
- 23:48Speaker 16: 40 years. And I think you won't be able to
- 23:50Speaker 16: find a better cup of coffee out there. And shoot,
- 23:54Speaker 16: who couldn't use some more ambition?
- 23:59Speaker 2: It seems everybody has a podcast and almost everybody has
- 24:02Speaker 2: a coffee brand they put out. Companies have their own
- 24:04Speaker 2: coffee brand. Hotels have their own coffee brand. Certain celebrities
- 24:09Speaker 2: have their own coffee brand. Now, how do you do that?
- 24:12Speaker 2: There's coffee companies that just make generic coffee. And you
- 24:16Speaker 2: go to one of these companies, you tell it what
- 24:17Speaker 2: you want. I want this kind of flavor, this kind
- 24:20Speaker 2: of coffee. And they make it for you. And you
- 24:23Speaker 2: just get a designer to design some logos and you
- 24:25Speaker 2: put it on there. So, They're not actually making coffee.
- 24:28Speaker 2: They've got a company to make it for them. So
- 24:30Speaker 2: all those different people that have their own coffee, it's
- 24:33Speaker 2: basically all from the same company anyway. Hey, we've got
- 24:36Speaker 2: a lot to get to. We'll take some calls a
- 24:37Speaker 2: little later on. It's Mark Simone here, 9 to noon
- 24:41Speaker 2: every day. We're three hours now, 9 to noon, 710WOR.
- 24:45Speaker 1: It's the Mark Simone Show. Live from the WOR LifeVac studios.
- 24:52Speaker 2: Hey, we'll take some calls, 800-321- 0710 is the number. 800-321-0710.
- 25:01Speaker 2: It's fall. It's officially autumn. You go into a store,
- 25:10Speaker 2: there's a lot of Halloween stuff for sale. On the
- 25:14Speaker 2: news today, they're talking about the Rockefeller Center tree already.
- 25:17Speaker 2: They've announced the date, November 7th. It's like a month away.
- 25:22Speaker 2: They've already announced the date. The tree is coming November
- 25:25Speaker 2: 7th and then December, whatever it is, 8th. They'll light
- 25:29Speaker 2: it up. Anyway, let's take some calls. 800-321-0710 is the number.
- 25:34Speaker 2: Let's go to Mike in Florida. Let's see if the
- 25:37Speaker 2: phone works.
- 25:38Speaker 9: Mike?
- 25:39Speaker 2: No, it's not working. Still can't do it. Did you
- 25:42Speaker 2: do it?
- 25:43Speaker 12: Good morning, Mark.
- 25:43Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 25:44Speaker 2: Yeah, go ahead, Mike.
- 25:46Speaker 17: Morning, Mark.
- 25:47Speaker 12: I'm so happy you mentioned the announcing from last night's
- 25:50Speaker 12: Yankee game.
- 25:52Speaker 7: It was so bad.
- 25:53Speaker 12: And not only was it dull, but I don't remember
- 25:57Speaker 12: Frank Messer or Bill White talking about the angle of
- 26:01Speaker 12: inflection of the batter's swing, you know, for nine innings
- 26:05Speaker 12: back in the day. And that's something else that I
- 26:08Speaker 12: like to point out to people who don't pay attention.
- 26:11Speaker 12: The way it's directed, it's one close-up shot of the pitcher,
- 26:14Speaker 12: close-up shot of the batter, lots of quick takes, and
- 26:17Speaker 12: you never see the field. You never see any action.
- 26:20Speaker 2: Yeah, that's true. You're right.
- 26:22Speaker 12: Terrible. They shoot like a bad music video.
- 26:25Speaker 2: So who are these announcers? Are they the TV announcers?
- 26:28Speaker 2: The NBC?
- 26:28Speaker 12: They must be the network announcers, so they have to
- 26:30Speaker 12: be impartial. It's not Michael Kay and Paul O'Neill.
- 26:37Speaker 2: And who was the greatest Yankee announcer ever?
- 26:41Speaker 12: Well, I like Rizzuto and White. I like Frank Messer.
- 26:45Speaker 12: He was considered dull at the time, but I like
- 26:47Speaker 12: him because he just did the game. No histrionics. I
- 26:53Speaker 12: like him.
- 26:54Speaker 6: I mean, I remember Mel Allen.
- 26:55Speaker 12: And Red Barber and Jerry Coleman back in the day.
- 26:58Speaker 12: They were very exciting guys. And they would do it, and.
- 27:01Speaker 7: I was watching a game.
- 27:02Speaker 18: It was like a.
- 27:03Speaker 12: World Series game, and Rizzuto was doing it by himself.
- 27:07Speaker 12: He didn't even have anybody. He did nine innings by
- 27:09Speaker 12: himself back when he was first starting out.
- 27:12Speaker 2: Rizzuto was great. All right, thanks for calling, Mike. Yeah, no,
- 27:15Speaker 2: Rizzuto was phenomenal. But he'd yell. You got to yell.
- 27:19Speaker 2: You got to go, holy cow. You got to scream.
- 27:21Speaker 2: Mel Allen would scream. John Sterling would be screaming. You
- 27:25Speaker 2: can't just go, well, that looks like a home run.
- 27:28Speaker 2: And it's a grand slam. That's the biggest thing there is,
- 27:31Speaker 2: a grand slam. Listen to this guy. He can't even
- 27:33Speaker 2: say grand slam. He has to abbreviate it.
- 27:37Speaker 1: He hammers this ball right center field.
- 27:40Speaker 6: It is a slam.
- 27:48Speaker 2: It's a slam? What is that? It's a grand slam.
- 27:51Speaker 2: It was a slam. Anyway, let's go to Anthony in
- 27:54Speaker 2: the Bronx. Anthony, how you doing? Hey, Mark.
- 27:58Speaker 7: Go Buchanan.
- 27:59Speaker 2: Oh, it's the Go Buchanan guy. So, all right. Thanks
- 28:02Speaker 2: for calling. Yeah, I can't... I don't know. The buttons
- 28:05Speaker 2: still don't work here.
- 28:06Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 28:08Speaker 2: Still dead on the phone. All right. Let's try... Let's
- 28:11Speaker 2: go to Mike in Brooklyn. Mike, how you doing?
- 28:14Speaker 19: Hey, good morning, Mark.
- 28:15Speaker 2: How's everything? Good.
- 28:17Speaker 19: With the Yankees, actually, Michael K was on the ESPN radio.
- 28:21Speaker 19: His call was much better than all of the TV commentators.
- 28:25Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 28:26Speaker 11: And then.
- 28:28Speaker 19: And then also the second thing, Mark, that you see
- 28:30Speaker 19: the news this morning about that attempted airline hijacking from
- 28:34Speaker 19: Dubai to Tel Aviv.
- 28:35Speaker 2: Yeah, it looks more like a terrorist attack than a
- 28:37Speaker 2: simple hijacking. It looks like a terrorist attack where they
- 28:40Speaker 2: got somebody on a plane, a terrorist, who tried to
- 28:42Speaker 2: stab the pilot. Frightening, frightening situation. Amazing that they got
- 28:47Speaker 2: that plane down. But thanks for calling. Yeah. The game
- 28:53Speaker 2: is NBC, right? Yeah, NBC. Channel 4 had the game.
- 28:56Speaker 2: NBC Network. What happened to Bob Costas? Get Bob Costas back.
- 29:00Speaker 2: I don't think he's with NBC anymore. And he went
- 29:03Speaker 2: a little crazy with the Trump derangement syndrome. I think
- 29:06Speaker 2: that was the problem. Didn't he get a little too
- 29:07Speaker 2: political on football? One of those telecasts, he got way
- 29:12Speaker 2: too political. And even NBC got nervous with him on
- 29:16Speaker 2: the air. So they don't make announcers like that anymore.
- 29:22Speaker 2: Most of the greats, the real greats, were ex-players like Rizzuto.
- 29:26Speaker 2: But there were many that weren't ex-players, Michael Kay and
- 29:28Speaker 2: John Sterling. They were just great announcers. So you need
- 29:31Speaker 2: more of that. Anyway, let's go to uh rich on
- 29:34Speaker 2: his car phone rich how you doing hey.
- 29:38Speaker 20: Mark hey rich uh real quick question because i've seen
- 29:43Speaker 20: the loose lost track of it uh what's what's going
- 29:46Speaker 20: on with fauci you don't hear a word about him.
- 29:49Speaker 2: Well, Fauci's in hiding because he's in all kinds of
- 29:53Speaker 2: legal jeopardy. He's been caught lying and all kinds of crap.
- 29:57Speaker 2: He's been caught profiteering like crazy off the pandemic. They've
- 30:01Speaker 2: gone after him a little, and he is in hiding.
- 30:05Speaker 2: He's really, really, really worried about prosecution. He's got to
- 30:10Speaker 2: get through— well, if the Democrats win Congress— in November. That
- 30:18Speaker 2: could help him. That would stop the hearings. But there's
- 30:21Speaker 2: going to be criminal referrals against Fauci. Really, really, really
- 30:25Speaker 2: bad guy. And besides the lying and the crap that
- 30:28Speaker 2: he pulled in the profiteering, just getting stuff wrong. It's
- 30:32Speaker 2: amazing how much stuff he got wrong. And now people
- 30:35Speaker 2: looking at his history, he did the same thing in
- 30:37Speaker 2: the AIDS pandemic. He just got a lot of stuff
- 30:39Speaker 2: wrong all the time. Hey, P. Diddy, Sean Puffy Diddy Doody,
- 30:45Speaker 2: whatever the hell his name is this week. You know,
- 30:48Speaker 2: he's in prison. He's in Fort Dix. There's a prison there. Apparently,
- 30:54Speaker 2: he is living very well. He is living quite a life.
- 30:58Speaker 2: They take care of him in prison. The guards, everything.
- 31:01Speaker 2: He's got a phone. He's making all the calls he wants.
- 31:04Speaker 2: He's got porn. He's got booze. He's got a tablet
- 31:08Speaker 2: and a Netflix account he can watch. And you remember
- 31:12Speaker 2: the scene in Goodfellas where they're eating lobsters and steaks
- 31:14Speaker 2: and the guards are bringing them bottles of wine. And
- 31:17Speaker 2: apparently that's the case here. Prison. Remember Wolf of Wall
- 31:22Speaker 2: Street where he goes to prison and he was so
- 31:25Speaker 2: afraid of prison. And then the Wolf of Wall Street,
- 31:27Speaker 2: he said, hey, when I got there, I realized it's
- 31:30Speaker 2: a place where you can buy anything you need. If
- 31:33Speaker 2: you got money, you can buy everything. So he's just
- 31:36Speaker 2: bribing the guards, bribing everybody. And just like in Goodfellas.
- 31:40Speaker 2: eating steak and lobster every night and having a great time.
- 31:43Speaker 2: So Diddy's serving 50 months, although there's a push now
- 31:48Speaker 2: for him to get out a little earlier. We'll see. Hey, Cornell,
- 31:55Speaker 2: the rape allegations, they have so mishandled all of this
- 31:59Speaker 2: that the people that were applying, students that were applying,
- 32:02Speaker 2: parents that were, you know, like crazy, dropping their applications.
- 32:10Speaker 2: They want nothing to do with Cornell. They find the
- 32:13Speaker 2: handling of these rape accusations to cover up all this
- 32:16Speaker 2: stuff absolutely disgusting. They say hundreds of people have dropped
- 32:21Speaker 2: their applications to Cornell. Let's take one more call. Let's
- 32:25Speaker 2: go to Myrna Williamsburg. Myrna, how you doing?
- 32:29Speaker 21: Oh, I'm so excited. Hello, and God bless you. Oh, Myrna.
- 32:34Speaker 21: I have tried to reach you for about three weeks,
- 32:36Speaker 21: and you guys are so busy. I just wanted to
- 32:39Speaker 21: be able to say how excited and happy I am
- 32:42Speaker 21: to know you're back on the air, and you've been
- 32:44Speaker 21: on the air, but I've been unaware of it. I
- 32:46Speaker 21: used to listen to you, correct me if I'm mistaken,
- 32:48Speaker 21: on WNEW. Yes. You used to do Sinatra.
- 32:52Speaker 9: Yes.
- 32:53Speaker 21: About 30, 40 years ago.
- 32:54Speaker 2: Well, where have you been for the last few years?
- 32:57Speaker 21: I've been around, sir. I didn't know how successful you
- 33:00Speaker 21: had become.
- 33:00Speaker 9: Why'd you stop listening?
- 33:03Speaker 21: And because, you know, I'm a senior now and I
- 33:07Speaker 21: got involved in other senior things.
- 33:09Speaker 2: Well, aside from Mahjong and pickleball, well, you could have
- 33:13Speaker 2: had time to listen.
- 33:14Speaker 21: Well, now I've been listening to you regularly. OK, and
- 33:18Speaker 21: I'm just so happy I got through today. And my
- 33:21Speaker 21: next question, no, my comment is, why can't you be
- 33:24Speaker 21: the baseball announcer? I would think you'd be great. Is
- 33:26Speaker 21: it too late for you?
- 33:28Speaker 2: I can't even watch an old game. I'm going to
- 33:30Speaker 2: announce an old game. I don't know. You've got to
- 33:32Speaker 2: know all kinds of stuff. I don't know who all
- 33:34Speaker 2: these players are.
- 33:35Speaker 12: You've got to know a lot.
- 33:37Speaker 21: I think I've seen you. Excuse me, because I know
- 33:39Speaker 21: you have time to have to get rid of me.
- 33:41Speaker 21: But what about, don't you do PBS or one of
- 33:43Speaker 21: the old songs?
- 33:44Speaker 2: Well, I did a lot of PBS shows for years.
- 33:47Speaker 2: They don't really do those things anymore. Budget cuts over there.
- 33:50Speaker 2: They don't. But Myrna, we're glad you're back.
- 33:54Speaker 21: Call us.
- 33:56Speaker 2: Call us again. Keep listening. Glad you're back. It's Mark
- 33:59Speaker 2: Simone here. Nine to noon. It's three hours every day.
- 34:01Speaker 2: Nine to noon. And then at noon, you got Buck
- 34:05Speaker 2: and Clay with a big show every day. And then
- 34:06Speaker 2: you got the most listened to radio show in America,
- 34:09Speaker 2: Sean Hannity, three o'clock. And don't forget Jimmy Fallon. 9
- 34:13Speaker 2: to midnight here on 710WOR.
- 34:16Speaker 1: The Mark Simone Show. Now 9 till noon weekdays.
- 34:21Speaker 5: On 710WOR.
- 34:22Speaker 2: Hey, you hear that commercial? Halloween already. Halloween stuff already. Hey,
- 34:26Speaker 2: it's going to be a nice day today. It'll be
- 34:30Speaker 2: a bit of sunshine. It'll be like 75 today. It'll
- 34:32Speaker 2: be 80 on Friday. Hey, we got two more hours
- 34:35Speaker 2: to go coming up on 710WOR. Mark Simone's on WOR. Well,
- 34:47Speaker 2: wait a minute. Hour number two, if you just joined us,
- 34:52Speaker 2: we start at nine o'clock every day now. That's right.
- 34:55Speaker 2: The show's three hours now, nine to noon every day
- 34:58Speaker 2: here on 710WOR. So that disgusting, creepy, bug-eyed, weirdo, dirty
- 35:05Speaker 2: Jack Smith on hearings yesterday. They went after him. Everybody
- 35:13Speaker 2: taking shots at him. He opens with a redemptive. ridiculous
- 35:16Speaker 2: statement about how he's non-partisan he is does not had
- 35:20Speaker 2: nothing to do with trump there is politics this is
- 35:23Speaker 2: like these statements iran puts out we have nothing to
- 35:26Speaker 2: do with terrorism we've never supported terrorism we never wanted
- 35:29Speaker 2: a nuclear weapon same thing as iran and same kind
- 35:32Speaker 2: of credibility so this is holly going after him i've.
- 35:36Speaker 22: Been watching this whole hearing i've watched everything you said
- 35:39Speaker 22: i noticed that you began by saying i have no
- 35:41Speaker 22: partisan loyalty And you repeat it over and over and over.
- 35:45Speaker 22: There's nothing in your investigation about politics.
- 35:48Speaker 2: That's hilarious.
- 35:49Speaker 22: In fact, your investigation was all about politics. You twice
- 35:54Speaker 22: indicted a presidential candidate, the leading presidential candidate and a
- 35:58Speaker 22: former president of the United States, during a presidential election
- 36:02Speaker 22: against all Justice Department policy, against all Justice Department history,
- 36:07Speaker 22: something never before seen or contemplated in 250 years of
- 36:10Speaker 22: this country's history. You did it anyway, all for the
- 36:13Speaker 22: purpose of keeping Donald Trump off the ballot.
- 36:18Speaker 2: Everything he did. was totally against all policy. It was
- 36:22Speaker 2: totally unethical, immoral. It was disgusting trying to stop this guy.
- 36:27Speaker 2: So they got him on a thousand things in the
- 36:29Speaker 2: hearings yesterday. They caught him in a million deceptions, refusing
- 36:32Speaker 2: to answer, all kinds of terrible things. Now, there was
- 36:35Speaker 2: one moment where the Republican senator is going to accuse
- 36:39Speaker 2: him of having gone to a basketball game with Fonny Willis,
- 36:43Speaker 2: that other dirty prosecutor. And if you're watching CNN or
- 36:48Speaker 2: MSNBC or any of the left-wing stuff. This is what
- 36:51Speaker 2: they leaped on because the senator had it all wrong.
- 36:55Speaker 2: His accusation was 100% false. He had somehow, whoever came
- 36:59Speaker 2: up with this got it all mixed up. You know,
- 37:02Speaker 2: the accusation was he was at a Hawks game with
- 37:06Speaker 2: Fannie Willis. Well, it turns out he was at a
- 37:08Speaker 2: basketball game, but it was a Hawkeyes game and it
- 37:10Speaker 2: wasn't in Atlanta. It was in Maryland. So the guy
- 37:13Speaker 2: had it all wrong. The accusation was all wrong. Terrible,
- 37:17Speaker 2: embarrassing moment for this guy But it had nothing to
- 37:20Speaker 2: do with the rest of the hearings. 99% of the
- 37:23Speaker 2: hearings were dirt coming out about Jack Smith. If you're
- 37:25Speaker 2: watching CNN or MSNBC or any fake news, you never
- 37:29Speaker 2: heard about it. They never mentioned it. All they showed
- 37:32Speaker 2: you was the one time the Republicans went after him,
- 37:34Speaker 2: they were wrong. So if you're one of those left-wing
- 37:38Speaker 2: channel viewers, you come away with a totally false impression.
- 37:42Speaker 2: They never showed you all the 9,000 clips of him
- 37:45Speaker 2: getting caught in one problem after another. This was that moment.
- 37:48Speaker 2: This is Eric Schmidt.
- 37:50Speaker 23: Did you go to an NBA game between the Golden
- 37:52Speaker 23: State Warriors and the Atlanta Hawks on February 3, 2024?
- 37:57Speaker 11: What city would that be in?
- 37:58Speaker 6: Atlanta.
- 37:59Speaker 14: No.
- 37:59Speaker 2: Okay.
- 38:02Speaker 23: So your testimony today is that you did not go
- 38:05Speaker 23: to a Hawks.
- 38:06Speaker 6: Game on February 3, 2024.
- 38:07Speaker 23: Is that correct?
- 38:10Speaker 11: I have no recollection of that.
- 38:11Speaker 7: Okay.
- 38:11Speaker 23: Is it your testimony that you were not in Atlanta
- 38:13Speaker 23: on February 3, 2024?
- 38:17Speaker 2: Let me just give you a little context.
- 38:19Speaker 23: The day before Fannie Willis came clean with her affair
- 38:22Speaker 23: with the prosecutor, you know the Atlanta prosecutor that was
- 38:24Speaker 23: also trying to get Trump? The next day, were you
- 38:27Speaker 23: in Atlanta?
- 38:28Speaker 11: I do not believe so.
- 38:30Speaker 2: So this guy is building it up, building it up
- 38:33Speaker 2: so dramatic. Ooh, he's caught him in a big one. Well,
- 38:35Speaker 2: it turns out this senator is all wrong. The guy
- 38:38Speaker 2: was never at a game.
- 38:40Speaker 23: Did you ever meet Nathan Wade or Fannie Willis in
- 38:42Speaker 23: your time at special counsel?
- 38:45Speaker 19: No.
- 38:46Speaker 23: What would you say if I had a series of
- 38:47Speaker 23: text messages from your team that said you were in
- 38:50Speaker 23: Atlanta at a Warrior Hawks game on February 3rd, 2024,
- 38:54Speaker 23: the day after Willis and Wade announced their affair? I
- 38:58Speaker 23: don't think you know that we have this stuff. So
- 39:01Speaker 23: I'll give you a second to process it so you don't,
- 39:03Speaker 23: you know, perjure yourself.
- 39:04Speaker 2: Oh, it's so dramatic. Now it turns out this guy's
- 39:06Speaker 2: got it. I don't know where he got this story.
- 39:08Speaker 2: It's all wrong. And it turns out in a terrible moment. But,
- 39:13Speaker 2: but as I say, 99% of the rest of the
- 39:14Speaker 2: day was, Awful, terrible, disgusting stuff on Jack Smith. And again,
- 39:20Speaker 2: the left-wing networks never reported it. They make it look
- 39:23Speaker 2: like this is all that happened, but Smith finally figured
- 39:26Speaker 2: it out, Jack Smith, that they had the wrong game
- 39:29Speaker 2: the wrong day.
- 39:31Speaker 11: If this is the correct basketball game, I recall going
- 39:37Speaker 11: to a University of Maryland basketball game where Caitlin Clark
- 39:41Speaker 11: was playing right around that time. and the Marshal Service
- 39:46Speaker 11: was there with me. You could check if that was
- 39:48Speaker 11: the exact date. It was Maryland playing Iowa, I think,
- 39:52Speaker 11: February of 2024. But again, you could check that out
- 39:56Speaker 11: if that's what we're talking about.
- 39:58Speaker 6: Is it the Hawkeyes?
- 40:01Speaker 2: Yes.
- 40:03Speaker 6: Could it then be that University of Iowa is the Hawkeyes?
- 40:06Speaker 6: Could that be it? And maybe before we show this
- 40:10Speaker 6: kind of thing.
- 40:12Speaker 2: Yeah, so the senator got it all wrong, and embarrassing
- 40:15Speaker 2: moment for him but nothing to do with the rest
- 40:18Speaker 2: of the hearing so again if you watched nbc nightly
- 40:21Speaker 2: news or abc night all they showed you was this
- 40:23Speaker 2: guy making this huge mistake they forgot to tell you
- 40:26Speaker 2: that the rest of the day jack smith was caught
- 40:29Speaker 2: in one piece of crap after another and he looked
- 40:32Speaker 2: horrible and who knows there could be criminal referrals coming
- 40:36Speaker 2: out of this against jack but they never told you
- 40:38Speaker 2: about any of that so hey this lindsey clancy lawyer
- 40:43Speaker 2: This old, you know, old lawyer, this old country, looks
- 40:46Speaker 2: like some old country lawyer. It's actually Massachusetts. But the
- 40:51Speaker 2: whole hearing was the lawyer admitting that she killed her kids.
- 40:57Speaker 2: Of course she killed her kids. That's obvious. But the
- 41:00Speaker 2: whole first trial was him explaining why. It was about,
- 41:04Speaker 2: you know, she was traumatized. They had her on all
- 41:07Speaker 2: kinds of medications. They did so much psychological damage to her.
- 41:11Speaker 2: So that was the whole hearing. The whole trial. So
- 41:14Speaker 2: it looks like he's been negotiating to get the whole
- 41:17Speaker 2: thing dropped. He's been trying to plea bargain. He doesn't
- 41:20Speaker 2: want a second trial. He's been trying to negotiate no
- 41:23Speaker 2: second trial. Well, it looks like he's been unsuccessful. It
- 41:26Speaker 2: looks like there's going to be a second trial. So
- 41:29Speaker 2: now he's changing the whole case completely. Now he's arguing
- 41:32Speaker 2: that they didn't prove anything, that there's no DNA. I
- 41:36Speaker 2: don't know how on earth he thinks he's going to
- 41:39Speaker 2: get away with that. They can just read the transcript
- 41:41Speaker 2: from the first trial. where he admits she did it.
- 41:43Speaker 2: So I don't know what this guy is thinking.
- 41:45Speaker 6: It was not even a horrendous investigation. There was no investigation.
- 41:49Speaker 24: This entire case is based on speculation.
- 41:55Speaker 2: Where is the admission?
- 41:57Speaker 24: Where does she say that she did this? And what's
- 42:00Speaker 24: most chilling is the fact that when she comes out
- 42:05Speaker 24: of this obvious coma that she is in, That when
- 42:11Speaker 24: she comes out of it, Your Honor heard the testimony
- 42:13Speaker 24: from the psychiatrist and from the doctors at Brigham and
- 42:15Speaker 24: Women's Hospital.
- 42:18Speaker 6: She was told what happened.
- 42:21Speaker 24: She had no memory of what happened.
- 42:24Speaker 2: Well, you've got to give this guy credit. To have
- 42:28Speaker 2: this kind of nerve to pull this crap. The whole
- 42:31Speaker 2: trial you admitted she did it. This is like pathological
- 42:37Speaker 2: chutzpah from... from this guy. Unbelievable. So it looks like
- 42:42Speaker 2: there will be a second trial, which is good for us.
- 42:46Speaker 2: We have plenty to talk about. But this old codger here,
- 42:50Speaker 2: this is the end of his career. He's about 75.
- 42:53Speaker 2: Not a very distinguished legal career. Not a lot of victories.
- 42:56Speaker 2: So this is a big, big, big note for him
- 43:00Speaker 2: to go out on. That's why he's playing this up. Hey,
- 43:03Speaker 2: this crazy mom, Donnie, is now battling anti-Semitism. He's the
- 43:09Speaker 2: biggest anti-Semite on earth. He's allowed anti-Semitism to spread. More
- 43:13Speaker 2: than allowing it, he's encouraged it. He's the absolute worst
- 43:18Speaker 2: when it comes to anti-Semitism, but now he's pretending that
- 43:22Speaker 2: he's gonna fight it. And he's, listen to this guy.
- 43:24Speaker 25: Anti-Semitism is real and it is growing. Here in New
- 43:28Speaker 25: York City, while our Jewish neighbors make up only 12%
- 43:31Speaker 25: of the population, NYPD statistics show that anti-Semitic hate crimes
- 43:35Speaker 25: account for more than half of all confirmed hate crimes.
- 43:38Speaker 25: This is not only unacceptable, it's something we all have
- 43:41Speaker 25: an obligation to change.
- 43:43Speaker 2: There you go. He's a man of principle. Or not,
- 43:48Speaker 2: depending on what the situation calls for. Depending on what
- 43:50Speaker 2: the TikTok video is going to be. But give him
- 43:52Speaker 2: credit for being able to put on that voice. All
- 43:56Speaker 2: of a sudden he's... Oh, anti-Semitism is very real. All
- 44:00Speaker 2: of a sudden he's very concerned about it.
- 44:02Speaker 8: After.
- 44:03Speaker 2: After being the most anti-Semitic guy in the world and
- 44:06Speaker 2: encouraging it and pushing it.
- 44:07Speaker 25: Jewish New Yorkers should feel cherished and celebrated in the
- 44:10Speaker 25: most Jewish city in America. That's why we are investing
- 44:14Speaker 25: millions in Jewish cultural centers and nonprofits.
- 44:20Speaker 2: Again, you got to give him credit for the nerve
- 44:23Speaker 2: of this guy to try to pull this crap on us.
- 44:27Speaker 2: So his pied-à-terre tax, which is about the, it's more
- 44:32Speaker 2: hocal than him. And actually, it's Cuomo. You know, all
- 44:35Speaker 2: the bad stuff Cuomo did to New York, the no bail,
- 44:37Speaker 2: the no jail. It's an endless list of horrible, horrible
- 44:41Speaker 2: things Cuomo did to New York. One of them is
- 44:43Speaker 2: this pied-a-terre tax. He was the first guy I remember
- 44:45Speaker 2: pushing this publicly, talking about a pied-a-terre tax. It's Kathy
- 44:51Speaker 2: Hochul and Mamdani. They love to tax you to death,
- 44:55Speaker 2: any way they can tax you, anything they can tax.
- 44:58Speaker 2: But the pied-a-terre tax hit a big snag. A judge
- 45:01Speaker 2: ruled against it. He didn't rule against the tax itself.
- 45:05Speaker 2: He didn't say it was wrong, but he said the
- 45:07Speaker 2: rollout was wrong. The way they did it was wrong. Basically,
- 45:11Speaker 2: they sent out 17,000 letters to people, and many of
- 45:16Speaker 2: them didn't have a pied-a-terre tax. It was the home
- 45:18Speaker 2: they live in. I think even the Staten Island borough president,
- 45:22Speaker 2: Vito Fussella, got one. I think it was his father's house.
- 45:25Speaker 2: His father lives there. His father's never lived anywhere else.
- 45:27Speaker 2: Never had another house. He gets one of these letters
- 45:30Speaker 2: that he's a pied-a-terre. So 17,000 notices were sent out
- 45:35Speaker 2: and most of them false, most of them wrong, but
- 45:38Speaker 2: they were sent to residents and it was up to them,
- 45:41Speaker 2: the resident, to try to prove that the government was wrong. Well,
- 45:46Speaker 2: and this is the right decision. The judge ruled that's
- 45:48Speaker 2: absolutely insane. The burden is not on the homeowner. The
- 45:52Speaker 2: burden is on the government to prove their case. And
- 45:55Speaker 2: the government has access to everything, tax records, driver's license, everything.
- 46:01Speaker 2: They could see where you live or where you don't live.
- 46:03Speaker 2: So the judge ruled against them. Mamdani appealed the ruling immediately.
- 46:08Speaker 2: The city is pushing for this tax to raise $ 500 million.
- 46:11Speaker 2: There's no reason for that. The budget in New York
- 46:15Speaker 2: City is double what it should be. You could cut
- 46:17Speaker 2: this budget by $ 20 billion without blinking. So there's no
- 46:22Speaker 2: reason for this tax. Now, a lot of wealthy guys
- 46:26Speaker 2: are joining in. Steve Wynn has joined in. He's got
- 46:29Speaker 2: a bill for $ 183, 000 for this. And Wilbur Ross, the
- 46:34Speaker 2: former commerce secretary, got a bill for $ 83, 000. So they
- 46:39Speaker 2: filed their own lawsuits. See, the problem is these are
- 46:42Speaker 2: very wealthy guys. These are billionaires. And a billionaire can
- 46:48Speaker 2: do a lot of stuff. They've got an army of attorneys.
- 46:51Speaker 2: They've got an army of experts. They've got endless money
- 46:55Speaker 2: and resources. They can fight you. Even if you're in government,
- 46:57Speaker 2: they can fight you. But see, the problem with these guys,
- 47:01Speaker 2: these are retired billionaires. Now, if you're running Amazon, you're
- 47:07Speaker 2: pretty busy all day. But these are retired billionaires. They
- 47:09Speaker 2: got nothing to do all day. And one thing about billionaires,
- 47:12Speaker 2: they love a fight, a battle. They love to work
- 47:15Speaker 2: all day. They love a project. So you get a
- 47:17Speaker 2: retired guy who's had nothing to do, sitting in Palm Beach,
- 47:21Speaker 2: going to the same dinner parties with the same crowd.
- 47:24Speaker 2: He loves this. He comes to life with this kind
- 47:26Speaker 2: of battle. So Mamdani's going to have a problem. These
- 47:29Speaker 2: guys are going to really, really go after Mamdani. And
- 47:33Speaker 2: it's a good thing. So, hey, Bruce Blakeman. Now, the
- 47:37Speaker 2: campaign is in the final month, but it's going to
- 47:40Speaker 2: turn to taxes. Hochul's a big tax hiker. She believes
- 47:44Speaker 2: in high taxes. She believes in taxing everything. Blakeman has
- 47:48Speaker 2: put out a tax plan that everybody says is phenomenal.
- 47:52Speaker 2: Absolutely brilliant. He wants to slash taxes in New York
- 47:55Speaker 2: by $ 35 billion. That's right, $ 35 billion. We're overtaxed like crazy.
- 48:01Speaker 2: It's about $ 7, 000 for the average family. So under his
- 48:05Speaker 2: tax plan, the average family will get a $ 7, 000 tax savings.
- 48:09Speaker 2: Low-income taxpayers would benefit the most. Plan calls for eliminating
- 48:15Speaker 2: all taxes. If you make under $ 50, 000, no taxes if
- 48:19Speaker 2: you're a married couple. And you're below $ 100, 000. No taxes
- 48:23Speaker 2: at all. So that means the average couple in 45
- 48:27Speaker 2: of the 62 counties would pay no tax. So on
- 48:31Speaker 2: top of that, he wants to cut property tax. He
- 48:35Speaker 2: wants to lower utility bills, cut them in half. Cuomo
- 48:39Speaker 2: raised your utility bills when he closed Indian Point and
- 48:42Speaker 2: banned fracking. And Hochul continued this policy. So it's a
- 48:46Speaker 2: brilliant tax plan. Now, he's got to get this out there.
- 48:51Speaker 2: there's going to be one debate, but he's got to
- 48:52Speaker 2: really get this out there and that'll, that'll make a
- 48:55Speaker 2: big difference. And we'll talk more about that. We'll take
- 48:58Speaker 2: some calls next 800-321-0710 is the number 800-321-0710. Now nine
- 49:00Speaker 2: till noon weekday. Smart Simone. Only on 710WOR. Hey, uh, well,
- 49:02Speaker 2: during this, uh, break, we had, uh, Hey, well, during
- 49:18Speaker 2: this break, we had two of our top engineers working
- 49:22Speaker 2: on the phones. Well, let's see. Let's see if this
- 49:28Speaker 2: was successful. First, I'll try the old-fashioned way. Jim in
- 49:31Speaker 2: New Jersey.
- 49:32Speaker 19: No.
- 49:32Speaker 2: All right, I'll try the new way. Let's see if
- 49:34Speaker 2: this works.
- 49:36Speaker 3: No.
- 49:36Speaker 8: No.
- 49:40Speaker 2: Uh let's try rob but no i don't know why
- 49:45Speaker 2: it doesn't work now uh you guys will have to
- 49:47Speaker 2: pick it up in there let's go to uh jim
- 49:49Speaker 2: in new jersey jim how you doing two.
- 49:53Speaker 7: Quick points i think two of the best yankee announcers
- 49:56Speaker 7: are still alive they're in their 90s one would be
- 49:58Speaker 7: bill white and the other is tony kubek.
- 50:01Speaker 2: Tony kubek is still alive.
- 50:04Speaker 9: Yes, he is.
- 50:05Speaker 2: Early 90s.
- 50:05Speaker 7: Mark, I got a little confused. You mentioned Manalapan. You
- 50:09Speaker 7: know there is a Manalapan in New Jersey, you know.
- 50:11Speaker 2: I'm talking about the good one.
- 50:14Speaker 7: Well, you know what the New Jersey one is famous for?
- 50:16Speaker 2: I hate to ask.
- 50:17Speaker 7: That's where the largest battle of the American Revolution was there,
- 50:20Speaker 7: the Battle of Monmouth. Molly Pitcher.
- 50:24Speaker 2: Well, we like Manalapan in New Jersey, but there's a
- 50:27Speaker 2: Manalapan right below Palm Beach. It's very, very hot right now,
- 50:31Speaker 2: real estate-wise. All right, thanks for calling. Hey, you know
- 50:36Speaker 2: who I saw last night? Uncle Junior. Dominic Chianese. He's
- 50:40Speaker 2: got to be like 95. He was out having dinner.
- 50:43Speaker 2: Very good shape. Let's go to... Oh, hey, I got
- 50:48Speaker 2: it that time. Let's go to Bob in Long Island. Bob,
- 50:50Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 50:52Speaker 7: All right, Bob.
- 50:53Speaker 12: Go Buchanan, go Buchanan.
- 50:54Speaker 2: Yes, the Buchanan guy. All right, let's see. All right,
- 50:56Speaker 2: now here's the problem. I can't hang up. That's the problem.
- 51:00Speaker 2: The hang up button doesn't work. Can you get rid
- 51:04Speaker 2: of Bob in there? We're trying to get our phones working.
- 51:08Speaker 2: Let's try Ralph in Manhattan. Ralph, how are you doing?
- 51:13Speaker 3: You know, Mark, if Hochul wins again, you know that
- 51:17Speaker 3: New York is through. I mean, Blakeman just proposed something
- 51:20Speaker 3: so brilliant and so great for New York. If they
- 51:25Speaker 3: turn around and reject him, It's all over, Mark.
- 51:29Speaker 2: I hate to break it to you. It's bad if
- 51:30Speaker 2: she wins, but it's not all over. It's not through.
- 51:33Speaker 2: Everything will be fine. We've survived everything. Jimmy Carter, Joe Biden.
- 51:38Speaker 2: It's not.
- 51:39Speaker 3: I get what you mean. I'm a little I'm a
- 51:41Speaker 3: little drastic, but it's unbelievable how they keep voting for
- 51:44Speaker 3: people that have no clue whatsoever. I mean, she was
- 51:47Speaker 3: the you know, the the carry the water for our friend, Dr.
- 51:53Speaker 3: Cuomo back in the old days, and she surged to
- 51:56Speaker 3: such high levels as such a... I mean, I don't
- 51:58Speaker 3: understand why people can ever even praise her in any way, shape,
- 52:02Speaker 3: or form.
- 52:03Speaker 2: Well, I can explain it, but thanks for calling. You know,
- 52:06Speaker 2: the problem is most people don't get any real news.
- 52:09Speaker 2: They'll read the New York Times, they'll watch MSNBC, so
- 52:12Speaker 2: they'll never hear all the bad stuff that these people do.
- 52:15Speaker 2: They'll never hear the real story about anything. You know,
- 52:20Speaker 2: Cuomo did so much damage to us with the no bail,
- 52:22Speaker 2: no jail, with the closing Indian Point, with the closing
- 52:26Speaker 2: of prisons, letting all the prisoners out. I mean, you
- 52:28Speaker 2: can go on and on. But one of them, don't
- 52:30Speaker 2: forget one of them, he's the guy that picked Kathy Hochul.
- 52:34Speaker 2: He's the guy that chose Kathy Hochul for us. Let's
- 52:37Speaker 2: see if I can try this one. No, it doesn't work.
- 52:39Speaker 2: You got to do it. Rob in Franklin Square. Rob,
- 52:41Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 52:43Speaker 18: Hi, Mark.
- 52:43Speaker 26: You know, you can blame the judges on these. That
- 52:46Speaker 26: should be summarily dismissed, what they didn't prove the case
- 52:49Speaker 26: with the, you know, it's so stupid with the old
- 52:52Speaker 26: coots thing. But can I mention something about Comics Unleashed?
- 52:56Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. Comics Unleashed. Very good show.
- 52:57Speaker 26: Byron Allen. You know, over the 20 years, but they
- 53:02Speaker 26: only did four seasons, though.
- 53:04Speaker 2: No, no.
- 53:05Speaker 18: 2006?
- 53:06Speaker 2: They've done tons of seasons. They do take some time.
- 53:08Speaker 7: No, no, no.
- 53:09Speaker 2: Let's get this guy off the air. We can't broadcast
- 53:11Speaker 2: false information. They've done plenty of seasons. Comics Unleashed. It's
- 53:17Speaker 2: a very good show. It's on CBS every night now
- 53:19Speaker 2: at 1130 on CBS. It replaced Colbert, and it's doing
- 53:24Speaker 2: much better than Colbert. In fact, in the most important thing,
- 53:28Speaker 2: which is the 18 to 49 demo, it is wiping
- 53:32Speaker 2: out Kimmel... Anne Fallon. It's pretty amazing. Comics Unleashed. What's today? Wednesday?
- 53:40Speaker 2: In fact, tomorrow night, my friend Dave Koenig is on.
- 53:42Speaker 2: A very good comedian. He'll be on Comics Unleashed tomorrow night.
- 53:46Speaker 2: Take a look at it. In fact, it's doing so
- 53:48Speaker 2: well that CBS is going to do a primetime special,
- 53:53Speaker 2: an hour of Comics Unleashed. This is Byron Allen, the
- 53:56Speaker 2: comedian who became a producer, a businessman, went from comedian
- 54:02Speaker 2: to to making himself a billion dollars. He's a billionaire.
- 54:06Speaker 2: I can't think of any other, maybe Cosby, comedian that
- 54:09Speaker 2: became a billionaire. Oh, Seinfeld, but it's very, very few.
- 54:12Speaker 2: It's a short list. So the thing about Comics Unleashed,
- 54:15Speaker 2: there's no political jokes of any kind and no topical jokes.
- 54:21Speaker 2: So they could take a show from five years ago
- 54:23Speaker 2: to 15 years ago and run it today. They're as
- 54:25Speaker 2: fresh as can be. They're in syndication all over the place. Hey,
- 54:29Speaker 2: when we come back, We'll take a look at the midterms.
- 54:32Speaker 2: It's only 34 days away. It's like one month till
- 54:37Speaker 2: the midterms. What can Republicans do? Where does it really stand?
- 54:40Speaker 2: We'll talk to the dean himself, the great political analyst,
- 54:44Speaker 2: Ed Rollins. We'll talk to him next on 710WOR. Mark
- 54:49Speaker 2: Simone here. Three hours every day. Don't forget, three hours.
- 54:52Speaker 2: We start at 9 a.m. It's 9 to noon every day.
- 54:56Speaker 2: And it's an action-packed first hour. Make sure you don't
- 54:58Speaker 2: miss the first hour.
- 55:00Speaker 1: Mark Simone, live from the WOR LifeVac studios.
- 55:07Speaker 2: Well, let's talk to the dean himself. Ed Rollins has
- 55:11Speaker 2: been in a lot of White Houses. He's run a
- 55:13Speaker 2: lot of campaigns. He's run some of the most successful
- 55:16Speaker 2: campaigns in history. And he's with us now. Ed Rollins,
- 55:20Speaker 2: how are you doing?
- 55:21Speaker 5: Good morning, Mark.
- 55:21Speaker 9: How are you?
- 55:22Speaker 2: Very good. 34 days until the midterms. What do you think?
- 55:26Speaker 2: How does it look to you?
- 55:28Speaker 6: It doesn't look good.
- 55:29Speaker 8: Uh, I mean, being perfectly, being perfectly honest, it's, uh,
- 55:33Speaker 8: I would, I would bet the house is gone and
- 55:35Speaker 8: the people that are watch these things closely are, are,
- 55:37Speaker 8: are betting heavily on that. But the question is, is
- 55:41Speaker 8: it by 10 votes or is it by 25 votes?
- 55:44Speaker 6: The, the difference. And, and that's, that's a big difference.
- 55:48Speaker 8: The thing that I think none of us anticipated a
- 55:51Speaker 8: couple months ago is incentives in play now. And if,
- 55:53Speaker 8: and if for some reason the president's party loses the Senate, uh,
- 55:57Speaker 8: Then he's got two miserable years ahead. And I think
- 56:01Speaker 8: the thing that we all were hopeful for is he's
- 56:03Speaker 8: got hundreds of millions of dollars sitting in a fund,
- 56:07Speaker 8: the PAC fund, that we thought was going to be
- 56:09Speaker 8: put in these races. And we now see that he's
- 56:12Speaker 8: running free campaigns paid for by the government, which is
- 56:15Speaker 8: only going to antagonize people.
- 56:17Speaker 6: And they're not very good ads about himself, I think,
- 56:20Speaker 6: to a certain extent.
- 56:21Speaker 8: If you want to be successful, you got to go
- 56:23Speaker 8: out and convince voters that I need this congressman.
- 56:25Speaker 6: I need this Senator.
- 56:26Speaker 8: I need them desperately to, to finish, finish my agenda
- 56:30Speaker 8: in the last two years.
- 56:31Speaker 6: And I don't see that happening at this point in time.
- 56:33Speaker 2: Now, nobody's a better fighter battler than Donald Trump. Why
- 56:37Speaker 2: is he falling asleep here on this?
- 56:39Speaker 8: I don't know. I, I think he's either getting bad
- 56:41Speaker 8: information or doesn't believe any of this. Uh, uh, you know,
- 56:44Speaker 8: if you don't believe, you don't believe your pollsters, you
- 56:46Speaker 8: don't believe the polls or if we don't think it matters, uh,
- 56:49Speaker 8: you don't care about the House and the Senate, then
- 56:53Speaker 8: you don't do the right thing. And the other thing
- 56:56Speaker 8: is there's nobody in this administration that can help candidates.
- 56:59Speaker 6: If I was running a campaign, there's not a single
- 57:01Speaker 6: member of this cabinet.
- 57:02Speaker 8: That I would want to come out, except possibly Rubio,
- 57:05Speaker 8: and he can't come out as a secretary of state,
- 57:06Speaker 8: and he's got 15 jobs already.
- 57:08Speaker 6: There's not a single person in this cabinet.
- 57:11Speaker 8: I mean, if I've got problems with the ag community,
- 57:13Speaker 8: I don't want Secretary Rawlins to come out and tell me,
- 57:16Speaker 8: We don't need beef as other means of getting protein
- 57:19Speaker 8: when the beef market is dying. I don't want the
- 57:22Speaker 8: energy seconds here to come out and tell me that
- 57:24Speaker 8: things are going to be great when diesel fuel is $ 7, $ 8,
- 57:28Speaker 8: $ 9 a gallon.
- 57:29Speaker 6: So, you know, my sense is in the five weeks
- 57:31Speaker 6: we have left here, it's late.
- 57:34Speaker 8: People are already voting now by absentee ballots in other places.
- 57:37Speaker 8: And I think in the next couple weeks, unless something
- 57:41Speaker 8: dramatically happens on the war economy, which I don't anticipate happening,
- 57:45Speaker 8: it's not going to be, it's not going to be
- 57:46Speaker 8: a good election.
- 57:47Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 57:48Speaker 2: Hey, the economy, you look at the real numbers, the
- 57:50Speaker 2: economy is in great shape. I know gas is high,
- 57:52Speaker 2: but the economy is in great shape. But most people
- 57:55Speaker 2: are watching the news where they're told every day it's
- 57:57Speaker 2: a disaster, economic disaster. What, what do Republicans do about that?
- 58:01Speaker 2: The fake news, the bad, uh, gaslighting of the world.
- 58:06Speaker 6: They should be doing something about that.
- 58:08Speaker 8: You know, and instead, you know, the reality here is,
- 58:12Speaker 8: you know, the president's out there talking about, uh, uh,
- 58:15Speaker 8: I'm raising warnings about the deep state, the warmongers, globalists, Marxists, communists,
- 58:21Speaker 8: and fascists. That was Joe McCarthy's thing when I was
- 58:24Speaker 8: eight years old, 50 years ago.
- 58:27Speaker 6: It didn't work then. It's not going to work now.
- 58:29Speaker 6: You've got to go out and you've got to basically
- 58:30Speaker 6: point out these new Democrats, what they're about, and define
- 58:35Speaker 6: them before they define us.
- 58:37Speaker 8: And I think to a certain extent, those terms, globalists, Marxists, communists, fascists,
- 58:45Speaker 8: it's hard to tell anybody what that means. What you can, though,
- 58:48Speaker 8: is you can take someone like the mayor of New
- 58:50Speaker 8: York and you can take someone like some of the
- 58:51Speaker 8: other candidates and define what they are. This is what
- 58:54Speaker 8: they stand for, and this is what I stand for,
- 58:57Speaker 8: and this is what the Republican Party needs to be saying.
- 58:59Speaker 6: I need these Republicans.
- 59:01Speaker 8: To help me finish the last two years to get
- 59:03Speaker 8: the economy moving again, to basically get my peace plan
- 59:06Speaker 8: and all the rest of it.
- 59:08Speaker 6: Right now, it's not credible.
- 59:10Speaker 2: So, uh, if Democrats win the house, they'll be impeaching
- 59:13Speaker 2: Trump all the time. But if they win the Senate,
- 59:16Speaker 2: what does that mean? Can't they can, they could convict him, right?
- 59:18Speaker 2: And remove him.
- 59:20Speaker 8: I don't think they can get to him. And I
- 59:21Speaker 8: think that'd be terrible for them to even try it. Uh, for,
- 59:24Speaker 8: for them, I mean, what they can do is they
- 59:25Speaker 8: can batter him.
- 59:26Speaker 6: They can block everything.
- 59:27Speaker 8: They can basically, uh, control of money. The truth of
- 59:31Speaker 8: the matter is the House under the present speaker has
- 59:34Speaker 8: been an arm of the White House.
- 59:37Speaker 6: It will not be an arm of the White House
- 59:38Speaker 6: if the Democrats control it.
- 59:40Speaker 8: It will be every single thing the president will have
- 59:42Speaker 8: to fight for.
- 59:42Speaker 6: And he doesn't care.
- 59:44Speaker 8: He's an 80-year-old man. He's got the things that he's
- 59:48Speaker 8: interested in, which right now are not what the country's
- 59:50Speaker 8: interested in. The country doesn't care about a ballroom in
- 59:55Speaker 8: the White House. The country doesn't care about a wading
- 59:57Speaker 8: pool A country doesn't care about tearing down the Kennedy Center.
- 1:00:02Speaker 8: If they care, it's a negative side. So I think
- 1:00:05Speaker 8: to a certain extent, he needs to be talking about
- 1:00:07Speaker 8: the big picture, what happens after the Iranian war is settled,
- 1:00:10Speaker 8: how do we keep peace in the world, how do
- 1:00:12Speaker 8: we get the job market back in a more effective place.
- 1:00:16Speaker 8: And he's been a great communicator in the past, but
- 1:00:20Speaker 8: he's not been a good communicator right now. I don't
- 1:00:22Speaker 8: think his heart's in it.
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: Ed Rollins, you've sat through a lot of administrations. You've
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: been in a lot of white houses. You've been there
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: till the end. How do you think this ends for
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: Donald Trump in two years? How do you think it's.
- 1:00:35Speaker 6: Going to end? It doesn't end well. Really? No, I
- 1:00:39Speaker 6: don't think it does.
- 1:00:40Speaker 8: You know, especially if the Democrats take control, there'll be
- 1:00:44Speaker 8: a very severe opposition. You know, historians will go back
- 1:00:47Speaker 8: and basically rewrite the negative stuff. you know, he's had
- 1:00:54Speaker 8: his peak periods. And I think to a certain extent,
- 1:00:56Speaker 8: you know, he still can bring, if he develops a
- 1:00:59Speaker 8: piece in the Middle East that other people salute and
- 1:01:03Speaker 8: respond to.
- 1:01:04Speaker 6: But, you know, it doesn't seem to be doing that.
- 1:01:07Speaker 8: And I think to a certain extent, you know, as
- 1:01:09Speaker 8: the economy's booming and the promises that he's making that
- 1:01:12Speaker 8: it will be booming, it has to be proven to
- 1:01:15Speaker 8: the American public.
- 1:01:16Speaker 6: It's not right now.
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: But, you know, you study his history in business and whatever,
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: when he's really down, when they really got him, when
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: he was wiped out, that's when he always battles back
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: and comes out better than ever. You don't think that
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: could happen here?
- 1:01:28Speaker 8: Well, I think there's a big difference between battling back
- 1:01:31Speaker 8: and coming back in a city like New York, where
- 1:01:35Speaker 8: you're building buildings, put your names on them, as opposed
- 1:01:37Speaker 8: to basically running a government that the opposition is very
- 1:01:41Speaker 8: severe and has... Right now, the last two years, he's
- 1:01:44Speaker 8: controlled every element of abortion in D.C., and I think
- 1:01:47Speaker 8: that's what he's going to be measured on. But the
- 1:01:50Speaker 8: last two years... As I said, I think if the
- 1:01:53Speaker 8: Democrats try and impeach him, that's not what the country wants.
- 1:01:56Speaker 8: The country wants, and if the Democrats want to have
- 1:01:59Speaker 8: more than two years in office, they've got to go
- 1:02:01Speaker 8: show the ability to move the ball forward.
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: Hey, Ed Ronson, Bruce Blakeman catching up in the polls.
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: He's put out an incredible, a brilliant tax plan that
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: would reduce taxes on everybody. What do you think Bruce
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: Blakeman's chances are?
- 1:02:17Speaker 8: I think he has a better chance than most Republicans
- 1:02:19Speaker 8: across the country. I mean, New York's a tough state for,
- 1:02:21Speaker 8: for Republicans, but, uh, I think he's run a good campaign.
- 1:02:24Speaker 6: Uh, the, the problem is everything, everything is so negative.
- 1:02:28Speaker 6: You know, you've got to win these things before the
- 1:02:30Speaker 6: last three or four weeks.
- 1:02:31Speaker 8: Uh, I think he has the momentum. Uh, she's a
- 1:02:33Speaker 8: terrible candidate, uh, terrible governor. I knew I'm a good
- 1:02:37Speaker 8: candidate here. Uh, and I think he's been a good candidate. Uh,
- 1:02:40Speaker 8: he's got, he's got something. I think if there's any
- 1:02:43Speaker 8: bright spot, it's there. Uh, uh, but he's got to
- 1:02:46Speaker 8: have money. He's got to have resources. And I think
- 1:02:48Speaker 8: to a certain extent, uh, he's got a plan that
- 1:02:50Speaker 8: obviously most tech, most New Yorkers would like this plan.
- 1:02:53Speaker 8: If they can get, get through the, all of the dialogue,
- 1:02:56Speaker 8: the campaigning, I can just say, I haven't been around
- 1:02:58Speaker 8: this business for 50 years. Um, the negative advertising that's
- 1:03:03Speaker 8: everywhere is terrible. Every, and it's, it's hard to break through, uh,
- 1:03:09Speaker 8: Democrats or Republicans. Uh, and right now it's all, I
- 1:03:12Speaker 8: think the country turns it out, uh, Now, the advantage
- 1:03:15Speaker 8: the Republicans have had is this.
- 1:03:16Speaker 6: $ 4 or $ 5.
- 1:03:17Speaker 8: Billion PAC fund that Trump has.
- 1:03:22Speaker 6: And he's not spending that money.
- 1:03:23Speaker 8: He needs to spend that money and spend it quick
- 1:03:25Speaker 8: because we're down the short areas here.
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: Well, if Trump is listening and he says, that's it,
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: I'm going to fix this, what could he actually do
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: at this point? It's only a month away.
- 1:03:36Speaker 6: Well, he can go out and save some of these
- 1:03:38Speaker 6: Senate races and he can go out there and basically
- 1:03:40Speaker 6: talk about things that matter.
- 1:03:42Speaker 8: And again, what matters is not is not a convention
- 1:03:48Speaker 8: center ballroom. You look at that White House, take last week,
- 1:03:54Speaker 8: the stupid fight with CNN and MSNBC and what have you.
- 1:03:58Speaker 6: He had two.
- 1:03:58Speaker 8: Days of monumental meetings with the head of China.
- 1:04:05Speaker 6: Most people in the country didn't see it.
- 1:04:08Speaker 8: For a stupid fight over CNN and MSNBC that maybe
- 1:04:12Speaker 8: has two million viewers a day. He's got to basically
- 1:04:15Speaker 8: just get out there and have a plan.
- 1:04:17Speaker 6: I don't see a plan.
- 1:04:21Speaker 8: And I'm a Trump guy in the past, kind of
- 1:04:23Speaker 8: super back. I just don't see a plan. I don't
- 1:04:26Speaker 8: know what's going on with the White House people.
- 1:04:28Speaker 6: I don't know where they are.
- 1:04:28Speaker 8: You know, we've got candidates out there basically in Iowa
- 1:04:35Speaker 8: and Texas and Florida running in trouble. I mean, we're
- 1:04:39Speaker 8: fighting for the governorship of Florida. We're fighting for the
- 1:04:41Speaker 8: Senate seat in Texas. Two of the strongest states we have.
- 1:04:46Speaker 6: And right now, they're question marks. People, places like Iowa, Kansas.
- 1:04:52Speaker 6: It's just, to me, it's mind-boggling. Wow.
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: Well, Ed Rollins, great as always. Always good having you
- 1:04:58Speaker 2: with us. We'll do it again soon. And thanks for
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: being with us.
- 1:05:01Speaker 6: Take care, Bob.
- 1:05:02Speaker 18: All right.
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: Take care. All right. Not the most encouraging report there. But, hey,
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: we've got another hour to go. Now, don't forget, the
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: show's three hours now. 9 to noon. I start at 9.
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: Three hours, 9 to noon every day. And then at noon,
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: you've got Buck Saxton and Clay Travis. Great show. And
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: then you've got the most listened to radio show in America,
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: Sean Hannity at 3. Jesse Kelly at 6. Jimmy Fallon.
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: It's such a funny but brilliant show. Every night, 9
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: to midnight, here on 710WOR.
- 1:05:35Speaker 18: Mr.
- 1:05:35Speaker 25: New York, Mark Simone.
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: On the Voice of New York, 710WOR.
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: Hey, it's Wednesday already. It's the middle of the week.
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: We've got a lot to get to this hour. It's
- 1:05:53Speaker 2: Mark Simone here. Three hours every day, 9 to noon,
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: three hours every day. The AI geniuses were all there
- 1:06:01Speaker 2: in the White House yesterday. They had everybody there, the
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: head of Google, the head of Anthropic, Zuckerberg, and all these,
- 1:06:10Speaker 2: Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, that brainpower around that table. Imagine
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: trying to run that meeting with the most powerful tech
- 1:06:18Speaker 2: guys in the world. So they've come up with all
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: kinds of things. What to do about AI? What to do?
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: How to make sure there's no AI getting out of control? Well,
- 1:06:30Speaker 2: they came up with solutions. They're going to have a committee.
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: Not just a committee. They're also going to have a panel.
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: They agree that they'll meet with each other. Ooh, they're
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: going to meet with each other. They got a committee.
- 1:06:48Speaker 2: They're going to have a panel. They're going to have
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: an outside evaluator. There you go. Problem solved. An outside evaluator,
- 1:07:00Speaker 2: an independent evaluator. So it's pretty funny, actually, if you
- 1:07:07Speaker 2: take these guys, these are like the 12 most brilliant
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: men in the history of the world. These are the
- 1:07:12Speaker 2: 12 greatest geniuses on earth. You put them all in
- 1:07:17Speaker 2: one room. And that's what they came up with, a committee. Well,
- 1:07:23Speaker 2: have a committee. You could have put four old ladies.
- 1:07:26Speaker 2: You could have put the golden girls in a room.
- 1:07:28Speaker 2: They would have come up with that. Let's form a committee. Ah,
- 1:07:32Speaker 2: but these are geniuses. They also, besides a committee, they're
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: going to have a panel. A panel that will look
- 1:07:38Speaker 2: at this stuff. It's fascinating, though. You take the most
- 1:07:41Speaker 2: brilliant guys on earth, and they couldn't think of anything
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: that we wouldn't have thought of. Now, the one great moment,
- 1:07:48Speaker 2: the president, as he always does, lets the press in,
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: lets them ask questions. The CNN reporter starts asking some
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: nasty question, and Trump lets her have it. He goes,
- 1:08:00Speaker 2: you're the worst. You're the worst. He starts picking on her.
- 1:08:03Speaker 2: But if you look at it, look at the video.
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: You see Zuckerberg laughing. These tech guys are laughing. They
- 1:08:09Speaker 2: loved it. So you fake news people, CNN, MSNOW, apparently
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: they hate you too. They were laughing as hard as
- 1:08:17Speaker 2: anybody at that. But AI, they've got the answer.
- 1:08:21Speaker 4: This is one more example of why I will never
- 1:08:24Speaker 4: stifle the growth of technology that will be bigger than.
- 1:08:28Speaker 5: The Industrial Revolution.
- 1:08:29Speaker 10: This is why the S.I., Superintelligence is, they're saying, bigger
- 1:08:35Speaker 10: than the Industrial Revolution.
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: Do we like that name, superintelligence? I don't know. Artificial intelligence,
- 1:08:43Speaker 2: I understand. It's an intelligence. It's not a human brain.
- 1:08:47Speaker 2: It's an intelligence you've created digitally, so it's an artificial intelligence. Now,
- 1:08:51Speaker 2: it's also a superintelligence, but I think that's the only
- 1:08:55Speaker 2: thing they've done is figure out a different name, superintelligence. Listen,
- 1:09:02Speaker 2: it's going to help a lot of things. It's really
- 1:09:06Speaker 2: seriously believed in the medical world that artificial intelligence can
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: solve and cure a lot of diseases. You know, these
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: guys go into a lab trying to cure diseases. And
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: they're in there for 20 years and maybe they make
- 1:09:20Speaker 2: a breakthrough. What do they do for 20 years? Well,
- 1:09:22Speaker 2: they look through unbelievable amounts of data, the research that
- 1:09:26Speaker 2: they do. Well, there's artificial intelligence. What they did in
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: 20 years, these thousand scientists in 20 years, the artificial
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: intelligence can do it in two seconds. So in 10 minutes,
- 1:09:38Speaker 2: it's light years beyond what the researchers could do. So
- 1:09:41Speaker 2: that's how they think that could happen. You know, they're
- 1:09:44Speaker 2: already using it a lot in medicine, artificial intelligence. So
- 1:09:47Speaker 2: if they do a scan of your whole body, or
- 1:09:50Speaker 2: if they do a, what do you call those things
- 1:09:52Speaker 2: like where they look through your arteries and all that,
- 1:09:54Speaker 2: or they, they do get the blood test and the
- 1:09:58Speaker 2: doctors look through it and look for things. But if
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: they feed it into the artificial intelligence, it can look
- 1:10:03Speaker 2: at literally two, 3 million things at the same time.
- 1:10:06Speaker 2: So it could spot something the doctor couldn't spot. So,
- 1:10:10Speaker 2: it's going to make breakthroughs. It could cure cancer. It
- 1:10:12Speaker 2: could cure every disease. It's going to do tasks that
- 1:10:19Speaker 2: take us forever in a millisecond. So it's, it's all great.
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: Now the problem AI is phenomenal. The problem is what
- 1:10:26Speaker 2: there's a certain part of it's called recursive AI, recursive AI.
- 1:10:33Speaker 2: And that's where the AI, you tell it what you
- 1:10:35Speaker 2: want it to do and it does it. But there's a,
- 1:10:38Speaker 2: this recursive stuff where the AI, even though you told
- 1:10:41Speaker 2: it what to do, can think for itself and decide
- 1:10:44Speaker 2: to go way beyond what you told it. And if
- 1:10:47Speaker 2: you tell it to only stay within this, they call
- 1:10:50Speaker 2: it the sandbox. They make a, like a border on
- 1:10:53Speaker 2: just do this. The recursive AI can figure out how
- 1:10:57Speaker 2: to break out of that sandbox, how to jail break
- 1:10:59Speaker 2: out of it and do stuff you didn't want it
- 1:11:02Speaker 2: to do. So that's the part they got to worry about.
- 1:11:05Speaker 2: And that's a certain, um, type of AI. So they're
- 1:11:07Speaker 2: going to have to worry about that. I don't know
- 1:11:09Speaker 2: what you do about it. So that's why they put
- 1:11:12Speaker 2: the 12 greatest geniuses of AI in one room. And well,
- 1:11:16Speaker 2: that's all they came up with. We'll have a committee.
- 1:11:19Speaker 2: You're all there right now. You're sitting there right now.
- 1:11:22Speaker 2: You're all there for a couple hours. You're the committee.
- 1:11:25Speaker 2: Why didn't you figure it out then? So apparently they
- 1:11:28Speaker 2: haven't got a clue as to what to do either.
- 1:11:31Speaker 2: So I mentioned this before, Cornell University, terrible place. Absolutely disgusting,
- 1:11:36Speaker 2: Cornell University. These Ivy League colleges, Columbia, Harvard, disgusting. The
- 1:11:42Speaker 2: anti-Semitism out of control. Cornell, the anti-Semitism being displayed all
- 1:11:47Speaker 2: over the campus. And they don't do a damn thing
- 1:11:50Speaker 2: about it. You had that AOC speech two days ago.
- 1:11:53Speaker 2: And the students are chanting from the river to the sea,
- 1:11:57Speaker 2: which is a code for wiping out Israel. Disgusting anti-Semitism.
- 1:12:01Speaker 2: Now you've got this rape scandal happening. all over Cornell,
- 1:12:06Speaker 2: and apparently admissions or applications are way down. They say
- 1:12:12Speaker 2: a couple hundred parents canceled the application for their children,
- 1:12:17Speaker 2: people fleeing away from Cornell, and you should. You should
- 1:12:21Speaker 2: really stay away from places like that. Hey, these left-wing
- 1:12:24Speaker 2: kooks that become mayors, you know, the Mamdani types, and
- 1:12:27Speaker 2: there's one in Seattle, another Mamdani type. She's been the
- 1:12:31Speaker 2: mayor for some time, so And this is a typical
- 1:12:35Speaker 2: crazy left-wing socialist, uh, kooky stuff where you do it
- 1:12:39Speaker 2: and it ends up having the opposite effect. So she
- 1:12:42Speaker 2: decided that Seattle and, you know, you get a left-wing
- 1:12:45Speaker 2: city council, they decided they should, you know, they always
- 1:12:48Speaker 2: want the highest minimum wage. They decided in Seattle to
- 1:12:52Speaker 2: have the highest minimum wage in the country, almost $ 23
- 1:12:56Speaker 2: an hour. Well, they did it about a year ago. Uh,
- 1:13:02Speaker 2: Or they passed it. It's going to go into effect.
- 1:13:05Speaker 2: So what was the result? 20% of the restaurants closed
- 1:13:10Speaker 2: immediately and left Seattle. They can't afford to pay that
- 1:13:14Speaker 2: kind of minimum wage. You could get minimum wage up.
- 1:13:18Speaker 2: They did it in Pennsylvania. And the way they did
- 1:13:20Speaker 2: it was they allowed fracking. They legalized fracking in Pennsylvania.
- 1:13:27Speaker 2: So the economy is booming. They turn out a ton
- 1:13:29Speaker 2: of energy. And where they're doing the fracking, there's so
- 1:13:33Speaker 2: much booming business that there's so many restaurants. It's tough
- 1:13:38Speaker 2: to find any help. There's not enough help for all
- 1:13:40Speaker 2: the restaurants. So they have to overpay to get anybody.
- 1:13:43Speaker 2: So the McDonald's is paying a fortune for minimum wage,
- 1:13:45Speaker 2: just trying to get people. That's how you do it.
- 1:13:48Speaker 2: But this ordering the highest minimum wage has caused the
- 1:13:51Speaker 2: closure of a lot of restaurants in Seattle, destroying the place.
- 1:13:56Speaker 2: You see this all the time, you know. Or the
- 1:13:58Speaker 2: other left-wing thing of allowing shoplifting, don't arrest anybody, no bail,
- 1:14:03Speaker 2: no jail, Cuomo kind of stuff. It caused... Look at
- 1:14:07Speaker 2: it in San Francisco. What was the result? Businesses closed
- 1:14:10Speaker 2: and left. Even the big, big chain stores. Even the
- 1:14:14Speaker 2: big national... They all closed up and left. Can't do
- 1:14:17Speaker 2: business there. If shoplifting is legal, they can't survive there.
- 1:14:22Speaker 2: Can't do it.
- 1:14:23Speaker 3: So....
- 1:14:26Speaker 2: Jimmy Kimmel, you know, he's been doing the show from
- 1:14:28Speaker 2: New York all week. It's a Trump-hating festival. But apparently
- 1:14:32Speaker 2: he's totally run out of things to attack Trump for.
- 1:14:36Speaker 2: The big monologue is always trying to attack Trump. So
- 1:14:38Speaker 2: last night he went after Trump for falling asleep for
- 1:14:41Speaker 2: a second or two. You know, you see him sometimes
- 1:14:44Speaker 2: in the cabinet meeting. He's talking and talking. And then
- 1:14:46Speaker 2: when he's not talking, his eyes close. He's not really
- 1:14:50Speaker 2: falling asleep. He's just closing his eyes. There's one thing
- 1:14:52Speaker 2: about billionaires. I've noticed a lot of them do that.
- 1:14:55Speaker 2: You're having dinner. You're sitting there. Every so often, they
- 1:14:58Speaker 2: close their eyes. They seem to nod out for a
- 1:15:00Speaker 2: few seconds. Every billionaire, and I know a lot of them,
- 1:15:02Speaker 2: they all do that. Why do they do that? Because
- 1:15:06Speaker 2: they don't sleep at night. They're up all night. That's
- 1:15:08Speaker 2: why they're billionaires. They work all day and night. You
- 1:15:12Speaker 2: could send them a text at three in the morning.
- 1:15:14Speaker 2: You get an answer in one second. They sleep a little.
- 1:15:17Speaker 2: They're up a little. They sleep. But by the end
- 1:15:18Speaker 2: of the night, they didn't get enough sleep. They get
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: by on three, four hours of sleep. They nod off
- 1:15:23Speaker 2: during the day. But they're just working around the clock. So, hey,
- 1:15:30Speaker 2: we're talking about Mount Donny with his new anti-Semitism strategy.
- 1:15:34Speaker 2: Nobody can figure out what the hell he's up to here.
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: Nobody knows. He's pretending to battle anti-Semitism now.
- 1:15:41Speaker 25: Anti-Semitism is real, and it is growing. Here in New
- 1:15:44Speaker 25: York City, while our Jewish neighbors make up only 12%
- 1:15:47Speaker 25: of the population, NYPD statistics show that anti-Semitic hate crimes
- 1:15:52Speaker 25: account for more than half of all confirmed hate crimes.
- 1:15:55Speaker 6: This is not only unacceptable.
- 1:15:56Speaker 2: What the hell is this all about? Why would the
- 1:15:58Speaker 2: biggest anti-Semite around do all this? Now, some people think
- 1:16:04Speaker 2: he's about to do something and claim all kinds of
- 1:16:06Speaker 2: Islamophobia and that he's doing this for cover. For when
- 1:16:11Speaker 2: he does his Islamophobia nonsense, he'll point to this thing.
- 1:16:17Speaker 2: I talk about anti-Semitism, too. It's kind of like Schumer.
- 1:16:21Speaker 2: There's nobody worse on anti-Semitism than Schumer. And he's Jewish, too.
- 1:16:26Speaker 2: He's actually the highest ranking Jewish person in government. But
- 1:16:30Speaker 2: when the anti-Semitism was out of control, remember Columbia where
- 1:16:33Speaker 2: students were getting attacked and harassed and beaten? Schumer was
- 1:16:37Speaker 2: nowhere to be found. Whenever it's bad anti-Semitism, Schumer runs
- 1:16:42Speaker 2: and hides. He is really horrible when it comes to anti-Semitism.
- 1:16:46Speaker 2: So what did he do? Remember, he wrote a book
- 1:16:48Speaker 2: in the middle of all that. He published a book.
- 1:16:51Speaker 2: Nobody's ever going to buy a book by Chuck Schumer.
- 1:16:53Speaker 2: Nobody's going to read a book by Chuck Schumer. But
- 1:16:55Speaker 2: he published a book. It was called Anti-Semitism, Battling Anti-Semitism. Well,
- 1:17:00Speaker 2: why would a guy who's allowing it all over the
- 1:17:02Speaker 2: place write a book like that? Well, it was to
- 1:17:04Speaker 2: give himself cover. So after that, whenever he was confronted
- 1:17:09Speaker 2: or somebody said, hey, how come you didn't do anything
- 1:17:11Speaker 2: about this anti-Semitism? I just wrote a book about anti-Semitism,
- 1:17:15Speaker 2: gave him cover. So this could be what Mamdani's up to.
- 1:17:18Speaker 2: He's about to pull some crap. And this will be
- 1:17:21Speaker 2: the cover. Anybody says anything from now on, he'll point
- 1:17:24Speaker 2: to his battle against anti-Semitism.
- 1:17:26Speaker 25: Jewish New Yorkers should feel cherished and celebrated in the
- 1:17:29Speaker 25: most Jewish city in America. That's why we are investing
- 1:17:33Speaker 25: millions in Jewish cultural centers and nonprofits.
- 1:17:36Speaker 2: Yeah, so obviously he's about to pull some anti-Semitic crap.
- 1:17:41Speaker 2: That's why he's doing this. This is going to be
- 1:17:44Speaker 2: cover for whatever he does. Hey, the Ukraine war, you know,
- 1:17:49Speaker 2: told you about how Ukraine has been brilliant in this war,
- 1:17:54Speaker 2: holding off the Russians. And then the next thing you know,
- 1:17:57Speaker 2: you know, they're begging us for weapons. The next thing
- 1:17:59Speaker 2: you know, they build their own drone factories. They start
- 1:18:02Speaker 2: making the best state of the art drones in the world,
- 1:18:05Speaker 2: built their own factories, have been turning in them. turning
- 1:18:08Speaker 2: them out by the thousands, built their own missile factories.
- 1:18:12Speaker 2: To point out, we're going to be buying drones from Ukraine.
- 1:18:16Speaker 2: So the next thing is, and they've been going after
- 1:18:19Speaker 2: Russia like crazy, they've invented this kamikaze zombie car. It's
- 1:18:25Speaker 2: a self-driving BTR-60 armored vehicle. They've been making these, and
- 1:18:31Speaker 2: they've been attacking the most heavily fortified Russian positions with them.
- 1:18:35Speaker 2: They're armored vehicles that are fast and they can race
- 1:18:38Speaker 2: across muddy terrain, barrel into barracks and whatever, and blow
- 1:18:43Speaker 2: up Russians. These armored vehicles are unbelievable. Ukraine has figured
- 1:18:48Speaker 2: out how to make them. It's an amazing invention. These
- 1:18:51Speaker 2: guys have become the greatest innovators. They've been holding off
- 1:18:55Speaker 2: the Russians for a long time. Now they're at the
- 1:18:57Speaker 2: point where they're actually seizing territory back from Russia. Hey,
- 1:19:03Speaker 2: that evil, crazy, dirty Jack Smith, he's... It was torn
- 1:19:09Speaker 2: apart yesterday, left and right. But stuff was coming out.
- 1:19:13Speaker 2: You know, this guy did the most dirty investigations of everybody,
- 1:19:17Speaker 2: anything conservative. But he also went after reporters. Over 50
- 1:19:21Speaker 2: reporters had their messages accessed by Jack Smith. He seized
- 1:19:26Speaker 2: messages between the White House and 44 people in Congress.
- 1:19:31Speaker 2: This is totally unethical. You're not supposed to do this.
- 1:19:34Speaker 2: He took bank account numbers. home addresses of Republican donors
- 1:19:38Speaker 2: and went after them. Horrible stuff. Absolutely horrible. The dirtiest
- 1:19:43Speaker 2: guy in the world, Jack Smith. So we'll see it.
- 1:19:46Speaker 2: Hopefully there'll be criminal referrals coming out of this. Hey,
- 1:19:49Speaker 2: we'll take some calls next. 800-321-0710 is the number. If
- 1:19:55Speaker 2: you're a new caller or you haven't called yet, we'd
- 1:19:57Speaker 2: like new callers. 800-321-0710 is the number. Oh, check out
- 1:20:00Speaker 2: my Instagram account. I was telling you about this yesterday.
- 1:20:05Speaker 2: We were talking about Johnny Carson, his actual desk from
- 1:20:09Speaker 2: The Tonight Show, the Johnny Carson desk from The Tonight Show,
- 1:20:12Speaker 2: and the chair and the couch from The Tonight Show.
- 1:20:15Speaker 2: They're in the Museum of Broadcasting, the Paley Center, over
- 1:20:19Speaker 2: on 52nd Street. You can go in and see them.
- 1:20:21Speaker 2: Take a look at my Instagram. I went to see it.
- 1:20:23Speaker 2: There's a picture of me sitting in Carson's actual desk,
- 1:20:26Speaker 2: but it's now there if you want to see it.
- 1:20:28Speaker 2: Just go to MarkSimoneNYC at Instagram. MarkSimoneNYC at Instagram. Hey,
- 1:20:35Speaker 2: we'll take some calls next. 800-321-0710.
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: What's better than two hours of Mark Simone?
- 1:20:43Speaker 2: Three.
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: The Mark Simone Show. Now nine till noon weekdays.
- 1:20:50Speaker 3: 710WOR.
- 1:20:51Speaker 2: Well, I don't think it's going to work, but let's
- 1:20:53Speaker 2: see if the phone works here. Let's go to Bobby
- 1:20:59Speaker 2: in Salem. Bobby, are you there?
- 1:21:01Speaker 18: Yes, we're here, Mark.
- 1:21:03Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:21:05Speaker 2: Salem where? Oregon?
- 1:21:07Speaker 18: Salem, Connecticut.
- 1:21:08Speaker 2: Oh, there's a Salem in Connecticut? Where is that?
- 1:21:11Speaker 18: Yeah, Salem, Connecticut. All the witches escaped from Salem, Massachusetts,
- 1:21:15Speaker 18: came down to Connecticut, and they all harbored around this
- 1:21:18Speaker 18: place called the Devil's Hop Yard, which is East Adam
- 1:21:21Speaker 18: in Salem. Anyway, that's not why I called. All right.
- 1:21:25Speaker 18: The reason why I called.
- 1:21:26Speaker 2: You're happy you called. Sounds a little nuts, but we're
- 1:21:29Speaker 2: happy you called.
- 1:21:31Speaker 18: No, but that's the truth. They didn't have any people
- 1:21:34Speaker 18: burned at the stakes, but they did a lot of
- 1:21:36Speaker 18: animal sacrifices.
- 1:21:38Speaker 2: Ah, that's great. Sounds really nuts, doesn't it?
- 1:21:42Speaker 3: Yes.
- 1:21:43Speaker 18: What I was thinking about, look, the Trump administration, I
- 1:21:46Speaker 18: think what they, an idea I came up with that
- 1:21:48Speaker 18: they should do. Maybe they will, maybe they won't. I
- 1:21:50Speaker 18: think they should call for a suspension on all federal
- 1:21:53Speaker 18: taxes on all petroleum products for the next 90 days.
- 1:21:57Speaker 18: Everybody's complaining about gas.
- 1:21:58Speaker 2: You came up with that, huh?
- 1:21:59Speaker 9: Yes.
- 1:22:00Speaker 7: No, no, no, Mike.
- 1:22:01Speaker 2: Everybody's been saying that for a while. Everybody's been saying that.
- 1:22:04Speaker 18: No, no, no, Mike.
- 1:22:05Speaker 2: No, it's a good idea to do that.
- 1:22:07Speaker 18: That's for the federal government. But then what they should do,
- 1:22:10Speaker 18: they should put out a list of all the states
- 1:22:13Speaker 18: that have the highest taxes on petroleum products.
- 1:22:17Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:22:17Speaker 2: No, we got it.
- 1:22:18Speaker 18: We got it.
- 1:22:18Speaker 12: We got it.
- 1:22:19Speaker 2: Bobby, it's a good idea. Let's get rid of Bobby.
- 1:22:21Speaker 2: It's a good idea. But you know who did it? Actually,
- 1:22:25Speaker 2: everybody's been talking about doing it. They should do that
- 1:22:26Speaker 2: in New York. The tax on gas is like 75
- 1:22:28Speaker 2: cents a gallon. Just lift it for 60 days. They
- 1:22:32Speaker 2: did it in Texas. Abbott removed the gas tax, I think,
- 1:22:35Speaker 2: for 60 days. And then he can keep doing that.
- 1:22:39Speaker 2: So let's try. Let me see. Let me look down this.
- 1:22:43Speaker 2: Let's go to Cheryl in Farmingdale. Cheryl, how are you doing? Cheryl?
- 1:22:51Speaker 17: Yeah, I'm here.
- 1:22:52Speaker 2: You're on. Cheryl, go ahead.
- 1:22:55Speaker 17: I have a.
- 1:22:56Speaker 27: Couple of questions about the Lindsay Clancy case.
- 1:22:59Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:23:01Speaker 18: Okay.
- 1:23:01Speaker 9: How come she can talk to him but not to
- 1:23:04Speaker 9: the first three sponsors? That doesn't make sense.
- 1:23:07Speaker 2: Well, that's a good question.
- 1:23:08Speaker 9: When he supposedly found her outside underneath the window.
- 1:23:14Speaker 17: And then she was a nurse.
- 1:23:15Speaker 9: She would know where the main artery is in her wrist.
- 1:23:18Speaker 9: You cut that, you bleed out.
- 1:23:19Speaker 2: That's a very good point. That's an excellent point. Yeah,
- 1:23:22Speaker 2: she claimed that she tried to commit suicide, but she
- 1:23:26Speaker 2: cut the wrong vein. But it's a very good point.
- 1:23:30Speaker 2: She's a nurse. she would have known how to hit
- 1:23:33Speaker 2: the right vein. So yeah, the whole story, it's just crazy.
- 1:23:36Speaker 2: Let's go to Chris in Manhattan. Chris, how you doing?
- 1:23:42Speaker 14: I'm okay.
- 1:23:42Speaker 2: How are you, Mark?
- 1:23:43Speaker 9: Good.
- 1:23:43Speaker 2: Good.
- 1:23:45Speaker 15: Listen, last time I called, you said I was a
- 1:23:47Speaker 15: reverse barometer because I said that we're going to get smoked.
- 1:23:51Speaker 2: You're a panicking and whatever he says never happens.
- 1:23:54Speaker 15: After that, Ann Coulter called up and used the word
- 1:23:57Speaker 15: bloodbath also. And you just had the other guy on
- 1:23:59Speaker 15: saying it doesn't look good that we're going to lose
- 1:24:01Speaker 15: the House and maybe the Senate. What do we do
- 1:24:05Speaker 15: to prepare for this?
- 1:24:06Speaker 2: Well, Ed Rollins I would worry about because he knows
- 1:24:09Speaker 2: his stuff. But if you say we're going to lose,
- 1:24:11Speaker 2: then we're probably going to win because, again— Okay, well,
- 1:24:13Speaker 2: I hope I'm wrong.
- 1:24:14Speaker 15: But really, I mean, everything that's going to happen to
- 1:24:17Speaker 15: us was done to us by Trump. I mean, when
- 1:24:19Speaker 15: I think about what his accomplishments now— I think of
- 1:24:22Speaker 15: the gold in the White House. I think of him
- 1:24:25Speaker 15: building arches to himself like Napoleon.
- 1:24:28Speaker 2: But that has nothing to do with the subject. That
- 1:24:31Speaker 2: doesn't mean it. It's like what color tie he wore.
- 1:24:33Speaker 2: It has nothing to do with anything.
- 1:24:35Speaker 15: I'm not so happy with him now.
- 1:24:37Speaker 2: You were never happy with him. You always were upset
- 1:24:39Speaker 2: with him.
- 1:24:40Speaker 15: I love him. I voted for him three times.
- 1:24:42Speaker 2: If you're worried about the ballroom, you're way off. Or gold.
- 1:24:48Speaker 2: His decorating taste is silly. But that has nothing to
- 1:24:50Speaker 2: do with anything. Nothing to do with anything. His economic
- 1:24:54Speaker 2: achievements are amazing. We've had 80 records in the stock
- 1:24:58Speaker 2: market in the last year and a half. Wages are up.
- 1:25:02Speaker 2: Median income is up. Poverty level, lowest rate ever. The
- 1:25:07Speaker 2: border has been sealed. He's gotten a million criminals out
- 1:25:11Speaker 2: of the country. That's all pretty good stuff. The arch
- 1:25:14Speaker 2: is silly, but that doesn't matter. It doesn't mean anything.
- 1:25:16Speaker 2: It's just a little side stuff. So don't worry about it, Chris.
- 1:25:19Speaker 2: Thanks for calling. Let's go to Uh, let's go to
- 1:25:24Speaker 2: Steve in Brooklyn. Steve, how you doing?
- 1:25:27Speaker 6: Good, Mark.
- 1:25:28Speaker 9: I got two points to make. If, uh, if I
- 1:25:31Speaker 9: can make them and, uh, let's hear the.
- 1:25:33Speaker 2: First one, then we'll decide if we want to hear
- 1:25:34Speaker 2: the second one.
- 1:25:36Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:25:36Speaker 9: Oh, okay.
- 1:25:37Speaker 3: Sure.
- 1:25:38Speaker 9: Okay. First thing is, um, the P Diddy.
- 1:25:41Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:25:41Speaker 9: We were talking about P Diddy before, right?
- 1:25:43Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:25:44Speaker 9: Before, I think you should always mention when you first
- 1:25:49Speaker 9: that they dropped, uh, two charges, beating his girlfriend and
- 1:25:54Speaker 9: the gun charge, you're guaranteed, especially the gun charge, where
- 1:25:57Speaker 9: they want to prosecute anybody for gun charges, but yet
- 1:26:01Speaker 9: they drop it for him.
- 1:26:02Speaker 2: All right, not so fascinating, but give us the second one. Okay, sorry.
- 1:26:08Speaker 9: The second one is like, still don't see anybody getting
- 1:26:13Speaker 9: prosecuted for, especially the politicians for crimes, especially what they
- 1:26:19Speaker 9: would lying for Trump and then, like, the fraud with Medicare.
- 1:26:25Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I know what you're saying. You know, the
- 1:26:27Speaker 2: problem is the criminal referral, whether it's a Fauci type
- 1:26:31Speaker 2: or something like that. But, you know, the problem is
- 1:26:33Speaker 2: it's D.C. You've got these left-wing judges. If you're a
- 1:26:36Speaker 2: Trump hater, they'll never prosecute you, and that's part of
- 1:26:38Speaker 2: the problem. Hey, let's go to Meryl in, what is that, Hardison,
- 1:26:43Speaker 2: New Jersey. Meryl, are you there?
- 1:26:45Speaker 12: Yes, I'm here.
- 1:26:46Speaker 19: Hi, Mark.
- 1:26:46Speaker 21: How are you?
- 1:26:47Speaker 2: How are you doing?
- 1:26:49Speaker 6: Good.
- 1:26:49Speaker 27: Long-time listener, a little nervous to call.
- 1:26:52Speaker 2: Don't be nervous. Don't be nervous. No reason to be nervous.
- 1:26:56Speaker 2: There's only a few million people listening. If you make
- 1:26:58Speaker 2: any mistake, you'll be humiliated and embarrassed for the rest
- 1:27:01Speaker 2: of your life. But don't be nervous. One slip and
- 1:27:04Speaker 2: you could be laughed at everywhere for years.
- 1:27:07Speaker 27: I'm more nervous.
- 1:27:09Speaker 2: No, don't be nervous.
- 1:27:10Speaker 9: I have a question.
- 1:27:11Speaker 27: I keep certain liberal friends are telling me that The
- 1:27:14Speaker 27: Trump family has made billions since he became president. And
- 1:27:17Speaker 27: I tried to look it up, and they keep all
- 1:27:20Speaker 27: the articles sounding like corruption, which I just don't believe.
- 1:27:24Speaker 2: Well, actually, they have made billions of dollars in the
- 1:27:27Speaker 2: last couple of years. What they forget to tell you
- 1:27:29Speaker 2: is before he was president, they were making billions of dollars.
- 1:27:32Speaker 2: They've been doing it all along.
- 1:27:34Speaker 27: Well, that's what I wondered. Is it from his investments
- 1:27:36Speaker 27: in the stock market?
- 1:27:37Speaker 2: Yeah, there's Bitcoin, and they're selling all kinds of stuff,
- 1:27:40Speaker 2: and they do that. Every president... has got a brother,
- 1:27:44Speaker 2: an uncle, a cousin who's profiting off the presidency from
- 1:27:48Speaker 2: Billy Carter to Roger Clinton to whoever. It always happens.
- 1:27:52Speaker 2: The difference is they were all like bumbling idiots who
- 1:27:56Speaker 2: didn't know anything about business. In this case, these Trump
- 1:28:00Speaker 2: kids are like billionaires to begin with. They were billionaires
- 1:28:03Speaker 2: before Trump got elected. They're running a multi-billion dollar international business,
- 1:28:09Speaker 2: so they're always making billions. I mean, it These two
- 1:28:13Speaker 2: kids are building hotels and resorts and golf courses. Go
- 1:28:19Speaker 2: to the Trump Organization website. Look at the hotels they
- 1:28:22Speaker 2: have around the world. They've got 100-story skyscrapers, hundreds of
- 1:28:26Speaker 2: them all over the world. You make billions when you
- 1:28:29Speaker 2: do that kind of stuff. They were already making billions. Hey,
- 1:28:32Speaker 2: when we come back, Ann Coulter, she'll be with us
- 1:28:34Speaker 2: next on 710 wor.
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: Live from the wor life back studios mark simone.
- 1:28:45Speaker 2: Well ann coulter the best-selling author the great columnist you
- 1:28:49Speaker 2: could make sure you follow her on twitter ann coulter
- 1:28:51Speaker 2: is very good on twitter and even better is her
- 1:28:53Speaker 2: sub stack you got the videos and podcasts and columns
- 1:28:57Speaker 2: and interviews, anncoulter.substack.com. Then she's got a Rumble channel. You
- 1:29:03Speaker 2: can watch her on Rumble. There's a lot of good
- 1:29:05Speaker 2: stuff up there. Ann Coulter, how are you doing?
- 1:29:08Speaker 6: Fantastic.
- 1:29:10Speaker 17: How are you, Mark Simone?
- 1:29:11Speaker 2: I'm good. I'm good. I don't like this fall coming
- 1:29:14Speaker 2: in so fast. Do you hear that? They were talking
- 1:29:16Speaker 2: about Halloween and the Christmas trees coming to Rockefeller Center,
- 1:29:19Speaker 2: and this is going way too fast, isn't it?
- 1:29:22Speaker 17: Oh, that's fantastic. We can go see the tree together again.
- 1:29:26Speaker 17: I love the tree.
- 1:29:28Speaker 2: It's the same tree every year. You've seen it a
- 1:29:30Speaker 2: hundred times.
- 1:29:34Speaker 17: Yes, it's the same Christmas decorations, and it's so pretty.
- 1:29:37Speaker 17: I love New York City at Christmastime. Oh, you're such
- 1:29:40Speaker 17: a curmudgeon.
- 1:29:41Speaker 2: Oh, well, hey, what's going on in Florida? This governor's
- 1:29:44Speaker 2: race with Byron Donalds, he should have been a shoe-in.
- 1:29:47Speaker 2: Now he's battling and fighting. What's going to happen down there?
- 1:29:53Speaker 17: I don't know. I assume a Republican will win. I mean, DeSantis,
- 1:29:58Speaker 17: not necessarily because of... Although, Byron, Dan, it was fine.
- 1:30:03Speaker 17: But DeSantis has just worked miracles in that state. He
- 1:30:07Speaker 17: has turned it from purple to trending blue to really
- 1:30:14Speaker 17: pretty solid red now. And it's hard for me to
- 1:30:18Speaker 17: believe that that little... his opponent is going to win.
- 1:30:24Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:30:25Speaker 2: He's not the best.
- 1:30:26Speaker 17: I don't think any Democrat can win. They're just, maybe
- 1:30:28Speaker 17: I'm wrong about that. And I've put too much stock in,
- 1:30:31Speaker 17: in DeSantis. I mean, the sad thing is even thinking
- 1:30:34Speaker 17: about it is it's just heartbreaking that DeSantis can't run
- 1:30:37Speaker 17: for another term. Um, I will remind you, I've always
- 1:30:40Speaker 17: been against term limits. I know Republicans tend to think
- 1:30:44Speaker 17: maybe Democrats do too, but it's like this silver bullet
- 1:30:47Speaker 17: solution to, to avoid corruption. No, it really isn't. Um,
- 1:30:53Speaker 17: States that have term limits are about the same as
- 1:30:57Speaker 17: states that don't, or surprisingly. The senators you remember are
- 1:31:02Speaker 17: the ones who are long-serving, but there does tend to
- 1:31:07Speaker 17: be a lot of turnover. But the main thing is,
- 1:31:09Speaker 17: once you get a really great senator or a really
- 1:31:12Speaker 17: great governor, you want to keep them. I wish we
- 1:31:16Speaker 17: could have kept Bloomberg as mayor of New York. Think
- 1:31:19Speaker 17: how wonderful that.
- 1:31:20Speaker 12: Would have been.
- 1:31:21Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, but what you're talking about is like one
- 1:31:24Speaker 2: out of 5,000 politicians that you want to keep.
- 1:31:28Speaker 17: The ones that aren't that great, the turnover is much...
- 1:31:32Speaker 17: I don't have it off the top of my head.
- 1:31:34Speaker 17: I have looked this up before, but the average number
- 1:31:37Speaker 17: of years in the Senate for all senators and the
- 1:31:41Speaker 17: average number of years in the House is not that long.
- 1:31:45Speaker 17: You'd be surprised because you forget the names of the
- 1:31:48Speaker 17: guys who only serve a term. I work for a
- 1:31:50Speaker 17: senator who served a term. Nobody remembers his name.
- 1:31:53Speaker 2: Yeah, that's true. Hey, I found this fascinating, the AI
- 1:31:58Speaker 2: meeting yesterday. They assembled the 12 most brilliant human beings
- 1:32:02Speaker 2: in the history of the world, the greatest geniuses ever,
- 1:32:05Speaker 2: what to do about AI. Do you know what they
- 1:32:07Speaker 2: came up with at the end? They're going to have
- 1:32:09Speaker 2: a committee and then have a panel. This is what
- 1:32:12Speaker 2: they came up with? We could have thought of that.
- 1:32:16Speaker 17: No, I actually... You will be pleased to hear this, Mr. Simone.
- 1:32:20Speaker 17: You know I do voice my criticisms of the president
- 1:32:23Speaker 17: when I have them. This is something he has been
- 1:32:27Speaker 17: absolutely fantastic on and so much better than many, many,
- 1:32:32Speaker 17: many other Republicans. So much better than, for example, Fox
- 1:32:35Speaker 17: News and other conservative alleged spokesmen. And that is on
- 1:32:40Speaker 17: this AI business. Trump is right. uh... the populist art
- 1:32:45Speaker 17: are wrong and what a real leader does if tell
- 1:32:49Speaker 17: them they're wrong and explain to them why they're wrong uh...
- 1:32:53Speaker 17: i i i i get sick of politicians and and
- 1:32:56Speaker 17: pundits who just you know stick their finger in the
- 1:32:59Speaker 17: air figure out which way the wind is blowing uh...
- 1:33:02Speaker 17: no you can't do this isn't this isn't the job
- 1:33:05Speaker 17: of the average man on the street who have other
- 1:33:08Speaker 17: things to do like you know his job your job
- 1:33:11Speaker 17: is to understand things And to explain why this is
- 1:33:16Speaker 17: a terrible idea to have regulation, as I have done
- 1:33:19Speaker 17: in my last two columns on this, which you can
- 1:33:22Speaker 17: see at my Substack, AnnCoulter.Substack.com and AnnCoulter.com, regulation is just
- 1:33:31Speaker 17: a way for the oligopolists to maintain their monopoly. The
- 1:33:37Speaker 17: big guys love regulation. It's the little upstarts. who might
- 1:33:43Speaker 17: be able to beat the competition that's that's what regulation
- 1:33:47Speaker 17: is about and this is utterly completely preposterous this idea
- 1:33:52Speaker 17: that oh yeah it could kill us all uh... the
- 1:33:56Speaker 17: guy from anthropic was going around saying that jake cocked
- 1:33:59Speaker 17: up all over the news he was he was like
- 1:34:03Speaker 17: i don't know the new what was the name of
- 1:34:06Speaker 17: that guy who went to prison and the Democrats wanted
- 1:34:08Speaker 17: to run for president against Trump.
- 1:34:10Speaker 2: Oh, Avenatti.
- 1:34:13Speaker 17: Yeah, he's the new Michael Avenatti for every channel. He's
- 1:34:18Speaker 17: even on the cartoon channel. AI is going to kill
- 1:34:20Speaker 17: us all. And, you know, he kept bragging about how
- 1:34:24Speaker 17: he resigned from anthropology. He has no equity. He has
- 1:34:28Speaker 17: nothing to gain from going around saying this is dangerous, dangerous.
- 1:34:32Speaker 17: But no, before that he worked for OpenAI, and he
- 1:34:35Speaker 17: does have stock in OpenAI. You drive the stock prices
- 1:34:40Speaker 17: up by acting like this technology is so incredibly powerful
- 1:34:46Speaker 17: that it could destroy the world. Oh my gosh, you've
- 1:34:48Speaker 17: got to invest in that. Who knew this was more
- 1:34:51Speaker 17: powerful than a nuclear bomb? Well, as I wrote in
- 1:34:53Speaker 17: my column last week, not the first column explaining the
- 1:34:56Speaker 17: regulation point, I just went through a bunch of questions
- 1:34:59Speaker 17: I've asked of Google AI. and the absurd politically correct answers,
- 1:35:07Speaker 17: and refusal to punctuate a column, just absurd answers you
- 1:35:12Speaker 17: get from them, as you probably know. All these AI
- 1:35:18Speaker 17: systems have been asked year after year after year to
- 1:35:21Speaker 17: predict what will happen in the Kentucky Derby. Now, maybe
- 1:35:24Speaker 17: not just the winner, but you get like the top five,
- 1:35:28Speaker 17: and they put in all the data. This is what
- 1:35:31Speaker 17: AI is supposed to be so great at. They pour through.
- 1:35:34Speaker 17: They can analyze just gobs and gobs of information that
- 1:35:38Speaker 17: would have taken miles of computers to analyze before, and
- 1:35:42Speaker 17: all these different news organizations. ask them to look at
- 1:35:45Speaker 17: track conditions, predictions, training, you know, pedigree of the horse,
- 1:35:50Speaker 17: everything you can possibly look at. And every year, not
- 1:35:54Speaker 17: only are the AI predictions wrong, they're shockingly confident and detailed. And,
- 1:36:01Speaker 17: you know, at this pole, this horse will pull ahead,
- 1:36:04Speaker 17: and then the other one will really kick in. And
- 1:36:07Speaker 17: they have been spectacularly wrong. I think I told you
- 1:36:11Speaker 17: last week about the Chevrolet dealership that used ChatGPT for
- 1:36:16Speaker 17: help with customer service. Can't they just explain how the
- 1:36:18Speaker 17: car works? And all these ChatGPTs at Chevrolet dealerships around
- 1:36:25Speaker 17: the country, they started selling $ 76, 000 cars for $ 1. That's
- 1:36:31Speaker 17: how great it's working. So that's why they want people
- 1:36:34Speaker 17: and potential investors to think, whoa, this is so powerful
- 1:36:38Speaker 17: it could kill us all. No, it can't kill us all.
- 1:36:40Speaker 17: So Trump is right, and good for him. This is
- 1:36:44Speaker 17: what a leader is supposed to do.
- 1:36:46Speaker 2: Hey, Ann Coulter, did you see the Bruce Blakeman tax plan?
- 1:36:50Speaker 2: It's a phenomenal tax plan. No tax, people under $ 50, 000,
- 1:36:54Speaker 2: married couples, nobody under $ 100, 000 pays any tax. Amazing tax rates,
- 1:37:00Speaker 2: cut $ 20 billion out of it. Isn't that what all
- 1:37:02Speaker 2: the Republicans are supposed to be doing, pitching stuff like that?
- 1:37:06Speaker 17: Well, I kind of disagree with you on that. I
- 1:37:08Speaker 17: think everybody should have some skin in the game. That's
- 1:37:12Speaker 17: my complaint. It's one of my many complaints. I have
- 1:37:14Speaker 17: so many complaints with George Bush that this probably wouldn't
- 1:37:18Speaker 17: be in the top 50. But his big tax cut,
- 1:37:21Speaker 17: remember he was bragging about how he's going to knock 20%
- 1:37:25Speaker 17: of taxpayers. They don't have to pay any taxes.
- 1:37:28Speaker 16: Well, okay.
- 1:37:29Speaker 17: And by the way, he gets no credit from the
- 1:37:31Speaker 17: New York Times for that.
- 1:37:32Speaker 9: Zero.
- 1:37:33Speaker 5: Zilch.
- 1:37:34Speaker 17: But he's just taken away one of Republicans' best issues.
- 1:37:38Speaker 17: When half of Americans aren't paying taxes, they're not voting
- 1:37:42Speaker 17: to lower taxes. Poor people or people at the lower end,
- 1:37:47Speaker 17: they're not really that poor. If they're making $ 50, 000, they're
- 1:37:49Speaker 17: doing fine. But the lower half... and particularly poor people,
- 1:37:56Speaker 17: get a lot more in government services than the ones
- 1:37:59Speaker 17: who are paying for those government services. I think everybody
- 1:38:02Speaker 17: needs to have skin in the game. I'm against completely
- 1:38:04Speaker 17: throwing everyone off.
- 1:38:06Speaker 2: That's a very good point. That's an excellent answer.
- 1:38:08Speaker 17: Tax rolls.
- 1:38:09Speaker 12: Wow.
- 1:38:10Speaker 2: All right. Well, Ann Coulter, great stuff. Everybody follow her
- 1:38:13Speaker 2: on Twitter. And even better is her Substack. You can
- 1:38:16Speaker 2: go sign up for her Substack. She's got all sorts
- 1:38:19Speaker 2: of stuff on Substack. You go to anncoulter.substack. And make
- 1:38:24Speaker 2: sure to watch her Rumble channel. It's very good. It's
- 1:38:26Speaker 2: Ann Coulter on Rumble. A lot of stuff up there.
- 1:38:29Speaker 2: New stuff on Thursday, right?
- 1:38:31Speaker 17: Yes, 5 p.m.
- 1:38:33Speaker 4: Live. All right.
- 1:38:34Speaker 2: So take a look at that. Ann Coulter, thanks for
- 1:38:36Speaker 2: being with us.
- 1:38:38Speaker 17: Good to talk to you, Mark Simone. Can't wait to
- 1:38:40Speaker 17: go to the Christmas tree with you.
- 1:38:41Speaker 2: There you go. All right. Thanks for calling. Thanks for
- 1:38:44Speaker 2: being with us. Thanks for checking in. Yeah. The Christmas
- 1:38:50Speaker 2: tree is coming. I can't believe it. They've already announced it.
- 1:38:53Speaker 2: November 7th. The tree arrives here in New York. Hey,
- 1:38:58Speaker 2: I'm here three hours every day now. It's 9 to noon.
- 1:39:01Speaker 2: We start at 9 a.m.
- 1:39:02Speaker 4: Now.
- 1:39:02Speaker 2: 9 to noon every day. Then at noon, you got
- 1:39:05Speaker 2: Buck and Clay. That's a very good show every day.
- 1:39:07Speaker 2: And then you got the most listened to radio show
- 1:39:09Speaker 2: in America, Sean Hannity at 3. Jesse Kelly, 6 o'clock
- 1:39:13Speaker 2: every night. Jimmy Fallon. What a funny and interesting show
- 1:39:17Speaker 2: every night, 9 to midnight. Hey, and don't forget. Before me,
- 1:39:20Speaker 2: it's Curtis Lewa, Larry Menti, 6 to 9 every morning
- 1:39:24Speaker 2: on 710WOR.
- 1:39:26Speaker 8: No.
- 1:39:27Speaker 1: The Mark Simone Show. 9 till noon weekdays. More Mark.
- 1:39:32Speaker 9: 710WOR.
- 1:39:32Speaker 2: Hey, so tonight the Yankees, it'll be game two of
- 1:39:39Speaker 2: the wild card. They could clinch it tonight. It'll be
- 1:39:43Speaker 2: a great game tonight.
- 1:39:45Speaker 19: Now.
- 1:39:47Speaker 2: This week, weather, today, weather will be great. 75, there'll
- 1:39:51Speaker 2: be some sunshine today, 75 degrees. We deserve it after
- 1:39:54Speaker 2: that horrible weekend. It'll be like this for the rest
- 1:39:57Speaker 2: of the week. In fact, Friday, Friday it'll be in
- 1:40:00Speaker 2: the 80s, should be about 82. This might be the
- 1:40:03Speaker 2: last 80-degree day for the whole year. And that rain
- 1:40:09Speaker 2: in the forecast for the weekend, they took that out
- 1:40:11Speaker 2: of the forecast. So it looks like it's going to
- 1:40:12Speaker 2: be a beautiful fall weekend. Hey, we're out of time.
