- 0:10Speaker 1: Welcome to Girls Gone Hallmark, a Hallmark review podcast. I'm
- 0:13Speaker 1: Megan and I'm a longtime Hallmark fan. I'm Windy. I'm
- 0:16Speaker 1: a former Hallmark hater. You asked and we're delivering. It's
- 0:20Speaker 1: time for a Hallmark Headlines episode. I just hear, like,
- 0:25Speaker 1: what do you do? Yeah? Yeah, headline episodes. They're hard
- 0:32Speaker 1: to do for us. One because like breaking news happens
- 0:36Speaker 1: right breaking Hallmark newssus.
- 0:39Speaker 2: And then we got to find a time when we
- 0:41Speaker 2: can be together, and then we gotta find a time
- 0:43Speaker 2: when we can put it out on the schedule.
- 0:44Speaker 1: And then if it's late, and sometimes I worry, I like,
- 0:46Speaker 1: it's been a week, does anybody care? But I think
- 0:48Speaker 1: people care about some of this information, and they may
- 0:51Speaker 1: not be not everybody's watching for Hallmark News as closely
- 0:54Speaker 1: as we are. And in our survey, you asked for
- 0:59Speaker 1: more Hallmark Headlines episodes and there's there's a fair bit
- 1:03Speaker 1: to talk about here. Well, Megan curated this list. I did.
- 1:08Speaker 2: This is the first time I'm seeing it. Okay, Megan's
- 1:11Speaker 2: chronically online, guys. She okay, I mean it's not untrue,
- 1:18Speaker 2: but she.
- 1:19Speaker 1: Knows of like influencers.
- 1:21Speaker 2: I've never heard of before she follows the raging Adhd.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Guys, I just consume a lot of stuff.
- 1:28Speaker 2: You do, which is great, not that you have raging adhd.
- 1:32Speaker 2: You just consume a lot of stuff.
- 1:33Speaker 1: You're my gud. I to assume little bits of lots
- 1:36Speaker 1: of things. I think that would be. And my fault
- 1:39Speaker 1: is like it's in one ear out to the other,
- 1:41Speaker 1: for I don't remember, I don't retain a what she
- 1:46Speaker 1: just remembered something something for me to retain a fish oil?
- 1:53Speaker 1: What is it? What is this? Oh God, I'm scared.
- 1:57Speaker 1: What does this have to do with Hallmark anything? And
- 2:00Speaker 1: it's related to our business? Okay, all right, if you'd
- 2:02Speaker 1: like me to cut this out, I will. Let's just
- 2:04Speaker 1: let's get through it and we'll see. In my home
- 2:06Speaker 1: we are turning what it was formerly the playroom into
- 2:09Speaker 1: an office. But I'm calling it the podcast studio because
- 2:12Speaker 1: it makes me feel good. I like the whimsy of that. Yeah.
- 2:15Speaker 1: And my husband and I were out this weekend and
- 2:16Speaker 1: we walked into a little store on the babble of
- 2:19Speaker 1: Peninsula who's a candy store, and they were selling choch keys.
- 2:22Speaker 1: And in that store, I bought the very first item
- 2:24Speaker 1: for our new studio and it is a coaster, and
- 2:31Speaker 1: the coaster says goldfish memory. That's us, because that is
- 2:36Speaker 1: what we have. That is us. So it's the first item.
- 2:40Speaker 1: I love it for our new studio. I love it
- 2:44Speaker 1: in one ear out the other. Well, let's kick off
- 2:46Speaker 1: our Hallmark Headlines discussion. First up, Sleepy Kitty Pat has
- 2:51Speaker 1: the hot holiday movie goss. As per usual, so we
- 2:55Speaker 1: have some tidbits out some upcoming movies for the holidays.
- 3:00Speaker 1: One of these is not a holiday movie. Okay, here's
- 3:04Speaker 1: here's some little tidbits. We have a cowboy Christmas coming
- 3:07Speaker 1: this movie. Again, this is all per Sleepy Kitti pod.
- 3:10Speaker 1: This movie is about a disgraced talk show host who
- 3:13Speaker 1: reunites with a former co host on her horse therapy
- 3:16Speaker 1: ranch to help with the family's annual Christmas rodeo in
- 3:19Speaker 1: hopes of good pr Ooh we know. It's directed by
- 3:22Speaker 1: Peter Benson. Amy Acker, who was last on Hallmark and
- 3:26Speaker 1: Crashing through the Snow is going to be in it.
- 3:28Speaker 1: It is set to film in May. I wonder if
- 3:30Speaker 1: that means it is a Christmas in July movie. Crashing
- 3:33Speaker 1: through the Snow that Amy Acker was last in was
- 3:36Speaker 1: a Christmas in July movie I believe in twenty twenty one. Hmmm,
- 3:40Speaker 1: but it could just be there's just because it's filming
- 3:43Speaker 1: in May doesn't mean it's coming out early. We can't
- 3:46Speaker 1: fill them all in August. Do we know who's attached
- 3:48Speaker 1: to this? In these lead roles? Amy Acker? Who's the
- 3:52Speaker 1: That's all we know. This is like, we don't have
- 3:55Speaker 1: full fleshed out information about these This is just like
- 3:57Speaker 1: little bits that are dropping I'd seek It's so.
- 4:01Speaker 2: The curve ball here is why does a co host
- 4:05Speaker 2: of a talk show have a horse therapy ranch as well?
- 4:08Speaker 1: I think she's going to the former co host's new
- 4:11Speaker 1: horse therapy ranch. Yeah, the former co host? Why do
- 4:15Speaker 1: they have a horse therapy ranch? Oh? They left the
- 4:18Speaker 1: talk show biz? Okay, Yeah, we have a movie with
- 4:23Speaker 1: the working title No Screens Christmas filming in Utah this summer.
- 4:26Speaker 1: That's all we know.
- 4:27Speaker 2: No screens Christmas. That sounds terrible, Not the movie sounds terrible,
- 4:32Speaker 2: the thought of a no screen Actually, I joke. I
- 4:37Speaker 2: think I need a digital detox is.
- 4:39Speaker 1: What I need in my life. Yeah, Wendy and I
- 4:43Speaker 1: need to brick our phones. Can I do the next one? Yeah,
- 4:46Speaker 1: Palmark is adapting Much Ado about Nothing into a film
- 4:49Speaker 1: called Nothing but Love, starring our fave Ashley Williams as be.
- 4:54Speaker 1: She and her husband Neil Dodson wrote the script. Jamm
- 4:57Speaker 1: Sharif is directing. I recognize that meme, but I can't
- 5:01Speaker 1: remember for me too. Let's see. First of all, I
- 5:04Speaker 1: love Ashley Williams. I'm very excited about this. I'm very
- 5:08Speaker 1: excited about this too, and I feel like we haven't
- 5:09Speaker 1: seen a project with her and her husband in a while.
- 5:11Speaker 1: I know Neil Dodson was attached to Love Classified. I
- 5:16Speaker 1: think Shamim Sharif directed six episodes of The Way Home. Yeah,
- 5:21Speaker 1: I was a director of this series, Finding Her Edge
- 5:24Speaker 1: Sullivan's crossing the TV series. You are we sure this
- 5:28Speaker 1: is not going to be a series, It's going to
- 5:30Speaker 1: be a film. I would say, I'm not sure this
- 5:34Speaker 1: is not going to be a series. Hm, Sleepy Kitty
- 5:37Speaker 1: Pod does say it's going to be a film. Okay,
- 5:39Speaker 1: Slippy Kitty Pop usually knows what's up. I really want
- 5:42Speaker 1: to know where they get all this information. That's what
- 5:45Speaker 1: I'm dying to know. Not officially destined for Hallmark yet,
- 5:49Speaker 1: but we do have a holiday movie titled Winter Wonder Lanes,
- 5:52Speaker 1: a Bowling Alley themed holiday movie. You got to Save
- 5:54Speaker 1: that family Bowling Alley and it is directed by Max Maguire,
- 5:58Speaker 1: who has done quite a bit of work with Hallmark,
- 6:02Speaker 1: so there is some speculation that it could go there.
- 6:05Speaker 2: It's been a minute since Max Maguire has done a
- 6:08Speaker 2: Hallmark movie.
- 6:09Speaker 1: Unwrapping Christmas was his last. He did two of the
- 6:13Speaker 1: Unwrapping Christmas, Oh romance with a twist Christmas by Design
- 6:18Speaker 1: Noel next Door. Yeah, that's it.
- 6:21Speaker 2: Christmas in Blue Dog Valley, adapted from the novel by
- 6:23Speaker 2: the same name from Annie England.
- 6:26Speaker 1: Is this confirmed? This is going to be a Hallmark
- 6:28Speaker 1: movie that's personally be Kitty Pod. Yes, Christmas and Blue
- 6:33Speaker 1: Dog Valley. Is it about dogs? It's about a bad dog,
- 6:37Speaker 1: a bad dog, you know, like a Marley kind of
- 6:39Speaker 1: bad dog, like a mischievous doll. Gosh, I can't do
- 6:45Speaker 1: like dog movies. Hallmark's not going to kill the dog.
- 6:47Speaker 1: You're right, you are correct.
- 6:51Speaker 2: This Christmas, everyone can have their own Tyler Hines on
- 6:55Speaker 2: their tree new Hallmark Keepsake ornament featuring mister Golden Delicious himself. Okay,
- 7:02Speaker 2: first of all, if it doesn't have an apple. It doesn't.
- 7:06Speaker 2: If it did, I would expect royalties. Hallmark doesn't have
- 7:10Speaker 2: a candy cane. If you click on the link, you
- 7:12Speaker 2: can see the image of it. He's wearing a white
- 7:15Speaker 2: henley and a leather jacket. He's got a candy cane
- 7:17Speaker 2: in his ear, and there are three little charms at
- 7:19Speaker 2: the top, a heart, a dog, and a boot.
- 7:22Speaker 1: Oh cute. It's very Tyler. Heinz coated. Indeed, you know
- 7:27Speaker 1: he loves his dog, Rusty. He's mister bootshot. And you know,
- 7:31Speaker 1: I feel like that heart is reminiscent of the bracelets
- 7:35Speaker 1: he sells, the ones that like connect together. I mean,
- 7:39Speaker 1: the likeness is pretty spot on in this image, I
- 7:43Speaker 1: gotta say. And his hair hair looks good, candy cane
- 7:47Speaker 1: in the ear. He is the second Hallmark star to
- 7:50Speaker 1: get their own ornament, of course, Lacey being the first.
- 7:53Speaker 1: Last last year, I bought one last year. Are you
- 7:55Speaker 1: gonna buy a Tyler?
- 7:57Speaker 2: I didn't buy it for myself. I bought it as
- 7:59Speaker 2: a gift for my brother, who's a big Lacy fan,
- 8:02Speaker 2: like back from her party five days Uh huh.
- 8:05Speaker 1: My mother in law, however, is a huge Tyler Heinz
- 8:08Speaker 1: fan for her. That's fun. That's a great gift, so too.
- 8:15Speaker 2: Yeah, it's pretty good, Pretty pretty good. I bet it's
- 8:18Speaker 2: going to be hard to get.
- 8:19Speaker 1: What do you think? Oh? Maybe maybe available In October,
- 8:25Speaker 1: the Kansas City Royals are teaming up with Hallmark. The
- 8:30Speaker 1: Royals are moving out of their stadium into a space
- 8:32Speaker 1: downtown at the Crown Center. If you attended the Hallmark
- 8:34Speaker 1: Christmas Experience, you are familiar with the Crown Center, as
- 8:36Speaker 1: that is where it was held. They're building an entirely
- 8:40Speaker 1: new mixed use development. The stadium will be the centerpiece.
- 8:44Speaker 1: The plan has not officially been finalized. They're hoping to
- 8:47Speaker 1: break ground next year. The stadium is estimated to cost
- 8:51Speaker 1: one point nine a billion dollars and I can't imagine
- 8:56Speaker 1: how long this will take to build. Three years, I
- 8:58Speaker 1: would guess. Yeah. I mean like Oakland in Las Vegas
- 9:02Speaker 1: is not even built in yet, right the Yes, the
- 9:07Speaker 1: A's Stadium in Las Vegas is an interim stadium. Yes, yeah,
- 9:11Speaker 1: So so where at Crown Center are they putting this
- 9:15Speaker 1: baseball stadium? Well, I think they've got to do some demolishing.
- 9:18Speaker 1: I would imagine like where we were at in the
- 9:21Speaker 1: that's Crown Center, so that space could use some revitalizing
- 9:27Speaker 1: and so having a stadium at the center of it,
- 9:29Speaker 1: and if we have restaurants and other attractions like they're
- 9:33Speaker 1: trying to build, you know, over next to our own
- 9:37Speaker 1: baseball and hockey stadiums in Anaheim. We have that mixed
- 9:41Speaker 1: use development there as well. Lost exciting for the people
- 9:46Speaker 1: of Kansas City. People of Kansas City, very exciting a
- 9:49Speaker 1: new stadium. Jonathan Bennett to General Hospital. Jonathan will join
- 9:57Speaker 1: in the role of Joe Fitzpatrick this May. This isn't
- 10:00Speaker 1: his first time on soaps. He was in All My
- 10:02Speaker 1: Children from two thousand and one to two thousand and two.
- 10:06Speaker 1: I feel like thrilled for Jonathan thrilled. I'm very happy
- 10:09Speaker 1: for him. But do you think this means like less
- 10:14Speaker 1: Hallmark for him? I mean, if he's going to be
- 10:16Speaker 1: a regular, that's a pretty pretty busy filming score.
- 10:19Speaker 2: Is it a we don't know if it's like a
- 10:21Speaker 2: limited stretch or an ongoing role. Where does General Hospital film?
- 10:29Speaker 2: Is it open La La or is it a New
- 10:31Speaker 2: York show?
- 10:33Speaker 1: I honestly don't know. I'm excited for him, but this
- 10:37Speaker 1: to me feels like the nail in the coffin for
- 10:39Speaker 1: finding mister Christmas. Oh yeah, I think that ship has skill.
- 10:43Speaker 1: They didn't film it in April, right, which is when
- 10:45Speaker 1: they usually film it. But I was I was secretly
- 10:47Speaker 1: holding out hope you could film a series in the
- 10:50Speaker 1: summer and have it come out in the winter. I
- 10:54Speaker 1: was holding out hope that we could still get a
- 10:56Speaker 1: season three, and we still could get a season three.
- 10:58Speaker 1: I just like we'll get it this year. I'm very
- 11:01Speaker 1: sad about that. I'm disappointed to you. I really really
- 11:05Speaker 1: enjoyed that show. Christopher Polaha chases a new project. If
- 11:11Speaker 1: you're watching Instagram, mister Pola has been dropping clues leading
- 11:16Speaker 1: people to believe he's filming a new project. One of
- 11:19Speaker 1: the captions reads, when movies become missions, where Hollywood becomes holy?
- 11:24Speaker 1: Just you wait. As of the recording of this episode,
- 11:29Speaker 1: he did post a new image since I made these notes.
- 11:34Speaker 1: It is mister Palaha standing in a village among a
- 11:38Speaker 1: large group of people. The caption is few jobs have
- 11:41Speaker 1: hit like this one. When movies become missions and Hollywood
- 11:44Speaker 1: becomes holy. The power of story is incredible and humbling
- 11:48Speaker 1: to see in action stories transform our lives. Honored to
- 11:51Speaker 1: be a part of this one. A number of people.
- 11:54Speaker 1: He did not tag the location, but in the comments
- 11:56Speaker 1: a number of people have said, Hey, O, it's the
- 11:59Speaker 1: Dominican public. This does not give me Hallmark project vibes.
- 12:04Speaker 1: But we know that he does a lot outside of Hallmark,
- 12:08Speaker 1: so I don't know what he's doing here. Hmm. There
- 12:12Speaker 1: are now four photos in his Instagram feed teasing what
- 12:18Speaker 1: he's working on. If you want to take a look
- 12:19Speaker 1: over at pol Ajaja. I wonder if he'd tell us
- 12:23Speaker 1: if we reach out to him in a DMM, say hey,
- 12:26Speaker 1: what are you working on? This is intriguing, can't be
- 12:29Speaker 1: hundred in a way. It sounds faith based. Yeah, it
- 12:33Speaker 1: sounds faith based. Don't know though. We shall see, We
- 12:39Speaker 1: shall see.
- 12:42Speaker 2: Tyler Hein teases the future of the three Wiseman trio.
- 12:47Speaker 1: Quote. We're going to find.
- 12:49Speaker 2: Ways to play around in the sand, he says in
- 12:52Speaker 2: an interview with US Weekly, not saying there are more
- 12:55Speaker 2: Wiseman movies coming, but that they'll find a way to
- 12:58Speaker 2: work together again.
- 13:01Speaker 1: What are your thoughts the fans love that trio. I
- 13:07Speaker 1: love all of those guys. Was not the biggest fan
- 13:11Speaker 1: of the first movie. I thought was fun I was
- 13:16Speaker 1: not the biggest fan of the franchise. I don't think
- 13:17Speaker 1: it was the best use of the three of them,
- 13:19Speaker 1: but I think it is fun when we see these
- 13:21Speaker 1: people get together. So I'm open to them working together
- 13:24Speaker 1: in another way, in a different way. Yeah, there's no genial.
- 13:27Speaker 1: They have great working chemistry together. They're easy to watch
- 13:31Speaker 1: on screen.
- 13:31Speaker 2: Give us a different project outside of Three Wise Men, Yeah,
- 13:34Speaker 2: I'd watch the three of them in a completely different story. Sure,
- 13:37Speaker 2: put them in a series, Oh my god, I would
- 13:40Speaker 2: love that, right, love that.
- 13:42Speaker 1: Yeah, And I'm I am glad. You know, a lot
- 13:44Speaker 1: of people are like, give us more Three Wise Men.
- 13:47Speaker 1: I don't think we need it, and I like these guys. Yeah.
- 13:51Speaker 1: Hallmark Stars are hitting the road for a summer live event.
- 13:55Speaker 1: Homemark has announced ninety minute shows, two weeks of shows.
- 14:01Speaker 1: The footage that they're using to promote these is from
- 14:04Speaker 1: the Hallmark Christmas Experience in Kansas City, So while they
- 14:07Speaker 1: have not fully laid out a format, it does seem
- 14:10Speaker 1: like they're going to have the same vibe. I clicked
- 14:13Speaker 1: on the tickets for a few of the events, I
- 14:15Speaker 1: did not click on every single location, and they were
- 14:18Speaker 1: still available in the locations that I clicked on. Week one,
- 14:22Speaker 1: which is July twenty second through twenty sixth, features Niggi
- 14:26Speaker 1: Deloche as the host, Andrew Walker, Ashley Williams, Jonathan Bennett,
- 14:31Speaker 1: and Tamaramo re Housley. Now, it does say that the
- 14:35Speaker 1: stars may vary by date. Week two July twenty ninth
- 14:41Speaker 1: through August second Niggi Deloche, Andrew Walker, Ashley Williams, Kimberly
- 14:45Speaker 1: Sustad and Paul Campbell. It does say stars may vary,
- 14:49Speaker 1: so within each week there are multiple shows. So there's
- 14:54Speaker 1: five shows the first week July twenty second through twenty
- 14:57Speaker 1: six five shows the second week July twenty ninth through
- 14:59Speaker 1: August second. So it is possible that you might not
- 15:03Speaker 1: have the exact same people July twenty nineth through thirtieth.
- 15:05Speaker 1: They're just hedging their bets. Things happen, people have conflicts
- 15:11Speaker 1: within the tickets. There are upgrades for merch and early
- 15:16Speaker 1: entry and in a group photo op as well as
- 15:19Speaker 1: priority merchandise shopping. What are some examples cities that they're
- 15:23Speaker 1: stopping in Week one is Carter at New Jersey, Wombstock
- 15:27Speaker 1: at Rhode Island, New Haven, Connecticut, Albany, New York and Morristown,
- 15:30Speaker 1: New Jersey, oh Real, East Coast heavy Okay, yes, and
- 15:34Speaker 1: week two reading Pennsylvania, Northfield, Ohio, Detroit, Michigan, Waukegan, Illinois,
- 15:39Speaker 1: and Omaha, Nebraska.
- 15:40Speaker 2: They need two more weeks to hit kind of like
- 15:43Speaker 2: the other United States regions.
- 15:46Speaker 1: I'm a little worried about what about this event? Tell
- 15:51Speaker 1: me more, Well, there are many tickets still available. Oh, like,
- 15:59Speaker 1: I just clicked on Own, which is the final date. Okay,
- 16:02Speaker 1: this is good news. In Omaha, there are no tickets
- 16:05Speaker 1: in the balcony, no tickets in the loge, in the orchestra. Now,
- 16:09Speaker 1: is it possible they didn't They didn't sell the top
- 16:11Speaker 1: two levels in the orchestra. There are a lot of
- 16:14Speaker 1: tickets available, and they range from Every location has a
- 16:19Speaker 1: slightly different price range. They all range within like the
- 16:22Speaker 1: sixty to two hundred dollars range, depending on where you're sitting.
- 16:26Speaker 1: But there are still a number of tickets available for
- 16:29Speaker 1: every date that I have clicked on. I hope they
- 16:32Speaker 1: didn't fly too close to the sun with this one.
- 16:34Speaker 1: It's a fun idea. I'm here's what I'm happy about.
- 16:37Speaker 1: I'm happy that it's in the summer and that it's
- 16:39Speaker 1: not during the holidays. I would have wished that we
- 16:45Speaker 1: could have done like a Christmas Con style event in
- 16:48Speaker 1: the summer. I think that would have been a West
- 16:51Speaker 1: Coast style event in the summer. They did Christmas Con
- 16:56Speaker 1: in Pasadena one year, and I wonder if it was
- 17:00Speaker 1: well attended. My undertaining is that the reason they're sticking
- 17:03Speaker 1: to New Jersey is that's where the organizers are from
- 17:06Speaker 1: and it's easier. I could be wrong, but I don't know.
- 17:10Speaker 1: Maybe I just made that up. I'd love to know
- 17:13Speaker 1: how the West Coast Christmas Con was because it was
- 17:15Speaker 1: in the summer as well. I would have loved to see.
- 17:19Speaker 1: I'm come to the West Coast. Please come to Anaheim.
- 17:23Speaker 2: There's so many things for families to do. And I
- 17:26Speaker 2: come to San Diego. Pasadena is a weird location. I know,
- 17:31Speaker 2: Pasadena is kind of it's perfectly nice, but there's not
- 17:34Speaker 2: a whole lot going around, right, That's why I'm like,
- 17:36Speaker 2: come to Anaheim where like family goers can do other things. Sure,
- 17:41Speaker 2: especially in the summer, especially in the close.
- 17:44Speaker 1: Enough to the beach. Yes, right, yes you have Disney
- 17:47Speaker 1: and yes, and it's close to us. It's close to us.
- 17:52Speaker 1: I was just looking truly. I was like, is there
- 17:55Speaker 1: a cruise this year? There is? It is sold out?
- 17:57Speaker 1: Oh it is finally it wasn't originally says like this
- 18:00Speaker 1: ship is full, it's in October and did year yeah fomo, yeah,
- 18:06Speaker 1: kind I kind of want to go back. This year's
- 18:07Speaker 1: too hard. But twenty twenty seven question mark, sure, sure
- 18:13Speaker 1: you want to go back? Kind of? I had fun.
- 18:17Speaker 1: You know, we could go on a cruise. It's not
- 18:18Speaker 1: for homework too, I know, but like I feel like
- 18:21Speaker 1: it's kind of like our people. You know who dgaf
- 18:25Speaker 1: about ggh who. Every single attendee of the oh yeah,
- 18:29Speaker 1: the original Christmas cruse. They don't care that we have
- 18:32Speaker 1: a podcast about homework. Are you Tyler Hines, get out
- 18:34Speaker 1: of my way? Yeah that's fair. I just felt like
- 18:37Speaker 1: our Oh my gosh. Remember I tried to talk to
- 18:39Speaker 1: like the people sitting next to us the first night
- 18:42Speaker 1: at dinner and the nope. I mean everybody was tired, guys,
