- 1:48make sure you can hear this, right? Let's go to the first caller.
- 1:52Let's do this. This is Caroline. Here we go. This is
- 1:57a bit of roulette because sometimes you don't know if they're going to answer. Caroline
- 2:12Lloyd, you got my Australian mobile, excellent.
- 2:16Yes, you're on the world hotline and I've got your Australian mobile
- 2:24Yes. I wouldn't be doing a very good job. No,
- 2:28that's okay. I think you're doing a wonderful job of being easy to contact, so thank you.
- 2:31This is a fabulous opportunity,
- 2:35so I really appreciate it. The last time you put it out there, I
- 2:39was just reluctant only because I thought there might be other
- 2:42people more deserving or whatever, but this time having seen what you
- 2:48There you go. I love it. Thank you for throwing your hat. I'm excited for you to throw your hat.
- 2:56I'm trying to work out where I'm at regarding what to do with my
- 3:00cash. I have a fear about putting all of this cash into investments
- 3:05given that I have still property, which
- 3:09is mortgage. So I'm looking, you
- 3:12did ask me when we last interacted and
- 3:15I've been in Newcastle, I'm in Newcastle, I'm sorting out
- 3:24What is your underlying like core question that
- 3:27you need answered? Like what is on your mind? What
- 3:34I think it's validating, I've sort of worked out one
- 3:37approach, it may not be the only one, but I've worked out
- 3:40one approach with my cash. Because
- 3:44it's not a case of I can't hold on to cash. I'm worried about
- 3:48putting it in stocks and shares, not going up for
- 3:52Got it. Okay, so you're wanting to know how to deploy your cash
- 3:56to grow your wealth, yes? Yes. Okay,
- 4:00Some of that will be potentially buying my mother's apartment,
- 4:06Sure. We have all these options. So
- 4:09we have on the options for cash, we have do nothing and leave it in
- 4:12an account. We have put into a term deposit and get some returns.
- 4:17We have pay off debt. We have keep
- 4:20properties and pay off debt. We have perhaps investing in some other assets
- 4:28So my question to you is, irrespective of the size of the cash, What
- 4:34is your overall objective? What do you want to achieve financially?
- 4:41Well, it rolls into one, but it's in
- 4:45two parts. I'm in a situation now
- 4:49where if I use my money sensibly, I
- 4:52can be reasonably comfortable, but that
- 4:56intention is I'm not at the moment rich
- 5:00enough to be able to do whatever I want. But the nice
- 5:04thing about being reasonably comfortable is I can now create
- 5:07another business and involve other people
- 5:12without having so much concern about my security,
- 5:29It's working out the
- 5:33method for paying down some of these mortgages.
- 5:37I've taken on board your comment about potentially
- 5:45Okay, so let's look at it like this. You've got, how
- 5:51At the moment, there may be some calls on it, but in the UK
- 5:57Pounds. Okay. Roughly,
- 6:09Okay. So let's say there's say 200K Aussie and there's about, so
- 6:13you probably got around 800K total or 700K Aussie. Yeah.
- 6:17Okay. So how much debt do you have in total off
- 6:25My UK properties, it's 500 and
- 6:30just looking at
- 6:41Okay, so let me ask this question. How many properties do you
- 6:54Sure, so you got five total yeah five
- 6:58total Okay total
- 7:03properties how many total properties do you own and how
- 7:08Okay The
- 7:14Perfect. Wonderful. Excellent. So let me
- 7:18ask this question. What is preventing you from just paying
- 7:21off all the debt of those properties and having them all debt free and
- 7:33trying to work out what the best way of using
- 7:38Well, that's what I'm, what I'm suggesting. So my question to
- 7:41you is though, if you've already got the properties that
- 7:45already producing income, you've already transacted them. What's
- 7:49preventing you just paying off the entire balance of the debt and have
- 7:52them all debt free or producing passive income to you. So
- 8:01Uh, Because I'm looking
- 8:04at buying my sister's half of my mother's apartment. So
- 8:12Well, I'm getting valuations at the moment, but I guess is
- 8:15I may have to pay her eight or
- 8:22So is your objective to just accumulate properties
- 8:30The latter. I'm trying to put in
- 8:33some backup plans because things are not good
- 8:37Sure. Okay. So you want to diversify your real estate holdings
- 8:44So what would prevent you from selling one of your properties over there
- 8:48and adding it to your cash and buying the
- 8:54Well, that's what I'm looking at at the moment, as well as paying down
- 9:01What's interesting, Caroline, about your situation with six properties with
- 9:05only 550 odd thousand pounds of debt on it
- 9:09with all your cash too, is that you
- 9:13have the ability now to
- 9:17have probably four
- 9:21of them. fully paid off and unencumbered if
- 9:24you include the Australian one. So you can potentially sell two
- 9:27in UK and use the cash
- 9:31to buy the one here in Australia and you'd have to pay off the debts. But you
- 9:34have the opportunity now with your cash and your equity
- 9:38in your portfolio to actually own probably four of
- 9:43them outright. And so you're actually
- 9:47like a breath away from financial freedom. Like
- 9:50you're one decision away. And I think what happens
- 9:53to people is they get confused thinking they always have to invest in some other
- 9:57asset class. Like, I have to invest in shares. I have to know everything about everything.
- 10:00I have to invest in gold. I have to invest in... You don't have to do everything
- 10:03and anything. You could just... Like, real estate's a very solid asset,
- 10:08particularly if you're looking at real estate in major Western
- 10:12countries, right? So there's probably nothing
- 10:15stopping you from having financial freedom and independence with just a
- 10:19paid-off property portfolio. Like,
- 10:27I'm not arguing with you. It's
- 10:30just because I've spent a lot of my life having
- 10:36And at times you don't have someone to bounce ideas
- 10:41Therefore, having a backup, I
- 10:45can see that since two of my, or all
- 10:49my rental properties I hold in a limited company,
- 10:53they were bought with a director's loan so that all
- 10:56the income can for 10 or 20 years
- 11:04So the only other thing I was going to
- 11:07say is one of the benefits I've had from doing your course, apart
- 11:11from looking at things with a different hat, is because
- 11:14the properties are owned by a company, I can own
- 11:18them up until I think I'm 80. I've got another 10 years
- 11:21before I'm forced to pay off mortgages. So
- 11:25I realized that I could, for example, for one of
- 11:28them, pay down 70. So
- 11:32I'd have the current repayment would be interest
- 11:37Yeah, but I think you're complicating it. I
- 11:41think you're complicating it. Like if the roles were reversed, I
- 11:45would, apart
- 11:50from this one you want to buy, you're just in a position where you can be debt
- 11:53free off on six properties. Like it's
- 11:56one decision away. So
- 12:04I think it's like, that's why I asked at the very outset of the call, what's the objective?
- 12:08And a lot of people can get carried away with objectively just building empires
- 12:11for the sake of empire building without a real clear understanding of
- 12:15what they're trying to actually achieve with their life. So that's why, that's
- 12:18why the question is what kind of life do you want to live? Not how many properties do you
- 12:21want? So it would be what if with one
- 12:24fell swoop, you could pay off pretty much all the debt of all
- 12:28the properties, perhaps tuck away a bit of extra cash for, for
- 12:31emergencies, et cetera. But all the income from those properties with
- 12:34no debt on them will provide you enough passive income to literally live a life
- 12:38of Riley around the world now. Today?
- 12:43I'm not taking that on board yet. It's the latter bit. Is
- 12:48Well, if you had your home paid off and
- 12:52you had five properties debt-free producing income, how
- 12:58Well, that's what I'm just sort of net. I'm sort of working
- 13:05I haven't done it for the paid off. At
- 13:08the moment, let me just look at the table
- 13:15Here's what I would suggest to you. Here's what I would suggest. I
- 13:18would suggest looking at how much passive net
- 13:23income, so net income means after costs of running the property, so
- 13:26the operating costs, how much net income after
- 13:31tax goes into your pocket on a
- 13:34weekly or monthly or annual basis without
- 13:38any debt on those properties? And if the
- 13:41answer is, well, actually, that's pretty much like a full-time salary, you're
- 13:46literally living like the 1% of the 1% of the 1% of the world. and
- 13:51you can then start to really decide on how do you want to actually live your life. Now,
- 13:54that doesn't mean you have to stop working either, by the way. You can do both. You
- 13:58could have passive income coming in plus keep working, but you have
- 14:01a choice then to really work on what you want to work on. And
- 14:05I just, I don't think you need to complicate it
- 14:08that much because you've done all the hard work already. Like
- 14:13to have a home paid off and potentially in a
- 14:16breath have five other property investments paid off producing passive income.
- 14:20You're in a seat that you're the envy of the world and
- 14:24your mindset might be stopping you from just making that decision because perhaps you're
- 14:32I hear you. I'm not going to throw anything back. I'm listening to you.
- 14:35This is why I don't do it. Sure. Yeah.
- 14:38This is why you called in. No, no, totally. Because
- 14:42people sometimes call into me or talk to me and say, oh, Lloyd doesn't like property. Of
- 14:47course, property is an effective asset. It produces cashflow, grows
- 14:51in value of time. I just don't like overpriced property. Like
- 14:54anyone and I also don't like big mortgage debt and like I don't I
- 14:57like optionality So I just think about your situation think
- 15:01god, you've got all these properties. You've paid the transaction costs already. They're
- 15:04already in place They're already producing income. You've got this
- 15:07cash. I mean you eliminate the debt You've got no debt
- 15:11on a fully risk for like, you know, there's no debt risk no financial risk
- 15:15and then you've just got You're passive income tricking and
- 15:18you've got multiple doors. So you've got multiple properties. So
- 15:22it fortifies the income, it's diversified across multiple properties. You
- 15:25don't have any home mortgage debt and you're at an age where you can keep working and have
- 15:28both. And I really do think that your decision to
- 15:32where to deploy the cash, it doesn't have to be complex. right?
- 15:35It's just where's the most, where's probably the most obvious place
- 15:39to deploy it to get the life you want. And if, if I know where
- 15:42that is, and if I were your, your age and where you're
- 15:45at with everything, I think you're just so close to having financial freedom. So I
- 15:49would say to you this, to finish the call, look at the amount
- 15:52of income you can make with debt free properties. And
- 15:58Make the decision of where to deploy the cash based on what is the safest, fastest,
- 16:02most effective route to getting passive income for the rest of your life. And
- 16:06take the path you understand. You don't have to play in games you don't understand just
- 16:10because. And
- 16:13if the income is not enough, then keep working until it is enough. But
- 16:17I would argue that
- 16:20if you can't live a nice life on no
- 16:24mortgage debt and five paid off property investments, then
- 16:30perhaps you just need to bring your lifestyle. Yeah, it'll be a lot. And I think you're
- 16:34there. So I would say to you, go check out the numbers. And
- 16:38then when you get to the number, shoot me a DM on Instagram, whatever it is, and just
- 16:50Okay. Home mortgage, 1.97% interest. So
- 16:55really to pay that off when I've got another two years at that rate.
- 17:00Secondly, what I learnt from you is I could pay 18 down on
- 17:03a property and invest 40. And in 10 years, when I
- 17:07have to redeem the mortgage, I can come out with 8% interest
- 17:11at 102,000. So, you know, I can
- 17:14pay less down if I use some of the investment strategy, as
- 17:18long as it works. That's why I'm being careful and trying to
- 17:25Well, it just means you've got to learn a whole new landscape. That's
- 17:30all it's all. And, and, and what's very tricky at
- 17:33the moment is how do you deploy large amounts of cash into any market?
- 17:38See, when you, when you pay off debt with cash, it's
- 17:41an guaranteed riskless investment. Because
- 17:47paying off debt, your return on investment is the debt. You
- 17:51don't have to pay the cost of the debt, right? So it's an absolute guaranteed return
- 17:54when you pay off debt. Whereas when you're going into, say, the markets, you've
- 17:57got to remember that it's a very richly valued market. And
- 18:01it's tricky to deploy half a million pounds, whatever it is, into that. Because
- 18:05what if the market goes sideways for 10 years, collapses? The
- 18:09best way to invest in alternative assets or even
- 18:12stocks, if you've got lump sums, is to actually dollar cost average
- 18:20You could. I
- 18:25don't know if you have to because the entire objective
- 18:29of investing is to get enough passive income to just not work again, as
- 18:32far as I'm concerned. So you're just so close to that. Now,
- 18:36if you happen to, for example, have 1.95% of
- 18:40your mortgage, you don't want to put your money there because it's not a high return on investment of
- 18:43the debt. Perhaps even a high interest account
- 18:47of some sort would be better at 5% because it's better than a mortgage of 1.9%. So
- 18:51just something that's that it doesn't have to be
- 18:54risky, but something that's going to compound more than 1.9% would
- 18:59be fairly appropriate. But once that term expires
- 19:03and the interest rates trigger back up, you will want to pay the
- 19:06debt off because the interest rate will be higher. So I think just optionality
- 19:15Got it? So I can't say to you, Caroline, go
- 19:18and put your money in this stock or that if I can't give you the financial advice. But
- 19:21what I can say is, I don't
- 19:25think it has to be risk assets. I don't think it has to be complex. I don't think it has
- 19:28to be anything but probably pay off the high interest debt
- 19:31as soon as possible and
- 19:36sit on the cash in a high interest term sort of account for a while until the other mortgage
- 19:40kicks up a gear and then pay it off. Or you could just pay it all off
- 19:43now and just get it over with and live your life. You
- 19:47know, I just think it's that close. So here's my suggestion. One,
- 19:51figure out the amount per year coming in from the debt-free properties. Okay.
- 19:55And then once you do it, send it to me on Instagram. I want to see what it is. Okay.
- 19:59That's your task. Cool. All right. No worries.
- 20:12There you go. Interesting, isn't it? Keep
- 20:18things simple. Simple scales, complex fails. You
- 20:21don't always have to... God, financial independence is so close to
- 20:24so many people. It's just like that. Let's just do the step and get the freedom today. Let's
- 20:28just do it now. It's almost like people are afraid of
- 20:32that sometimes, which is normal, because it's like, oh my God, I actually have the
- 20:35thing I really wanted all this time, freedom. Oh my God, I'm scared now. What do we
- 20:38do? Because it's a very unknown area, right? So, I mean, so
- 20:41cool to see Carolyn. She's so close to freedom. She's there already. I mean, it's pretty simple
- 20:45stuff. But hey, paying off debt at a time when
- 20:49debt is quite getting more expensive as well, in
- 20:52many cases from what it was, it's a pretty good return, right?
- 20:56Like, last time I checked, you can't go broke with no debt. Okay,
- 21:00let's do another one. Let's go Kirstie now. We'll give her a call here. See
- 21:04if I can copy.
- 21:10So these will typically go for 10 minutes. That one was a bit longer. That
- 21:13was a bit more protracted, but let's go for Kirstie here. Let's
- 21:18see if she answers. Just quickly, if you're ready to take control of your
- 21:21finances but feel stuck on where to start, I have a solution. My
- 21:25book, Money Buys Happiness, simplifies investing and
- 21:28wealth building with practical steps to help you achieve financial peace.
- 21:33Get your copy via the link in the show notes and let's get your money working for
- 21:36you. Now back to the episode. Here we go. I wonder
- 21:40what the question's gonna be here. Kirstie
- 21:56I'm trying to do quiet naptime sort
- 22:07Oh no. Wonderful. Excellent. Put
- 22:14Marvelous. So we're on the Wealth Hotline and so
- 22:23On my mind was how to bring
- 22:29value, I guess, as like, I'm
- 22:32not exactly a fresh startup, but I do pet for keepsakes. And
- 22:36I'm like, how do I bring that as a value perspective to someone
- 22:40like yourself or a person of influence to get the word out there about the
- 22:46Yeah, as in like family pet
- 22:49passes and they keep a bit of fur and I can set them
- 22:58So when the pet passes away, you give keepsakes. Okay, that's
- 23:03Excellent. So the question is how do you build a brand around it
- 23:11What I would really like to do is to reach out to people to obviously
- 23:16build endorsement and awareness about the brand. At
- 23:19the moment, locally is
- 23:22where I've started with it, is to go and approach vet clinics to
- 23:26then get referrals for their clients. I'm like, okay, I need to
- 23:29think bigger than that and more outside of the box than that. How
- 23:34can I approach famous
- 23:38people, for want of a better word? Yeah,
- 23:42to sort of build my brand awareness but also to give back to them because
- 23:45I donít want to just go, ìOh look, this is a cool thing. Would
- 23:53So how many do you sell products? Do you sell a specific amount
- 23:58Theyíre very sporadic. Some months could
- 24:09Ideal customer is probably dog owners or
- 24:12horse owners. Horse owners are helpful because they're
- 24:16large animals and they're very hard to, you know, cremate.
- 24:23Okay, cool. So they're the specific animals that
- 24:26people become attached to the most, like a family member? Okay,
- 24:30cool. So how do you get your keepsakes in front
- 24:33of more people? So I think it's a matter of, you're
- 24:36already kind of doing it with the vets, but a couple of things I would
- 24:40do. Firstly, I would be
- 24:45blogging and posting on Instagram every single day. You're
- 24:57Okay. So I'd be doing, I'd be aiming for at least two posts a
- 25:00day. Yep. And what I would be doing too is I
- 25:04would be, I'd be learning the
- 25:07ins and outs of Instagram and I
- 25:11would be, uh, I'd be doing a
- 25:15different variety of content, but more often than not, it's just
- 25:18documenting your journey with your business. Okay. So don't
- 25:22have to overthink it. You don't have to be super creative, but the most important
- 25:25thing is people know you exist because you can't sell a secret. And
- 25:29so the idea of the Instagram would be over time you
- 25:33would want to be doing like collaborative, like
- 25:38shareable content with the vets via their own Instagram account so
- 25:42that it's going to their audience. So if I think about
- 25:45all the partnerships you want to create, you'd want to create partnerships with
- 25:50people like pet angels who come and collect your pet when it passes away.
- 25:54And pet angels have their own keepsakes, but at the same time, you could definitely partner
- 25:58with them for things they don't provide. And, and
- 26:02there's more than just pet angels that would do that service. So it's those
- 26:05services, it's definitely vets, but you could specifically
- 26:09partner with the type of vet that has a large Instagram following and
- 26:13database. And what you'd want to do is you'd want to incentivize them.
- 26:18So you either pay for placement or you give them certain things
- 26:21for their audience that they value. So you don't, so, so you actually like
- 26:27Right. I thought it was hitting a bit of a wall. I'm
- 26:30like, I don't want to just cold message without a
- 26:35Obviously, it's got a purpose for me, but for someone else, what are they getting
- 26:39out of it? Yeah, so you can cold message and how you would do it
- 26:42would be, you would start with $200 per referral
- 26:47in the top message in a DM. So they know
- 26:50they're going to get paid for whatever it is they're about to look at and read. And
- 26:54you can literally just start the sentence with that. And then you could, you
- 26:57could just DM them and say, Hey, this is, I have keepsakes. I'm looking to collaborate. I'm
- 27:01open to paying for collaboration and shout outs and, and,
- 27:04and cross-pollination of audiences. Is this something you're open to? Would
- 27:08you be open to, I do this. I'm looking to build my business. I
- 27:12want to work with local vets. You caught my attention because of these reasons. Would
- 27:15you be open to a collaboration? That's a win-win outcome. Because
- 27:20people aren't going to be closed off to a win-win outcome. They're going to be open to it,
- 27:24right? No one's going to say, no, I'm not interested in a win-win outcome. But when
- 27:27it comes to yet, when they say, yeah, I'm open, you have to definitely have
- 27:31something that's of value to them. Because what's of value to you
- 27:34is their audience. And so what they'll be saying is
- 27:37what's in it for me, right? And the fastest
- 27:41way to get what's in it for them is to give them money. That's
- 27:45the five, like, I'll just give you money. Right. So you got to, you could start there.
- 27:49And as you start to evolve this and have more conversations, um,
- 27:53you may want to actually then decide, well, actually I've got this in it for you.
- 27:56So there'll be other things you can provide that that might not be
- 28:00money, but at the outset, it's going to be money and
- 28:03what you'd want. Yeah,
- 28:06totally. And so you can literally DM every
- 28:10vet that's in Australia on Instagram.
- 28:15And DM them on LinkedIn too. I don't know if Vets might
- 28:18be on LinkedIn as well. But they're definitely going to have Instagram accounts for their own business. They're
- 28:22probably maybe going to have Facebook account, but Instagram is easier to get in touch with them.
- 28:26And possibly LinkedIn, right? And
- 28:37But you don't have to be there and physical in person to give you
- 28:55Fine. So it can be everywhere because a Zoom call
- 28:58is as good as a meeting. But referral partnerships is
- 29:02one form of marketing. What you want to look at from your Instagram is
- 29:05you want to probably find a couple of reels that work well. So
- 29:11when you're putting content out, watch for the content that really hits
- 29:14home to get a lot of followers. And those
- 29:18that work well, all you would probably want to do in the first instance
- 29:21is start paying and hit the blue button that says boost and boost for followers
- 29:25for that particular reel that you did. And as people are
- 29:28coming in and following you, you want to hit the follow back button and then you
- 29:31want to actually have a conversation with them in the DMs. Got
- 29:36it? So yeah. So, and one of the things you
- 29:39can do is like, you can also follow the pet
- 29:44accessory pages. because all your perfect
- 29:52Potentially pet food, depending on what kind of pet food it is. Dogs obviously
- 29:55is one that you want to go for. And if you just went and
- 30:05And so you can actually like, you can start
- 30:08to DM and follow some of those key customers, particularly ones that have,
- 30:12you know, a few hundred friends on their Instagram. And you can start to
- 30:15have conversations with your customer. Right. And
- 30:19they'll find your page and so forth. Now, when their dog passes, they might see
- 30:22you, but what will happen is you'll start to attract that followership to
- 30:26your Instagram account. And then as you start to
- 30:30boost more of your stuff and advertise your product range, you
- 30:34can very much like you can select your audience. And
- 30:37what you will want to do is have a specific reel for
- 30:41one product that is your best selling product and have a
- 30:44link for them to actually go and buy it. So
- 30:48you could do a reel that's selling your best keepsake and
- 30:53have an ad that's crafted to hit an audience where they've just lost a
- 30:56dog. And you can literally pop
- 31:00up in front of their feed with that ad and either have it
- 31:03click a link to go buy your thing or click follow to follow
- 31:06here. And you can have a conversation in the DMs. But paid ad
- 31:10strategies to a specific audience targeted
- 31:13for a specific time for a specific thing. is
- 31:17the power of paid traffic, and you need to harness it. But at the same
- 31:20time, you're building your Instagram account organically, you're looking at
- 31:23what works, you're testing different content, and then
- 31:26one that hits, do an ad around it, pay the money to target your
- 31:30audience, get them to come in, buy your keepsakes. And that's probably
- 31:33the fastest way to build customer acquisition. Meanwhile,
- 31:43Yeah. I guess
- 31:47I targeted that mostly because they would be
- 31:53They're referral partners. So they will send
- 31:57you consistent, hopefully over time, consistent customers. But
- 32:01you can also target people who literally have just lost their pet today in
- 32:07You just put an Instagram ad together. If
- 32:10you go to Udemy, have you heard of Udemy? Udemy, U-D-E-M-Y.
- 32:16Go in there, get a course for cheap on how to craft
- 32:20an Instagram ad. Watch it, then
- 32:24go craft an Instagram ad to your perfect audience, to
- 32:27your best keepsake and see if you can make a sale. Yeah.
- 32:31Right. Beyond that, there's things about you can do with your landing page, where
- 32:34they're going, et cetera, et cetera. There's more to it than just that. But
- 32:37with, try just with Udemy, craft the ad on your Instagram and
- 32:46But there's lots to it, right? There's branding over time, content you've got to put
- 32:49out each day, do your referral partnerships with your vet, but at the same time,
- 32:53do a small paid strategy. But the most important
- 32:56thing is that you have to understand that this is going
- 33:05That's just how it is. Got
- 33:09Totally. Yeah, absolutely. So go do that. Yeah,
- 33:14absolutely. Just stay with it. Go and keep testing these things. Also,
- 33:19last bit, find an account that's already marketing keepsakes
- 33:22like yours, perhaps in a different country like the United States, and
- 33:26model exactly what they're doing. Clone
- 33:30them. How they
- 33:33post, you post. Model their ads. Model their organic
- 33:37feeds. Ask them questions. Model their whole setup. Model
- 33:41their landing page. Funnel hack them. Instagram hack them.
- 33:45Literally just model them as close as you can. That's probably one of the best things you can
- 33:55Bloody marvelous. Thank you for calling to the Wealth Hotline. It's been awesome chatting with
- 33:58you, Kirstie, and good luck, and you're going to smash it. Thanks so much, Lloyd.
- 34:05Bye-bye. There you go. Pretty
- 34:08tricky one, that one, because there's so much to Building
- 34:13a business. But you can't sell a secret. So I
- 34:16think a lot of people don't realize you've got to document what you're doing on
- 34:20social media. It's the biggest notice board in the world. And you can't
- 34:23sell a secret. You've got to be on there. You've got to be documenting, paid traffic, referral
- 34:26partners, bit by bit, each day, each day, each day. Yeah,
- 34:31what are the comments? We've got comments. Come on. Come on the comments. Here
- 34:34we go. G'day. How are you going? Get
- 34:38a bloke up your mouth. We run a
- 34:41home dog room biz. Both of us work full time. Cool revenues. Wow. Wow.
- 34:45That's so good. Revenue five to six K a week. Current
- 34:49expense is $300 a week. That is so good. Looking at a
- 34:52shop, $800 a week rent. How
- 34:55do we judge if this movie is financially viable and sustainable? That's a really good
- 34:59question. Get a bloke up
- 35:02here. Home, dog grooming, biz, both
- 35:06work full-time. I'm assuming you're working full-time
- 35:09on the business. So you're making five
- 35:13to six grand a week on $300 a week. So my question is
- 35:17why, why, why do you need a shop? And if
- 35:20the answer to that question is because we want to separate our business from our
- 35:23home, we feel like we can charge more if we have a place, we can find
- 35:29efficiencies by having a workplace, etc. If
- 35:32that's the case, then you've got to understand, is
- 35:36the 800 a week, is the juice worth the squeeze? And does the 800 a
- 35:39week eliminate the 300 a week, or is it 800 plus 300, so it's 1100? Looking
- 35:43at the margins of the business, the business can easily – I don't understand
- 35:47the other cost but it looks like it's only 300 bucks. So you're probably netting 5 grand
- 35:51a week. You can easily afford a shop
- 35:54for 800 a week. You can. But you've got to make sure what's the objective.
- 35:58Is it just so you can say you've got a place of residence or is it actually going to create efficiencies
- 36:02that are worth more than 800 a week? So if you can earn more
- 36:06than 800 a week, you can either put your prices up, you can build efficiencies, you
- 36:09can leverage more, you can build better, like whatever
- 36:13it is, it's got to be worth more than 800 a week. Otherwise,
- 36:17stay where you are, right? So judge it
- 36:20like that. Would the juice be worth the squeeze? But from all
- 36:23accounts of what you give me here in the comments, the
- 36:28business can handle it. Does that make sense? And it's
- 36:31also tax deduction. Anyway, that's a cool question. You can't
- 36:35sell the secrets of teaming, create partnerships. This must be Alicia. This
- 36:38is my amazing wife. This is why you got to marry well. That's the best advice I
- 36:41can give you on money. Marry well. Think about it for them. She's on there. All
- 36:45right, that's it. Cool. That was a fun one. We got a little time left
- 36:48here. We got time for one more, huh? Two
- 36:52more. Okay, let's go. What do we got? Next person. That
- 36:55was a fun one with Kirstie. Go, Kirstie. That's awesome. Okay, let's call Mark here.
- 36:59Your call has been forwarded to voicemail. The person you're trying to
- 37:02reach is not available. Same. At the tone, please record your
- 37:09Joseph, Lloyd, you're on the Wealth Hotline, my friend. Anyway,
- 37:13we've phoned you. You may have been held up. So just
- 37:16leaving you a voice message to say, hey, perhaps next month, if you're free, we can jump on again.
- 37:20But shoot me a text back when you get this, and I'll talk to you soon. Bye. That'll
- 37:23be it today for our Wealth Hotline. We've done three good questions
- 37:27there. The other two guys, they're incapacitated at
- 37:30this present time. So that's what happens if you do it at lunchtime. Everyone's at work,
- 37:34right? So anyway, look, here's what we do. With the
- 37:37new Wealth Hotline, this is how it works. Every month, I
- 37:43send out a little invitation to our Telegram channel. That's LloydsTelegram.com. Also,
- 37:48if you follow me on Instagram, there's an Instagram broadcast channel there you can follow.
- 37:51I put it in there as well. And then potentially to specific people
- 37:55back on our database and in our Facebook group, which is Money Buys Happiness. So
- 37:58if you want to call in for a call about anything related to wealth, obviously
- 38:02you heard some business stuff there, some money stuff, investing stuff, whatever it
- 38:06is, you're welcome to call in. We just do this once a month for
- 38:09an hour a month. All right. And each call typically goes for 10 minutes. You're
- 38:13welcome to ask the question. So if you see that go out, you
- 38:16can actually call in and hive high value calls, right? That
- 38:20can change the future for you. So I hope that makes sense. Hope
- 38:23you've enjoyed it. And thanks for leaving the comments. It's great to get some interaction there in
- 38:27the comments. If you've got any questions or other comments, pop them below. I'll
- 38:30come and reply to them. And I look forward to doing this again, live next
- 38:34month. The Wealth Hotline, let's go. See you soon. Thanks for
