- 2:58Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: What I do want to do though is I want to thank the Dan Bongino show and the Joe Rogan experience for paving the way for podcasts such as the Voices for Voices podcasts.
- 3:12Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Because without their uh trailblazing, uh we we may not we not may not be here because we might not have uh thought about uh the having a show and what it all takes and and and all that.
- 3:33Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So again, I want to give big thanks to Joe Rogan and Dan Bongino for paving the way uh so that uh you know us independent uh individuals, organizations, uh, especially with us where we're nonprofit.
- 3:52Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So any donation you make, whether you're you purchase a book, whether you buy a piece of merchandise, uh a sticker, a shirt, a mug, uh a bag, uh you you name it.
- 4:09Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We we've got a well-rounded uh merch shop that not a lot of people know about, and now we're starting to uh publicize it and advertise on the show.
- 4:25Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So I wanted to talk about my hair real quick as we're kicking this one off uh from the housekeeping uh points that we we we share.
- 4:39Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so growing up, I didn't have I didn't have uh longer hair.
- 4:48Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And it might not my hair might not seem very long.
- 4:50Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I I don't depends, I guess, how you look at it and uh what what what are thoughts on like what's long.
- 4:58Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I mean, someone like me who has had you know the kind of buzz cut for most of my life, hair like this, I never in a million years when I was growing up was was thinking about growing my hair out, and you know, even if I did, uh was like, oh, like because I'm impatient, right?
- 5:18Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: A lot of us are impatient, and and and so it takes a little bit of time for that to happen.
- 5:26Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so, you know, after about four or five weeks is usually when I go get haircut, the barbershop, uh the best barber in the world, Fred the Barber.
- 5:41Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Shout out, he's retired, uh, Myers Lake, uh, barbershop, Canton, Ohio.
- 5:49Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh my dad went to him for I don't know, 40 plus years uh for his hair.
- 5:58Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh he he started taking me and and then I fell off for a while when I was at college and um and then I started back for quite a while and then and then he retired, which he is very uh he's in a good good good position too, because uh he's he realizes you know, like like life is uh life is short, like we don't have as much time, like it seems like we do.
- 6:37Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Like, oh my gosh, what am I gonna do today, or what project am I gonna work on?
- 6:42Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Um and and so I'm I'm happy for him to finally get the rest, relaxation, do things that I know he liked to play golf.
- 6:54Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Anyways, so my hair was like buzz cut majority of my life, and then I as I got older, like what I'd say within the past year, maybe year and a half, I mean, I'm just guessing, went to homemade two to specifics.
- 7:14Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Um but I decided I was like, I'm gonna try growing it out and see what happens.
- 7:23Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh and I have a little bit better patience now, a lot of it's because I've been practicing, you know, my uh grounding and my uh you know, coping mechanisms and all those things that take that type of stress uh away.
- 7:45Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And then I have it, and then it like it the hair as it starts to grow out, it like starts to itch.
- 7:51Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so at least for me, so that's just how my scalp is, my skin is uh very oily, and anyways, too much information, but uh so I've I've been growing it out, and it's it's just been interesting uh talking to different people, uh and and some of the the people uh that for example we went to a funeral.
- 8:25Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I went to a funeral with with my with my mom that I talked about in an earlier episode and how that impacted me and and all that.
- 8:36Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Um and so it was the sister of uh uh of the deceased uh who saw my hair, and so my hair is pretty tame, I guess.
- 8:53Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh, but it was like a little bit wild that day.
- 8:56Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Like, I mean, it was I don't know.
- 9:00Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I thought I I I liked it, but I again I'm I kind of tried different things like that and see how it looks, and and uh so it was really it was it was a wild hair day, let's call it that.
- 9:15Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Um, and and so the the sister of the deceased said, I'm so glad like you you grew your hair out, or you could see a little bit little curl um in it, and uh you know, you know, you know, don't do that buzz cut again.
- 9:32Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I mean it was let's say like small tall, right?
- 9:34Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You're at a funeral, it's a very somber uh reflective time.
- 9:41Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And and and when when she said it, and a couple others have have said, uh, and I I don't know, I did I just I'm just worried about all the gray hair that's coming, that's well that's already here.
- 9:55Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Um and so then I got that decision, right?
- 9:58Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Like how long how long do I keep it growing, and then at what point do I color it?
- 10:05Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Because I am 44, I'm not getting younger, uh, and and so I'm gonna maybe need to do that, or maybe I'll just let it go and just let it let let nature do its course with the hair.
- 10:22Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And uh so why do I bring that up on this mental health podcast?
- 10:28Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And that especially for our newcomers, it's because I tried something new.
- 10:37Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Now, the easy thing for me, and for the person that cuts my hair now, which is it which is random, just depends on when I go, and I don't know the people personally.
- 10:55Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh but a buzz cut is just the easy it's an easy thing to do compared to like styling and you know layering and all these terms that I had no idea existed.
- 11:11Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Um still having still having trouble trying to figure all that out, but uh it's all good.
- 11:18Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Yeah, if you hear some growling, that's that's our that's our dog.
- 11:22Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: She's uh up and add on this this morning.
- 11:25Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh so I tried something new, and I'm growing out my hair, and I just want to use that analogy of sometimes you can try something new.
- 11:42Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so for the newcomers to voices for voices, and our voices for voices, podcasts, TV show, uh all the all the books we have, all the um all the things that uh may or may not be in the works.
- 12:12Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You're trying something new.
- 12:14Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You've been doing something, you've been part of a group, maybe for some reason.
- 12:23Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I mean, who am I, right?
- 12:27Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I'm not here to judge.
- 12:28Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I'm just here to say you're trying something new, and I tried something new with my hair, and we we can try things that are new, we can look at things in a different light, a different perspective of give you another example.
- 12:47Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We lost our remote, so you know that's that it's it's not it's not an emergency.
- 12:55Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Um, but and it feels like it in a little bit because just so used to having the remote.
- 13:08Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So we have a remote for one on TV, and now we can't find the other one, and not sure where it went, but it went somewhere.
- 13:17Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh, so we're not sure uh where where it's at.
- 13:20Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so when I talk about perspective, so you know, the you know, looking around, right?
- 13:26Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You're looking in for, you know, you're lifting up cushions of furniture and looking under and around and just places that it it shall not be for.
- 13:39Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Well, I'm in kind of I guess the third location.
- 13:45Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh, so I'd call it the third perspective of I have a different view now where I'm at than when I was at when when I when when yesterday uh we came about.
- 14:04Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh and so it changes the perspective because depending on which way, which direction the the furniture um faces, you get a different perspective, like you see a different angle.
- 14:20Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh and and so uh that's one of the reasons why I you can't tell with the with the virtual background and not with the show.
- 14:29Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Um and so that's another thing.
- 14:32Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It's like let's try something new.
- 14:37Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Let's instead of sit or being in a certain position in a certain piece of furniture or wherever, I don't know, and move it around, and maybe the remote will come into my view viewing area that I can go, oh, I can see it underneath the TV stand that I couldn't see when I was in another area, and and so I'm trying, I'm trying, I'm going over these, you know, the hair and then the remote.
- 15:13Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: These are like it's like new new things, and sometimes new things are maybe a little bit scary because of the unknown, because maybe we've been doing things for a long time.
- 15:25Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh like with the hair, I mean, I I was going Fred a barber for a a ton of years, like a lot of years, and so I had to find I I I had to kind of make a decision, like I'm gonna continue to go to one of the other barbers, which I've seen hundreds of times.
- 15:48Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So um am I gonna drive down, you know, a ways to get there, or am I gonna do something a little bit closer?
- 15:58Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And and so uh I so I tried something new.
- 16:03Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I did the the hair part of going, okay, Justin, let's let's try it, let's see where it's at.
- 16:11Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And then I get I've been getting it trimmed just a little bit.
- 16:16Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh I don't know, four or five, six, seven weeks or so.
- 16:21Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh it just depends when when that that time is.
- 16:26Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But doing something new is it's hard to do, especially if you know a lot of our maybe friends, our colleagues, maybe people we've collaborated, collabed with.
- 16:41Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh, you know, the y'all been doing you know the same thing, and then all of a sudden it's like, oh, I didn't even know voices for voices existed.
- 16:59Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I don't even know what it is.
- 17:01Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I'm just now hearing the name Voices for Voices.
- 17:05Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: What is it?
- 17:06Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: What do they do?
- 17:08Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: What do they talk about?
- 17:10Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: How does it relate to the individual?
- 17:14Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So you and the other viewers and listeners that are uh joining uh for the the first time, uh and I'd recommend going back and downloading the rest of uh the rest of our episodes.
- 17:30Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh there's a lot, and there's a lot that will pique your interest.
- 17:36Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I guarantee that uh some people say, well, you did a lot.
- 17:46Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You did oh, you did these episodes about one topic.
- 17:50Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It's like, okay, how many episodes we have?
- 17:55Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Five hundred and forty seven or so?
- 18:01Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: The reason why I'm saying or so is because there's multiple in production, so um that's why I said or so.
- 18:10Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so out of, you know, five forty-seven or so episodes, some don't like it.
- 18:24Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Um that's called life.
- 18:33Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Let's call it what it is.
- 18:35Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: If you have a child, and they're going to to school or daycare, and something happens, I don't know, some incident happens, you have a choice.
- 18:53Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Do you after seeing how the staff reacts and told whatever, I'm just like, this is just a wide open, like I'm not giving a specific example.
- 19:06Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I'm saying, like, okay, so both both parents go back to work, or if it's a you know, single parent, you know, goes back to work, and so the the child needs to um to be cared for for a period of time over the course of the day.
- 19:36Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so after all the investigation, all this and that, you and I, in this hypothetical example, we have the option to stay with that same school or that same daycare.
- 19:57Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We could stay or we could go to a different one.
- 20:04Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: That's called choice.
- 20:07Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: That's called choice.
- 20:09Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: That's called choice.
- 20:11Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: That's one of the beautiful things about where we reside, where I I reside.
- 20:21Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Where a lot where I say like everybody resides, like we have the choice.
- 20:30Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Do we stay or do we go?
- 20:35Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so all these analogies I'm I'm talking about are because a lot of people are just learning about voices for voices, and I'm so grateful everybody here, which is basically me, so we we have a website, but it's not this well-oiled professional pay.
- 21:05Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I don't even know how much to to set up.
- 21:11Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We have less than a thousand dollars.
- 21:15Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Okay.
- 21:16Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So you want to talk about being transparent in the facts?
- 21:20Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: That's a fact.
- 21:22Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: That's a fact.
- 21:24Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We have less than a thousand dollars.
- 21:27Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Yeah.
- 21:29Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We're being told that our shows are so inflammatory.
- 21:39Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Okay.
- 21:44Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Number one is the First Amendment.
- 21:49Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Number two, we have a human trafficking survivor.
- 22:00Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Three, you have a choice.
- 22:04Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You can watch or listen, or you can focus on yourself and what you're doing.
- 22:16Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Instead of saying, Oh, I don't like this one, which, oh, by the way, mysteriously, right?
- 22:26Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Mysteriously, several months ago, the Voices for Voices TikTok channel was six hundred followers, not six million, not sixty million, not six hundred million followers, not even six thousand followers.
- 22:47Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It mysteriously gets suspended.
- 22:51Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Can't use it.
- 22:53Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So we have, I think, seven followers, so we had to restart that.
- 22:57Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: That's not enough, though.
- 23:00Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: There's more.
- 23:05Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: People don't like it.
- 23:09Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Well, if I go back to that example with the ch the incident or accident at a daycare, I have a choice.
- 23:22Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I can leave my I can stay and go, okay, the staff is hold the staff is dealing with the situation the way they should.
- 23:33Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: They're being up front, they're being transparent, they're showing corrective action and all that.
- 23:40Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Or I can say, no, this isn't, this is it.
- 23:46Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Like, it's my kid, my child, we're going somewhere else.
- 23:54Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so I want to say thank you for trying something new.
- 24:03Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Thank you for coming and spending however much time you do, however many episodes you watch or listen.
- 24:15Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Thank you for that.
- 24:20Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We don't have millions of followers.
- 24:26Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We're we're we know people are watching and listening.
- 24:39Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But we're not the Joe Rogan experience, we're not the Dan Bongino show.
- 24:45Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Those are the big boys.
- 24:51Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We're a nonprofit with less than a thousand dollars in assets, and there are individuals saying you need to take something down.
- 25:06Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Well, how many controversial videos do you think Joe Joe Rogan experience and the Dan Bongino show have?
- 25:14Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Or they've had like over their career?
- 25:17Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I know I'll say I know I think Dan Bongino, because he he had a year where he um was the deputy FBI director, I think.
- 25:29Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So outside of that, uh he he's had his show.
- 25:32Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I I think he's over 2,000 episodes or more.
- 25:37Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We have 540 plus.
- 25:41Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I don't know what the count of Joe Rogan is because they have like a consistent thing uh where you know day in and day out, except I think the weekends and maybe some weekends, they do have shows.
- 25:58Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Like they have a well-oiled machine, they have people working for them, they have people helping, you know, put up graphics on the screen or play clips, and we we're just talking.
- 26:23Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We share information, we share public safety concerns, public safety alerts.
- 26:31Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Children are porn, right?
- 26:37Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: No child is for sale.
- 26:42Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: No child's for sale, no child is for sale.
- 26:51Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Talked to the San Diego district attorney, Summer Steffen, last week.
- 27:01Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So go back a few episodes and and you'll see.
- 27:04Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: The week of Comic Con San Diego.
- 27:12Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We had the district attorney of San Diego County on our show for the second time.
- 27:25Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We had her on last year, we had her on this year.
- 27:30Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: If what we were doing or allegedly doing was so inflammatory, she wouldn't come on the show.
- 27:43Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Shannon Miller wouldn't come on the show.
- 27:48Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Oksana Bayul wouldn't come on the show.
- 27:53Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I mean, I can we can do this all day.
- 27:57Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So if we're doing what is being alleged, number one, you have a choice.
- 28:07Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You can stay or should I stay or should I go?
- 28:10Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: That song, right?
- 28:12Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Should I stay or should I go?
- 28:14Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I forget who sings it.
- 28:20Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I'm not stealing it.
- 28:21Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I'm just I just don't remember who's who sings it.
- 28:31Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so that's the part that a lot of a lot of people they don't understand.
- 28:39Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: They just go, oh, look at this episode.
- 28:44Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Oh, look at this.
- 28:48Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You know what I do?
- 28:50Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I only download and listen or watch the episodes I want to.
- 28:57Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I don't download, I don't and I do that because it lowers my stress.
- 29:10Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Like I I'm not gonna take the time, just like I'm not gonna take the time to write a review on a show if I don't like the guest or I don't like the show.
- 29:23Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I'm just not I'm just gonna turn it off.
- 29:26Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I'll find something else.
- 29:29Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: There's a bazillion shows and podcasts out there now.
- 29:40Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So again.
- 29:48Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We have a podcast.
- 29:52Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We have solo episodes, we have episodes with guests.
- 29:56Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We have episodes like this, we have episodes on location, like we had with Don Mattis Jr., which I'm not telling anybody they need to stop drinking alcohol, I'm not telling anybody that this man is over 40 years sober and drug-free, and so I've been in good contact for several years with him.
- 30:32Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so we went to help celebrate and had him on the show, and so we did it on location.
- 30:41Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Ted Cruz, Senator Ted Cruz from the great state of Texas.
- 30:46Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You might say, oh, well, you know, we're bringing politics.
- 30:50Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: No, really not.
- 30:52Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I'm bringing common sense because we talk more about culture and what's just going on in the life than we talk about politics.
- 31:06Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: For those that are new, watching, listening, check out our transcript.
- 31:14Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: The take it down law.
- 31:16Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So take it down act.
- 31:23Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: A couple years back, there were I think three or four young ladies in high school have an Instagram account or social media account.
- 31:40Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I know our our uh resource and connection.
- 31:50Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It was an Instagram.
- 31:51Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But what ended up happening was her name's Ellison Barry.
- 32:00Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Google her.
- 32:02Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: See if anything comes up.
- 32:06Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: See if anything comes up with the president of the United States sign in the Take It Down Act into law, federal law.
- 32:15Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So states can't pick and choose, uh well, we're gonna, we're not gonna, it's gonna be up to the state.
- 32:21Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: No, this is a federal law.
- 32:24Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Passed in the Senate, passed in the House of Representatives, President Donald J.
- 32:30Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Trump, I don't care you like him or not, if it if President Joe Biden was in office and he signed it, I would just say the same thing.
- 32:38Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: President of the United States signed it into law.
- 32:42Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And what happened?
- 32:44Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Well, these three or four young ladies went to school one day.
- 32:51Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: People were whispering.
- 32:54Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And Elliston came to find out that somebody in her school used an AI artificial intelligence program to take an innocent take innocent photos of Elliston on her Instagram account and turn them into nude photos.
- 33:22Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Big tech was just like you gotta be Taylor Swift, or you gotta be somebody like like you're just you know a regular everyday person, you don't get that type of treatment.
- 33:39Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So Senator Ted Cruz, after Ellison's mom called every legislature, every congressperson in their state of Texas, told the situation, and Senator Ted Cruz picked it up.
- 33:58Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: He has daughters, one an uh a year older and one a year younger than Elliston.
- 34:07Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: He passed the Take It Down Act in the state of Texas, but because big tech is like a federal thing, because right, like I I can get Instagram where I live, you can probably get Instagram where you live, so it's it's like an interstate commerce type of deal where so it's a federal thing.
- 34:29Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So when they pass the take it down act in Texas, it couldn't fully be enacted unless up and until the act, the take it down act was signed into law by the president of the United States.
- 34:54Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So Senator Ted Cruz, again, I don't care if you like him or not, I don't agree with everything.
- 35:01Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I don't live in his state, but this man did the right thing.
- 35:10Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: He got that passed in the state of Texas, he took this legislation in the committee before it goes out for a vote in the Senate.
- 35:21Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Went into committee, out of committee, passed in the Senate, then passed by Donald J.
- 35:31Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: President Donald J.
- 35:32Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Trump.
- 35:32Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And the reason I'll I'll say that is because, well, he's the president, he signed it.
- 35:38Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So did the first lady.
- 35:45Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: She didn't have to.
- 35:51Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: She didn't have to.
- 35:57Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: She got the pen that the president signed in the law.
- 36:02Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Um we've had episode we have episodes with Alliston, her mom, Miss Anna.
- 36:08Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So check those out.
- 36:09Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Again, we have a ton of a ton of episodes.
- 36:15Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so it got passed.
- 36:23Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: By the house, by the Senate.
- 36:27Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And it could have been signed into law by President Joe Biden in last year.
- 36:32Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Or not last year, but he he could have signed it in in hit the last days of his presidency.
- 36:42Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But he he he decided not to.
- 36:44Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: He had you know roadblocks put up and uh had people block it in the house.
- 36:53Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Um but then when Trump was elected, that's that that nonsense stopped.
- 37:05Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so it's a federal law to take pictures and turn them into nude photos.
- 37:15Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It's a federal law to take innocent photos online on social media and use an AI program or any program and turn those into nude photos, sexually explicit nude photos, could be videos, you know, the same deal.
- 37:41Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Um and so that's a thing.
- 37:45Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: That's that's a real life law, it's a federal law.
- 37:53Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so that's one of the guests that we've had on.
- 37:56Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I think we had it on three times.
- 37:59Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Like first one, yeah, anyways, we had three times.
- 38:03Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: The most recent one showed the pen, president signed.
- 38:12Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So again, talk about getting things done, sent her Ted Cruz, yeah, traveled to DC, interviewed him in person.
- 38:24Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: That episode you could you can find.
- 38:27Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It's like a 13 or 14-minute episode.
- 38:32Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Real quick, real easy, right to the point.
- 38:38Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So whether you agree with his politics or not, he's helping children and even adults.
- 38:46Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It's gonna happen to an adult too.
- 38:54Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So for those that are new to Voices for Voices, these these are the type of things, these are the type of topics we talk about.
- 39:05Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I didn't get to meet the president, I didn't get to meet the first lady, I didn't Ellison did.
- 39:12Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Ellison was President Donald J.
- 39:17Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Trump's guest, one of his guests of honor at one of his State of the Union speeches.
- 39:27Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Ellison was sitting right next to First Lady Melania Trump.
- 39:32Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Say what you want about her.
- 39:33Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: She's the first lady of our country.
- 39:40Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So again, Google that name.
- 39:50Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Go ahead, do it.
- 39:53Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: For all you fact checkers out there that say that you look into things and you really don't.
- 40:03Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: For whatever reason.
- 40:04Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I don't know.
- 40:05Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I'm not here to judge at.
- 40:07Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: All I'm here is helping people, sharing information, and so it's a big deal.
- 40:16Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It's a public service announcement that this law passed, and that when people get in trouble, and they abuse children, abuse elderly, really abuse them.
- 40:36Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Not this made up nonsense of somebody saying, Oh, they're abusing me when they never met in person, they never like so like it.
- 40:57Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I mean, anyways, like I'm talking about people taking people across the border, I'm talking about having people in warehouses and cages, like that's the stuff we're talking about.
- 41:10Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: If it makes you feel uncomfortable, it should.
- 41:13Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It should piss you off because it pisses me off.
- 41:19Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Because we have people that be careful how I how you say it, but we have people who they don't want to hear it, but yet they did they'll be the first one to watch or listen to the show.
- 41:37Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I mean, I guess thank you for the downloads and you know, viewing and listening to the show our shows.
- 41:46Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I mean, I think we've been we've had a show for maybe two years, maybe a little bit longer.
- 42:01Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Again, I'm just focused on the here and the now and then the future.
- 42:08Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Because I don't know what I don't know how much time I have left on earth.
- 42:12Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I don't know anybody that that knows that specific information.
- 42:19Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So that's why I'm talking about the here and the now.
- 42:24Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But when somebody has a grievance, okay, great.
- 42:34Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And the big tech, how do some grievances get a platform like our TikTok taken down and it's puffed up in smoke?
- 42:52Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: There's there's nothing there.
- 43:00Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And then I report something and it's just like, nope, that doesn't qualify.
- 43:10Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Okay.
- 43:15Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So we're so grate grateful to have you.
- 43:19Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Here's our puppy.
- 43:23Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: There's Lucy.
- 43:24Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: She always knows when something's going on.
- 43:32Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So thank you and welcome to our new viewers and listeners.
- 43:39Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Welcome back to our viewers and listeners who have been with us from the beginning or have watched or listened to another show at another time.

- 44:24Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And we just want to say thank you.
- 44:27Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Welcome.
- 44:28Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Welcome back.
- 44:30Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You're always welcome here.
- 44:33Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We're not going to put people down.
- 44:36Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We don't.
- 44:38Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But we will we will talk the truth and we'll show facts.
- 44:43Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And that's that's what we've done.
- 44:48Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And some people don't like that.
- 44:54Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Some people don't like the facts.
- 44:59Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We don't have a profession, yeah, we don't have professional website.
- 45:04Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We don't have.
- 45:14Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: What we do have is you are great viewers or great listeners that show up day in and day out, and we're able to see it with the analytics.
- 45:30Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so yeah, that's why I say thank you and we're grateful so often because we are.
- 45:43Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: If we didn't have a show if we didn't if we weren't making an impact.
- 45:55Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I I I don't I don't I don't know where I'd be.
- 46:14Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Lucy, what'd you do?
- 46:19Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: There we are.
- 46:22Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Lucy just with her paws, like tapping a different button.
- 46:28Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So I was like, oh my gosh, you stopped it, or it disappeared.
- 46:32Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Um but yeah, and in all reality, um our viewers, our listeners, our supporters, our volunteers, anybody that's ever been involved with voices for voices.
- 46:52Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Again, we don't we we don't have um a lot of the resources, a lot of the things that other organizations do.
- 47:04Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But what we do have is we have heart.
- 47:08Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We have heart, we have empathy, we have content that aims to help people, that aims to bring people together, not divide.
- 47:35Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And without you, I'll say one last time here.
- 47:41Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Without you, we we we aren't we aren't the voices for voices that we are today.
- 47:50Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Thank you very much.
- 47:54Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Again, if you can do us quick favors that are free, give us a big thumbs up, like, follow, subscribe, share, reshare, repost, and get in that phone and share the Voices for Voices podcast.

- 48:26Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: To those that been with us from the beginning, we know we'll see you and you'll hear us.
- 48:34Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And for those that are trying something new and learning a little bit about voices for voices in the foundation of mental health, trauma, and recovery that's embedded with every single episode we do because of my mental illnesses.
- 48:58Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: That's how Voices for Voices was founded.
- 49:03Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And again, check out the description for our merch shop.
- 49:10Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: If you want to purchase either of the two books you see behind me, and our social media handles.

- 49:26Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Let's not divide, let's celebrate all the voices.
- 49:30Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Let's be a voice for not only ourselves, but maybe somebody else in need that deserves to have their voice amplified.
- 49:40Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We'll see you next time.
- 49:41Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Goodbye for now.
