- 0:00Speaker 1: 96.1 Kiss Morning Freak Show.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Honestly, I'm surprised I didn't get the cops called on
- 0:06Speaker 2: me this morning.
- 0:07Speaker 3: I just, dude, my key fob to get in the
- 0:09Speaker 3: building hasn't been working since last week.
- 0:13Speaker 2: I've told our boss about this. Like, he knows. I
- 0:17Speaker 2: said I can't get in every morning. And then.
- 0:20Speaker 3: You tell office lady Amy, though. She's on vacation, dude.
- 0:24Speaker 3: Because she's the one who really runs this place. I
- 0:27Speaker 3: think she's on vacation. Everybody else is a joker. I know.
- 0:32Speaker 3: Office Lady Amy's the brains of the operation. I know,
- 0:35Speaker 3: but she's on vacation. I don't think she can get
- 0:39Speaker 3: my key card working again. So what were you doing?
- 0:41Speaker 3: Peeping Tom in through the window?
- 0:43Speaker 2: No, no.
- 0:45Speaker 3: So the maintenance guy, when I talked to him, like
- 0:49Speaker 3: this would have been Monday when I talked to him
- 0:51Speaker 3: and couldn't get in the building. He was like, hey,
- 0:55Speaker 3: the key box over here has an extra key in it.
- 1:00Speaker 3: I'll give you the combinations. And I'm like, all right, man,
- 1:03Speaker 3: I'll get it from my boss. I'm not thinking that
- 1:06Speaker 3: this is like... He's like, it's like my... last four
- 1:09Speaker 3: digits of my cell phone number. So I'm like, all right, man,
- 1:12Speaker 3: just like, I just got to go to work. Like,
- 1:14Speaker 3: but now that it's happened more and more.
- 1:16Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:16Speaker 3: Yeah. I was out there this morning by a generator.
- 1:20Speaker 3: It's hooked to the generator. I'm sitting back there and I,
- 1:23Speaker 3: I got this looking shady as all hell. I got
- 1:26Speaker 3: this box in my hand and I'm putting the code in.
- 1:28Speaker 3: And then I'm like, then I get the key. Then
- 1:31Speaker 3: I unlocked the door. Then I go to put the
- 1:33Speaker 3: key back. I can't close the box. So I'm out
- 1:38Speaker 3: there for, like, five minutes, like, what do I do?
- 1:41Speaker 2: I just left it there. I don't know what to do.
- 1:44Speaker 3: I just got to go to work, man. We got
- 1:45Speaker 3: to go talk into microphones and, you know, make people happy.
- 1:48Speaker 3: This is somebody else's problem.
- 1:51Speaker 2: You're right, though.
- 1:52Speaker 3: Office lady Amy in our building, in our floor, she
- 1:55Speaker 3: is the one that controls everything. She is the one
- 1:58Speaker 3: who can make my key fob work again. I don't
- 2:01Speaker 3: know what it is, Bob, but still, man. Because it
- 2:04Speaker 3: happened to us in our first radio job. They didn't
- 2:07Speaker 3: tell us we were fired. They didn't email us. They
- 2:10Speaker 3: just shut our keys off. So whenever I go to
- 2:13Speaker 3: swipe my key and it doesn't work, I get transported
- 2:16Speaker 3: right back to the year 2001. And I just go, oh, no.
- 2:21Speaker 3: Today's the day. Could this be the day?
- 2:25Speaker 4: 96.1.
- 2:25Speaker 3: Yeah. I'm ready for these fall vibes, man. All the
- 2:31Speaker 3: pumpkins back, football's back. It's supposed to be highs in
- 2:35Speaker 3: like the mid-80s today. I think I'm over that, you know?
- 2:39Speaker 3: Last couple squirts. Yeah, I think I'm over the sweaty
- 2:42Speaker 3: and swampiness of the last squirts of summer here. It's
- 2:45Speaker 3: Mikey and Bob on 96.1 KISS. Let's get to a
- 2:49Speaker 3: talkback message. One of our great listeners, Ant Kaka.
- 2:52Speaker 2: Check it in.
- 2:53Speaker 3: Send a talkback message through the free iHeartRadio app brought
- 2:56Speaker 3: to us by One Team Media. Hi, boys.
- 2:58Speaker 2: There she is. It's Eric Parker.
- 3:01Speaker 3: So I'm on my way home.
- 3:03Speaker 2: Okay.
- 3:04Speaker 5: And I see what I think is.
- 3:07Speaker 6: A little tuxedo cat.
- 3:09Speaker 3: And I go full Bob, okay?
- 3:11Speaker 5: Like I put the Altoids in the car.
- 3:13Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:13Speaker 7: I'm shaking.
- 3:14Speaker 3: I'm going. Yeah.
- 3:17Speaker 2: Bob one time tried to acquire kitty cats for me.
- 3:21Speaker 3: On the way into work.
- 3:22Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:22Speaker 3: I got out of my car with, like, I had mints.
- 3:24Speaker 5: And I was.
- 3:24Speaker 2: Yeah, shaking them.
- 3:25Speaker 3: Jiggling them, trying to get the cats to come over
- 3:27Speaker 3: to me.
- 3:27Speaker 6: Yeah, I have eight.
- 3:28Speaker 2: I don't need more.
- 3:29Speaker 4: Come here, kitty.
- 3:31Speaker 2: Come here, kitty.
- 3:32Speaker 8: All right.
- 3:32Speaker 3: Aunt Kaka is trying to wrangle a cat with Altoids
- 3:37Speaker 3: in the international sign for you can trust me.
- 3:41Speaker 9: Okay.
- 3:42Speaker 3: And this little tuxedo cat is just hunkering down in
- 3:45Speaker 3: the bush.
- 3:46Speaker 6: So I'm like, you know what?
- 3:48Speaker 4: Like.
- 3:48Speaker 5: It's not afraid of me.
- 3:50Speaker 3: Like, it's just sitting there looking at me like I
- 3:52Speaker 3: see the eyes. Yeah.
- 3:55Speaker 5: So I better, like, let me just go see if
- 3:56Speaker 5: I can take the key.
- 3:57Speaker 6: All right.
- 3:58Speaker 3: Aunt Kaka going in for a closer look here, saying, ah,
- 4:01Speaker 3: kitty seems nice. You never want to go into the bush. No,
- 4:04Speaker 3: don't go into the bush. Don't go into the bush.
- 4:07Speaker 3: Loose cat?
- 4:08Speaker 2: Sure. Figure it out. Don't go into the bush for
- 4:10Speaker 2: the kitty cat.
- 4:11Speaker 9: So I go to take the kitty.
- 4:12Speaker 4: It is not a kitty.
- 4:13Speaker 2: It's not a cat.
- 4:14Speaker 10: It is a skunk.
- 4:15Speaker 3: It did not spray me, but I thought it was
- 4:17Speaker 3: going to.
- 4:18Speaker 2: Okay, love you.
- 4:19Speaker 3: Happy birthday, Bob.
- 4:20Speaker 2: Okay, it's not Bob's birthday. That's New Year's Day.
- 4:22Speaker 6: Thank you.
- 4:22Speaker 3: Yeah, I thought it was a tuxedo cat.
- 4:24Speaker 2: It was not.
- 4:25Speaker 3: I just pictured Kaka leaning into that bush.
- 4:27Speaker 2: Not a cat!
- 4:28Speaker 3: Just throwing it in reverse. Not a cat! Not again.
- 4:32Speaker 3: Back up. Didn't spray me, but not again.
- 4:36Speaker 2: Is Joey Porter Jr. going to get traded?
- 4:38Speaker 3: We're milking some Steelers content coming up around 625. And then, man,
- 4:43Speaker 3: the Ed Sheeran tour has turned on him.
- 4:46Speaker 2: What a mess.
- 4:46Speaker 3: This situation. I don't know if we've seen a situation
- 4:49Speaker 3: like this before involving... so many like artists, you know,
- 4:54Speaker 3: that create art and music for us.
- 4:56Speaker 2: And, uh, yeah, the Ed Sheeran tour update. We'll get
- 4:59Speaker 2: to that around six 40.
- 5:00Speaker 3: Wiz Khalifa tickets around eight 30 this morning. It's Mikey
- 5:03Speaker 3: and Bob.
- 5:05Speaker 2: Mikey and Bob podcast.
- 5:08Speaker 3: If you miss any live show, you can get our
- 5:10Speaker 3: Mikey and Bob podcast on the free iHeartRadio app. Brought
- 5:13Speaker 3: to us by the C. Harper Auto Group. Bob, I
- 5:16Speaker 3: hope you're ready to milk. It's time to milk some
- 5:19Speaker 3: of this Steelers content. What's going on with Joey Porter Jr.? Milk, milk, milk.
- 5:26Speaker 11: Milk, milk the Steelers content.
- 5:28Speaker 2: Milk, milk, milk, milk, milk the Steelers content. Oh boy,
- 5:33Speaker 2: clear out of the way.
- 5:34Speaker 5: Huh?
- 5:34Speaker 2: It's Jerry Dulac from the Post Gazette. A Dulac bomb?
- 5:39Speaker 2: He said, wouldn't shock me if the Steelers trade Joey
- 5:45Speaker 2: Porter Jr. Whoa!
- 5:49Speaker 3: Jerry Dulac writes about Joey Porter Jr. Dulac's a real insider, too.
- 5:56Speaker 3: He has no leverage in this matter. I can't tell
- 5:59Speaker 3: you what they're going to do because I don't know,
- 6:00Speaker 3: but I know this. We've seen it in the past.
- 6:02Speaker 3: If somebody comes and they're willing to give them a
- 6:04Speaker 3: decent offer, it wouldn't shock me at all. If they
- 6:07Speaker 3: trade him, they're not just going to sit there and
- 6:09Speaker 3: tolerate or acquiesce to what Joey Porter Jr. wants. If
- 6:13Speaker 3: he wants out and they've had enough, then you know what?
- 6:16Speaker 2: They'll get rid of him.
- 6:19Speaker 3: Melt, melt, melt, melt, melt the Steelers content. All right,
- 6:23Speaker 3: let's go to James Harrison and Joe Hayden, two former Steelers,
- 6:27Speaker 3: on their Deebo and Joe podcast talking about Joey Porter Jr.
- 6:30Speaker 3: It's a business at the end of the day.
- 6:31Speaker 8: It's a business.
- 6:32Speaker 10: So I'm with Joey Porter where he's like, look, it's
- 6:34Speaker 10: $ 100 million guarantees going off over here.
- 6:37Speaker 2: And when you're talking about less than 30, I can't
- 6:39Speaker 2: do that. It just doesn't make sense to me.
- 6:42Speaker 4: So the best thing would be, for me now, get
- 6:45Speaker 4: as much as they could if they're going to trade
- 6:48Speaker 4: Joey Porter Jr.
- 6:49Speaker 3: All right, so that's Joe Hayden saying get what you
- 6:51Speaker 3: can right now because you're not going to be able
- 6:53Speaker 3: to pay him all this guaranteed money.
- 6:56Speaker 2: And then if you want.
- 6:57Speaker 3: To just do whatever you're doing this year and then
- 7:00Speaker 3: franchise tag him next year, well, he's going to be
- 7:02Speaker 3: mad at that. I mean, we're dealing with, this seems
- 7:06Speaker 3: like Le'Veon Bell's situation over again. It's Le'Veon. It's Le'Veon.
- 7:09Speaker 2: It's really Le'Veon.
- 7:11Speaker 6: Really?
- 7:12Speaker 2: Really? At the end of the day, Joey Porter Jr.
- 7:15Speaker 3: really?
- 7:17Speaker 2: I'm not really on the Steeler side here, though, because, dude. Yeah,
- 7:21Speaker 2: I don't care.
- 7:21Speaker 3: You should have paid this dude already, right? They paid
- 7:24Speaker 3: everybody else. And now he's going to cost a lot
- 7:26Speaker 3: of money. Jerry Dulac in the Post Gazette also said,
- 7:29Speaker 3: I think they could probably get a third round pick
- 7:31Speaker 3: for him.
- 7:31Speaker 2: Milk, milk.
- 7:33Speaker 3: He said, I'm hesitant to call it a charade. But
- 7:37Speaker 3: if the charade continues, then what's the point of even
- 7:41Speaker 3: having him around?
- 7:43Speaker 5: Wow!
- 7:44Speaker 2: And by the way, I don't want to call it
- 7:46Speaker 2: a charade. But if this charade continues.
- 7:51Speaker 3: Hey, Jerry Dulac, you didn't want to call it a charade,
- 7:54Speaker 3: and then you called it a charade.
- 7:56Speaker 2: Okay, Dulac?
- 7:57Speaker 3: How dare you call it a charade?
- 7:59Speaker 2: How are we supposed to trust you, Dulac?
- 8:02Speaker 3: He presented charade like it was the most offensive thing ever.
- 8:07Speaker 2: I'm not here to call this a charade. But if
- 8:10Speaker 2: this charade continues.
- 8:12Speaker 3: Whoa, Dulac! A lot of that's probably coming from the Steelers, though,
- 8:19Speaker 3: through Jerry Dulac saying, hey, go write this report on
- 8:23Speaker 3: Joey Porter Jr.
- 8:24Speaker 2: Tell his ass. We will trade him.
- 8:26Speaker 3: Dude, when Jerry Dulac says something like that and it
- 8:28Speaker 3: gets out in the media, then other teams, I assume,
- 8:31Speaker 3: just start calling, right? Like, just like, oh, they're players.
- 8:34Speaker 3: They're looking. They're floating it out there with Dulac and
- 8:38Speaker 3: his charades. Omar Khan's going to get a call and
- 8:42Speaker 3: be like, hey. What's going on with that charade over there?
- 8:44Speaker 3: I heard Dulac called it a charade. He didn't want
- 8:47Speaker 3: to call it a charade, but he called it a charade.
- 8:50Speaker 3: We're at charade level?
- 8:51Speaker 6: Oh, yeah.
- 8:53Speaker 3: We want the Super Bowl parade, but all we get
- 8:56Speaker 3: now is a Joey Porter Jr. charade. Melt, melt, melt, melt,
- 9:02Speaker 3: melt the Steelers content.
- 9:04Speaker 4: 96-1.
- 9:07Speaker 3: I feel like I've eaten enough sweet treats over the
- 9:11Speaker 3: years where I've marinated my body and a bear would
- 9:14Speaker 3: just eat me like a snack.
- 9:15Speaker 1: Scream the Mikey and Bob podcast on iHeartRadio or wherever
- 9:19Speaker 1: you get your podcasts.
- 9:23Speaker 3: This Friday and Saturday night out in Vegas, it's our
- 9:27Speaker 3: iHeartRadio Music Festival presented by Capital One. You'll be able
- 9:30Speaker 3: to hear it right here on 96.1 KISS and stream
- 9:33Speaker 3: it on Disney Plus and Hulu.
- 9:34Speaker 2: Friday and Saturday night.
- 9:35Speaker 3: Got to make sure you got all your caffeine, though.
- 9:39Speaker 3: Starts around 1030 at night because it's West Coast out
- 9:42Speaker 3: in Vegas.
- 9:43Speaker 2: It's Mikey and Bob here on 96.1 KISS. Ed Sheeran's tour.
- 9:47Speaker 2: This ain't going good.
- 9:49Speaker 6: What a mess.
- 9:49Speaker 2: Everybody left him yesterday.
- 9:51Speaker 3: What a disaster. Just to give you sort of the
- 9:53Speaker 3: cliff notes here, Ed Sheeran's been on tour forever, right?
- 9:56Speaker 3: And Macklemore was one of the opening acts. Macklemore in
- 10:00Speaker 3: a couple of the shows spoke out, you know, free
- 10:04Speaker 3: Palestine and had like some war images on the screen
- 10:08Speaker 3: and stuff like that. And that's when billionaire owner of
- 10:12Speaker 3: the Patriots, Robert Kraft, stepped in and basically said, hey,
- 10:16Speaker 3: Ed Sheeran, the tour is not going to be allowed
- 10:18Speaker 3: here if Macklemore is going to do that. And Ed
- 10:20Speaker 3: Sheeran dropped Macklemore from the tour because didn't Robert Kraft
- 10:25Speaker 3: reach out to other NFL owners?
- 10:27Speaker 2: Yeah, he was going to ruin the tour. It was
- 10:28Speaker 2: a whole thing that was happening.
- 10:30Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 10:30Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 10:30Speaker 3: Ed's got like a handful of shows here in North America.
- 10:34Speaker 3: And Robert Kraft is reaching out to the other. NFL
- 10:37Speaker 3: owners that have the big venues he was playing at.
- 10:40Speaker 3: So basically, those other owners were like, oh yeah, sure,
- 10:43Speaker 3: Robert Kraft, you're the man. We'll listen to you. So
- 10:46Speaker 3: the Ed Sheeran tour was then sort of in jeopardy.
- 10:49Speaker 3: That's when Ed, it appeared, pulled Macklemore off of his tour.
- 10:55Speaker 3: Now everyone quit. Yeah, it's sloppy as the first part
- 11:00Speaker 3: of Macklemore getting pulled off was. Everybody just walked away.
- 11:04Speaker 3: So the band, the Irish band Bioga, that actually has
- 11:07Speaker 3: been playing with Ed for like 10 years on tour, said,
- 11:10Speaker 3: We are a traditional Irish band who never saw ourselves
- 11:12Speaker 3: playing in stadiums of this size, and that opportunity is
- 11:15Speaker 3: not lost on us. We've been friends with Ed for
- 11:17Speaker 3: over 10 years and will continue to be. But we
- 11:19Speaker 3: believe in dialogue as a means of progressing the plight
- 11:22Speaker 3: of the Palestinian people. Aaron Rowe, another one who opened
- 11:26Speaker 3: up for Ed Sheeran and was scheduled to open for
- 11:29Speaker 3: him on the remaining 10 dates that he has posted.
- 11:32Speaker 3: Ed's been a friend to me and changed my life.
- 11:34Speaker 3: I can't thank him enough for this. But. As Irish people,
- 11:37Speaker 3: we all know too well about genocide and forced famine
- 11:40Speaker 3: and violent occupation. I cannot stand by and allow billionaires
- 11:43Speaker 3: to use their position of power to silence the rightful
- 11:46Speaker 3: voices of those who speak up. I would lose all
- 11:48Speaker 3: respect for myself to carry on as normal. So he
- 11:50Speaker 3: lost one.
- 11:51Speaker 2: Of his openers. He lost his own band.
- 11:54Speaker 3: Phineas, who is Billie Eilish's brother and collaborator, he was
- 11:59Speaker 3: going to be an opener in South America this year,
- 12:01Speaker 3: but he decided to back out and said, artists must
- 12:04Speaker 3: not be silenced when they speak up for the oppressed.
- 12:07Speaker 3: I've decided to withdraw from my upcoming tour dates. I
- 12:09Speaker 3: stand with Palestine and its people. Lucas Graham, also one
- 12:14Speaker 3: of the Ed Sheeran openers, said money doesn't give you
- 12:17Speaker 3: the right to own the conversation. Nobody's bank balance should
- 12:20Speaker 3: decide who gets to speak or which suffering we're allowed
- 12:23Speaker 3: to acknowledge. seeming like referring to Robert Kraft there and
- 12:27Speaker 3: is just like, well, I'm the billionaire.
- 12:28Speaker 2: I got the power like this.
- 12:29Speaker 3: Watch this. I decide who opens for Ed Sheeran. And
- 12:33Speaker 3: I can take down the whole tour if I want to. Yeah, well,
- 12:35Speaker 3: the whole tour is taken down.
- 12:36Speaker 6: It's nuts.
- 12:37Speaker 2: He's supposed to play in Philly on Saturday. I don't
- 12:41Speaker 2: know if that's happening.
- 12:41Speaker 3: He doesn't have a band right now, unless he has
- 12:43Speaker 3: like a backup band ready to go. The Bioga, that
- 12:47Speaker 3: was the band for 10 years. And they were just like, no,
- 12:50Speaker 3: we ain't doing this. He's just got to pack it up, right? Yeah,
- 12:53Speaker 3: I think so. Ed tried to make things better. He said,
- 12:56Speaker 3: Macklemore coming off tour was the promoter's decision.
- 12:59Speaker 2: It was not mine. See, love Ed Sheeran. That's not
- 13:03Speaker 2: how you do this. Everybody just wants some realness, some truth.
- 13:10Speaker 3: Oh, yeah. I I didn't decide who the opener was
- 13:14Speaker 3: on my tour. And it's your tour. Like, I get
- 13:17Speaker 3: that there's powers that be here that but it is
- 13:20Speaker 3: your tour at the.
- 13:22Speaker 2: End of the day. Yeah.
- 13:23Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 13:24Speaker 3: And you can decide if you're going to support your
- 13:26Speaker 3: opening act or not. But he said, I would never
- 13:29Speaker 3: let down the fans who made plans, nor would I
- 13:31Speaker 3: abandon the touring crew and the other acts. and musicians
- 13:35Speaker 3: I support who rely on me for work and to
- 13:36Speaker 3: make a living. I've spent a week trying to build
- 13:38Speaker 3: bridges and find a solution. We were unable to do so.
- 13:42Speaker 3: I know who I am as a person and as
- 13:44Speaker 3: an artist, and those who know my heart know my
- 13:46Speaker 3: values too. I just think this blew up a little
- 13:49Speaker 3: bit more than a lot of people thought it was
- 13:51Speaker 3: going to when it was just like, ah, just kick
- 13:54Speaker 3: Macklemore off the tour and it'll be okay. Yeah, the
- 13:56Speaker 3: narrative shifted to Ed Sheeran is more worried about completing
- 14:01Speaker 3: this tour and making millions of dollars you know like
- 14:03Speaker 3: that it just did not turn well and maybe ed
- 14:06Speaker 3: just had the wrong people around him advising him what
- 14:09Speaker 3: to say or what to do he probably didn't also
- 14:11Speaker 3: think that his band and his other opening acts would
- 14:13Speaker 3: follow like macklemore and just be like no dude we're
- 14:15Speaker 3: not we're not doing this and like does he find
- 14:18Speaker 3: other opening acts now or does he just say all
- 14:21Speaker 3: right you know what Maybe this is what we needed to.
- 14:24Speaker 3: I mean, it brings up the whole, you know, Israel,
- 14:27Speaker 3: Palestine and all that stuff. That's going world politics are
- 14:31Speaker 3: involved here. And some of our pop stars, right? Like
- 14:35Speaker 3: it's a weird, it's a weird thing, but we'll keep
- 14:39Speaker 3: you updated with whether or not Ed's going to play.
- 14:42Speaker 3: this weekend all right we'll get to today in freak
- 14:44Speaker 3: show history coming up next also got your chance to
- 14:46Speaker 3: go see wiz khalifa playing at the brand new venue
- 14:48Speaker 3: you ain't even been in there yet you don't even
- 14:50Speaker 3: know what it looks like in there right you ain't
- 14:52Speaker 3: even sniffed it uh citizens live at the wiley wiz
- 14:55Speaker 3: khalifa tickets around 8 30 it's mikey and bob Zara
- 14:59Speaker 3: Larson performing this Friday night at her iHeartRadio Music Festival
- 15:04Speaker 3: out in Vegas. It's Mikey and Bob here on 96.1 KISS.
- 15:07Speaker 3: Pirates lost on Clemente Day yesterday, 5-1 to the Brewers.
- 15:11Speaker 3: Pirates now a game under.
- 15:13Speaker 2: 500.
- 15:13Speaker 3: Hey, they got all the bobbleheads, though. There's 23,000 people
- 15:17Speaker 3: at the game, they said.
- 15:18Speaker 2: I saw that. I turned it on for a while.
- 15:20Speaker 2: It was pretty packed.
- 15:21Speaker 3: Yeah, they didn't run out of bobbleheads. That's what you
- 15:23Speaker 3: get when you throw a bobblehead up there. So, yeah,
- 15:26Speaker 3: Pirates will be back at it again. At home tonight,
- 15:28Speaker 3: Jared Jones pitching for the Buccos. We had a tough
- 15:33Speaker 3: thing we've been dealing with here on the show for
- 15:36Speaker 3: the last few days. We got a message from Megan.
- 15:40Speaker 3: She used to be married to a listener of our
- 15:42Speaker 3: show that we called Canadian Bacon Brandon. And, you know,
- 15:47Speaker 3: the family sent us a big Canadian care package before
- 15:51Speaker 3: with just some Canadian treats in it. He would leave
- 15:54Speaker 3: us messages.
- 15:55Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 15:56Speaker 3: Yeah. Over the years.
- 15:57Speaker 2: And, you know, we got the message from Megan about him.
- 16:02Speaker 12: We lived in Pittsburgh for five years. And after moving
- 16:04Speaker 12: back to Canada, listening to your podcast as a family
- 16:07Speaker 12: was really our link back to the Berg when we
- 16:10Speaker 12: felt homesick. Because September is Suicide Prevention Month in both
- 16:14Speaker 12: Canada and the U.S., I wanted to call in and
- 16:16Speaker 12: share some news. Brandon died by suicide this past July.
- 16:19Speaker 12: I'm sharing this to remind everyone that it is absolutely
- 16:22Speaker 12: okay to talk about hard things and ask the difficult questions.
- 16:25Speaker 3: Yeah, and again, appreciate Megan just sharing the news with
- 16:29Speaker 3: us and our, you know, MUBR listener family here and everyone.
- 16:35Speaker 3: It's a good message to remember to check in on people.
- 16:38Speaker 3: Weed Niko, our buddy who lives over in the state
- 16:41Speaker 3: of Washington across the country, out by Western Canada, he
- 16:45Speaker 3: sent in a message after he got the news.
- 16:47Speaker 8: Hey, boys.
- 16:48Speaker 10: Weed Niko from Washington. Devastating news about Canadian bacon branding.
- 16:54Speaker 10: Just a couple of months ago, I wanted to send
- 16:57Speaker 10: a message and have you all check on them after
- 17:00Speaker 10: Canada went out in the World Cup. I didn't want
- 17:02Speaker 10: to rub it in really drives home the fact that
- 17:06Speaker 10: maybe it's always a good idea just to send that message.
- 17:09Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 17:09Speaker 10: Just to check on folks.
- 17:11Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:11Speaker 3: I think that's, I think what Megan's message to us
- 17:15Speaker 3: sort of, you know, reiterated the point that you just
- 17:18Speaker 3: gotta keep checking on people, you know, make sure that
- 17:20Speaker 3: your friends and your family and the people that you
- 17:23Speaker 3: love and you take care of, you know, they're doing
- 17:26Speaker 3: okay too. And somebody needs to reach out and talk,
- 17:29Speaker 3: be the kind of person that, is available for that.
- 17:33Speaker 3: And to, you know, if somebody's got, we all go
- 17:35Speaker 3: through rough spots in life and hopefully you could be
- 17:38Speaker 3: a good enough family member, friend to help pull somebody
- 17:42Speaker 3: through a dark time they might be going through. But listen,
- 17:45Speaker 3: it's not all just sadness and, you know, It's not
- 17:51Speaker 3: all that, because right around 7 o'clock here is when
- 17:54Speaker 3: we like to do Today in Freak Show History, and
- 17:57Speaker 3: I think maybe the funniest segment we ever had on
- 18:02Speaker 3: our show that involved Canadian bacon Brandon had to do with.
- 18:09Speaker 2: With beavers.
- 18:10Speaker 3: So for today in Freak Show history, let's remember our
- 18:13Speaker 3: buddy Canadian Bacon Brandon.
- 18:15Speaker 2: Here we go.
- 18:15Speaker 3: Today in Freak Show history.
- 18:19Speaker 2: Today in.
- 18:23Speaker 10: Freak Show history.
- 18:27Speaker 3: Mickey, Bob.
- 18:29Speaker 2: Canadian Bacon Brandon here. Oh, Canadian Bacon Brandon. Catching up
- 18:33Speaker 2: on podcast this week and hearing a lot of animal
- 18:36Speaker 2: mating noises.
- 18:37Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 18:38Speaker 3: That's every week. Every week you're going to hear animal
- 18:40Speaker 3: mating noises on our show.
- 18:41Speaker 2: Did you know that the Canadian national animal is the beaver?
- 18:45Speaker 3: I didn't know that. Is that their animal up there?
- 18:49Speaker 2: I did not know.
- 18:50Speaker 3: It's a beaver?
- 18:50Speaker 2: I guess so. All right. Can you fact check that
- 18:53Speaker 2: for me?
- 18:54Speaker 3: He's Canadian, Mark. You think he wouldn't know?
- 18:57Speaker 2: Yeah, you're right. I get Canadian bacon brand in here.
- 19:00Speaker 1: All right.
- 19:00Speaker 2: Yeah, you're right. Beaver. And to quote raccoon Tim, if
- 19:04Speaker 2: you need any Canadian beaver. get you as many as you.
- 19:07Speaker 3: Want oh wow all right so if we got a
- 19:09Speaker 3: hankering for canadian beaver can you get that over the
- 19:12Speaker 3: border though i don't know i think we got to
- 19:14Speaker 3: stay in canada for a while no we can't be
- 19:18Speaker 3: no we can't be crossing the border with with beaver
- 19:23Speaker 3: no we can't be doing that man you think we.
- 19:25Speaker 2: Are sunny dong oh and we should probably do some
- 19:28Speaker 2: beaver mating.
- 19:28Speaker 3: Noises now no we can't do beaver i don't think
- 19:31Speaker 3: i have beaver mating noises I just have this six-second
- 19:35Speaker 3: clip of audio just labeled beaver farts. When have we
- 19:38Speaker 3: ever played beaver farts on the show? I don't even
- 19:40Speaker 3: remember this, but I don't have beaver mating.
- 19:42Speaker 2: I just have beaver farts. come on it's not that wet.
- 19:52Speaker 3: Well it's the beaver you know they're probably in the
- 19:55Speaker 3: process of building the dam and ew it's like their
- 19:58Speaker 3: butts halfway in the water halfway out of the water
- 20:01Speaker 3: that's what it sounds like there you know motorboating yeah
- 20:04Speaker 3: you're right it does sound like motorboat a little bit
- 20:09Speaker 3: squishy we just got all right hold on let's just
- 20:16Speaker 3: you could have told me that was beaver mating too
- 20:18Speaker 3: and i would have believed it like.
- 20:18Speaker 2: Wow all right no that's not no In this national animal.
- 20:30Speaker 3: Show some respect. Did somebody from Western Canada just request
- 20:34Speaker 3: beaver mating noises? And we were just like, don't got that.
- 20:37Speaker 3: Best we can do is beaver farts for you.
- 20:39Speaker 4: Sorry.
- 20:42Speaker 2: Hey, I want.
- 20:43Speaker 3: To give everybody the opportunity to make it on the
- 20:46Speaker 3: show today and bring some positivity. Around 7.55, we're going
- 20:50Speaker 3: to do a round to say something nice. That's when
- 20:52Speaker 3: you get on our free iHeartRadio app, send us a
- 20:54Speaker 3: talkback message with just something positive and say something nice.
- 20:58Speaker 3: We'll get to that around 7.55 here on 96.1 KISS.
- 21:02Speaker 3: It is Mikey and Bob. You know that penguin season
- 21:06Speaker 3: is right around the corner. When Sidney Crosby and the
- 21:10Speaker 3: boys are out there delivering the season tickets to some
- 21:13Speaker 3: very lucky season ticket holders.
- 21:15Speaker 2: Showing up to the front door.
- 21:16Speaker 3: Now, of course, our all-time favorite moment is years and
- 21:19Speaker 3: years ago when Evgeny Malkin was delivering season tickets to
- 21:22Speaker 3: one of the Penguin season ticket holders and saw a
- 21:25Speaker 3: cat and just asked, whose name's this guy?
- 21:27Speaker 2: Nice to meet you, Evgeny.
- 21:28Speaker 3: How's name is guy?
- 21:30Speaker 6: Wow, that's dad. That's Lucky.
- 21:34Speaker 2: Lucky?
- 21:34Speaker 6: Lucky, hi.
- 21:35Speaker 2: Lucky? Lucky, hi. Gino's very excited about Lucky the Cat.
- 21:40Speaker 2: Lucky the Cat.
- 21:41Speaker 3: Still our favorite little moment there from Penguins doing their
- 21:44Speaker 3: season ticket delivery. Why don't every team should do that,
- 21:48Speaker 3: by the way? Yeah, yeah. Like every pro team should
- 21:51Speaker 3: send guys out to a couple houses.
- 21:53Speaker 2: It's the best.
- 21:54Speaker 3: If Sidney Crosby shows up to your house delivering season tickets,
- 21:58Speaker 3: you'll never forget that for the rest of your life.
- 22:00Speaker 3: Sidney Crosby was out yesterday delivering tickets, just talking about
- 22:04Speaker 3: the fans, you know?
- 22:05Speaker 2: I think.
- 22:07Speaker 13: every time we do it i think you just recognize
- 22:09Speaker 13: the pride that people have and hearing their stories how
- 22:12Speaker 13: long they've had tickets for or how they got connected
- 22:15Speaker 13: to to go into games and things like that uh
- 22:18Speaker 13: it's fun to hear that but just you always feel
- 22:20Speaker 13: the support that's that's the main thing and uh i
- 22:23Speaker 13: think it's a pretty cool event that we've been able
- 22:25Speaker 13: to do here for a long time and uh yeah
- 22:28Speaker 13: it does never get old i think from that standpoint.
- 22:30Speaker 3: Now sydney crosby's deal's not up right now or anything
- 22:33Speaker 3: like that obviously he's with the penguins he's not a
- 22:35Speaker 3: free agent but they're supposedly maybe working on a new deal,
- 22:40Speaker 3: keeping Sidney Crosby in Pittsburgh for the rest of his career.
- 22:43Speaker 2: He was asked about that.
- 22:44Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know. I'm just going to let Pat
- 22:46Speaker 3: and Kyle figure that out.
- 22:47Speaker 2: Okay, listen, we got to stop doing this. I don't know.
- 22:50Speaker 3: We got to stop doing this as pro athletes acting like,
- 22:53Speaker 3: I don't know the future.
- 22:54Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 22:55Speaker 3: How can I know what I'm asking for? Somebody's offering
- 22:58Speaker 3: millions of dollars, Sidney Crosby.
- 23:00Speaker 2: I don't know. I just let my agent and Kyle Dubas...
- 23:05Speaker 2: handle this.
- 23:05Speaker 3: It's like, no, he should be just been like, well,
- 23:08Speaker 3: it's 8.7 million per year. So it's up to them
- 23:11Speaker 3: how many more they want to pay me.
- 23:13Speaker 6: Exactly.
- 23:14Speaker 2: That's the price. It doesn't change for Sam.
- 23:17Speaker 3: I know salaries are going up, but also 8.7 million
- 23:22Speaker 3: a year. It's like the player tells the agent what
- 23:25Speaker 3: they want. The agent tells the team We love Sidney Crosby,
- 23:29Speaker 3: but the whole, I'm just a caveman. I don't know
- 23:32Speaker 3: what's going on here.
- 23:33Speaker 4: Money?
- 23:34Speaker 2: Contract?
- 23:35Speaker 3: What? They pay me to play hockey?
- 23:37Speaker 2: What?
- 23:39Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know.
- 23:39Speaker 13: I'm just going to let Pat and Kyle figure that out.
- 23:41Speaker 13: But yeah, I wouldn't say there's a hard timeline. I
- 23:45Speaker 13: think it's just, like I said before, I think at
- 23:48Speaker 13: this point in my career, It's hard to project how
- 23:51Speaker 13: long I'm going to play for, but I think it's
- 23:53Speaker 13: just something that I'll see what happens there.
- 23:56Speaker 3: I saw the Penguins put a picture on their Instagram
- 23:59Speaker 3: where Sid was signing a note for a little girl
- 24:03Speaker 3: for school. Oh, the school note? The school note was awesome.
- 24:06Speaker 3: He had his head bent down and he was signing it.
- 24:08Speaker 3: I was just looking at his hair and I'm like, damn, dude.
- 24:11Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 24:12Speaker 3: We're getting old, Sid. Sid's been around. He's been around.
- 24:17Speaker 3: He's a gray-weathered man now.
- 24:19Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 24:20Speaker 3: He did fine wine, though. That's what I'm saying. It's
- 24:24Speaker 3: a nice thing. It's not like, ah, he's getting old.
- 24:27Speaker 3: It's like, oh, man, he's old.
- 24:28Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah.
- 24:29Speaker 2: He's getting older, but he still kick your ass.
- 24:32Speaker 3: Salt-N-Pepa Sid. Salt-N-Pepa Sid out with those tickets. Everybody, guess what?
- 24:38Speaker 3: Penguins hockey back in our lives. Training camp open to
- 24:43Speaker 3: the public. 845 at the Lemieux Complex. Otten Cranberry on Thursday.
- 24:50Speaker 4: 96.1.
- 24:50Speaker 5: Kiss.
- 24:56Speaker 3: That's baby doll Dominic Fike. It's Mikey and Bob here
- 24:59Speaker 3: on 96.1 KISS. Let's get to this talkback message brought
- 25:01Speaker 3: to us by The Pavement Group. Morning, guys.
- 25:03Speaker 8: Hey, Jamie, the SLP here. Not sure if you noticed
- 25:07Speaker 8: that there is a super load moving through Pennsylvania, and
- 25:11Speaker 8: the news gave some driving tips of how to avoid it,
- 25:15Speaker 8: and there are some great Facebook comments if you guys
- 25:19Speaker 8: want to check that out on PXI Facebook page.
- 25:23Speaker 5: Happy birthday, Bob.
- 25:24Speaker 3: Okay, it's not Bob's birthday. That's New Year's Day.
- 25:27Speaker 2: I'm on PXI right now.
- 25:29Speaker 3: Super loading. Mega load trucks expected to disrupt traffic beginning
- 25:34Speaker 3: traveling on Wednesday. Is there a difference between the mega
- 25:37Speaker 3: load and the super load?
- 25:39Speaker 2: I don't think so.
- 25:39Speaker 3: I think it's all how you describe your loads.
- 25:42Speaker 2: Are these multiple trucks, too?
- 25:44Speaker 3: Drivers on 22 and Delmont make it stock Wednesday. With
- 25:49Speaker 3: the megaload trucks heading from the Armstrong Terminal to Homer
- 25:53Speaker 3: City to make their way along the busy highway.
- 25:56Speaker 2: Oh, my God.
- 25:56Speaker 3: Stuck in super load traffic.
- 25:58Speaker 2: You don't want to be.
- 25:59Speaker 6: Oh, geez.
- 25:59Speaker 3: You don't want to be. You know what? When we
- 26:02Speaker 3: leave the station, because we leave here early afternoon, obviously.
- 26:06Speaker 3: We work in the morning. There's always the oversized loads.
- 26:11Speaker 3: They're all over the place. I've never seen a super load, though.
- 26:14Speaker 3: Middle of the afternoon, that's oversized load time to get
- 26:18Speaker 3: out there.
- 26:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I've never seen anything like that.
- 26:21Speaker 3: I guess they got big things for power plants and
- 26:23Speaker 3: data centers and stuff like that that they're going to
- 26:26Speaker 3: be driving. Watch out for the super load or the
- 26:28Speaker 3: mega load. Bob's in the Facebook comments already. I'm going
- 26:31Speaker 3: to take a look. I'm going to take a look.
- 26:33Speaker 3: Right now, though, Bob, it is time to check in
- 26:35Speaker 3: with Florida. There is always weird things happening down in
- 26:38Speaker 3: the state of Florida. Florida Story has been a staple
- 26:40Speaker 3: of our show for years. Now, here we go. Attention
- 26:45Speaker 3: all listeners of The Freak Show.
- 26:46Speaker 14: It's time to travel to the Sunshine State. Yes, it
- 26:50Speaker 14: happened again.
- 26:51Speaker 3: It's another Florida Story.
- 26:53Speaker 2: Down to Florida we go. 50-year-old Florida woman. She should
- 26:57Speaker 2: know better.
- 26:58Speaker 3: 50?
- 26:59Speaker 2: You should know better. I'm 50. You should know better
- 27:02Speaker 2: if you're 50.
- 27:03Speaker 3: 50-year-old Florida woman came to her neighbor's door and accused
- 27:08Speaker 3: her neighbor of having an affair with her husband.
- 27:10Speaker 6: Whoa.
- 27:12Speaker 3: That's when she allegedly forced her way into the woman's home.
- 27:17Speaker 2: Again, accused her of sleeping.
- 27:19Speaker 3: With my man.
- 27:20Speaker 2: You're just busting through the door? Yep, busting through the
- 27:23Speaker 2: door saying, you sleep with my husband?
- 27:25Speaker 3: You're 50, you know you can't just come through somebody's
- 27:27Speaker 3: door like that. Yep, she pounded on the neighbor's door
- 27:30Speaker 3: and pushed her way inside and.
- 27:32Speaker 2: Had a bucket of poop with her. No.
- 27:37Speaker 3: A bucket of poop?
- 27:39Speaker 2: There's always a point in Florida stories where it takes
- 27:41Speaker 2: the floor to turn. There it is. Choose your weapon.
- 27:44Speaker 2: There it is.
- 27:44Speaker 3: Bucket of poop. She hurled the contents of the bucket
- 27:51Speaker 3: at the woman and left. oh no authorities say the
- 27:55Speaker 3: attack was premeditated you.
- 27:57Speaker 2: Think i don't think bucket of poop's just hanging out.
- 28:00Speaker 3: The defendant stated to the witness that she pooped in
- 28:03Speaker 3: a bucket to throw it in the victim's face she
- 28:05Speaker 3: allegedly told police that her toilet.
- 28:07Speaker 2: Was broken forcing her to use the bucket.
- 28:09Speaker 3: Officer you got this all wrong she's just trying to
- 28:11Speaker 3: get rid of the poop that was it i got
- 28:13Speaker 3: bad pipes at the house and it was just getting
- 28:15Speaker 3: rid of the poop bucket yeah no she was making
- 28:17Speaker 3: a weapon That's like basically making a prison shank down
- 28:21Speaker 3: in Florida, the poop bucket.
- 28:22Speaker 2: You always got to have it ready.
- 28:23Speaker 3: She denied ever entering the neighbor's home and throwing anything
- 28:28Speaker 3: at her. Okay, well, how does... Is there poop all
- 28:30Speaker 3: over the house? There's poop on your neighbor?
- 28:32Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 28:33Speaker 2: All right, then. You're going to jail.
- 28:35Speaker 3: She was charged with burglary of an occupied dwelling and battery.
- 28:40Speaker 4: Yep.
- 28:40Speaker 3: Hey, you cheated with my husband. Stay away from my man.
- 28:44Speaker 3: And then she threw a bucket of poop at her. Florida,
- 28:48Speaker 3: making the show once again. Hey, we got our Thursday
- 28:58Speaker 3: night game at Akershire. Pitt's taking on Syracuse. Those Thursday
- 29:02Speaker 3: night games always feel weird, but the vibes are always
- 29:04Speaker 3: pretty good for them. Thursday night, Pitt taking on Syracuse
- 29:07Speaker 3: at Akershire. It is Mikey and Bob here on 96.1 KISS.
- 29:12Speaker 2: I'm down. I'm down the wormhole. I'm down the wormhole.
- 29:17Speaker 8: What?
- 29:18Speaker 3: I mean, when Taylor Swift's on the Emmys doing a
- 29:21Speaker 3: Law & Order SVU skit. And here we go. And
- 29:24Speaker 3: she looks at the camera and says words.
- 29:26Speaker 12: I think what we're going to be looking for is
- 29:29Speaker 12: hiding in plain sight.
- 29:31Speaker 2: Saccharide Ares from the vineyard.
- 29:34Speaker 5: North or south.
- 29:36Speaker 3: Let me tell you, Saccharide, I've never heard this word before, really.
- 29:40Speaker 3: I mean, maybe I have. I don't know what it means.
- 29:42Speaker 3: You know what saccharide means? Yeah, sugars, man. Building blocks
- 29:46Speaker 3: of sugars.
- 29:47Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 29:48Speaker 1: Yep.
- 29:49Speaker 3: You okay? I mean, a lot of people are thinking
- 29:53Speaker 3: the building blocks, that's going to be debut album. That's
- 29:56Speaker 3: the building blocks to the rest of her careers, but also...
- 29:59Speaker 3: You know something's coming, right?
- 30:01Speaker 6: Oh, me?
- 30:02Speaker 3: Me?
- 30:03Speaker 2: Yeah. Me, I do, yeah.
- 30:06Speaker 3: I'm trying to warn everybody else that something's coming so
- 30:09Speaker 3: we can all prepare. Tell me about the building blocks,
- 30:14Speaker 3: I guess, then.
- 30:15Speaker 2: Sakurai? Yeah, yeah. Well, there's also a theory that sugar is.
- 30:22Speaker 2: An actual song.
- 30:23Speaker 3: Oh, wow. Because some Swifties have known about Sugar. Sugar
- 30:27Speaker 3: was a love song that she did for her first
- 30:29Speaker 3: album all the way back in 2003. Basically, some fans
- 30:33Speaker 3: are saying the saccharide means sugar. and that's going to
- 30:36Speaker 3: be a song from debut album. But all the talk on.
- 30:41Speaker 2: The Emmys and the Law & Order SVU.
- 30:43Speaker 3: Skit was about TV. It's been TV the whole time.
- 30:48Speaker 3: TV don't mean TV. It means Taylor's version, right?
- 30:51Speaker 2: Like, we know that.
- 30:52Speaker 3: That seems to be an obvious one, right? But then,
- 30:57Speaker 3: you know, she's talking about Sakurai, and then she.
- 31:00Speaker 6: Throws in some.
- 31:03Speaker 2: Okay, let me talk about Aries for a minute here, okay?
- 31:06Speaker 6: Okay, go ahead.
- 31:07Speaker 3: All right, go ahead. Because Aries, of course, we found
- 31:11Speaker 3: out Aries season March 20th to April 19th. Maybe she's pregnant.
- 31:15Speaker 3: Maybe that's around a due date. We don't know about that,
- 31:17Speaker 3: but also... You think she denounced it during... That's the
- 31:20Speaker 3: youth skit. No, some people are saying that that's going
- 31:23Speaker 3: to be like about the time when debut Taylor's version
- 31:27Speaker 3: comes back, like in the springtime.
- 31:29Speaker 2: So that's maybe what they're thinking there. From the vineyard,
- 31:32Speaker 2: north or south.
- 31:33Speaker 3: Okay, from the vineyard, a lot of people are just
- 31:35Speaker 3: thinking that's from the vault. Okay, like from the vineyard,
- 31:38Speaker 3: from the vault, we're going to get vault tracks everywhere.
- 31:41Speaker 3: Of course, when she was re-recording her album, she was like, hey,
- 31:43Speaker 3: here's five really good songs that I never put out.
- 31:46Speaker 2: Here they are.
- 31:46Speaker 3: So saying From the Vineyard was really From the Vault.
- 31:51Speaker 3: Some people are thinking the whole Vault album is going
- 31:54Speaker 3: to come. Be like, hey, here's a bunch of songs
- 31:55Speaker 3: I never put on the album. Here you go.
- 31:57Speaker 2: That could be From the.
- 31:58Speaker 3: Vault or From the Vineyard. There's a lot of stuff
- 32:02Speaker 3: going on here, though, Bob. Wasn't there something with the
- 32:04Speaker 3: clock or something? Yeah, there's some numbers going on with Taylor. Also,
- 32:12Speaker 3: North or South. A lot of people are saying that
- 32:15Speaker 3: would be North and South Dakota. Dakota Johnson hosting SNL
- 32:19Speaker 3: on October 3rd.
- 32:20Speaker 2: She's Taylor's friend.
- 32:21Speaker 8: I don't know.
- 32:23Speaker 3: North and South Dakota, by the way, Dakota Johnson, by
- 32:26Speaker 3: the way, Taylor's friend. Oh, October 3rd. That's when Dakota
- 32:30Speaker 3: Johnson's hosting SNL.
- 32:31Speaker 2: Okay, cool. October 3rd. October's the 10th month. Yes. 10
- 32:39Speaker 2: plus three.
- 32:41Speaker 3: Taylor's number.
- 32:49Speaker 2: I'd say October 3rd might be something to watch. We'll see, though.
- 32:53Speaker 3: Hey, she's going to put out music because she's Taylor
- 32:57Speaker 3: Swift and that's what she does.
- 32:58Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 32:59Speaker 3: She's just giving us little clues to try and figure
- 33:03Speaker 3: it out ourselves.
- 33:04Speaker 2: We can never figure it out ourselves.
- 33:05Speaker 9: No.
- 33:05Speaker 2: We never figure it out ourselves.
- 33:06Speaker 3: Rarely ever figure it out.
- 33:08Speaker 4: No.
- 33:08Speaker 3: Like, North and South is just going to be like, oh,
- 33:10Speaker 3: it's because Taylor meant up and down.
- 33:12Speaker 2: You just told me like 20 different things. Yeah.
- 33:15Speaker 3: And it ended with... Dakota Johnson hosting SNL. Hey, careful, man.
- 33:21Speaker 3: Watch out. Something's cooking here with Taylor Swift and none
- 33:24Speaker 3: of us have any clue what it is. All right,
- 33:26Speaker 3: we're going to do a round to say something nice
- 33:28Speaker 3: coming up around 7.55. Wiz Khalifa tickets around 8.30. It's
- 33:32Speaker 3: Mikey and Bob.

- 34:35Speaker 5: Hey, Mikey and big Bob. This is Ashley. Hey, I
- 34:37Speaker 5: just want to say I've been listening to your show
- 34:39Speaker 5: for at least 10 years and now I've been driving
- 34:42Speaker 5: my daughter and her friend to middle school.
- 34:45Speaker 2: Okay.
- 34:45Speaker 5: Every morning listening to your show and they were all
- 34:48Speaker 5: nervous about picture day this morning.
- 34:49Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 34:50Speaker 5: And they got to hear the Florida bucket of poo lady,
- 34:54Speaker 5: and that cracked them up. So I told them to
- 34:56Speaker 5: think about that when they got their photo taken today
- 35:00Speaker 5: for picture day. So thanks for the laugh this morning.
- 35:03Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 35:03Speaker 3: Bye. Guaranteed smiles when you're about to get your picture
- 35:06Speaker 3: taken for school picture day.
- 35:08Speaker 2: A little nervous, a little awkward, middle school, you know?
- 35:10Speaker 3: And then you just think in your head, wow, a
- 35:13Speaker 3: lady down in Florida.
- 35:14Speaker 2: Used a bucket of poop as a weapon.
- 35:16Speaker 3: Smile, team!
- 35:18Speaker 2: That's great. Yeah, it's awesome.
- 35:20Speaker 3: Just trying to make everybody's morning commute a little bit better.
- 35:24Speaker 2: It's time to say something nice, Bob. This is where
- 35:26Speaker 2: you can.
- 35:26Speaker 3: Send us talkback messages through the free iHeartRadio app or
- 35:29Speaker 3: call the show if you've got something nice to say
- 35:32Speaker 3: about someone or something. Say something nice. Say something nice.
- 35:40Speaker 6: Mikey, Bob, Matt, Bridgeville. Hey. Hey, I'm over here in
- 35:44Speaker 6: Hershey pre-gaming for Iron Maiden.
- 35:47Speaker 3: Hold on one second here. We got a dude that
- 35:51Speaker 3: was pre-gaming the Iron Maiden.
- 35:54Speaker 2: Show in Hershey? How and why does this guy listen
- 35:58Speaker 2: to our show? Iron Maiden and us?
- 36:00Speaker 3: I love it.
- 36:01Speaker 6: And I just wanted to say thank you guys. Because sometimes,
- 36:05Speaker 6: most times... Life can be miserable. Yeah, yeah. But when
- 36:09Speaker 6: I listen to the podcast, life is still miserable. Oh, yeah, yeah.
- 36:13Speaker 6: But at least we get animal mating sounds.
- 36:15Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah.
- 36:16Speaker 6: And that's funny.
- 36:16Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 36:17Speaker 6: Let's go, Buccos. You know what?
- 36:18Speaker 2: He's right. Life can be pretty awful.
- 36:22Speaker 3: If you're listening to the podcast, life is still awful.
- 36:25Speaker 3: His favorite things are Mike and Bob, animal mating, and
- 36:29Speaker 3: Iron Maiden.
- 36:30Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 36:34Speaker 3: Say something nice. Say something nice.
- 36:37Speaker 2: Checks out. It checks out. It's Dawn from Trafford.
- 36:40Speaker 11: Hey, Mikey and Big Bob, Dawn from Trafford. I wanted
- 36:44Speaker 11: to call in today with my boo-wee.
- 36:46Speaker 3: Say something nice.
- 36:48Speaker 11: Say something nice. Say something nice. I'm a cardio drum instructor.
- 36:53Speaker 11: I've been doing it for a little over a year now,
- 36:55Speaker 11: taking classes for a little bit over two years. I
- 36:58Speaker 11: was invited to go to a lady's class today and
- 37:02Speaker 11: Alice is 81 years old and she started doing cardio drumming.
- 37:06Speaker 11: She took the time to make me feel comfortable. She
- 37:09Speaker 11: took the time to make me feel welcome. And I
- 37:13Speaker 11: just love it.
- 37:14Speaker 6: Oh, man.
- 37:15Speaker 3: Shout out to 81-year-old Alice ripping it up, cardio drumming.
- 37:20Speaker 4: Woo!
- 37:21Speaker 1: Alice.
- 37:22Speaker 3: Alice was also playing drums for Iron Maiden the night before. <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL>
- 37:56Speaker 3: You know, first few weeks as an analyst on NBC,
- 37:59Speaker 3: we'll get to that. Also, Bob has gotten mega load
- 38:03Speaker 3: Facebook comments. There's some sort of super load mega load delivery.
- 38:07Speaker 3: That's going to really rip up traffic route 22 and
- 38:11Speaker 3: Delmont just super low day stuff coming through. We have
- 38:16Speaker 3: local news, Facebook comments about it around eight 25 whiz
- 38:19Speaker 3: tickets around eight 30.
- 38:20Speaker 2: It's Mikey and Bob.
- 38:24Speaker 3: I absolutely love situations like this bob where uh it
- 38:28Speaker 3: it seems like such a small thing there is a
- 38:30Speaker 3: mega load that's going to be going on uh route
- 38:34Speaker 3: 22 later today sort of like through delmont area big
- 38:37Speaker 3: things that are needed for power plants and data centers
- 38:40Speaker 3: and the local news facebook comments about a mega load
- 38:45Speaker 3: coming through the area will be happening on the show
- 38:48Speaker 3: next around uh Right now, though, Bob, I just hope
- 38:53Speaker 3: you're ready to milk again, bud, because the Steelers are.
- 38:56Speaker 6: One to know.
- 38:58Speaker 3: They're going to New England on Sunday, and it's time
- 39:01Speaker 3: to milk some Steelers content.
- 39:04Speaker 2: With our guy, Cam Hayward.
- 39:08Speaker 3: Milk, milk, milk, milk, milk the Steelers content.
- 39:12Speaker 2: Milk, milk, milk, milk, milk the Steelers content.
- 39:15Speaker 3: Cam Hayward was on the Rich Eisen show yesterday talking
- 39:20Speaker 3: about getting that first win for Mike McCarthy, giving him
- 39:24Speaker 3: the game ball, of course, Greenfield.
- 39:27Speaker 6: He was a little bit emotional.
- 39:29Speaker 4: It's always been his dream to be the Pittsburgh Steelers
- 39:32Speaker 4: head coach, and that win is going to mean a lot,
- 39:34Speaker 4: and I think every player knew that. It's just unbelievable,
- 39:37Speaker 4: and we were happy to get that win for him,
- 39:40Speaker 4: and hopefully we can deliver a lot more game balls
- 39:42Speaker 4: to him.
- 39:42Speaker 5: Oh, yeah.
- 39:44Speaker 3: Listen, honeymoon's over, though. It's all about winning right now.
- 39:48Speaker 3: All the Inzer stuff, it's all worn off. And now
- 39:51Speaker 3: it's like we know he's one of us. Now he's
- 39:54Speaker 3: just got to bring... Well, you know, I want to
- 39:57Speaker 3: say the seventh Lombardi. But I just want to say...
- 40:01Speaker 3: Get to that second level at a playoffs.
- 40:04Speaker 6: You know?
- 40:04Speaker 2: Do a little bit better.
- 40:07Speaker 3: Super Bowl parade through Greenfield.
- 40:10Speaker 2: I mean.
- 40:10Speaker 3: Would be the greatest thing.
- 40:13Speaker 2: He said it.
- 40:15Speaker 3: People would not be okay. I mean, people wouldn't be okay.
- 40:18Speaker 3: Public safety would be in tatters. It'd be one of
- 40:23Speaker 3: the greatest days in our city ever. Milk, milk, milk, milk,
- 40:28Speaker 3: milk the Steelers content.
- 40:30Speaker 2: Milk, milk, milk, milk, milk the Steelers content.
- 40:34Speaker 3: Cam Hayward on the Rich Eisen shows asked about Coach
- 40:37Speaker 3: Tomlin and how he's doing on NBC.
- 40:41Speaker 2: Did you see Mike T on Sunday night?
- 40:43Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 40:44Speaker 4: Mike T is sneak dissing everywhere.
- 40:46Speaker 3: I love it.
- 40:46Speaker 2: Yeah, Mike Tomlin quote.
- 40:48Speaker 3: Yeah, Mike Tomlin is sneak dissing like Cam said. Here's
- 40:52Speaker 3: Rich Eisen with the quote. Not sure if you caught
- 40:55Speaker 3: this on Sunday night when he was doing Browns highlights.
- 40:57Speaker 2: Over the Browns Jaguars highlights, which were all Jaguars.
- 41:00Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 41:00Speaker 2: In the words of my friend Juju Smith-Schuster, the Browns
- 41:03Speaker 2: is the Browns.
- 41:04Speaker 3: All right, so that's Coach Tomlin on a national stage
- 41:07Speaker 3: just saying.
- 41:07Speaker 2: Hey, the Browns is the Browns.
- 41:11Speaker 3: It's fine.
- 41:12Speaker 2: We hear that all the time in Pittsburgh.
- 41:15Speaker 3: Having a former Steelers coach now on a national stage saying, hey,
- 41:19Speaker 3: the bronze is the bronze, you know?
- 41:20Speaker 4: It's so funny to hear Mike T just quoting other
- 41:24Speaker 4: Steelers and going on these tangents. I'm like, wow, you've
- 41:27Speaker 4: just been waiting to have this time and this open
- 41:30Speaker 4: forum to go down this rabbit hole of Steelers quotes.
- 41:34Speaker 4: As many times he would tell us to just shut up,
- 41:36Speaker 4: now he's able to go out there and just say
- 41:38Speaker 4: what he wants.
- 41:38Speaker 3: I mean, he's getting paid a lot of money now
- 41:40Speaker 3: to say what he wants as we... Milk, milk, milk, milk,
- 41:44Speaker 3: milk the Steelers content.
- 41:46Speaker 1: Milk, milk, milk, milk.
- 41:47Speaker 3: Milk the Steelers content. All right, we're reading local news,
- 41:51Speaker 3: Facebook comments about a mega load that's coming through Route
- 41:55Speaker 3: 22 today and Wiz Khalifa tickets around 830. It's Mikey
- 41:59Speaker 3: and Bob.
- 42:00Speaker 4: 96.1.
- 42:00Speaker 2: Kiss.
- 42:02Speaker 3: Get caught up with our Mikey and Bob podcast brought
- 42:04Speaker 3: to us by the C. Harper Auto Group on the
- 42:06Speaker 3: free iHeartRadio app. It is Mikey and Bob on 96.1 KISS,
- 42:11Speaker 3: the local news headline, super low delivery. Mega load trucks
- 42:15Speaker 3: are expected to disrupt traffic in western PA today. Looks
- 42:19Speaker 3: like Route 22 in Delmont. You might get stuck behind
- 42:23Speaker 3: some big trucks going from the Armstrong Terminal to Homer City.
- 42:27Speaker 3: I saw the truck loads like 200 feet long. That's crazy.
- 42:31Speaker 3: It's going to be a disaster for traffic. A lot
- 42:33Speaker 3: of equipment for a new power plant and data center.
- 42:36Speaker 2: Like at points just going as low as five miles
- 42:39Speaker 2: an hour. Yeah, yeah.
- 42:40Speaker 3: It's going to be a mess. And then we read
- 42:42Speaker 3: the local news Facebook comment section about it.
- 42:44Speaker 8: Oh, no.
- 42:47Speaker 1: Dark place on the internet it's time for 96 one

- 44:00Speaker 3: Hey, this is a serious traffic matter.
- 44:02Speaker 2: Frank K.
- 44:03Speaker 3: Moved this overnight. Why are they moving this during the
- 44:06Speaker 3: day and screwing up traffic? You see a guy with
- 44:09Speaker 3: a beard in a white Honda flipping you off today.
- 44:14Speaker 3: It's me, you clowns.
- 44:17Speaker 2: Steve K.
- 44:17Speaker 3: In local news Facebook comments here about a Super load
- 44:22Speaker 3: delivery coming through the area.
- 44:24Speaker 2: It's going to screw up traffic. Stephen K. I've been
- 44:27Speaker 2: trucking 42 years. Hell yeah. Let me tell you. Honk, honk.
- 44:31Speaker 3: You see a big yellow truck pulled over on a
- 44:33Speaker 3: side of the road in the daytime. Just to know
- 44:36Speaker 3: I'm in.
- 44:36Speaker 2: The back of that thing.
- 44:37Speaker 3: I know.
- 44:38Speaker 2: Dropping off a super load of poop into a garbage bag.
- 44:42Speaker 3: There's no need for that. Is that what truckers do
- 44:45Speaker 3: when they pull off during the daytime?
- 44:47Speaker 2: Angela, see, I work out on 22.
- 44:49Speaker 4: Okay.
- 44:49Speaker 3: Traffic's going to keep business away all day. My boss
- 44:53Speaker 3: said we're just setting up chairs and sitting in the
- 44:55Speaker 3: parking lot and going to.
- 44:57Speaker 2: Watch it all roll through.
- 44:58Speaker 3: I even bought snacks for the Superload parade.
- 45:03Speaker 2: It's not a parade, though.
- 45:05Speaker 3: And one more here.
- 45:05Speaker 2: James W.

- 46:14Speaker 3: Yeah, yes!
- 46:14Speaker 6: You're lying!
- 46:15Speaker 2: New Year's Day is your birthday, Bob! Birthday twins!
- 46:18Speaker 3: Hey, happy birthday to you, and have a great time
- 46:22Speaker 3: at the Wiz Khalifa show. Just hold on one second.
- 46:24Speaker 3: We'll get you all the details, okay? More Wiz Khalifa
- 46:27Speaker 3: tickets coming up around 8.30 tomorrow and Friday here on
- 46:31Speaker 3: 96.1 KISS.
- 46:32Speaker 2: It is Mikey and Bob.
- 46:34Speaker 3: We were talking about the super load, the big, you know,
- 46:36Speaker 3: trucks that are coming through on 22 today and through
- 46:40Speaker 3: the area are going to cause a traffic headache.
- 46:42Speaker 2: At least one trucker is excited for it.
- 46:45Speaker 1: Mikey, Bob, Dan in Pittsburgh.
- 46:48Speaker 10: Happy super load day.
- 46:52Speaker 3: Oh nice man air horning it up dan honking off
- 46:57Speaker 3: for the super load hell yeah dan are all the
- 47:00Speaker 3: truckers pumped up like it's their super bowl like the
- 47:03Speaker 3: super load goes through and they're just like yeah i
- 47:06Speaker 3: feel like you're nervous if you're part of if you're
- 47:08Speaker 3: a trucker and you're part of the super load oh
- 47:10Speaker 3: i was scared yeah just yeah if you're not i
- 47:13Speaker 3: think you.
- 47:13Speaker 2: Just respect the super load you know um.
- 47:17Speaker 3: One person that we really respect, our buddy Bill Crawford,
- 47:22Speaker 3: just a great comedian, does great content, you know, used
- 47:24Speaker 3: to be on DV Morning Show, still a really good
- 47:26Speaker 3: friend to me and Bob's. And I just really hope
- 47:29Speaker 3: that Bill Crawford posts these videos after every Steeler game.
- 47:34Speaker 2: It's so good.
- 47:35Speaker 3: He's like created this thing where he goes back and
- 47:37Speaker 3: forth with himself, himself playing a nebby neighbor. Whether it's
- 47:43Speaker 3: your actual neighbor or a friend or somebody that you
- 47:47Speaker 3: work with, after every Steeler game, everybody knows this person
- 47:54Speaker 3: that wants to tell you everything about the game and
- 47:58Speaker 3: afterwards what was said and all of it.
- 48:01Speaker 2: Here is Bill Crawford.
- 48:03Speaker 7: Coach said TJ's play is going to be a highlight
- 48:06Speaker 7: we're watching for the rest of our life.
- 48:09Speaker 3: Yep.
- 48:10Speaker 7: TJ was a tight end in college.
- 48:11Speaker 3: A lot of people don't know that.
- 48:13Speaker 7: You think you're the only one that watches the press conferences?
- 48:16Speaker 2: Said he doesn't even do the jugs machine.
- 48:19Speaker 6: What?
- 48:20Speaker 7: If I was TJ Watt, I would be the jugs machine.
- 48:25Speaker 7: You know what I'm saying? Coach said he saw TJ
- 48:28Speaker 7: make that same play on Will Howard's tape when he
- 48:30Speaker 7: got hired.
- 48:31Speaker 6: You're saying Will Howard?
- 48:33Speaker 3: Hired when he got hired.
- 48:34Speaker 11: What?
- 48:36Speaker 3: You get hired, shired, and then watch a little hard.
- 48:38Speaker 2: Are you glitching right now? Hard when you get hired.
- 48:41Speaker 3: Hard when you get hired.
- 48:42Speaker 6: Please stop.
- 48:43Speaker 7: Coach said that the defense kept the thermostat right where
- 48:47Speaker 7: it needed to be all day long.
- 48:50Speaker 6: The defense looked great.
- 48:51Speaker 7: The defense might want to turn the thermostat down a
- 48:54Speaker 7: couple notches.
- 48:54Speaker 6: You know what I mean?
- 48:55Speaker 7: There was like three medical emergencies in my section. It
- 48:58Speaker 7: was a metaphor, man. Peepaws and nannies were hitting the deck.
- 49:02Speaker 2: Left and right.
- 49:03Speaker 6: It was really hot.
- 49:05Speaker 7: Hotter than Satan's b-hole after.
- 49:07Speaker 6: The rib cook-off. All right.
- 49:09Speaker 2: Make sure you're following him.
- 49:11Speaker 3: Of course, he does great Pittsburgh content. He's got his podcast,
- 49:15Speaker 3: Bill Crawford Comedy, if you want to look that one
- 49:17Speaker 3: up on IG.
- 49:19Speaker 8: Hey!
- 49:20Speaker 3: We got somebody naked uh locally making the pittsburgh police
- 49:23Speaker 3: scanner we'll get to that around 8 55 and a
- 49:26Speaker 3: man with no nose was arrested down in florida we'll
- 49:30Speaker 3: get to that florida story around 9 40 it's mikey

- 49:38Speaker 3: bear and snakes for being naked outside don't blame it
- 49:42Speaker 3: on the animal they steal his clothes You better pull
- 49:45Speaker 3: your pants down.
- 49:46Speaker 1: Stream the Mikey and Bob podcast on iHeartRadio or wherever
- 49:50Speaker 1: you get your podcasts.
- 49:53Speaker 3: A lot of fall shows are having their premiere. Season
- 49:58Speaker 3: 29 premiere of South.
- 49:59Speaker 2: Park's on Comedy Central tonight. And the season 7 premiere
- 50:03Speaker 2: of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. Oh, wow.
- 50:07Speaker 3: On Bravo tonight. It's Mikey and Bob here on 96.1 KISS.
- 50:13Speaker 3: The first celebrity eliminated last night from Dancing with the Stars.
- 50:18Speaker 3: They kicked off a new season last night. It was
- 50:21Speaker 3: Connor Leavitt.
- 50:22Speaker 8: Hmm.
- 50:24Speaker 3: I don't know who that is.
- 50:25Speaker 2: He's on Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. Okay. All right.
- 50:29Speaker 2: Whitney on that show.
- 50:30Speaker 3: Hey, blind spot for me. Sorry. It's just, you know,
- 50:33Speaker 3: it's the circle of reality TV life. You go on
- 50:36Speaker 3: a show, you make enough impact, then you get famous
- 50:39Speaker 3: enough to go on another reality show. And then it just,
- 50:42Speaker 3: you know, and then you go back for the reunion
- 50:44Speaker 3: of that reality show. And then, you know, you do
- 50:46Speaker 3: appearances based off. It's a whole thing. And then you
- 50:49Speaker 3: become an influencer. I saw they broke voting. There were
- 50:52Speaker 3: so many people voting for Dancing with the Stars.
- 50:55Speaker 2: That's what I heard. That's what I heard.
- 50:59Speaker 3: They broke it.
- 51:00Speaker 2: They broke it. All right. Sure. Oh, we couldn't handle it. Yeah.
- 51:06Speaker 3: Well, Dancing with the Stars is back, too. Bob, it's
- 51:09Speaker 3: time to check in with the Pittsburgh Police Scanner account.
- 51:11Speaker 3: I really appreciate the people who run this account because
- 51:16Speaker 3: it's an all-day thing. It's what they do. They listen
- 51:18Speaker 3: to the Pittsburgh Police Scanner. They've gotten just great traction
- 51:23Speaker 3: on social media, making their accounts. They got their own website.
- 51:26Speaker 3: They sell merch, pgh-scanner.com. It is time to check in
- 51:30Speaker 3: with the Pittsburgh Police Scanner account. Find out what is
- 51:33Speaker 3: happening next. In and around our city, Brighton Heights, California Ave.
- 51:40Speaker 3: Cops said that they were waved down because a complainant
- 51:44Speaker 3: saw a streaker. I don't know if I would even...
- 51:51Speaker 3: think to call the police if i saw a naked
- 51:53Speaker 3: person which is a weird thing to say because that's
- 51:56Speaker 3: absolutely the first move you should make you don't want
- 51:58Speaker 3: to confront a naked person they streak or did they
- 52:01Speaker 3: have shoes on and were running like or was it
- 52:04Speaker 3: like i don't know why you asked me for these
- 52:06Speaker 3: details that you know i don't have kind of putting
- 52:08Speaker 3: it out in the universe like if somebody's just out
- 52:11Speaker 3: there running and enjoying the day and getting some sun
- 52:14Speaker 3: on places where the sun don't shine yeah while still
- 52:17Speaker 3: illegal yeah that's not bothering no it is bothering people
- 52:21Speaker 3: though yeah it is it's bothering a lot of people
- 52:24Speaker 3: it's bothering me can't be out there just flippy flopping
- 52:28Speaker 3: around when you're on your run man also running you
- 52:30Speaker 3: need some support i would think and you just need
- 52:33Speaker 3: to wear clothes when you're outside that's what's happening in
- 52:37Speaker 3: and around our city ding gone i don't know that
- 52:42Speaker 3: was unnecessary at the end there This Saturday night, me
- 52:47Speaker 3: and Bob are going to be out doing something fancy.
- 52:50Speaker 3: All for a good cause, too. It's the 10th annual
- 52:52Speaker 3: David Allen Fashion Show. Downtown PPG Place this Saturday. Tickets
- 52:57Speaker 3: are on sale at davidallenfashionshow.com. And it all benefits Casey's Clubhouse.
- 53:02Speaker 3: We're getting suits. We're walking in a fashion show. I
- 53:06Speaker 3: think I saw an update. David Allen posted. There's only
- 53:08Speaker 3: like 10 tickets left for the event. So, yeah, it's
- 53:12Speaker 3: all going to Casey's Clubhouse. All right, so you better
- 53:14Speaker 3: get on that DavidAllenFashionShow.com. It's going to be awesome. It's
- 53:18Speaker 3: going to be a fun night. You've never done a
- 53:21Speaker 3: David Allen Fashion Show. This is like my fourth.
- 53:23Speaker 2: It'll be fun, man. I don't even know who's going
- 53:26Speaker 2: to be there. No, me neither.
- 53:28Speaker 3: That's part of the fun of it, you know, because
- 53:30Speaker 3: then you're just, you know, randomly standing there.
- 53:32Speaker 2: It's like, oh, Charlie Batch, too, huh?
- 53:35Speaker 3: Hey, Charlie. She's like random Pittsburgh people and, you know,
- 53:39Speaker 3: other different celebrities from out of town that are close
- 53:42Speaker 3: with David Allen because he makes suits for a lot
- 53:44Speaker 3: of people. So, yeah, that's what we'll be doing Saturday night.
- 53:47Speaker 3: DavidAndleFastShow.com if you want to be part of it. and
- 53:50Speaker 3: uh support bob it is time to say something nice
- 53:52Speaker 3: right now again anytime you can send in your talkback
- 53:55Speaker 3: messages and just bring a little positivity to our show
- 53:58Speaker 3: and in our life it's time to say something nice
- 54:03Speaker 3: say something nice say something nice.
- 54:06Speaker 9: Hey guys i just want to say something nice about
- 54:09Speaker 9: val val okay Val is a pacer with P3R. I
- 54:15Speaker 9: met her back in January.
- 54:18Speaker 2: This is running stuff right here. P3R, pacer. This is
- 54:21Speaker 2: Val the runner.
- 54:23Speaker 9: When I got back into running for the first time
- 54:25Speaker 9: in about 10 years.
- 54:27Speaker 3: By the way, Wiz Khalifa's out here just taking the
- 54:30Speaker 3: running world over, man. He's got memes. He's got gear.
- 54:34Speaker 3: I don't know. It gives me hope that I might
- 54:36Speaker 3: run one day in.
- 54:37Speaker 2: My life again. Wow.
- 54:40Speaker 6: You know?
- 54:40Speaker 3: Thank you, Wiz. I just figured, you know, if Wiz
- 54:44Speaker 3: can do it with his lungs, who's to say I
- 54:47Speaker 3: can't do it with mine?
- 54:49Speaker 9: She brings the party every time.
- 54:51Speaker 3: Hey, Val, you bring the party every time, Val. That's
- 54:55Speaker 3: what we're looking for. Everybody needs somebody that brings the
- 54:59Speaker 3: party every time.
- 55:00Speaker 9: And I get so excited to see her at races.
- 55:03Speaker 9: I just saw her. At the Steeler 5K.
- 55:06Speaker 3: Oh, man, the Steeler 5K, the legendary 5K, where Steely
- 55:11Speaker 3: McBean tripped a nine-year-old.
- 55:12Speaker 2: I imagine Wiz bringing the party every time before the run, too. Yeah, probably.
- 55:17Speaker 6: Well.
- 55:18Speaker 2: Different party probably than Val. Yeah, I think so.
- 55:20Speaker 9: And I felt an immediate sense of relief to know
- 55:23Speaker 9: that I wouldn't have to run the race alone and that.
- 55:26Speaker 9: She'd be there cheering me on.
- 55:27Speaker 2: Really nice.
- 55:28Speaker 9: So thank you, Val. You are very appreciated.
- 55:31Speaker 2: Hey, you know what? That's what say something nice is
- 55:33Speaker 2: all about.
- 55:34Speaker 3: It is.
- 55:34Speaker 6: It is.
- 55:35Speaker 2: Val, the pacer from P3R. Val, Val, the running pal.
- 55:40Speaker 3: Oh, my gosh.
- 55:41Speaker 2: Yeah, Val.
- 55:45Speaker 3: Say something nice. Say something nice. All right, you can
- 55:49Speaker 3: send your say something nice messages through the free iHeartRadio app.
- 55:51Speaker 3: Maybe you'll make the show. A man was arrested in
- 55:54Speaker 3: Florida without a nose. We'll get to that around 940.
- 55:57Speaker 3: It's Mikey and Bob.
- 55:58Speaker 12: 96.1.
- 55:58Speaker 2: Kiss. Hey. Don't bring the off-air stuff on air.
- 56:07Speaker 3: Don't bring the.
- 56:11Speaker 3: Don't bring the off-air stuff on air. It stays off-air.
- 56:14Speaker 3: It's Mikey and Bob here on 96.1 KISS. Should be
- 56:18Speaker 3: a pretty nice day out today. Highs in the mid-80s.
- 56:20Speaker 3: Might have some thunderstorms coming overnight, though. We announced it
- 56:23Speaker 3: yesterday on our show, but Kenny Chesney's coming back to
- 56:26Speaker 3: play Akershire. a couple of years since he played Akershire.
- 56:29Speaker 3: He's been out this sphere in Vegas. I didn't notice
- 56:32Speaker 3: it was Memorial Day weekend. We're letting Kenny come here
- 56:38Speaker 3: on Memorial Day weekend. This is going to make an
- 56:41Speaker 3: episode of the pit, right? Tickets go on sale to
- 56:45Speaker 3: the public next Friday, September 25th. You can sign up
- 56:49Speaker 3: for some presale at Kenny Chesney.com. Kenny Chesney come back
- 56:52Speaker 3: time to rip it up at Akershire on May 29th.
- 56:57Speaker 2: Of next year. It's Mikey and Bob on 96.1 KISS.
- 57:00Speaker 3: One tour that doesn't seem like it's going great right
- 57:03Speaker 3: now is Ed Sheeran's tour. He's got some North and
- 57:06Speaker 3: South America dates. And of course, if you haven't been
- 57:09Speaker 3: following along, Macklemore was opening up for him. He's got
- 57:12Speaker 3: a couple people opening up, you know, some dates here,
- 57:14Speaker 3: some dates there. Macklemore, you know, has a very free
- 57:19Speaker 3: Palestine stance and everything and, you know, said a lot
- 57:22Speaker 3: of things like that in the concert and had some
- 57:25Speaker 3: you know, free Palestine images that were playing behind him
- 57:28Speaker 3: and everything. And Robert Kraft, the billionaire Patriots owner, he
- 57:36Speaker 3: came out, you know, he's Jewish and always is speaking
- 57:39Speaker 3: out against anti-Semitism and everything. And he came out and
- 57:42Speaker 3: just said, hey, Ed Sheeran's not going to be able
- 57:44Speaker 3: to play here if Macklemore's doing these Palestine messages. And
- 57:49Speaker 3: And then Macklemore was off the tour because Robert Kraft
- 57:52Speaker 3: reportedly talked to some other owners of the big stadiums
- 57:56Speaker 3: where Ed was playing. And they were sort of like,
- 57:58Speaker 3: all right, if Robert Kraft doesn't want him, we don't
- 58:00Speaker 3: want him either. Isn't he supposed to play Philly? Yeah,
- 58:03Speaker 3: he's supposed to play Philly this weekend.
- 58:05Speaker 2: Yeah, this weekend. So then.
- 58:08Speaker 3: I kind of thought maybe that's it. But then everybody
- 58:12Speaker 3: else dropped off his tour, including his own band. The
- 58:15Speaker 3: band plays with Ed Bioga. They posted a message, said
- 58:20Speaker 3: we're a traditional Irish band who never saw ourselves playing
- 58:23Speaker 3: in stadiums of that size. And the opportunity was not
- 58:25Speaker 3: lost on us. We've been friends with Ed for over
- 58:27Speaker 3: 10 years now. We'll continue to be. But we believe
- 58:29Speaker 3: in dialogue as a means of progressing forward. the plight
- 58:35Speaker 3: of the Palestinian people. It's a mess when your own
- 58:38Speaker 3: band leaves. Yeah, because there were the other openers, Aaron Rowe,
- 58:43Speaker 3: he's an Irish singer.
- 58:44Speaker 2: He sort of, you know, said the same thing.
- 58:48Speaker 3: Irish people know about genocide and all forced famine and
- 58:51Speaker 3: violent occupation. So he's like, I can't stand for this.
- 58:54Speaker 3: So he's out Phineas, who of course is very popular.
- 58:58Speaker 3: Billy Eilish, his brother writes and produces a bunch of
- 59:01Speaker 3: great songs and He was out basically saying artists must
- 59:05Speaker 3: not be silenced when they speak up for the oppressed.
- 59:08Speaker 3: Lucas Graham. another Ed Sheeran opener, all of them done.
- 59:13Speaker 3: They just said, no, we can't let billionaires tell us
- 59:16Speaker 3: what to do here. We can't be pressured. And Macklemore, again,
- 59:22Speaker 3: was supposed to be performing at eight of the ten
- 59:24Speaker 3: shows that Ed has remaining. Again, Saturday in Philadelphia, and
- 59:29Speaker 3: then it's Gillette Stadium, Mercedes-Benz down in Atlanta, Indianapolis at
- 59:34Speaker 3: Lucas Oil. there's a lot of these shows and Robert
- 59:37Speaker 3: Kraft was just calling owners being like, Hey, don't let
- 59:39Speaker 3: Ed Sheeran play there.
- 59:40Speaker 2: And they're like, Ed Sheeran, would you hear what Macklemore said?
- 59:43Speaker 3: Right.
- 59:44Speaker 4: Right.
- 59:44Speaker 2: And it just turned on Ed Sheeran and Ed Sheeran's.
- 59:47Speaker 3: Kind of in the middle of this, but also he, uh,
- 59:50Speaker 3: he just didn't take the right path.
- 59:52Speaker 2: You know, this is blown up in Ed Sheeran's face.
- 59:55Speaker 3: It turned real quick. Uh, Ed Sheeran said, uh, Macklemore
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: coming off the tour was the promoter's decision.
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: It was not mine.
- 1:00:04Speaker 3: I would never let down the fans who had made plans,
- 1:00:07Speaker 3: nor would I abandon the touring crew and other support
- 1:00:10Speaker 3: acts and musicians who rely on me for work and
- 1:00:12Speaker 3: make a living. Even that statement is just like, I
- 1:00:15Speaker 3: don't think people were such big Macklemore fans that they're
- 1:00:18Speaker 3: upset about that, but that's not the cause here. It's
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: not about Macklemore. Got everybody upset. It's the response to Macklemore.
- 1:00:25Speaker 3: It's letting Robert Kraft. Robert Kraft, the owner of the Patriots, Captain.
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: Tuggs, Really? He's like, hey, I decide who opens up
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: for Ed Sheeran.
- 1:00:40Speaker 3: Yeah. If Ed Sheeran were told not go kick rocks
- 1:00:43Speaker 3: and then told the story.
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: Yeah, it would have been great.
- 1:00:46Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:00:47Speaker 3: I'm telling you, there's a shift going on here where
- 1:00:49Speaker 3: people are starting to dig into stuff. And I'm not
- 1:00:52Speaker 3: saying like crazy conspiracies, but like. having these billionaires and
- 1:00:57Speaker 3: stuff telling you like, sort of what did it's like,
- 1:01:00Speaker 3: you just take it on the internet, expose them and
- 1:01:04Speaker 3: then done.
- 1:01:06Speaker 6: Right.
- 1:01:07Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:01:07Speaker 3: I mean, there's concert companies and conglomerates and everything else
- 1:01:11Speaker 3: that all wanted a piece of Ed Sheeran money, you know, like,
- 1:01:14Speaker 3: and Ed wanted to protect the money, but then the
- 1:01:16Speaker 3: band and the openers are just like, not worth it, dude.
- 1:01:20Speaker 3: And I don't, I think Ed is, took it a
- 1:01:23Speaker 3: little bit lighter than he thought it was going to be. Yeah,
- 1:01:25Speaker 3: so do I. I don't have anything to do with this.
- 1:01:27Speaker 3: It's your tour, man. The promoter fired on. No, it's
- 1:01:33Speaker 3: past that, buddy. I don't think it's a good look
- 1:01:34Speaker 3: for Ed Sheeran. Your own band left.
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: It's... That's never a good situation. What's he going to
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: do in Philly? I don't know.
- 1:01:41Speaker 3: Is he going to go up there with just his,
- 1:01:42Speaker 3: his little pedal like he does in his guitar and just,
- 1:01:45Speaker 3: you know, rip it up like that.
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: They're going to cancel the show.
- 1:01:48Speaker 3: We'll keep you updated what happens, but obviously there is
- 1:01:51Speaker 3: a lot going on with the Ed Sheeran, uh, tour
- 1:01:54Speaker 3: that has to do with billionaires, NFL owners, and, uh,
- 1:01:59Speaker 3: You know, world politics.
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: Now, coming up next on the.
- 1:02:03Speaker 3: Show, a guy down in Florida got arrested and he
- 1:02:06Speaker 3: didn't have a nose. The Emmy Awards ratings were down
- 1:02:15Speaker 3: nearly 10% from last year. That's because you've got to
- 1:02:18Speaker 3: tell people Taylor Swift's going to be doing a Law &
- 1:02:21Speaker 3: Order skit. I know people want to be surprised, but
- 1:02:24Speaker 3: also NBC, you're doing these.
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: Shows for ratings. I turned it on for a few minutes.
- 1:02:31Speaker 6: It was bad.
- 1:02:32Speaker 3: It was bad. It was bad. It's Mikey and Bob
- 1:02:36Speaker 3: here on 96.1 KISS. Have Nikki Glaser host everything. somebody
- 1:02:40Speaker 3: like that you know like yeah you need you need
- 1:02:42Speaker 3: somebody funny who's gonna rip on the fancy people keep
- 1:02:46Speaker 3: things moving too yeah yeah So Emmy Awards down 10%
- 1:02:50Speaker 3: in the ratings. All you got to do is tell
- 1:02:52Speaker 3: people Taylor Swift skit, and that would have been no problem.
- 1:02:55Speaker 3: And they would have been up 30% from last year.
- 1:02:58Speaker 3: It's that big of a needle mover. Or play the
- 1:03:00Speaker 3: Taylor Swift skit to start the show.
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: Right, yeah.
- 1:03:03Speaker 3: Then it builds the hype of, wait a minute, Taylor's
- 1:03:06Speaker 3: on the, right? They buried that in the middle of
- 1:03:09Speaker 3: the show. Sidney Sweeney has lost 200,000 Instagram followers after
- 1:03:14Speaker 3: a nude sports betting ad.
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: Was posted on our socials.
- 1:03:21Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:03:23Speaker 3: By the way, sports betting. It's the prediction markets and stuff.
- 1:03:27Speaker 3: Watching any football over the weekend. And, you know, it's
- 1:03:30Speaker 3: in college now. And it's out of control. But there's no, like,
- 1:03:36Speaker 3: regulation on those prediction markets. Like, it's a wild, wild time.
- 1:03:41Speaker 3: It is. But really, who unfollowed Sydney Sweeney because she
- 1:03:47Speaker 3: did a semi-nude ad for a sports betting app? Yeah,
- 1:03:51Speaker 3: who was following Sydney Sweeney?
- 1:03:52Speaker 2: Like, I don't follow her.
- 1:03:53Speaker 3: I don't know what she posts. I don't either. I'm
- 1:03:55Speaker 3: guessing it's mostly boobs and butt, you know?
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: That's a lot that you post, too, though, you know?
- 1:04:01Speaker 3: When you got a body like that, you got to
- 1:04:02Speaker 3: hit moneymaker, Bob, like your mustache, too. But, like, who
- 1:04:06Speaker 3: follows her and gets the nude thing? We've gone too far.
- 1:04:11Speaker 3: I followed her. For wholesome content. Now I see her topless,
- 1:04:16Speaker 3: holding two footballs over her boobs.
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: Too much.
- 1:04:19Speaker 3: Unfollow. That's it.
- 1:04:21Speaker 2: Cross the line.
- 1:04:22Speaker 3: Not a big fan of Sydney Sweeney either, but yeah,
- 1:04:25Speaker 3: she loses 200,000 Instagram followers.
- 1:04:26Speaker 2: You know what? She posts a couple more pictures, and
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: they're right back at it, right?
- 1:04:33Speaker 3: Now, there's all these weird things happening down in the
- 1:04:35Speaker 3: state of Florida. It is time for another Weird Florida Story.
- 1:04:38Speaker 3: Here we go.
- 1:04:41Speaker 14: Attention, all listeners of The Freak Show. It's time to
- 1:04:44Speaker 14: travel to the Sunshine State. Yes, it happened again.
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: It's another Florida Story.
- 1:04:50Speaker 3: A 46-year-old man was a passenger in a Mercedes when
- 1:04:53Speaker 3: he was pulled over in Fort Lauderdale. A canine alerted
- 1:04:57Speaker 3: authorities to drugs in the vehicle. Police found meth and
- 1:05:02Speaker 3: crack cocaine in the spare tire compartment. Oh, hiding it.
- 1:05:07Speaker 3: Investigators also found more drugs in the man's backpack, as
- 1:05:12Speaker 3: well as $ 3, 600 in cash.
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: There was a scale, a handgun. This guy sounds like
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: he was moving weight.
- 1:05:17Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:05:19Speaker 3: He also had a fake driver's license that he presented
- 1:05:21Speaker 3: to police and tried to say, this is me.
- 1:05:23Speaker 2: And they're like, no, it's not you. You know how
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: they knew? He didn't have a nose.
- 1:05:32Speaker 3: I don't know what happened. I can't explain why this
- 1:05:34Speaker 3: guy didn't have a nose. But you can look up
- 1:05:37Speaker 3: the mugshot. Bob showed it to me. Guy doesn't have
- 1:05:41Speaker 3: a nose. Like, did he pull out his license? Do
- 1:05:44Speaker 3: you think he's got a license that has somebody with
- 1:05:47Speaker 3: a nose?
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: Sir.
- 1:05:50Speaker 3: Sir, I'm sorry. This is not you. You don't have
- 1:05:53Speaker 3: a nose. You know, it's like me. I get pulled over,
- 1:05:56Speaker 3: license and registration. I hand him my ID, and he's like,
- 1:06:00Speaker 3: you're not an Indian man. Like, it's a.
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: Very clear thing here to see.
- 1:06:05Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: The picture here says, I see a nose.
- 1:06:10Speaker 3: Sir, we've seen a bunch of things in Florida over
- 1:06:12Speaker 3: the years, but this ID, not you. You, sir, are missing.
- 1:06:16Speaker 3: It's just a hole in his. Yeah, so he's got
- 1:06:18Speaker 3: a hole in his face where his nose should be.
- 1:06:21Speaker 3: You can see it in the mugshot. Again, the story
- 1:06:23Speaker 3: does not say how the man lost his nose, but
- 1:06:27Speaker 3: he does face charges of meth trafficking as well as
- 1:06:30Speaker 3: possession of meth, cocaine, and other drug paraphernalia.
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: You know what, though?
- 1:06:36Speaker 3: This might be a cautionary tale. It might have to
- 1:06:39Speaker 3: do with drugs, man. You know, it might be into the.
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: Booger sugar.
- 1:06:51Speaker 3: Maybe sniff too much booger sugar got your nose and
- 1:06:56Speaker 3: its nose just went. I'm out of here. Too much
- 1:06:59Speaker 3: cocaine in this nose.
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: It is Florida making the show once again. If you
- 1:07:05Speaker 2: see a big man with a mustache driving a.
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: White Dodge Ram 1500 Laramie, give him a honk and
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: a wave.
- 1:07:08Speaker 3: Cause that's Bob.
- 1:07:09Speaker 10: Honk, honk.
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: Oh, not all Bob.
- 1:07:26Speaker 3: Big dudes with mustaches are driving white Dodge Rams. But
- 1:07:30Speaker 3: I'm just saying, if you see a white Dodge Ram
- 1:07:32Speaker 3: 1500 Laramie, and then you see a big man driving
- 1:07:35Speaker 3: it with a mustache. Check for a mustache, though. Don't
- 1:07:39Speaker 3: just be honking at any big guy out there. And I,
- 1:07:43Speaker 3: of course, am driving a purple Jeep Gladiator Sport. Got
- 1:07:46Speaker 3: a lot of ducks up on the dash. We got
- 1:07:48Speaker 3: our own Mikey and Bob ducks from C. Harper to
- 1:07:50Speaker 3: hand out. Really excited about our partnership we got with C.
- 1:07:53Speaker 3: Harper because we're driving their vehicles. They're a big sponsor
- 1:07:57Speaker 3: of our Mikey and Bob podcast.
- 1:07:59Speaker 2: What do you want to name the podcast today, Bob?
- 1:08:02Speaker 3: Poop bucket super load of course it was gonna have
