- 0:00Speaker 1: All right, here we are welcome everyone to the Hard
- 0:02Speaker 1: Foundation bonus episode. I am your moderator here, smart Mark Sterling.
- 0:09Speaker 1: I am joined by the interviewees, first of the Thrill
- 0:13Speaker 1: Zone brand.
- 0:16Speaker 2: Former Deep South Wrestling, two time tag team Champion of
- 0:18Speaker 2: the World Brian Majors.
- 0:22Speaker 3: And I am a two time Deep South Tag Team
- 0:25Speaker 3: champion and one time or was it two times?
- 0:28Speaker 4: One time?
- 0:28Speaker 1: That's right, I didn't know that. Oh yeah, that's pretty cool. Yeah,
- 0:32Speaker 1: you guys never had a single anything. You never had
- 0:36Speaker 1: a single anything.
- 0:36Speaker 3: I wrestled uh Matt Striker, but it might have been
- 0:40Speaker 3: a dark match on Deep.
- 0:41Speaker 4: Out and wrestled.
- 0:44Speaker 2: I wrestled Lawrence Tyler, won a singles remember that some
- 0:47Speaker 2: random That's the first time I ever beat anyone with
- 0:49Speaker 2: the elbow drop.
- 0:50Speaker 3: And then that one time in OVW were you a
- 0:53Speaker 3: juggle for the wrist tape? I had to wrestle with
- 0:55Speaker 3: someone in a singles.
- 0:58Speaker 1: Somebody they like took you have the show because you.
- 1:00Speaker 4: Got because he said, is the risk tape? It's a itane.
- 1:04Speaker 4: You know.
- 1:05Speaker 3: We talked about the last episode which you have to
- 1:06Speaker 3: listen to, where Brian said, oh, I'm taping up my
- 1:10Speaker 3: risk is my wrist is hurt.
- 1:11Speaker 4: Oh yours? But you can't wrestle that.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Oh that's like I said, and I just went, okay,
- 1:16Speaker 2: well then, like I don't even think I was allowed
- 1:18Speaker 2: to manage you, like you just went out and work
- 1:21Speaker 2: last second.
- 1:22Speaker 4: Wow, just being a dick and me being a dick back,
- 1:25Speaker 4: So whatever.
- 1:26Speaker 1: All right, So full disclosure, this is part two of
- 1:29Speaker 1: the developmental podcast.
- 1:32Speaker 4: Now we it was that Alan Robert. It was Robert.
- 1:35Speaker 4: Robert didn't have that power. It was Al definitely so
- 1:38Speaker 4: al Al. So he was saying, oh.
- 1:40Speaker 2: You're hurt, then I guess you're off the show, okay,
- 1:43Speaker 2: And this is like the that's the night we were
- 1:45Speaker 2: like the popcorn match. I want to say intermission, the
- 1:47Speaker 2: night where I cussed yes at.
- 1:50Speaker 3: Robert Gibson where I took up the tape and I
- 1:51Speaker 3: said like, funck this, this is fucking bullshites And.
- 1:53Speaker 4: He said I cursed that m like he cussed me.
- 1:55Speaker 3: He made a team Like I said, fuck you, Robert Gibson.
- 1:58Speaker 3: That's not what I said. I said, like this is
- 2:01Speaker 3: bullshit or this is fucking something like that, totally out
- 2:04Speaker 3: of so. Anyway, I wrestled cod this past week like
- 2:07Speaker 3: I was in the ray was set up. It was
- 2:09Speaker 3: such a weird convention because of COVID and stuff like that.
- 2:12Speaker 3: It was like a hotel, like almost like a hotel lobby.
- 2:14Speaker 3: And then they in their different rooms that people are
- 2:17Speaker 3: in and the room next to me, alse though is
- 2:20Speaker 3: in it, and the color Elbow guys are in it.
- 2:22Speaker 3: And like, I love Colin, I don't dislike Al at all.
- 2:25Speaker 3: I have no ill will towards Al, but like I didn't.
- 2:28Speaker 4: Even want to walk in and say hello, right, we're
- 2:31Speaker 4: not friends.
- 2:32Speaker 3: That's funny because like, I don't know if I saw
- 2:35Speaker 3: him a couple of years ago, maybe it was New
- 2:38Speaker 3: Orleans or some I think the first wrestling in New Orleans.
- 2:41Speaker 3: He was at a bar and I went up and
- 2:43Speaker 3: said hello, and I wasn't sure if he was gonna,
- 2:45Speaker 3: like still not be nice to me.
- 2:47Speaker 4: But he was very nice. Oh, he was very nice
- 2:49Speaker 4: to me.
- 2:49Speaker 1: And he knew who you were.
- 2:51Speaker 3: Yes, I listen. Growing up, I was a huge Al
- 2:55Speaker 3: snow fan.
- 2:55Speaker 1: Oh yeah, hell yeah me too.
- 2:57Speaker 4: And then you watched Tough Enough and he's so nice.
- 3:00Speaker 3: He's like the you know, like the good the good cop,
- 3:03Speaker 3: you know, and I'm like, I can't wait for him
- 3:05Speaker 3: to be my coach, Oobie W.
- 3:07Speaker 4: And it was the complete opposite, and he was like tough.
- 3:10Speaker 2: So what we always heard, and this was the rumor
- 3:12Speaker 2: in innuendo, is that al was like the best and
- 3:15Speaker 2: then he ECW that FAKEW was back on TV and
- 3:18Speaker 2: they brought him in. He was basically like an enhancement guy,
- 3:19Speaker 2: but he was talent, so he was coach and talent.
- 3:22Speaker 2: Then they made these like cuts, A bunch of people
- 3:25Speaker 2: got fired. He was fired as talent but not as
- 3:27Speaker 2: a coach. So like what we always heard is that
- 3:29Speaker 2: he was kind of embarrassed by that, maybe you know,
- 3:32Speaker 2: and bitter.
- 3:33Speaker 4: I guess, I don't know.
- 3:34Speaker 2: And then they said that was like when everything changed
- 3:36Speaker 2: and he was like zero fun anymore, Like oh, we
- 3:38Speaker 2: were from the guys OBIW before our time. That he
- 3:40Speaker 2: would walk in and be like, oh, let's not practical,
- 3:41Speaker 2: let's go to six Flags. Would take everyone six flags
- 3:43Speaker 2: and they'd like just do stuff like that. Or he'd
- 3:46Speaker 2: have house part I know, he used to throw like
- 3:47Speaker 2: these big Halloween parties everyone look forward to every but
- 3:49Speaker 2: we did not get that we're.
- 3:50Speaker 4: All over the place now, we didn't get that version
- 3:52Speaker 4: of Alice.
- 3:52Speaker 3: Yeah, OBIW was weird for us, and we had a
- 3:54Speaker 3: bad attitude going in because as we'll explain in this,
- 3:58Speaker 3: and we explained that you gotta listen to part one for.
- 4:00Speaker 2: Well, hold on, let me, let me cutting me off Mark.
- 4:02Speaker 2: So we had in the middle of a story, so
- 4:05Speaker 2: I was setting it up, so we were.
- 4:07Speaker 3: In the whole year deep South. Then Deep South closes,
- 4:11Speaker 3: the majority of the people go to the new FCW,
- 4:13Speaker 3: but it's not open yet, so they have a month
- 4:15Speaker 3: vacation or whatever.
- 4:16Speaker 4: And the people who were ready three month was saying yes, wow.
- 4:18Speaker 3: The people who were like ready for TV, they put
- 4:21Speaker 3: to OVW, and that was we were included that. But
- 4:24Speaker 3: in that like week that we were moving to OVW,
- 4:26Speaker 3: we debuted on TV. So then when we debut in OBW,
- 4:30Speaker 3: first of all, like the first day, we already have
- 4:33Speaker 3: like a bullseye on our back.
- 4:36Speaker 2: Because I think Cody Rose has told this story over
- 4:39Speaker 2: the year so many times.
- 4:40Speaker 4: It's like kind of taking on a life of its own.
- 4:43Speaker 3: So after OVW shows and they do it after NXT shows,
- 4:47Speaker 3: blah blah blah, they have everyone in the crowd, not everyone,
- 4:51Speaker 3: not that, not not crowd members, all the all the boys,
- 4:54Speaker 3: the girls, They get in the crowded like it's like
- 4:55Speaker 3: a pep talk a post.
- 4:58Speaker 2: On the back meeting or you know, job, you know
- 5:00Speaker 2: what's going on in the start of the union kind
- 5:03Speaker 2: of thing.
- 5:03Speaker 3: So if I recall correctly, so the fans have gone
- 5:06Speaker 3: the fans have gone out, and then you you.
- 5:07Speaker 2: Can clean up the arena, you break down or whatever,
- 5:09Speaker 2: and then you have like everyone in the stands for
- 5:11Speaker 2: a meeting.
- 5:11Speaker 4: Let's talk about the night future.
- 5:13Speaker 3: We were so like hungry that we lived, not like
- 5:17Speaker 3: hungry for food, like hungry for wrestling that we we
- 5:20Speaker 3: we debut, recw drove back to McDonald Georgia, packed up
- 5:24Speaker 3: our stuff, drove to Louisville, Kentucky, and they We're like, oh,
- 5:27Speaker 3: there's a show tonight.
- 5:27Speaker 4: Let's try to get there.
- 5:29Speaker 1: What's that drive?
- 5:30Speaker 4: It was pretty long, especially in you all because you
- 5:33Speaker 4: can't fast. So we got there as the show was ending.
- 5:36Speaker 3: Look, we should have just showed up the next day
- 5:38Speaker 3: in retrospect, but we wanted to show face that we
- 5:40Speaker 3: you know, and that particular day, Simon Dean Nova Mike
- 5:44Speaker 3: Bucci was now in charge of developmental just happened to
- 5:47Speaker 3: be there. I believe he lived in Louisville, yes, but
- 5:50Speaker 3: he was just happen to be at that show.
- 5:52Speaker 2: And another caveat we shad had to this. We already
- 5:56Speaker 2: knew Mike because he was our he took Dreamers spot
- 5:57Speaker 2: as our boss. Yes, and he, like we before, basically
- 6:00Speaker 2: befriended him and he really liked us. And this is
- 6:04Speaker 2: back when WW had their hand in mocap. It wasn't
- 6:09Speaker 2: like independent guys like it is now.
- 6:10Speaker 4: They would have WW guys do it.
- 6:12Speaker 2: So and he part of that talent relationship was to
- 6:15Speaker 2: like handpick who got to do that. And it was
- 6:16Speaker 2: like an unbelievable opportunity because you're getting like I think
- 6:19Speaker 2: got like five hundred a day plus like you don't
- 6:22Speaker 2: have to go to practice for a week. He was great,
- 6:24Speaker 2: you're on vacation in La basically, so he hand picked us.
- 6:26Speaker 4: We spent a week with Mike Bouci and Stevie Richards doing.
- 6:30Speaker 2: MOCAP for the video game, hanging out like doing John
- 6:33Speaker 2: Cena's entrance Jeff Hardy's entrance in that game that year,
- 6:37Speaker 2: and like we really bonded. So he already liked us
- 6:39Speaker 2: like a lot. But like OVW people don't know this,
- 6:43Speaker 2: you know, so then so we.
- 6:44Speaker 4: Get the we're watching the post show meeting. We missed
- 6:47Speaker 4: the show.
- 6:48Speaker 3: We go there, we get there, they're cleaning up, they're
- 6:50Speaker 3: doing the post row meeting and Mike Bouchi is standing
- 6:52Speaker 3: there in front of everybody. And I'm paraphrasing this, but
- 6:55Speaker 3: like Cody Road tells this story, Cody Road says, like
- 6:57Speaker 3: I walked in as like a leather jacket.
- 7:00Speaker 2: He said it was like Hall of Nash coming in,
- 7:02Speaker 2: Like that's not like see, I definitely see why he
- 7:06Speaker 2: would think that because it's this massive putover speech from
- 7:08Speaker 2: Bucci and he.
- 7:09Speaker 4: Made he called us out, made us come down.
- 7:11Speaker 2: You did like a group hug, like a click asg
- 7:14Speaker 2: like I'm so proud of these guys.
- 7:16Speaker 4: Basically, like these guys rule. You should be glad they're
- 7:18Speaker 4: the way Cody.
- 7:19Speaker 2: Tells it, he's like, these guys are better than you.
- 7:21Speaker 2: That's why they're on TV. They don't need to be here.
- 7:23Speaker 2: But that's not what he said. He said, like, I'm
- 7:25Speaker 2: so proud of you. You would certainly see why I
- 7:27Speaker 2: rubbed the other town.
- 7:29Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, he was just trying to you know, it's
- 7:33Speaker 3: like almost congratulated because we debuted the night before, two
- 7:35Speaker 3: nights before. But an outsider looking in, it's like, fuck
- 7:39Speaker 3: these guys, and plus from the coaches perspective, I'm sure
- 7:42Speaker 3: they were thinking fuck these guys. And honestly, in our
- 7:44Speaker 3: heads we were thinking, well, fuck this, why are we
- 7:46Speaker 3: even here?
- 7:47Speaker 2: We're on TV?
- 7:48Speaker 4: Why are we starting this new developmental twenty two years old?
- 7:51Speaker 3: And it was just a bad like And we discussed
- 7:54Speaker 3: on the last episode. Like at OVW listen rock and
- 7:56Speaker 3: Roll Express Hall of Famers, one of the greatest teams
- 7:59Speaker 3: of all time, and their style of wrestlings. I love
- 8:02Speaker 3: watching it, but at the time you couldn't do those
- 8:05Speaker 3: four men in the ring. Dose does, but you couldn't
- 8:08Speaker 3: do it in WE They were legit to squadify people
- 8:10Speaker 3: on live TV if they were in for you know, one, two, three,
- 8:13Speaker 3: four five DQ. So like in OVW, we're doing all
- 8:17Speaker 3: these wild rock and Roll Express style spots, but we
- 8:20Speaker 3: needed to practice like getting moving and get out. Yeah,
- 8:22Speaker 3: so we weren't getting our reps in. It was just
- 8:25Speaker 3: a style sclash if you will, and button heads. And
- 8:28Speaker 3: I'm not I'm not saying that we weren't being disrespectful
- 8:31Speaker 3: or or arrogant because we I don't know.
- 8:34Speaker 4: If RAGA is the right word. But like, well, we're
- 8:36Speaker 4: working for Postele tonight. You think he'll be okay with
- 8:38Speaker 4: us doing some rock and roll.
- 8:39Speaker 2: Yes, you guys are gonna get disqualified to talk to
- 8:42Speaker 2: the booker man. Well, Wimer's gonna throw us.
- 8:44Speaker 4: Out if we do that.
- 8:45Speaker 1: All right, So I tried to say this in the beginning,
- 8:46Speaker 1: but you cut me off. I haven't even opened the
- 8:50Speaker 1: podcast yet. We'll fucking fifteen minutes in whatever. All right,
- 8:52Speaker 1: here's the deal.
- 8:53Speaker 4: There's a lot so much unpacked. We need to listen
- 8:55Speaker 4: to part one.
- 8:56Speaker 1: We've decided to do like kind of a career retrospective
- 8:58Speaker 1: with these guys, and we're gonna take part portions of
- 9:00Speaker 1: their career and do it in the Q and A
- 9:02Speaker 1: style and interview style each month. First month we did
- 9:06Speaker 1: their indie and like first starting their career training with Mike.
- 9:09Speaker 1: You back that kind of deal. You can check that
- 9:11Speaker 1: podcast out. It's on the Hard Foundation Feed. Then last
- 9:14Speaker 1: week we did developmental, but we realized there was way
- 9:19Speaker 1: more to it, so we decided to do a part
- 9:21Speaker 1: two now last week.
- 9:22Speaker 4: Last month, sorry, we didn't even talk about ovwe.
- 9:25Speaker 1: So that's the thing. So that when we we basically
- 9:27Speaker 1: got to the OVW part and then realized we haven't.
- 9:30Speaker 4: Talked about there's still so much Deep South, right.
- 9:34Speaker 1: But I'm not sure. Well, we have all these questions, questions.
- 9:39Speaker 4: Maybe we even do a part three. I mean, we'll
- 9:41Speaker 4: see what happens. It's just a lot.
- 9:42Speaker 1: It's definitely not We did not do it linear. It
- 9:45Speaker 1: wasn't linear. We're going we're job bouncing all over the place.
- 9:48Speaker 2: Awesome and sorry, but like this sparks memories. Yeah, yeah,
- 9:51Speaker 2: it's too hard to do that that way.
- 9:54Speaker 4: Okay.
- 9:54Speaker 1: Max Herron says, what would you say are the biggest
- 9:57Speaker 1: differences from when you were in developmental today, today's gen when.
- 10:00Speaker 2: That was just talking about hands down, it's that disconnect
- 10:02Speaker 2: where like OVW and deep stuff are literally their own worlds, right,
- 10:06Speaker 2: and you're trying to make it to WW, and like
- 10:08Speaker 2: you're here, you know, you need people from the road
- 10:10Speaker 2: to tell you like, oh, Vince doesn't like Tegnans being
- 10:12Speaker 2: in the ring for you know, disobeying the five count
- 10:15Speaker 2: and burying the ref stuff like that, and you don't
- 10:17Speaker 2: get that information, whereas like now the PC and nxcor
- 10:20Speaker 2: like this in sync thing with W, where that kind
- 10:22Speaker 2: of stuff would would never happen you know what I mean.
- 10:24Speaker 4: But like literally, especially Deep.
- 10:26Speaker 2: South was its own world, living and literally living in
- 10:29Speaker 2: its own world, you know, and like like you're groomed
- 10:33Speaker 2: for ww television now like properly where you work on
- 10:36Speaker 2: your character and what you are called up as, whereas
- 10:38Speaker 2: like Gallows is the freaking deacon for two years and
- 10:42Speaker 2: deep stuff, and then they go your festus and it's
- 10:44Speaker 2: a completely different you know what I mean, Like that
- 10:46Speaker 2: doesn't happen anymore, very rarely, I would say it was
- 10:48Speaker 2: back then, it.
- 10:49Speaker 3: Was like maybe fifty percent, like you would get called
- 10:52Speaker 3: up as what you were doing in developmental right, right,
- 10:54Speaker 3: Like look at Santino. Santino was like this this killer
- 10:57Speaker 3: mma Russian guy and that becomes an Italian comedy guy,
- 11:01Speaker 3: which at first was just an Italian guy.
- 11:03Speaker 4: Like luckily he's good.
- 11:04Speaker 3: It was able to to save his career because he
- 11:07Speaker 3: was sinking as just Santino from Italy.
- 11:10Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, at.
- 11:12Speaker 3: First he's he's supposed, he's said, you know, from the
- 11:14Speaker 3: crowd from Italy.
- 11:15Speaker 1: So there's like it was like a shooter gimmick he
- 11:17Speaker 1: was doing.
- 11:18Speaker 4: Like a rushing watch. He comes out like m m
- 11:20Speaker 4: a yeah, like murders guys like, uh that he's taking
- 11:24Speaker 4: a Cobra sock out.
- 11:27Speaker 1: I didn't even never even thought of that. Yeah, that's interesting.
- 11:30Speaker 4: That's the biggest difference.
- 11:31Speaker 2: And that's like thank god they've figured that out and
- 11:33Speaker 2: fixed that, because like how do you deal with that?
- 11:35Speaker 4: That's tough.
- 11:36Speaker 2: And then the other word, like I don't I think
- 11:39Speaker 2: obviously when someone gets a call up now there's like
- 11:42Speaker 2: a heads up where like in ow be like we
- 11:45Speaker 2: need this guy and he's like your champion and just
- 11:46Speaker 2: f o W the story lines and everything that it
- 11:50Speaker 2: happened all the time, and the bookers like especially like
- 11:52Speaker 2: when Jim Cornett was there and he's so passionate, and
- 11:55Speaker 2: Jody Hamilton was love deep southing, was so passion about it,
- 11:58Speaker 2: and then this stuf would happened he liked and he'd
- 12:00Speaker 2: be like, so live it like that, like his storylines
- 12:04Speaker 2: in front of the fifty people that came there, you know.
- 12:08Speaker 2: So it's like, god, you know, it's it's a bizarre
- 12:10Speaker 2: situation looking back on it.
- 12:12Speaker 1: Joe Clegg, was there any particular gear you guys had
- 12:15Speaker 1: in developmental that you wish you could have gotten a figure?
- 12:18Speaker 4: Yeah, that's cool.
- 12:19Speaker 3: So we wore tassels on our boots and we did
- 12:24Speaker 3: a loop I believe we maybe we wore them on
- 12:27Speaker 3: the livens and a dark match and Johnny Ace somehow
- 12:32Speaker 3: Johnny John Loranidis, who was in charge then is in
- 12:34Speaker 3: charge now, said like it was too like Ultimate Warrior,
- 12:38Speaker 3: like it was not to wear it, and.
- 12:39Speaker 4: He said then looked tough for something I think with it, and.
- 12:41Speaker 2: Like I thought it was great to this day to
- 12:45Speaker 2: wear tassels is so fun. You feel like faster, You
- 12:47Speaker 2: feel like everything you do is like cooler because they're
- 12:49Speaker 2: just like movid.
- 12:50Speaker 4: Yeah, I can't explain it.
- 12:52Speaker 1: That's cool.
- 12:54Speaker 4: You have some customs though.
- 12:55Speaker 1: So you so you would have you have tassels on
- 12:57Speaker 1: the boots and trunks that.
- 12:58Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean basically like little Texas Tornadoes.
- 13:02Speaker 3: Yeah, we kept wearing the same trunks, but we had
- 13:04Speaker 3: the tassels and we'd switch them out and then we'd
- 13:06Speaker 3: have like matching wristbands and stuff like that.
- 13:08Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 13:09Speaker 1: Without the tassel, it's so boring, exactly. Uh, Jamie Ogden
- 13:14Speaker 1: Brian wrestled on an early NXT show at Full Sale.
- 13:18Speaker 1: Was it envisioned as being a third brand at the
- 13:21Speaker 1: time or just another show?
- 13:22Speaker 4: Yeah? I knew because.
- 13:26Speaker 2: Let me, I want to say, Tyson Kidd and Kofea
- 13:29Speaker 2: had like conversations with where they were like they had
- 13:31Speaker 2: already been to NXT BEF the new xt is now
- 13:34Speaker 2: before I'd gone, and they were like dude Hunters there
- 13:37Speaker 2: and you can just tell this is like his thing,
- 13:39Speaker 2: like it's his baby, and like he's host hunter who
- 13:42Speaker 2: like no offense but like barely makes eye contact with
- 13:45Speaker 2: main roster talent when he's there.
- 13:46Speaker 4: Right he's he's holding these post show meetings.
- 13:50Speaker 2: That we just talked about if they would do in
- 13:52Speaker 2: this raw, raw like feel good thing. And I'm like
- 13:54Speaker 2: I remember being there being like whoa, who.
- 13:56Speaker 4: Is this guy?
- 13:56Speaker 2: Like this is not the guy I've known for a year,
- 13:58Speaker 2: you know, like you could tell you care about it,
- 14:00Speaker 2: and like it grew to what it is, you know,
- 14:02Speaker 2: like this beast it's it's on real television now, it's incredible.
- 14:05Speaker 2: So I knew right away and I went, that was weird.
- 14:09Speaker 2: I guess we didn't talk about this last time. In
- 14:12Speaker 2: the summer of twenty thirteen. I believe that's when the
- 14:14Speaker 2: PC opened and.
- 14:16Speaker 1: Uh, everybody moved from Tampa to.
- 14:18Speaker 2: They switched from Tampa to Orlando, and uh Mark Carono
- 14:22Speaker 2: called me and I literally I thought I was getting fired.
- 14:24Speaker 4: I was like, oh, boys can not gonna be good.
- 14:26Speaker 2: And I pick it up and he explained to me
- 14:27Speaker 2: that there are a bunch of guys that they had
- 14:30Speaker 2: weren't doing anything with, which was me.
- 14:31Speaker 4: For sure. I was doing nothing.
- 14:32Speaker 2: He's like, we want to send you to the PC
- 14:35Speaker 2: and just kind of like take the classes and go
- 14:38Speaker 2: and whatever and just just to be active and you know,
- 14:40Speaker 2: kind of pitch stuff, do whatever you wanted. I was like, okay,
- 14:42Speaker 2: and actually was very cool. I got paid. I basically
- 14:46Speaker 2: I commuted like to Orlando every Sunday night and then
- 14:49Speaker 2: I attend Billy Guns class Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, there'sday Friday
- 14:52Speaker 2: five home Friday afternoon, had the weekends at home in
- 14:55Speaker 2: New York and I did it for a month.
- 14:56Speaker 4: Wait where did you live in New York?
- 14:58Speaker 1: Like, oh, wait no, but I'm saying, oh it was got.
- 15:00Speaker 4: A hotel, a car, paid me. And then I go
- 15:03Speaker 4: that when Ted Dbassi quit.
- 15:05Speaker 2: Uh so, what I remember that people are supposed to
- 15:08Speaker 2: do was me Ezekiel Jackson and Ted DBSTI Junior and
- 15:11Speaker 2: Deed Junior basically with the business over it like never
- 15:13Speaker 2: worked again, was like rather which I agree, Like I
- 15:16Speaker 2: agree too, I mean I was definitely above it and
- 15:18Speaker 2: like I mean it was. I loved it though, because
- 15:22Speaker 2: like that's how I met Billy God.
- 15:24Speaker 4: It was in his class. It was cool as hell.
- 15:26Speaker 2: That's how I met like so many of the guys
- 15:27Speaker 2: i'd eventually work with, Like that's where I met Mojo
- 15:29Speaker 2: before I went to the mad Man Folded gotch was
- 15:34Speaker 2: in my class, Sammy Callahan, like all these guys.
- 15:38Speaker 4: Chris hero is like one of my really good friends.
- 15:40Speaker 4: Was there. I kind of like he kind of showed
- 15:41Speaker 4: me the lay of the land when I was.
- 15:42Speaker 1: There, So it was like wrestling training you my.
- 15:44Speaker 4: Full blown was in Billy Gun's class.
- 15:46Speaker 2: But it would be like I've been wrestling for years
- 15:49Speaker 2: at this point, right with almost ten years at this point,
- 15:52Speaker 2: and we get in and be like do this tackle,
- 15:54Speaker 2: drop down, leadbrug hip toss, and I'm like, do it once,
- 15:56Speaker 2: nail it, flawless, get out, and I'm on the apron.
- 15:58Speaker 2: Then I watched Mojo fuck it up for an hour
- 16:00Speaker 2: on the apron and I'm just.
- 16:01Speaker 4: Like it was cake for me. It was blast, like
- 16:03Speaker 4: I love it. And then the other flips. I was great.
- 16:05Speaker 2: I got to be back in Dusty's promo class right
- 16:08Speaker 2: with a whole new.
- 16:09Speaker 4: Crop of guys. It's so fun.
- 16:10Speaker 2: I remember I picture just like New York Crew with
- 16:12Speaker 2: like big cast an end zone and I got promo
- 16:14Speaker 2: with them.
- 16:14Speaker 4: Did that that's funny. I did this like shoot one.
- 16:17Speaker 2: I remember because because Dusty would like challenge me and
- 16:19Speaker 2: asked me to do different stuff.
- 16:20Speaker 4: I love. It was fun.
- 16:21Speaker 2: Zeke Zeke tried to do a rap which cose here
- 16:24Speaker 2: I loves to talk about to this day. He tried
- 16:26Speaker 2: to be like I don't know what he tried to do,
- 16:27Speaker 2: like a big, big, badass rapper gimmick.
- 16:30Speaker 3: I think if I had to go do drills like
- 16:32Speaker 3: I couldn't do it because there's like there's after wrestling
- 16:35Speaker 3: for almost twenty years, like you have your way of
- 16:36Speaker 3: doing things, like I remember I went to just recently,
- 16:39Speaker 3: I went to Tyler Breeze's yeah, and they're like, you're
- 16:42Speaker 3: hitting the.
- 16:42Speaker 4: Ropes the wrong way. I'm like, fuck off. I'm like,
- 16:45Speaker 4: you're one of those those teachers who.
- 16:47Speaker 3: Say you have to hit it with come up the
- 16:48Speaker 3: ropes to your left foot, your right like, get the
- 16:50Speaker 3: fuck out of here, come up the ropes.
- 16:51Speaker 4: However, you want to come up the ropes, that's my opinion. Yeah,
- 16:54Speaker 4: you come up the ropes. That's that's that's enough, right.
- 16:58Speaker 2: And that's one of those things I always took from
- 16:59Speaker 2: Bill that, like flavors of ice cream, you can't please everybody,
- 17:02Speaker 2: and everyone has their own opinion. It's not only some
- 17:05Speaker 2: things in wrestling are like that's absolutely the wrong way.
- 17:07Speaker 4: That you can't hit toss with the left arm, right
- 17:10Speaker 4: right right, okay. Yeah. For some things, I think if
- 17:12Speaker 4: you make it look good, unbelievable, then that's fine. Who
- 17:14Speaker 4: gives a ship?
- 17:15Speaker 1: I asked you because I know some of the guys
- 17:16Speaker 1: that came over from like FTW at CAP, like Coach
- 17:19Speaker 1: for example, with Coach mamone hits like he does the
- 17:22Speaker 1: Luca hitting the ropes like he's grabbing it with his arm.
- 17:24Speaker 4: So he does it. I always loved the arm guys.
- 17:27Speaker 1: One ever taught me that ever, and then I was
- 17:29Speaker 1: and then I asked her, I was like, are you
- 17:30Speaker 1: going to correct them? You're like, I don't really care. No, yeah,
- 17:33Speaker 1: because they're.
- 17:34Speaker 4: Hits it that way like seth rawlins. You can't hit
- 17:37Speaker 4: the ropes that way, like funk off exactly cool. That
- 17:41Speaker 4: was cool.
- 17:41Speaker 1: I didn't even know that know that you did that stuff.
- 17:45Speaker 1: Were you like killing it in those like just so
- 17:48Speaker 1: it was.
- 17:48Speaker 4: A joke for me, Like it's a joke.
- 17:51Speaker 2: I mean it was a breeze and it was fun
- 17:53Speaker 2: and like I I've always like enjoyed. I mean it's
- 17:58Speaker 2: it's a reflection on my school, Like I've been enjoyed
- 18:00Speaker 2: the training aspect of.
- 18:01Speaker 4: Pro wrestling, Like I like it.
- 18:02Speaker 2: I would always find my I would always go back
- 18:04Speaker 2: then my w I would always go to bat Bucks
- 18:06Speaker 2: School in Jersey, like I just I just there's something
- 18:08Speaker 2: about it.
- 18:08Speaker 4: I've always loved it.
- 18:09Speaker 2: I think it's like part of me from growing up,
- 18:11Speaker 2: like with sports and stuff, it's kind of the same atmosphere.
- 18:14Speaker 4: Maybe that's why I hated it.
- 18:15Speaker 1: Dude, It's so fun, Like I just enjoy you just
- 18:17Speaker 1: play in the ring. We just play, like I like.
- 18:19Speaker 2: The physicality of it, like the workout of it, like
- 18:21Speaker 2: the regimented, like you know, being ready.
- 18:23Speaker 1: I don't know, like the Brian will make up. Just
- 18:26Speaker 1: here's the drill, like come in, you know whatever, hit
- 18:29Speaker 1: up whatever, bring the ropes up and over twice or whatever.
- 18:33Speaker 1: But when you do it. You get in and then
- 18:34Speaker 1: you can do your own I do that, but smart
- 18:37Speaker 1: Mark does it, and then it's fun. And then you're
- 18:39Speaker 1: trying to you know, I'm trying to pop the guy.
- 18:41Speaker 2: Something bizarre in there to challenge people, to make me
- 18:44Speaker 2: challenge themselves, you know.
- 18:45Speaker 1: Like make me do a drop kick or what. But
- 18:48Speaker 1: it's fun and then it doesn't matter because it's practice. Yeah,
- 18:51Speaker 1: it's it's great. I love it all right. Anyway, Jamie Ogden,
- 18:54Speaker 1: I know Christian Garcia, who were some of the main
- 18:56Speaker 1: roster legends, former ww stupors, ars, et cetera, who joined
- 19:00Speaker 1: you guys in practices and shows any crazy stories that goal.
- 19:03Speaker 4: I got one. So I remember we're doing a practice.
- 19:08Speaker 3: We do the practice Deep South whatever Deep South we
- 19:12Speaker 3: talked about last monk practices were hard, and Bill DeMott
- 19:15Speaker 3: says like, hey, come back later in the day.
- 19:17Speaker 2: We have a special guest. I'm thinking, like, oh, man,
- 19:19Speaker 2: who's gonna be He basically just made a like unannounced
- 19:22Speaker 2: to a day. I'm like, drain our ass off all morning.
- 19:25Speaker 2: He goes, take a lunch break, be back at one
- 19:27Speaker 2: ready to go. We got a very special guest coming in,
- 19:31Speaker 2: saw Michaels no, I guess, like who do you think
- 19:35Speaker 2: who could who could it be? Uh?
- 19:39Speaker 4: I have no idea Big Veto. Oh my dress wearing
- 19:43Speaker 4: big Veto.
- 19:44Speaker 3: Okay, so big Veto, Big Vito comes in now he's
- 19:47Speaker 3: doing well that's when he was doing like that gimmick
- 19:51Speaker 3: right right, anyway, we.
- 19:52Speaker 4: Dress, so he comes in Big Veto.
- 19:54Speaker 3: I'll never forget he's wearing these where we do like
- 19:57Speaker 3: this this like almost it's called like man in the
- 19:59Speaker 3: Middle where it kind of where he wants to stay in.
- 20:01Speaker 3: I guess he wants to get back in ringships. He
- 20:02Speaker 3: just wants to be in there with a bunch of people.
- 20:03Speaker 3: So like everyone's on the apron like tagging in and
- 20:06Speaker 3: just working Veto so you can like blow up and
- 20:08Speaker 3: whatever get in a ring shape.
- 20:09Speaker 4: And he's wearing.
- 20:09Speaker 3: These these gray WrestleMania pants like sweatpants. Right, he's in there.
- 20:15Speaker 3: I believe he's in there with Taylor Wild yes, and
- 20:18Speaker 3: you could tell. He starts to get a boat and
- 20:22Speaker 3: we're all like on the apron like, broo, he's got
- 20:26Speaker 3: a boat.
- 20:26Speaker 2: It was a chubby for sure. Let's get wild horrendous
- 20:33Speaker 2: horendous day.
- 20:34Speaker 1: Oh my god, what about actual like oh, my god,
- 20:39Speaker 1: I can't believe.
- 20:40Speaker 4: Then I would come down all the time. I think
- 20:42Speaker 4: that's how I want to live pretty close regal. I
- 20:44Speaker 4: think that's how MVP got his break because like actually
- 20:47Speaker 4: works for real a lot with Dave Taylor.
- 20:49Speaker 3: Yeah, because Ben would come down and trade with like
- 20:51Speaker 3: m v P and then when MVP gets called up.
- 20:57Speaker 1: Okay, Michael Maniaki, what was one piece of advice someone
- 21:00Speaker 1: gave you down in developmental that totally changed your perception
- 21:03Speaker 1: of the business or open your eyes to a different
- 21:04Speaker 1: point of view?
- 21:05Speaker 4: All right?
- 21:05Speaker 3: So before I don't want to I hope we're not
- 21:07Speaker 3: coming across like we're bearing else now because I don't
- 21:10Speaker 3: want to convey that point because that's not how I feel.
- 21:13Speaker 3: I think he actually did teach us a lot of things,
- 21:16Speaker 3: and one thing that at the time I thought was
- 21:18Speaker 3: so annoying, but I do believe he is right, and
- 21:21Speaker 3: it's very very simple. He would ask, what is the
- 21:24Speaker 3: story of your match? So you every that's what this
- 21:29Speaker 3: is storytelling, right, So like I think so many people
- 21:32Speaker 3: now are trying to get their shit in and their moves,
- 21:34Speaker 3: and but what's the story? Like that's I think you
- 21:37Speaker 3: need to before every match, like not every match is
- 21:40Speaker 3: gonna have this elaborate story back with backstory, But you
- 21:44Speaker 3: can make a story in a match. You can tell
- 21:45Speaker 3: a story, and that's what wrestling is. So if you
- 21:47Speaker 3: don't have a story in your.
- 21:48Speaker 4: Match, what the fuck are you doing? Right? And I
- 21:52Speaker 4: think that's very important.
- 21:53Speaker 2: Yeah, and I would always preach I actually always kind
- 21:56Speaker 2: of it's weird.
- 21:57Speaker 4: The older you get, the more like resonates.
- 21:59Speaker 2: But less more. And it just sounds like the most boring,
- 22:02Speaker 2: stupid thing to say, but in wrestling, it really matters,
- 22:05Speaker 2: like less is more. Like that just to cram all
- 22:07Speaker 2: your ship in a certain amount of time does not
- 22:09Speaker 2: make your match better.
- 22:10Speaker 4: You're actually hurting yourself by doing that. You know. I
- 22:12Speaker 4: agree hard to tell young eager guys that it doesn't
- 22:15Speaker 4: make any sense.
- 22:16Speaker 1: Joe Bronson gets so pissed he goes, no, more is more, motherfucker.
- 22:20Speaker 2: And then Teddy Hart said one of those post show
- 22:23Speaker 2: meetings that ob w now is given the same boring
- 22:26Speaker 2: less is more guy to give him the speech. And
- 22:28Speaker 2: then Teddy art, more is more from everybody, from everybody.
- 22:34Speaker 4: I'll never forget it, but he's right.
- 22:36Speaker 2: And then the other thing that Al always said that
- 22:39Speaker 2: I always kept too, was how valuable.
- 22:41Speaker 4: Television time is. Yes, you know what I mean, like
- 22:43Speaker 4: did not like take that for granted?
- 22:46Speaker 2: Like how like how and especially if you do the
- 22:48Speaker 2: financials of it, like what a one seg match on
- 22:51Speaker 2: row financially is for like ww, what they're investing in
- 22:53Speaker 2: you to give you that time and that like it's
- 22:56Speaker 2: a lot and to be taken.
- 22:56Speaker 1: Seriously, Holy shit, that is a really good point. Yeah,
- 22:59Speaker 1: that is really good. But somebody was just talking about
- 23:01Speaker 1: that the other day that even if it's a minute
- 23:03Speaker 1: better the best fucking minute that you can possibly.
- 23:05Speaker 4: Exactly right, because it's precious.
- 23:07Speaker 3: Another another al thing that you know, I think this
- 23:09Speaker 3: also Bill was a preacher of this too, is that
- 23:14Speaker 3: like you know, sometimes.
- 23:17Speaker 4: How can I put this? Like nothing?
- 23:19Speaker 3: Sometimes it doesn't have to be formulaic, doesn't need to
- 23:21Speaker 3: be shine heat comeback. I remember once in OVW were
- 23:24Speaker 3: doing this like we would kind of we were butting
- 23:27Speaker 3: heads with Al and I wanted to like make him angry, right,
- 23:30Speaker 3: so we came up with this spot. It was Brian
- 23:32Speaker 3: and I against uh Drew McIntyre and what was his
- 23:36Speaker 3: name is Wadeber What was the name at the time,
- 23:38Speaker 3: Sam Sanders and like Wade had like the or Drew
- 23:42Speaker 3: had the kilt. So I had this idea, like, well,
- 23:43Speaker 3: what if like in the heat, like they have the
- 23:46Speaker 3: heat on me and Brian like gets drops out off
- 23:49Speaker 3: the apron, crawls under the rig, steals Drew back in tires, kilt,
- 23:53Speaker 3: gets up and throws it in Drew's face, And I
- 23:55Speaker 3: rolled up in the heat one two three, and like
- 23:57Speaker 3: we got to the back and Alice clap and he's like.
- 23:59Speaker 2: You finally got it, you get it? Like she was
- 24:03Speaker 2: so happy. So I was like, what, like we were
- 24:05Speaker 2: trying to make you bad and you thought this was great,
- 24:07Speaker 2: like but it like taught me like as not everything.
- 24:10Speaker 2: Sometimes it doesn't have to be shine.
- 24:12Speaker 4: He makes him stand out, you know, being different.
- 24:15Speaker 3: But at the same time, I think some people try
- 24:16Speaker 3: to be different all the time for the sake of
- 24:18Speaker 3: being different.
- 24:18Speaker 4: There's that fine line you gotta walk.
- 24:21Speaker 1: That this is this is all good points uh back
- 24:24Speaker 1: smash Master. Actually, I know he's listening to this and
- 24:27Speaker 1: he trains the New England Wrestling New England Pro Wrestling
- 24:30Speaker 1: Academy and he talks about that all the time. His
- 24:32Speaker 1: big thing is it doesn't you know you can start
- 24:34Speaker 1: in the heat or whatever.
- 24:35Speaker 4: You can run.
- 24:36Speaker 2: It's just the people that I hate, the idiots. I go, look,
- 24:38Speaker 2: shiny comic doesn't exist.
- 24:40Speaker 4: That's still ridiculous.
- 24:42Speaker 3: I think I would also say that as well, but
- 24:45Speaker 3: it does right of course. Yes, it's simple storytelling. And
- 24:49Speaker 3: I remember when Mikey Whipp this is like really backtrack.
- 24:52Speaker 3: Mikey Whipper did it on like a dry erase board
- 24:54Speaker 3: once and that blew my mind. Like I was watching
- 24:56Speaker 3: wrestling for eighteen years at that point and never put
- 24:58Speaker 3: that together.
- 24:58Speaker 2: There's a shine yet I'll never forget walking and seeing
- 25:02Speaker 2: that being like, my mind is blown.
- 25:06Speaker 1: WHOA, I don't think I learned it until I came
- 25:08Speaker 1: the captain.
- 25:10Speaker 4: Damn Mark.
- 25:11Speaker 1: That's hundreds of matches.
- 25:14Speaker 4: It's wild.
- 25:15Speaker 1: Well we never learned.
- 25:16Speaker 4: By the family. He's still trying to.
- 25:20Speaker 1: There are schools though that they don't.
- 25:22Speaker 4: Of course. It's like Finley in the Vine Man. That's
- 25:24Speaker 4: that's happened it all over the right. What do you do?
- 25:26Speaker 1: You can watch an indie match and you're like, oh yeah,
- 25:28Speaker 1: Jordan and GIBRONI apart from the infamous taped fists incident,
- 25:31Speaker 1: was there ever a piece of vice direction or order
- 25:35Speaker 1: that just made you think, what the f So maybe
- 25:38Speaker 1: the opposite of the last question.
- 25:39Speaker 2: Oh here's what we did touch o this one my
- 25:40Speaker 2: fair And I don't know if this really fits the
- 25:42Speaker 2: answer to this question. One time we come in on
- 25:45Speaker 2: a Monday and Bill goes, everybody's performing their favorite match
- 25:48Speaker 2: on Friday.
- 25:50Speaker 3: I don't even think it was like a Monday, the friday.
- 25:53Speaker 3: I think it was like tomorrow. No, because we got
- 25:55Speaker 3: a couple of nights and still even I think we
- 25:57Speaker 3: have one day to study. Maybe it's all right, I'll
- 26:00Speaker 3: let you tell us. It could be like Tuesday to Friday.
- 26:02Speaker 3: This is like a ridiculous thing. Why why would you
- 26:05Speaker 3: ever recreate a match?
- 26:08Speaker 4: Like? What is he just said this Friday, we're recreating
- 26:11Speaker 4: your favorite match? Pair up? Do it? We were just like,
- 26:14Speaker 4: what is okay? Bill, Well, we're gonna show you.
- 26:16Speaker 2: We were like, all right, motherfucker, it's on and we
- 26:20Speaker 2: fucking dude mister us Bretteart SummerSlam ninety one. We go
- 26:24Speaker 2: to Walmart. We buy like women's workout stuff. I make
- 26:29Speaker 2: the baby blue single lit like he just makes Brett glasses.
- 26:32Speaker 2: We found like like a pink notebook with like a
- 26:35Speaker 2: plastic cover, and we cut it out and made Brett shade.
- 26:37Speaker 3: Yeah because I had the bread chades but there at home,
- 26:39Speaker 3: so we made him out of like a p if
- 26:40Speaker 3: I can make them have a notebook at Walmart and matel.
- 26:45Speaker 4: We were so bout.
- 26:46Speaker 2: We had Kevin matthewschool and take pictures that we still
- 26:48Speaker 2: have like promo shots of us like me is mister
- 26:50Speaker 2: perfect and he's Brett, And then we watched We definitely
- 26:53Speaker 2: studied the maund the Spots and ship and we recreated
- 26:56Speaker 2: like Spots.
- 26:57Speaker 4: With the jazz classic icy title. Yeah, we came I don't.
- 27:00Speaker 1: Yeah, Well that's tough because I mean, you know, they
- 27:02Speaker 1: were working on the fly for a lot of that too, So.
- 27:04Speaker 4: We were doing it all day. Like the headlocked takeovers.
- 27:06Speaker 4: There's a lot of headlock takeovers.
- 27:07Speaker 2: We do the rip single at the end, you know,
- 27:09Speaker 2: til he gets the single off and the bails dude.
- 27:11Speaker 2: So like no one else took this seriously at all,
- 27:15Speaker 2: like zero percent, like embarrassing to a te like and
- 27:18Speaker 2: that we let them all go first. We told Bill
- 27:20Speaker 2: like we'd like to go last. Do we play the
- 27:22Speaker 2: music deep South? We came out full entrances, killed it.
- 27:26Speaker 4: To down the house.
- 27:26Speaker 2: The boys are going crazy and shit and just kind
- 27:28Speaker 2: of like flipped whatever it was supposed to be. We
- 27:31Speaker 2: flipped it on its ass like for everybody and Bill included.
- 27:33Speaker 2: And I know the tape exists because Built taped everything.
- 27:36Speaker 2: So Bill probably has a VHS tape. He's had the
- 27:38Speaker 2: Jelly Donut tape.
- 27:39Speaker 4: Definitely has that too.
- 27:40Speaker 2: Yeah, but that's like one of those things that's like
- 27:44Speaker 2: so stupid, but it was awesome because it just helped
- 27:46Speaker 2: kind of pass the time of.
- 27:47Speaker 4: Like being there, you know, like and yeah, but some
- 27:49Speaker 4: kind of like camaraderie.
- 27:50Speaker 1: I guess Broski says he doesn't get it, but we
- 27:53Speaker 1: have a cap. You've made us do things. Not that,
- 27:56Speaker 1: but you would say you have to wrestle as the undertaker,
- 27:59Speaker 1: so you know we'd actually drawn names out of a hat.
- 28:01Speaker 4: That that I understand though.
- 28:03Speaker 2: That's like thinking differently, getting out of your shell and
- 28:07Speaker 2: hit that changed Bronson's career doing that drill one time.
- 28:11Speaker 1: Oh, I know the Triple H when and no I
- 28:14Speaker 1: had him wrestlers.
- 28:15Speaker 4: Missy Sampson remember her.
- 28:18Speaker 2: And it's just like because Joe's a very nice guy,
- 28:20Speaker 2: very to himself, and like he hadn't like we hadn't seen.
- 28:23Speaker 4: Him like coming out of his shell.
- 28:24Speaker 2: And Missy Sampson's this like big Lady Wrestler was like
- 28:28Speaker 2: new jersey of these, and then you've got Missy Sampson.
- 28:30Speaker 2: It like he had this like gear change and was
- 28:32Speaker 2: like menacing and like it literally it altered his whole
- 28:36Speaker 2: like training.
- 28:36Speaker 4: It was unbelievable.
- 28:37Speaker 1: That's true.
- 28:38Speaker 3: I remember Dave Taylor was saying when he was watching
- 28:40Speaker 3: these matches, and he was like, you just.
- 28:42Speaker 4: Did like that move so great. Why don't you start
- 28:44Speaker 4: doing this move?
- 28:45Speaker 2: You know, like because I was doing like the like
- 28:47Speaker 2: back breaker like something like that, and I still I
- 28:49Speaker 2: don't think I've ever done it since then. I was like,
- 28:52Speaker 2: I think I was making fun of like the way
- 28:54Speaker 2: the rock kicked somebody, and they was like those I remember
- 28:56Speaker 2: some similar things, like that looks great.
- 28:58Speaker 4: Why don't you just do that?
- 28:58Speaker 2: I don't understand they're like trying to make fun of
- 29:00Speaker 2: rock kicks, but these look better than your real kids.
- 29:02Speaker 1: That is very true. I feel like somebody we made
- 29:04Speaker 1: them a little shake then, right, yeah, yeah, we made
- 29:08Speaker 1: somebody change their gimmick because they were so good, wasn't it.
- 29:11Speaker 2: I don't remember cop no, not thats based of the
- 29:14Speaker 2: same thing.
- 29:15Speaker 1: Yeah, but there was somebody who did I don't know,
- 29:17Speaker 1: some some match like that. All right, Brian Cole, if
- 29:20Speaker 1: you had to begin your development into wrestling at twenty
- 29:23Speaker 1: twenty one, where would you start? What would be different? Similar?
- 29:27Speaker 1: That's a very interesting point.
- 29:29Speaker 3: I'm not even gonna blow smoke up Brian's ass, but like,
- 29:31Speaker 3: if you're living like the triced area, how do you
- 29:34Speaker 3: not go to create a bro.
- 29:36Speaker 1: At this point? At this point, if you want to
- 29:38Speaker 1: be a pro wrestler in the world, in the United States,
- 29:41Speaker 1: why would you not move to New York?
- 29:42Speaker 4: I don't understand.
- 29:43Speaker 3: Like, besides, like, okay, we're in this pandemic, but like
- 29:47Speaker 3: the Northeast the longest time has been like the spot
- 29:51Speaker 3: for indies and plus like he's you know, he's banging
- 29:55Speaker 3: out aw guy after aw guy, aw girl.
- 29:59Speaker 4: Right, why would if you live in the Tri cit
- 30:01Speaker 4: why the funk wouldn't you go there? I don't understand.
- 30:03Speaker 4: I think a lot of it.
- 30:04Speaker 2: Is people like it's very few people really really want this.
- 30:08Speaker 2: I just want to be involved in it. So like
- 30:09Speaker 2: if you go to like some Jibrilan school and you
- 30:11Speaker 2: have a match maybe once a month, like that's sometimes
- 30:13Speaker 2: even people will lie to themselves and pretend like, oh, I'm.
- 30:15Speaker 4: Trying to make a w W. They're not like they're
- 30:17Speaker 4: content with just be a Weekend Warrior or whatever. So
- 30:20Speaker 4: that's fine, that's what your goal is whatever.
- 30:22Speaker 1: But also the captain is is a commitment. And there
- 30:26Speaker 1: are a lot of people that get into wrestling and
- 30:28Speaker 1: become successful in wrestling, I feel, but when they were
- 30:31Speaker 1: initially got in it, they were literally just trying it out.
- 30:35Speaker 1: I could say that I was trying it out.
- 30:37Speaker 4: I guess I can't relate to that because.
- 30:39Speaker 1: No, because you wanted to be the w W superstar
- 30:41Speaker 1: when I did it.
- 30:43Speaker 4: People are coming to Grandbro. It's one at every twenty
- 30:45Speaker 4: five have like our mindset, yes, the way we were.
- 30:47Speaker 1: Yeah, some people are like I would like to try this.
- 30:50Speaker 2: I literally don't because I don't. Credipro is not like
- 30:52Speaker 2: a cash grab, Like if you're just like if this
- 30:55Speaker 2: is not for you, or especially if a bad attitude,
- 30:57Speaker 2: get we get rid of you real quick.
- 30:59Speaker 4: But like I.
- 30:59Speaker 2: Alway say, hey, I don't want your money right now,
- 31:02Speaker 2: just come and watch a practice and let's go from there.
- 31:05Speaker 2: Oh yeah, Like it's not worth it for me to
- 31:06Speaker 2: have someone like Ruin. What cret pro is you know.
- 31:09Speaker 4: Right right for sure? Uh?
- 31:12Speaker 1: Okay, Jonah Armitage, What was the best extra talent spot
- 31:17Speaker 1: you guys ever had during developmental example being seen him
- 31:20Speaker 1: punk in Sina's. There's only an entrance, there's Bob Rudez
- 31:23Speaker 1: cop ons back.
- 31:24Speaker 3: Now there's only one it's Massive Square Garden. So we
- 31:27Speaker 3: got a call and I remember Brian. This is like before,
- 31:31Speaker 3: like people had their cell phones on them at all time.
- 31:33Speaker 3: Like Brian is like he's played like fucking softball to
- 31:36Speaker 3: your friends at college, and I'm like, Tommy.
- 31:38Speaker 4: Dramer wants us at the garden tomorrow. You're like, fucking
- 31:41Speaker 4: call me back. I'm leaving the voicemails and stuff. And
- 31:43Speaker 4: he had to drive back. We went to Massive Square
- 31:47Speaker 4: Garden first of all.
- 31:48Speaker 1: Because you were up infield.
- 31:50Speaker 3: This is before, like you know, everyone, if you're in
- 31:52Speaker 3: the business, you're like a roller bag like I had like.
- 31:54Speaker 4: A big Nike Duffel bag. I didn't have like a
- 31:57Speaker 4: roller ba. We didn't know the fucker would do it.
- 31:58Speaker 2: I remember Dan Barry told us it's disrespectful to have
- 32:01Speaker 2: a rollerbag of you, but if you I'll.
- 32:02Speaker 4: Never have that, damn.
- 32:03Speaker 2: Barry said, it's disrespectful to have a roller bag if
- 32:06Speaker 2: you haven't had a few years in the business yet,
- 32:08Speaker 2: because you just not, you know, arrogantly roller your bag
- 32:11Speaker 2: past veterans or whatever. So like we did have rollerback.
- 32:14Speaker 3: That's why I thought Pat Buck was a piece of shit,
- 32:16Speaker 3: because he would bring his roller backs dead YWC. He
- 32:18Speaker 3: would come into ed YWC with like suit. One time,
- 32:21Speaker 3: he's wearing this fucking bright yellow dress shirt. He had
- 32:24Speaker 3: a hot bay of on his arms, the roller back
- 32:25Speaker 3: with this piece of shit.
- 32:28Speaker 2: It was right when that first Rick Flair DVD came
- 32:30Speaker 2: out and everybody wanted to be Lair and he was.
- 32:32Speaker 4: Giving us like the no look, headshake and stuff like that.
- 32:34Speaker 4: I thought was like ten years old.
- 32:37Speaker 2: He's a year older if you're listening the way he
- 32:39Speaker 2: carried himself such a pro He was.
- 32:41Speaker 4: Such a dick to us at the beginning though, especially me.
- 32:43Speaker 3: I don't know, I don't know why anyway, So we
- 32:48Speaker 3: go to mess g we don't know anything. We're shaking,
- 32:52Speaker 3: We're trying to be super respectful. We're shaking everyone's has
- 32:54Speaker 3: like fucking the stage hands like we don't know. I'll
- 32:57Speaker 3: never forget. Keep it like a mental checklist. Look, oh
- 32:59Speaker 3: my god, I didn't you shake Tompco's hand today because
- 33:01Speaker 3: you know.
- 33:03Speaker 4: His hand. So then of course we're looking around. We've
- 33:07Speaker 4: never been there.
- 33:08Speaker 2: MSG's super show. By the way, it was a smacked
- 33:10Speaker 2: down table on a ROTI. So everyone's there, Oh Edie
- 33:14Speaker 2: right crazy.
- 33:16Speaker 4: So we're we're walking around and I don't know.
- 33:18Speaker 1: What was the extra what was the extra locker story?
- 33:23Speaker 4: So we don't I don't know.
- 33:24Speaker 3: I don't recall if someone said this is where the
- 33:26Speaker 3: locker room is, we saw the male talent.
- 33:28Speaker 4: We just walk into mail talent. I'm critic jbl the MSG.
- 33:37Speaker 3: We're shaking hands and then uh, it was Eminem's debut
- 33:41Speaker 3: and I told the story at Morrisons.
- 33:43Speaker 4: They win the tag. It's like their second or third
- 33:44Speaker 4: night they win the tags. Are you sure? Yeah?
- 33:46Speaker 3: Okay, So I told the story at Morrison's wedding. He
- 33:49Speaker 3: comes like, hey, guys, uh, there's a locker room for
- 33:52Speaker 3: guys like you over there, and he affords us the
- 33:55Speaker 3: extra talent, thank god. And it's this like little closet
- 33:58Speaker 3: and I remember like Daniel Brian was there, but I
- 34:01Speaker 3: had no idea who he was because he had like
- 34:03Speaker 3: a shaved head of his log beard looked home, bless girl.
- 34:06Speaker 2: And I was in the clear oposica because at this time,
- 34:08Speaker 2: like Ring of Honor is like my favorite ship two
- 34:09Speaker 2: thousand and five, and I had just been with Ja
- 34:12Speaker 2: Silva at a Ring of Honor, so that he made
- 34:13Speaker 2: evented like a weekend before. Maybe I was like, what
- 34:16Speaker 2: the fuck? And now me and him in the same
- 34:18Speaker 2: like position like was nuts to me.
- 34:20Speaker 1: Wait, I'm sorry who I missed who it was?
- 34:23Speaker 3: And then I remember it's like a little in the room.
- 34:25Speaker 3: The the it's like.
- 34:26Speaker 4: A little closet.
- 34:27Speaker 3: Neever trist status comes into like she's like, oh, can
- 34:29Speaker 3: I come and try out this outfit?
- 34:31Speaker 4: Like sure? And then she's like, well can you leave?
- 34:34Speaker 4: It's crazy. That was Rick Michael's right after the ranks
- 34:36Speaker 4: our gear now which we didn't.
- 34:38Speaker 2: Like, Oh my god, change changed?
- 34:41Speaker 1: Why would he? Why would she change?
- 34:42Speaker 3: In your electoral No, because it wasn't a locker room
- 34:44Speaker 3: seamsters were She just got some new gear and we're
- 34:48Speaker 3: sitting there like hide and scared to death that she
- 34:50Speaker 3: comes in she goes, oh, do you guys mind if
- 34:51Speaker 3: I try these on in here?
- 34:52Speaker 4: And we're like, oh, yeah, no problem. She goes leave
- 34:55Speaker 4: like we were like we were not we were not
- 34:57Speaker 4: getting what was going on. The best bars like comes in,
- 35:02Speaker 4: one of your dads are here.
- 35:04Speaker 2: My dad flashed his badge to get back stages walking
- 35:07Speaker 2: around fucking SmackDown.
- 35:09Speaker 4: No, no, this is my heart.
- 35:12Speaker 3: My heart sank like a bright pink like Abercrombie and
- 35:16Speaker 3: Fitch polo ship.
- 35:18Speaker 4: Why would he do that?
- 35:19Speaker 1: Did you say, Dad, get the fuck out of here?
- 35:23Speaker 2: Reega man fucking crazy ho shit. The other thing that
- 35:28Speaker 2: this is like way off. But someone who's making jokes
- 35:31Speaker 2: yesterday about it if you've ever been a Druid and
- 35:33Speaker 2: I was thinking, we remember we did that, embarrassing that.
- 35:35Speaker 4: We were major brothers.
- 35:36Speaker 2: We're major brothers on TV such Jabron's. They ran out
- 35:40Speaker 2: of bodies and they made us be Druids on a
- 35:42Speaker 2: SmackDown and are thinking like, holy shit, this is not good,
- 35:45Speaker 2: Like really yeah, how brutal is that?
- 35:48Speaker 4: Well?
- 35:48Speaker 2: They went the Sandals out of the Druid outfit. I
- 35:51Speaker 2: never forgot where like so like bummed the battle like
- 35:54Speaker 2: it's so like uh defeating and then brad Jay or
- 35:57Speaker 2: Jay Bradley or Aid Noches a zillion wrestling names.
- 36:00Speaker 4: He was always stuck with me Boys fifth time being
- 36:03Speaker 4: a droop like thanks Bro really pumped.
- 36:07Speaker 3: But that that MSG day I ended up working uh
- 36:11Speaker 3: Matt Morgan, and I remember like on the back in
- 36:14Speaker 3: the day, they would like Sergeant Slaughter would write out
- 36:18Speaker 3: the card.
- 36:18Speaker 4: And it'd be like post it everywhere.
- 36:20Speaker 2: And I couldn't be Matt Cardona because it's Matt Morgan.
- 36:24Speaker 2: His name is Matt, so it can't be two mats.
- 36:26Speaker 2: So it was uh Brett Cardona. But they never announced
- 36:29Speaker 2: me anyway, so it doesn't matter. But I stole the
- 36:31Speaker 2: sheet and I still have it.
- 36:32Speaker 1: Oh yeah, that's cool.
- 36:34Speaker 3: So I wrestled Matt Morgan. He was more nervous than
- 36:36Speaker 3: I was. It was his like stuttering debut gimmick. I
- 36:39Speaker 3: remember like backstage were going over it. He was like
- 36:41Speaker 3: showing me on the floor practicing his pushes.
- 36:42Speaker 1: And stuff like that.
- 36:43Speaker 4: We watched that uh Live six.
- 36:49Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, it was a fun little match, and like
- 36:51Speaker 3: I I thought, that was like, oh my god, I
- 36:53Speaker 3: made it.
- 36:53Speaker 4: I wrestled. I mean a whole shadow box out of it.
- 36:57Speaker 4: Where is that It's in my garage anywhere.
- 36:59Speaker 1: I felt the same way when I did the Viking Raiders.
- 37:03Speaker 3: I felt like if I never if I never do
- 37:05Speaker 3: anything else, no one could take that away from you
- 37:07Speaker 3: if I if I never do anything else, I got
- 37:09Speaker 3: wrestled on some back dad a massive regard and like
- 37:12Speaker 3: I did.
- 37:12Speaker 4: It, like I really thought, like I did it right.
- 37:14Speaker 4: That was it. If I never made it right.
- 37:18Speaker 1: One time, just one time I did. The Sheep guys
- 37:22Speaker 1: we were beating up Brandy Orton and they ran.
- 37:25Speaker 2: I remember that because that was most of it was
- 37:27Speaker 2: you guys, and ro Doug pulled me aside, like because
- 37:29Speaker 2: it was going into mania, right, yes, these guys cannot
- 37:33Speaker 2: hurt him like this is like it was kind of scary.
- 37:35Speaker 4: Oh yeah, Like they're putting the ship kicking Orton in
- 37:38Speaker 4: the sheep.
- 37:39Speaker 1: Mask like in the dark, and I was like off right,
- 37:40Speaker 1: but they were nervous, so they made actual guy like
- 37:43Speaker 1: the Ascension maybe sent one of the Ascension guys that
- 37:47Speaker 1: Simon gotcha and his partner and ate English had to
- 37:50Speaker 1: do it. And they were bummed. They were bummed that
- 37:52Speaker 1: they had to be sheep people with the extras.
- 37:54Speaker 4: Defeeding man, we have nothing for you on television, but
- 37:56Speaker 4: you know it is what it.
- 37:57Speaker 1: Is, uh okay? Jonathan Burgos During developmental, were there any
- 38:03Speaker 1: places you guys would hang out regularly. Any funny story.
- 38:06Speaker 4: Double Double D's was the spot and uh McDonough. That
- 38:10Speaker 4: was wild.
- 38:10Speaker 2: But then honestly, Louisville maybe more fun because it's Fourth Street,
- 38:15Speaker 2: which is this awesome like strip of like all these
- 38:18Speaker 2: different bars and it's got like there's like I don't
- 38:21Speaker 2: know if it's all the time now, but there was
- 38:22Speaker 2: this rule where you could you could like go take
- 38:25Speaker 2: your drink to each spot.
- 38:26Speaker 4: You just like walk around the like they was shut
- 38:28Speaker 4: down the streets like cars.
- 38:30Speaker 1: And there's no cars.
- 38:30Speaker 2: And then it's like I want to say, it's like
- 38:32Speaker 2: a lot of areas are like enclosed and like yeah,
- 38:34Speaker 2: and you're allowed to just kind of like bar hop
- 38:36Speaker 2: with your drink.
- 38:36Speaker 4: It's almost like a like a Saint Patty's bark roll
- 38:39Speaker 4: every night. That's cool.
- 38:40Speaker 3: The first that we went out, I like blacked out
- 38:43Speaker 3: in the bushes and woke up in the bushes and
- 38:46Speaker 3: lost my.
- 38:47Speaker 4: Phone bright and the same night.
- 38:50Speaker 2: It was it was Derby weekend, which is like the
- 38:52Speaker 2: biggest party weekend and in Louisville and just sat when
- 38:56Speaker 2: the first time we got there and we went out
- 38:59Speaker 2: and like rage so hard, like we lost we like
- 39:02Speaker 2: lost each other. I woke up like a Casey James
- 39:04Speaker 2: apartment floor, like like not like.
- 39:06Speaker 4: Who he is? Where I was not? Like it was
- 39:08Speaker 4: just nuts?
- 39:09Speaker 2: Man was the partying was a blast, A lot of it.
- 39:12Speaker 2: I'd do with chas everyone will go and like just rage.
- 39:16Speaker 1: It was so fun, right, uh, Alyssa, Margaret, what is
- 39:20Speaker 1: the best piece of advice someone gave each of you
- 39:22Speaker 1: during billmental kind of kind of already.
- 39:25Speaker 4: I really wish you would preread these questions.
- 39:29Speaker 1: Sucking Chez Robinson, uh asked on Twitter. But now that
- 39:33Speaker 1: you guys don't work for the w W, would you
- 39:36Speaker 1: attend WrestleMania as fans?
- 39:37Speaker 4: No? No, that's an interesting question.
- 39:39Speaker 3: If if like Chelsea was in there, like like I
- 39:42Speaker 3: saw Russev went to see Lana, that's an exception.
- 39:44Speaker 4: That would be.
- 39:45Speaker 1: Exception in a box like he's sitting like yeah, yeah
- 39:49Speaker 1: thirty four, that's the exception.
- 39:50Speaker 3: But like I would go in complete hiding. I wouldn't
- 39:53Speaker 3: be a hat like face man, even though no pandemic
- 39:56Speaker 3: wear the mask woo head Ben why I wouldn't want
- 40:02Speaker 3: to get recognized.
- 40:03Speaker 1: All right, But yeah, you wouldn't be going fans, you'd
- 40:07Speaker 1: be going friends and family really yeah, Josh Hoaganzale is
- 40:12Speaker 1: best and worst match.
- 40:12Speaker 4: During your time in developmental.
- 40:15Speaker 3: Jeez, we had a couple of bangers with Deuce and Domino.
- 40:19Speaker 3: I definitely I remember when this is a bad match
- 40:22Speaker 3: that it is my fault. We were wrestling Charles the
- 40:26Speaker 3: Hammer Evans and uh Bam Neely what was he like
- 40:31Speaker 3: ox Oxen Hammer, So I remember the finish was supposed
- 40:35Speaker 3: to be I think, uh, ox has you like in
- 40:39Speaker 3: like a fallaway slam position, and I'm supposed to drop
- 40:42Speaker 3: kick from the top of missile, drop kick Brian's back
- 40:46Speaker 3: and then he landsed on one, two three. But for
- 40:48Speaker 3: some reason, like I don't know what the fuck I
- 40:50Speaker 3: was thinking, like I just did the drop kick and
- 40:53Speaker 3: I dropped kicked Oxes back, so.
- 40:55Speaker 4: He like slammed like world strugg slams Brian down. It
- 40:58Speaker 4: was something like he was supposed to feed, then you
- 41:00Speaker 4: jump before you fed.
- 41:01Speaker 3: Something like maybe or maybe I thought like I was
- 41:04Speaker 3: gonna kick in the road swing Brian like body slam
- 41:06Speaker 3: roll up style. I don't know if there was miscommunication
- 41:09Speaker 3: or what, but either way, the funk ups on me
- 41:12Speaker 3: because I kicked him back, he drops him. So then
- 41:14Speaker 3: we like we Luckily we had another finish lined up
- 41:17Speaker 3: that we did, but it was I hate messing up,
- 41:20Speaker 3: and like, that's when it's on you.
- 41:22Speaker 4: It's on you.
- 41:22Speaker 2: And I think in that same match I used to
- 41:24Speaker 2: I used to this all time when I was a
- 41:25Speaker 2: baby face, Like you jumped daytail, so you jump off
- 41:28Speaker 2: the second and turn into a cross body like run
- 41:30Speaker 2: up like up and over style, you spin and I slipped, yeah,
- 41:33Speaker 2: and I give it to like I basically catch him
- 41:35Speaker 2: like an ankle across body. And then the other guy
- 41:39Speaker 2: had this whole thing was Sean and Hunter were there
- 41:41Speaker 2: basically scoting over there to like shut it down retrospect,
- 41:45Speaker 2: and I remember albuting.
- 41:46Speaker 4: Like you guys were spooked. D X was here and
- 41:48Speaker 4: you know you spooked kind of thing.
- 41:50Speaker 2: Were like, I don't really think that was it. We
- 41:52Speaker 2: just had a ship match out, but thanks, huh.
- 41:54Speaker 1: I was gonna say, well, I can't believe you don't
- 41:56Speaker 1: remember that.
- 41:57Speaker 4: I don't know if that's the same one. But Charles
- 41:59Speaker 4: A M Were like it was he's this big dude.
- 42:02Speaker 4: It was hard to work him. How old is that?
- 42:04Speaker 4: Their manager was Tomaso? Yeah, there their manager.
- 42:08Speaker 2: It wasn't even like allowed to be a wrestler though
- 42:09Speaker 2: he signed was Tomasa Champa when we worked them, whoa.
- 42:13Speaker 4: He's just like he was like a Thomas pen and
- 42:15Speaker 4: he was like the skinny like nerd character.
- 42:17Speaker 1: Oh I know, I wrestled Thomas on the Indies way back.
- 42:21Speaker 1: It's like a six man.
- 42:23Speaker 4: We actually pinned him.
- 42:24Speaker 2: I pinned him to win the tag titles because it's
- 42:27Speaker 2: like a special match where we make it's like three
- 42:29Speaker 2: on two and we make him be in there.
- 42:30Speaker 3: And I wish I don't have any pictures of us
- 42:33Speaker 3: with the tag titles besides the one of us Brad
- 42:35Speaker 3: Jay and our whole coc and.
- 42:37Speaker 4: Cupboard cutout that before out the four Street One Night.
- 42:40Speaker 2: Yeah, we came in and within a weeks we were
- 42:43Speaker 2: the tag champs and Brad was the heavyweight chat but.
- 42:45Speaker 4: I think we all lived together. Yeah, I think we
- 42:47Speaker 4: hated Yeah.
- 42:49Speaker 1: Uh Coley Peak. Did any larger stars such as Ray
- 42:53Speaker 1: seen a Taker, Triple AhR Orton give you any advice?
- 42:55Speaker 1: He says, once you hit the main roster, But was
- 42:58Speaker 1: there any kind of connection? Did any of those guys
- 43:02Speaker 1: ever show up to developmentals?
- 43:03Speaker 2: So people come all the time to do big shows,
- 43:05Speaker 2: especially Obi w because would have those the six Wakes
- 43:08Speaker 2: shows and they'd always have like a big headliner. God dude,
- 43:12Speaker 2: we hung out with them while two weeks before he
- 43:15Speaker 2: died all night long, like on Fourth Street and bar
- 43:18Speaker 2: hopped with.
- 43:18Speaker 4: Them and hung it like just us him and like
- 43:20Speaker 4: Jesse and Festus. Was that Fourth Street we like?
- 43:23Speaker 2: Would we started there, I want to say, and then
- 43:25Speaker 2: went to like other bars and yeah what.
- 43:27Speaker 3: Yeah, I definitely remember going out with them. Oh yeah,
- 43:30Speaker 3: I don't remember. I didn't know where it was, but
- 43:32Speaker 3: I remember that and he was so intimating and he
- 43:35Speaker 3: wanted to say the wrong thing. But he liked us
- 43:37Speaker 3: a lot actually, So.
- 43:37Speaker 4: I don't know if we told we tell the Benwall story.
- 43:40Speaker 2: No, okay, so you never talked about Yeah, well, early
- 43:43Speaker 2: in the podcast days were terrified to say his name.
- 43:45Speaker 3: But then while for somebody took a liking to us.
- 43:48Speaker 3: I think he realized that we were like like true fans,
- 43:51Speaker 3: and he would come to Deep South every once in
- 43:52Speaker 3: a while, so knew us there. So we were, you know,
- 43:54Speaker 3: we were doing live event loops and usually as the
- 43:58Speaker 3: major brothers, but not the main roster yet. So we'd
- 44:01Speaker 3: go up and we do a week in the loops
- 44:02Speaker 3: and then we'd usually have the dark match, but against
- 44:04Speaker 3: like Katea Murdoch or whatever. So we had a dark
- 44:07Speaker 3: match that's Cada Murdoch and ben Wa pulled us aside
- 44:10Speaker 3: and said like hey, like he didn't have to do this.
- 44:12Speaker 3: He said something like, I want to watch your match
- 44:14Speaker 3: with you in Catering because in Catering they usually.
- 44:16Speaker 2: Have like the we have the tape of the HS
- 44:18Speaker 2: tape into like a you know, TV with a VH
- 44:22Speaker 2: built into it, and you could like watch last week's stuff,
- 44:24Speaker 2: and he.
- 44:24Speaker 4: Wanted to like critique.
- 44:25Speaker 2: I said, you know, when none of the vets are there,
- 44:27Speaker 2: and if you see the TV is free, you tell
- 44:29Speaker 2: me and I'll watch it with you.
- 44:30Speaker 4: And we were like, okay, thanks Chris, and.
- 44:32Speaker 2: I'll bet I'll never forget this, Okay. So first he watched,
- 44:34Speaker 2: we watched the match. He gives us feed no no,
- 44:36Speaker 2: no skipped them. He says this to us in the day.
- 44:39Speaker 2: Obviously it's early to day.
- 44:40Speaker 4: The boys are all there, the TV is not free,
- 44:42Speaker 4: and I think you were like, hey, it's free.
- 44:43Speaker 2: We should ask him. He said something and said you're right.
- 44:45Speaker 2: So we find him nowhere near Catering, deep in the
- 44:48Speaker 2: bowels of this arena and he would always chew on
- 44:50Speaker 2: the coffee stir. He was walking chewing on a coffee
- 44:53Speaker 2: store and we're like, oh, mister manma, like the TV's free,
- 44:56Speaker 2: if you'd like to watch the match, you know, we'd
- 44:57Speaker 2: love to do it. And he her negles, he's the
- 45:00Speaker 2: we stir in his mouth.
- 45:00Speaker 4: He's like, let's go. It's just like scary. And then
- 45:05Speaker 4: he went and were like silent marching with Ben Wade
- 45:07Speaker 4: catering to watch the match. And then he watched them, and.
- 45:09Speaker 3: He couldn't have been cooler, asking us like who we
- 45:11Speaker 3: grew up like watching and who we wanted to be like.
- 45:15Speaker 4: So he gives us the feedback, great feedback. Whatever.
- 45:17Speaker 3: The next week. The next week, okay, the same tape
- 45:22Speaker 3: is playing, Chris is watching it. Chris thinks that it's
- 45:26Speaker 3: a new tape and that we didn't listen to his advice.
- 45:30Speaker 2: Oh no, And then now we have to correct him,
- 45:35Speaker 2: which is equally scary.
- 45:36Speaker 4: Likes that's less, that's.
- 45:40Speaker 1: Promise you like, oh my god, oh my god.
- 45:44Speaker 2: I don't know why we had Like the people who
- 45:45Speaker 2: didn't know us thought we were tough enough people.
- 45:47Speaker 4: Yeah, y'all from tough enough. I forget that we had this.
- 45:50Speaker 2: It's a ship match, It's what it's It's a major
- 45:52Speaker 2: brother main roster smack the match in the summer of seven,
- 45:55Speaker 2: and it's supposed to be a get over match with
- 45:58Speaker 2: us against Chavo and Jamie. Know when Java jam don't
- 46:01Speaker 2: do not want.
- 46:01Speaker 4: To Chavo the first of all.
- 46:03Speaker 2: Chava's the cruiserway chap and then they tell jab that
- 46:08Speaker 2: he can't get pid because he's not important to that Hessed.
- 46:11Speaker 2: It's a whole it was, I mean, and I don't
- 46:13Speaker 2: blame him for being pissed about it. And then like
- 46:16Speaker 2: we're calling it like Chava won't even speak to us,
- 46:18Speaker 2: he doesn't want to do it. Jamie sitting there like
- 46:21Speaker 2: I remember, like y'all from Tough Enough Rat, It's just
- 46:24Speaker 2: like silence.
- 46:25Speaker 4: Were like, what what are you talking about?
- 46:26Speaker 2: Like I don't know why we just had and like
- 46:28Speaker 2: I just had that like stigma just two like I
- 46:31Speaker 2: guess pretty twenty.
- 46:32Speaker 4: Three year old kids like men. You know, I don't
- 46:35Speaker 4: blame him.
- 46:36Speaker 1: I had no idea. You guys even talked to Ben whatever.
- 46:39Speaker 4: Yeah, and we we legit went out with him, partied
- 46:43Speaker 4: with him for sure. Yeah, We're we're on that loop.
- 46:46Speaker 4: That he's not there. We lived that whole weekend.
- 46:49Speaker 3: Yeah, fuck, I had no idea you ever hear The
- 46:53Speaker 3: fuck is horrible, But so like we all it's Monday
- 46:57Speaker 3: night row Vince had b blew up in the limbo
- 46:59Speaker 3: of the week before, right, so we have to be
- 47:00Speaker 3: at raw all in black.
- 47:02Speaker 4: We got the talent email. Everyone where funeral attire, so
- 47:05Speaker 4: there's like ready or whatever. So there's like a coffin,
- 47:08Speaker 4: like they're gonna it's gonna make a coffin on the stage.
- 47:10Speaker 4: So it was just really weird and we get curious.
- 47:12Speaker 3: Fuck man, we get called to ringside all in black
- 47:15Speaker 3: and like oh my god, like and that's where we
- 47:17Speaker 3: hear the news about Chris's passing the family and what
- 47:20Speaker 3: the tragedy and all that stuff.
- 47:22Speaker 4: But years later I found out J T.
- 47:25Speaker 3: G thought we were going to Wrestler's Court because he
- 47:28Speaker 3: was like messing around with rat. So so what he
- 47:35Speaker 3: hears that we're going, he thinks he's going to wrestler's court.
- 47:38Speaker 4: He hears his big meat.
- 47:39Speaker 2: He gets out there, he sees like triple A trapids
- 47:41Speaker 2: He's like, oh my god, this is the worst Wrestler's
- 47:43Speaker 2: court ever. Got so much heat and then it's that
- 47:46Speaker 2: and then like everyone forgot about the rout thing. Oh
- 47:49Speaker 2: my god, it's in his book. I'm not telling like
- 47:51Speaker 2: a Kpape story, it's it's in jtg's book.
- 47:54Speaker 4: I mean, there's something I don't really want to get into.
- 47:55Speaker 4: The whole weekend. I mean, we lived it.
- 47:57Speaker 2: It's there's a lot of stuff, but other like Vince
- 47:59Speaker 2: gives that message and everyone's just it's dead silence, and
- 48:02Speaker 2: then all of a sudden you just hear.
- 48:07Speaker 4: And then like I kind of like peer over and
- 48:08Speaker 4: it's Elijah Bird crying.
- 48:12Speaker 2: Like that.
- 48:13Speaker 4: Like there's just some weird scene.
- 48:14Speaker 2: Man, it was just like some what It's something that
- 48:17Speaker 2: like you just don't forget stuff if you live something
- 48:20Speaker 2: like that, Like I have so many vivid vivid vivid.
- 48:23Speaker 2: There's weekends of my career I've completely forgotten. Don't Eve
- 48:27Speaker 2: couldn't tell you one thing about I can tell you
- 48:29Speaker 2: literally every day. I will always remember that that building
- 48:32Speaker 2: for two reasons.
- 48:33Speaker 3: That and that is a building where I couldn't fix
- 48:36Speaker 3: the tire and cane the place Corpus Christy.
- 48:40Speaker 1: Yeah, oh Jeesus, Jesus.
- 48:52Speaker 4: I thought you were gonna say it's Vicky Guerrero or something.
- 48:55Speaker 2: Vicky was crying, got like escorted out team Michael grabbed round,
- 48:59Speaker 2: I remember, and then we're all sitting there like stun silence,
- 49:02Speaker 2: like it felt like twenty seconds maybe, and then that's
- 49:04Speaker 2: the first thing.
- 49:13Speaker 4: Yeah, oh my god, we all cry. All right.
- 49:19Speaker 1: A couple questions, all right, l vlog star, when you
- 49:25Speaker 1: were thinking of moves, what was one move that you'd
- 49:27Speaker 1: always wanted to do that you got to do it
- 49:30Speaker 1: and one that you have never attempted or landed?
- 49:33Speaker 4: You tell the crime time. So we didn't tell that.
- 49:35Speaker 4: Oh okay. So in OBW they watched Deep South. Yes,
- 49:42Speaker 4: both parties were supposed to.
- 49:45Speaker 2: Both schools were instructed to, like, like we Deep South
- 49:48Speaker 2: to have our tape review of our show, and we
- 49:50Speaker 2: were supposed to. It was supposed to bleed into right
- 49:53Speaker 2: away we watch job W. It was like a mandatory thing.
- 49:55Speaker 2: But Jody Hamlson be like, we're the best. God damn,
- 49:57Speaker 2: we're not watching that bullshit, Like he didn't want to
- 49:59Speaker 2: still like watch, so we never watched it. We would
- 50:01Speaker 2: steal it like the DVDs would come and we were
- 50:03Speaker 2: supposed to watch it, and like we would steal and
- 50:05Speaker 2: watch it like or take it home and watch.
- 50:06Speaker 4: It or whatever. But we were never forced to watch it.
- 50:09Speaker 2: Apparently like al was following the rules in OBW and
- 50:11Speaker 2: they would do theirs and they were they would sit
- 50:13Speaker 2: through boring ass deep South shows like forced.
- 50:15Speaker 4: To watch us. They were seeing us all the time.
- 50:17Speaker 4: I think you came up with the the move. Yeah.
- 50:20Speaker 3: So the move is like Brian has them up like
- 50:22Speaker 3: in a samoan drop, and then I got on the
- 50:25Speaker 3: second and I do like almost like a blockbuster as
- 50:27Speaker 3: he does.
- 50:27Speaker 4: The samo and drop. Yeah. The wait do you guys
- 50:29Speaker 4: do tonight? We haven't done since we watched it. Oh, bro,
- 50:32Speaker 4: I was gonna kill him in Saudio Arabia.
- 50:34Speaker 2: I still don't even think it's my fault, of course,
- 50:36Speaker 2: because Brian will never take it fifty to fifty, I'd
- 50:38Speaker 2: still say, Brian, oh, I.
- 50:40Speaker 1: Remember this right.
- 50:41Speaker 4: You need to wait for me to connect before you bump.
- 50:44Speaker 3: Brian bumped. There's I cannot I'm not spider man. I
- 50:47Speaker 3: can't catch up. Once you fall, I can't catch up.
- 50:49Speaker 3: There's nothing I can do. Taking full credit it, but
- 50:52Speaker 3: you bumped before I before I get.
- 50:54Speaker 4: Like, we've done it a million times. I don't know.
- 50:57Speaker 4: I need to raise him and then you budn't feel
- 51:00Speaker 4: like I did anything different. That's whatever. We watched it
- 51:03Speaker 4: there in Saudi Arabia and then anything. So we do
- 51:09Speaker 4: it in Deep South. It's our finish and like we're
- 51:11Speaker 4: the chance. I mean, we do it all the time
- 51:13Speaker 4: like it's our thing. It's our thing, and especially if
- 51:14Speaker 4: you're forced to watch the show.
- 51:15Speaker 3: Here's another thing that I like. Another like Bill would
- 51:18Speaker 3: beg us do things for some reason. He would like
- 51:21Speaker 3: make us like flip flop it sometimes like just he's
- 51:24Speaker 3: like and I didn't understand why, Like but the Hart
- 51:26Speaker 3: Foundation don't flip flop. Yeah, and like so we had
- 51:29Speaker 3: to like flip up and it was always this awkward
- 51:31Speaker 3: you know when you.
- 51:32Speaker 4: Yeah, of course.
- 51:33Speaker 3: So Pat Buck he called Mew and I guess they
- 51:37Speaker 3: were watching the tape and Crime Time so and they said, like.
- 51:40Speaker 2: Stealing it and they knew they were debuting and they
- 51:43Speaker 2: needed to finish on Raw and they're like stealing it.
- 51:46Speaker 4: And Pat's like, hey, dude, I'm pretty sure they could
- 51:48Speaker 4: like debuting Raw Monday and use your guys finished just
- 51:50Speaker 4: get mer heads up. We're like, nah, they won't do that.
- 51:52Speaker 4: We don't know them at all. We've never met them, Like,
- 51:54Speaker 4: no way they did. We're watching all that night.
- 51:58Speaker 3: Here, sure, and they did it a little differently where
- 52:01Speaker 3: like they don't JTG isn't on the second he's like
- 52:04Speaker 3: running and does it, which I don't think looks as impactful.
- 52:07Speaker 4: But whatever, they did it so then we couldn't do it. Wow.
- 52:11Speaker 2: Yeah, that's insane, But that's pro wrestling. I mean, Heath
- 52:14Speaker 2: will tell you if if we got him down the
- 52:16Speaker 2: hall is he never shuts up about it. That Ziggler
- 52:19Speaker 2: did the same thing to He debuted as Dolph Ziggler,
- 52:21Speaker 2: and Heath was doing the zig zagg developmental for years
- 52:24Speaker 2: and it was like his move and he just.
- 52:26Speaker 4: Flat out like, but that's that's the wrestling business, right. Yeah.
- 52:30Speaker 3: I remember Michael Hayes once told me that I had
- 52:33Speaker 3: to stop doing my jumping clothes line in the comeback
- 52:36Speaker 3: because Roman Reigns does it. Said Michael, it's a closed line,
- 52:40Speaker 3: Like I'm not doing the spear here.
- 52:42Speaker 2: One time I beat like a ray On Main Event
- 52:46Speaker 2: or whatever Superstars with my top row belbow, which if
- 52:49Speaker 2: I ever won, I would do that years years and years.
- 52:52Speaker 2: He goes, what in the hell was that? And I
- 52:54Speaker 2: was like what what the top row bilbow? I'm like,
- 52:57Speaker 2: you can't do that.
- 52:58Speaker 4: I see him punks move and I was like, what
- 53:01Speaker 4: is it? I'm taking crazy pills. I wish you would
- 53:05Speaker 4: say it now because everyone does anyone else's moves that now?
- 53:07Speaker 2: Right?
- 53:08Speaker 4: Yeah? Good luck?
- 53:10Speaker 1: Did you guys like was there like practice where like
- 53:12Speaker 1: you're working on moves or is that like open ring
- 53:14Speaker 1: type type ring stuff?
- 53:16Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 53:16Speaker 2: Yeah there you like it didn't really exist though a
- 53:19Speaker 2: developmentally just open ring where you can do stuff if
- 53:22Speaker 2: you wanted to stay extra. It was never like, all right,
- 53:24Speaker 2: here's here's an open ring time how to stay extra?
- 53:27Speaker 4: Right right right?
- 53:28Speaker 2: You did so much drills and bumping, Like fuck, what
- 53:31Speaker 2: else could you do? Like because stay back and tout
- 53:33Speaker 2: out this power bomb.
- 53:34Speaker 4: With me and nobody wants to do Ye need a
- 53:38Speaker 4: part three? You can keep going?
- 53:39Speaker 1: It's too many story Daniel Brewer The living situation when
- 53:43Speaker 1: you hit when you get to the city, are you
- 53:46Speaker 1: living with three or four guys to an apartment living
- 53:50Speaker 1: w deep South?
- 53:51Speaker 2: Either Deep South is us together and deep sad? We
- 53:54Speaker 2: move into this apartment beautiful, I think it was.
- 53:57Speaker 4: I don't know. It's brand new, no one ever lived
- 53:59Speaker 4: in it.
- 53:59Speaker 2: Like what I felt like an unbelievable washing and dryer,
- 54:03Speaker 2: big nice kitchen there. When we got furniture, we got
- 54:06Speaker 2: the Washington dryer. Yeah yeah, we rent them. We made
- 54:09Speaker 2: and we made it like nice. Like we went and
- 54:11Speaker 2: got like a dining table, couch set, all this stuff.
- 54:15Speaker 2: And I think we signed we signed like a weird
- 54:18Speaker 2: like eight month lease or something like something weird like that,
- 54:21Speaker 2: and it was coming up.
- 54:22Speaker 4: Maybe it was just six months maybe, and it was
- 54:25Speaker 4: coming up.
- 54:26Speaker 2: And we knew like we wanted to be able to
- 54:28Speaker 2: like get go home as soon as possible, like once
- 54:30Speaker 2: we like things situated and we got called up or.
- 54:32Speaker 3: Whatever back then, Like okay, now NX is different, it's
- 54:36Speaker 3: not developmental anymore.
- 54:37Speaker 2: Right, we know that the people are there forever five years.
- 54:41Speaker 2: Sometimes it wasn't like that and we wor deep South.
- 54:43Speaker 2: It was either there for a year or so or
- 54:45Speaker 2: you're fired.
- 54:46Speaker 4: It was like a you're fired, you don't have to stay.
- 54:48Speaker 4: It's like no one will just stay in mcdime like
- 54:51Speaker 4: we called up soon or not.
- 54:52Speaker 2: I like to have that lease and to bound the least.
- 54:54Speaker 2: There's a lot of money, like right, OK, you don't
- 54:56Speaker 2: want to be in that situation. So then we really
- 54:59Speaker 2: hit it off with Danny Inferno was Danny Jimondo and
- 55:02Speaker 2: he was living with this girl. I don't know if
- 55:04Speaker 2: they were like engage or something. And then they had
- 55:06Speaker 2: this awesome house that we would go hang out with
- 55:08Speaker 2: then watch wrestling. It was like an it was a
- 55:11Speaker 2: house house, Yeah it connect Was it connected to another
- 55:13Speaker 2: house or is it stand alone? Remember I think it's
- 55:16Speaker 2: a standalone. And then like they broke up and he
- 55:20Speaker 2: had this awesome, like unbelievably furnished, big house that we
- 55:23Speaker 2: go hang out watch wrestling, and then like they broke up,
- 55:24Speaker 2: and I guess she took all the stuff.
- 55:26Speaker 4: We went over one day and he was like watching
- 55:27Speaker 4: wrestling in a lawn chair in this big living room.
- 55:29Speaker 4: We're like what the hell.
- 55:31Speaker 2: And we're like, well, our lease is coming up, like
- 55:33Speaker 2: we'll move in with all our stuff and that way
- 55:35Speaker 2: we can help you pay the rent. And then like
- 55:37Speaker 2: we don't have a lease, we have to break you
- 55:39Speaker 2: know who. We can just bail when we bail, And
- 55:41Speaker 2: he was like, oh deal. So we had this like
- 55:42Speaker 2: big cool house for a long time. How long were
- 55:44Speaker 2: you there?
- 55:45Speaker 4: Another six month till the end?
- 55:46Speaker 1: I remember we was so you only lived in that
- 55:48Speaker 1: apartment for like six months, but feels the eternity.
- 55:50Speaker 2: It feels like for I think it was like a
- 55:51Speaker 2: weird like eight months May we did four months with Inferno.
- 55:54Speaker 3: I remember we went because now we had a backyard,
- 55:56Speaker 3: and we went to Walmart and got a trampoline and.
- 55:58Speaker 4: One day I bought him. We went and just got
- 55:59Speaker 4: a tramplate and would just mess around the trampline in
- 56:02Speaker 4: the back. Yeah, doesn't gall. No, I don't know where
- 56:08Speaker 4: it went. I mean it's got dead and gone. Oh yeah,
- 56:11Speaker 4: it must be.
- 56:12Speaker 2: And then in Louisville we did kind of the same thing,
- 56:15Speaker 2: but we got a three bedroom with Brad Jay with
- 56:17Speaker 2: the same intentions of like we gotta get.
- 56:20Speaker 1: Out of here, all right, Ben King, He must be Australian.
- 56:23Speaker 1: Were there any Australians in developmental during your time and
- 56:26Speaker 1: did they enjoy McDonough No, No, there wasn't.
- 56:31Speaker 4: As many like international, especially McDonough like there a lot
- 56:34Speaker 4: of people. Yeah, not a lot of Like there was
- 56:37Speaker 4: like probably teny Omega and shot Tala from Canada. I
- 56:40Speaker 4: can't think of anyone.
- 56:41Speaker 1: Else even oh, he says, yeah, he says Canada.
- 56:43Speaker 4: And TJ eventually came from Canada. You can't think of
- 56:45Speaker 4: like Kofe was from Boston, Jamaica. Boston, Jamaica.
- 56:54Speaker 1: Nathan Ramos in developmental do you learn how to go
- 56:58Speaker 1: through a table?
- 56:59Speaker 4: Or is it more okay a funny story.
- 57:01Speaker 3: So I remember we were wrestling Mike Knox and I
- 57:04Speaker 3: believe Derek Nikerk, and we convinced Jody Hamilton to let
- 57:08Speaker 3: me go through a table. But we had to go
- 57:10Speaker 3: buy one, and we drove around and we finally found one,
- 57:13Speaker 3: and it was like it was like a wooden table.
- 57:14Speaker 3: It was like a little smaller. We still used it
- 57:17Speaker 3: and I went through it and for the longest time,
- 57:19Speaker 3: I saved like a piece of the broken table.
- 57:20Speaker 4: But I don't know where it is.
- 57:21Speaker 2: I think he might have got lost in one of
- 57:23Speaker 2: my moves. Wow, but nobody taught me how to do it.
- 57:25Speaker 2: I love that Knox Sniker for fun to wrestle. We
- 57:27Speaker 2: had a good, really good match to them. I remember
- 57:30Speaker 2: at the arena. Not that loud of that one.
- 57:32Speaker 1: A couple more questions. This is a good one, Marcus Avitilla.
- 57:38Speaker 1: What was the hardest drill you guys had to do
- 57:40Speaker 1: during developmental training?
- 57:42Speaker 2: I think a good I don't think you've ever really
- 57:44Speaker 2: done a good doctor Tom, Like what you've done a
- 57:47Speaker 2: real doctor?
- 57:47Speaker 4: I guess you did.
- 57:48Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, yeah, there's one dude, one time. I'll never
- 57:51Speaker 2: forget this. At FCW we're doing a Doctor Tom. I
- 57:54Speaker 2: don't even think I was hungover. It's just so hard
- 57:56Speaker 2: and so much stuff. Maybe I was hungover, but I
- 57:58Speaker 2: looked at Tom. I said, Tom, I'm not even blow up,
- 58:00Speaker 2: but I'm about to ship my pants from like being
- 58:02Speaker 2: blown up or something like either I show my pants
- 58:04Speaker 2: is ring and I stop, or like, you gotta give
- 58:05Speaker 2: me a break and I like had to bail and
- 58:07Speaker 2: like go to the bathroom.
- 58:07Speaker 4: It was so hard.
- 58:08Speaker 1: And Jeff did that one time. Yeah, but he never
- 58:10Speaker 1: came back. Did you get back? What do you remember that?
- 58:13Speaker 2: I mean, Joe, Joe Bronson and MJF have shipped Creator Pro.
- 58:16Speaker 2: It's like they come there to ship. It drives me nuts.
- 58:19Speaker 2: Well no bathrooms at their homes or something.
- 58:21Speaker 4: It's like nuts.
- 58:22Speaker 1: Actually this was I think Max got in trouble for this.
- 58:24Speaker 1: But he is in the middle of the Doctor Tom.
- 58:26Speaker 1: We all do the Doctor Tom.
- 58:28Speaker 4: You have to do.
- 58:29Speaker 1: It's like an unwritten rule.
- 58:30Speaker 4: You hear it. Quit the point of the docor Tom.
- 58:33Speaker 2: It goes above and beyond a match endurance and cardio
- 58:36Speaker 2: so you're ready for your no match can be too
- 58:39Speaker 2: hard for you because you're over you compt yeah.
- 58:41Speaker 4: Exactly, which I think is genius. It works.
- 58:43Speaker 3: But I think that's the kind of drill that I
- 58:44Speaker 3: do appreciate, because sometimes I think drills are stupid. That
- 58:48Speaker 3: is a drill I think is beneficial and has a purpose.
- 58:51Speaker 1: I would request that Brian, like, what do you guys
- 58:52Speaker 1: want to do? I would say doctor.
- 58:53Speaker 4: Tocause I think it's like more bang for your bucks,
- 58:55Speaker 4: just if you're going to train and do it, get it.
- 58:57Speaker 4: I agree some things that I hated doing this might
- 59:00Speaker 4: sound like it's minor.
- 59:01Speaker 1: Well, hold on, by the way, So Max left in
- 59:03Speaker 1: the middle of the Doctor Tom and went to the
- 59:05Speaker 1: bathroom and then never did the drill, and then you
- 59:07Speaker 1: got in trouble. Never finished that there was either. I
- 59:10Speaker 1: think both you and Pa were there.
- 59:11Speaker 3: Really One drill that I hated, hated was the three
- 59:16Speaker 3: minute crisscross of the running the ropes hard and Bill
- 59:20Speaker 3: the Mott would blow the whistle and then you have
- 59:22Speaker 3: to do drop downs's three minutes three minutes.
- 59:27Speaker 4: It sucks.
- 59:27Speaker 2: Another thing It's basically like they equal them to someone
- 59:30Speaker 2: going run. And then when I say do a burpie,
- 59:33Speaker 2: do a burpie? About that sprinting and then whenever burpy
- 59:37Speaker 2: burpy and then keep sprinting for three minutes straight.
- 59:40Speaker 4: It's not not easy.
- 59:41Speaker 3: Some other drill I don't recall exactly what it was,
- 59:43Speaker 3: but it involved like me being in there were like
- 59:46Speaker 3: almost like everyone was doing stuff to me, and then
- 59:49Speaker 3: last Bill came in and just like laid on me,
- 59:51Speaker 3: big fat Bill and then turned the strobe lights in
- 59:54Speaker 3: the arena.
- 59:55Speaker 4: Do you remember that that?
- 59:56Speaker 2: Like what was that was one of those drills that
- 59:58Speaker 2: like people stoosed on them and like back to the office,
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: so I had to like die.
- 1:00:01Speaker 4: But that was right when we got there, Like there's
- 1:00:03Speaker 4: it was called something like I don't know, man in
- 1:00:06Speaker 4: the middle or whatever, and like he would just.
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: Be like Mike Body, Slam Brett Major, this guy do this,
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: and like just you just basically get fucked up for
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: twenty minutes and then he just Bill comes in for
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: the last five of where you're like worthless and just
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: like you kind of stretch you.
- 1:00:20Speaker 4: Like you can't do it, cross face you and lay
- 1:00:22Speaker 4: on you some reason to fucking like stroll lights were on,
- 1:00:24Speaker 4: Like remember that? Yeah I don't. Yeah, I can't remember that.
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: And I can't tell you why that was like weird
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: customs something. It was like very early in our deep
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: self running. And I always think he couldn't remember which
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: one he did it to. It's like I never did it.
- 1:00:37Speaker 4: I did. Yeah. I think we were so like new
- 1:00:41Speaker 4: and unidentified. I don't think he knew who was who,
- 1:00:43Speaker 4: and like I never had to do it. I did.
- 1:00:45Speaker 4: I'll tell you that. I ken Omega. I thought MA
- 1:00:48Speaker 4: was gonna die. Oh he was just laying on trying
- 1:00:50Speaker 4: to suffocate. Imagine being so blown up and then like
- 1:00:52Speaker 4: you can't like push yourself up and push up position
- 1:00:55Speaker 4: you're so blown you're and then done and then there's
- 1:00:56Speaker 4: three hundred man gets on you. He's cross facing, like yeah,
- 1:01:00Speaker 4: you're supposed to do. I can just smell his like
- 1:01:02Speaker 4: forearm close, smell his sweaty forums Cross's pretty traumatizing. I
- 1:01:09Speaker 4: love Bill. If he's listening, yeah.
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: Okay, all right, last last I love that.
- 1:01:14Speaker 4: Okay, he's not listening whatever.
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: Last question, especially not the Patreon Hard Foundation bonus.
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: You see William DeMott, sweet will Yeah, but I know
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: your email, big sweet, will you all right?
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: Last question just just a little happy one greatest and
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: most disappointing fig hunt during developmental you guys talk about we.
- 1:01:34Speaker 4: Touched on that.
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: We would literally like set up these map quest like
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: expeditions and just spend a whole Saturday like crushing it.
- 1:01:40Speaker 4: Any think any great remember disappointing one?
- 1:01:43Speaker 3: I do remember when we were in ov W we
- 1:01:45Speaker 3: were like almost like around the block from a Toys
- 1:01:48Speaker 3: r US.
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: Yeah, schools cool, let's thinks so close and I missed
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: t me too, and we'd hit that all the time. Yeah,
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: I can't recall I get disappointed. I mean, anytime you
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: go to five something, it's not that's disappointing, right right,
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: that's funny, Like we didn't have a lot of snaff foos,
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: like we're looking for the same stuff.
- 1:02:05Speaker 4: But I can't ever remember having like, oh no, this
- 1:02:07Speaker 4: is mine. They're like we didn't like. I didn't really like.
- 1:02:09Speaker 3: I think we told this before that we would this
- 1:02:11Speaker 3: before GPS. We map quest a bunch of Toys r
- 1:02:14Speaker 3: uses and to find the hellmet cell at the time,
- 1:02:17Speaker 3: which was cool.
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: Right, Yeah, the classics were when I think of developmental,
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: we were collecting deep into the classics and those were
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: coming like fresh, and we would always be looking for those,
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: and we were.
- 1:02:26Speaker 3: Using ring Side but before Code Major, so we weren't
- 1:02:29Speaker 3: getting that ten percent. And that's I remember I made
- 1:02:32Speaker 3: a deal with John from Ringside. I think I reached
- 1:02:34Speaker 3: this one my first relationship with John. I reached out
- 1:02:37Speaker 3: with him, reached out to him. I said like, hey,
- 1:02:39Speaker 3: you know, I'm in we developmental. Can I get some
- 1:02:41Speaker 3: sort of deal for these rocky figures like I buy
- 1:02:43Speaker 3: like the whole set.
- 1:02:44Speaker 4: They gave me a little deal. That's cool, that's where
- 1:02:46Speaker 4: the case.
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: It was probably ten percent, just gave me that.
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: Weirdly remember getting that first d CW said, meaning so
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: pumped because I was seeing punk source figure and I
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: was a big fan of this and that was like
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: a big I think we pre order those from Ringside.
- 1:02:58Speaker 4: It was so pumped.
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: Oh yeah, all right, cool?
- 1:03:01Speaker 4: Uh definitely not for part three, you guys.
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: I mean, there's it's just crazy, there's something so much,
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: all right, I mean there's some questions here that are
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: still left on the board. So and then obviously these
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: this will spawn more questions, I think, so so we'll
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: just keep going. We'll talk about training and all that,
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: and then eventually we'll move on to getting called up.
- 1:03:17Speaker 4: Yeah, and uh until then,
