October is Disability Employment Awareness Month, shining a light on the barriers people with disabilities still face in the workplace. In Connecticut, advocates say closing the gap means more than awareness — it means getting employers to hire inclusively. We asked Elizabeth Navarro, Deputy Director of Jobs at Best Buddies International, what the state has done well but can still improve upon when it comes to hiring people with disabilities.
