- 0:34what was that um well
- 0:40welcome everybody as corey
- 0:42is dying um we thought if
- 0:46we had a death on the show
- 0:47the ratings would go up um
- 0:51so uh he decided to choke
- 0:55uh coming out of the break
- 0:58maybe he's okay now we're good holy cow
- 1:04Sorry, y'all.
- 1:05That's usually my role, man.
- 1:06Right?
- 1:07That was timed to perfection.
- 1:09Jesus Christ.
- 1:11Wow.
- 1:13Joseph Vermeer must have had
- 1:15a hell of a bong rip.
- 1:17I can't even imagine, dude.
- 1:18My office is in a closet.
- 1:19Good Lord.
- 1:20Talk about fumigating the entire place.
- 1:26Oh, my goodness.
- 1:31Okay.
- 1:33Okay.
- 1:33I just threw everything on the way.
- 1:38But like, you know,
- 1:39I haven't been choking on air.
- 1:40I don't know if you guys have noticed.
- 1:41I got diagnosed with pneumonia, what,
- 1:45a week and a half ago.
- 1:46I got put on some antibiotics.
- 1:49Everything seems to be cleared up.
- 1:51Tomorrow,
- 1:51I actually have to go in for a
- 1:52test tomorrow morning for a
- 1:55pulmonary lung evaluation.
- 1:59So I guess they put you in a
- 2:00booth full of oxygen and
- 2:03you breathe normally and
- 2:06they test like how everything flows.
- 2:09And then and I'm not allowed
- 2:10to like have any caffeine
- 2:12or take any of my asthma
- 2:13medicine before I go.
- 2:15Then after they do all of that,
- 2:18then they give me like a
- 2:20breathing treatment and
- 2:22they're going to see how it
- 2:23all flows after that.
- 2:26I'm feeling that right off
- 2:27the right off the jump.
- 2:29No caffeine.
- 2:31Yeah.
- 2:33So that's tomorrow at like, I think.
- 2:37And so I have to go tomorrow morning,
- 2:39no caffeine and kind of get
- 2:41through the morning and
- 2:42then go do this test.
- 2:44And then after it's done,
- 2:45I can go back to whatever, but, um,
- 2:49it's been nice not choking
- 2:51all the time and getting,
- 2:53I got that before you.
- 2:55Um, but yeah, it's, uh,
- 2:58I guess it's been like a
- 2:59longterm pneumonia.
- 3:01Like it's been around for a
- 3:02while and just was
- 3:03misdiagnosed a couple of times.
- 3:05And what'd you say was the
- 3:08rock and pneumonia and the
- 3:10boogie boogie flu?
- 3:11Uh, probably not the food part.
- 3:15Yeah.
- 3:15I didn't, I didn't,
- 3:17I saw a lot of Oogie Boogies
- 3:20instead of Boogie Boogies.
- 3:23That is fair.
- 3:28Just for mirrors is just
- 3:29having bacon for lunch, man.
- 3:32He's living the dream if that's the case.
- 3:35Getting your protein in,
- 3:36but might need to watch the
- 3:38fat intake there, buddy.
- 3:42You can have fat.
- 3:43It's the sugar that kills you,
- 3:44coordinator.
- 3:46yeah so uh who needs lungs
- 3:48anyway overrated yeah
- 3:53overrated speaking of food
- 3:56oh my gosh my mom my mom my
- 4:00mom my wife my wife will
- 4:02kill me for saying that ah
- 4:09Anyway, my wife last night,
- 4:12so we went to Pennsylvania
- 4:14over the weekend and then
- 4:15two late night football games.
- 4:17Last night after work,
- 4:19I was downright wasted.
- 4:23I got on the couch and I
- 4:25went out for a couple hours
- 4:27like last night.
- 4:28It was awesome.
- 4:29I haven't had a nap in like years.
- 4:32So anyway, I wake up.
- 4:34My wife had stuffed banana peppers.
- 4:38with beef and sausage and a
- 4:41little bit of marinara sauce.
- 4:43Oh my gosh, man.
- 4:45It was freaking incredible.
- 4:49Incredible.
- 4:50They just had like a nice heat to them.
- 4:53Yeah.
- 4:54Um, with the stuffing and she, uh,
- 4:58put Parmesan cheese in the meat.
- 4:59So it kind of like, you know,
- 5:06Yeah.
- 5:06That's right.
- 5:06That's the best way to wake up from a nap.
- 5:09Yeah.
- 5:09Great way to, yeah.
- 5:10Like literally I wake up and she's like,
- 5:12Hey, you want supper?
- 5:13And she went,
- 5:13she like prepared me a plate
- 5:15and brought it.
- 5:15I don't,
- 5:16I don't know if my wife has done that, uh,
- 5:18in years.
- 5:22Usually my wife is like,
- 5:23get it your damn self.
- 5:24Um, but yeah, like it was pretty,
- 5:27pretty cool.
- 5:29And it was great.
- 5:32That's amazing.
- 5:34steamy roland uh yum living
- 5:36the life I need a wife
- 5:40highly recommend it I saw
- 5:44it uh just eat meat and
- 5:48fruit and you'll you'll
- 5:50just need baby wipes in the
- 5:51bathroom there you go he
- 5:54ain't wrong he ain't wrong
- 5:58oh man what's up with you man
- 6:01Oh, living a sore life.
- 6:06Training, living, working.
- 6:10Finally getting my hair cut.
- 6:11Thank God.
- 6:15Travis says, rather than get a wife,
- 6:17he's just going to cook himself.
- 6:21I think my boy's been burned.
- 6:22A little bit.
- 6:24A little bit, a little bit, a little bit.
- 6:27See, Lito,
- 6:29she says her husband would
- 6:29starve without her.
- 6:32It's opposite at my house.
- 6:35Not long after me and my wife,
- 6:39when she was my girlfriend,
- 6:41fiance at the time, moved in together,
- 6:43she told my mom that I
- 6:45could never leave because if I did,
- 6:47they would starve.
- 6:51Yeah.
- 6:52I do the vast majority of
- 6:55the cooking around my office.
- 6:57Lita says her husband would
- 6:58starve without her.
- 7:03My diet would be Pop-Tarts
- 7:04and frozen pizza without mine.
- 7:07I mean, I've heard of worse.
- 7:13I've heard of worse.
- 7:14I remember my college days.
- 7:16It was whatever I could find
- 7:19at that point.
- 7:22Lita says you would be the dream, Corey.
- 7:26No, that would be the dream.
- 7:27Sorry.
- 7:27What?
- 7:30I learned to cook a very, very, very,
- 7:34very long time ago.
- 7:37Very long time ago.
- 7:37Had to.
- 7:42And just kind of kept it up
- 7:43and kept it up and kept it up.
- 7:44My dad is a phenomenal cook.
- 7:45My mother is too.
- 7:49But my dad does most of the
- 7:50cooking at home as well.
- 7:54I make his gumbo.
- 7:55I make spaghetti the way he
- 7:57makes spaghetti.
- 7:58It's that kind of shit like that.
- 8:01And it kind of expanded on it from there.
- 8:03But I enjoy it.
- 8:05And the more I get into
- 8:10competitive training where
- 8:11I'm paying attention to
- 8:12what I eat and whatnot,
- 8:13I have to figure out how
- 8:15the best way to batch cook
- 8:17five pounds of chicken
- 8:19thighs is on a Sunday.
- 8:22So I get it done so I can go
- 8:23do whatever the other shit
- 8:24that I have to do around the house,
- 8:25which is, you know,
- 8:26keep the grass cut and
- 8:29anything needs to fix it.
- 8:30I still got to go train and
- 8:32wash clothes and all the
- 8:33other good stuff.
- 8:34So got to be very good at
- 8:36cooking stuff real quick
- 8:38that tastes real good.
- 8:41Yeah, in my household, like,
- 8:43I'm the better cook.
- 8:44Like, I have a more diverse background.
- 8:47I've cooked for a job before.
- 8:49I was a short-order cook for a while.
- 8:52Like, I can cook, and I know, like,
- 8:54flavor profiles and what to
- 8:55mix with stuff.
- 8:57Then my wife, like,
- 8:58she's that pitcher that has, like,
- 9:02two really great pitches,
- 9:04but you're going to get
- 9:05those pitches and you're going to be,
- 9:08they're going to be strikes every time.
- 9:10Right.
- 9:11And like stuff like that, like Italian,
- 9:13she nails it.
- 9:15Like, um, if you,
- 9:16and if you think like in your head,
- 9:17like old fashioned meals, like,
- 9:22like, like stroganoff with like steak and,
- 9:27and noodles and stuff like that.
- 9:28Like she will drill that
- 9:30stuff home every single time.
- 9:35But my wife will admit that
- 9:40I'm a better cook than her.
- 9:41And my wife says she hates to cook.
- 9:44And she would prefer me to be the cook.
- 9:47But,
- 9:48but she does some things she is really,
- 9:51really good at.
- 9:52That's the same thing we got
- 9:53going on at my house.
- 9:56My wife will tell you flat out,
- 9:58it's not that she doesn't
- 9:59know how to cook.
- 10:00She doesn't like to do it.
- 10:02She's forgotten that she was browned.
- 10:07She's cooking onions to make
- 10:08spaghetti sauce one day.
- 10:10This was years ago.
- 10:11And she flat forgot it was on the stove.
- 10:13That happens a lot.
- 10:13Like she'll go to cooking
- 10:14stuff and then she'll get
- 10:15into doing something else
- 10:16and just forget that it's in there.
- 10:18So like I'll come home every
- 10:20once in a while.
- 10:20She likes to bake.
- 10:21She can bake, dude.
- 10:22It's ridiculous.
- 10:23But I'll come home every
- 10:24once in a while and I'm like,
- 10:26what is that smell?
- 10:27And she's like,
- 10:27get up from what she's
- 10:30doing and go run to the
- 10:32oven or go run to the stove
- 10:33because she forgot.
- 10:34Literally, she forgets she was cooking.
- 10:37It's hilarious.
- 10:38Lest we forget, while on the air,
- 10:40a couple months ago,
- 10:43the fire department showed
- 10:44up at my house because my
- 10:47wife had said...
- 10:49burgers on fire uh in a pan
- 10:51forgot about him and uh
- 10:53yeah and that was not the
- 10:55first time and it probably
- 10:57won't be the last I thought
- 11:00that was absolutely
- 11:01hilarious goodness while
- 11:03live on the air my alarm
- 11:05goes off it was awesome
- 11:11that was fantastic uh no
- 11:13besides that dude not much um
- 11:18Just got our Airbnb book
- 11:20this morning for Legends in December.
- 11:25Still looking at what we're
- 11:27going to rent to drive around in Tippie,
- 11:29but we got part one done,
- 11:31which is we got our place.
- 11:33Yeah.
- 11:39I accidentally forgot
- 11:40chicken on the grill until
- 11:41the gas ran out.
- 11:44I didn't forget it,
- 11:45but I have run out of gas
- 11:46before in the middle of
- 11:47cooking and had to like,
- 11:48leave everything close, take my tank,
- 11:51go run in the store, swap them out,
- 11:53come back in and finish it off.
- 12:01If I wouldn't believe me, Dan,
- 12:04we got my wife's actually coming.
- 12:06So it's going to be me,
- 12:07her probably Brody and, and, uh,
- 12:14My boy Gareth, his wife,
- 12:15and possibly his youngest son as well.
- 12:18So I don't think the six of
- 12:20us are rolling around in a U-Haul.
- 12:23It's probably not a great idea.
- 12:26Leto asks, how does that work, Scott?
- 12:27The firemen show up just
- 12:28because the smoke alarm goes off.
- 12:30Our smoke alarm is hooked to
- 12:32our security system.
- 12:34And if you don't hit the code fast enough,
- 12:38the fire department will be
- 12:39dispatched to our house.
- 12:42What happens is my wife sets
- 12:44off the fire alarm.
- 12:45She thinks it's nineteen seventy eight.
- 12:47You just wave the towel over
- 12:48the smoke alarm and it'll shut off.
- 12:53You actually have to go to
- 12:54the keypad and hit the code.
- 12:56And she does it so slowly or
- 12:58forgets to do it.
- 12:59She's trying to just get the
- 13:01alarm to stop that by the
- 13:03time I get there to hit the code,
- 13:06the fire department is at our house.
- 13:08So she's dealing with the
- 13:09immediate problem,
- 13:11which is the noise and the smoke.
- 13:14And then when she gets that out of the way,
- 13:15she figures everything's fine.
- 13:17No big deal.
- 13:18And we just move on from there.
- 13:20Yeah, yeah.
- 13:24So, yeah.
- 13:27Simi says, what's legends?
- 13:28I thought CrossFit just had
- 13:29the old people.
- 13:32Okay, so, yeah,
- 13:32CrossFit did just have the old people.
- 13:34This is not that put on by the same people,
- 13:37but this is just the, hey,
- 13:39let's qualify for this and
- 13:40then go compete for three days in Tempe,
- 13:45Arizona.
- 13:48Phil the pooper says, when my wife cooks,
- 13:50the smoke detector is also
- 13:52our dinner bell.
- 13:52There you go.
- 14:00Terrible.
- 14:00And Lita said, oh my God,
- 14:02they'd be at our house once
- 14:03a month if that was the case.
- 14:06We've had to talk to the
- 14:07police a couple of times,
- 14:09but it was because the
- 14:10alarm went off and we
- 14:13couldn't get to it to turn
- 14:14it off fast enough.
- 14:16And they called to make sure
- 14:17everything was okay.
- 14:19had that that done before
- 14:20but not not the fire
- 14:21department thank god uh
- 14:23daniel church is a terrible
- 14:25towel uh yes my wife does
- 14:27have a terrible towel but
- 14:29that's not usually what she
- 14:30uses to try to quiet the
- 14:31smoke alarm that's too
- 14:32precious to her um and so
- 14:36therefore she just uses a
- 14:37regular old kitchen towel all right um
- 14:49Does anyone remember the
- 14:50triangle bell for dinner call?
- 14:51Just me?
- 14:53We actually had neighbors
- 14:55that actually had a hanging bell,
- 14:57hanging triangle.
- 14:59And when we'd be out playing,
- 15:00you'd hear that dinner bell go.
- 15:02And those kids would all go off running.
- 15:05We'd never heard that at my house, but...
- 15:08Jennifer Perrin and them,
- 15:10they have a whole bunch of
- 15:11like just random stuff
- 15:13outside of their house.
- 15:14Like they have, you know,
- 15:14a little coin operated kid
- 15:16ride that you ride.
- 15:16It just kind of does like that.
- 15:17They got a helicopter
- 15:19sitting out by the front door.
- 15:22At their house.
- 15:23At the house.
- 15:24Yeah.
- 15:24A hundred percent.
- 15:24They got, so the, the box is open.
- 15:27They got a whole bunch of
- 15:27quarters sitting in it.
- 15:28Like you still have to put a quarter in it,
- 15:29but then you just reach
- 15:31down the bottom out of the
- 15:32box and put a quarter.
- 15:33The kids love it.
- 15:34That's one of the things they also have,
- 15:35who is a,
- 15:37a bell attached to a big old long string.
- 15:39Cause we go over there.
- 15:42Thanksgiving is a big deal over there.
- 15:45Easter is Easter weekend is
- 15:46a big deal over there.
- 15:47So like everybody's there and there's.
- 15:49Forty-seven kids running around.
- 15:51So like to get everybody's attention,
- 15:53somebody will go.
- 15:55And because there's
- 15:55forty-seven kids running around,
- 15:57sometimes the bell just
- 15:58gets rung for two minutes
- 16:00at a time because
- 16:01somebody's just yanking on
- 16:02it and enjoying the shit
- 16:03out of themselves.
- 16:05six years old and you know
- 16:06how to make noise tends to
- 16:09be a thing to just go ahead
- 16:10and make as much of it as
- 16:10humanly possible and if you
- 16:11have a bell handy a pretty
- 16:16darn loud one at that yeah
- 16:18good stuff dude did you uh
- 16:22did you catch uh savan's
- 16:24wfp rant last night I was
- 16:27in the process of finishing
- 16:28it up when he went when he
- 16:30went live with coach this morning so bro
- 16:36So on that note,
- 16:38I just wanted to share this.
- 16:39I saw this last night and I was like,
- 16:41cause I watched it.
- 16:43I watched it after I saw this on Instagram,
- 16:45but this is WFP story.
- 16:48And I, and I love the media people, right?
- 16:50Like we all do.
- 16:52Right.
- 16:53But here is meet the media
- 16:54team and they show like
- 16:57little clips of their media team,
- 17:00all getting ready or doing their thing.
- 17:02Right.
- 17:08Why are we doing this when
- 17:09people still don't
- 17:10understand the point system?
- 17:13Yeah, I don't get that at all.
- 17:16How is this getting you
- 17:17excited to watch an event?
- 17:22It's... It's not... It makes
- 17:28no dang sense at all, man.
- 17:31It's not.
- 17:33No...
- 17:35I won't say nobody cares.
- 17:36That's not true.
- 17:37The people that take
- 17:38pictures of me have always
- 17:39made me look way fitter
- 17:40than I absolutely am.
- 17:42God bless them for that.
- 17:43The people who are on the floor announcing,
- 17:45the people who are on the broadcast,
- 17:47God bless them for that.
- 17:48That's not an easy job to do.
- 17:49I am well aware of that.
- 17:51We are two events in.
- 17:55Nobody still knows how.
- 17:57Nobody knows why.
- 17:59Nobody knows what.
- 18:00Like all the things, right?
- 18:01Who, what, when, where.
- 18:02We got who.
- 18:03We got the who now.
- 18:05The who is definitely now.
- 18:07But the why and the when.
- 18:09The who and the when.
- 18:10The why and the what and the how.
- 18:15No idea.
- 18:19Wait,
- 18:19you just told me there are two old
- 18:20people comps?
- 18:21I'm shook.
- 18:22That makes no sense.
- 18:23And neither does WTF.
- 18:26You want to take this one?
- 18:27Well, there are a lot of old people comps.
- 18:31There are really four major
- 18:32old people comps.
- 18:34There is the games.
- 18:36There is Masters Fitness Championships.
- 18:39There is Legends.
- 18:41And there's Waterpalooza.
- 18:42Yeah.
- 18:44Those are like your four
- 18:46main Masters competitions
- 18:48throughout the season.
- 18:50There is a rumor out there
- 18:51that WFP is adding a
- 18:55Masters division for next season.
- 18:57Correct.
- 19:00I personally think...
- 19:02They need to get their shit
- 19:03together with what they got
- 19:05before they add more.
- 19:08Maybe focus on what you have.
- 19:13So, yeah.
- 19:20They copied what was done at
- 19:21the games in Albany.
- 19:22Yeah, with the black and white photos,
- 19:24I guess.
- 19:27But everybody understands what CrossFit is,
- 19:30right?
- 19:30So you don't have to take
- 19:31the time to explain what it is.
- 19:37WFP is copying this stuff.
- 19:40And if you listen to Will on
- 19:42that podcast that Savan
- 19:44talked about yesterday,
- 19:46he says it's just like
- 19:47every other tour event.
- 19:49But the people in the
- 19:50CrossFit space who aren't
- 19:52sports watchers don't know
- 19:54what that means.
- 19:57And they're living on this
- 20:01preface that everybody
- 20:03knows what a tour event
- 20:04style season looks like.
- 20:08And nobody does.
- 20:10I'm telling my listeners
- 20:12that we talk every single
- 20:13day are in the chats going,
- 20:15I don't get the point system.
- 20:17I don't understand.
- 20:19And so...
- 20:22I've beat this dead horse
- 20:23about the road to Copenhagen.
- 20:25Nobody cares about the road
- 20:26to Copenhagen unless you
- 20:27understand the point system.
- 20:29And they've skipped over
- 20:31steps to do these cliche
- 20:35marketing pieces that make
- 20:37absolutely no sense to anybody.
- 20:40And I thought Sevan made a
- 20:41great point about that
- 20:43they're not even excited
- 20:44about their own product.
- 20:49Jason Ainsley was excited on
- 20:51Coffee Pods and Wads, right?
- 20:53And maybe he needs to be the
- 20:54spokesperson because Will
- 20:57laid back with your hat on
- 20:58backwards and I know I'm
- 21:01sounding like an old
- 21:02fifty-five year old man
- 21:04screaming at the clouds at
- 21:05these kids these days but
- 21:08it looks so laissez-faire
- 21:11and I think that that adds
- 21:13to why people are
- 21:17turned off by it is that oh
- 21:24no a hundred percent if you
- 21:28don't understand how like
- 21:31golf like golf works or
- 21:34tennis works because that's
- 21:36that's what like you know
- 21:37the pro tour type stuff
- 21:38where you can accumulate
- 21:39points or even uh nascar
- 21:41racing where you accumulate
- 21:42points over the season
- 21:45But those are very specific things.
- 21:48So if you don't understand
- 21:49how any of that works and
- 21:50somebody's just like, well,
- 21:50you just accumulate points
- 21:51and you just kind of move on from there.
- 21:53How?
- 21:54Like laissez faire.
- 21:56Yes, Jeff,
- 21:57that's exactly what I was thinking.
- 22:01You're never going to be
- 22:04able to pick that up.
- 22:05It's just not going to happen.
- 22:07Dan Church, I got to be honest,
- 22:08I don't watch other sports
- 22:09other than fitness.
- 22:11WFP makes more sense than
- 22:12every time HQ changes a
- 22:14qualifying process.
- 22:15That's why I was on board
- 22:16with WFP at the beginning.
- 22:19But there is a big chunk of
- 22:21people that do not
- 22:22understand the point system
- 22:25and what that means for
- 22:27people at the end of the season.
- 22:29That is where the fight is.
- 22:31The fight is for getting to
- 22:32the top twenty in points by
- 22:35the end of the season.
- 22:36So you have a salary for next year.
- 22:41But they're just not explaining it well.
- 22:43And even when I put out that
- 22:45graphic last week with a
- 22:47red line saying these are
- 22:48the people above the line,
- 22:49these are the people below the line,
- 22:51they put out slides.
- 22:53It's so dumb.
- 22:55I can't even believe I'm
- 22:56talking about this again.
- 22:58But I'm here on their site,
- 22:59so I'm going to pull it up.
- 23:03So here are the tour points.
- 23:05Finally, I'm thinking, oh, we got it.
- 23:07Well, here's the top twenty.
- 23:11Then here's the next ten.
- 23:14And then the next five out.
- 23:16Well,
- 23:16these five out aren't even in the
- 23:17competition.
- 23:19Why are you even including them?
- 23:22They didn't make it to
- 23:23Copenhagen for the finals.
- 23:26And there's no red line or
- 23:28nothing to understand like
- 23:30why these guys are on this
- 23:31page and why these guys are on this page.
- 23:38There's no explanation to it.
- 23:42They just leave it for
- 23:44everybody to kind of figure it out.
- 23:47And Dan may understand it,
- 23:49and I'm glad he does,
- 23:50but I've had so many people
- 23:52come to me and say they do not.
- 23:56They do not get it.
- 24:00So.
- 24:00I don't.
- 24:04I don't understand it.
- 24:06I understand the concept behind it,
- 24:07but like.
- 24:10Again,
- 24:11I'm one hundred percent with you on
- 24:13the why are we even showing
- 24:14these these these other five people?
- 24:16What does that even on the
- 24:17graphic for you had space
- 24:19you thought you think you
- 24:19need to fill up?
- 24:20Just make it bigger.
- 24:24From what I understand,
- 24:25after the first two,
- 24:28the leaderboard is more or less set.
- 24:30It's not a whole lot that's
- 24:30going to change once you
- 24:32actually get to Copenhagen.
- 24:33Somebody was talking about
- 24:33that a couple of weeks ago.
- 24:35More or less,
- 24:37this is what you're looking at,
- 24:39which is kind of what we
- 24:39figured from the very beginning.
- 24:41So again, you're showing stuff up there.
- 24:43Why not just put that out?
- 24:44Hey, this is what we got going on.
- 24:46These are where these people are.
- 24:48If this, then that.
- 24:50If this happens,
- 24:52then this person could move up.
- 24:53If this happens,
- 24:54then this person could move up.
- 24:55But if you don't have
- 24:56anybody to explain that,
- 24:59whether it be in a reel,
- 25:01on a broadcast somewhere, written down,
- 25:05just typed out as part of that graphic.
- 25:11here's your top ten, top twenty,
- 25:12whatever it is.
- 25:13Here's your next level of people.
- 25:17If these people do X, Y, Z,
- 25:19and this happens here,
- 25:21then they can get whatever
- 25:22it is at the end of the season,
- 25:24and then we'll have a new
- 25:24season next year.
- 25:28Lito, can I just say, though,
- 25:29I'm just happy we now have
- 25:30one to two comps to watch
- 25:32every month and don't have
- 25:33to wait until spring for the next one.
- 25:35That was my thing going into it.
- 25:39And to be honest,
- 25:40I've watched every minute of the WFP.
- 25:44I've watched every event
- 25:45from start to finish.
- 25:48And not just because I have to,
- 25:50but because I have friends
- 25:51that are competing.
- 25:53And it's fun for me to watch.
- 25:57What's frustrating for me is
- 25:58trying to explain it to
- 25:59people because they don't understand.
- 26:05That's the problem.
- 26:09And I know I'm being
- 26:11nitpicky here at this point,
- 26:12but what Lita was saying, I would love to,
- 26:14I would watch it if it was on YouTube.
- 26:18Not the replays on YouTube.
- 26:20I don't watch replays of the games.
- 26:24When the games was on and my
- 26:25people who finished fifth
- 26:27in teams were on, I paused it.
- 26:31If I had to leave the house,
- 26:33left it on the TV,
- 26:34went and did whatever I had to do,
- 26:35came back and watched it
- 26:37from where it was,
- 26:37like turned my phone off,
- 26:39didn't look at anything
- 26:40else because I want to catch it live.
- 26:43That's just how I am.
- 26:44I won't watch replays.
- 26:45I don't like watching replays.
- 26:47like a football game on slow,
- 26:50if that makes sense.
- 26:51I want to see it as it's happening.
- 26:54I'm not watching it if it's
- 26:55on their website.
- 26:56I'm just not.
- 26:57I don't get notification for it.
- 26:58I don't know it's on.
- 26:59I'm not going to dig for it.
- 27:00The last time I tried to
- 27:01actually watch a part of it
- 27:02for the last part when I
- 27:04knew it was live and I
- 27:05still couldn't find it, on their site,
- 27:09because it's not user-friendly.
- 27:13See, again,
- 27:14I think that's a dead horse
- 27:15that we've been pounding forever.
- 27:18And I get it.
- 27:21I know why they're doing it.
- 27:22They are trying to court a
- 27:24streaming service.
- 27:26The way that YouTube counts
- 27:27its views is not
- 27:29advantageous for a streamer
- 27:31to know truly how many
- 27:32people are watching your event.
- 27:37And so they need to show
- 27:39them a certain number of
- 27:42the streaming service isn't
- 27:44probably going to use
- 27:45youtube either so they need
- 27:46to know if they're going to
- 27:47get in bed with them what
- 27:49numbers are they looking at
- 27:53so there's that um hey it's
- 28:00a bold strategy cotton
- 28:02let's see how it plays out for him it is
- 28:07And forever,
- 28:08like the one thing about
- 28:09YouTube is you don't get
- 28:11paid by YouTube to be on there, right?
- 28:14If they get with a streaming service,
- 28:16they're going to get money
- 28:17to be on that streaming service.
- 28:20It's just,
- 28:21it's not what we are used to as
- 28:23a community at all.
- 28:26And so it is kind of a bold
- 28:27strategy to go in that direction.
- 28:29But I do understand it.
- 28:37The obsession you have with WFP is insane.
- 28:40You think they're a joke.
- 28:42We get it.
- 28:43So many people in this space
- 28:44just complain all day long.
- 28:45Just rename this podcast
- 28:46Complaints for Time.
- 28:49Listen,
- 28:51when I have complained about the WFP,
- 28:53it's been constructive.
- 28:54I've always given what I
- 28:56think is the right solution,
- 28:58and I've backed them for
- 29:00most of this season.
- 29:01And what I think is
- 29:03something that CrossFit has
- 29:05never done is put a season
- 29:08together that makes sense.
- 29:10And I wanted to see what it was like.
- 29:12I am frustrated that they've
- 29:14missed some steps that make
- 29:16that experiment of a make
- 29:19sense CrossFit season null
- 29:22and void because they're
- 29:23just missing some basic points.
- 29:33so uh day one listener here
- 29:36and I'm out okay we're a
- 29:41daily show we talk about
- 29:43what's it what's going on
- 29:44in the sport not a problem um
- 29:53I've search point system
- 29:54tracked both tour stops,
- 29:56frustratingly cast laptop
- 29:58to TV for viewing with many issues,
- 30:00guessing most people don't
- 30:01care that much or give up.
- 30:05Again, I think that echoes everything.
- 30:07It's I wanted this to work
- 30:09to see if you had a streamlined season,
- 30:12what could it look like?
- 30:14And there's been too many
- 30:15missteps and less
- 30:17explanation for people to
- 30:19understand it and even see
- 30:21if it makes sense to them.
- 30:24So to what Eric's saying
- 30:26right there makes a lot of
- 30:27sense to me because it's
- 30:29not that I don't care.
- 30:30I wish them well.
- 30:31I really do.
- 30:32I would love, the more,
- 30:34like you've been saying
- 30:35since they announced that it was a thing,
- 30:38the better for us,
- 30:39the more things that there are,
- 30:41the more high level,
- 30:43high visibility things that there are,
- 30:44it's better for CrossFit as
- 30:46a sport in general.
- 30:47You need to have competition.
- 30:49Absolutely.
- 30:49If you're the only game in town,
- 30:50nobody gives a shit, right?
- 30:53especially if you're not
- 30:54putting out the highest
- 30:55quality product you
- 30:56possibly can at that point,
- 30:58then nobody gives a damn.
- 31:00But when you make it
- 31:01convoluted without explaining it,
- 31:04when you make it extremely,
- 31:06I won't say extremely,
- 31:07when you make it
- 31:07frustratingly hard to be a part of,
- 31:10as in participate, as in watch, then no,
- 31:16I'm not going to care.
- 31:16I'm not going to care at that point.
- 31:17If I can't just go and then turn it on,
- 31:21then I'm probably not going
- 31:22to turn it on part of the
- 31:25part of the reason why I
- 31:26enjoy watching the games is
- 31:27that I get a notification on my phone.
- 31:28Oh shit.
- 31:29I forgot that was on.
- 31:30Let me turn that on.
- 31:35Um,
- 31:35Scott and Corey say three points each
- 31:36on what WFP could do better in Denmark.
- 31:41One.
- 31:41I've already said this on
- 31:42other on the Sunday night
- 31:44show two weeks ago.
- 31:46Um,
- 31:47tell the story better make
- 31:49people understand what is
- 31:52the red line for the for
- 31:53getting a salary next year
- 31:55or not and who is fighting
- 31:57for it who are in that
- 31:59danger zone of losing it or
- 32:01in the advantageous spot of
- 32:03winning it that I think is
- 32:04key I think the lighting
- 32:06needs to be fixed on the outside lanes
- 32:10For the broadcast because I
- 32:12thought it looked good in
- 32:14the middle of the lanes But
- 32:15on the outsides it was a
- 32:17little dim for me and they
- 32:19need to fix the audio on
- 32:20the on the stream the audio
- 32:23was terrible this time and
- 32:26What I have learned in
- 32:27studying podcasting and I'm
- 32:29sure it's like that for
- 32:30broadcast people will sit
- 32:32through rough video way
- 32:35longer than they'll sit
- 32:36through rough audio and
- 32:39That is a thousand percent correct.
- 32:41I'd tell you that as a, as a,
- 32:44as a consumer, anytime, uh,
- 32:47when was that semifinals,
- 32:52some broadcast for
- 32:53semifinals a couple of years ago,
- 32:54like the sound or might've
- 32:55been water Palooza, one or two,
- 32:57the sound was horrible
- 33:01cutting in and out scratchy sound.
- 33:03Like it was, it was just terrible.
- 33:06And,
- 33:08I don't say part of the
- 33:09reason I'm watching.
- 33:10You can watch,
- 33:11especially depending on what
- 33:12kind of camera angles they give you,
- 33:13and you can kind of
- 33:14half-ass follow what's going on.
- 33:15But if you can't hear whoever it is, Sean,
- 33:20Chase, Bill,
- 33:22whoever it is doing the
- 33:23commentating to give you direction,
- 33:26because sometimes the
- 33:26people are this big on the screen.
- 33:28Yeah.
- 33:29Yeah.
- 33:31Right.
- 33:31And if it's not somebody you
- 33:34are intimately familiar with,
- 33:36I have absolutely no idea who that is.
- 33:39And it gets really, really hard to follow.
- 33:41So if you can't hear it,
- 33:43I just turn it off like this is annoying.
- 33:44This is frustrating.
- 33:46I'm just going to turn it
- 33:46off until something better
- 33:48until until they fix it.
- 33:49Whatever the case,
- 33:50whatever the case that that is.
- 33:52And if they're especially if
- 33:53they're doing it.
- 33:56And again,
- 33:57I don't want to take it away
- 33:58from anything from Brian Friend,
- 34:00who did everything he could
- 34:01to try to broadcast the
- 34:02best that he could.
- 34:03But if he's not aware of the
- 34:05fact that the sound is bad,
- 34:10then it's just going to
- 34:10take that much longer before it fixes it.
- 34:12And then people are just
- 34:14flocking away from it at
- 34:15that point because, holy shit,
- 34:17this is terrible and I
- 34:17cannot follow this.
- 34:18All right.
- 34:20That's enough time on WFP.
- 34:22Yes.
- 34:23We have some other things coming up.
- 34:24We've got Wadapalooza SoCal
- 34:26in like a week and a half.
- 34:27That's going to be fun.
- 34:29And Kerstetter getting Alex's spot,
- 34:32I think is making it even
- 34:33more exciting for that event.
- 34:37I know I saw they're
- 34:38bringing back the beach
- 34:41event where you have to
- 34:42move seventy five hundred
- 34:44pounds of equipment from
- 34:45one end of the beach to the other.
- 34:47which I thought was an
- 34:48amazing event last year.
- 34:50Super excited to see that again.
- 34:55A couple of the events.
- 34:58I'm not a big team deadlifter.
- 34:59I don't think it's a great movement.
- 35:02And that and burpees,
- 35:03maybe not my favorite one to watch.
- 35:06But some of the other ones
- 35:06sound really cool.
- 35:08So we have that.
- 35:10But Lito says here,
- 35:11now she wants to complain
- 35:14about who's getting invited to Rogue.
- 35:17So because we're a complaint show now,
- 35:19I guess, uh, I will,
- 35:23I will put this up for
- 35:24people to complain about.
- 35:26Um, you know,
- 35:27yesterday I didn't complain
- 35:28about anything, you know, I didn't, I,
- 35:31I didn't,
- 35:32we had a nice discussion about GLP ones,
- 35:34you know, it was a nice, yeah,
- 35:37I didn't even get,
- 35:37I didn't even get irritated
- 35:39or like upset yesterday.
- 35:41It was a great show as it turns out.
- 35:44Anyway,
- 35:47with that back to the
- 35:48complaints um most recently
- 35:50announced we have we I
- 35:53think we've gone through
- 35:54samuel quant in past shows
- 35:57emma tall that's an obvious
- 35:59choice uh hatfield hayley
- 36:02adams yona koski and mano anganese
- 36:12So that is added on to Juan Spiegel,
- 36:17Noah Olson, Abby Domet, Chandler Smith,
- 36:20Olivia Kerstetter, Guy Mejeros,
- 36:23Lucy Campbell, Heinrich Heipleinen,
- 36:26Paige Semenza,
- 36:28and Colton Mertens and Gracie Walton.
- 36:29And Gracie Walton.
- 36:33Okay.
- 36:40Olivia, I get it.
- 36:43Yeah.
- 36:44Lucy, I get it.
- 36:46Right.
- 36:47That makes sense to me.
- 36:48Yep.
- 36:49Colton, what are you saying?
- 36:52Gracie.
- 36:52Yep.
- 36:56Haley and Austin.
- 37:01Because at this point,
- 37:02I don't think you can
- 37:02invite one and not the other.
- 37:06Right.
- 37:06Emmett tall and quant.
- 37:07I get that.
- 37:09Mr. Mr. Mr. Sam quant.
- 37:11Absolutely.
- 37:12But, man, Mano has had a terrible season.
- 37:15I was about to say.
- 37:15She's had a terrible season.
- 37:21I get the numbers,
- 37:22and she does well at Rogue.
- 37:24Yeah, she's strong.
- 37:25It's strength-based.
- 37:26Good for her.
- 37:27She did well at the games.
- 37:30But, man.
- 37:33I mean, Noah?
- 37:37Chandler.
- 37:39Another one.
- 37:42I don't know.
- 37:46I don't want to pick on too many people,
- 37:47but I don't want to pick on anybody.
- 37:51Okay.
- 37:51So see what Dan says right
- 37:52there at the bottom,
- 37:53that gain speed will make
- 37:54sense from a spectacle standpoint.
- 37:57Uh,
- 37:57helping called out who is going to be
- 37:59invited next right on the nose.
- 38:00He's good.
- 38:02Uh, there's a, there's a chart out there.
- 38:05It's the rogue point system.
- 38:06You can just go and look at the top.
- 38:08Fifteen.
- 38:12And again, it is their competition.
- 38:15They can invite whoever they want.
- 38:18It does not matter.
- 38:21I just, I don't,
- 38:22I would love to know the
- 38:23thinking behind some of these people.
- 38:28I understand.
- 38:30I wonder if some of the top
- 38:31fifteen have declined
- 38:32invites or if they're
- 38:33inviting more than fifteen
- 38:34since they've invited
- 38:35people who are outside the
- 38:37top fifteen on their leaderboard.
- 38:39I'm betting some people probably declined.
- 38:48Do we know,
- 38:49are they doing the Legends
- 38:51thing again over there?
- 38:54I heard they are.
- 38:55I heard Rich is going over.
- 38:58He said whatever Legends
- 39:03they decide to have.
- 39:07That's what was fun to watch.
- 39:10I like watching them come
- 39:11out there and do that
- 39:12because they get randomly
- 39:13paired up basically.
- 39:15And it's like, okay, line them up and see,
- 39:18see what you got.
- 39:19And it's, you know, it's all people I,
- 39:20I hate to say grew up on cause I'm,
- 39:21I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like,
- 39:22I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like,
- 39:23I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like,
- 39:25I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like,
- 39:26I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like,
- 39:27I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like,
- 39:28I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like,
- 39:29I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like,
- 39:30I'm like, I'm like, I'm like, I'm like,
- 39:31I'm like, I'm like, I'm like,
- 39:33Um,
- 39:33it's the people that are nursing
- 39:34injuries.
- 39:36Um, if you are not a power output athlete,
- 39:41your chances of doing well
- 39:42are not awesome.
- 39:45Um, so, so we'll see.
- 39:52Stan,
- 39:52I'll say this about Jackson being
- 39:54ranked seventeenth and he did the Q,
- 39:56but they invited him to
- 39:56Concord instead is that, um,
- 39:59Up until just recently,
- 40:00Saxon wasn't even
- 40:02supposedly not competing anymore.
- 40:05And now he is.
- 40:05Yeah, again, it's an invitational.
- 40:09They can invite whoever they want.
- 40:11Correct.
- 40:13They want to invite Jeffrey
- 40:14Birchfield from the random
- 40:17chats and Judge Extraordinaire.
- 40:21They can.
- 40:23Which would be awesome, by the way.
- 40:27I think this is pretty accurate here.
- 40:29Yeah.
- 40:30I love the legends doing stuff,
- 40:32but they need to make it an
- 40:33actual competition,
- 40:34do something for charity
- 40:36rather than just an
- 40:36exhibition where they don't really care.
- 40:39I think so too.
- 40:40I,
- 40:41the first year they tried to do it as a
- 40:43competition,
- 40:44like straight up and it was
- 40:47tough for some of the athletes to,
- 40:49and I don't think they all
- 40:51looked awesome during those
- 40:53things but I think it just
- 40:55needs to be programmed
- 40:56right and it needs to be
- 40:57for charity so I would say
- 41:00that part of that is that
- 41:03the riches and the spielers
- 41:05and and whatnot like they
- 41:07don't you can't turn it on
- 41:09and turn it off once it's
- 41:10on it's on right so they
- 41:13know they're coming in to
- 41:14actually compete for something
- 41:16Like that rewire something in their brain.
- 41:18It would for me.
- 41:19I know that for a fact,
- 41:20like I'm coming out.
- 41:20Oh, we actually compete.
- 41:23OK, but I think if you.
- 41:26I think you can put a break on that,
- 41:29you know,
- 41:29tone it down a little bit by saying, OK,
- 41:31here's going to be.
- 41:33We're going to do the
- 41:34legends part of it here.
- 41:35We're going to pick teams before anything,
- 41:37anybody ever gets there.
- 41:40You know,
- 41:40Kalipa and Rich are on a team together.
- 41:45They are competing for this charity.
- 41:47If they win,
- 41:48Ruby's going to give however
- 41:50many dollars to this charity.
- 41:52You know,
- 41:52make it a charity event like that
- 41:54and have them paired up.
- 41:55or if it's male, female,
- 41:57whatever the case may be,
- 41:58however you look at it as
- 41:58far as that goes,
- 42:00that would be fun to watch as a sideshow.
- 42:03Lord knows there's enough
- 42:03sideshows going on at Rogue,
- 42:05but that would just be
- 42:06another added thing for
- 42:07them to be able to do.
- 42:08I think that'd be a fantastic idea.
- 42:11Colton in the house.
- 42:13Legends won't come if it's a competition.
- 42:16And I think if they keep it
- 42:18like they did the first
- 42:19year when like the older
- 42:21legends in the first five
- 42:24years of the competition
- 42:26didn't look as good as some
- 42:27of the older competitors,
- 42:29I don't think they would come.
- 42:31So I do think he's accurate on that.
- 42:35I think they'd have to build
- 42:36it as a competition.
- 42:37that did allow the older
- 42:39athletes to kind of hide.
- 42:41Uh, so maybe like two person teams,
- 42:44but keep the teams together
- 42:45for the weekend.
- 42:47Um,
- 42:48and then do it for charity or something
- 42:49like that.
- 42:51Um, I think when they alternate throughout,
- 42:52it just takes away some of
- 42:54the fun of like,
- 42:55who's like that because it
- 42:57seems so random whenever they,
- 43:00whenever they got up, like, Oh,
- 43:02now all of a sudden it's, you know,
- 43:04it's these two together.
- 43:05Ooh.
- 43:05All right.
- 43:10Pairing an elite athlete
- 43:11with a teen athlete,
- 43:12that'd be fun to watch.
- 43:15I don't think people know
- 43:16enough about the teens at this point.
- 43:24But yeah, I agree with Andrew.
- 43:25There's definitely a way it
- 43:26can be done and have it,
- 43:29I won't say mean something,
- 43:31but mean something to the
- 43:31guys that are there to
- 43:33where you're actually
- 43:35trying to do something right by somebody.
- 43:40So what do we have coming up this fall?
- 43:42We've got Masters Fitness Championship.
- 43:45We've got Wadapalooza SoCal.
- 43:49We've got Rogue.
- 43:50Yep.
- 43:52We've got WFP Copenhagen.
- 43:56When is that?
- 43:57December.
- 43:58Is it December?
- 43:59Yeah.
- 44:02And then typically we'd have
- 44:04Wadapalooza to start the year,
- 44:05but they've moved to March, I believe.
- 44:10Yeah.
- 44:12It's not in February anymore.
- 44:13They moved it a little bit
- 44:14further down the calendar.
- 44:15Oh, and Legends is also in December.
- 44:19Oh, yeah.
- 44:19Legends in December as well.
- 44:22And I think that's before WFP.
- 44:25WFP is like a week before Christmas.
- 44:29We are flying out on
- 44:31December the eleventh.
- 44:32So it's like the weekend before Christmas,
- 44:35basically.
- 44:38Isn't Dubai in December?
- 44:40Is Dubai still happening?
- 44:44That's an honest question
- 44:45because I couldn't tell you
- 44:48a single event that
- 44:49happened at Dubai last year
- 44:51if it in fact happened last year.
- 44:53And Crash.
- 44:54Going to be an exciting fall season.
- 44:56Crash is fun, dude.
- 44:57Crash is fun to watch.
- 44:59I enjoy that a whole lot.
- 45:02TFX is in January.
- 45:04That's a fun one too.
- 45:08back to Dubai.
- 45:09Like,
- 45:09I think that's the one competition
- 45:11that I've just lost
- 45:12interest in that when they
- 45:14streamed it for real, for real, like I,
- 45:18I would watch it.
- 45:19Let it is, it,
- 45:22it can't be done on the
- 45:24Brian friend channel.
- 45:26no gopro right it just it's
- 45:29so large in scope of what
- 45:32they do there and scale
- 45:35like just a guy running
- 45:36around with a gimbal or a
- 45:43drone trying to catch
- 45:44footage of people running
- 45:45in the sand dunes
- 45:48It has to be because of the
- 45:50way it's designed.
- 45:53Plus,
- 45:53it's hard because they don't even let
- 45:55the announcers in the stadium.
- 45:58They have to do it from the
- 45:59television sets outside.
- 46:01It's crazy.
- 46:04And so it's hard to watch for me now.
- 46:06And I tune in just enough to
- 46:08know kind of what's going
- 46:10on so we can talk about it.
- 46:12But it's really hard to
- 46:15watch for me these days.
- 46:18Like I said, I don't even,
- 46:21couldn't tell you who won it.
- 46:22Couldn't tell you who went, who didn't go,
- 46:26nothing.
- 46:29Yeah, like in the old days,
- 46:30like the sand dune workout was awesome.
- 46:32When it was covered well, you know,
- 46:34Acid Bath was famous.
- 46:36They had a lot of great
- 46:37workouts and it was a lot
- 46:39of fun to watch.
- 46:40And they had a lot of big names there.
- 46:41I mean, you had Frazier, you had Horvat,
- 46:43you had all these people there competing.
- 46:46And it was fun to watch.
- 46:48It's just gone downhill since then.
- 46:50It was fun to watch.
- 46:52There was a good hype machine behind it.
- 46:55You know, oh man, they come in,
- 46:56they're flying halfway around the world.
- 46:59They're going to use the
- 47:01landscape of Dubai to promote, you know,
- 47:05to actually compete in.
- 47:06Remember they had the,
- 47:09was it a run on the indoor ski slope?
- 47:13Like all that kind of stuff, dude.
- 47:14Like Dubai Instagram last
- 47:16post was in twenty twenty four.
- 47:19That's from our stats and information girl,
- 47:21Holly, who crushes it all the time.
- 47:26Dan, yes.
- 47:27The twenty-minute FTP bike test.
- 47:30And that was at the top of a
- 47:31hotel because they were all
- 47:32looking out over the landscape.
- 47:35Yep.
- 47:38Yeah.
- 47:40Actually,
- 47:40I think... The run-up to Burge was epic,
- 47:42too.
- 47:43It was.
- 47:45They did some really cool stuff.
- 47:47Um...
- 47:50But it's losing interest fast for me.
- 47:56I don't know anything else about it.
- 47:58Like I said,
- 47:58I have not heard a single word.
- 47:59And I believe her.
- 48:02They haven't made a post
- 48:03since twenty twenty four.
- 48:04That's kind of telling
- 48:05because we're almost to
- 48:06twenty twenty six at this point.
- 48:08Yeah.
- 48:09Closer to that than we are
- 48:10to twenty twenty four.
- 48:14The last thing I got for you
- 48:15before I head out is.
- 48:18got an email from rogue
- 48:19saying I was approved for a
- 48:20press pass sweet oh did I
- 48:22pay for your hotel and
- 48:23flight as well uh I didn't
- 48:25apply even better dear bill
- 48:30and kate what happened
- 48:34usually I'm fighting tooth
- 48:36and nail to get media
- 48:37credentials for an event
- 48:39yeah I get an email hey
- 48:40you're approved for rogue
- 48:41media credentials I was like
- 48:43Well, damn, I didn't even apply.
- 48:45That's amazing.
- 48:46You just won the lottery
- 48:47without buying a ticket.
- 48:49I would email back and be like, hey,
- 48:51I will be more than happy
- 48:53to come and exercise my press pass.
- 48:57However...
- 48:58being as hot in Aberdeen, Scotland,
- 49:00I'm going to need a couple of things.
- 49:02Uh, airfare, airfare would be fantastic.
- 49:04Yeah.
- 49:04In a hotel somewhere to stay would be,
- 49:07would be, would be pretty nice.
- 49:08That is awesome.
- 49:08Meredith.
- 49:08I'm taking it as a big compliment.
- 49:09Bill and Katie live right down the,
- 49:10like they're, they're like, they're like,
- 49:11they're like, they're like, they're like,
- 49:12they're like, they're like, they're like,
- 49:13they're like, they're like, they're like,
- 49:14they're like, they're like, they're like,
- 49:15they're like, they're like, they're like,
- 49:16they're like, they're like, they're like,
- 49:17they're like, they're like, they're like,
- 49:18they're like, they're like, they're like,
- 49:19they're like, they're like, they're like,
- 49:21they're like, they're like, they're like,
- 49:22they're like, they're like, they're like,
- 49:23they're like, they're like
- 49:27That's awesome.
- 49:28Oh, see,
- 49:29they can invite whoever they want.
- 49:32There you go.
- 49:34I got the invite for press.
- 49:37If the trend continues like
- 49:40they did for the games and
- 49:41like WFP is doing,
- 49:42there's going to be a black
- 49:44and white picture of Scott.
- 49:48There you go.
- 49:50what's your media what's
- 49:54your uh here's your here's
- 49:55your rogue here's your
- 49:55rogue invitational media
- 49:57and picture scott I heard
- 50:00pc is next to room available awesome
- 50:05That ought to work out really,
- 50:06really well.
- 50:07I think the whole team needs
- 50:08to go to that one.
- 50:09Well, generally,
- 50:10Carolyn goes because
- 50:12Carolyn has been their
- 50:14tester of the workouts for years.
- 50:18She does not tell me if she
- 50:19gets picked for that every year.
- 50:21She likes to keep that
- 50:22really hush-hush so nobody
- 50:24asks her anything.
- 50:27But she's been the last
- 50:28couple years just because of that.
- 50:31I don't know.
- 50:31Maybe they're having us do a
- 50:33live podcast on the tailgate party.
- 50:36That would be fantastic.
- 50:39That would be fantastic.
- 50:40Ask if you can ride on the rogue jet.
- 50:46Go enjoy the vacation.
- 50:47Take the wife.
- 50:49Can't wait to see Scott and his press kit.
- 50:51Kilt.
- 50:52Yes!
- 50:56There you go.
- 50:57Scott rolls up.
- 50:59Oh, look.
- 50:59Athletes this way.
- 51:01Media this way.
- 51:03Come get your kilt.
- 51:07That would be something to
- 51:08hang on the wall behind you.
- 51:09You hear me?
- 51:10Oh, yeah.
- 51:11Here's my rogue kilt right
- 51:13here on the wall behind me.
- 51:14It's fantastic, dude.
- 51:17I would love to go to Scotland.
- 51:20That's like the one place in
- 51:21Europe I want to go so bad is Ireland,
- 51:24Scotland, that whole area.
- 51:27But
- 51:28But yeah,
- 51:28I got that in the email and I was like,
- 51:29dang.
- 51:32It's like,
- 51:33did I apply for something in my sleep?
- 51:35I don't even remember doing this.
- 51:36I know.
- 51:39Because usually I'm like
- 51:40fighting and clawing and
- 51:41whatever to get media.
- 51:43I mean,
- 51:43look at the Masters games just now
- 51:45and you got approved.
- 51:46Yay!
- 51:47You got free admission, basically.
- 51:52They just gave you a weekend pass.
- 51:54Here you go.
- 51:57That's awesome.
- 51:58Andrews went last year.
- 52:00He said, it's amazing.
- 52:03I am traveled out.
- 52:06I got one last travel for
- 52:09the year and that is to go to, uh,
- 52:12go compete at legends,
- 52:13but between my son's senior
- 52:17trip and then we went to
- 52:18the keys and then I went to
- 52:20Kansas and now I'm going to legends.
- 52:22Like we ain't flying nowhere else.
- 52:25Uh, at AI,
- 52:25did you read the email and is it
- 52:27enhanced media?
- 52:29I did not read it carefully.
- 52:31I should preface that.
- 52:32I, I, I did not read it carefully.
- 52:37Um, that's what shocked it came.
- 52:40Uh, Scott rolling in riding dirty.
- 52:44I imagine Lito is probably correct.
- 52:46Yeah.
- 52:46It's probably pretty damn cool.
- 52:51Well, my next travel is this weekend.
- 52:54I'm heading to Montana.
- 52:59And she's excited.
- 53:01She's already listed eight
- 53:02hundred things she's taking us to see.
- 53:04I don't know how we're
- 53:05fitting all that in because
- 53:08she still has to work a little bit.
- 53:09Oh, my gosh.
- 53:12Yeah, I know.
- 53:12I know exactly what you said.
- 53:15It's got the king of hustle.
- 53:17Yeah.
- 53:19Last time I checked in,
- 53:21I'm not allowed to give
- 53:21myself a nickname.
- 53:23That's kind of the rules of nicknames,
- 53:25right?
- 53:29That's how it was when... Now, I'm old.
- 53:31That's how it was when I was a kid.
- 53:33I have never known anyone
- 53:36who tried to give
- 53:38themselves a nickname and
- 53:41then had it actually stick.
- 53:43Save one person.
- 53:46And I don't even... That's the only one.
- 53:52I don't know.
- 53:54All right.
- 53:55Well, yeah,
- 53:57we've got two more shows this
- 53:58week before I hit a plane to Montana.
- 54:01And it's going to be weird
- 54:03because out there it's
- 54:04going to be ten a.m.
- 54:05that I'm going to be doing
- 54:06the lunch shows.
- 54:08But we'll be doing those next week.
- 54:10And.
- 54:12I've got tomorrow where
- 54:14we'll talk about whatever's happening.
- 54:17Uh, probably complaining again.
- 54:18Cause that's,
- 54:18that's the kind of show we are.
- 54:20And then, um, and then Friday,
- 54:27Jason grubs going to be on the show.
- 54:29Oh, good.
- 54:30Six time masters champion.
- 54:32So we'll do some old people working out.
- 54:35Talk again.
- 54:35Consecutive.
- 54:38Six consecutive championships.
- 54:42Get a man to do it.
- 54:46so and again I'm going to
- 54:48try to keep it a hangout
- 54:49show where we just kind of
- 54:50talk about stuff and not
- 54:51necessarily because he's
- 54:52been on the show before and
- 54:54so we don't need to do
- 54:55origin story or anything
- 54:56like that uh probably just
- 54:58to state of the masters the
- 55:02question I really want to
- 55:02know is we question mayhem
- 55:06and is it a conflict of

- 55:09an integral part of the
- 55:10crossfit game season
- 55:12Boulder athlete has done the
- 55:14same now for the Masters athletes.

- 56:14There are some, I would,
- 56:17if you gave me a row pros and cons,
- 56:20the check marks would be
- 56:22split between the two.
- 56:25I have competed at both.
- 56:28And yeah, I would say there's definitely a,
- 56:31there's definitely a
- 56:31demarcation line there between the two.
- 56:34And yeah,
- 56:36Some stuff they're better at,
- 56:37some stuff they're better at,
- 56:38some stuff they're not great at,
- 56:41some stuff they're also not great at.
