- 0:00Speaker 1: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 0:03Speaker 1: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from Al Salvador
- 0:07Speaker 1: accused of murdering a Texas man of Venezuelan charged with
- 0:11Speaker 1: filming and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just
- 0:15Speaker 1: some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President
- 0:19Speaker 1: Donald J.
- 0:20Speaker 2: Trump's leadership.
- 0:21Speaker 1: I'm Christy nom the United States Secretary of Homeland Security.
- 0:25Speaker 1: Under President Trump, attempted illegal border crossings are at the
- 0:29Speaker 1: lowest levels ever recorded, and over one hundred thousand illegal
- 0:33Speaker 1: aliens have been arrested. If you are here illegally, your
- 0:37Speaker 1: next you will be fined nearly one thousand dollars a day, imprisoned,
- 0:41Speaker 1: and deported.
- 0:42Speaker 2: You will never return.
- 0:44Speaker 1: But if you register using our CBP home app and
- 0:47Speaker 1: leave now, you could be allowed to return legally.
- 0:50Speaker 2: Do what's right. Leave now.
- 0:53Speaker 1: Under President Trump, America's laws, border and families will be protected.
- 0:57Speaker 3: Sponsored by the United States Department of Homeland Security.
- 1:00Speaker 4: You said you wanted to get off of Lebron's payroll
- 1:02Speaker 4: as soon as possible, and you know, people create their
- 1:05Speaker 4: own narratives. But a lot of people might say, well,
- 1:09Speaker 4: it's easy for him to become a number one agent
- 1:11Speaker 4: because Lebron, Right, Lebron's just God.
- 1:14Speaker 5: But I know you always actually harder.
- 1:16Speaker 4: Go ahead, So talk about talk about that and talk
- 1:19Speaker 4: about why it was essential for you to get off
- 1:23Speaker 4: of his payroll. Why is essential for you to not
- 1:26Speaker 4: be in that type of role.
- 1:29Speaker 6: Well, it was essentral number one because prior to I've
- 1:32Speaker 6: always been someone who was had a pretty entrepreneurial spirit.
- 1:40Speaker 5: Right.
- 1:41Speaker 6: My dad was a store owner. We made our money
- 1:43Speaker 6: selling beer, wine and cigarettes. You know, I grew up
- 1:46Speaker 6: playing people lottery numbers at seven and eight years of age. Right,
- 1:51Speaker 6: I learned about marketing by selling now Laters and Jolly
- 1:55Speaker 6: Joe's and Cherry Clans, and you know, that's how I
- 1:58Speaker 6: buy what you can came and bought in the store.
- 2:01Speaker 5: This is how I learned about supply and demand.
- 2:03Speaker 6: So when my dad would send us back to the
- 2:05Speaker 6: wholesale store, he was sit in the car and let
- 2:08Speaker 6: me go in and pick the candy. I couldn't pick
- 2:11Speaker 6: the candy that I wanted.
- 2:12Speaker 5: I had to pick the candy.
- 2:13Speaker 6: That the people would buy, because that's how we made
- 2:15Speaker 6: our money. And so through that I learned customer service
- 2:19Speaker 6: and the importance of customer service, right, because the community
- 2:22Speaker 6: is the job.
- 2:25Speaker 5: We got to make sure that we take care of
- 2:26Speaker 5: the community.
- 2:27Speaker 6: And so that allowed me to have that mindset. But
- 2:32Speaker 6: to answer your question, Lebron wasn't obligated to do anything
- 2:36Speaker 6: for me or anybody else. The only person he was
- 2:39Speaker 6: actually obligated to do something for was Gloria James.
- 2:42Speaker 5: That's his mother. Right.
- 2:44Speaker 6: I was so happy that I wasn't his brother, like
- 2:48Speaker 6: blood brother, because at that point there's a guilt that
- 2:53Speaker 6: comes into play, right, and if I screw up?
- 2:57Speaker 5: Can he really fire? Can you really fire your brother? Right?
- 3:01Speaker 5: You know? And so.
- 3:04Speaker 6: For me, once I got my opportunity, and when I
- 3:07Speaker 6: got the call, when my mother called me and said
- 3:10Speaker 6: you have a check in the mail.
- 3:11Speaker 5: And when you guys read my book, this is all that.
- 3:14Speaker 5: This is not.
- 3:14Speaker 6: This is someone that is in there. But when my
- 3:16Speaker 6: mother called me and said you have a check in
- 3:18Speaker 6: the mail, I didn't. I wasn't expecting that. I didn't
- 3:21Speaker 6: even know how to really read a check. My mother
- 3:23Speaker 6: showed me how to do so. But when I called
- 3:27Speaker 6: and asked what my job was, he said he didn't know.
- 3:31Speaker 5: He said, I actually don't have a position for you
- 3:33Speaker 5: at all. I don't have one, and I don't know
- 3:37Speaker 5: when I'm gonna get one, So now I got two choices.
- 3:41Speaker 6: I'm definitely not a yes man, and I love the shop,
- 3:44Speaker 6: so I like to go to the I can't wait
- 3:46Speaker 6: on you to go to them all for when I
- 3:48Speaker 6: get to go to the mall, that's not gonna ever happen.
- 3:51Speaker 5: So because of that, I did the things that I
- 3:55Speaker 5: created value.
- 3:58Speaker 6: I was everything from party promoter before he was even.
- 4:02Speaker 5: Able to party styless jeweler.
- 4:07Speaker 6: You know, until one day in the Nike meeting, he
- 4:10Speaker 6: asked me, what did I think? And it's Phil Knight,
- 4:13Speaker 6: it's Charlie Denson's Lynn Mayrit, it's all the top executives
- 4:17Speaker 6: at Nike. And now I'm saying, well, I'm not guessing here.
- 4:22Speaker 6: This is what I know because I've had every shoot
- 4:24Speaker 6: that ever came out since nineteen eighty nine, whatever it was.
- 4:28Speaker 6: And so I took the floor. Well that led to
- 4:30Speaker 6: me getting a job at Nike because they seen.
- 4:33Speaker 5: I had value.
- 4:34Speaker 6: So when I was there, I learned cutting, so I
- 4:37Speaker 6: learned all the legal aspects of it.
- 4:39Speaker 5: I learned the footwear business I love.
- 4:41Speaker 6: I learned the marketing business because Marketing is not endorsements.
- 4:45Speaker 6: Marketing is storytelling. Endorsements are endorsements marketing. The best marketing
- 4:50Speaker 6: companies in the world they never tell you a price,
- 4:53Speaker 6: but they show you the product, but.
- 4:54Speaker 5: They never tell you the price.
- 4:56Speaker 6: Honda's going to say, this is the Civic twenty twenty
- 4:59Speaker 6: three with leather. It cost you thirty six thousand. That's
- 5:02Speaker 6: a different that's a sales thing. That's a totally different thing.
- 5:05Speaker 6: And so I wanted to make sure that I was
- 5:09Speaker 6: always creating value. And I also didn't want because in life,
- 5:13Speaker 6: you know, you can you can only ride the horse
- 5:15Speaker 6: for so long. Can't get comfort riding somebody else's horse.
- 5:20Speaker 6: That don't make sense.
- 5:21Speaker 5: So you have to continue to create value. So that's
- 5:24Speaker 5: what I did.
- 5:25Speaker 6: And then the reason why I went into the agent
- 5:28Speaker 6: business is because I felt like our young men were
- 5:32Speaker 6: the game was being monopolized by.
- 5:36Speaker 7: This episode is brought to you by P and C Bank.

- 7:26Speaker 1: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 7:30Speaker 1: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from Al Salvador
- 7:34Speaker 1: accused of murdering a Texas man of Venezuelan charged with
- 7:38Speaker 1: filming and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just
- 7:42Speaker 1: some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President
- 7:46Speaker 1: Donald J.
- 7:46Speaker 2: Trump's leadership. I'm Christy Noman, the.
- 7:49Speaker 1: United States Secretary of Homeland Security. Under President Trump, Attempted
- 7:53Speaker 1: illegal border crossings are at the lowest levels ever recorded,
- 7:57Speaker 1: and over one hundred thousand illegal aliens have been arrested.
- 8:01Speaker 1: If you were here illegally, your next you will be
- 8:04Speaker 1: fine nearly one thousand dollars a day, imprisoned and.
- 8:08Speaker 2: Deported, you will never return.
- 8:10Speaker 1: But if you register using our CBP home app and
- 8:13Speaker 1: leave now, you could be allowed to return legally.
- 8:16Speaker 2: Do what's right leave now.
- 8:19Speaker 1: Under President Trump, America's laws, border and families will be protected.
- 8:24Speaker 3: Sponsored by the United States Department of Homeland Security.
- 8:26Speaker 6: People that really didn't understand them as people. They saw
- 8:30Speaker 6: them as commissions, but they didn't see them as people.
- 8:33Speaker 6: And so if I only see you as a check,
- 8:36Speaker 6: I'm not going to invest in you. Right when the
- 8:38Speaker 6: talent runs out, I lose your number and I get
- 8:42Speaker 6: the next talent. Well, that didn't sit well with me,
- 8:46Speaker 6: and so I wanted to create something that they can
- 8:48Speaker 6: go to sleep at night knowing that, you know what,
- 8:51Speaker 6: I can trust Rich, and I can trust the people
- 8:53Speaker 6: that Rich is putting around me, because my integrity and
- 8:58Speaker 6: my respect for you as a person won't allow me
- 9:01Speaker 6: to do anything that would be detrimental to your future.
- 9:04Speaker 6: And damn sure not going to do anything that is
- 9:07Speaker 6: going to have you look at me a certain way
- 9:09Speaker 6: because where I come from, there's a major consequence for that.
- 9:12Speaker 6: But in the business I'm in, those consequences don't exist.
- 9:16Speaker 5: But I didn't know any different.
- 9:18Speaker 6: You know, we were just just trying to survive the day,
- 9:20Speaker 6: sometimes an hour, depending on what's going on around the corner.
- 9:23Speaker 6: So I brought that energy and those pitfalls to an
- 9:28Speaker 6: industry that didn't know that, and they didn't know our children.
- 9:31Speaker 5: And so I even currently.
- 9:33Speaker 6: Today, people talk about it's easier with Lebron, Oh, he
- 9:37Speaker 6: just did this because Lebron.
- 9:39Speaker 5: They must don't know what the word envy means. They
- 9:42Speaker 5: must don't.
- 9:43Speaker 6: Understand how hard it is to walk in the room
- 9:46Speaker 6: and people tell you, oh, because you represent this person,
- 9:49Speaker 6: I don't think you're the right person for me, even
- 9:52Speaker 6: though he's built this big portfolio, and I have a
- 9:55Speaker 6: ton of other guys.
- 9:56Speaker 5: That's built great portfolios.
- 9:57Speaker 6: As well and done well. But for some reason, it's
- 10:02Speaker 6: just hard for people to do business with people that.
- 10:05Speaker 5: Look like I'm not gonna say four people.
- 10:07Speaker 6: I'm gonna say it's hard for our people to do
- 10:10Speaker 6: business with our people at a high level and respect
- 10:14Speaker 6: them and not cheat them and not try to say
- 10:17Speaker 6: I gave you opportunities, so you should work for free. No,
- 10:21Speaker 6: I gave you the opportunity. You're doing a great job.
- 10:24Speaker 6: I'm gonna pay you what you deserve. And I talk
- 10:27Speaker 6: to my guys about this all the time. And for
- 10:30Speaker 6: anybody else out there, somebody out there is doing something
- 10:33Speaker 6: for you, I don't care if they're your sister cousin.
- 10:36Speaker 5: I don't care if they're on the drug. I don't
- 10:38Speaker 5: care about any of that.
- 10:39Speaker 6: How you treat people matters, It just really does.
- 10:44Speaker 5: And I want to pay you top dollar. I want
- 10:47Speaker 5: to pay you.
- 10:47Speaker 6: More, right because when we go to Van Cleef and
- 10:51Speaker 6: Louis and Chanelle, they're not giving us no discount and
- 10:54Speaker 6: we're not asking for one. We want you to know
- 10:56Speaker 6: how much we pay for it. So when I but
- 11:00Speaker 6: when I come to you with my labor to wash
- 11:01Speaker 6: your car, and I washed it and you had the
- 11:04Speaker 6: juice and the cup holder and all this stuff, but
- 11:07Speaker 6: you want to put and you don't even want.
- 11:09Speaker 5: To tip me, Well, it don't work. You get what
- 11:12Speaker 5: I'm saying. And so I instill that in my in
- 11:14Speaker 5: my clients from day one. When we go to a restaurant,
- 11:17Speaker 5: I pay attention.
- 11:18Speaker 6: I watch how they call a waiter or a waitress
- 11:21Speaker 6: and know, hey, yoyo, no, no excuse me, Can I
- 11:24Speaker 6: have thank you?
- 11:26Speaker 5: And then when that bill comes, we're gonna.
- 11:28Speaker 6: Make sure they get twenty five percent. You understand I'm
- 11:31Speaker 6: saying that's how it should be. And if it's like that,
- 11:35Speaker 6: when you think about the ecosystem for an athlete. An
- 11:38Speaker 6: athlete need a barber, they need a handyman. They need
- 11:41Speaker 6: a nanny, they need.
- 11:42Speaker 5: A driver, they need a their wives.
- 11:45Speaker 6: Need a makeup artist and a cosmetologist. You know, they
- 11:49Speaker 6: need all these things. This is the ecosystem of the athlete.
- 11:54Speaker 6: This job's available.
- 11:56Speaker 5: But the reason why we don't care to do them
- 11:58Speaker 5: in abundance is because how you treat.
- 12:01Speaker 6: If you treated them differently then and you explain to them, hey,
- 12:06Speaker 6: you're not gonna get it. You're not gonna get a
- 12:08Speaker 6: seat at the table when we at the club. That
- 12:10Speaker 6: ain't what this is this is about.
- 12:12Speaker 5: But I actually need you to do this. It's a
- 12:14Speaker 5: consistent pay for at.
- 12:16Speaker 6: Least twelve years for the right person at least.
- 12:21Speaker 5: And while you're doing that, you build your clientele.
- 12:24Speaker 6: Right, because there's a draft every year. People coming in
- 12:27Speaker 6: a real estate agent. My guys just renting places in
- 12:30Speaker 6: every city around America. But it's not many. You give
- 12:35Speaker 6: them saying, and if it is, they show up laid like.
- 12:39Speaker 6: The habits matter, right, And so this is this is
- 12:42Speaker 6: very important. And I tell my own siblings this, there's
- 12:46Speaker 6: an ecosystem. Find a lane. If you find a lane,
- 12:51Speaker 6: you got an opportunity. If you've got an opportunity, then
- 12:54Speaker 6: you make it work from there.
- 12:56Speaker 5: Turn this out.
- 12:57Speaker 6: One plus one should equal five by the time we
- 13:00Speaker 6: get down with this.
- 13:01Speaker 1: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 13:04Speaker 1: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from Al Salvador
