- 0:03Speaker 1: Hello and welcome to Outspoken. It's your dose of the
- 0:06Speaker 1: hottest influencer and pop culture news twice a week. I'm
- 0:10Speaker 1: Amy Torber and coming up on today's show, Bachelor golden
- 0:14Speaker 1: couple Georgia Love and Lee Elliott confirm their marriage is over.
- 0:18Speaker 1: Tommy Fury lands his own documentary. Georgie Stevenson is forced
- 0:23Speaker 1: to defend her conception timeline and Kourtney Kardashian hits back
- 0:27Speaker 1: at rumors she's a grandma.
- 0:29Speaker 2: But first, OG influencer.
- 0:31Speaker 1: Gretty Rose has thrown serious shade at her former bestie,
- 0:34Speaker 1: Ashy Bynes, and reignited interest in their historic friendship breakdown. Now, Sophie,
- 0:39Speaker 1: every week there seems to be an old friend taking
- 0:41Speaker 1: aim at Ashy. Yeah, it hasn't been a great start
- 0:43Speaker 1: to the year for her. She had that very public
- 0:46Speaker 1: falling out with her former podcast host, Kiara Durrow. And
- 0:49Speaker 1: following that bust up, Kiara caught up for drinks with
- 0:52Speaker 1: some of Ashy's former friends, which included Sammy Leo, Gretty Rose,
- 0:56Speaker 1: and Nat Rowland. to all swap stories about their experiences
- 1:00Speaker 1: with Ashy. And they, of course, splashed that catch up all.
- 1:03Speaker 2: Over social media to get their followers talking.
- 1:06Speaker 1: Well, there have been rumors of a rift between Ashy
- 1:09Speaker 1: and Gretty since 2022. Yeah, that's right. They used to
- 1:12Speaker 1: be permanent fixtures on each other's social channels. They even
- 1:15Speaker 1: appeared in best friend tag videos on YouTube. And they
- 1:18Speaker 1: tried to dress up like twins at one point because
- 1:21Speaker 1: everyone pointed out that they looked very similar. You know,
- 1:24Speaker 1: the friendship's gone to the next level when you're dressing
- 1:26Speaker 1: the same. They also seem to support each other a
- 1:29Speaker 1: lot in business. So they seem to collaborate on their
- 1:31Speaker 1: clothing brands together. But then suddenly in 2022, things went
- 1:36Speaker 1: really quiet between them and they stopped appearing in each
- 1:38Speaker 1: other's content. And then the dirty unfollow happened, which is
- 1:41Speaker 1: always a sign that something's gone on behind the scenes. Yeah,
- 1:44Speaker 1: the unfollow is a big thing, especially in the social
- 1:47Speaker 1: media world. That is friendship over. Well, it's almost like
- 1:49Speaker 1: putting out a PR statement saying, look, I want everyone
- 1:51Speaker 1: to know that we're not friends anymore.
- 1:52Speaker 2: I'm doing this very publicly.
- 1:53Speaker 1: Soft launching the friendship breakdown. Yeah, and- This was really
- 1:57Speaker 1: huge because Greti and Ashi had been friends for well
- 2:00Speaker 1: over seven years. They even lived together before Ashi got married.
- 2:03Speaker 1: And Greti had really built her following through Ashi's channels because,
- 2:07Speaker 1: as I said, she was a permanent fixture on her
- 2:09Speaker 1: YouTube channel. She was also a guest fitness instructor on
- 2:12Speaker 1: Ashi's booty tour. So she really did grow her profile
- 2:16Speaker 1: through befriending Ashy. And no one really knows what caused
- 2:19Speaker 1: this rift because both women haven't publicly spoken about it.
- 2:22Speaker 1: I mean, there is a lot of speculation that the
- 2:24Speaker 1: falling out was perhaps over business. It was around the
- 2:27Speaker 1: same time that a rift started developing between Ashy and
- 2:30Speaker 1: her other bestie, Sammy Leo. So they appeared to fall
- 2:33Speaker 1: out over a business decision because Ashy's brand Hideaway released
- 2:37Speaker 1: a lip balm, which Sammy deemed to be very similar
- 2:40Speaker 1: to her lip balm brand, which is called Breeze Balm.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Doesn't that just sound like an influencer problem? Like my
- 2:46Speaker 1: lip balm is so similar to yours. Well, Sammy ended
- 2:49Speaker 1: up sharing a meme which said, you know you're winning
- 2:52Speaker 1: when you're being copied. And that was after Ashley released
- 2:55Speaker 1: her hideaway lip balm.
- 2:56Speaker 2: So it was all very controversial at the time.
- 2:58Speaker 1: I think one of our most asked questions on Instagram was,
- 3:01Speaker 1: is what happened between Ashy and Sammy Leo. Everyone wants
- 3:05Speaker 1: us to do a deep dive. Maybe we'll have to
- 3:06Speaker 1: do one. Well, we might have to get in contact
- 3:08Speaker 1: with Sammy Leo and Ashy to actually find out what's
- 3:10Speaker 1: gone down because it seems all very secretive. Yeah. Well,
- 3:13Speaker 1: it really seems that this catch up between all of
- 3:15Speaker 1: Ashy's former friends has spurred the women on to take
- 3:18Speaker 1: further potshots at Ashy. So on Sunday, Greti took part
- 3:22Speaker 1: in a viral TikTok trend, which is all about confronting
- 3:25Speaker 1: that one girl. So in the video, she mimed to
- 3:29Speaker 1: Kendrick Lamar's diss track, Not Like Us, which is rumored
- 3:31Speaker 1: to be written about Drake.
- 3:33Speaker 2: God, he keeps popping up on the show, doesn't he?
- 3:35Speaker 2: And in the caption, it.
- 3:37Speaker 1: Said, I want to confront that one girl, but you know,
- 3:40Speaker 1: they will never admit they're wrong. Yeah, that girl. It
- 3:43Speaker 1: was very clear off the bat who Greti was referring to.
- 3:46Speaker 1: I mean, she only has 11,000 followers on TikTok. This
- 3:49Speaker 1: video garnered over 250,000 views because everyone was sending it on.
- 3:54Speaker 1: Her comment section lit up with people commenting that it
- 3:57Speaker 1: must be Ashi, and also her followers praising Greti and
- 4:01Speaker 1: the other women for taking a step away from Ashi.
- 4:04Speaker 1: Greti went as far as tagging Sammy Leo in the
- 4:07Speaker 1: comment section just to make sure she didn't miss out
- 4:09Speaker 1: on the drama, whilst Kiara Darrow, Ashi's former podcast host,
- 4:14Speaker 1: commented with three clapping hands. What a burn. This also
- 4:18Speaker 1: seemed to spur Kiara on to create her own video,
- 4:21Speaker 1: so she also mimed to the diss track whilst drinking
- 4:24Speaker 1: a glass of red wine and wrote the caption, cheers
- 4:27Speaker 1: to that. This actually led to one of Ashi's friends, Meg,
- 4:31Speaker 1: hitting out in the comment section. So she wrote to Kiara,
- 4:34Speaker 1: it's so gross to see a video designed to stir
- 4:36Speaker 1: up hate.
- 4:37Speaker 2: Social media has enough negativity. Why add to it?
- 4:40Speaker 1: If your content relies on toxic comments for engagement, maybe.
- 4:43Speaker 2: It's time for a new approach.
- 4:45Speaker 1: Kiara replied saying, feel free in a couple of years
- 4:48Speaker 1: to reach back out when you're in the same boat,
- 4:50Speaker 1: but I wish.
- 4:50Speaker 2: You the best.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Now, both women have turned off the comments on their videos.
- 4:54Speaker 1: I'm assuming for legal reasons, I would actually pay so
- 4:57Speaker 1: much money to be a fly on the wall of
- 5:00Speaker 1: a meeting between Ashi and her lawyer trying to explain
- 5:02Speaker 1: this trend. I think the trend seemed to backfire a
- 5:06Speaker 1: bit on Gretty and Kiara because there was a very
- 5:09Speaker 1: mixed reaction. Some followers love to be in on the
- 5:11Speaker 1: drama and the tea and they were Desperate for the
- 5:14Speaker 1: women to go into more details.
- 5:16Speaker 2: About their bust up with Ashi.
- 5:18Speaker 1: Whilst a lot of members in our Facebook community seem
- 5:20Speaker 1: to share the same sentiment that the women should move on.
- 5:23Speaker 1: One listener wrote, there's nothing to talk about or any
- 5:26Speaker 1: tea if they're not sharing more information. We've all seen
- 5:29Speaker 1: Ashi's true colors. It's kind of boring now. Whilst another said, sorry,
- 5:33Speaker 1: but it's childish. They are grown women. What a waste
- 5:35Speaker 1: of time and negative energy. I kind of get where
- 5:38Speaker 1: they're coming from because Even though these women might be
- 5:42Speaker 1: in the right sharing this type of content, it can
- 5:44Speaker 1: get to the point where it seems as if maybe
- 5:47Speaker 1: they're ganging up on her.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Yeah, it seems like a bit of a pile on.
- 5:50Speaker 1: In this case, I do see Ashi as being the
- 5:53Speaker 1: Goliath and the others as being the David in the
- 5:55Speaker 1: situation because, I mean, Ashi is the one with the
- 5:58Speaker 1: bigger profile, probably more money, more power in that situation.
- 6:01Speaker 1: So I feel like they think it's okay because they
- 6:03Speaker 1: feel like they're coming against someone who's bigger than them.
- 6:06Speaker 1: I find it interesting as well that the commentary is
- 6:09Speaker 1: basically saying tell us what's happened or we're not going
- 6:11Speaker 1: to be interested in support your comment. I also think
- 6:14Speaker 1: that there's a bit more sympathy going Ashi's way because
- 6:16Speaker 1: she's had a really tough time with her health over
- 6:18Speaker 1: the past year or so. She's been diagnosed with two
- 6:21Speaker 1: brain aneurysms. She's had to go through two separate surgeries.
- 6:24Speaker 1: So I think people are just thinking like, let's just
- 6:27Speaker 1: move on and get over it. We spoke last week
- 6:29Speaker 1: about the Michaela Testa drama and how a lot of
- 6:32Speaker 1: the back and forth between her and her former friend
- 6:34Speaker 1: had just muddied the water. That's what I see with
- 6:36Speaker 1: these kind of TikToks because You're not really making any
- 6:39Speaker 1: claims against her. You're sort of just stirring the pot.
- 6:43Speaker 1: It's a dog whistle, isn't it? They're trying to get
- 6:45Speaker 1: Ashley to react to it. I mean, I enjoy the
- 6:47Speaker 1: gossip and the tea, but I can see why other
- 6:49Speaker 1: people are saying, look, just move on. That's the moment
- 6:53Speaker 1: I met my husband. After months of speculation, Bachelor Golden
- 6:57Speaker 1: couple Georgia Love and Leigh Elliott have confirmed their marriage
- 7:01Speaker 1: is over. The couple, who were together for nine years,
- 7:04Speaker 1: shared identical statements on Instagram and emphasizing there was no
- 7:08Speaker 1: drama or bad blood between them. Now, so this news
- 7:11Speaker 1: didn't come as a shock to the public. No, there
- 7:13Speaker 1: have been persistent rumors for months now that their relationship
- 7:17Speaker 1: was on the rocks because Georgia and Lee hadn't been
- 7:19Speaker 1: seen in public or posted together for over four months
- 7:23Speaker 1: on socials. Another massive giveaway was that they had both
- 7:26Speaker 1: stopped wearing their wedding bands and they also didn't.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Spend Christmas together.
- 7:30Speaker 1: Now, rumors really intensified in the new year when Georgia
- 7:34Speaker 1: embarked on a solo trip to New York And she
- 7:37Speaker 1: was inundated with fans asking her where her husband Lee was. Now,
- 7:42Speaker 1: at the time, she shut down the rumors saying she
- 7:44Speaker 1: was incredibly tired of the questions and that he's simply
- 7:47Speaker 1: at home while she's there visiting a friend. She went
- 7:50Speaker 1: as far as saying, we didn't split, actually. Best to
- 7:53Speaker 1: stop speculating, least of all on my own page. If
- 7:56Speaker 1: I had anything to tell you, I would do so myself. Well,
- 7:59Speaker 1: it's quite clear that they've been trialing a separation before
- 8:02Speaker 1: making it official and And this is a massive decision
- 8:05Speaker 1: for anybody, let alone when you've met on The Bachelor
- 8:07Speaker 1: and everybody is so invested in your relationship. And we've
- 8:10Speaker 1: got to remember, they were going out for nine years.
- 8:13Speaker 1: They've been married for four. This is a really sad story. Yeah,
- 8:17Speaker 1: it would be so tough navigating it all in the
- 8:20Speaker 1: public eye because once the genie is out of the bottle,
- 8:22Speaker 1: it's very hard to put it back in. So ultimately,
- 8:24Speaker 1: I think that they wanted to give their relationship the
- 8:27Speaker 1: space and the time and to make sure maybe to
- 8:30Speaker 1: see if spending time apart was the right decision for them? Well,
- 8:33Speaker 1: on Friday night, they pulled the pin, as you said,
- 8:36Speaker 1: and they announced their split with identical statements on their
- 8:39Speaker 1: Instagram stories. So George's statement read, after nine wonderful years together,
- 8:43Speaker 1: including four as husband and wife, Lee and I have
- 8:46Speaker 1: made the incredibly difficult decision to lovingly part ways. Our
- 8:50Speaker 1: relationship has been so special and we will always cherish
- 8:53Speaker 1: the memories, love and laughter we've shared. There is no drama,
- 8:56Speaker 1: no bad blood. Just two people who have grown in
- 8:59Speaker 1: different directions while still holding deep respect and care for
- 9:03Speaker 1: each other. We remain friends and thank you for giving
- 9:05Speaker 1: us privacy as we navigate the next stage. Although I
- 9:08Speaker 1: knew this was coming, I couldn't help but feel so sad.
- 9:11Speaker 1: They were one of The Bachelor's biggest success stories and
- 9:15Speaker 1: they seemed like a really genuine couple. They seemed to
- 9:18Speaker 1: complement each other really well. And for me, it feels
- 9:21Speaker 1: like their wedding was only yesterday because I remember they
- 9:24Speaker 1: were supposed to have this European destination wedding, but it
- 9:28Speaker 1: got cancelled due to COVID. So they had a beautiful
- 9:30Speaker 1: wedding in Hobart where Georgia used to work as a journo. Well,
- 9:34Speaker 1: their wedding anniversary is actually coming up. So it's on Wednesday.
- 9:37Speaker 1: So I suspect this is why they've made this announcement
- 9:40Speaker 1: because there would have been a lot of speculation about, well,
- 9:44Speaker 1: why haven't they posted something about their anniversary? I did
- 9:47Speaker 1: find the wording of the statement very interesting. I mean,
- 9:50Speaker 1: it's clear that they've spent a lot of time agonising
- 9:52Speaker 1: about over getting the wording perfect and making sure it's
- 9:56Speaker 1: clear to the public that this is simply a case
- 9:58Speaker 1: of them growing apart and there's no other parties involved.
- 10:01Speaker 1: But I thought it was weird how they said that
- 10:03Speaker 1: they lovingly are parting ways. Because if you end your relationship,
- 10:08Speaker 1: it's generally because you've fallen out of love with someone.
- 10:11Speaker 2: I feel like they were trying to put a bit
- 10:12Speaker 2: too much mayo and sell it too much.
- 10:14Speaker 1: I think that's a lot of people to believe that
- 10:15Speaker 1: maybe one of them wanted children and the other one didn't,
- 10:18Speaker 1: and they might still have been in love, but some
- 10:20Speaker 1: people just can't get past if one wants them and
- 10:23Speaker 1: the other one doesn't. I mean, I'd hate to speculate
- 10:26Speaker 1: about it. Yeah, I saw that commentary and it made
- 10:28Speaker 1: me feel really uncomfortable because that might not be the
- 10:30Speaker 1: case at all. But I think When a couple like
- 10:32Speaker 1: that breaks up and, you know, they've made it clear
- 10:34Speaker 1: that they're still very much friends and love and respect
- 10:36Speaker 1: each other, I think people do jump to that conclusion.
- 10:39Speaker 1: For me, I thought it maybe came down to the
- 10:41Speaker 1: fact that they do live very different lives in the
- 10:45Speaker 1: sense of, you know, for Georgia, she works in breakfast
- 10:47Speaker 1: radio and she's a newsreader on there. She would be
- 10:50Speaker 1: getting up so early in the morning. It's a very
- 10:53Speaker 1: demanding job. I know when I worked in breakfast radio
- 10:56Speaker 1: just for a few months, I was an awful person
- 10:58Speaker 1: to be around because I was so sleep-deprived. If you're
- 11:01Speaker 1: getting up at 3am every morning, how are you then
- 11:04Speaker 1: having the quality time to spend with your partner? Well,
- 11:06Speaker 1: it can put a lot of pressure on your relationship. Yeah,
- 11:09Speaker 1: because Lee, he runs a large scale plumbing company. So
- 11:12Speaker 1: he's obviously very busy with his work as well. So
- 11:14Speaker 1: maybe they have grown apart. I thought it was clever
- 11:17Speaker 1: for them to say that there's no bad blood. And
- 11:19Speaker 1: no drama, because I think a lot of people would
- 11:22Speaker 1: have then jumped to the next conclusion that maybe one
- 11:24Speaker 1: of them cheated. I mean, they're both very good looking people.
- 11:27Speaker 1: I'm sure there's lots of offers in their DMs. I
- 11:29Speaker 1: think the reason why people are so upset about this
- 11:31Speaker 1: and why people like Lee and Georgia so much is
- 11:35Speaker 1: despite meeting on a show like The Bachelor, they have
- 11:37Speaker 1: a very down to earth vibe. And I think that
- 11:40Speaker 1: people almost think it's kind of like they're friends that
- 11:42Speaker 1: have just had this shock breakup. Like they were the
- 11:45Speaker 1: people that you would least expect to break up. And
- 11:47Speaker 1: that's why it's been met with such sadness. I do
- 11:50Speaker 1: believe that they will actually remain friends though, because I
- 11:52Speaker 1: remember Georgia seemed to be friends with a couple of
- 11:55Speaker 1: the guys that she dated.
- 11:56Speaker 2: Off the batch.
- 11:57Speaker 1: I know it's not quite the same as a marriage,
- 11:59Speaker 1: but I feel like They've both got those personalities where
- 12:02Speaker 1: they do want the best for one another. I think
- 12:04Speaker 1: it's different once you've been married for nine years compared
- 12:06Speaker 1: to going on a few dates.
- 12:07Speaker 3: On The Bachelor.
- 12:08Speaker 1: I think things change once people then finally move.
- 12:10Speaker 2: On and find someone else.
- 12:13Speaker 3: The secret's out there now.
- 12:15Speaker 1: Molly May's ex-fiancé Tommy Fury has revealed he's getting a
- 12:19Speaker 1: documentary of his own. The boxer made the announcement on
- 12:22Speaker 1: BBC's social channels promising an insight into his life inside
- 12:27Speaker 1: and outside the ring. Now, so this announcement comes just
- 12:30Speaker 1: weeks after part one of Molly's documentary Behind It All
- 12:34Speaker 1: dropped on Amazon Prime.
- 12:35Speaker 2: I am so excited.
- 12:36Speaker 1: Evidently, it seems like I may be the only person
- 12:38Speaker 1: who is excited about this announcement after reading Tommy Fury's
- 12:42Speaker 1: comment section. But the documentary is called Tommy, The Good,
- 12:46Speaker 1: The Bad, The Fury, which.
- 12:48Speaker 2: That makes me excited.
- 12:49Speaker 1: And it is expected to drop in between part one
- 12:52Speaker 1: and part two of Molly's doco. Now, the series is
- 12:55Speaker 1: being produced by the same production company which produced Tommy's brother,
- 12:59Speaker 1: Tyson Fury's recent show, which was called At Home With
- 13:02Speaker 1: The Furies. And just like Molly, Tommy has had camera
- 13:05Speaker 1: crews following him for months now. Now, the BBC have
- 13:09Speaker 1: described the documentary as a candid access all areas series.
- 13:13Speaker 1: And in their press release, the BBC said, just a
- 13:16Speaker 1: year ago, Tommy Fury seemed to have it all. Victory
- 13:19Speaker 1: over his biggest adversary, Jake Paul. a love with Molly
- 13:22Speaker 1: Mae and a beautiful baby daughter, Bambi. But in his
- 13:25Speaker 1: last fight, he damaged his hand and unable to train,
- 13:28Speaker 1: his life spun out of control.
- 13:30Speaker 2: Sounds very dramatic.
- 13:31Speaker 1: It does sound dramatic. Why do I think that so
- 13:33Speaker 1: much of this is just going to be him in
- 13:35Speaker 1: the ring and it's going to be boring though? They
- 13:37Speaker 1: have been teasing that it's going to concentrate also on
- 13:40Speaker 1: his personal life, but I think that they're going to
- 13:42Speaker 1: want to make This is a documentary not just for
- 13:44Speaker 1: women but also for men who will find the fighting side.
- 13:47Speaker 2: Of it interesting.
- 13:48Speaker 1: Well, there's a lot of pressure on the success of
- 13:50Speaker 1: this documentary because Molly's has just been such a knockout
- 13:53Speaker 1: for Pride. Yeah, but Molly also received some criticism for
- 13:57Speaker 1: it sort of being too overly produced and not serious enough. Yeah,
- 14:01Speaker 1: but it rated so well. Interesting it's on the BBC. Yeah, well,
- 14:06Speaker 1: Tommy actually made the announcement on BBC socials. It looked
- 14:09Speaker 1: like he had just filmed sort of a piece to
- 14:11Speaker 1: camera Here's what he said about it.
- 14:14Speaker 3: The secret's out there now. Me and the BBC have
- 14:16Speaker 3: been working closely on something very special. The cameras have
- 14:19Speaker 3: been following me for a few months now. Inside the ring,
- 14:22Speaker 3: outside the ring, all accesses of my life. And I
- 14:24Speaker 3: can't wait for you all to see it. It's coming
- 14:26Speaker 3: later on in the year. It's going to be on
- 14:27Speaker 3: BBC3 and BBC iPlayer. Take it easy, guys, and keep
- 14:30Speaker 3: the mice peeled.
- 14:32Speaker 1: I had to watch it a few times because it
- 14:34Speaker 1: almost looked like AI. Yeah, there was something that wasn't
- 14:37Speaker 1: quite right about it. He almost looked too filtered or something.
- 14:40Speaker 2: Maybe he'd accidentally put a filter on. Who knows?
- 14:44Speaker 1: Now, Tommy followed up saying, a lot of people see
- 14:46Speaker 1: me in the ring. They see me on social media,
- 14:48Speaker 1: but they don't see me, the person behind all of that.
- 14:51Speaker 1: I'm excited for everyone to finally be able to see
- 14:54Speaker 1: what goes on behind the scenes and how the big
- 14:56Speaker 1: fights are made, all the ups and downs, as well
- 14:58Speaker 1: as a glimpse into my private life. Well, it's pretty
- 15:01Speaker 1: clear that Molly won't feature in this because Tommy has
- 15:04Speaker 1: not featured in Molly's Amazon Prime series at all. I'm
- 15:08Speaker 1: assuming as well that because Molly has this documentary with Amazon,
- 15:11Speaker 1: she can't just be popping up on the BBC. Yeah,
- 15:13Speaker 1: I don't think we're going to be seeing her in
- 15:15Speaker 1: it at all. And it does make sense, particularly if
- 15:17Speaker 1: they have separate deals. I'm sure there's contracts in place
- 15:20Speaker 1: that they have to align with that particular streaming service.
- 15:23Speaker 1: I want to know if it was filmed at the
- 15:25Speaker 1: exact same time as part one, and will this also
- 15:27Speaker 1: be coming out as a part one, part two?
- 15:29Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 15:30Speaker 1: Well, it is safe to say that not everyone is
- 15:32Speaker 1: excited about this documentary. The comments section under this BBC
- 15:37Speaker 1: post were absolutely brutal. One user wrote, I'll be busy
- 15:40Speaker 1: watching paint dry, sorry, which received over 6,000 likes. Whilst
- 15:44Speaker 1: another said, I just feel like they're milking us. In fact,
- 15:47Speaker 1: I did not see one positive comment from anyone expressing
- 15:51Speaker 1: that they were looking forward to watching this. Well, I'm
- 15:52Speaker 1: not surprised because there was so much talk around Molly's
- 15:55Speaker 1: documentary that the whole thing was a big publicity stunt
- 15:58Speaker 1: between them. I mean, they both seem to be gaining
- 16:00Speaker 1: a lot out of this breakup. There's a thing that
- 16:02Speaker 1: has been this commentary that this announcement just proves that
- 16:05Speaker 1: the breakup was a huge publicity stunt. But I actually
- 16:08Speaker 1: think it does the opposite because to me, this documentary
- 16:12Speaker 1: is all about giving Tommy a much needed redemption arc
- 16:16Speaker 1: before he he and Molly officially get back together. We
- 16:18Speaker 1: all know that it's heading in that direction after their
- 16:20Speaker 1: New Year's Eve kiss. But wouldn't that prove the theory
- 16:23Speaker 1: that this is a huge publicity stunt and that they
- 16:25Speaker 1: were always going to break up and then get back together? No,
- 16:27Speaker 1: because why would you put your family through all of it?
- 16:30Speaker 1: I think that it was clear that his excessive drinking
- 16:33Speaker 1: and partying was getting out into the public. Molly and
- 16:36Speaker 1: her team couldn't manage it anymore. They couldn't stop this
- 16:39Speaker 1: avalanche of rumours that all these girls are bringing out there.
- 16:43Speaker 1: I genuinely think that Molly's only option at that time
- 16:46Speaker 1: was to legitimately break up with him.
- 16:48Speaker 2: Because- Oh, I agree.
- 16:49Speaker 1: I mean, there's no way you would go through all
- 16:52Speaker 1: of this as a stage breakup.
- 16:53Speaker 3: Yeah, I know.
- 16:54Speaker 1: And no one would want that scrutiny on their young family.
- 16:58Speaker 1: And also, Tommy has absolutely copped it on social media.
- 17:01Speaker 1: His image is down the toilet. Everyone has been horrific
- 17:05Speaker 1: to him. And they've got enough money. They're not going
- 17:07Speaker 1: to just blow their lives up so that they can
- 17:10Speaker 1: sell a clothing line that would have sold out anyway
- 17:12Speaker 1: and get these documentaries. These documentary offers would have been
- 17:15Speaker 1: on the table the second that Tyson Fury's documentary did
- 17:18Speaker 1: so well. And for Molly, she has been hell bent
- 17:21Speaker 1: on building this picture perfect relationship online. And her relationship
- 17:26Speaker 1: is always going to be tarnished because of this breakup.
- 17:29Speaker 1: Do you think that this documentary is going to have
- 17:31Speaker 1: as many TikTok moments or memeable moments that Molly's did?
- 17:35Speaker 1: I definitely think it has the potential to be memeable
- 17:38Speaker 1: because I think that Molly's followers will be holding on
- 17:40Speaker 1: to every little thing he says about Molly and their
- 17:43Speaker 1: relationship going forward. Well, also the fact that it's been
- 17:46Speaker 1: made by the same people who made At Home With
- 17:48Speaker 1: The Furies. I mean, that is one show that really
- 17:50Speaker 1: went off on TikTok. Yeah, I feel like they're going
- 17:52Speaker 1: to try and make this documentary really serious. And I
- 17:55Speaker 1: think that the BBC has the ability to turn him
- 17:58Speaker 1: from the villain into the hero, which I think Molly
- 18:01Speaker 1: and her team are hoping for. Because they're probably going
- 18:04Speaker 1: to go into the massive impacts that this hand injury
- 18:07Speaker 1: has had on his mental health and how it led
- 18:09Speaker 1: to his alcohol addiction and how it's all spiraled. And
- 18:13Speaker 1: I think that they're going to really demonstrate the emotional
- 18:16Speaker 1: impact that all of this trolling has also had on Tommy,
- 18:18Speaker 1: which is going to lead people to feel really bad
- 18:21Speaker 1: and tug at the heartstrings. And ultimately, I think that
- 18:24Speaker 1: this is going to drop before part two of Molly's
- 18:26Speaker 1: doco so that the public is geared up to see
- 18:29Speaker 1: them back together. So he's going to be portrayed in
- 18:31Speaker 1: this great light and everyone's gonna be like yay thank
- 18:33Speaker 1: god they're back together he just had this hurdle in
- 18:35Speaker 1: his life that was difficult well look i'm here for
- 18:38Speaker 1: this fairy tale i'm here for this rekindling of molly
- 18:41Speaker 1: and tommy and as you said having it played on
- 18:43Speaker 1: the bbc is going to add that more serious element
- 18:46Speaker 1: to the story i mean how do we watch it
- 18:47Speaker 1: here i don't even know what the bbc streaming service
- 18:50Speaker 1: is i'm sure someone will pick it up maybe abc
- 18:52Speaker 1: iview or something like that we'll have to figure it
- 18:54Speaker 1: out because i am really keen to watch this i
- 18:56Speaker 1: think i've got more chances of persuading my husband to
- 18:58Speaker 1: watch this with the boxing scenes maybe I can't eat this,
- 19:03Speaker 1: but how exciting is it to smell it? Kourtney Kardashian
- 19:07Speaker 1: has shut down claims her 15-year-old son, Mason Disick, fathered
- 19:11Speaker 1: a secret child in 2024, labelling the rumours as fake.
- 19:16Speaker 1: The 45-year-old hit out on Instagram, calling on the media
- 19:19Speaker 1: to leave her children alone. Amy, I have seen this
- 19:23Speaker 1: popping up all over my TikTok and mainstream media have
- 19:26Speaker 1: also picked up on this story. How did this all begin?
- 19:30Speaker 1: So the rumors began spreading because an Instagram account claiming
- 19:33Speaker 1: to be Mason popped up and revealed the baby news.
- 19:37Speaker 1: So the account called Mason DDSH uploaded a question and
- 19:41Speaker 1: answer box and answered a series of questions relating to
- 19:45Speaker 1: this supposed secret child. So one user wrote in asking,
- 19:49Speaker 1: did you have a baby and the account responded yeah
- 19:52Speaker 1: i did another asked for a picture of piper now
- 19:56Speaker 1: that is the rumored child's name and the account shared
- 19:58Speaker 1: what looked to me like an ai image of a
- 20:01Speaker 1: child another person asked who is piper to which the
- 20:05Speaker 1: account responded, a failed protection. These screenshots started being shared
- 20:10Speaker 1: all over TikTok and a lot of creators started sharing
- 20:12Speaker 1: reaction videos. And many people were shocked at the prospect
- 20:16Speaker 1: that Kourtney Kardashian could be a grandma at just 45.
- 20:20Speaker 1: I remember it was such a shock when she got
- 20:22Speaker 1: pregnant with Mason because she and her sister Khloe had
- 20:25Speaker 1: just launched Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami. And it was
- 20:28Speaker 1: meant to be about them being single and meeting new
- 20:30Speaker 1: people after she had split from Scott. But of course,
- 20:33Speaker 1: she and Scott ended up having Mason together. Yeah, well,
- 20:35Speaker 1: it sort of ruined a few of their storylines, didn't it?
- 20:38Speaker 1: It's crazy to think if they had TikTok then. I
- 20:40Speaker 1: just can't believe that Mason is 15 years old because
- 20:44Speaker 1: I feel like we've been seeing all these old paparazzi
- 20:47Speaker 1: images of him as a child, like just in kids' clothes.
- 20:51Speaker 2: And I was like, this is bullshit.
- 20:53Speaker 1: There is absolutely no way that he could have fathered
- 20:55Speaker 1: this child. But then there were some mainstream media publications
- 20:59Speaker 1: who started sharing pictures of him looking much older and
- 21:02Speaker 1: I thought, Maybe it's a possibility. Yeah.
- 21:04Speaker 2: And something that seemed.
- 21:05Speaker 1: To fan this rumour even more was that Kris Jenner
- 21:08Speaker 1: allegedly gifted a gingerbread house to the Barkers over Christmas
- 21:13Speaker 1: with the name Piper on it.
- 21:14Speaker 2: And this has become a Christmas.
- 21:16Speaker 1: Tradition for the Kardashians. She gives these elaborate gingerbread houses
- 21:20Speaker 1: and people are convinced that she personalised one with Piper.
- 21:23Speaker 1: I want to see the screenshots. Yeah, well, the rumours
- 21:26Speaker 1: also coincided with Scott Disick opening up about Mason on
- 21:30Speaker 1: Khloe Kardashian's podcast. He told Khloe, Mason started to really
- 21:33Speaker 1: like girls and obviously girls like him. I just said,
- 21:37Speaker 1: you can do whatever you want. Just don't lie and
- 21:39Speaker 1: don't manipulate any girls. So if a girl tells you
- 21:42Speaker 1: she wants to maybe do something with you and like
- 21:44Speaker 1: hook up or whatever, if she knows that you're not
- 21:47Speaker 1: in a relationship with her, don't tell her you were
- 21:49Speaker 1: just going to get something out of her. I think
- 21:51Speaker 1: a lot of people read into that commentary from Scott because,
- 21:55Speaker 1: I mean, Scott was such a ladies man on Keeping
- 21:57Speaker 1: Up With The Kardashians. He was often caught out cheating
- 22:00Speaker 1: on Kourtney. And I think people think, well, gosh, is
- 22:03Speaker 1: Mason a little Scott now? Like is he mimicking his
- 22:05Speaker 1: dad's behavior? I thought the Kardashians would kind of not
- 22:09Speaker 1: be enjoying this rumor, but a lot of people have
- 22:12Speaker 1: been saying that they aren't in the zeitgeist anymore. No
- 22:16Speaker 1: one really cares about them. They're not big news. Like
- 22:18Speaker 1: apparently the searches for Kim Kardashian are drastically down at
- 22:22Speaker 1: the moment. Their new show doesn't seem to be going well.
- 22:25Speaker 1: No one really.
- 22:25Speaker 2: Cares about it.
- 22:26Speaker 1: But I was like, Maybe this is true and maybe
- 22:29Speaker 1: this is a way for them to get attention and
- 22:31Speaker 1: it's going to be a future storyline. There have been
- 22:33Speaker 1: some pretty wild rumors floating around. And one of those
- 22:35Speaker 1: is that the Kardashian family have leaked this story about
- 22:38Speaker 1: Mason in order to divert attention away from Travis Barker's daughter, Alabama.
- 22:44Speaker 1: I don't know if you know much about herself, but
- 22:45Speaker 1: there's been so much on TikTok and also so much
- 22:48Speaker 1: in the press about this feud that Alabama is having
- 22:51Speaker 1: with a rapper called Bad Barbie. I mean, it's getting
- 22:53Speaker 1: very nasty. So The latest is that Bad Barbie has
- 22:57Speaker 1: accused Alabama of getting pregnant to rapper Tyga, which is
- 23:01Speaker 1: super awkward when you know the connection with the Kardashian family. Yeah,
- 23:04Speaker 1: because Kylie Jenner dated Tyga when she was just 17
- 23:08Speaker 1: years old. And then Tyga also shares a baby with
- 23:12Speaker 1: Rob Kardashian's baby mama, Blac Chyna. So I mean, it
- 23:17Speaker 1: kind of would make sense, though. He seems to like
- 23:19Speaker 1: the family, wants to be.
- 23:20Speaker 2: Part of it.
- 23:20Speaker 1: Well, Alabama and Tiger have both denied these rumours. I mean,
- 23:23Speaker 1: I think it's pretty wild to think that someone like
- 23:26Speaker 1: Kris Jenner, the grandmother of Mason, would come out and
- 23:29Speaker 1: be like, wait a sec, we're going to just throw
- 23:31Speaker 1: Mason under the bus and make up this fake rumour
- 23:33Speaker 1: that he's got a secret child. I really don't think
- 23:35Speaker 1: that Kris Jenner would sell her grandson out like that.
- 23:37Speaker 1: I think that they'd be trying to avoid any pregnancy rumours.
- 23:41Speaker 1: And it's pretty clear that this rumor has really affected
- 23:43Speaker 1: Kourtney Kardashian and her family because she addressed the rumors
- 23:47Speaker 1: on Monday and wrote on Instagram, I rarely address rumors
- 23:50Speaker 1: or conspiracies regarding myself or my family, but this is
- 23:53Speaker 1: about my child and it feels wrong to let anyone
- 23:56Speaker 1: think for a second that these lies are remotely true.
- 23:59Speaker 1: They are not. Mason does not have a child. These
- 24:02Speaker 1: accounts that pretend to be him are definitely not.
- 24:05Speaker 2: They are fake.
- 24:06Speaker 1: My son really values his privacy and I'm asking all
- 24:09Speaker 1: media to please be respectful. He is a kid with
- 24:12Speaker 1: feelings and a beautiful life ahead of him. Please stop
- 24:14Speaker 1: spreading false narratives and spinning lies. And to all the
- 24:17Speaker 1: other people making videos about my kids, who by the
- 24:20Speaker 1: way are minors, please stop and leave them alone. This
- 24:23Speaker 1: whole debacle reminds me a lot of the Kate Middleton
- 24:26Speaker 1: saga on TikTok, where all those videos started spreading and
- 24:29Speaker 1: then everyone started buying into them. I think another reason
- 24:31Speaker 1: why so many people were quick to believe these rumours
- 24:34Speaker 1: is because Mason has been known to go rogue on
- 24:37Speaker 1: Instagram before, because back in 2020, he made up an
- 24:41Speaker 1: Instagram live and started answering fan questions. And one of
- 24:45Speaker 1: the questions he answered was, was his auntie Kylie back
- 24:47Speaker 1: with Travis Scott? And he said, no, they're not back together.
- 24:51Speaker 1: It does disturb me though, that these type of rumors
- 24:54Speaker 1: can spread like wildfire on TikTok and people just start
- 24:57Speaker 1: to believe them as fact. I mean, The fact that
- 25:00Speaker 1: a lot of mainstream media were printing these accusations as well. Yeah,
- 25:04Speaker 1: purely because someone's jumped on TikTok and said, oh yeah,
- 25:07Speaker 1: this must be true. Yeah, like someone set up a
- 25:09Speaker 1: fake account for a 15-year-old. Where is the proof? I
- 25:12Speaker 1: think it says a lot about journalism ethics as well,
- 25:14Speaker 1: because this is a minor at the end of the day.
- 25:16Speaker 1: It doesn't matter if it's a celebrity's child or not.
- 25:19Speaker 1: They're posting untrue allegations as if fact. Well, a lot
- 25:23Speaker 1: of people have said, oh, they think it's ridiculous that
- 25:25Speaker 1: Kourtney's come out asking for privacy when she plasters her children.
- 25:29Speaker 1: on her social media channel and also.
- 25:31Speaker 2: On a TV show.
- 25:31Speaker 1: I wouldn't say she plasters them all over social media.
- 25:34Speaker 1: I think sharing a photo of your child isn't plastering.
- 25:36Speaker 2: Them over there.
- 25:37Speaker 1: Well, they mean that their whole lives have been on TV,
- 25:39Speaker 1: on the Kardashians. Yeah, but it doesn't mean that people
- 25:41Speaker 1: can make up vicious rumours about your 15-year-old fathering a child. Yeah.
- 25:47Speaker 2: I have this theory with pregnancy.
- 25:51Speaker 1: After a lengthy fertility journey, Georgie Stevenson has revealed she's
- 25:54Speaker 1: pregnant with her second child. While most followers were elated
- 25:58Speaker 1: by the exciting news, the entrepreneur was forced to defend
- 26:01Speaker 1: her conception timeline. Now, Soph, before we get into it,
- 26:04Speaker 1: can you tell us more about Georgie's fertility journey? Yeah,
- 26:07Speaker 1: she's always been very open with her followers about her
- 26:10Speaker 1: struggles to conceive. And before she gave birth to her daughter, Ivy,
- 26:15Speaker 1: Georgie was actually told that she was infertile due to
- 26:18Speaker 1: thyroid complications, but she ended up falling pregnant after eight
- 26:22Speaker 1: months of trying to conceive. Now, very sadly, she did
- 26:25Speaker 1: suffer a miscarriage, but then went on to have IV
- 26:28Speaker 1: in late 2021 after going through IUI. Yeah, and at
- 26:32Speaker 1: the end of last year, Georgie also revealed that she
- 26:34Speaker 1: and her husband, Tim, had been trying for a baby
- 26:37Speaker 1: since the beginning of the year, but were having trouble.
- 26:40Speaker 1: In a candid reel, she shared a compilation of diary
- 26:42Speaker 1: entries she'd filmed throughout the year, where she spoke about
- 26:45Speaker 1: the toll the journey was taking on her mental health.
- 26:48Speaker 1: In the caption of the reel, Georgie confessed she was
- 26:51Speaker 1: feeling exhausted and defeated. Super disappointing. I also feel, you
- 26:56Speaker 1: can see the bruise there, I also feel like quite sick.
- 27:01Speaker 1: My doctor said like never in his career has this
- 27:04Speaker 1: happened to a patient and he just feels so devastated
- 27:08Speaker 1: for us. Now Georgie actually wasn't going to share that
- 27:19Speaker 1: reel until she fell pregnant and but thought, well, it's
- 27:22Speaker 1: going to help other people going through a similar thing.
- 27:24Speaker 2: I'll be vulnerable and I will share it whilst I'm
- 27:26Speaker 2: going through the journey.
- 27:27Speaker 1: Yeah, and I think that was a really good decision
- 27:29Speaker 1: by Georgie because it would have helped so many people
- 27:31Speaker 1: feel less alone. Now, if we fast forward three months,
- 27:35Speaker 1: Georgie announced the exciting news that she is pregnant with
- 27:38Speaker 1: her second child. The couple shared a gorgeous photo shoot
- 27:41Speaker 1: and also a video showing their reactions to the positive
- 27:44Speaker 1: pregnancy test. I was so happy for them when this
- 27:47Speaker 1: post popped up. It was a really special moment, particularly
- 27:49Speaker 1: knowing just what they'd been through and how special it
- 27:52Speaker 1: was for them. And while most of Georgie's followers were
- 27:56Speaker 1: ecstatic for her, one follower wrote, wait, so when you
- 27:59Speaker 1: posted in December crying in your car that you weren't pregnant,
- 28:02Speaker 1: you actually were pregnant? Whilst others chimed in saying she
- 28:06Speaker 1: must have been lying. Oh my God. I just don't
- 28:09Speaker 1: know what would bring you to write something like that
- 28:11Speaker 1: on somebody's pregnancy announcement. And I was really happy because
- 28:14Speaker 1: Georgie came online and she shut down the allegations straight away.
- 28:18Speaker 1: So she shared a screenshot of the comment to her
- 28:20Speaker 1: Instagram story and wrote, also to those trying to catch
- 28:24Speaker 1: me out for posting out infertility journey and accusing me
- 28:27Speaker 1: of lying or whatever, guys, please start being obsessed with
- 28:30Speaker 1: your own life, not mine. But in all seriousness, here
- 28:33Speaker 1: are the receipts because you seem really worried about it.
- 28:36Speaker 1: So she went on to share the receipts, which were
- 28:38Speaker 1: screenshots of the dates the content was taken. And it
- 28:41Speaker 1: turns out that the reel she shared about her fertility
- 28:44Speaker 1: journey was uploaded on the 3rd of December. Well, she
- 28:47Speaker 1: took the pregnancy test on the 11th of December. So
- 28:50Speaker 1: she went on to write, like, I get it. What
- 28:52Speaker 1: a crazy miracle that I finally posted about our infertility
- 28:56Speaker 1: after 12 months, then got pregnant that month. Talk about
- 29:00Speaker 1: the energy of divine timing, surrender and detachment. I also
- 29:04Speaker 1: understand that may be triggering if you're going through your
- 29:06Speaker 1: own stuff. But surely you can just be happy for
- 29:09Speaker 1: a family finally getting their miracle baby. She then wanted
- 29:12Speaker 1: to say that she understands that people are curious and
- 29:15Speaker 1: she will share more on her podcast and YouTube about
- 29:17Speaker 1: their journey and offered people to DM her if they
- 29:20Speaker 1: had any questions. It is really sad because often when
- 29:23Speaker 1: influencers put up their pregnancy announcements, a lot of people
- 29:26Speaker 1: do get triggered who are going through these fertility journeys.
- 29:30Speaker 1: And You can see why people lash out. But in
- 29:33Speaker 1: this instance, it just seems really unfair because all of
- 29:36Speaker 1: her followers knew she had struggled previously to conceive.
- 29:38Speaker 2: It seems like a bit of miscommunication. aggression in some instances.
- 29:41Speaker 1: And I just think that we really need to encourage
- 29:45Speaker 1: people to speak openly about their fertility struggles. And it's
- 29:48Speaker 1: really concerning to me that people are attacking a woman
- 29:52Speaker 1: over being vulnerable about her fertility journey. Like trying to
- 29:55Speaker 1: catch her out as well. Yeah. Like why are we
- 29:57Speaker 1: trying to catch someone out? I mean, She was vulnerable
- 29:59Speaker 1: enough to open up about it and on numerous occasions
- 30:02Speaker 1: and share about her miscarriage and share about her struggles.
- 30:06Speaker 1: And then we say, oh, hold on a second. You
- 30:08Speaker 1: were lying to us the whole time. Even if she
- 30:10Speaker 1: did post when she knew that she was pregnant, which
- 30:13Speaker 1: isn't the case, who fucking cares? Well, it's also like,
- 30:16Speaker 1: can we just give her the benefit of the doubt? Because,
- 30:19Speaker 1: I mean, the accusation seems to be that she's using this,
- 30:22Speaker 1: you know, her infertility struggles. to get views or likes.
- 30:25Speaker 1: Georgie Stevenson doesn't need to do that. That's not really
- 30:28Speaker 1: what her content's about anymore. Her content is more about
- 30:31Speaker 1: business and also about her courses and that kind of thing.
- 30:36Speaker 1: She doesn't need that content to do well. I just
- 30:39Speaker 1: think people need to stop being dickheads online.
- 30:41Speaker 2: There should just be a no dickhead.
- 30:43Speaker 1: Rule in the comment section, which I suppose there probably
- 30:45Speaker 1: wouldn't be much engagement online anymore. But I think that
- 30:48Speaker 1: is all we have time for today. Thank you so
- 30:50Speaker 1: much for joining us. This episode was recorded on the
- 30:52Speaker 1: traditional land of the Kaurna people of.
- 30:54Speaker 2: The Adelaide Plains. We pay respect to elders past and present.
