- 0:00Speaker 1: I am Sherri Mackey, and it's time for us to
- 0:03Speaker 1: go to God in prayer. And as always, I invite
- 0:06Speaker 1: you to join along with me in prayer. Oftentimes, the
- 0:10Speaker 1: enemy knows he can't stop God's purpose and plan for
- 0:14Speaker 1: your life, so he'll bring distractions. I want to pray
- 0:16Speaker 1: against those distractions today. Oh, Heavenly Father, in the name
- 0:20Speaker 1: of Jesus Christ, we come before you asking you to
- 0:23Speaker 1: quiet everything around us that has been competing for our
- 0:27Speaker 1: attention and pulling us away from you and the purpose
- 0:30Speaker 1: you've placed before us. Lord, remove every distraction. Some distractions
- 0:35Speaker 1: are obvious, but others are subtle distractions. Some are people,
- 0:38Speaker 1: some are opportunities, some are worries, some are habits, and
- 0:42Speaker 1: some are simply the noise of life. There are things
- 0:45Speaker 1: that may not be sinful, but they are consuming time, energy,
- 0:49Speaker 1: and attention that you've called us to use differently. Father,
- 0:53Speaker 1: give us discernment to recognize what is a distraction and
- 0:57Speaker 1: what is truly an assignment from you. Help us to
- 1:00Speaker 1: distinguish between what's urgent and what's important. Give us wisdom
- 1:04Speaker 1: to know what deserves our attention and courage to walk
- 1:07Speaker 1: away from what does not. Lord, don't allow distractions to
- 1:11Speaker 1: cause us to miss our divine appointments, our divine opportunities,
- 1:16Speaker 1: our blessings, and the purposes that you've ordained for our lives.
- 1:20Speaker 1: Protect us. from the people who constantly drain us. Environments
- 1:25Speaker 1: that disturb our peace and conversations that produce confusion and
- 1:29Speaker 1: relationships that pull us away from your will. Father, quiet
- 1:33Speaker 1: the distractions in our minds. We come against the constant overthinking, worrying, fear, comparison,
- 1:40Speaker 1: and mental noise. that keeps us from hearing your voice clearly.
- 1:44Speaker 1: Give us the discipline, God, a disciplined mind and a
- 1:48Speaker 1: focused spirit. Help us to stop looking at what everyone
- 1:52Speaker 1: else is doing and focus on what you called us
- 1:55Speaker 1: to do. Lord, remove the distraction of comparison. Remove the
- 1:59Speaker 1: need for approval. Remove the fear of missing out. Remove
- 2:03Speaker 1: the temptation to chase things simply because they look good
- 2:08Speaker 1: in somebody else's life. Father, help us to understand that
- 2:12Speaker 1: everything that is available to us is not necessarily assigned
- 2:16Speaker 1: to us. Give us the wisdom to say no without
- 2:19Speaker 1: guilt and the courage to say yes when you're leading
- 2:22Speaker 1: us forward. And today, God, we declare we will not
- 2:25Speaker 1: be distracted from our purpose. We will not allow temporary
- 2:29Speaker 1: things to interfere with eternal life. We will not allow
- 2:33Speaker 1: people to pull us out of position. We will not
- 2:37Speaker 1: allow fear to keep us from moving forward. We will
- 2:40Speaker 1: not allow disappointments to make us lose focus. We will
- 2:43Speaker 1: not allow busyness to replace intimacy with you alone. God,
- 2:48Speaker 1: we will keep our eyes on Jesus Christ. We will
- 2:51Speaker 1: keep our heart aligned with God's will. We will keep
- 2:54Speaker 1: moving toward the purpose God has placed before us. Oh, Father,
- 2:58Speaker 1: sharpen our focus, order our priorities, guard our time, protect
- 3:02Speaker 1: our energy. Give grace, God. to finish what you called
- 3:07Speaker 1: us to start. If something is not from you, give
- 3:09Speaker 1: us the courage to release it. If a relationship is
- 3:13Speaker 1: distracting us, God, give us wisdom. If an opportunity is
- 3:17Speaker 1: distracting us, give us discernment. If our own desires are
- 3:21Speaker 1: distracting us, give us discipline. And if the enemy is
- 3:25Speaker 1: using distraction as a strategy to delay our destiny, expose it, God,
- 3:31Speaker 1: and give us the strength to overcome it. Lord, bring
- 3:34Speaker 1: us back to what matters. Bring us back to prayer.
- 3:37Speaker 1: Bring us back to your word. Bring us back to
- 3:39Speaker 1: your purpose. Bring us back to peace. Bring us back
- 3:42Speaker 1: to you. Father, we refuse to spend another season distracted
- 3:46Speaker 1: from what you called us to become. God, our eyes
- 3:49Speaker 1: are forward, our heart is focused, our steps are ordered,
- 3:53Speaker 1: and our purpose is secured. Oh, God, we trust you
- 3:56Speaker 1: to lead us into everything you've prepared for us in
- 4:00Speaker 1: the mighty, focused, and purposeful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen, amen,
- 4:05Speaker 1: and amen.
