- 0:10Speaker 1: Good morning everyone. This is Michelle Used from Ageless and Timeless. Today,
- 0:14Speaker 1: I have a guest that I've been talking to for
- 0:16Speaker 1: quite a while because he's a very close friend of
- 0:20Speaker 1: my friend Rob Fletcher, who is the senior vice president
- 0:24Speaker 1: of business development for a Muscle and Fitness, which is
- 0:28Speaker 1: one of our podcast Distrivision sites. As people who have
- 0:31Speaker 1: been watching me for a while now that we are
- 0:34Speaker 1: very much positioned to the demographic of athletes and fitness
- 0:39Speaker 1: professionals and people who are generally healthy but want to
- 0:42Speaker 1: stay that way or even improved. We all want to improve.
- 0:45Speaker 1: We can't stop that journey. And so this is my
- 0:50Speaker 1: guest is Eric Roser, and he is a really well renowned,
- 0:55Speaker 1: a well recognized bodybuilder, and he's going to tell you
- 0:59Speaker 1: all about his journey. Hear how he got to where
- 1:01Speaker 1: he is today. But I was reading his bio and
- 1:04Speaker 1: what really shocked me was that Eric, by the way.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Good morning morning.
- 1:11Speaker 1: I was just so stocked when I learned that you
- 1:14Speaker 1: were once one hundred and twenty five pounds or something
- 1:18Speaker 1: like that. Is that that true or was that a
- 1:20Speaker 1: little bit of a stretch not.
- 1:22Speaker 2: A stretch at all? I was an extremely skinny, skinny kid,
- 1:26Speaker 2: and when I started this journey into the whole bodybuilding thing. Yeah,
- 1:32Speaker 2: I was actually the same height I am now, which
- 1:34Speaker 2: is just under six feet, and I weighed one hundred
- 1:36Speaker 2: and twenty five pounds and a strong wind can blow
- 1:38Speaker 2: me over. I was a good athlete, you know. I
- 1:41Speaker 2: was able to play sports really well. But I had
- 1:44Speaker 2: like just no muscle on my body or no visual muscle.
- 1:47Speaker 2: And I just weighed a hundred twenty five pounds. And
- 1:49Speaker 2: then that's why I wanted to put All I wanted
- 1:52Speaker 2: to do was put some weight on and be more
- 1:54Speaker 2: you know, normal weight. It wasn't really I wasn't intending
- 1:57Speaker 2: on being a bodyboilder.
- 1:59Speaker 1: So what made what made you change your direction?
- 2:03Speaker 2: You know? I was picked on a lot as a kid,
- 2:06Speaker 2: you know, especially when I got into like junior high school,
- 2:08Speaker 2: high school, all the bigger guys for some reason, I
- 2:12Speaker 2: don't know why, decided to target me. And uh that
- 2:17Speaker 2: was really really a tough for me. A tough time
- 2:21Speaker 2: being picked on and not really feeling like I had
- 2:24Speaker 2: anything that I could do about it. And uh, the
- 2:27Speaker 2: first thing I did is actually started taking martial arts. Uh.
- 2:31Speaker 2: So I did that for a number of years and
- 2:33Speaker 2: ironically enough, my martial arts teacher, my main teacher, he
- 2:37Speaker 2: had actually got into bodybuilding during the time that I
- 2:41Speaker 2: was working with him, and I was watching his uh
- 2:44Speaker 2: you know, body change, uh and I was very very interested.
- 2:48Speaker 2: So I wanted to know what he worked out and
- 2:49Speaker 2: everything like that. And and I was always interested in
- 2:51Speaker 2: when I was when I was a young kid, I
- 2:54Speaker 2: was always interested in, you know, athletes or or movie actors,
- 3:00Speaker 2: anyone who had a muscular physique. You know, even comic
- 3:02Speaker 2: book superheroes. That always fascinated me. But I never really
- 3:07Speaker 2: looked at myself as being able to do that. But
- 3:08Speaker 2: then when I saw my martial arts teacher building very
- 3:13Speaker 2: very close friend of mine, my friend Mitch dinowhich has
- 3:15Speaker 2: been my friend for fifty years. He was very heavy,
- 3:18Speaker 2: I was very skinny, and we decided to start bodybuilding together.
- 3:22Speaker 2: I wanted to put weight on and just you know,
- 3:24Speaker 2: be more normal. You wanted to lose weight. So it
- 3:26Speaker 2: was good combination and that's what we did. We started
- 3:29Speaker 2: doing it. Actually, we got a little home gym together
- 3:31Speaker 2: in my basement, started at age sixteen, and we went
- 3:35Speaker 2: to work.
- 3:37Speaker 1: You know, I think this actually says something about epigenetics.
- 3:41Speaker 1: Because if genetically you were predispositioned to be one hundred
- 3:44Speaker 1: and twenty five pounds and just under six feet and
- 3:47Speaker 1: yet you had an ability through epigenetic's In other words,
- 3:53Speaker 1: you altered your genes by your lifestyle or by your
- 3:56Speaker 1: activities and your diet, which is really all part of lifestyle.
- 4:01Speaker 1: So what would you say about that, would you comment
- 4:04Speaker 1: on the role of genetics and epigenetics and your development
- 4:09Speaker 1: and your evolution.
- 4:11Speaker 2: I think that, I mean all of us have worn
- 4:13Speaker 2: you know, obviously with the body type. You know, in bodybuilding,
- 4:16Speaker 2: they normally refer to it as ectomorph, andomorph, mesomorph. So
- 4:20Speaker 2: an ectomorph is tending towards to being skinnier, fast metabolism,
- 4:24Speaker 2: that's their natural body type. Endomorph is usually a little
- 4:27Speaker 2: bit heavier, you know, having a little bit more muscle
- 4:29Speaker 2: on the body. It usually has trouble losing body fat,
- 4:32Speaker 2: so it'd be like a thicker type of person. And
- 4:34Speaker 2: then a mesomorph is the perfect thing for bodybuilding because
- 4:37Speaker 2: then they're just naturally muscular with low body fat and
- 4:39Speaker 2: they easily put on muscles. So that's the best body type.
- 4:42Speaker 2: But most people are a combination of these things, and
- 4:45Speaker 2: very very few people are strictly one or the other.
- 4:49Speaker 2: But you know, I don't, I mean, I don't believe
- 4:51Speaker 2: that you can actually alter your actual genetic map, but
- 4:55Speaker 2: you can. You can work with it intelligently, consistently, with
- 5:02Speaker 2: dedication and passion, and you can bring out the best
- 5:06Speaker 2: of your genetics. Now, obviously somebody who is more you know,
- 5:11Speaker 2: ectomorphic like I was, obviously I had the ability to
- 5:15Speaker 2: put on muscle. But for me, it's going to be
- 5:17Speaker 2: a much harder journey to put on muscle than a
- 5:21Speaker 2: mesomorph or even an enomorph. If you're an enomorph and
- 5:24Speaker 2: you want to lose body fat, it's going to be
- 5:25Speaker 2: harder for you to do that than a mesomorphor an ectomorph.
- 5:28Speaker 2: So you have to learn what your genetic tendency is,
- 5:31Speaker 2: and then you have to base your program on what
- 5:35Speaker 2: your genetic makeup is and how you can, to the
- 5:38Speaker 2: best of your ability, work with your genetics and bring
- 5:43Speaker 2: out whatever it is that you're trying to do. So
- 5:45Speaker 2: for me, it was a much more difficult journey than
- 5:48Speaker 2: for somebody else who might be, you know, more naturally muscular.
- 5:50Speaker 2: But I was very very determined and worked very hard
- 5:56Speaker 2: for many years to you know, to you know, bring
- 6:00Speaker 2: out the best of myself and to this day I'm
- 6:02Speaker 2: still working with well.
- 6:04Speaker 1: You know, this is also another commentary about human nature
- 6:08Speaker 1: and passion and desire and commitment and goal setting and
- 6:13Speaker 1: all the things that we hear about in all these
- 6:15Speaker 1: you know, life coach trainings, and you just you didn't
- 6:20Speaker 1: have that person or that training. You just knew it
- 6:24Speaker 1: inside yourself, you felt it, and then you just set
- 6:28Speaker 1: on a path and basically you designed your your own
- 6:32Speaker 1: journey by just being determined to change. So I really want,
- 6:37Speaker 1: you know, anyone that's watching today to really be inspired
- 6:41Speaker 1: by Eric's experience and his accomplishments, because this is something
- 6:46Speaker 1: that very often people say, oh, I can't do that
- 6:49Speaker 1: because of you know, one reason or another, and they
- 6:52Speaker 1: come up with all kinds of excuses. But you didn't
- 6:55Speaker 1: do that. You know, you said, look, i'm here, I
- 6:58Speaker 1: don't like where I am, I don't like being picked on.
- 7:01Speaker 1: I'm going to do something about this. And you were
- 7:03Speaker 1: bound and determined with you know, all the different facets
- 7:07Speaker 1: that go into that to change. So let's go through
- 7:10Speaker 1: that because I think people need to understand what it
- 7:13Speaker 1: took to go from being one hundred and twenty five
- 7:16Speaker 1: and under six feet to being what you are today,
- 7:19Speaker 1: which I assume is over two hundred pounds, right, two
- 7:22Speaker 1: hundred probably.
- 7:23Speaker 2: More like two hundred and fifty two fifty, So I
- 7:25Speaker 2: actually doubled my body weight.
- 7:27Speaker 1: But how much what is your muscle mass?
- 7:30Speaker 2: Well, I mean I don't know. I mean my body
- 7:32Speaker 2: fat percentage is you know, like around eight eight nine percent.
- 7:35Speaker 2: So I mean I'm very lean at this at this size,
- 7:39Speaker 2: so I would say that my body fat I look
- 7:43Speaker 2: lower and body fat at this weight than I did
- 7:44Speaker 2: probably when I was a kid. So I mean I
- 7:47Speaker 2: literally probably added a good solid one hundred and twenty
- 7:50Speaker 2: five pounds of muscle to my body a period of time,
- 7:53Speaker 2: which is you know, that's quite a bit. That's quite
- 7:56Speaker 2: a bit. I added another person to myself.
- 7:58Speaker 1: So that's what you did. Well, okay, so what let's
- 8:01Speaker 1: go through the steps and how you got there and
- 8:03Speaker 1: just take us through you know, those first moments when
- 8:06Speaker 1: you made the decision that I am going to be
- 8:10Speaker 1: different than what I am today? And then what did
- 8:12Speaker 1: you do? And who inspired you? With the martial arts
- 8:14Speaker 1: teacher obviously, who else was on your path to help
- 8:18Speaker 1: you to get these achievements?
- 8:21Speaker 2: Well, I mean it was really you know, mostly, like
- 8:24Speaker 2: I said, I was always a fan of any athlete
- 8:28Speaker 2: or you know, actor or anybody out there that I
- 8:32Speaker 2: saw who had a lot of muscle. I always looked
- 8:34Speaker 2: to these people as special.
- 8:37Speaker 3: You know.
- 8:37Speaker 2: I always thought I was always impressed by that. That
- 8:39Speaker 2: was something that always impressed me. And maybe it was
- 8:40Speaker 2: because I was such a skinny kid that I looked
- 8:43Speaker 2: at that and I was like, Wow, that's so incredible.
- 8:46Speaker 1: Well, but you know, the role models, so like Arnold Schwarzenegger,
- 8:50Speaker 1: I would.
- 8:50Speaker 2: Yeah, like Arnold Schwarzenegger or Sylvester Stallone or you know,
- 8:54Speaker 2: anybody who I saw that was you know, certain one
- 8:57Speaker 2: of my favorite baseball players of all time. This goes
- 8:59Speaker 2: back way. His name was Reggie Jackson, who played for
- 9:01Speaker 2: the Yankees. He was very muscle. He did a lot
- 9:04Speaker 2: of weight training in his so whenever I would see
- 9:06Speaker 2: him go up to the to bat and he'd be
- 9:08Speaker 2: wearing like a short sleep kind of shirt, I see
- 9:10Speaker 2: these big arms and I'd be like, oh my god,
- 9:12Speaker 2: it's so impressive. So anyone who I saw that was
- 9:15Speaker 2: you know, very physically fit with muscle was impressive to me.
- 9:18Speaker 2: But you know, nobody there was really nobody around me
- 9:21Speaker 2: except for my friend, my best friend, Mitchell, I mentioned
- 9:25Speaker 2: that had any confidence that I could do this. I mean,
- 9:27Speaker 2: you know, most people thought that I was wasting my
- 9:29Speaker 2: time because they're like, no, you're just born to be skinny.
- 9:33Speaker 2: That's just the way it's going to be for you.
- 9:34Speaker 2: You're never going to really gain muscles because you're just
- 9:36Speaker 2: not made for that. And I just did not listen
- 9:40Speaker 2: to anyone. I just said, you know, no, I mean
- 9:42Speaker 2: I can do this now that I expect to be
- 9:45Speaker 2: a bodybuilder that competed. And you know, though I ended
- 9:47Speaker 2: up on a magazine cover, no, I didn't expect that.
- 9:50Speaker 2: I just wanted to kind of create an armor for myself.
- 9:53Speaker 2: I wanted to feel better about myself. I wanted to
- 9:56Speaker 2: feel more secure. I wanted to stop the people from
- 9:59Speaker 2: picking on me. You know, I just there was just
- 10:01Speaker 2: a lot of those those reasons that went into it.
- 10:04Speaker 2: So I basically just did a lot of research. I
- 10:07Speaker 2: didn't have any I didn't really have anybody teaching me,
- 10:11Speaker 2: Hey Eric, this is what you got to eat, Hey Eric,
- 10:13Speaker 2: this is how you have to train. It was just
- 10:15Speaker 2: more me doing research. So I started reading. I started
- 10:18Speaker 2: reading books by every single body below that I that
- 10:21Speaker 2: had a book out there. I started doing research. I
- 10:23Speaker 2: started just putting together a program for me that made sense.
- 10:29Speaker 2: So I would just gather all the information when I
- 10:31Speaker 2: possibly could, and I would sift through it, and you know,
- 10:35Speaker 2: some things, I would say, this makes sense to me,
- 10:38Speaker 2: let me try it. But I tried everything, like I
- 10:40Speaker 2: was like, because everybody had different training programs, different ideas,
- 10:44Speaker 2: because everybody comes from you know, maybe they learned from
- 10:46Speaker 2: somebody else or whatever influenced them. So I decided to
- 10:49Speaker 2: try everything. And then slowly over time, you know, I
- 10:52Speaker 2: started to hone things down to become a program for myself,
- 10:56Speaker 2: which even to this day, as you get older, body changes,
- 11:00Speaker 2: your metabolism changes, your hormones change, everything changes, so you
- 11:04Speaker 2: have to keep evolving your program in order to keep
- 11:06Speaker 2: making progress. So even to this day, I do that.
- 11:09Speaker 2: But I just started off, like I said, We had
- 11:12Speaker 2: a little a little gym in my basement with basic equipment,
- 11:16Speaker 2: and I was kind of the leader. My friend was
- 11:18Speaker 2: kind of the follower, and he just said, all right,
- 11:19Speaker 2: whatever you tell me to do, we're going to do.
- 11:21Speaker 3: Today's podcast is brought to you by Water and Wellness.

- 11:28Speaker 3: find purified water. They have a countertop system that I
- 11:33Speaker 3: use and I travel with it all the time, So
- 11:35Speaker 3: I would highly recommend you look at that.

- 11:40Speaker 4: percent discount. Waterinwellness dot com Forward slash pages, forward slash

- 12:01Speaker 4: learn about all those natural additives to optimize your health
- 12:05Speaker 4: and longevity.
- 12:06Speaker 2: And I think that maybe we weren't doing everything correct
- 12:10Speaker 2: in the beginning. We're probably doing too much, probably training
- 12:13Speaker 2: too much, probably training for too long. But you know,
- 12:17Speaker 2: I had so much passion and so much desire and
- 12:20Speaker 2: so much dedication to it that you know, what what
- 12:24Speaker 2: I was doing was working. And of course the biggest
- 12:27Speaker 2: part for me was I had to just start eating
- 12:29Speaker 2: and I didn't really know, you know, back then, I
- 12:32Speaker 2: didn't really know a lot about diet and nutrition obviously
- 12:35Speaker 2: like I do now or I did years after that.
- 12:38Speaker 2: So in the beginning for me, it was like just eat, eat,
- 12:40Speaker 2: just get calories in. Because you know, I was young,
- 12:42Speaker 2: my body just utilized everything and I just needed to
- 12:45Speaker 2: just gain weight. So I just would eat all day long.
- 12:48Speaker 2: Was just eating, eating, eating junk food, good food, whatever
- 12:51Speaker 2: disgusting protein powders they had out there. I just ate
- 12:54Speaker 2: and my body started to respond. I think in the
- 12:57Speaker 2: first year of working out and doing that, I think
- 13:02Speaker 2: I gained almost maybe forty pounds, so I think I
- 13:04Speaker 2: went from about one twenty five to one sixty five.
- 13:06Speaker 2: It wasn't all perfect, you know, you know, probably a muscle,
- 13:10Speaker 2: but it was just so I started to feel a
- 13:12Speaker 2: little bit better about myself, get stronger. And then, like
- 13:14Speaker 2: I said, I just kept on learning. I was one
- 13:17Speaker 2: thing about me was that I was always wanted to
- 13:20Speaker 2: learn more. So I mean I was just constantly researching
- 13:23Speaker 2: and reading and just sucking it all in and just
- 13:27Speaker 2: being like, you know, I really want to know about this.
- 13:29Speaker 2: I want to know why, why the body grows, you know,
- 13:32Speaker 2: why the body loses body fat, what's the science behind it?
- 13:35Speaker 1: So well from the beginning, Yeah, so I do think
- 13:39Speaker 1: that again, we always have to look at the deeper
- 13:42Speaker 1: meaning of all this and to understand human behavior and
- 13:45Speaker 1: why we do the things that we do. So so
- 13:48Speaker 1: in your case, you know, I could just extrapolate for
- 13:51Speaker 1: a moment and say, what are the qualities about yourself
- 13:54Speaker 1: that allowed you to stay on course and to you know,
- 13:59Speaker 1: never give up? That was one quality, Never give up,
- 14:02Speaker 1: curiosity about you know, the path that you were on
- 14:06Speaker 1: and learning as much as you could from the experts
- 14:09Speaker 1: and maybe not always the people that you would turn
- 14:11Speaker 1: to today now that you're far more evolved, but at
- 14:15Speaker 1: that time they were your teachers, and you know, they
- 14:18Speaker 1: weren't directly in your life. They were there through somewhat
- 14:22Speaker 1: of a passive way because you had to go find
- 14:25Speaker 1: them through books and literature. But anyway, I think that
- 14:29Speaker 1: curiosity to learn, the thirst for learning. So these are
- 14:34Speaker 1: you know, qualities that everybody that's watching today needs to
- 14:37Speaker 1: ask themselves. Do I possess these qualities that will allow
- 14:41Speaker 1: me to set a goal and never be undeterred, never
- 14:45Speaker 1: give up, and no matter what happens. And this is
- 14:48Speaker 1: what Eric, I would, you know, give you great kudos
- 14:50Speaker 1: for your accomplishments, because not always do people. People look
- 14:56Speaker 1: at you, they say, oh, you were here there at
- 14:57Speaker 1: one point, now you're here. But they don't look at
- 15:00Speaker 1: what it took in terms of the real depth of
- 15:03Speaker 1: your character and your person and your soul, at your
- 15:07Speaker 1: soul level that made you into what you are today.
- 15:11Speaker 1: So anyway, I just wanted to make that point because
- 15:14Speaker 1: I'm always about the deeper meaning of behind things, and
- 15:17Speaker 1: in your case, it doesn't You don't have to go
- 15:19Speaker 1: very deep, very obvious that you are very determined and
- 15:25Speaker 1: extremely disciplined. So so, what were some of the learning
- 15:29Speaker 1: curves that you had to go through during that period?
- 15:33Speaker 1: Now you know you were sixteen, but now you know
- 15:36Speaker 1: these many years later, you've had a lot of right
- 15:39Speaker 1: hand turns and you know, probably dead ends, and so
- 15:42Speaker 1: so what share with us some of the you know,
- 15:45Speaker 1: the experiences you had that you would help to guide
- 15:48Speaker 1: someone else not to make those same mistakes. And particularly
- 15:52Speaker 1: I'm thinking and diet and nutrition because that's one of
- 15:55Speaker 1: the biggest areas, and then of course supplements, and then
- 15:59Speaker 1: not the least of importance is your actual workout. So
- 16:03Speaker 1: can you kind of dive in for us and tell
- 16:05Speaker 1: us you know where you were then, what you learned
- 16:09Speaker 1: not to do and to do by experience, and what
- 16:13Speaker 1: you would now do today in your coaching. I know
- 16:16Speaker 1: that's a big question, but yeah.
- 16:18Speaker 2: That's problem. Well, I think I think, like I said,
- 16:21Speaker 2: you know, in the beginning, you know, when you first
- 16:23Speaker 2: start working out in general, for anyone, you could do
- 16:27Speaker 2: a lot of things wrong and still make progress because
- 16:29Speaker 2: you know, you're still you're doing something that your body
- 16:32Speaker 2: wasn't doing before. So even if you're maybe not doing
- 16:34Speaker 2: every sex exercise correctly, maybe not even the perfect diet,
- 16:38Speaker 2: you're still you know, giving your body a stimulus that
- 16:40Speaker 2: it's never had before, so you're gonna probably make some progress.
- 16:43Speaker 2: And I think that's the way I was in the beginning,
- 16:45Speaker 2: even though I was still pretty good about learning exercise
- 16:48Speaker 2: form and technique, I would, you know, really try to
- 16:50Speaker 2: you know, follow you know, the bodybuilders that you know
- 16:54Speaker 2: that were there before me, and try to do things right.
- 16:58Speaker 2: Perhaps I wasn't always doing things is right, perhaps like
- 17:01Speaker 2: I said, and then before you know, I might have
- 17:03Speaker 2: been doing too much because I was so enthusiastic. And
- 17:07Speaker 2: people have to understand that when it comes to bodybuilding,
- 17:10Speaker 2: more is not necessarily better. It's it's it's about doing
- 17:14Speaker 2: the right amount of training and then allowing your body
- 17:18Speaker 2: to recover because you do not build muscle in the gym.
- 17:20Speaker 2: You tear muscle down in the gym. That's your stimulus.
- 17:23Speaker 2: You build muscle when you're at rest, when you're eating,
- 17:25Speaker 2: when you're sleeping, when you're resting. So you have to
- 17:27Speaker 2: understand that there is a balance there. If you train
- 17:31Speaker 2: too much, you might go past your ability to recover,
- 17:35Speaker 2: which another which is another part of genetics, because there
- 17:37Speaker 2: are people out there who can take an enormous amount
- 17:41Speaker 2: of training and thrive on it, and then there are
- 17:44Speaker 2: people out there who can very easily overtrain and if
- 17:48Speaker 2: they spend more than forty five minutes in the gym,
- 17:50Speaker 2: their body has trouble recovering. So you have to discover
- 17:53Speaker 2: this about yourself. So it's just it's a I encourage people,
- 17:57Speaker 2: you know, to spec actually now because things are so
- 18:01Speaker 2: much different now than they were back then. Now with
- 18:04Speaker 2: social media, the whole world has changed. I mean, it's
- 18:07Speaker 2: just there's so many people out there putting out so
- 18:12Speaker 2: much content on so many platforms. You have to be
- 18:15Speaker 2: very very careful who you follow, who you listen to.
- 18:18Speaker 2: You've got to really really make sure that you're listening
- 18:22Speaker 2: to the right people because a lot of people out
- 18:23Speaker 2: there who don't put out the best content. They might
- 18:29Speaker 2: put things out there that don't apply to you. Maybe
- 18:32Speaker 2: just apply to them. You know, I have to as
- 18:35Speaker 2: a coach, I have to understand everybody's body. I have
- 18:39Speaker 2: to understand all different types of limitations, all types of injuries,
- 18:45Speaker 2: all types of genetics, all time, you know, you know
- 18:48Speaker 2: their work schedule, everything. There's so many things to take
- 18:50Speaker 2: into consideration. I think one of the biggest problems that
- 18:53Speaker 2: a lot of the young guys have out there is that,
- 18:57Speaker 2: you know, they'll just they'll just go on YouTube whatever,
- 19:00Speaker 2: and they'll they'll find their favorite bodybuilder who is this,
- 19:03Speaker 2: you know, Olympia competitor, you know, one of the best
- 19:06Speaker 2: in the world, and they'll be like, oh, I want
- 19:08Speaker 2: to be like him or I want to be like her,
- 19:10Speaker 2: so let me just do what they do. But you
- 19:12Speaker 2: can't do that because number One, those people who you
- 19:15Speaker 2: see on those big stages are number one, they're genetic freaks.
- 19:19Speaker 2: They're the ones who are on the farthest highest level
- 19:23Speaker 2: of genetics for building muscle. They're the people who, like,
- 19:28Speaker 2: for instance, somebody who plays an instrument, they're the people
- 19:32Speaker 2: who pick up a guitar. They never have a lesson
- 19:34Speaker 2: and they know how to play it. It's like unbelievable
- 19:37Speaker 2: because they're just wired for it. So you can't look
- 19:40Speaker 2: at these Very few of us are in that ninety
- 19:43Speaker 2: nine point nine percent percentile of genetics, so you can't
- 19:48Speaker 2: follow what they do. Second thing you have to understand
- 19:50Speaker 2: also is that there is the reality that there are
- 19:53Speaker 2: performance enhancing drugs that are you know that a lot
- 19:56Speaker 2: of these you know, will take. And I'm not making
- 19:57Speaker 2: a judgment on them. I'm just saying that you have
- 20:00Speaker 2: to understand that that's part of it as well. So
- 20:02Speaker 2: they because they do that, and because this is their living,
- 20:06Speaker 2: you know, they may be able to just eat, train,
- 20:09Speaker 2: eat and sleep, their body can recover a lot better.
- 20:11Speaker 2: You know, they have you know, extra things turbo charging them.
- 20:14Speaker 2: So you have to be very very careful. You have
- 20:16Speaker 2: to find you have to. You could take some of
- 20:19Speaker 2: the stuff that they do, but don't follow it one
- 20:23Speaker 2: hundred percent. But you can't be somebody who's sixteen or
- 20:26Speaker 2: seventeen years old just getting into this and think you're
- 20:28Speaker 2: going to train like somebody who is one of the
- 20:30Speaker 2: best in the world who does it for a living.
- 20:33Speaker 2: So you have to be very very careful about who
- 20:35Speaker 2: you follow. You have to do like what I did,
- 20:36Speaker 2: You have to do a lot of research, a lot
- 20:38Speaker 2: of experimentation. See. I always tried to keep a notebook
- 20:44Speaker 2: of programs that I would use for say like eight
- 20:46Speaker 2: weeks at a time, whether it be a diet or
- 20:48Speaker 2: training program. How did it affect my body? How did
- 20:51Speaker 2: my body look before and after? How is my strength?
- 20:55Speaker 2: How is my sleep during that time? If this was
- 20:58Speaker 2: working for me, okay, let me put this and integrate
- 21:01Speaker 2: this into my program. If this is not working for me,
- 21:03Speaker 2: let me put this out of my program and then
- 21:04Speaker 2: try to find something else. So if you really really
- 21:08Speaker 2: want to be you know, good at this and this,
- 21:12Speaker 2: I'm speaking mostly to the people out there who are
- 21:14Speaker 2: of average genetics, which is most of us average genetics,
- 21:16Speaker 2: who still want to build a spectactical physique. And everybody
- 21:20Speaker 2: can everybody can average genetics. Listen. I had looked like
- 21:25Speaker 2: zero genetics. I still ended up being turning professional as
- 21:28Speaker 2: a bodybuilder. Magazine cover adds everything I did. It. It
- 21:32Speaker 2: was a lot of hard work. It was a lot
- 21:34Speaker 2: of experimentation, you know, it was a lot of you know,
- 21:38Speaker 2: like I said, integrating things, getting rid of things, trying
- 21:41Speaker 2: to learn from some of the best. And you know,
- 21:43Speaker 2: don't only go to bodybuilders. Go to coaches like myself,
- 21:47Speaker 2: Go to people who train other people, go to exercise scientists.
- 21:51Speaker 2: You know, there's a lot of people out there who
- 21:54Speaker 2: may not have the physique that you're after, but they
- 21:57Speaker 2: have the knowledge. Maybe they're a coach, they train others.
- 22:00Speaker 2: They don't necessarily want to look like them, but they
- 22:02Speaker 2: train them. So don't just go to bodybulage. You have
- 22:05Speaker 2: to really expand your knowledge base. Learn everything you can
- 22:07Speaker 2: about nutrition supplementation. It's a process and if you really
- 22:11Speaker 2: really want to be good at this, you have to
- 22:13Speaker 2: really really throw yourself into it one hundred percent, unless
- 22:17Speaker 2: you could, you know, hire a coach or a mentor
- 22:19Speaker 2: who's really really good and they can guide you, which
- 22:22Speaker 2: is what I do now. But if you're on your own,
- 22:25Speaker 2: you know you could still do it. You just have
- 22:27Speaker 2: to take your time, and you know, be careful of
- 22:30Speaker 2: who you listen to, who you follow, and just you know,
- 22:34Speaker 2: just put your mind to it and you'll get them.
- 22:36Speaker 2: More than anything, it's about dedication, consistency, discipline, and passion
- 22:42Speaker 2: and belief in yourself. Those things are more important than
- 22:45Speaker 2: any of it.
- 22:46Speaker 1: Now, you just said exactly what I think our viewers
- 22:49Speaker 1: need to hear, which is what I was trying to
- 22:51Speaker 1: you know, talk about a few moments ago to you know,
- 22:54Speaker 1: go deeper and look at the characters characteristics of the
- 22:58Speaker 1: person that allows them could be go from A to B,
- 23:02Speaker 1: which is a huge distance of achievement and in your case,
- 23:07Speaker 1: mega mega huge. So tell us about what happens. Well,
- 23:12Speaker 1: first I have a question to ask you. Why is
- 23:15Speaker 1: it that most trainers are more rep oriented there. You know,
- 23:20Speaker 1: they don't really train you. They just want you to
- 23:23Speaker 1: go to the gym and do repetitions and and then
- 23:26Speaker 1: somehow rather that passes office training. Why is that? Why?
- 23:30Speaker 1: How is that different from how you are coaching people?
- 23:35Speaker 2: Most most of the trainers out there, again, this is
- 23:37Speaker 2: the problem with today. You have to you have to
- 23:41Speaker 2: be very careful who you listen to. Most coaches out
- 23:44Speaker 2: there put together cookie cutter programs for people, so it's
- 23:50Speaker 2: a kind of one size fits all. But how could
- 23:52Speaker 2: you get together a program for you know, a sixteen
- 23:55Speaker 2: year old who you know wants to gain wait for football,
- 23:59Speaker 2: versus is a forty two year old man who you
- 24:02Speaker 2: know he has three kids now and he works a
- 24:05Speaker 2: full time job and he just wants to kind of
- 24:07Speaker 2: get his body back to where it was when his
- 24:09Speaker 2: early thirties. They're completely different programs. Same thing with women.
- 24:12Speaker 2: I mean, what happens if a woman wants to be
- 24:15Speaker 2: look more like a bikini model versus a woman who
- 24:18Speaker 2: she had three children and she just wants to get
- 24:20Speaker 2: our body back. You can't give people cookie cut at programs.
- 24:23Speaker 2: It doesn't work. You know, we're all individuals. Yes, we
- 24:26Speaker 2: all have generally two eyes, nose, mouths, we have a heart,
- 24:30Speaker 2: we have lungs, but our genetic makeup is completely different.
- 24:33Speaker 2: Our circumstances are different, our time limitations are different. There's
- 24:38Speaker 2: so many differences between us as individuals that you have
- 24:40Speaker 2: to individualize a program. So coaches who just give people
- 24:46Speaker 2: here do this and I see it all the time
- 24:49Speaker 2: in it and it makes me crazy. Those are people
- 24:52Speaker 2: who they want to have a thousand clients. They're just
- 24:56Speaker 2: in it for the money because the more clients they
- 24:59Speaker 2: could put out there on the program. They don't care
- 25:03Speaker 2: whether they really get results or not. They just want
- 25:05Speaker 2: to make it easy. So they could give everybody the
- 25:07Speaker 2: same workout and it doesn't take a lot of time.
- 25:09Speaker 2: The difference with somebody like me is that, of course
- 25:12Speaker 2: I want to make a good living. We all want
- 25:13Speaker 2: to make a good living. But for me, it's all
- 25:18Speaker 2: about results, and I want to be the kind of
- 25:21Speaker 2: coach that I would have wanted to have when I
- 25:25Speaker 2: was young. So my programs are one hundred percent individualized.
- 25:31Speaker 2: I gather my information about each person. I have an
- 25:34Speaker 2: extensive questionnaire. Now I have a way for you could
- 25:37Speaker 2: do a phone console with me for free. We talk
- 25:39Speaker 2: as well, and I will put together a program diet
- 25:43Speaker 2: training that it's based on the equipment that you have available.
- 25:47Speaker 2: Maybe you train in your house with limited equipment. Maybe
- 25:50Speaker 2: you train in a full sized gym. Maybe if you
- 25:52Speaker 2: train in an apartment gym. I want to know what
- 25:54Speaker 2: equipment you have available so I can put together a
- 25:56Speaker 2: program based on that equipment. I want to know do
- 25:59Speaker 2: you have any injuries that I have to worry about.
- 26:01Speaker 2: Do you have any perhaps conditions or illnesses that I
- 26:05Speaker 2: need to know about that could affect you. You know,
- 26:07Speaker 2: I want to see what you look like now. I
- 26:09Speaker 2: want to know what you are. Send me a picture
- 26:12Speaker 2: of the body that you'd like to look like. Take
- 26:15Speaker 2: everything to account. There is not one client that I've
- 26:19Speaker 2: ever had in my life that's had the same program
- 26:21Speaker 2: as another client. Ever, sometimes there could be some similarities,
- 26:24Speaker 2: you know, body below. You know, because I have certain
- 26:26Speaker 2: theories of practice of what I believe builds muscle the quickest,
- 26:32Speaker 2: the types of diets that I feel are the most
- 26:34Speaker 2: effective for fat loss or for muscle gain, But the
- 26:37Speaker 2: calories will always be different, you know, exercises might be different.
- 26:40Speaker 2: Hold on yards. And that's why I actually only keep
- 26:44Speaker 2: a certain a limited amount of clients at any one time,
- 26:48Speaker 2: because I realized as I was going through the process
- 26:51Speaker 2: of evolving my business, there was kind of a limit
- 26:54Speaker 2: to the amount of people that I could train effectively
- 26:57Speaker 2: and still be able to be there for each person.
- 27:00Speaker 2: So I want a person to be able to email
- 27:02Speaker 2: me and say, Hey, Eric, I have a question of
- 27:05Speaker 2: that's this exercise, or Eric, I have a question about
- 27:07Speaker 2: this food. I want to be able to get back
- 27:10Speaker 2: to them within twenty four hours and give them an answer.
- 27:13Speaker 2: I don't want them to get lost in my emails
- 27:15Speaker 2: and like I never get back to them. You know,
- 27:17Speaker 2: I want to be able to be really, really there
- 27:19Speaker 2: for each one of my clients. Maybe maybe I cost
- 27:22Speaker 2: a little bit more than other people, but I think
- 27:23Speaker 2: it's worth it because they're getting a real service from me.
- 27:26Speaker 2: So I can train people anywhere in the world, which
- 27:29Speaker 2: is you know, I have clients all over the world
- 27:31Speaker 2: and all over the country, and I can make their
- 27:35Speaker 2: experience really like as if they have me in their
- 27:37Speaker 2: back pocket, you know, because I will be there for them.
- 27:40Speaker 2: They could text me, they can call me, they can
- 27:42Speaker 2: you know, whatever they need to do, and I will
- 27:44Speaker 2: be there for them. So to really this is kind
- 27:47Speaker 2: of a real roundabout answer to your question. I just
- 27:50Speaker 2: think that a lot of coaches out there are in
- 27:52Speaker 2: this for the wrong reason. They don't have the right
- 27:55Speaker 2: mindset and they don't care enough with them my clients,
- 27:59Speaker 2: I care about the results as much as I've ever
- 28:01Speaker 2: cared about my own. My clients are like my family.
- 28:04Speaker 2: So when you become when you sign on with me,
- 28:08Speaker 2: you become part of that family. And I will work
- 28:10Speaker 2: my hardness to get to those results. And that's just
- 28:12Speaker 2: the way I operate.
- 28:14Speaker 1: So Eric, it's one thing to be able to do
- 28:17Speaker 1: a zoom call like we're are doing right now, and
- 28:20Speaker 1: to interact in that way with information and then follow
- 28:24Speaker 1: up with you know, written information for people to study
- 28:28Speaker 1: and then you know, go purchase the food and purchase
- 28:31Speaker 1: the supplements and so forth. But what about when you
- 28:33Speaker 1: go into the gym and that you're not there with
- 28:37Speaker 1: that person and they don't really understand form or functionality
- 28:42Speaker 1: for that matter. You've tried to teach them, you know,
- 28:45Speaker 1: what what equipment to use and how to do it
- 28:49Speaker 1: and how many reps, But how do you monitor that
- 28:52Speaker 1: part of the program.
- 28:54Speaker 2: Well, that's that's it's a great question because when I
- 28:57Speaker 2: was you know, when I started out in this business,
- 29:00Speaker 2: I was actually physically there with every person. I did
- 29:02Speaker 2: in home personal training, where I go to people's homes
- 29:04Speaker 2: and train them or train them in the gym. I
- 29:07Speaker 2: do less of that now, although a lot of clients
- 29:10Speaker 2: they'll come from out of state or even in another country,
- 29:12Speaker 2: and they'll come and they'll spend a week with me
- 29:14Speaker 2: in Vegas or whatever, and they'll let me train them
- 29:16Speaker 2: to make sure that their form is right spot on,
- 29:18Speaker 2: or the techniques that I've given them that they utilizing
- 29:21Speaker 2: them properly. Because I have a lot of very specialized techniques.
- 29:24Speaker 2: I will tell people if you're a complete, one hundred
- 29:27Speaker 2: percent beginner, like you've never been in the gym before.
- 29:31Speaker 2: Don't necessarily hire me for training, because I think it's
- 29:34Speaker 2: important for them they need somebody to If I tell
- 29:38Speaker 2: them to do a lab poll down or a squad
- 29:40Speaker 2: or whatever and they have no idea how to do it,
- 29:42Speaker 2: that's not going to serve their purpose. So I do
- 29:45Speaker 2: have some people that, maybe because you know they have
- 29:49Speaker 2: they have the funds to do which is great, who
- 29:52Speaker 2: will want me to put them on a program and
- 29:54Speaker 2: then they'll actually have a trainer. You'll be like, here's
- 29:57Speaker 2: the program, this is what the coach gave me. Please
- 30:00Speaker 2: take me through the workout until they learn. So I
- 30:02Speaker 2: could suggest something like that. Sometimes I could say, have
- 30:05Speaker 2: a personal trainer with you, who you trust there to
- 30:08Speaker 2: take you through my program and show you the proper form.
- 30:11Speaker 2: I'm very exercise. But if you don't have that, then
- 30:14Speaker 2: I'll say you're probably better off working with a personal
- 30:16Speaker 2: trainer one on one for at least a little while
- 30:18Speaker 2: a few months, learn the basic exercises, the techniques, learn
- 30:22Speaker 2: the names, get comfortable with the gym, then come back
- 30:25Speaker 2: to me and then allow me to properly program you.
- 30:28Speaker 2: Although I could always work with anybody on diet, that's
- 30:30Speaker 2: no problem. But in terms of exercise is I want
- 30:33Speaker 2: to make sure I don't want anybody getting hurt in
- 30:35Speaker 2: the gym and everybody doing the exercises correctly. Because as
- 30:39Speaker 2: one thing I emphasize as a trainer, if anybody watches
- 30:43Speaker 2: my videos training, how I train myself and when I
- 30:46Speaker 2: train O people, I am a stickler for form. I
- 30:49Speaker 2: want the form to be perfect. I want the form
- 30:53Speaker 2: and form. Let me just point out the proper form
- 30:57Speaker 2: from one person might not be the exact proper form
- 31:00Speaker 2: for another person because everybody's body structure is a little
- 31:03Speaker 2: bit different, the clavicles, whether how tall they are, so
- 31:07Speaker 2: there might be slightly different you know, techniques or form
- 31:11Speaker 2: points that I have to point out for each person.
- 31:13Speaker 2: But basically, I want everybody to use strict form and
- 31:15Speaker 2: target the actual muscles that they're trying to work, not
- 31:20Speaker 2: target joints or attachments or things that are going to
- 31:23Speaker 2: cause injury. Make sure, you know, make sure that you're
- 31:25Speaker 2: targeting the muscles, you're utilizing the muscles to move the weight,
- 31:29Speaker 2: You're not using momentum, you're not using you know, cheating form.
- 31:33Speaker 2: I think that's very, very vital for everybody to learn
- 31:36Speaker 2: right from the beginning a lot of Let me just
- 31:38Speaker 2: go back to before when I say, well, if you
- 31:40Speaker 2: look at a lot of the pro body whithers out there,
- 31:42Speaker 2: not all, but most of them, their form is not
- 31:45Speaker 2: necessarily very good in every exercise. They're just so genetically
- 31:48Speaker 2: gifted that they can almost just look at a weight
- 31:50Speaker 2: and make progress. That's how gifted they are. That's not
- 31:53Speaker 2: the case for most of us. The case is that
- 31:55Speaker 2: we really really need to use proper form on our
- 31:58Speaker 2: exercises in order to properly art.
- 32:01Speaker 1: You know, I think it's really comforting for most of
- 32:05Speaker 1: the people listening and watching that you're one of them.
- 32:09Speaker 1: I mean you you are not a We're not a
- 32:11Speaker 1: gifted bodybuilder mesomorph. You are. You are one of them.
- 32:16Speaker 1: So they can really feel that you relate to their journey,
- 32:21Speaker 1: their struggles and the challenges to get to be to improve.
- 32:25Speaker 1: So I think that's a big, big gift that you have,
- 32:29Speaker 1: is your empathy and your your patients, because you're not
- 32:33Speaker 1: just someone that can walk into the gym and be
- 32:36Speaker 1: muscular the next day. What about your number of clients.
- 32:42Speaker 1: I think you told me you have about fifty at
- 32:44Speaker 1: one time. Is that still the case?
- 32:46Speaker 2: Yes, fifty is the is my ware limit myself. I
- 32:48Speaker 2: fee limits myself the fifty clients if I go, if
- 32:51Speaker 2: I keep getting inquiries after that, I'll put them on
- 32:53Speaker 2: a waiting lists generally. And then it's normal for clients
- 32:57Speaker 2: to drop out in and out, Like I have clients
- 32:59Speaker 2: who will work with me for competition and then maybe
- 33:01Speaker 2: they'll take a couple of months off and then we'll
- 33:02Speaker 2: start again. So you know, usually people just can pop
- 33:05Speaker 2: in and out. But I keep myself to fifty. That
- 33:07Speaker 2: seems to be the number for me that works the best,
- 33:10Speaker 2: that allows me to actually get some sleep at night.
- 33:12Speaker 2: And you know, it's still like a treat everybody, you
- 33:16Speaker 2: know personally, give them individualized attention whenever they need it.
- 33:19Speaker 2: That seems to be the number that works well for me.
- 33:21Speaker 1: And then what what what's the charge? How does how
- 33:24Speaker 1: do your fees work? Well?
- 33:26Speaker 2: They can always go to you know, my website which
- 33:28Speaker 2: is ww dot browserbuilt dot com okay has this fee
- 33:32Speaker 2: structures on it. And then there's basically there's three levels
- 33:35Speaker 2: of programs at the basic level, intermediate level, and then
- 33:39Speaker 2: the advanced level. The advanced level is also like kind
- 33:41Speaker 2: of contest preparation level. UH and they're you know, each
- 33:45Speaker 2: level has you know, obviously costs more, but it just
- 33:49Speaker 2: depends on how much accountability you want to have with me,
- 33:51Speaker 2: how fast you want your progress to be, maybe what
- 33:54Speaker 2: level you're at. Sometimes people will bounce back and forth
- 33:57Speaker 2: between advanced and intermediate, depending on where they are season
- 34:00Speaker 2: if they're a competitor, most people fall into the intermediate.
- 34:05Speaker 2: In advance, very few people do basic. But if you're
- 34:08Speaker 2: limited on funds, and we all know the economy is tough,
- 34:12Speaker 2: sometimes you know, I will. I will work with you,
- 34:14Speaker 2: and sometimes I'll even make hybrid programs. If a person
- 34:18Speaker 2: wants to do something that's sort of in between one
- 34:21Speaker 2: of those programs, I'll come up with a pricing schedule
- 34:23Speaker 2: for them that will give them a little bit more
- 34:25Speaker 2: of an individual plan. Because I just want everybody to
- 34:28Speaker 2: get exactly what they want, you know, I want everybody
- 34:30Speaker 2: to get what they need for me. So and you know,
- 34:34Speaker 2: if somebody says to me, this is all the money
- 34:36Speaker 2: that I can afford each month, this is my budget,
- 34:38Speaker 2: I'll say, this is what I can do for you
- 34:40Speaker 2: for that. You know, I try to work with everybody
- 34:41Speaker 2: if I can, being fair to myself but also trying
- 34:44Speaker 2: to work with people. So just go to my website
- 34:47Speaker 2: and you can see the different It's easier to look
- 34:49Speaker 2: at it visually and if for me explain each one,
- 34:51Speaker 2: because there's some that just our diet, there's some that's
- 34:53Speaker 2: just training, there's some that's together in one package. And
- 34:56Speaker 2: that's that's why a look at it. But I try to,
- 34:59Speaker 2: Like I said, I might be a little bit more
- 35:01Speaker 2: money than some of the but if you have a
- 35:02Speaker 2: cookie cutter coach, it's all about you know, are you
- 35:05Speaker 2: going to get any results for your money? You know,
- 35:06Speaker 2: if you're spending the price, that's meaningless.
- 35:09Speaker 1: So you know this is customized. So why do you
- 35:14Speaker 1: have the aka Merlin?
- 35:17Speaker 2: That is interesting that So back in about twenty fourteen,
- 35:22Speaker 2: I was living in California. I was living in Marina
- 35:26Speaker 2: del Rey, California.
- 35:28Speaker 1: I lived there for a year.
- 35:29Speaker 2: Eric, Oh, digit, yeah, So I lived there for several years.
- 35:33Speaker 2: I trained a golds Jym Venice, and I was working
- 35:36Speaker 2: with a I was working with a professional bodybunder. He
- 35:39Speaker 2: was getting ready for a competition and I was programming
- 35:42Speaker 2: his diet and his training. And one day he said
- 35:46Speaker 2: to me, he said, Hey, Eric, I'm going to go
- 35:48Speaker 2: to gym and I'm being filmed by this guy named
- 35:52Speaker 2: Dave Borla who does filming, like he films bodybuilders getting ready,
- 35:57Speaker 2: you know, doing their workouts and this and that, and
- 35:59Speaker 2: it got put up on a play platform for Muscular
- 36:01Speaker 2: Development magazine, which at the time was one of the
- 36:04Speaker 2: biggest magazines, and they had a website, so those videos
- 36:06Speaker 2: were very, very popular. He said, I'd like you to come,
- 36:10Speaker 2: you know, and train me on camera. So I was like,
- 36:14Speaker 2: oh great, this, this sounds great. So I went to
- 36:16Speaker 2: to Gould's gym and we trained on camera in front
- 36:18Speaker 2: of you know, we did this whole thing, and then
- 36:20Speaker 2: the cameraman, Dave came to me after shooting and he said,
- 36:26Speaker 2: he goes, wow, I really love what you did. He
- 36:29Speaker 2: goes your techniques and the things that you said. He's like,
- 36:33Speaker 2: he's like, everybody needs to know about you. He's like,
- 36:36Speaker 2: why are you not known by like everybody? And I said, well,
- 36:40Speaker 2: I just haven't had I haven't had a lot of
- 36:42Speaker 2: video stuff. I said, also because I was more in
- 36:45Speaker 2: the realm of the drug free part of the sport,
- 36:48Speaker 2: which is not as popular as the other part of
- 36:50Speaker 2: the sport. So I said, you know, maybe that's why
- 36:52Speaker 2: he goes, well, I want you to be known. He said,
- 36:54Speaker 2: will you do a show with me weekly? Will you
- 36:58Speaker 2: train people and you teach people? And I was like,
- 37:00Speaker 2: of course, it's great and it was awesome. So in
- 37:03Speaker 2: through that I started doing that show with him, which
- 37:06Speaker 2: was called Broser Built at the time, and I became
- 37:11Speaker 2: his coach. He was a bodybuilder also, and he said
- 37:14Speaker 2: he kind of felt like he had reached his genetic
- 37:18Speaker 2: potential and I said, no, no, you haven't. I said,
- 37:20Speaker 2: you just need to do things differently. He said, well,
- 37:23Speaker 2: will you coach me? I said yeah, I'll coach you.
- 37:25Speaker 2: So I started coaching him and I transformed his body
- 37:29Speaker 2: into something that he just couldn't believe that he can
- 37:31Speaker 2: actually ever achieve. And he said to me, he goes,
- 37:34Speaker 2: you are like a magician. He's like, you are like
- 37:37Speaker 2: a physique magician. He's like, I think it's like you
- 37:40Speaker 2: like Merlin the magician. And he called me Merlin and
- 37:44Speaker 2: it just literally stuck start. I used to walk into
- 37:49Speaker 2: the Golds gym all the time and it wasn't it
- 37:51Speaker 2: wasn't hay Ark, it was a Merlin Ay Merlin. And
- 37:53Speaker 2: then eventually I even got I had a magazine column
- 37:57Speaker 2: which was called Ask Merlin, and then and then even
- 38:01Speaker 2: now my supplement company, spell boun Nutrition is based on
- 38:03Speaker 2: the Merlin name and most of the products are called
- 38:07Speaker 2: Merlin this Merlin Nat. So it became I have to
- 38:11Speaker 2: Dave Orla thank you for giving me that nickname. It
- 38:13Speaker 2: stuck and it's great.
- 38:14Speaker 1: That's what that's what we call branding. I even have.
- 38:18Speaker 2: And then people would start to you, like even I
- 38:20Speaker 2: don't know if you could see this, he says, coach
- 38:22Speaker 2: coach Marlan. People started making me things, sending me Merlin dolls.
- 38:26Speaker 2: I have over there Merlin t shirts.
- 38:30Speaker 1: Well that says a lot right there. You know, obviously
- 38:34Speaker 1: that's a satisfied customer who gave you a brand, a
- 38:38Speaker 1: gift of you know, a brand that is stuck with
- 38:41Speaker 1: all these years that have passed. So yeah, I'm trained
- 38:45Speaker 1: with in what was his name, Carl, You probably know him.
- 38:51Speaker 1: He was He took me over to Golds Gym. That
- 38:53Speaker 1: was my one tore into Golds Gym. But I had
- 38:56Speaker 1: trained at his house first. I have his name in
- 38:59Speaker 1: my file, but probably is I just when I find it,
- 39:03Speaker 1: I'll send it to you. It's it's his friend. Name
- 39:06Speaker 1: is Carl, and I just remember I went to his
- 39:08Speaker 1: house and somewhere near Marina del Rey and pained with
- 39:13Speaker 1: him there and uh then he said, well it's time
- 39:16Speaker 1: for me to take you to the gym. So that's
- 39:18Speaker 1: when we went to Gold. That was such an exciting experience,
- 39:21Speaker 1: and of course I was get a little bit intimidated
- 39:24Speaker 1: when you're just a business executive who's you know, yes,
- 39:27Speaker 1: interested in health and fitness and so, but you're surrounded
- 39:32Speaker 1: by people that are doing this for a living.
- 39:35Speaker 2: Well, he certainly took you to the pinnacle of gyms
- 39:38Speaker 2: at the time. Back then that was you know, that
- 39:40Speaker 2: was the place to be for everybody builder, actors, everything.
- 39:43Speaker 4: I know.
- 39:44Speaker 1: And there were a few of them there for sure,
- 39:46Speaker 1: not a few, a lot, but but I was you know,
- 39:48Speaker 1: he kept me very focused on his program, so I
- 39:52Speaker 1: didn't get to really but you know, obviously you feel
- 39:55Speaker 1: the energy around you. There was another guy I was
- 39:58Speaker 1: supposed to train with. He was in Sandy Diego, La Joya.
- 40:01Speaker 1: He also very famous to.
- 40:03Speaker 2: Live in Lahoya too, So who was.
- 40:06Speaker 1: The big trainer there? A big big bodybuilder there.
- 40:09Speaker 2: That was a lot of them. It depends on when
- 40:12Speaker 2: I mean, because I lived there actually from like nineties
- 40:15Speaker 2: for about a year and a half ninety six to
- 40:17Speaker 2: half and ninety seven.
- 40:18Speaker 1: That was about the time frame that I would have
- 40:21Speaker 1: been there too.
- 40:22Speaker 2: There was there was a lot of body builder was
- 40:23Speaker 2: there still, So it could have been it could have
- 40:25Speaker 2: been almost anybody.
- 40:26Speaker 1: Yeah, well I'll find those names. It's just you have
- 40:29Speaker 1: to dust off some cobwebs. But yeah, yeah, So I
- 40:33Speaker 1: love Marina del Rey. It was so much fun. You know,
- 40:36Speaker 1: I'm from San Francisco, but and I lived in Mariton County,
- 40:39Speaker 1: which is, you know, a suburb of the city. And
- 40:43Speaker 1: I had a year that because I'm a real estate developer,
- 40:46Speaker 1: and so I had a year of some projects. So
- 40:48Speaker 1: I rented a condo right on the water in Marina
- 40:52Speaker 1: del Rey, right, it was Araposa. So that's if you know,
- 40:56Speaker 1: if you're coming into Marina del Rey and you go,
- 41:00Speaker 1: you take that left right after the Cheesecake Factory, that
- 41:03Speaker 1: street there via whatever it's called.
- 41:05Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, Yeah, I know exactly where you were. Yeah,
- 41:08Speaker 2: that's where that's where I lived. I lived down that block.
- 41:11Speaker 1: Yeah, so there were a lot of were you in
- 41:13Speaker 1: a condo there? House?
- 41:14Speaker 2: I was, I was an apartment. I was in a
- 41:16Speaker 2: really really nice aparment complex right on the water, right
- 41:19Speaker 2: on the marina. It was beautiful.
- 41:21Speaker 1: Yeah, time was called mine was called Free.
- 41:24Speaker 2: I know exactly where you were. That's hilarious. I know
- 41:26Speaker 2: exactly where you were.
- 41:28Speaker 1: Yeah, down at the end of that Mariposa But yeah,
- 41:31Speaker 1: so I think it was I think that was the
- 41:32Speaker 1: name of Maybe it wasn't. No, maybe it was just
- 41:35Speaker 1: via something or rather, but.
- 41:37Speaker 2: It was via something. It was via something. I know
- 41:38Speaker 2: exactly where you were. Yeah, I know it's free. I
- 41:40Speaker 2: would pass by it all the time.
- 41:41Speaker 1: Yeah, it's free. Is a wonderful complex. So, and they
- 41:45Speaker 1: had they had a gym, so I always worked out
- 41:47Speaker 1: at their gym. I wish I had known you if
- 41:49Speaker 1: we were there at the same time, we could have
- 41:51Speaker 1: I could have I could have changed it. But hey,
- 41:54Speaker 1: you know, people can come to summerland where you are
- 41:57Speaker 1: in suburb of Vegas and they can train with you.
- 42:01Speaker 1: Can you take them to your gym when when they're
- 42:03Speaker 1: there or do you have a gym in your place?
- 42:06Speaker 2: No, I don't. I don't have a gym.
- 42:08Speaker 1: Oh.
- 42:09Speaker 2: I live in a house now, so it's not over
- 42:10Speaker 2: a farmer complex. But yeah, they can go with me
- 42:13Speaker 2: to my gym and just pay whatever day fee or
- 42:16Speaker 2: whatever is there. That's generally how it works, right, and
- 42:19Speaker 2: I'll work with them.
- 42:20Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, because you know a four M is in December,
- 42:24Speaker 1: and a lot of people in the watch our podcast
- 42:27Speaker 1: are a four M members or they are interested in
- 42:30Speaker 1: and going to a four M. So it's do you
- 42:33Speaker 1: ever you know Rob has a booth muscle and fitness? Uh,
- 42:38Speaker 1: do you ever go to that that meeting.
- 42:39Speaker 2: That I've never been, but you know, maybe I'll go
- 42:42Speaker 2: this year.
- 42:42Speaker 1: Maybe let's ask Rob if if you and I could go,
- 42:46Speaker 1: I would come in a couple of days early and
- 42:48Speaker 1: come see you. And my girlfriend listened Summerlin, so I
- 42:52Speaker 1: could probably stay with her a couple of days and
- 42:53Speaker 1: get a chance to have your first hand experience rather
- 42:57Speaker 1: than just this talking, talking kid. So let's move on
- 43:01Speaker 1: to supplements and and and well before supplements diet, so
- 43:06Speaker 1: give us a kind of a nuts I know everything
- 43:09Speaker 1: is customized, but give us kind of an outline profile
- 43:13Speaker 1: of what people should do. And I know when you
- 43:15Speaker 1: and I had our chat a few a couple of
- 43:19Speaker 1: months ago, we talked about this and there were a
- 43:21Speaker 1: number of things that you taught me in that meeting
- 43:25Speaker 1: that phone call about different proteins. So for example, you know,
- 43:31Speaker 1: I told you I take weight protein and I take
- 43:33Speaker 1: grass fed weight protein, and you said way isolate was
- 43:38Speaker 1: one of the best formed. And I had always heard
- 43:40Speaker 1: there was a controversy about way isolate, so I looked
- 43:43Speaker 1: it up on chat GBT just to you know, see
- 43:47Speaker 1: what they had to say in the AI, And yes,
- 43:51Speaker 1: they do say that way isolate is has some controversy
- 43:54Speaker 1: because of who the people behind the product might be
- 43:59Speaker 1: in terms of how they prepare it. So why don't
- 44:02Speaker 1: you give us a little tutorial on wig protein. And
- 44:07Speaker 1: and by the way, everybody that's listening and watching today,
- 44:10Speaker 1: please if you take plant protein, listen to Eric because
- 44:14Speaker 1: he does have a lot to say about the benefits
- 44:17Speaker 1: of using Way over plant protein, particularly if you are,
- 44:23Speaker 1: you know, not a vegan or a vegetarian and you
- 44:25Speaker 1: can use WAY. So I'm gonna let you take over
- 44:29Speaker 1: on the on the protein, but also on the diet.
- 44:33Speaker 2: Well, speaking specifically about why there's different forms of Way.
- 44:36Speaker 2: There's Way concentrate, there's Way hydrolysate, there's Way isolate. Way
- 44:42Speaker 2: just in way protein in of itself is a great
- 44:45Speaker 2: protein for building muscle because it's very very high in
- 44:50Speaker 2: the branch chain amino acids and branch chain amino acids,
- 44:53Speaker 2: especially loosine. That's three different branch ching amino acids, and
- 44:57Speaker 2: one of them, hew loucine, is probably the most powerful
- 45:01Speaker 2: of the amino acids for building muscle, but actually can
- 45:03Speaker 2: also help burn fat as well. There's what you said
- 45:07Speaker 2: before is accurate. There's this goes for the This is
- 45:10Speaker 2: not just WAG protein. This goes for the entire supplement industry,
- 45:13Speaker 2: no matter what you're talking about, creatine, beta, alanine, vitamins, anything.
- 45:19Speaker 2: You have to be very very careful with who manufactures
- 45:22Speaker 2: the product because there are everything from raw materials are important,
- 45:29Speaker 2: how pure the raw materials are, how good the manufacturing
- 45:33Speaker 2: process is, how careful they are to make sure that
- 45:38Speaker 2: there's no contaminants, drugs, heavy metals, anything in the product
- 45:43Speaker 2: that can harm you. Also, there are a lot of
- 45:47Speaker 2: companies out there who you know, the label will say
- 45:50Speaker 2: using protein as an example, twenty grams per scoop. You
- 45:54Speaker 2: take it to a lab, you find out there's eleven
- 45:56Speaker 2: grams per scoop, you know, not twenty grams. So it's
- 45:59Speaker 2: on the labels, not in the bottle. That has come
- 46:02Speaker 2: along a lot. Now, you know, there are certain companies
- 46:05Speaker 2: out there, some of the more major companies who've been
- 46:07Speaker 2: around for a very long time. There's a reason why
- 46:08Speaker 2: they've been around for a long time because generally they
- 46:12Speaker 2: have good manufacturing process you know, practices. You can actually
- 46:16Speaker 2: look up on their websites or on the you know,
- 46:17Speaker 2: to see, you know, do they have you know, what
- 46:21Speaker 2: is their manufacturing. Do they have you know, awards for
- 46:24Speaker 2: their manufacturing, do they meet label claims? Do they have
- 46:28Speaker 2: lab testing? So yes, the controversy is not with whether
- 46:34Speaker 2: way isolate is good. It's whether the manual you know,
- 46:37Speaker 2: whether isn't really way isolate that's in there, because unfortunately,
- 46:42Speaker 2: there's a lot of shysters out there, which you know,
- 46:44Speaker 2: it stinks. You know, they'll say again it's ninety percent
- 46:49Speaker 2: way isolate. You find out it's ten percent way isolate
- 46:51Speaker 2: and the rest of its way concentrate, which is not
- 46:53Speaker 2: as pure as way isolated. So that's what you have
- 46:57Speaker 2: to be careful with. As far as Way isolate as
- 46:59Speaker 2: a protein, that's just the purest form of way basically
- 47:04Speaker 2: where they take out most of the sugar, especially lactose intolerant,
- 47:11Speaker 2: so it reduces lactose down to very small levels, which
- 47:14Speaker 2: shoudn't affect anybody who's lactose intolerant. It's going to have
- 47:17Speaker 2: the highest level of protein per scoop. And like I said,
- 47:20Speaker 2: Way protein, especially around workouts, it's very very because it's
- 47:25Speaker 2: it's absorbed very very quickly. So when you're done with
- 47:29Speaker 2: the workout, your body is you know, you've you've exhausted it,
- 47:34Speaker 2: You've you know you've you've broken the muscle down. Your
- 47:36Speaker 2: body wants nutrition very very quickly. It wants it wants carbohydrates,
- 47:40Speaker 2: and it wants protein very very quickly. So you want
- 47:42Speaker 2: to try to take in things that aren't going to
- 47:45Speaker 2: require a lot of digestion, that are going to get
- 47:47Speaker 2: into the bloodstream quickly, that are going to get into
- 47:49Speaker 2: the cells quickly and start to cause recovery and repair.
- 47:52Speaker 2: So Way isolate protein is excellent for this because it
- 47:56Speaker 2: is very rapidly absorbed, gets into the cells very very quickly.
- 48:00Speaker 2: It's got that high branch chain amino acid content, which
- 48:03Speaker 2: is very important to have to workout. So that's why
- 48:05Speaker 2: I highly recommend WEAG protein, especially after workouts. I don't
- 48:10Speaker 2: recommend Way protein before bed because it's not long lasting.
- 48:16Speaker 2: So it's fast acting but not long lasting. So there
- 48:18Speaker 2: is where I would recommend a good caseine protein and
- 48:22Speaker 2: a casine protein, especially mysolar caseine, which is last form
- 48:27Speaker 2: that will actually go into the it'll sort of go
- 48:30Speaker 2: into the adjustive track and sort of like form like
- 48:33Speaker 2: a bolus like it'll be like kind of like a gel,
- 48:36Speaker 2: and it slowly trickle feeds into the system so that
- 48:39Speaker 2: while you're asleep at night, you're kind of getting fed
- 48:42Speaker 2: a little bits of protein amino acids as you're sleeping
- 48:45Speaker 2: and it'll go for a good four to six hours.
- 48:47Speaker 2: So this will help to keep you recovering, repairing overnight
- 48:51Speaker 2: to when you have a fast to wake up the
- 48:53Speaker 2: next day. So after workouts, weigh protein. If you're going
- 48:56Speaker 2: to use a protein powder before bed, which is what
- 48:59Speaker 2: I tend to do, a lot of people do it
- 49:00Speaker 2: because it's you want to do something quick. You know,
- 49:03Speaker 2: a casing protein is the best.
- 49:05Speaker 1: So what about the people who don't eat anything for
- 49:07Speaker 1: the three hours before bedtime because that's what they've learned,
- 49:10Speaker 1: that's what they've been taught that you know, you should
- 49:13Speaker 1: go to bed with a stomach that's relatively digested, your
- 49:17Speaker 1: your last meal.
- 49:18Speaker 2: Well, listen, if something if you're doing something like that
- 49:21Speaker 2: and it's working for you and you're getting great results,
- 49:23Speaker 2: I'm not going to argue with you. I mean, I'm
- 49:24Speaker 2: never going to argue with somebody that says, hey, like
- 49:27Speaker 2: you know, for example, intermittent fasting. I don't believe in
- 49:30Speaker 2: intermittent fasting. I believe in eating, you know, just the
- 49:33Speaker 2: way you're supposed to eat, you know, small meals throughout
- 49:36Speaker 2: the day. I don't believe it. But if somebody says
- 49:39Speaker 2: to me, hey, Eric, look what I you know, accomplished
- 49:41Speaker 2: with intermittent fasting, I'm not going to say them all
- 49:43Speaker 2: year wrong. You know, if you're doing if you're happy
- 49:45Speaker 2: with what you're doing and it's working for you, God
- 49:47Speaker 2: bless keep keep doing it.
- 49:49Speaker 1: But when you and I spoke, you did mention atrophogy,
- 49:52Speaker 1: and I'm sure and that that is important to part
- 49:56Speaker 1: of the program. So can you address that for a moment?
- 49:59Speaker 1: What what I think?
- 50:01Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean I think that I think, you know,
- 50:03Speaker 2: there's a couple I think actually, you know you need
- 50:04Speaker 2: to you know, wake up in the morning and eat.
- 50:07Speaker 2: I mean, your body is in a facet state to
- 50:10Speaker 2: want some nutrients and and again there's a little bit
- 50:12Speaker 2: of a difference. Just just to go back, I don't
- 50:14Speaker 2: want to lose that point that you made about the
- 50:15Speaker 2: three hours before bed. If your main goal is losing
- 50:19Speaker 2: body fat, that's not such a bad thing. If your
- 50:23Speaker 2: main goal is more to build muscle, I would recommend
- 50:25Speaker 2: having something before you go to sleep, Okay, especially without carbs.
- 50:29Speaker 2: You don't need carbs, but I would definitely recommend a
- 50:32Speaker 2: protein like a caseine protein before bad because I think
- 50:36Speaker 2: if you want to build muscle, you got to keep
- 50:38Speaker 2: the muscle fat, so you should have something while you're sleeping.
- 50:41Speaker 2: I think if you have three hours before you didn't
- 50:44Speaker 2: eat before going to bed, and then maybe you sleep
- 50:45Speaker 2: for another seven to eight that's too long of a
- 50:48Speaker 2: period go without any nutrients, especially a protein if you're
- 50:52Speaker 2: looking to build muscles. So let me just make that
- 50:54Speaker 2: you know, you know, you know, make that point.
- 50:58Speaker 1: How do you feel about the stem Greek eyes and
- 51:00Speaker 1: how they're affecting people's challenges for you know, trying to
- 51:05Speaker 1: keep their muscle but also trying to lose weight.
- 51:09Speaker 2: I mean, I think that there's there's some value to
- 51:11Speaker 2: all of those things, you know, these different peptides and
- 51:14Speaker 2: fat loss agents and things like that. I just worry
- 51:19Speaker 2: that a lot of people use these things as shortcuts, yeah,
- 51:23Speaker 2: instead of you know, I had sent you a picture
- 51:28Speaker 2: in the email where you know, I'm not saying you
- 51:32Speaker 2: should flash up on the screen, but I mean I
- 51:33Speaker 2: sent you a picture of a guy who in the
- 51:36Speaker 2: email that showed a four twenty four week transformation that
- 51:41Speaker 2: I made with him, and I had a side by
- 51:44Speaker 2: side picture what he looked like before and what you
- 51:45Speaker 2: look like after. His name is Dave Swanson, who is
- 51:48Speaker 2: now a Spellbound athlete, I should.
- 51:49Speaker 1: Say, And he.
- 51:53Speaker 2: Was two hundred and ten pounds and then when we
- 51:55Speaker 2: finished twenty four weeks late, it was two hundred ten
- 51:57Speaker 2: pounds and twenty plus percent body fat. Four weeks later
- 52:00Speaker 2: he came to Vegas to work with me a little bit.
- 52:02Speaker 2: He was one hundred and sixty five pounds and about
- 52:05Speaker 2: five point five percent body felt twenty five. He did
- 52:09Speaker 2: not use He did not use any steroids, He did
- 52:11Speaker 2: not use any growth hormones. He did not use any
- 52:13Speaker 2: fat loss agents other than my vanishing formula. In fact,
- 52:17Speaker 2: the only supplements he used was my three products from
- 52:20Speaker 2: Spellbound Nutrition. That's it. He didn't even use He didn't
- 52:24Speaker 2: even use like vitamins. He didn't use anything else, which
- 52:26Speaker 2: I didn't even realize. He just said, no, Eric, I
- 52:28Speaker 2: just used your stuff. There was no drugs, there was
- 52:30Speaker 2: no shortcuts, it was nothing. There was just hard work
- 52:34Speaker 2: dedicated to my program. And he looked he was, as
- 52:39Speaker 2: we say in the industry, shredded. He was shredded. He
- 52:42Speaker 2: take off his shirt and everybody in the gym because
- 52:45Speaker 2: he has that kind of you know, movie after physique,
- 52:49Speaker 2: like that cover model physique, not huge, massive, just beau
- 52:53Speaker 2: for muscle shit. He was forty six years old. The
- 52:56Speaker 2: first time I worked with him was fifteen years ago.
- 52:58Speaker 2: We did a transformation back then. He came back to
- 53:01Speaker 2: now at age forty six. We did this in twenty
- 53:03Speaker 2: four weeks. He's never been that low body fat. My
- 53:06Speaker 2: point is, yes, some of these drugs can be used
- 53:12Speaker 2: as aids, but they do not replace hard work. They
- 53:16Speaker 2: do not replace a good diet. They do not You're
- 53:19Speaker 2: not You cannot just take a drug, I don't care
- 53:22Speaker 2: how powerful it is, or a steroid and build muscle,
- 53:26Speaker 2: a burn fat. Without complete dedication to diet and training,
- 53:29Speaker 2: you could do amazing things. When I was a pro bodybuilder,
- 53:33Speaker 2: I turned a pro bodybuilder drug free again. I'm not
- 53:36Speaker 2: making any I will work with plenty of people who
- 53:39Speaker 2: use enhancements nothing, that's a wholly different thing. But I
- 53:43Speaker 2: turned pro. I did it as drugs, and nobody thought
- 53:46Speaker 2: that I did that drug free. Nobody believed me until
- 53:48Speaker 2: I started taking drug tests and putting them out there
- 53:51Speaker 2: and going, look, I'll pass every single one. You can
- 53:53Speaker 2: drug test me any time you want, and if I fail,
- 53:56Speaker 2: I'll pay for it. So I mean, you could do
- 53:59Speaker 2: amazing things. People forget that there's nothing more powerful than
- 54:03Speaker 2: food and training and rest. And there are some really
- 54:08Speaker 2: supplement out there. There's a lot of crap out there,
- 54:09Speaker 2: but there's some really good supplements out that really really work.
- 54:12Speaker 2: You can do amazing things. You do not need to
- 54:15Speaker 2: use any of these drugs, like I said, an aid,
- 54:18Speaker 2: but don't use them as a crutch.
- 54:20Speaker 1: So let's talk about Spellbound because that I didn't give
- 54:24Speaker 1: you a plug earlier. But I want everybody to know
- 54:27Speaker 1: that that is your company or you are. You are
- 54:30Speaker 1: a part of that company. You have a partner, a.
- 54:31Speaker 2: Partner partner, Yeah, you have a partner in.
- 54:33Speaker 1: The company in Michigan. I think you told me.
- 54:36Speaker 2: It's in Billain's, Montana and he's actually the manufact He
- 54:39Speaker 2: actually owns the manufacturing facility that manufactures the products.
- 54:43Speaker 1: And you said he's one of the best in the
- 54:45Speaker 1: world to trying.
- 54:46Speaker 2: To manufacturing facility. Going back to what I said before
- 54:49Speaker 2: about making sure your products have the best raw materials,
- 54:52Speaker 2: the best testing. His manufacturing facility makes one hundred percent
- 54:56Speaker 2: sure that he only accepts. He tests everyone material that
- 55:00Speaker 2: comes in. If there's anything in it that he doesn't like,
- 55:03Speaker 2: it's out and test the products from point A to
- 55:07Speaker 2: point Z multiple times to make sure there is no contaminants,
- 55:11Speaker 2: heavy metals, drugs, anything in the product that should not
- 55:15Speaker 2: be in there. And he makes sure that everything will
- 55:18Speaker 2: either meet or exceed label claims so that you are
- 55:21Speaker 2: sure that you're getting a product that is the purest,
- 55:24Speaker 2: highest quality available. And that is why I went to him.
- 55:27Speaker 2: His name is doctor Jeff Galini. He owns All American Pharmaceuticals.
- 55:30Speaker 2: He works with a lot of companies. Him and I
- 55:32Speaker 2: have known each other for many many years, and we
- 55:34Speaker 2: started this line together because I wanted to make sure
- 55:37Speaker 2: that this was going to be the highest quality available.
- 55:40Speaker 1: So tell us about the three products that your your
- 55:43Speaker 1: Superstar took that allowed him to get from twenty percent
- 55:48Speaker 1: to five percent in twenty four weeks.
- 55:51Speaker 2: Yeah. So the first product, which like our flagship product,
- 55:54Speaker 2: is called Power Potion, and that is what I call
- 55:57Speaker 2: A lot of people call him pre workout, so I
- 55:59Speaker 2: like to call it a word out amplifier.
- 56:01Speaker 1: Okay, hold on, I'm writing this down because I know
- 56:04Speaker 1: I need to do this. When we get off, I
- 56:06Speaker 1: want to order from you, So go ahead, power power Potion.
- 56:10Speaker 2: Well, I can always email you too, I can always
- 56:12Speaker 2: email you to Okay, all right, yes, I'll email you.
- 56:15Speaker 2: I'll email you. When you see the website, you can
- 56:17Speaker 2: go and I'll give you my code. So Power Potion
- 56:20Speaker 2: is the is the is the workout amplification formula that
- 56:23Speaker 2: you know that product is put together. Here's the problem
- 56:27Speaker 2: with a lot of pre workout formulas. A lot of
- 56:30Speaker 2: pre workout formulas. Generally people they call them pump formulas.
- 56:34Speaker 2: So you want to go into the gym and you
- 56:35Speaker 2: want as much blood flow to the muscle as possible,
- 56:38Speaker 2: and they will put ingredients in there that will help
- 56:40Speaker 2: facilitate that. However, what they'll also put in there is
- 56:43Speaker 2: a bunch of stimulants because they want people to like
- 56:45Speaker 2: get amped up and crazy. They want to feel it. Yeah,
- 56:49Speaker 2: The problem is is that stimulants and pump products pump
- 56:52Speaker 2: ingredients work against each other. So a stimulant is a
- 56:57Speaker 2: vassal constrictor it closes the blood vessels. The pump products
- 57:03Speaker 2: will open the veins up, so they are vasive dilators.
- 57:06Speaker 2: So you're taking two things. They are going to work
- 57:07Speaker 2: against each other, so you're gonna basically not get nearly
- 57:10Speaker 2: good as not nearly as good of a pump as
- 57:12Speaker 2: you should now during workouts. I think that I don't personally.
- 57:17Speaker 2: If you like to be amped up and sweating and
- 57:19Speaker 2: feeling crazy and that's your thing, then go ahead and
- 57:22Speaker 2: take a product. My product does not have any stimulants
- 57:25Speaker 2: in it. I just put in the ingredients that a
- 57:29Speaker 2: will support strength, will support muscular endurance, that will actually
- 57:34Speaker 2: support a branch chain AMINU. It's acids in there, so
- 57:37Speaker 2: it'll support the muscles so as they're getting broken down,
- 57:40Speaker 2: they're still being refed to not getting broken down as much.
- 57:44Speaker 2: And then of course we have the ingredients in there
- 57:46Speaker 2: that are going to help facilit We have multiple ingredients
- 57:48Speaker 2: that are going to help to facilitate that pump because
- 57:50Speaker 2: we want as much blood and nutrients in the muscle
- 57:54Speaker 2: as possible while we train it. A lot of people
- 57:57Speaker 2: think that the pump is just an nice transient thing
- 58:01Speaker 2: and it's just like fun to have a pump because
- 58:02Speaker 2: you feel big and you feel good. But actually the
- 58:05Speaker 2: pump is very very important because the more blood and
- 58:08Speaker 2: nutrients that you bring it to the muscle while you're
- 58:10Speaker 2: training it, it's actually expanding the cells. And when you
- 58:14Speaker 2: expand the cells and the cells get expanded out, that's
- 58:18Speaker 2: a signal to the body that like they're going to
- 58:21Speaker 2: tear or something's going to happen, and it signals the
- 58:23Speaker 2: body to facilitate muscle growth. So it's actually very very
- 58:27Speaker 2: important to have that major muscle pump during every single workout.
- 58:30Speaker 2: So this product is basically going to help you and
- 58:33Speaker 2: it gives you tremendous focus. There's also ingredients in there
- 58:36Speaker 2: that will give you focus, not a stimulant, but focus.
- 58:40Speaker 2: That's acuity focus drive. Most people who take this product
- 58:44Speaker 2: tell me that when they start to feel it kick in,
- 58:48Speaker 2: that they just feel like almost like they're able to
- 58:50Speaker 2: shut everything out and just focus so strongly on every
- 58:53Speaker 2: rep and every set, which is what I want it.
- 58:55Speaker 2: I don't want that crazy feeling, feeling like you have
- 58:58Speaker 2: the flu. You're sweating, you feel like you're bouncing off
- 59:01Speaker 2: the walls. Also a problem with one of those products
- 59:03Speaker 2: is that in the middle of the work that you
- 59:04Speaker 2: get a crash. You don't get any crash with power Potion.
- 59:07Speaker 2: So I think it's a very very well put together
- 59:10Speaker 2: formula that doctor Jeff Glee and I put together. Everybody
- 59:13Speaker 2: absolutely loves it. The flavors right now, there's two flavors.
- 59:15Speaker 2: There's pink lemonade and there's an orange flavor. Blood Orange
- 59:22Speaker 2: flavors are fantastic. They taste delicious so that they're eats
- 59:25Speaker 2: to drink. You want to drink them, uh, and they
- 59:28Speaker 2: mix fantastic. So that's the first product.
- 59:30Speaker 1: So just just before you move on, what's the what
- 59:33Speaker 1: are those you know, wonderful ingredients if you just give
- 59:37Speaker 1: us a few, just to tease us a little.
- 59:39Speaker 2: So we have the brand shann amino acids. We have
- 59:41Speaker 2: beta alanine, Yeah, citrilline in there, which is great for
- 59:45Speaker 2: pump We have krealkaline, which is a form of creatine
- 59:49Speaker 2: that costs less bloating in the stomach. We have pomegranate,
- 59:55Speaker 2: We have beetroot. We have, you know, all these different
- 59:58Speaker 2: ingredients that help to like I said, vaso vaso dilators.
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: It's just it's just such a great ball around a formula, uh,
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: and you feel good on it, and like I said,
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: it just gives you a great workout from beginning to end.
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: And if anybody wants to, you know, email me or
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: whatever body effects to at aol dot com, you can
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: get that too. I can answer questions more specifically and
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: go to the website.
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: Okay, what was that again for emailing you?
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: My email is body b O d Y, the letter
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: the letter X, the numeral two at.
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: Al at aol dot com. So bodys and Frank excess
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: and x ray two at aol dot com.
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: Okay there, contact me there for anything for online training
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: or you know, whatever it is that you want to.
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: Ask exactly I think, I mean, obviously I have that,
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: but I want to our viewers to have it. Okay,
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: So that's the power potion. What's the next one.
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: The next one is I'm going to go to the
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: recovery formula, which is the post workout formula, which is
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: sort of like something I have worked with a lot
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: of supplement companies in my career, all great supplement companies,
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: all had great products, all products that I believed in.
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: One product that I wanted to see which I never
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: really saw, was a really really good recovery formula, something
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: that I believed would as you want to take as
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: soon as the workout is over, before you even get
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: to your food, that will help to facilitate not only
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: recovery from the workout, but also you mentioned it before,
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: stimulate the M tour pathway to muscle growth, which is
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: our most powerful pathway. Right when you stimulate you will
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: stimulate M tour through training, but if you if you
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: want to push that even further, you can take certain
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: ingredients a formula that will stimulate the M tour pathway,
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: which is going to basically increase protein synthesis and decrease
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: protein breakdown. When you when the balance between protein synthesis
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: and protein breakdown is way higher on the synthesis level
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: than breakdown, you are building muscle and that's what we
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: want to facilitate. And like I said, the workout will
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: help to stimulate this, but then these ingredients will help
- 1:02:11Speaker 2: to push that further. So the three main ingredients that
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: we have in what is called the legendary recovery of
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: Maryland's legendary recovery is something called mediator, which is phosphatetic acid,
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: which has been shown in studies to stimulate the M
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: tour pathway. We have an help scene which has been
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: shown in a zillion studies to be the most powerful
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: branch chain of me ino acid and again stimulates the
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: M tower pathway, excuse me. And then we have something
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: HBM which also again stimulates the MP tore pathway. But
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: the good thing about these three ingredients is they all
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: stimulate it from slightly different pathways themselves. So in other words,
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: you're getting like a triple You're almost getting an exponential
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: increase in the M tour pathway facilitation through these three ingredients.
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: So that's why I wanted to include all three, because
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: I want this to give you that maximum facilitation, and
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: I keep using that word over and over. I also
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: include creac lin in here because when you are done
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: with your workout, you have basically exhausted your creatine levels.
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: And creatine of course will become you know, through a
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: process in the body, will become ATP and ATP helps
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: a fuel and muscle. So we want to replace the creatine.
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: I also have L carnatine LTAR trade which is not
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: only a good fat burner, but it's also does something
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: very interesting. It helps to upregulate anabolic receptors and muscle
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: cells which tends to downgrade during training. So this will
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: help up your When you upregulate the anabolic receptors, it's
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: just speaking means that your body is going to be
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: they're going to be more sensitive to, you know, bringing
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: on muscle growth, and so we want to have them
- 1:03:52Speaker 2: always at peak levels. There's also fenine which is going
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: to help you to just relax to bring quartersol levels down.
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: So what we want to do and what we want
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: to do after a workout is we want to give
- 1:04:07Speaker 2: your body the ability to recover. So we want the
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: courtersole levels to come down, which are going to be
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: elevated from training. We want to stimulate the mpt our pathway.
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: We want to up regulate the anabolic receptors. We want
- 1:04:19Speaker 2: to replace the creatine, and again creatine also does other
- 1:04:22Speaker 2: things that lowers myostatin. Myostatin is in the body and
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: it will actually limit the amount of muscle growth. It
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: puts a whole on muscle growth. So if we can
- 1:04:32Speaker 2: lower myostatin. It gives your body to build more muscle.
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: It also includes IGF one levels. IGF one is insolent
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: growth factor one, which is one of the most anabolic
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: hormones in the body. Help stimulate that so you can
- 1:04:47Speaker 2: have So it's a really, really complete formula for post
- 1:04:51Speaker 2: workout recovery and making the workout that you just did
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: more effective. So fantatic, That's what I've always wanted on
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: the market. I love this stuff. Everybody who's taken it
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: tells me the same thing they said. After about a
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: week of taking it, they start to get reduced muscle soreness.
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: They start to get quicker recovery from workout, from Morgan
- 1:05:11Speaker 2: workout to the next so that they feel better the
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: next day. They feel more recovered. They see their muscles
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: getting fuller, more developed, very very quickly. And then they
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: tell me if they go off of it, these kind
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: of see the reverse. So it really is an effective formula. Again.
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: Another two amazing flavors. One of them is a great
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: flavor grape splash. The other one is a tropical punch.
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: They are so good that sometimes people tell me that
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: they just even though they're not supposed to take it
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: at any other time. Then after workout. They'll sometimes just
- 1:05:40Speaker 2: mix a glass during the day and put ice in
- 1:05:42Speaker 2: and drink it because they love to taste so much.
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: So another great formula, especially that pump the pre workout
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: and the post workout. Those two formulas together, what a
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: great way to do to surround your workouts.
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: And then they just blagged me that we've run out
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: of time, but you said to us. A third one
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: is that then the.
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: Fat burner vanishing formula helps to really really quickly. Has
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: an ingredient there called liziin five which is patented by
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: All American Pharmaceutical and Jeff Galini. That is the main
- 1:06:11Speaker 2: ingredient and it will pull the fat out of the cells,
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: pushing into the bloodstream so that you can use it
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: as energy. And then of course there's a bunch of
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: supporting ingredients in there that helps you to you to
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: push those fat and make them used for energy. But
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: that is an amazing formula. There's not high stimulants in it.
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: Just take three capitals in the morning and you are
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: good to go. Great focus, great energy. People use it
