- 3:21league. We're giving great advice.
- 3:23Yes, well said. OK, let's begin with yes, Week 4
- 3:28choices. Yeah, so we'll go over our
- 3:30choice from last week, as usual to keep track of how well we're
- 3:33doing and keep patting ourselves on the back.
- 3:35So last week, first, we had Dimitri, Veronika V of the
- 3:39Columbus Blue Jackets. He put up two goals, one assist,
- 3:41three points over the past week. Easy W, easy season, long hold.
- 3:45Easy Josh beating himself up for letting Kevin grab him off
- 3:48waivers first. Even started yet and I already
- 3:51spent my fab and you guys were like oh you already spent $4.00
- 3:53of Veronica, what are you doing? Boom.
- 3:55No, it was a great pick up. I had him last year and I I
- 3:58should have grabbed him. I knew he was good anyway.
- 4:00You had him when he was Voronkov.
- 4:02You never. Had exactly was actually so
- 4:05true. I didn't have his fully evolved
- 4:06form nicely add Will Smith The Fresh Prince.
- 4:13He put up two goals, 0 sis, 2 points another W again.
- 4:16This is another season long hold that I mean the sharks really
- 4:20popped off like Eckland celebrity Smith.
- 4:24I don't know if you guys realized, but their numbers are
- 4:26717273. No, sorry 73 to Foley, but that
- 4:29they have like. It's fun when they play together
- 4:31anyways. Well, Smith is a good figure.
- 4:34And then Emil Heineman, only one assist, but ten shots and 19
- 4:38hits. I'm counting that as a win.
- 4:40This is another in a bangers league.
- 4:42It's nuts what he's doing honestly in terms of shots and
- 4:44hits and only. Wanted him.
- 4:47Yeah, exactly. Line 1 and he's getting, you
- 4:51know, he got a sniff at power play one while Barzel got
- 4:53scratched from missing a team meeting.
- 4:55So yeah, I like kind of in a lot 3 dubs makes us 6 and no on the
- 5:00season. I like the way this is going.
- 5:02I would definitely listen to us for advice.
- 5:04Only good recommendations. Heineman is like what is this?
- 5:08This is insane. Stats.
- 5:09I didn't expect this amount, these amount of hits like he's
- 5:11just, he's trained his game A. Little you know, it's crazy.
- 5:13I'm pretty sure he got drafted in our league.
- 5:16Yeah. And then I think.
- 5:17Like not picked up words like straight up.
- 5:19Drafting We played the league with a lot of Habs fans so
- 5:22people know of the Hind. They know about Hein.
- 5:28Alright, let's get into it. Two game teams this week.
- 5:31We've got Columbus and New Jersey.
- 5:33Don't drop Brankov, just ride it out. four-game teams.
- 5:37Not gonna list all them because there's a lot busy nights
- 5:39Tuesday and Saturday. Thursday is not up to 20 teams
- 5:42playing so I'm not considering it.
- 5:44Usual schedule tonight. Brutal lately.
- 5:46Yeah, but this one's not as bad. Only two, only two busy nights
- 5:49this week instead of the three and then two off night teams is
- 5:51just too many to count. All the four, all the four-game
- 5:54teams have two off nights because there's only two busy
- 5:56nights and then a couple others. But we'll mention it when we get
- 5:59to the players. So let's jump into the top ten
- 6:02points, guys under 40% owned that we can pick up.
- 6:05I'm actually really excited about this top 10 and I always
- 6:08am, but I feel like there's some real interesting and good guys
- 6:10available in most leagues. Don't worry, none of them are
- 6:13available in our league. I checked.
- 6:15And we'll, we'll, we'll also give insight into if these guys
- 6:19are rest of season holds or if they're just like.
- 6:21Streamers, some of them are there's definitely both kinds in
- 6:24here. All right, Kevin, throat go
- 6:27welcome back. Start us off with. #10.
- 6:31Nice #10 We've got Anthony Cirelli of the Tampa Bay
- 6:35Lightning Line 2, power play 2. I'm not that excited about that
- 6:40deployment, but he's putting up the numbers.
- 6:41He gets to play with Hagel, who is pop starting to pop off as we
- 6:44expected. And you know what?
- 6:47I've always said that I'm such a deployment.
- 6:50I'm not gonna say the word because I don't wanna give work
- 6:53to anyone editing this to bleep it.
- 6:54But I love the power play, right?
- 6:56So I see a guy not on power play one or line one, I'm like, I
- 6:58don't want to pick him up. But the numbers speak for
- 7:01themselves. He did this last year as well.
- 7:02And it's kind of like Hagel who's not getting power play but
- 7:04still gonna put up great numbers.
- 7:05So I like Cirelli is a pickup. He goes on a couple hot streaks
- 7:08too and like the power play tube for Tampa hasn't been the worst.
- 7:11I would say it's like probably one of the better power play
- 7:13twos in the league. So he'll still get you some
- 7:15power play exposure. He's also playing like 20
- 7:17minutes and 90s on the PK's on the second unit of the power
- 7:20play. He's on the line to like they
- 7:22want him in crucial situations. He's so good at winning those
- 7:24face off. So he's starting a lot of
- 7:25defensive zone. He's just going to be on the ice
- 7:28a lot and that helps with the category coverage.
- 7:29He's not known for that, but he can get some blocks, you can get
- 7:31some shots and the points exposure is really nice right
- 7:34now. If you need a pure, see this
- 7:35upcoming week like he's a good option.
- 7:37But this one I wouldn't. I wouldn't hate to drop him if
- 7:40he goes on a cold streak. Absolutely not.
- 7:42Yeah, far from the season long hold, but with the deployment,
- 7:45yeah, it's it's a good one this week.
- 7:47Yeah. OK.
- 7:48Next we've got #9 and #9 we've got Marco Rossi, the Minnesota
- 7:55Wild. They've got a four-game week
- 7:56with two off nights line one, power play 2.
- 7:59There's another one of those where it's like he's not on
- 8:01power play 1, so I'm not that excited.
- 8:02But his even strength points great and he's been putting up
- 8:05really good numbers and they have a really good schedule this
- 8:08week. So for all those reasons, I like
- 8:10him as they pick up at least for this week.
- 8:11But this is another one that I don't necessarily consider a
- 8:13season long hold. He's only 27% rostered in Yahoo
- 8:16right now and as we speak like 3 power play points in the last
- 8:20four games, even on P2. It just goes to show that, you
- 8:23know, he can still make stuff happen.
- 8:24He's getting exposed to the best players on that on that team
- 8:26with Kaprizov and Boldi and playing line one.
- 8:29Like Ross is just one of those guys that it's not flashy.
- 8:32You kind of like he always teeters on being like a drop or
- 8:34a hold for extended periods of time.
- 8:36But when he's playing with guys like that, like he's worth a
- 8:39look, especially on four-game week.
- 8:41Yeah, this is also like not an ordinary 4 game week.
- 8:46They're playing very easy opponents.
- 8:48It's Carolina is a tough one, but other than that, you know,
- 8:52they have a very attainable schedule even over the next two
- 8:55weeks honestly. So I wouldn't even be in much of
- 8:57A rush to drop him. But for this one specifically,
- 9:01day Thursday, Friday, Sunday. So Saturday is a busy day.
- 9:03It's an amazing schedule playing the Predators, Hurricanes,
- 9:08Islanders and the Flames. Yeah, these games.
- 9:11Could three of those. Four are huge, yeah, huge.
- 9:14And even the Carolina one, like they're gonna need to score if
- 9:16they wanna win. So I think realistically this
- 9:19could be a massive week for him and I really, really like.
- 9:21It. That's the kind of analysis
- 9:23people come here for is they gotta score if they want to win.
- 9:27Yeah, yeah. I just mean obviously, like
- 9:29they're the toughest team they're playing.
- 9:31Yeah, and Minnesota is, look at the start, stacking some wins.
- 9:34So when you're playing, you have a week like this where you have
- 9:37a couple teams that you gotta beat if you wanna make the
- 9:39playoffs. Really interesting to see.
- 9:42Zuccarello should be back this week, so we'll see how that
- 9:45shakes things up. Obviously helps Ross, he's not
- 9:47on Power Play 1, so it's not gonna hurt him in terms of that
- 9:50already, but it might help him with his wingers.
- 9:54So we'll see what happens with that for sure.
- 9:55Alright, let's go to. #8. At #8 We've got a guy who Kevin
- 10:00outbid me on a few weeks ago, Kyle Palmieri of the New York
- 10:03Islanders Line 2 power play one only three-game week, but I like
- 10:07him a lot. The first thing I think that
- 10:09jumps out at me with him and the reason that both me and Kevin so
- 10:12much money on him is the time on ice.
- 10:14He's been doing around 20 minutes a night, which is just
- 10:16unreal for a forward who is not a big name.
- 10:20So I like the time on ice a lot. He's doing stuff with it.
- 10:22He's producing some numbers. I like his linemates playing
- 10:25with Brazil. So I think Palmer is a really
- 10:27solid pickup and this is one. This is again, it's not
- 10:29necessarily a season long hold, this one that I could see
- 10:31sticking around a lot longer than you would expect.
- 10:33He's the type of guy that, you know, you need a right winger.
- 10:35He's only 16% owned, so it's not that much.
- 10:38But if you're in a deeply, we play in the league where we're
- 10:40starting 20 guys on every night, like he's going to be a good us.
- 10:43Probably on my roster for the rest of the season.
- 10:45He's averaging .75 points per game, .27 power play points,
- 10:49three shots on goal. Like you can't ask for much more
- 10:52than that with the hit also thrown into that.
- 10:54So it's hitting those banger categories as well.
- 10:56I really like Paul Mary and I don't read too much into the
- 10:59line 2 deployment either. Last last game with Barzal being
- 11:02scratched for missing, he showed up late.
- 11:05So he got scratched for the game, which is not only
- 11:07punishing him but pushing the team to be honest.
- 11:09Like you gotta stack these wins. But they talked about how like,
- 11:12they want to be really good about punctuality and whatever.
- 11:14So listen, I get it. But he's still playing with top
- 11:17guys on that team. Like he's going to be a top six
- 11:20player in this roster for the foreseeable future unless
- 11:23something crazy happens. His ice time is really good if
- 11:26you need a right winger, shots some hits points.
- 11:30Like he's one of the better options.
- 11:32Yeah, and, you know, they're doing exactly the opposite of
- 11:35what I expected them to do. They have such a good goalie and
- 11:37Sorokin and, you know, coming into the season, I figured that
- 11:41if anything, they're gonna be low scoring and also low goals
- 11:44against and still be bad. So I was right.
- 11:46They're bad. They're lost in the
- 11:47Metropolitan, but they're fourth in scoring and last in goals
- 11:51against. So with the addition of
- 11:53Schaefer, who was a cell high on my list last week, I still think
- 11:59that he's as Ohai, but there are a lot more fun than they were
- 12:02last year. And Palmieri a good part of
- 12:04their offence. So it's a really.
- 12:06Normally I stay away from Islanders, but this year they
- 12:09seem to have some more offensive firepower.
- 12:11Definitely Shafer coming in is a big part of that.
- 12:13Absolutely and and I like what they're doing.
- 12:15I have fat on my team and he's been pleasant.
- 12:17Surprises though is under understatement.
- 12:20Right, so. I'd rather hunt for butter.
- 12:22Logan Cooley. I think I'd rather have that
- 12:25well has better offence, but I I like harvest back out but.
- 12:29I'm not taking offence, but anyways all that.
- 12:31To say, yeah, fair, like if you take out that stuff like that
- 12:34then I would rather coolly, but I think both of them were steals
- 12:37where they got drafted. The biggest thing for Islanders
- 12:39players this year is the power play.
- 12:40Like last year they had one of the worst power players.
- 12:42They were never getting any goals.
- 12:43And this year, like they're serviceable.
- 12:44So that already just like raises the floor for all these players.
- 12:50As long as Barzel can tell time, we're.
- 12:51Good, yeah. Yeah, exactly.
- 12:54OK. Moving on to. #7.
- 12:58At #7 We have Jordan Eberly of the Seattle Crackin 4 game week
- 13:02with two off nights. Line one power play 1 this is
- 13:06one that I think I actually stole from Kevin off waivers.
- 13:08So you know, a lot of back and forth, a lot of recommending
- 13:10guys we've already picked up, right?
- 13:11Cause I mean, if that's not a way to show that, you know, we
- 13:14believe in what we're saying as well.
- 13:15We put our money where our mouth is, but this is one that's so
- 13:17surprising to me because he's so old and.
- 13:21He hasn't been. He hasn't been.
- 13:23Relevant fantasy, relevant in years, if ever and and yeah no,
- 13:28but he's really, really doing well to start the year .8 points
- 13:30per game .2 power play points he's 2.4 shots 1.2 hits and he's
- 13:36putting up he's the time on ice in its last three of his last
- 13:39four games he's played over 21 minutes that's crazy that's a
- 13:43crazy amount of ice time for a forward to be getting on line
- 13:46one power play one he's only 8% owned it's jumped up 4% over the
- 13:49past week, but I think he's got. To be recommended him two weeks
- 13:53ago when he was like 1% owned and we had people like pick him
- 13:57up and he ended up having a sick and they were all like thank you
- 14:00so much. Bang your manager recommending
- 14:01Jordan Everly and I was like, yeah, you expect from anger
- 14:04management. We recommend.
- 14:05The best please no. I love it cuz it feels so random
- 14:08but it feels like a diamond in the rough.
- 14:09This is like similar to Palmaria where I don't.
- 14:12It's not the same player. Exactly, it's like he doesn't
- 14:14have to be a season long hold, but I think he could stick
- 14:16around your line up a lot longer than you'd expect.
- 14:18Yep. Yeah, great pick for this week.
- 14:22Yeah, and there's like we have him, him and Paul Mary.
- 14:25Honestly, I feel like they're you could look at the stats and
- 14:28averages and they're literally the exact same.
- 14:30It feels like interchangeable, but it really has four games
- 14:32this week, so you gotta. Prefer the off nights?
- 14:35Two off nights, yeah, it's a great choice.
- 14:37OK, next we've got. Number six.
- 14:41Number six, we've got Victor Olofsson of the Colorado
- 14:44Avalanche. Fun story here is that Kevin
- 14:46picked him up then dropped him right before his five point game
- 14:50and now I have so we'll see if we'll see if anything comes of
- 14:53it, but he's currently line 3 power play one.
- 14:55This is one of those super high potential upside that could end
- 14:59up being a drop in a week type of guys.
- 15:01So he you know, don't expect that 5.3 power play .7 shots.
- 15:06You know 3 bucks like crazy game like that to happen possibly
- 15:10ever again for the rest of his career.
- 15:11But I will say that Colorado's power play has been struggling
- 15:15to start the year and they've been shuffling it around a lot
- 15:18and they put Olson on power play and they score 3 power play
- 15:21goals. That's gotta buy him at least a
- 15:22week of power play 1 deployment, which is why he's a good pick up
- 15:25for the week, if not longer. I know before the season even
- 15:28started that the coach had mentioned wanting to give him
- 15:30looks on power play 1. He mentioned he really likes his
- 15:32shot and I just really like the potential there.
- 15:35So it's rare that you can pick up a guy with this potential
- 15:38Solo rostered. He jumped up like 20% after that
- 15:41five point game. But we were going to recommend
- 15:44him even before that five point game.
- 15:45So and we did recommend him actually before that.
- 15:47So so yeah, I like him a lot. Firstly, kudos to Kevin for
- 15:51enthusiastically road coating after dropping him before the
- 15:53five point game I had to. We are truly, truly dedicated to
- 15:57the grind, so let that be known. Second of all, this is what he
- 16:02does. He's a power play specialist.
- 16:03He's, I mean, I think we spoke about him being compared to
- 16:07Shane Goss's beer or Tony D'Angelo.
- 16:09Like he's the forward version of that.
- 16:10He's pretty irrelevant otherwise.
- 16:12But if he does keep this, playing with Kyle Macar, Nathan
- 16:17McKinnon, Nichushkin and obviously their best player,
- 16:20Marty Nachos huge. Contracts.
- 16:22Conversation for another time. That's massive.
- 16:24Like this should be a very tall power play in the league and I
- 16:28expect him to stay there cause I don't really think his
- 16:31competition is as strong as it may look like.
- 16:33An is a better player so is Rock Nelson but for the power play
- 16:37why not have him there? He's also a left-handed shot and
- 16:41if I'm not mistaken, Macar, McKinnon and Natures are all
- 16:43righties, so you need. That place to be, Yeah.
- 16:48Yeah, we'll say another thing that I liked about him, which is
- 16:50why I picked him up is that in two of his last four or five
- 16:54games, or at the time picking up two of his last four, he put up
- 16:56seven shots on goal. That's like one time is like,
- 17:00OK, that could be a fluke, but already one time shows they have
- 17:02the potential to do it. 2 times is like, OK, this guy's a volume
- 17:05shooter. So even if he's putting up
- 17:06zeros, I mean, I picked him up, he put up zeros the next game,
- 17:08but he put up three shots on goal.
- 17:10I'm happy with the shots. You know, like it's not an
- 17:12exciting stat line, but he's not giving you zeros on nights where
- 17:14he doesn't show up, show up on the worksheets.
- 17:16So I like him a lot. Yeah, yeah, really sucks about
- 17:19Allison because I I think also the thing with him is the
- 17:23archetype of player that he is, is like Josh just said, he's a
- 17:26volume shooter. Like we're seeing him do this
- 17:28with third line minutes, but there's a very real possibility
- 17:31that he ends up on line 2. Like and I can see him getting
- 17:34the line 1 looks if they're having troubles there like
- 17:37McKinnon and natures will always be there.
- 17:38But is it crazy to have olives and be left wing online one?
- 17:41Like it's not crazy. I think he can end up being line
- 17:442 instead of a where Colton is right now.
- 17:46Like he could end up being on the same line with Tristan and
- 17:48Brock Nelson and. Then that lineup is wide open.
- 17:51Other than other than McKinnon and Natures Online one there's
- 17:55Everywhere is up for grabs pretty much.
- 17:56The fact that they're already giving up one time and that the
- 17:59P1 started to click after they put him on there is super
- 18:02encouraging. The fact that he could also get
- 18:05a bump up in 55 minutes as well. Like right now he's doing this
- 18:08with like 1314 minutes a night. Like, honestly, that's not a
- 18:11lot. So the fact that he's able to
- 18:12put up this kind of production with those minutes, if he gets a
- 18:151617 minutes, it could even be, I wouldn't say like the ceiling
- 18:18goes up because like, I'm not gonna say what's going to go
- 18:21from seven shots and nine shots, but you might see more of those
- 18:243-4 shots instead of those zeros, zeros and ones every
- 18:27other game. So yeah.
- 18:28Yeah. It's a lot of potential.
- 18:31How do you say that? I'm I'm thinking like like even
- 18:34even like another way of like Dora Feb of last year, Dora Fev,
- 18:38not with the crazy insane pace that he's on.
- 18:40Basically, that's exactly what you can expect and they were
- 18:42literally on the same team. It's a perfect comparison.
- 18:44I wanna put it out through that like there's a very real chance
- 18:48like Paul Mary or Everly we talked about right before, have
- 18:51better weeks, but they don't have the potential that Allison
- 18:54has to be like a season long hold and honestly, like just
- 18:57tremendous value for where you got him off of waivers. 100%
- 19:02Alright, let's move on to. #5. At number 50, we have Trevor
- 19:08Zagaris of the Philadelphia Flyers.
- 19:11He's line one power play 2, but it's kind of weird.
- 19:15Obviously Couturier's day-to-day, so that's why he's
- 19:17currently getting line 1 looks. Before that he was line 3, but
- 19:20really and power play 2 is like split power play unit.
- 19:23So it's kind of weird the lines in Philly.
- 19:25I wouldn't put too much thought into that.
- 19:27At the end of the day, Zegers is putting up unreal numbers.
- 19:30He's pretty like, I think we all agree that he, if I had him, I
- 19:34would, you know, maybe try to offload him.
- 19:36But in terms of a pickup, you obviously wanna pick up a guy
- 19:39who's putting up these numbers. It's just a three-game week, but
- 19:42this could be someone who lasts on your roster.
- 19:45Yeah, but this is not going to be one of those guys that's like
- 19:47a top five best player on your team, but for somebody that you
- 19:50probably picked up on waivers, you're gonna get tremendous
- 19:52value out of him. I think Zagreus is also one of
- 19:54those names that you always have the potential tied to him, even
- 19:57though the production on the ice hasn't always been there.
- 19:59But in a week like this, like, and how hot he's been, at some
- 20:02point you just got to ride the streak until it ends and that's
- 20:04what you got to do. Yeah, exactly.
- 20:07I mean, this is the the points section and the points have been
- 20:09there. Now with Couturier out, he may
- 20:11even be getting bigger minutes for this week.
- 20:13It's good. As Josh mentioned, I think he's
- 20:15a good player to consider offloading if he is on your team
- 20:19at the right price. But if you're holding him like
- 20:21this is a good week to ride it out, especially if Couturier
- 20:24keeps him like his absence is a little bit more prolonged and
- 20:28Zagros is on that line 1. Yeah, OK.
- 20:32We've got at. #4. We've got a banger management
- 20:39favorite feel. He appears on every episode of
- 20:41Always Streamers and waivers until he pops past 40%.
- 20:45I could see him staying on this episode a lot.
- 20:48We've got Mackie Samutsevich of the Florida Panthers Line 2
- 20:51Power Play 1, and just especially in bangers leagues,
- 20:54the shot hit volume. Stud.
- 20:56With the potential of being power play one-on-one of the
- 21:00best teams in the league, it's just such a no brainer for me.
- 21:02This is this is a very much season long hold type of guy.
- 21:06And yeah, I think, I can't believe that he's still so low
- 21:09rostered. That Florida lineup needs help.
- 21:12Like it just feels like nobody's producing right now, even even
- 21:15even Mackie, like the fact that he's able to have this kind of
- 21:19category coverage for your bangers leagues and still be
- 21:22less than 40% owned and also have the ceiling with the
- 21:25deployment in terms of five you 5 and on PS1, like he's a he's a
- 21:29slam dunk. Like you got him either super
- 21:30late in your draft or off of waivers.
- 21:32And I think he's providing way more value than than what that
- 21:35cost was looking forward. Like he can be a season long
- 21:39hold. Yeah, and he's way off that 40%,
- 21:43he's at 11. Yeah, that's wild.
- 21:46And and to me, with the opportunity he has, I, I think
- 21:49he's poised to be a mainstay on the power play 1.
- 21:52They're shaking things up because they're not doing that
- 21:56well right now with all the injuries they have.
- 21:58But even with to Chuck coming back, like I don't think he gets
- 22:01bumped. He's been really good for
- 22:03offence even last year as a rookie.
- 22:04And I think that this year it's really good to have him on your
- 22:08squad. So this is more waivers and
- 22:11streamers in this so far is like keep them, keep them around.
- 22:14Yeah, like you pick them up for this week and it could be the
- 22:17foreseeable future. I was just gonna say like maybe
- 22:20they do some weird stuff with the lineup and it doesn't end on
- 22:22MVP one, but without a doubt their best power play 1 unit
- 22:26will include him. So whether they want to go with
- 22:28their best unit or not, like it includes him on there.
- 22:30So and you kind of got to trust the coaching staff to make the
- 22:33smart decision at some point. At this rate, you're gonna hear
- 22:36his name for a while on this episode.
- 22:39You're tired of hearing him about him?
- 22:40Then pick him up and get that percentage above 40 for us, you
- 22:43know? Exactly.
- 22:44We we gotta do what we gotta do, guys.
- 22:46And he's he's part of giving the best advice.
- 22:48So like, you know, Mackie, you don't have to go home, but you
- 22:50can't stay here. And in order to get him out
- 22:52finally, please start picking him up, people.
- 22:56Exactly. OK, let's go to. #3.
- 23:02At #3 we have Anthony Mantha of the Pittsburgh Penguins 4 game
- 23:06week with two off nights, line 2 power play 1.
- 23:08To me, this is a clear not season long hold.
- 23:10This is a stream that you ride out until he fizzles out.
- 23:14But he's been on fire points wise.
- 23:16Pittsburgh as a whole has been on fire and he has power play
- 23:19one with Raquel injured. So that's a big opportunity for
- 23:21him. He's playing with Malkin on even
- 23:23strength when Malcolm playing out of his mind, playing with
- 23:25Justin Brazo who's also playing out of his mind.
- 23:27Everything screams unsustainable.
- 23:29But on a four-game week with two off nights while they're still
- 23:31riding that high, you absolutely take the shot.
- 23:35Totally agree with this one. He has been a very productive
- 23:38player in his career and it's just been like a catastrophic
- 23:44past few years as a journeyman. But you know that he can succeed
- 23:48if he's around the right players.
- 23:50It's I mean, look, Pittsburgh is such an interesting case right
- 23:53now. Like not to get too much into
- 23:54it, but I think they're overperforming.
- 23:56I think we all agree. Nevertheless, to have this
- 24:00opportunity to pick up a guy who's under 40% owned for this
- 24:04week with this amount of games on a red hot squad, yeah, you
- 24:08gotta go for it. I wanna say with Mantha, we not
- 24:14to do not to be a little a little discord discord guy
- 24:17again, but we talked about him in the discord.
- 24:20We had some questions about who should we pick up or whatever.
- 24:23And I remember Josh answered one of our discord members and was
- 24:26like, listen, Manta looks kind of good right now.
- 24:28Pick them up. You got like a point in two
- 24:30games in a row. And then he's been on this
- 24:32person's roster for since since then.
- 24:34And now with how hot Malkin is and the Raquel injury and him
- 24:37getting bumped up to P1, like it just feels like this production
- 24:41can keep like continue and Ritola taught.
- 24:44Like Josh said, it's not one of those guys that's gonna end up
- 24:46on your roster the whole season. But with this deployment right
- 24:49now, you have to have a look for game week.
- 24:50Like why not? Yeah, yeah.
- 24:53OK, let's go to. #2 the goat. #2 we've got a pair of teammates,
- 25:02Troy Terry and Chris Kreider of the Anaheim Ducks.
- 25:06Both line one power play one both somehow under 40% rostered.
- 25:10I mean, Crider I get while he's under 40%, it's because he was
- 25:13injured. Well, he had, he was sick for
- 25:14the past like 2 weeks. So obviously that drops down the
- 25:17ownership percentage and it'll go back up.
- 25:19Terry is just Terry and get up. Sitting on that.
- 25:24One, I just came up with that, but he's at 1.3 points per game
- 25:29.4 power play points, 2.3 shots. He just they're killing it.
- 25:34Especially like that top line of Terry Crider and Carlson are
- 25:39going nuts. Goatee is also going nuts.
- 25:41All them on power play 1 and times are really fun team.
- 25:44I mean we kind of said this in the off season and going into it
- 25:46we knew they were going to be a fun team full of really good
- 25:49scoring threats. We didn't pinpoint necessarily
- 25:52that which ones were going to be the top, top guys, but I feel
- 25:56like it's just all of them. I feel like really like the top
- 26:00ones on the top line and Gautier, like all those top four
- 26:02guys, they're somehow spreading the wealth where all of them are
- 26:06like point per game. And it's really, it's really fun
- 26:08to watch. I don't think the ceiling for
- 26:11this team is going to stay this high like forever.
- 26:14I think at some point they'll they'll slow down.
- 26:15But right now it's like everybody's eating and while
- 26:18everybody eats, Troy Terry eats. So it's looking real good.
- 26:22Right now I think both Terry and Kreider our season long holds.
- 26:27Yeah, in deep. Relief how deep your league is,
- 26:29but with this deployment of what they're able to do with this
- 26:31deployment, it's looking good. Yeah.
- 26:34It's getting to the point where you hear playing with Leo
- 26:38Carlson is in that like playing with Larkin kind of vibes or
- 26:43playing with Suzuki territory. You know, it's like it's not
- 26:46playing with McDavid or playing with Crosby, but Carlson's been
- 26:49a monster. With the deployment, yeah.
- 26:52Yeah, being super relevant and you know, this year a big
- 26:55difference is that they have a clear, more clear if you will
- 26:59power play one versus power play 1.
- 27:02A Yes, it's huge. Yeah, and Terry has shown a lot
- 27:06of offensive promise in his career, so I'm more excited
- 27:09about him than Cryder. But hey, they brought in Cryder
- 27:12for a reason, and it's to be that net front guy who's going
- 27:14to play a big part. So I really like both of them
- 27:17and especially for this week, I would happily roster 1 if only
- 27:22one's available, or both if you can.
- 27:23Yeah, I mean, four-game week with two off nights, take both
- 27:26of them. Why not?
- 27:27And I will say that Kreider has been a nice surprise.
- 27:30I took him as a dart throw lead in our draft and he's kind of
- 27:33doing just exactly what you want, what they want.
- 27:36When they traded for him, right? He elevated their entire power
- 27:38play. He's just that net front guy and
- 27:40he's just banging in rebounds to making deflections and getting
- 27:42those those greasy goals. I don't know if you saw he had a
- 27:44goal recently that he actually didn't even score the goal, but
- 27:47the goalie knocked the net off. And so they awarded him the goal
- 27:50because they were like it was going in and the goalie knocked
- 27:52the net off. So so we take those in fantasy.
- 27:55That counts just as much as a regular goal.
- 27:57So it's that like I like both of them as a a season long holds
- 28:02and let's move to. Number one, they're.
- 28:05Gonna make this one's gonna make Kevin happy because he has on
- 28:08his team at #1 we have William Eckland of the San Jose Sharks,
- 28:12currently line 2 power play one. But I wouldn't put too much
- 28:14stock in that even strength deployment.
- 28:16He can easily jump to line one at any moment.
- 28:18And really that whole kind of Sharks team is well, not the
- 28:22whole team, but that top line is a really, really popping off of
- 28:25the three young ones, Celebrity, Ecklund and Smith.
- 28:29It's this is a clear season long hold and I think the ship may
- 28:33have sailed on the sun. If you haven't picked him up
- 28:35yet, the one listening to this episode.
- 28:37Yeah, he has nine points in his last five games.
- 28:39Him, him and Celebrity look like the two biggest forces on this
- 28:42team. As you're listening to this.
- 28:44He'll probably cross over the 40% mark, but just just above.
- 28:48So I would say really get him while he's hot.
- 28:50Like we've known Eckland to be one of those prospects that has
- 28:53such a high ceiling. And last year at the end of it,
- 28:56we saw already the breakout kind of start.
- 28:59And this year it just looks like it's full throttle, like it's
- 29:02San Jose started slow and now it looks at the scoring at will.
- 29:05I want I wanna piece of anything close to this top line, this top
- 29:09power play playing with celebrity.
- 29:11I just think that there's so much potential for Eckland to be
- 29:14first of all season long hold, but also on a weekly basis.
- 29:19He just we already seeing he has a high, high ceiling.
- 29:22So you pick you pick him up for the floor, he's shooting, he's
- 29:24actually blocking as well, which is a bonus to have for a
- 29:27forward. But the points and the scoring
- 29:30ability is there. Yeah, and I will add in just
- 29:32cause I didn't mention any, we didn't mention any defensemen
- 29:36here in this list, but toss in John Klingberg on the same vein.
- 29:39He hasn't put up points yet since coming back from his
- 29:41injury, but he's putting up really solid back cats.
- 29:44Not that I necessarily expect it to last, but it's nice.
- 29:47And it's like and said, I like having a piece of that power
- 29:50play one on San Jose just to see they have a lot of firepower.
- 29:52Just see like what they can do. It's a It's worth taking a shot
- 29:55on. Yeah, John Klingberg is like
- 29:57filling up the statue is getting like three shots, hits and
- 29:59blocks every game. It's been 2 games thus far since
- 30:02his return from injury, so I don't want to read too much into
- 30:04it. Like he's never been the type of
- 30:05guy that's going to be a category coverage banger guy.
- 30:09But listen, if it's happening now, write it and he's getting
- 30:12exposed to the P1 instead of Orlov, who was very serviceable
- 30:16in his in his absence, right? So that makes me that makes me
- 30:19think that maybe it's just the guys around them on that power
- 30:22play or elite and whoever ends up having that defensive spot
- 30:25will have good production because Orlov is not like, I'm
- 30:28not saying he's a bad player, but he's not he's not a power
- 30:31play specialist. Let's say yeah.
- 30:32So the fact that he could do what he did with that deployment
- 30:36just goes to show that maybe that defensive slot on San
- 30:38Jose's more noteworthy than we initially, initially.
- 30:43Thought yeah, I don't think it's like a power play that's run
- 30:45through the defence. I think it's very clearly run
- 30:47through the forwards. But end of the day, the defence
- 30:49gonna get plenty of at the very least like secondary assists,
- 30:51right? So.
- 30:52And the time of ice helps sort of category coverage.
- 30:55Yeah, exactly. Yeah, the big difference between
- 30:58Eklan this year and last year is the shots.
- 31:01That's something that's huge. He was getting good minutes and
- 31:04he's actually a pretty reliable blocker throughout his career,
- 31:07so I don't think he's his eligible.
- 31:11Yeah, for for a forward that's. Yeah, it's it's all.
- 31:15Right. Yeah, exactly.
- 31:17Nobody's awesome. Not irrelevant, yeah and look
- 31:21like I mean, I think he could hover around a point where game
- 31:24moving forward and that's the pace that he's at.
- 31:26Even if he's not playing line one, he's still getting huge
- 31:30minutes and it's really the power play that's exciting.
- 31:33Again, like Hagel vibes. It's 25 minutes 20 like another
- 31:3825 minutes. This is.
- 31:39Ridiculous they're giving him rest days and practice because
- 31:42he's playing so much and like they want to be fresh and hot.
- 31:45So I mean I saw report they were like excellence that I practiced
- 31:47and I was like here we go another injury.
- 31:49I'm going to the Discord chat. And then they were like, it's
- 31:52just, it's just a maintenance day.
- 31:53Like he, he just played so much so.
- 31:55Yeah, that that's a flex. It's like we need you for the
- 31:57game. So yeah, exactly.
- 31:59Chill at. Home, Yeah.
- 31:59You talking about practice? Yeah.
- 32:05Amazing. OK, let's get into our top five
- 32:10bangers for the week. Some not necessarily as exciting
- 32:13names, but you know, some plug in, plug and chug guys.
- 32:16So we can top ten we just listed are obviously like we want guys
- 32:19gonna be able to provide points for your fantasy teams.
- 32:21But we're also we talked about guys that are good in Bangers
- 32:24league specifically because we are banger management.
- 32:26But these top five bangers are guys that you're picking up
- 32:30solely for those banger categories.
- 32:31Like you need hits, you need blocks, some shots as a good
- 32:34bonus. These are guys that you want on
- 32:36your roster for this week. So let's start toilet but at the
- 32:38top of the top five by threw in some some interesting ones that
- 32:41also give you some other aspects.
- 32:42But definitely, yeah, so at. Wait, before you begin, Kevin, I
- 32:45think you literally just set the record for most times saying
- 32:48Bangor in a 32nd span. Don't tempt me with a challenge
- 32:52because I'll do it again. And you know, you hit that.
- 32:55Be super hard every time. He's like banger.
- 32:59Hard. Beat.
- 33:04It's like was it was it a SpongeBob episode where you see
- 33:06like the lip like get like locked and loaded to see like
- 33:09the the be like the banger? Yeah, it's like, it's like that
- 33:14meme with. Mouth, yeah.
- 33:16Yeah, exactly. Exactly.
- 33:17That's what I was thinking of. Alright, so our top five bangers
- 33:22we got #5. Jake McCabe of the Toronto Maple
- 33:26Leafs, 4 game week with multiple off nights.
- 33:29He's averaging 1.4 hits, 2.6 blocks so far, but I see it
- 33:32being closer to two and two. And yeah, nothing really
- 33:35exciting here. Just has a good schedule and
- 33:37he's going to get you hits and blocks.
- 33:38And he's been really solid this year in terms of just like
- 33:40overall general value. Like there's not a guy you
- 33:42drafted in most leagues, no. And yet, like he's providing
- 33:45really good value at the back end of your roster.
- 33:48He he's like the Cirelli of defensemen, always reliable.
- 33:53You know, he's like the type of guy that like, if you're friends
- 33:56with him, it's like, hey, what are you up to?
- 33:57Is like not much chilling you, not much.
- 33:59And then you just like go and have pizza pockets and play
- 34:01Xbox. That's something to live by, not
- 34:04gonna lie. That's actually like one of the
- 34:07biggest compliments I think you can give someone.
- 34:09So that's. Exactly, exactly.
- 34:10You're not getting like anything like you're not gonna like
- 34:12cookie with steak, but like he like only has like NHL like 19
- 34:18or something, but. It was a good time.
- 34:21I'll take it. There we go.
- 34:24OK, that's. #4. And #4 we've got Leanne Bichel
- 34:33of YEAH. You were in the Hudson.
- 34:38No, I just felt like saying it like that.
- 34:40I think it's Lion Bischel, but I don't know why I put a little
- 34:42sink on it. Yeah, Michelle sounds so
- 34:45sophisticated. I wanted to have a little fun
- 34:49with it because there's not much to say. 3.3 hits, 1.3 blocks on
- 34:52the season so far. 4 game week with multiple off nights so you
- 34:56know Leanne's your guy. Yeah, yeah, a lot less fancy
- 35:01production than the name suggests, but yeah, he's more of
- 35:06a lean visual on the ice than. Aleah Chelle You Wanna Learn
- 35:10Visual on the street and the Leanne Michelle.
- 35:15We spent too much time on this. Sheet of paper to be clean.
- 35:22Having way too much fun with this.
- 35:24But like, yeah, he's, he's not the the best banger to pick up
- 35:26this week. Funny.
- 35:31That's good. OK, go on before we keep this
- 35:33nonsense. Should I go to number the next
- 35:37one? Yeah, yes, alright #3. #3 we've
- 35:42got Sean Walker of the Carolina Hurricanes averaging 2.2 shots,
- 35:452.5 hits, 1.7 blocks, 4 game week with multiple off nights
- 35:49and he's power play one. This is one.
- 35:51This is what I meant. I meant there was some
- 35:53interesting stuff in the top three of this list because this
- 35:56is like really good bangers numbers, but he's also power
- 35:59play. One look, Caroline doesn't have
- 36:00the best power play and he's definitely not a very offensive
- 36:03defenseman, but he's got the deployment with the black cat
- 36:07and base. So I like him as a pick up a lot
- 36:09with the great schedule this week.
- 36:10I've debated picking him up in our league sometimes all year.
- 36:13Yeah. Like I just look, I'm like why
- 36:16is he still there? And it's like, yeah, but it's
- 36:18not fun. It's not fun at all.
- 36:20But it's good, especially with the volume.
- 36:23He's gonna get you the numbers and he's very important to
- 36:26roster on a four-game week. I think, I think the one of the
- 36:32main things with Walker is that with the ghost injury and the
- 36:34other defensive injuries, he's going to be playing first of
- 36:36all, a lot more minutes because no slave and no Kendra Miller.
- 36:39Still, he's getting that P1 exposure.
- 36:43But I don't want to read too much into it because that feels
- 36:46really squishy. Like by the time we know you
- 36:48listen to this, maybe he's not even practicing there anymore or
- 36:50what not. The situation just seems super
- 36:52fluid. So I'm not, I'm not reading too
- 36:54much into that, but the bangers aspect of it has been really
- 36:57good for Walker. So yeah, that's why it's like
- 36:59he's banging and he's got that potential upside of, you know,
- 37:01maybe he'll chip in a power play point or something, which is
- 37:04always crazy from a guy who just have for his bangs.
- 37:06Exactly. Alright, let's go to #2.
- 37:11At #2 we have Phillip Veronica of the Vancouver Canucks.
- 37:14He's at .5 points per game, two hits at 1.5 blocks.
- 37:17This is kind of similar vibe to Walker where with King Quinn
- 37:20Hughes being injured, Corona gets power play 1.
- 37:22So he has the back hat floor with that point ceiling or like
- 37:27upside, but Quinn Hughes day-to-day.
- 37:29So there's a chance that by the time you know, you're listening
- 37:32to this or by the time it's next week, Hughes is back and he
- 37:34loses that power play one spot. But at the end of the day, he
- 37:36still gonna get you hits and blocks.
- 37:39Yeah, it's the same concept as Walker to me.
- 37:42It's just that Vancouver's, I don't even want to say
- 37:45Vancouver's power play is better, but the chance of a
- 37:47defenseman producing there on Vancouver is better.
- 37:50And he's just like more offensive than Sean Walker is.
- 37:53Nevertheless, like banger categories are more kind of here
- 37:57to stay and the power play presence is almost irrelevant.
- 38:00Yeah, it's just an upside. It just like you take it for the
- 38:03bangers with the upside, it just compared to a guy who just bangs
- 38:06and doesn't have that upside. And why not go with the one who
- 38:08has the chance? You call it bangers with
- 38:11benefits. It sounds.
- 38:12It sounds off, but that's the idea.
- 38:15I like it alright. And at the top at #1 we've got
- 38:24Emil Heineman of the New York Islanders.
- 38:27He has .6 points per game, two shots, 4.4 hits, just absolutely
- 38:31absurd numbers that he is putting up.
- 38:33He was one of our top recommendations for last week
- 38:36and he stays as one of our top recommendations until he gets to
- 38:3940% maybe. So let's let's push him to the
- 38:42moon now. This is a great pickup.
- 38:44He's at the top of the list despite being the only one of
- 38:47these five who doesn't have a four-game week with multiple off
- 38:49nights. That's just I think this could
- 38:51be a season long hold. Yeah, yeah, I, I think he's
- 38:54awesome for banger leagues, like really, really great.
- 38:57And, and he's kind of going under the radar.
- 38:59I feel like the only people who drafted him are Habs fans, not
- 39:02Islanders fans, because they were fun because they got rid of
- 39:05Dobson. But he is.
- 39:07So actually, if there's any Islanders fans who did draft
- 39:10him, let us know in the discord. But he's actually a really good
- 39:12player. He was good last year, just
- 39:13didn't have the opportunity. And now he's getting top
- 39:16deployment and performing and then some.
- 39:18Like I would even consider trading for him if you're in
- 39:23enough league, if you're in a deep enough league.
- 39:25Like I've considered trading for Heineman I.
- 39:28Think he's trading for Heineman? Yeah.
- 39:31Too crazy, but that's it. He doesn't have the name value.
- 39:33That's why he's rostered so low. So if you could pick him up off
- 39:36waivers, that's great. And if you're in a deep enough
- 39:37league that you want like this is more in the waiver territory
- 39:41of a season long hold, I consider them for this week.
- 39:44Right. Yeah.
- 39:45Yeah, he's 25% owned, so he's available in 3/4 of your
- 39:49leagues. He's hitting a bunch, he's
- 39:51shooting a bunch. I'll say his minutes fluctuate a
- 39:53lot. Like one game you can play 19
- 39:55minutes and I see we can play 12, then play like 18 again,
- 39:57then 12. So it's just like you don't
- 39:59really know what you're going to expect.
- 40:00But nonetheless, no matter how many minutes he's playing is
- 40:02getting you like over three hits a game.
- 40:04Yeah, it's unreal. Yep, Yeah.
- 40:07Alright, so our top three skater pickups for the week are William
- 40:10Eckland, Troy Terry and Anthony Mantha.
- 40:12Let's move on to the goalie section of the episodes.
- 40:16We'll start with our quantity goalies.
- 40:17These are ones we're going to get you 2 plus starts on the
- 40:19week and are under 40% owned. Let's start with. #3.
- 40:24At #3 We've got a Venger management favorite, art tours,
- 40:28Sheila Offs of the Pittsburgh Penguins.
- 40:32They play Toronto, Washington, and then a back-to-back New
- 40:35Jersey and LA. And they're alternating starts
- 40:37between Shiloh and Jerry. So he's gonna get two of those
- 40:40four starts. I mean, listen, it's the top
- 40:43team in the league. You're literally number one in
- 40:45the. League you're literally able to
- 40:46pick up one of their goalies that's in attend them right now
- 40:48I'm not saying that Pittsburgh gonna stay at top of the league
- 40:51forever but we we talked about she loves being a goalie to have
- 40:54potential this season. I don't wanna flex on everybody
- 40:57again, but in the offseason we talked about our top 10 signings
- 41:00and he was #10 so we just put it out there that Jerry was cooked
- 41:03this. Should have been #1.
- 41:06Looking back, we had to put him there, but yeah.
- 41:08But no, I mean, they've both been kind of serviceable thus
- 41:11far. And she loves has been better
- 41:12than Jerry in my opinion. So looking at a week, I guess
- 41:15we're able to get two stars out of him.
- 41:16Like I'm interested. Yeah, they're both good.
- 41:18I mean, we we don't like owning goalies and tandems, but on week
- 41:21saying you know that they have guaranteed 2 starts versus I
- 41:25mean like I'm looking at these teams and these are not easy
- 41:26matchups, but Pittsburgh is the wagon coming into this week.
- 41:30That's exactly teams are afraid of Pittsburgh, not the other way
- 41:33around. Exactly.
- 41:34So that's it. And because they are good teams,
- 41:37you still gonna get a lot of shots.
- 41:38And at this rate, Pittsburgh just gonna come out with a win.
- 41:41So he's definitely, definitely worth an ad.
- 41:45Yeah, all right. At. #2.
- 41:48We've got VTech Vanicek of the Utah and the only reason?
- 41:53He's getting. Utah, the only reason he's
- 41:56getting multiple starts is because they have two back to
- 41:58backs. They've got Buffalo, Toronto and
- 42:00then Montreal, Ottawa, so he's gonna get two of those four
- 42:03starts. Utah is also looking like a
- 42:05wagon to start the season so and he's done well in the two stars
- 42:08he's had so far this season, so I like him a lot. 2
- 42:11back-to-back, so you know, you're for sure getting those
- 42:13two starts, which is already valuable.
- 42:15Like sometimes we can expect a goal to get more than more than
- 42:18two or two without any back to backs.
- 42:20But you know, getting a sure thing here that's like
- 42:23back-to-back I like a lot. Hopefully he gets Ottawa.
- 42:25Ottawa is just a team that is kind of like all over the place.
- 42:27Like they can score a lot, but usually only the third period
- 42:30and they concede a lot. So you know you're gonna get
- 42:32good chances to win. Yeah.
- 42:34Great pick. Yeah, they're the 1 little
- 42:38caveat I'd mentioned here is that they're away on these
- 42:42games, so it's like. That is really harder.
- 42:45Yeah, it's definitely a bit harder, but Utah still look good
- 42:48enough team that I think they have a good chance of winning
- 42:51going into these matchups. All right.
- 42:54And at the top at. Number one.
- 42:58Akira. Akira can't help it.
- 43:02We've got Akira Schmidt of the Vegas Golden Knights.
- 43:05You're starting goalie for the Vegas Golden Knights.
- 43:07They play Detroit, Tampa and Anaheim and he should get 2 if
- 43:11not three of those starts. Yeah, I mean even the and the
- 43:17Lindblum. Karl Lindenbaum.
- 43:20He just got shelled against Colorado, So I think I think
- 43:23Schmid is probably going to be the guy.
- 43:25Now, both of these goalies are not the most impressive to me in
- 43:28terms of like what quality you're getting.
- 43:30Yeah, But you can't argue with the quantity that's offered to
- 43:34them at the moment with Hail being injured.
- 43:36So Akira on a great team too. So you always know you're going
- 43:40to get over 50% chance at a win whenever they play any kind of
- 43:43game. So I like him a lot this week.
- 43:45I may pick him up so. Yeah, well, it's always 50%.
- 43:48Either they win or they lose, you know?
- 43:50True, but sometimes you would think that they'd never win.
- 43:53Yeah. Yeah, you're you're excited to
- 43:56have a starting goalie on any team as a stream yet if it's the
- 44:01biggest school, the Knights, who was like a top team in the
- 44:03league, you're you're very happy to have that.
- 44:05And the fact that he's so low rostered honestly surprises me
- 44:09because he's been the go to guy for a bit.
- 44:12He's not performed super well, but they can win and they will
- 44:15win a lot of their games. And if he's a part of that,
- 44:18that's just a great person to hold until he'll comes back, I
- 44:21think. Exactly.
- 44:22While Hill is out, like starting goalie for Vegas, that has
- 44:26value. Yeah, Yep.
- 44:28OK, let's get into our top three star quality goalies.
- 44:30These are ones who are gonna get you.
- 44:32Probably quality starts. OK, now we've all said it so so
- 44:38these are going to be ones who get you probably only one start
- 44:40on the week, but it should be a good one so at. #3.
- 44:45We've got Jonathan Quick of the New York Rangers.
- 44:48They're playing a back-to-back against Detroit and the
- 44:50Islanders. Not necessarily the easiest
- 44:52opponents this year, but also not necessarily the scariest and
- 44:56quickest coming off a 23 safe shutout versus Vancouver.
- 45:00So even though. Yeah, it's crazy that he's still
- 45:03around, still kicking and still still putting up shot.
- 45:06Out. Especially on this Rangers team,
- 45:08which has been terrible. But but yeah, now he's showing
- 45:12that he's still a solid guy to pick up for a spot start.
- 45:15Back-to-back wins for the Rangers, though, So maybe trying
- 45:17to turn the corner here. And I just feel like even yes, I
- 45:20like cooking, but no, I mean, I wouldn't.
- 45:24I wouldn't bet my house on that. But I will say, just like it
- 45:27feels like in recent years, quick as he's not getting the
- 45:31workload and I said workload that Egor is getting, but it
- 45:36just feels like he's just one of the best quality qualities out
- 45:39there where you know, you just need a spot.
- 45:41Start here. You know, he's playing to the
- 45:43back-to-back and then it comes through for you in flying
- 45:45colours. So I I love Jonathan.
- 45:48Yeah, yeah, well said. He's not getting the Igor load,
- 45:50he's getting the quick load. OK, yes, next.
- 45:54Yeah, OK. At. #2.
- 46:01We've got Casey De Smith of the Dallas Stars.
- 46:05They have back-to-back Nashville and Seattle.
- 46:08This is the one that I I like the matchups a lot.
- 46:10Not particularly worried about those teams.
- 46:12And Dallas is one of the top teams or should be.
- 46:14They'll they'll get there in the standings.
- 46:16They're kind of mid right now, but they'll they'll get back to
- 46:17number. One, they'll get back to the.
- 46:19Top and dismiss, she's been solid in the past for spot
- 46:21starts. It's almost better for a quality
- 46:25star goalie if the team is underperforming slightly because
- 46:28it's like, OK, guys, we gotta win, you know?
- 46:30Yeah. So I think like on teams that
- 46:31are easily beatable for the Stars, Nashville and Seattle, I
- 46:34mean, we're not worried about them going into this matchup and
- 46:37he should be able to get the relatively easily.
- 46:40Yeah, when you're streaming for a quality start, honestly the
- 46:42the most, like the best thing you can rely on is a team win.
- 46:47Like you'll never be able to predict a guy getting a 960 save
- 46:51percentage or whatever. Like you're never gonna be able
- 46:53to predict that. But you have to stream the goals
- 46:55that you think have the best chance to win.
- 46:57That should be your goal. And I think Dallas is always one
- 47:00of those teams. Yes. 100% All right, let's go to
- 47:04the last one. Number one at #1 we have Charlie
- 47:09Lindgren of the Washington Capitals.
- 47:11They're playing back-to-back against Saint Louis and
- 47:13Pittsburgh, obviously vastly different opponents right now
- 47:16based on how things are going. Pittsburgh is number one in the
- 47:18league in Saint Louis is poopoo. But.
- 47:22Jackie told me they gonna finish second in the division.
- 47:25OK, any chance we get to rag on that prediction, we will take
- 47:30it. But yeah, Lingren is.
- 47:31Called to mention my great ones just.
- 47:33Yeah, Lot. Of good ones too, but.
- 47:35Yeah, Lingren is coming off a brutal start where he led a
- 47:38touchdown in against the auto ascenders.
- 47:41But Washington is still a very good team and I mean, I will say
- 47:45I will keep it. I would keep an eye on which one
- 47:47of these starts he's going to get.
- 47:48I think you'll be able to determine it based on the next
- 47:51game that they play when they play against Buffalo.
- 47:54If Lingering gets the start, then I think he's going to start
- 47:57against Pittsburgh because I don't see him getting two starts
- 47:59in a row. If Thompson gets the start
- 48:01against Buffalo, I think Liam's gonna get the Saint Louis one
- 48:04because they've been giving kind of two starts to Thompson, then
- 48:07one to Lingren, back and forth. So if they stretch it to three
- 48:09starts in a row for Thompson, then I see Linger and getting
- 48:12the next one. So that's worth keeping an eye
- 48:14out on. I think you could, even before
- 48:15they announce it, you could predict which one he's going to
- 48:17get, and I think it's vastly different if he gets Saint Louis
- 48:20or Pittsburgh. Yeah, exactly.
- 48:22I think yes, yes, applause. We've seen Lingren be able to to
- 48:28prove himself in matchups like this and I think this is a a
- 48:32great week to stream if you need one quality start.
- 48:35Yeah, I mean him. One game he led in seven goals
- 48:36and another game he got a 35 save shutout.
- 48:38So, you know, he's definitely capable.
- 48:41Yes, yeah, yeah, he could have big games and Washington is such
- 48:44a good team, like you said. OK, that wraps up our Week 5
- 48:49streaming waivers episode, TM Patent pending.
