- 1:24SPEAKER_03: All right, today.
- 1:25SPEAKER_03: On the heels of us having that big conversation about uh the chore chart and all that.
- 1:30SPEAKER_03: And you know, it's interesting.
- 1:32SPEAKER_03: Some people find success with it, some people are like that, whatever.
- 1:35SPEAKER_02: Can I pause you on something really quick?
- 1:36SPEAKER_03: Sure.
- 1:37SPEAKER_02: We have run out of our on-demand time, but it gets re-up tomorrow.
- 1:41SPEAKER_02: So if you miss the chore chart conversation.

- 1:44SPEAKER_02: It'll be there tomorrow.
- 1:45SPEAKER_02: Sorry about that.
- 1:46SPEAKER_02: But anyway, keep going.
- 1:47SPEAKER_03: All right, so today also is a very, shall I say, polarizing day for parents.
- 1:54SPEAKER_03: Oh my god.
- 1:55SPEAKER_03: I'm gonna play a throwback commercial for you from 1981 that'll help you remember.
- 1:59SPEAKER_04: Play-doh.
- 2:00SPEAKER_04: They love it.
- 2:01SPEAKER_04: That's because they can do so much with it.
- 2:04SPEAKER_04: You're the Play-Doh boy.
- 2:05SPEAKER_04: Right!
- 2:06SPEAKER_03: Kids love to squish it and squash it, and get it in every fiber of carpet that is known to mankind.
- 2:13SPEAKER_03: It's National Play-Doh Day.
- 2:14SPEAKER_02: You know what I love about Play-Doh?
- 2:16SPEAKER_03: Oh, tell me, because I am really at the I'll tell you in a minute.
- 2:19SPEAKER_02: The smell.
- 2:20SPEAKER_03: Okay, that's the one thing.
- 2:22SPEAKER_03: And they did come out with a perfume about 12 years ago.
- 2:24SPEAKER_02: They did, and I don't want to wear it, but I love I love playing with it and just smell it.
- 2:30SPEAKER_03: Yes! I know, I know there is a very distinctive smell, which is lightened over the years, by the way.
- 2:35SPEAKER_03: I believe that toxic chemical was pulled from the uh shelves.
- 2:39SPEAKER_03: Now, me on the other hand, I'll glow in the dark.
- 2:41SPEAKER_03: So here's the thing I endured play-doh.
- 2:46SPEAKER_03: But I'm not gonna.
- 2:46SPEAKER_02: With Megan, you mean?
- 2:47SPEAKER_03: Oh no, with every kid that has, you know, come from my loin.
- 2:51SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 2:52SPEAKER_03: Um that I know of.
- 2:55SPEAKER_02: Your loin.
- 2:56SPEAKER_02: That I know of.
- 2:57SPEAKER_02: Oh my god.
- 2:58SPEAKER_02: The old tender loin.
- 2:59SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 3:00SPEAKER_02: I'm sure that's exactly what you were doing to consummate that love.
- 3:04SPEAKER_02: Oh, that's nice and nice and tenderly.
- 3:06SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 3:07SPEAKER_03: Might have been tenderizing.
- 3:11SPEAKER_03: Sorry, I'm sorry.
- 3:12SPEAKER_03: You took me here.
- 3:13SPEAKER_03: So they all said.
- 3:15SPEAKER_03: Oh my god.
- 3:15SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I can't wait for this to be on demand.
- 3:19SPEAKER_02: Tire owner, Kristen.
- 3:21SPEAKER_02: Don't I I we lost the tapes.
- 3:23SPEAKER_02: No, I'm just kidding.
- 3:26SPEAKER_03: That's the answer.
- 3:27SPEAKER_03: Come on.
- 3:27SPEAKER_03: That's the answer.
- 3:28SPEAKER_03: So I have to I have to ask the question.
- 3:31SPEAKER_03: And I I'm I'm I think I remember your house.
- 3:33SPEAKER_03: Were you a play-doh house?
- 3:34SPEAKER_03: Yes or no?
- 3:35SPEAKER_02: Absolutely not.
- 3:36SPEAKER_02: Absolutely not.
- 3:37SPEAKER_02: There's two things we were not allowed to have.
- 3:39SPEAKER_02: No nerds.
- 3:40SPEAKER_02: You know the candy?
- 3:41SPEAKER_02: Why?
- 3:41SPEAKER_02: No play-doh.
- 3:42SPEAKER_02: Get stuck in a carpet.
- 3:43SPEAKER_03: Nerds?
- 3:44SPEAKER_03: They were absolutely.
- 3:45SPEAKER_03: How did they not make it in your mouth?
- 3:47SPEAKER_03: Every other piece of junk food in the 90s did.
- 3:49SPEAKER_03: Have you seen?
- 3:51SPEAKER_03: Have you watched said that?
- 3:52SPEAKER_03: That's why I said that.
- 3:53SPEAKER_03: That's true.
- 3:54SPEAKER_03: Have you watched me eat?
- 3:55SPEAKER_03: Every shirt I own has a stain on it.
- 3:57SPEAKER_03: There's a nerd sticking out like a nipple.
- 3:59SPEAKER_02: That's why they that's why they call me Allie Stain.
- 4:02SPEAKER_02: Because I cannot get everything in my mouth.
- 4:06SPEAKER_02: Something will land on this shirt.
- 4:07SPEAKER_02: So then that since I was a kid, it would be in the carpet.
- 4:10SPEAKER_02: My mom hated those two things.
- 4:12SPEAKER_03: I am gonna make a guilty admission here.
- 4:14SPEAKER_03: There is still Play-Doh in my house, which for whatever dumb reason, I know why.
- 4:19SPEAKER_03: Gavin's out of the age.
- 4:20SPEAKER_03: He's done with it.
- 4:21SPEAKER_03: He will not even look at it.
- 4:22SPEAKER_02: Lydia Birthday party.
- 4:24SPEAKER_02: Somebody put it in a in one of those goodie bags.
- 4:26SPEAKER_03: Oh, you'll never get invited again.
- 4:28SPEAKER_03: Um, and then although I think we gave slime out in Lydia's goodie bags last time.
- 4:32SPEAKER_03: So I'm the butthole.
- 4:34SPEAKER_03: Uh but that that being said, is Gavin's way out of it.
- 4:37SPEAKER_03: Lydia, for whatever reason, at seven, one day a year, kind of like crappy outside right now, Rainy.
- 4:45SPEAKER_03: You might suddenly see her go to the play-doh.
- 4:48SPEAKER_03: And then here's the kicker.
- 4:49SPEAKER_03: Even at seven years old, the cleanup is the worst.
- 4:52SPEAKER_03: She still, to this day, will not cut it with kids not cleaning up the play-doh.
- 4:58SPEAKER_03: You could have Because then it gets crusted.
- 4:59SPEAKER_03: Yeah, well, you could have a rule in your house.
- 5:01SPEAKER_03: Okay, we're gonna have drawing Tuesday, and all the markers and crayons are out.
- 5:05SPEAKER_03: Kids will put that crap away.
- 5:07SPEAKER_03: Play-doh stays out like a herpy.
- 5:10SPEAKER_02: And then there's the you guys have the the like the table, right?
- 5:14SPEAKER_02: I I thought your kids had to tell you.
- 5:16SPEAKER_03: We have a big table downstairs that they can do whatever they wanted.
- 5:19SPEAKER_02: Exactly.
- 5:19SPEAKER_03: So even if that rule may change as Gavin gets to near 18, but either way.
- 5:24SPEAKER_02: It it gets somewhat in the container, but even the rest is still crusty and it's on the table.
- 5:29SPEAKER_02: It is everywhere.
- 5:30SPEAKER_02: Oh, see, which is why Gail did not allow it.
- 5:33SPEAKER_03: I love this.
- 5:34SPEAKER_03: Uh, you guys can always voice message us.
- 5:37SPEAKER_03: It's right next to where you would text on the app.
- 5:40SPEAKER_03: Wink 106, Twin Tears, Magic, My Radio Jams, a little microphone, go.
- 5:44SPEAKER_01: Oh, yes, our oldest had um tight curls.
- 5:47SPEAKER_01: She always had short hair because she had such tight curls, like you know, like Ronald McDonald tight curls, but much cuter.
- 5:57SPEAKER_01: And um, yeah, Plato in her hair was a bear.
- 6:01SPEAKER_01: Let me tell you.
- 6:02SPEAKER_01: We had to break out the extra conditioner and the gray stuff that you use when you're like eat angler.
- 6:09SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh.
- 6:10SPEAKER_01: And she didn't even put it in there on purpose.
- 6:12SPEAKER_01: She was just enthusiastically playing or lay down on the carpet or something, and there was some on the on the carp or on the uh floor mat.
- 6:21SPEAKER_03: Oh, yeah, of course there's some on the floor mat.
- 6:24SPEAKER_02: There's that's the reason why Gil also just never allowed it.
- 6:28SPEAKER_03: She didn't want to have to, you know, really spend much time bathing you.
- 6:32SPEAKER_02: Well, yeah, she didn't want it in my hair or even like does Lydia ever get it on her clothes?
- 6:37SPEAKER_03: No, it's Play-Hoh.
- 6:38SPEAKER_03: Oh, that's shocking.
- 6:39SPEAKER_03: It's not a big clothes problem.
- 6:41SPEAKER_03: It's really the left out like you know what it looks like?
- 6:45SPEAKER_03: It looks like a topographical map of the twin tiers laid out on the table.
- 6:49SPEAKER_02: Yes, it does.
- 6:50SPEAKER_02: But also my favorite thing to make when I had Play-Doh, pizza.
- 6:54SPEAKER_03: Pizza's a good one.
- 6:55SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and you'd pretend to eat it.
- 6:56SPEAKER_03: You're not a Play Doh house either?
- 6:58SPEAKER_00: Uh my youngest, uh we would we would make stuff out of Play-Doh, and he would and then the Play-Doh would come up missing and I'd find it underneath his between his mattress and his pillow.
- 7:10SPEAKER_00: He would shove it in there because he didn't want the other kids to use that color.
- 7:14SPEAKER_00: So he would take it and hide it under his pillow and forget it to there and get all dried out and crumbly.
- 7:21SPEAKER_00: Yes!
- 7:22SPEAKER_03: This is this toy is straight out of Satan's workshop, I'm telling you.
- 7:26SPEAKER_02: Uh I a part of me hated that my mom had so many rules when I was a kid.
- 7:31SPEAKER_03: But don't you get it now?
- 7:32SPEAKER_03: Yes, I do.
- 7:33SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 7:34SPEAKER_03: Because when Zach wants to play with Play Doh, are you gonna be like, Get No!
