  Romans chapter 6 Let us pray, oh God Almighty, we come boldly

  into the throne room of grace. God, we come in to the holiest

  of holy places. Let the Shekinah glory come down

  and around and about us. We see the Cherubim God, we see
• 0:31
  the mercy seat, we see Christ lifted high.
• 0:36
  We see the Seraphim God covering their eyes.
• 0:40
  Lord, you are holy, holy, holy Lord.
• 0:46
  God Almighty was and is and is to come.
• 0:53
  You are the Most high God, the King of kings and the Lord of
• 0:58
  Lords. You are the all sufficient
• 1:02
  sacrifice. You are the atonement for our
• 1:05
  sins. King Jesus, Lord God, we worship
• 1:10
  you in spirit and truth. This morning, Father, Father,
• 1:18
  us, ABBA, we cry out the Spirit and the bride says come, come,
• 1:28
  Lord Jesus, come. We are waiting expectantly,
• 1:34
  knowing that you're going to put your enemies under your feet as
• 1:38
  a footstool. God, we take hold of the hem of
• 1:43
  your garment. We receive our healing today.
• 1:46
  We receive Our Daily Bread today.
• 1:51
  God, give us your eternal words. Lord, we hang on every word,
• 1:56
  every syllable, every jot, every title.
• 1:59
  God, we dine sumptuously upon Your word.
• 2:05
  God, we want You and we want you alone, or this world has nothing
• 2:13
  for us. We are only pressing towards You
• 2:18
  and Lord. The love that we have found for
• 2:20
  our neighbors is because we experience the love and
• 2:23
  forgiveness from you Lord. So we extend that out to the
• 2:27
  nation's. We extend that out to all people
• 2:30
  groups, God. We extend that out to even the
• 2:33
  most hostile enemy. Father, we are your bond
• 2:39
  servants. We are linked up, yoked up with
• 2:42
  you, King Jesus and Lord, we only want what You want.
• 2:47
  We only want to do what it is that you want us to do.
• 2:50
  God, we love you. King Jesus, as we get into your
• 2:55
  word today, let it get into us. Let it become part of our DNA.
• 3:00
  Let it be the way the breath and our lungs.
• 3:05
  Father, I pray that we will be one with you and you one with
• 3:10
  us. Lord, let us produce much fruit.
• 3:14
  Lord, we see that the harvest is plenty.
• 3:18
  Lord, help us not to leave fruit hanging on the vine to rotten.
• 3:23
  Lord, I pray in the name of Jesus, by faith that we'll go
• 3:26
  out into the harvest, Lord, and that we will be found being your
• 3:32
  workers. God, that we will be found
• 3:35
  spreading seed, that we will be found harvesting.
• 3:38
  God, you give the increase, and Lord we will come.
• 3:43
  And with your words, Lord, bring many into salvation.
• 3:48
  It is your doing, it is your bidding, it is your plans for
• 3:53
  the ages. God, that we want more than we
• 3:56
  want this life. We have counted the cost, and
• 4:02
  Lord, we have found that you are worthy.
• 4:06
  Lord, we have counted the cost and we have found that we will
• 4:10
  never be put to shame whenever we are with You.
• 4:15
  God, build this house. God, I pray you'll increase this
• 4:21
  ministry. I pray, Father, in the name of
• 4:23
  Jesus, for many to come to salvation and let today be the
• 4:27
  day of salvation. God, bring them into the fold.
• 4:31
  Let them hear your voice and respond.
• 4:34
  Father, we love you. King Jesus, I pray for marriages
• 4:38
  around the world. God heal them.
• 4:41
  God, let us be the ministers of reconciliation.
• 4:44
  Lord Jesus, I pray for families. God to be strengthened in this
• 4:51
  hour. God, I pray for churches around
• 4:55
  the world. Father, the underground church,
• 4:58
  the dirt Hut church, the church under the overpass.
• 5:03
  God, I pray for the churches in missions.
• 5:07
  God, I pray for the churches and hospitals.
• 5:09
  Churches, God, in the homeless shelters.
• 5:12
  God, I pray for the churches worldwide, the home groups.
• 5:16
  Father, I pray you'll strengthen your body today.
• 5:20
  Lord, quicken the inner man. Father, let us hear your voice.
• 5:24
  Let us obey your voice. Father, I pray that as these
• 5:30
  words get spoken out to all nations, God, I pray that it'll
• 5:35
  never return void. Thank you Jesus for another day.
• 5:41
  Thank you Jesus for allowing us to come into marvel at your
• 5:46
  beauty. Lord, form a hedge of protection
• 5:50
  around us. Father, I pray that we will be
• 5:53
  found doing whatever it is that you have called us to do today.
• 5:57
  God, taking the whole word out to the whole world.
• 6:00
  Father, we love you, King Jesus, and this in your holy and
• 6:04
  precious and powerful awesome name and we pray.
• 6:11
  Amen. Well, let's start in verse one.
• 6:18
  What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that
• 6:24
  grace may abound? Think about it.
• 6:30
  Think about what Paul is asking. Paul's saying, because grace
• 6:38
  abounds so much more over sinful behavior that there is no sin
• 6:44
  that can outpace grace. Does that mean we should sin all
• 6:48
  the more? And what a preposterous
• 6:53
  supposition. What a ridiculous notion.
• 6:59
  And he's going to paint the picture and show us just how
• 7:03
  asinine this reasoning is. Friends, verse 2.
• 7:10
  God forbid, how shall we that are dead to sin live any longer
• 7:19
  in it? Think about it, friends.
• 7:24
  Only the true believer, the one who has experienced the
• 7:29
  regeneration. Only the true believer who is
• 7:32
  truly become a new creation in Christ understands this
• 7:38
  principle. If you are still kicking the
• 7:42
  tires of Christianity and you think that the attendance in
• 7:47
  church or the dunking in the water or the owning of a Bible
• 7:51
  is going to save you, you're going to struggle with this
• 7:55
  concept. And as we are sanctified and as
• 8:00
  the years go on and God refines us, you're going to find that
• 8:07
  sin has no power over you, that you have the ability to put it
• 8:13
  to death, to put it to bed, to completely get it behind you.
• 8:18
  And that does not mean that we are perfect or we have arrived.
• 8:23
  We will still continue on in this flesh until the Lord calls
• 8:28
  us home by and by. Hallelujah.
• 8:30
  We look forward to that day. However, all of the major sins
• 8:37
  that you struggled with when you first came to Christ will slowly
• 8:42
  fade away over time as Christ sanctifies you.
• 8:47
  And He's going to start revealing nuances to you that
• 8:50
  you weren't even aware of, things that you had hidden so
• 8:54
  deep into the Hallows of your mind and in your body.
• 8:59
  He's going to start revealing those things as you go along
• 9:02
  with Him later and later and later in your walk with the Lord
• 9:06
  Jesus Christ. But the fact of the matter is,
• 9:10
  friends, when we come to Christ, every single sin before, during,
• 9:19
  or after that point is under the blood of Jesus Christ, and those
• 9:25
  sins will never be counted against us.
• 9:28
  All the sins that we had committed, all the sins that we
• 9:32
  were committing, and all the sins that we would ever commit
• 9:36
  for the rest of our lives are under the blood of Jesus Christ.
• 9:41
  And if you show me somebody who takes that as a license to sin
• 9:49
  because there is forgiveness, I will show you somebody who has
• 9:53
  not captured the heart of the Lord Jesus Christ, because if
• 9:57
  you have captured his heart, you will not want to sin.
• 10:04
  And it will grieve you, friends. And there will be conviction the
• 10:10
  moment that those sins are committed.
• 10:13
  And you will hear the whisper of the Holy Spirit telling you that
• 10:17
  that was sinful and it is causing him grief.
• 10:22
  And you will immediately want to change those behaviors.
• 10:27
  You will not continue on in them, friends.
• 10:31
  Three, know you not that so many of us as we're baptized into
• 10:37
  Jesus Christ, we're baptized into his death.
• 10:42
  So what you need to know, friends, is that he took all the
• 10:47
  payment of sin whenever we came to him by faith.
• 10:54
  The reality of his mortal body, the the perfect innocent life
• 11:00
  that he lived in the flesh as he was crucified and as he went
• 11:08
  down and snatched the keys to death and Hades and has as he
• 11:13
  was resurrected and appeared before many and ascended to the
• 11:17
  right hand of God. All of the forgiveness of all of
• 11:21
  the sins of all of the world is available to you and to me,
• 11:25
  friends, praise God, Hallelujah. For therefore we are buried with
• 11:33
  him by baptism into death, that like as Christ was raised up
• 11:40
  from the dead by the glory of the Father.
• 11:43
  Even so we also should walk in newness of life.
• 11:47
  Do you have the newness of life, friends, or are you still stuck
• 11:51
  in your sin patterns? There is breakthrough for you.
• 11:55
  Today is the day of salvation. Put your faith in the Lord Jesus
• 11:59
  Christ today. It is not a question of have you
• 12:03
  ever put your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ?
• 12:06
  The true question that we all need to ask ourselves every
• 12:10
  single day. If you woke up this morning,
• 12:13
  God's not done with you. His mercies are new every day
• 12:17
  and you might have send up the wall last night friends or even
• 12:22
  this morning friends, but right now in this very moment the Lord
• 12:27
  is giving you another chance and today is the day of salvation.
• 12:33
  Do not have a hope so maybe so kind of faith when it comes to
• 12:38
  the Lord Jesus Christ. You can have a no so kind of
• 12:42
  faith with him in this newness of life.
• 12:46
  I pray that you have it and possess it.
• 12:49
  The true question is are you now following after the Lord Jesus
• 12:57
  Christ? Are you now placing your faith
• 13:01
  in the Lord Jesus Christ fully, completely?
• 13:04
  Nothing compartmentalized, nothing hidden, nothing held
• 13:09
  back, no sin entangling us, giving it all over to Him, not
• 13:15
  holding any of it, not trying to find our identity and our sinful
• 13:20
  behaviors, not loving sin more than we love the Lord Jesus
• 13:24
  Christ? Are you now walking in the
• 13:27
  newness of life? And if not, put your faith in
• 13:31
  the Lord Jesus Christ this very moment.
• 13:34
  Believe that God raised him from the dead.
• 13:36
  Call on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved.
• 13:40
  And then do it again tomorrow and again the next day, friends,
• 13:45
  and for the rest of your life. Make sure that you are in right
• 13:51
  relationship with Him, friends forever and ever. 54 If we have
• 13:59
  been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall
• 14:06
  be also in the likeness of his resurrection.
• 14:10
  The same power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead lives in
• 14:15
  you and lives in me. And we will be raised back to
• 14:21
  life in our resurrected bodies, our eternal bodies, friends, our
• 14:26
  immortal bodies, friends, our celestial bodies, friends, and
• 14:30
  we will never die, friends. And even those who refuse to put
• 14:37
  their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as they pass from this
• 14:42
  life into the next forever for all of eternity, they will die a
• 14:48
  billion deaths over and never be able to die.
• 14:51
  So what you need to understand is in this little short lifetime
• 14:56
  that God has given you, and if you woke up today, you have
• 14:59
  another chance. And the whole answer key to the
• 15:04
  entire questionnaire is what have you done with the Lord
• 15:08
  Jesus Christ name? He is the only way that we're
• 15:12
  ever going to make it into life eternal with God Almighty,
• 15:17
  friends is by getting covered in the blood of Jesus Christ and
• 15:22
  standing in his presence. And he will say well done, good
• 15:26
  and faithful servant and usher you into the rest that he has
• 15:31
  for you. And he will usher you in to the
• 15:34
  place that he prepared for you and you will be with him forever
• 15:37
  more. The street of gold and the tree
• 15:40
  of life, the river of life, friends.
• 15:43
  And we will be there in the New Jerusalem, where the gates are
• 15:46
  never shut, Friends, praise God, Hallelujah, we will be there
• 15:50
  with Him. And there is no temple there
• 15:53
  because He is there. There is no need for light there
• 15:56
  because He is there, friends. And that is where we are headed,
• 15:59
  and that is what we press towards.
• 16:01
  But there is much work to do in the meantime. 6 Knowing this,
• 16:10
  that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin
• 16:15
  might be destroyed, that from now on we should not serve sin.
• 16:23
  It cannot be made any more plainer than this.
• 16:29
  We are not a slave to sin. We are not victims to sin.
• 16:36
  We've got to get out of the victim mentality.
• 16:40
  Whenever you have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, you are the
• 16:45
  temple of God, and you must consecrate this temple because
• 16:50
  you are holy, because He is holy friends, and God dwells inside
• 16:54
  of you. So far be it from us to allow
• 16:57
  sin into our thought processes. We think that they are hidden
• 17:02
  and then nobody sees them. But God knows our minds and he
• 17:05
  knows our thoughts, and He knows our emotions and he knows all of
• 17:09
  our motives and he knows the nuances.
• 17:12
  He knows the heart. God.
• 17:13
  God knows everything and we just empty ourselves of ourselves and
• 17:21
  we allow this divine impartation as we rid ourselves of sin and
• 17:27
  the world and greed and selfish motives.
• 17:32
  He will flood into the temple, friends, this kind of glory
• 17:37
  filling the temple, the train of his robe, friends, and we cry
• 17:41
  out, holy, holy, holy. And he gives us the mind of
• 17:44
  Christ. We do not have to be a slave to
• 17:48
  sin. We do not have to keep going
• 17:51
  back to it like a dog to its vomit. 7 For he that is dead is
• 18:00
  freed from sin. Think about it, We were dead in
• 18:08
  our trespasses and Christ lived a perfect life for you and for
• 18:13
  me and now we are dead to that sin.
• 18:18
  We do not have to go back to it. We are made alive in Christ and
• 18:24
  He gives us the Holy Spirit as a down payment for the surety of
• 18:30
  our eternal life to come. I pray that you have been
• 18:33
  indwelled with the Holy Spirit. I pray that you have been
• 18:38
  regenerated. I pray that you are a new
• 18:41
  creation in Christ. If you do not know for sure that
• 18:46
  you are, it is available to you because God has given you one
• 18:50
  more day to make it right with Him.
• 18:54
  You must come to Him and admit that you are a Sinner and by
• 18:59
  faith believe that God is and that Jesus is our salvation.
• 19:07
  And we must place our faith in Him and Him alone, not in our
• 19:12
  own understanding, not in our own behavior, not in our own
• 19:17
  ways that we think of Him. We must come to Him as our all
• 19:24
  sufficient salvation. And then God will be well
• 19:29
  pleased as you make him the Lord of your life, over all of your
• 19:35
  senses, over all of your emotions, over all of what
• 19:38
  you've been taught by culture. As you empty yourself of
• 19:42
  yourself, He will flood you and He will mark you and He will
• 19:46
  give you the Holy Spirit, not knowing that Christ, being
• 19:52
  raised from the dead, dies no more.
• 19:55
  Death has no more dominion over him.
• 19:58
  We serve a risen, living God. There is no grave that you can
• 20:05
  go and visit. For Jesus Christ, you can go
• 20:09
  visit all of the other supposable moral teachers that
• 20:15
  have come that we elevate, but Jesus Christ is God and there is
• 20:20
  no grave that you can go and visit because He is risen and He
• 20:24
  is alive, never to die again. Friends, He gave up the ghost.
• 20:29
  No one took it from him, for in that he died, He died unto sin
• 20:39
  once, but in that he lives. He lives unto God, and that is
• 20:43
  Our Calling, that is our inheritance.
• 20:49
  When you came to the Lord Jesus Christ, He put the Holy Spirit
• 20:52
  inside of you, and you will be raised into eternal life.
• 21:00
  And when you came to him and was and you were marked by the Holy
• 21:03
  Spirit, you died to sin. Sin has no more dominion over
• 21:08
  you. Believer, Satan tries to come
• 21:12
  and he tries to give us all these lies, the lies of the
• 21:16
  enemy, the roaring lion. That's all he is.
• 21:19
  And he lies and he lies and he is the Father of lies.
• 21:22
  And if we'll latch on to 1 lie, He'll lead us off.
• 21:27
  And He can't snatch you out of God's hands, but He sure can get
• 21:32
  you to make a mess out of your testimony.
• 21:36
  And as people look upon your life and they see that your life
• 21:39
  doesn't look any different than the sinful, carnal minded
• 21:46
  person, then you have lost your witness in this world.
• 21:51
  But today you can have that. Today you can stiff arm all of
• 21:57
  sin and self repent, turn back to the Lord, confess that you've
• 22:03
  got it wrong. Come under the yoke of the Lord
• 22:07
  Jesus Christ. Allow him to be your Master.
• 22:12
  Allow him to be your King and allow him to lead you home,
• 22:18
  friends, from glory to glory, live unto God. 11 Likewise
• 22:28
  reckon you also yourselves to be dead, indeed unto sin, but alive
• 22:34
  unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
• 22:38
  He's saying, go ahead and tell yourself, and to make sure that
• 22:44
  you know that you are dead and you do not have to sin.
• 22:48
  That is willful disobedience. To know what to do and to not do
• 22:55
  it is sin, friends, and there is different convictions for
• 23:00
  different people along the path. And that is a hard lesson to
• 23:04
  learn because we think that the things that He's revealed to us,
• 23:10
  He ought to reveal to others. But they are in the same boat
• 23:13
  looking back at us, friends. And you just need to know, as
• 23:17
  the Holy Spirit reveals, what you ought to do, you must obey
• 23:21
  those things. And if you do not, that is
• 23:24
  willful disobedience, which is sin, friends.
• 23:28
  And what we need to do is we need to sit, be still, listen
• 23:33
  for the still small voice, get into His word, read the Word and
• 23:38
  allow the words to wash over your mind and to renew your
• 23:42
  minds, friends. And He will be pleased to reveal
• 23:45
  to you the will that He has for your life, specifically,
• 23:49
  individually for you, and corporately as a whole for all
• 23:52
  of the capital C Church, the ecclesia called out ones.
• 23:57
  And we will be congruent and of one mind and 1 accord, because
• 24:01
  there's one spirit, friends, and we'll have the mind of Christ,
• 24:06
  and we'll be able to bring about the harvest that he is after. 12
• 24:15
  Let not sin, therefore reign in your mortal body.
• 24:20
  You should obey it in the lust thereof.
• 24:25
  Far be it from us to allow idols into this temple.
• 24:30
  There are a lot of Christians who are in love with the culture
• 24:35
  and they are watering down the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ
• 24:39
  and they are allowing the carnal pleasures into the temple and
• 24:46
  they have made the temple a den of thieves.
• 24:50
  They have made the temple a marketplace to sell and to buy,
• 24:57
  and they have pushed out the court of prayer and they are not
• 25:03
  actually doing what the Lord has asked them to do.
• 25:08
  And they are paying grievously for it.
• 25:11
  They are paying dearly for it. And it is manifesting itself in
• 25:16
  the relationships that they have with their community, with their
• 25:20
  family, with their children, with their pastors, with their
• 25:27
  boss, employers, employees. It's manifesting itself in the
• 25:32
  toxic relationships, in the negative.
• 25:38
  And you see it, friends, it's like cancer and it grows.
• 25:43
  And until we cut that cancer out, until we consecrate our
• 25:47
  temples, until we allow the Holy Spirit to rule and reign and
• 25:52
  take every thought captive, and for us to be renewed by the Word
• 25:59
  of God in every single moment of every single day, we will
• 26:04
  continue to feel the effects of a life that is not completely
• 26:10
  sold out to Him. Somebody that is has
• 26:13
  compartmentalized and has different personalities on
• 26:18
  different days around different people groups.
• 26:21
  We are not congruent and sold out to Him.
• 26:24
  And if we are ashamed of the gospel and we're ashamed of our
• 26:28
  salvation and we're ashamed of the Lord Jesus Christ, you're
• 26:32
  going to see that friends play out in every single one of your
• 26:36
  relationships. We must be laid down, lovers of
• 26:40
  the Lord Jesus Christ, the King of kings and the Lord of Lords.
• 26:44
  We cannot let hypocrisy and duplicity win the day.
• 26:49
  We must speak up for Christ. We must be found putting on the
• 26:55
  full armor of God and going out into all the world to tell every
• 27:01
  single man, woman and child about the good news of the Lord
• 27:05
  Jesus Christ and what He has done for us and what He has done
• 27:09
  for them. 13 Neither yield your members as instruments of
• 27:19
  unrighteousness unto sin, but yield yourselves unto God as
• 27:27
  those that are alive from the dead, and your members as
• 27:31
  instruments of righteousness unto God.
• 27:35
  We were once dead in our trespasses, but God, he raised
• 27:39
  us back from death into life. And you were once blind, but now
• 27:45
  you can see. You were once deaf, but now you
• 27:47
  can hear. Your heart was hardened, but now
• 27:51
  it is soft. Friends, you were once so
• 27:55
  completely debased with a reprobate mind, but God, he came
• 28:02
  in and He gave you a new heart, and He gave you a new mind, and
• 28:06
  He put His Holy Spirit inside of you, and now you are His, and
• 28:11
  you are marked by Him. And we could never go back into
• 28:15
  that sinful life. We must yield unto Him every
• 28:20
  moment of every day. We must yield to Him every
• 28:24
  second. We must yield to Him every
• 28:26
  heartbeat. We must yield to Him every word.
• 28:29
  We must yield to Him every action.
• 28:32
  We must yield to Him every deed. We don't get a day off, friends.
• 28:42
  We go to war for the Lord Jesus Christ.
• 28:47
  He is worthy, worthy, Worthy is the Lamb. 14 For sin shall not
• 28:55
  have dominion over you. You are not under the law, but
• 29:00
  under grace. When you understand that you are
• 29:04
  under grace, the law has no power over you.
• 29:07
  It has been completely fulfilled.
• 29:09
  You can love God with all your heart, with all your mind, with
• 29:12
  all your strength. You can love your neighbor as
• 29:14
  yourself. His yoke is easy, His burden is
• 29:17
  light. There is no strife, friends.
• 29:20
  There's no lack, friends. There's the fullness available
• 29:23
  to you when you have grace. Every sin that you have ever
• 29:27
  committed, are committing, or will ever commit is under the
• 29:30
  blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. And you have the conviction.
• 29:34
  And the conviction tells you, hey, let's get back in the game.
• 29:37
  That was a bad play, but ask for forgiveness.
• 29:40
  Confess those things and be forgiven.
• 29:43
  Receive your forgiveness and receive sanctification and
• 29:47
  continue to be made more like Christ every single day. 15 What
• 29:58
  then? Shall we sin because we're not
• 30:04
  under the law, but under grace, God forbid.
• 30:11
  Here again, Paul asks A redundant question and he wants
• 30:16
  you to understand it. He repeats this same redundancy
• 30:21
  because he wants you to understand how futile this
• 30:25
  thought process is. This is the carnal mind working
• 30:29
  out. This is the unregenerated mind
• 30:31
  working out. This is the person who's trying
• 30:34
  to work their way into heaven. They think that by getting
• 30:37
  dunked in water and having a little Jingle of a prayer prayed
• 30:40
  over them and walking an aisle is going to save them.
• 30:43
  And all they want is a release from from the pitfalls of
• 30:47
  Hellfire. And they do not actually want a
• 30:50
  relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ because they don't want
• 30:53
  to have to obey the things that he tells them to do.
• 30:55
  Because they see this book as a list of rules.
• 31:00
  And it is not until you fall in love with the Lord Jesus Christ
• 31:03
  that you understand the word of God to be an entire book of
• 31:08
  promises to you, friends. And He promises you life and
• 31:12
  life eternal both here and there, friends, both now and
• 31:17
  forever more. He promises you that He will be
• 31:20
  with you when you go through the waters.
• 31:26
  God forbid we should send all the more so that grace can
• 31:31
  abound. 16 Know you not that to whom you yield yourself servants
• 31:37
  to obey His servants, you are to whom you obey, whether of sin
• 31:44
  unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness.
• 31:49
  That's what he's trying to tell us right there.
• 31:51
  He's saying whoever you obey is your master.
• 31:55
  If you obey sin, it will lead to death.
• 31:58
  If you obey Christ, then He will give you His righteousness, and
• 32:02
  you can stand before Almighty God one day, not from anything
• 32:07
  that you have ever done, but because of everything that He
• 32:10
  did on the cross. Frames 17.

  But God be thanked that you were the servants of sin, But you
• 32:19
  have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was
