- 0:00Speaker 1: And now move the sticks with Daniel, Jeremiah and Bucky Brooks.
- 0:06Speaker 2: What's up, everybody, walcome move the sticks, DJ, Bucky, Rhett
- 0:09Speaker 2: back with you as we get a chance to look
- 0:11Speaker 2: back at a couple of Monday nighters and have some
- 0:14Speaker 2: some rookie discussions as we do each and every week
- 0:17Speaker 2: here on the show. Buck, what what level of surprise
- 0:20Speaker 2: do you have that Ret's not wearing Indiana gear right now?
- 0:24Speaker 3: I'm really I'm really surprised because, like between this, there
- 0:27Speaker 3: are a couple of things that I can count on
- 0:28Speaker 3: for both of you guys. October is full of optimism
- 0:32Speaker 3: when it comes to IU basketball. Oh wow, Yes, a
- 0:36Speaker 3: lot of optimism. There's a lot of stuff that, like
- 0:39Speaker 3: I'm here about early in October, November, December, it begins
- 0:43Speaker 3: to fade and by Jade.
- 0:44Speaker 2: We're in the chat. Look at the chat. Look at chat, Buck,
- 0:46Speaker 2: look at the chat.
- 0:47Speaker 1: We got this thing going on. What's the status? What
- 0:51Speaker 1: do I need to know about this rivalry?
- 0:54Speaker 2: So here's this is all you need to know here,
- 0:56Speaker 2: this is what you need do. So the team that
- 0:58Speaker 2: Bucky was a fan of his whole life, having grown
- 1:00Speaker 2: up in the South, we're getting ready to knock them
- 1:02Speaker 2: out in this wild card round the Braves, and then
- 1:04Speaker 2: we're going to go to the adopted team that Buck
- 1:06Speaker 2: picked up, as you know, just like, hey, I guess
- 1:09Speaker 2: I'll just be I guess I'll just be a Dodger
- 1:10Speaker 2: fan now. And then we're going to knock them out
- 1:13Speaker 2: and then we're gonna have our hands full, probably with
- 1:15Speaker 2: the Phillies. So that's kind of what I never.
- 1:17Speaker 3: I never liked the Braves because all of my friends
- 1:19Speaker 3: like the Braves, and so I was always counterculture. Yeah, never,
- 1:24Speaker 3: I never. I never got into the breaks. Okay, all right,
- 1:28Speaker 3: so that's where we are, baseball.
- 1:29Speaker 4: Let me know what I need to watch that. Appreciate,
- 1:31Speaker 4: appreciate you guys. Keep up.
- 1:33Speaker 2: Hey, you want to come on down? You want to
- 1:35Speaker 2: come down for some playoff baseball down to the same Diego.
- 1:37Speaker 2: I got a ticket for you anytime you want, Buddy,
- 1:39Speaker 2: that's wow.
- 1:40Speaker 1: That's quite an offer. If you can give you a
- 1:42Speaker 1: car service for the next four four hour, four hour
- 1:46Speaker 1: trip one way.
- 1:47Speaker 2: Well, and I'm saving Bucky's invite until we get to
- 1:50Speaker 2: the NLCS. Once you know the Dodgers are done and
- 1:52Speaker 2: his interest is Wayne, I'll get hit Bucky down here
- 1:54Speaker 2: and we'll get him to a playoff.
- 1:55Speaker 4: Wow.
- 1:56Speaker 2: All right, yes, that's a pretty good deal. Everybody wins here.
- 2:00Speaker 3: Yeah, we'll see, we'll see what it looks like.
- 2:02Speaker 2: All right, let's let's get to the doubleheader last night.
- 2:04Speaker 2: By the way, was it not? Was it not accurate?
- 2:07Speaker 2: When we previewed these two games, we spent all that
- 2:09Speaker 2: time talking about the Seahawks Lions, and when we were
- 2:11Speaker 2: looking forward to it, fantastic game, I mean, just a
- 2:14Speaker 2: track meet, unbelievable plays, high energy. And then I tried
- 2:19Speaker 2: to get you guys to sell me on h on
- 2:21Speaker 2: the other game with the O was terrible, that the
- 2:26Speaker 2: was terrible.
- 2:28Speaker 1: I gave you the I gave Will Levis and the
- 2:31Speaker 1: Titans the blueprint. I said, just mayo quarterbacks, decisions made
- 2:36Speaker 1: with good discernment. And here you go, it wasn't him possession, bang, interception,
- 2:41Speaker 1: and then he gets hurt and then and then it's
- 2:44Speaker 1: it's our it's our guy.
- 2:45Speaker 4: Mason Rudolf.
- 2:47Speaker 2: Ran after the drafts Mason Rudolph, that's right, that's right.
- 2:51Speaker 1: While we're just on that game here real quick, Well,
- 2:54Speaker 1: why is it that it's been so hard, you guys
- 2:57Speaker 1: think for the Dolphins to find success running the football,
- 3:00Speaker 1: whereas that has been a hallmark of what they've done offensively,
- 3:03Speaker 1: finding those explosive runs.
- 3:05Speaker 4: And you know, now when they really need them, they
- 3:08Speaker 4: can't seem to squeeze some of those out.
- 3:10Speaker 1: What have you guys seen from the Dolphins run game
- 3:13Speaker 1: that that's just kind of been non existent thus far.
- 3:17Speaker 2: I think two things. I think when it comes to
- 3:18Speaker 2: the run game, You know, you have to be better
- 3:22Speaker 2: than people up front. That's one way obviously you get
- 3:24Speaker 2: it done. You just flat out better than everybody number
- 3:27Speaker 2: one or number two. You have the threat of the pass,
- 3:29Speaker 2: especially downfield that you're going to be able to scare
- 3:32Speaker 2: safeties out of there. They don't really have either. And
- 3:35Speaker 2: to be honest with you, if you look at all
- 3:36Speaker 2: the defensive metrics for the Tennessee Titans, they're really really good.
- 3:40Speaker 2: Up from Cavandre Sweat's playing good. I mean, they've got
- 3:43Speaker 2: they've got a really good group there. So I give
- 3:48Speaker 2: it's gosh, who is it Wilson? Who is their DC? Yes?
- 3:53Speaker 2: It had been with the Eagles. Yeah, And dude, give
- 3:56Speaker 2: Dinard a lot of love and a lot of credit
- 3:58Speaker 2: because that defense is really really good.
- 4:01Speaker 3: Yeah, that I am surprised at the Dolphins, Right, So
- 4:04Speaker 3: it's always a team that we fall in love with.
- 4:06Speaker 3: We love the bells and whistles that they had. We
- 4:08Speaker 3: talked about the speed factor in those things, and we
- 4:11Speaker 3: have always kind of I would say, said that two
- 4:15Speaker 3: was overrated because of the weapons around him. We're seeing
- 4:18Speaker 3: that when you remove him, this offense doesn't operate the
- 4:21Speaker 3: same without, which may validate Chris Greer and those other
- 4:28Speaker 3: guys for paying him and why they see him as
- 4:30Speaker 3: a QB one when everyone on the outside is like,
- 4:32Speaker 3: oh man, they can get anybody to do it. It
- 4:35Speaker 3: looks he's a Jenga piece. It doesn't work without Tua
- 4:39Speaker 3: as the quarterback. And it's crazy to think that the team,
- 4:41Speaker 3: as talented as they are on the perimeter cannot exist
- 4:45Speaker 3: without the starting quarterback.
- 4:47Speaker 2: How about Rhett on the other side of it. You know,
- 4:50Speaker 2: Mason Rudolph, He's gonna have a job forever, Like if
- 4:54Speaker 2: you prove that you're competent in these short spurts, which
- 4:56Speaker 2: he's done now at a couple of.
- 4:58Speaker 1: Times Steelers last year, right, he just kept paying. I
- 5:02Speaker 1: wonder how long the Titans hang on. I know that
- 5:04Speaker 1: I know Brian Kalahan. Callahan has said that, you know,
- 5:07Speaker 1: Will Levis is still one hundred percent to quarterback, and
- 5:10Speaker 1: he'll go if he's one hundred percent.
- 5:11Speaker 4: But I mean, if you can get it done.
- 5:14Speaker 1: With run game and really good defense and competent quarterback play,
- 5:17Speaker 1: it doesn't turn.
- 5:17Speaker 4: The ball over. What do you I mean, what do
- 5:20Speaker 4: you think?
- 5:21Speaker 1: I wouldn't be surprised if they kind of kept that
- 5:23Speaker 1: thing in there going that way.
- 5:25Speaker 2: Yeah. I mean, look, it's still you've invested in Levis
- 5:28Speaker 2: just in terms of the of the Capitol, and he
- 5:31Speaker 2: has had some decent moments. It's just really been the
- 5:33Speaker 2: two or three boneheaded plays that he makes. Yeah, he's
- 5:36Speaker 2: just got to clean that up. And I think that
- 5:37Speaker 2: comes more playing. I don't think they're going to throw
- 5:39Speaker 2: him away at this point in time. But no, I
- 5:43Speaker 2: was singing of it more buck. Just from the standpoint
- 5:45Speaker 2: of man, some of these teams like they just get caught,
- 5:49Speaker 2: their starter goes down. Coming off of a year where
- 5:51Speaker 2: we had whatever sixty six sixty seven quarterbacks that played,
- 5:55Speaker 2: it's just hard. I'm not picking on Skyler Thompson, but
- 5:57Speaker 2: it's just hard to believe that you're a team with
- 5:59Speaker 2: champion Chip aspirations like the Dolphins had, and knowing Tua's
- 6:04Speaker 2: injury history, that that that was your plan and then okay,
- 6:08Speaker 2: so then that's gone. So now we go to the
- 6:10Speaker 2: like we're scrambling. Now we're in a scrambled so it's
- 6:14Speaker 2: just like we're going to try and go on this
- 6:15Speaker 2: whole carousel. It just seems to me like there should
- 6:18Speaker 2: have been more foresight there to have more of a
- 6:20Speaker 2: plan in place. I'm just going by what I saw
- 6:23Speaker 2: Joe Flacco do with the Indianapolis Colts and going, you know,
- 6:26Speaker 2: if you're a team with championship asp rations, you need
- 6:28Speaker 2: to do like that waiting in the wings if he
- 6:30Speaker 2: has to get out there and play.
- 6:32Speaker 3: DJ It's one of the things that I never understand
- 6:34Speaker 3: why you won't pay significant money for a quality backup.
- 6:37Speaker 3: It's a position that should be regarded as the twenty
- 6:40Speaker 3: third starter on the team, and I know some teams
- 6:42Speaker 3: treated as such. But when you lose your starting quarterback,
- 6:45Speaker 3: if you don't have a legitimate player, your season is
- 6:48Speaker 3: up in smokes smoke. And so for me, the Dolphins,
- 6:52Speaker 3: particularly with Tua who has had injury history, concussions, in
- 6:56Speaker 3: those things, you would think that they would have paid
- 6:58Speaker 3: a premium have a starting caliber quarterback in the fold
- 7:02Speaker 3: ready to go if he's not there. To me, that's mismanagement, coaching,
- 7:06Speaker 3: front office, whatever it is. That should have been a
- 7:08Speaker 3: priority at all times. I have a quarterback that is
- 7:11Speaker 3: ready to go.
- 7:12Speaker 2: Yeah, that was my takeaway there.
- 7:14Speaker 3: Let's let's preshow is available maybe.
- 7:19Speaker 4: Right by the way I did Russell Wilson.
- 7:22Speaker 2: Yeah, you know that that's a popular one too. You
- 7:24Speaker 2: see his name kicked around. I saw Davante Adams name
- 7:27Speaker 2: kicked around on the old innerwebs this morning. That that
- 7:30Speaker 2: stuff's kicking back up.
- 7:31Speaker 1: So yeah, Tony Pierce liked an Instagram post or something
- 7:36Speaker 1: that said that Davante has probably played his last game.
- 7:39Speaker 4: As a Raider. Really yeah, I saw that go out
- 7:44Speaker 4: there today.
- 7:44Speaker 1: And then apparently, you know, Davante and Antonio Pears haven't
- 7:47Speaker 1: spoken since that was discovered.
- 7:49Speaker 3: So I mean, let's let's be real. I get I
- 7:54Speaker 3: don't know if you guys had an opportunity to watch
- 7:56Speaker 3: Receiver on Netflix, it certainly didn't put Devanta yeah in
- 8:01Speaker 3: a good light. And when you think about like culture
- 8:04Speaker 3: and chemistry and what you're trying to build, if you're
- 8:06Speaker 3: Antonio Peers. You need all your veterans helping you pull
- 8:10Speaker 3: it in the right direction. It doesn't seem like Devanta
- 8:13Speaker 3: Adams wants to play nice in the sandbox. So I
- 8:15Speaker 3: wouldn't be surprised to see a moved. I know the
- 8:17Speaker 3: deadline has always been the target date, but what are
- 8:20Speaker 3: we waiting on? Why?
- 8:21Speaker 4: Wait?
- 8:22Speaker 2: Yeah? Do you remember, by the way, do you guys
- 8:25Speaker 2: remember before the season started when I said that Rock
- 8:29Speaker 2: Bauers would be the best player on their offense and
- 8:33Speaker 2: people lost their minds. The Davante Adams folks lost their minds.
- 8:38Speaker 2: And I'm sitting here going, that's the future, that's who
- 8:40Speaker 2: they're going to build around. And yeah, that just float around.
- 8:44Speaker 2: So I don't know how much we put into that,
- 8:46Speaker 2: whether that's legit or not. It's definitely fascinating, and don't
- 8:50Speaker 2: I wouldn't bad n eye if they did. I could
- 8:52Speaker 2: make a strong case that the Raiders are Everything that
- 8:54Speaker 2: they do this year should be aimed towards next year,
- 8:57Speaker 2: even though they find themselves too and two. Yeah, so man,
- 9:00Speaker 2: we'll see there. All right, let's get onto this other game.
- 9:02Speaker 2: This was the fun one buck Lions Seahawks Jared Goff
- 9:06Speaker 2: the Perfect Game eighteen for eighteen caught a touchdown as well.
- 9:10Speaker 2: Jamison Williams got loose. This was kind of like the
- 9:14Speaker 2: full like they have those air shows, you know, like
- 9:17Speaker 2: you go and it's like, hey, this is all the
- 9:18Speaker 2: different you know, look at all the different planes, look
- 9:19Speaker 2: at all the different things that we have at our disposal.
- 9:22Speaker 2: This was an air show. This was them just showing
- 9:24Speaker 2: off all the different ways that the Detroit Lions can
- 9:26Speaker 2: score points.
- 9:27Speaker 3: Man, it's so fun to watch this offense. Heads off
- 9:32Speaker 3: to Ben Johnson tar Heel for being able to get
- 9:34Speaker 3: you off point and doing all the creative stuff that
- 9:36Speaker 3: you want to see. But man, like you love being
- 9:40Speaker 3: able to look back at your draft notes and say,
- 9:43Speaker 3: oh yeah, I might have been okay. On display, Jamison
- 9:45Speaker 3: Williams James and Williams catches dead diagonal coming across the
- 9:49Speaker 3: field and I mean it is like a four by
- 9:53Speaker 3: one given to him in exchange on zoom and the
- 9:57Speaker 3: Lions being able to kind of put the pieces of
- 10:00Speaker 3: the puzzle together offensively. So you got a marras Saint Brown,
- 10:02Speaker 3: you didn't have Jameison Williams. They pick up Tim Patrick,
- 10:05Speaker 3: you know, to bring him in. He's not the speaker
- 10:07Speaker 3: that he was, but another big, sturdy receiver that they.
- 10:11Speaker 2: Can go to.
- 10:12Speaker 3: And they just have a unique ability to play with
- 10:15Speaker 3: finesse or force. They can throw it around the yard
- 10:17Speaker 3: when they want to, but when the game gets hairy,
- 10:19Speaker 3: they can hand it to either one of those backs.
- 10:21Speaker 3: And oh, by the way, I didn't know David David
- 10:24Speaker 3: Montgomery had a hit stick that he can absorb big
- 10:26Speaker 3: blows and people and go through stuff. And him and
- 10:29Speaker 3: Jami Gibbs are more similar than different in terms of
- 10:33Speaker 3: the ability to get a space and create man Brad
- 10:36Speaker 3: Holmes in that front office and Dan Campbell, the way
- 10:39Speaker 3: they've taken the talent and put it in positions to
- 10:43Speaker 3: succeed on offense is amazing. It is a fun team
- 10:47Speaker 3: to watch because they have all the stuff that you
- 10:49Speaker 3: want to like look, pay money to go see, while
- 10:52Speaker 3: also having the old school stuff that you got to
- 10:55Speaker 3: have to win at the highest level.
- 10:56Speaker 4: And look, I think you know.
- 10:58Speaker 1: I talked about it as we were previewing this game,
- 11:00Speaker 1: like I felt like this was one of those games
- 11:02Speaker 1: where you still wanted to see some of that grit
- 11:04Speaker 1: and some of that physicality and in the run game
- 11:06Speaker 1: from the Lions, and yeah, Jared Goff went eighteen for eighteen,
- 11:08Speaker 1: and they had some of those explosive plays. But j
- 11:11Speaker 1: Where Gibbs went for seventy eight, Montgomery went for forty
- 11:13Speaker 1: and then caught that that ball that went for forty
- 11:16Speaker 1: that was insane too, that you're talking about with the
- 11:18Speaker 1: hit stick.
- 11:19Speaker 4: I still think that, like, even though.
- 11:20Speaker 1: They are they can be so explosive with you know,
- 11:24Speaker 1: you know, Laporta went had one to go for thirty,
- 11:27Speaker 1: Jameson Williams for seventy, Tim Patrick had won for twenty nine.
- 11:31Speaker 1: They picked up off the scrap heap, right, They've got
- 11:33Speaker 1: that explosive ability. But I think when you're rooted in
- 11:37Speaker 1: that toughness and you're rooted in that physicality, man, it
- 11:40Speaker 1: makes you so much more dangerous. Because we've seen now
- 11:43Speaker 1: you can you know, you can say what you want
- 11:44Speaker 1: about the teams that the Seahawks have beaten to start
- 11:47Speaker 1: out three to zero, but I think that Mike McDonald
- 11:49Speaker 1: defense is playing some good ball out there, and they
- 11:51Speaker 1: got some really good players. But the fact that they
- 11:55Speaker 1: had trouble dealing with all the different ways that the
- 11:58Speaker 1: Lions can attack, I think says something about the staying
- 12:02Speaker 1: power of this Lion's offense and the different ways that
- 12:05Speaker 1: they can.
- 12:05Speaker 2: Get after it. I'll get you one point on the line,
- 12:07Speaker 2: and then I'll get over to the Seahawks. But you
- 12:09Speaker 2: guys talking about Jamison Williams pulled up his report. Tall, lean, explosive,
- 12:13Speaker 2: wide out. Everything he does on the field is sudden
- 12:15Speaker 2: and fast. Flies off the line in his release. Just
- 12:17Speaker 2: when you think he's reached top speed, he can tap
- 12:19Speaker 2: a gear that very few possess. Turns quick hitters into
- 12:22Speaker 2: long touchdowns and climbs on top of coverage. In every
- 12:25Speaker 2: game viewed at his best on runaway routes, but flashes
- 12:28Speaker 2: the ability to get in out of breaks. Hands are inconsistent, though,
- 12:31Speaker 2: Let's too many balls into his body that results in
- 12:33Speaker 2: drops after the catch. Williams destroys pursuit angles with his speed.
- 12:38Speaker 2: His production as a gunner on the punt team speaks
- 12:40Speaker 2: to his competitiveness. Had a torn acl and the college
- 12:42Speaker 2: football playoff, but once healthy, could emerge as one of
- 12:45Speaker 2: the premier deep threats in the NFL. But I mean,
- 12:48Speaker 2: that's what it is. He needed to get healthy and
- 12:50Speaker 2: he needed to kind of find his Niche find his
- 12:52Speaker 2: role in an offense It's got a lot of really
- 12:54Speaker 2: stellar pieces, and I think they're kind of figuring out
- 12:57Speaker 2: how to deploy him and how to use him. So
- 13:00Speaker 2: good development there. I mean, look go ahead, Red.
- 13:02Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 13:03Speaker 1: No, I was just going to say, and I don't want
- 13:04Speaker 1: to end that conversation quickly, but before we left this game,
- 13:07Speaker 1: I was going to say, kind of.
- 13:08Speaker 4: Similarly, on the other side, now that.
- 13:10Speaker 1: Kenneth Walker's back healthy, I think you're seeing the different
- 13:12Speaker 1: ways that Gino Smith and the Seahawks offense can really
- 13:15Speaker 1: get after it too. Because Walker took over that game
- 13:17Speaker 1: in the second half. He was incredible with those three
- 13:20Speaker 1: touchdowns in the way that you know he's got a
- 13:23Speaker 1: great combination we saw at Michigan State and that one
- 13:26Speaker 1: year right after transferring in from Wake, Like, he's.
- 13:28Speaker 4: Got that physicality but also.
- 13:32Speaker 1: That game breaking speed that can get you, you know,
- 13:35Speaker 1: turn six into into sixty or you know, turn eight
- 13:38Speaker 1: into twenty eight pretty quickly. And you saw him reverse
- 13:41Speaker 1: field on that one touchdown and out run the rest
- 13:43Speaker 1: of the defense. I thought, that's going to give the Seahawks,
- 13:45Speaker 1: if you could stay healthy, a big piece moving forward.
- 13:48Speaker 3: Yeah, And I would say this about the Seahawks in
- 13:50Speaker 3: a game to turn into a track meet where maybe
- 13:53Speaker 3: you wanted if they could go and kind of play
- 13:55Speaker 3: that style. Really impressed in the ability to flip the switch.
- 13:58Speaker 3: And I would say it wasn't their best night, but
- 14:01Speaker 3: the fact that they could go score for score against
- 14:04Speaker 3: the Detroit Lions really bowls well for how they could
- 14:07Speaker 3: finish up down the stretch. Really explosive offense. We know
- 14:10Speaker 3: the defense is gonna be right because Mike McDonald does
- 14:12Speaker 3: a great job defensively. But I would be encouraged if
- 14:17Speaker 3: I am the coaching staff looking at how the offense
- 14:20Speaker 3: performed against what I think is one of the teams
- 14:23Speaker 3: just the class of the NFC. I think the Seattle
- 14:25Speaker 3: Seahawks certainly acquitted themselves.
- 14:26Speaker 2: Well, no, that's where I was going to go, guys,
- 14:29Speaker 2: You guys got me. I mean, that's exactly right game. No, No,
- 14:32Speaker 2: that was just I came away from this game on
- 14:34Speaker 2: the Seahawks side of things, and I feel like we've
- 14:36Speaker 2: said this, We said this about Buffalo after their loss
- 14:38Speaker 2: to the Ravens, Like I think nothing less of the
- 14:42Speaker 2: Seahawks coming out of that game. I came away saying, Okay,
- 14:45Speaker 2: you're gonna find yourself in a shootout. Geno can go
- 14:47Speaker 2: toe to toe with the most explosive offenses in this league.
- 14:50Speaker 2: If not for to be honest to DK fumbling and
- 14:53Speaker 2: then a non PI call that was pretty egregious on DK.
- 14:58Speaker 2: There's a couple there's you know, like like any NFL game,
- 15:00Speaker 2: there's two or three plays you can say this changes
- 15:03Speaker 2: the outcome. But more more so than that, you just
- 15:06Speaker 2: eye test wise, Seattle belonged on the field with Detroit,
- 15:09Speaker 2: and Detroit's team I picked to win the NFC, and
- 15:11Speaker 2: Seattle didn't look out of place at all. So I comeboy,
- 15:15Speaker 2: pretty encouraged if you're on the Seahawks side of things.
- 15:17Speaker 2: In that defense, that was just a buzzsall they ran into.
- 15:19Speaker 2: There was nothing you could do to slow down the
- 15:21Speaker 2: Lions on a day like that one. All right, let's
- 15:23Speaker 2: say quick break, we come back. We'll get to the
- 15:24Speaker 2: rookie draft recap, show you where we stand in h
- 15:28Speaker 2: and pick some players for week five. Right after this.
- 15:35Speaker 2: All right, we're back rookies, time for the rookie Draft.
- 15:38Speaker 2: Let's look back first before we look forward off of
- 15:41Speaker 2: last week. Buck Man, you're a rolling right now. You
- 15:45Speaker 2: got six points because you ended up with with Jane Daniels.
- 15:48Speaker 2: He got your points obviously, BTJ, huge game for him,
- 15:52Speaker 2: Brian Thomas Junior or your home team. And then you
- 15:55Speaker 2: went Coleman who got you? He won that? He won
- 16:00Speaker 2: that one to cheese. Buck, you had a you had
- 16:02Speaker 2: a really good week. Uh yeah, I don't know how
- 16:06Speaker 2: he had more points than Bowers didn't get much.
- 16:10Speaker 3: Hey, we scoring touch was scoring touchdown. They had a
- 16:12Speaker 3: chance to you know, I think those guys look close
- 16:14Speaker 3: to the last couple of weeks. I had a chance
- 16:16Speaker 3: to see Kevin in pre game. Give him a little peptal.
- 16:19Speaker 3: Hey man, Yeah, we gotta get this thing going BTJA
- 16:23Speaker 3: my fantasy team, we gotta get going.
- 16:25Speaker 2: Yeah, neighbors. Neighbors got me some points though, so that
- 16:28Speaker 2: was good. So I ended up Bucky had six points,
- 16:30Speaker 2: I had four, Rett two. So when we look at
- 16:32Speaker 2: the season total, BUCkies in first place with twenty on
- 16:35Speaker 2: behind him with seventeen, and Reht's got some work to
- 16:37Speaker 2: do at eleven. But the good news Reht is it's
- 16:40Speaker 2: a long season. You've got plenty of time here, plenty
- 16:43Speaker 2: of time. You haven't found your guy yet. Normally Red
- 16:46Speaker 2: it's a guy that he kind of rides that Horse
- 16:48Speaker 2: all the way through. He hasn't found that guy yet.
- 16:50Speaker 2: But today we've got Bucky rhtt than myself for the
- 16:54Speaker 2: draft order. Keep in mind, Lions, Chargers, Eagles, and Titans
- 16:57Speaker 2: are on buys. I don't think that's going to impact
- 16:59Speaker 2: us at all. So maybe, yeah, mconachie, that's about it.
- 17:04Speaker 2: Go ahead, Buck, what do you want to do?
- 17:05Speaker 3: Here?
- 17:05Speaker 2: You go? Ja and Daniels.
- 17:09Speaker 3: I'm locked. I'm locked in. Yeah, Daniels for life.
- 17:13Speaker 1: Daniels, how did you have him last week and not
- 17:16Speaker 1: have the number one pick.
- 17:19Speaker 2: That I maybe I went neighbors first, but technically technically
- 17:22Speaker 2: I was not there. But I believe those were my
- 17:24Speaker 2: instructions to the biles, So I have to take that.
- 17:26Speaker 2: I have to take that.
- 17:29Speaker 4: Yeah, give me neighbors. Give me neighbors. Even though you
- 17:33Speaker 4: know they got the Giants.
- 17:34Speaker 1: Going up against the Seahawks defense and they got to
- 17:36Speaker 1: make the cross country trip.
- 17:38Speaker 4: I think neighbors talent travels.
- 17:41Speaker 2: All right, I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go with my
- 17:44Speaker 2: back to backers here. I'm gonna go Marvin Harrison and
- 17:46Speaker 2: you're in Brock Bowers. I feel like this is like
- 17:48Speaker 2: the same guys that end up going every week.
- 17:51Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, that's all right. That's that's where we're at
- 17:53Speaker 1: until somebody emerges. Okay, it's on back. I feel like
- 17:58Speaker 1: I gotta go exave your worthy here, guys, I gotta
- 18:01Speaker 1: go now that where she Rice is out, does Worthy
- 18:04Speaker 1: step into a bigger role at home against the Saints
- 18:07Speaker 1: trying to stay undefeated and give me a four two
- 18:09Speaker 1: to one speed all right?
- 18:13Speaker 2: All right, we buck you get back to backers.
- 18:15Speaker 3: Look if it a bro, don't don't fix it. So
- 18:17Speaker 3: we're gonna go with the same team all over again. Yeah, Jay,
- 18:22Speaker 3: we're gonna go with both of those guys. Win a team,
- 18:24Speaker 3: don't mess up the combination. We're gonna keep riding the
- 18:27Speaker 3: hot hands, all right, go ahead, I.
- 18:31Speaker 1: Gotta find a quarterback here. I mean, I'm gonna go
- 18:36Speaker 1: kleb at home as opposed. I mean like, at least
- 18:39Speaker 1: we're pushing the ball down the field that you come.
- 18:40Speaker 3: We're inspired by the Denver offense last week.
- 18:43Speaker 4: I mean, in them on soon. I get it, but
- 18:46Speaker 4: look that could surprise we shall see. I'll take Caleb.
- 18:49Speaker 2: So you got Bob huh, Yeah, I got Bo next.
- 18:51Speaker 2: That wraps us up there, all right, all right, I
- 18:53Speaker 2: just feel like, man, it just keeps falling Bucky's way.
- 18:55Speaker 2: I just it does. The draft is falling his way.
- 19:00Speaker 2: So we'll see if we can make a dent. We've
- 19:02Speaker 2: got to catch up here. I think Bowers has got
- 19:04Speaker 2: a big, big game coming here soon. Gosh, they gotta
- 19:06Speaker 2: give him a ball more. All right, that's gonna do it
- 19:10Speaker 2: for us today, guys, you have anything else you want
- 19:11Speaker 2: to add before we jump out? Here was a quick episode.
- 19:13Speaker 2: I do want to remind everybody we do have Luke
- 19:16Speaker 2: Keikley coming on the show next. We've ben lookout for
- 19:19Speaker 2: that for that pod.
- 19:21Speaker 5: But anything else you want to do here go ahead,
- 19:23Speaker 5: USC Minnesota, USC Minnesota this week from Minneapolis, So another
- 19:27Speaker 5: chance to check out Miller Moss, who.
- 19:31Speaker 4: Of course will be a draft eligible quarterback this year.
- 19:34Speaker 2: He won't come out, No chance, he won't come out.
- 19:37Speaker 3: Guy.
- 19:37Speaker 2: His mom was a professor at USC. He's loved us
- 19:41Speaker 2: like to.
- 19:42Speaker 3: He graduated undergrad like two years ago, a PhD baby,
- 19:47Speaker 3: really smart guy.
- 19:48Speaker 1: But Jacobe Lane is a guy I'll be keeping my
- 19:49Speaker 1: eye on for sure. Two touchdowns kind of breaking.
- 19:52Speaker 2: True sophomore, right true sophomore, A.
- 19:55Speaker 4: Young young guy. But they're they're they're playing well on
- 19:58Speaker 4: offense right now.
- 20:00Speaker 1: And what he marks is another guy we ought to
- 20:01Speaker 1: have on our list down the line at the running spot,
- 20:04Speaker 1: just to keep an eye on.
- 20:05Speaker 2: Although the other freshman kids or maybe maybe he's a
- 20:07Speaker 2: recher freshman or sophomore joiners got more juice, Yeah, probably
- 20:10Speaker 2: a little bit more. What do you got, Buck?
- 20:14Speaker 3: I mean, look, it's it's postseason baseball time, So I
- 20:17Speaker 3: would just tell everybody make watch the Dodge's not too
- 20:22Speaker 3: late that your showing a tiny Jerseys to kind of
- 20:26Speaker 3: get ready. We normally don't talk a lot about the Dodgers.
- 20:29Speaker 3: You're trying to keep it nice and low key. But
- 20:31Speaker 3: DJ's just kind of bring it up. He's poking the bear.
- 20:34Speaker 3: He's poking the bear. I feel like the translator is
- 20:36Speaker 3: gonna get to Otani and feel like, hey man, we
- 20:38Speaker 3: gotta we gotta take care of this one for Buck
- 20:40Speaker 3: and for Singer. We need to dedicate the postseason to.
- 20:44Speaker 4: Our our guy, David Singer.
- 20:46Speaker 2: Let's go by the way. I don't know, I didn't
- 20:48Speaker 2: I have not studied the language, I'll be honest. So
- 20:50Speaker 2: what what samp? I know what Japanese is for sweep?
- 20:53Speaker 2: Do we know what that? What? That is. I don't know.
- 20:56Speaker 2: I have to find that out because uh, that's what happens,
- 20:59Speaker 2: that's what I will. I'm going to look that up
- 21:02Speaker 2: before the postseasons. But I mean, look, the Docters have
- 21:04Speaker 2: been they've been bounced in the first their first round
- 21:07Speaker 2: the last two years against the divisional team, and that's
- 21:10Speaker 2: probably who they're going to be playing again coming forward here,
- 21:14Speaker 2: So we'll see. It'll be fun looking forward to that.
- 21:15Speaker 2: By the way, before you to be serious for just
- 21:17Speaker 2: a moment, especially with Bucky and myself having spent so
- 21:21Speaker 2: much time in North Carolina. Bucky grew up there, went
- 21:23Speaker 2: to college there. I went to college up in Boone.
- 21:25Speaker 2: It's just been devastated by this hurricane. So just if
- 21:29Speaker 2: you if you're listening to us in that area, we're
- 21:31Speaker 2: thinking about you, we're praying for you, and if you can,
- 21:35Speaker 2: there's lots of avenues you can you can find to
- 21:37Speaker 2: try and donate some money and help because there just
- 21:41Speaker 2: got devastated. If you haven't seen the pictures, it's it's
- 21:44Speaker 2: it's brutal. So having been up in Boone just a
- 21:47Speaker 2: week before and then seeing the devastation a week later
- 21:51Speaker 2: just heartbreaking. So Buck, I know, obviously you've got a
- 21:54Speaker 2: lot of ties to the area there.
- 21:55Speaker 3: Yeah, a lot of ties, a lot of family friends
- 21:58Speaker 3: who have people that live in that area. That area
- 22:00Speaker 3: is obviously kind of resorting when you think about the
- 22:03Speaker 3: buildtmore and all the things that were in Ashville and
- 22:06Speaker 3: in that part of North Carolina. So just praying for
- 22:08Speaker 3: all the folks there. Hopefully they can work their way
- 22:10Speaker 3: through the devastation. But yeah, anything that you can do
- 22:13Speaker 3: to make it better for those folks certainly be greatly appreciate.
- 22:16Speaker 1: Yeah, And I think we just give one final shout
- 22:19Speaker 1: out to our friend and colleague Sarah Walsh, who his
- 22:22Speaker 1: family lives there in clear Water in Florida and you know,
- 22:26Speaker 1: had to evacuate in the middle of the night a
- 22:27Speaker 1: neighbors house caught on fire. I mean, like they've got
- 22:30Speaker 1: dealing with some stuff down there too. And she's out
- 22:32Speaker 1: here in Los Angeles with us this week, going to
- 22:34Speaker 1: host GMFB for the rest of the week. So shout
- 22:37Speaker 1: out to Sarah for continuing to grind while they got
- 22:42Speaker 1: a lot of stuff they're dealing with back there at home,
- 22:44Speaker 1: as are a lot of folks there in Florida as well.
- 22:47Speaker 4: Just a devastating late hurricane season.
- 22:51Speaker 2: No question. Well that's going to do it for us today.
- 22:55Speaker 2: Appreciate you guys hanging with us, and we'll see you
- 22:57Speaker 2: tomorrow right here on with the sticks.
- 23:02Speaker 4: Statt befo
