- 0:10Speaker 1: to carrying each other On the air, there's Brock Control
- 0:17Speaker 1: live from the Mercedes Benz Baton Rouge Studio.
- 0:21Speaker 3: It's off the bench, all right, welcome again.
- 0:50Speaker 4: I remember three O TV, one of four, five ESPN,
- 0:52Speaker 4: Baton Rude.
- 0:58Speaker 5: Our three sports.
- 1:02Speaker 6: Nope, dear Delandra.
- 1:09Speaker 7: Sorry, I'm trying to get all the songs up.
- 1:11Speaker 6: All right, it's all good here. Let the people hear
- 1:14Speaker 6: the sweet excited voices of two angels here.
- 1:19Speaker 5: They are Deldre.
- 1:24Speaker 7: So good it gets me every time.
- 1:27Speaker 2: Okay, So we have four questions today and the first
- 1:31Speaker 2: one is.
- 1:34Speaker 5: Al right.
- 1:35Speaker 7: Sorry, I'm trying to get this first question, Dear Delandra.
- 1:41Speaker 2: I was talking to someone about how I go see
- 1:44Speaker 2: movies or go to lunch by myself, and they said
- 1:46Speaker 2: that was sad. I feel like enjoying your own company
- 1:49Speaker 2: is a good thing.
- 1:50Speaker 7: What are your thoughts? So I'm gonna give you.
- 1:53Speaker 4: Webby.
- 1:57Speaker 2: I think you should be happy about the fact that
- 1:59Speaker 2: you can do stuff by your like that. I love
- 2:01Speaker 2: going to the movies by myself. I actually prefer to
- 2:04Speaker 2: go to the movies by myself, and that just means that,
- 2:07Speaker 2: like you enjoy your own company and you don't need
- 2:10Speaker 2: to have somebody go with you.
- 2:11Speaker 7: So I don't think it's sad.
- 2:13Speaker 2: I actually think that's like a really good thing that
- 2:15Speaker 2: you can be like comfortable going out by yourself, like
- 2:18Speaker 2: I don't know. That feels very confident, very like I
- 2:20Speaker 2: don't care kind of thing. So no, it's not sad.
- 2:24Speaker 2: And also I feel like it's a good, like uh
- 2:28Speaker 2: self care kind of thing to go out and do
- 2:30Speaker 2: stuff by yourself. Like again, movies by myself is like
- 2:33Speaker 2: my favorite thing to do. I don't really go eat
- 2:36Speaker 2: by myself much. I've done it before, but I.
- 2:37Speaker 4: Don't really do it much.
- 2:39Speaker 7: Yeah, but I like.
- 2:40Speaker 2: To be in my own company and you don't always
- 2:43Speaker 2: have to have somebody with you.
- 2:45Speaker 6: It's totally w Yeah, I got no problem go in
- 2:46Speaker 6: the movie or eating by myself.
- 2:48Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 2:48Speaker 6: When I used to go on the road covering LSUE
- 2:51Speaker 6: games for CST, like I was by myself all the
- 2:53Speaker 6: time because like a lot of times the team would
- 2:56Speaker 6: stay like an hour away and I would just stay
- 2:58Speaker 6: wherever we were I've went to the movies almost every
- 3:02Speaker 6: Friday night. I used to love going into a restaurant.
- 3:04Speaker 6: It's like how many out one one just me?
- 3:08Speaker 5: Just me? Or do you go to the bar just
- 3:10Speaker 5: at the bar?
- 3:11Speaker 7: Yeah, okay, So example, going on the road. I just went.
- 3:17Speaker 2: A few weeks ago to New Orleans for UFC three
- 3:21Speaker 2: eighteen the for.
- 3:22Speaker 7: A fire whatever.
- 3:23Speaker 2: I went there by myself, and I stayed in a
- 3:25Speaker 2: hotel and I went to the hotel bar by myself,
- 3:27Speaker 2: and I was like drinking a glass of champagne by myself,
- 3:30Speaker 2: and I was like so relaxing and fun to me.
- 3:33Speaker 2: So I think it's completely fine. I don't think it's sad.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Maybe the other person that told you it's sad is
- 3:39Speaker 2: sad because why can't you go buy out, like go
- 3:41Speaker 2: out by yourself. I think you'd be kind of sad
- 3:44Speaker 2: if you were getting like super wasted.
- 3:47Speaker 5: But like if you go to a restaurant and you
- 3:49Speaker 5: stood up at the bar like by yourself. Yeah, Now,
- 3:52Speaker 5: are you do you open yourself up to random conversation
- 3:56Speaker 5: with strangers?
- 3:57Speaker 2: Yes?
- 3:57Speaker 5: Do you like to be closed off? Because I'm usually
- 3:59Speaker 5: like and then I have no conversation.
- 4:02Speaker 7: I would prefer no conversations.
- 4:04Speaker 2: But there was a man that was sitting next to
- 4:06Speaker 2: me at the hotel bar that was very chatty.
- 4:09Speaker 7: Yeah, And I was like, how do I sit it
- 4:11Speaker 7: out of this?
- 4:12Speaker 2: I was like, yes, I'm not in this.
- 4:15Speaker 5: Right, you can be n you can, but you gotta
- 4:16Speaker 5: be in and out of a conversation. You're going to
- 4:18Speaker 5: meet someone like a stranger.
- 4:19Speaker 2: We can have like a two minute conversation and then
- 4:22Speaker 2: we can move on. But the man kept asking me.
- 4:24Speaker 7: Questions and I was like, that's enough.
- 4:27Speaker 2: But his friends came down after, and I was like,
- 4:30Speaker 2: this is my cue to go somewhere.
- 4:31Speaker 5: That question if you go to a movie by yourself,
- 4:34Speaker 5: like who like during the previews, who are you gonna
- 4:37Speaker 5: turn to and whisper that looks good?
- 4:40Speaker 2: Right?
- 4:40Speaker 5: That looks good?
- 4:41Speaker 7: You just text somebody like.
- 4:42Speaker 9: A stranger next to you.
- 4:43Speaker 2: Yeah, that's like my favorite.
- 4:47Speaker 6: However, I can like go. I also look, I can
- 4:50Speaker 6: take the whole family. I can think just the boys.
- 4:54Speaker 6: Harlow's not really ready for movie theater just yet. But
- 4:57Speaker 6: like me and Jackson, my oldist like we go see
- 4:59Speaker 6: movies all time.
- 5:00Speaker 5: I love it.
- 5:00Speaker 4: Yeah, I can go.
- 5:01Speaker 5: But I told you all this.
- 5:02Speaker 6: I used to give movie reviews on Fox Sports Radio
- 5:05Speaker 6: from the Road, Like whatever I saw that Friday night,
- 5:08Speaker 6: I went on the Late Show and I'd give it
- 5:10Speaker 6: a review.
- 5:11Speaker 5: I love it. Have you ever walked out of a movie? Oh?
- 5:13Speaker 6: Yeah, for sure.
- 5:18Speaker 7: No, I don't think I've ever walked out of a movie.
- 5:21Speaker 7: I did. So we went to go see.
- 5:22Speaker 2: One of the Annabelle movies and I went with my cousin,
- 5:25Speaker 2: and my cousin kept telling me how like her mom
- 5:28Speaker 2: walked out of the movie because she was so scared
- 5:31Speaker 2: of it, And the entire time we were watching the movie,
- 5:33Speaker 2: We're like, when did your mom walk out of this?
- 5:35Speaker 7: Like it was not scary at all.
- 5:40Speaker 6: Uh, SpongeBob Sponge out of Water was one.
- 5:44Speaker 7: That you walked out of?
- 5:44Speaker 10: That one?
- 5:45Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 5:45Speaker 5: I walked out of that one.
- 5:46Speaker 6: I was like, all right, man, I don't really know
- 5:47Speaker 6: what's going on, Like what what do we got?
- 5:49Speaker 5: What's going on here?
- 5:50Speaker 6: Because I wasn't I wasn't a SpongeBob watcher, but my
- 5:54Speaker 6: older boys were.
- 5:55Speaker 5: Is it I just say that I don't know say
- 5:58Speaker 5: that I walked out. I can't remember what the movie was.
- 6:01Speaker 5: I know it's not a great story, but I've walked
- 6:02Speaker 5: out once.
- 6:03Speaker 4: It's a terrible story. Awful story, Delandre.
- 6:07Speaker 7: We do this. Next one is.
- 6:10Speaker 2: A parent, Like, so I'm not a parent, but I
- 6:12Speaker 2: was a teenager once, so we can do this one.
- 6:17Speaker 2: This is teenage dirt bag. This is for you, Uh,
- 6:20Speaker 2: dear Delandra. Is it possible to monitor check on a
- 6:24Speaker 2: teen's phone usage without them going full sneak and hiding
- 6:28Speaker 2: the dumbass teenagery.
- 6:30Speaker 7: Ish they do?
- 6:33Speaker 2: Well? You could definitely monitor the phones, but they are
- 6:36Speaker 2: always gonna find ways to like sneak around and like
- 6:39Speaker 2: work around it. And like from experience, I'll say this,
- 6:43Speaker 2: and this was just me growing up. I don't know
- 6:45Speaker 2: if this was everybody, but like if my parents told
- 6:48Speaker 2: me I couldn't do something, it made me want to
- 6:50Speaker 2: do it even more. So maybe just have like open
- 6:53Speaker 2: lines of communication with your kids and like talk about
- 6:56Speaker 2: all the things and let them know that they have
- 7:00Speaker 2: I don't know, I'm not a parent, but like I'm
- 7:01Speaker 2: just like from experience as a kid, I think just
- 7:05Speaker 2: like an open line of communication. You don't even have
- 7:07Speaker 2: to be like the cool parent, but like just be like, hey,
- 7:10Speaker 2: I know you're a teenager and I know things are
- 7:12Speaker 2: gonna happen this is a safe space kind of thing,
- 7:15Speaker 2: but also like I'm gonna discipline you.
- 7:17Speaker 7: But I mean, I don't know.
- 7:18Speaker 2: I had very strict parents growing up, and it just
- 7:20Speaker 2: made me want to rebel. That's what I'll But y'all
- 7:23Speaker 2: are parents? Do y'all have input on this? You have
- 7:25Speaker 2: a teenager?
- 7:28Speaker 5: Hmm?
- 7:29Speaker 6: So phones are scary. I heard y'all talking about that
- 7:32Speaker 6: the Wednesday when I left. Yeah, they are. You gotta
- 7:35Speaker 6: trust your your children as well. You got to hope
- 7:37Speaker 6: that you've done the right things to lead them to that.
- 7:39Speaker 6: Social media scares you a little bit going. I mean,
- 7:43Speaker 6: you know what I mean, Like going going through their
- 7:45Speaker 6: phone is it's a slippery slope because you, like you
- 7:48Speaker 6: want to give them that trust, like you want to
- 7:50Speaker 6: make sure. I mean if I if I went through
- 7:54Speaker 6: their phone, it wouldn't be like their messages with their friends.
- 7:56Speaker 4: Like I think that's to me, that's just stept too
- 8:00Speaker 4: far away.
- 8:01Speaker 6: Like social media like, hey, like, let me see that
- 8:03Speaker 6: popular page is looking like, let me make sure you're
- 8:05Speaker 6: looking at the algorithm.
- 8:06Speaker 4: Yeah, let me see, make sure you're looking at the
- 8:08Speaker 4: things you need to be looking at.
- 8:09Speaker 5: Who are we following? I think I think absolutely you
- 8:12Speaker 5: got children under like, you should be able to monitor it.
- 8:15Speaker 5: You can always see who they're following. I guess if
- 8:16Speaker 5: you you ca iteah right like which I think that's fine,
- 8:19Speaker 5: but like snapchatapchat, let me.
- 8:21Speaker 4: Just personal messages with their friends sketchy. Yeah, yes, I
- 8:26Speaker 4: know nothing about snapchey.
- 8:27Speaker 5: Yeah, but that's how a lot of the children's that's
- 8:29Speaker 5: a lot of the youth, but that's how they communicate
- 8:32Speaker 5: a lot too.
- 8:33Speaker 7: Yeah, they do.
- 8:34Speaker 2: Also, I I don't know too much about this, but
- 8:37Speaker 2: I have heard that, like, uh, that Life three sixty thing.
- 8:42Speaker 7: So there's workarounds around it.
- 8:44Speaker 2: So if you have Life three sixty on your kids,
- 8:47Speaker 2: they can leave like their Apple watch or their iPad
- 8:49Speaker 2: or something at home and then like sneak out and
- 8:52Speaker 2: you would still think that they were at home.
- 8:55Speaker 5: That is so. I do have some parent friends that
- 8:59Speaker 5: have already have a heart, like they have a hard
- 9:02Speaker 5: line with Live three sixty. If yeah, their children ever
- 9:05Speaker 5: turn it off, if they ever catch it with it
- 9:07Speaker 5: being off, or they catch it, they lose their phone
- 9:10Speaker 5: for like the rest of their life pretty much day.
- 9:13Speaker 5: It's like a hard it's a hard it's a hard line.
- 9:15Speaker 6: So what's the difference between that app and like a
- 9:18Speaker 6: find my iPhone. I have no idea.
- 9:20Speaker 7: I don't know.
- 9:21Speaker 5: I think there's just a little bit probably not a
- 9:23Speaker 5: whole lot, but I think there's a little bit more detail,
- 9:26Speaker 5: Like that's a little bit more robust situation.
- 9:29Speaker 7: So I actually think you can do a lot.
- 9:31Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that, Like if you have Live three
- 9:33Speaker 2: sixty and you're driving, it can tell you like the
- 9:36Speaker 2: speed that you're going.
- 9:37Speaker 6: Yeah, definitely need to get that when whenever the license
- 9:40Speaker 6: happy a couple of months.
- 9:41Speaker 5: I would certainly suggest it. And yeah, my children will
- 9:46Speaker 5: have it when they get their first phone at forty five.
- 9:50Speaker 6: The fact that you think you're gonna make it until
- 9:52Speaker 6: Huck's driving isous.
- 9:54Speaker 5: I can't unless everybody else is on board.
- 9:57Speaker 6: His friends are not going to be on board. But
- 10:01Speaker 6: just now we have Okay, bet, let's revisit this from now.
- 10:06Speaker 5: Look I'm not I'm not ignorant of the fact that
- 10:09Speaker 5: it will.
- 10:11Speaker 6: But the odds mine were the last of their friend group.
- 10:15Speaker 6: All all three that have phones were the last of
- 10:17Speaker 6: their friend group to get them, but.
- 10:20Speaker 4: All their friends had them like three years before they did.
- 10:23Speaker 5: The odds are stacked. I get it, But we're gonna
- 10:26Speaker 5: try we're gonna, we're gonna give it the old college try.
- 10:30Speaker 5: I can appreciate that we're gonna as long as we can. Yeah,
- 10:35Speaker 5: give them that little whatever that watch is.
- 10:39Speaker 7: I have one more that's like just a silly fun one.
- 10:42Speaker 5: Absolutely.
- 10:43Speaker 2: Okay, So this is the song Man in the Box
- 10:45Speaker 2: Alison Chains.
- 10:47Speaker 7: Because.
- 10:49Speaker 2: Dear Landra, my kids' school is having an adult back
- 10:52Speaker 2: to school dance and it's nineties themed. I have a
- 10:55Speaker 2: sublime T shirt, baggy jeans, bands, flannel, metal bond, necklace, chain,
- 11:00Speaker 2: missing anything.
- 11:01Speaker 7: I think they're good to go.
- 11:02Speaker 2: You got the oh, he's got the bands bands, Doc Martin's.
- 11:06Speaker 7: That works.
- 11:07Speaker 2: The baggy jeans are my fave. I got some baggy
- 11:09Speaker 2: jeans on today. Uh so yeah, I think you're good
- 11:12Speaker 2: to go. Go rock out to some Alison Chains.
- 11:16Speaker 5: Uh.
- 11:16Speaker 2: This is a good album, but this is not the
- 11:17Speaker 2: best song on this album. It's a good song, it's
- 11:20Speaker 2: a great song, but there's a better one and it
- 11:23Speaker 2: doesn't get enough attention.
- 11:28Speaker 7: Sounds so weird clean?
- 11:29Speaker 5: Was it? Late nineties was more of the shift towards Abercrombie? Right?
- 11:35Speaker 5: What late nineties? Late yeah? Yeah? Yeah, so like our
- 11:38Speaker 5: middle school years is when.
- 11:40Speaker 4: Ninety eight ninety nine was big like shift into.
- 11:44Speaker 5: I mean, I guess I would consider that more early
- 11:45Speaker 5: two thousands.
- 11:46Speaker 6: I think grunge kind of ended a little bit and
- 11:49Speaker 6: like that kind of picked up.
- 11:51Speaker 5: YEAHO did do y'all know what band is credited for
- 11:56Speaker 5: killing like the grunge movement, No tell me everything? Hanson?
- 12:01Speaker 5: What Hanson is credited doom Bop? Yeah, for ending kind
- 12:06Speaker 5: of like the great music that grunge gave us, the
- 12:11Speaker 5: great bands that are timeless and yeah, I just it
- 12:16Speaker 5: kind of. So they say that Hanson kind of kicked
- 12:18Speaker 5: off this like era towards the poppy Yeah, the poppy world.
- 12:22Speaker 5: They kind of killed the popularization of the good stuff.
- 12:25Speaker 2: So William Anthony and the by U four chat said, well,
- 12:28Speaker 2: laundro which one do you think it is?
- 12:29Speaker 9: Rooster?
- 12:30Speaker 2: Rooster is on dirt. This is Facelift. The best song
- 12:33Speaker 2: on Facelift is it ain't like that? It goes so hard? Yeah, okay, hold.
- 12:40Speaker 7: On, it goes so hard. I showed somebody it the
- 12:45Speaker 7: other day and they.
- 12:45Speaker 2: Had to hit the rewind like the restart, like it
- 12:48Speaker 2: went so hard.
- 12:49Speaker 7: It blew their mind. They're like, sit down, Yeah, you
- 12:52Speaker 7: gotta just take a.
- 12:52Speaker 5: Second, all right, Alvo and the chat said, when my
- 12:56Speaker 5: kid asked for asked me for a phone, I must say,
- 12:58Speaker 5: now Matt Flinn's kids.
- 12:59Speaker 7: In that one, that's a good excuse.
- 13:04Speaker 5: Let's start the movement people.
- 13:07Speaker 6: I'm no, I'm currently seeing if Hanson was truly the
- 13:10Speaker 6: one that killed grune music. While y'all are listen to.
- 13:14Speaker 5: This, I'm sure everyone's got a different opinion, but that's
- 13:16Speaker 5: that's what I read.
- 13:19Speaker 8: Like, come on, bro, come on, bro, it was so hard,
- 13:29Speaker 8: He's awesome chain save stuff for the rest of us.
- 13:34Speaker 6: So a quick u AI, sir. It says Hansen didn't
- 13:37Speaker 6: kill grunge music, though umbab Driving in ninety seven was
- 13:40Speaker 6: about as far from smells like teen Spirit as you
- 13:42Speaker 6: could get. Grunge's fade was more of a slow cultural
- 13:46Speaker 6: shift than a single assassin. Yeah, like it says the
- 13:51Speaker 6: real grunge killers.
- 13:53Speaker 4: It says there's four things. Kurt Cobaine passing.
- 13:56Speaker 5: Away was one.
- 13:57Speaker 6: Over exposure was to shift, and music taste was three
- 14:01Speaker 6: and Seattle scene evolution was four.
- 14:03Speaker 7: Yeah, well, I just think that.
- 14:04Speaker 2: Like also, Nirvana was like at the time the grunge band,
- 14:08Speaker 2: right like every they're like the mainstream grunge band.
- 14:11Speaker 7: Everybody loved Nirvana. Smells like teen Spirit blew everybody's mind.
- 14:14Speaker 7: But from like.
- 14:15Speaker 2: Bleach their first album, to never Mind to in Utero,
- 14:20Speaker 2: they just got like more and more. I guess I
- 14:24Speaker 2: would say they got less grunge each album, and I
- 14:26Speaker 2: feel like that really like shifted it too, because like
- 14:29Speaker 2: Bleach is super grunge, never Mind is like pretty grunge,
- 14:34Speaker 2: but you can tell they got a producer and that
- 14:35Speaker 2: like they produced it highly, and then in Utero is
- 14:39Speaker 2: just like full mainstream.
- 14:40Speaker 5: I think smells like ting Spirit is also well yeah
- 14:43Speaker 5: us like on the Handsome Thing, but like spells like
- 14:46Speaker 5: Thing Spirit kind of was nail on the coffin on
- 14:48Speaker 5: like hairbands too badies yea, I would think. So you
- 14:54Speaker 5: never mentioned Pearl Jam. You love Pearl Jam.
- 14:58Speaker 7: They're not in my top four for what grunge bands.
- 15:02Speaker 5: Well that's I'm lessening.
- 15:07Speaker 2: Sorry, I'm not like I like them just fine, but
- 15:10Speaker 2: they're not my favorite.
- 15:11Speaker 6: I like them just fine, okay. I like telling somebody
- 15:14Speaker 6: you look fine fine.
- 15:17Speaker 7: Yeah, Animal is a good song.
- 15:20Speaker 5: Yeah, nice personality.
- 15:21Speaker 6: I like I like their their last kiss, Yeah you're
- 15:26Speaker 6: so okay?
- 15:27Speaker 5: All right? Cool?
- 15:29Speaker 6: Didn't it's nobody said anything bad about him.
- 15:34Speaker 5: Uh yeah, the Scona loves pearl Jam too. He does
- 15:37Speaker 5: loves pearl Jam for sure.
- 15:40Speaker 6: All right, that's what they're great.
- 15:41Speaker 5: I'm just saying he does love That's that's the Band
- 15:44Speaker 5: of Pearl Tain was not massively overrated. They've got a
- 15:49Speaker 5: great documentary.
- 15:50Speaker 6: About to get about to Get Flynn really angry and
- 15:53Speaker 6: coming up in fifteen minutes. If you entered the My
- 15:57Speaker 6: High sweepstakes on social media, you should probably tune in
- 16:00Speaker 6: because we're going to announce a winner in fifty. Now
- 16:03Speaker 6: we'll take a break more OTB when we come back
- 16:05Speaker 6: here one O four five ESPN Baton.
- 16:08Speaker 3: Route off the bench.
- 16:12Speaker 6: All right, go to Central Plumbing dot org not only
- 16:15Speaker 6: in Central but the entire greater Baton Rouge area. We
- 16:18Speaker 6: are talking to you. Twenty four seven three sixty five
- 16:20Speaker 6: weekend Holiday Game Day Emergency Service two two five nine
- 16:24Speaker 6: two five eighty five fifty two is that number.
- 16:27Speaker 4: But always remember if you're looking to remodel, it can.

- 17:40Speaker 1: like only champions can.
- 18:26Speaker 4: All right, welcome back an o t B one of
- 18:27Speaker 4: four or five ESPN Baton Rouge.
- 18:30Speaker 5: This is, of course not Hollo Oats. We decided we
- 18:35Speaker 5: came to the end of the road as far as
- 18:37Speaker 5: like the Tier one bangers hollow Oats. But we switched
- 18:42Speaker 5: over to fluood back for the next couple of segs,
- 18:45Speaker 5: and I did want to talk. We did here and
- 18:47Speaker 5: I learned this a lot when we had our dinner
- 18:49Speaker 5: at SEC Media Days with your the serious crew. Give
- 18:54Speaker 5: me the name of the producer, and skag was talking
- 18:56Speaker 5: about how ultimately talented Darryl Hall from Holland Oates was
- 19:03Speaker 5: and how his peers during the time all thought that
- 19:06Speaker 5: he was one of, if not the greatest, most talented
- 19:10Speaker 5: singers in their generation of all time. And I think
- 19:15Speaker 5: in the early nineties they did that huge like the
- 19:18Speaker 5: Michael Jackson We Are the World was a music video.
- 19:22Speaker 5: I believe you have music video where all the top
- 19:25Speaker 5: singers and musicians they got together and did this thing
- 19:28Speaker 5: with Michael Jackson for We All the World, and I
- 19:31Speaker 5: think the consensus out of that thing everyone was like,
- 19:34Speaker 5: holy hell, yeah, Daryl Hall is an amazing talented person,
- 19:39Speaker 5: so shout out to him. One of the greatest seasons.
- 19:43Speaker 5: Even John Oates, who he's feuds with during their feuds,
- 19:47Speaker 5: said that Daryl Hall is one of the greatest singers
- 19:49Speaker 5: we've ever had.
- 19:50Speaker 2: I mean, if you just listen to I can't go
- 19:53Speaker 2: for that and like the background and the harmonies in
- 19:56Speaker 2: it so good.
- 19:57Speaker 7: I agree, he's pretty good.
- 19:59Speaker 2: But I do find it really funny that Tony Skaggs
- 20:01Speaker 2: is like Darryl Hall.
- 20:03Speaker 6: And John Oates everything everything that's awesome.
- 20:08Speaker 5: It likeas I did not know this because the concert
- 20:11Speaker 5: we were watching at the that was playing at the
- 20:14Speaker 5: at the Mexican restaurant we were at. It's like cool
- 20:18Speaker 5: like new age, like h swanky vibe to this Mexican restaurant.
- 20:23Speaker 6: Which is superior, but like like uh, superior vibe but
- 20:28Speaker 6: like more hip yeah, but.
- 20:29Speaker 5: More like a hipster. Yeah. But it was cool. But
- 20:31Speaker 5: it was like, you know, the eighties were a weird
- 20:33Speaker 5: time for fashion, and so they were kind of dressed
- 20:37Speaker 5: a little different. So I couldn't like tell who the
- 20:40Speaker 5: like because you couldn't really hear it, but I couldn't
- 20:43Speaker 5: really tell who the concert was, what concert it was. Yeah,
- 20:47Speaker 5: I was like, man, I just I can't place these people.
- 20:50Speaker 5: I can't place it. It's dressed a little different, the
- 20:54Speaker 5: scenery is weird, and I was like, who do you
- 20:56Speaker 5: all know who this this concert is?
- 20:58Speaker 2: Hell?
- 20:58Speaker 5: Yeah, that's when we had.
- 21:03Speaker 2: Yet you have you all seen the one of them?
- 21:07Speaker 2: It's a live maybe it's this one. It's a live one.
- 21:09Speaker 2: And he has like a fur coat and like ski
- 21:12Speaker 2: glasses on and he's singing rich Girl and he looks
- 21:15Speaker 2: so cool.
- 21:15Speaker 7: Like if you've never seen it, look it up. It's
- 21:17Speaker 7: so good.
- 21:18Speaker 5: Hold the Mayo talks about another incredible voice. Nobody mentioned
- 21:21Speaker 5: David Ruffin. I believe David h he had a brother
- 21:24Speaker 5: as well in Motown. But David was the singer for
- 21:27Speaker 5: My Girl the Temptations, right, is that right?
- 21:29Speaker 2: So?
- 21:29Speaker 5: I remember this from the movie that made made for
- 21:31Speaker 5: TV movie. It wasn't part of the like original the
- 21:35Speaker 5: og Temptations, but he was brought in an ultra talented guy,
- 21:40Speaker 5: but David Uffin liked him some.
- 21:42Speaker 9: David Ruffin, That's actually a really good movie though it TV.
- 21:47Speaker 9: That's That's a good movie.
- 21:48Speaker 5: It is a great movie. Expertly act as well. The
- 21:54Speaker 5: guy that played David Ruffin in that movie was the
- 21:56Speaker 5: guy that played the lead in Cool Runnings. It was
- 21:59Speaker 5: The Drive. The other great Rings is a great movie.
- 22:06Speaker 5: It was The Temptations. You love that movie.
- 22:09Speaker 4: I mean, gosh, I think I need to go back
- 22:11Speaker 4: and watch it.
- 22:11Speaker 5: Just great movie.
- 22:13Speaker 7: The made for TV Michael Jackson one is good to one.
- 22:17Speaker 5: I used to listen.
- 22:18Speaker 6: There's a TV Elvis one with Jonathan Reese Myers. Is
- 22:21Speaker 6: Elvis is really good?
- 22:22Speaker 8: Really?
- 22:23Speaker 7: Did you watch the Austin Butler one?
- 22:27Speaker 5: You know?
- 22:27Speaker 7: Did you like it?
- 22:28Speaker 5: I did? Which one is different?
- 22:31Speaker 2: The Elvis, the newer Elvis that came out two years ago.
- 22:35Speaker 7: Best musical biopick? Do you say biopicker, biopic.
- 22:41Speaker 9: Biopic?
- 22:42Speaker 5: I'm a redneck. I say biopick either way.
- 22:44Speaker 7: The best one is Walk the Line.
- 22:48Speaker 9: That's the best line, really really good, really great one.
- 22:53Speaker 11: Ray's good with Ray Charles, Timmy Fox plays and that's
- 22:56Speaker 11: another really good one.
- 22:57Speaker 5: No doubt we saw that as a team.
- 22:59Speaker 11: I think I like Great Balls of Fire. But you
- 23:01Speaker 11: can't see it anywhere anymore.
- 23:04Speaker 5: Oh yeah, we did.
- 23:04Speaker 11: It's something about like the musical rights, like Jerry le
- 23:07Speaker 11: Lewis's family owns it.
- 23:09Speaker 9: They won't release it to any companies.
- 23:11Speaker 11: You really can't find it because I tried to give
- 23:13Speaker 11: Victoria to watch it like a want to.
- 23:14Speaker 9: Go, couldn't find anywhere.
- 23:15Speaker 4: Bohemian Rhapsody's pretty good.
- 23:18Speaker 7: I didn't like it.
- 23:20Speaker 5: Nobody's perfect.
- 23:25Speaker 6: I think Walked the Last Temptations is the best student
- 23:27Speaker 6: of Temptations.
- 23:29Speaker 5: It is chat let us know what you think. Takes
- 23:31Speaker 5: five hours to get through it if you catch it
- 23:33Speaker 5: on TV.
- 23:33Speaker 7: I think we haven't talked enough football.
- 23:36Speaker 5: Who said that?
- 23:38Speaker 2: Alex Junior twenty eight Football Talk ten minutes adds one
- 23:41Speaker 2: hour music talk to two hours.
- 23:43Speaker 5: Oh, I mean it's not necessarily saying he wants more.
- 23:46Speaker 11: I think that's like, yeah, to your point, he could
- 23:49Speaker 11: be breaking down the celebrating.
- 23:52Speaker 7: I think we talked a lot of football.
- 23:55Speaker 6: Alex Junior, twenty eight, My guy, we broke down in
- 24:01Speaker 6: full detail the first preseason game for the News.
- 24:06Speaker 5: Let me tell you, it's hard, riveting. It's hard preseason. Like,
- 24:09Speaker 5: let's be honest, we watch preseason games because we're just
- 24:13Speaker 5: so thirsty for football. It's been such a long drought
- 24:17Speaker 5: a football. This life is no good. It's not a
- 24:19Speaker 5: great life. So we will watch crap football, which is
- 24:24Speaker 5: what preseason is. It's terrible football, and we will watch
- 24:27Speaker 5: it and we'll overanalyze it and we'll say this or that, Oh,
- 24:30Speaker 5: this guy thinks this guy's awesome. Blah blah blah. It's
- 24:32Speaker 5: crap football. But you know what, it's fine.
- 24:35Speaker 6: It's day one install on offense versus day one install
- 24:39Speaker 6: on defense.
- 24:39Speaker 5: You're gonna get quarters.
- 24:41Speaker 6: Oh, you're gonna get maybe like a nickel off the edge,
- 24:44Speaker 6: like as far as a bledz. Now, there's things we
- 24:46Speaker 6: can learn for sure about it, and like to see
- 24:49Speaker 6: how a quarterback goes out there and leads the troops.
- 24:51Speaker 6: For sure.
- 24:53Speaker 5: My hope.
- 24:53Speaker 6: Look, I honestly hope that the Chargers in Saints treat
- 24:56Speaker 6: this preseason game differently, and it's not just day one install.
- 24:59Speaker 5: You know, treated it differently. Jamar Chase last night I did.
- 25:05Speaker 11: Joey b was in nine for ten. Yeah, two touchdowns,
- 25:09Speaker 11: like not a bad day at the office.
- 25:10Speaker 5: I mean, can anybody turn a hitch route into a
- 25:13Speaker 5: touchdown like Jamar Chase can not? Nobody in the NFL?
- 25:16Speaker 5: What are we doing and it's just one moving got
- 25:18Speaker 5: It's like it's not That's how you know somebody special
- 25:21Speaker 5: when they do something that's really hard and they make
- 25:23Speaker 5: it look easy. Like you watch that, they're like, well
- 25:26Speaker 5: that had how'd that guy missed the tackle? He's an
- 25:29Speaker 5: NFL cornerback? How do you miss it? Like it was
- 25:31Speaker 5: just caught it and he turned around. It's subtleties, it's explosion.
- 25:35Speaker 5: It's speed. It's like getting to full speed on the
- 25:36Speaker 5: first or second step. It's like, yeah, that cornerback missed them.
- 25:40Speaker 5: But every cornerback does. Every corner like I've never seen
- 25:42Speaker 5: a guy that can take small routes and turn them
- 25:46Speaker 5: into explosive plays like Jamar Chase can now you see
- 25:49Speaker 5: it from other receivers, great receivers, but as consistently it's
- 25:53Speaker 5: like weekly for that guy, first preseason game when uh,
- 25:58Speaker 5: one of the top receivers in top quarter backs in
- 26:00Speaker 5: the NFL, they're playing their tail off. It's pretty cool.
- 26:03Speaker 5: He could literally just.
- 26:04Speaker 11: Run like go routes and then stop and run a
- 26:07Speaker 11: hitch like that's he could do that and be a
- 26:10Speaker 11: top ten receiver.
- 26:11Speaker 5: Come on, bingals, what are we doing?
- 26:13Speaker 7: Do you want to do your announcement right now or
- 26:15Speaker 7: do you.
- 26:15Speaker 5: Let's tease it. We're gonna come back with the high.

- 31:22Speaker 6: so flights are paid for. Where are we going?
- 31:26Speaker 11: So two spots for me, don't care which game, whichever,
- 31:29Speaker 11: the Penn State whiteout game is always wanted to do that.
- 31:32Speaker 11: I want to go to Blacksburg at night. Here, okay man,
- 31:35Speaker 11: they're all jumping up and down one of those two spots.
- 31:38Speaker 5: All right, I've always wanted to do white out.
- 31:42Speaker 6: Well, it's hard to get there, so you'd need all
- 31:44Speaker 6: five dollars.
- 31:46Speaker 5: I would like to watch jump around at Wisconsin, but
- 31:52Speaker 5: I think the I mean they go to chalk answer
- 31:54Speaker 5: for me would be Army Navy.
- 31:57Speaker 7: I know you get to do it, that would be mine.
- 32:01Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, I guess I'll go again. I will say that,
- 32:06Speaker 6: like honestly, all jokes aside, if you haven't done it,
- 32:09Speaker 6: if you've thought about it, doing it's the best experience
- 32:13Speaker 6: you will have because you don't go in with the
- 32:16Speaker 6: nerves of watching your favorite team play.
- 32:19Speaker 4: And a lot of times unless you're you know, arm
- 32:22Speaker 4: your Navy, there's not really a loser.
- 32:24Speaker 6: It's just like celebrating our country, celebrating football, celebrating the
- 32:29Speaker 6: game the way it's.
- 32:30Speaker 4: Supposed to be played. It's an incredible environment. Now this
- 32:34Speaker 4: year is in.
- 32:35Speaker 6: Baltimore, I would say, personally, wait till it's in Philly again.
- 32:39Speaker 6: I've done it multiple times. I think Philly does it
- 32:41Speaker 6: better than anybody else. I think that game needs to
- 32:44Speaker 6: kind of just stay in Philadelphia. But you're not going
- 32:47Speaker 6: to go to a bad one. So yes, y'all, hmm,
- 32:53Speaker 6: can we get the show up there this year? I
- 32:56Speaker 6: think I think we could.
- 32:58Speaker 4: Could I do both shows?
- 33:00Speaker 5: The timing of that, yeah, you could do.
- 33:02Speaker 4: Okay, sure, OTV on the road we have to Baltimore.
- 33:07Speaker 4: It's like, it is incredible. That's a great answer. It
- 33:11Speaker 4: is a great answer.
- 33:12Speaker 5: It is.
- 33:13Speaker 6: It is something that's not like any other football game
- 33:15Speaker 6: that you'll go to. So yeah, now that y'all took
- 33:18Speaker 6: that answer, I mean anything I get is going to give,
- 33:20Speaker 6: you know, be bad. But I would go to.
- 33:25Speaker 4: Clemson at South Carolina. Yeah.
- 33:28Speaker 6: I think those two schools really hate each other. They
- 33:31Speaker 6: hate each other as much as any non conference teams
- 33:33Speaker 6: can possibly hate each other.
- 33:35Speaker 5: Being in the same state.
- 33:37Speaker 4: South Carolina went to Clemson last year and one I
- 33:40Speaker 4: think it's.
- 33:40Speaker 6: Going to be Willie b is going to be at
- 33:43Speaker 6: an eleven for that game, So I think i'd go
- 33:45Speaker 6: to that.
- 33:46Speaker 11: One of the more underrated rivalries in college football. You
- 33:48Speaker 11: don't you don't hear about it a lot, but every ye.
- 33:51Speaker 6: Hate each other. Like when I have one of those,
- 33:54Speaker 6: like one from you know, somebody that covers this school.
- 33:57Speaker 6: Somebody played at that school on off campus. No matter
- 34:00Speaker 6: what we're talking about, they find their way back to
- 34:03Speaker 6: that school to talk trash about that school.
- 34:07Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, the game. They should potentially have two top
- 34:11Speaker 5: Heisman candidates. I mean they are, yeah, I mean as
- 34:17Speaker 5: of right now. But as we said that, when when
- 34:19Speaker 5: l s U faces off of South Carolina, if Lenora
- 34:22Speaker 5: Sellers is still in that Heisman race, that means South
- 34:26Speaker 5: Carolina is having a good season at that point. So yeah,
- 34:30Speaker 5: that's a good one. I like that one. I mean,
- 34:31Speaker 5: there's so many different rivalries you could think of.
- 34:34Speaker 11: I'd like to go to an Iron Bowl just to
- 34:36Speaker 11: sit in the crowd and listen to the Alabama And I.
- 34:39Speaker 6: Don't know why I get the intrigue, but I've never
- 34:42Speaker 6: been intrigued by I don't know why.
- 34:44Speaker 4: I just don't want to go to that.
- 34:45Speaker 5: I don't know, like I get it.
- 34:47Speaker 4: I totally get it though, because it's always gonna be
- 34:49Speaker 4: wild to want to.
- 34:50Speaker 9: Talk about fan bases. They need each other though.
- 34:51Speaker 6: For sure.
- 34:51Speaker 9: I don't give a crap about the game. I just
- 34:53Speaker 9: want to go and see the.
- 34:54Speaker 5: Fans that I get it. All answers are night games too,
- 34:57Speaker 5: like this is I mean, was this a Big ten
- 35:00Speaker 5: for me? In the sun like Wisconsin going to Wisconsin
- 35:02Speaker 5: game on a big game at night, like in the
- 35:04Speaker 5: snow and they're jumping around like throwing snow everywhere. That
- 35:07Speaker 5: would be really cool to see.
- 35:10Speaker 6: I'm not going to a day game.
- 35:12Speaker 5: I'm not going to have brunch. It's hard. It's hard
- 35:14Speaker 5: to pick big ten teams, big ten games venues because
- 35:17Speaker 5: they're even a rare night that's Beaver Stadium.
- 35:20Speaker 4: Beaver Stadium at night for a white out is different
- 35:24Speaker 4: for sure.
- 35:24Speaker 9: Oh so does it irritate anybody that does me?
- 35:27Speaker 11: The Penn State doesn't wear all white during the white
- 35:30Speaker 11: out game, like the team doesn't.
- 35:31Speaker 5: That's stupid.
- 35:33Speaker 9: They didn't last year they wore white navy white.
- 35:36Speaker 5: Yeah, that is dumb. I didn't even I hadn't even
- 35:40Speaker 5: put this together.
- 35:40Speaker 9: That's that's stupid.
- 35:41Speaker 5: Every time or just this past night. I don't know,
- 35:44Speaker 5: that's real dumb.
- 35:45Speaker 9: They should just do it every time, all white.
- 35:47Speaker 5: No, that's objectively dumb. I don't think Matt likes it.
- 35:52Speaker 7: No, he just finds you should.
- 35:53Speaker 11: It's just one of those things where like I'm turning
- 35:55Speaker 11: on the TV and they're like, idn't stay white up?
- 35:57Speaker 9: And they run out in their navies. I'm like, what
- 35:59Speaker 9: the hell.
- 36:02Speaker 5: Can we look there?
- 36:02Speaker 2: Like?
- 36:03Speaker 5: Have they done that every time? It had been an accident.
- 36:06Speaker 5: I don't think it was an accident because I know,
- 36:09Speaker 5: like the uniform decision has to be made in some
- 36:12Speaker 5: time in advance. Was it a late decision to make
- 36:14Speaker 5: it a wide out game?
- 36:15Speaker 4: Are you saying the equipment manager got it wrong?
- 36:19Speaker 5: No, maybe they just planned the whiteout too late, like
- 36:21Speaker 5: they're playing on a Wednesday. But I don't think, like, I.
- 36:23Speaker 4: Don't think that's the case. No, I don't think that happened.
- 36:27Speaker 5: Well, somebody messed up on that one. That shouldn't have happened.
- 36:32Speaker 7: That's just dumb, isn't the white out? Like for the
- 36:35Speaker 7: crowd though?
- 36:36Speaker 4: Yeah, but like but everybody, I get what you're saying,
- 36:38Speaker 4: but the very traditional uniform. Yeah, look, I'm just don't
- 36:43Speaker 4: shoot the mess.
- 36:44Speaker 5: But like they're a way Jersey, Like they're a way uniform.
- 36:47Speaker 5: Is all just wear that, It's okay. Yeah, they can
- 36:49Speaker 5: be traditionally part of the white out themselves. They're asking
- 36:54Speaker 5: the fans to do something. Step up and do it yourself.
- 36:57Speaker 5: Don't be a hypocrite.
- 37:00Speaker 6: All right. On that note, I want to tell you

- 41:25Speaker 6: Ask the bench, when's the next time LSU will have
- 41:28Speaker 6: a gold game like the Whiteout game at Penn State.
- 41:31Speaker 6: I don't I don't know. That they work. Well here,
- 41:35Speaker 6: I'm gonna be honest. Penn State is a thing, and
- 41:37Speaker 6: everybody looks forward to the thing anytime we've had like
- 41:41Speaker 6: a gold game or or any kind of color theme game. Yeah,
- 41:46Speaker 6: and it has full participation.
- 41:48Speaker 4: I don't know how to make it a thing, like
- 41:50Speaker 4: if you're going to do it.
- 41:51Speaker 5: And you can't force a thing to start either, like
- 41:54Speaker 5: you can force you can say it, but there's gonna.
- 41:56Speaker 4: Be some You can try to make Fetch a thing,
- 41:58Speaker 4: but sometimes it doesn't work.

- 42:00Speaker 5: feel like it probably started organically. Do you think I
- 42:05Speaker 5: don't know. I don't either, but it became a thing somehow.
- 42:08Speaker 5: So you're right. You looked at me like you said
- 42:11Speaker 5: something funny. No, it's like nobody picked up on the fetch.
- 42:14Speaker 7: No, I got it.
- 42:16Speaker 9: That's one of my favorite movies.
- 42:17Speaker 6: Okay, all right, I just like, yeah, my one seen

- 42:52Speaker 5: That's I'll do that instead of doing film study and

- 43:15Speaker 5: school scrimmages. I don't know how how far those tentacles
- 43:18Speaker 5: spread out.
- 43:19Speaker 9: Penn State Whiteout game two thousand and four.
- 43:22Speaker 4: That's what Bilbo says in the chat.
- 43:23Speaker 6: Google says the Penn State whiteout was a marketing initiative
- 43:26Speaker 6: in two thousand and four that included only the student
- 43:29Speaker 6: section but expanded to the rest of the stadium.
- 43:32Speaker 5: Bilbo, Google my man, grow up. It's chat ChiPT brother,
- 43:37Speaker 5: grow up. I agree.
- 43:41Speaker 6: Bilbo also LSU fans what happened to the Gold game
- 43:44Speaker 6: where people didn't all wear gold.
- 43:49Speaker 5: And we don't want to wear gold jerseys. I know
- 43:50Speaker 5: Penn State for some reason doesn't wear white during the whiteout.
- 43:55Speaker 5: I definitely don't want to see a gold jersey.
- 44:00Speaker 7: That doesn't bother me as much as it bothers y'all.
- 44:02Speaker 5: What.
- 44:04Speaker 9: It's just an easy it's an easy fit.
- 44:06Speaker 6: Actually, it's a good contrast. I mean having the crowd
- 44:09Speaker 6: with their Navy jerseys on the field. It's a good scene.
- 44:12Speaker 5: Yeah, that's why they do the white out for the contrasts.
- 44:15Speaker 5: It's a good contrast. That's exactly why they do it. Smart, good,
- 44:19Speaker 5: good one, Alex.
- 44:25Speaker 6: I don't know who hurts you today. I think twenty
- 44:28Speaker 6: nine point seven thousand subscribers is big.

- 44:50Speaker 12: let it go for this price. Can't do it money

- 44:57Speaker 2: was gonna put Auburn at twenty five, I was trying
- 44:59Speaker 2: to do like an Auburn thing. And I was like,
- 45:00Speaker 2: you know what, let me pull the mat, let me
- 45:02Speaker 2: try chat gptah and chat GPT told me that Auburn
