- 0:21blind or have other disabilities that make it difficult to
- 0:24read printed material. We'll begin with the first article, dated
- 0:28March second, from Parade dot Com. Meghanmrony and Ella Langley
- 0:33become first female country artists to achieve music charts milestone.
- 0:39Megan Maroney and Ella Langley have officially gone where no
- 0:42pair of female country music stars in history have ever
- 0:45been before. Billboard reported on Monday that Maroney twenty eight,
- 0:49and Langley twenty six are the first two women in
- 0:52country music to ever top the Billboard two hundred Albums
- 0:55chart and the Billboard Hot one hundred charts simultaneously. Per
- 1:00charts dated March seventh, Maroni's new album Cloud nine debuted
- 1:04atop the Billboard two hundred, while Langley's song Choosing Texas
- 1:08returned to the number one spot on the Hot one
- 1:11hundred after first achieving the lead three weeks prior. This
- 1:15marks the first time two female country music artists have
- 1:18top Billboards All genre album and song charts simultaneously since
- 1:23the latter began collecting data back in nineteen fifty eight. Additionally,
- 1:28Marony and Langley are only the fifth country music combo
- 1:30to hit number one on both charts in the same week.
- 1:33Past artists who achieve the feat include The Eagles for
- 1:36Hotel California and Glen Campbell for Southern Nights in April
- 1:40of seventy seven, Taylor Swift for Speak Now and Morgan
- 1:44Wallen for Last Night in July of twenty twenty three,
- 1:47Post Malone for f one trillion, and Shaboozie for a
- 1:50Bar Song a Tipsy This Is in August of twenty
- 1:53twenty four, and Jelly Roll for Beautifully Broken and Chaboozy
- 1:57for a Bar Song Tipsy also in twenty four that
- 2:00in October. Beyond their shared achievement, Maroney and Langley chart
- 2:05toppers also signify personal career milestones for each as Cloud
- 2:09nine and Choosing Texas are their first number ones on
- 2:12the Billboard two hundred and Hot one hundred charts, respectively.
- 2:16Langley initiatedly reacted to the news of her Hot one
- 2:19hundred feet In February, we did it. Choosing Texas is
- 2:22the number one song on the Billboard Hot one hundred.
- 2:24She wrote via Instagram at the time, I can't thank
- 2:28you all enough for what you've done with this song.
- 2:30It blows my mind every single day. Here's to women
- 2:33and country music. Weeks later, Langley celebrated her song's return
- 2:37to number one, sharing a Billboard post about it via
- 2:40her Instagram story on Monday, alongside three emojis, a crying face,
- 2:44a white hart, and a mind blown face. Released in October,
- 2:48Choosing Texas as the lead single from Langley's upcoming second album.
- 2:51As we've talked about before, that's Standalion, which is set
- 2:54to drop on April tenth. As for Maroney, she expressed
- 2:57her excitement over Cloud nine's Billboard two hundred acomplishment via
- 3:00Instagram on Monday. Cloud nine is number one. Thank you
- 3:04so much, she captured her post, writing at all caps
- 3:07best fans in the world. Thank you for streaming and
- 3:09listening and connecting and caring. I can't wait to scream
- 3:12these songs with you on tour. Marony previously marked the
- 3:16February twentieth release of Cloud nine with a personal note
- 3:19to fans, I just want to say thank you to
- 3:21every single one of you, she shared via Instagram. At
- 3:23the time, I had the most fun I've ever had
- 3:25writing these songs and dreaming up this world, and a
- 3:28majority of this album was created right in the midst
- 3:30of MIOK tour. The pure joy you all brought me
- 3:34night after night resulted in so many of these songs
- 3:36and ideas, so I can't thank you all enough for
- 3:39inspiring me. She continued. There's a newfound confidence woven throughout
- 3:43Cloud nine, along with humor, honesty, heartbreak, duh, softness and
- 3:48Love's got everything I love about country music. Never in
- 3:51a million years would I have guessed I'd have songs
- 3:53with Ed Sheeran and Casey Musgraves. But I hope it
- 3:56inspires any and all dreamers out there to keep going.

- 8:45granting all access to all evening events at Nissan Stadium,
- 8:49are on sale now now we scoot on over to
- 8:52countrynow dot com with the first article, also dated March second.
- 8:57Bailey'szimmerman shines on the Different Night, Same Rodeo, showing his
- 9:01growth and unstoppable energy. Bailey Zimmerman proves he's exactly where
- 9:05he belongs on his headlining Different Night, Same Rodeo tour,
- 9:09delivering a high energy show with all the bells and whistles.
- 9:13Last Friday, Zimmerman brought the heat to Knoxville's Thompson Bowling
- 9:16Arena at Food City Center for the fourth stop on
- 9:19the tour. After rising stars Blake Whitten and Hudson Westbrook
- 9:23warmed up the crowd, Zimmerman made one of the most
- 9:25insane stage entrances in country music today. Shot from a
- 9:29riser below the stage, as flames erupted around him, he
- 9:32grabbed a rope from the rafters and swung onto the stage.
- 9:36He immediately launched into hit after hit, performing back Up Plan,
- 9:40Never Coming Home, Lost Change, and fan favorite fall in Love,
- 9:45moving across every inch of the arena and keeping energy electric.
- 9:49A few minutes and Zimmerman paused to take the crowd
- 9:51and reflect on his journey from his tiny home in Louisville, Illinois.
- 9:56A lot of words are coming into my head, but
- 9:57I'm about to cry, he admitted, Because this is the
- 10:00fourth arena show in the different nights, same rodeo tour,
- 10:04and we have nine thousand, five hundred people here right now.
- 10:07I'd say that's pretty good for the white boy from
- 10:10a trailer park. He went on to thank his fans
- 10:13and his team. Well, Knoxville, my name is Bailey's Immermann.
- 10:16I'm from a small town in southern Illinois called Louisville,
- 10:19and I'm sure I grew up just like a lot
- 10:20of you all. This may be just a Friday night,
- 10:22but to us, man, it's a whole lot more than
- 10:24just one night. I started singing in twenty twenty one.
- 10:28I'd never sang before in my life, and from that
- 10:30day forward, when I quit my job and I decided
- 10:32I'm going to be a country music singer. All the
- 10:35people that you don't see right now that are behind
- 10:37that stage jumped in to help me get right here,
- 10:39right now, and without every single one of those people,
- 10:42I would not be where I am today. So Knoxville,
- 10:45if you guys would make the loudest noise for my
- 10:48people in the back, his gratitude felt genuine, as he added,
- 10:52we love you guys so much. Without you, we would
- 10:54not be able to make this happen. I'd also like
- 10:56to thank every single person that bought a ticket tonight
- 11:00that this does not go unnoticed. I know that you
- 11:02spend your heart earned money to come see me in
- 11:04my band, and you guys could be anywhere else right now,
- 11:07but you chose to be right here. So thank you,
- 11:09Thank you. Zimmerman promised to deliver the best show possible,
- 11:13and he did. Over the two hours he was on stage.
- 11:16He kept the energy high with coming in Cold, delivered
- 11:18emotional performances with Before You and Your for the Breaking,
- 11:22and went intimate with fans on the B stage performing
- 11:25a cover of The Climb to inspire the audience to
- 11:28chase their dreams. He transformed the arena into a clublike
- 11:31atmosphere with All the Way his collaboration with Big exta
- 11:35Plug before returning to the main stage for selfies. High
- 11:38fives and a rowdy performance of New to Country with
- 11:42Hudson Westbrook. The show wrapped up with surprise appearances from
- 11:45University of Tennessee mascot Smokey and Davy, and Triumphant Clothes.
- 11:49With Zimmerman's biggest hits, Religiously Where It Ends and Rock
- 11:54and a Hard Place. It seems his name is off
- 11:56and overlooked when it comes to award shows, but seeing
- 11:59Zimmerman command and to sold out arena makes it clear
- 12:01he doesn't need validation. He's earned this moment. Bailey Zimmermann
- 12:05belongs as a headliner in country music. This journey has
- 12:08had its ups and downs, as we know, but watching
- 12:10him live on this tour feels like a redemption story
- 12:13in real time. He's grown not only as an entertainer,
- 12:16but as a singer and a man, proving that hard work, authenticity,
- 12:20and connecting with fans is the true measure of success.
- 12:23The Different Nights Saint Rodeo Tour is a can't miss show.
- 12:26If you're on the fence, just buy the tickets. You
- 12:29won't be disappointed, says Country Now. Next, Harper Grace talks
- 12:34faking her engagement and the hard choice behind if Daddy
- 12:38Says No. Love stories don't always come with a fairytale ending,
- 12:43and unfortunately that's a reality Harper Grace had to learn
- 12:46through a firsthand experience. In her new song if Daddy
- 12:50Says No, the Rising Star finds herself torn between choosing
- 12:54forever with someone and waiting for her dad's approval. During
- 12:58the process of writing the general Eras tune alongside Kyle
- 13:01Schlinger and Scott Stepakov, Grace believed she was in love
- 13:05with the man who would own one day be her husband.
- 13:08The only problem her father would not give his blessing,
- 13:10and growing up in Texas, his approval was very important
- 13:13to her. She eventually took a bird's eye view of
- 13:16the situation and realized that if she went against her
- 13:19father's wishes and ran off with the supposed man of
- 13:21her dreams, she might be setting herself up for a
- 13:23very unhappy life. I've always been really close with my dad,
- 13:27and this certain relationship just did not honor me, and
- 13:30it really didn't honor my dad. They had zero respect
- 13:33for my father and his upbringing with me and him
- 13:36literally just let alone being my dad. He was a
- 13:39wonderful dad, and this guy just was so disrespectful, and
- 13:42I was caught up in all of it. Luckily, I'm
- 13:44so grateful that my dad really did say no, she
- 13:46told Country Now. Those real life emotions that she experienced
- 13:50while trying to make the decision for herself unfold throughout
- 13:53this song in a very raw way. Even though the
- 13:56story doesn't directly reveal how things ultimately turned out with
- 14:00her dad, she lets the audience inside the interternal battle
- 14:03she was facing in that moment. The Texas native delivers
- 14:07lines about her other half being kind, stubborn, and wise,
- 14:10and then states that he actually reminds her of her dad,
- 14:13making the conflict at hand even harder. She gathers the
- 14:17facts from both sides and then runs through two possible
- 14:20scenarios in her head, running off into the sunset with
- 14:22the person she loves, or trusting her dad's opinion and
- 14:26waiting until approval comes with the right person. That emotional
- 14:30tension hits hardest in the chorus, where she admits she
- 14:32feels damned if I do, damned if I don't. We
- 14:35could run away in the sunset. He don't even need
- 14:38to know, but I want him to walk with me
- 14:40in a white dress, give my hand for you to hold.
- 14:43I see forever for worse or for better. But I
- 14:45can't say I will or if I won't. So I'm
- 14:48damned if I do, damned if I don't. If Daddy
- 14:50says no, she sings. By the second verse, the song
- 14:54adds another layer of depth as Grace tries to understand
- 14:56of her father's resistance comes from pride or fear she'll
- 15:00repeat his mistakes. As her soft edged vocals float over
- 15:04the intimate and heavy narrative of heart torn between love
- 15:07and approval, she leaves the story and that unresolved space,
- 15:11making it feel even more relatable. While listening to the
- 15:14lyrics closely, some might notice similarities between If Daddy Says
- 15:17No and Taylor Swift's classic love story, but Grace offers
- 15:21a different take on the modern day fairy tale theme.
- 15:24Instead of running away from the man despite her family's
- 15:26wishes as the story unfolds, in Swift's tale, she steps
- 15:30back from the relationship out of respect for the people
- 15:32she loves. That ful approach makes it clear she's not rebelling.
- 15:36She's trying to understand both sides of her heart. Grace
- 15:41acknowledged that the comparisons between the two tracks did come
- 15:43to mind back when she performed the song live while
- 15:46opening for Josh Turner. I had sat on stage one day.
- 15:49I said, it's like a version of love story. Instead
- 15:51of the romance of like he's going to get down
- 15:54on one knee and all the stuff that's going to happen.
- 15:56It's like a different perspective of it. If what he
- 15:59says no that matters so much, rather than this big
- 16:02old love story all happening right in front of your eyes.
- 16:05It's like the traumatic, sad side. But yeah, it definitely
- 16:08played in my head a little bit once I had
- 16:10written the song and had played it out a couple
- 16:12of times in order to promote if Daddy Says No,
- 16:15Harper Grayshock, fans would news that she was engaged. She
- 16:18teased the mystery man, sported a stunning diamond on her finger,
- 16:22and even dressed in white while discussing wedding preparations. The
- 16:26truth is it was all fake. Grace cleverly planned the
- 16:29promo ts so fans would be transported into the exact
- 16:32mindset as as she had when she wrote the tune.
- 16:37I think some people are probably going to think I'm
- 16:38crazy for faking my own engagement, but honestly, I got
- 16:41so into the artistic take on it because the song
- 16:44means so much to me. I wanted to put myself
- 16:46in the position of how I thought I would have
- 16:48played out if I went that route. I had this
- 16:51reoccurring nightmare in the midst of the relationship with this
- 16:54guy where he would be down on one knee asking
- 16:56me to marry him, and I would freeze up and
- 16:58I wouldn't know what to say. And that should have
- 17:01been my telltale sign a long time ago to peace
- 17:04out and leave. The Lord was probably speaking prophetically in
- 17:08my dreams, saying get out. It all led up to
- 17:11the just released music video, which features her real dad
- 17:14as well as a really close friend playing the role
- 17:16of her love interest and the man fans out fans
- 17:19thought she was engaged to. Anyone who paid close attention
- 17:23to the teasers across social media may have noticed that
- 17:26she has been dropping little puzzle pieces that tie the
- 17:28whole story together. I don't want to downplay anybody's real engagement,
- 17:32or anybody's real call off of an engagement, or anyone's
- 17:35real wedding. I want to be married. I want to
- 17:37be a wife. I want to be mom. I really
- 17:39really desire a spouse one day. But with this song
- 17:42in particular, I was like, I want to play into
- 17:44this creative, vulnerable, artistic side as much as I possibly can,
- 17:48and what better way than to fake my engagement. So
- 17:50that's what I did. She jokingly added that the next
- 17:53time anyone sees a ring on her finger, it will
- 17:55be real, because while she too has dreams of getting
- 17:58married becoming a wife one day, she's holding out until
- 18:01the right person comes along, who both she and her
- 18:04father approve of. Now we skip over to people dot
- 18:08Com when the first article dated March second, as well,

- 22:00an ATV again, as rolling his earlier this year left
- 22:04him with a broken collarbone. In the clip, Jelly Roll
- 22:07was seen walking around the repaired ATV before sharing a
- 22:10photo of his X ray, a snap of him on
- 22:13stage at the Grammy Awards, and the damaged vehicle before
- 22:16it was fixed. He all just took this thing out
- 22:19for the first time and I flipped it, said Jelly Roll.
- 22:21I broke my collar bone. I was so scared to
- 22:23get back on this thing. I just knew if I
- 22:25didn't get back on it sooner than later, I was
- 22:27just going to be more and more afraid of it.
- 22:29He continued. I'll tell you what, though, my brother got
- 22:32it fixed, dude, and he killed it. It's brand new.
- 22:35I figured I had totaled it Inita favorite singer revealed
- 22:38that he wanted to share the accident because the congratulatory
- 22:42Hugsy received after his Grammy wins came to his mind
- 22:45while riding the ATV. I'm just thinking I was out
- 22:48there running all over the Grammys with a broken collarbone,
- 22:51said Jelly Roll. Every time I hugged somebody that week,
- 22:53I wanted to scream. I just didn't say it. But
- 22:56every time somebody squeezed me, dude, I thought I was
- 22:58gonna cry. Times. The machine can do more than the
- 23:01user thinks it can. This was all user error, he said,
- 23:04of coping with the pain. Anyways, moral of the story,
- 23:07get back on that pony, baby, Love you all, he concluded.
- 23:11Wife Bunny XO also shared on her own video, which
- 23:13featured Jelly born Jason to Ford as we all know,
- 23:16in a hospital bed wearing a gown and neck brace.
- 23:19This happened to January. Worst phone call to ever get
- 23:22but we got through it, thank goodness, and these healed completely.
- 23:26Now we head on over to Taste of Country. Also,
- 23:29the first article had the same date of March second.
- 23:31Morgan Wallen's Don't We is more than just a hometown
- 23:35pride song. Morgan Wallen has a number of songs about
- 23:38how proud he is to be from a small town,
- 23:41but Don't We is special because it's direct conversation with
- 23:44his fans. Wallin's talking directly to his fellow country born
- 23:48listeners about a secret that the city slickers just don't understand.
- 23:52How special it is to have your own quiet spot
- 23:54on your properties back forty and how comforting it feels
- 23:58the cruise around a downtown strip that hasn't changed since
- 24:01the day you were born. The song features bittersweet prayer
- 24:04for towns like Wallin's to never fade Away, as well
- 24:07as a patriotic salute to US soldiers stationed overseas. Those
- 24:11inclusions make don't We more emotional than your standard hometown
- 24:14party anthem. The latter point also created opportunity for a
- 24:18special patriotic moment in Wallin's I'm the Problem to Her.
- 24:23During his set, when Wallin got to the part of
- 24:25the song where he sang, not everybody takes off their
- 24:27hat stands for the flag that them boys overseas God
- 24:30on their sleeves, an American flag unfurled on a backdrop
- 24:34on the screen behind him. Concert goers also watched a
- 24:37clip of some US fighter aircraft fleets soaring across the sky. So,
- 24:42despite catchy rhythms and hip hop inflected beats, don't We
- 24:45as a little more sobering than some of Wallen's other
- 24:48hometown pride songs, and it captures a full snapshot of
- 24:51rural life. Don't We comes from Wallin's twenty twenty five
- 24:55I'm The Problem album. It's one of a whopping thirty
- 24:58seven tracks on the project per Us Radio Updater's ex profile.
- 25:04Don't We will head to country radio this week. It's
- 25:06his eighth single off I'm the Problem. Previous singles include Lies, Lies, Lives,
- 25:11Love Somebody, I'm the Problem, Just in Case, What I
- 25:14Want with Tate McCrae, I Got Better, and twenty Cigarettes.
- 25:18All of those have hit number one on the Billboard
- 25:20Country Airplate charts, with the exception of what I Want,
- 25:23which was sent to pop radio and placed at number
- 25:26six on the Pop Airplate chart next. Last week, we
- 25:30mentioned about Alan Jackson hanging up the guitar. Jackson performed
- 25:35an all time country classic during his Grand Old Opry debut.
- 25:39Jackson was just a country newcomer with a promising new
- 25:42single when he made his debut on the Grand Old Opry.
- 25:44The future superstar performed his then current single here in
- 25:47the Real World. When he debuted on the hollowed stage
- 25:50back on March third, nineteen ninety, Jackson had actually seen
- 25:54his debut single, Blue Blooded Woman, stiff at country radio
- 25:58or leased in nineteen eighty nine in advance of his
- 26:01debut album, Here in the Real World. Blue Blooded Woman
- 26:04stalled at number forty five. Arista followed up by releasing
- 26:08the album's title song as its second single in January
- 26:10of ninety, and it was already gaining significant steam by
- 26:14the time Jackson performed it at the Opry after an
- 26:16introduction from Jimmy C. Newman. It was a highlight for
- 26:20the aspiring country star, whose previous day job had included
- 26:23delivering mail to the Opry. Here in the Real World
- 26:27would peak at number three on Billboard's Hot Country Songs
- 26:30chart just over a month later, on April twentieth. In
- 26:33nineteen ninety, launching Jackson as a major new artist in
- 26:36country music. He continued his winning streak with Wanted and
- 26:40Chasin That neon Rainbow before scoring his first number one
- 26:43hit with I'd Love You All Over Again, his fifth
- 26:46and final single from the debut album. Jackson helped usher
- 26:50in a new wave of country music traditionalists in nineteen ninety,
- 26:53and he was inducted into the Opry as a full
- 26:55member on June seventh, nineteen ninety one, just over a
- 26:58year after making his debut on the Historic stage. The
- 27:03ultimate dream when you're in country music is to be
- 27:05asked to join the grand old Opera. Jackson says, you
- 27:08think about people like Hank Williams and mister Acoff and
- 27:11George Jones who stood on that spot of wood. That's
- 27:14what makes you so nervous to think about the historical
- 27:16part of the opry and how it's played such an
- 27:18important part in country music. Over his three decade plus career,
- 27:24Alan Jackson has released some of the most essential country
- 27:26music songs ever. His catalog includes classic barnburners like Chattahoochee,
- 27:31tender ballads like Remember When, and everything in between. No
- 27:35matter which songs is your favorite, it's hard to dispute
- 27:38that Jackson's music changed the country music genre forever. So
