- 0:01Speaker 1: You're listening to Bill Handle on demand from KFI AM
- 0:05Speaker 1: six forty.
- 0:08Speaker 2: I love the spokesperson and the statement they made. Any
- 0:15Speaker 2: brand or packaging configuration that is put on hiatus is
- 0:18Speaker 2: still a cherished part of our history and hopefully our future.
- 0:22Speaker 2: We continually look for opportunities to bring back beloved brands,
- 0:26Speaker 2: and customer feedback is important.
- 0:28Speaker 3: Does that mean you're going to bring back Schlitz?
- 0:30Speaker 1: Well, no, I want to hold onto this story because
- 0:33Speaker 1: it's gonna be a great obituary for you.
- 0:36Speaker 3: Oh thanks, Come and now handle on the news, ladies
- 0:41Speaker 3: and gentlemen. Here's Bill Handle. All right.
- 0:46Speaker 2: It is a Thursday morning, May twenty one, and here
- 0:52Speaker 2: we are.
- 0:53Speaker 3: Everybody another day or another.
- 0:56Speaker 2: I always say this another dollar except s eighty five cents.
- 1:00Speaker 3: Today we are going to have probably one.
- 1:03Speaker 2: Of I think most important entertaining topics that I think
- 1:08Speaker 2: we've ever had in the history of this show. And
- 1:11Speaker 2: I've been doing the show now come July thirty three years.
- 1:15Speaker 3: Okay. So when I.
- 1:16Speaker 2: Say this is a topic that you pay particular attention to,
- 1:21Speaker 2: you do.
- 1:22Speaker 3: And it's coming.
- 1:23Speaker 2: Up at eight twenty and is entitled the Men who
- 1:27Speaker 2: Want their Foreskins Back and there's a lot of science
- 1:32Speaker 2: to this.
- 1:33Speaker 3: There is a lot of well i'm bullying, tugging, Yeah,
- 1:38Speaker 3: a lot of tugging.
- 1:39Speaker 1: A lot of.
- 1:41Speaker 3: It's coming up at eight thirty. Is that what I did?
- 1:44Speaker 1: Oh?
- 1:44Speaker 3: Okay, we need a new rundown? Yeah, I sent to that. Yeah,
- 1:47Speaker 3: I know I took a long one.
- 1:49Speaker 1: She was, I'm going to do it at eighty eight thirty. Indeed,
- 1:53Speaker 1: but she trimmed a little bit, all like, it's.
- 1:57Speaker 3: Okay, we'll deal with it at the break.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Uh let him, let him?
- 2:03Speaker 3: Yeah, Yeah, looking for paperwork.
- 2:07Speaker 2: I put the wrong rundown. We change it all the time.
- 2:10Speaker 2: By the way, the show is very fluid.
- 2:13Speaker 1: You the one with the big hand master. It says
- 2:15Speaker 1: new rundown both hours.
- 2:17Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 2:18Speaker 1: Yeah. I try to make it obvious and great job
- 2:24Speaker 1: on the left floor.
- 2:25Speaker 3: The I get that, I get a little confused. Okay. Anyway,
- 2:28Speaker 3: Good morning Neil once again, you know driving this show.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Yeah I would.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Uh that's Neil sharing a little inside lacrosse. Uh that
- 2:39Speaker 2: we talk about here on the show Cono. Good morning,
- 2:42Speaker 2: good morning, and Amy there you are, Hi Bill, Hi,
- 2:46Speaker 2: No Disneyland Garb or just or l A Dodgers Garb
- 2:51Speaker 2: Dodger blue.
- 2:52Speaker 3: Yeah, it is. That is that Dodgers blue.
- 2:54Speaker 4: Dodgers blue, beautiful blue.
- 2:57Speaker 3: All right, and.
- 3:00Speaker 4: They're not playing today, by the.
- 3:01Speaker 2: Way, now Will good morning. He's also wearing blue, but
- 3:05Speaker 2: sort of a muddied. It's navy dark navy navy. Okay,
- 3:11Speaker 2: there you are. And uh, there's why don't I go
- 3:14Speaker 2: through clothes? I don't know why I do this. I'm
- 3:18Speaker 2: I just absolutely invested in people's clothes. I don't why
- 3:23Speaker 2: wearing one. If you wear Hawaiian shirts, I am winning
- 3:26Speaker 2: or wear Hawaiian shirts.
- 3:27Speaker 4: I brought see that every day.
- 3:28Speaker 3: I bought a bunch of more.
- 3:30Speaker 2: I bought a bunch of Costco and I came home
- 3:34Speaker 2: and Lindsay said, oh, you brought some shirts to return.
- 3:38Speaker 2: I said, well no. She handed me the receipt and said,
- 3:42Speaker 2: here you go. And uh, all right, so I'm returning
- 3:46Speaker 2: the shirts.
- 3:49Speaker 3: Why is that? Because I make so many decisions at home,
- 3:52Speaker 3: that's why.
- 3:53Speaker 1: Oh yeah, you're a kept man.
- 3:57Speaker 3: Oh I am a kept man. Yeah, there's no question.
- 4:00Speaker 3: Is uh? Moving on? All right?
- 4:03Speaker 2: And Neil Cono, Uh, I said hello to everybody.
- 4:08Speaker 3: All right, fair enough, let's see what we have going today.
- 4:11Speaker 2: The foreskin story oh man, Uh, there is so much
- 4:15Speaker 2: to the foreskin story I'm going to share with you.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Uh and uh.
- 4:19Speaker 2: Of course, a couple of personal a couple of personal stories,
- 4:23Speaker 2: I might add, and that most of us are are
- 4:28Speaker 2: our circumcised a matter of fact.
- 4:29Speaker 3: Let's go around the room, cono yes or no?
- 4:34Speaker 1: Well?
- 4:35Speaker 3: Yes, okay? Uh, Neil, yeah, yep? How about you? Will?
- 4:44Speaker 3: Is this something I have to answer?
- 4:46Speaker 2: Yes?
- 4:46Speaker 3: Yes, otherwise you're not on the show. Yes, yes or no.
- 4:50Speaker 1: I might be a little more natural than others. Oh
- 4:53Speaker 1: your pore.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Burian you you absolutely are bare. Oh my god, he's
- 5:02Speaker 2: more I know. Yeah, he's damn right. Will the middle
- 5:06Speaker 2: name his nickname was ant eater when he was going
- 5:09Speaker 2: through school. Okay, I'm not going to ask Uh.
- 5:16Speaker 3: I'm not going to.
- 5:17Speaker 2: Ask and Amy because if the answer was, well, we want,
- 5:23Speaker 2: we don't want to go there because there there are limits. Start,
- 5:27Speaker 2: there are limits. I think there are limits to privacy,
- 5:31Speaker 2: are there not? And I think I may have just
- 5:33Speaker 2: reached that limit handle on the nudes. Okay, guys, enough
- 5:38Speaker 2: of us start. How long did it take us to
- 5:40Speaker 2: get right into uh? Normally I think three minutes into
- 5:45Speaker 2: the show. Yeah, we did it.
- 5:46Speaker 3: Okay, fair enough. All right, let's do it, guys.
- 5:49Speaker 2: We have a fair amount of serious news as well
- 5:52Speaker 2: as some fun this morning. It's time for Handle on
- 5:55Speaker 2: the News with Amy Neil and me lead story. Well,
- 6:02Speaker 2: the backlash on President Trump's plan to set up that
- 6:07Speaker 2: one point eight billion dollar fund to compensate victims of
- 6:12Speaker 2: weaponization and law fare has just hit a wall. I mean,
- 6:17Speaker 2: even Trump's supporters are saying, come on, you can't do this.
- 6:24Speaker 3: Because the plan was to pay people who.
- 6:28Speaker 2: Were prosecuted and persecuted also under the Biden administration, because
- 6:34Speaker 2: the DOJ was weaponized and today the DOJ is not
- 6:38Speaker 2: being weaponized going after enemies. The president is just following
- 6:43Speaker 2: the constitution and is just making right what went wrong?
- 6:47Speaker 2: And asked, by the way, and even Todd Blanche, the
- 6:51Speaker 2: acting Attorney General, will say, wait a minute, this will
- 6:54Speaker 2: include the if the president decides or has said that
- 6:59Speaker 2: the ja unwary six, the folks who have ran the capitol,
- 7:03Speaker 2: the rioters, since he has said that they were unfairly arrested, prosecuted,
- 7:10Speaker 2: they were patriots. This was a peaceful demonstration. Are they
- 7:15Speaker 2: going to get money from the taxpayers? And Blanche just
- 7:20Speaker 2: started spinning, Well, people get money all the time. Who
- 7:25Speaker 2: you know, police officers get money all the time from
- 7:29Speaker 2: folks that are that have attacked them. I mean, it
- 7:33Speaker 2: was just the bottom line. I'm confusing it a little
- 7:36Speaker 2: bit because if I'm confused right now, But.
- 7:38Speaker 3: The bottom line is they would not go away.
- 7:41Speaker 2: He basically said, yeah, yeah, under this new plan, the cops,
- 7:47Speaker 2: the folks who beat up the police officers one hundred
- 7:50Speaker 2: and fifty of them and overran the capitol could ask
- 7:54Speaker 2: for renunration.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Who is there a court or something that that's.
- 8:00Speaker 2: The other thing. Oh, that's the other thing. Who is
- 8:02Speaker 2: going to decide who and how much? It'll be the
- 8:06Speaker 2: Department of Justice that makes that decision. So it will
- 8:09Speaker 2: be the Trump administration who believes that those seditionists who
- 8:16Speaker 2: attack the capital are innocent and we're the victims of
- 8:21Speaker 2: the government, and he's going to make it right by
- 8:23Speaker 2: giving them money. And Republicans, I mean, you had Fune,
- 8:28Speaker 2: you had others that just said that wins the line.
- 8:32Speaker 3: We're not going to cross. This is going to go
- 8:34Speaker 3: no place.
- 8:34Speaker 2: I'll tell you that right now, and I'll talk more
- 8:38Speaker 2: about that at seven am, because that'll be the first
- 8:41Speaker 2: story we talk about when we start the segments.
- 8:46Speaker 4: The big beautiful ballroom is apparently a billion short. Senate
- 8:51Speaker 4: Republicans are going to strip out the one billion dollar
- 8:55Speaker 4: Secret Service funding request from their immigration bill that they're
- 9:00Speaker 4: doing through reconciliation to fund ice and Customs and Border patrol.
- 9:05Speaker 4: Apparently two reasons behind this one is that the Senate
- 9:10Speaker 4: Parliamentarian ruled over the weekend that the provision to put
- 9:14Speaker 4: that billion dollars in didn't comply with rules governing what
- 9:18Speaker 4: Republicans can put in a filibuster skirting bill that wouldn't
- 9:21Speaker 4: need Democratic support. And then several GOP senators have publicly
- 9:27Speaker 4: aired concerns about including any ballroom funding in a bill
- 9:30Speaker 4: that's otherwise dedicated to immigration enforcement.
- 9:33Speaker 2: Yeah, and look at the premise here. Remember it was
- 9:35Speaker 2: going to be all donated dollars. Taxpayer wasn't going to
- 9:40Speaker 2: pay a dime. Then it turned into a billion dollar
- 9:43Speaker 2: project was quote for security. That's what the ballroom and
- 9:49Speaker 2: the whole I guess the whole compound is now security,
- 9:53Speaker 2: and I guess the ballroom's being thrown in. Have you
- 9:56Speaker 2: heard recently that the private donations are going to be
- 9:59Speaker 2: bi bid the ballroom or have you heard that it's
- 10:04Speaker 2: all about security for the president, and I.
- 10:07Speaker 1: Don't know that.
- 10:08Speaker 2: We've been told. Actually, oh yeah, we've been told. We've
- 10:12Speaker 2: been told the Trump. Matter of fact, there was a
- 10:15Speaker 2: tour that he had reporters go out there to the
- 10:17Speaker 2: construction site.
- 10:19Speaker 3: And he said, this is all about security. That's what
- 10:22Speaker 3: this is.
- 10:23Speaker 1: You know how many high speed trains you cannot build
- 10:27Speaker 1: with that money. It's what a waste.
- 10:29Speaker 2: Now with a billion dollars, you can do about thirty
- 10:33Speaker 2: four feet of a train.
- 10:36Speaker 1: Maybe our government man. Seven people have been charged in
- 10:41Speaker 1: connection with a surgeon residential burglaries there in the San
- 10:45Speaker 1: Fernande Valley. A brazen, incredibly calculated predator, predatory crews of
- 10:54Speaker 1: thieves that are just prowling neighborhoods, smashing their way into homes,
- 11:00Speaker 1: they said. So the suspects are accused of participating in
- 11:03Speaker 1: at least twenty home burglaries. While it's high end handbags, watches, jewelries,
- 11:09Speaker 1: all the same things that you would think and La
- 11:12Speaker 1: County Sheriff Robert Lunas said these recent arrested suspects conducted
- 11:18Speaker 1: extensive research on properties before they attempted to break in,
- 11:22Speaker 1: which is becoming more and more the case.
- 11:26Speaker 2: Yeah, we were victims at the Persian Palace where they
- 11:32Speaker 2: break in the second story and go into the clauses,
- 11:36Speaker 2: master bedroom clauses, because that's where people keep money and
- 11:38Speaker 2: keep their bags. And I remember getting called from Marjorie
- 11:41Speaker 2: and she was like devastated. She said, Bill, you know
- 11:44Speaker 2: those handbags you know that costs thousands of dollars were
- 11:48Speaker 2: stolen to go, Well, not quite thousands of dollars. It's
- 11:53Speaker 2: I have to admit it to you. They were about
- 11:55Speaker 2: seventy two dollars each and they were knockoffs. So yeah,
- 12:01Speaker 2: pretty much. Yeah, so we so it was okay for US.
- 12:07Speaker 4: Re entry almost blocked. The White House apparently resisted allowing
- 12:13Speaker 4: US doctor who was exposed to ebola to come back
- 12:16Speaker 4: to the United States. Peter Stafford, was ultimately transported to Germany.
- 12:23Speaker 4: Infectious disease doctors who have cared for ebola patients say
- 12:27Speaker 4: the mainstay of treatment for this disease, because it's so
- 12:30Speaker 4: contagious and spread so quickly, is getting early recognition that
- 12:34Speaker 4: somebody has been infected, and then effective isolation and advanced
- 12:38Speaker 4: supportive care because the infection can progress within days to
- 12:41Speaker 4: multi organ failure.
- 12:44Speaker 3: Don't you find it interesting that.
- 12:46Speaker 2: Obviously, the US has these centers where it's complete isolation,
- 12:53Speaker 2: you know, bubble people live in bubbles and.
- 12:55Speaker 3: Has matt suits.
- 12:56Speaker 2: And why the doctor wasn't allowed in the United States
- 13:00Speaker 2: I find that kind of interesting. And someone in the CDC,
- 13:03Speaker 2: I guess made that decision.
- 13:04Speaker 4: Although you know what, last time there was an outbreak
- 13:06Speaker 4: and they brought somebody in and I think they might
- 13:08Speaker 4: have taken them to Nebraska where they took those people
- 13:10Speaker 4: with hantavirus, I think. But I was like, going, why
- 13:13Speaker 4: are you letting them in the US spread so quickly?
- 13:17Speaker 2: And it does, but you can but you can contain
- 13:20Speaker 2: it very quickly, especially if there's a safety factress.
- 13:24Speaker 3: I'm not making much value judgment. I may have ordered
- 13:27Speaker 3: the same thing.
- 13:28Speaker 2: So you know, off they went to Germany, and I
- 13:31Speaker 2: guess he went to Germany.
- 13:34Speaker 4: But then another doctor and that doctor's family they're back
- 13:38Speaker 4: in the US.
- 13:39Speaker 3: Now, but they were they symptomatic.
- 13:41Speaker 4: They were not symptomatic. This is the one doctor is
- 13:43Speaker 4: the only one who's symptomatic.
- 13:47Speaker 1: On that very note, in air France flight from Paris
- 13:50Speaker 1: to Detroit, Wow, that's a horrible flight from Paris to Detroit.
- 13:57Speaker 1: Who all right to divert to Montreal on Wednesday due
- 14:03Speaker 1: to US flight restrictions linked to the EPULA out break.
- 14:07Speaker 1: So it was determined one of the passengers was from
- 14:10Speaker 1: the Democratic Republic of Congo and Air France boarded the
- 14:15Speaker 1: passenger in area on a flight to the United States.
- 14:20Speaker 4: Well, why did the person try to get on the plane?
- 14:23Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 14:24Speaker 2: And how do they let them on the plane? Because
- 14:26Speaker 2: people from Congo generally don't wear shoes.
- 14:33Speaker 3: Okay, do you have to wear shoes?
- 14:36Speaker 2: Yes, you do, that's for starters. And he was asked,
- 14:39Speaker 2: did you ever own a pair of shoes? And he goes,
- 14:41Speaker 2: what are shoes?
- 14:42Speaker 3: All right? Moving on? Yeah, that was a little bit
- 14:47Speaker 3: of a stretch. But it can be argued that Beirit.
- 14:51Speaker 1: Airline was still around, they wouldn't have noticed nobody shoes,
- 14:55Speaker 1: that's true.
- 14:56Speaker 4: Talk about a dirty beach, The beach around the Santa
- 15:03Speaker 4: Monic appear has been named one of California's dirtiest. I
- 15:06Speaker 4: Heal the Bay. This isn't the first time. It's the
- 15:09Speaker 4: fifth consecutive year. There's an annual beach report card. They
- 15:13Speaker 4: call it a beach Bummer Card. It examines the amount
- 15:17Speaker 4: of fecal pollution measured along the West coast, so all
- 15:20Speaker 4: the way from Baja up to the state of Washington.
- 15:22Speaker 2: Yeah, that sounds absolutely delightful, doesn't isn't it?
- 15:25Speaker 3: It does? And isn't Santa Monica like the number one
- 15:29Speaker 3: beach in the country in terms of filth and.
- 15:32Speaker 1: Pollution because it's a homeless toilet.
- 15:37Speaker 2: Also, yeah, there's that, but every time there's a good rain,
- 15:41Speaker 2: the hyperion plant which is near there, No, actually I
- 15:43Speaker 2: think it's an hyperion plant is south of that, but
- 15:48Speaker 2: that's our waste plant and it tends to overflow, and
- 15:52Speaker 2: it's just it's horrible. And then people don't understand the
- 15:56Speaker 2: Santa Monica peer. Those swimmers don't understand the concept of toilets.
- 16:02Speaker 2: They all come from the congo. Okay, all right?
- 16:06Speaker 1: The iconic ad Sullivan Theater Marquee lights up, and Stephen
- 16:11Speaker 1: Colbert takes the stage for one last time. Man that
- 16:15Speaker 1: seemed to go quickly for the final broadcast of The
- 16:18Speaker 1: Late Show on CBS, it is tonight, thirty years of
- 16:23Speaker 1: late night TV. There, of course David Letterman and the like,
- 16:27Speaker 1: and there's just been a revolving door of amazing guests
- 16:31Speaker 1: as this particular franchise finale comes.
- 16:35Speaker 3: I have a question. I have a question.
- 16:38Speaker 2: Is it the forty million dollars a year that the
- 16:41Speaker 2: network says that it is losing or is it a
- 16:47Speaker 2: cow towing caving into the administration that that just wanted
- 16:55Speaker 2: him fired. I think they wanted I think they wanted
- 16:59Speaker 2: Jimmy Kimmel fired far more. But ABC, Tamical Pound, sand CBS, Well,
- 17:04Speaker 2: CBS was in that whole thing with the paramount sky
- 17:08Speaker 2: Dance purchase, wasn't it.
- 17:09Speaker 1: Yeah, but it's all money. Nobody's gonna throw away money
- 17:13Speaker 1: for any you think so.
- 17:16Speaker 2: When you're on the wrong side of the administration and
- 17:18Speaker 2: you're looking at a concerted effort to shut down the company.
- 17:23Speaker 3: Yeah, there's times when it's beyond money.
- 17:25Speaker 1: Maybe Jimmy Kimmel, maybe, But I don't know, man, either,
- 17:31Speaker 1: you're making money for the company and you're the best
- 17:34Speaker 1: thing in the world. I think all the late night
- 17:36Speaker 1: shows are going to go the way to the Dodo Bird.
- 17:39Speaker 3: Yeah, and that's true. I mean it's true there.
- 17:41Speaker 2: But then you talk about anything that is super expensive
- 17:45Speaker 2: that's on network television these days, it's just I think
- 17:49Speaker 2: you're right, it's just they're in trouble. I think they're
- 17:51Speaker 2: in trouble because it is all about money.
- 17:53Speaker 1: That's it.
- 17:53Speaker 3: It's it's money.
- 17:54Speaker 2: However, I'm questioning whether this one is about money because
- 17:58Speaker 2: I think there are politics like crazy throughout this whole incident.
- 18:03Speaker 4: What a horrible way to go. Remember we told you
- 18:05Speaker 4: about that woman who fell into a manhole in New
- 18:09Speaker 4: York City and ended up dying. So she steps out
- 18:11Speaker 4: of her Mercedes suv into an open manhole, and they're
- 18:16Speaker 4: saying that her cause of death was skulld burns and
- 18:20Speaker 4: other injuries. So she was burned when she fell into
- 18:24Speaker 4: the manhole that had the steam in it, she had
- 18:26Speaker 4: blunt forced trauma toward torso. And then also they said
- 18:30Speaker 4: that like she was inhaling the steam that's one hundred
- 18:33Speaker 4: and twenty degrees and that seizes up your throat had
- 18:36Speaker 4: to have been awful. They did rule the death an accident.
- 18:39Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, clearly it was an accident. I mean
- 18:40Speaker 2: it's gonna be a lawsuit, clearly. I mean, there's no
- 18:42Speaker 2: question about it. A truck. I think they have the
- 18:46Speaker 2: video of a truck before a prior to the accident.
- 18:49Speaker 1: But how can rolling that on anything?
- 18:51Speaker 4: Yeah, Well, I mean some things are just an accident,
- 18:53Speaker 4: aren't they That's true.
- 18:54Speaker 2: Now, the argument is going to be that the manhole,
- 18:57Speaker 2: the way they cover up these they cover up those holes,
- 19:02Speaker 2: was defective in design and a truck could or there
- 19:05Speaker 2: should have been foreseeable that a truck could dislodge it.
- 19:09Speaker 2: And that's going to be the argument. You know, had
- 19:12Speaker 2: they designed it better, because.
- 19:13Speaker 3: Trucks do roll over. They ad a lot of trucks that
- 19:16Speaker 3: already have.
- 19:16Speaker 1: To prove that this happened a bunch of times or something.
- 19:19Speaker 3: No, no, no, you can look at foreseeability. You should
- 19:23Speaker 3: have known.
- 19:23Speaker 1: Do they still call it an accident or they call
- 19:26Speaker 1: it on purpose?
- 19:28Speaker 3: No, they don't call it on purpose. I mean they
- 19:29Speaker 3: call it an accident.
- 19:30Speaker 2: But his negligence is what they're going to argue is
- 19:33Speaker 2: that the design was wrong. Yeah, of course it was
- 19:35Speaker 2: an accident. But well, I don't know in these cases.
- 19:39Speaker 2: Let me tell you something. This was pretty horrific.
- 19:42Speaker 1: It is horrific.
- 19:43Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, I'm not a big fan of lawsuits.
- 19:47Speaker 1: Well, actually i am.
- 19:49Speaker 3: I am. You know, I think most lawyers way, yeah,
- 19:53Speaker 3: not so good.
- 19:54Speaker 2: But I think there's an occasional case where this works out.
- 19:58Speaker 2: You remember the stella they give because that woman Stella
- 20:03Speaker 2: went to the McDonald's I think, and then the bottom
- 20:05Speaker 2: dropped out of the cup and that suit if you
- 20:09Speaker 2: actually read that story for the Fork Report, I did
- 20:13Speaker 2: a deep dive on it one time.
- 20:15Speaker 1: That's the real deal. It wasn't. It wasn't what people thought.
- 20:19Speaker 2: People they argue that it was. There were a lot
- 20:22Speaker 2: of pieces to that. They the bottom did drop out,
- 20:27Speaker 2: she was scalded third degree burns in her nether regions.
- 20:32Speaker 2: I mean it was really bad because she was wearing
- 20:35Speaker 2: capri pants that sort of held in the heat.
- 20:38Speaker 3: And there was an.
- 20:39Speaker 2: Email that was what killed McDonald saying, you know what,
- 20:42Speaker 2: it is hot where our customers want the coffee hot,
- 20:45Speaker 2: and we'll just suck up any lawsuits if people get burnt,
- 20:49Speaker 2: because it's going to be cheaper than it's cheaper than
- 20:53Speaker 2: that works better than getting our customers pissed off. So anyway,
- 20:56Speaker 2: the point is there are a lot of different ways
- 20:58Speaker 2: of dealing with this, and they're gonna suit for negligence
- 21:00Speaker 2: it it'll work.
- 21:01Speaker 1: I have no idea. All right. Child's safety advocates say
- 21:06Speaker 1: that roadblocks if you're not familiar and don't have kids.
- 21:09Speaker 1: Massively popular gaming platform it's kind of like like cable TV,
- 21:17Speaker 1: but for games. It just has a bunch a bunch
- 21:20Speaker 1: a bunch a bunch a bunch of games that the
- 21:23Speaker 1: kids can flip through. Fair Play in the National Center
- 21:27Speaker 1: of Sexual Exploitation have requested that the FTC the Federal
- 21:31Speaker 1: Trade Commission investigate the games on roadblocks that are designed
- 21:35Speaker 1: to make kids spend anhealthy amount of time and money
- 21:40Speaker 1: because you can buy things on there with what they
- 21:41Speaker 1: call robucks on their screens, so core user young kids.
- 21:49Speaker 1: There are ways to communicate with other players which allow
- 21:53Speaker 1: unsavory types to communicate with children and that type of thing.
- 21:56Speaker 2: See, I don't know, I look at this, I go,
- 21:59Speaker 2: I don't see a problem with allowing six year olds
- 22:03Speaker 2: to use Yamity as credit cards and spend four hundred
- 22:05Speaker 2: dollars a month on this stuff.
- 22:07Speaker 1: Well, I think it's perfectly legitimate to me work exactly
- 22:11Speaker 1: that way. But yeah, it's it is addicting.
- 22:17Speaker 4: Where no man has gone before. SpaceX has confirmed plans
- 22:22Speaker 4: to sell shares if it's stock to the public for
- 22:24Speaker 4: the first time. That's according to a securities filing. The
- 22:28Speaker 4: initial public offering could make CEO Elon Musk the world's
- 22:32Speaker 4: first trillionaire. He's already the richest guy on the planet.
- 22:37Speaker 4: Yeahsty seven billion.
- 22:39Speaker 2: Yeah, he would have to meet certain criteria that's going
- 22:45Speaker 2: to be virtually impossible, the kind of profits to make,
- 22:48Speaker 2: and it's not, but he may end up being stuck
- 22:50Speaker 2: with only you know, being three four.
- 22:52Speaker 3: Hundred billion dollars of wealth, so that.
- 22:55Speaker 4: Is really no, he's already worth six sixty seven.
- 22:59Speaker 3: Oh okay, six hundred and sixties.
- 23:01Speaker 2: So he's always all, oh, okay, well, well I didn't
- 23:04Speaker 2: know it was out high, but okay, that's that extra three.
- 23:07Speaker 3: Hundred billion dollar is really important stuff, isn't it.
- 23:10Speaker 1: Oh you're a poor, phil You're a poor Yeah.
- 23:14Speaker 3: No kidding, everybody's poor compared to him.
- 23:16Speaker 1: All right, So, uh, less than two weeks to the primary,
- 23:20Speaker 1: President Trump is weighing in on who his favorite candidate
- 23:24Speaker 1: for the LA mayor race is. Of course, it's reality
- 23:28Speaker 1: TV star and Palisades Fire victor victim, Spencer Pratt. You
- 23:32Speaker 1: know what's hilarious is Spencer Pratt. These AI videos that
- 23:37Speaker 1: he's been putting out for you know, on the cheap.
- 23:40Speaker 1: There was one that I saw yesterday where it's three
- 23:45Speaker 1: guys and all they're saying is you know, I'm not
- 23:47Speaker 1: Maga or anything, but he does have some good ideas
- 23:50Speaker 1: that Spencer Pratt and then the other guy's like, yeah,
- 23:54Speaker 1: I heard some of his ideas too. I mean, I'm
- 23:56Speaker 1: not Maga or anything. And the other guy's like, well,
- 23:59Speaker 1: I'm not Maga or anything, but yeah. I just I'm
- 24:01Speaker 1: sick of La being horrible, but I'm not Mago or anything.
- 24:04Speaker 2: It's very funny. Also, the President said, I'd like to
- 24:07Speaker 2: see him do well. He's a character. I heard he's
- 24:10Speaker 2: a big Maga person. He's doing well.
- 24:13Speaker 3: He doesn't even know who he is. You read these quotes,
- 24:19Speaker 3: doesn't it tell you that the President had no idea
- 24:21Speaker 3: who this guy was.
- 24:26Speaker 4: And we'll see if that endorsement sticks in lament.
- 24:30Speaker 2: Uh well, okay. Other than I'd like to see him
- 24:33Speaker 2: do well, he's a character. I'm gonna argue that's an endorsement,
- 24:40Speaker 2: but that's my take on.
- 24:41Speaker 1: I will tell you you've got to watch the latest
- 24:43Speaker 1: video that is a parody of the Lego movie Everything
- 24:48Speaker 1: is Awesome song, but it's called Everything is Awful and
- 24:51Speaker 1: it's all about bass in La Hilarious.
- 24:56Speaker 4: Natural causes or not, The La County Medical Examiner has
- 25:02Speaker 4: ruled that the twelve year old girl from the San
- 25:05Speaker 4: Fernando Valley. You'll probably remember that she died after an
- 25:08Speaker 4: alleged bullying incident at her school, but the medical examiner
- 25:13Speaker 4: says she died of natural causes. Her name was Kimberly Zavaleta.
- 25:17Speaker 4: She was a high school student in Mersita, and the
- 25:23Speaker 4: medical examiner says she died from a spontaneously ruptured Sarah
- 25:28Speaker 4: Beller arterio venus malformation, which is a very rare thing.
- 25:34Speaker 4: It's called AVM. It's an assembly of fragile, tangled, high
- 25:39Speaker 4: pressure blood vessels that are prone to spontaneous rupturing.
- 25:44Speaker 1: Especially when you're hit with a metal with your head.
- 25:47Speaker 4: Yeah, when you're hit with a metal water bottle in
- 25:50Speaker 4: the head. So she was treated, she went to the
- 25:53Speaker 4: hospital after that happened, and then they released her, and
- 25:56Speaker 4: then she went into a coleman and died a few
- 25:58Speaker 4: days later.
- 26:00Speaker 2: Yeah, and I'm assuming it lost Jim, but I was
- 26:03Speaker 2: talking to him the other day and he said, if
- 26:05Speaker 2: there isn't even a hint of issues with your head,
- 26:10Speaker 2: you go unconscious, you fall, you've been hit. You're in
- 26:12Speaker 2: the er so quickly and they give you an MRI
- 26:16Speaker 2: that minute to find out what's wrong. So I assume
- 26:20Speaker 2: that's what happened here. But I mean, the mom of course,
- 26:23Speaker 2: is going to argue that it was the bowling, it
- 26:26Speaker 2: was the hit on the head with a bottle, But
- 26:28Speaker 2: the medical examiner says no.
- 26:30Speaker 4: So the medical examiner says, that boy, that could have
- 26:33Speaker 4: happened anytime. She could be just walking down the streets
- 26:35Speaker 4: and just collapse.
- 26:36Speaker 3: So she would be dead still had she not been
- 26:39Speaker 3: hit and the head with that bottle. That's what the
- 26:40Speaker 3: medical examiner says. The two are not connected. Ridiculous, No,
- 26:44Speaker 3: it's not connected.
- 26:46Speaker 1: What would this girl get she could? It's still assault, Yeah,
- 26:52Speaker 1: it is assault.
- 26:53Speaker 2: Now the issue is is an assault that leads to death,
- 26:57Speaker 2: because that's no longer assault.
- 27:01Speaker 3: So hey, let's do one more and then we'll bail,
- 27:05Speaker 3: all right.
- 27:06Speaker 1: The San Diego Mosques shooting suspects, the two teenage suspects
- 27:12Speaker 1: deadly attack we all heard about there in San Diego.
- 27:15Speaker 1: They appear to have written a seventy five page document
- 27:20Speaker 1: that had a bunch of neo Nazi ideology in cell rage,
- 27:25Speaker 1: racist meme culture drawn from really really dark places of
- 27:30Speaker 1: the Internet. So this kind of goes back to twenty nineteen,
- 27:35Speaker 1: that massacre at mosques in christ Church, New Zealand that
- 27:38Speaker 1: we remember. These gun person's gunmen appear to have warned
- 27:44Speaker 1: body cameras they were live streaming their assault. I guess
- 27:48Speaker 1: these videos have circulated online, but a lot of ties,
- 27:54Speaker 1: the inspiration that these folks had and the way they
- 28:00Speaker 1: you know, did this, there was obviously much more to
- 28:03Speaker 1: it than some randomness.
- 28:05Speaker 2: Okay, we're done, guys. Coming up, it's it's hard for
- 28:10Speaker 2: the president to cross any kind of a line when
- 28:12Speaker 2: it comes to his allies in Congress.
- 28:15Speaker 3: He may well, oh, actually he did.
- 28:18Speaker 2: He crossed the line with his new fund to pay
- 28:23Speaker 2: the people who beat up police officers, among others. So
- 28:27Speaker 2: we'll talk about that coming up. Kf I am six point.
- 28:31Speaker 3: You've been listening to the Bill Handle Show.
