- 0:00Speaker 1: Coming up on Relatables.
- 0:02Speaker 2: You're allowed to have problems even when you have a
- 0:04Speaker 2: really good job. You're allowed to have problems even when
- 0:07Speaker 2: you have like a bad mental state. Yep, but everything
- 0:10Speaker 2: around you is going good. You might have a good boyfriend,
- 0:12Speaker 2: a good job, good family, but it's still depressed. You're
- 0:14Speaker 2: allowed to be depressed. It's just like human he's telling you. No,
- 0:16Speaker 2: You've got everything good. Why are you depressed? The Relatables
- 0:30Speaker 2: podcast is hosted by myself, Oddy Clark aka Mummy and
- 0:33Speaker 2: my partner in crime, mister Jake Craig aka Daddy.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Daddy.
- 0:38Speaker 2: Let's get straight into it without touching on that point, mate.
- 0:41Speaker 1: What have you got to start the episode with today? Okay,
- 0:44Speaker 1: so welcome back everybody.
- 0:46Speaker 3: I actually we haven't seen each other probably for about
- 0:51Speaker 3: a week.
- 0:51Speaker 1: Actually it's been a good week. The last time we
- 0:53Speaker 1: really good week. It's been just under a week.
- 0:57Speaker 2: You're counting the days and I'm thinking this is great
- 1:01Speaker 2: a kid.
- 1:02Speaker 3: So from the last time we recorded, if you're on
- 1:06Speaker 3: actually the highest level Patreon, you would have known.
- 1:09Speaker 1: So I went.
- 1:09Speaker 3: I went to Melbourne this weekend and went to the
- 1:13Speaker 3: Coldplay concert. I highly recommend if you can get tickets.
- 1:16Speaker 3: It was fucking hectic.
- 1:17Speaker 1: That's so oh yeah, yeah, yeah, I remember, yeah nice man.
- 1:21Speaker 1: Highly recommend if you can't get tickets. But so I
- 1:25Speaker 1: don't know how long this tour of theres is where
- 1:27Speaker 1: you live. I don't know if you could get this
- 1:29Speaker 1: year in advest job.
- 1:29Speaker 3: Who knows, but watch some videos maybe. But basically okay,
- 1:34Speaker 3: So it was like my dad's Christmas present to the family.
- 1:38Speaker 3: That's what we got for Christmas last year. And so
- 1:40Speaker 3: it was we had to go enteripation.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Great. He got tickets for Melbourne and we are from
- 1:46Speaker 1: Sydney a region.
- 1:48Speaker 3: Basically, I don't even want to talk about cold Blay,
- 1:51Speaker 3: but what I want to talk about is, so we
- 1:53Speaker 3: flew to Melbourne and I didn't bring a check bag,
- 1:57Speaker 3: but a lot of my family did. So when we
- 1:58Speaker 3: get off, we're waiting at the bag al and I
- 2:03Speaker 3: was waiting there. I was doing my own thing. They're
- 2:05Speaker 3: waiting for their bags, and then I noticed there was
- 2:10Speaker 3: a fella who was he would have been middle aged,
- 2:12Speaker 3: like heavier guy, but he was paraplegic like waist down yes,
- 2:17Speaker 3: and in a wheelchair, and he had a backpack on
- 2:21Speaker 3: and then he had this bag that looked like it
- 2:23Speaker 3: was sort of especially made for his beelchair. I had
- 2:25Speaker 3: these hooks at the back where it's like he looked
- 2:27Speaker 3: like he could hook it on. And there was wheels
- 2:28Speaker 3: on his bag, nicking you could go on to his business.
- 2:32Speaker 1: And so he had his.
- 2:32Speaker 3: Bag and he's and I could see him trying to
- 2:35Speaker 3: get it on these hooks, and I was thinking to myself, like, oh,
- 2:40Speaker 3: Like first instinct was like I was about to be like, oh,
- 2:42Speaker 3: let me help you.
- 2:44Speaker 1: Okay.
- 2:45Speaker 3: I was gonna be like, oh, let me help you.
- 2:48Speaker 3: And then I decided not to because I was like,
- 2:52Speaker 3: he probably gets that all the time and gets so
- 2:54Speaker 3: fucking annoyed some random guy trying to just like be
- 2:56Speaker 3: a hero. Yeah, you know, because I have a in
- 3:00Speaker 3: that she's not paraplegic, but like she has like minimal
- 3:03Speaker 3: use of limbs and she gets a little annoyed if
- 3:05Speaker 3: people try and like treat it super different. And so
- 3:10Speaker 3: I would like to ask you, Oh, what you think
- 3:14Speaker 3: happened next?
- 3:16Speaker 2: So something happened, Well, we probably asked your help, so
- 3:20Speaker 2: we saw you probably staring at him more WHEELI.
- 3:22Speaker 1: So I was like I would like say, I mean
- 3:24Speaker 1: I was probably about this far.
- 3:25Speaker 2: From because I'm probably thinking Jake in his head probably
- 3:27Speaker 2: thinks he's being discreet and thinking like should I help
- 3:29Speaker 2: this guy?
- 3:29Speaker 1: Should not?
- 3:30Speaker 2: And like actually he's just looking at him and like
- 3:32Speaker 2: and the guy's probably like this guy gonna ask to help.
- 3:35Speaker 3: True.
- 3:35Speaker 1: True, it's a good point.
- 3:36Speaker 3: So I thought I was being discreted, and so I
- 3:41Speaker 3: was like fuck, and I decided against offering help because
- 3:44Speaker 3: I was like, I've actually gets it all the time.
- 3:46Speaker 1: And then.
- 3:48Speaker 3: Just before I could even think my next thought, yeah,
- 3:53Speaker 3: just he leaned too far.
- 3:54Speaker 1: Back and back he went no, not kidding, oh that
- 3:58Speaker 1: thought what I thought was gonna happen. He just got.
- 4:01Speaker 3: Slow motion, and I was like, like, fuck slow motion.
- 4:06Speaker 1: He had to kind of like give up.
- 4:07Speaker 3: He fell back, and then obviously, like I was near him,
- 4:11Speaker 3: so I rushed over. Yeah, and then my dad and
- 4:14Speaker 3: another guy rushed over, and then you can hear his
- 4:16Speaker 3: wife going, oh, James, like what happened? It was obvious
- 4:20Speaker 3: what happened. He fucking fell back, but and he wasn't talking.
- 4:23Speaker 3: He was just like oh, He's like I'm alright, I'm right.
- 4:26Speaker 3: And so then his fucking leg was stuck in his chair.
- 4:30Speaker 3: Dad and this other guy were helping him and then
- 4:32Speaker 3: I had to get his leg out and I set
- 4:34Speaker 3: up his chair.
- 4:34Speaker 1: They helped him back in his dad. My dad was like,
- 4:36Speaker 1: what's the best way to do this? To his wife?
- 4:38Speaker 1: Like she was like just three two one full, completely
- 4:41Speaker 1: out of the chair, like on the ground, okay.
- 4:43Speaker 3: And so I felt terrible. I felt so so bad.
- 4:48Speaker 3: Like he got himself sorted out, like his wife got
- 4:50Speaker 3: his bag, she had.
- 4:50Speaker 1: Her bag and they went off.
- 4:51Speaker 3: Yeah, and he was obviously he would have been quite embarrassed.
- 4:54Speaker 3: He didn't really say anything, and I was like, fair enough.
- 4:56Speaker 3: She said thank you. And then I went over to
- 4:58Speaker 3: my dad and I was like telling him. I didn't
- 5:00Speaker 3: want to admit that I had this thought of like
- 5:01Speaker 3: wanting to help him, and I but I went over
- 5:03Speaker 3: to my dad and I was like, god, I really
- 5:06Speaker 3: I was so close to offering for help, but I
- 5:08Speaker 3: didn't want.
- 5:08Speaker 1: To do it.
- 5:09Speaker 3: My dad goes same, because my dad must have been
- 5:12Speaker 3: watching him. Yeah, and he goes same. Here I nearly
- 5:15Speaker 3: offered to help him, but I was like, he gets
- 5:18Speaker 3: this all the time.
- 5:18Speaker 1: Probably I don't want to be a dick.
- 5:20Speaker 3: And so now more all the stories every time and
- 5:22Speaker 3: anytime I see someone in a wheelchair, I'm sorry, I'm
- 5:24Speaker 3: offering help.
- 5:25Speaker 2: Okay, that's a good outcome to the story. I guess
- 5:28Speaker 2: it's better also to offer and get rejected rather than
- 5:30Speaker 2: not offer at all.
- 5:31Speaker 1: True.
- 5:32Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, Like I'd rather offer and then be even
- 5:34Speaker 3: be ad dick to me and be like I don't
- 5:35Speaker 3: need your help.
- 5:36Speaker 1: I don't care. At least I know I offered. Yeah,
- 5:38Speaker 1: it's not good to assume, is it. Nah? I just
- 5:41Speaker 1: fuck it.
- 5:42Speaker 3: I felt terrible, and my younger sister, she saw her
- 5:45Speaker 3: happy there as a family.
- 5:46Speaker 1: She cried. She felt so bad. I just felt terrible.
- 5:51Speaker 1: So it must have been so embarrassing. He wasn't hurt,
- 5:52Speaker 1: was he No, he wasn't even hurt, but you could
- 5:54Speaker 1: tell he was just so bummed out by it.
- 5:56Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, And I have a feeling it was
- 5:58Speaker 3: like the vibe I was.
- 6:00Speaker 1: Getting was like he had not been a paraplegic for long.
- 6:02Speaker 3: Yeah, so he's still learning probably, yeah, because like, yeah,
- 6:06Speaker 3: you had this big scar. I just felt so fucking bad,
- 6:08Speaker 3: and I wish I just wanted to go up to
- 6:09Speaker 3: him and be like, man, I was thinking about it,
- 6:13Speaker 3: but obviously I wasn't going to do that.
- 6:14Speaker 1: No.
- 6:14Speaker 3: That story has a really good like moral behind it,
- 6:17Speaker 3: like I will now be offering help regardless of whether and.
- 6:19Speaker 2: It's better for you to get rejected than someone who's
- 6:22Speaker 2: going through all these problems.
- 6:24Speaker 1: Yeah, just to say no, I guess yeah.
- 6:27Speaker 3: I felt, yeah, what would you I'm trying to and
- 6:28Speaker 3: I wanted to actually ask you, like I assume, I'm
- 6:31Speaker 3: assuming you would have had the same thought process when
- 6:33Speaker 3: you were telling the story.
- 6:34Speaker 1: I had the exact same thinking process, yeah, like don't
- 6:37Speaker 1: help him?
- 6:37Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I would have thought, I don't want to
- 6:39Speaker 2: look like a hero. I was gonna be like, oh,
- 6:40Speaker 2: this guy's always going to Yeah, you appreciate it.
- 6:43Speaker 1: Sad story, but.
- 6:44Speaker 2: It makes you appreciate like what you've gotten. Also like
- 6:46Speaker 2: to offer a helping hand when you can. Yeah, it's yeah,
- 6:50Speaker 2: like it's better to be rejected.
- 6:51Speaker 3: I guess yeah, no, good point, Well, definitely better to
- 6:54Speaker 3: be rejected.
- 6:55Speaker 1: Yeah. And then we saw him again. I'm ature, I
- 6:59Speaker 1: reckon they went to Coldplay.
- 7:00Speaker 3: Yeah, because because we were flying home and checked checked
- 7:06Speaker 3: into the airport and then I saw him and his
- 7:07Speaker 3: wife wheel jo that the priority late and I.
- 7:09Speaker 1: Was like, no way, what did you do in Melbourne?
- 7:16Speaker 3: Something else? Actually kind of funny happened. My family has
- 7:21Speaker 3: never seen me get recognized.
- 7:24Speaker 1: Yeah, and your story start with like must be nice.
- 7:28Speaker 3: And yeah, I mean yeah, fair, totally fair.
- 7:34Speaker 1: It's just like something funny.
- 7:36Speaker 3: So because I was also filming a vlog like of
- 7:40Speaker 3: going there and my family's in the viog glight.
- 7:42Speaker 2: Yeah, well the thing is as soon as we pop
- 7:44Speaker 2: our camera, it's like, oh it is those guys.
- 7:46Speaker 1: Yeah exactly.
- 7:47Speaker 3: And so we're on the plane and I was filming
- 7:50Speaker 3: myself talking about something. I was like sitting on my own.
- 7:52Speaker 3: Six of them are all together, and I was near him,
- 7:55Speaker 3: but I was like aa. And then on the plane
- 7:59Speaker 3: I started editing just for the hour, just because I
- 8:01Speaker 3: needed to edit some stuff for the podcast. And then
- 8:05Speaker 3: I didn't talk to the guy next to me the
- 8:06Speaker 3: whole time. But then when I'm getting off the plane,
- 8:09Speaker 3: it happened to us once before. The air hostess just
- 8:12Speaker 3: said like, oh, I really like a podcast. I was like, oh,
- 8:14Speaker 3: thank you so much.
- 8:15Speaker 1: Yeah. But then as I was getting off the.
- 8:17Speaker 3: Plane, the guy next to me, he was behind me,
- 8:20Speaker 3: and he goes, oh, like do you have a blog
- 8:21Speaker 3: or something like that.
- 8:22Speaker 1: And I was like, oh, no, I actually have a podcast.
- 8:24Speaker 3: And I was talking to him in the in the
- 8:26Speaker 3: in the tunnel, and then as we were walking out,
- 8:28Speaker 3: I was batting me up with my family and then
- 8:29Speaker 3: he goes like, what are you in Melbourne?
- 8:30Speaker 1: And I was like, I'm actually here with my family
- 8:31Speaker 1: go to Coldplay and he goes, oh, same yeah.
- 8:33Speaker 3: And then as he's like, I'm like, oh, here's my
- 8:35Speaker 3: family see, he goes, yeah, see you.
- 8:36Speaker 1: Tonight, and I was like what. I was like, Oh,
- 8:43Speaker 1: I have a good night. He was like, oh, yeah,
- 8:44Speaker 1: see you tonight. And I was like, dude, there's gonna
- 8:45Speaker 1: be like seventy thousand. I do not think we're going
- 8:48Speaker 1: to see each other. And then I was praying. I
- 8:51Speaker 1: was praying the.
- 8:52Speaker 3: Stars in line, and then I ended up sitting next
- 8:54Speaker 3: to him, but it didn't happen unfortunately.
- 8:56Speaker 1: Is that the guy I recognized you? Yeah? Yeah, yeah?
- 8:58Speaker 3: Oh no no no, the guy the person recognized me
- 9:00Speaker 3: was then the air hosting Yeah, like my.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Dad they here, blah blah blah.
- 9:05Speaker 3: But then the funny part was like I was standing
- 9:07Speaker 3: next to my family and then all they would have
- 9:09Speaker 3: heard was him going see you tonight.
- 9:12Speaker 1: I don't think you're going to see me tonight.
- 9:15Speaker 3: Fair reminded me of like a moment where you're at
- 9:18Speaker 3: like Goods miand or something they go enjoy meal and
- 9:20Speaker 3: you're like.
- 9:20Speaker 1: Yeah, I hate that.
- 9:23Speaker 2: I don't know what to say, and then your brain
- 9:24Speaker 2: takes over and you're like, fuck your brain.
- 9:27Speaker 1: It was probably awkward to exactly. Yeah, he would have
- 9:29Speaker 1: just been like probably when I mean, he's like, damn that.
- 9:34Speaker 2: Now you're talking about it on your podcast.
- 9:39Speaker 1: For fucker.
- 9:46Speaker 2: Okay, Jake, I think we can all agree. Something that's
- 9:50Speaker 2: relatable is the cost of living crisis.
- 9:53Speaker 3: Yeah, Australia is getting hit with it.
- 9:55Speaker 2: Yeah, we are, and like things are getting more and
- 9:58Speaker 2: more expensive and the becoming more unattainable in our brain and.
- 10:03Speaker 1: Physically, yes, yep. Yeah.
- 10:05Speaker 2: And have you ever seen those videos of like I
- 10:07Speaker 2: think it's Jeff Bezos or these really rich people try
- 10:10Speaker 2: and guess the prices of like generic household items.
- 10:13Speaker 1: I've seen Bill Gates. Yeah, maybe it was Bill Gates
- 10:16Speaker 1: and someone's like because he someone was like when was
- 10:19Speaker 1: the last time in grocery shopping?
- 10:20Speaker 3: And he's like, I don't know, And they're like, oh, well,
- 10:23Speaker 3: do you want to try and guess what some items cost?
- 10:25Speaker 3: And at the time in America, they were like a
- 10:27Speaker 3: gallon of milk and it was like two bucks, and
- 10:29Speaker 3: you go, so eight dollars. They were like, no, it's
- 10:32Speaker 3: eight dollars.
- 10:33Speaker 1: So basically it's going off that premise. But we've flipped it.
- 10:38Speaker 2: So I've got how much does things cost? And the
- 10:40Speaker 2: cost of living crisis and all these things are probably
- 10:43Speaker 2: things you're never going to buy and they're unattainable now
- 10:46Speaker 2: because of these fucking cost of living crisis unattainable items. Okay, yeah,
- 10:50Speaker 2: and I've started, I've started a little, and then I've
- 10:53Speaker 2: actually got really big okay, and some things that you're
- 10:55Speaker 2: obviously never going to buy, but still it's nice to know.
- 10:58Speaker 1: So I need to guess the price.
- 10:59Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, So we're going to start with how much
- 11:01Speaker 2: does it cost a kilo tin of Milo?
- 11:05Speaker 1: Oh?
- 11:06Speaker 3: I actually don't even know. If I want to know,
- 11:09Speaker 3: I'm going with, oh, six bucks.
- 11:12Speaker 2: Mate, This is like Jeff Bezos flipped sixteen dollars what
- 11:18Speaker 2: a kilo tin of Milo? I told you I've complained
- 11:21Speaker 2: about Milo on the pod before, and you're like, oh,
- 11:23Speaker 2: you goes, just buy it sixteen bucks with a kg.
- 11:26Speaker 3: Mate, that's that's daylight rock.
- 11:30Speaker 1: That's woo worse price. Okay, now you see way wait
- 11:33Speaker 1: wait wait wait sixteen dollars. Yeah, that's crazy.
- 11:36Speaker 2: It goes on sales sometimes, but bog standard sixteen bucks man,
- 11:39Speaker 2: no sales eazy?
- 11:41Speaker 1: Okay, how much does it cost?
- 11:43Speaker 2: This is the only relatable one that you might buy. Okay,
- 11:45Speaker 2: one kilo of cheer light and tasty cheese.
- 11:50Speaker 3: I might know this one because I very recently bought
- 11:53Speaker 3: a kilo of cheese.
- 11:55Speaker 1: No yeah, yeah, yeah, big block. Yeah, and it will
- 11:58Speaker 1: cost me thirteen dollars. So is that your guess? Yeah,
- 12:02Speaker 1: fourteen dollars. What's gone up since I bought it for
- 12:04Speaker 1: a kilo of cheese? Okay? Next one? No, no, no, no,
- 12:11Speaker 1: I mean I had to pay.
- 12:12Speaker 2: For my thirteen dollars ye, Audi, man, like that's the
- 12:15Speaker 2: only thing that makes things a reasonable price.
- 12:18Speaker 1: Oh really, it's crazy.
- 12:19Speaker 2: Yeah, everything's like half the price shit. Audian woollies are
- 12:22Speaker 2: just terrible. They're price gouging. Coals and wollies Yeah yeah yeah,
- 12:25Speaker 2: Coles and wooies are just price gouch and everything.
- 12:27Speaker 1: Eight.
- 12:28Speaker 2: Okay, how much does it cost? Twenty twenty four twurd
- 12:32Speaker 2: Land cruise a troopy. Oh I want to add that
- 12:37Speaker 2: these are like a year and a half weight to get.
- 12:38Speaker 1: One if you want a new one.
- 12:39Speaker 3: Yeah, these these are so popular now that Toyota actually
- 12:43Speaker 3: was going to stop making them, but then Australian started
- 12:45Speaker 3: ordering them heaps. Man, Oh they've got to be like
- 12:49Speaker 3: seventy seventy five k eighty two thy five hundred. Really, yeah,
- 12:56Speaker 3: I would like to I would like to say something
- 12:58Speaker 3: about troopies.
- 12:59Speaker 1: What you had?
- 13:00Speaker 3: I had one, That's why I picked it. I had
- 13:01Speaker 3: a nineteen eighty six model. Okay, yeah, I went while
- 13:07Speaker 3: I had my nineteen eighty six model Troopye.
- 13:09Speaker 1: I loved it. It was great. I loved it too.
- 13:11Speaker 3: It was so cool, like very very very simple inside,
- 13:17Speaker 3: like the most simple you can get.
- 13:19Speaker 1: Really.
- 13:20Speaker 3: And I know someone while I had mine, who got
- 13:25Speaker 3: a brand new Troopee like twenty twenty two model at
- 13:28Speaker 3: a time or whatever. Yeah, it was brand fucking new.
- 13:32Speaker 3: And in terms of like interior and technology, they barely upgraded.
- 13:38Speaker 3: I know.
- 13:38Speaker 1: I was like, you've got what I've got. I don't
- 13:40Speaker 1: know why people are buying them. They're still like not
- 13:43Speaker 1: automatic doors. I know, a wind around the window.
- 13:46Speaker 2: That's crazy to pay eighty two point five thousand dollars
- 13:50Speaker 2: and you have to wind down the window they at
- 13:53Speaker 2: least have.
- 13:53Speaker 1: Cruise control now because mine didn't. All I could do
- 13:56Speaker 1: with mine the engine.
- 13:57Speaker 2: But also if you buy one on the second hand market,
- 13:59Speaker 2: the actually up in price.
- 14:01Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:01Speaker 3: People will order two, yeah, and then when they get
- 14:04Speaker 3: them both, they'll sell one of them for more than
- 14:06Speaker 3: ok yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 14:07Speaker 1: It's fucking crazy.
- 14:09Speaker 2: Next one, how much does it cost at twenty twenty
- 14:12Speaker 2: four Mercedes Benz G Class aka g Wagon.
- 14:17Speaker 1: Ah fuck.
- 14:19Speaker 3: But whenever we see one of these, Beth is like,
- 14:21Speaker 3: that's what I want, Like, good luck, she can't even drive, Okay,
- 14:30Speaker 3: I reckon, damn, they'd be different like top of the line,
- 14:33Speaker 3: bottom of the line. I'm gonna go like minimum is
- 14:38Speaker 3: bog standing one like three hundred k three hundred and
- 14:40Speaker 3: ninety six thousand dollars?
- 14:42Speaker 1: Holy shit, really, machine, I didn't that's like bog. That's
- 14:45Speaker 1: like you could get better.
- 14:46Speaker 2: Yeah, you can get I think it's bog standing in
- 14:48Speaker 2: the middle. You can get a worse one and we
- 14:49Speaker 2: can get a better one. Holy shit, I didn't realize
- 14:51Speaker 2: how much they were on the road ninety two.
- 14:55Speaker 1: Don't sell it short ninety six ninety six thousand dollars.
- 14:59Speaker 3: Yeah, that better be worth every penny.
- 15:01Speaker 1: How can that be worth? That's the price of a
- 15:03Speaker 1: small fucking apartment. I know. Just the money is uncomprehendible.
- 15:07Speaker 3: A oh, money sucks, money suck.
- 15:10Speaker 2: Okay, this is where it gets interesting. How much does
- 15:12Speaker 2: it cost the median house price where we live on
- 15:16Speaker 2: the Central Coast?
- 15:17Speaker 3: Oh? I actually think I know this is it. I'm
- 15:19Speaker 3: pretty sure it's a million dollars?
- 15:20Speaker 1: Is that you guess? Yeah? A million and seventy thousand?
- 15:24Speaker 1: Oh really?
- 15:24Speaker 3: Okay, so yeah about nearly eleven hundred so nearly one
- 15:27Speaker 3: point one million.
- 15:28Speaker 2: Yeah, So what is the median house price Sydney Bondai Bondie?
- 15:32Speaker 1: Yeah? Oh three million.
- 15:36Speaker 2: Three point eight five million dollars for the median house
- 15:40Speaker 2: price in Bondai.
- 15:42Speaker 1: Talk about unattainable? Really, how wild is that? Like?
- 15:48Speaker 2: I just don't understand how these people are making so
- 15:51Speaker 2: much money, Like what do they do?
- 15:52Speaker 1: I just don't get it. I want to leave it
- 15:57Speaker 1: on this. This is the most mind boggling.
- 16:01Speaker 2: So obviously, interest rates very basis on the interest rate
- 16:06Speaker 2: and how long you do it for whatever, But this
- 16:08Speaker 2: is an average. How much would you pay on a
- 16:11Speaker 2: million dollar loan over thirty years on average?
- 16:15Speaker 3: Oh? It's something crazy I very recently have been looking
- 16:18Speaker 3: this up and it's fucking crazy. So thirty loan because
- 16:23Speaker 3: of the interest you pay something like it's like two
- 16:26Speaker 3: point one million altogether.
- 16:28Speaker 2: You're good two point three four million dollars on a
- 16:31Speaker 2: million dollar loan and the medium house price in where
- 16:34Speaker 2: we live, which is like bog standard Australia. Yeah, it's
- 16:37Speaker 2: a million dollars. What I know you're going to save
- 16:40Speaker 2: obviously and put a deposit on it. But still, oh yeah,
- 16:44Speaker 2: I mean, but just hurts your soul thinking about it.
- 16:48Speaker 1: Yeah, it makes it's very man.
- 16:50Speaker 2: Life kicks you in the ball sometimes though, it does.
- 16:54Speaker 2: I was thinking about it today driving to the gym.
- 16:56Speaker 2: I was like, why do we make life this concept?
- 17:00Speaker 2: It's work five days a week. Everything I do, I've
- 17:03Speaker 2: got to make the most amount of money. Like why
- 17:05Speaker 2: don't we make the concept like work three days a week.
- 17:07Speaker 1: We all win?
- 17:08Speaker 2: Yeah, like we all everything's affordable, we all just have
- 17:11Speaker 2: a good time. But instead it's like I've got to
- 17:12Speaker 2: make more money and you how can I make money.
- 17:14Speaker 1: Off you doing this? Yeah?
- 17:16Speaker 2: I actually like you live, you leave the house these
- 17:17Speaker 2: days and you pay fucking twenty bucks on tolls.
- 17:20Speaker 1: Oh in Sydney. Yeah, yeah, yeah, as soon.
- 17:22Speaker 2: As you leave the house, someone's making money off you
- 17:24Speaker 2: just by leaving your house.
- 17:25Speaker 1: That's actually that's a good point.
- 17:27Speaker 2: Actually, I've never understood like the concept of like obviously
- 17:30Speaker 2: we can't change anything, but it's just so hard to grasp.
- 17:32Speaker 2: But like no one made a concept of life that's
- 17:37Speaker 2: it is enjoyable, but like it could be way more enjoyable.
- 17:40Speaker 1: It's very like we're very.
- 17:45Speaker 3: Uh what's the word called, We're very ego based, you know,
- 17:51Speaker 3: like in terms of like if you can afford Let look,
- 17:55Speaker 3: if you can afford a really nice car, like great,
- 17:58Speaker 3: but like what is the reason you have that car?
- 18:01Speaker 3: You know, because obviously a very cheaper car, like a
- 18:05Speaker 3: very very way cheaper car would suffice I could say
- 18:09Speaker 3: for me to be yeah, like what's the reason that
- 18:12Speaker 3: you need the luxury car even though a lot of
- 18:14Speaker 3: the time you really only drive it to him from work? Like,
- 18:17Speaker 3: what is the reason? I feel like a lot of
- 18:20Speaker 3: people would asking themselves that reason. I bet you a
- 18:22Speaker 3: lot of it is because they want to do it
- 18:24Speaker 3: for themselves. But also it's status. Yeah, everything about us
- 18:27Speaker 3: is status. It is really it, it really is, you know,
- 18:31Speaker 3: even think about like there's this fucking game called CSGO
- 18:35Speaker 3: and I got a cousin actually that so you can
- 18:38Speaker 3: pay money like maybe one hundred bucks and you get
- 18:41Speaker 3: like a gift.
- 18:41Speaker 1: Box, like a like a mystery box. Yeah, I know
- 18:45Speaker 1: exactly about I got a cousin.
- 18:46Speaker 3: That bought just like a mystery box and he got
- 18:50Speaker 3: I think he just got like a super rare knife
- 18:52Speaker 3: in it.
- 18:53Speaker 1: And this is just in a video game.
- 18:56Speaker 3: And some guy in Korea paid him forty thousand dollars
- 19:00Speaker 3: for this knife in a game and all, and the
- 19:04Speaker 3: whole reason for it is status. We are status creatures
- 19:07Speaker 3: of Like he's just gonna run around in the game
- 19:09Speaker 3: killing people with this knife, and people are gonna be like,
- 19:11Speaker 3: I just got killed by the six is fucking knife.
- 19:13Speaker 2: Like I don't get how it's worth anything. And it's
- 19:15Speaker 2: the same thing with like iPhones. Everyone always has to
- 19:17Speaker 2: buy the new iPhone. You've got the fifteen pro Macs
- 19:20Speaker 2: does the job better than any phone could ever imagine,
- 19:24Speaker 2: and then you've got to go and buy the brand
- 19:25Speaker 2: new one just for some reason. We're just like it's
- 19:28Speaker 2: consumerism too, and it's just like when did we get
- 19:30Speaker 2: like that? Even like the housing market became a business.
- 19:34Speaker 1: It did, didn't it. It's now a business of people.
- 19:36Speaker 2: And then the people who have families got to spend
- 19:38Speaker 2: thirty years to pay off a million dollar house which
- 19:40Speaker 2: will cost them fucking four million dollars.
- 19:42Speaker 3: Oh man, I don't even know, Yeah, I just speak.
- 19:46Speaker 3: You know what makes it makes you think like are
- 19:49Speaker 3: we so it makes you if we talk about maybe
- 19:52Speaker 3: the podcast or our own lives, like we're in it?
- 19:58Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 19:58Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, like we we are in it, Like
- 20:00Speaker 3: I drive it, Hayand I guess if we had just
- 20:04Speaker 3: like a dumb amount of disposable income and our account
- 20:07Speaker 3: was like, boys, you're either going to pay this much
- 20:09Speaker 3: in tax, we.
- 20:10Speaker 1: Can go buy a brand new car and fucking you.
- 20:13Speaker 3: Won't pay this much in tax, I'd be like, well
- 20:17Speaker 3: fuck it, yeah, give me a new car, Like that's
- 20:19Speaker 3: gonna be hectic, like and but.
- 20:20Speaker 1: My car, like genuinely like it. Fine. I drive to
- 20:24Speaker 1: Sydney like twice a week in it and it's an
- 20:26Speaker 1: hour and a half drive and it's fine.
- 20:28Speaker 2: Growing up and figuring out all these issues. It's just like,
- 20:32Speaker 2: I don't know, it just makes me sad. I know,
- 20:34Speaker 2: it's just like also and there's nothing you can do
- 20:37Speaker 2: about it.
- 20:37Speaker 3: Nah, true, Like honestly, there is nothing it's but also
- 20:41Speaker 3: like we're very very lucky as well, Like it's so easy.
- 20:48Speaker 3: I find it so easy to talk about everything we're
- 20:50Speaker 3: talking about right now and and be like, fuck, you
- 20:54Speaker 3: know so hard, which it is. You know, everyone's everyone's
- 20:58Speaker 3: a hardships.
- 20:59Speaker 1: Of their own.
- 21:00Speaker 3: Everyone has a different opinion, everyone's experienced life in a
- 21:02Speaker 3: different way.
- 21:03Speaker 1: But also just.
- 21:07Speaker 3: Trying to like accept the fact that not even accepting
- 21:10Speaker 3: the fact, just trying to remember the fact that where
- 21:13Speaker 3: we were born makes us lucky. Having parents that are
- 21:17Speaker 3: like supportive make us lucky having I.
- 21:20Speaker 2: Don't know any They put it, well, that's a good
- 21:22Speaker 2: tip to help putting your life into perspective of thinking
- 21:24Speaker 2: about like other people aren't as lucky even though they
- 21:27Speaker 2: are our problems, like they're good problems to have, but
- 21:30Speaker 2: there's still is hard. But that's a good tip to
- 21:33Speaker 2: like help the situation, especially if it's becoming overwhelming with
- 21:35Speaker 2: all these fucking cost of living crissis is going on,
- 21:38Speaker 2: And we're very privileged to be in certain positions that
- 21:40Speaker 2: some people aren't privileged to be in.
- 21:42Speaker 3: Yeah, I was watching some Ted talks yesterday and one
- 21:47Speaker 3: of them, maybe I was thinking about not bringing it
- 21:50Speaker 3: up because it was a little confusing, but it actually
- 21:52Speaker 3: had a pretty good message. And but one of these
- 21:55Speaker 3: like little stats in there was that they've they've obviously
- 21:59Speaker 3: there's so different studies on the human psyche, and one
- 22:03Speaker 3: of them was that this guy said was that you know,
- 22:07Speaker 3: people that.
- 22:09Speaker 1: Hold value, like hold.
- 22:11Speaker 3: The value of money over other things, they are like
- 22:15Speaker 3: a crazy percentage higher chance of being clinically depressed. Really yeah,
- 22:20Speaker 3: And I was just like, I mean, look it, fuck it,
- 22:23Speaker 3: probably're not wrong because you are chasing just like this
- 22:25Speaker 3: random little material thing like.
- 22:27Speaker 2: Well, one thing funny you bring that up, actually is
- 22:29Speaker 2: like one thing I've been trying to practice a little
- 22:31Speaker 2: bit more is definitely unhealthy with our job. There's always
- 22:36Speaker 2: one more thing you can do. And I'm trying to
- 22:40Speaker 2: detach myself from that a little bit and take the
- 22:43Speaker 2: time to do something with a friend or communicate with
- 22:46Speaker 2: someone that I don't necessarily like it doesn't outcome the
- 22:51Speaker 2: podcast better, Yeah, if that makes sense, Like I'll just
- 22:53Speaker 2: go and sit out, have a coffee down and have
- 22:55Speaker 2: lunch for a couple of hours with my mate and
- 22:56Speaker 2: not think about Fuck, I've got to go home and
- 22:58Speaker 2: do this fucking thing for the pot I've got to research,
- 23:00Speaker 2: is I got to edit this, like because that's building
- 23:02Speaker 2: our brand. But then my mental health may be taking
- 23:05Speaker 2: a bit of a beating. But doing this is I
- 23:08Speaker 2: got to accept that that's beneficial for me just talking
- 23:10Speaker 2: to someone, communication and like finding a balance between the two.
- 23:13Speaker 1: That's a very good point.
- 23:14Speaker 3: We're also the first, the first humans in all of
- 23:20Speaker 3: human history to be not part of tribes.
- 23:25Speaker 1: Oh, meaning so.
- 23:26Speaker 3: Men and women human beings are where tribal creatures like
- 23:31Speaker 3: to be in a group, like as a sense of belonging,
- 23:34Speaker 3: like we.
- 23:34Speaker 1: We need belonging, like we need it.
- 23:37Speaker 3: But now for some reason, there's this whole thing of
- 23:40Speaker 3: like we need to do everything on our own to
- 23:43Speaker 3: feel fulfilled, accomplished, accomplished or so.
- 23:47Speaker 1: Like.
- 23:47Speaker 3: For instance, if you were maybe feeling shit about yourself,
- 23:50Speaker 3: you'd probably say to yourself, I mean, I'm guilty of
- 23:52Speaker 3: but you probably say yourself, like, you know, I need
- 23:54Speaker 3: to fucking sort this out and not bring it up,
- 23:57Speaker 3: you know, be like this isn't anyone else's problem but
- 23:59Speaker 3: my own.
- 24:00Speaker 1: As back in the.
- 24:01Speaker 3: Day when we were in tribes, if you had an
- 24:05Speaker 3: issue you bring it up everyone and it's everyone's issue
- 24:08Speaker 3: and everyone like it's like if you're down, we're all
- 24:11Speaker 3: like the weakest link is what we are.
- 24:13Speaker 1: We need everyone to be.
- 24:14Speaker 2: We're no longer a team really, Yeah, we're not a
- 24:16Speaker 2: team at all. If you have a good family, you
- 24:18Speaker 2: have a good family team. But otherwise we do have
- 24:20Speaker 2: this weird independence power trip, don't we.
- 24:22Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 24:22Speaker 2: It's like I've got to do everything by myself. I've
- 24:24Speaker 2: got to be independent. I've got to pay my bills,
- 24:26Speaker 2: I've got to have a good mental health. I've got
- 24:27Speaker 2: to do everything by myself. I don't know why I
- 24:30Speaker 2: god like that. Hey, it's weird because you do need
- 24:33Speaker 2: Like the whole thing about humanity is connection. It's like
- 24:36Speaker 2: that makes us work good. That's what humans need is
- 24:39Speaker 2: to connect to people. Yep, but it's just growing up's hard.
- 24:44Speaker 1: It is hard. It's hard. Yeah, I don't even know
- 24:47Speaker 1: where fuck where we could go.
- 24:49Speaker 2: We could talk about even mindset right now is like
- 24:51Speaker 2: should I be complaining about it? We're in a good position,
- 24:52Speaker 2: but it's like it is hard.
- 24:54Speaker 1: Fuck. A good point.
- 24:57Speaker 2: That's relatable for anyone, Like you're allowed to have problems
- 25:00Speaker 2: even when you have a really good job. You're allowed
- 25:02Speaker 2: to have problems even when you have like a bad
- 25:06Speaker 2: mental state. Yep, but everything around you is going good.
- 25:08Speaker 2: You might have a good boyfriend, a good job, good
- 25:10Speaker 2: family view. It is still depressed. You're allowed to be depressed.
- 25:12Speaker 2: It's just like human he's telling you. No, You've got
- 25:13Speaker 2: everything good. Why are you depressed?
- 25:15Speaker 1: Fuck?
- 25:16Speaker 3: What you just said was fucking insane. Do you want
- 25:18Speaker 3: dilemmas time?
- 25:19Speaker 1: Okay? Because what you do? Fuck? Listen to this? All right?
- 25:23Speaker 3: Well, so we're going to go into dilemmas going off
- 25:24Speaker 3: what I just said. I feel like I have a
- 25:27Speaker 3: pretty perfect life. I am twenty five. I have a
- 25:31Speaker 3: good job, financial stability, a really happy relationship. I live
- 25:36Speaker 3: in a great city with lots of opportunity. I have
- 25:38Speaker 3: a variety of hobbies and a good friend group. But
- 25:43Speaker 3: I keep feeling a really strong urge to up and
- 25:47Speaker 3: leave it all, give it all up, and move to
- 25:50Speaker 3: another country without warning. I feel really guilty for feeling
- 25:54Speaker 3: this way, as I have most of what anyone could
- 25:56Speaker 3: ever want in quotations, Recently, a couple of opportunities in
- 26:01Speaker 3: this city fell through, leaving me feeling the only reason
- 26:05Speaker 3: I'm still here is my relationship. He is absolutely wonderful
- 26:08Speaker 3: and I want to be with him. He also can't
- 26:10Speaker 3: leave this city at the moment due to his own commitments.
- 26:13Speaker 3: I feel a really strong need to follow opportunities overseas
- 26:16Speaker 3: study slash career, slash sports, but don't know how to
- 26:20Speaker 3: approach this conversation with him. Is it normal to feel
- 26:23Speaker 3: so cloustrophobic with a good stable life? How can I
- 26:26Speaker 3: choose between my relationship slash stability and the complete unknown?
- 26:30Speaker 1: Wow, I didn't even know that dilemma was coming.
- 26:32Speaker 3: No, That's why I was like, well, that's why I
- 26:34Speaker 3: was like, wait, well, because I was thinking, Fuck, I
- 26:36Speaker 3: was keen to bring that dilemma up.
- 26:37Speaker 1: I didn't think we were going to talk about all
- 26:39Speaker 1: that chat. Mm yeah. Ah, it's such a relatable dilemma.
- 26:43Speaker 2: It's just like so like she has everything and she
- 26:46Speaker 2: feels guilty that she doesn't feel like that's what she wants. Yeah,
- 26:50Speaker 2: it's so relatable to have all these things too and
- 26:52Speaker 2: like not know what you want, like ah yeah. And
- 26:56Speaker 2: it's also like society has put this false perception that
- 27:02Speaker 2: what you've got is good, Like why.
- 27:04Speaker 1: Is why is all that good? Yeah? Why is it good?
- 27:06Speaker 1: Like it doesn't mean it's necessarily good for me, Like
- 27:09Speaker 1: he's all that good because you were told your whole
- 27:10Speaker 1: life that's what you should have.
- 27:11Speaker 2: Yeah, that's it's It's like the simplest thing that bring
- 27:14Speaker 2: it back to is like you finished school, go to UNI,
- 27:17Speaker 2: you should be good. Yeah if as soon as you finish,
- 27:19Speaker 2: Like what do you mean you should be good? Like
- 27:20Speaker 2: I'm gonna be depressed after I studied for four years
- 27:23Speaker 2: and now I'm putting the workforce and I don't understand
- 27:24Speaker 2: how life is. What do you mean I should be
- 27:26Speaker 2: good Now I'm getting paid one hundred ker Now I'm
- 27:27Speaker 2: a fucking mess.
- 27:28Speaker 3: It's like if you were to bring this up with
- 27:31Speaker 3: someone and they were to judge you, like, you know,
- 27:34Speaker 3: well you should have done this a few years ago.
- 27:36Speaker 1: It's like, but who says that? Why? Who made that rule?
- 27:39Speaker 2: It's like this mental juggle in your head that I
- 27:41Speaker 2: should be happy because I've got all this behind me.
- 27:44Speaker 1: Yeah, but like why who made the rule that I'm
- 27:47Speaker 1: allowed to that I'm not allowed to like.
- 27:49Speaker 3: Go back and do more studying and leave the job
- 27:52Speaker 3: that I've got even though it's great financially stable, all
- 27:54Speaker 3: this stuff, Like who made the rule that I'm not
- 27:56Speaker 3: allowed to change my life.
- 27:57Speaker 2: Yeah, honestly, it's a really it becomes a really honorable person.
- 28:03Speaker 2: Honorable person when like you can detach from what society
- 28:08Speaker 2: thinks and really, like I guess that's listening to your heart.
- 28:13Speaker 2: And the dilemma cender anyone like this is like it
- 28:16Speaker 2: puts yourself first, really because she probably doesn't know what
- 28:19Speaker 2: she wants, but her soul is calling for something different
- 28:22Speaker 2: and she needs to find something and she doesn't know
- 28:24Speaker 2: what it is. And some people won't listen to that
- 28:27Speaker 2: soul and they'll continue to grind because that's what you
- 28:29Speaker 2: told to do.
- 28:30Speaker 1: And I really envy. I think I have it a
- 28:31Speaker 1: little bit. I could be better.
- 28:32Speaker 2: I think you're pretty good in listening to like your heart,
- 28:36Speaker 2: making it relatable for us. Like when we first started
- 28:39Speaker 2: the potty and we made zero money and we were
- 28:41Speaker 2: doing it. All our friends in society's eyes and terms
- 28:45Speaker 2: were getting ahead. They were building their bank account, building
- 28:50Speaker 2: their positions in jobs, whereas we were. I don't know,
- 28:54Speaker 2: maybe we've seen as what are these guys doing? But
- 28:56Speaker 2: we listened to her hard and was like, there's maybe
- 28:58Speaker 2: something in this hey, And that's what I'm trying to
- 29:01Speaker 2: make it relatable for me, and I think that's anyone,
- 29:04Speaker 2: Like it's okay to not do what people think are right.
- 29:08Speaker 2: It's also like the same dilemma of people think they
- 29:10Speaker 2: have to have kids. Taking a broad spectrum. Yeah, like
- 29:13Speaker 2: some people feel guilty when they don't want to have
- 29:15Speaker 2: a kid. That's a very good point, Like you can
- 29:18Speaker 2: do it. Taking it back to our like first segments ound,
- 29:22Speaker 2: do what.
- 29:22Speaker 1: You want to do, be what you want to be.
- 29:23Speaker 2: Relatables fad Honestly, Oh, I'm sick of like society just
- 29:28Speaker 2: like controlling everyone's brain when there's no like they have
- 29:32Speaker 2: one solution and one set standards for people when every
- 29:35Speaker 2: single person, every single person listens right now, thoughts are different,
- 29:39Speaker 2: their body is different, No one understands what's going inside
- 29:41Speaker 2: your head. But then they have this one model that
- 29:43Speaker 2: says you'll be right if you do all.
- 29:44Speaker 1: These things dumb.
- 29:47Speaker 3: Yeah, Like for fuck my grandparents. They are like the
- 29:49Speaker 3: type of people that you know they would constantly. It's
- 29:55Speaker 3: like I was working at a bar and I'd left
- 29:58Speaker 3: that job because I'd left a carpenter job, which is
- 30:02Speaker 3: like considered to be very stable, make good money to
- 30:05Speaker 3: go to be a bartender because I hate a carpentry.
- 30:07Speaker 3: I was a lot happy to being a bartender and
- 30:08Speaker 3: they'd be like, you know, you're not going to be
- 30:10Speaker 3: able to buy a house working there, and I was like, I'll.
- 30:12Speaker 1: Figure it out one day. Whatever. Yeah.
- 30:14Speaker 3: And then when I got a manager like upgrade, like
- 30:16Speaker 3: promoted a manager, that's when they were like, oh, like
- 30:20Speaker 3: this could be a serious job. And then with the podcast,
- 30:24Speaker 3: like god, up until May, I'm telling you up until recently, they're.
- 30:30Speaker 1: Just like what are you doing? And I think I'm
- 30:33Speaker 1: just good at kind of being like you guys are
- 30:34Speaker 1: all just old farts.
- 30:37Speaker 3: But it's just like the different people's opinions and trying
- 30:42Speaker 3: to disconnect from them is just the hardest thing.
- 30:45Speaker 2: Well, I think a good question to start asking other
- 30:49Speaker 2: people and yourself to build a more healthy environment so
- 30:53Speaker 2: people feel located do what their souls telling them to do.
- 30:57Speaker 2: Is instead of asking like like I don't know what
- 31:02Speaker 2: I'm trying to think, like what I'm trying to say,
- 31:04Speaker 2: ask are you happy? Instead of like what they're doing,
- 31:09Speaker 2: like what they're doing now, Like no one ever, no
- 31:10Speaker 2: one gives a fuck whether or not you're happy. Yeah,
- 31:12Speaker 2: they give a fucker whether or not.
- 31:13Speaker 3: If you have a good like it's like if you
- 31:16Speaker 3: hate your job when they say a house working, like
- 31:17Speaker 3: I actually really hate it and they're like, oh, I
- 31:19Speaker 3: have it pays good, it doesn't it.
- 31:20Speaker 1: Yeah, like that asked me if I'm happy.
- 31:22Speaker 2: No one ever asks if you're happy other than this
- 31:23Speaker 2: big question of like, are you doing what society is
- 31:26Speaker 2: telling you to do?
- 31:27Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah, Like, no one ever asks you what you're happy.
- 31:30Speaker 1: There is such a good point. No one ever says
- 31:33Speaker 1: are you happy?
- 31:33Speaker 2: Because it's not valuable in society's terms, because there's no
- 31:36Speaker 2: monetary benefit from it. And I think they like to
- 31:40Speaker 2: normalize people saying like, because I would prefer to fucking
- 31:44Speaker 2: work in a garden, make sixty k year, be happy,
- 31:47Speaker 2: then work in a big office for make one hundred
- 31:49Speaker 2: and twenty k year, double the thing, and then just
- 31:51Speaker 2: be this depressed little man who is unhappy as all.
- 31:55Speaker 3: Would you prefer, let's go, would you prefer to work
- 31:59Speaker 3: in a garden, you know, being nice and chill, just
- 32:01Speaker 3: like at your own pace, make as much as you need,
- 32:04Speaker 3: you know, you pay rent, you feed yourself, you've got
- 32:07Speaker 3: a girlfriend, you're cool.
- 32:08Speaker 1: Or do the podcast? Oh no, podcast, I'm happy yeah, yeah, yea, yeah,
- 32:13Speaker 1: well I did this because I wanted to do it.
- 32:15Speaker 1: That's a good point. Yeah yeah, But okay to the dilemma, Yeah.
- 32:19Speaker 3: I think I would like I didn't even like obviously,
- 32:22Speaker 3: I'm not going to give you any sort of like
- 32:23Speaker 3: financial advice or relationship like we give relationship with fice
- 32:26Speaker 3: all the time.
- 32:26Speaker 1: But it sounds like your part is great.
- 32:28Speaker 3: But I'm thinking maybe if you could somehow bring up
- 32:33Speaker 3: these like urges you're getting with your for all this stuff,
- 32:37Speaker 3: like bring it up with your partner and then but
- 32:39Speaker 3: also let them know, Like I think you should have
- 32:41Speaker 3: a little plan maybe like in place, you could do
- 32:44Speaker 3: things in bite sized pieces.
- 32:46Speaker 1: Instead of just.
- 32:48Speaker 3: Leaving to a different country, you could try and just
- 32:53Speaker 3: maybe get a new job in the current city you're in,
- 32:57Speaker 3: you know, I mean, I don't know.
- 32:58Speaker 1: I'm just trying to think of options here.
- 32:59Speaker 2: I'm just thinking you just got a definitely voice to
- 33:02Speaker 2: him everything that's going on inside your head, and it
- 33:05Speaker 2: should be a safe enough environment where he understands where
- 33:08Speaker 2: you're coming from. Like it's okay to say, like I
- 33:12Speaker 2: don't know, hey, James, something's not right for me here.
- 33:16Speaker 2: I know I've got all these good things going and
- 33:18Speaker 2: I love you, but I need something else and I
- 33:20Speaker 2: don't know what it is, and I'm hoping we can
- 33:22Speaker 2: find it together.
- 33:23Speaker 1: Yeah, something like that. I wonder if the first step
- 33:26Speaker 1: what does she want to stay with him?
- 33:27Speaker 3: It sounds like, yeah, I wonder if you gotta.
- 33:30Speaker 2: Tell him, because the hardest thing for a boyfriend is
- 33:32Speaker 2: like being caught off guard.
- 33:34Speaker 1: You haven't told him.
- 33:35Speaker 2: Yeah, Like, it's better to tell me, tell me, yeah,
- 33:37Speaker 2: and say something's wrong and get him in the loop
- 33:39Speaker 2: and get his brain thinking about.
- 33:41Speaker 1: It and just set yourself off for failure as well.
- 33:42Speaker 3: That just be like I say some stuff, I'm proably
- 33:44Speaker 3: to say some stuff wrong or I don't know how
- 33:46Speaker 3: to say this.
- 33:46Speaker 1: I'm probably going to say some things that hurt you.
- 33:48Speaker 3: Yeah, and like, but by no means there's anything I'm
- 33:51Speaker 3: about to say, like in a hurtful way.
- 33:53Speaker 1: Let me rewind nothing's said in stone.
- 33:54Speaker 2: I want to figure out a solution where we get
- 33:57Speaker 2: what I'm looking for and we are still and love together.
- 34:01Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, And she's all.
- 34:02Speaker 2: About everything in a relationship comes back to communication.
- 34:06Speaker 3: I wonder if the first step could be though, like
- 34:08Speaker 3: really figuring out why she's feeling these feelings.
- 34:11Speaker 2: If there's a way to figure that out. Yeah, oh
- 34:12Speaker 2: how do I feel this way? It probably is, well,
- 34:15Speaker 2: she just needs to grow as a person. And I
- 34:17Speaker 2: think this is where a lot of relationships break apart
- 34:20Speaker 2: is because one of the partners think, oh, you're changing,
- 34:23Speaker 2: whereas in reality, growths really good and if you can
- 34:25Speaker 2: grow together, that's how relationship flourishes. And that all comes
- 34:28Speaker 2: down to communication. But some people he might be like, oh,
- 34:32Speaker 2: I've fucking love to you. What do you mean you
- 34:33Speaker 2: used to love to your yeargo? Like, who cares if you.
- 34:35Speaker 1: You're a different person than a year ago.
- 34:36Speaker 2: Some people can't understand that, which is like all comes
- 34:39Speaker 2: back to communication. Just be open, tell him how you feel,
- 34:43Speaker 2: and he should understand it because he sounds like a
- 34:44Speaker 2: nice guy and you walk out a solution together like
- 34:46Speaker 2: it might like Jack said, start and bite sized pieces.
- 34:48Speaker 2: Go overseas to start for I don't know, one month
- 34:51Speaker 2: a month in Bali, then next year you do six
- 34:52Speaker 2: months in Europe something like that.
- 34:54Speaker 1: Because all these things that you're just thinking, you'll like, yeah,
- 34:56Speaker 1: you don't know what you like?
- 34:57Speaker 3: You gotta go yeah, because like you could, you could
- 34:59Speaker 3: up and move and then committed to like a year
- 35:01Speaker 3: in fucking France or something shit, yeah, and be like,
- 35:03Speaker 3: well I hate France, and then you're gonna feel all
- 35:06Speaker 3: this pressure to stay because if you go home, everyone's
- 35:08Speaker 3: gonna be like you completely fucked your life and then
- 35:11Speaker 3: you're gonna feel judged and you shouldn't, but you will.
- 35:13Speaker 1: And it's just how we are as humans.
- 35:15Speaker 3: I say, whatever decision you make, like, back it, yeah,
- 35:19Speaker 3: like fully back yourself in that decision, and if it
- 35:22Speaker 3: doesn't work out, you still need to back yourself and
- 35:24Speaker 3: be like, Okay, well now this is like the this
- 35:26Speaker 3: is the hand I played. I've got to work it
- 35:28Speaker 3: out from here. Like, don't be like, oh I wish
- 35:30Speaker 3: I didn't do this. Just take it as life experience. Yeah,
- 35:33Speaker 3: back yourself and just keep going about your life after.
- 35:37Speaker 2: That, completely agree, good luck. That's the most relatable youth
- 35:41Speaker 2: full dilemmte ever.
- 35:42Speaker 1: Yeah. I thought this was very relatable.
- 35:44Speaker 2: Someone everyone experiences that like once this like it's sort
- 35:48Speaker 2: of like imposter syndrome in a way, Like I've got
- 35:49Speaker 2: all these good things here, yeah, Like should I just
- 35:51Speaker 2: fucking love my life?
- 35:52Speaker 1: When I don't? Yeah, why don't I love my life?
- 35:54Speaker 3: Like I remember having a girlfriend when I was younger
- 35:56Speaker 3: and being like, ah, you know, I don't know if
- 35:57Speaker 3: we're gonna be together forever, because like, why would be
- 36:00Speaker 3: together with someone that I've met in my own town?
- 36:02Speaker 3: Like why do I should be meeting someone I should
- 36:04Speaker 3: be meeting someone from Sydney, which I mean, I guess
- 36:06Speaker 3: Beth is from Sydney, but I should be meeting someone
- 36:08Speaker 3: from like fucking somewhere else. Like why am I still here?
- 36:11Speaker 3: That's just so lame?
- 36:12Speaker 2: Yeah, why do I think that, Yeah, we didn't work
- 36:15Speaker 2: out in the end, But why do I think that
- 36:16Speaker 2: it's beautiful person's in front of you and you're thinking like, oh,
- 36:18Speaker 2: I can't love her. We grew up fucking fifteen minutes
- 36:21Speaker 2: part I don't know why we brain just trying to
- 36:23Speaker 2: place tricks on us and just being honest to yourself
- 36:26Speaker 2: and understanding that these emotions are valid and you've got
- 36:29Speaker 2: to figure them out.
- 36:29Speaker 3: Yeah, alrighty guys, thank you very much for listening.
- 36:39Speaker 1: That was actually like I didn't know where that episode
- 36:41Speaker 1: was going to go. Wait, just flow, didn't it? Thank
- 36:46Speaker 1: you very much for listening. Don't forget to join the
- 36:47Speaker 1: Facebook group.

- 37:03Speaker 3: us and we haven't read it yet, go send it

- 37:06Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 37:06Speaker 2: Yeah, and it like the baddies are given, Like there's

- 37:15Speaker 1: so relat.

- 37:19Speaker 3: extrapsode every week for five bucks. But how to piss
- 37:22Speaker 3: man off? Our favorite book? Page ten? So you gotta
- 37:29Speaker 3: I'm gonna read the little blurb first, say this, when
- 37:32Speaker 3: a man is playing you a classic rock song, it
- 37:36Speaker 3: doesn't have to be true. The odds are he won't know,
- 37:39Speaker 3: and if he does, I'm almost certain he won't tell you.
- 37:43Speaker 3: So you say, oh, they sang this on Glee, you
- 37:47Speaker 3: know that show.
- 37:49Speaker 2: See, I wouldn't know too, because I vaguely know what
- 37:50Speaker 2: Glee is, but I don't really know what it is.
- 37:52Speaker 3: But then if you actually did know they sang it
- 37:54Speaker 3: on Glee, you wouldn't want to voice that opinion because
- 37:56Speaker 3: of your ego.
- 37:57Speaker 2: Take away rock song, just any song you don't lie
- 38:00Speaker 2: your man's playing in the car, like, oh you know
- 38:01Speaker 2: they playing some glee.
- 38:03Speaker 1: Oh they played this.
- 38:03Speaker 3: On clean If you're you're like, okay, I don't like
- 38:08Speaker 3: this song.
- 38:08Speaker 1: I'm live all right, everybody, thanks for listening. We love
- 38:13Speaker 1: you yourself. So we just said that at the same
- 38:17Speaker 1: time we did we got to kiss? Or do you
- 38:20Speaker 1: know Jinks on the roof? Oh, it's like Jinx, you
- 38:22Speaker 1: owe me a coke? Now you don't know Jinks. No,
- 38:24Speaker 1: it's Jinks. We got to kiss.
- 38:26Speaker 3: No, I grew I grew up as if I if
- 38:28Speaker 3: you say, if you jink someone, it was like, it
- 38:31Speaker 3: was okay with this, you go Jinks poke can't speak again.
- 38:36Speaker 1: And if you do, you owe me a coke. That's
- 38:38Speaker 1: what I grew up with.
- 38:38Speaker 2: I grew up on Jinks. And if it's under a roof,
- 38:40Speaker 2: we have to kiss. Really, yeah, I ri k. Australia
- 38:43Speaker 2: is different.
- 38:46Speaker 1: Europe. You could just say you don't want to kiss me.
