- 0:06Speaker 1: Hey jigs, I'm out and I'm and this is two
- 0:09Speaker 1: road chicks to show that shares life lessons and tips
- 0:11Speaker 1: to be rich in life babies. And we're still in London,
- 0:15Speaker 1: bag London in town with an inn direction Simon Cowe,
- 0:20Speaker 1: we've been blocking his palls like they.
- 0:24Speaker 2: Let me go solo. Simon, come on, you think you're
- 0:26Speaker 2: the Lampagne.
- 0:27Speaker 3: No, I'm the hurry of the situation.
- 0:30Speaker 2: Liampagne was the front anyway.
- 0:32Speaker 1: Anyway, heyway, we're doing today by the beautiful money.
- 0:39Speaker 2: Hey girls studio. Thanks, welcome to London. Oh my god,
- 0:43Speaker 2: how are accents?
- 0:44Speaker 4: Can you raid on one to ten?
- 0:45Speaker 2: Give me one quick? To be fair, like, oh that's
- 0:49Speaker 2: quite good. Yes, I'm about you. I'm not drunk yet.
- 0:52Speaker 4: So Al has one super of alcohol and then she's
- 0:54Speaker 4: like yeah, but to be real, I just thought he
- 0:58Speaker 4: was bang out of order.
- 0:59Speaker 2: That's when I know.
- 1:00Speaker 1: And I'm like, wonder, I love that.
- 1:05Speaker 5: And it kind of goes the other way for British people,
- 1:08Speaker 5: Like a lot of British people will have a drink
- 1:09Speaker 5: and go to Australia.
- 1:10Speaker 2: No, yeah, I don't, I don't. I can't do an
- 1:13Speaker 2: Australian accent.
- 1:14Speaker 1: Okay, So we start every episode with our life lesson
- 1:18Speaker 1: of the week.
- 1:19Speaker 2: Can be small, big, whatever you want.
- 1:22Speaker 1: There's no life lesson shaming here, So as our guest
- 1:27Speaker 1: of one, I would you like to kick us off?
- 1:28Speaker 2: Well, actually mine is not actually very silly. Mine is
- 1:30Speaker 2: actually quit. I love that. Yeah, I think they're earnest
- 1:34Speaker 2: on the show. Yeah, it's not. It's not going deep
- 1:36Speaker 2: straight away.
- 1:36Speaker 5: But I've been reading a little book called Women Don't
- 1:42Speaker 5: Owe You Pretty, and I've literally only just started it
- 1:49Speaker 5: and I was reading the page just like where she
- 1:50Speaker 5: talks about how don't apologize for being emotional. And I
- 1:54Speaker 5: actually talked about this on my Instagram story today because
- 1:58Speaker 5: it really hit home and I think it's relatable for women,
- 2:01Speaker 5: but I think it's relatable for everyone in general. But
- 2:04Speaker 5: like it's such I just feel like my whole life,
- 2:06Speaker 5: I've always apologized for being emotional. So my life lesson
- 2:08Speaker 5: is don't be emotional. I mean, I don't think it's
- 2:12Speaker 5: sorry for being emotional because it makes up so much
- 2:16Speaker 5: of who I am, and I think like a lot
- 2:19Speaker 5: of girlies and anyone probably can.
- 2:21Speaker 2: Just relate to that.
- 2:21Speaker 5: So yeah, I've learned that, Like it's something to champion.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Women in general, just like over apologize for everything, literally everything.
- 2:33Speaker 4: Yeah, We'll think about when you're like crying in front
- 2:35Speaker 4: of a friend or something and your first thing is
- 2:37Speaker 4: you're always like I'm sorry, Like you always feel.
- 2:40Speaker 3: Like yeah, why, It's completely natural, absolutely, And like she says,
- 2:47Speaker 3: like being an empathetic person and like feeling things intensely.
- 2:52Speaker 2: Is like such a gift.
- 2:53Speaker 5: And I was like, oh, that's so like I've never
- 2:56Speaker 5: thought of it like that before, but like it is
- 2:58Speaker 5: such a gift because some people drive their whole life,
- 3:02Speaker 5: you know, to like unlock that side of themselves. So
- 3:04Speaker 5: like if you just have that like natural ability to
- 3:06Speaker 5: like open up, but I think it is that is.
- 3:09Speaker 2: Such a gift. Yeah, because to be able.
- 3:12Speaker 5: To let our emotions it's such a release, isn't it.
- 3:15Speaker 5: It is such a release.
- 3:16Speaker 2: So oh we're starting off to the show really emotional.
- 3:21Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, I think that's so true. I'm going to
- 3:27Speaker 1: do one on the same note because we had just
- 3:30Speaker 1: we've just done Italy in Greece and we were doing
- 3:35Speaker 1: the Athens Acropolis, right, and like I love seeing like
- 3:39Speaker 1: the history and all that stuff, but like I'm like
- 3:41Speaker 1: a see a thing and be like Okay, let's go,
- 3:44Speaker 1: Like I don't need to look at a building for
- 3:46Speaker 1: like more than five minutes.
- 3:49Speaker 2: I am uncultured. I'm an uncultured.
- 3:52Speaker 1: It's fine, like when I'm looking at a painting, like
- 3:55Speaker 1: I'm going to see the Mona Lisa and be like okay,
- 3:58Speaker 1: like I'm saying it like that, like ticked off. She's gorgeous,
- 4:02Speaker 1: goodbye Mona.
- 4:03Speaker 2: Like we had a good time. But anyway, so I.
- 4:05Speaker 1: Was kind of also dreading it because you have to
- 4:08Speaker 1: walk up the hill and it was like forty fucking
- 4:11Speaker 1: degrees and I'm just like a windy and lazy by nature.
- 4:14Speaker 1: And then anyway, we were sitting there waiting for this
- 4:16Speaker 1: tor to start, and this little girl with her family
- 4:19Speaker 1: was having a MENTV about she didn't like her frozen
- 4:22Speaker 1: yogurt was valad.
- 4:24Speaker 2: I was like, they've been there. I'm like, did you
- 4:28Speaker 2: think it was ice cream? Because I've had that, Yeah,
- 4:31Speaker 2: yogurt disgusting.
- 4:33Speaker 1: Anyway, and her dad turns to her and he goes,
- 4:37Speaker 1: your attitude determines whether.
- 4:39Speaker 3: Or not you have a good day, and I was like, Dad,
- 4:42Speaker 3: you it just rocked me to my cap.
- 4:44Speaker 2: Because I was like, fuck, that's true.
- 4:46Speaker 1: Because I was sitting there being like I'm stressed about
- 4:48Speaker 1: how hot it's going to be and how much walking
- 4:50Speaker 1: there's going to be. And then I was like, wait,
- 4:52Speaker 1: I'm not going to have a good day if I'm
- 4:54Speaker 1: like sitting here being like with my attitude. And I
- 4:58Speaker 1: literally was like you, I know that there's multifaceted things
- 5:01Speaker 1: of our emotions and you can't be like, oh, I'm
- 5:03Speaker 1: happy and that'll like cure your depression. I get that,
- 5:06Speaker 1: but I think it does kind of help when you
- 5:08Speaker 1: are in those little things of being a little bit
- 5:10Speaker 1: of a brat. We love brat, but we don't love
- 5:13Speaker 1: brats like we're having a brat We're having a brat summer,
- 5:15Speaker 1: but in good.
- 5:16Speaker 2: Vibes, not bad vibes, you know. Yeah yeah yeah, And
- 5:19Speaker 2: it was really good.
- 5:20Speaker 1: And someone ever, there's like those moments that I'm a
- 5:22Speaker 1: bit tired or I'm like there, you know, everyone knows
- 5:26Speaker 1: exactly the vibe be like, no, my attitude determine whether
- 5:29Speaker 1: or not I'm having a good time or a bad
- 5:31Speaker 1: time with frozen yogurt.
- 5:32Speaker 2: So that's me. I love that. I love that. I
- 5:35Speaker 2: was like, we love a bit of dad wisdom on
- 5:36Speaker 2: the show.
- 5:37Speaker 1: Yeah, he was wearing tavas and I was wearing tavas.
- 5:43Speaker 5: It's giving emotional intelligence as well, that's what which is
- 5:46Speaker 5: always sexy. Yeah you know, yeah, my god, Wait this
- 5:57Speaker 5: is so off topic, but have you ever experienced like
- 6:00Speaker 5: not liking someone's pheromones before?
- 6:02Speaker 2: What natural mask? Yeah? I have experienced, had you, Yeah,
- 6:09Speaker 2: but only once. Okay.
- 6:10Speaker 5: You know you always hear about people who are dating
- 6:12Speaker 5: professionals and that's what they do, they help people date
- 6:15Speaker 5: and blah blah blah. I always hear these people saying, like,
- 6:17Speaker 5: you know, literally down to people's natural pheromones is whether
- 6:20Speaker 5: they're compatible for you or not, right.
- 6:21Speaker 2: And I've always thought, like, what does that even mean
- 6:25Speaker 2: I experience? Oh my god, was or.
- 6:30Speaker 5: Feel okay, was going too much into detail. Okay, I
- 6:34Speaker 5: have an experience with a male who.
- 6:38Speaker 4: Really horrible Yeah read.
- 6:42Speaker 2: Already during the morning.
- 6:45Speaker 5: But I had an experience where how can I say this?
- 6:48Speaker 5: I had an adult sleepover and I remember like waking
- 6:51Speaker 5: up and just thinking like it was just a smell.
- 6:55Speaker 5: But it wasn't like a bad smell of like bo
- 6:57Speaker 5: or like far like it was just like s smell
- 7:02Speaker 5: and it was like I just it wasn't my smell.
- 7:05Speaker 5: It was no smell I've ever experienced, and I thought,
- 7:08Speaker 5: oh my god, this is just his smell.
- 7:11Speaker 2: But it disgusted me.
- 7:13Speaker 5: Wow, And to be fair, I've never experienced it again,
- 7:16Speaker 5: so maybe he was just like really really really just
- 7:18Speaker 5: not the one for me.
- 7:19Speaker 2: And I never saw him again.
- 7:23Speaker 1: Sorry, thanks Africa.
- 7:24Speaker 2: Yeah it was almost Yeah. So anyway, off topic, what's
- 7:34Speaker 2: your life?
- 7:34Speaker 4: Right?
- 7:35Speaker 2: My life lesson?
- 7:35Speaker 4: I'll make it a quick one, and that's one that
- 7:37Speaker 4: we've said on the show again, but I experienced it
- 7:39Speaker 4: again this week truly, so I'm going to bring it up.
- 7:42Speaker 2: And it's that.
- 7:44Speaker 4: Going for a salt water swim is the absolute baptismal
- 7:49Speaker 4: cleanse that you need no matter what is going wrong
- 7:53Speaker 4: in your life. Hungover, go for a swim, sad, go
- 7:57Speaker 4: for a swim, hot, go for a swim.
- 8:00Speaker 2: It works a charm every single time.
- 8:07Speaker 1: Okay, So you are literally one of the funniest people
- 8:12Speaker 1: I've ever seen in my entire face.
- 8:15Speaker 2: Stupid, so stupid, and I love it.
- 8:18Speaker 1: Like the humor is like what how like what if
- 8:24Speaker 1: your weird little brain?
- 8:25Speaker 2: I love it. It's my favorite thing. You're like, okay,
- 8:27Speaker 2: I'm taking somebody. I love it. Words of reformation like
- 8:33Speaker 2: You're who I want to be when I grow up.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Like, were you always just this silly, goofy little girl.
- 8:39Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, I think like wherever I've gone in life,
- 8:44Speaker 5: it's you. I've always just been like the cast cloud
- 8:47Speaker 5: or like my my friends.
- 8:48Speaker 2: I've always attracted.
- 8:49Speaker 5: Like the weird people because I only want to be
- 8:52Speaker 5: around like mined people, yeah, who're a little bit silly,
- 8:55Speaker 5: don't take themselves too seriously, like I just don't have
- 8:58Speaker 5: fun in life. And because I am an emotional person,
- 9:01Speaker 5: like I like being around like hearted people who can
- 9:05Speaker 5: like lift my.
- 9:06Speaker 2: Spirits and I like to do that for other people
- 9:08Speaker 2: as well.
- 9:08Speaker 5: But yeah, always, always, And that's what was so funny,
- 9:11Speaker 5: is like when I got on TikTok, I was like
- 9:13Speaker 5: doing things that was inside jokes within like my friendship
- 9:17Speaker 5: group that I would do in always.
- 9:20Speaker 2: I don't even know where the tongue started, like it
- 9:22Speaker 2: just just began.
- 9:25Speaker 5: And then when I started doing it on TikTok and
- 9:27Speaker 5: everyone was like loving it, I was like this cannot
- 9:29Speaker 5: be real, Like that these everyone in the world seems
- 9:32Speaker 5: to enjoy and get the whole like humor.
- 9:35Speaker 2: It's so funny.
- 9:37Speaker 1: And it's a revolution on the street and do the
- 9:42Speaker 1: town thing always. I always, because anyone who doesn't get
- 9:46Speaker 1: it just says rand people running up for.
- 9:48Speaker 5: Someone and going hello, hell, It'll always just hell, or
- 9:54Speaker 5: like oh my god, you're the tongue girl, and I'm like.
- 9:58Speaker 2: Yeah, text, yeah that does be like you're the tongue girl.
- 10:04Speaker 5: Literally, I know you can imagine like when I I
- 10:08Speaker 5: haven't been on a date in ages, but when I
- 10:09Speaker 5: had been on dates, like people like what do you do?
- 10:11Speaker 2: Then I'm like, well, I'm on TikTok. Can I watch
- 10:13Speaker 2: some videos like I'm like.
- 10:15Speaker 5: Baby, just prepare yourself for this, you know, and if
- 10:19Speaker 5: they're not laughing, then get out.
- 10:22Speaker 2: What's it like dating?
- 10:25Speaker 1: And because obviously you would have to date someone really funny, right, well.
- 10:29Speaker 2: Yeah, they have to make me laugh.
- 10:31Speaker 5: But I like, I was literally just talking about this
- 10:34Speaker 5: with somebody, and I often always end up like my
- 10:38Speaker 5: past relationships, I've always ended up with like silly, funny boys,
- 10:42Speaker 5: but boys who are like quietly silly and funny.
- 10:48Speaker 2: Yeah, because like a little freak, I'm the main character.
- 10:51Speaker 2: And I do feel like.
- 10:52Speaker 5: You have to have a balance, Like I couldn't. I
- 10:54Speaker 5: couldn't be with someone who is also like a main character.
- 10:58Speaker 2: Because like it.
- 10:59Speaker 5: Just I'm so naturally like that. That's just what I'm
- 11:04Speaker 5: like as a person. And I have friends who are
- 11:06Speaker 5: equally main characters. But I think in a romantic relationship,
- 11:09Speaker 5: I like to have someone who balances me out. So
- 11:12Speaker 5: I suppose, yes, they have to make me laugh, but I.
- 11:15Speaker 1: But they can't be funnier they yeah, say you have
- 11:17Speaker 1: to be the funny.
- 11:18Speaker 2: You're never going to be funnier than me.
- 11:21Speaker 5: But like you're real, yeah, but you're just you need
- 11:23Speaker 5: to just let me shine.
- 11:25Speaker 2: And I let you shine in your little.
- 11:29Speaker 1: In your way, in your great at the end of
- 11:31Speaker 1: that when I let you out of twelve years.
- 11:36Speaker 2: Exactly when I let you out your cage. Baby.
- 11:37Speaker 5: But like no, in like I like a confident man.
- 11:42Speaker 5: But just like let me shine because as well, like
- 11:45Speaker 5: when you're a man, you're you're able to shine always
- 11:49Speaker 5: in life, just existing.
- 11:50Speaker 2: So please just let me shine.
- 11:52Speaker 4: I love that, you know what I mean, holding a
- 11:55Speaker 4: spotlight on all the men.
- 11:56Speaker 2: Yeah, like you can just you're in.
- 11:59Speaker 5: The spotlight when you just exist, sweetheart, So like let
- 12:04Speaker 5: me yeah, let me be me please. So yeah, they
- 12:07Speaker 5: have to like be my like hype man.
- 12:10Speaker 2: That's yeah, number one thing I love.
- 12:13Speaker 5: That, but it's like your other ex definitely, like this
- 12:19Speaker 5: is like the best minimum things, but like being a
- 12:22Speaker 5: misogynist immediately, I'm just like, oh my god, I.
- 12:25Speaker 2: Just don't like like lad lad lad culture.
- 12:28Speaker 5: I hate it. Yeah, I think that's just an inch
- 12:30Speaker 5: for me. If you're like a real laddie lad. I'm
- 12:33Speaker 5: just like, no, please stay away from me because I
- 12:36Speaker 5: don't want to have to educate you on like why
- 12:39Speaker 5: like that's offensive.
- 12:40Speaker 2: So I actually kind of like feminine men. Yeah, I
- 12:44Speaker 2: feel like we both, do you know what I mean?
- 12:48Speaker 5: But yeah, I think it's just the general things bad breath,
- 12:51Speaker 5: bad hygiene, yours. I just I can't like basic human
- 12:59Speaker 5: skill us.
- 13:00Speaker 1: Yeah he do, because it's like I'm not signing up
- 13:02Speaker 1: to being about that.
- 13:03Speaker 2: Yeah no.
- 13:04Speaker 5: And that's the thing my last relationship, I turned into
- 13:08Speaker 5: his mom and I'm like, I just have vowed to myself.
- 13:10Speaker 5: I'm I just I never want to do that ever again,
- 13:13Speaker 5: like please. And also I saw a video about this
- 13:16Speaker 5: on TikTok and it literally, oh my God, resonated with
- 13:19Speaker 5: me so much in that like when you're like a
- 13:21Speaker 5: confident girly, it's so easy to become like the dominant
- 13:25Speaker 5: one in the relationship. And like you know, everyone talks
- 13:28Speaker 5: about like sitting in your your divine feminine and like
- 13:30Speaker 5: letting the man sit in his masculine. And I think,
- 13:33Speaker 5: like you know, equality and all that amazing bloodlines. I
- 13:37Speaker 5: think whatever, like it can all we can all imagin
- 13:39Speaker 5: into one. But I do think human instinct is like
- 13:41Speaker 5: the man's probably gonna want to sit in his masculine
- 13:43Speaker 5: a little bit, and I'm gonna want to sit my feminine.
- 13:45Speaker 2: I know I do.
- 13:46Speaker 5: But in my last relationships, I just feel like I've
- 13:48Speaker 5: always ended up becoming like.
- 13:51Speaker 2: Because like provided they don't let me.
- 13:54Speaker 5: Yeah, like they don't let me sit in my feminine.
- 13:56Speaker 2: Sometimes I want to be sick and.
- 14:00Speaker 5: I want to be a pup, but no, you like
- 14:04Speaker 5: just like not being like sitting in your masculine.
- 14:07Speaker 2: I just like sometimes let me be feminine. Yeah you
- 14:10Speaker 2: know what I mean.
- 14:11Speaker 1: To run the like I think that's the thing. It's
- 14:13Speaker 1: like mothering. It's like you then have.
- 14:15Speaker 2: To do everything.
- 14:15Speaker 1: Yeah, yes, yes, I have to tell you how to
- 14:18Speaker 1: be a grown up.
- 14:20Speaker 2: Yeah, Like, and I'm not I'm not saying like be
- 14:22Speaker 2: a man in the way in.
- 14:22Speaker 5: Which like society has like decided that gatherer like don't. Yeah,
- 14:27Speaker 5: I'm not saying like you should earn this amount. I'm
- 14:29Speaker 5: saying like peace, Can you just like tickle my arm
- 14:33Speaker 5: and like take my back, give me like pick.
- 14:35Speaker 2: Me up, can feel me feel little like stupid little
- 14:43Speaker 2: things like I don't know, like just yeah, yeah, and
- 14:50Speaker 2: that big one.
- 14:54Speaker 4: I think it's really interesting because you've said that you
- 14:57Speaker 4: have always been super outgoing and confident, but also you
- 15:00Speaker 4: have said that you're very emotional. So do you feel
- 15:03Speaker 4: like you do have to recharge or are you always
- 15:07Speaker 4: on and like this.
- 15:08Speaker 2: Oh my god, I have to recharge so much? How
- 15:11Speaker 2: do you do it? Still figuring it out?
- 15:14Speaker 5: Yeah, no, but it is interesting, like I think when
- 15:18Speaker 5: you are like showing yourself to be a certain way
- 15:21Speaker 5: on the Internet or publicly just in general, like there's
- 15:24Speaker 5: such a pressure like just.
- 15:26Speaker 2: Be that all the time.
- 15:27Speaker 5: And I think I'm very open on probably more my
- 15:31Speaker 5: like Instagram than I am my TikTok about like how
- 15:33Speaker 5: emotional I am and and that side of me. But
- 15:37Speaker 5: you know, it's like you are dehumanized so much when
- 15:41Speaker 5: you're just like a funny person in general, like on
- 15:44Speaker 5: the internet, because again, people don't want to know you
- 15:47Speaker 5: to be anything else but.
- 15:48Speaker 2: That, And I'm still figuring out how to like come
- 15:51Speaker 2: to terms with that because I'm like, that's.
- 15:53Speaker 5: Yeah, being funny and being silly is such a big
- 15:56Speaker 5: part of who I am, but also being emotional and
- 15:58Speaker 5: being like vulnerable is also a huge part of who
- 16:02Speaker 5: I am, and like, if you don't accept that part
- 16:04Speaker 5: of me, then you're not accepting me as a whole.
- 16:07Speaker 2: And then that's like, what do you mean? Like, so
- 16:11Speaker 2: it's hard.
- 16:12Speaker 5: It is hard, And like if I'm walking down the
- 16:14Speaker 5: street and I have, you know, something bad has happened
- 16:16Speaker 5: and then someone recognizes me, it's like learning how to kind.
- 16:20Speaker 2: Of turn it on.
- 16:22Speaker 5: And I don't want to dis a point anyone And
- 16:25Speaker 5: I always want everyone to have an experience with me
- 16:29Speaker 5: that they can go away and be like, oh it
- 16:31Speaker 5: was great. And but that's an unfair pressure to put
- 16:34Speaker 5: on myself, which I know now, but I suppose in terms.
- 16:38Speaker 2: Of how do I recharge is I will just stay
- 16:42Speaker 2: in my flat and like, will you got your little
- 16:45Speaker 2: cat now? My uncle two?
- 16:48Speaker 5: So again that's like another thing that's really helps me.
- 16:50Speaker 5: Actually having my kitties is like, actually I can just
- 16:55Speaker 5: sit in my flat now, and not feel so lonely
- 16:57Speaker 5: because I've.
- 16:57Speaker 2: Got like Sukilulu so close baby. I was Suki Lulu
- 17:06Speaker 2: and Mooney Will Will.
- 17:08Speaker 5: It was so perfect though I knew it because I
- 17:10Speaker 5: don't know, if you know the the like why I
- 17:14Speaker 5: came up with the name Suku Lulu focus I did.
- 17:16Speaker 5: I did a video where I spoke about if I
- 17:19Speaker 5: ever got a pet, like it would have to be
- 17:21Speaker 5: called something crazy. And I don't understand it when people
- 17:23Speaker 5: call their pets.
- 17:24Speaker 2: Like John Henry, you know, something like yeah, like something
- 17:28Speaker 2: like Joe. So I made a video of being like
- 17:31Speaker 2: I would literally call my pet like and it just
- 17:35Speaker 2: came out. And then so everyone was like, if you ever.
- 17:38Speaker 5: Get a pet, you have to call it Sucululu, and
- 17:40Speaker 5: I was like, it's actually perfect because I can call
- 17:42Speaker 5: her Suki for sure, but then her full name is Suki.
- 17:46Speaker 2: Lulu and you can do the tongue literally.
- 17:49Speaker 5: And then I ended up coming, you know, away with
- 17:52Speaker 5: two and I thought, well, he has to be called
- 17:54Speaker 5: something a bit crazy as well, and I'd already decided
- 17:57Speaker 5: I wanted to call him Moon.
- 17:59Speaker 2: So then I was like, oh, okay, he's just going.
- 18:00Speaker 5: To have to be like Mooney wear will's.
- 18:02Speaker 2: Something crazy and so there we go.
- 18:06Speaker 5: It's it's perfect in every single way, and they are
- 18:09Speaker 5: perfect in every single way.
- 18:10Speaker 2: So they help me recharge.
- 18:12Speaker 1: Which is kind of take a bit of time away
- 18:15Speaker 1: from the digital spaces in your life when you are
- 18:18Speaker 1: doing that rechart.
- 18:20Speaker 2: Do you know it's so hard?
- 18:21Speaker 5: And again that's something that I'm like, that's a journey
- 18:23Speaker 5: for me to know when it's okay to like step away,
- 18:26Speaker 5: because again, like I want to provide content for people
- 18:30Speaker 5: and and like you know, I guess there any messages
- 18:33Speaker 5: from people saying like you're literally getting me through so
- 18:36Speaker 5: many hard times and like that's so amazing, and like
- 18:39Speaker 5: I love that I can do that for people. So
- 18:42Speaker 5: but again I don't want pressure. Yeah it's pressure, and
- 18:46Speaker 5: but I don't think that they want me to ever
- 18:47Speaker 5: feel that pressure at all.
- 18:49Speaker 2: It's it's pressure I.
- 18:50Speaker 5: Put on myself and it's only myself to blame for
- 18:52Speaker 5: that pressure. But yeah, I think like I should probably
- 18:56Speaker 5: learn how to kind of switch my phone off.
- 18:58Speaker 1: And you know, there's very hard people that I know
- 19:03Speaker 1: that like ken success.
- 19:05Speaker 2: Yeah, and like you know when people.
- 19:06Speaker 5: Take like it's the breaks or it's tiptop breaks, Like I
- 19:10Speaker 5: actually can't do that.
- 19:11Speaker 2: Because like it's my job.
- 19:12Speaker 5: So it's it's knowing I suppose just being like okay,
- 19:16Speaker 5: you know, when is this getting too much or like
- 19:19Speaker 5: but you know, I actually haven't felt yet touch wood
- 19:25Speaker 5: that like it's ever got too much where I'm like,
- 19:28Speaker 5: oh my god, I need to come off the app.
- 19:30Speaker 2: And you know, it's.
- 19:31Speaker 5: Always felt very welcoming and I've got such a nice
- 19:34Speaker 5: community of like fans and.
- 19:37Speaker 1: Little who yeah, and so you.
- 19:39Speaker 5: Know, it's it's really reached a place where I feel
- 19:41Speaker 5: really safe, which is so lovely.
- 19:43Speaker 2: Yeah, so happy.
- 19:45Speaker 5: Ye.
- 19:45Speaker 2: It's like it can be like it can be ruthless
- 19:48Speaker 2: out there.
- 19:49Speaker 5: I mean when I was building my profile, it was
- 19:52Speaker 5: hell like really yeah, and I found I.
- 19:54Speaker 2: Got more hate.
- 19:55Speaker 5: And it's interesting because I do think the bigger you get,
- 19:58Speaker 5: the more hate you get as well. But I do
- 20:01Speaker 5: feel when you're growing, that's like a really crucial key
- 20:05Speaker 5: point when people will like attack you because it's like, oh,
- 20:08Speaker 5: you're trying to do something with your life.
- 20:10Speaker 2: Well you're not allowed, how dare you?
- 20:16Speaker 5: Like?
- 20:16Speaker 2: Who do you think you are?
- 20:17Speaker 5: And most of the time for me, it was just
- 20:19Speaker 5: like teenage boys like yeah, I'm like a funny girl, baby,
- 20:23Speaker 5: like call me when your pubes come in, you know
- 20:25Speaker 5: what I mean?
- 20:26Speaker 2: Like literally, So I don't know.
- 20:29Speaker 5: Now, it's like really reached the point where I'm like,
- 20:30Speaker 5: I feel that this. You know, I've kind of established
- 20:34Speaker 5: who I am on the app and and what I
- 20:36Speaker 5: do that you can't really touch me.
- 20:38Speaker 2: So you what you're going to do? Do you know what
- 20:41Speaker 2: I mean?
- 20:41Speaker 5: I'm doing something so innocent and making so many people
- 20:43Speaker 5: laugh and happy. So if you've got problem with that, yeah, exactly.
- 20:47Speaker 4: And you've also had so many amazing opportunities springboard off
- 20:51Speaker 4: of this platform and community that you've created, including so
- 20:56Speaker 4: many celeb interviews and interact celebrity the hot Yeah, because
- 21:03Speaker 4: you've met like Austin he say, Eric from the live
- 21:07Speaker 4: action Little Murm.
- 21:08Speaker 5: Yeah, I know, oh god, the honey. No, I would
- 21:12Speaker 5: probably say Austin Butler. Yeah, but no, I'd probably say Austin.
- 21:17Speaker 2: But I felt.
- 21:17Speaker 5: I actually felt that me and Austin I had a moment.
- 21:19Speaker 5: But then I learned that like he's.
- 21:22Speaker 2: Like that with everyone.
- 21:26Speaker 5: I'm so like, oh, if you ever meet him, you'll
- 21:33Speaker 5: literally be like, wow, you're in love with me? No,
- 21:35Speaker 5: I'm joking literally, like he's just his eye contact is
- 21:38Speaker 5: like so intense. That's so hot though, and he's so
- 21:42Speaker 5: charming and like this is all like.
- 21:44Speaker 1: Deep now as well and had an identity crisis, oh
- 21:49Speaker 1: my god, but and he's so talented like this As
- 21:51Speaker 1: a human I found him to be.
- 21:52Speaker 2: Very pleasant and obviously he's very very handsome.
- 21:55Speaker 4: I was going to say, I love in all of
- 21:58Speaker 4: the interviews that you do, like you're still just so
- 22:01Speaker 4: confident and one hundred percent yourself. So do you have
- 22:06Speaker 4: any tips for anybody to stay confident and be yourself
- 22:10Speaker 4: even in moments that are scary or intimidating.
- 22:14Speaker 5: I think, to be honest, I have always had a
- 22:20Speaker 5: lot of belief in myself, but I think that comes
- 22:22Speaker 5: from a self love journey. So I suppose it is
- 22:28Speaker 5: a lot about believing in yourself and knowing that, like
- 22:32Speaker 5: you know, if you're being put in a situation like that,
- 22:34Speaker 5: it's probably because you're.
- 22:35Speaker 2: Good at it, for one, and that's a lot of people.
- 22:39Speaker 5: Yeah, And I think, like, you know, it's obviously because
- 22:42Speaker 5: people believe in you, so like you should believe in
- 22:45Speaker 5: yourself because somebody's gone, right, well, we're gonna get Maddy
- 22:48Speaker 5: for that because she's great.
- 22:49Speaker 2: That's the way I think of.
- 22:50Speaker 5: It, and I think, well, you know, I know what
- 22:53Speaker 5: I'm doing, and also I will in a way, it's
- 22:58Speaker 5: having my audience obvious is like a massive confidence boost
- 23:03Speaker 5: going into those situations because I think, well, I know that,
- 23:07Speaker 5: even if because I get nervous because I think these
- 23:09Speaker 5: celebrities probably don't know who I am, they probably don't
- 23:12Speaker 5: know any of my content, and they're probably going to
- 23:15Speaker 5: go like, what the hell is this girl doing? But
- 23:19Speaker 5: and that is the nerve wracking part, is I think,
- 23:21Speaker 5: oh my god, I'm just gonna embarrass myself in front
- 23:23Speaker 5: of these people. But like when I always have to
- 23:27Speaker 5: think of my audience and like the reason why I've
- 23:29Speaker 5: been brought in is one because I'm good at this,
- 23:31Speaker 5: but also because it's going to perform really well on
- 23:33Speaker 5: my socials and everyone's going to love it.
- 23:35Speaker 2: So for me personally, that's what gets me through.
- 23:39Speaker 5: But for like the average person, it is a lot
- 23:42Speaker 5: of just self belief and that comes from self love,
- 23:47Speaker 5: and like there's so many ways in which you can
- 23:51Speaker 5: find that and it's such a complicated journey, but like
- 23:53Speaker 5: I always encourage people to like find that self love
- 23:57Speaker 5: and love yourself so deeply because.
- 24:00Speaker 2: You've only truly got yourself.
- 24:01Speaker 5: But like if the only person holding you back is
- 24:05Speaker 5: yourself and a lot of the time, the nerves and
- 24:07Speaker 5: like the worries you have is no one else has
- 24:10Speaker 5: told you that it's yeah, yeah.
- 24:12Speaker 4: And no one else can say it either. That's what
- 24:14Speaker 4: I always try to show myself. I'm like, no one
- 24:17Speaker 4: else like knows or thinks that you're freaking out.
- 24:20Speaker 2: It's just in your head and you can just fake
- 24:22Speaker 2: it till you make it million percent.
- 24:23Speaker 5: And it's interesting you say, like, oh, you're so confident
- 24:26Speaker 5: because in those moments like I am so I am
- 24:29Speaker 5: so nervous, and I get so nervous, but I yeah,
- 24:32Speaker 5: I suppose you just go into like a zone of
- 24:34Speaker 5: like right, let's just get this done. And that comes
- 24:38Speaker 5: from theater training as well. Obviously that's what I did before,
- 24:41Speaker 5: like training to be like a performer, so like I
- 24:44Speaker 5: have those skills to be able to like just go
- 24:46Speaker 5: get into it, get into character almost you know. So
- 24:50Speaker 5: I suppose just know that the reason why you're in
- 24:53Speaker 5: that situation is probably because you're good at it.
- 24:55Speaker 1: Put that shit on a shirt, because yeah, it's like
- 24:57Speaker 1: the imposter syndrome of it all. Oh my god, when
- 25:00Speaker 1: you're in a job interview or when you're like I
- 25:02Speaker 1: actually don't know what I'm.
- 25:03Speaker 2: Doing like you do. Yeah, I wouldn't be there if
- 25:05Speaker 2: you didn't.
- 25:06Speaker 3: Oh.
- 25:06Speaker 5: And also someone once told me actually, an Australian musical
- 25:10Speaker 5: director who I was working with on a show I
- 25:13Speaker 5: was doing a drama school, told me this advice. And
- 25:15Speaker 5: he said to me, whenever you feel nervous, just say
- 25:18Speaker 5: to yourself, fuck it and.
- 25:20Speaker 2: Just do it.
- 25:21Speaker 5: And like, I know that sounds so simple, and but
- 25:25Speaker 5: like when you actually think about what that is doing,
- 25:29Speaker 5: is that's like really just resetting your brain to just
- 25:31Speaker 5: go like who actually cares?
- 25:35Speaker 2: Only me? So like fuck it, I'm just doing it.
- 25:38Speaker 2: Fuck it? Who cares?
- 25:39Speaker 5: And like I always have always remembered him telling me that,
- 25:42Speaker 5: because it's it's a really good tool to like trick
- 25:44Speaker 5: your brain.
- 25:45Speaker 2: It's a good switch. Yeah, just like fuck it.
- 25:50Speaker 5: And do you know that the same feeling you feel
- 25:52Speaker 5: when you're like anxious or nervous is exactly the same
- 25:55Speaker 5: chemicals being released as when you're excited. So once I
- 25:59Speaker 5: learned that, But your brain can't differentiate the two, but
- 26:02Speaker 5: it's exactly the same.
- 26:03Speaker 2: So like sometimes you just have to trick your brain
- 26:06Speaker 2: to think, actually, I'm excited. It's not the it's do
- 26:12Speaker 2: you know what though, well, we probably.
- 26:14Speaker 1: Have like bad habits of being like there are moments
- 26:16Speaker 1: that are exciting and should be exciting, but we like
- 26:19Speaker 1: have bad habits of being like this is exciting, yes,
- 26:22Speaker 1: should be nervous?
- 26:23Speaker 2: Yes? And no?
- 26:25Speaker 5: Or you're like this is all going too good. There's
- 26:27Speaker 5: got to be something I'm anxious about.
- 26:31Speaker 2: I'm like, I'm not stressed. I'm like find it, to
- 26:35Speaker 2: find what it. Initially I'm sending the neurons to be like,
- 26:39Speaker 2: what am I exciting? I'm like, what are you doing?
- 26:43Speaker 2: You a little weirder? Just enjoy yourself.
- 26:46Speaker 5: And I think that's like it's good to know that
- 26:51Speaker 5: because also it's a good way to understand why, like
- 26:54Speaker 5: when you're excited, while you might confuse that with being anxious,
- 26:57Speaker 5: because your body doesn't.
- 26:59Speaker 2: Your body's just a feeling.
- 27:00Speaker 5: So then it's up to you and your brain to
- 27:03Speaker 5: consciously decide is it anxiety or is excitement? And sometimes
- 27:07Speaker 5: that's hard, and like you know, everyone's got better skills
- 27:11Speaker 5: at that, But like that's always been such a thing
- 27:13Speaker 5: that I've always remembered. It's like whenever I'm nervous or anxious,
- 27:16Speaker 5: I think, like, okay, maybe I could just be excited
- 27:20Speaker 5: right now, or.
- 27:20Speaker 2: Like try and cry.
- 27:25Speaker 5: I mean, obviously it depends on the situation, but I
- 27:27Speaker 5: was literally talking about this as well, like this is
- 27:30Speaker 5: obviously relevant to everyone's situation, and I think medicine is
- 27:33Speaker 5: such an important thing and like should be championed and
- 27:35Speaker 5: there should be no.
- 27:36Speaker 2: Taboo about it.
- 27:37Speaker 5: But like I've often thought about going on some kind
- 27:41Speaker 5: of medicine to help my anxiety, which I'm still thinking
- 27:44Speaker 5: about doing, and I think, absolutely you should do it
- 27:46Speaker 5: if it's the right choice for you. But I would
- 27:48Speaker 5: never want to completely switch off my anxiety because I
- 27:52Speaker 5: find it helpful tool, like because it's telling me when
- 27:56Speaker 5: and I'm really I like to think I'm really intuitive,
- 27:59Speaker 5: So like if I'm feeling anxious about something and I'm
- 28:01Speaker 5: not one hundred percent sure, white, yes, it's uncomfortable and
- 28:04Speaker 5: sometimes it's not always the healthiest thing, but it has
- 28:09Speaker 5: helped me in so many situations, and so, like you know,
- 28:13Speaker 5: I think sometimes it's finding a balance of like you know,
- 28:16Speaker 5: in terms of like maybe something that's not going to
- 28:18Speaker 5: completely switch off everything you can.
- 28:21Speaker 2: You need it because I think it is helpful.
- 28:24Speaker 1: And for sure it's that like very cheesy saying, but
- 28:27Speaker 1: it's like, but if you don't have like the bad emotions,
- 28:30Speaker 1: you don't have the good emotions, Like you don't if
- 28:32Speaker 1: you don't experience any.
- 28:33Speaker 2: Of those, you don't experience any highs by that.
- 28:36Speaker 1: Completely and like it's cheesy as fun, but it's cheesy
- 28:40Speaker 1: stuff is good.
- 28:41Speaker 2: Yeah. I love being cheese cheese.
- 28:45Speaker 4: It's fun.
- 28:46Speaker 1: It's like more fun to be cheesy than it is
- 28:48Speaker 1: to be take life too SERI.
- 28:50Speaker 2: Yeah I know.
- 28:53Speaker 1: But we saw you in the show with Nicola.
- 28:56Speaker 5: Yeah yeah, yeah, that was amazing. That was like so
- 29:02Speaker 5: much that it was so good honestly, like just like
- 29:07Speaker 5: when I talk about this makes my heart warm.
- 29:09Speaker 2: I had just such an amazing time and like.
- 29:10Speaker 5: It was really like the first it was the first
- 29:13Speaker 5: and only TV thing I've done so far, like acting wise,
- 29:17Speaker 5: it was just such a moment for me to again
- 29:22Speaker 5: like I had the imposter syndrome. I came on set
- 29:24Speaker 5: and I was like, oh my god, like why am
- 29:26Speaker 5: I here? Like was anyone going to take me seriously?
- 29:29Speaker 5: And then to have like the director and the writer
- 29:32Speaker 5: like on set be like so excited that I was
- 29:34Speaker 5: there and so excited that was doing the part and
- 29:37Speaker 5: I had to audition for it. I owned my place,
- 29:39Speaker 5: and like, you know it really I came away from
- 29:42Speaker 5: that experience going the only person that makes you think
- 29:46Speaker 5: you can't do this now because you do TikTok and
- 29:48Speaker 5: that's how people view is you, and like, yes, I
- 29:50Speaker 5: can do this because I trained in it before I
- 29:53Speaker 5: was doing any of this, and like Nicola was somebody
- 29:56Speaker 5: who I was speaking about, Like when I was talking
- 29:59Speaker 5: about these people who were so successful in what they
- 30:02Speaker 5: do and they still experience imposter syndrome, coming onto set
- 30:05Speaker 5: and just having these people to talk to were so
- 30:07Speaker 5: inspiring and and like I just loved it so much
- 30:11Speaker 5: and I really hope I get to do more of
- 30:13Speaker 5: it because you know, and like thank you.
- 30:17Speaker 1: You know this sounds weird, but it's like I didn't
- 30:21Speaker 1: feel like you were you when you were playing a role.
- 30:24Speaker 1: I wasn't like, oh, you're Maddie from TikTok playing an
- 30:27Speaker 1: acting role like you.
- 30:28Speaker 2: I really was like just.
- 30:29Speaker 1: Watching the show, like you have that moment of recognition
- 30:32Speaker 1: be like oh, and then I was just like I
- 30:35Speaker 1: just thought you did an amazing job.
- 30:37Speaker 2: So I really wanted to say that much. That means
- 30:39Speaker 2: a lot to me.
- 30:40Speaker 5: That really does, because I think it was a risk
- 30:43Speaker 5: for them as well to take on it like a TikToker,
- 30:46Speaker 5: because I've had meetings with the producers like afterwards, and
- 30:50Speaker 5: everyone was so pleased and again, like it even just
- 30:53Speaker 5: speaking to them was like, it's just reassuring and re encouraging,
- 30:57Speaker 5: and they were like, you know, we didn't know what
- 31:00Speaker 5: to expect taking on a TikToker, but like you can.
- 31:03Speaker 2: Really act like it was like we were.
- 31:05Speaker 1: Really pleased and you can sing, which is there anything
- 31:09Speaker 1: you can't do?
- 31:10Speaker 2: What the fuck you know? Actually? Do you have? This
- 31:17Speaker 2: is so nationient. It's just because I love musicals. Do
- 31:19Speaker 2: you have a favorite musical? Oh my god, I don't
- 31:22Speaker 2: know how to pick. You can pick it up for okay,
- 31:25Speaker 2: I would say like.
- 31:25Speaker 5: My ultimate favorite of like if I think like what
- 31:29Speaker 5: thirteen year old Maddie would say when she was like
- 31:31Speaker 5: completely musical.
- 31:33Speaker 2: True yes, which still lives within me. Is wicked?
- 31:38Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, you get you excited.
- 31:40Speaker 2: The movies sold well.
- 31:44Speaker 5: I think as I've gotten older, I think I would
- 31:46Speaker 5: prefer to play Glinda, but I would Alphabet has been
- 31:50Speaker 5: my dream role since like I could like start to
- 31:53Speaker 5: sing like she literally if I could play either of
- 31:56Speaker 5: those parts at any point in my life, I would
- 31:59Speaker 5: die ultimate dream.
- 32:00Speaker 2: But yeah, hard parts, both of them, so we'll see.
- 32:03Speaker 5: Yes, Glynda is a fun role, so fun, and that's
- 32:06Speaker 5: why I think it probably makes more sense to me
- 32:08Speaker 5: to do Glinda.
- 32:08Speaker 2: Right now, you can be.
- 32:12Speaker 1: But we want to finish the episode like we do
- 32:15Speaker 1: with all of our episodes and ask you what has
- 32:17Speaker 1: been your biggest life lesson on your journey so far.
- 32:20Speaker 5: I would say the things that you believe are your weak.
- 32:26Speaker 2: Points are actually probably your superpowers.
- 32:30Speaker 4: I love that.
- 32:31Speaker 2: What's an example of that?
- 32:33Speaker 5: Probably my being emotional and being silly and being weird,
- 32:40Speaker 5: because I often saw that as like my the annoying
