- 0:00Speaker 1: I am Sherry Knacky and it's time for us to
- 0:03Speaker 1: go to God in prayer. And as always, I invite
- 0:07Speaker 1: you to join along with me in prayer. You know
- 0:10Speaker 1: Fred Hammond has a song called Mender of the Broken Hearts.
- 0:15Speaker 1: I want to pray about those that may be going
- 0:18Speaker 1: through for whatever reason, a broken heart. It could be
- 0:21Speaker 1: a loss of a loved one. It could be a
- 0:22Speaker 1: loss of a relationship, it could be whatever. We know
- 0:26Speaker 1: that God is the mender of the broken heart. He
- 0:29Speaker 1: is the ultimate heal or heavenly Father. We come before
- 0:31Speaker 1: you with our hearts open and honest. Some of them
- 0:35Speaker 1: are wounded, some of them are weary, some of them
- 0:37Speaker 1: are quietly carrying pain that no one else can see.
- 0:41Speaker 1: But Lord, we take comfort in knowing that you are
- 0:46Speaker 1: the mender of the broken hearted. Your word reminds us
- 0:50Speaker 1: and Psalms One forty seven and three that you heal
- 0:54Speaker 1: the broken in heart, and you bind up their wounds.
- 0:57Speaker 1: And today God, we lean into that Father. For every
- 1:02Speaker 1: heart that has been shattered by loss, by disappointment, by betrayal,
- 1:08Speaker 1: or by grief, we ask that you draw near right now,
- 1:13Speaker 1: step into those tender places that have been hurting for
- 1:16Speaker 1: far too long. Touch the areas we've tried to cover up,
- 1:20Speaker 1: and the pain we've tried to push aside, and the
- 1:23Speaker 1: tears we've cried and slaps. You see it all, God,
- 1:28Speaker 1: and we know that you care deeply. Lord, Begin to
- 1:33Speaker 1: mend what feels broken beyond repair peace by peace. Restore
- 1:39Speaker 1: what has been damaged. Where there are cracks, filled and
- 1:44Speaker 1: with your love. Where there are scars, cover them with
- 1:47Speaker 1: your grace. God. Where there is emptiness, pour in your
- 1:50Speaker 1: peace until it overflows, that peace that goes beyond our
- 1:55Speaker 1: human understanding. Father, remind us that brokenness is not the
- 1:59Speaker 1: end of our story. In your hands, broken things are
- 2:03Speaker 1: never wasted. You take what is shattered and you create
- 2:07Speaker 1: something beautiful. You take pain and you turn it into purpose.
- 2:11Speaker 1: You take sorrow and in time you replace it with joy. God,
- 2:16Speaker 1: help us not to rush the healing process, but to
- 2:19Speaker 1: trust You and give us patience. God. When it feels
- 2:23Speaker 1: like healing is taking longer than we expect it. Give us,
- 2:26Speaker 1: Oh God, when discouragement tries to settle in, And give
- 2:30Speaker 1: us the strength God to keep moving forward, even if
- 2:35Speaker 1: it's one Sponstmentum. Lord, God, our hearts as you heal them,
- 2:41Speaker 1: Protect us from bitterness from hardness, from closing ourselves off completely.
- 2:46Speaker 1: Keep our hearts so open and receptive to your love.
- 2:50Speaker 1: Surround us with people who will lift us up, support us,
- 2:54Speaker 1: and remind us that we are not alone. And Father,
- 2:57Speaker 1: when the enemy has tried to convince it that we're
- 3:00Speaker 1: always going to be broken, we declare that that is
- 3:04Speaker 1: not our truth. Our truth is that we are being healed.
- 3:08Speaker 1: Our truth is that we are being restored. Our truth
- 3:11Speaker 1: is that you are working in us even right now.
- 3:15Speaker 1: So today God, we place every broken piece into your hands.
- 3:19Speaker 1: We trust you to mend it. God. We trust you
- 3:21Speaker 1: to heal it. God, we trust you to make us
- 3:24Speaker 1: whole again. Thank you God for being close to us.
- 3:27Speaker 1: Thank you God for caring about us. And thank you
- 3:29Speaker 1: God for loving us through every step of our journeys.
- 3:33Speaker 1: In Jesus' name, Amen, Amen,
