- 0:12Hello friends, it's shown here. It is the 16th of February and
- 0:17we have reached the end of the week together.
- 0:20Good on you. Welcome to Friday.
- 0:22So good to have your company today as we are going to read a
- 0:26sum together. Today we are reading Assam of
- 0:30Praise Assam 104. This sum, well, it's not the
- 0:34shortest time we've read it goes for about 34 versus No, that's
- 0:39not true. 35 versus And it is just a line of praise after
- 0:44praise after praise. Just let them wash over you.
- 0:48You're not going to be able to to soak up all of it, each word,
- 0:51each sentence, because it is just so much praise.
- 0:55But just let your heart go along with it as we come before our
- 0:59incredible praiseworthy God with the posture of praise, and we
- 1:03joined this alarmist in making these statements of praise
- 1:07together. So let's do this, friends.
- 1:10Let us celebrate this Friday, the end of the week, with a
- 1:14moment of recuperation ahead for you.
- 1:17And it's my hope anyway, as we settle ourselves.
- 1:21Come before our God, and praise Him with the words of Psalm 104.
- 1:36Let all that I am, praise the Lord, our Lord, my God, how
- 1:42great you are. You are robed with honour and
- 1:46majesty. You are dressed in a robe of
- 1:49light. You stretch out the starry
- 1:52curtains of the heavens. You lay out the rafters of your
- 1:55home in the rain clouds. You make the clouds your
- 2:00chariot. You ride upon the wings of the
- 2:03wind. The winds are your messengers.
- 2:05Flames of fire are your servants.
- 2:09You place the world on its foundation so it would never be
- 2:12moved. You clothed the earth with
- 2:15floods of water, water that covered even the mountains.
- 2:20At your command. The water fled at the sound of
- 2:23your Thunder. It hurried away.
- 2:26Mountains rose and valleys sank to the levels you decreed.
- 2:31Then you set a firm boundary for the seas so that they would
- 2:35never again cover the earth. You make Springs pour water into
- 2:40the ravines so streams gush down from the mountains.
- 2:44They provide water for all the animals, and the wild donkeys
- 2:48quench their thirst. The birds nest beside the
- 2:51streams and sing among the branches of the trees.
- 2:56You send rain on the mountains from your heavenly home, and you
- 3:00fill the earth with the fruit of your labour.
- 3:04You cause grass to grow for the livestock and plants for people
- 3:08to use. You allow them to produce food
- 3:11from the earth, wine to make them glad, olive oil to soothe
- 3:16their skin and bred to give them strength.
- 3:20The trees of the Lord are well cared for, the Cedars of Lebanon
- 3:24that he planted there. The birds make their nests and
- 3:28the stalks make their homes and the cypresses.
- 3:32High in the mountains live the wild goats and the rocks, former
- 3:37refuge for the high waxes. You made the moon to mark the
- 3:41seasons, and the sun knows when to set.
- 3:45You sent the darkness, and it becomes night when all the
- 3:50forest animals prowl about. Then the Young Lions roar for
- 3:54their prey, stalking the food provided by God.
- 3:59At dawn they slink back into their dens to rest.
- 4:03Then people go off to their work, where they labour until
- 4:07evening. Our Lord, what a variety of
- 4:10things you have made in wisdom, you have made them all.
- 4:14The earth is full of your creatures.
- 4:18Here is the ocean, vast and wide, teeming with life of every
- 4:23kind, both large and small. See the ship sailing along and
- 4:28Leviathan which you made to play in the sea.
- 4:33They all depend on you to give them food as they need it.
- 4:37When you supply it, they gather it, you open your hand to feed
- 4:42them, and they are richly satisfied.
- 4:45But if you turn away from them, they panic.
- 4:48When you take away their breath, they die and turn again to dust.
- 4:53When you give them your breath, life is created and you renew
- 4:58the face of the earth. May the glory of the Lord
- 5:02continue forever. The Lord takes pleasure in all
- 5:06He has made. The earth trembles at his
- 5:10glance, The mountains smoke at his touch.
- 5:14I will sing to the Lord as long as I live.
- 5:18I will praise my God to my last breath.
- 5:22May all my thoughts be pleasing to him.
- 5:25For I rejoice in the Lord. Let all sinners vanish from the
- 5:29face of the earth. Let the wicked disappear for
- 5:33ever. Let all that I am praise the
- 5:37Lord. Praise the Lord.
- 5:50Thank you, Thomas. Thank you, Lord, for this
- 5:55beautiful sum and for being so worthy of our praise.
- 6:00We do just praise you. And this scientist reminds us
- 6:04how big you are and how everything in this world,
- 6:08everything in this universe, is here, praising your name.
- 6:14Lord, I thank you for this starry skies above and the
- 6:18oceans around us and the animals of the night and the trees of
- 6:22the forest. You have made them all.
- 6:25You hold them, you sustain them, and you hold ass and you sustain
- 6:32us. And for that we are so grateful
- 6:37for your daily provisions. We thank you and we praise you.
- 6:43You alone are worthy of our praise.
- 6:47Continue to mould our hearts to continuously have this posture
- 6:52of praise to You, our wonderful God, Father, Son, and Holy
- 6:58Spirit. And it is in the name of your
- 7:02Son Jesus, that we pray all of these things.
- 7:05Ah man.
