- 0:05Speaker 1: Isaac Collins joining us on the show. Isaac, great to
- 0:08Speaker 1: be with you. You're you're following up a great guy
- 0:10Speaker 1: and Miguel Rojas. That gave us a lot of information,
- 0:13Speaker 1: so we're hoping that that continues. How are you welcome
- 0:16Speaker 1: to the show.
- 0:17Speaker 2: I'm great, Thanks for having me on.
- 0:19Speaker 1: You're welcome.
- 0:20Speaker 3: You're welcome.
- 0:20Speaker 1: All right, So tell us a little bit about the
- 0:23Speaker 1: change going over from Milwaukee to Kansas City and what
- 0:26Speaker 1: you know, your expectations, and what you're looking most forward to.
- 0:31Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean it's obviously a new team. Uh, you know,
- 0:34Speaker 4: it feels good to kind of a clean slate and
- 0:37Speaker 4: just you know, start fresh. And you know, I can
- 0:39Speaker 4: just really be myself and I don't I don't need
- 0:41Speaker 4: to uh, you know, live up to any expectations or anything.
- 0:44Speaker 2: I just you know, I can just be me.
- 0:46Speaker 4: And I know, uh, I learned last year, you know,
- 0:49Speaker 4: my rookie season that you know, my game works, and
- 0:52Speaker 4: if I can just be the best version of myself
- 0:54Speaker 4: each day, you know I can I can help the
- 0:58Speaker 4: team win. And you know, all the people I've met
- 1:00Speaker 4: in Casey so far, they're you know, great people. I've
- 1:03Speaker 4: learned very quickly that the organization is you know, very
- 1:07Speaker 4: family friendly and uh, you know, relationship first, and that's
- 1:11Speaker 4: always that always makes the transition easy. You know, I
- 1:16Speaker 4: got drafted by Colorados. This is my third organization, but
- 1:19Speaker 4: first time, you know, going from one big league club
- 1:21Speaker 4: to another.
- 1:22Speaker 2: So it's been good.
- 1:24Speaker 4: You know, the guys are great, and you know, I'm
- 1:26Speaker 4: ready to get to work.
- 1:28Speaker 3: Yeah. The org is pro, they're pro. They take care
- 1:30Speaker 3: of your family, all that stuff. The Brewers they were
- 1:33Speaker 3: pro too, So I think you're you know, you're lucky
- 1:36Speaker 3: you're going from from one to another. But we just
- 1:39Speaker 3: had to Jake magnem one the other day. Two guys,
- 1:42Speaker 3: both of you made your big lead debuts older than
- 1:46Speaker 3: the mainstream media shows, the guys who you know, come
- 1:49Speaker 3: up at twenty one or twenty two years old. How like,
- 1:53Speaker 3: were you like, why am I getting traded? Like I
- 1:56Speaker 3: just got here? Uh?
- 1:59Speaker 4: I mean us to know, you know that that outfield
- 2:02Speaker 4: room in Milwaukee was crowded. You know, there's some there's
- 2:04Speaker 4: a ton of talent there. And uh, like you said,
- 2:08Speaker 4: you know with those older guys that that debut later,
- 2:12Speaker 4: you know, not necessarily a first round pick or you know,
- 2:15Speaker 4: not much invested in I kind of knew I was expendable,
- 2:19Speaker 4: I guess.
- 2:20Speaker 2: And that's just kind of the big the business side
- 2:22Speaker 2: of baseball.
- 2:23Speaker 4: And you know, I'm I'm blessed to go to an
- 2:27Speaker 4: organization that you know values me. And that's that's really
- 2:31Speaker 4: what it comes down to. And you know, I just
- 2:34Speaker 4: I just want an opportunity. You know, I've I've I've.
- 2:36Speaker 2: Worked so hard throughout the minor leagues.
- 2:38Speaker 4: You know, I've dealt with uh, you know, just doubt
- 2:42Speaker 4: and you know, wondering like is this really gonna work out?
- 2:44Speaker 4: Do I need to start, you know, think about something else,
- 2:46Speaker 4: but uh, you know, finally break through and see success
- 2:50Speaker 4: and then you know, started with this new organization and
- 2:54Speaker 4: and you know that I have an extremely good opportunity
- 2:57Speaker 4: in front of me. You know, that's that's all I
- 2:58Speaker 4: can really ask for as a baseball player. And so
- 3:03Speaker 4: it's it's it's extremely exciting.
- 3:06Speaker 3: How do you know they value? What did they say?
- 3:09Speaker 3: Like obviously it traded for you, but you know there's
- 3:11Speaker 3: been times where people get traded and it's like, well
- 3:14Speaker 3: it's because you have options or you have you know
- 3:17Speaker 3: this thing like you had a legit year last year.
- 3:20Speaker 3: What did the Royals tell you, to tell you that
- 3:22Speaker 3: you're valued.
- 3:25Speaker 4: Uh, they just they liked my game and they said
- 3:27Speaker 4: that they think he would play extremely well in Cofferince
- 3:30Speaker 4: Stadium and just my.
- 3:32Speaker 2: On base ability and.
- 3:36Speaker 4: You know, table setter type of guy, and they just
- 3:39Speaker 4: they made it clear that hey, you know, we need
- 3:42Speaker 4: some help and we think you're the guy that can
- 3:44Speaker 4: help us.
- 3:44Speaker 2: So that's that just feels great to hear because it seems.
- 3:49Speaker 4: Like my entire career, dating back to when I was drafted,
- 3:53Speaker 4: it was always like trying to prove what type of
- 3:56Speaker 4: player I am and prove to people that I can,
- 3:59Speaker 4: you know, be a big lead, and you know, to
- 4:01Speaker 4: get that validation of you know, you're you're here to
- 4:05Speaker 4: help us. Is it's almost like a weightlift off my
- 4:09Speaker 4: shoulders and now I can just go out there and
- 4:12Speaker 4: be myself and just be the best version of me
- 4:14Speaker 4: and and the helpless win each night.
- 4:17Speaker 3: Does it change your game that they're moving the fences
- 4:19Speaker 3: in because Kaufman, when I played there, it was like,
- 4:22Speaker 3: you know, you had Alex Gordon platinum glove, you had
- 4:25Speaker 3: you had Lorenzo Caine gold glove. Gerrod Dyson was sitting
- 4:29Speaker 3: on the bench gold glove like now they're moving it in.
- 4:32Speaker 3: Does that mean they're gonna say, hey, Isaac, we need
- 4:34Speaker 3: to put on thirty pounds and hit forty dangers.
- 4:39Speaker 5: They haven't.
- 4:39Speaker 2: They haven't said that to me yet.
- 4:41Speaker 4: But uh, well, I mean they're bringing the fences in
- 4:45Speaker 4: the gaps, so you know, I know the corners are
- 4:48Speaker 4: pretty big. I haven't played at Coffin yet, so I'm
- 4:51Speaker 4: not I'm not even quite sure how exactly it plays.
- 4:53Speaker 4: But I know there's a lot of grass out there,
- 4:56Speaker 4: and uh, you know, I love it on the outfield,
- 5:00Speaker 4: and so I mean, we'll see, we'll see how it plays.
- 5:02Speaker 4: I'm not I'm not quite sure how it's gonna affect us.
- 5:05Speaker 4: I don't know if you know those leaders are gonna
- 5:07Speaker 4: get caught more or you know that triples, alleys just
- 5:10Speaker 4: it's it's gonna be, you know, tough to get to third.
- 5:15Speaker 4: But uh, you know, we'll see. I don't plan on
- 5:18Speaker 4: changing my game. I'm just gonna be me and uh
- 5:22Speaker 4: if that ends up with a few more home runs,
- 5:24Speaker 4: and that'd be great.
- 5:26Speaker 3: Isaac.
- 5:27Speaker 6: You left Milwaukee, which has been a special place, and
- 5:30Speaker 6: do you guys want to you want a ton of games,
- 5:33Speaker 6: including last year the best record in baseball? What what
- 5:36Speaker 6: the fans loved you? It seemed like, because there's a
- 5:38Speaker 6: lot of nice messages when you got traded. What's it
- 5:40Speaker 6: like leaving a place like Milwaukee for another great baseball
- 5:43Speaker 6: town like Kansas City?
- 5:45Speaker 3: And what did Murph say to you?
- 5:46Speaker 4: Like?
- 5:46Speaker 6: What what's so special about Pat Murphy? Besides that he
- 5:49Speaker 6: has a nickname for everybody? And what was your nickname?
- 5:54Speaker 2: Uh?
- 5:55Speaker 4: Milwaukee always start first question. Milwaukee is a great city.
- 5:58Speaker 4: I mean, uh, it's kind of one of those like
- 6:01Speaker 4: Midwest cities. It's like a little forgotten, you know, a
- 6:03Speaker 4: little It's like an underdog city, which kind of just
- 6:06Speaker 4: perfectly describes a type of player I am and the
- 6:10Speaker 4: type of team that we had. So and and the
- 6:14Speaker 4: city really got behind us, you know, through through those
- 6:18Speaker 4: July August months when we got super hot, and by
- 6:21Speaker 4: the end of the year, it was just it was crazy,
- 6:24Speaker 4: you know, like getting recognized in public and stuff like
- 6:26Speaker 4: it was just like, is this is this real life?
- 6:28Speaker 4: Like what's what's going on? This is this is an
- 6:30Speaker 4: unbelievable run we're going on. And and yeah, I mean
- 6:34Speaker 4: murk he set the tone in the clubhouse. He set
- 6:37Speaker 4: the culture of what it was all about, and it
- 6:39Speaker 4: was ultimately just you know, we're taking this thing one
- 6:43Speaker 4: pitch at a time, and we're gonna be you know,
- 6:46Speaker 4: relentless every single pitch of every single night throughout the
- 6:49Speaker 4: entire season. And that's what's gonna take us over the edge.
- 6:52Speaker 4: That's what's gonna you know, get us to win the
- 6:54Speaker 4: division and beat these bigger market teams whenever you want
- 6:58Speaker 4: to call it. But again, like I feel that exact
- 7:01Speaker 4: same you know, vibe coming to KC as well, Like
- 7:05Speaker 4: it's another smaller market team that just has some grit
- 7:08Speaker 4: to it and some competitiveness, and you know, we've got
- 7:11Speaker 4: the pieces to make a run, and it's ultimately just
- 7:15Speaker 4: going to come down to executing you know, every single
- 7:17Speaker 4: pitch every single night. And again, like I'm ready to
- 7:22Speaker 4: get to work. Like I said, we got all the
- 7:23Speaker 4: pieces to do it. It's just you know, putting it
- 7:26Speaker 4: on paper.
- 7:28Speaker 3: A right Rookie of the Year voting, did you feel
- 7:31Speaker 3: like you should have ended at least before in front
- 7:34Speaker 3: of in front of Durban And does he hold that
- 7:37Speaker 3: over you as your teammate, because I mean you look
- 7:41Speaker 3: at some of the numbers, and some of the numbers
- 7:43Speaker 3: can be manipulated. You had a little bit of a
- 7:45Speaker 3: better year. So do you say that should have been me?
- 7:50Speaker 2: I don't know. Durban and I are actually really good friends.
- 7:53Speaker 4: We shared a fantasy football team this past offseason and
- 7:56Speaker 4: did really well, So I didn't give them any any
- 8:00Speaker 4: crap for you. I actually congratulated him when I saw
- 8:02Speaker 4: that he finished third, So I mean third fourth, like it,
- 8:07Speaker 4: what's the difference? Like neither of us want So it's
- 8:10Speaker 4: like I can't. I can't give him, you know, too
- 8:13Speaker 4: much crap for that. But uh, yeah, he did.
- 8:16Speaker 2: A great year.
- 8:17Speaker 4: And you know, to know that there's another rookie on
- 8:19Speaker 4: the team with me like fighting to you know, stay
- 8:22Speaker 4: up and just help the team win. And you know
- 8:24Speaker 4: he's he's a little scrapper and overlooks guy just like me,
- 8:28Speaker 4: and uh, you know, we we create a good relationship
- 8:32Speaker 4: and we're still still friends, still keeping in touch, and
- 8:35Speaker 4: you know, I'm gonna fall along and hopefully he has
- 8:37Speaker 4: another solid year.
- 8:39Speaker 3: Wait wait, wait, there's no difference. Isn't there a bonus
- 8:42Speaker 3: for the top the top three and Rookie of the
- 8:44Speaker 3: Year voting?
- 8:45Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean yeah, I guess there's there's a little
- 8:48Speaker 4: bit of a difference.
- 8:49Speaker 2: But uh, you know, well it doesn't matter.
- 8:53Speaker 3: No. Now, well, all that time, next time you guys
- 8:56Speaker 3: are on the same fantasy team or this year, he
- 9:00Speaker 3: should have paid for the whole fantasy team because.
- 9:02Speaker 2: He had exact votes.
- 9:04Speaker 3: And every dinner that you guys go out when Casey
- 9:07Speaker 3: plays Milwaukee once a year, he's got to pay.
- 9:11Speaker 4: Yeah, that's all I was gonna say. He'll be down
- 9:12Speaker 4: here in Arizona soon, so I'll make sure he picks
- 9:16Speaker 4: up the tab.
- 9:17Speaker 2: Perfect. Now, you just answered my question.
- 9:18Speaker 1: I was wondering where you work. The weather looks amazing.
- 9:21Speaker 1: You're in Arizona, all right. Who's the best athlete in
- 9:24Speaker 1: your family, Isaac? Because your dad played football at West Virginia,
- 9:27Speaker 1: your brother was drafted by the Royals. I don't know
- 9:30Speaker 1: if your mom was a professional athlete in any capacity,
- 9:33Speaker 1: But who's the best athlete in the Collins plan?
- 9:38Speaker 2: I'm gonna go with me. I have to my dad.
- 9:41Speaker 4: He was a really good football player, but he wasn't
- 9:43Speaker 4: the best at baseball. Roman my older brother, he was
- 9:47Speaker 4: an extremely good baseball player. But I have more rushing
- 9:51Speaker 4: yards than him our senior year. So I'm gonna have
- 9:55Speaker 4: to go with myself. On that one.
- 9:57Speaker 1: Now, you wanted to play football at West virgin and
- 10:00Speaker 1: you also kind of following in your dad's footsteps, how'd
- 10:03Speaker 1: you end up really sticking to the baseball up?
- 10:07Speaker 4: Once I saw my brother get drafted, I was a
- 10:09Speaker 4: junior in high school. He actually got drafted by the
- 10:12Speaker 4: Can't See Royals, which is full circle moment for us.
- 10:15Speaker 4: But he got drafted my junior year high school. He
- 10:19Speaker 4: was a fifth round pick. So when I saw him
- 10:21Speaker 4: do that, that was kind of you know, I can
- 10:24Speaker 4: do it too. If Broman can do it, I can
- 10:26Speaker 4: do it.
- 10:28Speaker 3: Who's one guy? Who's one guy in probably a layup
- 10:30Speaker 3: when I asked this that you want to see day
- 10:33Speaker 3: in and day out for one hundred and sixty two games?
- 10:36Speaker 3: And where's that bar set from? Who that guy was
- 10:40Speaker 3: with with the Brewers? So who you want to see
- 10:43Speaker 3: with the Royals play one hundred and sixty two games?
- 10:46Speaker 3: Probably have an idea who it is, But who was
- 10:50Speaker 3: that bar set right now? Where you're like, WHOA? I
- 10:52Speaker 3: watched that dude in Milwaukee every single day and I
- 10:55Speaker 3: was impressed, you.
- 10:59Speaker 4: Know, I mean Bobby with you know, I mean I'm
- 11:01Speaker 4: excited to play with him, Like he's uh, you know,
- 11:04Speaker 4: the best shortstop and base right now, you know, only
- 11:06Speaker 4: twenty five years old. Like it's it's gonna be so
- 11:10Speaker 4: cool to see him play every single day. And and
- 11:15Speaker 4: just like the the vibes of the of the clubhouse,
- 11:19Speaker 4: you know, with Bobby being kind of the leader and
- 11:21Speaker 4: coming from Milwaukee where it was Yelich who you know,
- 11:24Speaker 4: tail ended his career, you know, m v P, it's
- 11:29Speaker 4: a little different like you know with Milwaukee, Uh, Yelich,
- 11:31Speaker 4: he was he was kind of like a mentor, you
- 11:34Speaker 4: know to all of us, and because he just had
- 11:36Speaker 4: so much experience and he was like like like master
- 11:40Speaker 4: Splinter and we were the little teenage mutant ninja turtles,
- 11:43Speaker 4: just like keeping us in check and and letting us
- 11:47Speaker 4: know like what what to look for and when when
- 11:49Speaker 4: we can take a step back and when we could
- 11:51Speaker 4: be a little aggressive. And you know, with Bobby, you know,
- 11:53Speaker 4: he's young, like he's you know, he's been in the
- 11:55Speaker 4: Leaf for a few years now, and he's extremely talented,
- 11:57Speaker 4: but it's he's at a totally different stage of his
- 11:59Speaker 4: career years compared to Yelich. So it's I can just
- 12:03Speaker 4: tell from that, like the vibes of the clubhouse are
- 12:06Speaker 4: you know, a little more just young and a lot
- 12:09Speaker 4: of excitement, you know, not that we didn't have that
- 12:11Speaker 4: in Milwaukee, but it's it's different, you know, when your
- 12:14Speaker 4: best players twenty five is compared to you know, thirty
- 12:17Speaker 4: three or thirty four over old yell, chhiit is. So
- 12:21Speaker 4: it'll be fun though. I'm excited. You know, he's such
- 12:23Speaker 4: a good talent, and you know he sets the tone.
- 12:27Speaker 4: He plays hard all one hundred and sixty two games.
- 12:30Speaker 3: I love that, master Splinter. I feel like I feel like, yeah,
- 12:34Speaker 3: I'm gonna text Yelly that he was a master Splinter.
- 12:36Speaker 3: I like that. Postseason, Yeah, postseason. You guys won the
- 12:40Speaker 3: most games in baseball. You guys beat the Cubs in
- 12:44Speaker 3: an awesome anytime the Brewers get to play the Cubs,
- 12:47Speaker 3: it's an awesome rivalry. If you've never been a part
- 12:49Speaker 3: of it, it's awesome. So good for that. But then
- 12:52Speaker 3: the Dodgers came in and really just stomped you guys.
- 12:57Speaker 3: Is there a feeling that it was like, Wow, how
- 12:59Speaker 3: did this happen? Happened? We had Pat, we had murph
- 13:01Speaker 3: On and it was like, hey, you know this, this
- 13:04Speaker 3: little this, I forget what instance he said, but if
- 13:07Speaker 3: this goes a different way, you know it's a one
- 13:09Speaker 3: to one series or you know, the series changes. Did
- 13:13Speaker 3: you see that happening in the sense of like the
- 13:17Speaker 3: way that it happened, like it happened so quick or
- 13:19Speaker 3: did you look up and go, WHOA four games? That
- 13:22Speaker 3: was quick?
- 13:24Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, and uh it was. It was quick,
- 13:28Speaker 4: but it also wasn't at the same time. I mean
- 13:31Speaker 4: that game one, you know, we had a we had
- 13:32Speaker 4: a shot there to win in I think if we
- 13:34Speaker 4: we take that one, it totally changed the series. But
- 13:38Speaker 4: it was just like a gradual just like a you know,
- 13:40Speaker 4: snowball rolling down the hill. Like you know that game
- 13:44Speaker 4: one was close. You know, Game two we competed well,
- 13:47Speaker 4: and then you know three that kind of you know,
- 13:50Speaker 4: handled us a little bit, and in game four was
- 13:52Speaker 4: just the the Otani show.
- 13:54Speaker 2: So, yeah, it happened. I'm not gonna lie.
- 13:59Speaker 4: It happened quick, but I mean, murce try like you know,
- 14:03Speaker 4: baseball is one of those games like one pitch or
- 14:06Speaker 4: one ball just kind of bounces your way.
- 14:10Speaker 2: It totally changes.
- 14:12Speaker 4: The the momentum of the game. And they yeah, we
- 14:18Speaker 4: just we ran into you know, a buzz saw like
- 14:21Speaker 4: they just they they played really good baseball for four games,
- 14:25Speaker 4: and we just didn't play to our best ability.
- 14:30Speaker 1: Cheese curds or Kansas City Barbecue Bros Or barbecue? What
- 14:35Speaker 1: are you doing?
- 14:38Speaker 4: I'm gonna go barbecue over cheese curds. But Ross, that's
- 14:42Speaker 4: that's a tough one. I'm a big fan of Ross.
- 14:45Speaker 4: I might have to go the beer brock.
- 14:47Speaker 1: All right, are the tough questions that I ask you,
- 14:50Speaker 1: Isaac Collins. Best of luck man. We look forward to
- 14:53Speaker 1: watching you play for the Royals. Stay healthy, stay happy.
- 14:56Speaker 1: Thanks for taking a few minutes of your day to
- 14:58Speaker 1: come on Foul Territory Day. We appreciate you very much.
- 15:01Speaker 2: Yeah, no problem, Thanks for having me on.
- 15:13Speaker 7: Here comes JP Sears of the Padres joining us right
- 15:16Speaker 7: now in FTJP. Great to have you on the show.
- 15:18Speaker 7: We really appreciate the time. How's the off season for you?
- 15:22Speaker 5: Hey, what's up guys? Yeah? Thanks for having me. Yeah,
- 15:25Speaker 5: everything's been great.
- 15:26Speaker 8: Just been here down here in Charleston, South Carolina, working
- 15:29Speaker 8: out with some guys here that live here as well,
- 15:31Speaker 8: and you know, getting geared up to go out west
- 15:33Speaker 8: here soon.
- 15:35Speaker 7: Question for you, just because it's the hot topic, I mean,
- 15:38Speaker 7: you just came on when this happened. I'm sure you
- 15:40Speaker 7: heard us chatting about it. Did you follow this Trek
- 15:43Speaker 7: Scoogle arbitration case at all? I know, for you, I think, yeah,
- 15:46Speaker 7: you guys settled you and the padres before, so you
- 15:49Speaker 7: didn't have to deal with an arbitration case. But just
- 15:51Speaker 7: for all the players out there, Schooble, I'm sure was
- 15:53Speaker 7: getting texts and people were just following it almost like
- 15:55Speaker 7: it's a sporting event in the off season, because it
- 15:57Speaker 7: was such a discrepancy, so get to take a look
- 16:00Speaker 7: at what happened there.
- 16:02Speaker 8: Yeah, I actually found out the news from you guys
- 16:05Speaker 8: from like hopping on right here, obviously with it being
- 16:08Speaker 8: so recent, but yeah, going through the process a little
- 16:10Speaker 8: bit myself for the first time this year obviously piqued
- 16:13Speaker 8: my interest a little bit more and so definitely followed
- 16:16Speaker 8: it song and you know, you were, you know, everybody
- 16:18Speaker 8: was kind of excited to hear the news on one
- 16:20Speaker 8: side or the other. So yeah, I'm super happy for him, obviously,
- 16:24Speaker 8: very well deserved. He's been a treat to watch him.
- 16:26Speaker 8: Afar as a left handed pitcher.
- 16:29Speaker 3: How did that process go for you? Because people, yes,
- 16:32Speaker 3: we have baseball fans that listen, but it's hard. Like
- 16:35Speaker 3: Scoobles and his third arbitration case. He's a cy Young
- 16:38Speaker 3: Award winner. You're in your you said you're first correct correct?
- 16:42Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, first time?
- 16:44Speaker 3: And how and kind of explain a little bit. Did
- 16:47Speaker 3: you feel like, Okay, I moved over to the Padres.
- 16:50Speaker 3: Had I stayed with Sacramento and I stayed with the A's,
- 16:53Speaker 3: you know, would have been a little different. They know me.
- 16:55Speaker 3: Did you feel like they pressured you to sign, you know,
- 16:59Speaker 3: the contractor did you feel like everything was above board
- 17:02Speaker 3: and you were happy with it?
- 17:05Speaker 8: Yeah, I mean I was really happy with the whole process.
- 17:08Speaker 8: The Padres handled it really well. I feel like my
- 17:10Speaker 8: agent handled it really well. And you know, I was
- 17:13Speaker 8: just going through it trying to learn as much as
- 17:14Speaker 8: I could during the process of it.
- 17:16Speaker 5: Obviously, as a player, you you strived.
- 17:18Speaker 8: To get to the big leagues, and then as you
- 17:20Speaker 8: kind of slowly get more and more years, you know,
- 17:21Speaker 8: you get closer to it and started to learn a
- 17:24Speaker 8: little bit more about the process. And so for me,
- 17:26Speaker 8: it was really educating just getting to know it, you know,
- 17:28Speaker 8: getting to learn the.
- 17:29Speaker 5: Details of it all.
- 17:30Speaker 8: And obviously asked my agent a million questions about it,
- 17:34Speaker 8: but you know, just overall, yeah, I was.
- 17:35Speaker 5: I was happy with the process of.
- 17:37Speaker 8: It, and yeah, and happy how it turned out.
- 17:41Speaker 6: JP did they did when you signed that deal, when
- 17:43Speaker 6: they made the offer, was your agent and I don't
- 17:46Speaker 6: know who your agent is, so excuse me, but was
- 17:48Speaker 6: your agent say, hey, man, I really think this is
- 17:50Speaker 6: a good number for you, So like, let's do this
- 17:52Speaker 6: because you don't really want to go through arbitration, Like
- 17:55Speaker 6: you don't want to go through the process.
- 17:56Speaker 3: This is a good number. And listen, that's a nice numb.
- 18:01Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, I think that.
- 18:02Speaker 8: You know, it's obviously really humbly just getting paid that
- 18:04Speaker 8: to play baseball in general. And as a player, you
- 18:08Speaker 8: know you're competitive, and you know you obviously wan want
- 18:10Speaker 8: to be you know, you want you want to get
- 18:12Speaker 8: what you're worth, but also I want to make my
- 18:14Speaker 8: value more than that this year. And yeah, so like, yeah,
- 18:17Speaker 8: our conversations were just about me wanting to get what
- 18:21Speaker 8: I felt like I was happy and what I should
- 18:23Speaker 8: earn and and I feel like that that's what I got.
- 18:27Speaker 3: That trade when you got thrown when when they threw
- 18:31Speaker 3: Mason Miller into the JP Sears trade, did you feel
- 18:35Speaker 3: did you feel good for because I mean, Mason pitches
- 18:39Speaker 3: like he pitches an inning, like you're a starting pitcher,
- 18:42Speaker 3: like you are the marquee part of that trade. Did
- 18:45Speaker 3: you see it coming? I've asked this to so many guys.
- 18:48Speaker 3: You know, you're a controllable player. It's a young team
- 18:52Speaker 3: with in Sacramento, and it's like, well, why would they
- 18:55Speaker 3: why would they trade both of us? Like we're both good,
- 18:58Speaker 3: we're both part of this team that they're building.
- 19:02Speaker 8: Yeah, I mean, I mean, like, there's so many emotions
- 19:04Speaker 8: when you get traded. Obviously it was it was fun
- 19:06Speaker 8: to get traded with someone like that caliber. Obviously Mason's
- 19:09Speaker 8: one of my one of my great friends too, Like
- 19:11Speaker 8: we've become really close over the last couple of years,
- 19:13Speaker 8: So getting to move over there with him was something
- 19:16Speaker 8: that made me and I'm sure him feel a little
- 19:18Speaker 8: bit more comfortable, just because you know, get this is
- 19:21Speaker 8: I guess third time getting traded, but second time in
- 19:23Speaker 8: the big leagues. I feel like, so those days can
- 19:26Speaker 8: be kind of crazy. You know, it's a lot of
- 19:27Speaker 8: mixed emotions of you know, you're around a lot of
- 19:29Speaker 8: the same guys for two or three years, and you
- 19:31Speaker 8: become close to them, so it's tough to leave. But
- 19:34Speaker 8: also there's so much ahead in baseball, and you know,
- 19:37Speaker 8: as you guys know this, it's a long career and
- 19:38Speaker 8: you know it's your own career. So being on a
- 19:41Speaker 8: team like the Padres is going to be a blessing.
- 19:43Speaker 8: I'm you know, I'm super excited to compete with these
- 19:46Speaker 8: guys and to learn more about them. We just had
- 19:48Speaker 8: a camp last week. Joe had us out for a
- 19:51Speaker 8: little like a week long camp out in San Diego,
- 19:53Speaker 8: so that, you know, it really was big about like
- 19:54Speaker 8: getting getting to know everybody more, even like even though
- 19:57Speaker 8: I got some time there last year, just makes spring
- 19:59Speaker 8: train I feel quite as fresh.
- 20:04Speaker 6: JP when you were talking about this trade. But what
- 20:07Speaker 6: I want to know is you went from Sacramento basically
- 20:09Speaker 6: not basically it's a Triple A ballpark right to San Diego,
- 20:13Speaker 6: which is unbelievable ballpark, forty thousand, every game screaming, yelling,
- 20:19Speaker 6: they could be you guys could be playing the Mets
- 20:22Speaker 6: and they're yelling bat la right, Like it's just an
- 20:25Speaker 6: atmosphere every game, right. What was that like? Because you
- 20:28Speaker 6: literally you went from Oakland where they didn't draw anybody.
- 20:31Speaker 6: Then you went to Sacramento, which is a minor league ballpark,
- 20:33Speaker 6: to San Diego, which is one of the great ballparks
- 20:35Speaker 6: in the league.
- 20:36Speaker 5: Right, Yeah, it was the first time I went there
- 20:39Speaker 5: in twenty twenty three.
- 20:39Speaker 2: I was.
- 20:40Speaker 8: I was wowed by it from the beginning of you know,
- 20:42Speaker 8: the support that the fans have, and and just like
- 20:44Speaker 8: the obviously the city and the atmosphere of the stadium
- 20:46Speaker 8: and how just you know, how how much it comes
- 20:50Speaker 8: to life every night. So yeah, that was a big
- 20:52Speaker 8: exciting part about the trade was known that I will
- 20:54Speaker 8: get to play in front of those fans and got
- 20:56Speaker 8: to go out to Fan Fastest past week and meet
- 20:58Speaker 8: some of the people, and yeah, it's definitely gives you
- 21:01Speaker 8: a little bit more of a boost and energy having
- 21:03Speaker 8: a lot of fans in there yelling, and obviously they
- 21:05Speaker 8: do a great job in San Diego too of just
- 21:08Speaker 8: like pulling for the guys, like being really positive. It
- 21:10Speaker 8: seems like that they're really supportive fan base. So I'm
- 21:13Speaker 8: excited about that part of this year for sure.
- 21:15Speaker 3: One of the things you kind of glazed over, you said,
- 21:17Speaker 3: Joe ran a camp. You mean Joe Musgrove.
- 21:20Speaker 8: Musgrove, Yeah, like I mean he wasn't the one obviously,
- 21:23Speaker 8: like you know, running the whole thing, but Joe put
- 21:25Speaker 8: it on Joe. You know, it took us out a
- 21:27Speaker 8: lot of guys out to dinner some nights, He set
- 21:29Speaker 8: up some things and you know, just I think you
- 21:31Speaker 8: guys know in baseball is just so much going on
- 21:33Speaker 8: in the first couple of weeks of spring training. So
- 21:34Speaker 8: getting that comfortability of each other and starting to grow
- 21:37Speaker 8: that bond of you know, becoming good teammates is really
- 21:40Speaker 8: big and you know, developing a winning atmosphere.
- 21:43Speaker 3: Who who all was out there? And what the what
- 21:45Speaker 3: a kind of activities did you guys do? Like did
- 21:48Speaker 3: you guys like do balloon tosses? And did you guys
- 21:50Speaker 3: go to the park together?
- 21:51Speaker 8: And some some close some stuff close to that. There
- 21:55Speaker 8: were some videos on Instagram of us at the beach
- 21:57Speaker 8: one day. Yeah Joe, Uh yeah, he set up some
- 22:01Speaker 8: dinner some night. You know, we went we went on
- 22:03Speaker 8: a boat one night Wednesday. He does a lot of
- 22:06Speaker 8: working out. Uh, he goes to the beach. Obviously, living
- 22:08Speaker 8: in San Diego, you're able to go out to the
- 22:09Speaker 8: beach all the time. So we did a little bit
- 22:11Speaker 8: of like a dynamic cardio work out there and did
- 22:13Speaker 8: some competitive stuff out on the beach that was fun.
- 22:16Speaker 5: And yeah, and.
- 22:17Speaker 8: Then obviously we had and did some community community relations things.
- 22:20Speaker 8: Were able to go visit some animal shelters and go
- 22:23Speaker 8: visit some elderly homes and went to the Air Force
- 22:26Speaker 8: base and the Naval base.
- 22:28Speaker 5: And all that. So just a little bit of mix
- 22:30Speaker 5: of everything.
- 22:31Speaker 8: I feel like it just kind of brings out, you know,
- 22:33Speaker 8: the different size of all the players, and you're able
- 22:35Speaker 8: to become a closer teammates because of that.
- 22:38Speaker 6: JP did he make you guys all go to his
- 22:40Speaker 6: coffee shop, his parents' coffee shop.
- 22:42Speaker 5: No, I've heard about it though, And I know Joe's
- 22:44Speaker 5: big on coffee.
- 22:45Speaker 8: He's got he's got his he's got his little step
- 22:47Speaker 8: in the clubhouse and yeah, and so no, I didn't
- 22:50Speaker 8: go there, but I'll obviously be checking that out very
- 22:52Speaker 8: early in this season.
- 22:54Speaker 6: And and then the other thing is is like Joe's
- 22:56Speaker 6: was San Diego native. He couldn't get you guys to
- 22:58Speaker 6: go seal training, couldn't get you guys to run the
- 23:01Speaker 6: obstacle course out.
- 23:02Speaker 3: I don't know what.
- 23:03Speaker 8: I don't know if he could have convinced anybody to
- 23:05Speaker 8: do that if they had. I mean, I don't know
- 23:08Speaker 8: about y'all. I mean, I don't really want to do
- 23:10Speaker 8: any of that stuff. I got there and I watched
- 23:12Speaker 8: some of you've seen videos of some of those guys,
- 23:14Speaker 8: and it's unreal. But yeah, Joe's been a great leader
- 23:18Speaker 8: so far, and it's been great to get to know
- 23:19Speaker 8: him and obviously a lot of the other guys that
- 23:21Speaker 8: have been there for a little bit.
- 23:23Speaker 3: JP.
- 23:23Speaker 6: Come on, you know you wanted to make is a
- 23:25Speaker 6: sugar cookie, because they'll take you out there and they'll
- 23:26Speaker 6: let you run out there in the boats and then
- 23:28Speaker 6: run in and I'm a little sugar cookie in the sand,
- 23:31Speaker 6: and then they make your run out. Trust me, I've
- 23:32Speaker 6: seen it, and I've been offered it, and I've said no.
- 23:35Speaker 6: I've been out there a few times, but I've never
- 23:37Speaker 6: actually done it. And no, I'm not climbing the obstacle
- 23:39Speaker 6: course because there's a good chance on the ball and
- 23:41Speaker 6: hurt something.
- 23:42Speaker 5: So no, Yeah, I mean I'm a little bit crazy
- 23:45Speaker 5: to her.
- 23:45Speaker 8: I would probably have a hard time saying no, just
- 23:47Speaker 8: because it's a unique opportunity and I'd want to try
- 23:50Speaker 8: and see what everybody around me's got and see if
- 23:52Speaker 8: I can last longer than some guys in around me.
- 23:54Speaker 8: But at the end of the day, I think that
- 23:57Speaker 8: there's nothing compared to what those guys do.
- 23:59Speaker 5: We all know that, and we actually get to got
- 24:01Speaker 5: to hear some of them speak. They came and spoke
- 24:02Speaker 5: to us too. That was another thing that they set up.
- 24:04Speaker 8: And so just hearing the different perspective of those guys
- 24:07Speaker 8: and how you know, how our jobs relate in so
- 24:10Speaker 8: many different ways.
- 24:12Speaker 3: You get out there and be competitive against your other
- 24:14Speaker 3: starting pitchers, you at least wouldn't you wouldn't you wouldn't
- 24:18Speaker 3: find you wouldn't come in last behind Randy Basquets. You
- 24:20Speaker 3: have to beat. That would be the biggest thing the Randy.
- 24:24Speaker 8: Randy and I knew each other with the Yankees and
- 24:26Speaker 8: we've been good friends.
- 24:27Speaker 5: Randy is the best. Yeah, I think that would definitely
- 24:29Speaker 5: be one.
- 24:29Speaker 8: I can't let Randy beat me, but uh yeah, or
- 24:32Speaker 8: Nick or any of those guys. Michael, Michael King and
- 24:35Speaker 8: I are good friends too, so it would be a
- 24:36Speaker 8: very competitive group for sure.
- 24:39Speaker 3: Oh I forgot that Kinger and you played with the Yankees. Yeah, yeah,
- 24:43Speaker 3: that's my bad. That's my bad.
- 24:45Speaker 8: I forgot that my last My last video of KRATS
- 24:49Speaker 8: was you when you catch called Davy in the playoff game.
- 24:51Speaker 3: Yeah, that was another another one of your guys. Yeah,
- 24:55Speaker 3: you guys were all you guys are all the studs
- 24:57Speaker 3: coming up through the Yankees.
- 24:59Speaker 5: Yeah. So yeah, King, here's a man.
- 25:02Speaker 3: Let's talk about Sacramento. Talk about Sacramento. Obviously, things came
- 25:06Speaker 3: out that Luis Severino said you can look at his numbers.
- 25:11Speaker 3: How much did that come into maybe more of your
- 25:14Speaker 3: psyche than actually physically the field affecting pictures? And how
- 25:19Speaker 3: bad was it early and were they able to get
- 25:22Speaker 3: it a little bit better? Obviously you left before the
- 25:25Speaker 3: end of this season because this is really like, this
- 25:27Speaker 3: isn't like to me. I love Louis Severino as a teammate,
- 25:32Speaker 3: as a man, and he's a competitor, and for him
- 25:34Speaker 3: to come out and say it, some people got on
- 25:36Speaker 3: him because, oh, you're soft, You're not doing good, You're like,
- 25:39Speaker 3: this is real, and I think the show shows that,
- 25:42Speaker 3: like players can have real opinions of playing in a
- 25:45Speaker 3: triple A ballpark. So what was your what was your
- 25:47Speaker 3: interaction with that?
- 25:49Speaker 8: Yeah, I mean obviously Sevi was, you know, the leader
- 25:51Speaker 8: of our staff there last year, and you know, seeing
- 25:54Speaker 8: those struggles is hard to watch, you know, just seeing
- 25:56Speaker 8: the difference in the games at home and away, and
- 25:59Speaker 8: it's kind of hard to have really to too much
- 26:02Speaker 8: of any excuse in my look in my eyes, and
- 26:04Speaker 8: not not a knock on sev because it really is
- 26:06Speaker 8: a big difference from maybe where he had pitched the
- 26:08Speaker 8: last couple of years and last six seven years in
- 26:10Speaker 8: the big League, So like, I can definitely see a
- 26:13Speaker 8: big difference in some of those aspects.
- 26:15Speaker 5: But you know, for me, it's just I get out there.
- 26:18Speaker 3: Man.
- 26:19Speaker 8: It's just hard to really ever get past the fact that,
- 26:22Speaker 8: like what my job is, it doesn't really matter where
- 26:24Speaker 8: I'm at. It doesn't really matter the team you're facing,
- 26:26Speaker 8: or the conditions or really the fan base or the
- 26:29Speaker 8: stadium or any of the outside things. Is like, you know,
- 26:32Speaker 8: if I got beat that day, it was my fault,
- 26:35Speaker 8: you know. And if I and if I and if
- 26:37Speaker 8: I won that day, it was because I did my job.
- 26:39Speaker 8: So it's just hard to really, uh, in my eyes,
- 26:43Speaker 8: making an excuse because I couldn't really look it like
- 26:45Speaker 8: that when I was in the moment, because it's then
- 26:47Speaker 8: you before you know it, it's it's well past gone
- 26:49Speaker 8: and it's way worse than it could have been. So
- 26:51Speaker 8: I think a big part of that is just a mentality.
- 26:53Speaker 8: And but yeah, it was definitely adjustment for Sev and
- 26:56Speaker 8: I think that you see with the A's and like
- 26:57Speaker 8: how they how they handle the last two months six
- 27:00Speaker 8: weeks of the season. The pitching staff was did a
- 27:02Speaker 8: really good job. So you can see you'll be able
- 27:05Speaker 8: to see a probably a big difference in last year
- 27:07Speaker 8: and this year.
- 27:08Speaker 5: I'd imagine j P.
- 27:11Speaker 6: You mentioned King and a bunch of guys that you've
- 27:14Speaker 6: played with before, but miguel Aanduhar just signed over there too.
- 27:17Speaker 6: Is it like everyone has to follow you wherever you go?
- 27:20Speaker 6: These guys have to go and follow you.
- 27:23Speaker 5: I don't I think I don't have phone me or
- 27:25Speaker 5: more so King, I don't.
- 27:26Speaker 8: Know, but yeah, but yeah, he Meggi is the man.
- 27:32Speaker 8: He was the nicest guy to me when I first
- 27:34Speaker 8: made the big leads with the Yankees and and then
- 27:37Speaker 8: it was great to see him come and play with
- 27:38Speaker 8: him the last two years with the A's and Meggie
- 27:41Speaker 8: is just a great guy.
- 27:42Speaker 5: It's a great personality.
- 27:43Speaker 8: He works hard and you know, he's a great teammate,
- 27:46Speaker 8: so being able to have him around again, and he'll
- 27:49Speaker 8: fit in so well with the group of guys that
- 27:51Speaker 8: they have, the you know that the position players have
- 27:53Speaker 8: there and just a group in general. And so yeah,
- 27:57Speaker 8: anytime you can get good people, I think that's a
- 27:58Speaker 8: big part of you guys, know how small is is,
- 28:00Speaker 8: Like getting a great player is awesome, but also getting
- 28:03Speaker 8: great people as well as a big part of being good.
- 28:07Speaker 3: All Right, So you've had Boom, you've had Cats, you've
- 28:11Speaker 3: had Shilt, and now you get a freaking relief pitcher
- 28:15Speaker 3: as your manager. Unbelievable. How different do you think it's
- 28:18Speaker 3: going to be?
- 28:20Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean I'm excited about it.
- 28:23Speaker 8: You know, Craig's been you know, I got to meet
- 28:25Speaker 8: him last year towards the end of the season when
- 28:26Speaker 8: we were in Chicago for the for the wild Card,
- 28:29Speaker 8: and every single person that's spoken about him or had
- 28:32Speaker 8: any type of relations with him says that he's just,
- 28:35Speaker 8: you know, he's a head, head down, knows you know,
- 28:37Speaker 8: grinder guy, and you know, and someone that you just
- 28:40Speaker 8: don't want to let down and that you know, just
- 28:41Speaker 8: handles everything he does so gracefully. So it's been great
- 28:45Speaker 8: to get to know him a little bit, and obviously
- 28:46Speaker 8: I'll get to know him a lot more the next
- 28:48Speaker 8: couple of weeks. But uh yeah, and then obviously having
- 28:50Speaker 8: the relation of just being a pitcher. And that's one
- 28:53Speaker 8: of the first things he said to us this past
- 28:54Speaker 8: week when we saw him, was, you know, I think
- 28:57Speaker 8: that it'll be fun to get to you know, have
- 28:59Speaker 8: a little bit more to relate to and just be
- 29:02Speaker 8: able to know kind of what some guys are going through.
- 29:05Speaker 3: All right, Last one for me, what are your personal goals?
- 29:09Speaker 3: Because obviously you guys talk, You went to the you know,
- 29:11Speaker 3: you had coffee with Joe and you guys had some
- 29:14Speaker 3: nice you know, patty cake everything, team, team bonding. What
- 29:19Speaker 3: are your goals? Because it's a it's a team game
- 29:22Speaker 3: played by individuals. So what do you want to see
- 29:24Speaker 3: out of yourself for this year?
- 29:27Speaker 8: Yeah, it's hard to always you know, goals are such
- 29:30Speaker 8: a finicky thing because you know, you want to have
- 29:32Speaker 8: such high goals and so like, yeah, every year, I
- 29:35Speaker 8: try and really focus on the things that I can control, right,
- 29:39Speaker 8: you know. Number one is just outside of competing, is
- 29:43Speaker 8: just having a great attitude and being a good teammate
- 29:45Speaker 8: and making myself available for the team every day, just
- 29:47Speaker 8: being healthy, doing my job, and so that's like a
- 29:51Speaker 8: big part of just the outside things that I feel
- 29:53Speaker 8: like I can't control. It's just my attitude every day
- 29:55Speaker 8: and that. And then you know, being a starter in
- 29:59Speaker 8: the big leagues, you want to be to throw a
- 30:00Speaker 8: lot of innings. So I think, you know, throwing at
- 30:02Speaker 8: least one hundred and eighty one hundred and ninety innings
- 30:04Speaker 8: this year would be awesome.
- 30:05Speaker 5: And you know.
- 30:07Speaker 8: In pitching to a and pitching to a good era,
- 30:09Speaker 8: I think that it's just going out there and I
- 30:11Speaker 8: think that if you at end of the day, you
- 30:12Speaker 8: know you have a quality start every time, and your
- 30:14Speaker 8: team wins and you do your job, so you know,
- 30:17Speaker 8: just racking up the wins as well. And I think
- 30:19Speaker 8: just in general, I really try and focus on week
- 30:21Speaker 8: to week and month to month and just have those
- 30:23Speaker 8: smaller goals and like such a lofty full goal of
- 30:26Speaker 8: the whole season, just because you know, I'm out there
- 30:28Speaker 8: every five days and hopefully you know most of them
- 30:32Speaker 8: are better than not. But like there's gonna be bumps
- 30:34Speaker 8: in the road, and you can't really worry too much
- 30:36Speaker 8: about what's happened at the end.
- 30:37Speaker 5: And you know, just focused on day to day.
- 30:40Speaker 8: But uh yeah, just you know there's in you know,
- 30:43Speaker 8: just having good quality innings being available, you know, pitching
- 30:45Speaker 8: every five days or are big goals of mine?
- 30:49Speaker 6: All right, JP, you weren't there very long, but you Darvish,
- 30:52Speaker 6: is he retiring? Was he at Joe musk Grove's fantasy camp?
- 30:56Speaker 5: You guys have because he's saying, oh yeah, he was there, tiring?
- 31:00Speaker 6: Is he retiring because some people say he's retiring. Some
- 31:02Speaker 6: people say he's not retiring. He doesn't know what he's doing. Like,
- 31:05Speaker 6: what is happening with.
- 31:05Speaker 2: You, Darvish?
- 31:08Speaker 5: And that's a tough question answer. I really don't know.
- 31:10Speaker 8: I know that he's he's working hard to get healthy
- 31:12Speaker 8: right now, and I did see him and got to
- 31:14Speaker 8: speak to him.
- 31:14Speaker 5: But yeah, obviously that's a good question to ask you.
- 31:19Speaker 3: All right, last thing, what's the most what's the thing
- 31:22Speaker 3: that you miss the most about the off season? Something
- 31:25Speaker 3: that you're like, man, I love doing that in the
- 31:27Speaker 3: off season. Now seasons right around the corner here, you
- 31:31Speaker 3: got to give that up.
- 31:34Speaker 5: I would say, I.
- 31:37Speaker 8: Got I get to go hunting a good bit with
- 31:38Speaker 8: my dad and brother. That's something that you know, obviously
- 31:41Speaker 8: takes a lot of time and there's a lot of
- 31:43Speaker 8: fun and you can really only do in you know,
- 31:45Speaker 8: colder months, and obviously you don't get to do it
- 31:47Speaker 8: at all during the baseball season. But you know, my
- 31:50Speaker 8: hobbies are you know, hunting and playing golf, So obviously
- 31:52Speaker 8: you're able to get golf in some during the season
- 31:54Speaker 8: and spring training, but just family time of being able
- 31:57Speaker 8: to you know, hang out with my parents and my
- 31:59Speaker 8: brother and some of my friends run here, and a
- 32:00Speaker 8: lot of times we'll you know, go hunting together, and
- 32:02Speaker 8: so those are one of the big things we do
- 32:04Speaker 8: in the all season.
- 32:07Speaker 5: Well, you can hunt during the season, Shipper. Shipper used
- 32:14Speaker 5: to do it.
- 32:14Speaker 8: I heard the old story of Chipper, like hunting before
- 32:16Speaker 8: the World Series or something like that. And I don't
- 32:18Speaker 8: know if I'm quite there yet, you know, I think
- 32:20Speaker 8: I'm going to be. You know, I'll kind of focus
- 32:22Speaker 8: on one thing at a time, but yeah, maybe.
- 32:25Speaker 6: When I was with the White Sox, we used to
- 32:26Speaker 6: go hunting with Tomy and Burley and Jermaine and Die.
- 32:29Speaker 5: We used to we used to go.
- 32:30Speaker 6: So it is possible to do it.
- 32:32Speaker 3: You just have to pick the right.
- 32:33Speaker 8: Time right right, and it's I don't know if it's
- 32:35Speaker 8: a long hunting in San Diego, but we'll see.
- 32:39Speaker 6: Call clus called Ryan Cluster used to.
- 32:41Speaker 8: Do it, Okay, I will, yes, fishing. Fishing is great,
- 32:45Speaker 8: It's definitely gonna that's definitely.
- 32:46Speaker 5: Gonna be something I'll check out.
- 32:48Speaker 8: Not don't fish as much, but like living here in
- 32:50Speaker 8: Charleston obviously and having the the beach right here do
- 32:54Speaker 8: inlet fish on, so definitely be fun to do that
- 32:56Speaker 8: out west some too.
- 32:58Speaker 7: All Right, well, we'll catch you out there and really
- 33:00Speaker 7: appreciate the time enjoyed the beginning of spring training.
- 33:02Speaker 5: Thanks for joining us. Yeah, I appreciate you guys having me.
- 33:05Speaker 8: We'll see, We'll see you out in Arizona.
- 33:09Speaker 2: H
