- 0:02Speaker 1: This is a bramble Jam podcast. Welcome to Girls Gone Hallmark,
- 0:23Speaker 1: a Hallmark review podcast. I'm Megan and I'm a longtime
- 0:26Speaker 1: Hallmark fan. I'm Wendy. I'm a former Hallmark hater. Today
- 0:29Speaker 1: we are discussing a sweet Holiday romance which originally aired
- 0:32Speaker 1: on the Hallmark Channel on Saturday, December thirteenth, and is
- 0:35Speaker 1: currently available to stream on Hallmark Plus. If you're not
- 0:40Speaker 1: currently following us on Instagram, you're going to want to
- 0:42Speaker 1: be where Girls Gone Hallmark and that is going to
- 0:44Speaker 1: be the home of the forthcoming fourth annual count Down
- 0:50Speaker 1: to Christmas? Is it four years we've done Racket four?
- 0:55Speaker 1: I think so, because I think I think of the
- 0:58Speaker 1: Russell Hayne line of it all. We had in Mary Measure,
- 1:01Speaker 1: then the Santa Summit, and then we had Russell Hayline
- 1:04Speaker 1: Palooza last year.
- 1:05Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:06Speaker 1: Hey, yeah, yeah, the fourth annual canton a Christmas Bracket.
- 1:08Speaker 1: We'll be dropping January second on our Instagram. Hang out
- 1:13Speaker 1: with us over there. Hey, we love your emails and
- 1:17Speaker 1: your voicemail, so you can drop us an email anytime,
- 1:21Speaker 1: or a voicemail, because, to be quite frank, nobody's gonna
- 1:23Speaker 1: answer over there. That's right, it doesn't ring anywhere for us.
- 1:26Speaker 1: You can call us at nine four nine three two
- 1:28Speaker 1: nine eight zero nine zero, leave us your thoughts on
- 1:31Speaker 1: countdown to Christmas as a whole, this movie, what's to
- 1:35Speaker 1: come in January? Or you can shoot us an email.
- 1:38Speaker 1: We are at Girls Gone Hallmark at gmail dot com.
- 1:40Speaker 1: The emails were coming in fast and furious yesterday afternoon.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Yeah they were. I mean, we love it enough for
- 1:45Speaker 1: another mailbag episode perhaps, yeah, possibly laughing because the time
- 1:51Speaker 1: is running out for us, yes, so money? Who needs
- 1:56Speaker 1: to sleep? I mean, who needs a Christmas gift? Not
- 1:59Speaker 1: any time? Yeh, He's getting wrapped up. Hey, let's hear
- 2:02Speaker 1: A synopsis for a sweet holiday romance Sabrina Lands a
- 2:05Speaker 1: dream gig ghostwriting the memoir of a famous art dealer,
- 2:08Speaker 1: complete with a lux stay at the iconic Grand Fairbanks Hotel.
- 2:13Speaker 1: A chance meeting with a charming British visitor named Ian Sparks.
- 2:16Speaker 1: A holiday romance complicated by mistaken assumptions about Wealth's royalty
- 2:21Speaker 1: and who he really is. Jeff Beasley directed a sweet
- 2:26Speaker 1: Holiday romance, marking his forty first directing credit. Earlier this season,
- 2:30Speaker 1: he also helmed The Snow Must Go On and previously
- 2:32Speaker 1: directed Dominic Sherwood in twenty twenty four's Haunted Wedding. Andrea
- 2:37Speaker 1: Canning wrote the teleplay. Andrea has twenty eight writing credits
- 2:41Speaker 1: and previously pinned Catch of the Day earlier this year,
- 2:44Speaker 1: also Two of the Love on the Danube Movies and
- 2:47Speaker 1: A Merry Scottish Christmas. This movie was based on the
- 2:51Speaker 1: book A Magical New York Christmas by Anita Hughes. Jesse
- 2:54Speaker 1: Shram stars as Sabrina. Jesse has sixty seven acting credits
- 2:58Speaker 1: and is currently co starring in the series Cogo Med.
- 3:00Speaker 1: She was last on Hallmark in Mystic Christmas from twenty
- 3:03Speaker 1: twenty three. Dominic Sherwood co stars as Ian with seventeen
- 3:07Speaker 1: acting credits. Dominic is probably best known for his role
- 3:10Speaker 1: as Jace on the series Shadow Hunters. This marks his
- 3:14Speaker 1: second Hallmark project, previously starring in Haunted Wedding. Al Sapienza
- 3:18Speaker 1: plays Grayson Westcott. Al has an impressive three hundred acting
- 3:22Speaker 1: credits and is probably best known for his roles on
- 3:25Speaker 1: The Sopranos, House of Cards and Suits. Adam Hurtig plays Spencer.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Adam has appeared in a toen of Hallmark movies, including
- 3:33Speaker 1: the Santa Summit, automat Apple Hill and following Yonder Star
- 3:38Speaker 1: Gino Anania appears as Young Grayson, and Hallmark fans may
- 3:41Speaker 1: recognize him as Brad from last year's A Carol for Two.
- 3:44Speaker 1: With twenty six acting credits, his Hallmark resume also includes
- 3:48Speaker 1: Made for each Other and an episode of The Spencer Sisters,
- 3:51Speaker 1: now streaming on Hallmark Plus that sounds like a sponsored ad,
- 3:54Speaker 1: It's not well, We'll take it call Us. Lauren Cochran
- 3:58Speaker 1: plays Hazel. Lauren has to acting credits, with standout roles
- 4:01Speaker 1: in Hanakah on the Rocks, Christmas On Call, Hunted Wedding,
- 4:04Speaker 1: and Miracle in Bethlehem. Pa Bailey Chin plays Sabrina's bestie Anna.
- 4:10Speaker 1: While she doesn't yet have an IMDb page, she's a
- 4:12Speaker 1: recent theater major graduate from the University of Manitoba, bringing
- 4:16Speaker 1: a fresh, stage trained energy to the role. Megan best
- 4:21Speaker 1: plays Charlotte. Megan has twenty one acting credits, and this
- 4:23Speaker 1: appears to be her first project for Hallmark. Rena Jolly
- 4:26Speaker 1: plays Tabitha with fourteen acting credits. Rina has previously appeared
- 4:30Speaker 1: on Hallmark in Christmas On Call, Five Gold Rings, and
- 4:33Speaker 1: Made for each Other. Marina Stevenson appears as Lady Broxton.
- 4:38Speaker 1: Previous roles include Hanukah on The Rocks, Hunted Wedding, and
- 4:42Speaker 1: Holiday Hotline. Others include Donna Fletcher as Lady Violet, Lisa
- 4:46Speaker 1: Digiacinto as Emily, Alex poc Golden as Leo, Chase Winnicky
- 4:51Speaker 1: as Barry, and Susan Lowen as Bunny. Let's take a
- 4:55Speaker 1: quick break and we'll come right back with our first
- 4:57Speaker 1: impressions of a sweet holiday romance. Hey, Wendy, what is
- 5:09Speaker 1: your first impression of a sweet holiday romance? I'd like
- 5:13Speaker 1: to formally submit Jesse Shram for immediate induction into our
- 5:17Speaker 1: Lady Gang. Yes, if you're unfamiliar, our Lady Gang includes
- 5:22Speaker 1: Ashley Williams, Lucy Guest, Wilis Peterman, and now Jesse Shram.
- 5:26Speaker 1: That's right. My first impression is if a movie does
- 5:28Speaker 1: justice to Christmas in New York. I'm all in, and
- 5:31Speaker 1: I am all in on a sweet holiday romance. Let
- 5:34Speaker 1: me ask you, yeah, because I know when you tried
- 5:37Speaker 1: to watch this movie, you said you got pulled in
- 5:39Speaker 1: one hundred different ways. You couldn't watch it, you were
- 5:41Speaker 1: watching it in bits and pieces. Did you get to
- 5:43Speaker 1: go back and we did watch the whole thing. I
- 5:45Speaker 1: did good, good because this was one of my favorites
- 5:50Speaker 1: of the year. Same and I'm ready to fight anybody
- 5:55Speaker 1: because I have seen on Reddit, I have seen some
- 5:58Speaker 1: IMDb reviews and in our Facebook group people who did
- 6:01Speaker 1: not like this movie. Bring it. I'm like, excuse me,
- 6:06Speaker 1: excuse me. Here's what I liked. It was fun and
- 6:11Speaker 1: it was different in a way that worked for me.
- 6:13Speaker 1: I loved the parallel storytelling. It's beautifully done. Oh the
- 6:20Speaker 1: way that they made it look vintage y in the
- 6:25Speaker 1: best way possible without an actual scene transition. They're in
- 6:30Speaker 1: the same room. Yes, I loved it. Grayson's passed unfolding
- 6:36Speaker 1: alongside Sabrina's present day love story with Ian and I'm
- 6:40Speaker 1: quoting love story. I'm going to talk about it. I
- 6:43Speaker 1: didn't think it was super easy to pull off. I
- 6:45Speaker 1: thought that it didn't feel gimmicky. It felt very real.
- 6:49Speaker 1: Those scenes where we've talked forever about show us, don't
- 6:55Speaker 1: tell us, and we see the the scenes from thirty
- 7:01Speaker 1: years ago or whatever it did more than that. How
- 7:04Speaker 1: many years was it the sixties, I don't know. It
- 7:07Speaker 1: was all a long time ago, but we see those
- 7:10Speaker 1: scenes unfold, and then we see Sabrina watching those scenes
- 7:14Speaker 1: like she's learning about it too. But it's it just
- 7:18Speaker 1: was done so well. It was done incredibly well. I
- 7:22Speaker 1: have such a long list of likes about that parallel storyline. Look,
- 7:25Speaker 1: we have Grayson Young Grayson Wescott as a butler to
- 7:27Speaker 1: Hazel Holly, and I loved, first of all, love Lauren
- 7:30Speaker 1: Cochrane playing the role of Hazel. Love her, love her,
- 7:33Speaker 1: I need her in more movies. She slipped into that
- 7:36Speaker 1: role effortlessly. She embodied that character. I agree. The relationship
- 7:41Speaker 1: that Hazel and Grayson have is one of respect and
- 7:44Speaker 1: mutual admiration. I love her asking for his opinion on
- 7:48Speaker 1: her storylines. Like you said, Grayson falling in love with
- 7:52Speaker 1: Charlotte and the fact that he still clearly carries this
- 7:55Speaker 1: love with him in spite of them no longer being
- 7:58Speaker 1: in contact. The hotel, as you said, has a real
- 8:02Speaker 1: timeless quality to it, So panning between the time periods
- 8:05Speaker 1: was done in such a lovely way. Perhaps what I
- 8:07Speaker 1: love the most about this, though, is that Gino and
- 8:10Speaker 1: Nania gets his redemption story. Agree. So you texted me
- 8:14Speaker 1: and you said, do you know who plays the character
- 8:16Speaker 1: of young Greens in Wescott and I did not, and
- 8:19Speaker 1: you told me we were not particularly kind to the
- 8:22Speaker 1: character of Brad in last year's of Carol for two.
- 8:24Speaker 1: I didn't love Brad. I thought he came a little
- 8:26Speaker 1: bit too hard. I was absolutely charmed by him this
- 8:29Speaker 1: time around. Beyond star of this movie. I agree, not
- 8:34Speaker 1: to take away from Jesse's Stram. I really enjoyed Jesse
- 8:36Speaker 1: and Dominic as well. He's fantastic in this role. I agree.
- 8:40Speaker 1: And I feel like we know that Jeff likes to
- 8:44Speaker 1: curate a group. I'm talking about Beasley the director. I
- 8:47Speaker 1: say like, he's our friend, likes to curate a group
- 8:49Speaker 1: of people that he returns to time and time again.
- 8:52Speaker 1: And he clearly saw something in Gino that perhaps we
- 8:54Speaker 1: didn't get to see. And so I hope, I hope
- 8:58Speaker 1: everyone involved feels a little vindicated that the audience got
- 9:02Speaker 1: to see this side of this actor. Yes, because if
- 9:05Speaker 1: you recall, we did an interview with Jeff Beasley last year,
- 9:08Speaker 1: and I remember him specifically talking about this actor Gino.
- 9:11Speaker 1: He's like, Oh, he's great. You guys are gonna love
- 9:13Speaker 1: him as Brad. And then we watched a movie and
- 9:14Speaker 1: I was like I didn't really love Brad like Brad
- 9:17Speaker 1: was abrasive, abrasive, a little annoying. M I loved him
- 9:24Speaker 1: in this role me too, loved, loved so much that
- 9:28Speaker 1: I could have watched a whole movie about these two.
- 9:31Speaker 1: I was gonna say the same thing, either a movie
- 9:33Speaker 1: about young Grayson and Charlotte or Hazel and Yes Young Grayson. Yes,
- 9:39Speaker 1: I was like, where's that movie I want? I mean,
- 9:40Speaker 1: I love this movie, but I wanted that movie too. Yes,
- 9:44Speaker 1: in the present day, I really enjoyed Sabrina and Grayson's relationship.
- 9:48Speaker 1: He treated her as an equal. He was invested in
- 9:52Speaker 1: her life just as much as she was invested in him.
- 9:55Speaker 1: The character of Grayson was incredibly well flashed out. Yeah,
- 9:58Speaker 1: the stand in for the Grand Hotel Fair Ranks, which
- 10:01Speaker 1: is obviously supposed to be the Plaza Hotel, is very
- 10:05Speaker 1: well done, including the steps outside. There are several scenes
- 10:09Speaker 1: shot on those steps. The Plaza has those iconic steps,
- 10:12Speaker 1: and when you walk by, there are guards out there
- 10:14Speaker 1: because they don't just let the riff raff into the lobby.
- 10:17Speaker 1: Oh really. Yeah, perhaps during downtimes you can go in,
- 10:20Speaker 1: but there's often a group of people out there trying
- 10:22Speaker 1: to charm their way in, and they may have hours
- 10:25Speaker 1: that they let you in or you have a reservation,
- 10:27Speaker 1: but they don't just let anybody come in and walk
- 10:29Speaker 1: through the lobby. Oh that's interesting. In fact, when we
- 10:31Speaker 1: were there last month, we were walking by and there
- 10:33Speaker 1: was a woman arguing with the guard because her daughter
- 10:36Speaker 1: was turning eighteen, and he was like, you know, if
- 10:39Speaker 1: I let you in, I have to let everybody in.
- 10:40Speaker 1: He's like, there's a whole crowd of people that want
- 10:42Speaker 1: to come in. Anyhow, It's the whole thing. But the
- 10:44Speaker 1: steps it landed for me, as well as some of
- 10:47Speaker 1: the other iconic New York scenes. It feels like Christmas
- 10:50Speaker 1: in New York throughout this movie. Jeff Beasily does New
- 10:54Speaker 1: York so well always always did you love Dominic share? Would?
- 11:01Speaker 1: I loved so? I love that we get his accent
- 11:05Speaker 1: in this movie, right. I found him super charming, easily likable.
- 11:10Speaker 1: I really enjoyed his dynamic with Lord Braxton as his handler,
- 11:15Speaker 1: basically because Lord Braxton is off the rails, he's like
- 11:21Speaker 1: mister Jiggielow. I don't know, I mean, that's kind of
- 11:23Speaker 1: a random old timey word, but you know, he's kind
- 11:27Speaker 1: of what's the what is it the word I'm looking for?
- 11:32Speaker 1: Like you a wild card? Like you said? Yeah, it
- 11:34Speaker 1: was fun to watch that. Hm. It didn't get too
- 11:37Speaker 1: hygien cy for me at all. I thought it was.
- 11:42Speaker 1: There was a lot of humor, and I enjoyed watching it.
- 11:45Speaker 1: I also really enjoyed Jesse and Dominic together as a pair.
- 11:50Speaker 1: I thought there they had a really great, playful, natural chemistry.
- 11:54Speaker 1: They had great dialogue that had this quippy rhythm which
- 11:59Speaker 1: speaks to my right. I loved it. I love their
- 12:02Speaker 1: meet you in the hotel bar. Oh, that exact wording
- 12:06Speaker 1: is in my notes. I just thought it was so good.
- 12:09Speaker 1: I thought they were great together. I really enjoyed their
- 12:12Speaker 1: chemistry as well. To build on what you said, when
- 12:14Speaker 1: they have that dance and they almost kiss, and then
- 12:17Speaker 1: she comes back and they do kiss, it was great.
- 12:20Speaker 1: I also loved when they're going on a date and
- 12:23Speaker 1: Sabrina comes out slightly overdressed and she says, I'm gonna
- 12:26Speaker 1: go change and he says, don't you dare, And there's
- 12:29Speaker 1: a callback to that don't you dare later in the movie.
- 12:32Speaker 1: They had really nice chemistry. As much as their relationship
- 12:37Speaker 1: wasn't necessarily the one I was rooting for the most
- 12:39Speaker 1: and we'll talk about it. But they were really nice together.
- 12:44Speaker 1: And this movie is a little bit about the mistaken
- 12:47Speaker 1: identity of a royal. I like how we flip that
- 12:49Speaker 1: trope on its head a little bit, because typically we
- 12:53Speaker 1: have the royal pretending to be your average Joe, right,
- 12:57Speaker 1: and in this case, nobody was pretending. It was mistaken identity.
- 13:00Speaker 1: But I like that we flip it the other way.
- 13:03Speaker 1: Often those royal storylines don't land for me because they're
- 13:06Speaker 1: trying to paint this fish out of water. I don't
- 13:09Speaker 1: know how to function in a world that is not royal.
- 13:11Speaker 1: And because we weren't trying to do any of that,
- 13:15Speaker 1: this worked. I agree. I just have one more like
- 13:19Speaker 1: I loved Sabrina's world. She's a working writer. Basically she's
- 13:27Speaker 1: working in this coffee shop, but she's also a writer.
- 13:29Speaker 1: I loved her friends when they go to that party
- 13:32Speaker 1: and there's one of her guy friends like, let's take
- 13:36Speaker 1: a selfie. I just all of it, Like it felt
- 13:39Speaker 1: very believable. I just loved it so much. Of these
- 13:42Speaker 1: I would say early thirty year old Yeah in the
- 13:45Speaker 1: city hust Linda Makett. It was just so enjoyable to watch. Now,
- 13:51Speaker 1: I do have some wishes and this is going to
- 13:52Speaker 1: be the biggest one. And I know you're gonna agree,
- 13:54Speaker 1: But Sabrina getting mad at Ian does not work for
- 13:57Speaker 1: me in this movie. He never to her agree. The
- 14:01Speaker 1: conflict is overblown for me. Her reaction does not fit
- 14:06Speaker 1: the scenario here, the turn and leaving and who you're
- 14:10Speaker 1: not him? Like, I feel duped. He never lied to you,
- 14:15Speaker 1: he never said no. Now did he feel embarrassed? Yeah,
- 14:19Speaker 1: but not angry. I wrote down in my notes this
- 14:23Speaker 1: fallout could have leaned more into oh, now I feel
- 14:27Speaker 1: awkward or embarrassed for assuming you were this and not that,
- 14:31Speaker 1: versus I feel betrayed. Yeah. I was like screaming from
- 14:36Speaker 1: my couch, like I was like, no, he never said
- 14:39Speaker 1: anything like no. Granted, had he figured it out. He
- 14:44Speaker 1: did figure it out, like he could have let her
- 14:46Speaker 1: in sooner, he could have, and he tried. There were
- 14:48Speaker 1: moments like he did try to tell her and then
- 14:50Speaker 1: they were interrupted. Yeah, it's it's It's very classic Hallmark
- 14:55Speaker 1: in that way. But that was my biggest wish. I
- 14:58Speaker 1: have a couple other little ones. That's my biggest wish
- 15:01Speaker 1: to the only other thing I said was there's a
- 15:05Speaker 1: little bit too much who's on first for me in
- 15:08Speaker 1: terms of the misdirection and the mistaken identity. At some
- 15:12Speaker 1: point it's like who are all of these people? But
- 15:17Speaker 1: it didn't take away from my overall enjoyment of the movie.
- 15:20Speaker 1: There were a lot of subplots. Yeah, they all worked mostly,
- 15:24Speaker 1: but you got like the family Jewels storyline and Ian's
- 15:28Speaker 1: reading foundation project. It was kind of all a lot.
- 15:32Speaker 1: I do think there could have been some trimming, like, Okay, fine,
- 15:37Speaker 1: let us know why you're here, but we don't need
- 15:39Speaker 1: like the whole setup of the Jewelry storyline and Ian's
- 15:44Speaker 1: reading storyline. I mean, I guess it all comes together
- 15:47Speaker 1: in the end, but like, it just felt like too much.
- 15:51Speaker 1: When I wanted more of the Cordelia storyline, I wanted
- 15:56Speaker 1: more from Hazel and young Grayson, and I thought that's
- 16:02Speaker 1: what we were getting because when you read the synopsis
- 16:04Speaker 1: of this, obviously it's based on a book, and the
- 16:08Speaker 1: book references Eloise and that childhood storyline. Right, they couldn't
- 16:14Speaker 1: do that here, but it seems like a very big
- 16:17Speaker 1: part of the movie that doesn't they could have done
- 16:19Speaker 1: more with I thought, so, Yeah, we're telling a lot
- 16:23Speaker 1: of stories in eighty minutes. Yeah, yeah, exactly. I had
- 16:26Speaker 1: a hard time understanding the significance of Grayson's memoir, like
- 16:33Speaker 1: why is he getting a memoir? Like why is he
- 16:35Speaker 1: a big deal? She says something to him in the beginning,
- 16:38Speaker 1: like you're one of the most pre eminent something something
- 16:41Speaker 1: something's that sets it up. But other than that, it's
- 16:45Speaker 1: just a way to bring them all together in the
- 16:46Speaker 1: same place. I get that, but I was like, maybe
- 16:48Speaker 1: make it. I don't know, because we don't talk a
- 16:52Speaker 1: lot about his present day. It's all past exactly exactly.
- 16:56Speaker 1: And my other wish that goes for that for Sabrina,
- 17:02Speaker 1: who is under this massive NDA, she's sure spending a
- 17:06Speaker 1: lot of time in public with the guy that she
- 17:08Speaker 1: is ghostwriting a memoir for. When Ian knows that she
- 17:12Speaker 1: is ghostwriting for somebody significant, Ian never goes, who's that
- 17:17Speaker 1: dude you're hanging out with so much at this hotel, Like,
- 17:20Speaker 1: who's that guy?
- 17:21Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 17:21Speaker 1: Kind of like talking to ghosts and people know. Nobody
- 17:24Speaker 1: ever says, who are you talking to me? Exactly? Yeah, exactly,
- 17:29Speaker 1: that's it for me. Well I only have one did
- 17:32Speaker 1: you see that? And I got a couple bite of watching.
- 17:35Speaker 1: So for me, there's a scene where they're on the
- 17:38Speaker 1: street and Ian and Sabrina are almost run down by
- 17:42Speaker 1: a petticab. The petticab is driven by a man in
- 17:46Speaker 1: a reindeer suit, which is absolutely a callback to the
- 17:49Speaker 1: Santa Summit, which was of course directed by Jeff Beasley.
- 17:53Speaker 1: That role was played by Eric Tubley. I did DM
- 17:55Speaker 1: Eric to ask if he stopped by, because this was
- 17:58Speaker 1: filmed in Winnipeg, which is where Eric lives. Eric has
- 18:03Speaker 1: on got back to it. He didn't respond. That would
- 18:07Speaker 1: have been great. Actually, wouldn't that be great? Just something
- 18:10Speaker 1: that and if you know, you know, and it's I mean,
- 18:13Speaker 1: it's blink and you'll miss it. If you're not looking
- 18:15Speaker 1: for it, you will not see it. I actually rewound
- 18:17Speaker 1: it to see if it was a the person was
- 18:19Speaker 1: in a reindeer suit on the petticap because could you
- 18:22Speaker 1: tell what wassen? Yeah, he's in a reindeer suit. So funny. Yeah,
- 18:25Speaker 1: love it. My digit se that are. There is a
- 18:29Speaker 1: scene where they showed the New York City skyline and
- 18:32Speaker 1: you can see the Empire State Building and the lights
- 18:34Speaker 1: on the building are red, white and blue, and then
- 18:37Speaker 1: we cut to Sabrina explaining to Ian that they change
- 18:40Speaker 1: the lights out on the building, and then they show
- 18:43Speaker 1: the building again and the lights are pink and green.
- 18:45Speaker 1: Oh so it's just like b Roll on top of
- 18:48Speaker 1: b Roll. Yeah. When they go to the library and
- 18:52Speaker 1: the kids are decorating gingerbread houses, you see these kids
- 18:56Speaker 1: working on these houses and the icing is so professionally
- 18:58Speaker 1: done on these gingerbreads. And then they show Sabrina and
- 19:03Speaker 1: Dominic's house that they're working on and it looks like
- 19:04Speaker 1: a child has made it. It's terrible, terrible. There was
- 19:10Speaker 1: a great line that Sabrina said that I just love
- 19:12Speaker 1: so much. She says, I'm too square to be in
- 19:14Speaker 1: any circles and I feel this deeply. I loved it.
- 19:17Speaker 1: And my last did you see that is on IMDb
- 19:24Speaker 1: if you go to Jeff's account, it shows an upcoming work,
- 19:28Speaker 1: a Magical New York Christmas, which is this movie. It
- 19:30Speaker 1: says it's in pre production. Now like obviously, you know,
- 19:34Speaker 1: somebody put this in on IMDb. Originally that's what it was.
- 19:37Speaker 1: But if you look at it and you look at
- 19:40Speaker 1: the cast, it has a lot of the same players
- 19:44Speaker 1: who are in this movie. But then it has a
- 19:46Speaker 1: whole bunch of other people, including Kristin Booth, but it
- 19:51Speaker 1: doesn't have a character name, and I was like, interesting,
- 19:57Speaker 1: what's the story? But it still shows Jesse Dominic. No, well,
- 20:01Speaker 1: is it possible that that's not the same movie. It's
- 20:05Speaker 1: the same movie because it has al who plays Grayson Westcott.
- 20:08Speaker 1: Oh oh, and that's the name of the book, of course, yes,
- 20:10Speaker 1: And it has Susan Lowen who plays Bunny, and then
- 20:13Speaker 1: it has all these other characters, all these other actors
- 20:16Speaker 1: in it, tons, tons, And I'm like, what is the
- 20:20Speaker 1: story here? I did read on Reddit somebody had reported
- 20:25Speaker 1: I don't know if this is factual or not, but
- 20:27Speaker 1: Jesse was hired like days before the production started. Oh
- 20:31Speaker 1: so was Kristen swapped out? I can't imagine they're playing
- 20:35Speaker 1: the same character. I would think Kristin might have been
- 20:38Speaker 1: Lady Braxton. Perhaps I don't I don't know. Sin's not
- 20:41Speaker 1: old enough to play the Lady Braxton rule. So when
- 20:44Speaker 1: you look at the stars at the top, it says
- 20:46Speaker 1: Al Sapienza, Kristin Booth, and Sean Patrick Folster, and so
- 20:49Speaker 1: he I assume was hired to play the love interest.
- 20:53Speaker 1: And I think we might have been telling a slightly
- 20:54Speaker 1: different story here. Yeah, when did it change? Jeff? If
- 20:59Speaker 1: you're listening, please message us and give me some details.
- 21:02Speaker 1: No writer attached, so who knows if the screenplay had
- 21:08Speaker 1: been adapted yet at this point. Yeah? Very interesting. I
- 21:12Speaker 1: do believe Jeff does occasionally listen to this podcast, so
- 21:15Speaker 1: drop in with your thoughts. Draft Well, let's rate a
- 21:22Speaker 1: sweet holiday romance. I gave it four point seven five stars.
