- 0:00When I say conversation landmine, you know what I'm talking about. Yeah,
- 0:04a conversation you bring up in fireworks. Yeah, at any point in a
- 0:08conversation could be going well, and then if you mentioned one of these quote
- 0:12land mindes, it just blows up and it's over. Right. Usually you
- 0:16try to avoid them at all costs, right, So these are the landmind's
- 0:19husbands should avoid, Amanda. So you tell me if your husband were to
- 0:23say any of these things, if it would just set you off, it'd
- 0:26be worked up. So like you know, for example, your mother slash
- 0:30sister slash friend is crazy if you were to say something like that, Yeah,
- 0:35I guess it depends like in the context or where it's at, But
- 0:39otherwise I might go, yeah, I know, I agree. It's always
- 0:42a tricky line to walk when it comes to like your in laws, like
- 0:45the family. Like for me anyway, it's like it's okay for me to
- 0:48say certain things about my family or or you know what I mean, correct,
- 0:52But when it gets to be other people like in laws, it gets
- 0:55a little danna. I'm like, I don't like it, yeah, because
- 0:57some people get offended worse from is like, oh my gosh, you who
- 1:00are just like your mom. Some people be like wow, really, like
- 1:03really are you going there? And it kind of depends on your situation,
- 1:07so you wouldn't say it's a conversation land mine. Necessarily, it's not gonna
- 1:10set me up. If Nick said, oh, your friend so and so
- 1:11it's crazy, you probably agree. I'd probably start laughing and be like,
- 1:15okay, and so is Dan your friend? What jeez, take it easy.
- 1:21Dan has nothing to do with this. What about if somebody like a
- 1:25husband said, if your husband brought up in the conversation, well, if
- 1:29we a little more, yeah, that's gonna annoy me. Yeah, for
- 1:34sure. Has he ever done that? The blains? I think, wow,
- 1:36if we just you know, horsed around more. No, But it's
- 1:38always like if it's been a little bit, it's gonna like, well it's
- 1:42on you. Well it's on you, or you know kind of like well
- 1:44I've been trying. Oh have you you know, right, when where was
- 1:48this big We're making well with the with the two kids and the dog in
- 1:53the bed, like, hey, we're making some good progress, Spike,
- 1:56Yeah he made it. Update, we made it till three am without a
- 2:00kid in bed? Oh? Really? Yeah? Oh I thought you were
- 2:02gonna update this on your your interview, Like, yeah, care to share
- 2:06it. We're fine. How many a week are we up to now?
- 2:09It's fine? Okay, Oh you're so you're getting your one by one removing
- 2:13family and animals from your bed, which is a big step. It's been
- 2:16a huge process. Yeah, because they're always out. It's just like getting
- 2:21them back in. And we've had so many people tell us lock the door
- 2:23so they can't get in. I'm like, I'm also just a hey,
- 2:28I'd rather just they're only gonna be little for so long and we get little
- 2:30sleep anyway, come on it, I don't care, come on in.
- 2:34Yeah, like yeah, no, no locking doors, Like then I have
- 2:38to get up and unlock the door or they're gonna be screaming and crying where
- 2:40it's like nothing wrong with them, just all of a sudden come on and
- 2:45then they scare you for a second and then you just curl up and you
- 2:47go right back to bed. Oh that's kind of cute. They wake you
- 2:49up. Well, usually when Sydney comes down you hear this, she just
- 2:54runs because she gets scared. Oh I know, it's super Well, that's
- 2:58dark. That's just we have a little night lights. But anyway, all
- 3:00right, one time time I got scared at night when I was a little
- 3:04older. This was like I was not so much scared of monsters as I
- 3:07was. I probably like watched an episode of America's Most Wanted or something and
- 3:12solve mysteries. Yeah, I got a little scared and went downstairs, knocked
- 3:15on my dad's door, and outof what was going on there was scarier than
- 3:20any killer parked outside of the house walked into a real land mind. So
- 3:27yeah, I just dealt with those things myself up in my room from then
- 3:29on going forward, the number one conversation land mine. And this is just
- 3:31the everyone always talks about it. Relax using the word relax in a conversation
- 3:37with your spouse, yeah, or calm down, just anytime you try to
- 3:40get me to turn it down a notge or to relax. It's just anything
- 3:45like that. But the sentiment of the word is fine. It's just saying,
- 3:49like, hey, let's speak about this like in a little calmer fashion,
- 3:52let's genuinely relax. I just I just, yeah, I hate it
- 3:54because if I ever say it, because it's the perfect word to describe what
- 3:59I want you to do. But for whatever reason, those five letters together,
- 4:02my wife just like the look on her face. It's like you would
- 4:05think I just committed treason against our great nation. Come on, It's just
- 4:10a word and can give it so much weight. Totally depends on the context
- 4:14or how heated the conversation is. But yes, sometimes it's like making even
- 4:17more upset for no reason. But it's do I need to pull up my
- 4:20thesaurus and just find some synonyms for the word relax A good one. What
- 4:26is a synonym of relax? Ease? Ease up? Ease up? Honey?
- 4:30Loosen? Okay, start throwing a loosen around like a Manda in the
- 4:34morning. No, Amanda stills. Let's see, let's see. Justin Timberlake
- 4:41was on Saturday Night Live and he released another new song. So we'll talk
- 4:45about selfish here in a second. But he released Sanctified. Listen a flock
- 4:51of Flame. Oh no, you just can't get Walker out of here?
- 4:55Sorry? Sorry, guys, are you getting is walka paying you today?
- 5:00You ran in into the elevator and I when he's like, I need a
- 5:02few spins on the radio. Do you think I hear your radio teach?
- 5:05I'll buy you a drink at the bar. If you talk about me all
- 5:09day on Monday, you got it? Waka, he must be streaming us
- 5:13worldwide? Sure thing, mister flocka flame. Anyway, here's the new one
- 5:16from Justin Timberlake. All do it sanctified that he performed on SNL correct,
- 5:20you have mums Jay get a weirdness. Oh it's a jam. Yeah,
- 5:32that's a jam. This is a groove like it's kind of just you know,
- 5:35we got some soul in it. Yeah, it's a little different vibe
- 5:39than what the other one was called. What the other one was called selfish?
- 5:43And speaking of that, so this is what ended up happening over the
- 5:46weekend. So Britney Spears fans are punishing Justin Timberlake because Brittany spilled a lot
- 5:50of stuff in her book. Now, her song called Selfish was released in
- 5:54twenty eleven, so thirteen years ago, and it is number one of the
- 5:58charts right now. Justin Timberlake's version of Selfish, which is totally different,
- 6:02is number three. It's so funny and okay, what are the odds?
- 6:05First of all? And was that even a hit? Then? Is it
- 6:08even a good song? You know? I need to listen to it.
- 6:11I haven't yet, but last night Brittany did take to Instagram with a video
- 6:15of Justin and Jimmy, and she captained it, I want to apologize for
- 6:18some of the things I wrote about in my book. If I offended any
- 6:20of the people I genuinely care about, I am deeply sorry. I also
- 6:26wanted to say I'm in love with Justin Timberlake. And that's all I saw
- 6:30and I went, oh, oh, I OK. Timberlake's new song Selfish.
- 6:34She goes on to say it is so good and how come every time
- 6:38I see Justin and Jimmy together I laugh so hard? PS sanctified is wow
- 6:43with heart emoji two? Really? So this just hopefully puts it all like,
- 6:47Hey, I'm good with it. I shared what I needed to share
- 6:51because that's my story. Yeah, of course, yeah, nobody is mad
- 6:55for her her for sharing that really, well, I guess that's not true.
- 6:59Maybe some people rusify him of right now. You know what would really
- 7:01just be quite the turn of events if her and Justin got together and did
- 7:05a song, that would be awesome. You know who should also be on
- 7:09the song? It's maybe guest for the third verse walk a flock of flames
- 7:15you might be able to. Don't you think that would be good though?
- 7:19Get together with it? Yeah, that'd be a real hit. And yesterday,
- 7:25of course, we were talking about a Taylor Swift at the Chiefs game,
- 7:28and there were fans freaking out because usually when you're like trying to find
- 7:30a video, especially when you saw that she was out on the field,
- 7:34and if you didn't get to watch the entire thing after the game because you
- 7:38switched to the other one, you probably went to Twitter to type in her
- 7:41name and that's where you get all the highlights. Yeah, well, people
- 7:43were freaking out because x Taylor's or Twitter has now taken off Taylor Swift in
- 7:47the search. And this is all after the AI generated images were released last
- 7:53week of Taylor in very compromising situations. There were forty seven million views on
- 7:58Twitter alone, so they decided to just completely suspend it all, which honestly,
- 8:03I think that's all you can do at this point, you know,
- 8:05and it seems it's unprecedented. I don't think I've ever seen them go to
- 8:09this length to stop something from circulating. But when you're dealing with an animal
- 8:13like Taylor Swift, that's what you gotta do? Did you like her up
- 8:18here? What do you think of her the game? What do you mean
- 8:20like her? Her look? You've been watching videos on morning? Was it
- 8:26adorable for you? It was? I did. Like when she went up
- 8:30to Trav and Trav said something like, what's up, sweetie? What's up?
- 8:33You know? I mean, it's like just rewinding watching over many he's
- 8:37greeting his girlfriend by saying what's up? Like that. It's been done before.
- 8:43I know. I don't know why. It's just cute. It's so
- 8:48cute because we're getting just as much as like they haven't been to that long,
- 8:52but we're just getting little bits and pieces up at all. You know,
- 8:54it's still bizarre to me that she's just hanging out. It was a
- 8:58year ago I was in love with Mama Donna and the fact that the Eagles,
- 9:01and that's when everybody started falling in love with the Kelsey brothers. Now
- 9:05Here we are a year later, and now Taylor Swift is in the mix.
- 9:09It's just wild. Everything you love is just all coming together. It's
- 9:11like this world is catering itself to you. Now. All you would need
- 9:15is for Walk of Flaga flame to get in the mix. Then we be
- 9:20talking about take a mana in the morning. Seven. Well, man,
- 9:24are you ready to rock and roll? Let's do it. It's time to
- 9:28find out how weird we are. We know, generally probably pretty weird.
- 9:31But if these specific instances, you tell us, is it weird or now
- 9:37I'm an at ladies first? All right, it's a little uncomfortable. But
- 9:43do you delete people from Facebook after they pass away? Thankfully not many of
- 9:48my Facebook friends would. I don't know, you know, I guess not
- 9:52on purpose, right, I don't seek it out. That's not like my
- 9:54first reaction when I see somebody's past it's like, well sorry, audios.
- 10:00But then there are some times you're maybe friends with somebody and you don't realize
- 10:03that they passed away, and you'd hate to be the person to write I
- 10:07don't know. And I noticed this the other day. This is why I
- 10:09bring it up, is I'm friends with somebody who passed away, and I
- 10:11didn't delete them as a friend on Facebook because you're just I don't know.
- 10:16I'm not ready to. I don't feel like I need to, you know,
- 10:18But I saw people wishing them a happy birthday, like happy birthday,
- 10:22bro, hopefully you have a great day, and I'm thinking, did you
- 10:24not get the memo or because usually you're supposed to put happy heavenly birthday super
- 10:31uncomfortable, Like, for instance, my mom she passed away and now she
- 10:33has a thing I was like remembering, Yeah, yeah, it turns out
- 10:37like a memorial page, right correct. But with that being said, there
- 10:41are times people like tag her in things and I'm like, what why are
- 10:43we doing this? It's so weird and it's uncomfortable, and like do you
- 10:48just on from them? You know, it's kind of heartbreaking because some people
- 10:50you'll see like well they'll write on their wall, you know, randomly thinking
- 10:54you know, it's just really sad. But no, Amanda, to answer
- 10:58your question, I try not to dele the people have passed away. I
- 11:01mean obviously I do. I don't know a lot of times, no,
- 11:03I don't know. We're in a unique situation of just you know, being
- 11:05a radio person, we have a lot of Facebook friends who we don't know
- 11:09necessarily, where if you just only have people you know and love, I'm
- 11:13guessing you probably don't delete them, you keep them as a friend. Yeah,
- 11:16exactly. Being a Manda Lee a big said no, you know,
- 11:20you gotta have you gotta make a room because they only let you have so
- 11:22many friends. But I just wonder if other people do that, if it's
- 11:26like, okay, you weren't super super close or whatever. I don't know
- 11:28it's comfortable, but I'm going to go you're a certified weirdo. Okay,
- 11:33okay, thank you, all right? A man in my turn? Is
- 11:33it weird that when I go on trips vacations on the road, I give
- 11:39myself a little treat in the form of not brushing my teeth before bed.
- 11:45It's sort of like a little getaway from the everyday hygiene requirements. No,
- 11:48I'll brush them in the morning, but going to bed, Like Lauren always
- 11:52on trips and stuff, she's brushing our teeth before bed, I'm like,
- 11:54take the night off. You know. Sometimes I do forego that if i'm
- 11:58you know, if you're in bed and you're like, for instance, if
- 12:01I'm having like a glass of wine or something and I fall asleep, I'm
- 12:03like, oh, okay, probably should have got up and brushed my teeth.
- 12:07But that's like the first thing I do when I wake up. I
- 12:09know it's not a good habit to get into but of course not. But
- 12:11at the end of the day, in the long run, is it gonna
- 12:13make a bit of a difference. I love though, the way you are.
- 12:16You're phrasing this like you've packaged it like I'm going on vacation. Yeah,
- 12:20I don't have to right brush my see like or it's like similar to
- 12:24throwing a hat on in the morning. And I know, I guess you
- 12:26wear hats sometimes, don't you. Sometimes three times you feel like you kind
- 12:31of you just had a hard time lately, or you did something really stressful
- 12:33the day before. It's like, I'm gonna treat myself by wearing a hat
- 12:37today. This is weird that you like get excited and this is a thing
- 12:43for that now adding a sweatshirt like just a lazy hoodie. If you're looking
- 12:46at me on a big ninety of points of live Facebook feed, you can
- 12:50tell I've really treated myself today to the ultimate laziness. The worst, though,
- 12:54is when you throw together a look where you were in a hat and
- 12:56you're putting on you know, you throw on a sweatch and people like,
- 12:58oh my gosh, you looks so cy you today, I'm thinking, why
- 13:01do I even try? If this is the vibe that you're okay with Yeah,
- 13:05I will do this every day. Right. Well, it's like if
- 13:07you got kids and you know, you're making meals and stuff and you make
- 13:09like something you think is super delicious and you put a lot of work into
- 13:13it, and they're just kind of like man, oh every night. Yeah,
- 13:15and then you make hot dogs, like, Mommy, what's the recipe?
- 13:18This is delicious. It's kind of like that. I'm kind of dressed
- 13:22like the hot dog today, Amanda in the morning on SIG seven. Well,
- 13:28Amanda, you know you got young kids probably entering the sleepover phase of
- 13:31childhood. Right. We were just talking about that. We've never had a
- 13:35sleepover, and my daughter she's about to be five, and we were kind
- 13:39of talking about that. We're like, gosh, maybe we should have her
- 13:41have that experience. There's a new thing, a new trend, Amanda,
- 13:43that you know you'll probably experiences with your kids that you know, you maybe
- 13:46don't want them to be sleeping over at somebody's place, and also they might
- 13:50not want it. It can be stressful for young kIPS totally, yeah,
- 13:52or they think they want to and then they get homesick. I mean,
- 13:56everybody goes through those stages. Absolutely, it was a week. You're just
- 14:00thing. I remember the same thing as a kid, like getting so excited
- 14:03you're going to sleep over your friend's house, and then it just switches.
- 14:07Suddenly you're there and you're like, oh my god, I want to be
- 14:09home. Yeah, you're rying. Your parents have to come pick you up
- 14:11in the middle of the night. It's humiliating. Well not to fear man.
- 14:16There's a new trend that psychologists have concocted. It's a brilliant, a
- 14:20brilliant, really idea. It took years and years of scientific research and studying
- 14:26to develop this new trend demanded that they're calling sleep unders. It's where you
- 14:33pick the kid up before bed, so set asleep over. You just pick
- 14:41them up, psychologists have deemed the news. Can we not call it a
- 14:46sleep under? I don't know why. I don't know why. I'm not
- 14:48a fan of that name, but it's making me a little uncomfortable. And
- 14:54hey, I can't imagine Sidney Lewin or Briggs coming over mom. Can we
- 14:58go over it? It was easy for a little sleep under. I don't
- 15:03know about that. You know, you're right, Amanda. They spent so
- 15:05much time researching the theory of the whole thing. They got a little hasty
- 15:07when it came to name again, they just let's just go with this sleep
- 15:11under it. But I do I do like that, yes, or like
- 15:15for us, we have a lot of neighbor kids in our area to where
- 15:18if we were to probably do our first sleepover, it's within reason. You
- 15:22know, I'm not going to send her somewhere that she's not you know,
- 15:24even with grandparents and stuff like that. They get anxious and they struggle with
- 15:28that, you know, even when they are home and we're not there.
- 15:31Yeah, yeah, something about it. It's just stressful. So you know,
- 15:35maybe try using the sleep under method for a while, really, just
- 15:37see how they see how they do with it, because you know, eventually
- 15:41it can be the best thing. Sleepovers. When I was a kid,
- 15:43do you remember like that feeling of getting the permission from your parent to sleep
- 15:46over to friend's house. Oh, they were the best, the best.
- 15:50Even as an adult, like I kind of miss not having sleepovers really,
- 15:54yeah, like what, I'll still do it everyone. It's more so just
- 15:56passing out on your friend's couch. But that's sort of an adult sleep and
- 16:00I don't mind when it was like you and another girlfriend or like something like
- 16:03that, maybe three people. But when it was a big sleepover, did
- 16:07you ever go to those? Oh yeah, there was always somebody left out
- 16:11the mean situation. Yes, it was always brutal. Why I don't know,
- 16:17Like, why were we so mean? He just had it was just
- 16:19every man for himself. He just had to make sure it wasn't you.
- 16:22Hyeah. It's just awful. I hate that feeling, like it actually takes
- 16:26me back. I'm like, oh, you think you're todded. Sydney will
- 16:29be the one I hope not. Oh gosh, well, I mean either
- 16:33side, what would you rather have her getting picked on or her doing the
- 16:36picking on? Right? No, and you're bound to probably go through all
- 16:38those stages, which I think also just make you who you are. You
- 16:42have those struggles, but not easy for a parent. No, just just
- 16:47sleep under for now. Just try that. She did just get invited to
- 16:49her first birthday party. I got a text message because sometimes you get them,
- 16:52and I'm like, oh, we're we're in this stage because she's never
- 16:56had really a big birthday party anything like that, and now she has like
- 17:00your own friends. Yes, because for the first however, many years your
- 17:03friends are just your parents' friends, kids or whatever, you know, totally
- 17:07not really your choosing. Yeah, she's like, oh so, and so
- 17:11I'm like, who's that? Tell me more about their parents? Like trending
- 17:18now what you need to know? Oh boy, if you're a Lions fan,
- 17:22I felt for you. The forty nine ers were down by seventeen points
- 17:26in the half and they made a comeback against the Lions. They're now going
- 17:30to be taken on the Chiefs for the Super Bowl. Of course, everybody
- 17:33side the Chiefs and Taylor Swift. That's really before we get into the headline
- 17:37of the whole thing. Well, Taylor Swift's attendance to the game, of
- 17:40course, I would like to point it's kind of shocking to me that it
- 17:42was that close of a game with the Lions because the Packers, I remember
- 17:45not long ago destroyed the Lions and oh yeah, then the next week they
- 17:48destroyed the Kansas City Chiefs. So it's just like just to put in a
- 17:52perspective, and then it was just like a down spiral for him. After
- 17:53that's enough, you I brought it up. I want any of the games.
- 17:59This is all news to me, so Okay, was Taylor Swift there?
- 18:03Amanda she was? She was there. She went down onto the field,
- 18:06which I guess surprised. I think a lot of people, me included.
- 18:08I just didn't expect for her to be right there all of a sudden.
- 18:12Map. Yeah, you know, your famous. When it's shocking to
- 18:15see you among among the village. What's that doing in the town square?
- 18:19She was kissing Travis Kelce. The whole family was there. Was super cute.
- 18:23But now everybody's wondering, at least except for the dad's brads and chads.
- 18:26They are not excited about it. But will she be at the super
- 18:30Bowl? So next week she has the Grammys. Some people think that Travis
- 18:33Kelce may gat tend the Grammys with her. I don't know about that,
- 18:37but I do know that her tour kicks off in Tokyo February seventh through the
- 18:41tenth. Now, her concert ends at eleven pm on Saturday night February tenth,
- 18:45which is six am Saturday morning in Vegas. So since she has a
- 18:48private jet, she could be in Vegas plenty of time to be there for
- 18:52the three thirty kickoff. I think she will, I really do. Is
- 18:55there a chance that she pulls at Jonas Brothers and just cancels the concert.
- 19:00You don't think so. She's got a lot of fans. Does she really
- 19:02need Tokyo the biggest city in the world. I don't know. Wouldn't that
- 19:07be something, though? I think I think she'll just make it work,
- 19:11you know, I yeah, that'd be crazy. I mean, I mean,
- 19:15you've been in every game. You're not gonna be at the super Bowl.
- 19:18Taylor Swift will make her appearance. Well, you know me, I
- 19:21drove all the way here from Iowa last night just to get here for this
- 19:25radio show. So if I could make that work, I bet she could
- 19:26make it happen. Really appreciated. What time did you roll into town last
- 19:30night? Pulled in the West Fargo at three am? Oh so this morning,
- 19:33not four hours ago? Yeah, it was pretty awesome. Good morning,
- 19:37sunshine, yep, good to be here. Everybody is thankful that you
- 19:41made it in today. By the way, I'd like to get a text
- 19:42maybe saying so, but all right. A snowboarder spent fifteen hours stuck in
- 19:47a ski gondola. She was at Lake Tahoe skiing, and she said she
- 19:52was too tired to ride down the mountain, so she took the lyft Thursday
- 19:55afternoon. Unfortunately the lyfts stopped. Wait, she was taking the gondola down.
- 20:00Are you saying she was too tired? So she took she took the
- 20:03lift, lazy bones. Yeah, she just she was she was how to
- 20:07run ski? You're there to ski down the hill, right, yeah,
- 20:10but she was tired. You can just kind of roll, I mean,
- 20:15really, that's the easiest part. But okay, that's not true. Are
- 20:18you kidding me? I've had to be rescued from the skiers down. Yes,
- 20:22oh my gosh, yes, yeah, it as easy as you think.
- 20:26I was good with the greens and then I made it to the blues
- 20:29and I remember, it was not a good situation to the bunny Hill lady.
- 20:33So she got stuck anywhere. Yeah, so she said she lost her
- 20:37voice. She was screaming desperately. Overnight temperatures reach about twenty three degrees.
- 20:41Thankfully, Friday morning, the lift started up again. They found her.
- 20:45She declined to go to the hospital. The ski resort is investigating the incident.
- 20:48But yeah, so scary, and those gondolas if it's just a normal
- 20:52ski left, like I'm imagining where It's crazy to me. They don't have
- 20:55any sort of rail or buckle or nothing that gives me so much anxiety.
- 21:00I mean, they make show like every vehicle you gotta have a buckle up
- 21:03to the mask ringe thinking about it. Now that they make them more,
- 21:06they're more of the gondola situation, like, okay, this is doable.
- 21:08At least I'm enclosed in you this tiny little bench one hundred feet above the
- 21:15ground, and then you have skis so you're tangling. I remember being little
- 21:18and this was kind of one of those same things when we lived in Colorado.
- 21:22Ride go and visit like, okay at any giving point. I mean
- 21:25I remember just holding on for dear life. And then you get up there
- 21:29and it comes so fast, and then you get anxious and then you fall.
- 21:33Oh gosh, I know. Well, this is why I stay in
- 21:36the chalet and drink wine. All right. The City of Fargo is now
- 21:40accepting student art submissions for the Matt Bus, so you could design what is
- 21:45going to be on the bus, taking our ugly faces off of there.
- 21:48I think we're on the back of a bus and morehead still, I don't
- 21:52know. Kids, Well, I'm glad they'll be replacing that with some art.
- 21:56So here's what's going on. They are looking for middle and high school
- 21:59kids in the area. I guess the winner will get five hundred dollars and
- 22:03then you're eligible to be able to design the Matt bus for one year.
- 22:07Runner up is three hundred dollars. Third place is two hundred dollars. But
- 22:10then everybody who submits they're going to have a display at the Fargo City Haul
- 22:14in the spring, which would be really cool. That's so cool. What
- 22:15would you design? Well, I'm thinking back to some of my best art
- 22:19pieces in high school in junior high, most of which I got detention for.
- 22:22So did you Yeah, I don't think that. I don't think they'd
- 22:25be putting any of that on the bus. I had to draw a bird
- 22:29I think it was seventh grade, Yeah, and I could not do it,
- 22:32and I ended up in summer school for like a week because I had
- 22:34to go back in and do it. I finished the bird. Yes,
- 22:37it was awful. That seems ridiculous, I know it doesn't. I feel
- 22:40like there's more to this tale. There is. I feel like there was
- 22:44something else going on. But okay, there were really summer school because you
- 22:52couldn't draw a bird. It was art class. I'm not good at art.
- 22:59I put I turn in some pretty low effort projects in high school and
- 23:02I never had to go to summer school. All right, your Greek curriculum
- 23:07for art was really hot, like amna in the morning. Come on,
- 23:11get up on big. When you get into arguments, a lot of times
- 23:15it doesn't really have to be like a very serious, like heavy topic political.
- 23:19Sometimes the dumbest things can turn into really just ridiculous arguments, especially when
- 23:26you have my good friend alcohol involved. Yeah, that's gonna get you.
- 23:30So this weekend I was in Iowa. I spent a quick weekend in Iowa.
- 23:33And I know, I know what they say, if you're gonna go
- 23:34to Iowa, you gotta do at least a week to get your money.
- 23:38I believe you were only there for two days. How did you do it?
- 23:41But nonetheless, I made a quick trip to Cedar Rapids, Iowa,
- 23:45to you know, sell some merchandise at a high school wrestling tournament from my
- 23:49friend's company, Three Time Gears. So nice little side huse just you know,
- 23:53amn, you know, me trying to put food on the table for
- 23:56the good job. And so my friend, Taylor and I were there and
- 24:00him and I've been friends forever, you know, he's like the best man
- 24:02in my wedding, and so over the years we've had some arguments, of
- 24:04course, like friends do. But Amanda, We're at the hotel and as
- 24:07I'm in the room, Taylor went to go get something or something, so
- 24:11he had to ride the elevator himself. And he comes to the room and
- 24:14he opens the door and goes, You're not going to guess who I just
- 24:15saw in Iowa? And I go, well, who? He goes,
- 24:19Walk a flock of Flame, the rapper you know, you know, walk
- 24:23of Flaka. You've never heard of. All that's going through my mind right
- 24:27now. I was like, walk a Waka waka from the Muppets, from
- 24:30the Muppets, similar, No, walk a Flock of Flame. He's had
- 24:33some hits over the last fifteen years, Like in college, he was big
- 24:37for us. You get the idea. Sorry, I think what is really
- 24:42concerning to me is what is waka waka doing in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
- 24:49That's what I thought. And so I said, no, you didn't,
- 24:52you did not see walk a Flock of Flame? And he's like, no,
- 24:56dude. I was in the elevator with him, and then I looked
- 24:59it up on my phone and that's him. I'm like, okay, oh
- 25:02yeah, you called it up and you did a side by side. You
- 25:03didn't say like, hey, Waka, Well why wouldn't you say? I
- 25:08don't think you want to just be going to people who look like rappers and
- 25:11be like, hey, are you so in so famous rapper? So we
- 25:17go to the bar, and he wanted to go there because he thought Waka
- 25:19might be there at the bar in the hotel. Okay, so we go
- 25:22up there and then I and this is you know, after a few beers,
- 25:26of course, ask the staff. I said, hey, is walk
- 25:29a flock of flame here? And now my friend Taylor is very upset that
- 25:34I that I brought it up because he don't want to make a scene about
- 25:37it. You know, walk a flock of flame a man is like a
- 25:41deer in the woods. You need to approach gently otherwise you're gonna scare it
- 25:45away. So my friend's now very upset with me, and to the point
- 25:48where we're like arguing. We leave the bar, we get to the room
- 25:51and we're just going back and forth. And so before this gets any worse,
- 25:56I'm gonna go to bed, let's sleep, Let's talk about it tomorrow.
- 25:57I got a feeling we're gonna a little differently about it. We wake
- 26:00up the next day, it's all awkward. You know, sorry about the
- 26:03whole fight last night over Waka over walka flocka Flame? Well, then guess
- 26:08what, Amanda, to top it all off, we look it up.
- 26:11Guess who played a show at a college in theater Rapids, Iowa the night
- 26:15before he did your guy walk a Flock of Flame? Oh? I love
- 26:21that you guys were really getting mad at each other. Oh, it's a
- 26:23very serious, serious conversation. I got a feeling you're gonna be listening to
- 26:27some Walk of Flaka today, aren't you a big fan? Big fan?
- 26:32You like it a Manda in the morning, big nutty eight point seven.
- 26:34You know what I also like doing? Breaking societal norms? Yeah? Wow,
- 26:40coming in here? Are a real savage this morning part totally. I
- 26:44mean, can we talk about Valentine's date? Because you know, you're starting
- 26:45to see more and more headlines as we're a couple of weeks out from the
- 26:48big love Day. Yeah, you know, there's so many lies surrounding this
- 26:52made up holiday, Dad, Jazz, I just want what For example,
- 26:55Amanda, the things that we say to each other, these really like inflated
- 26:59face fanny statements. And you know it starts when you're a kid and you
- 27:02get those little hearts, the little Valentine's you get your classmates, which was
- 27:07always weird already. It's like it's a love holiday and we're getting all the
- 27:11kids in your class little I Love you cards. Unless there was a kid
- 27:14who really did like and you got them a special something, Oh yeah,
- 27:17you know what, you'd go through and make sure like this is the one
- 27:19that is perfect for this person. Absolutely, yes, I got this in
- 27:23like, you know, third fourth grade or something. I got a girl
- 27:26that some earrings, the fakers earrings you ever saw in the world, Yeah,
- 27:30third and fourth grade. Yeah, just a little don Juan, huh
- 27:33Yeah, let me tell you they only work out for me, Amanda.
- 27:37Well, here's the lies that we tell each other on Valentine's Dave. You
- 27:40know, things like you're my one and only true love forever. Well,
- 27:44it reminds me of little rascals. Another lie, Amanda, you're gonna hear
- 27:47on Valentine's Day, people say that you take my breath away, Like truly,
- 27:52I will say, there has been one time where my breath was sucked
- 27:55out of my lungs. Did I tell you when I met Taylor Swift?
- 27:56This was years ago, but a lot of years ago, early in her
- 28:00career, and I was so in love that when I met her, it
- 28:03was just the nerves and then just you know, sheer him out of love
- 28:06in my heart, I couldn't breathe. I thought I was going to go
- 28:10into cardiac arrest. Were you just nervous? Well, obviously, and I
- 28:15didn't want to say the wrong so I don't think I said a word.
- 28:17She sat there and she's like, oh, Hi, it's good to meet
- 28:18you, and she's like making you feel like she's the one excited to meet
- 28:22you. And I was just like, you didn't say a word right in
- 28:26the face. It was pathetic, But anyway, but in any other instance,
- 28:30I mean, would you really ever have your breath taken away? I
- 28:33don't think so. One of the guys that I met that I just was
- 28:37giddy for, like just smitten, was Darius Rucker. Were you there for
- 28:41that instance where it was just unbelievable, Like I just looked. I had
- 28:45the biggest smile on my face and he just kind of looks at me,
- 28:48like, get this weirdo away from me right now. It was hilarious.
- 28:52Well, you had a crush on Darius Rucker did love Darius? I know
- 28:56he's the man. Great music and yeah who who stuff was incredible, But
- 29:00okay, I had no idea also a man. Another lie you're gonna hear
- 29:03in Valentine's Day my heart belongs to you now and always. This is sort
- 29:07of depressing, but I mean in a literal sense. I suppose that's a
- 29:11lie, right because your heart belongs to yourself and nobody else is really gonna
- 29:15get that. But right in my chest, that's where that boy goes.
- 29:18You're my forever love. Another lie we tell each other on Valentine's Day.
- 29:22I mean in some cases, yes, of course. I mean down the
- 29:26road maybe, But when you're young and handing out Valentine's it's a little aggressive.
- 29:30Yeah, well you're just a little scarred still from your Valentine's Day mishap.
- 29:34Which one the one one where the boy gave me the jewelry or the
- 29:40one where I had a tampon box as my Valentine. I do love the
- 29:42one where you bring the tampon box to class as your Valentine's Day box.
- 29:45But what happened with the boy? The boy who gave me Ryan Davis gave
- 29:49me a necklace. It reminds me of a young me, this Ryan Davis.
- 29:53It was just the sweetest and I opened it in front of my girlfriends
- 29:56and didn't know what it said. We're like, this is so dumb,
- 30:00like it was just like it looks like it was written in like Japanese.
- 30:03It just had like sick like letters and stuff. Was this an arrow where
- 30:07people are getting like Shinese symbols on tattoo? You're really sure? And then
- 30:11at recess he's like, did you like it? And he came over and
- 30:15he grabbed it and he started spinning it. You could spin the necklace and
- 30:18it said XO axo axel And I felt so bad because I had already basically
- 30:23told everybody, oh, my gosh, is just so mean. Mean girl
- 30:27totally can see that r D. My guy Ryan just gets heart ripped out
- 30:32of his chest. I know, did he ever recover? Do we know
- 30:33what he's up to? I think he's probably doing just fine. I will
- 30:37check the jail us like it a minute in the morning on Big Nutty eight
- 30:42points seven. Let this be a little lesson to everybody out there. Okay,
- 30:47this is an incredible tale. But woman named Lou, Amanda elderly woman
- 30:51Lou, cute name like it, long, full life, and when it
- 30:55came time for her life to unfortunately end, she had a last minute change
- 31:00of heart when it came to her will. Okay. So she had the
- 31:03will in place, and she's got three kids, Okay, So the plan
- 31:07was to leave everything to the three kids, of course, and Lou,
- 31:11through some sound investments and hard work through her life, had accumulated two point
- 31:15eight million dollars of that worth. Wow, Mama Lou working hard for that
- 31:21money. Yeah. So even splitting that three ways for the young kids,
- 31:25that's still a pretty good chunk of change for them. Well. Absolutely,
- 31:27Holy smoke. Here's the sad part, Amanda. All three kids in the
- 31:32latter part of Lou's life, no calls, weren't there to help, didn't
- 31:37do really anything to take care of Mama Lou. Do we know how Mama
- 31:41Lou passed? No, I don't know. I think she just died in
- 31:45the nursing home. Gosh, that's really sad. Though she decided a manded
- 31:48the end of her life that you know what, these spoiled rodden kids didn't
- 31:52do anything for me. Why would I leave it to them when the only
- 31:55person that was there for me at the end of my life that comforted me
- 31:59was my dog. And so she changed it a will that all two point
- 32:01eight million dollars would be left to the dog. And this is the best
- 32:06platoph You're thinking, Okay, well, two point million dollars, You're never
- 32:08gonna need that much money to take care of a dog, But she wrote
- 32:12in there that any offspring of the dog, so pretty much, however many
- 32:15offspring these dogs have to have the two point eight million is only going to
- 32:20take care of them the only person that was there to comfort her at the
- 32:22end of her life. Do we know the dog's name or any information on
- 32:25the dog, how old the dog is? Is the dog gonna pass away
- 32:29anytime soon? Because then what happened if I probably in the next ten to
- 32:32fifteen years, but even then, I mean two point eight million dollars in
- 32:37I know this is going to shock you, but the dog can't spend the
- 32:40money. The dog can't take it the money to the bank. The dog
- 32:45can't do withdrawals, go to the steakhouse and get a damn stead. Now,
- 32:50somebodys have to do it for the dog. So can the kids argue
- 32:52this and say, oh, Mama, Lou, you know, wasn't she
- 32:57was not in a right mind? Right? I don't know, because I
- 33:00mean, truly, they don't deserve it, right, I mean that alone,
- 33:02it's a slap in the face. You know, you did your mom
- 33:05wrong if that's what happened. Yeah, and who knows, I mean,
- 33:07we don't know the whole story. Maybe Lou sucked, who knows, you
- 33:12know. Nonetheless, it's her two point oh mill and she can do what
- 33:15she wants with it. Oh but maybe they were just they knew they were
- 33:17getting that money. Just spoiled rotten brats thinking like, oh, no,
- 33:21big deal, whatever. I'm just picturing what's that show? And I haven't
- 33:23watched it, but it sounds like a succession. Have you watched that?
- 33:27Oh? I have? Yeah? Is it similar like Spoiled Kids yadayana kind
- 33:30of Yeah? People doing dirty things? Yeah? Is it a good Is
- 33:34it a good show? Should I watch it? No? Everybody said it
- 33:37was fantastic. So my husband and I tuned in and it was the slowest.
- 33:40We didn't even finish it. We just couldn't get into it. It
- 33:44was so weird. I don't know why. It wasn't terrible, It just
- 33:45was you just keep waiting and waiting and waiting for something to happen. Does
- 33:50somebody die in the first episode? Nope, I can see that, And
- 33:52that's just it. You're waiting for somebody to die this whole time, and
- 33:55spoiler, and I think somebody eventually does. We just never got to that
- 33:59point. Sure, sure, but you know you got to really get right
- 34:00to it. You know, there wasn't a dog involved in this situation.
- 34:04I'm going to need a death, much like we unfortunately lost Lou. I'm
- 34:07going to need somebody to dine that first episode otherwise I can't get hooked.
- 34:10Doesn't get you love a good TV death, not real deaths. Hate those.
- 34:15Thank you for clarify. I really appreciate that. I'm really I've been
- 34:19really anti death. You could say
