  - Hello, and this is your PCJ Pop, I'm Olivia.
• 0:10
  - And I'm Shauna.
• 0:12
Olivia, what are you popping this week?
• 0:15
  - So I'm bringing it back to an iconic historical show
• 0:19
that was released in 2020 when we were all inside our homes.
• 0:24
I'm curious if you've actually ever seen it, Shauna.
• 0:26
It's called The Great with Elle Fanning in it.
• 0:31
  - I have not, but I love the dude.
• 0:36
  (laughing)
• 0:39
  - So I want to.
• 0:40
  - I love Nicholas Hoult.
• 0:42
  - Okay, yeah, it has Elle Fanning and Nicholas Hoult.
• 0:45
  It's so good.
• 0:46
So it's about, like it's an anachronistic retelling
• 0:49
of Catherine The Great, who is a royal woman living
• 0:55
in rural Russia in the 18th century,
• 0:58
and ultimately marries the Emperor of Russia,
• 1:01
  which is Nicholas Holt.
• 1:03
So hot, he's so good at playing a stupid handsome.
• 1:07
  Yes, he's such a combo.
• 1:10
  - The writing is so funny.
• 1:12
Like honestly, like every single line,
• 1:16
  you're just cracking up.
• 1:17
Again, I'm popping a lot of historical shows,
• 1:21
but this one is actually like,
• 1:24
  so hilarious.
• 1:26
And so Elfanning and Nicholas Holt do such a good job,
• 1:29
but within it, it's by Tony MacDamerra,
• 1:32
but honestly, I could not recommend this more.
• 1:36
If you don't know anything about Russian history,
• 1:39
you don't really need to, but she is a very interesting,
• 1:42
I mean, it's like Rasputins in it.
• 1:44
So it is like a very popular, yeah, right, exactly.
• 1:48
  So it's a popular time.
• 1:49
I mean, Catherine The Great is a very well known,
• 1:52
like Empress of Russia as well.
• 1:55
And yeah, it's so funny, I can't recommend it enough.
• 1:58
You can find it on good news.
• 2:01
  - Yeah, it's really, really good.
• 2:02
So you can find it and stream it on Hulu,
• 2:06
and that's it for PCJ Pop.
