- 0:05Speaker 1: Welcome to Cardinal Territory a special girls addition.
- 0:09Speaker 2: I'm Katie Wu. That is Alexa Dat.
- 0:12Speaker 1: We are so excited to be here with you as
- 0:14Speaker 1: we reached the official halfway mark of spring training and
- 0:17Speaker 1: time flies when you're having fun, Alexa, thank you so
- 0:20Speaker 1: much for coming on.
- 0:21Speaker 2: I'm really happy here, Katie.
- 0:23Speaker 3: This is gonna be so fun. Thank you so much
- 0:25Speaker 3: for having me. And first of all, you're hosting Skills
- 0:27Speaker 3: because I've been watching the podcast. Obviously you're crushing it girl,
- 0:31Speaker 3: and I can say that from experience like watching you
- 0:32Speaker 3: evolve as you host this podcast. It's been so fun
- 0:35Speaker 3: and you're like your talent level is exponentially increasing with
- 0:39Speaker 3: every pod, so keep it up.
- 0:40Speaker 1: Oh I'm so proud so much you are, Girl, Danny Wex, Woman,
- 0:44Speaker 1: Michelle Smallman, Saint Louis girls do you guys just do
- 0:47Speaker 1: an incredible job and make me better.
- 0:49Speaker 2: So love that about you.
- 0:50Speaker 1: But let's talk a little bit about you because one
- 0:52Speaker 1: of the main reasons I wanted to bring you on
- 0:54Speaker 1: the show, not just because of your excellent insight as
- 0:56Speaker 1: the host and reporter for fanduels where it's oh my gosh,
- 1:01Speaker 1: I'm gonna work on this fandal Sports Network Midwest.
- 1:03Speaker 2: There we go to go for the Cardinals and Blues
- 1:07Speaker 2: is because you made a little bit of history a
- 1:09Speaker 2: couple of weeks ago, did you not? I did. Yeah,
- 1:15Speaker 2: you look at me in this photo. Oh my gosh,
- 1:17Speaker 2: I was.
- 1:18Speaker 3: I was writing all the emotions, Katie. I was excited,
- 1:21Speaker 3: I was nervous.
- 1:22Speaker 2: I was.
- 1:22Speaker 3: I felt like, you know, a big girl, but kind
- 1:25Speaker 3: of like also a child at the same time fulfilling
- 1:28Speaker 3: a dream. I felt like I was carrying the dreams
- 1:31Speaker 3: of so many other young girls on my back too.
- 1:33Speaker 4: It was.
- 1:33Speaker 2: It was a lot in.
- 1:34Speaker 3: That moment, But honestly, to me, it was one of
- 1:38Speaker 3: those experiences that it's more about what it's going to
- 1:41Speaker 3: do down the road for other people and for young
- 1:44Speaker 3: girls who are watching, to be able to hear the
- 1:47Speaker 3: voice of a female play by play and go like,
- 1:49Speaker 3: oh hey, look, I can do that too, because think
- 1:51Speaker 3: about it. Growing up, I mean, we listened to Brent
- 1:53Speaker 3: Musburger and Joe Buck and Babcostas, And to me, I
- 1:57Speaker 3: love athletes, right and I respect them and the work
- 1:59Speaker 3: that they put in. But my heroes are broadcasters. They
- 2:02Speaker 3: always had and I like stand for them and and
- 2:05Speaker 3: you know, I get really nervous meeting them because they're
- 2:07Speaker 3: the true to me, you know, people that I look
- 2:11Speaker 3: up to and that I want to be when you
- 2:12Speaker 3: when I grow up. So the fact that I was
- 2:15Speaker 3: able to be able to sit in that chair, it
- 2:17Speaker 3: was kind of like a big full circle moment for
- 2:19Speaker 3: me from when I was a little kid.
- 2:21Speaker 1: I love that, and I mean it's so important, as
- 2:23Speaker 1: you and I both know, to have some representation in
- 2:25Speaker 1: baseball and for you to be the first woman in
- 2:28Speaker 1: Saint Louis Cardinal's history, a very long history with this organization,
- 2:32Speaker 1: mind you to be the lead play by play announcer.
- 2:35Speaker 1: How surreal was that when you got the call that
- 2:36Speaker 1: this was going to be an opportunity for you.
- 2:39Speaker 3: I came to Saint Louis with the idea of working
- 2:42Speaker 3: for a legendary franchise in baseball. Obviously we know the
- 2:45Speaker 3: Cardinals pedigree. It's you know, up there on par with
- 2:47Speaker 3: any organization in baseball, and so for me to come
- 2:50Speaker 3: from New York to Saint Louis, I made the decision
- 2:53Speaker 3: that you know, working alongside the Cardinals, working for the
- 2:56Speaker 3: network that airs the Cardinals games, was going to be
- 2:58Speaker 3: a pretty.
- 2:59Speaker 2: You know big deal for me.
- 3:00Speaker 3: And when I was hired here by my boss, his
- 3:04Speaker 3: mentality was, we want you to be growth oriented here, right,
- 3:07Speaker 3: there are different opportunities that we're going to provide you
- 3:09Speaker 3: with as your time progresses here in Saint Louis. And
- 3:12Speaker 3: you know, this had kind of been a small conversation
- 3:14Speaker 3: that grew into a bigger one as one of those opportunities.
- 3:17Speaker 3: And he said, you know, we're going to check in
- 3:18Speaker 3: with the Cardinals see what they think, obviously, and once
- 3:21Speaker 3: we got their blessing, Larry, my boss was like, hey,
- 3:23Speaker 3: you're good to go. We're going to give you four
- 3:25Speaker 3: games this spring. And my mind was kind of blown.
- 3:28Speaker 3: I mean, I knew that this was a thought process
- 3:30Speaker 3: from my early time here, but also at the same time,
- 3:33Speaker 3: it's like, you never really know what kind of opportunities
- 3:36Speaker 3: you're going to get. You just got to kind of
- 3:38Speaker 3: make the most of them when you get them. And yeah,
- 3:40Speaker 3: getting that calling and I freaked out.
- 3:42Speaker 2: I called.
- 3:42Speaker 3: I was with my boyfriend and his family in Australia
- 3:45Speaker 3: and I kind of freaked out in the car.
- 3:47Speaker 2: I called my parents. They were super happy for me,
- 3:49Speaker 2: my brother too, and.
- 3:50Speaker 3: It was just a surreal experience to be able to say, like,
- 3:53Speaker 3: this is something that you know, I've thought about doing
- 3:56Speaker 3: for a really long time. The fact that I'm finally
- 3:58Speaker 3: going to be able to do it, yeah, okay, big
- 4:01Speaker 3: girl stuff.
- 4:02Speaker 2: It was big girl stuff. And I remember seeing.
- 4:05Speaker 1: You walk onto the field at Roger Dean the morning
- 4:07Speaker 1: before you're broadcast, cool, calm, collected, rocking the heck out
- 4:10Speaker 1: of that polo. We actually, I think, need to have
- 4:12Speaker 1: a separate, separate conversation women that work in sports.
- 4:15Speaker 2: We need more than just a polo. Okay, we need
- 4:18Speaker 2: more variety.
- 4:19Speaker 1: So if you're listening out there, every sports company in
- 4:22Speaker 1: the world, give us more options, no more polos. But
- 4:24Speaker 1: you looked great, and it was it was so great
- 4:27Speaker 1: to see, like, not just as someone that I respect
- 4:29Speaker 1: very much and someone that you know, even before we
- 4:31Speaker 1: worked in the same market. I was like, yeah, this
- 4:33Speaker 1: girl rocks, but now is a close friend of mine.
- 4:35Speaker 1: To just see you walk up and not look rattled
- 4:39Speaker 1: at all. And I'm not going to speak for you
- 4:40Speaker 1: on what was maybe going on under the surface, but
- 4:42Speaker 1: I think like the biggest tell of where you are
- 4:45Speaker 1: as a professional and how you were going to crush
- 4:47Speaker 1: this opportunity was five minutes before you're on air. You
- 4:50Speaker 1: scare me in the press box because you're crouching behind
- 4:53Speaker 1: my seat just eating an apple casual, Like, hey, what
- 4:55Speaker 1: are you doing?
- 4:55Speaker 2: And I'm like, what are you doing?
- 4:57Speaker 1: Should you be on the air? And it was That's
- 4:59Speaker 1: what I knew you were going to be fine. What
- 5:01Speaker 1: was that when the game started?
- 5:03Speaker 2: What was it like?
- 5:03Speaker 1: And what was the lead up with with Brad Thompson
- 5:05Speaker 1: And did he tell you anything, give you any advice?
- 5:08Speaker 2: Little? Did you know?
- 5:09Speaker 3: By the way, that was the first time I'd eaten
- 5:10Speaker 3: in like four days of that apple? Yeah, exactly, No,
- 5:14Speaker 3: it was. I mean, it was the situation where I
- 5:16Speaker 3: called as many people as I could. I got Jenny
- 5:18Speaker 3: Kavanar on the phone. She's a really good friend, and
- 5:20Speaker 3: got advice from her, and she's like, listen, I've messed
- 5:23Speaker 3: up before, you're gonna mess up.
- 5:24Speaker 2: Just keep going. You've earned this opportunity.
- 5:27Speaker 3: This is for all the young women out there, like
- 5:29Speaker 3: you know, obviously that's not to tell you that there's
- 5:31Speaker 3: a lot of pressure, but this is a situation where
- 5:33Speaker 3: you're like, we're women and we you know, deserve this
- 5:36Speaker 3: representation and representation matters, So you know, go out there
- 5:40Speaker 3: and absolutely have a ball. I called Chip Carry because
- 5:43Speaker 3: he is, I mean, to me, the legendary announcer for
- 5:45Speaker 3: the Cardinals. And I'm like, what advice do you have
- 5:47Speaker 3: for me?
- 5:47Speaker 2: Help me out?
- 5:48Speaker 3: What do you got And he basically said the same
- 5:49Speaker 3: thing that Joe Buck told him, which is like, in
- 5:51Speaker 3: your mind, you're going to build it up like this
- 5:53Speaker 3: big thing.
- 5:54Speaker 2: It's going to happen, and.
- 5:55Speaker 3: Then it's gonna be over and you're gonna go back
- 5:57Speaker 3: to your every day life and everything is going to
- 5:58Speaker 3: go back to normal, right, And that's exactly how it
- 6:00Speaker 3: played out. I mean, Chip was one hundred percent correct.
- 6:03Speaker 3: It built up as this big thing in my mind.
- 6:05Speaker 3: But once I got on the mic and once I
- 6:06Speaker 3: sat down next to Brad, Who've worked with for a
- 6:08Speaker 3: couple of years now, I felt so comfortable.
- 6:11Speaker 2: And he put me at ease and he.
- 6:12Speaker 3: You know, as everyone was saying, just lean on Brad
- 6:14Speaker 3: because he's the guy who's been there and been doing
- 6:17Speaker 3: this for several years and he's so great at what
- 6:18Speaker 3: he does. Make sure that you know you lean on
- 6:21Speaker 3: him and he'll help you through any of the tough innings.
- 6:23Speaker 3: And you know, we did just that. It was a
- 6:25Speaker 3: rough spring training game. To be honest, it wasn't one
- 6:28Speaker 3: of those like easy, you know, two hour, fifteen minute.
- 6:30Speaker 2: Games, but we got through it.
- 6:32Speaker 3: And the fact that I was down there and got
- 6:33Speaker 3: that experience at rogersine Chevallet, I got to see the
- 6:36Speaker 3: players and interact with them and weave some of those
- 6:38Speaker 3: storylines from talking to them into the broadcast really helped. Yeah,
- 6:43Speaker 3: I think once it was over, I felt relieved. I
- 6:45Speaker 3: felt like there was a lot of improvement that I
- 6:47Speaker 3: could have worked on, but I felt overall pretty proud
- 6:50Speaker 3: of myself because the amount of work that I've done
- 6:52Speaker 3: in order to get here, it's starting to pay off.
- 6:55Speaker 3: And then you know, now I'm humbling myself in my
- 6:58Speaker 3: living room by calling these games on mute to practice
- 7:01Speaker 3: over and over and over again to get better, right,
- 7:03Speaker 3: because that's how you do it, And then hopefully I
- 7:06Speaker 3: just grow with every single game I do.
- 7:08Speaker 2: Well.
- 7:08Speaker 1: I'm so proud of you. It really was an excellent broadcast.
- 7:10Speaker 1: Spring training broadcast are tough. There are like twice as
- 7:13Speaker 1: many players, there are double numbers.
- 7:15Speaker 2: Pitchers can come back in. If you're an you can
- 7:18Speaker 2: like look.
- 7:19Speaker 1: Up and all of a sudden be like, wait, he's
- 7:20Speaker 1: back in the game, right, that's allowed. But you and
- 7:23Speaker 1: Brad's are a fantastic job. And again, I'm just so
- 7:24Speaker 1: proud of you. What an exciting opportunity, and it's going
- 7:27Speaker 1: to be great to have another season with you by
- 7:28Speaker 1: my side as my partner in crime.
- 7:31Speaker 2: We need each other, we know that. Yeah. Absolutely.
- 7:34Speaker 3: The girl gang that we have with the Cardinals is
- 7:36Speaker 3: so strong, and it's the fact that we can all
- 7:38Speaker 3: lean on each other is great. So I really appreciate that, Katie,
- 7:40Speaker 3: and also honestly for all the young girls watching like
- 7:43Speaker 3: this is something that we didn't really really have growing up,
- 7:45Speaker 3: so to be able to provide that for them. I
- 7:47Speaker 3: got a, you know, a message from a father who
- 7:49Speaker 3: was like, my young daughter was listening to the spring
- 7:51Speaker 3: training game and was like, Daddy, there's a female voice
- 7:53Speaker 3: calling this game. I could do that too. That literally
- 7:56Speaker 3: makes it all worth it.
- 7:57Speaker 1: It does, absolutely, So this one's for the girls, yeah,
- 8:01Speaker 1: because you just never know, and you might meet your
- 8:03Speaker 1: best friends along the way.
- 8:04Speaker 2: I know I did.
- 8:06Speaker 1: All right, let's talk. Let's talk some Cardinals baseball before
- 8:08Speaker 1: you get so emotional and everyone's cameras halfway through it,
- 8:13Speaker 1: a little bit of news we're recording this Tuesday night.
- 8:15Speaker 1: This episode will go live Wednesday morning, right before the
- 8:18Speaker 1: Cardinals will have an update on Jordan Walker, who left
- 8:20Speaker 1: Tuesday's split squad game against the Nationals with some left
- 8:23Speaker 1: knee pain in the third inning. I'm not in Jupiter, obviously.
- 8:26Speaker 1: That is not a beach behind me. That's my apartment window.
- 8:28Speaker 1: I'll be back on Sunday. But watching the broadcast on TV,
- 8:33Speaker 1: look like my first opinion was just that it was
- 8:35Speaker 1: a little bit of an awkward route from Jordan, and
- 8:37Speaker 1: then looking back at it a second time, you could
- 8:39Speaker 1: see his knee kind of get stuck somewhere.
- 8:41Speaker 2: Maybe it looked like a divot or a hole.
- 8:43Speaker 1: Again, I'm not there, so I'm going off the broadcast,
- 8:45Speaker 1: but you can see like a clear WinCE in his face.
- 8:49Speaker 1: You hope it's not anything serious, obviously, that would be
- 8:51Speaker 1: devastating for the Cardinals and Jordan Walker. They did classify
- 8:54Speaker 1: it for Cardinals pr as left knee pain. He went
- 8:57Speaker 1: and he's sent uh set forward some image and the
- 9:00Speaker 1: Cardinals will have an update tomorrow. But according to Derek Gould,
- 9:04Speaker 1: who was there in West Palm, said that Ali Marmel
- 9:07Speaker 1: said this was out of an abundance of precaution certainly
- 9:09Speaker 1: makes sense when you think about how important Jordan Walker
- 9:12Speaker 1: is to this club. Alexa, Assuming and we're keeping our
- 9:14Speaker 1: fingers crossed, we all know how I feel about Jordan
- 9:17Speaker 1: Walker on this podcast. Assuming everything is all right with Jordan,
- 9:21Speaker 1: what do you think is gonna be big for him
- 9:22Speaker 1: this year to succeed?
- 9:25Speaker 3: I mean I was gonna say consistency, and now I'm saying, hell,
- 9:29Speaker 3: you know, it's obviously a big concern if he's not
- 9:32Speaker 3: able to be out there on the field. One of
- 9:34Speaker 3: the big storylines going into this season is the dramatic
- 9:38Speaker 3: improvement that they need to see from Jordan Walker, Nolan
- 9:40Speaker 3: Gorman and Large new bar Although three of those guys
- 9:43Speaker 3: to take a big step forward. And you know, Ali
- 9:46Speaker 3: Marmel talked about it today when they were discussed to
- 9:48Speaker 3: get on the broadcast and saying, if those three guys do,
- 9:50Speaker 3: we're going to be a really fun team. If they don't,
- 9:52Speaker 3: we might not. And he was very frank about it,
- 9:55Speaker 3: and you know, there's really other way to say it
- 9:58Speaker 3: or to twist it. Those are the three guys that
- 10:01Speaker 3: you really need to have big season. So, yeah, fingers
- 10:04Speaker 3: crossed for Jordan Walker, But I think overall, watching his
- 10:07Speaker 3: work in the outfield, and he's worked with Jose Kendo,
- 10:10Speaker 3: and he's worked with John Jay and the different coaches
- 10:12Speaker 3: that he's worked with in order to improve himself in
- 10:14Speaker 3: the outfield, You've seen remarkable jumps, leaps and bounds throughout
- 10:19Speaker 3: his career. Defensively, because obviously it was a struggle when
- 10:22Speaker 3: they first put him out there in the outfield, but
- 10:24Speaker 3: watching him improve there, you obviously he's gonna be a
- 10:27Speaker 3: big piece for this outfield this season. And offensively too.
- 10:30Speaker 3: You know, obviously they tweaked a swing several times last year,
- 10:33Speaker 3: but I do think that there's some consistency with a
- 10:36Speaker 3: new hitting coach this year too, And there's a different philosophy,
- 10:39Speaker 3: which is basically saying, there are several different guys who
- 10:41Speaker 3: learn in different ways, and they hear what you're saying
- 10:44Speaker 3: to them in a different way as well, and I
- 10:46Speaker 3: have to learn that language brand around the new hitting
- 10:47Speaker 3: coach says. And when that's the kind of approach that
- 10:51Speaker 3: you come to a new team with, which is basically
- 10:53Speaker 3: like I'm going to learn each guy's philosophy and how
- 10:57Speaker 3: they hear me, it really creates this kind of a
- 11:00Speaker 3: culture of community and consistency that I think that.
- 11:03Speaker 2: Jordan Walker's really going to benefit from.
- 11:05Speaker 3: So, yeah, fingers crossed and he's okay, but I think
- 11:08Speaker 3: both offensively and defensively, he takes a huge step forward
- 11:10Speaker 3: this year.
- 11:11Speaker 2: I certainly hope. So.
- 11:12Speaker 1: I mean, we've you and I have talked about this
- 11:14Speaker 1: at length, So certainly the City of Saint Louis has
- 11:17Speaker 1: discussed Jordan Walker's up and down roller coaster starts to
- 11:20Speaker 1: his career. He's just twenty two years old, still a
- 11:22Speaker 1: lot of potential there. I know there's been a lot
- 11:24Speaker 1: of clamor if you will, over the lack of offense
- 11:28Speaker 1: to start the spring. I would like to remind everybody
- 11:30Speaker 1: it is spring. It's okay, take a deep breath. But
- 11:33Speaker 1: I think one thing that was really, really a noteworthy
- 11:36Speaker 1: about Jordan Walker was the exit bulos.
- 11:39Speaker 2: Yeah, he's two for fourteen coming into today, not great,
- 11:42Speaker 2: not what.
- 11:42Speaker 1: You want, but the batted ball profile, the consistency of
- 11:45Speaker 1: the ball in the air, that's what really matters when
- 11:47Speaker 1: we're evaluating Jordan Walker.
- 11:49Speaker 2: With Nolan Gorman.
- 11:50Speaker 1: On the other hand, what matters is if he's making
- 11:52Speaker 1: contact at all, and that's going to take some time too.
- 11:55Speaker 2: Like you mentioned.
- 11:56Speaker 1: Same with Lars Newfar who looked good today, drove in
- 11:59Speaker 1: a couple of runs out West Palm. It all comes
- 12:02Speaker 1: down to, look, you have a brand new hitting coach
- 12:04Speaker 1: with Brent Brown, and yes there are some returners Ba,
- 12:07Speaker 1: Brandon Allen, Patty Elkins, they returned from last year's hitting
- 12:09Speaker 1: coach staff, but it's a different message, it's a different voice,
- 12:13Speaker 1: a different communication, like you said, and it's going to
- 12:15Speaker 1: take some time to implement all of that into game results.
- 12:20Speaker 1: With that being said, what's your big thing for Gorman
- 12:23Speaker 1: this year?
- 12:25Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean for him, we know he has that
- 12:27Speaker 3: power and the fact that you know, everyone keeps expecting
- 12:31Speaker 3: him to figure out these holes in his swings, so
- 12:34Speaker 3: to speak.
- 12:35Speaker 2: It really does.
- 12:36Speaker 3: Speak to the fact that he is still so young
- 12:38Speaker 3: in this game and everyone's rushing him to a level
- 12:40Speaker 3: that we need to pump the brakes on and make
- 12:42Speaker 3: sure that there's a level of understanding from his side
- 12:46Speaker 3: and the coach's side where everyone's getting on the same
- 12:48Speaker 3: page and evaluating what he needs to do and then.
- 12:51Speaker 2: Working towards that.
- 12:52Speaker 3: But I think for Nolan Gorman, we know he's capable
- 12:55Speaker 3: of these huge swings, these monster not only numbers, but
- 13:01Speaker 3: the fact that he's able to really, you know, put
- 13:04Speaker 3: some pressure on an opposing picture. When you have him
- 13:07Speaker 3: in that lineup, it's gonna be a situation where if
- 13:11Speaker 3: he figures it out again, it's gonna be scary. But
- 13:14Speaker 3: when you pair that with a guy like Jordan Walker,
- 13:17Speaker 3: where you have both these guys where you know you
- 13:19Speaker 3: need them to grow in different ways, but you know
- 13:21Speaker 3: you need that growth, it does say to them, especially
- 13:25Speaker 3: because they're going to get these you know, reps to
- 13:27Speaker 3: these younger guys and they have this longer leash, in
- 13:30Speaker 3: this longer run way, it does say to them, we
- 13:32Speaker 3: trust in you, we believe in you. And the confidence
- 13:34Speaker 3: that this organization is putting in these younger guys to
- 13:37Speaker 3: be able to say you're the future, and we're here
- 13:38Speaker 3: to figure that out right now, I think really leaves
- 13:41Speaker 3: it up to them. Right it's in Nolan Gorman's hands
- 13:44Speaker 3: to figure out exactly what it is in terms of
- 13:47Speaker 3: his growth that he wants to work on. But you
- 13:50Speaker 3: know his potential, you know his ceiling, it's through the
- 13:53Speaker 3: roof because he has that huge power, and so just
- 13:57Speaker 3: being able to put that all together and making sure
- 13:59Speaker 3: that if this lineup that's gonna be something that's really
- 14:02Speaker 3: up to him.
- 14:04Speaker 1: It's a sinker swim season for many players, but Jordan
- 14:07Speaker 1: Walker and Nolan Gorman specifically, it seems, or at least that's
- 14:10Speaker 1: the messaging the Cardinals.
- 14:12Speaker 2: Have gone out.
- 14:13Speaker 1: There a lot to talk about with this Cardinals squad still,

- 15:20Speaker 2: I love Sush.
- 15:21Speaker 3: I love Scott so much. Scott is my brother from
- 15:23Speaker 3: another mother. We work together at m WOB network and
- 15:25Speaker 3: we host a show called The Rundown and I miss
- 15:28Speaker 3: him every day. He's so excellent what he does, so
- 15:30Speaker 3: chill and so like you're just hanging out on the
- 15:32Speaker 3: couch talking sports.
- 15:34Speaker 2: So shout out to to Scott and Eric too.
- 15:36Speaker 1: Scott's the best, Eric's the best. Eric was a real
- 15:38Speaker 1: trooper at Cardinals camp.
- 15:39Speaker 2: I was a bad teammate.
- 15:41Speaker 1: Foul territory came to Jupiter the day I left, So
- 15:45Speaker 1: I left him high and dry, and I'm so sorry.
- 15:47Speaker 2: Betsy. I owe you one. I'll get you a Fredbird hat.
- 15:49Speaker 2: That way you me and AJ could match. That's the
- 15:53Speaker 2: way to make up for it. Yeah, I think so totally.
- 15:56Speaker 1: So you mentioned a quote from Allie Marvel today on
- 15:58Speaker 1: the broadcast of FIT Sports Network Midwest crushed it, and
- 16:03Speaker 1: I thought was really important the honesty of you know,
- 16:06Speaker 1: if new bar Gorman and Walker succeed, it's going to
- 16:09Speaker 1: be a special team. If they don't, maybe not so hot.
- 16:13Speaker 1: And I appreciate that candor because I think we can
- 16:15Speaker 1: all see it no matter how closely you cover the Cardinals.
- 16:17Speaker 1: It's clear like these three are going to make or
- 16:19Speaker 1: break the Cardinals season. What do you think the ceiling
- 16:22Speaker 1: is for this Cardinals team? And just in your opinion,
- 16:25Speaker 1: how important are those three guys?
- 16:27Speaker 2: Well, I mean, think about it.
- 16:28Speaker 3: They were six games out of a playoff spot last year, right,
- 16:31Speaker 3: and so obviously it was a tough season. To miss
- 16:34Speaker 3: out on the playoffs back to back years is not,
- 16:36Speaker 3: you know, typical Cardinals baseball. But coming off of a
- 16:39Speaker 3: really rough twenty twenty three, they decided to shure up
- 16:42Speaker 3: what the main issue they believed was, which was their
- 16:45Speaker 3: starting pitching. Right, So they bring in these veterans, and
- 16:47Speaker 3: the veterans end up having a really strong season, but
- 16:49Speaker 3: the offense falters. Now obviously, with Paul Goldschmidt to going
- 16:54Speaker 3: to the Yankees, that's going to be a huge loss
- 16:57Speaker 3: for you. But if you have these younger guys who
- 16:59Speaker 3: and as you saw Katie when you walked into the clubhouse,
- 17:01Speaker 3: they've changed a lot of their body you know, mechanics
- 17:05Speaker 3: in terms of their biometrics to you know, make some
- 17:08Speaker 3: win game weight in the off season game muscle.
- 17:10Speaker 2: So did Victor Scott.
- 17:11Speaker 3: A lot of these guys are changing the way that
- 17:12Speaker 3: they eat, They're changing the way that.
- 17:14Speaker 2: They work out. They they care deeply.
- 17:17Speaker 3: About this Cardinals organization and about having success, and they
- 17:21Speaker 3: realize it's all out there in front of them. It's
- 17:24Speaker 3: their opportunity for the taking. So now you want to
- 17:26Speaker 3: look at the offense. You're taking a look at the
- 17:27Speaker 3: lineup and you're wondering where you're going to get that
- 17:29Speaker 3: production from. Well, it really is about these guys stepping
- 17:33Speaker 3: up and basically.
- 17:34Speaker 2: Owning their own game to.
- 17:36Speaker 3: Be able to make those you know, big moves. Listen
- 17:40Speaker 3: to me, the division is kind of wide open. I
- 17:42Speaker 3: don't think that anyone in the division really made you know,
- 17:45Speaker 3: monster moves.
- 17:46Speaker 2: Yeah, the Brewers are still the Brewers.
- 17:47Speaker 3: But you got the Cubs and they made a couple
- 17:50Speaker 3: of additions, but nothing huge that is kind of earth shattering,
- 17:52Speaker 3: that says, here we go on paper, it looks like
- 17:54Speaker 3: they're running away with the division. I mean, the Cardinals
- 17:56Speaker 3: really have a chance if they want to go get it.
- 17:58Speaker 3: And you know, you still have Wilson Couldchaerir, who is
- 18:00Speaker 3: such an offensive threat. I think he's going to do
- 18:02Speaker 3: excellent work there at first base. He's working with Stubby
- 18:04Speaker 3: Clapp and jose A Kendo. You still, by the way,
- 18:07Speaker 3: had Nolan Arnatto, remember he finished as an MVP finalist
- 18:10Speaker 3: just a couple.
- 18:10Speaker 2: Of years ago. I think that being on this.
- 18:13Speaker 3: Team, especially to at least start the year, I mean,
- 18:15Speaker 3: we have no idea what's going to happen as the
- 18:17Speaker 3: year progresses. But you have a ten time Gold Glove winner,
- 18:21Speaker 3: eight time All Star Bilan Arnatto is one of the
- 18:23Speaker 3: best players in all of baseball, a future Hall of
- 18:27Speaker 3: Famer on your roster. So for me, I think that
- 18:30Speaker 3: there's a lot of upside. And with all the talk
- 18:33Speaker 3: of you know, we heard obviously President of Baseball John
- 18:36Speaker 3: A Baseball Operations John mose Loach this offseason that it
- 18:38Speaker 3: was priority one, two and three to trade him, right.
- 18:40Speaker 2: But that doesn't account for the fact that he's not traded.
- 18:43Speaker 2: He's still here. So he's going to make a huge impact.
- 18:46Speaker 3: So it's little things like that where I do feel
- 18:49Speaker 3: like you can't count this team out one because of
- 18:52Speaker 3: the division, two because you do have experience. It's not
- 18:55Speaker 3: all you know, young guns who are just Joe I
- 18:57Speaker 3: looking around trying to figure out the league. They've got
- 19:00Speaker 3: a couple of years, or at least a year under
- 19:01Speaker 3: their belt to have figured it out. And I think
- 19:04Speaker 3: that the hungry mentality that they've displayed so far. And
- 19:07Speaker 3: Olli talks about it, He's like, this is one of
- 19:09Speaker 3: my favorite groups this offseason. These guys are ready to
- 19:12Speaker 3: get after it. They're absorbing everything like sponges. And for me,
- 19:15Speaker 3: that's what I love about managing so much because I
- 19:18Speaker 3: get to relate to a lot of these younger players
- 19:19Speaker 3: in a different way. It was a lot of fun
- 19:21Speaker 3: for me to be down there and see how that
- 19:23Speaker 3: mentality is playing out in the field.
- 19:26Speaker 2: Yeah, you make a ton of good points.
- 19:27Speaker 1: And I had a question from an athletic subscriber and
- 19:30Speaker 1: a mailbag we're running tomorrow about looking for a silver
- 19:32Speaker 1: lining for this club, and I would agree with you.
- 19:34Speaker 1: I actually did reference the division and made all the
- 19:36Speaker 1: points that you just said, because we're just like so alike.
- 19:39Speaker 2: But it's true.
- 19:39Speaker 1: Right. Look, there's a lot of fan apathy and frustration
- 19:43Speaker 1: over the mixed messaging of the off season. We talked
- 19:45Speaker 1: about it and last week's episode with Aj Prasinski. The
- 19:48Speaker 1: Cardinals from an organization standpoint, are stuck in the middle.
- 19:52Speaker 1: You know what can help change that is the players
- 19:55Speaker 1: and the player's performance. And I think there is reasonabili
- 19:58Speaker 1: that these players can take multiple strides aside from the
- 20:01Speaker 1: three that we've spent most of the episode talking about.
- 20:04Speaker 2: Contraras. He looks fine at first base.
- 20:07Speaker 1: Look, there's gonna be some growing pains that we'll fix
- 20:09Speaker 1: with reps and no, he's no Paul Goldschmidt, but that
- 20:12Speaker 1: bat alone, I think is going to make up for it.
- 20:14Speaker 2: Nolan Arnauto, you want to talk about someone who came.
- 20:16Speaker 1: In completely different. He's slimmed down, He looks great. Our
- 20:19Speaker 1: friend Bernie Miiklos told me, look at the bad speed.
- 20:21Speaker 1: The difference in the bad speed from Nolan already in
- 20:24Speaker 1: just a few Great Fruit League games.
- 20:26Speaker 2: Not only that, but his.
- 20:27Speaker 1: Whole swing mechanics looks a little bit Dare I say
- 20:30Speaker 1: like twenty twenty two Nolan Arnatto.
- 20:32Speaker 2: He looks ready to go Mason win Is he going
- 20:34Speaker 2: to take that next step? I believe so.
- 20:36Speaker 1: I think Mason winkinsldify himself as the next base of
- 20:39Speaker 1: the franchise with another good season. Clearly they want to
- 20:42Speaker 1: build around him. And then you look at the rotation.
- 20:44Speaker 1: Sonny Gray is back. He's an ace on almost any club,
- 20:47Speaker 1: unless you're the Dodgers when you have like eighteen aces anyway, right,
- 20:50Speaker 1: And yes, I understand the need and the desire from
- 20:53Speaker 1: fans to want to see people like Andre Polante, Michael McGreevy,
- 20:56Speaker 1: Quinn Matthews at some point. But the Cardinals believe by
- 20:59Speaker 1: setting out with a mostly veteran rotation they're giving themselves
- 21:03Speaker 1: the best chance to get off on the right foot
- 21:05Speaker 1: in April because they've relying on experience and guys like
- 21:08Speaker 1: Eric Betty know what they need to do to start
- 21:10Speaker 1: the season and start the tone. Look how we started
- 21:12Speaker 1: for the White Sox last year. He was an All Star.
- 21:14Speaker 1: Miles Michael has two down years. I understand the fans
- 21:16Speaker 1: skepticism there, but he's still eats intings and that's going
- 21:19Speaker 1: to be important as you're preserving these young arms which
- 21:21Speaker 1: are most likely going to make up a bulk of
- 21:23Speaker 1: the bullpen, and I think there if the Cardinals can
- 21:26Speaker 1: just hover around five hundred for April, that will do
- 21:29Speaker 1: a lot in terms of team morale and fan morale,
- 21:32Speaker 1: and then maybe we're having a different conversation come they
- 21:34Speaker 1: but they have to get their first And if you're
- 21:37Speaker 1: a player, you can't let the disarray of the organization,
- 21:40Speaker 1: the transition that maybe the reset that maybe not.
- 21:43Speaker 2: You can't let that impact you.
- 21:44Speaker 1: That's our job is media to talk about the players
- 21:46Speaker 1: can change that narrative themselves just by playing winning baseball.
- 21:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 21:49Speaker 3: Absolutely, And Katy, you make a great point about the
- 21:51Speaker 3: pitching in terms of them going with a veteran rotation.
- 21:54Speaker 3: But they do have these young guys who have kind
- 21:57Speaker 3: of made some names for themselves in spring. I mean,
- 22:00Speaker 3: while Matthew libertore he's already a name for the Cardinals,
- 22:02Speaker 3: but he looks confidence heck out there on the mounds
- 22:04Speaker 3: like he just looks ready to go.
- 22:06Speaker 2: McGreevy has been really great.
- 22:07Speaker 3: I love the work the Polante put in in the
- 22:09Speaker 3: off season watching these guys, these younger guys too, who
- 22:13Speaker 3: are also hungry and potentially, you know, earn their way
- 22:15Speaker 3: into this rotation at some point if something happens. It
- 22:18Speaker 3: is really kind of a fun competition to focus on too.
- 22:21Speaker 3: So there's so much about this team. And again, if
- 22:24Speaker 3: we were talking about you know, the NL West, I
- 22:26Speaker 3: would feel differently about it, but we're not. We're talking
- 22:28Speaker 3: about a division that is super winnable, only six games
- 22:31Speaker 3: out last year, that's made up like that in the spring,
- 22:34Speaker 3: you know, and especially because you forget that they didn't
- 22:37Speaker 3: have Wilson gacheris their biggest back for a huge chunk
- 22:39Speaker 3: last year because he broke his arm. Right, So that
- 22:42Speaker 3: would of I mean, you could would have should a
- 22:44Speaker 3: all day long, right, But because you're going to have
- 22:46Speaker 3: a healthy Cancaris and at that and that lineup all
- 22:48Speaker 3: season long, fingers crossed it. It adds those depth pieces,
- 22:52Speaker 3: those you know, the full round, you know, well rounded
- 22:57Speaker 3: roster that you're looking for from this team.
- 22:58Speaker 2: So I'm actually pretty excited.
- 23:00Speaker 3: I know, people, you know, Cardinals fans, listen, you're used
- 23:03Speaker 3: to a lot of us. I get it, but this
- 23:06Speaker 3: year I think it's a lets the kids play, Let
- 23:08Speaker 3: the kids play, and let the kids play is so
- 23:09Speaker 3: fun because these kids.
- 23:11Speaker 2: They really know what they're doing. And you know what,
- 23:13Speaker 2: when you come into something with your expectations on the floor,
- 23:16Speaker 2: it's really hard to be disappointed. So mytions are not
- 23:20Speaker 2: on the floor. Don't You're a believer.
- 23:22Speaker 1: Your believer, I Trevor is a believer. I am not
- 23:26Speaker 1: quite there, but I think that's just again understanding both
- 23:31Speaker 1: sides of the frustration from the organization and how it's
- 23:34Speaker 1: being run. You know, there are not a lot of
- 23:36Speaker 1: organizations that would do this transition year, but the work
- 23:40Speaker 1: that's being done in the minor leagues is super important.
- 23:42Speaker 2: We have some stuff on that up with the athletic look.
- 23:45Speaker 2: I think the right changes are being made in the
- 23:47Speaker 2: minor league system.
- 23:48Speaker 1: You will eventually see them in the major leagues, ideally
- 23:50Speaker 1: if they do it correctly. And with all the focus
- 23:52Speaker 1: on the major leagues this year, You're exactly right about
- 23:54Speaker 1: the division. This is not the NL West, this is
- 23:56Speaker 1: not the ALE East, this is the n L Central
- 23:59Speaker 1: and year this is like the cop out, and fans
- 24:02Speaker 1: get frustrated. I get it, because they're like, we're tired
- 24:04Speaker 1: of competing, allegedly competing, being gasoline to think we're competing
- 24:08Speaker 1: some of the more dramatic ones because you're because they're
- 24:12Speaker 1: in contention in the NL Central which is much different
- 24:15Speaker 1: than being in contention in the National League in general.
- 24:18Speaker 1: But all you have to do is stay relevant, stay
- 24:22Speaker 1: in that pack, because you're right, six games gets made
- 24:24Speaker 1: up like that in baseball.
- 24:25Speaker 2: That's why they play one hundred and sixty two. So
- 24:27Speaker 2: we can have all this drama now.
- 24:29Speaker 1: If the Cardinals stay in it, and this is such
- 24:32Speaker 1: a big hypothetical and I hate doing talking about July
- 24:34Speaker 1: in March, but if they stay in it, I can
- 24:37Speaker 1: absolutely see John Mozelax saying my last year screw that.
- 24:41Speaker 1: I would really like to try and compete and see
- 24:43Speaker 1: if they can. If playoff baseball can return to Bush Stadium,
- 24:46Speaker 1: It's been too long, Alexa. We came around the same time.
- 24:50Speaker 1: I think I was twenty one. You were twenty two, right, Yeah,
- 24:53Speaker 1: so when you when I joined the car or covering
- 24:55Speaker 1: the Cardinals at least, I was like every October, I'm
- 24:59Speaker 1: gonna be long and I'm going to cover postseason baseball,
- 25:02Speaker 1: like this is going to be great. I grew up
- 25:03Speaker 1: a Giants fan, so I loved October. It was the
- 25:07Speaker 1: best time. And I've covered three playoff games and all
- 25:10Speaker 1: three have been losses. I would like to experience winning
- 25:13Speaker 1: postseason games at some point.
- 25:15Speaker 2: I'm sure you would too.
- 25:16Speaker 3: Yeah, and you know I got to cover Albert Poolos's
- 25:19Speaker 3: home run chase, I got to cover Adam Wainright and
- 25:21Speaker 3: Yadi or Molina becoming the all time winningest battery mats.
- 25:25Speaker 2: You know, in memobi history.
- 25:27Speaker 3: There have been so many exciting moments here for me,
- 25:29Speaker 3: working with you know, a fan of Sports Network and
- 25:32Speaker 3: the Cardinals that we want more like you know, but
- 25:36Speaker 3: that's just how baseball fans are, and especially Cardinals fans
- 25:39Speaker 3: like keep it coming because this is what this town.
- 25:42Speaker 2: Is built on.
- 25:42Speaker 3: It's built on Cardinals baseball. So like, let's go out
- 25:45Speaker 3: there and have a really fun spring. And when you
- 25:47Speaker 3: do have young guys and splashes. I mean, Mason Win
- 25:49Speaker 3: has a cannon of an arm. You know, he has
- 25:51Speaker 3: more defensive run seats than any other short step in
- 25:54Speaker 3: the entire league. You go out there and watch this
- 25:56Speaker 3: guy play, show up to bush and watch he's better
- 25:58Speaker 3: than anyone else you're going to see. So you do have,
- 26:01Speaker 3: you know, elements to this team that are gonna kind of,
- 26:04Speaker 3: you know, really you know, be exciting this year and
- 26:06Speaker 3: kind of blow you away in a way that you know,
- 26:08Speaker 3: it's not just an average team being out there and
- 26:11Speaker 3: being told like, hey, you know, maybe we'll win, maybe
- 26:13Speaker 3: you won't. They're going out there and getting it there
- 26:16Speaker 3: all and they've got some real talent to be able
- 26:18Speaker 3: to do it.
- 26:19Speaker 2: I think.
- 26:19Speaker 1: So when we're getting closer and closer to figuring out
- 26:21Speaker 1: what that opening day roster will look like, the positions
- 26:23Speaker 1: that were still a little unclear are the positions that
- 26:26Speaker 1: we thought would be all off season long. The center
- 26:29Speaker 1: field battle is fascinating, and we talk about this every
- 26:32Speaker 1: episode because you know, here we are in March fourth
- 26:34Speaker 1: Opening day is March twenty seventh. Cardinals are still not
- 26:37Speaker 1: really all that close to figuring out how that's going
- 26:39Speaker 1: to shake out. The fringe players, if you will, the
- 26:43Speaker 1: bench players, because I think the Cardinals pretty much know
- 26:46Speaker 1: who's going to be starting where other than center field
- 26:48Speaker 1: across the diamond, who's going to take those last spots?
- 26:50Speaker 2: I think Alec Grilson is a lot to make the
- 26:51Speaker 2: opening day roster.
- 26:52Speaker 1: But what's this role going to be is someone are
- 26:54Speaker 1: the Cardinals going to go with Jose for me and
- 26:56Speaker 1: as Thomas a jac going to figure out a way
- 26:58Speaker 1: to stay on All these things are exciting, and then
- 27:01Speaker 1: once we get over the next two weeks, we're gonna
- 27:03Speaker 1: start piecing it together. Cuts are gonna start really meaning things. Games, performances,
- 27:07Speaker 1: We're all gonna be able to analyze them a little
- 27:09Speaker 1: bit more. Do you have anyone that's on your radar
- 27:12Speaker 1: to be like the twenty six man, Like, who are
- 27:15Speaker 1: we not talking about enough that you think has a
- 27:17Speaker 1: legitimate chance to make this club?
- 27:19Speaker 3: Luke and Baker, I mean, when that guy crushes it's
- 27:24Speaker 3: really unbelievable. I mean he's a monster of a human. Uh,
- 27:28Speaker 3: He's got other worldly power and when he swings the bat,
- 27:32Speaker 3: it is.
- 27:32Speaker 2: A no doubter every time. So potentially Luke and Baker's
- 27:36Speaker 2: bat off of the eventually talking about you needed some power,
- 27:40Speaker 2: that could be one for me.
- 27:41Speaker 3: But I think overall kind of watching how this outfield
- 27:45Speaker 3: is going to play out, and it's going to be
- 27:46Speaker 3: a task for Ali Marmal to figure out playing time
- 27:48Speaker 3: for these younger guys. Uh. And then what you put
- 27:51Speaker 3: out on a daily basis is offensive minded, defensive minded?
- 27:55Speaker 3: To you, a new foreign center field is a Sianni
- 27:57Speaker 3: Scott situation. Brendon ty of been you know time and
- 28:01Speaker 3: left field, but you know he's the utility Gold Glove
- 28:03Speaker 3: Award winner, So you can put him anywhere if you want,
- 28:05Speaker 3: and he'll you know, shine. I mean, you know, you're
- 28:07Speaker 3: pretty much got up in the middle with or at
- 28:10Speaker 3: least a short stop with Mason whim and then you
- 28:12Speaker 3: got or not at third, but you know kind of
- 28:14Speaker 3: watching how you know, Gorman takes him at bats and
- 28:17Speaker 3: play some third base. So it's just gonna be very
- 28:20Speaker 3: interesting too, and to me kind of intriguing because if
- 28:23Speaker 3: you run the same line up out there every single day,
- 28:27Speaker 3: what do we have to talk about, Katie, you know
- 28:29Speaker 3: what I mean. So it gives us a little bit
- 28:30Speaker 3: of like, hey, so who's playing today, Let's talk about it,
- 28:32Speaker 3: Let's let's figure this out, and you know, and then
- 28:35Speaker 3: it's really the best man.
- 28:36Speaker 2: You know, wins.
- 28:37Speaker 3: It's really it's a competition. And Ali suggests that every
- 28:40Speaker 3: single year. He said, if you play, you're in the lineup,
- 28:43Speaker 3: you know best that place, best glove place. So go
- 28:47Speaker 3: out there and earn your time, earn your spot, uh
- 28:49Speaker 3: and and go for some victories. I mean, that's really
- 28:52Speaker 3: what this team is about. In terms of these young guys,
- 28:54Speaker 3: they really have like as Mason Wynn described it, a
- 28:57Speaker 3: bit of an underdog mentality, and I kind of think
- 29:00Speaker 3: that's going to serve them this year.
- 29:02Speaker 2: I mean, think about it.
- 29:02Speaker 1: When you're a bunch of young guys that haven't really
- 29:05Speaker 1: like you, you're big leaguers, and I don't want to
- 29:06Speaker 1: diminish that. That's an accomplishment in itself, but as a
- 29:09Speaker 1: team over the last two years, the Cardinals haven't really
- 29:11Speaker 1: accomplished much of anything except a massive decline and the
- 29:14Speaker 1: view of the industry, if you are the young players
- 29:17Speaker 1: that are kind of connected to that in the beginning
- 29:19Speaker 1: of your career, aren't you mad? Aren't you like screw this?
- 29:22Speaker 1: Like more better than this? And I see it when
- 29:24Speaker 1: I walk in the clubhouse. I mean the way that
- 29:26Speaker 1: the guys are in there for doing their pregame work.
- 29:29Speaker 1: I get to the Roger Deine on a good day
- 29:31Speaker 1: when I'm running on time around seven thirty seven forty
- 29:33Speaker 1: five in the morning, and there are guys doing infield
- 29:35Speaker 1: drills with stubby clap John Jay, I mean every morning,
- 29:40Speaker 1: so they've been there for a while.
- 29:41Speaker 2: And then these young guys are some of the last
- 29:42Speaker 2: to leave.
- 29:43Speaker 1: Yeah, they do their three at bats and leave, but
- 29:45Speaker 1: there's no more five and fly here not even the
- 29:48Speaker 1: veterans are doing that. You're seeing Nolan, no Nada, Wilson,
- 29:50Speaker 1: Contraras in the Captain or Not Cactus Great Foo League games,
- 29:54Speaker 1: getting three four bats and leaving in the seventh and
- 29:57Speaker 1: eighth in March like early March. That is, you not
- 30:00Speaker 1: the custom for veterans with service time in spring training.
- 30:03Speaker 1: So I love all the points you make. I think
- 30:05Speaker 1: we were due for some optimism. The great point about
- 30:08Speaker 1: Luken Baker also because I think about how left headed
- 30:11Speaker 1: heavy this roster is. They could certainly benefit from some
- 30:13Speaker 1: right handed bats to a company Contraras, Arnatto, hopefully Walker
- 30:18Speaker 1: and ideally Herrera.
- 30:19Speaker 2: So we will see.
- 30:22Speaker 1: Still lots to be excited about the next two weeks,
- 30:24Speaker 1: Like we said, very important. I am looking forward to
- 30:27Speaker 1: hearing you call two more games, at least two more games,
- 30:30Speaker 1: all right, And you know where to find her. She's
- 30:31Speaker 1: at Fandual Sports Network Midwest and she's on Cardinal Territory.
- 30:35Speaker 2: And we were just so thrilled to have Alexa. Thank
- 30:37Speaker 2: you so much for taking time outur day to do this. Katie.
- 30:39Speaker 3: You crush this, by the way, as you always do,
- 30:41Speaker 3: but thank you so much for having me.
- 30:43Speaker 2: This is awesome. Just trying to be like you, Trevor Rosenthal.
- 30:46Speaker 1: He's back at the end of the week and we
- 30:49Speaker 1: have some fun stuff coming ahead. I don't want to
- 30:50Speaker 1: get too excited because I don't want to promote it
- 30:52Speaker 1: ever ruin the surprise, but just trust me, it's worth it.
- 30:54Speaker 1: We're back Thursday. I believe for Alexa Dat I'm Katie.
- 30:59Speaker 1: This is Cardinal Territory. Thank you so much for watching.
- 31:04Speaker 1: M H.
- 31:19Speaker 2: I think we're gonna win like an Emmy or something.
- 31:20Speaker 2: That was oh my god, let's put it on the reel.
- 31:23Speaker 2: That was, oh my god. It's still abarty, Okay, I'm
- 31:25Speaker 2: gonna have to fix that.
