- 0:40[SPEAKER_00]: Hey everybody Brian Smith here with the Iron Team series and your daily influence and today we are celebrating Labor Day and for most of us Labor Day is just a day off for not two labor and to spend some time with our families kind of the end of summer
- 1:04[SPEAKER_00]: And the beginning of for a lot of people to holiday season.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot of holidays packed into the next few months, but you know, it was created to be a reminder that.
- 1:16[SPEAKER_00]: every person matters.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_00]: And Labor Day really touches on what we do here at the IM team series.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_00]: And in all that we try to do at IA Business Advisors, which is a blift our clients, a blift the people that work with our clients and make their organizations.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_00]: So great because really that's what is so important in any business is the people.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_00]: And they all matter.
- 1:43[SPEAKER_00]: And that means you matter everywhere, not just to work, but wherever you find your influence, you matter.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_00]: And influence doesn't need to be measured to get really tired of hearing the term influencer and we should listen to people because they're influencers and
- 2:00[SPEAKER_00]: Most influencers that I see, well, still important because they can't entertain us, you know, are over celebrated.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_00]: We should be celebrating more that people that open businesses, run businesses, service in our days, where would we be?
- 2:16[SPEAKER_00]: without the people that keep our lights on or our toilets flushing or our cars running or whatever it is that supports you to do what you do in your everyday life.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_00]: And we take those things for granted and we should and Labor Day is about celebrating them, which means we celebrate ourselves because most of us are part of that cog that gear that keeps us moving forward, that keeps our communities moving.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_00]: forward.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_00]: And then it's also about the collaboration that we get when we come together individually, those shared values, those cultures that we create.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_00]: Most of us spend a third of our day with in our work environments and while many of us make a wall.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_00]: and do things alone and not work shoulder to shoulder all day.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_00]: We're still influenced by others and their influence matters.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_00]: Again, for them, it's the little things little to us or little to others, but it's really big like the person who processes our payroll checks or pays the bills.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_00]: the people that's scheduled us, the people that support us in whatever it is that we do.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_00]: And many of us, many of you go by day in and day out, being taken for granted and Labor days about celebrating ourselves, celebrating what you all do, celebrating that we all matter.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_00]: So as you enjoy your day, barbecuing, relaxing, napping,
- 3:47[SPEAKER_00]: golfing, whatever it is that you have done this Labor Day.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_00]: Remember that not only do you matter, but those that support you matter.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_00]: And as you move into the last part of the year, maybe take a moment, slow down.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_00]: and acknowledge the gratitude you have for those who support you, give them that nod, thank them an extra.
- 4:11[SPEAKER_00]: It goes a long way and you can improve people's lives through simple gratitude, simple gestures of kindness and simply honoring the effort they put forth and what they do for us and for themselves individually.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_00]: So I hope you have a great day.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_00]: I look forward to talking to you again soon on another daily influence podcast episode.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_00]: Have a great day.
