- 0:00SPEAKER_01: Welcome to Story Scaling by podcastvideos.com, where creators share the truth behind the content, the grind, and the growth.
- 0:15SPEAKER_00: When you're used to getting like a hundred views, two hundred views, three hundred views, like your people you know this closer, you like it.
- 0:23SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 0:24SPEAKER_00: Um, it's like, okay, that's fine.
- 0:26SPEAKER_00: But when it's like 1200 strangers, yeah, people you don't know interacting with you now, it's like, oh, interesting.
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: People are interested in this.
- 0:35SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 0:36SPEAKER_00: People care about this.
- 0:37SPEAKER_00: And it's not even that they may not just care.
- 0:39SPEAKER_00: Some people might just arguing, you know?
- 0:41SPEAKER_00: But it's like people that are that don't know you are seeing this.
- 0:44SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 0:45SPEAKER_00: And that's crazy.
- 0:46SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 0:46SPEAKER_01: You're making them feel something.
- 0:47SPEAKER_00: Something.
- 0:48SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 0:48SPEAKER_00: And then when you hit, you know, 10,000, it's like, that's wow, 10,000 people saw this.
- 0:55SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 0:55SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 0:56SPEAKER_00: Get a hundred thousand.
- 0:57SPEAKER_00: It's like okay.
- 1:00SPEAKER_01: And you have videos with a hundred thousand views on this.
- 1:02SPEAKER_01: Yes, I do.
- 1:03SPEAKER_00: You have a hundred thousand views, two hundred thousand views, five hundred thousand views, a million views.
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: It's like, it's just, it's so strange because then people that you don't know but are around you know who you are, which I know you've experienced for sure.
- 1:16SPEAKER_00: Sure, yeah.
- 1:17SPEAKER_00: Um, but I noticed immediately.
- 1:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: Like I'll have like videos back to back to back, 5,000 views, and my next video gets 700 views.
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: It's like that lose, that lose my audience.
- 1:34SPEAKER_01: Well, how do you how do we that's good?
- 1:36SPEAKER_01: Like that, I think that's the the reality that we all experience.
- 1:39SPEAKER_01: You know what I mean?
- 1:39SPEAKER_01: Like, man, this, I thought this was it.
- 1:41SPEAKER_01: I'm not popping because it only got like how do you how do you keep fighting through those moments where it might not be just one 700?
- 1:48SPEAKER_01: You might get a string of 700.
- 1:50SPEAKER_01: Oh, for sure.
- 1:51SPEAKER_01: You know, and so so how do you continue to show up even when it's like, dang, am I losing it?
- 1:56SPEAKER_00: I like my videos.
- 1:58SPEAKER_00: I like my own content.
- 1:59SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I enjoy my content.
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: When I'll go back through my page and watch my videos, I'm like, I'm tricky.
- 2:04SPEAKER_00: The videos are good.
- 2:06SPEAKER_00: This is just having a bad day.
- 2:07SPEAKER_01: Are you the person that watch your story over and over again?
- 2:10SPEAKER_00: I watch my story, but I watch my videos.
- 2:11SPEAKER_00: I watch my reels for sure.
- 2:13SPEAKER_00: I sometimes I just have an RP, I'm just listening to the song.
- 2:15SPEAKER_00: I'm like, that's a good video right there.
- 2:17SPEAKER_00: I'm like, this is it's just having a bad day.
- 2:19SPEAKER_00: My videos are good.
- 2:20SPEAKER_00: But there's been times I looked at my videos, I'm like, well, I mean, I see why that's not, you know, the best.
- 2:25SPEAKER_00: And then I just fix it.
- 2:26SPEAKER_00: Sometimes I'll um take the same video and download it and re-edit it and then post it again.
- 2:31SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 2:31SPEAKER_00: Like just because I'm like, that was a good video, but it could be better.
- 2:34SPEAKER_00: Now that I know more, I know I can edit it differently.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: But I mean, I just get those moments like I like my content.
- 2:39SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 2:40SPEAKER_00: And be being okay with changing it if I need to, but I like my content.
- 2:44SPEAKER_01: For real says, never take it personal, take it seriously and take care of it.
- 2:50SPEAKER_01: Ooh, for real.
- 2:51SPEAKER_01: You know, we'll give for real some of that, you know.
- 2:54SPEAKER_01: But I hear you saying that in your response is like, don't be too big to say, like, nah, this might not have hit the same, like, re-download, re-edit, re-upload.
- 3:03SPEAKER_01: Like, you're just getting reps in.
- 3:05SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 3:06SPEAKER_00: And it's your it's now your resume.
- 3:08SPEAKER_00: Like, when people first meet me, you know, I send them straight to my Instagram now because I'm like, that'll give you everything you need to know.
- 3:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's my resume.
- 3:18SPEAKER_00: And so people just can scroll through and scroll through.
- 3:20SPEAKER_00: So I might make as many videos as possible because it might not get a lot of views and it doesn't have to, it just has to get the right views.
- 3:27SPEAKER_00: So that's what you're that's what you're doing it for.
- 3:29SPEAKER_01: That's good.
- 3:30SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 3:30SPEAKER_01: When did you go from realizing like, oh man, it's not just a bunch of random people, like I'm building a community?
- 3:38SPEAKER_01: Like, when did you notice that?
- 3:39SPEAKER_01: Was it early on, or did that come a little bit later?
- 3:41SPEAKER_00: It definitely came later.
- 3:42SPEAKER_00: I've realized it in like moments where like someone will ask me to do um an event that I'm like, oh me?
- 3:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 3:50SPEAKER_00: I'm like, wow, that's really cool.
- 3:52SPEAKER_00: Like you asking me to do uh Bangin' the Gang.
- 3:54SPEAKER_00: I'm like, I really enjoy that.
- 3:55SPEAKER_00: I look forward to it every year.
- 3:56SPEAKER_00: And so it's like You available this year?
- 3:58SPEAKER_00: I am available this year.
- 3:59SPEAKER_00: You know, as long as it's not on September 25th, I'm available.
- 4:02SPEAKER_00: But I know you're talking about potentially in that time of year.
- 4:05SPEAKER_00: So just stay away from that date.
- 4:06SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 4:07SPEAKER_00: Um But um really, it was actually pretty recently.
- 4:12SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it was really recently, like a few months ago.
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: I was at Aldi in Bentonville, which I live 30 miles from Bentonville, and um I was just bebopping through Aldi, and the lady stopped me and she was like, Hey, are you the dirty Borisa?
- 4:25SPEAKER_01: And I was like, Wow.
- 4:26SPEAKER_00: I was with my kids, so I was like, Yes.
- 4:30SPEAKER_00: I am See, look, y'all.
- 4:32SPEAKER_01: I told y'all staying, right?
- 4:33SPEAKER_00: Uh they know, right?
- 4:34SPEAKER_00: They know now.
- 4:35SPEAKER_00: They're like, we Googled you, we saw.
- 4:37SPEAKER_00: I'm like, okay.
- 4:39SPEAKER_00: And uh, I was like, Yeah, I am.
- 4:41SPEAKER_00: She's like, Oh my gosh, I follow you.
- 4:42SPEAKER_00: My name is you know, I was saying her name, but you know, I follow you, I really enjoy your videos, and da da da da.
- 4:47SPEAKER_00: I was like, okay, cool.
- 4:48SPEAKER_00: Thank you so much.
- 4:48SPEAKER_00: It's nice to meet you.
- 4:50SPEAKER_00: She messaged me like maybe like a few weeks later on Instagram, and she was like, Hey, this is da-da-da.
- 4:56SPEAKER_00: I'm like, Oh, yeah, we met it all the way I remember you.
- 4:58SPEAKER_00: And she was just telling me, you know, I have cancer, I have breast cancer.
- 5:01SPEAKER_00: This is like a cancer story.
- 5:02SPEAKER_00: I don't know why it's a cancer story, but this is a cancer story.
- 5:04SPEAKER_00: She's like, I have breast cancer and I'm having to get a double mastectomy, and I really want you to make drinks for my like farewell breast party.
- 5:12SPEAKER_00: I was like, What?
- 5:15SPEAKER_00: And she's like, I just really love your drinks, and you just seem so fun and nice.
- 5:18SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, Okay, so we like had dinner together, and uh me, her, and her partner, and we planned the party, brought the drinks.
- 5:26SPEAKER_00: It was super fun.
- 5:28SPEAKER_00: Wow, and I did it for free, but she still paid me, which I really did not want her to, but she did, and I was just like, That's just so kind of you because what you like just recognizing me and asked me to do this, like, you don't know how much of a payment that was to me, right?
- 5:41SPEAKER_00: And she was just so kind, and I was like, This is this is cool, like drinks can really change things.
- 5:47SPEAKER_01: That's wild.
- 5:47SPEAKER_00: It is wild, yeah.
- 5:49SPEAKER_01: But how cool?
- 5:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I'm just on the internet, acted a fool, and now come over here.
- 5:54SPEAKER_01: Do you do you think about yourself?
- 5:56SPEAKER_01: I like you said, I'm a creative too, and so like it's interesting because it's hard to view myself like people view me.
- 6:03SPEAKER_01: You know what I mean?
- 6:04SPEAKER_01: Like, I'm just I'm bang, you know, like I'm just your normal like friend that you see hanging out, whatever the case may be.
- 6:10SPEAKER_01: Like, do you see yourself as Cyrinthia, or are you like, nah, I'm I'm the dirty barista?
- 6:16SPEAKER_01: Like, I'm really like that.
- 6:17SPEAKER_01: You know what I mean?
- 6:18SPEAKER_01: Like, do you see yourself as through the same lens as people see you?
- 6:21SPEAKER_00: I think that I can.
- 6:22SPEAKER_00: I just don't think I always do.
- 6:25SPEAKER_00: I have the ability to, because I'm like, okay, I I do like I understand why people would feel the way that they feel about me.
- 6:32SPEAKER_00: Yeah, some people think I'm really deep, some people think I'm not, and I understand how people could come to those conclusions about me.
- 6:38SPEAKER_00: But there's times where I'm I know all of that, but I'm still like, I don't know.
- 6:44SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I just feel regular.
- 6:45SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 6:46SPEAKER_00: There's better people out there.
- 6:47SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 6:48SPEAKER_00: I mean, I do do a good job, but it's not all that.
- 6:51SPEAKER_00: And it's also a little bit me trying to keep myself humble.
- 6:53SPEAKER_00: Like, for sure, don't think you're all that.
- 6:55SPEAKER_00: There's always gonna be someone that can, you know, for sure, do it better.
- 6:59SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 6:59SPEAKER_00: But at the same time, I'm like, I I also like the energy of I do do this.
- 7:04SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 7:05SPEAKER_00: And that's the energy that I want to have about it.
- 7:08SPEAKER_01: How important is confidence in what you do?
- 7:11SPEAKER_01: Very, very.
