- 0:02Welcome to the Basement. Thank you for joining me today.
- 0:05You might be wondering what's the future look like for gold
- 0:10and silver? Are the BRICS countries really
- 0:13that important? We've got some new information,
- 0:17some startling data from our friend Neils over at Kitco that
- 0:20we're going to go over in just a few moments.
- 0:22But you're also many of you wondering, will you be able to
- 0:28sell, sell? Who would ever sell?
- 0:30You're not going to sell your silver, are you?
- 0:32But would you be able hypothetically, to sell your
- 0:36silver if the price gets to 80 or $100?
- 0:40What about the dollar? We keep hearing all this, You
- 0:43hear it all the time, right? The dollar so strong, the dollar
- 0:46so strong. We're going to dive into what's
- 0:48going on with the US dollar. This has to do with the bricks.
- 0:52This has to do with the price of gold and silver.
- 0:55But let's go right into this fascinating article from our
- 1:00friend Niels over at Kitco. He says the world is the world
- 1:05going to need more gold. What do you think?
- 1:08Do you think the world's going to need more gold?
- 1:11Do you think the world is going to need more silver?
- 1:13Well, I'm going to tell you by the end of this article, you're
- 1:16going to be convinced. And when we talk about the world
- 1:19need for silver, you're going to be even more convinced.
- 1:22And we know that the world is also going to need more
- 1:25platinum. But according to Niels from
- 1:27Kitko, he brought up a great point last week.
- 1:31All right? He said he warned investors that
- 1:33gold's sell off was an overreaction to the
- 1:37misunderstood fundamental news. OK, Black box algorithmic
- 1:42trading, Gold traders who've been relying on Chinese central
- 1:45bank buying, remember that was the big deal 18 months, right?
- 1:49What did you think about that? 1817 straight months of Chinese
- 1:53central bank buying came to an abrupt end, right?
- 1:57We got this big announcement what last Sunday night, the
- 1:59Chinese central bank and that totally spooked the gold market.
- 2:04We know it also, or was it Friday last week?
- 2:06Whatever day it was, who cares? It was a seemed like a like an
- 2:10eternity ago, but it absolutely killed the gold price and the
- 2:16silver price, which made no sense 'cause it had nothing at
- 2:19all to do with silver and it really made no sense when it
- 2:22came to gold as well. But Niels points out in green a
- 2:25great point. Gold this week managed to hold
- 2:28critical support at $2300 on Monday and is seeing a 1% gain
- 2:35on the week heading into the weekend.
- 2:37Yoohoo, right, let's run out the pin backs real quick and review
- 2:41gold 2332 dollars, Silver $29.57 per oz.
- 2:49We're going to talk also about why that $30 per oz silver
- 2:52number is so important. And you know, I got to be honest
- 2:55with you, I don't know how you're feeling when you think
- 2:58about silver and gold and you think about the next few weeks.
- 3:01For some strange reason this morning, my optimism meter is is
- 3:07is shifting more toward the optimistic side.
- 3:10Tell me in the comments, are you feeling optimistic about gold
- 3:14and silver this week or more pessimistic?
- 3:16We know there's ups and downs, all that good stuff, but my
- 3:20little inner gut is telling me that we can actually have a good
- 3:23week this week in the metals. We'll see.
- 3:25I'll come on here next Sunday and tell you if I was right or
- 3:28wrong. But if you, regardless of where
- 3:31the price fluctuations may go, want to get your hands on some
- 3:34gold, silver or platinum, please support channel sponsor Pinbex
- 3:39or at least give them a chance. That's what I did over a year
- 3:44ago when you guys told me check out pin backs.
- 3:46Check out pin backs. And what I found was they've got
- 3:49all the products that all the other big online bullion dealers
- 3:53have. They also have great customer
- 3:56service. But most important to me, their
- 3:58prices are hard to beat. Let's get back to Kitco.
- 4:01Here we go. Given in yellow all the
- 4:04geopolitical uncertainty around the world.
- 4:06It's ludicrous to think that China is done buying gold.
- 4:11So O'Neill's went to some big conference and listen to this
- 4:15quote. There's some data in here about
- 4:17the bricks that I hadn't thought about.
- 4:19Probably I believe will be news to you as well and might explain
- 4:23to us why this week we didn't see a massive downturn in the
- 4:28price of gold or the price of silver.
- 4:30Silver actually treaded water last week.
- 4:33Quote. Here's a quote.
- 4:34It's extraordinary to me to see how rapidly we've moved from a
- 4:38situation where globalization seemed inevitable, right?
- 4:43Ten years ago everything was globalizing to where today it's
- 4:47increasingly seems impossible. That's Paren BD.
- 4:51He's the the CEO of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce.
- 4:54So what he's saying is globalization is out the window.
- 4:59Countries are are, what's the word, kind of battening down the
- 5:03hatches, right? Countries like India recently,
- 5:07right, went to the England, went to the Bank of England and said
- 5:10we want 100 tons of our gold back.
- 5:13Everyone's becoming very nationalistic, OK Yellow.
- 5:17While the dollar is expected to remain the world's reserve
- 5:20currency, it will face growing competition.
- 5:24OK. Analysts constantly reiterate
- 5:26that gold will play a growing role in a multipolar currency
- 5:31world because it remains one of the world's most liquid monetary
- 5:35assets in global financial markets.
- 5:37We've talked about this. Most likely we aren't going to
- 5:40have this Project Sandman event. We could.
- 5:43Nothing can be ruled out where the dollar overnight becomes
- 5:47worth significantly less. But it's happening little by
- 5:51little by little, chop by chop by chop by chop, and the tree
- 5:56will start to to lean. We can already see the dollar's
- 6:00diminished role on the world stage.
- 6:02This week, the trade agreement between the United States and
- 6:06Saudi Arabia, which established the Petro dollar was allowed to
- 6:11expire. We won't dig into that, guys.
- 6:14But remember, the Petro dollar bar anything is the reason why
- 6:19the United States was able to borrow itself into oblivion over
- 6:24the last 50 years. The Petro dollar is why we have
- 6:28this. See my yellow finger up there,
- 6:31right? They're going to have to make
- 6:32that box bigger, right? Soon.
- 6:34Who knows when it's going to hit $100 trillion.
- 6:36But the Petro dollar allowed the United States for years and
- 6:40years to live way beyond its mean.
- 6:42But now Saudi Arabia moves to expand, the US moves to expand
- 6:47beyond the US dollar come as it enters a new trading bloc with
- 6:52expanded BRICS nations, Brazil, Russia, India, China, South
- 6:55Africa, Iran, Egypt, Ethiopia and the United Arab Emirates.
- 6:59OK, during the conference. So the BRICS are expanding.
- 7:03Ali Borhani said this in green. This is where it gets
- 7:07interesting. I, I, I mean, guys, OK, I'll
- 7:11just read it to you here. How does this make you?
- 7:14What do you think when you hear this?
- 7:16Half the world's population is in the bricks plus half the
- 7:22world's population. 2/3 of the World Trade happens in the
- 7:28bricks plus whoa, is that right? 2/3 of the world's trade
- 7:33happening within the bricks plus bricks are adding 74,000,000
- 7:39consumers a year. That's two times Canada out of
- 7:44these markets, OK? I mean, these numbers are
- 7:46staggering, guys. India's adding so many people to
- 7:50their consumer class. And what do the Indian people
- 7:52love? Just as a little happy side
- 7:54note, they love gold. They love silver, OK?
- 7:58Because what else do the Indian people love that are moving into
- 8:02the consumer class? Hold on, take a step back.
- 8:05Think about this. They love things like
- 8:08electronics, right? Cell phones, refrigerators,
- 8:12televisions, those all take a lot of silver.
- 8:16Let's remember. Oh, and by the way, to make all
- 8:19those things work, those hundreds of millions of of
- 8:23Indian people who in the next 5-10 years will be entering this
- 8:26consumer class, they're going to need electricity.
- 8:29Yeah. And where's that electricity
- 8:32going to come from? A lot of it is coming from
- 8:35solar, which is why the Indians are importing so much silver.
- 8:38I digress to the orange. Because of these broad reaching
- 8:43geopolitical shifts, it's fairly easy to make a simple case for
- 8:47gold as a global currency. Many analysts have noted that
- 8:50gold remains the best neutral asset to to settle trade
- 8:56imbalances. It's not just China that's going
- 8:59to have to buy more gold. Nations around the world,
- 9:03especially those in emerging markets that have relied so
- 9:07heavily on the US dollar will have to rebuild their gold
- 9:11reserves. Guys, it's happening right now
- 9:15right in front of us, which explains why we didn't have a
- 9:18massive collapse in the gold price last week, which explains
- 9:22why silver also held in strong these countries.
- 9:28I mean, are, are you seeing it? Is it making sense?
- 9:32I mean, what did he say to what was that?
- 9:34Let's let's just briefly, this is worth repeating because to me
- 9:38this is absolutely astounding. Half the world's population is
- 9:43in the bricks. 2/3 of the World Trade happens in the bricks, OK?
- 9:49And they're adding 74,000,000 consumers per year.
- 9:54Is this sinking in? Does this make sense?
- 9:57Because guys, we are in a situation where from a monetary
- 10:03perspective, right? And they're moving, these
- 10:05countries are, are, are increasingly using gold to, to,
- 10:10to, to, to shore up their nation, nation finances.
- 10:13The smaller countries know they need gold to shore up their
- 10:17country's finances and at the same time, just the overall
- 10:21demand for for silver to support the growing consumer class.
- 10:28It's just it's just it absolutely.
- 10:29I don't know what else to say. I don't know.
- 10:32Do you see this as as a as a major catalyst that we can
- 10:35continue, I mean, for the next 5-10, fifteen years?
- 10:39Remember this about the BRICS countries as well.
- 10:43They may not trust the US dollar.
- 10:46This is a nugget. This is something is a aha was
- 10:50an aha moment for me. And if you haven't heard this,
- 10:53it could likely be an aha moment for you.
- 10:55Sure, we hear all this about moving away from the US dollar,
- 10:59right? What does that mean?
- 11:00That means the dollar becomes less in demand.
- 11:03When anything's less in demand, it becomes less valuable.
- 11:06But the BRICS countries, as they move away from the US dollar,
- 11:12what are they going to move to? Because they may not trust the
- 11:16dollar, but but think about this.
- 11:20They trust each other's currencies even less.
- 11:24So what does that leave? What does that leave us with?
- 11:27That leaves us with. Yeah, you got it, Gold and
- 11:31silver, the timeless stores of value.
- 11:34Is it any wonder that we're seeing such increased demand for
- 11:38gold? But at the same time, but at the
- 11:40same time, let's go take a look at this because this is also
- 11:45critical for us to remember when it comes to gold.
- 11:50Oh, let's just look at this one real quickly.
- 11:52It's been a few days. OK, here we go.
- 11:58That's 800,000 Chinese people lining up after I think it was
- 12:02their lunar holiday. Whatever it was, it was a couple
- 12:05of months ago, but 800,000 Chinese people lining up at a
- 12:10mall to buy gold, from what I understand was one store.
- 12:15But that's not what we're looking at.
- 12:17There's my I love silver shirt. Hold on, We're going to get to
- 12:20it. We're going to get to it.
- 12:23There it is. So as this demand for gold is
- 12:26skyrocketing, look at this chart again, we can't look at this one
- 12:30enough. This comes from channel sponsor
- 12:31First Mining Gold's investor presentation.
- 12:34And yes, it has to do with their company, but it also has to do
- 12:37with the overall gold market. From left to right, starting in
- 12:421990, the yellow bars representing the amount of gold
- 12:46that's been discovered in the world.
- 12:48Can you see it is going down, down, down while the amount of
- 12:52money spent to find the gold on exploration has gone up, even
- 12:58though when we come to the more recent years, we see a big
- 13:01uptick, not record, not $10 billion, but what, six and a
- 13:05half, $7 billion spent and almost no gold is discovered,
- 13:11right. So think about this in the, in
- 13:13the, in the context of what we just talked about is the world,
- 13:17right? What, 2/3 of the world's
- 13:19commerce represented by the BRICS Plus is demanding more and
- 13:23more gold, Less and less gold is being discovered.
- 13:27And we know, right, that the same exact situation, basement
- 13:34dwellers, is true for silver, probably at an even more
- 13:37exaggerated level. I mean, it's astounding to
- 13:40think, I'm sorry, I have to say it to you again.
- 13:43It's been 3 days since we talked about this.
- 13:46To think that the entire market cap of the entire silver mining
- 13:50sector is less than $15 billion. That's like 5% of the market cap
- 13:56of Home Depot. GameStop had a market cap
- 14:00higher, right? GameStop, right?
- 14:03Couple times last week or the week before had a market cap.
- 14:07GameStop, one company that's I, I don't know whatever, you know,
- 14:12you might have different opinions about GameStop, but
- 14:13nonetheless, that one little company had a market cap bigger
- 14:17than all the silver mining companies in the world combined.
- 14:21OK, so you think there's a lot of money going into the into
- 14:24discovering and exploring for silver?
- 14:27No, almost none. And I would imagine that to a
- 14:31certain degree, the same is true for platinum.
- 14:33I'm not a platinum guru. I think we have one here on the
- 14:36show who's joining us. Hello, Annie Oakley.
- 14:38All right, Thank you, Annie. Good to see you.
- 14:41Jake's custom parts. Thank you.
- 14:43So that's what's going on with the bricks.
- 14:45OK, Now let's talk about something very interesting this
- 14:49week. I think it's very important for
- 14:51the silver price and that is that we get above $30.
- 14:55I shared with you earlier, how are you feeling?
- 14:58How are you going to feel next Sunday if we're sitting down
- 15:01here talking about 3233, maybe even $34 silver?
- 15:07I'm not making that prediction, but I'm saying it feels to me
- 15:12more and more likely as I'm absorbing everything that went
- 15:16on last week. Guys, we had a very volatile
- 15:19week last week in the silver market in particular.
- 15:22It was nuts, OK? And that those periods of
- 15:25volatility are often times precursors to big, big moves.
- 15:31I don't even want to think about, right?
- 15:33I don't even want to think about us having to sit down here next
- 15:36Sunday and talk about 27 or $26 silver.
- 15:40I think the the, the numbers are skewed to the upside.
- 15:43It's very important, OK, very important that the silver price
- 15:48continues upward. I heard one of the big analysts
- 15:51just talking. Thank you, Ron McAdams.
- 15:53Wow, Super Chad. Hey, I gotta, I'm going to put
- 15:55up. Thank you, Ron.
- 15:56I'm going to put up our little banner here for you guys.
- 16:00That way if you want to support any of the sponsors, feel free
- 16:04to do that as well. OK, so why is silver so
- 16:09critical? Why?
- 16:10Right? In a nutshell, solar energy.
- 16:14In a nutshell, artificial intelligence.
- 16:16Are you seeing this? This baby is a connection that
- 16:20you might benefit, and I don't know if you've made this
- 16:22connection yet, the connection between solar energy and the AI
- 16:28revolution. OK, because AI is taking over.
- 16:31NVIDIA is making all these chips, right?
- 16:33That's the most expensive, our most highly valued company in
- 16:36the world, NVIDIA, NVIDIA completely overvalued.
- 16:40But we'll leave that alone. Making all these AI chips, Those
- 16:44AI chips #1 need silver. But guys, on top of that, not
- 16:52just needing the silver, those chips need a lot of electricity
- 16:56to function. And where's a lot of this
- 16:58electricity coming from? Solar.
- 17:00Microsoft announced like one of the biggest solar projects in
- 17:04the history of the world a month or so ago specifically to power
- 17:08their AI initiatives that they're going on.
- 17:12The world needs more electricity to power.
- 17:15Goldman Sachs just put out a report that like the the year
- 17:19over year growth in electricity demand is going to be way, way,
- 17:23way higher than anyone thought that it was going to be.
- 17:28So hold on one second here. So as we think about as we think
- 17:33about this connection, right, think about the connection and
- 17:37then and then think about the common thread.
- 17:40This is a this is fun. This'll this'll give you
- 17:43something to, you know, you might be wondering what's the
- 17:46common thread? Are you wondering that what's
- 17:49the common thread? AI chips.
- 17:51OK, Expanding, exploding. Demand for electricity,
- 17:55expanding, exploding. What's the common thread?
- 17:59Silver. Is it any wonder that we have
- 18:02people saying now that silver and I'm in this camp.
- 18:06OK, Are you in the camp? Right?
- 18:08What what does this mean to you when you hear that silver could
- 18:11be the new oil, right? 100 years ago, oil was, was
- 18:17important, but really not much. But as, as it was refined and
- 18:21made into gasoline and and diesel fuel and everything else
- 18:24plastic over the last 100 years, oil became the lifeblood of the
- 18:29world economy as we're moving into the next 100 years, right?
- 18:34And it's electrification, green energy.
- 18:38All right? Electrification, green energy
- 18:40and artificial intelligence. It could.
- 18:43It's easy to see, right? Electric vehicles, electric
- 18:47everything. It's easy to see that silver
- 18:50could prove itself to be like the new oil.
- 18:54I know. It's mind blowing, right?
- 18:56Yeah. We can talk about $600.00
- 18:58silver. We can talk about $300.00
- 18:59silver. We can talk about $2000 silver.
- 19:03Leonard Zhang brought that up last time I had her in the
- 19:05basement. Right, That the math behind
- 19:07silver really indicates $2000 silver.
- 19:10But it could happen and it could happen sooner than we
- 19:14anticipate. Let's go take a look real
- 19:16quickly. Speaking of silver and silver
- 19:18prices, yes, did you say? Happy Father's.
- 19:24Day to everyone. No, I didn't.
- 19:25Sorry, Susie. I'm in.
- 19:26I'm. I'm in a little trouble with
- 19:28Susie. I forgot to tell all you fathers
- 19:30out there. Happy Father's Day and all of
- 19:33us. That's one thing.
- 19:34We got a couple things in common now, don't we?
- 19:36We love silver. We love gold.
- 19:38We're together here in the basement.
- 19:39We're having a good old time. Everybody smile with me, right?
- 19:44We're having a good time. We got that in common.
- 19:47We love silver and gold, but each and every one of us has a
- 19:51father. That's a that's a fact, right?
- 19:54Biological fact. I don't think I can get thrown
- 19:57off YouTube for saying that you have a father.
- 20:00Your father may be with us still.
- 20:02Your father may be moved on, but happy Father's Day to all the
- 20:06fathers out there, those of us, I'm a father.
- 20:09But at minimum, we all have a father.
- 20:11And let's all remember to be extra nice to our daddies today.
- 20:15Thank you guys for for hearing that one out.
- 20:17Now, I lost my train of thought. Where was I?
- 20:19I was going. Oh, yeah.
- 20:20Yeah. Let's go check out the prices.
- 20:22Let's go check out the value of silver over here.
- 20:26Hold on. Here we go.
- 20:28We're heading over there. the US Debt Clock.
- 20:31We're back to visit you, Mr. Debt Clock.
- 20:34I forgot where the secret window is, but let's go down to the
- 20:39dollar to silver ratio now sitting at $162.00 per oz.
- 20:46What does that mean? I think I, I think let me know
- 20:49if this, if this helps make it easier for you to understand.
- 20:53What that means is that for each new, new ounce of silver that's
- 21:00dug out of the ground every year by the mining sector, all the
- 21:04new silver that comes onto the market over the course of the
- 21:07year, for each one ounce that comes out of the ground, there's
- 21:11now 162 paper Unicorn fart dust dollars that are being created.
- 21:19OK, what does that tell us? Right.
- 21:21They're creating dollars at a much faster pace than they're
- 21:25creating or mining silver 'cause you can't create silver.
- 21:29There's only so much silver on the on the force, on the on the
- 21:33face of the earth. Over A5 year, it's 15158 / a
- 21:38five year. That means over the last five
- 21:40years, for each one ounce of silver that was dug up by a
- 21:44mining company, there were $1500 printed.
- 21:50OK, Paper dollars make believe. OK, absolutely crazy, crazy
- 21:55numbers. And that comes from down here.
- 21:58The M2 money supply, you can see in the left corner where my
- 22:00little yellow finger is moving back and forth, which is going
- 22:04up. That's the measure of all the
- 22:06paper electronic money that's out there in the system.
- 22:11M2, if you go up to the very top, middle consists of M1 plus
- 22:15savings deposits, time deposits, individual retirement accounts,
- 22:19key O balances at depository institutions and balances and
- 22:23retail money market funds. That means over the last five
- 22:27years that bears report repeating.
- 22:30There's a reason why Susie refers to me as Repeater Ron.
- 22:34Over the last five years, each time one ounce of silver was dug
- 22:39out of the ground through toil and turmoil.
- 22:41Silver's very, very hard to get out of the ground.
- 22:45But for each one ounce over the last five years, there were 1500
- 22:50dollars printed in paper money. If you forgot what paper money
- 22:55is, you're in the right place. Here's a wet dollar.
- 22:59Hold on here. Because before we came on, right
- 23:02before we came on, there's that's what that there were 1500
- 23:06over the last five years. OK, here.
- 23:08Oh man, if I had more cash, I could show you guys.
- 23:11But we'll do a visual here. Here's one ounce from Big 10,
- 23:15the Silver Shire. Isn't that beautiful, that one
- 23:18ounce. Look at that.
- 23:20Look at that. OK, that's one ounce of silver
- 23:24for each one ounce of silver that came out of the ground over
- 23:28the last five years, 1500 of these suckers were created.
- 23:36I think I need better props here.
- 23:37Wait a minute. I got a better prop.
- 23:38Hold on. Think about it this way.
- 23:42For each one and you correct me if I'm wrong, hello born
- 23:47hunting. Thank you, wow, super chat and
- 23:49thank you Ron McAdams again for that super chat you gave for
- 23:52each one of these that came out of the ground.
- 23:56OK you. Also had one from Jay.
- 24:00Jay OK, I'll get to that one as well.
- 24:02Jay Thank you. OK, there were this is movie
- 24:05money, so don't come here. There were 1500 of these
- 24:08created. OK.
- 24:10Or you can think about it this way because this right and this
- 24:18are pretty much the same thing, right?
- 24:20When you're playing Monopoly, you have confidence that it's
- 24:23worth something. When you're playing in the
- 24:25United States right now, you have confidence that that's
- 24:27worth something. Are you going to be able to
- 24:29sell? Are you worried?
- 24:31Are you worried? A lot of you are worried.
- 24:34There's the old Magic 8 ball. Remember that from back in the
- 24:37day. Yeah, we'll get him out here in
- 24:39a second. We'll we'll ask the Magic 8 ball
- 24:41where the silver price is going this week.
- 24:44Thank you, Bourne Hunting and Jo, thank you for your super
- 24:49chat. FYI, GameStop, GameStop is one
- 24:52of the most manipulated stocks on the market.
- 24:54The vast majority of GameStop holders know what this stock is.
- 24:59Research guys. Yeah, it's a meme stock, right?
- 25:02I mean, I'm familiar with the roaring Kitty situation.
- 25:06I guess what I'm pointing out there is just how crazy the
- 25:09market is in general. When you've got GameStop, their
- 25:13market cap, when the stock hit over $40 per share, it was over
- 25:18$15 billion bigger than what the what the entire market cap of
- 25:24the entire silver mining industry sets at.
- 25:27It doesn't make any sense. It's crazy.
- 25:30It's absolutely crazy. So you guys are worried, right?
- 25:34You might be wondering, are you wondering, are you worried that
- 25:39when silver hits, this seems like the number everybody sends
- 25:42me, everybody, I get the same e-mail and that's fine 'cause
- 25:45that makes lets me know what you're worried about.
- 25:48Ron, when silver hits $80.00 per oz, who's going to buy my
- 25:52silver? It's almost, are you thinking?
- 25:54It's almost like people are thinking, and I understand, I'm
- 25:56not putting you down, that if silver goes really, really high
- 26:00as measured in Unicorn fart dust paper dollars, that suddenly
- 26:05nobody's going to want to buy it from you, right?
- 26:07And, and like, you're going to be like, well, I got the silver
- 26:10and the price says $80.00, but I can't sell it.
- 26:13Nobody wants to buy it. Whoa, whoa, whoa.
- 26:17I got some good news for you. And it's real simple for you to
- 26:20understand, guys. Well, I'll give you an example.
- 26:24Well, let's, let's go, look, let's go, look, let's go, let's
- 26:30go out. We're going to go on a little
- 26:32trip on the Internet and we're going to say silver, Silver
- 26:38price. Gosh, this keyboard stinks on
- 26:41this new computer. The OK, eighth time's a charm.
- 26:46Enter. And I like to go to this site.
- 26:50Silver not where'd it go? silverprice.org.
- 26:56What happened? There it is.
- 26:57OK, let's go look at the silver price.
- 26:59And I want to give you an example.
- 27:02Price of silver charts. OK, and silver price chart.
- 27:11OK Buttercup, here we go. There's the silver price chart.
- 27:16Can you sell your silver? Are you wondering, are you
- 27:18scared? Right, That's a problem.
- 27:21I go, oh, if silver hits $80.00, if silver hits $120.00, I won't
- 27:25be able to sell it. I won't be able to sell it.
- 27:28OK, well, let me show you something back here.
- 27:31Let's see, when was this in? On Friday, November 8th of of
- 27:372008, silver was $9 per oz OK, all right, we can go back here
- 27:46right over Silver was oh, here we'll go way back, way back.
- 27:52Wait a minute here. All OK, so back in, I'm going to
- 27:58go back to like, oh, here we go in the in the mid 90s, man,
- 28:02right when I got out of college, I should have just bought
- 28:04silver. I could be retired now, $3.67 an
- 28:08ounce. OK, so in 1993, which granted is
- 28:12what, 30 years ago? Yes, 30 years, I think my math
- 28:15is correct. Silver was at $3.67 an ounce
- 28:19back then. You know what people were
- 28:21asking, who's gonna buy my silver?
- 28:24If it actually goes to $30.00 an ounce, who's gonna buy?
- 28:27I mean, that's almost, let's say A7 times increase in the price
- 28:32of silver from 1993 to today, right?
- 28:38Seven times increase. So if we get a 7 times increase
- 28:43from, we'll round up and be optimistic.
- 28:46From $30.00 an ounce where we are today, we'll be at $210.00
- 28:50an ounce the only way. OK, so, so that's, that's a
- 28:55smaller, you know, 210. So if we go to, if we go to
- 28:58$80.00 per oz, that's like less than 1 1/2, right?
- 29:03No two, 2 1/2 times from where we are, people are buying silver
- 29:08right now. From those people back in the
- 29:10mid 90s, it said nobody will ever buy your silver if it goes
- 29:13to $30.00 an ounce. Well, just like if silver goes
- 29:17up what, 1 1/2 two times in value, three times in value from
- 29:22here to $90.00 an ounce, people will buy your silver.
- 29:26Because I belaboured this point, but it's important for us to
- 29:30understand because the only way the price of silver is going to
- 29:34get to 8090 or $100.00 an ounce is if people are buying it.
- 29:39It's a market, right? And we know that the silver
- 29:43price is way undervalued. We know that if silver, if if
- 29:48right, don't make any financial decisions based on anything I'm
- 29:51saying. But if silver, oh wow, more
- 29:54super chats. Thank you, Susie.
- 29:56Right when, right. But if silver does get to
- 30:01$8090.00 an ounce, there will be a strong still fundamental
- 30:06argument for the price being that high, right?
- 30:09And you'll hear people coming out of the people.
- 30:12Everybody will be buying silver, everybody.
- 30:15So yes, you will be able to sell your silver at those at those
- 30:18prices. Hold on here, we got more super
- 30:21chance. You guys are being super duper
- 30:23America first, thank you for that super chat.
- 30:26Happy Father's Day and all the other yes, thank you and popping
- 30:30off. Thank you for that.
- 30:32OK, now the other argument and we're gonna put it to sleep, but
- 30:36I have I actually drew on this chart for you.
- 30:39OK, 'cause we've talked about this many times.
- 30:43Hold on here. Let's go back.
- 30:48Let's go back in The Time Machine.
- 30:50Let me hide that. That's the silver rainbow.
- 30:56You know, guys, this, this is good news for silver investors
- 31:02in gold and copper, OK? But you got to think about
- 31:05silver like this. Silver is a split personality,
- 31:09right? Silver is half monetary, right?
- 31:13The purple side of that like gold and silver is half
- 31:17industrial. I would almost argue that
- 31:19silver, which is fine, right? So silver's half an half half of
- 31:23silver's demand. And, and I don't know the
- 31:27specific numbers, but let's just say silver.
- 31:29A big part of silver's demand comes from investors.
- 31:32The other part comes from industry.
- 31:36OK, so silver is like half copper and half gold.
- 31:40And if you look at the prices of both of those metals, they both
- 31:44have been near all time highs. We even had a copper squeeze
- 31:48like 5-6 weeks ago. Gold we know is bumping against
- 31:52all time highs. But think about this right?
- 31:55So, so both the metals that silver is half related to have
- 31:59been near all time highs. But would you, would you agree
- 32:03with the statement that the fundamentals supporting silver
- 32:09as a monetary metal and also supporting silver as an
- 32:12industrial metal are actually better than copper and gold?
- 32:16I would, I would, right? I love gold, I love copper.
- 32:19Nothing you know, against, but I would argue so you've got silver
- 32:24with better fundamentals, but only not even, you know, half
- 32:29right in nominal terms, half of its all time high.
- 32:32It's really crazy. Hold on, we're going back in The
- 32:36Time Machine here. There's those 800,000.
- 32:39Oh, look at this. This, this is one we got to look
- 32:41at. This one will make your blood
- 32:43boil. A little diversion.
- 32:46OK, This is Woodrow Wilson, old Woodrow.
- 32:50He's the guy that signed the legislation that created the
- 32:54United States Federal Reserve. The the the the expert printer
- 32:58of Unicorn fart dust, right. Paper money has destroyed the
- 33:01middle class in America. This is what he said like a year
- 33:06or, I don't know, five years after he after he got out of
- 33:10being the president and, and, and this is in regards to his
- 33:13decision or that he allowed the Federal Reserve to be created.
- 33:17He said, I am a most unhappy man.
- 33:21I have unwittingly ruined my country.
- 33:24A great industrial nation is now controlled by its system of
- 33:29credit. Credit, guys, credit the dollar.
- 33:35OK, Unfortunately, right, I've got a, I've got a silver
- 33:40certificate here. When when the dollar was backed
- 33:42by silver, was backed by gold. Right now the dollar is nothing
- 33:45but credit. It's a system of credit.
- 33:48We are no longer a government by free opinion, no longer a
- 33:53government by conviction, the vote of the majority, but a
- 33:57government by the opinion and duress of a small group of
- 34:02dominant men. I don't know what duress means.
- 34:05I'm going to be honest with you. Hold on here.
- 34:06Let's look this up. See if I can ask Google.
- 34:09Hey Google, what does duress mean?
- 34:14Here's the definition of duress. Threats, violence, constraints,
- 34:18or other action brought to bear on someone to do something
- 34:21against their will or better judgement.
- 34:24Wow. Threats, violence, constraints
- 34:26or other. This is strong words.
- 34:28Action brought to pair, brought to bear on someone to do
- 34:33something against their will or better judgement.
- 34:36Oh, my God. I just dropped Susie.
- 34:39Sorry about that, guys. All right, let's go back.
- 34:44Let's go back. I want to go back to this.
- 34:46Long way back. Hold on.
- 34:48Here. There's our there's the price
- 34:52here. Here's what happens.
- 34:54There it is. Here it is.
- 34:56But this is what happens to the price of silver when you have a
- 35:00currency crisis. This is Argentina.
- 35:04OK, 2014, the an ounce of silver cost 122 Argentine pesos.
- 35:13That's ten years ago. OK, 11, whatever.
- 35:16OK, 122 when we get to let's say, what is that 2024 range?
- 35:25All right, 8700 pesos. That was what 10 years later,
- 35:31the price went up by 7000% measured in Argentine pesos and
- 35:37I think it went all the way as high as 20,000.
- 35:39Somebody could look it up if they like and let us know.
- 35:42That's, that's what Woodrow Wilson was talking about there.
- 35:46All right, there's the dollar index.
- 35:48Guys, this is good news. Could you could you just open
- 35:52your mind for one second and come with me on this journey as
- 35:56we realize that the DXY, the strong dollar is actually strong
- 36:03support for the gold price and the silver price because the
- 36:07dollar has been so strong, right?
- 36:10Well, that goes back to 1985. That's what 40 years that we've
- 36:15had this this dollar DXY index that we could track.
- 36:19But guess what, guys, the dollar is, is, is near nose bleed
- 36:23historical levels. But, but consider right,
- 36:29consider right. You might be wondering, well,
- 36:31what does that mean for the price of gold?
- 36:33What does that mean for the price of silver?
- 36:35It's going to be hard for the DXY index to go much higher,
- 36:38right? And, and, and there's lessening
- 36:41demand for the dollar in the world.
- 36:44But from a historical basis, we're in history right now.
- 36:48We have all time highs. Let me tell you something.
- 36:51Let me tell you something. If we'd sat down, you and I with
- 36:53one of these fancy analysts from Goldman Sachs or what's that
- 36:58other company, everybody doesn't like JP Morgan or any of the big
- 37:02fancy companies. If we sat down with them ten
- 37:05years ago and we told them, well, this is what's going to
- 37:08happen to the DXY index in the next 10 years and what do you
- 37:12think they would say that we would have gold at like 14112
- 37:16hundred $800 per oz. Silver would be at $12.00.
- 37:20Guys, this is good news. Hopefully this hopefully this
- 37:24computes for you the fact that we've had such strong metals
- 37:28prizes over the last year and where we sit right now in the
- 37:33face of a strong dollar is a good thing.
- 37:37And here's another way to look at it.
- 37:39I shoot. Oh man, hold on here.
- 37:43Let me fix this for you Stay with me.
- 37:45This is critical for you to see, OK?
- 37:47That's the dollar index, same time frame all the way back over
- 37:51here to 1985. Here's where we are today.
- 37:53Here's where we are. I'm going to draw for you the
- 37:57period of time when we had a higher DXY index.
- 38:02I'm going to do it nice and slow right there.
- 38:04So that was, I don't know, a couple years ago, and I looked
- 38:09at this earlier right here. OK, that was about two years
- 38:16back, around the year 2000. That's the only time the dollar
- 38:19index has been higher. And don't forget, the dollar
- 38:22index is just that's like comparing a bunch of turds on
- 38:27the toilet. I can't say it any other way.
- 38:29It's like comparing the worst three worst cars in the world's
- 38:32worst used car lot. OK.
- 38:34So the fact that we have had a massive, massive rally in the
- 38:39metals prices in the face of this strong dollar, right, is
- 38:44very good because the path of least, think about it, the
- 38:48dollar's hardly ever this high, right?
- 38:51So the path of least resistance, it's a comparison between, it's
- 38:55not like an index. It's not like the S&P 500
- 38:58working just go up and up and up forever.
- 39:00No, it's a comparison. It's like a seesaw, OK, when the
- 39:04dollar goes up, the euro goes down.
- 39:07When the dollar goes down, the euro goes up.
- 39:08The dollar can't just keep going up and up and up.
- 39:11It's seesaws, the path of least the seesaws pretty up, pretty
- 39:15close to the top. Never really been this high,
- 39:18only a couple years out of the last 40 years.
- 39:21So when the seesaw, seesaw Hee Haw starts going down, right,
- 39:27that will be more of a tailwind, that will be wind in the sails
- 39:32of that stack of silver that you're looking at right now.
- 39:36Maybe you have a stack of gold. Whatever you have, it will be
- 39:40wind in the sails. It will be we that that's why we
- 39:44here talk about $3000 gold a lot.
- 39:48You know, people are saying $3000 gold possibly this year,
- 39:51maybe even next year, right, If the dollar starts to head down
- 39:55and guys, the world is waking up, right?
- 39:58Can you feel it? For cowbell I gotta.
- 40:04Go. OK, love you.
- 40:06OK, I'll ring the cowbell here in a minute, guys.
- 40:08Right. 200 thumbs up. Hey, yeah, I forgot to beg you.
- 40:11You need 17 more. Oh, OK, I'm begging.
- 40:15Please give this video a thumbs up.
- 40:18That helps get the word out to more and more people.
- 40:20And when we get the 200 thumbs up, I will ring the cowbell.
- 40:24And thank you for the Super chats.
- 40:26Of course. Thank you for the silver that
- 40:28you guys have sent me. I love when I get an ounce or so
- 40:31silver in the mail. It's awesome.
- 40:32And what else? You can subscribe that's free.
- 40:37I've never charged anything. Oh, Susie.
- 40:40All right. Thank you, Susie.
- 40:42Hold on a second. Hold on, guys.
- 40:46Susie, you want to say hi to everybody real quickly?
- 40:48Yeah. Happy.
- 40:48Father's Day and. Happy Father's Day.
- 41:06That's for you. And you know what?
- 41:07I'm gonna ring it one more time. I haven't done this for a long
- 41:10time. For our friend Jake, who's also,
- 41:13I know a great father and there's a lot of great fathers
- 41:17out there. Oh yeah.
- 41:19So guys, guys, guys, guys, guys, guys, guys, guys, guys, guys.
- 41:22So here's how the dollar's going to go down.
- 41:24I'm going to give you the story. I'm going to make it real simple
- 41:29for you to understand. Because when the dollar goes
- 41:33down, right, the dollar's already going down in real
- 41:37value. But when the dollar goes down in
- 41:39nominal value, right, The seesaw that we talked about, party time
- 41:46for silver and gold, and here's how it's going to happen.
- 41:48It'll be real simple. The world, right?
- 41:52The bricks, we'll just use the bricks as an example.
- 41:55And the bricks plus, right, half the world's population, 2/3 of
- 41:59the world's commerce, all that great stuff they own all the
- 42:02world's oil, blah, blah, blah, you know, whatever.
- 42:04We've got a lot here, I know, no doubt about it.
- 42:06But when they realize, right, and when they, when they pull
- 42:11the plug, which they're doing on the dollar, I wanna, I wanna
- 42:15remind you of something. Let's go.
- 42:18Let's go on a little field trip back here.
- 42:21This number, the US national debt number one, it's growing.
- 42:27See five, there's another 100,000.
- 42:31We got another 100,000 and we got one more 100,000.
- 42:36That number is growing, OK, and it's massive.
- 42:40So here's the way it works. Got it.
- 42:43You got to you got to set that foundation.
- 42:46So the US government has to refinance.
- 42:49I hear different terms, like 1/3 of that in the next year, two
- 42:52years, whatever, $10 trillion, right?
- 42:54They got to go out to the market and say, hey, Saudi Arabia, hey
- 42:58China, hey, all the different countries of the world.
- 43:03Remember, you need to buy our debt because we're the world's
- 43:07superpower and you need dollars, right?
- 43:10You need dollars to, to shore up your balance sheet.
- 43:14And they're saying no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
- 43:18no. The, the, the, no matter what
- 43:23path you go down, right? So the then, then the government
- 43:26says, well, we'll pay you a higher interest rate.
- 43:27We'll pay you a higher interest rate.
- 43:28Well, that if they, if the government says, if Janet says
- 43:32we'll pay a higher interest rate, that higher interest rate
- 43:35will crash the banks, OK, That higher interest rate, and we're
- 43:38going to talk about that real briefly here.
- 43:40Before, before, before, after I talk about this, that higher
- 43:45interest rate will crash the banks.
- 43:46That higher interest rate will make that debt grow even faster
- 43:51and faster, OK. That higher interest rate will
- 43:54kill corporate profits 'cause they got a lot of debt.
- 43:57That higher interest rate will kill you, right, 'cause on
- 44:01average Americans, the consumer has a lot of debt and the
- 44:06consumer who's the backbone of the US economy.
- 44:10So then what happens? Well, then Jerome, this guy, hi.
- 44:15Jerome says don't worry, don't worry, I'll buy the debt.
- 44:20I'll just print some money out of nothing.
- 44:22Has he done that in the past? Heck, yes.
- 44:24When they start printing, right? That's when the value of the
- 44:29dollar, that's when the seesaw starts to go down.
- 44:32That's when more people wake up to the fact that we are in a
- 44:36debt spiral. There's no way around it.
- 44:39I don't like it. You didn't do it.
- 44:41I didn't do it. But it's a scary situation.
- 44:43It's a very, very, very scary situation.
- 44:47And if they try to lower, you know, are they going to lower
- 44:49rates? Yeah.
- 44:50If they lower rates, sure. Lower interest rates, Nobody's
- 44:53going to buy the debt. Nobody's going to want it,
- 44:55Right. And the, and the government has
- 44:57to sell so much debt again, right?
- 45:00And if they lower interest rates, that's going to ignite
- 45:03inflation. It's, there's no, there's no
- 45:05other way around it, OK. The BRICS countries, they don't
- 45:09want the dollars. And I think a lot of us can
- 45:13understand why they necessarily are, are, are moving away from
- 45:16the dollar, right? But Remember, Remember, this is
- 45:20key. They want each other's
- 45:22currencies even less, right? They trust.
- 45:25They trust the dollar more than they trust anything.
- 45:28But they don't trust the dollar. What do they trust?
- 45:30What's worked? Oh, here, let's go to this guy.
- 45:33Let's just let's just hold on here.
- 45:36So what do they trust? Who should we listen to?
- 45:39Where is he? Hold on.
- 45:41I think I got him. There he is.
- 45:44Here. Him.
- 45:49Remember him? Alan Greenspan.
- 45:52OK, he says in the absence of the gold standard, there's no
- 45:55way to prevent confiscation of savings through inflation.
- 45:59Wrong. Frank's file, here it is.
- 46:02This is what I'm talking about, 'cause they don't trust each
- 46:04other's currencies, he says. Yet gold has a special, has
- 46:08special properties that no other currency with the possible
- 46:13exception of silver can claim for more than two millennia, and
- 46:19I believe a millennia is 1000 years.
- 46:22Gold has had virtually unquestioned acceptance as
- 46:26payment. It has never required the credit
- 46:29guarantee of a third party. So there you have it.
- 46:34That's the future, right? That's the future for gold.
- 46:38Maybe, you know, some people like to say crypto, whatever.
- 46:41Well, you know, I think I'll side with Alan Greenspan.
- 46:44Hey guys, thanks for being here. Thanks for being part of the
- 46:47basement. Happy Father's Day.
- 46:49Thank you for the Super chats. Thank you for the support and
- 46:52love, and I'll see you soon. Have a great day.
