- 0:01Speaker 1: Did it.
- 0:03Speaker 2: I mean it sounds like you guys knew that Edie
- 0:05Speaker 2: would probably guard you, But did it surprise you that
- 0:07Speaker 2: not only was he guard you, but I mean he
- 0:10Speaker 2: was giving you a lot of row.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Nope.
- 0:12Speaker 3: Uh, we talked about it, and it's always played basketball
- 0:17Speaker 3: the right way. Shoot the ball when you're open, attack,
- 0:20Speaker 3: get into the paint, get to the free throw line,
- 0:21Speaker 3: and pass it to the open guy. So no matter
- 0:24Speaker 3: who's guard me, I'm always gonna put it the exact
- 0:26Speaker 3: same way.
- 0:27Speaker 2: Did you figure that scheme that would lead to you know,
- 0:29Speaker 2: you get into the rim a lot and you know.
- 0:31Speaker 1: Scoring as much as you did.
- 0:33Speaker 3: Uh? Yes, and no, I feel like I have the
- 0:37Speaker 3: opportunity here to pick my spots incredibly well, and they're
- 0:41Speaker 3: always looking to get me the ball in my spots
- 0:43Speaker 3: where I could be aggressive and put the ball in
- 0:45Speaker 3: the basket or make the right play for the next individual.
- 0:49Speaker 3: So we ran a couple sets for me to do that,
- 0:52Speaker 3: and then stuff did all the other stuff.
- 0:55Speaker 2: How did you decide? You know, early you took a
- 0:57Speaker 2: couple of those threes when they were way off and
- 0:59Speaker 2: then you kind of just start going to the rim regardless, Like,
- 1:02Speaker 2: how do you decide when to keep shooting the threes
- 1:04Speaker 2: or when to just kind of power through.
- 1:07Speaker 3: I mean, I can shoot, I just choose not to
- 1:08Speaker 3: shoot threes. I'd rather drive into the paint, get me
- 1:12Speaker 3: a layup, a midi, or pass the ball to somebody
- 1:16Speaker 3: that's probably a much better shooter than I am. I
- 1:20Speaker 3: think probably you and everybody else want me to shoot
- 1:23Speaker 3: more threes, but I like shooting some layups.
- 1:28Speaker 4: Jimmy, Throughout the season, you said that you will take
- 1:31Speaker 4: what the defense has given you in terms of shooting
- 1:33Speaker 4: and being aggressive offensively. You've had twenty attempts in each
- 1:37Speaker 4: of the last two games. What have you seen on
- 1:39Speaker 4: the floor that has warranted that that?
- 1:42Speaker 3: We may need me to score a little bit more
- 1:45Speaker 3: right now, but it could change come when we play
- 1:49Speaker 3: Sunday something like that. You know, if I can get
- 1:53Speaker 3: seventeen to six and we win, it's great. If I
- 1:55Speaker 3: can get ten steals or two steals and.
- 1:57Speaker 1: We win, that's great.
- 1:58Speaker 3: But I think me scoring a little bit more has
- 2:00Speaker 3: definitely helped us a little bit.
- 2:03Speaker 5: Jimmy, what personally bothers you? More turnovers or miss free throws?
- 2:07Speaker 1: Turnovers?
- 2:08Speaker 3: I hate turning the ball over free throws, but turnovers, really,
- 2:13Speaker 3: Irk me.
- 2:16Speaker 5: What do you think you can take from this game,
- 2:17Speaker 5: especially going against somebody like Edie compared to going against
- 2:20Speaker 5: Houston with their defense and someone like an Amen Thompson.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Uh, not much.
- 2:27Speaker 3: You know, We'll go back to the drawing board and
- 2:29Speaker 3: see how I can be effective on offense side of
- 2:31Speaker 3: the ball. But I really believe I can score with
- 2:35Speaker 3: the best of them. I don't care who I'm lined
- 2:36Speaker 3: up against.
- 2:38Speaker 6: Jimmy, you had obviously a lot of drama this season,
- 2:43Speaker 6: this team, the Warriors, didn't think they would be in
- 2:46Speaker 6: the playoffs. You didn't know if you'd be in the playoffs.
- 2:49Speaker 6: Just now that you've fun, you didn't you knew? Well,
- 2:54Speaker 6: just now that it's happened. Just what's the moment like
- 2:57Speaker 6: for you? Is it different than other experience with different teams?
- 3:01Speaker 4: For sure?
- 3:03Speaker 3: But you know, whenever I talked to Steph and Dre
- 3:06Speaker 3: and Steve and Mike before I even got here, I
- 3:09Speaker 3: was telling him I can help. Now, I don't know
- 3:12Speaker 3: what men are that I can help, but we're gonna
- 3:16Speaker 3: make the playoffs. I feel like I can give any team,
- 3:21Speaker 3: for sure, this one a chance to win, and they
- 3:25Speaker 3: believe it.
- 3:26Speaker 1: I believe it. And that's all that you can ask for. Now.
- 3:28Speaker 3: We just got to go out there and execute, play
- 3:30Speaker 3: our tails off and uh and win some some more
- 3:33Speaker 3: basketball games.
- 3:35Speaker 5: You've you've seen what he's done in the past. I
- 3:37Speaker 5: just asked Harry about it. What does the nickname playoff
- 3:39Speaker 5: Jimmy mean to you?
- 3:40Speaker 1: Though? Different? Like he's different. You can just see a
- 3:48Speaker 1: whole different intensity level and focus.
- 3:50Speaker 7: And you know, we've I'm a basketball fan, you know,
- 3:54Speaker 7: so I've watched it on TV for years.
- 3:57Speaker 1: To see it up close and personal, like it's a
- 3:59Speaker 1: real thing.
- 4:00Speaker 2: You know.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Sometimes you get an NBA and like.
- 4:02Speaker 7: These guys come get these nicknames and you're like, man,
- 4:05Speaker 7: stop it.
- 4:06Speaker 1: Like there's some other nicknames out there, they're not real.
- 4:11Speaker 7: That one's real And I'm happy to here on our side.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Dre.
- 4:16Speaker 8: My last game, you said that everybody needed to step up,
- 4:19Speaker 8: which obviously they did, and you've been completely vocal and
- 4:22Speaker 8: people obviously look to you for leadership. So did you
- 4:25Speaker 8: have any type of talks with anybody on the team
- 4:29Speaker 8: to say, like how important this game was.
- 4:31Speaker 7: You have a couple of sidebar conversations with guys that
- 4:34Speaker 7: you see fit with.
- 4:35Speaker 1: I think it's more so port confidence in more than anything.
- 4:39Speaker 7: You know, we have an interest in balance, We have
- 4:42Speaker 7: a lot of experience and then kind of none at all,
- 4:45Speaker 7: you know, And so I think most importantly is reassuring reassuring.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Our young guys that it's the same game.
- 4:57Speaker 7: The moment get bigger, the game don't change, and you
- 4:59Speaker 7: know a lot of them has never been in this
- 5:01Speaker 7: position before. So uh, just you know, really make sure
- 5:07Speaker 7: you're reinstilled in that confidence. Hey, Draymond, how do you
- 5:13Speaker 7: balance the rest and recovery over these next four days
- 5:15Speaker 7: with preparing for Houston? And you know, we'll pretty veteran team.
- 5:20Speaker 7: You kind of know what it takes to get your
- 5:22Speaker 7: body ready to go. The positive is you don't have
- 5:27Speaker 7: to have your body ready to go to Sunday. And
- 5:30Speaker 7: I trust that everybody will know what it is that
- 5:33Speaker 7: they need and be professionals and get it done.
- 5:37Speaker 9: Truman, you just said you're a fan.
- 5:40Speaker 1: Is this team?
- 5:42Speaker 9: Are you guys a team that people like to watch?
- 5:45Speaker 9: Is this like America's team? It seems like you put
- 5:48Speaker 9: on a show.
- 5:48Speaker 1: You know, Steph Curry played here.
- 5:51Speaker 7: It's the greatest show on hardwood over the last ten years.
- 5:55Speaker 1: So yeah, I think so, I know, I like watching
- 6:00Speaker 1: stuff play.
- 6:01Speaker 7: So and I'm kind of a basketball up here, so
- 6:05Speaker 7: I know the rest of the world I really appreciate it.
- 6:07Speaker 1: But yeah, I think there's no surprise.
- 6:11Speaker 7: Steph Curry has been the best show in basketball for
- 6:13Speaker 7: the last ten years and that hasn't slowed down a
- 6:16Speaker 7: bit at all.
- 6:17Speaker 1: I think the numbers will probably back that up.
- 6:19Speaker 7: I don't necessarily know what the numbers are, but I'm
- 6:23Speaker 7: pretty sure the numbers probably back it up.
- 6:26Speaker 9: But granted, but he's not just the one man show.
- 6:29Speaker 9: There's more to it. There's you Jimmy.
- 6:31Speaker 1: Now, Jimmy's different playoff Jimmy.
- 6:34Speaker 7: We just spoke about him, but we also have a
- 6:36Speaker 7: coach that make the game beautiful.
- 6:39Speaker 1: You know.
- 6:40Speaker 7: The system that you know, he's implemented here over the
- 6:42Speaker 7: last ten years was unlike one we had ever seen
- 6:48Speaker 7: before in this league. You know, it was kind of
- 6:50Speaker 7: a mixture of some greats that he played for watched
- 6:56Speaker 7: for years, and his own twist. And so I think,
- 7:02Speaker 7: you know, it's it's it's definitely not just one person. Uh,
- 7:07Speaker 7: but we're not going to fool ourselves and act like
- 7:09Speaker 7: it's the same without that one person either.
- 7:11Speaker 1: You know, he's a driving force to it for sure,
