- 0:03Speaker 1: Welcome to the house. We're so glad you joined us today.
- 0:07Speaker 1: Choosing to tune in to dis serment was not by accident.
- 0:11Speaker 1: And I believe God has a word just for you.
- 0:14Speaker 2: That's right. God is always using the people of this
- 0:18Speaker 2: house to speak his word. So, whether you're watching from
- 0:21Speaker 2: across the street, or maybe you are across the world,
- 0:25Speaker 2: if you are not, just if you are, you are
- 0:27Speaker 2: our family.
- 0:29Speaker 1: And we believe that worship doesn't have walls, and experiencing
- 0:33Speaker 1: the goodness of God's spirit doesn't always require a commute.
- 0:38Speaker 2: So are you ready to join us as we fellowship
- 0:42Speaker 2: and unite in spirit and in truth. I want your
- 0:45Speaker 2: hearts to be open because we are going to encounter
- 0:49Speaker 2: God together.
- 0:51Speaker 1: Heymen, we see you, we love you, and we believe
- 0:55Speaker 1: this word is going to change your life.
- 1:02Speaker 3: Exodus, chapter seventeen, verse one through six. It is so
- 1:05Speaker 3: good to see you this morning. It's just good to
- 1:11Speaker 3: see you. You didn't have to be here this morning.
- 1:15Speaker 3: I didn't have to be here this morning, but God
- 1:18Speaker 3: was good enough to let our moments roll on. You
- 1:23Speaker 3: ought to say yes, somebody, We're going to start reading
- 1:27Speaker 3: of the first verse of the seventeenth chapter of the
- 1:30Speaker 3: book of Exodus. The Book of Exodus describes the exit
- 1:36Speaker 3: of the children of Israel out from the bondage of
- 1:39Speaker 3: the Egyptians, where they had been oppressed for four hundred years.
- 1:45Speaker 3: They had lived in Egypt for four hundred and thirty years.
- 1:49Speaker 3: The first thirty years they were not oppressed. But when
- 1:53Speaker 3: Joseph died and another pharaoh came in, a pharaoh that
- 1:57Speaker 3: knew not Joseph nor his God, and to oppress them.
- 2:01Speaker 3: People are change on you want them. And they lived
- 2:06Speaker 3: in oppression for four hundred years. I know you can't
- 2:10Speaker 3: imagine four hundred years. I can't either. That's a long
- 2:14Speaker 3: time to live up under oppression. And they had almost
- 2:17Speaker 3: forgotten who they were, their customs, their ceremonies, their language,
- 2:22Speaker 3: their rituals. But they cried unto God in a haphazard way,
- 2:28Speaker 3: not knowing fully what to call him, how to use
- 2:32Speaker 3: its name, how to stand on his word. But He
- 2:34Speaker 3: heard the cry. He told Moses, how I heard the
- 2:37Speaker 3: cry of my children. Go down into Egypt and tell
- 2:42Speaker 3: Froh to let my people go. God is gonna release
- 2:46Speaker 3: somebody any here today. I feel it. I feel it.
- 2:50Speaker 3: I feel it. I feel that God's gonna release somebody
- 2:52Speaker 3: any here today, and so they left out of Egypt,
- 2:57Speaker 3: going into the Promised Land way of the desert. God
- 3:03Speaker 3: doesn't always let you choose what route he takes you
- 3:07Speaker 3: to deliver you. It's not always comfortable, it's not always convenient,
- 3:14Speaker 3: it's not always cool. And just because you get out
- 3:16Speaker 3: of one trouble don't mean you won't have to face
- 3:19Speaker 3: another one. Because they got out of one kind of
- 3:23Speaker 3: hell to run into another one. Now they're going through
- 3:26Speaker 3: the desert and it is scorching hot during the day,
- 3:30Speaker 3: hot enough to die in the walk during the day,
- 3:33Speaker 3: and it is freezing cold at night. But they were free.
- 3:44Speaker 3: But they were free. Look at somebody, say, I still
- 3:48Speaker 3: got problems, but I'm free. Yeah, yeah, everything is not
- 3:59Speaker 3: going right, but I'm free. Yeah yeah yeah. My money's
- 4:04Speaker 3: kind of funny, but I'm free. My husband walked out
- 4:08Speaker 3: on me, but I'm free. My parents are sick, but
- 4:14Speaker 3: I'm free. My refrigerators half full, but I'm free. And
- 4:19Speaker 3: I have learned whatever state I'm in, therewith to be condenned.
- 4:22Speaker 3: That's majority when you can praise God when everything at
- 4:26Speaker 3: quite right. We interject into the experience at a time
- 4:34Speaker 3: and at the moment that they are adjusting to a
- 4:38Speaker 3: new reality. And I chose this text. I believe the
- 4:43Speaker 3: Lord put it on my heart because we are adjusting
- 4:48Speaker 3: to a new reality. It's not that the past was perfect,
- 4:53Speaker 3: but now we have a new kind of problem to fight,
- 4:57Speaker 3: and it's going to take a new kind of ingenuity
- 5:00Speaker 3: and new kind of wisdom and new kind of power
- 5:03Speaker 3: to be able to deal with it. And Moses is
- 5:06Speaker 3: trying to lead a people who are one displaced and
- 5:12Speaker 3: two confused, and three frustrated, and they're not sure of
- 5:18Speaker 3: their leaders, and they're not sure of themselves, and they're
- 5:24Speaker 3: not sure of God because they had not walked with
- 5:28Speaker 3: them long enough. See, you have to walk through God,
- 5:31Speaker 3: through a whole lot of situations to be sure of God.
- 5:36Speaker 3: Anybody can be sure of God when all the bills
- 5:38Speaker 3: are paid and your body's feeling good, and your kidneys
- 5:41Speaker 3: are working right, and you've got no cancer. But when
- 5:44Speaker 3: all hell is breaking loose, the devil has a tendency
- 5:48Speaker 3: to say, where is your God? Now? Am I talking
- 5:52Speaker 3: right to somebody in the ears? And the verse one says,
- 5:56Speaker 3: and and all the congregation of the children of Israel
- 6:00Speaker 3: journey from the wilderness of sin after their journeys according
- 6:06Speaker 3: to the commandment of the Lord, and pitched in Refidum,
- 6:11Speaker 3: which was a little camp in the wilderness, and there
- 6:14Speaker 3: was no water for the people to drink. Wherefore, because
- 6:19Speaker 3: of the fact that there was no water for them
- 6:21Speaker 3: to drink, the people did chide with Moses. See, whenever
- 6:26Speaker 3: things get tight, people get nasty. I better not start
- 6:33Speaker 3: under this text. I'm gonna start. The reason there's so
- 6:38Speaker 3: much vitriol in this country right now is that things
- 6:41Speaker 3: have tightened up a little bit. And when people get tight,
- 6:44Speaker 3: they need somebody to blame. So they want to blame
- 6:49Speaker 3: this folk and that folk, and this person and that person.
- 6:53Speaker 3: And so they begin to blame Moses and to begin
- 6:55Speaker 3: to pick on him and chide him, and said, give
- 6:58Speaker 3: us water that we may drink. And Moses said, under
- 7:02Speaker 3: them way, chide ye with me? How did you ever
- 7:05Speaker 3: wanted to say that to somebody? Let me translate it
- 7:09Speaker 3: into you bodies? Why you fooling with me? You want
- 7:16Speaker 3: some of this? Don't start nothing, won't be nothing. Don't
- 7:24Speaker 3: make the nice man mad? Why childe ye with me?
- 7:29Speaker 3: Wherefore do ye tempt the Lord? If you chide with me,
- 7:33Speaker 3: you temp God? If you mess with me, you mess
- 7:40Speaker 3: with God. You may think I'm in here by myself,
- 7:45Speaker 3: but I'm surrounded by God all around me. And the
- 7:51Speaker 3: people thirst it there for water, and the people murmured
- 7:56Speaker 3: against Mother. Those two things go together, thirst and gossip first,
- 8:05Speaker 3: and murmuring. See, when you are satisfied, a whole lot
- 8:09Speaker 3: of things don't stick to you. But when you are
- 8:12Speaker 3: not satisfied in your own life, you have a tendency
- 8:16Speaker 3: to be cynical, to be condescending, to be acrimonious, to
- 8:23Speaker 3: have the kind of attitude and disposition that you are
- 8:26Speaker 3: hard to get along with. You have to understand then
- 8:30Speaker 3: that when people are mean to you, they are mad
- 8:33Speaker 3: at themselves. I'm preaching, I'm preaching her. I'm just reading
- 8:40Speaker 3: the text. Lord, have mercy. Let me go on about
- 8:43Speaker 3: my business. They murmured against Moses and said, wherefore is
- 8:48Speaker 3: this that thou hast brought us up out of Egypt?
- 8:52Speaker 3: Now they was in slavery, So anything's got to be
- 8:55Speaker 3: an upgrade to kill us and our children and our
- 9:02Speaker 3: cattle with thirst. And Moses cried unto the Lord. You
- 9:08Speaker 3: can say things that make men of God cry unto God.
- 9:14Speaker 3: You can say things that make women of God cry
- 9:17Speaker 3: unto God. And when they cry on to God, something
- 9:20Speaker 3: is going to happen. He said, what shall I do
- 9:24Speaker 3: unto this people? They be almost ready to stone me.
- 9:29Speaker 3: And the Lord said, under Moses, go on before the
- 9:33Speaker 3: people and take with thee of the elders of Israel.
- 9:37Speaker 3: And thy rod were with thou smotest the river. Take
- 9:41Speaker 3: in thy hand and go take your rod and go
- 9:45Speaker 3: in front of the people. Behold, I will send I
- 9:49Speaker 3: will stand before thee there upon the rock in horror,
- 9:54Speaker 3: and thou shalt smite the rock. I want you to
- 9:58Speaker 3: pay attention to that. I want you to take your
- 10:01Speaker 3: rod and smite the rock. Lord, they thirsty while you
- 10:07Speaker 3: got me hitting rocks. Have you ever had God give
- 10:11Speaker 3: you an answer that didn't make no sense. You talking
- 10:15Speaker 3: to him about the rent and he's telling you to
- 10:17Speaker 3: give water to the puppies. Sometimes God will command you
- 10:23Speaker 3: to do something that don't seem like it has nothing
- 10:25Speaker 3: to do with your situation. But he said, I want
- 10:28Speaker 3: you to smite the rock. That's why when Pastor was
- 10:31Speaker 3: talking about obedience, he was really hitting on something. Sometimes
- 10:35Speaker 3: God will tell you something that don't make sense to you.
- 10:37Speaker 3: It passes all understanding. You can't stand under it, but
- 10:42Speaker 3: you gotta obeyed. Smite the rocks. Take your rod, take
- 10:49Speaker 3: your stick and hit the rock, and there shall come
- 10:53Speaker 3: water out of it. Oh, I could dance right there,
- 10:57Speaker 3: because I've never seen a rock. There was supposed to
- 11:00Speaker 3: be a water cooler. But God said, if you obey me,
- 11:05Speaker 3: I'll make things that's not supposed to bless you. Let
- 11:12Speaker 3: me tell y'all, if you obey me, I'll give you
- 11:15Speaker 3: jobs that you're not supposed to have. If you obey me,
- 11:20Speaker 3: I'll give you the kind of spouse that makes folks
- 11:23Speaker 3: jealous when you walk in. And they said, what is
- 11:26Speaker 3: she doing with him? God said, I'm gonna bring water
- 11:30Speaker 3: out of it that the people may drink. And Moses
- 11:33Speaker 3: did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.
- 11:36Speaker 3: Can you say, a man, I'm interested in that. Take
- 11:41Speaker 3: your rod and smite the rock. And my subject this
- 11:44Speaker 3: morning remains standing. I'm going to pray, but my subject
- 11:47Speaker 3: this morning is sticks and stones. Sticks and stones, my God,
- 12:00Speaker 3: feel something in this place. Spirit of the Living God,
- 12:03Speaker 3: fall fresh in this place right now. I thank you
- 12:07Speaker 3: for what you're going to do. Move in the midst
- 12:10Speaker 3: of your people. Great God that you are in the
- 12:12Speaker 3: mighty name of Jesus, we pray somebody shout thunderously. Amen,
- 12:20Speaker 3: you may be seated, or y'all sound like the part
- 12:24Speaker 3: of that. You sound like the part of somebody shout Amen,
- 12:32Speaker 3: serve my job. I have been in Dallas for the
- 12:40Speaker 3: last thirty years. I was raised in Charleston, West Virginia.
- 12:46Speaker 3: I am sixty nine years old. Come June. I have
- 12:55Speaker 3: been preaching for nearly fifty years. It'll be fifty years
- 12:58Speaker 3: in September. Fifty years of preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
- 13:05Speaker 3: But when I was a boy, I grew up on
- 13:08Speaker 3: the side of a hill in the area we called
- 13:11Speaker 3: Vandehlia in Charleston, West Virginia. And our house was the
- 13:16Speaker 3: last house before the heel dropped over the cliff, and
- 13:21Speaker 3: so we went from time to time go play. Now,
- 13:27Speaker 3: I cannot remember a toy that I had that plugged up.
- 13:38Speaker 3: I know y'all don't understand this. I'm gonna say that again.
- 13:41Speaker 3: I cannot remember a toy I had that plugged up.
- 13:46Speaker 3: No Nintendos, no nothing, no, no, no laptops, no, nothing
- 13:51Speaker 3: like that. I might have got a train set one time,
- 13:54Speaker 3: but most of it. Most of it didn't plug up,
- 13:58Speaker 3: most of it didn't have batteries. We had very few
- 14:01Speaker 3: toys that came out of the store. You might get
- 14:07Speaker 3: a plastic train, you know that you could run back
- 14:11Speaker 3: and forth, and my sister would get a doll baby
- 14:13Speaker 3: or something like that. But most of the time Mama
- 14:16Speaker 3: would send us out with no toys, and she would
- 14:19Speaker 3: tell us go outside and play. Now, you don't hear
- 14:25Speaker 3: too many mamas telling their children to go outside and
- 14:28Speaker 3: play today because they're especially in Dallas, because it's hot outside.
- 14:34Speaker 3: But the reason we didn't mind going outside to play
- 14:37Speaker 3: is because it was hot inside. I'm gonna talk to
- 14:44Speaker 3: y' all. They booze you over there. Let me when
- 14:49Speaker 3: the house is hot, it's a different kind of hot
- 14:53Speaker 3: from the hot outside because at leaf a little breeze
- 14:56Speaker 3: will blow every now and then, or you can get
- 14:59Speaker 3: up under a tray a shade tree. But when that
- 15:02Speaker 3: house gets the smoking and you start feeling like a
- 15:05Speaker 3: turkey and you start basting in your own juices, it
- 15:10Speaker 3: was hot in the house. It was hot in the house.
- 15:14Speaker 3: There There was no air conditioning for a long time,
- 15:18Speaker 3: and there was just a fan. One would be turned
- 15:21Speaker 3: this way and one would be turned the other way,
- 15:24Speaker 3: and they were trying to be scientific, you know, to
- 15:27Speaker 3: get a breeze to blow through the house. And and
- 15:30Speaker 3: that was normal. Last year, the power went out in Dallas,
- 15:35Speaker 3: and I almost had a fit. I said, oh God,
- 15:40Speaker 3: if you don't turn this electricity back on, I'm gonna
- 15:43Speaker 3: die right where I am. And then it occurred to me,
- 15:47Speaker 3: fool you was raised in a hot house. I had
- 15:52Speaker 3: forgotten where I came from. I had forgotten what God
- 15:56Speaker 3: had done. I had forgotten how to withstand this comfort.
- 16:01Speaker 3: And a few days of discomfort didn't compare to decades
- 16:05Speaker 3: of living in that hot house. It was so hot
- 16:09Speaker 3: we got where we didn't pay no attention. Hot was normal.
- 16:15Speaker 3: My name's house was hot. The pages that lived up
- 16:19Speaker 3: the street, their house was hot. Miss Hutchinson's house was hot. Everybody.
- 16:23Speaker 3: Miss Timberleck's house was hot. Everybody on the street lived
- 16:27Speaker 3: in a house that was hot. And we still sang,
- 16:30Speaker 3: and we still got along, and we still had fun,
- 16:33Speaker 3: and we still had life, and we still got up
- 16:36Speaker 3: in the morning, and we were still brothers and sisters,
- 16:39Speaker 3: and we're still together today. In spite of the heat,
- 16:42Speaker 3: everything didn't have to go your way. For you to
- 16:46Speaker 3: have people, mamm would sent us outside to play with
- 16:49Speaker 3: already told you no kind of toys or nothing, And
- 16:52Speaker 3: you would grab some sticks and make them into bowls
- 16:57Speaker 3: and arrows. And you don't know what I'm talking about.
- 17:02Speaker 3: You would you would make some castles out of rocks
- 17:05Speaker 3: or or sand. One year, I had a magnifying glass.
- 17:09Speaker 3: I was chasing hands. Not too long ago, I sent
- 17:19Speaker 3: one of my grandchildren outside to play. I bought him
- 17:23Speaker 3: a little motorbike, a little mud bike, and I sent
- 17:27Speaker 3: him outside to play. He played for a minute or two, yeah,
- 17:31Speaker 3: and then he will back around and went back in
- 17:34Speaker 3: the house and got on his iPad. And I thought,
- 17:39Speaker 3: don't you want to play outside? But see he was
- 17:41Speaker 3: raised inside in comfort, in air conditioning, with iPads, and
- 17:48Speaker 3: he knew how to run the iPad. But he didn't
- 17:50Speaker 3: know much about withstanding heat. There is there anybody in
- 17:59Speaker 3: here that knows something about with sand and heat. See,
- 18:07Speaker 3: people who live in a hot house don't cook till
- 18:10Speaker 3: it's later at night. That's why we started cooking the oven.
- 18:15Speaker 3: We started cooking turkeys at night because it was too
- 18:19Speaker 3: hot during the day to heat up the house. Cooking
- 18:22Speaker 3: a turkey or baking a cake, or doing anything. So
- 18:25Speaker 3: your mama did all the bacon at night when the
- 18:27Speaker 3: house had cooled down. Y'all don't understand the however, I
- 18:31Speaker 3: have to explain this to you. This was before Jiffy cornbread,
- 18:37Speaker 3: This was before quick grits. We just made do with
- 18:41Speaker 3: what we had and went on about our business. These
- 18:45Speaker 3: children that I'm preaching about, they was like me. They
- 18:49Speaker 3: was out there in the wilderness. I played in the
- 18:52Speaker 3: wilderness with sticks and stones. I played in the creek bed,
- 18:58Speaker 3: pulling rocks out of creeks, trying to catch salamanders, and
- 19:03Speaker 3: y'all don't know what I'm talking about. I played with
- 19:06Speaker 3: boxes and caught toads and brought them back home to Mama,
- 19:11Speaker 3: and brought a turtle back in the house. Those were
- 19:14Speaker 3: my toys that I played with because I was raised
- 19:17Speaker 3: in the wilderness. Now it's hard to hurt somebody that's
- 19:23Speaker 3: been raised in the wilderness, because when you've been raised
- 19:30Speaker 3: in the wilderness, what would send other people back home?
- 19:33Speaker 3: You can take it. All you got to do is
- 19:36Speaker 3: default back to where you came from and said, I'm
- 19:40Speaker 3: gonna be all right. Somebody said, how could you preach
- 19:44Speaker 3: in the church for two years and it was empty.
- 19:46Speaker 3: I said, oh, that wasn't no problem. I was raised
- 19:49Speaker 3: preaching in a church that didn't have no people. If
- 19:56Speaker 3: I had seven people, it was a big crowd. We
- 20:01Speaker 3: might have had thirty people on Easter, counting pregnant people
- 20:05Speaker 3: and dead folks. And I know how to make the
- 20:11Speaker 3: best out of a bad situation. And I'm not ashamed
- 20:16Speaker 3: of that. I'm not ashamed of that. That's given me sticktuitiveness, stability.
- 20:24Speaker 3: That's given me fight, and drive and tenacity. That's given
- 20:29Speaker 3: me a certain relentlessness. That's given me an attitude. I
- 20:33Speaker 3: don't have to have a Hammon B three. I can
- 20:36Speaker 3: have an upright piano with a microphone struck down and
- 20:39Speaker 3: and tied to an amplifier, and start my foot and
- 20:43Speaker 3: still praise the Lord. I could have a triangle and
- 20:46Speaker 3: a washboard and start praising the Lord with a washboard,
- 20:50Speaker 3: and we would bring down more glory with a washboard
- 20:53Speaker 3: than you all do with all this technology you got
- 20:56Speaker 3: right now, I don't have to have I can be
- 20:58Speaker 3: in my house, in my living room. I can be
- 21:01Speaker 3: in my car with no music at all and get
- 21:04Speaker 3: happy all by myself. I can get happy in the bathtub.
- 21:08Speaker 3: I can start speaking in tongues in my car because
- 21:11Speaker 3: I wasn't raised with all of this fans and stuff.
- 21:14Speaker 3: I was raised where the praises of God was in
- 21:17Speaker 3: your mouth and you didn't have to plug it up.
- 21:20Speaker 3: It would just come out of your out of your
- 21:23Speaker 3: belly would float rivers. So the children of the Isri
- 21:31Speaker 3: were adjusting to the heat of the desert. They were
- 21:36Speaker 3: used to being slaves. They didn't like it, but they
- 21:41Speaker 3: were used to it. They had had four hundred years
- 21:43Speaker 3: of it, which is ten generations, ten generations of slavery.
- 21:51Speaker 3: And they asked God to deliver them. And sometimes we
- 21:54Speaker 3: ask God to deliver us, and we think that deliverance
- 21:56Speaker 3: is going to be comfortable. Prince was not comfortable. Faivorah
- 22:02Speaker 3: was chasing them, trying to get them back. Deliverance brought
- 22:07Speaker 3: them to the Red Sea, a stoppable place. They got
- 22:12Speaker 3: to a stoppable place being delivered. Some of you have
- 22:17Speaker 3: asked God to deliver you and now you're at a
- 22:19Speaker 3: stoppable place, but you don't understand that God's miracles are
- 22:24Speaker 3: generally in stoppable places. And so Moses, being a young
- 22:29Speaker 3: leader himself, not having had much experience leading people, not
- 22:35Speaker 3: being familiar with people that he's related to, is trying
- 22:39Speaker 3: to lead them through a stoppable place. And he says, God,
- 22:42Speaker 3: what am I going to do? Faivorah is behind me,
- 22:45Speaker 3: and the mountains are on either side of me, and
- 22:47Speaker 3: we have no weapons. I got a bunch of farmers
- 22:50Speaker 3: with me, and they're murmuring against me. And God said
- 22:53Speaker 3: to him, what is that in your hand? So God
- 22:58Speaker 3: had given him, let me go back. Savo had four
- 23:02Speaker 3: hundred chosen chariots. That was the best fleet he had
- 23:08Speaker 3: for warfare. They were riding on chariots and horses with
- 23:13Speaker 3: swords and shields. And God gave Moses a stick. God
- 23:23Speaker 3: must have a sense of humor. And God said it
- 23:27Speaker 3: like he had a nuclear bomb or something. What is
- 23:30Speaker 3: that in your hand? He said it like it was
- 23:34Speaker 3: an atomic bomb? What is that in your hand? Moses said,
- 23:37Speaker 3: I got a stick? God said, lift up what you got.
- 23:41Speaker 3: Touch somebody and say lift up what you got. Don't
- 23:45Speaker 3: wait for things to get better, don't wait for things
- 23:48Speaker 3: to get nice. Don't wait for you to have confidence
- 23:51Speaker 3: in your weapon. If you don't have nothing better, stick,
- 23:53Speaker 3: lift up the stick. Moses is just learning what the
- 23:57Speaker 3: stick will do. He has practiced a little bit into
- 24:00Speaker 3: the wilderness. He's done a few things with Jeth, throw
- 24:04Speaker 3: out of the wilderness where God was showing him how
- 24:07Speaker 3: to work what he had. Sometimes, God will put you
- 24:09Speaker 3: in isolation to teach you how to work what you got.
- 24:14Speaker 3: He'll give you a dress rehearsal a practice. And God
- 24:18Speaker 3: had told Moses, put your hand in your bosom, and
- 24:21Speaker 3: it came out white as snow, pour out water, and
- 24:24Speaker 3: it turned the blood. He said, throw down your stick,
- 24:27Speaker 3: and it turned to a serpent. Grabbed the serpent by
- 24:30Speaker 3: the tail and it turned to his stick. To the idolaus
- 24:32Speaker 3: right then, because when God said grab the serpent by
- 24:35Speaker 3: the tail, the miracle would have been over right then, okay,
- 24:41Speaker 3: But grab the serpent by the tail, and it turned
- 24:44Speaker 3: into a stick. So he has a weapon that he
- 24:47Speaker 3: is still learning how to use. So fast forward. When
- 24:52Speaker 3: he comes down to the Red Sea. God is still
- 24:55Speaker 3: examining you. Trying to get him to examine what is
- 24:59Speaker 3: in his hand. He said, Lord, I got this rod
- 25:01Speaker 3: in my hand. He said, stretched forth to rod. Lord,
- 25:05Speaker 3: the Phayroh's coming, and he got cherriots. And I can
- 25:12Speaker 3: hear the hoof Prince galloping behind me. God said, I
- 25:16Speaker 3: don't care about what you hear in your senses. Obey
- 25:20Speaker 3: my word and stretch forth what's in your hand. I'm
- 25:24Speaker 3: preaching to somebody already. I don't know who it is.
- 25:27Speaker 3: Your senses are telling you one thing, but your spirit
- 25:30Speaker 3: is telling you something else. And so Modes stretched forth
- 25:34Speaker 3: his rod. There's nothing but a stick. And the Bible
- 25:38Speaker 3: said that the waters started this way and that way,
- 25:41Speaker 3: and he made the water stand that attention, and said
- 25:45Speaker 3: when Modes stepped down into the when he stepped down
- 25:49Speaker 3: into the red sea, he stepped down into dry ground. Yo,
- 25:54Speaker 3: your dad, see you still struck at the fact that
- 25:58Speaker 3: the water stood up. You haven't even gotten to the
- 26:01Speaker 3: fact that who dried up the land that was sitting
- 26:05Speaker 3: up under the water. Will God not drive the land
- 26:08Speaker 3: for you and make a way out of no way
- 26:10Speaker 3: and put you in a position that he'll make your
- 26:13Speaker 3: pathway smooth? He'll make your path I wish I had
- 26:17Speaker 3: a witness where God made some smooth that you thought
- 26:20Speaker 3: was gonna be hard, and God brought them through on
- 26:23Speaker 3: dry ground. Having brought them through on dry ground, God
- 26:28Speaker 3: now has them in a position where they come out
- 26:31Speaker 3: on the other side. By the time Pharaoh gets to
- 26:35Speaker 3: the Red Sea, the walls are collapsing, the drag ground
- 26:40Speaker 3: has turned the mud, and they are drowning in the
- 26:43Speaker 3: Red Sea. They are drowning in what you walk through.
- 26:53Speaker 3: I said, they are drowning in what you walk through.
- 26:57Speaker 3: They are drowning in what you walk through. Ma'am. You
- 27:00Speaker 3: know what she did. She started she grabbed the tambourine.
- 27:05Speaker 3: I wish somebody had one. Yeah, yeah, yeah, she grabbed
- 27:09Speaker 3: a tambourine and start doing like that. Yeah. She started
- 27:15Speaker 3: beating their tambourines like that. She praised as a weapon.
- 27:22Speaker 3: And the more she beat the tambourine, the more Federal's
- 27:27Speaker 3: army drowned in the Red Sea. Y'all, don't hear what
- 27:31Speaker 3: I'm talking to you about. Glory to God. If you
- 27:34Speaker 3: would just start praising God over them bills, God would
- 27:38Speaker 3: drown them bills and dry ground. If you would start
- 27:42Speaker 3: praising God in the hospital, I know they gonna think
- 27:45Speaker 3: you're crazy, But if you just just just give that
- 27:47Speaker 3: tambourine a couple of taps sitting there, God would do
- 27:51Speaker 3: something with their cancer. He would move that tumor, he
- 27:54Speaker 3: would shrink that disease. Because greater is he that is
- 27:57Speaker 3: in you, then he that is in the world. Earl,
- 28:00Speaker 3: I wish I had a witness in here. You didn't
- 28:03Speaker 3: have nothing better praise. But while you were praising God,
- 28:07Speaker 3: don't you know while you're praising God, God is drowning
- 28:11Speaker 3: your enemies. If you knew what I'm talking about, you
- 28:17Speaker 3: would dance right where you are. Because when you start
- 28:21Speaker 3: praising God, devil start driving. When you start praising God,
- 28:26Speaker 3: bodies get healed. When you start praising God, God starts
- 28:31Speaker 3: opening doors. We're not just dancing to be dancing. We're
- 28:35Speaker 3: in a fight. Say I'm not dancing because I got
- 28:39Speaker 3: new shoes. I'll kick off my shoes and dance barefooted
- 28:43Speaker 3: because I'm in a fight. Anybody in a fight given
- 28:48Speaker 3: about fifteen seconds of warfare, praise whoafair pair in this
- 29:01Speaker 3: slave warfair, in the balcony warfare, in the bak warfare,
- 29:07Speaker 3: in this place, I'm gone dad, while the devil browns,
- 29:15Speaker 3: I'm gonna da. While they drowned, and God brought them through,
- 29:24Speaker 3: the Bible said he brought them through on the eagle swings.
- 29:29Speaker 3: He gave them first pass service. He brought them through
- 29:33Speaker 3: on eagle swings. Now they have made it through the desert.
- 29:39Speaker 3: They have survived slavery. They went in slaves and came
- 29:43Speaker 3: out suns. Y'all did get that. They went in slaves
- 29:49Speaker 3: and came out sons. They were baptized on to Moses
- 29:53Speaker 3: in the cloud and under the sea. There was a
- 29:56Speaker 3: cloud above them. There was water all around it. God
- 29:59Speaker 3: calls it back baptism. Some of the things you call trouble,
- 30:02Speaker 3: God calls baptism. And they come out on the other side.
- 30:07Speaker 3: And the problem is they're in the wilderness. And said
- 30:12Speaker 3: they're in the wilderness and they're thirsty. Now you've been
- 30:16Speaker 3: a slave, You had to make bricks with no straw,
- 30:22Speaker 3: you built pyramids and had all kinds of warfare, and
- 30:26Speaker 3: now you're complaining because you're thirsty, and they tied it
- 30:32Speaker 3: against Moses. Thirsty people are angry people. I want to
- 30:41Speaker 3: drive that in real deep. I realized I said it before,
- 30:45Speaker 3: but I'm gonna say it again. Thirsty people are angry people.
- 30:49Speaker 3: Sometimes even if you give them some water, it will
- 30:52Speaker 3: not stop the anger because the thirst is not coming
- 30:56Speaker 3: for the lack of water. The thirst is coming because
- 30:59Speaker 3: they are angry people. They're frustrated people and they'll take
- 31:03Speaker 3: it out on you because they need something to brain.
- 31:07Speaker 3: I was studying on the human brain, and the study
- 31:10Speaker 3: that I was reading said, the human brain, if it
- 31:13Speaker 3: cannot find a reason to explain the turmoil, will make
- 31:18Speaker 3: up a reason because it needs to rationalize to you
- 31:22Speaker 3: why you are going through what you're going through. So
- 31:25Speaker 3: you can't even trust what you're thinking sometimes, because sometimes
- 31:30Speaker 3: you're thinking just so you'll have something to be mad at.
- 31:37Speaker 3: You'll be mad at the immigrants, you be mad at
- 31:40Speaker 3: white people. You be mad at black people. You'll be
- 31:43Speaker 3: mad at short people. You'll be mad at fat people,
- 31:47Speaker 3: you be mad at anybody to explain why you're there. Therefore,
- 31:50Speaker 3: for you feel justified to be in your condition because
- 31:54Speaker 3: you have blamed somebody for that condition. So they blame Moses.
- 32:00Speaker 3: It wasn't Moses' job to get them some water, but
- 32:03Speaker 3: they blamed Moses for bringing them out there where there
- 32:07Speaker 3: was no water. And Moses cried out to God and said,
- 32:11Speaker 3: why are the people chatting me? Why they're chatting me,
- 32:17Speaker 3: why they're chatting against you? And God told Moses, I'm
- 32:22Speaker 3: going to show you something else. I'm going to do
- 32:25Speaker 3: something with your stick that's never been done before. And
- 32:29Speaker 3: the Lord told me to come here and tell you
- 32:31Speaker 3: this morning that he's going to do something with your
- 32:34Speaker 3: stick that's never been been done before. There is a
- 32:41Speaker 3: relationship set up in this text that is a preview
- 32:46Speaker 3: of cavalry between the stone and the sticks. You can't
- 32:52Speaker 3: see it because it's in the shadows, but there's something
- 32:55Speaker 3: there between the stone and the stick. Deliverance always happens
- 33:00Speaker 3: whenever you see a stone or a stick. There's something
- 33:03Speaker 3: about the way God moves to a stone or a stick,
- 33:07Speaker 3: and he has a way of opening up a door.
- 33:09Speaker 3: So he told him take the stick and hit the rock,
- 33:14Speaker 3: and water is going to come out. I've been showing
- 33:22Speaker 3: you a little bit about your stick, but let me
- 33:24Speaker 3: show you a little something about your rock. Let me
- 33:26Speaker 3: tell you some God did all kinds of stuff with rocks.
- 33:32Speaker 3: David picked up rocks, smooth stones out the river banks
- 33:36Speaker 3: and killed Eliath with a rock. He didn't have a
- 33:39Speaker 3: sword or a shill. All he had was a rock.
- 33:41Speaker 3: Jacob laid his head down on a rock and the
- 33:45Speaker 3: heavens opened up. I'm talking about what God can do
- 33:48Speaker 3: with a rock. God has a way of doing things
- 33:51Speaker 3: with rocks that will blow your mind. These weapons of
- 33:54Speaker 3: our warfare are not carnal, but they're mighty through God.
- 33:59Speaker 3: It's not I'm on for water to come out of
- 34:01Speaker 3: a rock. But God has a way that if you
- 34:04Speaker 3: take the stick and you take the rock, it brings
- 34:07Speaker 3: water out of the rocks. And all through the Bible,
- 34:11Speaker 3: this pattern continues over and over again. We see God
- 34:15Speaker 3: delivering his people with rocks and with sticks. We see
- 34:20Speaker 3: God opening up doors and making waves. We see God
- 34:23Speaker 3: moving mountains. We see God opening up revelations. In fact,
- 34:28Speaker 3: we see God as a rock. The Bible said, he
- 34:31Speaker 3: is the chief corner star home. Oh y'all, don't hear
- 34:34Speaker 3: what I'm saying. Elijah's slept on it, David through it,
- 34:41Speaker 3: Moses head in it. God said, Moses, get over in
- 34:44Speaker 3: the rocks, and I'm going to cross my glory to
- 34:47Speaker 3: pass before you. Jonathan climbed through the rocks to fight
- 34:51Speaker 3: the enemy. Solomon took the rock and built the temple.
- 34:56Speaker 3: The Spies climbed over the rock. The Hebrew shouted till
- 35:01Speaker 3: the rocks came tumbling down. The Pharohes dropped their the
- 35:06Speaker 3: Pharisees drop their rocks. Y'all, don't hear me Lazarus leaps
- 35:11Speaker 3: out of the rocks. God has a way of doing
- 35:14Speaker 3: things with rocks that you don't even understand. And when
- 35:18Speaker 3: you take the stick and you put it with the rock,
- 35:21Speaker 3: Water's gonna come out. Put your nave and say, water
- 35:24Speaker 3: is about to come out. This whole pew is about
- 35:28Speaker 3: to get wet. This whole pew is about to get wet.
- 35:32Speaker 3: This this resurrection Sunday, because what God did on cavalry
- 35:38Speaker 3: is foreshadowed in the Old Testament. If you think about
- 35:42Speaker 3: the resurrection story, it is really a story about a
- 35:46Speaker 3: stick and a stone. It's just a story about a
- 35:52Speaker 3: stick and a stone. Let me tell you. In Genesis,
- 35:55Speaker 3: the Bible said that Abraham took his son, his only son, Isaac,
- 35:59Speaker 3: and he put on him the wood, that's the stick.
- 36:02Speaker 3: And he took the stick and brought it to a
- 36:05Speaker 3: stone and built an altar with the stick and a stone.
- 36:09Speaker 3: Genesis twenty two is a picture of cavalry, what God
- 36:13Speaker 3: can do with a stick and a stone. Like Isaac
- 36:16Speaker 3: carried the wood, Jesus carried the cross, but the cross
- 36:21Speaker 3: was just the stick. And the Bible said, he said,
- 36:27Speaker 3: I'm about to feel like preaching in America and the
- 36:30Speaker 3: behavior said, But Jesus understood the power of the stick,
- 36:37Speaker 3: so no man took his life. He laid it down,
- 36:41Speaker 3: but he laid it down on a stick. He knew
- 36:45Speaker 3: the power of the stick. All through the Old Testament,
- 36:48Speaker 3: it has taught us the power of the stick. Elijah
- 36:52Speaker 3: sin his stick down to the widow's house to heal
- 36:56Speaker 3: her son. The power in the stick. So Jesus laid
- 37:00Speaker 3: down on the stick, and they hung him high, and
- 37:05Speaker 3: they stretched him wide, and the Bible said, they drove
- 37:09Speaker 3: a nail into his wrist on the right side and
- 37:13Speaker 3: the left side. Then they took a spike and drove
- 37:17Speaker 3: it to both feet, symbolized the jew and the Gentile
- 37:22Speaker 3: coming together up under one gospel. And they nailed him
- 37:26Speaker 3: to the cross. But that ain't the bad part. If
- 37:30Speaker 3: they'd have left the cross laying down, I wouldn't have
- 37:33Speaker 3: been safety. But they messed up when they lifted it up,
- 37:38Speaker 3: because the Bible said, if I be lifted up from
- 37:42Speaker 3: the earth, I'll drawn me in under me. If you're
- 37:47Speaker 3: getting come out of this, give him a little prease.
- 37:57Speaker 3: They hung him from the sixth to the ninth hour.
- 38:02Speaker 3: They hung him till he hung his head in the
- 38:05Speaker 3: locks of his shoulders and died. They hung him until
- 38:11Speaker 3: raise all over Jerusalem begin open up. They hung him
- 38:17Speaker 3: and toil the bill, and the temple was rent from
- 38:19Speaker 3: the top to the bottom. They hung him to the
- 38:23Speaker 3: Old Testament painted over into the New Testament. They hung
- 38:28Speaker 3: him until the law was fulfilled. They hung him, ordering
- 38:35Speaker 3: their hanging. They hung him, Yes, they hung him, and
- 38:42Speaker 3: they hung him till he just came over to death.
- 38:46Speaker 3: He submitted to death, the death of the cross. And
- 38:51Speaker 3: he died for your sins. I'm not talking about the
- 38:56Speaker 3: sins you testify about. I'm talking about the sins don't
- 39:00Speaker 3: tell nobody about it. He died for your secret sins.
- 39:06Speaker 3: He died for your private sin. He died for your
- 39:10Speaker 3: personal sins. That's why God doesn't understand when you can
- 39:15Speaker 3: come out on Easter and not praise God, because he
- 39:19Speaker 3: knows that you know what He did in your life.
- 39:24Speaker 3: He knows what the church folk don't know that happened
- 39:29Speaker 3: to you when you was a child. He died for
- 39:33Speaker 3: a little bit of this, and he died for a
- 39:37Speaker 3: little bit of that, And he died till it was over,
- 39:41Speaker 3: and he died till it was finished, and he died
- 39:46Speaker 3: until he said, tell te Lesie, it is finished. Stop
- 39:50Speaker 3: your neighbor and say it is finished. You can talk
- 39:55Speaker 3: about it, but he's finished. You can bring it up,
- 39:59Speaker 3: but it's You can roll your hid, but it's finished.
- 40:04Speaker 3: You can post post this, but it's finished. When God
- 40:08Speaker 3: finished the suckerd it is finished. Don't expect me to
- 40:13Speaker 3: walk around with my head now, because I know it's finished.
- 40:18Speaker 3: Expect my head to be up, expect my back to
- 40:23Speaker 3: me straight. Because I know it's finished, I can come
- 40:27Speaker 3: boldly to the throne of Race and find mercy to
- 40:31Speaker 3: help me in the time of need. Because it is finished.
- 40:36Speaker 3: I can get in the House of God and felt
- 40:39Speaker 3: like I didn't do what I know I did. Because
- 40:42Speaker 3: it is finished. I wish I had about one hundred people,
- 40:47Speaker 3: but knew what I was talking about. You got to
- 40:52Speaker 3: praise it because you know what he did for you.
- 40:56Speaker 3: You know how he delivered you, you know how he
- 40:59Speaker 3: set you freeze. Grab your neighbor one time. And I say,
- 41:04Speaker 3: when I think of the goodness, when I just think
- 41:08Speaker 3: about it, when I just think about it, when I
- 41:12Speaker 3: think about where it brought me from, when I think
- 41:15Speaker 3: about domestic violence, when I think about child's a beauty.
- 41:20Speaker 3: When I think about agony, when I think about eating
- 41:24Speaker 3: tomato sandwiches, when I think about eating man Hey sandwiches,
- 41:28Speaker 3: when I think about the hell, he brought me to.
- 41:32Speaker 3: My soul, my soul, my soul, how out, Hollylujah, God,
- 41:43Speaker 3: thank God for saving me. Oh, I'm almost finished now,
- 41:50Speaker 3: I'm not gonna take as much time. But I feel
- 41:53Speaker 3: something pushing me in the back. I feel something that
- 41:56Speaker 3: stirring in my soul. The bye said that he borrowed
- 42:02Speaker 3: a grade from Joseph of Armathea. But let me understand
- 42:07Speaker 3: something here. Anytime you borrow something, you don't plan to
- 42:12Speaker 3: stay there. He borrowed it because the only one was
- 42:16Speaker 3: gonna use it for three days. When I came to
- 42:19Speaker 3: Earth on June ninth, nineteen fifty seven, I borrowed this
- 42:25Speaker 3: body because I didn't plan to stay here for I'm
- 42:29Speaker 3: go at this earthly house or tabernacle shall be dissolved.
- 42:34Speaker 3: I got another building eternal in the heavens somewhere, Oh,
- 42:40Speaker 3: ing glory. I already understand. Somebody's gonna drive my car,
- 42:47Speaker 3: somebody's gonna wear my clothes, somebody's gonna sleep in my bed.
- 42:52Speaker 3: But that's all right, because I just borrowed it. I've
- 42:56Speaker 3: got a man shouldn't over win glory. And it's mine, Yes,
- 43:03Speaker 3: it's mine. I got a mansion somewhere beyond the Jordans,
- 43:08Speaker 3: and it's mine, Yes, it's mine. They took Jesus to
- 43:13Speaker 3: a morn tube, and they rolled the stone in front
- 43:17Speaker 3: of him, and they left him there all day Thursday,
- 43:22Speaker 3: all day Friday, all day Saturday. But Sunday morning, Sunday morning,
- 43:37Speaker 3: Sunday morning, Sunday morning, Michael, Sunday morning, Sunday morning, Sunday morning,
- 43:48Speaker 3: he got up out of the graves. Yesterdayed he got
- 43:55Speaker 3: up out of the grave. I never could understand how
- 44:01Speaker 3: he would later appear in a gardener's suit. He didn't
- 44:05Speaker 3: get to go to the store, he didn't get to
- 44:08Speaker 3: stitch anything. But when he rose from the dead, he
- 44:12Speaker 3: spoke in some clothes into existence. I couldn't understand how
- 44:18Speaker 3: he could walk around in the grave, because they wrapped
- 44:23Speaker 3: him in one inch strips of linen. And you remember,
- 44:26Speaker 3: Landris had to be loose, But who lose Jesus? He
- 44:31Speaker 3: loosed himself. He set him stuff free. He spoke in
- 44:37Speaker 3: a new clothes into a cyst and he was walking
- 44:40Speaker 3: around in the grave, but it didn't stop there because
- 44:44Speaker 3: it's not enough to get out of your brain clothes.
- 44:48Speaker 3: It's not enough to wake about the grave if you're
- 44:53Speaker 3: still stuck behind a stone. And as I get ready
- 44:56Speaker 3: to close, some of you been resurrected. But you've been
- 45:00Speaker 3: living behind the stone, a stone of doubt, a stone
- 45:05Speaker 3: of poverty, a stone of insecurity, a stone of pride,
- 45:11Speaker 3: a stone of lust. But the Lord said, I'm getting
- 45:17Speaker 3: ready to roll the stones out of the waves. I
- 45:21Speaker 3: know you're in there. You've been in there a long time,
- 45:25Speaker 3: trying to praise me behind a stone. But I'm going
- 45:30Speaker 3: to roll the stone out of your ways. Stop your neighbors, say,
- 45:35Speaker 3: get out of my ways. I got to get up
- 45:40Speaker 3: out of this brave. I got to get up out
- 45:44Speaker 3: of this depression. I got to get up out of
- 45:48Speaker 3: this stay down here. I've got to get up out
- 45:52Speaker 3: of this situation. I'm tired of walking around in depression.
- 45:59Speaker 3: I'm going to roll the stone away. How that Luljah?
- 46:04Speaker 3: Is there anybody that's got faith in the room. I
- 46:08Speaker 3: want you to take your faith and just roll the
- 46:13Speaker 3: stone out of your way. God's getting ready to roll
- 46:19Speaker 3: the stone out of your way. He's getting ready to
- 46:22Speaker 3: move it out of your way so that you can
- 46:26Speaker 3: come out of the grave. And when you come out
- 46:29Speaker 3: of the graves, you ought to come out praising God.
- 46:33Speaker 3: You ought to come out giving God the glory. You
- 46:37Speaker 3: ought to come out lifting him up. They nail you
- 46:40Speaker 3: to a stick, They hid you behind a stone, but
- 46:44Speaker 3: God's gonna bring you out of everything. They head you
- 46:48Speaker 3: locked up behind. Who am I preaching to somebody that
- 46:53Speaker 3: I'm preaching to take about thirty seconds and start leaping
- 46:58Speaker 3: in the presence of God. God leaving, God leaving, God
- 47:08Speaker 3: leaving till the sore nose he can't hold you. Son,
- 47:14Speaker 3: leaven till the sickness nose. You gotta turn me a
- 47:19Speaker 3: loose God leaven till the person comes out of your body.
- 47:24Speaker 3: God leading till suicide, leads your spear. God leading here,
- 47:31Speaker 3: you get a new joy. God Leathan here, you get
- 47:35Speaker 3: a new Dand Don leathing leads your way out. If
- 47:40Speaker 3: you can't leave, then't crawl. If you can't tall, didn't walk,
- 47:47Speaker 3: but touch seven people there.
- 47:49Speaker 4: I gotta get out of here. I gotta get out
- 47:52Speaker 4: of here. I've got to get out of here. I've
- 47:56Speaker 4: been down too long. I gotta get out of here.
- 48:01Speaker 4: There's a power that's.
- 48:02Speaker 3: Pulling me out of my situation. Ain't no brain gonna
- 48:08Speaker 3: hold my body down. Gravity cain't hold me down, En,
- 48:14Speaker 3: I mean, cain't hold me down. Situation hain't hold me down, said,
- 48:23Speaker 3: can't hold me down. When God says get up, I'm
- 48:28Speaker 3: gonna get up, I'm gonna get up, and the nails
- 48:32Speaker 3: can't hold me. I'm gonna get up, and the grain
- 48:37Speaker 3: cain't hold me. I'm gonna get up. And your said,
- 48:41Speaker 3: hey to hold me.
- 48:43Speaker 5: I'm gonna get up.
- 48:44Speaker 3: Row your eyes, but I'm still gonna get up. Write
- 48:49Speaker 3: your notes, but I'm still gonna get up. Lord, I
- 48:55Speaker 3: feel something about the break loose in this place. If
- 48:59Speaker 3: I had a hundred radical people that made up your mind,
- 49:04Speaker 3: you're not gonna take it any Lord. If I had
- 49:07Speaker 3: a hundred radical people that would give God the praise,
- 49:11Speaker 3: something would break in He hear this, Lord, something would
- 49:16Speaker 3: break in here this morning. Something would break in here
- 49:20Speaker 3: this morning. He's stronger than wish craft. He's stronger than roots.
- 49:26Speaker 3: He's stronger than Satan. He's stronger than the enemy. He's
- 49:31Speaker 3: stronger than trouble. He's stronger than turmre. He's stronger than disease.
- 49:38Speaker 3: He's stronger than sickness. Whatever you need from the Lord,
- 49:44Speaker 3: he's stronger than that. You are to break loose from
- 49:49Speaker 3: your band and give God the praise. Leap up and
- 49:53Speaker 3: say he's stronger, He's stronger, strong, he's strong, he's strong.
- 50:04Speaker 3: I've been down too long. He's strong, he's strong, he's strong,
- 50:13Speaker 3: he's strong. I don't know what you want to do
- 50:16Speaker 3: on your pew, but as for me, I'm gonna praise
- 50:21Speaker 3: the Lord right in this pew. I'm gonna get him
- 50:25Speaker 3: a praise right in this falcony. I'm gonna praise him.
- 50:30Speaker 3: Have something about the break, Get a lock.
- 50:34Speaker 5: Of my hair.
- 50:35Speaker 3: But you can't curse me, get my tea, but you
- 50:40Speaker 3: can't stop me. Talk about me. But you can't stop me.
- 50:45Speaker 3: Because when God says, get up, ain't nothing for me
- 50:49Speaker 3: to do. But but what.
- 50:56Speaker 5: Bod, but.
- 51:00Speaker 4: Go bye bye, bye fue fue.
- 51:09Speaker 5: Grab your name a boy the head and.
- 51:12Speaker 3: Say name of get up by get up. God still
- 51:17Speaker 3: wants to use me. Get up. God've got something he
- 51:22Speaker 3: wants to do. Get up. He still wants to annoy
- 51:27Speaker 3: your Get up.
- 51:29Speaker 5: He's got a plan for your life.
- 51:32Speaker 3: I'm about to take my seat for for the next
- 51:35Speaker 3: three minutes.
- 51:36Speaker 5: I want the wild bright of her.
- 51:40Speaker 3: Don't care what I got on. Folks, to give God
- 51:44Speaker 3: a praise. I'm gonna give you about three minutes to
- 51:48Speaker 3: find away, to get up out of your brain, roll
- 51:53Speaker 3: your stone away, pull your hair, down your fingers, and
- 51:58Speaker 3: get good the praise on.
- 52:00Speaker 5: Your mark.
- 52:03Speaker 3: On your arm. Just pad, go, go.
- 52:19Speaker 2: Go.
- 52:22Speaker 3: So. I gotta get up. I gotta get up. I
- 52:31Speaker 3: gotta get up. I gotta get.
- 52:35Speaker 5: Up, Get up, get up, get up.
- 52:41Speaker 6: Pound of that way, get up, get up, get him,
- 52:44Speaker 6: get a pun of that way, get him, get up,
- 52:46Speaker 6: get up, get him, put of my way, get up,
- 52:49Speaker 6: get up, get him, get up that way, get up,
- 52:52Speaker 6: get up, get up. Of gay, get up, get up,
- 52:55Speaker 6: get up, get up, point of get get up, get
- 52:58Speaker 6: get up, get him, get us get it, get up,
- 53:02Speaker 6: get up, get up.
- 53:04Speaker 3: Get up up. You got one minute. You got one
- 53:08Speaker 3: minute left. You got one minute left. The give out
- 53:14Speaker 3: the praise you got forty pop sucking breaking up the
- 53:19Speaker 3: praise you got forty sucking time for stop worrying about
- 53:24Speaker 3: these people and break loose. This is y'all sun there
- 53:29Speaker 3: to break loose. You got thirty suckings to break everything said,
- 53:35Speaker 3: hell you everything that tied you up, puny sucking stuff,
- 53:40Speaker 3: and give God the glory.
- 53:43Speaker 5: I can't hear you.
- 53:59Speaker 3: D f.
- 54:04Speaker 5: Abraid the.
- 54:11Speaker 3: Big five, four three two one. Give me a.
- 54:23Speaker 5: Praise, Give him a praise. You remember, praise.
- 54:41Speaker 3: Me. No one they sin worse than being in the grave.
- 55:01Speaker 3: It is to be resurrected and can't get out, to
- 55:14Speaker 3: have to know how and the knowledge, but you can't
- 55:19Speaker 3: get out. You walk so far and you run into
- 55:22Speaker 3: something and you have to go back, and the enemy's
- 55:27Speaker 3: got you convinced that that stone in your life cannot
- 55:35Speaker 3: be rolled away. I don't know what kind of stone
- 55:40Speaker 3: it is. It might be a stone of depression, may
- 55:46Speaker 3: be a stone of fear. There may be a stone
- 55:53Speaker 3: of PTSD. But you hit it every time you try
- 56:01Speaker 3: to get out. And some of you have decided I'm
- 56:05Speaker 3: just gonna live in the tomb. But God said no.
- 56:16Speaker 3: God said nod. Lift your hands for a moment and
- 56:20Speaker 3: waship him all over this room. Worship him in spirit
- 56:27Speaker 3: and in truth. I see you here Sunday, glad to
- 56:34Speaker 3: have you. But let's get real for a minute. That
- 56:42Speaker 3: stone that's in your life need not stay in your life.
- 56:49Speaker 3: That stone that's in your house need not stay in
- 56:54Speaker 3: your house. Lift your hand, open your mouth, and if
- 57:03Speaker 3: you do like the Egyptian did and cry under God,
- 57:07Speaker 3: He'll move everything out of your way to deliver you.
- 57:14Speaker 3: You might be watching online, but God will move everything
- 57:17Speaker 3: out of your way to deliver you. Some of you
- 57:29Speaker 3: live behind a rock of pride, and your pride has
- 57:36Speaker 3: stopped so many blessings from coming in your life. And
- 57:41Speaker 3: you hold onto it for dear life because all you've
- 57:47Speaker 3: ever done was live behind the walls of your image.
- 57:55Speaker 3: But if you give up your image this morning, if
- 58:00Speaker 3: you get sick and tired of being sick and tired,
- 58:04Speaker 3: if you get to the point that you want to
- 58:06Speaker 3: come out of that grade. Early in the morning, the
- 58:13Speaker 3: women came down to the tomb to get Jesus where
- 58:17Speaker 3: he used to be, and the angels sitting on the
- 58:23Speaker 3: stone said, he is not here. He has risen. I
- 58:30Speaker 3: can just imagine people coming to where you used to be.
- 58:40Speaker 3: And the angel said, she's not here, she's not here,
- 58:44Speaker 3: she's not here. I know the girl you're talking about,
- 58:46Speaker 3: but she's not here. I know the woman you're talking about,
- 58:49Speaker 3: but she's not here. I know that brother you're talking about,
- 58:52Speaker 3: but he's not here. He has risen. I cut my
- 59:03Speaker 3: message short because I'm there of the Lord to pray
- 59:06Speaker 3: for somebody who wants to rise up out of it,
- 59:12Speaker 3: who seriously means I'm tired of walking around in this
- 59:17Speaker 3: tomb surrounded by corpses. I go out to eat with them,
- 59:25Speaker 3: I go out to party with them. They come over
- 59:27Speaker 3: my house. I'm tired of being around dead things. I'm
- 59:33Speaker 3: not talking about them. I don't mean no harm against them,
- 59:36Speaker 3: but I know better because He's done too much in
- 59:41Speaker 3: my life for me to live another day in the tombs.
- 59:56Speaker 3: If you're in this room and you want out bad
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: enough not to care about your image. You want out
- 1:00:06Speaker 3: bad enough to increase your parameters in larger borders, to
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: have the abundant life that Jesus died for you to
- 1:00:20Speaker 3: have life. He didn't die for you to have church.
- 1:00:28Speaker 3: He died for you to have life. He died for
- 1:00:36Speaker 3: you to have life. You existing, but you're not living.
- 1:00:43Speaker 3: How many birthdays do you think you're gonna have? How
- 1:00:47Speaker 3: many more Christmases you think you're gonna have? You're wasting time,
- 1:00:54Speaker 3: he said today. You hear my voice I did not
- 1:00:59Speaker 3: your heart this Sunday morning. I don't care who's standing
- 1:01:05Speaker 3: beside you. Tell them move out of my way. I
- 1:01:10Speaker 3: can't let you be a stone at a moment that
- 1:01:12Speaker 3: God is trying to work something out in my life.
- 1:01:15Speaker 3: And I'm coming. If I gotta come out of the balcony,
- 1:01:19Speaker 3: I'm coming. If I gotta come down the steps, I'm coming.
- 1:01:22Speaker 3: If I gotta come out of the corner, I'm coming.
- 1:01:25Speaker 3: If I gotta come with liquor on my breath, I'm coming.
- 1:01:28Speaker 3: If I was smoking a joint last night, I'm coming
- 1:01:31Speaker 3: this morning because I want to change in my life.
- 1:01:38Speaker 3: Touch a neighbor, Tell them stones go roll this morning.
- 1:01:42Speaker 3: Stones are gonna roll this morning. Stones are gonna roll
- 1:01:47Speaker 3: this morning. You're gonna roll this morning. They're gonna roll
- 1:01:56Speaker 3: this morning. It's God's job to call, and it's your
- 1:02:21Speaker 3: job to answer. Now. God is doing his job. Why
- 1:02:30Speaker 3: don't you do yours? H Come on, I'll wait on you.
- 1:02:40Speaker 3: You're not gonna use me as though, excuse Come on.
- 1:02:59Speaker 3: Let me let me, let me, let me, let me,
- 1:03:01Speaker 3: let me, let me. Let me make this real clear
- 1:03:04Speaker 3: so you can understand it. When I go into prayer,
- 1:03:08Speaker 3: it's going to be too late for you to come.
- 1:03:14Speaker 3: This space we got right here is a great space.
- 1:03:22Speaker 3: Grace don't last always. Shall we continue in sin that
- 1:03:27Speaker 3: grace may abound. God forbid, for if we are buried
- 1:03:36Speaker 3: in the likeness of His death, we shall be also
- 1:03:40Speaker 3: in the likeness of His resurrection. And you had the
- 1:03:45Speaker 3: pricking who were dead, and the trespasses of sin. He
- 1:03:49Speaker 3: gave you new life. He gave you something that the
- 1:03:54Speaker 3: drug dealer can give you, that your chick on the
- 1:03:59Speaker 3: side can give you. He gave you something that nobody
- 1:04:03Speaker 3: else can give you. And I want you to come.
- 1:04:10Speaker 3: It's a great space. This is the space that proves
- 1:04:21Speaker 3: that you can't go to heaven. And I mean go
- 1:04:24Speaker 3: and stand before God and say I never got a chance.
- 1:04:28Speaker 3: This is your opportunity. There is nothing in your life,
- 1:04:53Speaker 3: on your life, or in your past that God can forgive.
- 1:05:02Speaker 3: There is nothing on your mind, no matter how hideous
- 1:05:07Speaker 3: or dark it might be, that the Word can't penetrate
- 1:05:13Speaker 3: and change your life. There is nothing, there is nothing
- 1:05:20Speaker 3: that's hindering you. He will roll that stone, he will
- 1:05:29Speaker 3: roll that habit right out of your way. And there's
- 1:05:49Speaker 3: nothing out there. There's nothing out there but trouble and
- 1:05:52Speaker 3: they want to come home.
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: At the Potter House, we are invested in you, not
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: just what you do, for who you are becoming.
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: We believe that in this house we are better together.
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: We need one another to be holy, to hold each
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: other accountable, and to keep growing.
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: As God positions us to serve every soul. We believe
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: that an act of sawing is an act of faith
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: and agreement right where God is speeding.
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: Up, and we're honors that we get to partner with
- 1:06:28Speaker 2: you in reaching lives near and far. This is your
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: official invitation to not just be a spectator, but to
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: be a partner, be a member of our family that
- 1:06:40Speaker 2: seeks Kingdom solutions during the challenges of every season.
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: Amen, your giving, your service, and your love to this
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: house isn't just generosity, it's ministry.
- 1:06:52Speaker 2: If this message spoke to you and you believe what
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: God is doing in this house, we invite you to
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: become a member today. We want to do life with
- 1:07:02Speaker 2: you and.
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: Share this message with someone you care about, someone who
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: needs it the most. I believe that it could be
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: the catalyst for the breakthrough that they're seeking. No matter
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: where you are, remember, God sees you, and he loves you,
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: and so do we.
