- 0:13Speaker 3: Dude, Welcome to four for a discount the podcast where
- 0:32Speaker 3: we what do we do?
- 0:32Speaker 4: Review The Simpsons? Don't we? A lot of Simpson's reviews
- 0:36Speaker 4: here at four Finger Discount, And this week we're here
- 0:38Speaker 4: to review one of my favorite episodes of post Golden Ear,
- 0:42Speaker 4: a Simpsons not for this guy though Esther departed.
- 0:44Speaker 2: I'm Dando and I'm guy, and I didn't dislike this episode,
- 0:48Speaker 2: but I maybe didn't.
- 0:49Speaker 4: Like it as much as I thought I would.
- 0:51Speaker 2: Now Dando did the home alone face when I mentioned
- 0:54Speaker 2: this before we got on Mike. Yeah, he didn't quite
- 0:58Speaker 2: do that, but it was if it was feeling it inside.
- 1:01Speaker 4: I can tell you no, No, I was just surprised.
- 1:03Speaker 4: If anything, I thought it was going to be a
- 1:04Speaker 4: fun discussion because I really loved this episode, but he
- 1:06Speaker 4: said it didn't.
- 1:06Speaker 2: Really, it's still going to be a fun discussion.
- 1:08Speaker 4: Yeah, that's why why I said, I think it's going
- 1:09Speaker 4: to be a fun discussion, because we disagree.
- 1:11Speaker 2: I thought you said you thought it was going to
- 1:13Speaker 2: be a fun discussion. Yeah, it wasn't going to No, No,
- 1:15Speaker 2: it's going to be Yeah, that's what you think.
- 1:18Speaker 4: I'm just going to talk about this. It was all right.
- 1:20Speaker 4: I didn't he went out there want to be new,
- 1:23Speaker 4: so the debt. So I can't recall I've watched The
- 1:27Speaker 4: Party in probably what twenty years when it come out
- 1:29Speaker 4: two thousand and six.
- 1:29Speaker 2: Two thousand and six. Yeah, so wow, that's impresident President.
- 1:33Speaker 2: I'm saying in two years before it was made for you.
- 1:36Speaker 2: I haven't said for a long time.
- 1:37Speaker 4: Since I was a teenager, I reckon and maybe when
- 1:39Speaker 4: I was twenty or so, I remember loving the film.
- 1:42Speaker 4: I've not watched it since then. Is this a bit
- 1:44Speaker 4: by bit play of how the film goes down?
- 1:46Speaker 2: No, and maybe that's something that threw me off the
- 1:50Speaker 2: rails a little bit.
- 1:51Speaker 4: Okay, because it's not based in a primary school the film.
- 1:54Speaker 2: No, although the criminal world and the school yard they do.
- 2:00Speaker 2: You have a certain parallels. There are enough nods to
- 2:05Speaker 2: the departed in it that you, oh, yeah, okay, that's
- 2:09Speaker 2: Murphy certainly drop kick Murphy's and a joke at the
- 2:11Speaker 2: end that I was like, I don't I think your
- 2:16Speaker 2: your butt is writing check? Oh, you know your math
- 2:18Speaker 2: is writing checks your butt can't cash there, Simpsons, But
- 2:23Speaker 2: generally it's uh, this is what do you know the
- 2:25Speaker 2: movie Donnie Brasco. Yeah, yeah, this is more like Donnie
- 2:28Speaker 2: Brasco than it is A Departed I mean both are
- 2:30Speaker 2: about undercover cops and the cost of a life.
- 2:33Speaker 4: In I'm not in the Departed, No.
- 2:37Speaker 2: And a few of what do you call it Scorsese
- 2:41Speaker 2: regulars are not. Yeah, I mean DiCaprio is the lead,
- 2:45Speaker 2: but de Niro's not in there.
- 2:47Speaker 4: But that was the first DiCaprio appearance in Scorsese.
- 2:49Speaker 2: Wasn't it. No, No, he's in gangs in New York,
- 2:51Speaker 2: of course he was.
- 2:52Speaker 4: Yeah, actually I think he was in a few, but
- 2:54Speaker 4: that was two thousand and fours, and it was two
- 2:55Speaker 4: thousand and two. Gangs in New York.
- 2:56Speaker 2: I think there was the I think there was gangs
- 2:57Speaker 2: in New York and the Aviator was that Okay, Yeah,
- 3:02Speaker 2: they hailed Hughes movie, and then after that there were
- 3:04Speaker 2: Shutter Island.
- 3:05Speaker 4: And when I think of scorse Asa, I only think
- 3:07Speaker 4: of the mob movies, the Criminal film, true.
- 3:10Speaker 2: True, like you go back up his sort of body
- 3:13Speaker 2: work done. There's a lot of different types of movies
- 3:15Speaker 2: in there, but his mob movies are so good and
- 3:18Speaker 2: so vivid and so exciting that oh yeah, he's the
- 3:21Speaker 2: guy who makes his crowd of movies. What was the saying. Yeah,
- 3:25Speaker 2: So there are certainly bits and pieces of that departed in this,
- 3:28Speaker 2: but probably.
- 3:29Speaker 4: A good thing that it's not just a complete rip off,
- 3:32Speaker 4: that it's a sort of a an homage to it,
- 3:34Speaker 4: taking elements of it, because if you're just gonna do
- 3:36Speaker 4: a bit by bit, it's just kind of we always
- 3:38Speaker 4: complained about those trilogy episodes where it's just retelling the
- 3:40Speaker 4: story but replacing the characters with city.
- 3:43Speaker 2: That's a good point. That's a good point. There is
- 3:44Speaker 2: also another scene that's like a real visual homage to
- 3:47Speaker 2: the chase scene, yeah, or the suit it's not really
- 3:51Speaker 2: a chase and the music playing as well.
- 3:53Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, so.
- 3:55Speaker 2: Yeah, look certainly gets to enjoy in that regard. And look,
- 3:57Speaker 2: I'm a sucker for a good undercover story.
- 3:59Speaker 4: He doesn't like a good mystery.
- 4:01Speaker 2: There's like a good mystery or a good even not
- 4:04Speaker 2: so much a mystery, not so much of who'd done it,
- 4:06Speaker 2: as like how they're going to get them? Yeah, because
- 4:10Speaker 2: how long can you stay on the cover before either
- 4:12Speaker 2: A you're bustard or B you just go insane from
- 4:15Speaker 2: the tension, which is a real, a real plot point
- 4:17Speaker 2: in The Departed because DiCaprio was just fraying under the pressure.
- 4:22Speaker 2: I think I saw and mad Damon is as well
- 4:23Speaker 2: to a lesser degree.
- 4:25Speaker 4: Yeah, I think I saw this before I saw the
- 4:27Speaker 4: actual film, which is probably why I enjoyed the episode
- 4:30Speaker 4: a lot more because I didn't see the twists coming
- 4:32Speaker 4: at the end. Ah yeah, so really being the extra miles, like,
- 4:36Speaker 4: oh shit, that's right, it's.
- 4:38Speaker 2: A nice wrinkle. Yeah, you're right. I guess I was
- 4:42Speaker 2: thinking I would have liked the friendship or the relationship
- 4:48Speaker 2: between Barton Donnie to I don't know, be fleshed out
- 4:51Speaker 2: a little bit more. It just it's kind of hard
- 4:53Speaker 2: when you had it's hard when you're dealing with it.
- 4:56Speaker 4: Probably could have cut out the Homeless because the Homer
- 4:58Speaker 4: story didn't really add anything to that plot. Did Did
- 5:00Speaker 4: they intertwine it anyway?
- 5:02Speaker 2: Not at all.
- 5:03Speaker 4: So I think it's just the way of getting Homer
- 5:04Speaker 4: on the screen, which I don't think it really needed
- 5:05Speaker 4: to have.
- 5:06Speaker 2: I don't think it needed at all. I mean, the
- 5:07Speaker 2: whole b plot with the Loaner had one or two
- 5:10Speaker 2: good gags, but otherwise was like, I'm not really enjoying
- 5:13Speaker 2: this at all. In fact, it is symptomatic and a
- 5:15Speaker 2: lot of stuff that's wrong with season nineteen all these
- 5:17Speaker 2: later seasons, and oh well there's I think even when
- 5:21Speaker 2: he first learns it. Oh okay, I've got to take
- 5:23Speaker 2: my shit car in to get to get serviced, and
- 5:26Speaker 2: they're going to give me this dope car. Laughing at
- 5:28Speaker 2: this stuff, and it goes on for so long. It's
- 5:31Speaker 2: so long, and I'm like, I've written, oh that loaner joke.
- 5:33Speaker 2: But then sorry to step on one of my favorite moments,
- 5:36Speaker 2: but this song Driver of a loan Loaner cap yeah.
- 5:42Speaker 2: As a big fan of Owner of a Lonely Heart
- 5:44Speaker 2: by the band Yes, And.
- 5:45Speaker 4: I'm gonna be fair of the song Cruising as well,
- 5:46Speaker 4: even though it wasn't a parody. It was just the song.
- 5:48Speaker 4: I like that song I see as a nineties kid.
- 5:50Speaker 4: I like the Gwendeth Poultry Hwet Lewis version from our Duet's.
- 5:53Speaker 2: Well, I'm guessing it's a song before then it's it's
- 5:58Speaker 2: about carry okay. I'm trying to remember who did the original.
- 6:01Speaker 2: I'm not sure. Sure, look at a wiki page. I'm
- 6:03Speaker 2: sure it's somewhere on the internet. I mean, and it's
- 6:05Speaker 2: got not completely broken.
- 6:06Speaker 4: Yet cultural references. But you're right, Te who was a
- 6:10Speaker 4: good actor? Huey Lewis? Yeah, I know he was, wasn't he?
- 6:13Speaker 2: Yeah? Really, I mean I'm just a big Huey Lewis fan.
- 6:16Speaker 2: He just like the power of love. Oh absolutely. But
- 6:20Speaker 2: he's like your uncle or your or your dad's mate.
- 6:24Speaker 2: And you know, you go to like a wedding or
- 6:26Speaker 2: something and it was like here we get up and
- 6:27Speaker 2: see then he then he gets up and he.
- 6:30Speaker 4: Belted fuck Smoky Robinson cruising in nineteen seventy nine.
- 6:37Speaker 2: Oh that the likefulc tons of Smoky Rominson. Well, I
- 6:40Speaker 2: didn't like what Gwyneth and Hugh do you? It's is
- 6:42Speaker 2: a good movie.
- 6:43Speaker 4: I've never seen it, haven't you. I've only ever seen
- 6:45Speaker 4: that film clip. Yeah, they're really good in it. I
- 6:48Speaker 4: can't you can't fight it anywhere?
- 6:50Speaker 2: Is it not on Disney Plus? I thought it was
- 6:52Speaker 2: like a Disney release? Oh is it no ship or
- 6:54Speaker 2: a Touchdome release?
- 6:55Speaker 4: I never think to look on Disney Plus for duets.
- 6:57Speaker 4: Duets streaming Australia.
- 7:00Speaker 2: We're doing a public service. Yeah, you should really see Duets.
- 7:03Speaker 2: It's on Disney Plus ship. It's got it's got the
- 7:06Speaker 2: late Andre Brower. Yeah, it's I think it was sort
- 7:09Speaker 2: of a breakout role for Paul Gmt.
- 7:11Speaker 4: He's really good in it.
- 7:12Speaker 2: Was he in.
- 7:15Speaker 4: Fifty four? Who was fifty four?
- 7:16Speaker 2: Was that Mike Myers? That's Mike Mike Myers?
- 7:17Speaker 4: Okay?
- 7:18Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 7:18Speaker 4: Who else is in fifty four? Is another film I
- 7:20Speaker 4: can't find Anywhere's those like late nineties films that had
- 7:23Speaker 4: songs that were attached to the film. So that had
- 7:26Speaker 4: if you could read mom, if you could be what
- 7:27Speaker 4: a fucking banger?
- 7:28Speaker 2: Right? Really?
- 7:29Speaker 4: And that's that's an remake as well. Yeah, because he.
- 7:31Speaker 2: Had the original of that and it's kind of yeah,
- 7:35Speaker 2: soft and mellow if you can read. No, no, it
- 7:38Speaker 2: doesn't have it.
- 7:42Speaker 4: And what's that?
- 7:43Speaker 2: As Lewis often says to me, yes, my best friend's
- 7:46Speaker 2: wedding that see a little prep.
- 7:48Speaker 4: That version is so much fucking better. I know the
- 7:50Speaker 4: original is great, right, but I was raised on that version, always.
- 7:54Speaker 2: Saying is the nineties was the best time ever?
- 7:56Speaker 4: The nineties.
- 7:56Speaker 2: The thing is, can you can fuck off the Renaissance?
- 7:59Speaker 2: All that stuff nineteen nineties.
- 8:02Speaker 4: I just love the idea of when songs were attached
- 8:04Speaker 4: to films. They don't do that shit anymore, not.
- 8:06Speaker 2: Really, no. I mean even you go back to like
- 8:09Speaker 2: the original Sam Raimi Spider Man, the first one, and
- 8:13Speaker 2: it's like it's got Nickel mickle back.
- 8:15Speaker 4: Yeah, Hero, isn't it?
- 8:16Speaker 2: Yeah, which I can't remember the song for live it, but.
- 8:19Speaker 4: I just know that there was a song attached to it.
- 8:20Speaker 2: Yeah, or even yeah po is like Daredevil's I think
- 8:24Speaker 2: we talked about talked about it not long ago with
- 8:26Speaker 2: Wake Me Up, and even I think the First Avengers
- 8:31Speaker 2: has got like a song over the end credits. I
- 8:33Speaker 2: can't recall Yeah, me neither.
- 8:35Speaker 4: But for me, it's just like you know, Will Smith
- 8:37Speaker 4: he catched him be time when Black and Wild Wild West,
- 8:40Speaker 4: there was always a song attached to a film.
- 8:42Speaker 2: And now we don't really we're not really doing it.
- 8:44Speaker 4: We don't watch films anymore, do we. My final one
- 8:46Speaker 4: YouTube it's on Spotify now, you know, it'd be a
- 8:48Speaker 4: tit tak.
- 8:50Speaker 2: I didn't understand.
- 8:53Speaker 4: There are songs in films now, but it's not that
- 8:56Speaker 4: song was released just for the film. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 8:59Speaker 4: I mean like Ghostbusters was written for Ghostbusters exactly.
- 9:03Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm trying to think of you. No, I mean
- 9:04Speaker 2: there's no like as heard in the hit movie Twisters. No,
- 9:08Speaker 2: I haven't heard it, Noah, just different world now, different world.
- 9:11Speaker 2: I'm not sure I like it. Let's go back to
- 9:13Speaker 2: the nineties, the times. Nineties, so we were talking about duets,
- 9:18Speaker 2: we're talking about Huey Lewis. How we get to that.
- 9:22Speaker 2: I'm happy to duets to take back. We might be literally, won't.
- 9:30Speaker 4: The song a Cruisin? I listened to Crusts? Yes, we
- 9:34Speaker 4: made it.
- 9:34Speaker 2: Thank you down there?
- 9:37Speaker 4: Yeah all that when you finally realized that's what it was.
- 9:41Speaker 4: Oh thank god.
- 9:44Speaker 2: I'm not completely for the home yet.
- 9:46Speaker 4: You know. You know sometimes you tell them a story, right,
- 9:48Speaker 4: or you're about to tell a story and the person
- 9:50Speaker 4: you're about to say it to interrupt you, and you're okay, yeah, yeah,
- 9:52Speaker 4: and then you go they say to you, what do
- 9:55Speaker 4: you want to say?
- 9:56Speaker 2: I can't remember. I know it's there, I can't think
- 9:59Speaker 2: of it. Have I told that story about how one
- 10:02Speaker 2: morning I was lying in bed and I need to think.
- 10:05Speaker 2: I didn't need to think of this word, but I
- 10:06Speaker 2: was like, what's that word for?
- 10:08Speaker 3: That?
- 10:08Speaker 4: Thing. It's a real estate term, and you know, it's
- 10:10Speaker 4: an easy word. Last last week I was struggling to
- 10:13Speaker 4: think of the word witness.
- 10:16Speaker 2: It was on this podcast.
- 10:17Speaker 4: I'm pretty sure because we're like, what's that the person
- 10:19Speaker 4: that you know, they say they were there at the
- 10:21Speaker 4: time of South Park, and like the person that's they
- 10:24Speaker 4: see something and then they take a statement back and
- 10:26Speaker 4: you're like, I'm like, what is it? Anyway, Yes, no.
- 10:32Speaker 2: One one is lying in bed. And I was thinking
- 10:34Speaker 2: about some real estate term, and the wood was escrow,
- 10:36Speaker 2: which is not really a word.
- 10:38Speaker 4: That word in my life. If you asked me to
- 10:40Speaker 4: define it, I'd probably buger it all up. It sounds
- 10:42Speaker 4: like a Pokemon's got to catch them.
- 10:48Speaker 2: I don't know enough about Pokemon to say anything like
- 10:51Speaker 2: aline always got to catch the more you got to
- 10:52Speaker 2: catch more?
- 10:53Speaker 4: What a tagline. It's like, you've got to collect them.
- 10:58Speaker 2: It's like a ship. Okay, well I guess that's what
- 11:02Speaker 2: I'm doing for the next five years. Remember there was
- 11:05Speaker 2: a period of it.
- 11:05Speaker 4: There was just before COVID where people were playing Pokemon Go,
- 11:08Speaker 4: just roaming the streets. Oh yeah, there's a picture at
- 11:14Speaker 4: the beach and you go to Eastern beach. There's always
- 11:15Speaker 4: people walking about it there trying to find Pokemone gets.
- 11:17Speaker 2: Hit by a car because it's like I'm searching for
- 11:20Speaker 2: picture or whatever. That's the only Pokemon I know. Or
- 11:23Speaker 2: meet you Moody to meet me too?
- 11:26Speaker 4: Me to you too?
- 11:27Speaker 2: Did mewtwo get? But yes, escrow, I think is the
- 11:33Speaker 2: money that's put aside if you bought a house or something,
- 11:35Speaker 2: and it's like before it actually deposit, yeah, before the
- 11:38Speaker 2: deal actually goes. So it's like we're gonna put it
- 11:40Speaker 2: in this safe account. You know, it's not yours anymore.
- 11:43Speaker 2: It's not theirs anymore. It's just in a it's in
- 11:45Speaker 2: limbo to anybody. It's just hanging out, just hanging out.
- 11:48Speaker 2: It's earning interest maybe, And for some reason I know it.
- 11:53Speaker 2: I didn't need to know this word. I mean, I'm
- 11:55Speaker 2: not selling my house. I'm not buying a house or
- 11:57Speaker 2: anything like that. But it's like I had to know
- 11:59Speaker 2: it now.
- 11:59Speaker 4: I have to know now.
- 12:00Speaker 2: I'm not going to look it up. I'm not looking
- 12:02Speaker 2: it up.
- 12:03Speaker 4: It's in here. And honestly, use those muscles. Yeah, And I.
- 12:07Speaker 2: Spent maybe twenty minutes in bed, and I really should
- 12:11Speaker 2: be getting up and doing stuff maybe earning livings, I
- 12:14Speaker 2: could buy a half. It's like, so, how is your warning?
- 12:16Speaker 2: I couldn't think of the word is a scrowrows?
- 12:20Speaker 4: Great? But I got there.
- 12:21Speaker 2: So I spent twenty minutes in bed thinking that I
- 12:24Speaker 2: had early onset dementia, like I think we should.
- 12:28Speaker 4: See other people.
- 12:30Speaker 2: But yeah, it's just like, oh, no, is this?
- 12:33Speaker 4: What is this?
- 12:34Speaker 2: What it's going to be like when you know my
- 12:36Speaker 2: fit and when my faculty start to go be like, oh,
- 12:39Speaker 2: what's that word? Oh house, what's that word cigarette?
- 12:44Speaker 4: Yeah, it's like I'm starting to sort of eyes are
- 12:47Speaker 4: getting a bit with my left eye of a cover
- 12:48Speaker 4: of my right up left, I can't see as well.
- 12:49Speaker 2: And I'm like, oh no, it's beginning. Mine is that
- 12:52Speaker 2: way because I currently have an eye. In fact, I
- 12:54Speaker 2: was a bit worried about us going on the camera
- 12:56Speaker 2: because it looked like I was like, you know.
- 12:58Speaker 4: That's why it's at the shadows.
- 13:01Speaker 2: I'm sleeping on a pillow. That that's done this party
- 13:07Speaker 2: with the bank. Look, I've got the smile, but no
- 13:12Speaker 2: traditional iro infection, not conjunctivi itis AK a pink app
- 13:17Speaker 2: But enough about our various physical and uh mental ailments. Yeah,
- 13:23Speaker 2: the departed, Yeah, the homeless, the home and home stuff
- 13:26Speaker 2: could have gone yeah, and could you could have fleshed
- 13:29Speaker 2: out and you could have fleshed out the relationship with more.
- 13:31Speaker 4: Yeah. I light though the twist of the blue can.
- 13:36Speaker 4: I was like, that's a that's a fun look. It's
- 13:38Speaker 4: a good reveal. Yeah, it's how because you don't think
- 13:42Speaker 4: when he's giving him those candies that it's going to
- 13:44Speaker 4: lead to something like that. It's just it's just him,
- 13:46Speaker 4: mean friend.
- 13:47Speaker 2: Yeah, and it's showing off. It's like it's actually pretty
- 13:50Speaker 2: good writing and the like, that's right, I'm showing off.
- 13:52Speaker 2: I got these blue vines you get in Europe. Otherwise
- 13:54Speaker 2: you usually get red vines like, oh, it's the not
- 13:56Speaker 2: the Chekhov's gun, It's it's the Blu rays.
- 13:59Speaker 4: It's the DVD's used to get before they were listen
- 14:00Speaker 4: to Australia or was it laser dis what you used
- 14:02Speaker 4: to get before they were listed in Ausralia? Was the
- 14:04Speaker 4: Ghostbusters you got once? Or was that a beta tape?
- 14:06Speaker 2: Right?
- 14:07Speaker 4: You ate Ghostbusters when you were a kid or was
- 14:09Speaker 4: it a Ghostbusters post that you had? I think it
- 14:11Speaker 4: was a Ghostbusters poster? But didn't you get I thought
- 14:13Speaker 4: you said, was the Steve that used to get movies
- 14:15Speaker 4: before they released Australia. Yeah, earlier to Steve, it was
- 14:18Speaker 4: your friend, Steve say Savvy, Steve Savy, Steve Savy, Steve
- 14:21Speaker 4: used to get movies before anyone else. Yeah.
- 14:23Speaker 2: He had the laser discplayer. Yeah, the only guy I
- 14:25Speaker 2: knew who had one. Yeah, and he had It's it's
- 14:30Speaker 2: not even in the mid yet, and you.
- 14:31Speaker 4: Know he was good. That's that would have been unbelievable.
- 14:35Speaker 4: A very good guy watching a film at home, guys
- 14:38Speaker 4: before it's even releasing the cinemas here would have been
- 14:40Speaker 4: mind blowing.
- 14:41Speaker 2: Oh yeah, particular because it was true romance and every
- 14:45Speaker 2: you know, every generation next ne it was like Tarantino
- 14:48Speaker 2: that gay set. I gotta stop doing that voice. I
- 14:50Speaker 2: gotta stop doing their voice.
- 14:51Speaker 4: We start doing some favorite moments.
- 14:53Speaker 2: What was do that?
- 14:55Speaker 4: My favorite? For some reason, one moment that's always stuck
- 14:58Speaker 4: with me is the end of arm was a skinner.
- 15:00Speaker 4: He's like, Skinner, Skinner, I'm fine, So don't ever do
- 15:04Speaker 4: that to me again. I just liked the fact that,
- 15:06Speaker 4: you know, he yells at him all the time, but
- 15:08Speaker 4: he cares for Yes.
- 15:10Speaker 2: Did I send you the thing? I don't know if
- 15:12Speaker 2: it was just one person or this is the thing
- 15:14Speaker 2: that's going on. But Kamala Harris has announced her running
- 15:19Speaker 2: mate for Is it Camela Kamala? I thought it was
- 15:21Speaker 2: Camela Tamala? Yeah, love it. I just don't know, like Pamela,
- 15:24Speaker 2: you would think Kamala. But I think it is actually Camelo.
- 15:26Speaker 4: Came.
- 15:27Speaker 2: If I'm wrong, let me know. I don't think it
- 15:30Speaker 2: really matters for us, does it really? If we mispronounced
- 15:33Speaker 2: out Kamala is for America? Sneezes, the world gets a
- 15:36Speaker 2: cold continue That's that's what they say about my political mouse.
- 15:41Speaker 2: She announced her running mate for Vice president, gentleman named
- 15:44Speaker 2: Tim Walls or Waltz. And I think a few people
- 15:47Speaker 2: saying like putting up Butcher's superintended. Charles like it because
- 15:52Speaker 2: he looks a lot like him. I sent this to
- 15:54Speaker 2: you or not, But yeah, I'm always happy to see Charles.
- 15:57Speaker 2: And yeah, we're like, oh, he looks like the future
- 16:01Speaker 2: by president who seems like a solid dude. He's a
- 16:04Speaker 2: really good choice. And then he's got a good line
- 16:06Speaker 2: in dad jokes and you know, yeah, Kamela is very progressive. Wow,
- 16:11Speaker 2: a woman of a woman of color. I could be
- 16:15Speaker 2: the next president of the United States. That'd be great,
- 16:16Speaker 2: that'd be groundbreaking. But a lot of people go too
- 16:19Speaker 2: much too first two hundred years, two hundred and fifty
- 16:22Speaker 2: years into the American experiments, we'd better get the whitest
- 16:27Speaker 2: white dude. But daddy joke, But daddy is dad that
- 16:31Speaker 2: ever there was, you know, to reassure us, like, Okay,
- 16:35Speaker 2: yes we're moving forward, but he's.
- 16:36Speaker 4: Going to walk up to come on and go, gotcha
- 16:37Speaker 4: do if you want a bath? Better win?
- 16:44Speaker 2: But about that, we're talking about favorite moments.
- 16:47Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I was chalmerss Yeah at the end, as I.
- 16:50Speaker 2: Said, I android driver rather lonely car. Not a bad gag.
- 16:55Speaker 2: I liked more. I like Marge's source hack.
- 16:58Speaker 4: Yeah got as well.
- 17:00Speaker 2: Yeah I do we actually have places that have the
- 17:02Speaker 2: little sauce packets anymore?
- 17:03Speaker 4: Well, you just have to go to mackets and ship
- 17:05Speaker 4: like that.
- 17:06Speaker 2: Okay, do they still have them in the older head
- 17:08Speaker 2: No little sachet, No little saschets. If you go in
- 17:10Speaker 2: and like order the screens because you can't talk to
- 17:12Speaker 2: a person.
- 17:15Speaker 4: So you get sachets in your meal. So hungry Jackson,
- 17:18Speaker 4: it's all sachets. The kids, the kids love. It's just like,
- 17:20Speaker 4: oh yeah, that's great. What we do is our kids
- 17:23Speaker 4: are very particularly like certain the bottle. If the bottle
- 17:26Speaker 4: isn't the Rosala one or whatever it is for tomato sauce,
- 17:29Speaker 4: they don't like if that's not the same, right, So
- 17:32Speaker 4: we just bought it once by the big tubs of
- 17:34Speaker 4: the Home Brand and just refiel that ship. That's very
- 17:36Speaker 4: clever that I do it. A series like Cocoa Pops.
- 17:39Speaker 4: I bought about six months ago a box of Cocoa
- 17:41Speaker 4: Pops and now whenever it's empty, I just refill it
- 17:43Speaker 4: with Cocoa puffs with the yeah yeah, the Home Brand
- 17:46Speaker 4: ones nut GRAINI grain can't get away with nutrigrain. The
- 17:49Speaker 4: shapes are different, and Aliott knows he goes they're curved.
- 17:53Speaker 4: That's not the right one, And I'm like, damn it.
- 17:55Speaker 2: I saw some Aldie thing the other day where it's
- 17:57Speaker 2: like Eldie Hack. You know these the aldiagon with the
- 18:00Speaker 2: Algae version of wagon wheels called cartwheels better than wagons
- 18:04Speaker 2: the wagon wheels. So I'm like, I better try this.
- 18:08Speaker 2: Border pays like they're okay, but they're not wagon. You
- 18:11Speaker 2: tell yourself that ali does some good stuff. Does some
- 18:15Speaker 2: stuff very well, but no, they these are not a
- 18:17Speaker 2: suitable comp for wagon wheels.
- 18:19Speaker 4: He's a life hacked for you guys, for all you
- 18:21Speaker 4: Dorito's fans out there, or you Cornships fans. Home brand
- 18:25Speaker 4: like Woolworth's Safeway, what you want to call it, Home
- 18:28Speaker 4: brand corn chips, cheese cheese Supreme Cheese, Supreme corn chips
- 18:33Speaker 4: better than any dredas you'll in your life. Oh my gosh.
- 18:35Speaker 4: They are just smothered with flavoring. Home brand Cheese Supreme
- 18:39Speaker 4: corn chips cannot go wrong, smothered.
- 18:41Speaker 2: With flavoring quite like that to their favorite stuff. Yeah, no, no, no,
- 18:51Speaker 2: no no. I was going to ask about you've already
- 18:55Speaker 2: sort of explained about how you know you get the
- 18:57Speaker 2: home brand sauce and you refill they and I won't
- 18:59Speaker 2: get you if you had a specific if your source faithful.
- 19:03Speaker 2: I mean, I'm always what's the what's the fifty two varieties?
- 19:06Speaker 2: One I don't know.
- 19:07Speaker 4: There's white, white chrome, there's white, Yeah, there's white something.
- 19:13Speaker 4: Another one you mean, yeah, it's Gota dove on it
- 19:15Speaker 4: or whatever.
- 19:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that's the one I get. So I
- 19:17Speaker 2: never get Roselle. The kids like the they like the bird,
- 19:20Speaker 2: the parrot or whatever they call it. And then we
- 19:21Speaker 2: just refill their bottle. We've got a big tub in
- 19:23Speaker 2: the bottom under they can't see. It's like massive, like
- 19:25Speaker 2: two liter tub of just Home brand sauce sauce. I'm
- 19:29Speaker 2: thinking it's true, it's true. I'm thinking about sauce right now,
- 19:31Speaker 2: more so thinking about our friend Zach Prudho's listening is
- 19:33Speaker 2: going what really get cut to the chase gut. The
- 19:38Speaker 2: other thing I liked was turning the kick me SiGe
- 19:41Speaker 2: into mediocre study Yes? And was it nels Kerney who
- 19:46Speaker 2: immediately guess a bit of do it Yes? That hit
- 19:48Speaker 2: the books. Next question?
- 19:50Speaker 4: You there eating the paste.
- 19:52Speaker 2: Trivia to hit me with your first question, I only
- 19:55Speaker 2: have three?
- 19:56Speaker 4: You I only ever asked for three. You say this
- 19:58Speaker 4: every time, I only have three.
- 20:00Speaker 2: I think when we started we were doing like five.
- 20:02Speaker 4: We've already had this conversation numerous times. It's always been three,
- 20:05Speaker 4: always three. Sometimes you get excited and you throw out more.
- 20:10Speaker 2: Listeners to the show. Patrons of the show, I'm sure
- 20:13Speaker 2: it's really entertaining for you to have front row seats
- 20:15Speaker 2: for glass descent into dementia. Are you sure it was three?
- 20:23Speaker 4: Always?
- 20:23Speaker 3: Three.
- 20:23Speaker 4: What are we doing now? Trivia?
- 20:25Speaker 2: No? No, no, not trivia?
- 20:27Speaker 4: Oh no, cheesy poops O wrong show? Do you want
- 20:32Speaker 4: to do stone gutters? That's the trivia?
- 20:34Speaker 2: Okay, okay, yes, you know you're not trying to wrong
- 20:38Speaker 2: for actual you have questions?
- 20:39Speaker 4: I do. I got you.
- 20:41Speaker 2: You can see on my written notes you've got the
- 20:43Speaker 2: highly technical on your laptop. I've actually the hard drugs
- 20:47Speaker 2: in your way. I apologized, man, that should have moved
- 20:48Speaker 2: them for you. That's all right, all right, Oh, I
- 20:50Speaker 2: have fun. Okay, okay, first question for you? What school
- 20:55Speaker 2: did Donnie get kicked out? Oh?
- 20:56Speaker 4: I have had that as one of my trivia questions.
- 20:58Speaker 4: I won't look it's PS one three it is, indeed, yes,
- 21:01Speaker 4: more questions gone. Luckily I had four just in case.
- 21:04Speaker 4: I always have a backup one. I always have a
- 21:05Speaker 4: backup one. I'd never use it if I don't have to.
- 21:08Speaker 4: That was That's there. He gets the back up all right.
- 21:09Speaker 4: My first question? What book was Lisa reading at the start?
- 21:11Speaker 4: Was The Joy of Sex? Correct?
- 21:15Speaker 2: Fun thing about being Generation X and growing up as
- 21:17Speaker 2: a child in the seventies is you would have you
- 21:20Speaker 2: would go to other people's houses and the adults would
- 21:23Speaker 2: have actually have books like The Joy of Sex on
- 21:25Speaker 2: the bookshelf, Karma, Suture or whatever. Yeah, I said the
- 21:28Speaker 2: nineties great, the seventies were even better. Next question for you, Yes,
- 21:36Speaker 2: who is the maker of view blockers? Bronzing's It is Bronz. Yes,
- 21:40Speaker 2: that's right, No days you.
- 21:44Speaker 4: By the way, a lot of wires go in this episode.
- 21:46Speaker 2: Yeah, although not as wise as usual, not as sassy
- 21:48Speaker 2: as no.
- 21:49Speaker 4: I was very surprised at how I thought he'd be
- 21:51Speaker 4: giving Homer's laughing at and whatnot. They didn't do anything
- 21:54Speaker 4: about it. They sort of looked at him home is like,
- 21:56Speaker 4: I'm not bringing the car back. There was no fight back.
- 21:58Speaker 2: Yeah, there's no sas mouth.
- 21:59Speaker 4: Yeah, it's like they should have been coming to his
- 22:01Speaker 4: dog threatend to kill him.
- 22:02Speaker 2: I think so.
- 22:03Speaker 4: Yeah, he's in aloner. My most question is who does
- 22:07Speaker 4: Donnie get on his little cootie thing? Who's going to
- 22:09Speaker 4: marry and he's very happy about it. It was Sherry
- 22:11Speaker 4: Terry No, Sherry.
- 22:12Speaker 2: Yes. My third and final question to you, because I
- 22:16Speaker 2: don't have the fourth backup because I'm not organized like you.
- 22:20Speaker 2: When did Terry Gross interview Sundator Alan Cranston.
- 22:26Speaker 4: Uh?
- 22:27Speaker 2: No, don't know it was nineteen eighty seven, eighty seven. Yeah,
- 22:30Speaker 2: I listened to Terry Gross a bit on MPR podcast.
- 22:32Speaker 2: She's a very very good interviewer, and she's I'm glad
- 22:35Speaker 2: that they actually got her because she's got a very
- 22:37Speaker 2: distinctive voice and delivery style. But often when you.
- 22:42Speaker 4: Oh it's a new episode of Yeah.
- 22:45Speaker 2: Interviews with Terry Gross, Terry Gross is off this week.
- 22:47Speaker 2: He's an interview she did five years such, she's like,
- 22:50Speaker 2: oh god, damn, Terry. I know you're yeah approaching and
- 22:53Speaker 2: retirement age and.
- 22:54Speaker 4: All that, but still just cber.
- 23:01Speaker 2: I'll be sort of putting in the year buds ago
- 23:04Speaker 2: for a walk, and it's like, listen to a bit
- 23:05Speaker 2: of Terry. That's an interview she did.
- 23:07Speaker 4: No, maybe that time?
- 23:12Speaker 2: What what needle did Bart get in the end? What
- 23:15Speaker 2: was for measles? Yeah, hey, I think we did pretty
- 23:20Speaker 2: well this timmer. Well, I certainly didn't double up for one. Yeah. Yeah,
- 23:23Speaker 2: but also I'm normally like I don't know that, and
- 23:26Speaker 2: this time other guy answered all of them.
- 23:27Speaker 4: So you paid attention?
- 23:28Speaker 2: Okay, yeah it for me? All right? Stone cut of time,
- 23:41Speaker 2: Oh okay, now we're doing now did we just do them?
- 23:44Speaker 5: No?
- 23:45Speaker 4: Cheese piops. I'm just committing to that.
- 23:48Speaker 2: I know I'm aware.
- 23:50Speaker 6: Don't don't rub a bit by committe Let's committee too.
- 23:55Speaker 6: These are the jokes I just told a joke. My
- 24:01Speaker 6: favorite gift as everyone knows.

- 24:57Speaker 4: No, don't forget. If you have joined us this month,

- 25:05Speaker 4: not quite on the top tier.
- 25:06Speaker 2: That's approaching. Yes, we're more than halfway through all it's
- 25:09Speaker 2: going from next week's episode. Would say, sounds about right,
- 25:12Speaker 2: It sounds about right. Yes, all right, so let's get
- 25:15Speaker 2: into our review of the Dear Barton Do Do do
- 25:19Speaker 2: great song? And when you hear that, so he just
- 25:20Speaker 2: meantly think of this film right? Oh yeah? Yeah?
- 25:22Speaker 4: So the original aired. It was March second, two thousand
- 25:25Speaker 4: and eight, production code KA b F zero six, written
- 25:28Speaker 4: by Joel H. Cohen and directed by Matthew nas Dark,
- 25:31Speaker 4: Turfa Grace and Terry Gross Gross Gross Gross Gross did
- 25:35Speaker 4: a good jobs as Donny's not bad. Yeah, take you
- 25:39Speaker 4: can take a leaven?
- 25:39Speaker 2: Can't you a little bit? You mean everyone or just me?
- 25:43Speaker 3: You?
- 25:44Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah, I mean when he started on that seventies,
- 25:46Speaker 2: I was like, I really like this guy. He's great.
- 25:48Speaker 2: You know, it's low key, you know, good comic timing,
- 25:53Speaker 2: kind of go. You're happy to say you showed him
- 25:55Speaker 2: a few other things. I'm like, I don't know how
- 25:57Speaker 2: much range you've got. I mean he shows up in
- 26:02Speaker 2: in Predators, he does, Yeah, and for mine kind of
- 26:06Speaker 2: really derails that movie.
- 26:08Speaker 4: He's just not right for it. What just can't ever
- 26:10Speaker 4: buy him as a serious threat. No, and I know,
- 26:14Speaker 4: maybe like a psycho, but not a physical threat.
- 26:17Speaker 3: No.
- 26:17Speaker 2: And he's I know it's meant to be. Oh, you
- 26:19Speaker 2: never saw it coming that he was going to be
- 26:21Speaker 2: the big bad sorry spoiler for Predators. It's like he's
- 26:25Speaker 2: just not weird enough. Yeah, I don't know they wanted
- 26:30Speaker 2: to be. Probably could be any of the Batman film
- 26:33Speaker 2: he's in Spider Man, wasn't he Yeah he was. He
- 26:35Speaker 2: was Venom, he was the original Venom. Yeah, and even then,
- 26:38Speaker 2: not all that great in that either.
- 26:40Speaker 4: Sorry, sorry tofa. Apparently made a Star Wars film. He
- 26:43Speaker 4: apparently re edited the prequels into one movie. Yeah, no
- 26:47Speaker 4: one's ever seen it, Like people have seen it, but no.
- 26:48Speaker 2: People have seen it and they say it's really good. Yeah,
- 26:51Speaker 2: release it, release it. They just release it, make it happen.
- 26:54Speaker 4: So they're driving it.
- 26:55Speaker 2: You'll earn more goodwill from me TOFA because you know,
- 26:58Speaker 2: I don't like.
- 26:58Speaker 4: You just driving the kids to school. But let's not
- 27:03Speaker 4: forget the board.
- 27:05Speaker 2: Gag and the couch game because of course, quite frankly,
- 27:07Speaker 2: I didn't like the board gag. That struck me as
- 27:09Speaker 2: very two.
- 27:10Speaker 4: Thousand art teachers fat not pregnant jeep.
- 27:12Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, I'm completely insensitive, but it seems like
- 27:17Speaker 2: that seems like a but that just seems cruel.
- 27:21Speaker 4: But the art teacher is fat, not pregnant. That's why
- 27:24Speaker 4: would you have them right that on the board.
- 27:27Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, I know you're trying to invert the
- 27:28Speaker 2: normal thing of like, oh, congratulations on your upcoming baby.
- 27:33Speaker 4: I'm I'm not pregnant. You were right that they're fat,
- 27:36Speaker 4: they're not pregnant. It seems like a no one would
- 27:38Speaker 4: ever say that. Yeah, and light Bright and the couch
- 27:41Speaker 4: game two hands add to the light right, yeah?
- 27:44Speaker 2: Right? Did you? Isn't the strain thing?
- 27:46Speaker 4: I don't think so.
- 27:48Speaker 2: I don't think I ever played with light Bright.
- 27:49Speaker 4: I never did anyway. I just played with matches. I
- 27:53Speaker 4: got told to play the cards at the front.
- 27:56Speaker 2: I got told to play with the creepy guy Candy
- 28:00Speaker 2: go go by that good can good candy too handy.
- 28:07Speaker 2: That's my mind.
- 28:07Speaker 4: Yes, so margin's driving the kids to school, and but
- 28:11Speaker 4: at least it just being shitheads well but mostly just
- 28:13Speaker 4: sort of shit stirring. Yes, and I can totally relate.
- 28:16Speaker 4: Sometimes you just think, what, kids, what are you doing?
- 28:18Speaker 4: Do you have this in the backseat? Not necessarily the
- 28:20Speaker 4: backseat because they can't get to each other because they're
- 28:22Speaker 4: strapped in okay, but sometimes at home you just I go,
- 28:24Speaker 4: I said to dry kids and go into the toilet.
- 28:25Speaker 4: I'll be back in two minutes. Right and before my
- 28:28Speaker 4: O the moment my ass hits that seat, it's just
- 28:32Speaker 4: World War three. I'm like, you were you were sitting
- 28:35Speaker 4: there watching a film.
- 28:37Speaker 2: What has happened. I've walked twenty steps, close the door,
- 28:41Speaker 2: and I'm like, what's going on?
- 28:42Speaker 4: Holly's touching my thing?
- 28:43Speaker 2: It's my thing? No, it's mine? Now hell are you
- 28:46Speaker 2: telling me? I'm like, oh, damn, you and I have
- 28:51Speaker 2: a long common down. I was often when mars hits
- 28:53Speaker 2: that seat, it's World War three, as well, we're never
- 28:58Speaker 2: going to recover from this. It's pretty happy with that.
- 29:07Speaker 2: We're in the back seats, She's getting Lisa's kicking Bart
- 29:11Speaker 2: in the face with the cleats.
- 29:12Speaker 4: What was the point of the whole mars really realizing
- 29:14Speaker 4: home as a cab driver. It was just it didn't
- 29:18Speaker 4: make any sense.
- 29:19Speaker 2: Phil.
- 29:22Speaker 4: It was like a joke for a setup for anything else.
- 29:23Speaker 4: It was just a distraction for her.
- 29:26Speaker 2: I have no idea. Oh yeah, I mean there is
- 29:28Speaker 2: that she got distracted by the kids, right, That's why
- 29:31Speaker 2: she distracted by everything? Was was she yelling at the
- 29:34Speaker 2: kids when she crashed into into mom?
- 29:35Speaker 4: I can't remember. She crashed into my man? He dies
- 29:37Speaker 4: by suffocating on the air bag. Yeah, and that's the
- 29:40Speaker 4: end of that chapter. At school, Oh my god, they
- 29:44Speaker 4: killed man. But arrives at school and there's new meat
- 29:47Speaker 4: in his seat and it is Donny the new kid.
- 29:49Speaker 4: Who again, I know we're jumping forward, but I liked
- 29:52Speaker 4: the idea that they grabbed him from the orphanage. Isn't
- 29:55Speaker 4: just a new kid? They thought about the story. Yeah, yeah,
- 29:59Speaker 4: the Homer story could do without, but at least this
- 30:01Speaker 4: main story here. They felt like that a lot of
- 30:03Speaker 4: thought had gone into it.
- 30:04Speaker 2: There's a little bit of flesh on the bone. That
- 30:06Speaker 2: could be a little bit more flesh on the bone.
- 30:08Speaker 4: Yeah, so wially brings in the toilet that broken tour
- 30:11Speaker 4: for bart to sit on. And then this is where
- 30:14Speaker 4: Donny makes fun of missus cause of crab Apple.
- 30:16Speaker 1: Hey, Crabapple, your name sounds like crab apple.
- 30:19Speaker 4: Did you go sour waiting for someone to pick you?
- 30:22Speaker 2: Pretty much? I didn't mind that.
- 30:26Speaker 4: Did you go sour waity for someone to pick you?
- 30:27Speaker 4: I was like, hush, But that's why I could never
- 30:31Speaker 4: be a teacher. Yeah, not now, because you can't kick kids.
- 30:34Speaker 4: What's that? You can't hit kids? You wouldn't want to
- 30:36Speaker 4: do it now. Back in the day, they give you,
- 30:38Speaker 4: give you a grup o. Yeah, especially growing up Catholic.
- 30:42Speaker 4: I was talking to Nicola the other day. It just
- 30:43Speaker 4: blows my mind out. Your wife Jesus right excuciating thirty
- 30:48Speaker 4: years ago. Of course, we're kidding, thirty years ago, forty
- 30:53Speaker 4: years ago. You send your kids to school and it's
- 30:55Speaker 4: potential for the teacher to belt them. Oh yeah, that's insanity.
- 30:59Speaker 2: Belt them within boundaries. Yeah, oh yeah, I can't believe that.
- 31:03Speaker 2: I just cannot believe that. You can't even do it
- 31:04Speaker 2: and you're home, but just.
- 31:08Speaker 4: Sending you kip to school. No, I know, if they
- 31:11Speaker 4: behave themselves, they won't get hit. But every kid's little
- 31:14Speaker 4: ship sometimes.
- 31:15Speaker 2: Think about that, if they behave themselves, they won't get hit, but.
- 31:19Speaker 4: They always they never did. That's what day goes. Kids
- 31:22Speaker 4: got no respect. Now we were we were naughty back
- 31:24Speaker 4: in the day. We'd get we'd get the strap. And
- 31:26Speaker 4: I was like, so you didn't behave, so you weren't
- 31:28Speaker 4: behaving yourself and yet you and knowing you're gonna get strapped,
- 31:30Speaker 4: and you still misbehaved.
- 31:32Speaker 2: I don't see the logic. Somebody didn't learnt at school.
- 31:39Speaker 4: But anyway, enough about it back in the old day, yeah,
- 31:42Speaker 4: when times were better. But get the back end. It
- 31:47Speaker 4: just gives her the donny gives her the back end.
- 31:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 31:49Speaker 4: So he's impressing everybody at school with his little seesaw,
- 31:52Speaker 4: garbage bag, little launcher. Pretty good at the school. Yeah,
- 31:55Speaker 4: but threatens to threaten him because you know, I'm the
- 31:57Speaker 4: cool kid around here, not you. They get the little
- 31:59Speaker 4: capiche conversation.
- 32:01Speaker 2: I'm always kidd do you think but is the cool kid?
- 32:04Speaker 2: Do you think people regard bart as the cool kid.
- 32:06Speaker 2: What do you think he's standing in the playground?
- 32:09Speaker 3: Is?
- 32:09Speaker 4: It depends on what story they're telling that episode.
- 32:11Speaker 2: Yeah, because often, Yeah, sometimes he's bullied, sometimes he's cool everyone.
- 32:17Speaker 4: So the bullies bully everybody, right, the cool kids aren't
- 32:20Speaker 4: the bullies. But no one likes the bullies. No, they're
- 32:22Speaker 4: the bullies, right, I think of all the kids who
- 32:24Speaker 4: aren't the bullies, but is probably definitely high in the
- 32:26Speaker 4: pecking order, I guess.
- 32:28Speaker 3: So.
- 32:28Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm curious about that. I mean sometimes yeah, like
- 32:31Speaker 2: I said, it varies from episode to episode, storyline, the storyline, Yeah,
- 32:35Speaker 2: as the shows he thinks he's I think he thinks
- 32:37Speaker 2: he's super cool. Well, he's cool in this in the
- 32:39Speaker 2: Springfield world.
- 32:40Speaker 4: Remember that episode Summer of four foot two where they
- 32:42Speaker 4: go to h Yeah, yeah, Scraggs pat him or whatever.
- 32:46Speaker 4: It's called a Flann's holiday home. Right, the cool kids
- 32:49Speaker 4: there Aaron who's voiced by Christina RISCHINRICI. Yeah, that that
- 32:54Speaker 4: that he's not that level of cool. No, he's done.
- 32:56Speaker 4: It's a menace to them. They weren't that cool. They
- 33:00Speaker 4: were kind of like posers. Yeah, like you knew whatever.
- 33:05Speaker 2: The nineties, not as schools we thought they were.
- 33:07Speaker 4: But then Bart sends the garbage onto himself. He saw
- 33:11Speaker 4: it was also.
- 33:13Speaker 2: Nice that everything land on him sort of turned into face,
- 33:16Speaker 2: did it? Oh yeah, the spaghetti was like a weird
- 33:19Speaker 2: like cucumbers on his eyes. Okay, yes, it was all right.
- 33:23Speaker 4: They get Hope gets told his car is going to
- 33:25Speaker 4: take a week to be fixed, so they're offering him
- 33:27Speaker 4: the loaner. As you were saying earlier, I'm just laughing
- 33:29Speaker 4: at them over and I just thought, this just doesn't know,
- 33:33Speaker 4: this feels I know it shouldn't feel realistic, but they
- 33:36Speaker 4: would be reacting to this.
- 33:38Speaker 2: I'm just I'm winding the tape back to a few
- 33:41Speaker 2: seasons earlier, or maybe even ten seasons earlier. Ten somewhere
- 33:47Speaker 2: between two shots the Lip and Hell cartoons, the conception
- 33:56Speaker 2: of Mac graining Grey's Grand Green, somewhere between two and
- 34:05Speaker 2: ten seasons earlier, where you.
- 34:07Speaker 4: Have Home as Fast and ten seasons.
- 34:10Speaker 2: Yeah, continue, okay, closer to ten seasons. I get the feeling,
- 34:14Speaker 2: and this is maybe just me rewriting history, but Home
- 34:16Speaker 2: will be like trying to play a cool or thinking
- 34:18Speaker 2: that he's got something over on them.
- 34:20Speaker 4: But I go, I guess I can accept this guy. Yeah,
- 34:23Speaker 4: now he's obnoxious about it, but now he's just a
- 34:25Speaker 4: knocks about it, and there's no repercussions and they standing
- 34:28Speaker 4: out and take it.
- 34:28Speaker 2: Yes, to quote John Malaney imitating Mick Jagger, not funny,
- 34:34Speaker 2: but it does.
- 34:35Speaker 4: Seeing owner of a lonely herd, driver of a lonely car. Okay,
- 34:37Speaker 4: all is forgiven.
- 34:40Speaker 5: Driver up alone a car much better than a driver
- 34:44Speaker 5: up my normal car.
- 34:50Speaker 1: Fancy Wills, what song does the horn play?
- 34:53Speaker 2: None?
- 34:54Speaker 4: Classy he's got no horn. Don't quite get the gag.
- 34:57Speaker 2: But having no horn, I guess a classic car doesn't
- 35:00Speaker 2: need always the car. That would be fun, except then
- 35:12Speaker 2: someone would go, dando, do you have any Spanish or
- 35:15Speaker 2: Mexican heritage? You can't be doing a car horn that does?
- 35:18Speaker 2: Look what what could I have to do?
- 35:22Speaker 4: Would be a good horn?
- 35:22Speaker 3: Right?
- 35:23Speaker 2: Tequila would be a good Australian one would have to
- 35:27Speaker 2: be like it would have to be like the angels,
- 35:30Speaker 2: and that may.
- 35:32Speaker 4: That you push you do do do do do do?
- 35:35Speaker 4: If you drive a Toyota, that was your horn.
- 35:39Speaker 2: If you drive, can we think of any other songs
- 35:45Speaker 2: about the car?
- 35:47Speaker 4: If you're driving a Bogan, you do?
- 35:54Speaker 2: Let's continue, I think much like the writers of Simpsons
- 36:00Speaker 2: season nineteen. We ran that joke into the ground.
- 36:02Speaker 4: Yeah, so he's knocking bar on escapeboard saying come on,
- 36:04Speaker 4: come over right with yes and this These jokes are
- 36:07Speaker 4: going on far too long. That's the only time that
- 36:08Speaker 4: he really intersected the stories, isn't it.
- 36:10Speaker 2: I think so.
- 36:10Speaker 4: Yeah, but basically tells him respect can't be bought much
- 36:14Speaker 4: like love. So then they say unlike love.
- 36:17Speaker 2: Unlike love, love can be bought respect unlike That's what
- 36:20Speaker 2: I meant to say, sorry, which is also a sort
- 36:22Speaker 2: of a shout out to Robert de Niro, who was
- 36:29Speaker 2: a Scores as a regular. Of course, he directed a
- 36:31Speaker 2: movie called a Bronxtown, which is about a young boy
- 36:34Speaker 2: growing up in the Bronx acturally who sort of torn
- 36:36Speaker 2: between his dad, who's just a stand up nine to
- 36:40Speaker 2: five guy, and the local mobster, who is the local
- 36:42Speaker 2: mobster and really glamorous. And there's a line and about
- 36:45Speaker 2: you know, is it better to be loved or feared?
- 36:48Speaker 2: And I think they say something bad, no, because for
- 36:50Speaker 2: your last longer than love. Yeah. So that felt like
- 36:53Speaker 2: a little bit of a shout out, which could be
- 36:55Speaker 2: deliberate or could be a complete accident.
- 36:59Speaker 4: Who knows straws clutched them.
- 37:04Speaker 2: At least seven straws to drink all this.
- 37:07Speaker 4: But basically this is where bart realized I'm gonna I'm
- 37:09Speaker 4: going to do something about this, you know, I'm going
- 37:11Speaker 4: to be the cool kid. And they start this weird
- 37:13Speaker 4: weather tornado in the car and whatnot. Yeah again, I
- 37:17Speaker 4: don't know what was going on there. Anyway, Skinner and
- 37:19Speaker 4: will You are playing basketball. He's trying to get foul.
- 37:21Speaker 2: Duka doesn't want to play a Skinner, but Skinner keeps
- 37:23Speaker 2: offering more fowls, which I guess is the foreshadowing that,
- 37:26Speaker 2: Oh okay, this is why Willie would betray Skinner.
- 37:32Speaker 4: Why bart would think that?
- 37:33Speaker 2: Why?
- 37:33Speaker 4: But yeah, why why we.
- 37:36Speaker 2: Watching the episode would go oh okay, so that's why
- 37:39Speaker 2: Willy has gone to Barton said.
- 37:41Speaker 4: He doesn't like him.
- 37:41Speaker 2: Yeah, because god, he's making me play basketball.
- 37:44Speaker 4: Yes, yeah, So bart then put something in his shoes,
- 37:46Speaker 4: which you find out is what is it? Their metal?
- 37:49Speaker 4: Metal moves them. Yeah, Skinner shows off the new flex
- 37:53Speaker 4: plan for the lunches doesn't include like meat, vegetables and
- 37:55Speaker 4: dairy and what but you start slipping around, you know
- 38:00Speaker 4: it's one Tommy curse. No, of course it starts moving
- 38:02Speaker 4: around crazy because but a funny line and pretty well
- 38:04Speaker 4: delivered by Harry Bart, is revealed under the stage with
- 38:07Speaker 4: the magnets making the move Bugs Bunny with the golf
- 38:10Speaker 4: ball in space Jam, Fuck.
- 38:13Speaker 2: Space Jam.
- 38:15Speaker 4: Speaking of space Jam, the voice of Bugs Bunny in
- 38:17Speaker 4: space Jam was one Billy West, who I spoke to
- 38:19Speaker 4: last week.
- 38:21Speaker 2: Clang, okay, that's great.
- 38:24Speaker 4: I mean it's on the gym Cummings boat. That's correct.
- 38:26Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, was this one of those ones we
- 38:28Speaker 2: had to wake up like three in the morning.
- 38:30Speaker 4: Yes, it was.
- 38:31Speaker 2: It was blue three forty five am okay. And this
- 38:33Speaker 2: was the one where he said he I'm not going
- 38:34Speaker 2: to Billy, good for you. I'll be in dream land
- 38:40Speaker 2: trying to think of screw or whatever. Bobby in bed,
- 38:44Speaker 2: trying to think of what words mean. I think he
- 38:48Speaker 2: won that reund but it's revealed.
- 38:50Speaker 4: He's celebrated. Oh my god, it's Bart.
- 38:51Speaker 2: He's on.
- 38:52Speaker 4: He's what a funny thing he's done. But Skinner says
- 38:54Speaker 4: he's going to use the Catholic School punishment God, speaking.
- 38:56Speaker 2: Of capital punishment.
- 38:57Speaker 4: Oh yeah, a couple of punch. Catholic School punished. Sorry,
- 39:01Speaker 4: the guideline book, which is you know, getting this strap
- 39:03Speaker 4: and whatnot? If no one admits to who they are
- 39:05Speaker 4: and Donnie falls on the sword because you know, he
- 39:07Speaker 4: respects his style and but says, you know, I always
- 39:09Speaker 4: take care of my friends. So he's earned his trust. Now, yes,
- 39:12Speaker 4: now it's revealed that he's actually the spy. He did
- 39:15Speaker 4: that so these real culprit would come forward and say,
- 39:17Speaker 4: why do you do that? So they find out it's
- 39:18Speaker 4: Bar and we're going to put Bar away for a
- 39:20Speaker 4: long long time. I'm pretty sure ten days is a
- 39:23Speaker 4: long time for a kid. True. Yes, I mean we
- 39:26Speaker 4: have a great granted, I suspend suspended time out, so
- 39:30Speaker 4: we didn't really have what you mean like from my school.
- 39:34Speaker 4: So we had time out after school detention or suspended.
- 39:39Speaker 2: Yeah. I was never suspended. I had detention.
- 39:41Speaker 4: So time out was you had to stay inside when
- 39:44Speaker 4: it was lunchtime and stick around and just sit in
- 39:45Speaker 4: the room and do nothing, do work. Detention was stay
- 39:48Speaker 4: after school for an hour. And the tension seems like
- 39:51Speaker 4: a fucked up concept. It's like parents have shiit to do. True,
- 39:55Speaker 4: if my kid was naughty, punish him a school whatever,
- 39:58Speaker 4: but don't take an hour out of my fucking time,
- 40:00Speaker 4: because like, I can't pick at five o'clos is my time?
- 40:03Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what are you doing?
- 40:05Speaker 4: No, I'm fucking taking If a school said your kid's
- 40:08Speaker 4: got detention, I'm pretty sure as a parent you can
- 40:09Speaker 4: just go nah nah, they don't don't have the authority
- 40:15Speaker 4: of the of the children, right, you can literally, as
- 40:16Speaker 4: a parent, just go, I'm actually taking them. You can't
- 40:19Speaker 4: keep them. I mean, you're you're the problem with modern education.
- 40:24Speaker 4: I mean we we think that, you know, oh, at school,
- 40:26Speaker 4: we gott follow them. It's like, yeah, I understand that,
- 40:28Speaker 4: but between nine to three, do what you want. But
- 40:30Speaker 4: after three o'clock, I'm taking my kid home. That's a
- 40:32Speaker 4: good point. Yeah, I mean, hopefully you would reach some
- 40:35Speaker 4: kind of compromise. We'll be like, okay, yes he messed up,
- 40:39Speaker 4: but you know he's on my clock. Now I'll punish time,
- 40:45Speaker 4: and it's on that's all because of you, so you
- 40:48Speaker 4: don't have to. But yes, as I said, Donni's owned
- 40:53Speaker 4: the trust. I liked this gag here. I don't know
- 40:56Speaker 4: whether I'm ridden this wrong right, Maybe I'm clutching at
- 41:00Speaker 4: straws as well. He says, we've tried previous people to
- 41:03Speaker 4: try and break the art program. Utter Ralph and what
- 41:07Speaker 4: was it that.
- 41:07Speaker 2: Dog gardens council?
- 41:09Speaker 4: Right, not the Doug. I don't keep it, Dougod's gone
- 41:11Speaker 4: missing and Ralph is a bit of an idiot. Now
- 41:13Speaker 4: are they saying that that's the reason because they were
- 41:16Speaker 4: used as spies and Bart got to them.
- 41:18Speaker 2: Oh, so that's the reason Ralph has gone from lovably
- 41:21Speaker 2: naive to completely fucking stupid.
- 41:23Speaker 4: Yeah, AND's gone now and gone?
- 41:26Speaker 2: Who else did they mentioned that.
- 41:29Speaker 4: Ralph and Doug?
- 41:29Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 41:30Speaker 4: I wondered that they're using that as a reason why
- 41:33Speaker 4: Ralph gone completely just gone full Ralph. It's because he
- 41:36Speaker 4: was They tried to use him as a spy and
- 41:37Speaker 4: bartum never got full Ralph. No, never got full Ralph.
- 41:40Speaker 4: They pretend he pretends to yellow Donnie in front of bars,
- 41:42Speaker 4: but trust him and things. He's getting in trouble. And
- 41:45Speaker 4: bus has come to my player and got a place
- 41:47Speaker 4: with a view, and they're eating the blue called twizzlers, yeah,
- 41:51Speaker 4: up in Bart's treehouse.
- 41:52Speaker 2: But it's basically liquorice, right, it's red liquor yeah. Yeah.
- 41:55Speaker 4: But for some reason, I really love the delivery from Tofa.
- 41:57Speaker 4: Here you can really taste the blue. It just seems
- 41:59Speaker 4: like that's a care Look.
- 42:00Speaker 2: I ragged one grades earlier. The guy can deliver a line,
- 42:04Speaker 2: A good a good one line.
- 42:06Speaker 4: I find him more a comedic actor as opposed to
- 42:08Speaker 4: a serious actor. Yeah, I mean, I mean like an
- 42:10Speaker 4: act obviously, but I can buy him more as like
- 42:13Speaker 4: a goofy comedic role. Yes, the good light comedy lead. Yeah,
- 42:17Speaker 4: but just the idea of tasting the blue. You can
- 42:19Speaker 4: taste when you you say, what is what we taste like?
- 42:22Speaker 4: I can taste it. It's like a bubble bubble gummy flavor. Yes,
- 42:26Speaker 4: that's right. Yeah, what does purple taste like? It's grape
- 42:28Speaker 4: you know. So when there's lollies, though, you go, I
- 42:30Speaker 4: don't want a grape one. I want a purple one. Yeah,
- 42:33Speaker 4: I don't. I don't like yellow flavor. I don't like
- 42:35Speaker 4: yellow flavor. It's like, well it's lemon.
- 42:40Speaker 2: I'm not trying to eat too my sugar these days,
- 42:41Speaker 2: so I'm getting twenty percent sugar.
- 42:44Speaker 4: He didn't go fifty one because the fifty one is shit, right.
- 42:46Speaker 2: The fifty ones aren't bad, but they're also in a
- 42:48Speaker 2: smaller bad. They get less of them, and they get
- 42:50Speaker 2: less of them and they cost more. This seems counterproductive
- 42:54Speaker 2: on various level.
- 42:55Speaker 4: I've got a story about that as well, which you'll
- 42:57Speaker 4: get to you when you finish your story.
- 42:58Speaker 2: Oh okay, but you know you open up your snake's
- 43:01Speaker 2: baces like, oh a red one, a yellow one, a
- 43:03Speaker 2: green one, then the ones are just blank, like they're
- 43:09Speaker 2: no color.
- 43:09Speaker 4: Yeah, it's just it's just like lemonade. That's a good way.
- 43:14Speaker 2: But I guess that's I guess that's what's except them
- 43:17Speaker 2: really taste. It's just ways like snake.
- 43:19Speaker 4: It's kind of like a flat sprite or a flat solo.
- 43:24Speaker 2: Okay, that's a thank you for clarifying that, because I'm like,
- 43:28Speaker 2: did some just not go through the process.
- 43:32Speaker 4: That literally meant to be lemonade? Yeah, lemonee, not lemon lemonade.
- 43:37Speaker 2: I can't believe you'd.
- 43:38Speaker 4: Never heard that.
- 43:39Speaker 2: When what's Mitch and I did when we all did
- 43:41Speaker 2: the movie Guys, we're talking about the the Eddie Murphy
- 43:44Speaker 2: thing where he's impersonating Elvis Presley.
- 43:46Speaker 4: So I've never seen Delirious. I've never seen raw. Yeah,
- 43:49Speaker 4: but is it delirious?
- 43:50Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah, where he's talking about how they put Elvis
- 43:52Speaker 2: in movies. And Nelvis couldn't act, so he's saying all
- 43:54Speaker 2: these lines.
- 43:55Speaker 4: Okay, So.
- 43:58Speaker 2: It was the ones with lemonade. Lemon that cool refreshing drink. Yeah,
- 44:08Speaker 2: any one in my generations, I'll just do that eleven
- 44:12Speaker 2: a cool refreshing drink. Oh, we're entertaining ourselves and entertaining you.
- 44:23Speaker 4: I was going to say, though, now we alway talking
- 44:25Speaker 4: about the chicken su Luk as I get from my
- 44:26Speaker 4: favorite place here in gil Long. I'm not going to
- 44:27Speaker 4: name him because I'm gonna kind of put them down
- 44:29Speaker 4: a little bit here. Times are tough to get it right.
- 44:31Speaker 4: Cost of living in Australia. They put the prices up
- 44:34Speaker 4: by three dollars, right, so be it right. But when
- 44:37Speaker 4: I asked for double meat, now, motherfuckers ain't getting double meat.
- 44:41Speaker 4: And I got it once a couple of about three
- 44:43Speaker 4: weeks ago, and I was like, this feels not. I
- 44:46Speaker 4: got one a week later and I was like, it's
- 44:48Speaker 4: like you've done a drug deal. It's like, man, yeah,
- 44:50Speaker 4: I look at Talbot's holding it. I said, Nicola, because Nicola.
- 44:53Speaker 4: I used to weigh them and as a joke to say,
- 44:55Speaker 4: who's got the heaviest one? Right, Like when we get
- 44:57Speaker 4: them right, and they still always don't know how they
- 44:59Speaker 4: fucking did.
- 44:59Speaker 2: It.
- 45:00Speaker 4: Used to always be between six hundred and fifty grams,
- 45:02Speaker 4: six hundred and seventy right, Okay, the last one I
- 45:05Speaker 4: got was five hundred and ten, So there's one hundred
- 45:08Speaker 4: and fifty grands of chicken fucking gone missing. So I'm
- 45:11Speaker 4: paying three dollars extra, right, plus extra two dollars for
- 45:14Speaker 4: the double chicken.
- 45:15Speaker 2: You pay more and getting it getting less, I'm just like.
- 45:20Speaker 4: Oh no, if I can keep getting these things, guys
- 45:22Speaker 4: go out. One hundred fift grabs of chicken is a.
- 45:24Speaker 2: Lot, right, That's a that's a sizeable amenergy.
- 45:27Speaker 4: Yeah, it's just like, I'm just like, this used to
- 45:29Speaker 4: be full and now it's not full.
- 45:32Speaker 2: Paying more and getting less is something that will never
- 45:34Speaker 2: happen on the Forefinger discount net work. No, you can
- 45:36Speaker 2: pay more and you'll get a bit. You have a
- 45:38Speaker 2: lot of shit, chip. You can pay more and get
- 45:41Speaker 2: the same, But you get this shit.
- 45:43Speaker 4: Early, and you get it without any ads, and you
- 45:45Speaker 4: get bonus stuff as well. Yeah, speak at the heel
- 45:47Speaker 4: talking signfowld Taz. The Futurama movie reviews so much.
- 45:51Speaker 2: Yeah, like the way I served that to you so
- 45:54Speaker 2: you could do a bit of Sprigan followed it back.
- 45:56Speaker 2: Folleyed it back to you. I said, follied, this is
- 45:58Speaker 2: a folly.
- 45:59Speaker 4: Yes, but anyway, so basically, yeah, so Uda, Ralph and
- 46:03Speaker 4: Doug he go, they've all failed to try to get
- 46:07Speaker 4: to the bart system.
- 46:07Speaker 2: They're all up in the in the treehouse though.
- 46:10Speaker 4: That's right. They're having the blue chooes. That's why we
- 46:11Speaker 4: go to it, of course. Yeah, and then he reveals
- 46:14Speaker 4: the scams. They're going to be doing all these very scams.
- 46:17Speaker 4: So you're going to rig the is it the they
- 46:19Speaker 4: could read the cootie catcher and things like that. They've
- 46:21Speaker 4: got the answers for tests, all these kind of things.
- 46:24Speaker 4: So basically they're telling them all the secrets to Donnie,
- 46:26Speaker 4: not knowing that he's the he's the mole, he's a snitch.
- 46:28Speaker 4: And then they have a juice box fight. They sprayed Lisa.
- 46:30Speaker 4: Lisa goes to leave inside, she sees Margine with different colors.
- 46:34Speaker 2: They've all got different colors as well. Yes, one's purple,
- 46:37Speaker 2: ones red.
- 46:38Speaker 4: It's very nice. Marge is then doing her source hackers
- 46:40Speaker 4: we've already discussed, and unlocks the car from the inside.
- 46:43Speaker 2: I do like Lisa being all included. Yeah, that's fun
- 46:46Speaker 2: funds only fun of everyone's having fun. It's true, that's true.
- 46:49Speaker 4: Yeah, unlocks the car from the inside. Margine turned on
- 46:52Speaker 4: by this, so they go for a cruise. The roof
- 46:54Speaker 4: comes down, They've got some wine glasses and yeah, and
- 46:58Speaker 4: then they called to say that the car is ready.
- 46:59Speaker 4: You can pick it up after hours, nighttime.
- 47:03Speaker 2: Why is Guy's going the extra mind?
- 47:04Speaker 4: Yeah he is, Yeah, and was home. Thoma says, enjoy
- 47:06Speaker 4: the sounds of us making love.
- 47:08Speaker 2: I thought some grinding of gears and there was a transmission.
- 47:12Speaker 4: Yes, poor wise guy, I thought he's gonna get some
- 47:14Speaker 4: actual action.
- 47:15Speaker 2: He looked suitably perturbed by what's going on. Yes, but
- 47:18Speaker 2: then tries all the pranks. But they just keep getting foiled,
- 47:21Speaker 2: don't they. How is this happening? What's going on here?
- 47:24Speaker 2: To the sound the soundtrack of the drop Kick murvies,
- 47:27Speaker 2: was it shipping up to? Is it shipping up the bosx?
- 47:28Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 47:29Speaker 4: Yeah, which is just iconic for that film.
- 47:31Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 47:31Speaker 4: Yeah, So the medioca learning habits whatever it is, he
- 47:35Speaker 4: does the spit ball in the skinner's face, which is
- 47:37Speaker 4: actually note saying look out for the band candy. It
- 47:39Speaker 4: feels it with carrots the art class, but is going
- 47:42Speaker 4: to moon the the is it the photogopia? Yeah, it
- 47:44Speaker 4: gets pushed into the art class and he stuck because
- 47:47Speaker 4: yeah by Skinner.
- 47:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 47:49Speaker 4: Then Willie tells him there's a mole in here, like
- 47:52Speaker 4: there's someone on the inside. But thanks him. Then he
- 47:54Speaker 4: tattoos his arm.
- 47:55Speaker 2: I thought, yeah, they go too far with Willly these days,
- 47:59Speaker 2: just they make it just weirdly perverse.
- 48:01Speaker 4: Yes, it's odd. But then we get the chase sequence
- 48:04Speaker 4: of Bart trying to chase after who this person is
- 48:07Speaker 4: is really directly from the departed? Yeah, which it's great. Well, yeah,
- 48:12Speaker 4: he ends up in the immunization. Well, I guess you're
- 48:15Speaker 4: not injection umunization. I guess needleroom gets the measles. Now
- 48:18Speaker 4: the voice of Luncheley Doris here was not Doris grad
- 48:23Speaker 4: I think she passed away by this point.
- 48:24Speaker 2: It was trust me, Neil.
- 48:26Speaker 4: He just tells stress she puts the needle in, that's
- 48:29Speaker 4: just a guiding hole for the real needle. Then he
- 48:32Speaker 4: takes the boys out. You know, it's kind of like
- 48:34Speaker 4: when what's the movie? Is it Good Fellows or is
- 48:37Speaker 4: it Casino? Where the guys get beaten out in the field.
- 48:39Speaker 4: Oh that's casino casina. Yeah, brutal. He's still alive.
- 48:42Speaker 2: He's still alive, still breathing, He's already dead.
- 48:45Speaker 4: Horrifying, gentlemen.
- 48:47Speaker 1: Someone I thought I could trust is a rat. Now
- 48:52Speaker 1: let's see. Is it my best friend, my other best
- 48:56Speaker 1: friend or a kid I just met.
- 49:00Speaker 3: Me?
- 49:01Speaker 1: Grab Neil has his legs. Here's the rat. You grew
- 49:04Speaker 1: tired of always being in my shadow? No, I like
- 49:07Speaker 1: your shadow. It's nice and cool. Don't worry. We'll get
- 49:13Speaker 1: him out in a couple hours. Oh my gosh, it's
- 49:22Speaker 1: an our house.
- 49:23Speaker 5: It from the future.
- 49:25Speaker 1: Oay, I'm in here. Be quiet, robo party.
- 49:30Speaker 4: Okay, yeah, gros, Yeah, it's it's not cool.
- 49:35Speaker 2: Let's to give you the other day because I think
- 49:38Speaker 2: of Simps some stuff. I'm sure I talked about the past,
- 49:41Speaker 2: and I'm sure everyone has seen the past as a
- 49:43Speaker 2: girl who was either on because it predates TikTok. But
- 49:47Speaker 2: she did.
- 49:50Speaker 4: Marge doing you done so many times? Of course?
- 49:53Speaker 2: Yeah, but she did another, did another one, She did
- 49:55Speaker 2: another one where it was you did Millhouse as Fredo
- 49:59Speaker 2: from the end of Godfather, too, was like, I can't
- 50:02Speaker 2: do Millhouse. I'm smart and I deserve respect. Yeah, I'm
- 50:08Speaker 2: smart now like everybody thinks of But it was a
- 50:09Speaker 2: pitch perfect millhouse. Yeah, I gotta find and send it
- 50:12Speaker 2: to you. Yeah, but I suppose it the massacre.
- 50:16Speaker 4: Boy, you gotta do that.
- 50:19Speaker 2: You're gotta do that every time you do it.
- 50:21Speaker 4: That's a really cool photo behind the scenes photo of
- 50:24Speaker 4: the judge of his mouth, so before before they put
- 50:27Speaker 4: the thing in.
- 50:27Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, where he put the the cotton buds in.
- 50:30Speaker 4: Yeah, she's just like so. Homer then sees he's with
- 50:34Speaker 4: Lisa from the car bragging about his learning car. He
- 50:37Speaker 4: gets to the mechanic and realize that they're selling it
- 50:39Speaker 4: for ninety nine dollars.
- 50:40Speaker 2: Lisa is very impressed because yeah, she gets to not
- 50:42Speaker 2: only listen to n PR, but actually donate to them
- 50:44Speaker 2: in real time.
- 50:45Speaker 4: Yeah, but Homer can't stand the fact they're going to
- 50:47Speaker 4: sell his car looks part of the family, so he
- 50:49Speaker 4: swaps them back.
- 50:50Speaker 2: How much were they going to sell it for ninety
- 50:51Speaker 2: nine dollars?
- 50:52Speaker 4: Correct? Just gonna shoot them.
- 50:53Speaker 2: To a weird bunch of dudes.
- 50:55Speaker 4: I had so right. Yeah, I don't think my car
- 50:58Speaker 4: has been at the front for like a year. Now
- 51:00Speaker 4: because I was never use it, right, I'm just gonna
- 51:01Speaker 4: we're gonna scrap it, honestly, but then we won't have
- 51:05Speaker 4: the same car. I organized Wednesday, So tomorrow they're gonna come.
- 51:08Speaker 4: Because when we went to England, my my parents lost
- 51:12Speaker 4: my keys. I don't know where keys. I think get
- 51:13Speaker 4: a new keys cut for the car, right, right, So
- 51:16Speaker 4: that's why I.
- 51:16Speaker 2: Said, I think a lot of bad should happened while
- 51:18Speaker 2: you were in here.
- 51:19Speaker 4: I did. That's why I haven't driven the car since.
- 51:21Speaker 4: I was like, we'll get to when we get just
- 51:22Speaker 4: the car.
- 51:23Speaker 2: Now.
- 51:23Speaker 4: This stuff happened, other stuff happened, yeah, but basically so
- 51:26Speaker 4: the cars will be sitting there for a year, right.
- 51:29Speaker 4: This guy knocks like one of the others, right, A
- 51:30Speaker 4: whole year's been sitting there, right. I organized the keys
- 51:33Speaker 4: cut wednesday. Can I sleep in there? This guy knocked
- 51:35Speaker 4: on the door yesterday the Monday, right, So I caught
- 51:37Speaker 4: off the organized yesterday right Monday afternoon. He's got off
- 51:39Speaker 4: the door. He goes interested in selling your car, mate.
- 51:41Speaker 4: I was like, yeah, maybe I've like, I know, we
- 51:45Speaker 4: don't use all that often. He goes, how much you
- 51:47Speaker 4: want for it? I was like, I don't know what
- 51:48Speaker 4: would you be to offer. HEAs because I buy I
- 51:49Speaker 4: buy him fixed up cars and he goes a thousand
- 51:52Speaker 4: bucks and I was like, mate, it's a ba XR
- 51:53Speaker 4: six turbo. I'm like eight son for a thousand bucks
- 51:55Speaker 4: like the car. The car's work a lot. Well. Then
- 51:57Speaker 4: he goes, ah, it's a turbo. Is like yeah, he
- 51:59Speaker 4: has well, if you interests let me know. I'm like, yeah,
- 52:02Speaker 4: no worries. I go, I can hit it him editing
- 52:04Speaker 4: knock on the door again. No ship. Like a minute later,
- 52:07Speaker 4: he goes, I spoke to my mate. We take three
- 52:09Speaker 4: grand and I was just like, nah, no thanks mate,
- 52:12Speaker 4: put like a new gearbox in it, like three years ago.
- 52:13Speaker 4: They cost me three and a half in the loan.
- 52:14Speaker 4: He's like, oh enough, I know if he's my card,
- 52:17Speaker 4: if you if you want, if you want to stut,
- 52:18Speaker 4: let me know, I can make in. I mean at
- 52:19Speaker 4: Land knocked the door again. He goes, you take five
- 52:22Speaker 4: and a half.
- 52:22Speaker 2: I'm like, you've got from one thousand face two minutes,
- 52:31Speaker 2: like is either the best negotiator or the absolutely worse.
- 52:35Speaker 4: He's like, you take five and a half. I'll talk
- 52:36Speaker 4: to my wife. He goes right, no, worries. But if
- 52:38Speaker 4: you if you want any more, just just like we
- 52:40Speaker 4: want this cart and let me know. I'm like you.
- 52:42Speaker 4: Just if yes, I do want more, then that you're
- 52:45Speaker 4: going to take more.
- 52:46Speaker 2: You pay more, Yeah, find a ceiling for yourself and
- 52:49Speaker 2: say no, I'll take ten. Yeah, at which point he's
- 52:51Speaker 2: gonna have to start going backwards like ten because it's
- 52:53Speaker 2: just like a thousand bucks. No, he's really I was
- 52:56Speaker 2: like no, Nos. Three and a half, five and a half.
- 52:58Speaker 4: Your talk of.
- 52:58Speaker 2: Keys remind me of suddenly that happened to me the
- 53:01Speaker 2: other day.
- 53:01Speaker 4: If you don't mind this, did you meet Alisha p
- 53:05Speaker 4: Did you meet Alisha? I don't know that, man. Oh no,
- 53:11Speaker 4: it's a joke. Use better references.
- 53:14Speaker 2: You should have said Sabrina Carpenter. Well, I thought you were.
- 53:16Speaker 4: Gonna do that wet dream to me? Have seen that meme?
- 53:20Speaker 4: I have no hot TWI girl's a it's a new thing.
- 53:24Speaker 4: She went on his interview on his Interviews podcast. Right,
- 53:26Speaker 4: she goes, it's an old rap, and the guy's like,
- 53:29Speaker 4: it's the it's the fucking his name isscaes me. But
- 53:32Speaker 4: he's just one of those right wing TV hosts right
- 53:35Speaker 4: and Bill.
- 53:36Speaker 2: Maher Bill ma Bill maher, Oh yeah, it was creepy. Yeah,
- 53:40Speaker 2: Bill Mars kind of creepy. Yeah. Have you seen that
- 53:42Speaker 2: clip because he has that thing Club Rand where he
- 53:44Speaker 2: basically just gets stoned.
- 53:45Speaker 4: And interviews people. Yeah, yeah, so he was talking about
- 53:47Speaker 4: it was the one where.
- 53:48Speaker 2: Steve I was only said making it not smoked because
- 53:50Speaker 2: I'm trying to like stay sober, and Bill was like,
- 53:52Speaker 2: it's dip sure off by Yeah.
- 53:56Speaker 4: Anyway, so she says like Jays' like, eh, guys, that
- 54:00Speaker 4: that New York summit but wet dream tomato. And then
- 54:03Speaker 4: they finally was like New York canquerit jungle wet dream tomato.
- 54:08Speaker 4: That's all we can hear.
- 54:09Speaker 2: Now.
- 54:10Speaker 4: Girl, she has got it.
- 54:12Speaker 2: It's the weirdest thing. She starts off with this off
- 54:17Speaker 2: color and quite frankly awesome Gegerbets spitting on someone.
- 54:20Speaker 4: But young I showed Nichola had never heard of her,
- 54:23Speaker 4: right yesterday, I was like, have you heard of She's?
- 54:25Speaker 3: Like? Who?
- 54:26Speaker 4: I showed it.
- 54:26Speaker 2: She was like, what a girl. She's just the most wholesome,
- 54:30Speaker 2: awesome chip. You know, she's throwing at the first baseball
- 54:34Speaker 2: and doing the Dad didn't give a ship, didn't give
- 54:36Speaker 2: a ship she's raising money for pet bar She's fantastic.
- 54:40Speaker 4: We love Hawk Twig Girl, come on the truck and
- 54:41Speaker 4: I wet Dream Tomato.
- 54:46Speaker 2: Love it. I'm walking past my guy for a walk,
- 54:51Speaker 2: walking past my front garden. I guess, like what It's
- 54:58Speaker 2: a pair of boots that are not mine, two cigarette lighters,
- 55:04Speaker 2: a tube of like poor poor lip stuff, and a.
- 55:08Speaker 4: Set of keys in your front lawn.
- 55:10Speaker 2: Yeah, not quite on the lawn, but in like a
- 55:13Speaker 2: garden section of your property of my inside my fence.
- 55:18Speaker 2: And I'm like, I guess I'm gonna get I guess
- 55:21Speaker 2: someone's gonna come back for these in a little bit.
- 55:23Speaker 2: I'm gonna have my walk and then I'll set up
- 55:25Speaker 2: a camera. Right, Well, maybe I should Yeah, is it
- 55:28Speaker 2: still there? Well yeah, I mean I came back today. No, No,
- 55:32Speaker 2: this was a couple of days ago. Like they were
- 55:35Speaker 2: there for a while. No one's coming to collect them.
- 55:37Speaker 2: So I'm like, well, I'm going to straighten up these
- 55:39Speaker 2: boots and put them in the corner. I'm gonna put
- 55:41Speaker 2: the lighters in there. I looked on the keys. There's
- 55:43Speaker 2: a tag with a number on it, and I'm like,
- 55:46Speaker 2: I should text this number. But at the same time,
- 55:47Speaker 2: do I want to bring this energy into my life?
- 55:51Speaker 2: I would, well, because now you never know who it was.
- 55:53Speaker 2: Well I know.
- 55:53Speaker 4: I mean I've got to return these keys.
- 55:55Speaker 2: They're still there. Yeah yeah, oh ship. Now, so I'm
- 55:57Speaker 2: doing that today. When we're wrapped up here, I'm gonna
- 55:59Speaker 2: take say, no, no, you know.
- 56:00Speaker 4: What that is? What is it? Someone's being killed. They've
- 56:02Speaker 4: taken their boots off and thrown their ship in your
- 56:04Speaker 4: front lawn.
- 56:05Speaker 2: Well that's the thing. Well, that's what I'm saying.
- 56:06Speaker 4: Do I want to bring it checked off your bit
- 56:08Speaker 4: out the back? Is it a body in there? Well yeah,
- 56:11Speaker 4: but I mean I put that there.
- 56:12Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, fair enough.
- 56:14Speaker 4: So are they women's boots on men's boots? They look.
- 56:18Speaker 2: Damn, that's twenty twenty four. Give the times they get
- 56:22Speaker 2: what they look. They look mainly okay at the same time,
- 56:25Speaker 2: not that big two segarette lighters, two cigarette lighters, you
- 56:28Speaker 2: know that.
- 56:29Speaker 4: Poor poor stuff.
- 56:29Speaker 2: It's like it comes in a rich cube and a
- 56:32Speaker 2: set of keys, and the keys having a tag with
- 56:34Speaker 2: a number on.
- 56:35Speaker 4: Can we call them right now? Do you take a
- 56:37Speaker 4: photo of the number?
- 56:38Speaker 1: No?
- 56:38Speaker 4: No, damn, we could have caught on the show. Well,
- 56:40Speaker 4: should we do it? Later. Let's do it. Yeah, let's
- 56:43Speaker 4: do it later.
- 56:44Speaker 2: This could goes wrong in so many ways.
- 56:47Speaker 4: I don't know what you find out next week's show
- 56:49Speaker 4: where the guy if guys know here, you know he.
- 56:50Speaker 2: Was killing and I'm Mitch, okay, guys there.
- 56:56Speaker 4: But let's go let's go up this. It's apisode, shall
- 56:58Speaker 4: we Okay? But still so homo sid right, Oh, very
- 57:02Speaker 4: very weird. So Homer's swapped the car back and that's
- 57:05Speaker 4: just the end of that story, just pointless. He said, yeah,
- 57:08Speaker 4: but noticed the Skinner's blue tongue when they're trying to
- 57:10Speaker 4: set up the banner of whatever it was, and he realized,
- 57:12Speaker 4: oh shit, that's what it's him. It's it's Donnie. So
- 57:16Speaker 4: they changed plans on their way to Skinner's house and
- 57:19Speaker 4: it's revealed here we know it was you. And then's
- 57:21Speaker 4: revealed that.
- 57:21Speaker 2: Willy's in it as well. Yeah, he's a rat within
- 57:24Speaker 2: a rap. Well before that though, actually I've got so
- 57:27Speaker 2: I've got my notes.
- 57:28Speaker 4: Willis in on it. WILLI is the one that opens
- 57:30Speaker 4: the door. So he's actually looked trick Bart into thinking
- 57:33Speaker 4: that you know, Donnie's he's helping him out because he
- 57:35Speaker 4: lets Donny into the into the building, reveals that they
- 57:37Speaker 4: got him from the orphanage. That's why he did it.
- 57:39Speaker 4: You kind of feel sorry for Donnie here.
- 57:40Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, he's been played by the system as
- 57:42Speaker 2: much as else which is in The Departed as well.
- 57:44Speaker 2: You got these two young cops who are you know,
- 57:45Speaker 2: one's one's undercover, one's undercover. But but the crooks like, yeah,
- 57:51Speaker 2: but they've been manipulated since they were kids essentially.
- 57:53Speaker 4: So yeah, so they're going to fizz him. But then
- 57:56Speaker 4: it's revealed that Willy was also on the inside, and
- 57:58Speaker 4: they've got all the coke there coke and all the mentos. Donnie,
- 58:02Speaker 4: he says, Donnie, you can be happy knowing that you
- 58:04Speaker 4: betrayed the one boy who cared about you. So he says, now,
- 58:07Speaker 4: fuck this face. Turn pushes the pushes the coke or
- 58:10Speaker 4: the mentos whatever. They crash into each other and it
- 58:13Speaker 4: causes the big fizz, the big fizz, Yes.
- 58:19Speaker 5: Skinner, Skinner, I'm all right, sir, don't ever scare me
- 58:24Speaker 5: like that again.
- 58:26Speaker 4: And then we get Donnie leaving, you know, just to
- 58:28Speaker 4: survive or whatever. Kind of a weird wrap.
- 58:31Speaker 2: Up, yeah, but still going to be in trouble. I'm guessing, yeah,
- 58:35Speaker 2: I guess.
- 58:36Speaker 4: Yeah, anyway, but no, he says, I should hang out more,
- 58:39Speaker 4: make nunchucks. This is the thing. The ending wasn't wrapped
- 58:43Speaker 4: up in a sense enough where if you're watching, you
- 58:45Speaker 4: would expect Donnie just still be at school. Why would
- 58:47Speaker 4: he not be at school anymore?
- 58:49Speaker 2: That's true. I mean maybe being at school, getting an
- 58:53Speaker 2: education and all that kind of stuff, being becoming a
- 58:55Speaker 2: respectable member of society is the price he has to
- 58:59Speaker 2: pay for being snitch. And it's like, well, no, I'm
- 59:02Speaker 2: not gonna be a snitch. I'm not going to sell
- 59:03Speaker 2: out my friend, and so he has to just go
- 59:05Speaker 2: on the run.
- 59:06Speaker 4: Could you just go to the good To place and say,
- 59:08Speaker 4: these guys got me from the orphanage, they bought me
- 59:11Speaker 4: if they bought me, so then we get Ralph saying
- 59:14Speaker 4: rat symbolize obviousness, and that's the end of the episode.
- 59:17Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I mean, look the rat at the end
- 59:19Speaker 2: of The Departed. If you haven't seen The Departed, it's
- 59:21Speaker 2: all about, you know, snitches and rats and all that
- 59:22Speaker 2: kind of stuff. And at the very end you see
- 59:24Speaker 2: a rat scurrying across the balcony of the nice apartment
- 59:28Speaker 2: that Matt Damon used to have and it's like there
- 59:31Speaker 2: were people who are actually saying, can we crab on
- 59:33Speaker 2: to get that editor out of the movie.
- 59:35Speaker 4: And it's like the two on the nose. It's a
- 59:37Speaker 4: bit on the nose.
- 59:38Speaker 2: But I don't know, I don't think the sense it's
- 59:42Speaker 2: in any position to take shots that Martin's gonna.
- 59:44Speaker 4: Say, but as a film there though, he's sort of
- 59:47Speaker 4: like laughing at the fact that they probably think the
- 59:50Speaker 4: same thing. I guess so because you probably you said
- 59:53Speaker 4: you would pay to be part of the crowdfund together.
- 59:55Speaker 4: I would not, Oh you wouldn't. You don't mind? Some
- 59:59Speaker 4: people take a bit too seriously, don't they? They do
- 1:00:01Speaker 4: a bit?
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean we're all for Tofa Grace re editing
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: the prequels, the prequels into one movie because the prequels
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: will still exist. What do we learn Bomber?
- 1:00:12Speaker 4: All right, so what did you learn from the debarted?
- 1:00:14Speaker 4: Mister Davis? Don't be a snitch? Snitches get stitches?
- 1:00:16Speaker 3: Do they?
- 1:00:17Speaker 5: They?
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: Yeah? Probably not. They probably live a pretty good life.
- 1:00:21Speaker 4: I learned that, you know, the mentos and diet coat thing,
- 1:00:24Speaker 4: as does that actually work?
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: I want to try. It's made me want to try
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: it was it? Is it myth Busters the show that
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: does things like that where they bust myths. Yeah, they
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: bust myths, bust and makes them feel good. I'm pretty
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: sure they've done the thing with it. Yeah, let's put
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: Mentos in the dicoke. I've always thought it was the
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: toxic combination, was like wizbis and coke.
- 1:00:44Speaker 4: What's the one where they even legend is like, was
- 1:00:46Speaker 4: it mentos? They drop into the bottom, put their mouth
- 1:00:48Speaker 4: over and it shoots up?
- 1:00:49Speaker 2: Is that? Is that?
- 1:00:50Speaker 4: What that is? There's some videos where they.
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: It sounds like something I would watch and enjoy it.
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: It sounds a bit hot, it sounds.
- 1:00:55Speaker 4: A bit hock. Anyway, That is our review of the
- 1:00:59Speaker 4: de Bart, isn't it?
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: It is?

- 1:01:21Speaker 2: shit right. You keep going the new Name Challenge, Guy
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: Dave's New Name Challenge.
- 1:01:25Speaker 4: That's right.
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: From name forward, your name will be.
- 1:01:30Speaker 4: It is, of course, the Guy Davis New Name Championship
- 1:01:32Speaker 4: for the Debarted. We're recording this on a separate day
- 1:01:36Speaker 4: from what we did the previous stuff. Don't show them
- 1:01:39Speaker 4: what goes on last episode but didn't last I addressed
- 1:01:41Speaker 4: to the part and you're like, ah, you pulled the
- 1:01:43Speaker 4: curtain right back.
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: That's true. We don't have the cameras on or anything
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: like that.
- 1:01:47Speaker 4: It's just audio this time. And yes, it is the It's.
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: Sometimes it's the New Name Challenge. Sometimes it's the Guy
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: Davis New Name Championship. Anyway, it's new names. It's new
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: names for the Departed, which have a pretty good title.
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: These are three pretty good ones as well.
- 1:02:02Speaker 4: The reason that we're doing on a separate day, though,
- 1:02:03Speaker 4: let you guys know, is because we're given the patrons
- 1:02:05Speaker 4: the next couple of days to come up with some
- 1:02:07Speaker 4: new names.
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: Was that it Yes, well it's not out of any
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: disorganization's because not because of you know, what is a
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: book week?
- 1:02:14Speaker 4: Yeah, book Week's crazy don't. I don't get in the
- 1:02:16Speaker 4: book work. But so when did you post it? Was
- 1:02:18Speaker 4: it the monday that you posted as for new names?
- 1:02:20Speaker 4: I thought it was over the weekend. It was over
- 1:02:21Speaker 4: the weekend, Okay, a couple of days, Like, let's give
- 1:02:23Speaker 4: a few extra couple of days. You're very thoughtful. Yeah,
- 1:02:26Speaker 4: you're very We are thought for people here at four
- 1:02:28Speaker 4: thick discount. But one of us is what's your one? Two?
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: Three? Okay?
- 1:02:31Speaker 4: Did we want to the current leaderboard board? People were invested? Yeah,
- 1:02:35Speaker 4: on thirteen points in first position. We have Jared Hornby
- 1:02:38Speaker 4: in second position on twelve points and says he Adam
- 1:02:40Speaker 4: moorehouse and in third position Phil Hawkins on nine he.
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: Hasn't got his jay back yet. But let's see what
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: happens after this one point goes to don't do what
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: Donnie does.
- 1:02:52Speaker 4: That is all first time ever on the leaderboard. I
- 1:02:55Speaker 4: think Andrew JP JP for the one pointer.
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: Wait a minute, is he doing straying out of the mail?
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: I know, get into your line, mate, Stay in your lane, buddy.
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: But we're very welcome to welcome you, very happy to

- 1:03:12Speaker 2: And yeah, well don you you got you're a wild
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: card entry. Yes, I'd end up winning something at the
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: this who knows two points go to Spey cant number.
- 1:03:20Speaker 4: That's a good name. Spikeer rumber spike and runs not bad.
- 1:03:23Speaker 4: I like it a bit of a throwback there, or
- 1:03:25Speaker 4: Phil Hawkins with the two points there, Hawkins is coming back.
- 1:03:28Speaker 4: This is sort of getting into second gear now.
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: So gonna earn those stripes, buddy.
- 1:03:32Speaker 4: Phil Hawkins now outright, still third on eleven points, is
- 1:03:35Speaker 4: only one point behind second now and he is only
- 1:03:38Speaker 4: two points behind first Joe hornby two points we had first.
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: Let's see what happens when I give three points to
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: snitch perfect.
- 1:03:47Speaker 4: Oh shit, oh boy, it's Jared Hornby.
- 1:03:52Speaker 2: Running off it in the distance, showing everybody's heels.
- 1:03:56Speaker 4: He is Jared Horby. Now Jared Hornby goes from thirteen
- 1:04:00Speaker 4: six damage makes him now for clear in first position
- 1:04:03Speaker 4: because Paul Adam willhusedn' get any points this week.
- 1:04:05Speaker 2: So wow, we're approaching the end of the AFL footy
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: season here and here in Australia, and it's like, can
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: the cats just pull away a little bit more and
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: you know, get near the top of the ladder at
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: the end of the season, you know, give themselves a
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: bit of a chance at the you know that's for
- 1:04:20Speaker 2: the flag. As the finals approach. You know, American listening going,
- 1:04:23Speaker 2: what are they talking about? This is who is how
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: we feel when you talk about the electoral College. By
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: the way, not to get all political, but the Democratic
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: National Convention has been happening. I want to give a
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: shout out. I don't know if you're listening, but Tim No,
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: Gus Walls, if you want to be a fan of
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: the show, we might even throw you a free patron
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: thing because that kid just rocks.
- 1:04:45Speaker 4: I love him as your view watching it, Bobby, that's
- 1:04:47Speaker 4: my dad very much. He was shut up.
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: That's my son then, But Gus top kid like that
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: guy lot so.
- 1:04:58Speaker 4: Charon hornby sixteen points, Adam Wirehouse and Phil Hawkins on eleven.
- 1:05:01Speaker 2: So it's first, second and third. Very tight there, I
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: mean four points isn't huge lead. We only have the
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: episodes rubbing his hands together. Yeah, oh, very close.
- 1:05:08Speaker 4: We only have to episode twelve of the season. There's
- 1:05:10Speaker 4: still ten more episodes ago, plenty of time to catch up.
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: There are I thought there were twenty episodes this season.
- 1:05:16Speaker 4: Twenty this season, was there or maybe because of this
- 1:05:18Speaker 4: movie they only did twenty. Let's have a look, shall we,
- 1:05:20Speaker 4: Simpsons season nineteen.
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: It'd be nice for me to get something right, brit Chane.
- 1:05:24Speaker 4: I'm sure you probably out there are only twenty you great, Yeah,
- 1:05:26Speaker 4: I don't gold Staff there was only eighteen I think
- 1:05:30Speaker 4: last year. Wow, because of the Riders strike. Yeah, it
- 1:05:33Speaker 4: was the shortest season since the first one.
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: Lowsy writers always wanting more.
- 1:05:38Speaker 4: In season seven there were twenty five episodes. That's crazy, right,
- 1:05:42Speaker 4: that's pretty insane. That is crazy Adams, that is Adam.
- 1:05:46Speaker 4: It's mind. Yes, all right, guys, that is the new
- 1:05:48Speaker 4: name championship for this week. The next episode of season
- 1:05:51Speaker 4: nineteen we shall be reviewing, which would be next week's
- 1:05:53Speaker 4: show will be dial N for Neurder.
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: Oh that's right, Martin. Yeah, Martin players a significant part.
- 1:06:01Speaker 4: Yes, he does. I remember actually watching this one when
- 1:06:03Speaker 4: at first and it was.
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: A beep deal. Okay, I'm looking forward.
- 1:06:07Speaker 4: I think I've watched it since. For Martin, Yeah, I think.
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: I saw some tip jar where it was like, here's
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: a tip, put a pinture sage in your boots and
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: every day, every step will be a spicy reward. God
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: bless that boy.
- 1:06:22Speaker 4: The older we get, the more we see a little
- 1:06:24Speaker 4: bit ourselves in Martin, Oh very much a young you.
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: I don't want it.
- 1:06:27Speaker 4: I'm not but my Conda, Yeah, I was a Martin.
- 1:06:35Speaker 4: Was the combination of Lisa Millhouse and Martin. Want you
- 1:06:38Speaker 4: say the slightly book smarts of of Lisa, the what
- 1:06:42Speaker 4: would you say? The flamboyantness of Martin and the darkness
- 1:06:47Speaker 4: what was the point dexter ish pot is of Millhouse? Anyway,
- 1:06:51Speaker 4: that'd be next week dial and for note has been debarded.
