- 0:10Speaker 1: Patriot's Unfiltered, So Deuce will be one of the exclusive
- 0:20Speaker 1: people inside. Oh all right, no one's told me I
- 0:22Speaker 1: could go? Can I go? I mean, I think Levy
- 0:25Speaker 1: was caught the way there. He had a great team,
- 0:28Speaker 1: great person you know, great players. They were sorry they
- 0:34Speaker 1: were unnecessary one however, that came out of nowhere. They
- 0:38Speaker 1: were they were loaded. Jack says um about my snowblower.
- 0:44Speaker 1: Back in my day, we didn't use a snowblower, and
- 0:48Speaker 1: back in the old days before climate change, we got
- 0:50Speaker 1: a lot of snow. Steve Richard, you guys a mean
- 0:54Speaker 1: to me because I know stuff. I mean, I wish
- 0:56Speaker 1: I could recall that stuff, and it seems like you
- 0:59Speaker 1: make fun of me. Awful lot. Don't don't get all hearty.
- 1:01Speaker 1: There's nothing fin about me me right, nor don't don't
- 1:05Speaker 1: start pech Peter. This is Patriot's Unfiltered, fueled by Dunking.
- 1:16Speaker 1: Matt does a great job wrapping up the essence of
- 1:19Speaker 1: every show. Yeah, I still I'm laughing still, and I
- 1:22Speaker 1: still have no idea what it means, I guess you
- 1:26Speaker 1: know I that at F bomb really, Reber, I hadn't
- 1:30Speaker 1: heard it. I hadn't heard it. It It did come out
- 1:31Speaker 1: of nowhere. Yeah, it didn't seem like you were at
- 1:35Speaker 1: It was completely no anger and me getting under his skin. Nothing,
- 1:39Speaker 1: completely unnecessary, unwarranted, uncalled for. But who wasn't you were
- 1:45Speaker 1: referring to the bills in the eighties. Oh yeah, yeah,
- 1:48Speaker 1: you know where they were they were loaded. That would
- 1:51Speaker 1: have been funny if you just said it. Anyway, all right,
- 1:55Speaker 1: we had some fun yesterday and we'll have some fun today.
- 1:58Speaker 1: It's it is Thursday here at Gillette Stadium, and uh
- 2:02Speaker 1: getting ready for the Miami Dolphins four twenty five on Sunday.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Also getting ready for a little snow tomorrow. You know. Yeah,
- 2:10Speaker 1: I was going to talk to you about what's that.
- 2:13Speaker 1: We'll see what I'm like. Yeah, yeah, I'll be I'll
- 2:16Speaker 1: be hearing more like eight Michael, Michael here, Mike for
- 2:21Speaker 1: practice the blizzard. Yeah, evidently Bill Belichi Hills already talked
- 2:27Speaker 1: about the snowstorm. Oh what's he saying? Because I have
- 2:29Speaker 1: one hundred and eleven different people in my feet that
- 2:31Speaker 1: have given me the divine Godshaw quote that Bill had
- 2:34Speaker 1: the snow speech with us. You must have been the
- 2:36Speaker 1: meeting this morning. Yeah, like sleeping here overnight. You're not
- 2:39Speaker 1: late tomorrow morning. I know you guys aren't Jetsons, but
- 2:42Speaker 1: you better get your ass over here. Just running fast
- 2:45Speaker 1: and loose with the swears. Yeah you can say that, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 2:49Speaker 1: the Jetsons. That was two thousand and nine, And was
- 2:51Speaker 1: it Dailies Thomas that's right, Randy, Yeah, Randy and and
- 2:57Speaker 1: a couple of other guys Ary Gen, I don't know
- 2:59Speaker 1: very g thinks where the Jetsons. Yeah, but everybody else
- 3:02Speaker 1: got here, you know, they don't have the spaceship anyway. Um. Yeah,
- 3:06Speaker 1: so we're supposed to get anywhere from two to eight
- 3:08Speaker 1: inches some places. Yeah, who knows. I don't know. It's
- 3:12Speaker 1: tracking more towards us. So it looks like when you
- 3:14Speaker 1: say us, what do you mean southern New England? Southernlan Yeah? Yeah,
- 3:18Speaker 1: Are you just throwing Rhode Island in that mix? Why
- 3:21Speaker 1: wouldn't I know what you got against Rhode Island? So
- 3:25Speaker 1: just busting just busting you, all right? Um? Any So,
- 3:30Speaker 1: no new COVID news uh. In terms of guys on lists,
- 3:35Speaker 1: no for these two teams. Yea, not yet, but dugger
- 3:39Speaker 1: hand injury, Yes, what came out yesterday, So that's why
- 3:42Speaker 1: he was not at practice. I wonder if perhaps he
- 3:44Speaker 1: will be there today. Um you know yesterday were they
- 3:47Speaker 1: were in pads, so maybe they're out of pads. Maybe
- 3:50Speaker 1: they'll let them get out there. I don't know, but
- 3:52Speaker 1: uh yeah, maybe another guy to to add to the
- 3:54Speaker 1: rest list this weekend? Did did he? I didn't see
- 3:58Speaker 1: anything again, yeah, because was it on the interception because
- 4:01Speaker 1: it looked like he got into the end zone and
- 4:03Speaker 1: was you know, just like oh, you know, like I
- 4:05Speaker 1: didn't get the touchdown. It didn't look like he was
- 4:08Speaker 1: hurt or anything. And it was hard to tell if
- 4:10Speaker 1: he left the game early because that was what third quarter,
- 4:13Speaker 1: that interception, and I didn't really notice if he had
- 4:17Speaker 1: much time after that. Plus it will be hard to know,
- 4:20Speaker 1: right if he at that point, you know, because like
- 4:23Speaker 1: justin Bethel came in the game, Guys like that in
- 4:25Speaker 1: the game in the fourth quarter late in the game,
- 4:27Speaker 1: right as if it was because of someone getting banked
- 4:29Speaker 1: up or just right, plus a hand. I feel sometimes
- 4:32Speaker 1: you play through that kind of stuff and then after
- 4:34Speaker 1: the game it's it's not quite. As the adrenaline wears off,
- 4:37Speaker 1: it starts to hurt a little more, and you're yeah, yeah, right, exactly. Yeah.
- 4:42Speaker 1: I mean I broke my hand playing football and I
- 4:45Speaker 1: played ping pong that night. Didn't know I broke my
- 4:47Speaker 1: hand until later, So it can happen right through a
- 4:50Speaker 1: round of ping pong, no idea, because it was a
- 4:52Speaker 1: man a man? Then did you call the guy up
- 4:56Speaker 1: by the way, But like, I couldn't move it, So
- 4:59Speaker 1: then my father took me. They took X rays and
- 5:01Speaker 1: I broke my hand. No, yeah, no, nothing nothing better
- 5:06Speaker 1: though to have that cast, put the crib notes on
- 5:09Speaker 1: it when you're taking tests amongst all the signatures, yeah,
- 5:14Speaker 1: outlines and yeah, all kinds of things, garners, some sympathy
- 5:18Speaker 1: with the uh, the ladies and there, yeah, sign my cast,
- 5:22Speaker 1: and then you know, you put the answers to the
- 5:24Speaker 1: test in between the it's not my cast. Was that
- 5:26Speaker 1: your biggest injury? You ever injured? Your knee, like the
- 5:28Speaker 1: one that you had to get replaced? Was that several times? Yeah,
- 5:33Speaker 1: no big injury though, no ligament tears or yeah, yeah
- 5:37Speaker 1: it's tough wrestling. I wrestling. Never hurt myself in wrestling
- 5:43Speaker 1: the other guy though you should see him. Um. Then
- 5:48Speaker 1: the other lot of injuries in that sport from there
- 5:50Speaker 1: does seem there should be Yeah, that's get tossed. I know, right, yeah,
- 5:54Speaker 1: but you're on a foam mat. It's still a hard surface.
- 5:58Speaker 1: It's not hot, not really, you know you're getting tossed
- 6:01Speaker 1: down at that could you could? Yeah, concussions I would
- 6:05Speaker 1: think would be more prevalent takedowns. That's always like boom,
- 6:10Speaker 1: you know, his fright says well, I never allowed myself
- 6:12Speaker 1: to get taken um. Then the news this morning, I mean, uh,
- 6:19Speaker 1: Antonio Brown just going nuts on social media and he's
- 6:23Speaker 1: turned against Tom. It looks like I missed this. What
- 6:26Speaker 1: did I? Oh, you missed it? Yeah I was. I'm
- 6:28Speaker 1: writing a story. You watch my story, my stories. Yes,
- 6:34Speaker 1: I'm writing my story. I didn't see the news. No,
- 6:36Speaker 1: I mean start. Yeah. He's come out and revealed texts
- 6:41Speaker 1: that he's had with Bruce Arians in his mind, showing
- 6:45Speaker 1: that he did have an injury and that they knew
- 6:47Speaker 1: about it, but also text with Alex Guerrero about I
- 6:51Speaker 1: paid you one hundred thousand dollars you didn't work on me.
- 6:53Speaker 1: I want my money back, and Alex saying, hey, you know,
- 6:57Speaker 1: I'm happy to you know, you know of you the balance,
- 7:01Speaker 1: tell me where you want the money, you know. I
- 7:02Speaker 1: think it's he said to to Douce. It's it's very
- 7:05Speaker 1: similar to some conversations I have with my son Will
- 7:08Speaker 1: and he thinks that he's throwing things in my face
- 7:11Speaker 1: that proves something on his side when your reality is
- 7:14Speaker 1: the opposite. Right, That's what I think Antonio Brown is doing. Yeah,
- 7:17Speaker 1: you're showing us text with with Arians, where Arians is
- 7:20Speaker 1: basically saying yeah, yeah, no, this is what I know.
- 7:22Speaker 1: I know what you're dealing with. I need you to
- 7:24Speaker 1: come in and talk to me, right, so, because where
- 7:27Speaker 1: all systems go where no one's wrestling, but we need
- 7:29Speaker 1: you to go. You know, if you can go, you
- 7:31Speaker 1: gotta go, right. So, in other words, what he's telling
- 7:34Speaker 1: you is if you couldn't play on Sunday, something changed
- 7:37Speaker 1: between Friday and Sunday. Yeah, that you did not let
- 7:40Speaker 1: the coach know about. Right, That's the same thing he
- 7:42Speaker 1: did here when he left here. He just took a
- 7:44Speaker 1: flamethrower everything and try to make it seem like he's
- 7:47Speaker 1: the It's it's you know, it's a form you know,
- 7:51Speaker 1: not to get all scientific here, but it is a
- 7:53Speaker 1: form of narcissm where you're it's never your fault. It's
- 7:57Speaker 1: never your fault, it's, oh, is somebody else's fault. You
- 8:00Speaker 1: never take accountability for anything. Yeah, and that seems what's
- 8:04Speaker 1: going on here, Not like Alex Guerrero. You know, Okay,
- 8:06Speaker 1: let's say he paid him one hundred thousand dollars. It's
- 8:08Speaker 1: probably for services that to be I'm sure that he
- 8:12Speaker 1: didn't show up or you know, I'm sure that Guerrero
- 8:14Speaker 1: and his team were more than willing to, you know,
- 8:17Speaker 1: give him what he was paying for. Yeah, I had
- 8:19Speaker 1: I had to read that text like three different times because,
- 8:22Speaker 1: as Paul pointed out, I'm like, I don't what are
- 8:24Speaker 1: you trying to say? Like I thought at first, it's like, oh,
- 8:26Speaker 1: this is gonna show Alex Guerrero saying no, like he's
- 8:29Speaker 1: gonna do to Antonio Brown. That's what I thought. They said.
- 8:32Speaker 1: We have some text messages between Alex Grey. It's like
- 8:35Speaker 1: this friendly like hey, hey, hugs. But not only that,
- 8:39Speaker 1: what you're you're an amazing person, right right. That's the
- 8:45Speaker 1: thing that Brady and his people did wrong, is they
- 8:48Speaker 1: enabled this guy. They that's the only thing about this
- 8:52Speaker 1: whole saga that I'm interested in is if any of
- 8:54Speaker 1: this ends up sticking to Brady. Yeah, and do you
- 8:57Speaker 1: think Tom really had any interest in ab other than
- 9:02Speaker 1: this guy's a great football player. He can help me win.
- 9:04Speaker 1: Do you really think he had any like as on
- 9:07Speaker 1: a personal level? Don't? Yeah, I do. I think I
- 9:09Speaker 1: don't think you'll be seeing much more of the relationship
- 9:11Speaker 1: between That may be true, but I do think that
- 9:15Speaker 1: he looked at him and saw a guy that needed help,
- 9:18Speaker 1: needed help, and needed a friend and needed and I
- 9:21Speaker 1: think Brady, I think Brady's a softie that way. Yeah,
- 9:24Speaker 1: you know, I agree, and and and it's a perfect
- 9:27Speaker 1: storm of but if I can get you on track
- 9:29Speaker 1: then and by the way, well yeah, but I know
- 9:31Speaker 1: he's an explosive Like I mean, I'm kind of with
- 9:35Speaker 1: both of you on this because on the one hand,
- 9:38Speaker 1: it clearly he's a great football player and he can
- 9:40Speaker 1: help Tom win. And as we saw his first and
- 9:42Speaker 1: only game here went off caught a touchdown, like clearly
- 9:46Speaker 1: made the offense better. Like if if he were if
- 9:50Speaker 1: he were this nutcase that he is. And and I
- 9:52Speaker 1: say that not to be you know, derogatory, but he's
- 9:56Speaker 1: clearly has he clearly has problems. If he were nikkil
- 10:00Speaker 1: Harry or uh Taylor Price, you know, a receiver who
- 10:05Speaker 1: couldn't help Tom Win, would he still be as invested
- 10:08Speaker 1: in It's a good question. That's where I kind of
- 10:10Speaker 1: lean toward where Paul is saying, like he wanted to
- 10:14Speaker 1: help him because he's a good football player, or did
- 10:16Speaker 1: he want to help him as a person? And oh,
- 10:18Speaker 1: by the way, he's a good football player, you know
- 10:20Speaker 1: what I mean. Yeah, I feel like there's a there's
- 10:22Speaker 1: definitely a I think both are factor. Antonio Brown stunk,
- 10:26Speaker 1: I don't think, but I do think Brady is I
- 10:29Speaker 1: want to save somebody like I think there's something of that.
- 10:31Speaker 1: And I've got this philosophy, I've got this whole TV
- 10:34Speaker 1: twelve thing. I can physically get you on track, like
- 10:36Speaker 1: you know all that. That's different now now I'm with you.
- 10:41Speaker 1: And it doesn't do him any good to get nikkil
- 10:43Speaker 1: Harry on the program. But if if Antonio Brown, one
- 10:46Speaker 1: of the greatest wide receivers who's ever played gets on this,
- 10:50Speaker 1: gets on the program, that's another check mark in my
- 10:53Speaker 1: favorite right, which I think was some of the stuff
- 10:54Speaker 1: they were talking about today with that, you know, him
- 10:56Speaker 1: wanting the money back, and that's I think with reading
- 10:59Speaker 1: between the lines say it all. They wanted to get
- 11:01Speaker 1: him involved in it, but Alex seemed finding me in
- 11:04Speaker 1: the text vessage in like one hundred thousand dollars. That's
- 11:07Speaker 1: a lot of money. Yeah, so that's more than just
- 11:09Speaker 1: like he's getting treated. Oh yeah, No, it sounds me
- 11:12Speaker 1: like I don't know, but it sounds like to me
- 11:14Speaker 1: like depends you're a definition of treating. We're gonna, we're
- 11:16Speaker 1: gonna this is a whole lifestyle plan that I have
- 11:19Speaker 1: for the next year, and we're gonna do all this
- 11:22Speaker 1: stuff for you. Pay in advance please, yeah, you know, retainer.
- 11:26Speaker 1: And I think they were going to have him be
- 11:28Speaker 1: part of the program with you know, another high profile guy.
- 11:33Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, And that to me is the only like
- 11:36Speaker 1: I said, that's the only part of this that that
- 11:38Speaker 1: I'm interested in is if this ends up connecting to Brady.
- 11:42Speaker 1: This guy is a loose cannon obviously. Yeah. But one
- 11:44Speaker 1: of the things he had on his social media today
- 11:46Speaker 1: was his actual bank account, checking his check account, his
- 11:50Speaker 1: router like I mean the routing rounding, yes, yea, the
- 11:54Speaker 1: routing number, bank account right, you heard that, right, I'm
- 11:57Speaker 1: not making like ten minutes. Yeah right, yeah right. So
- 12:03Speaker 1: this guy clearly, when he is spurned and backed into
- 12:07Speaker 1: a corner, this is Howard he responds. Everything becomes public.
- 12:10Speaker 1: Ye yeah. I wonder what he may make public between
- 12:16Speaker 1: himself and Tom Brady or himself and Alice Guerrero, that
- 12:20Speaker 1: that Tom's not gonna want to have public, right, that's
- 12:22Speaker 1: to me the only part of this that's that's that's
- 12:25Speaker 1: an interest. When I first saw it, I thought maybe
- 12:26Speaker 1: it'll be connected to the vax card thing, like when
- 12:29Speaker 1: it was like oh all Guerrero like that was that
- 12:31Speaker 1: would be a perfect extam, that would be a perfect example.
- 12:33Speaker 1: And you say, you know, you know, will this stuff
- 12:37Speaker 1: stick to Brady? I think it will if this starts
- 12:40Speaker 1: to become a distraction for the team, if he starts
- 12:42Speaker 1: outing other guys, you're not vaccinated. You're not vaccinated, I
- 12:45Speaker 1: know that, or you did this and you did that,
- 12:48Speaker 1: and starts, you know, tattletaling on teammates indoor coaches. That
- 12:53Speaker 1: then that's gonna come back to Brady you brought into
- 12:56Speaker 1: But I think even like that. Okay, so Brady made
- 12:58Speaker 1: a mistake. He brought a guy into their house who
- 13:00Speaker 1: ended up hurting them. Okay, so that that's bad, But
- 13:03Speaker 1: I'm talking about stuff like Mike is talking about. No,
- 13:06Speaker 1: Tom has a fake vaccine card. He's the one who
- 13:08Speaker 1: originated the whole thing. Yeah, he organized the whole thing,
- 13:11Speaker 1: you know, something like that. Yeah, or you know Tom
- 13:15Speaker 1: knows it's all a scam and he's just built in
- 13:17Speaker 1: the public. Like that's the kind of stuff that can
- 13:20Speaker 1: be really damaging. I don't think that Brown will do that,
- 13:23Speaker 1: but you can't put anything past that. But I don't
- 13:24Speaker 1: put anything past well, I don't think Brady's gonna play
- 13:27Speaker 1: you know what I mean. I don't think he's gonna
- 13:29Speaker 1: go at him. I also don't think Brady's a dumb guy, right,
- 13:34Speaker 1: and and I'm pretty sure that he was probably judicious
- 13:37Speaker 1: with the things that he actually told Antonio Brown. Yeah. Yeah,
- 13:40Speaker 1: but he's living at his house for a while, and
- 13:43Speaker 1: this is a guy you would put it in but
- 13:45Speaker 1: in around it's just you know, and the other part
- 13:47Speaker 1: of that is who knows. Like we've talked about this
- 13:50Speaker 1: at length for what years now, five ten years. I
- 13:54Speaker 1: kind of big Brady believes it all. Like, I don't
- 13:56Speaker 1: really think that he's selling a potion. Oh no, I
- 13:59Speaker 1: think I think, you know, Brady actually believes it. So
- 14:02Speaker 1: I'm not really sure that he can get caught in
- 14:04Speaker 1: a web of lies. Yeah, yeah, it's at And when
- 14:09Speaker 1: I say when I say like that, I don't think
- 14:11Speaker 1: that Brady cares about Like I'm not trying to make
- 14:14Speaker 1: it out to be that Brady doesn't care about people.
- 14:17Speaker 1: I just don't think that really that's any of his
- 14:19Speaker 1: motivation was to fix somebody. I just had this vision
- 14:22Speaker 1: of Brady and you know, the old Wild West, pulling
- 14:25Speaker 1: around that cart with the el the magic TV, twelve
- 14:28Speaker 1: elexers and area, this is gonna cure all your eels.
- 14:32Speaker 1: Town have some water and people are like this, this
- 14:35Speaker 1: is just water, and then it's just like hitting the
- 14:37Speaker 1: rains like yeah, magic underwear. Oh my god. So that's
- 14:45Speaker 1: that's going around today. Stefan Gilmore placed on the COVID
- 14:48Speaker 1: nineteen list too. A little little bit of news there. Okay,
- 14:51Speaker 1: all right, so it's official now, Chefter saying the brad
- 14:53Speaker 1: Buccaneers officially releasing Antonio Brown today to today June. So
- 14:58Speaker 1: they must talk to the lawyers. Yeah, that to me
- 15:01Speaker 1: was it was completely protecting the team oh yeah. I mean,
- 15:04Speaker 1: I know everybody was like, oh, is Arrian's gonna go
- 15:06Speaker 1: back on his word again? No, they were waiting for
- 15:09Speaker 1: their teams to be crossed and their eyes to be done.
- 15:11Speaker 1: Even Brady said, unfortunately, he's talk going to be with
- 15:14Speaker 1: us anymore. Right, I can't even do anything now. I sorry. Yeah.
- 15:20Speaker 1: So the question is does it affect the team? And
- 15:23Speaker 1: I don't know, does Antonio Patriots? But seriously, does he
- 15:28Speaker 1: get another job? Does he get another job next year?
- 15:31Speaker 1: A business is booming, I'll be back next year, Like
- 15:33Speaker 1: does another team? I would say no, but you can't
- 15:35Speaker 1: rule it out. You can't. You can't rule it out,
- 15:38Speaker 1: you know, I just can't imagine would you at this
- 15:40Speaker 1: point another team saying that's a good business investment for us? Yeah? No, no,
- 15:46Speaker 1: But could I see a team like but who like
- 15:48Speaker 1: we have the culture that can keep you know, not
- 15:51Speaker 1: even I mean, just a team that's like I need.
- 15:54Speaker 1: He says that, mocking like the Patriots haven't done this
- 15:56Speaker 1: like ten times already once with this particular God yeah,
- 16:01Speaker 1: and they got rid of them. No, but I'm saying,
- 16:03Speaker 1: you're making fun of teams for thinking like that. But
- 16:06Speaker 1: that's what that's what why these guys get chances because
- 16:09Speaker 1: teams think that they there. They can as upset it
- 16:12Speaker 1: in a kind of a mocking tone, like these teams
- 16:15Speaker 1: are foolishly doing this. We're one of the teams that
- 16:17Speaker 1: does it whatever. I do it a lot, whatever, if
- 16:20Speaker 1: I was, if I was Jacksonville, why not every what
- 16:24Speaker 1: else you got to lose? I mean, it's already a
- 16:26Speaker 1: train wrecord. That's the last team that should be doing whatever.
- 16:31Speaker 1: It's tough location too, I mean Jacksonville, the Jets, Chicago
- 16:36Speaker 1: the last. Like you have young, young, impressionable quarterbacks. You
- 16:40Speaker 1: haven't established your culture yet, right, you know, speaking justin
- 16:43Speaker 1: fields also on the reserve COVID nineteen that's going to
- 16:46Speaker 1: affect my pick later on fields picks, I mean both,
- 16:50Speaker 1: Uh Mayfield's not quarterbacking, but neither is uh Burrow. So yeah,
- 16:55Speaker 1: and I was, Spath would say Burrows Burrows. I was
- 17:00Speaker 1: gonna dive in a little bit on Cincinnati. Just figured
- 17:02Speaker 1: that'd be since we know Buffalo and uh yeah, I
- 17:05Speaker 1: mean I was. They got a lot more kind of
- 17:07Speaker 1: COVID issues at least at this moment than Cleveland. Does.
- 17:09Speaker 1: It seems like Cleveland, I don't know, who's gonna play.
- 17:11Speaker 1: But just as far as the COVID stuff goes, it
- 17:13Speaker 1: seems like the Bengals are dealing a little more of it,
- 17:15Speaker 1: and it also seems like they're more inclined to sit guys.
- 17:17Speaker 1: So yeah, playing with the with the the you know,
- 17:20Speaker 1: the the whole playoff picture and all that stuff. I mean,
- 17:23Speaker 1: I think that's a real significant game. If if the
- 17:25Speaker 1: Browns were to beat the Bengals, it could send the
- 17:28Speaker 1: Patriots to the Bengals. Yeah, you know certain is that
- 17:31Speaker 1: what the Bengals want? I don't know, conspiracy, but they're
- 17:35Speaker 1: not gonna have a choice. They didn't give Joe Mix
- 17:38Speaker 1: COVID so they could play the Patriots. But I'm not
- 17:41Speaker 1: making fun of you, Fred, because that was the thing
- 17:43Speaker 1: last night on on the whatever the show is that
- 17:46Speaker 1: Boston tend out the LA Sports tonight. Yeah, there you go.
- 17:50Speaker 1: You think I would know that BT Yeah, Um, they
- 17:54Speaker 1: had that up there as one of the topics. Do
- 17:56Speaker 1: you think you know any of this is because Cincinnati
- 17:59Speaker 1: is trying to dictate their matchup and I don't think
- 18:01Speaker 1: it has like literally like zero percent, yeah, zero percent.
- 18:05Speaker 1: Like I think if Joe Burrow was one hundred percent healthy,
- 18:07Speaker 1: he probably would be playing. He came out of the
- 18:09Speaker 1: last game. I know, ye, well he's hurt, right, But
- 18:12Speaker 1: I'm get COVID. Talk about the COVID people like, if
- 18:15Speaker 1: you don't say you have a symptom, they're not going
- 18:18Speaker 1: to test you. No one knows. So they're saying, I
- 18:21Speaker 1: don't feel good getting tested. Sure enough, you got COVID,
- 18:25Speaker 1: you know. Yeah, that's not a smart way to go
- 18:26Speaker 1: about it. When you're going to the playoffs. If you
- 18:28Speaker 1: want to just end the regular season, that's different. Now
- 18:30Speaker 1: what happens if you can't get off the COVID list. Oh,
- 18:34Speaker 1: I mean, I guess you just assume you will be
- 18:37Speaker 1: able to know. I know that's a dumb assumption, don't
- 18:39Speaker 1: you think, Well, I yeah, I don't know. I mean,
- 18:42Speaker 1: it just seems like, like we said the other day,
- 18:44Speaker 1: if we all got tested today, probably one of us
- 18:47Speaker 1: would have it. It's everywhere. No, I know that we
- 18:51Speaker 1: would have it, but not all of us would be.
- 18:53Speaker 1: If you don't have cleared to come back at the
- 18:55Speaker 1: same don't have to test out anymore, Paul. But if
- 18:58Speaker 1: you're exhibiting any symptoms, they're not going to let you back.
- 19:00Speaker 1: I'm just saying. That's what I'm saying. It's a dangerous game.
- 19:03Speaker 1: It is a game. But if you have it, you
- 19:05Speaker 1: have it. If you're not showing symptoms, you're not showing
- 19:07Speaker 1: symptoms today, you probably won't five days from it. I
- 19:09Speaker 1: don't think Joe Mixon voluntarily went in and said I
- 19:13Speaker 1: don't want to play in this game. I don't anything.
- 19:16Speaker 1: But why would you? Why would you want to do that?
- 19:19Speaker 1: The team encourages it. But again, why because they want
- 19:23Speaker 1: to play the Patriots, then don't play Joe Mixon? Why
- 19:26Speaker 1: does he have to go on COVID to not play?
- 19:28Speaker 1: Because they don't like COVID, They don't want it. Obvious
- 19:31Speaker 1: it's a cover up, Paul, They don't. They can't just Hey,
- 19:35Speaker 1: now that I understand where it's coming from, now I
- 19:37Speaker 1: get it's the cover I can let it go. Now
- 19:40Speaker 1: it's a cover up. Those Bengals it again when they
- 19:44Speaker 1: weren't smart enough. They took the most important guy and said,
- 19:47Speaker 1: we don't care if you think it's a cover up,
- 19:51Speaker 1: you go on COVID because you can document his injury.
- 19:54Speaker 1: But these other guys they needed to cover up. So
- 19:57Speaker 1: you know this is what it's all about. Same all right,
- 19:59Speaker 1: I'm gonna to practice. Why we hate the Bengals, that's
- 20:02Speaker 1: not why we hate them, well more. Another reason why
- 20:05Speaker 1: we hate the Bengals because they did something very mean
- 20:07Speaker 1: to us. Yes, we're very, very hurt. All right, Bruce
- 20:10Speaker 1: is off to practice. He's got his winter coat on today. Yeah,
- 20:14Speaker 1: outside today, Really, they're back outside outside today. It's weird,
- 20:18Speaker 1: you know, when one day it's definitely gonna be inside.
- 20:21Speaker 1: Had as much to do with any everything yesterday. What's that?
- 20:24Speaker 1: I think the rain had as much to do with
- 20:26Speaker 1: being inside as anything yesterday. All right, all right, well
- 20:32Speaker 1: Eric has that he thinks this makes him look better. Eric.
- 20:38Speaker 1: Eric has his brown slash olive cable knit crew next
- 20:42Speaker 1: sweater all brown. Nothing all of about it, my friend,
- 20:46Speaker 1: there is all. There is a little bit on this one.
- 20:48Speaker 1: Usually wait a minute, we've had this discussion. There's a tinge.
- 20:51Speaker 1: There's a tinge to that. You get your eyes check now,
- 20:54Speaker 1: well I do. I have terrible eyesight, But I agree
- 20:56Speaker 1: with Fred. I think it's more than just for blue
- 20:58Speaker 1: lighting above me. That's got to be it maybe might
- 21:00Speaker 1: be it might be could be the lighting. You're right,
- 21:03Speaker 1: but you know, all right? Eight five five, pass five
- 21:06Speaker 1: hundred is the a sticket houtline web radio at Patriots
- 21:09Speaker 1: dot com is the email address. Um, let's let's go
- 21:13Speaker 1: right to it, because you know we've got picks later.
- 21:16Speaker 1: I think we're gonna have to spend a little extra
- 21:18Speaker 1: time on picks today because they're tough. Yeah, they're all
- 21:20Speaker 1: gonna be tough. Yeah. You know, we're gonna need to
- 21:24Speaker 1: know who's not playing, who is playing? We might not know. Yeah,
- 21:28Speaker 1: uh so let's jumping. Yeah, let's start with Bobby in Pennsylvania.
- 21:32Speaker 1: What's up, Bobby? Bobby? What is Bob Hardy? Wow? I'll
- 21:39Speaker 1: give him two We just put him on hold and
- 21:42Speaker 1: take somebody out. I call back Johnson, nata K John. Hey,
- 21:48Speaker 1: how are you guys doing? Great? Great TV? All right? Um,
- 21:52Speaker 1: I don't know. Remember me, I'm the guy picked up
- 21:54Speaker 1: the RB and went down to Florida. Okay, thank your
- 21:57Speaker 1: word for it? Yeah, yeah, great us a long time,
- 22:02Speaker 1: but I've been a Patients fan even longer. Me and
- 22:04Speaker 1: my father used to go to the games. I had
- 22:06Speaker 1: a bunch of brothers and sisters, but would go to
- 22:08Speaker 1: the games just the two of us. Would have a
- 22:10Speaker 1: little cook out across the street at the Ford Place,
- 22:12Speaker 1: because he worked for Ford that would go to the game.
- 22:15Speaker 1: So nothing bad, but my father just passed away. Oh
- 22:19Speaker 1: sorry to hear that. Yeah, um me. Actually though, we
- 22:24Speaker 1: didn't used to talk that much, but when I started
- 22:26Speaker 1: building the RB, he loved arts and like he loves
- 22:29Speaker 1: crafts and building stuff. So we ended up talking like
- 22:32Speaker 1: twice a day the last year. So even though it's
- 22:35Speaker 1: horribly died, we actually spent one of the best years
- 22:38Speaker 1: we've ever spent the last year, so I'm kind of
- 22:40Speaker 1: happy that that happened at least, you know. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 22:45Speaker 1: really nice. Yeah. Now here's my crazy question. My stepsis
- 22:50Speaker 1: to calls me up and she tells me, hey, we're
- 22:52Speaker 1: getting his asses and do you want some, which I
- 22:57Speaker 1: couldn't even think, like, no one near me has ever
- 22:59Speaker 1: died like this, have been cremated. I was like, sure,
- 23:02Speaker 1: you know, and then I was like, what am I
- 23:03Speaker 1: gonna do with the ashes? So I fig gotta keep
- 23:06Speaker 1: a little bit. But then I was thinking, our favorite
- 23:10Speaker 1: stuff to do together was at the stadium. Yeah, I know,
- 23:14Speaker 1: this is crazy. No, no, no, I listen, I know
- 23:16Speaker 1: where you're going. You're hoping to spread your ashes at youillette, right, yeah, okay,
- 23:22Speaker 1: so um, send an email a web radio at patriots
- 23:25Speaker 1: dot com with your name and how to get in
- 23:28Speaker 1: touch with you, and I'll see, I'll send it to
- 23:30Speaker 1: the right people and we'll see if we can arrange
- 23:32Speaker 1: a time where you can do that. Oh god, that
- 23:37Speaker 1: would be amazing. Yeah, no promises, but you know, I'll
- 23:41Speaker 1: you know, we'll see what we can do. No, that's perfect.
- 23:44Speaker 1: I mean I've been there on days when the parking
- 23:46Speaker 1: lot's empty. Here forcecomes to words. Yeah, but you want
- 23:48Speaker 1: to go in the field, right, You don't want to
- 23:50Speaker 1: you don't want to just put it in the parking lot, right,
- 23:53Speaker 1: you want to go Yeah? Yeah, yeah, no, So well, well,
- 23:57Speaker 1: you know, just send an uh, send an email dame
- 24:00Speaker 1: in contact uh to web radio at patriots dot com
- 24:03Speaker 1: and we'll see what we can do. Thank you very much.
- 24:07Speaker 1: That's very special, no problem, and you know, sorry for
- 24:11Speaker 1: your loss, but absolutely yeah, John, thanks John Man. I'm
- 24:14Speaker 1: glad I called that gag. No. I mean, listen, it
- 24:17Speaker 1: wouldn't be the first time other people have done that.
- 24:19Speaker 1: There you have, We've had weddings, well, wedding stands. I
- 24:22Speaker 1: can see the weddings, but the people have spread ashes
- 24:25Speaker 1: out here. Oh I didn't know that. Yep, do you
- 24:27Speaker 1: know that, Paul. No, that's why you should never walk
- 24:29Speaker 1: around and bare feet on that field stuff. That's why.
- 24:32Speaker 1: That's why. Yeah, there's a lot of stuff out there, right,
- 24:35Speaker 1: but yeah, it's it's not unheard of everything. I didn't
- 24:38Speaker 1: know that. I didn't know we did that. Yeah, Um,
- 24:41Speaker 1: especially with it not being grass anymore. I didn't think
- 24:44Speaker 1: that that was something people would. I know. That's the thing.
- 24:46Speaker 1: How long is it gonna stay there? You know? Does
- 24:48Speaker 1: it really mix in with the earth, you know about
- 24:52Speaker 1: the practice fields? Maybe maybe yeah, earth the earth, the
- 24:56Speaker 1: shoulders put the earth on it. People spread you know,
- 24:59Speaker 1: they put the rashes out of sea if they, Oh yeah,
- 25:02Speaker 1: I know that it'll do a lot of things. Yeah,
- 25:05Speaker 1: you know, in memory of their love. Sure don't. I
- 25:08Speaker 1: don't cast its versions on it. Now, let's go to
- 25:11Speaker 1: Patty and Agawan. Patty, what's up? What's up? Gentlemen? Hey? Um, So,
- 25:18Speaker 1: I apologize if you guys have talked about this um yesterday,
- 25:23Speaker 1: but I know, going into week one, UM, one of
- 25:27Speaker 1: these I know one of the strategies discussed offensively against
- 25:31Speaker 1: the Dolphins in their blitz packaging was possibly sending um
- 25:37Speaker 1: sending some guys out deep with Nelson agil Or coming
- 25:40Speaker 1: back this week. Do you and Mac Jones, having almost
- 25:43Speaker 1: a full season of experience, do you think if they
- 25:46Speaker 1: do try to like blit them an outrageous number of times,
- 25:49Speaker 1: that they do take those shots and try and sort
- 25:52Speaker 1: of keep those guys honest or do you think they
- 25:55Speaker 1: just they're they're just going to go with whatever game
- 25:57Speaker 1: plan they have and stick to that. I wouldn't be
- 26:00Speaker 1: surprised that they took more shots this week than normal
- 26:02Speaker 1: to put it out there, you know, yeaing into the playoffs. Yeah,
- 26:06Speaker 1: that'd be more than just than why yeah, exactly. Yeah, listen,
- 26:11Speaker 1: if you if you think they should go, you should
- 26:13Speaker 1: take it. Yeah, announced twenty one Patriots went on on Sunday?
- 26:20Speaker 1: Would you say? Twenty one twenty one Patriots? All right?
- 26:25Speaker 1: All right, good, all right, thanks thanks Patty. Um, Bobby's back.
- 26:29Speaker 1: He forgot to unmute his phone, that's why. What's what's up? Bobby? Hey?
- 26:33Speaker 1: Guys too too. Hey, I just got two quick ones
- 26:37Speaker 1: for Paul real quick. Um. Okay, well, hang, I want
- 26:39Speaker 1: to see what your opinion is and I'll take him
- 26:41Speaker 1: up there. What do you think of Mac's biggest improvements
- 26:43Speaker 1: since week one with everything you've watched, Like what, what,
- 26:45Speaker 1: in your opinion do you think is his biggest improvement
- 26:48Speaker 1: that you've seen, like reading coverages, et cetera. And the
- 26:51Speaker 1: other thing is about an hour ago I read on
- 26:53Speaker 1: Twitter that the Coyle was sorry the Falcons are looking
- 26:56Speaker 1: the U far Aways with Calvin really surprisingly. Now you
- 27:00Speaker 1: guys think that should be in a market for that
- 27:02Speaker 1: this off season or how do you think? I'm sure, absolutely, yeah,
- 27:06Speaker 1: I think it's real. He was a kid. Yeah, he's
- 27:10Speaker 1: just gonna hang right up, you know what. Maybe he
- 27:13Speaker 1: is working. I mean, that's why he had the phone
- 27:15Speaker 1: on mute and that's why he was so I understand that.
- 27:18Speaker 1: Um I got to ask the same question yesterday with
- 27:21Speaker 1: the Fello growing the mass. Yeah. About mac Jones, I
- 27:24Speaker 1: don't really I didn't really have a great answer, but
- 27:26Speaker 1: I would say that I feel like, in general from
- 27:28Speaker 1: watching him, I think his pocket presence has improved as
- 27:32Speaker 1: the season. I agree, And I started off by saying,
- 27:34Speaker 1: if you remember, way back in the very first game,
- 27:36Speaker 1: the very first past he attempted as a pro, he
- 27:39Speaker 1: got blitzed, turned around and threw the ball backward right
- 27:43Speaker 1: kind of kind of like freaking out. And I'm not
- 27:45Speaker 1: saying he's been great in that regard, but I think
- 27:47Speaker 1: he's been done a little bit better job of moving around,
- 27:50Speaker 1: buying some time and even taking off and running a
- 27:53Speaker 1: little bit, which he did a little bit on the
- 27:55Speaker 1: Buffalo game. He had a couple of scrambles in that game.
- 27:57Speaker 1: He had like thirty thirty thirty three yards drushing or
- 28:00Speaker 1: something against Buffalo. So I would say overall, his presence
- 28:04Speaker 1: in the pocket I proved. I thought there was a
- 28:06Speaker 1: good example of that in the most recent game where
- 28:09Speaker 1: I think it was the first drive. There was a
- 28:11Speaker 1: third and I don't know, five six something to eight maybe,
- 28:15Speaker 1: and it was on the Jaguar side of the field,
- 28:19Speaker 1: and they brought some pressure on him. He kind of
- 28:21Speaker 1: stepped up in the pocket, kept his eyes down field
- 28:24Speaker 1: and found I think it was Myers for like a
- 28:27Speaker 1: big pickup and they got the first down. And that
- 28:30Speaker 1: to me was an impressive play because of the growth
- 28:33Speaker 1: from that, you know, earlier in the season where like
- 28:35Speaker 1: he didn't look like he had a happy feet, he
- 28:37Speaker 1: just kind of calmly stepped up, you know, didn't you know,
- 28:42Speaker 1: go crazy looking all around the place, and he just
- 28:44Speaker 1: found his receiver and he hit him. I thought that
- 28:46Speaker 1: was you know, it was a simple pass, but it was.
- 28:48Speaker 1: There was more two with him, even the past later
- 28:50Speaker 1: in the game, the long past to Wilkeson that Wilkeson
- 28:54Speaker 1: couldn't take it in the end zone. He the pocket
- 28:57Speaker 1: was closing in. He actually stepped up in front of
- 28:59Speaker 1: the pocket, kept like you said, kept his eyes downfield
- 29:02Speaker 1: and made that past. So I agree with Paul. I
- 29:07Speaker 1: think that's the one thing we can see that he improved. Now.
- 29:11Speaker 1: He probably has improved obviously in his knowledge of the game.
- 29:15Speaker 1: That stuff that I'm not qualified to talk about, reading
- 29:17Speaker 1: coverages and whatnot. We don't know stuff that we can see.
- 29:21Speaker 1: I would, I would. I would point at that as well,
- 29:24Speaker 1: you know, like his accuracy was always good, you know.
- 29:27Speaker 1: So I don't think that's improved. I think it was
- 29:29Speaker 1: good to begin with. And ask M Calvin Ridley, I mean,
- 29:31Speaker 1: he's gonna have to deal with the things that he's
- 29:34Speaker 1: dealing with. H He's gonna play football again. Yeah, I don't,
- 29:38Speaker 1: and I don't. I don't really know they As far
- 29:40Speaker 1: as I know that it's never gone more than personal issues. Yeah, Um,
- 29:44Speaker 1: but I mean there's it prevented him from playing football
- 29:48Speaker 1: this year. He wasn't mad at the Falcons as far
- 29:50Speaker 1: as I know. It didn't sound like it sound like
- 29:52Speaker 1: he had some things going on. Yeah, I mean, I
- 29:54Speaker 1: think he's got some some mental health issues that he's
- 29:57Speaker 1: probably dealing with, and um he he's going to have
- 30:00Speaker 1: to get that straightened out before he is a candidate
- 30:03Speaker 1: to play for the Falcons or anybody else. Tony says
- 30:06Speaker 1: other teams have in fact rejected request to spread ashes
- 30:09Speaker 1: because of health reasons. Well, we'll see, I mean, can't hurt. Like,
- 30:16Speaker 1: are you trying to tell me that the ashes of
- 30:18Speaker 1: a person are more unhealthy than the stuff that comes
- 30:23Speaker 1: out of people's mouths? Gap, I mean really yeah, you know,
- 30:30Speaker 1: like just just the bodily fluids that come out of
- 30:33Speaker 1: sixty five thousand people on games and listen, I get
- 30:36Speaker 1: why teams like you don't want to have that be
- 30:40Speaker 1: made known. Yeah, because you'll have a line of people
- 30:43Speaker 1: you don't want to be making a habit of, you know,
- 30:45Speaker 1: having thousands of people every every year lining up to
- 30:50Speaker 1: do that. But I can't imagine that's really a health risk.
- 30:53Speaker 1: Ye can't, just can't really, that's probably just an excuse, yeah,
- 30:57Speaker 1: not to do it. Yeah, but we'll see. Like I said, don't,
- 31:00Speaker 1: I'll make the effort. And you know, like you also said,
- 31:03Speaker 1: there's other you know, you could do it in the
- 31:04Speaker 1: parking lot or something like it's here. The symbolic nature
- 31:09Speaker 1: of the gesture, I think is valid. Um Bert writes
- 31:12Speaker 1: in says he was listening to Pablo on the Felger
- 31:16Speaker 1: and Mash Show yesterday and have a couple of questions
- 31:18Speaker 1: for Paul. One, do you have it in your contract
- 31:21Speaker 1: that you don't have to participate in the singing of
- 31:24Speaker 1: your theme song? If so, nice work by your agent.
- 31:27Speaker 1: I do not. There are times that I do participate,
- 31:30Speaker 1: but I haven't really this year. And is it just me?
- 31:32Speaker 1: Or when mass is speaking, does he neglect to inhale
- 31:34Speaker 1: properly as compared to the average human? He definitely runs
- 31:38Speaker 1: runs out of gas a lot. That's a funny observation.
- 31:43Speaker 1: It's funny and true. Let's get back to the ACE
- 31:47Speaker 1: ticket outline. Braylon's in Texas. What's up, Raylan? Good afternoon? Good?
- 31:54Speaker 1: All right? Hey, So I know I'll talked about the
- 31:56Speaker 1: whole Adrian phillis to deal and I just want to
- 32:00Speaker 1: ask a quick question. Do y'all think it aggravated you know,
- 32:02Speaker 1: Jacon not getting the deal. He's like maybe thinking, you know,
- 32:06Speaker 1: this guy is good, but he's not as good as me.
- 32:08Speaker 1: And he's still, you know, got some money. I mean,
- 32:12Speaker 1: we can't for sure what's in his head. But my
- 32:15Speaker 1: my thinking is just on the little we know about
- 32:18Speaker 1: jac Jackson, I would assume he wants to get paid. Well,
- 32:22Speaker 1: that's the thing he can look at Philipps. That's good
- 32:24Speaker 1: for him. It's taking that money exactly. You know. Yeah,
- 32:29Speaker 1: he's looking for a Yeah, they can, they can sign
- 32:33Speaker 1: some extensions. That are you know, that's not really in
- 32:36Speaker 1: the ballpark of what jac Jackson's going to be looking for. Okay, Yeah,
- 32:41Speaker 1: and I got a kind of a prediction for the game.
- 32:43Speaker 1: I'm gonna say twenty eight to ten Patriots. Okay, twenty
- 32:48Speaker 1: eight ten sounds good. Already a couple of twenty eight.
- 32:51Speaker 1: Thanks for the call, Jeffson Texas. Hey, Jeff, Yeah, Hey guys,
- 32:56Speaker 1: thanks for taking my call. Enjoy the show. Thank you.
- 33:00Speaker 1: Just two questions. Um, The first question is um going
- 33:04Speaker 1: forward Wilkerson instead of Harry. Okay, okay, would you play?
- 33:11Speaker 1: I'm asking would you play with you know, should they
- 33:13Speaker 1: play Wilkerson and keep Harry out? Well, hopefully neither one
- 33:16Speaker 1: of them will play. Hopefully Algol will be back this week. Yeah,
- 33:19Speaker 1: they can both, they can both be out. But I
- 33:22Speaker 1: would play Wilkerson over Harry, Yes, I would, yes, thanks,
- 33:25Speaker 1: thank you, thank And then my second question is now
- 33:28Speaker 1: if we if we have to play the Bills, right, um,
- 33:33Speaker 1: what did the Falcons do to the Bills when they
- 33:35Speaker 1: played them? What did the defense do you know to
- 33:39Speaker 1: upset Josh Allen like that? What can we you know,
- 33:43Speaker 1: can we learn anything from that? I don't know. They
- 33:45Speaker 1: put thirty on the board, turn the ball over four times,
- 33:47Speaker 1: so yeah, not much. Yeah, I was just I don't
- 33:51Speaker 1: know if it was just uh, I don't think there
- 33:53Speaker 1: was anything that Falcons did more than it was. I
- 33:55Speaker 1: think Josh Josh Allen had a bad day. I think
- 33:57Speaker 1: Josh Allen made some bad throws. Yeah, okay, I mean
- 34:01Speaker 1: that's and that's something that you said too, you know
- 34:03Speaker 1: going forward that you know, anybody can you know, as
- 34:07Speaker 1: far as the playoffs, anybody can have Yeah, you have
- 34:09Speaker 1: a bad day on the wrong day and you can
- 34:11Speaker 1: lose absolutely, And I think that the Buffalo would be
- 34:14Speaker 1: hard pressed to be minus four in the turnover ratio
- 34:17Speaker 1: and win a game by two touchdowns in the playoffs.
- 34:20Speaker 1: That's what they did to Atlanta. Yep, okay, all right,
- 34:24Speaker 1: well thanks guys, Okay, Jeff, thanks for Colin. Appreciate it. Yeah.
- 34:28Speaker 1: I mean there were three picks by Josh Allen and
- 34:30Speaker 1: they all happened in rapid success. I think it was
- 34:32Speaker 1: three and four plays or something like that. And you know,
- 34:35Speaker 1: I saw one of them. It was a typical Allen
- 34:38Speaker 1: trying to extend to play too much and forced one
- 34:40Speaker 1: in the end zone that got picked off. I did
- 34:43Speaker 1: not see the other two. But my guess is that's
- 34:46Speaker 1: more about Josh Allen than it was about the Falcons.
- 34:50Speaker 1: Gene writes in I completely agree with Fred and Deuce
- 34:54Speaker 1: Brady likes helping slash saving people to that end, Can
- 34:57Speaker 1: you reach out to Tom on my behalf and send
- 34:59Speaker 1: him my email to facilitate an email transfer of funds
- 35:02Speaker 1: my way? Yeah, okay, just all right, what's your forty time? Yeah? Yeah,
- 35:10Speaker 1: Dan and Virginia and Michigan. If you're looking for today's
- 35:12Speaker 1: Shenanigans to reveal some kind of split between Brown and
- 35:15Speaker 1: Brady or other incriminating info, I think you're going to
- 35:18Speaker 1: be disappointed. This was another of Abe's tweets at nine
- 35:22Speaker 1: forty six in the morning. Don't get it twisted. My
- 35:25Speaker 1: brothers have been good to me. From tom to practice
- 35:27Speaker 1: squad we were a top level unit. They have been
- 35:30Speaker 1: good to me. And I knew nothing about my talks
- 35:32Speaker 1: with coach and and knew nothing about my talks with
- 35:36Speaker 1: coach last week. The team mishandled the situation. They let
- 35:39Speaker 1: me down and more importantly, my teammates. It's just it's tiresome.
- 35:45Speaker 1: I don't know that. Yeah, but I just think the
- 35:48Speaker 1: guys are loose. Cannon and I think that there's nothing
- 35:51Speaker 1: off the table with him, And I gotta say, I
- 35:54Speaker 1: think the good will times lasted a lot longer with
- 35:57Speaker 1: Tampa Bay than I expected them too. I was I
- 36:00Speaker 1: thought I was really surprised they resigned him. To be
- 36:04Speaker 1: honest with you, I would have thought they would have said,
- 36:07Speaker 1: we got lucky through we won a super Bowl unless you,
- 36:12Speaker 1: like you said, maybe he had information. And he's like,
- 36:15Speaker 1: if you don't resign me, I'm you know, well then
- 36:18Speaker 1: I'm not the only one then that's coming out. Yeah,
- 36:22Speaker 1: And I don't think that will happen because I don't
- 36:23Speaker 1: think he has information. If he has information, it's coming out. Yeah,
- 36:27Speaker 1: tell you that because the guy can't help him. So nope,
- 36:30Speaker 1: Mark and Chedd are following on your discussion about Dan
- 36:33Speaker 1: Reeves made me think of Jim Kelly. Four super Bowl
- 36:36Speaker 1: appearances and no title. Is that a good comparison in
- 36:40Speaker 1: my view? If Jim Kelly is a Hall of Famer,
- 36:42Speaker 1: then so is Dan Reeves. Hopefully this is better than
- 36:47Speaker 1: my last email and take that. Fred chastised. Wow, you
- 36:51Speaker 1: chastised the email. That's usually my job. Yeah. I think
- 36:54Speaker 1: that Jim Kelly's a Hall of Famer and I think
- 36:56Speaker 1: Dan Reeves is too. Um. I I would say it's
- 37:00Speaker 1: harder to do what Jim Kelly did that a coach,
- 37:02Speaker 1: but I would. I would say that they both belong in.
- 37:07Speaker 1: I mean, Jim Kelly was a great quarterback for a
- 37:09Speaker 1: lot of years. Yeah, he went to four Super Bowls
- 37:11Speaker 1: and didn't win him but he was a great quarterback. Yeah,
- 37:14Speaker 1: hall of Fame worthy quarterback, I would say. So. Yeah. Uh,
- 37:19Speaker 1: let's see, Johnny is from Wisconsin. What's up Johnny? Hey,
- 37:24Speaker 1: how's it going guys? Hey? I just wanted to call
- 37:28Speaker 1: him today. To say thank you for a year of coverage.
- 37:30Speaker 1: Last year. It was I'm sure kind of a difficult
- 37:32Speaker 1: year for a lot of people, myself included, and I
- 37:35Speaker 1: just wanted to say thank you for making it a
- 37:37Speaker 1: little bit easier looking forward to you guys, you know,
- 37:39Speaker 1: every week, So thank you for that. Well, thank you. Thanks. Yeah.
- 37:41Speaker 1: I just celebrated my thirtieth birthday on the first as well,
- 37:45Speaker 1: so it's kind of a new new year and looking
- 37:47Speaker 1: forward to another year with you guys. Gay guy in
- 37:50Speaker 1: the room here, all right, you know that, right? Yeah? Yeah,
- 37:52Speaker 1: Eric's birthday today. Wow. Yeah, fifty birthday next year, next year. Yeah, really, yeah,
- 38:00Speaker 1: you guys, you're getting old. Yeah, we're all getting over.
- 38:08Speaker 1: I just wanted to talk about team chemistry a little
- 38:11Speaker 1: bit today because I was watching all the postgame and
- 38:14Speaker 1: the conferences press conferences, i should say, and the press
- 38:16Speaker 1: conferences yesterday. And I've been impressed with Kendrick Bourne and
- 38:20Speaker 1: Matt Judon all year, just because there are two guys
- 38:23Speaker 1: I really look forward to listening to just in the
- 38:24Speaker 1: press room, and I just wanted to ask you guys
- 38:27Speaker 1: kind of how you felt about the new additions and
- 38:29Speaker 1: maybe even some of the young draftees like Stevenson and
- 38:33Speaker 1: everyone who've kind of made a difference as far as
- 38:35Speaker 1: team chemistry in a positive manner. Yeah, I think this
- 38:39Speaker 1: is at least from what we've been told and what
- 38:41Speaker 1: we can see, that's been a good thing this year.
- 38:44Speaker 1: Like people genuinely like each other and it seems like
- 38:47Speaker 1: it's a good locker room this year. Well, I would
- 38:49Speaker 1: wholeheartedly agree with Johnny's too that he picked Judan and Born.
- 38:53Speaker 1: I think you've been good. Yeah, in regard, I think
- 38:55Speaker 1: they're both pretty light yep, but serious in the locker room,
- 38:59Speaker 1: and I think they've been good additions and mixed in Well,
- 39:02Speaker 1: I think they had a great offseason period signing, like
- 39:06Speaker 1: not just the production on the field, but the type
- 39:08Speaker 1: of like like he said, the people, Yeah, well, I
- 39:11Speaker 1: mean I think that's a mixed bag, but I think
- 39:13Speaker 1: those two guys will home runs and in that regard,
- 39:16Speaker 1: like off the field, I think I think Judan and
- 39:18Speaker 1: Born have really hit really hit team chemistry. I think
- 39:22Speaker 1: to me, just really quicking to know how about the
- 39:23Speaker 1: phony um it kind of reminds me a little bit
- 39:25Speaker 1: of the twenty thirteen Red Sox. Um they they signed
- 39:28Speaker 1: guys like Johnny Goones and Mike Napoli Um and you know,
- 39:32Speaker 1: once they kind of joined the team and made a
- 39:34Speaker 1: big difference there. You know, the Red Sox made their
- 39:36Speaker 1: run which no one really expected him to do and
- 39:38Speaker 1: won the World Series. Now I don't think this team
- 39:39Speaker 1: to necessarily win the super Bowl per se, but you
- 39:42Speaker 1: know it, you know, to get to where they are,
- 39:44Speaker 1: I think Born and Judean and the young guys that
- 39:46Speaker 1: made a big difference. It's the age old question though,
- 39:48Speaker 1: if if you don't make the run, do you have
- 39:51Speaker 1: the chemistry? So what comes first? The chemistry or the winning?
- 39:55Speaker 1: You know, I think, yeah, that is that is a
- 39:57Speaker 1: good question. I think when you look back when they
- 39:59Speaker 1: were two, um, and you listen to some of the
- 40:01Speaker 1: conversations they were having, Like you know, some of the
- 40:03Speaker 1: guys like Jones are a little bit down, but yeah,
- 40:06Speaker 1: guys like Born, who I think, we're you know, still upbeat,
- 40:09Speaker 1: you know, and I think so to have to be
- 40:10Speaker 1: able to be upbeat through diversity can kind of help
- 40:13Speaker 1: breathe some of that, yeah, you know, positive positive confidence
- 40:16Speaker 1: going forward. It's it's tough now because you know, we
- 40:18Speaker 1: don't get to go in the locker room not that.
- 40:20Speaker 1: You know, when we were in the locker room. It
- 40:22Speaker 1: was behind the scenes, but at least he got a
- 40:24Speaker 1: little bit more of a you know, a look at
- 40:27Speaker 1: how guys demeanors are. You see who interacted? Yeah, with
- 40:30Speaker 1: each other? Yeah, And we don't get to see that anymore.
- 40:32Speaker 1: The only time we get to see anything is on
- 40:33Speaker 1: a zoom call and it's one guy. You know. There's
- 40:35Speaker 1: no interaction though, so it's hard to judge, like, yeah,
- 40:38Speaker 1: the team pemistry right when you don't see the team
- 40:41Speaker 1: interacting with one another. Yep. You know that's why I asked,
- 40:44Speaker 1: you know, Deuce when he comes back from practice mood, Yeah,
- 40:47Speaker 1: see how they are they are out there. Even Johnny laughed,
- 40:51Speaker 1: all right, Johnny, thanks for calling. All right? Johnny bills
- 40:56Speaker 1: in DC about deferring. Oh yeah, he says, listening to
- 41:03Speaker 1: yesterday's discussion to the second deferring to the second half,
- 41:07Speaker 1: maybe wonder about the importance of scoring first. According to
- 41:11Speaker 1: five thirty eight you know that website, this season, the
- 41:15Speaker 1: teams that scored first have won over sixty three percent
- 41:18Speaker 1: of their games. Even more impressive, since Week nine, the
- 41:22Speaker 1: teams that scored first have won over seventy five percent
- 41:25Speaker 1: of the games. Now, that doesn't say if the team
- 41:27Speaker 1: that scored first took the opening kickoff. But if I'm
- 41:30Speaker 1: a coach of a high powered offense and I think
- 41:32Speaker 1: my team can score from the get go, I'd strongly
- 41:35Speaker 1: consider taking the opening kickoff if I won the coin toss.
- 41:39Speaker 1: For the Patriots, they got the ball eight times to
- 41:41Speaker 1: start the second half, and they've scored just twice on
- 41:44Speaker 1: their first drive. I'm not a stats guy, but this
- 41:46Speaker 1: seems to say that deferring is overrated when it comes
- 41:50Speaker 1: to the Patriots and that overall it's much more important
- 41:54Speaker 1: to score the first points of the game. There's a
- 41:58Speaker 1: lot of information missing from that. Yeah, and he addressed
- 42:02Speaker 1: a lot of it, Like it just doesn't say whether
- 42:04Speaker 1: or not they score in the first possession of the game,
- 42:06Speaker 1: which is huge because otherwise it's irrelevant. And it also
- 42:10Speaker 1: doesn't say what is the winning percentage of the teams
- 42:12Speaker 1: that defer, right, because like, how many of the percentage
- 42:17Speaker 1: of wins by scoring first? Did the team defer and
- 42:20Speaker 1: score first? And now has the hammer right? Yep, Because
- 42:25Speaker 1: I think it's an enormous advantage to do what Buffalo did,
- 42:30Speaker 1: and that's defer and score first. Right, Yeah, that's the trifecta.
- 42:36Speaker 1: That's why you do it. Like, so I can have
- 42:39Speaker 1: the chance to get a lead at the end of
- 42:40Speaker 1: the half and then stretch it in the second half.
- 42:43Speaker 1: Now I have a multiple score lead in the second half.
- 42:46Speaker 1: What's the winning percentage of teams with a multiple score
- 42:48Speaker 1: lead in the second half. Like, there's a lot of
- 42:51Speaker 1: things there are that are at work. The Patriots offense
- 42:55Speaker 1: hasn't been great, so defer or not, you know, it's
- 43:00Speaker 1: that's part of the problems some of the games. They
- 43:02Speaker 1: have really good games offensively, right, and they have it
- 43:05Speaker 1: takes a whole half o. Um, let's see who's this,
- 43:13Speaker 1: um Blendie writes in or whoever that is? Um, So
- 43:18Speaker 1: you tell us who you are and where you're from.
- 43:20Speaker 1: That's what all right, He's just cut at your birthday.
- 43:22Speaker 1: Get a whole thing about mister lifts song. I don't
- 43:25Speaker 1: want to get into that, get all the lyrics and
- 43:29Speaker 1: but anyway, he says, I've been listening for fifteen years now,
- 43:32Speaker 1: mostly on the podcast format, interacted a few times by
- 43:36Speaker 1: email and once by phone. I really lurk in lakes
- 43:39Speaker 1: like the Locknus, but a number is gone and I
- 43:44Speaker 1: and my contribution in this email comes in that format.
- 43:47Speaker 1: I would like to congratulate Eric, the true winner of
- 43:50Speaker 1: the PU picks for the twenty twenty one season. I'm
- 43:52Speaker 1: stopping at two hundred and fifty six games played. For
- 43:54Speaker 1: comparison purposes, he eked out the title of straight up
- 43:58Speaker 1: picks by one from Paul Um and really dominated thing
- 44:02Speaker 1: I did, messed up in my mad and really dominated
- 44:05Speaker 1: the spread picks by bettering his record over year over
- 44:08Speaker 1: year plus thirty nine. He absolutely yeah, has run away
- 44:13Speaker 1: with the picks. Yeah the spread. Yeah. So for comparison
- 44:17Speaker 1: straight up twenty twenty verse twenty twenty one, Mike improved.
- 44:22Speaker 1: This is the straight up picks. Mike improved by four, Okay,
- 44:26Speaker 1: Paul worsened by three, Yeah, what are you gonna do?
- 44:29Speaker 1: Eric worsened by two, and Fred worsened by three from
- 44:34Speaker 1: last year for straight up Yeah, so he said Mike
- 44:38Speaker 1: got better. I got better. Mike won it last year
- 44:40Speaker 1: didn't So we must have. We all had bad years
- 44:42Speaker 1: last year? We did, I guess, yeah, we did? I
- 44:44Speaker 1: did anyway. For comparison against the spread twenty twenty, there's
- 44:48Speaker 1: twenty one, Mike improved by twelve. Wow. He improved. Yeah,
- 44:52Speaker 1: I guess he was really by last year? I think
- 44:55Speaker 1: I don't remember. Uh, Paul improved by eleven. Yeah, I
- 44:59Speaker 1: improved by more than eleven. Oh oh well, I mean
- 45:03Speaker 1: I've never had a year like this with the spread.
- 45:05Speaker 1: Eric improved by thirty nine. That's over last year. That ridiculous.
- 45:11Speaker 1: That to me makes sense. That's how good that we've been.
- 45:13Speaker 1: That's why I'm saying, like, I wasn't that good last year?
- 45:16Speaker 1: And he said Fred improved by eleven, which, according to
- 45:20Speaker 1: this you and I Paul had the exact same spread
- 45:23Speaker 1: um from last year. I can tell you that in
- 45:25Speaker 1: a moment. One. Well, but remember it's minus one. Oh,
- 45:29Speaker 1: that's right, because this week, yester week, that is true.
- 45:32Speaker 1: That's we're tied right now. Yeah, no, last year, he said, No,
- 45:35Speaker 1: he's he's talking about from last year. We were also
- 45:37Speaker 1: tied last year. If we're both plus eleven, oh okay,
- 45:39Speaker 1: that's oh and we're tied again this year. Yeah, that's unbelievable. Yeah.
- 45:43Speaker 1: And I don't pick what you picked, not all the time. No, No,
- 45:46Speaker 1: First of all, nobody picks with you. No one gets
- 45:48Speaker 1: the grandma's house, the road, the road that you take
- 45:51Speaker 1: might explain it. By the way. That's why I say
- 45:53Speaker 1: all the time, I can't this little teaser. I'm picking
- 45:55Speaker 1: the Jets this week straight up, so last see yeah, yeah,
- 45:59Speaker 1: I wonder, and we'll still end up to being tied.
- 46:02Speaker 1: So if you guys had dabbled in the betting circles
- 46:05Speaker 1: for real, assuming you placed the wager of one hundred
- 46:07Speaker 1: and ten dollars to win one hundred on every game,
- 46:10Speaker 1: this is going to be depressing. Deuce would be in
- 46:11Speaker 1: the red three thousand and fifty dollars and seventeen cents, yeah,
- 46:16Speaker 1: equivalent to an investment return of minus ten point nine
- 46:19Speaker 1: percent during the course of the first seventeen weeks, and
- 46:22Speaker 1: everyone else would have been considered a sharp eric plus
- 46:26Speaker 1: three thousand, four hundred fifty eight dollars and twenty six
- 46:29Speaker 1: cents investment return of plus twelve twelve point four percent.
- 46:34Speaker 1: Both Paul and Fred would be plus one thousand, seven
- 46:37Speaker 1: hundred and seventy nine dollars and thirty five cents, equivalent
- 46:40Speaker 1: to investment return of plus ten point seven plus. Remember
- 46:44Speaker 1: putting one hundred dollars in every game to win one
- 46:47Speaker 1: hundred and ten to win one hundred, that's what you
- 46:49Speaker 1: have to do right, So you'll lose in ten. You
- 46:51Speaker 1: know you're only winning ninety. Yeah, no, you'll win one hundred.
- 46:53Speaker 1: You'll lose one hundred and ten. Yeah, that's how it works.
- 46:57Speaker 1: I see the look he just gave Paul. I mean
- 47:00Speaker 1: that's what he said, right. Yeah, I guess I think that.
- 47:02Speaker 1: I don't know anyway, someone's low. It does seem low.
- 47:06Speaker 1: I think all the stories. This guy has too much
- 47:10Speaker 1: time on his hands. Well, yeah, thanks for listening. On
- 47:12Speaker 1: the moral of the story is, I'm glad I don't
- 47:14Speaker 1: cheat at the picks contest because I would have just
- 47:16Speaker 1: gotten outed. But that's that's pretty that's amazing. That's pretty good.

- 57:22Speaker 1: attendance is yesterday. No, Kyle Dugger, everybody else was there?
- 57:25Speaker 1: Um no returns from the COVID list that remains just
- 57:28Speaker 1: Miles bryant Yandney kad just and uh and Will Sherman
- 57:31Speaker 1: from the practice squad, uh the new fifty nine, though
- 57:33Speaker 1: weren't sure who it was. Some debate in the media.
- 57:36Speaker 1: Anthony Jennings then looked like Anthony Jennings to me, tread's hall.
- 57:40Speaker 1: I don't think it was him either. I think it
- 57:41Speaker 1: might have been with the Safeties, maybe a special teams
- 57:43Speaker 1: guy or a practice squad guy. But I guess we'll
- 57:45Speaker 1: wait and see who that was. He was, you know,
- 57:47Speaker 1: talking without Brandon King a lot um but otherwise, Yeah,
- 57:50Speaker 1: it's pretty chilly out there, pretty chilly, feels like window huh.
- 57:54Speaker 1: It was like a storm I bruin. Yeah, yeah, but
- 57:57Speaker 1: but it was quick, only got and only got stretching
- 57:59Speaker 1: and you know, kind of rattling through it. Most of
- 58:01Speaker 1: the time spent trying to figure out who was who
- 58:04Speaker 1: was fifty nine? But uh but yeah, no, no real
- 58:06Speaker 1: grousing today. It was. It was a yeah, small crew,
- 58:09Speaker 1: though small crew. It was the mood of the players
- 58:12Speaker 1: worth because they were outside. Yeah, it was it was.
- 58:15Speaker 1: It didn't jump out, didn't nothing jumped out again. It
- 58:17Speaker 1: was only stretching though, so um, not a lot of
- 58:19Speaker 1: hooting and hollerand or anything like that like I saw
- 58:21Speaker 1: yesterday inside. But um, yeah, it was. It was okay.
- 58:25Speaker 1: Nothing nothing really stood out mood wise or energy wise
- 58:28Speaker 1: or people. Did you get a lot of thanks for
- 58:30Speaker 1: your pool report yesterday? I made sure Mike Reece was
- 58:33Speaker 1: it was? It was good with it. I told him,
- 58:35Speaker 1: you know, if tomorrow the snow does hit, I told him,
- 58:37Speaker 1: all I'll try to do the same thing. So, you know,
- 58:39Speaker 1: I just trying to be fair at everybody. But like
- 58:42Speaker 1: I said, it's a little bit pressure. You know, some somebody,
- 58:44Speaker 1: big names not there. You got to be pretty sure
- 58:47Speaker 1: that he's not there before you put it out there
- 58:48Speaker 1: with all these people depending on you. So we'll see tomorrow.
- 58:52Speaker 1: What was Bill wearing? Oh, I didn't see him. I
- 58:55Speaker 1: didn't see it. I didn't. I didn't lay eyes on him.
- 58:57Speaker 1: I was laying eyes on players mostly, um but maybe
- 59:01Speaker 1: a jacket. I would hope. It was pretty chilly out there. Well,
- 59:03Speaker 1: if you don't know, don't, don't, don't spect him. I don't,
- 59:06Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know what he was wearing.
- 59:07Speaker 1: He could have been wearing nothing. Belichick not at practice
- 59:10Speaker 1: right right, might have been wearing a Jack reporter said. Now,
- 59:15Speaker 1: luckily there were enough people there, Mike Greece, Jim McBride
- 59:19Speaker 1: Mark Daniels that were able to confirm. So yeah, we'll
- 59:22Speaker 1: see if fifty nine is. So, I'm kind of curious
- 59:23Speaker 1: with their with the bringing in. Maybe you thought it
- 59:26Speaker 1: was bigger than a linebacker. No, I thought it was
- 59:28Speaker 1: smaller than a linebacker. I mean that's what I meant. Yeah,
- 59:31Speaker 1: you said he was with the save. Well, they were
- 59:33Speaker 1: kind of warming up, but the safeties are kind of
- 59:35Speaker 1: next to the linebackers. So he was talking about with
- 59:36Speaker 1: Brandon King. Um. At first I was like, oh, Brondon
- 59:40Speaker 1: King is sort of there's a new fifty nine. And
- 59:41Speaker 1: then the guys were like, I think we think it's
- 59:43Speaker 1: Jennings and I you know, busted out my big buyos
- 59:46Speaker 1: and uh didn't look like Jennings to me. Jennings tall,
- 59:49Speaker 1: This guy was more. He would have been more like
- 59:51Speaker 1: Terres Hall, a little bit shorter, more being me around
- 59:53Speaker 1: more around six feet. But um, yeah, we'll see who
- 59:56Speaker 1: it was. Probably, I mean, you know it's not it's
- 59:58Speaker 1: not gonna be Lawrence Taylor anybody, but maybe a practice squad.
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: So whoever that guy is, he would have to show
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: up on the wire later. Yeah, technically he couldn't have
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: been right, right, that's what we were discussing. We were like,
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: aren't there both on? We haven't seen Tarez Halls even
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: in the spring. I mean I haven't seen him since
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: last the season finale last year and he was on
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: pup right, Yeah, yeah, and the time he should be done. Yeah,
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: so it really shouldn't. I don't. I don't think either
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: Jennings or or Hall are eligible to play this year.
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: So that's why it's it's it's got to be a
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: new guy. I would guess somebody will have who it
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: is shortly, probably Mike Greeves. Yeah, so if Dugger's out,
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: maybe it's someone along those lines of safety, And there
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: it is, you got it, Mike. It was Leroy Reynolds.
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: Remember they signed him last offseason. He was a free agent,
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: free agent, veteran special teams guy. Um that I don't
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: think he lasted very long ago, but he's the one
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: that I think I got mixed up with somebody else
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: at the time and I was like, I was like,
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: they released him already, didn't they? And you were like, no,
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: that was a different guy, and it was some colver
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: he was here. There's yeah, he was one of the
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: signings this year. I remember just because that was in
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: like that avalanche when they were signing all those guys
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: and uh and then he was one, like there were
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: all these high profile guys like who is le Roy Reynolds? Right? Um?
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: So yeah, special teams guy. Don't really have any recollection
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: of that name. But nine is a weird say, this
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: is what I mean. You guys make fun of me.
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: I don't. I don't remember that. It just happen because
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: it's a short term. But it just happened. You don't
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: have short You have to live, right, you need to
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: have separation. Yeah you're saying I'm dead. No, no, just
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: inside with the games. You like you live through the games. Yeah,
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: you didn't experience Leroy Reynolds this time, right right? I
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: was thinking of that that cornerback that they like Pipkins
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: or something like that. That was the first move last. Yes,
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: that's what I was thinking when you started. You don't
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: remember that name, but all so I remember Lindsay pipkinsable.
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: It's a memorable. That's a fair point. Dougler's hand injury.
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: It must be pretty serious to miss two practices, right, Yeah,
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: I mean did you usually Hannon you wrap it up
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: and run around a little bit they want They clearly
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: want to play Buffalo. Yeah, exactly. Yeah, that was good.
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: I had good, some good chat with Evan Lazarre about
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: matchups and he kind of wants Buffalo, but we also
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: talked about Cincinnati and you know, just kind of what
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: a matchup, tough matchup that is with all the weapons
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: that they have, and how would the Patriots kind of
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: manage that? And he said, he's like, Mixing's the one
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: that would scare me the most of everybody, because I
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: think that they could dedicate a bunch of resources to maybe,
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: you know, at least take away the Adr Jamar Chase touchdowns.
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: But once you spread out like that, you play a
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: lot of dbs and you're focused on those guys and
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: Tee Higgins and you know, they might let Mixon kind
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: of run a little while, but he's got COVID, so
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: we'll see. Yeah, all right, but not really. No, it's
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: part of the ploy, of course. So he wants Buffalo
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: because he thinks it's the easier team. I think he
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: just thinks that there's no secrets, and you know that
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: they would have some kind of counter to them. I mean,
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: it was kind of what Paul was talking about yesterday.
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: To me, it's the opposite. That's why I don't want Buffalo. Yep,
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: I want to I think if there's surprises, I'm gonna
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: I'm gonna give Belichick the edge. He's gonna come up
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: with things that are gonna work as opposed to McDermott
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: and his staff kind of seeing everything the Patriots have. Yeah,
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: it was a good segment yesterday on your on your
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: show there with with Tony and yeah, I was put
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: in the parts I caught where you guys were discussing
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: that and who would you want to play? And and
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: you know somehow that that's there's another felgarism, right, Okay,
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: so it deteriorates into you know, well, yeah, you know,
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: I give McDermott a lot of credit for this last game,
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: but you know, they were completely emasculated in the first game.
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: And I was like, because they lost fourteen to ten
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: and then like unbelievable windstorm, Like, okay, if you can,
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: if you're gonna get the team in that wind again,
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: I'll take it. Yeah, butause I think the Patriots will
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: win a game with just running better than Buffalo can.
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: But that's one of those narratives. If he keeps saying
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: it over and over again. It becomes fact, but it's not.
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: But the thing is, at the time, it wasn't fact,
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: like they were the opposite. They were like the dee
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: fense won the game. Yeah, and that it's like the
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: game plan won the game. Because he's in a different argument.
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: It's kind of like you goal post. Yeah, the defense
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: is the defense on that game, right, all right, Sprinkler,
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, all right? Eight five five past five
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: hundred is the a sticke at hotline eight five pats
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: five hundred. Let's get into some calls. Sean's in Vancouver. Hey, Sean,
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: happy birthday, Eric. I hope the Patriots to give you
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: a win to celebrate in Miami. Thank you, Sean, appreciate you.
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: I forgot no problem, Paul, I, thank you, Juice. I
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: didn't forget all remembered. Paul remembers a lot. Sorry, Sean,
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: what's up? No, I have a hypops this about the
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: whole Bengaled odd thing. I think it might be because
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: what's the most likely thing to happen is the Patriots
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: play the Bills in one scenario, but there's multiple likely
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: scenarios where the Patriots would would play the Bengals. For example,
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: if um, like all three teams that are favored, Kansas City,
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: Tennessee and and Buffalo win, you could still have, um,
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: the Patriots lose and play the Bengals, or the Patriots
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: can win and play the Bengals if um, if they
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: lose to Cleveland, which is kind of a toss up
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: with this whole COVID thing. Yeah, but isn't that true
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: of all of the matchups. Yeah, but they're just less
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: likely scenarios, Like you're you're relying like on something like
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: Kansas City and UH and Tennessee lose in those scenarios. No,
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: but if you're relying on the most likely scenarios, then
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: all the teams would win if you do that. But
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: that's just one. There's there's other likely scenarios, Like the
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: Patriots beating the Dolphins is favored, but I don't think
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: it's as likely as what as say, the Tennessee or
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: or Kansas City or even Buffalo losing those three teams winning,
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: the Patriots chances are winning. I think it was good
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: as good as Kansas City. I mean, I mean, I
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: understand what you're saying, Sean, but I think there are
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: a lot of different variables where the Patriots could play Buffalo,
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: and there's a lot of different variables where they could
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: play Cincinnati, and there's variables that they could play Kansas
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: City or Tennessee. Yeah, yeah, yeah, they could be anywhere,
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: like he said, anywhere, but four, right, they can't the
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: Patriots can't finish four. Yeah. Yeah, that's the only thing
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: they can't do. Yeah, we know that. I'm just thinking,
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: like what seems more likely? In my mind, there are
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: like three three things, So that's that's where I'm going out. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: I mean you might be right. I just I find
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: it hard to believe that they feel like thanks that
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: the change is most likely, like the Bengals are going
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: to change spots most likely. Yeah, And it wasn't. It
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: doesn't have anything to do with Burrow and mix and
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: not right right, It's just that's what it's been like
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: that all week. Yeah, and then but then the layer
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: added to that is just the complication of all the
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: guys not playing them, resting guys like you don't know
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: what Browns and Bengals teams are even gonna play. So
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: that's that. But Shawn's probably right, It probably has to
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: do with the variables Uh, most of the variables probably
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: fall with the Patriots and Bengals lining up. Yeah, like
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: whether it's three six, four five, Right, there's probably more
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: variables where it's the Bengals than the Bills. And that's
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: probably the answer to the question. Right, John's probably got
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: that one. Yeah, but the most likely variable is probably
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: they all win in the Patriots play the Bills, But
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: who knows. I think so. It'll just be nice when
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: you finally get the game. Yeah, we have to wait
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: till late Sunday night to find all that out, but yeah,
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: that will be up. Did you guys happen to see
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: that the NFL, for whatever reason this year has made
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: it public. I guess they do it all the time
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: for the Super Bowl backup they have. Yes, that's a
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: good point. I was going to bring that up. Actually, yeah,
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: Dallas is going to be the backup Fred's NAT venue
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: if Yeah, I know Reindeer games for Fred today? What's
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: that in LA? The NFL has a backup plan for
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: the Super Bowl site? Did you see that? Evidently they
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: do it every year, but for whatever reason, they decided
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: to make it public this year that they reached out
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: to Dallas as a potential contingency in case just because
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: what LA might be it is my too restrictive with
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: the COVID stuff right now, huh interest. But they do
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: it every year. Yeah, they're stressing though it's gonna happen
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: in LA. It's gonna happen in LA. But the news
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: got out there that Yeah, I mean you have to
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: even about pandemics. You know, maybe you know earthquakes, hurricanes, whatever.
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying that they have a contingency
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: every year. It's super according to them, Yeah you got
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: you gotta play that game. It's not the Okay Bowl,
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: It's Super Bowl. Yeah, well, Texas, I'm sure it'll be
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: come on, happy to have you come on out. Well,
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: probably said, you know, you know, they reached out, Roger
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: reached out to that. Well remember that year they did
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: have the Sport of Bowl Dallas and it was that
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: ice storm. It was just a mess. Yeah, they've had
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: it in Dallas since then, though, I think, yeah, the
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: Super Bowl sure about that. I don't think so. I
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: don't know, I believe. I don't think. I want to say,
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: Green Bay, Pittsburgh, I don't know. Wasn't that in Dallas?
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: I just remember that one that one was a bad one.
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: Maybe that was the one that might have been the
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: one in Atlanta when not our Atlanta, but the one
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: with Ray Rice. I meant ray Rice Ray Ray Lewis. Yeah,
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: you know who I meant. Back then. Yeah, back then
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: they had a terrible ice storm or it was unusual
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: weather for Atlanta and they were happy about that. Uh,
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: Ken's in the Navyburgh. I'll find us Happy birthday. Eric
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: appreciate that. Thank you. Yeah, um, yeah, I was was.
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: I'm I was dancing in full uniform in my office
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: when the song came on. Oh it's hard, it's so catchy.
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: But we'll send you the move so you can do
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: the pub. Yeah, it's gonna be one of those TikTok challenges.
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: I don't want TikTok, but I'm down. I'm with you.
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: I am proud to say I have never ever, ever
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: been on TikTok and never will be. I like it.
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: I know you do, you at least look at it now. Well,
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: I mean I've seen clips of it on TV, but
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: I'm not. I've no interest in being on there. It's
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: the biggest time stuck yet for me. As far as
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: social media is it really Yeah, I didn't. I don't
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: get the fascination with why don't you check it out? No,
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: because I've seen I mean i've seen it. Like I said,
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: I've seen clips of people looking at it or showing
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: the things on television, but it just doesn't do anything
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: for me. Yeah, Saturday, and I did a good bit
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: a couple of weeks ago that kind of some TikTok up.
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: But the good thing is it's like curated to you,
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: and you know, as you use it, you get all
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: the stuff, particularly like social media get travel stuff. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: I could get that in much better places. I don't. Oh,
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: he's so dismisses social media in general, doesn't appeal to
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: It's very Iman's anti social media. You can't make fun
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: of him for that. You hate it to that's right
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: with the stick, Paul, No, because you would be last
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: genuine relax and you And that was the ice Storm game,
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: by the way. Yeah, so that one time they had.
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: It's just another one. I can't tell you about le
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: Roy Roberts. It wasn't far away Leroy Reynolds. Reynolds, Roberts, Reynolds,
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: what do you got? Ken? And DU's his comment? Maybe
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: you remember I totally forgot that Anthony Jennings is on
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: our team. Yeah, I did too until yesterday to him. Yeah,
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: well here's how bad it was. Ken. I saw a
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: couple of games ago. You know that this is how
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: little Jamie Collins has done this year. I saw a
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: fifty eight make a play and I thought, hey, when
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: did Anthony Jennis come back? And I was like, oh,
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: that's rights, which had another later confusion today that he
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: took fifty eight and now you know the nine and
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: there as Hall and he could be Jennis. Yeah, too much.
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: He was. He was he distressed. I can't you remember
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: now last last year. He was in in and out
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: of camp this year and then I don't know when
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: he land on I are at the end of it,
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: at the end before that, before the started cut downs,
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: cut down, they put him on arm Yeah, yeah, cut
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: him down to size. Well what I really called him
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: for it? I mean maybe I just realized this. Maybe
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: you guys have realized appreciated for a while, but I
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: just one run from uh the battery ram there, Andre,
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: I just realized it hit me. When was the last
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: time you saw a negative running player for the Patriots?
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: Just go off the gun and just get stuffed. I'll
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: at the head one the other day, didn't they two
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: weeks ago? They'll do just now. Yeah, and before that
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: the Indianapolis game, those two teams, I think there was
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: negative yardage in those games, the first first play of
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: the game and the Buffalo gap. Nothing the two teams
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: that won the line of scrimmage clearly from the kickup. Okay, well,
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: I mean, I mean that's you could think out one
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: or two, right, but I mean better, No doubt. He's good.
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: He's good. He's tough. I really like Stevenson a lot
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: tough to bring down. You think there's nothing there, and
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: he's somehow scores. He's got like quick feet in small spaces.
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: You know. He's unique, you know, big but light on
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: his feet and tough and keeps it stays low. He's
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: everything they told me, like Garrett Blunt was. Yeah, only
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: he actually does it right. Yes, Paul, That's what I
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: hated about Bloud. He couldn't get out of the back.
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: Who who doos? Damn? I did it again? Blunt? Blunt Blunt?
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: Did you say, why do you call him? Because I
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: don't listen to the blounder? Blunt Blunt Blunt, do you
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: call yourself to salt. There's a tea in there. Many
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: people do incorrectly. That's why you need me there to
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: correct now as they do it. I call it first
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: day of school, do so you know? All right, Ken,
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: thanks for the call. Uh, Marvin's in North Carolina. Hate Marvin.
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: Haven't heard from you in a while. Yeah. I've been busy, Freddy,
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: how about you. I'm doing good, all right. He's taking
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: care of my corn holeboard. Your am, Yeah, all right. Anyway,
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: I got a kind of cool story to tell you
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: about the ashes thing. Um, it's a little bit reverse,
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: but I still think it's pretty cool. And yeah, I
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: got I grew up hello, Yeah, Well, I was just
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: gonna tell you right quick. I grew up. I was
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: a kid of the sixties. Uh. I remember watching the
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: first Super Bowl. I was about fourteen. Uh. And my
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: dad had two teams. My dad loved Mickey Mandelin the
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: New York Yankees, and he loved Vince Lombardi and the
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: Green Bay Packers. And in nineteen sixty nine he painted
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: our beach house at Long Beach, North Carolina, packer gold
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: with green trim. So, uh, anyway, you fast forward about
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: sixty five years and Dad had passed away, and my
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: sister was a project manager and got to go on
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: a visit to Green Bay, wisconsinan to the hospital up
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: there for a project. And one of the purse was
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: they took her on a tour of Lambeau and so
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: she goes prepared and she has a little tumpleware thing
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: and she scoops up some dirt and puts it in it,
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: and she brings it back and we take it and
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: sprinkle it on my dad's grave, so he knew what
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: the frozen Tandra felt. Wow, that's very cool. That's a
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: that's a that's a great thing. Yeah, that's awesome. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: I thought it was. When you people were talking about
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: scattering ashes on the field, we kind of did the reverse. Yeah,
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: that's that's that's nice. That's awesome. Well thanks for that memory, Marvin,
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: I appreciate it. I remember when I lived in New
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: Jersey the Mets win the World Series in sixty nine.
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: My friend's dad was at the game, and back then,
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: everybody ran on the field and he came back with
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: a piece of turf from Shay Stadium. So I convinced
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: my friend to plant it in his front yard and
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: his father found out he got in so much trouble
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: because now it's gone. Oh no, I don't know where
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: it is. I think it was in that area. It's
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: pulling it up, she's spreading ashes. What were you guys
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: talking about? I was gone, screw it up. You listen
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: to me. It sounds pretty dark. Somebody called and wanted
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: to have their well, I mean with the field turf.
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: I don't know if it really I thought it was
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: like the practice fields or grass, so maybe that's more
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: appropriate enough. We'll see filip A from Rio de Janeiro
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: right saying have you've been there? Eric, No, I have
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: not never been to Rio, not yet. You plan on
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: it some day. I love to do. Now would you wear?
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: Would you wear like a speed Hell's no, no, no,
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: you wouldn't play the way they play down there. Hammock, Yeah, no,
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: it's not okay, it is not cool. Um flip A says,
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: wouldn't it be better to play the Bills in the
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: playoffs just because they're a known commodity and we know
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: that victory is within reach, although it would be tough
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: as far as the matchup with the Bengals goes. We
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: have no idea if our secondary can handle an explosive
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: wide receiver corps. Why would you know victory was within
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: reach because anyone else on because because you've done it.
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: I'm going back and forth on it. I hear the
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: merits of both sides. Oh, I'm fine with But like
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: anybody that says they'd rather play Buffalo and Cincinnati, I
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: don't think you. I don't think you're wrong. There's just
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: I think fresh about Cincinnati team Cincinnati, the matchup, right,
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: there's just something there's no real life. I'm just I'm
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: I'm taking emotion out and I'm just saying, which one
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: do you think the pages have a better chance to
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: which one? Mike, do you think they have a better chance?
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: And if you think it's Cincinnati, I don't think that's wrong. Yeah,
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: I think it's a coin flip. I'm leaning to it.
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: I mean, if you think it's Buffalo, they have a
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: better chance to be Buffalo. I go Cincinnati, Like I said,
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: strictly for one reason, the experience. Yeah, I think they're
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: both very good teams. Yeah, I just want to excite.
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: I want something different and since and that's what's cool,
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: and that makes a lot of sense. Rounds three with
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: Buffalo and everything that comes with I also feel like, yes,
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: you got the win in Buffalo, but I feel like
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: Buffalo beat themselves that night. They had the ball. With
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: how many chances inside they lost the game. The chances
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: of that or very slim, But the chances of the
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: game unfolding the way it did hear more likely, much
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: more likely, absolutely, with both teams being able to perform
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: yep normally, you know, because the weather doesn't prevent it.
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: And imagine all the maralaids they're gonna get thrown on
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: the field of that game. It was too cold to
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: throw them at. Yeah. Well actually there was both three
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: of them thrown, but they just got blown They got
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: blown back. Yeah, somebody walking outside. Oh Jesus, Yeah, Brandon
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: and Framingham. An emailer wrote in yesterday asking if other
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: teams would want to play the Patriots or avoid them.
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: I work at a grocery store and a customer came
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: in where Bengals gear. He had said that the Patriots
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: would definitely not be their first choice and he was
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: afraid of facing Belichick as I expected. People are probably
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: more scared to play against our coach than our team. Yeah.
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: I can see that, especially for it again, like a
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: Bengals team that doesn't hasn't really experienced it doesn't have
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: much up close experience with this Patriots team of who
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: they exactly are, as like a, you know, here's where
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: I'm gonna go on Fred's side too. I don't think
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: that when we talk about this stuff, I don't think
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: there's any like matchups that you say like, oh, like,
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: well that's the one I really want, like because that
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: one's easy right now, Like you're just asking what your
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: preference is. Basically, it's not like the old days where
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: you know you're inviting you know, the Tim Tebow, Broncos
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: or the markets. Yeah, that was what I was going
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: to say. When you're the top seed and you're like,
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: these guys can't handle what the Patriots have. Unless the
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: Patriots have a terrible game, they're not going to lose
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: that game the Bengals the same way. The Bengals aren't
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: sitting there saying, oh, I don't want to play the Patriots.
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: I'd rather play the Chiefs, or I don't want to
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: play the Patriots, I'd rather play the Bill No, right, Like,
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: all these teams are good and you gotta beat somebody.
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: Howardy this is Wayne in Tasmania. You know where that is, Tasmania. Yeah,
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: it's on the map. Yeah, he just pointed to the map. Yeah,
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: it's on the map. Its southern part of Australia. I
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: just wanted to touch base on two things. I was
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: on Fred's side about who do you want to play
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: in the playoffs discussion back when we had Brady and
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: we uh where we would stand and deliver. Now that
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: we need luck in fair breeze to fall asked backwards
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: to a Super Bowl, I want the path of least resistance. Yeah.
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: My second point was Patriots Nation needs to really just
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: accept we still need to cross our fingers and toes
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: that Mac is a top fifteen quarterback long before we
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: ever compare him to Brady. Here are some recent rookie
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: numbers that it's more reasonable to compare him to um
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: Mac Jones games played sixty yards, thirty five touchdowns, twenty
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: one interceptions twelve that's what he has. Jamis Winston as
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: a rookie game sixteen games, four thousand, forty two yards,
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: twenty two touchdowns, fifteen interceptions. Mayfield in fourteen games at
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: three thousand seven twenty five twenty seven tds, fourteen interceptions,
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: and Daniel Jones in thirteen games had three twenty seven yards,
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: twenty four touchdowns and twelve interceptions, not saying his career
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: trajectory will be the same as these guys. I just
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: think it's important to be sober and realistic about what's
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: been achieved so far. Absolutely love your work. I mean,
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: you can look at the numbers, but I honestly think
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: Jamar Jamis Winston might be the opposite player of Mac Jones,
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: just in terms of strengths and different and Daniel Jones
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: I've seen him, they don't. I mean, I know the stats,
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: maybe we saw him close, but I think you're missing
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: the point of the email. He's telling you you wouldn't
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: have said any of that stuff that you just said
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: after their rookie years said what said what? I look
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: at those guys and you're thinking of those guys, oh,
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: with four years under their belts, Like Baker Mayfield doesn't
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: look anything like he did as a rookie this year.
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: He was erratic, hurt, and you know, unproductive. But as
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: a rookie he was pretty good. Daniel Jones, I mean
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: twenty four and twelve and thirteen games, that's not bad.
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: But he's the same guy. I guess I missed the point.
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: He stinks like, I mean, I agree with you. I
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: just think I mean, I don't mean. I probably came
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: on a little you know. Oh No, I'm just didn't mean,
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: and I shouldn't like just automatically speak like, oh, this
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: is what the guy said. No, he wrote, he wrote
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: what he wrote. I think what he's talking about is
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: there's been a lot of guys that have had rookie
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: seasons commensurate with what mac Jones just. Yeah, a lot
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: of those guys did not turn out to be very
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: good players, and he just rattled off three of them. Yeah.
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: I think that's what the point of his email is, right.
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: I also want to know what were the records of
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: the like, but I don't care because their record has
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: nothing to do with the quarterback. I'm sorry it doesn't. No, No,
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: it has to do with the two hundred million dollars
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: they invested in the team and the greatest coach who's
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: ever lived on the sideline. They could have had another
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: guy do the same thing that he did. Those other teams,
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: what were those they didn't have, That's what I'm saying.
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: They didn't have Belichick. They didn't have the talent around them. No, Okay,
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: so you're saying that those guys on this team would
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: be ten and six or ten and six right now,
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: any of those numbers, right, yeah, any of those guys. No,
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: I'm just asking, yeah, like, what do you think Trevior
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: Lards would be if he was the Patriots quarterback? I
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: think the Patriots would have a pretty good record. Yeah,
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: I talked to Paul about this morning. I just like,
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: I'm just getting sick of everyone wants to figure out
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: how good Matt Jones is going to be and what
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: his career is right now and we have to figure
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: it out, and is he you know, like, can't you
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: just sit back and enjoy it. He just had a
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: really good rookie season. Just let it, just let it
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: come to you, like, you know, like we're not going
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: to figure it out in an afternoon drive time than this.
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: It's just he's he's a good player, He's had a
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: really good rookie season. He's fitting really well. How good
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: is he gonna be? I don't know. I look forward
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: to finding out. Roger writes in from Saint Louis. With
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: quite a few quarterbacks most likely changing teams this offseason,
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: simple yes or no. Would the team be better with
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: him over Mac next year? And he's got a list
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: of players. None of these are going to happen, but
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: it's just a game. Oh, I love games next year?
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: Would the Patriots be better off with Russell Wilson as
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: their quarterbacks? Yes, Derek Carr yes, yeah, Baker Mayfield no,
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: Matt Ryan no, no, Kirk Cousins no, Daniel Jones no no,
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: Jimmy Ga maybe okay. And I would say that most
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: of those they would be the same, like Daniel Jones
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: and two I think they'd be the same Daniel, Yeah, Daniel.
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: The only one I like. Baker Mayfield has rest in
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: my mind, Yeah, sad, And I think it's probably physical. Well,
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: they announced, but that's part of it. He's small football
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: question for Eric on his birthday. Um. Eric has been
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: consistent all year that he really does not care about
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: the Patriots record this year. It's all about how Mac looks. Right.
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: So with that, how do you feel? How does the
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: rest of the panel feel? I have answered this question
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: recently several times and the answer remains the same. He
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: has exceeded my expectations. Well, I don't know. I can't say, exceeded.
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: He is. He has lived up to what I hoped
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: would be a best case scenario, which was show's progress
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: every week. Hasn't had any real glaring like you know, overwhelmed, overwhelmed,
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: but he hasn't had like full games where it's like,
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: you know, he ain't got it today. Yeah, I mean
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: maybe the closest that came was like the couple of
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: weeks ago with the Colts game. For while it looked like,
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: oh boy, this is one of those games, but he
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: picked it up in the second half. He gave himself
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: a chance. I mean, he gave the team a chance.
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: And those other two Paul, I think, which would you say?
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: I wouldn't say like disasters, but I think there's been
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: a game. There's been a handful of rookie games, sure,
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: but likes Buffalo. You have to allow for a rookie
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: to play like a rookie in his rookie year at times.
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: But he's won more games than I thought he was
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: going to. He's made progress every week. We talked earlier
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: about how we like how he's his pocket presence has improved,
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: so which was great. What's what's uh? What are the
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: things that you think Mac has improved on since the beginning.
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: What thing do you think he's improved on the most
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: since the beginning of the season. That's interesting. It's an
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: interesting question because I feel like he started off pretty
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: good and it's like when he hits that level, I don't.
- 1:26:46Speaker 1: I mean, honestly, right in my mind, I don't. I
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: don't see something that jumps off the screen to me
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: that he's improved. It's just that I think he has
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: a presence about him. That's what I've noticed. There's the
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: like comfortability in the offense. But I'm not going to
- 1:26:57Speaker 1: tell you that I think his arm is improved or
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: that he's making better decisions. Like I just think he
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: has good Mac and rookie Mac and something and when
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: he's we've seen a lot of good Mac this year
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: where he's like last week, you know, getting the ball out,
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: don't doing what he does, but I have I don't.
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: I mean, to be honest, I don't. There's nothing that
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: jumps off the screen to me that, Wow, he's just
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: come so far from where he was. He started in
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: a pretty good spot. He's still in a pretty good spot.
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: He's had his moments that were bad. I think, you know,
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: you're still kind of waiting to see um, you know,
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: maybe maybe a little bit more explosiveness from the passing game.
- 1:27:27Speaker 1: But he's had some throws. He's had some throws, and
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: that goes back to training camp and I mean you
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: look at that Wilkerson throw. I mean that's the same
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: throw he made in training camp when Wolkerson dropped it.
- 1:27:34Speaker 1: You know, like it's the same thing. So I just well, really,
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: his next big, big test is the first playoff game. Yeah,
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: how does he how does he do in the play Yeah,
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: does he have the deer and headlights look a little
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: bit before the game, especially if he's got to go
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: back to Buffalo and it's you know, the next step
- 1:27:49Speaker 1: in the process. It's a it's gonna be a role
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: playoff game for him. It's gonna be tough. You know,
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: that's gonna be I mean, Cincinnati, when was the last
- 1:27:54Speaker 1: time they play a playoff game? When Carson Palmer towards
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: Aco in fifteen. Yeah, with the Dalton Dalton Dalton went
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: like four years in a row and they lost. But yeah,
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: they haven't won one, but they'll be fired up where
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: they were at home. I wonder probably, Yeah, these are
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: the games some of those. As an old Patriots fan,
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: You're like, what's going on the walk? That was even
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: post icky shuffle. I think it was post Deuce's answer
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: was very similar to the way we talked about a
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: pocket presence. Yeah, just he looks mccon. I think that's
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: the biggest When you saw him, and this is obviously
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: extreme going from rookie mini camp or whatever. I forget
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: what OTA session it even was that we saw him,
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: but you know, look like a rookie and got up
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: to the line, go back to the huddle, you know.
- 1:28:45Speaker 1: And I know that that's extreme and that that he's
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: a new player at that moment, but just overall, he
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: looks very much in control. And I think that was
- 1:28:51Speaker 1: the biggest jump he made from those OTAs to training camp.
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: When he got into training camp, it was like, Wow,
- 1:28:56Speaker 1: he looks comfortable, He looks you know, obviously there were
- 1:28:59Speaker 1: some throws that he missed, and you know, moments here
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: and there were still look at rookie in camp. But
- 1:29:03Speaker 1: you know when you get to that Dallas or sorry,
- 1:29:05Speaker 1: the Giants week when when Cam went out and he
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: got to play a little bit, you know, got that
- 1:29:09Speaker 1: full day and I just think that that bar, he
- 1:29:12Speaker 1: kind of sat. He's met consistently. I but we'll see.
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: I think that's what I'm excited about next summer is
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: to see, let's get a look at him on the fielder.
- 1:29:20Speaker 1: Couple a couple of real quick calls. I want to
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: get these in and then we got to jump right
- 1:29:23Speaker 1: into picks because we gotta really gotta hurry. Brad's in
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: the Eastern Shore. What's up? We gotta hys Hey, Happy
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: New Year, guys. Hey Um. Unfortunately, wife and I thought
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: COVID over Christmas, but we are on the men. At
- 1:29:35Speaker 1: least you were together. I had a thought Sunday watching
- 1:29:41Speaker 1: the game, and I wondered if Paul had this go
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: through his mind that what we saw from the Jacksonville
- 1:29:46Speaker 1: Jaguars is where all of the sunny Car Wash guys
- 1:29:50Speaker 1: go to play on Sunday. Well done, Brad, Yeah, um,
- 1:29:57Speaker 1: Happy birthday to Eric with the K Thank you, Brad,
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: appreciate it. Just wanted to throw two shut us and
- 1:30:03Speaker 1: ask one question. I think Mac has surpassed anything that
- 1:30:07Speaker 1: anybody really could think of him coming in this year,
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: and I think it's sad that we already have people
- 1:30:14Speaker 1: that are going like, well, he's not as good as
- 1:30:15Speaker 1: he could be, or I want somebody else. I mean
- 1:30:19Speaker 1: compared to what we had last year, the guy who
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: has been an absolute messiah for this team. Um, but
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: I really like the play that Barmore and Ramandree have
- 1:30:29Speaker 1: both brought to the team. As it was a good
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: draft from this he was a good draft. What else
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: you got? What? Quick question? We got a hurry yep.
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: And the question is which are you more concerned about
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: going into the playoffs? The offensive line play or the
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: defensive line play? Quick question? Yeah, defensive line than yeah,
- 1:30:51Speaker 1: I think the line. Yeah, because they're still vulnerable against
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: the good running team. Yeah. Old line has shown that
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: when they're healthy and together, they can block. This version
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: of the offensive line has not had any bad Yes,
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: the Carast Trent Brown offensive line has not really had
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: a bad game, all right, Eddie and Florida. What do
- 1:31:06Speaker 1: you got? That's quick? Hey, real quick? About the tight
- 1:31:10Speaker 1: end and then the running back the tight end. The
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: eye test for John Smith just doesn't cut it, agreed,
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: And that's why you can't compare him to Daniel Graham
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: and Ben Watson. Well, the eye test didn't work for
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: them either. Yeah. Oh, I thought they were a good
- 1:31:23Speaker 1: tight end. Well, Graham was a good blocker. What you
- 1:31:26Speaker 1: what you're getting out of Jonah Smith is what Daniel
- 1:31:28Speaker 1: Graham gave you for four years? Well, no, Graham was
- 1:31:32Speaker 1: a good blocker. That's what Jonah Smith is. Yeah, you
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: think he's a good blocker. Yes, Okay, he just picks
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: up a hold every now. Well, I mean all guys
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: get penalties. But yes, he's he's the blocking tight end. Okay,
- 1:31:44Speaker 1: keen on the ir No, No, he's on the active roster,
- 1:31:50Speaker 1: has been all year, but he rarely has been act
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: I think only once. Yeah, and that was thought. He's
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: always on the inactive list for game day. Yeah, keen
- 1:31:59Speaker 1: ir ye. All right, thanks Eddie H. And one more
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: time in North Carolina Draft. Any of you guys a
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: little upset that we don't get, Well, we're gonna find
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: out whether or not k C and the texts or
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: No played before us. No, what does that have to
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: do with anything. I just would like some suspense. You know,
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: if we played first one, we can sit there and go, hey,
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: the only one that matters is Buffalo. I guess yeah,
- 1:32:27Speaker 1: because there's not a gas already enough. If Buffalo wins,
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: it doesn't matter where Kansas City and right, and uh,
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: if Kansas City and Denver, if Kansas City and Tennessee lose,
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: it doesn't matter. If Buffalo loses and we win, we
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: win the division. Right, Yeah, it doesn't matter what anyone else.
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: And that's why they played those two games at the
- 1:32:45Speaker 1: same time. Right. The other games don't have anything to
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: do with the page. We can move around with other ones.
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: But yeah, we can't win the division unless Buffalo loses, correct,
- 1:32:54Speaker 1: got it? Okay? Thanks? All right, thanks to all right,
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: all right, it's that time, Paul. What happened last week? Uh,
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: it was a good week overall, and a bad week
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: with the spread overall. Eric, Wow, thirteen and three, just
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: just dominant, followed by Mike, Paul and Fred at twelve
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: and four. Oh see, that's a dominant week two. So
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: I said, it was a very good week overall with
- 1:33:24Speaker 1: the spread. Mike and Eric eight and eight, Paul and
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: Fred six and ten. I had nine and seven, Blendie,
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: what's what's going on in seven? Okay? Can we figure
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: this out later? I have eight losses for you. I mean,
- 1:33:43Speaker 1: I don't know. Yeah, we will we visit in a bit,
- 1:33:50Speaker 1: Blend anyway, tell us the overalls uh Eric one sixty
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: seven eighty eight and one, followed by Paul one sixty
- 1:33:59Speaker 1: six eighty nine and one. Mike won sixties I'm sorry
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: one sixty five ninety and one, Fred one sixty one
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: ninety four and one. With the spread, Eric has a
- 1:34:11Speaker 1: much larger lead one forty eight, one oh five and three,
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: followed by Fred and Paul tied at one forty one,
- 1:34:17Speaker 1: one twelve and three as what's the guy's name Blendie
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: as Blendie said, and Mike one eighteen, one thirty five
- 1:34:24Speaker 1: and three. Somebody wrote in tracking all of the year
- 1:34:27Speaker 1: to year numbers and the picks contest, and I did,
- 1:34:30Speaker 1: oh yeah, yeah, really yeah, I'd like to see that.
- 1:34:33Speaker 1: You know you wouldn't You would be if you bet
- 1:34:34Speaker 1: one ten to make one hundred on every game, you'd
- 1:34:36Speaker 1: be like minus three thousand plus on the season. What
- 1:34:40Speaker 1: was my first season? Though? That I have your losses?
- 1:34:43Speaker 1: But Eric was a plus thirty nine dirty year spread. No,
- 1:34:47Speaker 1: I picked that's good. I have you down for Indie. WHOA,
- 1:34:50Speaker 1: where's Indie? Where's Indie? Where's Indie? No? I have Vegas.
- 1:34:55Speaker 1: I had you down for Indie. You were wrong. No,
- 1:34:58Speaker 1: we'll have to go back to the t I'm not
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: and I'm not doing it, so Matt might be able to. Sorry,
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: Matt is right now, we really got we really gotta hurry,
- 1:35:07Speaker 1: all right, I haven't done, is Indy? It's all right?
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: Oh no, I'm sorry, I'm looking at the wrong side. No,
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: I'm sorry. I have you down in Vegas. So all right, Buffalo, Jacksonville, Tampa, Rams,
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: uh yeah, Detroit, Arizona, Carolina, and Cleveland. What about the
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: Patriots Jacksonville? Oh yeah, yeah, because you lost the Jackson Cleveland, Right, yeah,
- 1:35:35Speaker 1: I had that mark. All right? Well let all right,
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: right one, I'm ready, I'm ready. All right, there's no
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: Thursday night game. Um, we're gonna go to Saturday at
- 1:35:45Speaker 1: four thirty enough handle, that's that's straight up against the sprint.
- 1:35:52Speaker 1: H Kansas City eleven and five at Denverse seven and nine. Duce.
- 1:35:58Speaker 1: He described Kansas Arizona game from last week. Okay, thank you.
- 1:36:03Speaker 1: What do you got? Kansas City at Denver? Kansas City
- 1:36:06Speaker 1: at Denver, Kansas City by ten and a half? Wow,
- 1:36:10Speaker 1: ten and a half? Who's playing? Who's not? I'm gonna
- 1:36:12Speaker 1: take Kansas City to win, but I think Denver's got
- 1:36:14Speaker 1: a pretty good defense this year. I'm gonna take to
- 1:36:16Speaker 1: Denver's with the points. When did you record those spreads
- 1:36:21Speaker 1: Paul today? Okay, so that from today's paper. Wow, this
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: is the first thing we've ever had a sheet with
- 1:36:26Speaker 1: no spreads due I know that's my fault. So Kansas
- 1:36:29Speaker 1: City indicative of wee he took the points. Yeah, right,
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: deuced Kansas City. He took the point is a week.
- 1:36:35Speaker 1: We got to stay on this because this discrepancy is
- 1:36:38Speaker 1: on the picks and I'm not going to deal with this.
- 1:36:40Speaker 1: I have one more I will tell you right now, Sean,
- 1:36:43Speaker 1: be keeping track of the scores next week. If I'm
- 1:36:44Speaker 1: going to get this kind of static, I'll take I'll
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: take Kansas City to win. I don't know what they're
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: doing as far as playing players or anything like that. Um,
- 1:36:57Speaker 1: so I will take the points just for that reason alone.
- 1:37:01Speaker 1: I think they're gonna be a lot of close games
- 1:37:02Speaker 1: this week because there's a lot of uncertainty with rosters
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: and what teams are playing for. Yeah, so Casey to
- 1:37:08Speaker 1: win Denver covers, I will take Ksey both ways. Yeah. See,
- 1:37:13Speaker 1: this is the week where you have to listen to
- 1:37:15Speaker 1: the touts because they know something. So if they give
- 1:37:18Speaker 1: you a big spread like that, listen, Casey both ways? Okay,
- 1:37:25Speaker 1: So updating Eric's record at one one forty nine one
- 1:37:29Speaker 1: O four three. He takes it. Eric takes it very
- 1:37:32Speaker 1: very serious, which is why I'm updating. We all. We
- 1:37:36Speaker 1: all have our we all have our opening lines with
- 1:37:38Speaker 1: the women. Eric says, did you know that I won
- 1:37:41Speaker 1: the contest two years in a row? No, The line
- 1:37:43Speaker 1: is did you take Kansas City? No? Fred, The line is,
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: I'm good with the spread? Oh? Did you take Kansas
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: City both ways? Paul? Okay? Um Saturday, I wanted to
- 1:37:52Speaker 1: make sure I got that down. We're gonna be way
- 1:37:55Speaker 1: behind John twenty two minutes fifty. What are we on Dallas?
- 1:38:01Speaker 1: Who's Dallas at philadelph Dallas eleven and five at Philly
- 1:38:05Speaker 1: nine and seven. Saturday eight fifteen, Dallas by seven, Dallas
- 1:38:11Speaker 1: by seven. I'm not really sure again what they're doing.
- 1:38:16Speaker 1: I'm gonna take anyone. I'm gonna take Philadelphia at home,
- 1:38:19Speaker 1: and I will I will lay the points. Dallas wrapped
- 1:38:22Speaker 1: up the division, right, yes? Yeah? And Philly is in
- 1:38:28Speaker 1: as well. Yes, they've they've already clinched. It's only San
- 1:38:31Speaker 1: Francisco and New Orleans who are fighting for a spot there. Correct, Um,
- 1:38:35Speaker 1: I'll take the better team, that's Dallas, but I don't
- 1:38:37Speaker 1: trust them, so i'll take the points. I'll take Dallas
- 1:38:40Speaker 1: both ways. This is where you do take the points.
- 1:38:43Speaker 1: Dallas wins, but Philadelphia covers. Sunday at one, green Bay
- 1:38:48Speaker 1: thirteen and three at Detroit two thirteen and one. Might
- 1:38:52Speaker 1: want to pay attention to this spread, Freddie green Bay
- 1:38:55Speaker 1: by three and a half. Oh, what do they know?
- 1:38:59Speaker 1: What do they know? It's like lighting the mat, really,
- 1:39:03Speaker 1: really is what they I think they know the Packers
- 1:39:05Speaker 1: are gonna win. I'll take the Pack and lay the points.
- 1:39:09Speaker 1: Go Pack, go both ways. Yeah, I'll take green Bay
- 1:39:13Speaker 1: both ways. Is Rogers playing? Don't know? Doesn't that spread
- 1:39:18Speaker 1: say he's not well? It says that they don't have
- 1:39:22Speaker 1: anything to play? Yeah? Yeah, but you know Jordan Loves
- 1:39:25Speaker 1: got something to prove if he gets in there, right,
- 1:39:27Speaker 1: I'll assume he is, and I'll take the Packers both ways.
- 1:39:30Speaker 1: Can't pick Detroit on the road. Oh they're they're into
- 1:39:32Speaker 1: They're in Detroit Sunday at one, indeed nine and seven
- 1:39:37Speaker 1: at Jacksonville two and fourteen, Indie by fifteen and a half.
- 1:39:40Speaker 1: Oh my goodness. Yeah, Indy needs this one. I'm gonna
- 1:39:44Speaker 1: take Indie and I will lay every one of those
- 1:39:46Speaker 1: fifteen and a half points. Two weeks in a row,
- 1:39:48Speaker 1: the Jags are favor underdogs by fifteen and a half.
- 1:39:51Speaker 1: What does that tell you? Indie definitely needs this though,
- 1:39:54Speaker 1: right yea, So I will take the clots uh to win? Um, yeah,
- 1:40:04Speaker 1: I'll lay it, I guess because if they didn't have
- 1:40:06Speaker 1: anything to play for last week, why would they have
- 1:40:08Speaker 1: anything to play for this week? Right? Yeah, I'm gonna
- 1:40:10Speaker 1: take Indy both ways, but it's a lot of points.
- 1:40:12Speaker 1: I'm gonna take it. I'm gonna lay the points, but
- 1:40:14Speaker 1: I'm not feeling not gonna like it. I just think
- 1:40:17Speaker 1: it's hard to predict a team to lose like that
- 1:40:19Speaker 1: two weeks in a row. But I'm gonna do it, right, Oh,
- 1:40:23Speaker 1: it's uh, just for the hell of it, I'm gonna
- 1:40:26Speaker 1: take the points. But Indie wins Sunday at one Washington
- 1:40:30Speaker 1: six and ten against the Battling Judges four and twelve
- 1:40:36Speaker 1: Washington by seven. Wow. The Red Wolves, the Red Something's.
- 1:40:42Speaker 1: I'm gonna take the Red Somethings. I'll lay the seven points.
- 1:40:44Speaker 1: The Red somethings. That'd be a great nickname. I don't
- 1:40:48Speaker 1: know something it's the locals like guy with his hands
- 1:40:51Speaker 1: up in the air, I don't know. Um, I'll take
- 1:40:53Speaker 1: the red somethings as well. It's not gonna end well
- 1:40:56Speaker 1: for Joe Judge there, whether it's this year or next year,
- 1:40:59Speaker 1: he's it's I feel bad all due respect to Christmas
- 1:41:01Speaker 1: and respect to Christmas Christmas for a little while. I'm
- 1:41:06Speaker 1: gonna take Washington. I'm gonna lay Yeah, me too, have
- 1:41:10Speaker 1: much of a feel for that one. They don't have
- 1:41:11Speaker 1: to worry about their stadium falling apart and falling on
- 1:41:14Speaker 1: peoples was scary. They put some zip ties up. I saw,
- 1:41:17Speaker 1: I saw they they like, you know the quarterback they
- 1:41:19Speaker 1: do blank and Jalen Hurts for the letter, Yeah, what
- 1:41:23Speaker 1: are you gonna do? And then I saw yesterday someone
- 1:41:25Speaker 1: put on Twitter like they literally had like plastic zip
- 1:41:27Speaker 1: ties like holding it back together. Now that's that's what
- 1:41:30Speaker 1: they've done. Yeah, well, I'm sure they're gonna but yeah,
- 1:41:33Speaker 1: it's funny as you see it. I did not see it.
- 1:41:37Speaker 1: Going down to the tunnel as Jalen Hurts was coming off.
- 1:41:39Speaker 1: There are a bunch of fans leaning over. Oh, probably
- 1:41:43Speaker 1: about a dozen or so people. No, no, really hurt. Yeah,
- 1:41:48Speaker 1: that's like the worst stadium, right, that's but the Zip Ties.
- 1:41:50Speaker 1: I thought you said that I see the Zip Tie.
- 1:41:51Speaker 1: Did not see the Zip Ties. Not any worse than No,
- 1:41:54Speaker 1: it's it's one of the worst New Werst stadiums. I'll
- 1:41:56Speaker 1: say that. Yeah. Um, Sunday at one Chicago six and
- 1:42:01Speaker 1: ten at Minnesota seven and nine. Uh, Minnesota by three
- 1:42:05Speaker 1: and a half. So no, justin fields, that's what you
- 1:42:08Speaker 1: guys are saying. Well, yeah, because of COVID. Uh yeah,
- 1:42:13Speaker 1: I'll take Minnesota. I'll lay the points. Red Rifle is starting,
- 1:42:15Speaker 1: then the Red Something maybe that Red Something he's he's
- 1:42:20Speaker 1: the starter. I don't know, but I would I would
- 1:42:22Speaker 1: assume on Chicago. Um, I'll take I'll take Chicago, Yeah,
- 1:42:30Speaker 1: I will take I will take Minnesota. Um I would
- 1:42:33Speaker 1: have taken the Bears if Outfields were playing. Yeah, right,
- 1:42:36Speaker 1: Minnesota myself. Uh. Sunday at one Tennessee eleven and five
- 1:42:41Speaker 1: at Houston four and twelve. Taken a road team so far,
- 1:42:45Speaker 1: you took Minnesota, Freddie Yeah, yeah. And what's this game?
- 1:42:50Speaker 1: Tennessee Tennessee at Tennessee by ten ten See. I'm gonna
- 1:42:56Speaker 1: take Tennessee. Just gets worse than every single day. Man,
- 1:43:01Speaker 1: I'm gonna take Tennessee. I will I will lay those
- 1:43:03Speaker 1: ten points. Even though Houston is gonna pipe, I'm gonna
- 1:43:09Speaker 1: do the same. I've picked all road teams so far.
- 1:43:12Speaker 1: This is crazy, but I'll take the Titans on the road.
- 1:43:14Speaker 1: They want to keep that number one. C two is
- 1:43:16Speaker 1: this is crazy, this is crazy. This is crazy, this
- 1:43:18Speaker 1: is crazy. Uh yeah, I'll take Tennessee both ways. They
- 1:43:22Speaker 1: need the game. Yeah, I think Tennessee easily wins this game,
- 1:43:27Speaker 1: so I will take it. You will lay it correct,
- 1:43:31Speaker 1: lay it. Yeah, he said they were gonna win easy,
- 1:43:34Speaker 1: So I put him down for Tennis. Sunday at one
- 1:43:37Speaker 1: Pittsburgh eight, seven and one at Baltimore eight and eight,
- 1:43:41Speaker 1: Baltimore by five and a half. M hmm, Big Ben,
- 1:43:47Speaker 1: final trip to Baltimore. Uh, I don't know. I'm gonna
- 1:43:51Speaker 1: take Baltimore. I'll lay the I'll lay the points. Yeah,
- 1:43:54Speaker 1: my first home team i'm picking in this week, I'll
- 1:43:56Speaker 1: take the Ravens. The Steelers had their big emotional game
- 1:43:59Speaker 1: last week. They're not gonna have enough juice to go
- 1:44:00Speaker 1: to Baltimore. And win this one. The that's the Ravens.
- 1:44:05Speaker 1: I agree with Eric, the emotion was drained Monday night. Yeah,
- 1:44:08Speaker 1: here's where I separate. Uh, Baltimore wins, but they do
- 1:44:12Speaker 1: not cover. So I'll take this game. Huh. I'll take
- 1:44:17Speaker 1: those points. Uh, Sunday at one, the final Sunday at
- 1:44:21Speaker 1: one game Cincinnati ten and six at Cleveland seven and nine.
- 1:44:27Speaker 1: Cleveland by six six, So it's only seven one o'clock games.
- 1:44:35Speaker 1: Not much of a red zone day for now. Sorry, No,
- 1:44:39Speaker 1: this is a real tough game. Um, Mayfield's not playing
- 1:44:41Speaker 1: right fields not playing you know. I'm just gonna go
- 1:44:45Speaker 1: with Cleveland. Call it a hunch. I think I think
- 1:44:49Speaker 1: they win. Their band of backups defeat the Bengals of backups. Ye,
- 1:44:55Speaker 1: I'll take I'll take the Brownies at home just because
- 1:44:59Speaker 1: I think who is it? Keys Kanamy comes in. But yeah,
- 1:45:04Speaker 1: I'll take them to win at home. But I'm gonna
- 1:45:07Speaker 1: uh cover myself here and take the since he points,
- 1:45:10Speaker 1: because who knows what who's going to be out there day,
- 1:45:15Speaker 1: I'll do the same thing. Uh. I'll take Cleveland to win,
- 1:45:18Speaker 1: but I'll take the points. I'll take Cleveland both ways. Okay,
- 1:45:21Speaker 1: all right, Yeah, you do that. Uh, Sunday four twenty five,
- 1:45:25Speaker 1: San Francisco nine and seven at the Lar twelve and
- 1:45:30Speaker 1: four the Lar by four, Lar by four. I'm gonna
- 1:45:34Speaker 1: take the Lar. I will lay the four. I think
- 1:45:38Speaker 1: they're poised for for a pretty good little plaofform. We'll see.
- 1:45:40Speaker 1: We have any update on Jimmy g status in that game.
- 1:45:43Speaker 1: I think he practiced yesterday but was limited. Yeah, San
- 1:45:47Speaker 1: fran desperately needs it. Rams are still like they can't
- 1:45:51Speaker 1: get the number one, obviously because Green Bay's got that.
- 1:45:53Speaker 1: But there's still kind of some jockey jockeying for the Tampa,
- 1:45:58Speaker 1: but also in the division like Arizona could always right right,
- 1:46:01Speaker 1: So if the Rams lose in Arizona wins, okay, so
- 1:46:04Speaker 1: they gotta play. So I will. I think the Lar
- 1:46:07Speaker 1: wins this at home and I will lay there. Stafford
- 1:46:10Speaker 1: needs to rebound because he's been Yeah he hasn't been
- 1:46:12Speaker 1: great of late. He has. Yeah, I will take the
- 1:46:14Speaker 1: Rams also, but I am the Niners need the game,
- 1:46:19Speaker 1: Yeah they do, so I mean I'll just take the Rams.
- 1:46:21Speaker 1: I'll take the Rams as well. Plus they got killed.
- 1:46:24Speaker 1: The Rams got killed by the Niners in that Monday
- 1:46:26Speaker 1: night game. Yeah. Sunday four, twenty five, Carolina five and
- 1:46:30Speaker 1: eleven at Tampa Bay twelve and four, Tampa by eight.
- 1:46:36Speaker 1: I'm gonna I'm gonna take Tampa by eight. Antonio Brown
- 1:46:39Speaker 1: drama auditioned by subtraction for that team. I just yeah,
- 1:46:43Speaker 1: they got Tom Brady matters. Um, it's amazing. How that's
- 1:46:47Speaker 1: still a thing. Yeah, yes it is. You have Tom
- 1:46:51Speaker 1: Brady and you're probably gonna win. Bucks will win. Um, Okay,
- 1:46:59Speaker 1: I'll lay the eight. Yeah, me too. I don't feel
- 1:47:02Speaker 1: great about me too. I'll lay the eight. Tampa Bay covers.
- 1:47:06Speaker 1: Sunday four, twenty five, Seattle six and ten at Arizona
- 1:47:11Speaker 1: eleven and five, Arizona by six and a half. Six
- 1:47:14Speaker 1: and a half. A nice chance for Arizona, I think
- 1:47:18Speaker 1: to put a nice little button on their season. And
- 1:47:20Speaker 1: and like you said, jockeying for position there in the
- 1:47:22Speaker 1: NFC West, I will take Arizona, will lay the points.
- 1:47:25Speaker 1: I'll take the cards as well. I don't like the
- 1:47:27Speaker 1: way they've played at home this year. For a team
- 1:47:29Speaker 1: with a as good a record as they have in
- 1:47:31Speaker 1: the position that they're in, they've not played well at home.
- 1:47:34Speaker 1: I'm gonna take them, though, because they do need it
- 1:47:36Speaker 1: to try to keep pace with the lar and the
- 1:47:38Speaker 1: other teams up there. I'll lay there six and a
- 1:47:48Speaker 1: half two. I think they have to put it together.
- 1:47:50Speaker 1: They have to. I don't think Seattle has anything to
- 1:47:53Speaker 1: plays why he's winning. He puts thought into it. Yeah,
- 1:47:56Speaker 1: he takes a moment it just think about it. It
- 1:47:58Speaker 1: just came to me actually winning. I will take Arizona,
- 1:48:02Speaker 1: but I'll take the points game Arizona both ways. In
- 1:48:06Speaker 1: this game. Uh. Sunday four twenty five, Nolans eight and
- 1:48:10Speaker 1: eight at Atlanta seven and nine. The big game h
- 1:48:13Speaker 1: New Orleans by four and a half. New Orleans wins
- 1:48:18Speaker 1: and San Francisco loses. New Orleans is incorrect, very likely
- 1:48:21Speaker 1: two four and a half. Yeah, who's playing quarterback for
- 1:48:27Speaker 1: that's the question, right, I'm gonna do it for New Orleans.
- 1:48:29Speaker 1: On I'm gonna do what you do, Taysom Hill. Maybe
- 1:48:34Speaker 1: if you did them a rougher, you wouldn't be in
- 1:48:35Speaker 1: last dude, New Orleans. Um, we don't know who New
- 1:48:42Speaker 1: Orleans quarterback is? Right? Is that where Taysom Hill? No,
- 1:48:44Speaker 1: it is Taysom Hill. He played last week. Okay, I
- 1:48:47Speaker 1: wasn't sure what was going on with the quest situation
- 1:48:51Speaker 1: unless they're faking or COVID like the Bengals are. New
- 1:48:54Speaker 1: Orleans needs it, so I will give it to them.
- 1:48:57Speaker 1: I don't trust them, so I'll take the four and
- 1:48:59Speaker 1: a half. Yeah, i will take Atlanta to win this
- 1:49:02Speaker 1: game outright and knock New Orleans out of the playoffs.
- 1:49:05Speaker 1: I think Atlanta hates New Orleans and they will play
- 1:49:09Speaker 1: this game hard and effort to do so. Yeah. Uh.
- 1:49:12Speaker 1: New Orleans defense travels and they does, and they cover.
- 1:49:16Speaker 1: The offense does two and they cover. So New Orleans
- 1:49:19Speaker 1: both ways. Sunday four twenty five, the New Jersey Jets.
- 1:49:24Speaker 1: But but this week, out of respect, I am gonna
- 1:49:29Speaker 1: call them the New York Jets because we are all
- 1:49:33Speaker 1: Jets fans. In tonight, the Jets the Bills first cigarette
- 1:49:38Speaker 1: Jets four and twelve at Buffalo ten and six. Oh,
- 1:49:42Speaker 1: you're done, un how much? Sixteen and nineteen? Buffalo by six.
- 1:49:50Speaker 1: That's that's too many, that's too much, too much. I'm
- 1:49:52Speaker 1: gonna take Buffalo win. I'm gonna take those points though,
- 1:49:55Speaker 1: because why not? Um yeah, I mean, Buffalo does win
- 1:50:00Speaker 1: the game, but you're right, D side, I can't trust
- 1:50:04Speaker 1: him to do that. I'll take the sixteen and a half.
- 1:50:08Speaker 1: At some point, they got to play a good game.
- 1:50:09Speaker 1: I'll just take it. For the playoffs. The Jets with
- 1:50:13Speaker 1: their head ball coach and their bald head coach, win
- 1:50:15Speaker 1: this game outright. Jets do it. They do it. This
- 1:50:20Speaker 1: is why he loses, because he picks with his heart.
- 1:50:22Speaker 1: I can't I can't wait to see if the Patriots
- 1:50:25Speaker 1: are gonna end up winning the AFC East. Now we'll
- 1:50:28Speaker 1: have to see what picks because we're gonna skip over
- 1:50:33Speaker 1: the make it wait wait for it, and we're gonna
- 1:50:36Speaker 1: go Sunday Night, eight, twenty twenty on the Chargers at
- 1:50:43Speaker 1: nine and seven at the Raiders at nine and seven,
- 1:50:47Speaker 1: Chargers by three. And what in essence is a winner
- 1:50:51Speaker 1: go home game. Yeah, kind kind of a playoff and
- 1:50:53Speaker 1: almost go home. Yeah, tough one. It's seen a little
- 1:50:57Speaker 1: bit of each of these teams this year, obviously the Chargers,
- 1:51:00Speaker 1: and it's just so up and down, and you like Herbert,
- 1:51:03Speaker 1: but he makes some mistakes and they got guys and
- 1:51:06Speaker 1: had some injuries like Vegas at home. Respect what Car
- 1:51:10Speaker 1: has done this year in the face of a lot
- 1:51:12Speaker 1: of adversity of the But I think I'm gonna go
- 1:51:15Speaker 1: with the Chargers. I'm gonna go with the lac on
- 1:51:17Speaker 1: the road. Justin Herbert they get in the playoffs. I agree,
- 1:51:21Speaker 1: by and large, I felt like the Chargers have somewhat
- 1:51:24Speaker 1: underachieved this year based on the potential that they have,
- 1:51:27Speaker 1: and the Raiders with all the nonsense going on there
- 1:51:31Speaker 1: a little bit overachieved given all the stuff they've gone through.
- 1:51:34Speaker 1: But I think in the final analysis, the Chargers are
- 1:51:37Speaker 1: the better team, so I will take them to win
- 1:51:39Speaker 1: this game. This could be a thriller like last week
- 1:51:42Speaker 1: with the Bengals and the Chiefs, could come down to
- 1:51:45Speaker 1: the very end, but I'll take the Charges to win.
- 1:51:47Speaker 1: I'm gonna take the Chargers too. But I think it's
- 1:51:49Speaker 1: really a coin flip. I think these teams are very
- 1:51:51Speaker 1: evenly matched. Chargers are in the oven and I opened
- 1:51:55Speaker 1: the door. They look in, they see they're not ready.
- 1:51:58Speaker 1: Close the door. Raiders win. Oh, I thought you were
- 1:52:00Speaker 1: gonna say they were done. That's what I thought he
- 1:52:02Speaker 1: was gonna say, They're just not would have been funny. Yeah,
- 1:52:05Speaker 1: they need a little they need a little bit front
- 1:52:07Speaker 1: of it. They need a little bit more time in
- 1:52:08Speaker 1: the oven. That'll come next year. He did. He had
- 1:52:12Speaker 1: a great analogy, and he didn't bring it all the
- 1:52:14Speaker 1: way home. You know how you? Yes, we know you.
- 1:52:18Speaker 1: It's not ready though, they're not ready yet. Raiders win
- 1:52:21Speaker 1: at home? All right? Okay, now we go back to
- 1:52:25Speaker 1: four twenty five, New England ten and six, the Patriots
- 1:52:30Speaker 1: eight and eight, Patriots by six and a half minus six?
- 1:52:35Speaker 1: What do they know? What? What do they know? Do
- 1:52:37Speaker 1: they know? What do they see? What do the sharps know?
- 1:52:42Speaker 1: I think this will be uh. I think I expect
- 1:52:44Speaker 1: Miami to at least play hard for the first half.
- 1:52:46Speaker 1: I think it will be a close game. Um. I
- 1:52:48Speaker 1: think they're they're two pretty closely matched teams. Um. I
- 1:52:51Speaker 1: think New England pulls away late twenty four fourteen. Yeah,
- 1:52:56Speaker 1: I agree, there's there's probabe on the line for the Dolphins.
- 1:52:58Speaker 1: They have a good coach who doesn't want to be
- 1:53:01Speaker 1: embarrassed by his former clubs, So the guys that he
- 1:53:03Speaker 1: puts out there will will put up a fight in
- 1:53:05Speaker 1: the Uh for the most part, that's the way this.
- 1:53:08Speaker 1: The score will indicate that. But I agree New England
- 1:53:11Speaker 1: does eventually take care of their business twenty eight seventeen,
- 1:53:15Speaker 1: so they win and cover. Yeah, I don't think Miami
- 1:53:19Speaker 1: is going to have their hearts in this game. I
- 1:53:21Speaker 1: think they might be some plays here or there that
- 1:53:24Speaker 1: they compete, but I don't think it'll be a game
- 1:53:27Speaker 1: that goes down to the fourth quarter. Patriots win twenty
- 1:53:30Speaker 1: six thirteen. Uh, obviously I'm picking the Patriots, chaka right,
- 1:53:37Speaker 1: because otherwise Jets win. Let me reopen that folder and
- 1:53:42Speaker 1: redo the pick that I had written. But we really
- 1:53:44Speaker 1: got to hurry otherwise, you know, the Jets win means nothing,
- 1:53:47Speaker 1: So you have to you have to complete the what
- 1:53:50Speaker 1: do they call it? The parlay? Yes? Is that a parlay? Yes?
- 1:53:53Speaker 1: Two teams? Yeah, two teams? Yeah, So I'm betting a
- 1:53:56Speaker 1: two team parlay. He got a good he got a
- 1:53:58Speaker 1: correct betting parlance. He didn't, but he doesn't have to
- 1:54:01Speaker 1: spreads involved or anything. You've done good, Okay, you've done.
- 1:54:05Speaker 1: My parlay comes to fruition and the Patriots win and
- 1:54:10Speaker 1: the score is twenty seven thirteen. Twenty seven thirteen, so
- 1:54:15Speaker 1: they went by uh fourteen points. I like that. Yeah, yes, yeah,
- 1:54:21Speaker 1: I got my fantasy. Next I think I'll go home, sure, sure, yeah, yeah,
- 1:54:26Speaker 1: all right. That's it for this edition of Patriots Unfiltered
- 1:54:29Speaker 1: I apologize for early John rook in the playbook is
- 1:54:34Speaker 1: coming up next? Pregame Social starts at two yes on Sunday,
