Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Yeah, this is the Mark Simon Show on seven to ten.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Wo Hey, I gotta lot to get to today. How
- 0:12Speaker 2: much longer? In Iran, We'll tell you Savannah Guthrie very
- 0:16Speaker 2: very moving moving stuff in her interview. We'll get to
- 0:21Speaker 2: meta Facebook YouTube lost a blockbuster lawsuit. This could spell
- 0:29Speaker 2: a real, real trouble for them if they don't get
- 0:32Speaker 2: this turned around. We'll get to Florida. How come Democrats
- 0:36Speaker 2: are suddenly winning in Florida. We'll get to Tis James.
- 0:39Speaker 2: New charges coming against her, new criminal referrals are coming.
- 0:44Speaker 2: It's Mets opening day, to day, city field, Mets opening day,
- 0:48Speaker 2: Baseball season, easters right around the corner, and we got
- 0:53Speaker 2: hang on to Gona sneeze again. Allerg allergies. It's the
- 1:00Speaker 2: worst couple of days of allergies, driving us crazy. But
- 1:07Speaker 2: hopefully this goes away after a few more days. Curtis
- 1:09Speaker 2: sounds like he's got allergies. I sound like I got it.
- 1:12Speaker 2: It's terrible, but so Iran figure two and a half
- 1:16Speaker 2: more weeks. That's the word, two and a half more weeks.
- 1:18Speaker 2: They want to wrap it up. The President wants to
- 1:20Speaker 2: wrap it up, notw to wrap it up. You're going
- 1:22Speaker 2: to have to have one final massive strike, massive way
- 1:28Speaker 2: beyond anything we've done so far. So they're planning that
- 1:32Speaker 2: very carefully. There will be one monstrous monsters strike, just
- 1:35Speaker 2: take out everything military, every offensive capability they have. That'll
- 1:40Speaker 2: happen at the end. We are negotiating. At the same time.
- 1:44Speaker 2: As we've been telling you there's a third party. We
- 1:47Speaker 2: can now tell you it's Pakistan. They've been negotiating through.
- 1:50Speaker 2: Pakistan has been the intermediary between the US and Iran.
- 1:54Speaker 2: They're far apart on terms, but that's always the case
- 1:57Speaker 2: in the beginning. The war continues. The only criticism this
- 2:01Speaker 2: is not an economical war because we've taken out all
- 2:04Speaker 2: the big stuff that Iran has and they're down to
- 2:06Speaker 2: their drones, and they've been using these drones. These are
- 2:10Speaker 2: very sophisticated drones, long range drones. They cost about thirty
- 2:14Speaker 2: thousand apiece, and we've taken out just about everyone, like
- 2:18Speaker 2: ninety five percent of them we strike down. However, we
- 2:23Speaker 2: do it with a missile that costs about a million dollars.
- 2:26Speaker 2: So for every thirty thousand dollars drone we not got,
- 2:29Speaker 2: it costs US a million to knock it out. But
- 2:32Speaker 2: it's well worth it. It's well worth it. He also
- 2:34Speaker 2: forgot to mention Jimmy Kimmel getting in all kinds of trouble.
- 2:38Speaker 2: You know, Jimmy Kimmel when he first came along, was
- 2:40Speaker 2: on that sports show, The Man Show. This show is
- 2:44Speaker 2: some sort of blue collar, you know, average guy. And
- 2:50Speaker 2: now he became this elitist Hollywood figure, this total elitist,
- 2:56Speaker 2: and as any elitist democrat does, he just down people.
- 3:00Speaker 2: You know, they pretend they're fighting with the little guy.
- 3:02Speaker 2: Meantime they hate the little guy. So Mark Wayne Mullen
- 3:06Speaker 2: gets confirmed as the new head of Homeland Security and
- 3:12Speaker 2: Kimmel goes off on him in the monologue two Nights
- 3:16Speaker 2: Ago about it. He's a plumber. Before he was in Congress,
- 3:19Speaker 2: he was a plumber. Well actually, you know, he was
- 3:22Speaker 2: a famous for wrestling, but he did I don't know
- 3:25Speaker 2: if he was an actual plumber. He did start a
- 3:27Speaker 2: plumbing business and it grew. He really built it into
- 3:32Speaker 2: some big business down there. You know, it's one little
- 3:34Speaker 2: plumbing company and then it became a whole bunch of them,
- 3:37Speaker 2: so very successful plumbing business. But Kimmel putting him down.
- 3:40Speaker 2: It's just a plumber. Can you imagine putting a plumber
- 3:44Speaker 2: in charge of homeland security was the way he said it,
- 3:46Speaker 2: a plumber, as if as if that's the lowest thing
- 3:50Speaker 2: on earth. Well, the idea of the Democratic Party was there. Therefore,
- 3:55Speaker 2: the working man, the working guy, the factory worker, the
- 3:58Speaker 2: blue collar guy. Remember Biden pretending all those years to
- 4:03Speaker 2: be lunch bucket Joe or whatever. He was that fake
- 4:05Speaker 2: every man. So Kim will get in a lot of
- 4:08Speaker 2: flack everywhere for putting down the working people like that
- 4:12Speaker 2: just looked awful. Savannah Guthrie, the interview has been playing
- 4:16Speaker 2: today and tomorrow, very very moving. She's crying Hoda Cottpy's interviewer,
- 4:23Speaker 2: or she's crying. I didn't realize the house that her
- 4:27Speaker 2: mother lived in, that's been the family house forever. In fact,
- 4:30Speaker 2: it's the house Savannah Guthrie grew up and they moved
- 4:33Speaker 2: there when she was four years old. It's the house
- 4:35Speaker 2: she always lived in. And she said she just can't
- 4:37Speaker 2: go in it now. It's too many nightmares in there.
- 4:39Speaker 2: Here's a bit of the interview.
- 4:41Speaker 1: Someone needs to do the right thing.
- 4:45Speaker 3: We are in agony, Yeah, we are in agony.
- 4:52Speaker 1: It is unbearable to think of what she went through.
- 5:02Speaker 2: Now, I can imagine her pain, but I don't know.
- 5:04Speaker 2: I mean, I understand NBC's a business and they do
- 5:07Speaker 2: it for ratings, But should you be exploiting this agony
- 5:10Speaker 2: like that, filming it, breaking it up at two part series?
- 5:14Speaker 2: You shouldn't be exploiting this. And you're watching her in it,
- 5:18Speaker 2: just torturous pain. And then a month from now she's
- 5:23Speaker 2: gonna come back to the Today Show. And what is
- 5:25Speaker 2: she going to do is go back to being herself
- 5:26Speaker 2: now with the weather here's so it's not gonna look right,
- 5:31Speaker 2: here's more of it.
- 5:31Speaker 4: I wake up.
- 5:32Speaker 3: Every night, in the middle of the night, every night,
- 5:40Speaker 3: and in the darkness, I imagine her terror and it
- 5:51Speaker 3: is unthinkable. But those thoughts demand to be thought and well.
- 6:05Speaker 1: That she needs to come home now.
- 6:08Speaker 2: Yeah, she does. In all the interview, all these interviews,
- 6:12Speaker 2: she talks about her mother in the present tense. It
- 6:15Speaker 2: was hard to be hard to believe that the mother
- 6:17Speaker 2: is still alive a couple of months later, without her medicine,
- 6:20Speaker 2: without you know, that's hard problems. So but again you
- 6:25Speaker 2: listen to her in this pain and this agony, and
- 6:28Speaker 2: it's going to be hard for her to go back
- 6:30Speaker 2: to work and just say it's not I mean, how's
- 6:34Speaker 2: she going to do it? I guess you can pull
- 6:36Speaker 2: yourself together. They were talking about April tenth, but that's
- 6:39Speaker 2: not far away. I don't know if she makes it
- 6:41Speaker 2: back by April tenth. A couple of things she revealed
- 6:45Speaker 2: the house. When they first went to the house, the
- 6:47Speaker 2: back doors of the house had been propped open. The
- 6:51Speaker 2: back doors of the house had been propped open. Mother
- 6:53Speaker 2: wasn't there. That thought maybe there was some medical emergency,
- 6:57Speaker 2: and paramedics came and took her through the back door
- 7:00Speaker 2: on it maybe a stretcher, that's why they opened the
- 7:01Speaker 2: back door. But they saw the mother's phone was there,
- 7:04Speaker 2: her Apple watch, her purse, everything was there. So they
- 7:08Speaker 2: couldn't figure out what happened. They finally called the police,
- 7:11Speaker 2: and then they said it was all chaos. You know,
- 7:13Speaker 2: these local police, local Arizona police, not the most efficient
- 7:19Speaker 2: in the world. All the ransom notes, she believes they
- 7:24Speaker 2: were all fake. There's two that she thinks could possibly
- 7:28Speaker 2: have been real, but she believes all the other notes
- 7:31Speaker 2: just total fakes, people trying to cash in. And then
- 7:36Speaker 2: she did say at one point she's tormented by the
- 7:40Speaker 2: idea that it was because of her her mother got kidnapped.
- 7:43Speaker 2: Maybe the kidnapper thought the daughter's famous, she's got a
- 7:45Speaker 2: lot of money. Maybe that's a good target. So that
- 7:48Speaker 2: she said, will just haunt her forever. But tough to
- 7:52Speaker 2: watch that interview. It's very tough to watch it. So now, hey,
- 7:56Speaker 2: in Florida, in Palm Beach, you know, a little congressional
- 8:01Speaker 2: race the Democrat wins. This is Palm Beach, this is
- 8:05Speaker 2: mar A Lago, this is Trump's hometown. But it's happening
- 8:09Speaker 2: more and more in Florida, where Democrats are suddenly winning
- 8:12Speaker 2: where they don't usually win, where they never won before.
- 8:15Speaker 2: There are a couple of congressional races Democrats have won in Florida,
- 8:18Speaker 2: surprising everybody. In Miami, for the first time in a
- 8:22Speaker 2: million years, they elected a Democrat as mayor of Miami.
- 8:27Speaker 2: Things are changing down there. Know why is this? Well,
- 8:30Speaker 2: you know they say everybody's moving to Miami. Everybody's all
- 8:34Speaker 2: the New Yorkers, are people of New Jersey, people of
- 8:36Speaker 2: New York people, they're all moving to Miami. Well, those
- 8:39Speaker 2: are mostly Democrats. So you got all these people there
- 8:43Speaker 2: now voting Democrat. Why else would it suddenly be changing.
- 8:46Speaker 2: Why else? I mean, it's always a Republican wins in Miami.
- 8:50Speaker 2: Why is suddenly a Democrat winning? Same thing in Palm Beach?
- 8:53Speaker 2: Always a Republican. Why is it democrat suddenly win? Because
- 8:55Speaker 2: you got all these New Yorkers down there voting now,
- 8:58Speaker 2: and the move down there continues. So if this trend continues,
- 9:05Speaker 2: we have a lot of listeners down there in Florida.
- 9:07Speaker 2: You may be living in a democratic estate pretty soon.
- 9:10Speaker 2: You may be living in democratic city pretty soon. And
- 9:13Speaker 2: those Democrats, you know what they do. They like to
- 9:15Speaker 2: tax you to death, They like to drive your nuts
- 9:18Speaker 2: with all kinds of crazy stuff could be happening down there. So, hey,
- 9:24Speaker 2: Maduro goes to court today. The Venezuelan leader been in
- 9:28Speaker 2: prison since January. That's like three months he's been sitting there.
- 9:31Speaker 2: But he goes into court today. If you've been locked
- 9:34Speaker 2: in this dungeon prison for three months, that's like a
- 9:37Speaker 2: great vacation to be taken to court. You get to
- 9:40Speaker 2: ride out in a car, you get to see fresh
- 9:42Speaker 2: air and look out the window, and go to a courtroom.
- 9:44Speaker 2: They got a cafeteria. It's like it's like paradise after
- 9:48Speaker 2: you've been locked in a prison. So let's see what
- 9:51Speaker 2: happens at the end of the day. Facebook companies actually
- 9:55Speaker 2: called meta YouTube. They got a problem, a real serious problem.
- 10:01Speaker 2: So this lawsuit, the twenty year old claims that the
- 10:06Speaker 2: way they set up a Facebook and YouTube and these
- 10:10Speaker 2: sort of things, they designed this algorithm to get you addicted,
- 10:17Speaker 2: and that this twenty year old woman her life was
- 10:19Speaker 2: ruined because she came addicted to Facebook to Google's YouTube.
- 10:26Speaker 2: She went to court, they sued, and she won, and
- 10:30Speaker 2: Facebook was found liable for four point two million in damages. Google,
- 10:34Speaker 2: which is YouTube, found liable for one point eight million.
- 10:39Speaker 2: Now what about Snapchat, what about TikTok? Well, they settled
- 10:42Speaker 2: out of court, which also means millions of dollars. So
- 10:45Speaker 2: this woman's probably got to Muno's ten to fifteen million already.
- 10:50Speaker 2: But what does this mean. If she can get four
- 10:52Speaker 2: million from Facebook, that means everybody can get four million
- 10:54Speaker 2: from Facebook. They got hundreds of millions of users. This
- 10:58Speaker 2: could destroy the bottom line the company. So they're gonna
- 11:01Speaker 2: have to appeal this, They're gonna have to win. This
- 11:04Speaker 2: Los Angeles jury found that this twenty year old woman
- 11:07Speaker 2: was harmed and she became dangerously obsessed at a young
- 11:13Speaker 2: age because the algorithms were deliberately built to be addictive. Now,
- 11:18Speaker 2: what would that mean that you're dangerously obsessed with Facebook?
- 11:23Speaker 2: How dangerous could that be? I mean, I understand if
- 11:26Speaker 2: it's meth or cracker, but I'm dangerously addicted to Facebook.
- 11:30Speaker 2: What's the worst that would happen? It's sit there looking
- 11:32Speaker 2: at Facebook all day? Or YouTube? I would hey, I
- 11:35Speaker 2: could buy I'll probably owed four million. I've become addicted
- 11:38Speaker 2: to YouTube. That's all I watch is YouTube, And I
- 11:42Speaker 2: don't know how dangerous is this algorithm? Like, whatever I watch,
- 11:46Speaker 2: whatever I type in I want to see they figure
- 11:50Speaker 2: all this out and then you know, every time you
- 11:51Speaker 2: sign on YouTube, it just used to be a big
- 11:53Speaker 2: YouTube page. Now it's a page with twenty seven possible
- 11:57Speaker 2: things you could go to on it. And the algorithm
- 12:00Speaker 2: is really good. It knows what I like. It knows
- 12:03Speaker 2: what I like. Sometimes I like to watch Old Tonight
- 12:06Speaker 2: Show Johnny Carson's, so all of a sudden, all you'll
- 12:08Speaker 2: see are these very rare Johnny Carson clips, twenty or
- 12:12Speaker 2: thirty of them when you sign on her. I've been
- 12:15Speaker 2: watching Breaking Bad and then I looked at something on
- 12:18Speaker 2: breaking back. Now I see all these breaking bad things
- 12:20Speaker 2: things I wouldn't even have known about. Breaking bad outtakes
- 12:24Speaker 2: breaking bad behind the scenes. So it is. But is
- 12:29Speaker 2: that wrong? I mean, if you've realized this is what
- 12:33Speaker 2: your customer really likes and you tell them about it.
- 12:36Speaker 2: They do that all the time. You know, if you
- 12:38Speaker 2: go to a store and you buy something all the time,
- 12:41Speaker 2: if you have a really good salesperson, like I'm always
- 12:44Speaker 2: buying this stuff. When they get some new ones in,
- 12:46Speaker 2: the salesperson will call you, hey, we just got a
- 12:48Speaker 2: new ship in them. So I mean, are they getting
- 12:50Speaker 2: it dangerously addicted? I don't know. I don't know. You know,
- 12:56Speaker 2: restaurants they don't do this. Can you imagine restaurants they
- 12:59Speaker 2: figured it out. If you're a regular customer, they figure
- 13:01Speaker 2: out what you love, and then every time you came in,
- 13:03Speaker 2: they brought a tray of a whole selection of it
- 13:05Speaker 2: and waved it under your nose. That's basically what Facebook
- 13:09Speaker 2: and YouTube are doing. But this will end up in
- 13:12Speaker 2: the Supreme Court. It is dangerously addictive, I guess. But
- 13:17Speaker 2: a lot of things are. What's that stupid game? That wordle?
- 13:20Speaker 2: Remember that New York Times wordle? Or that kind of stuff.
- 13:22Speaker 2: Dangerously addictive. Video games are dangerously addictive. I don't know,
- 13:28Speaker 2: I don't know. This is going to be a tough
- 13:31Speaker 2: thing to figure out. Hey, here's some good news.
- 13:33Speaker 3: You know.
- 13:34Speaker 2: You see all these poles, Kathy Hokeles, she's twenty points
- 13:36Speaker 2: ahead of Bruce Blakeman, way ahead of Bruce Blakeman. This
- 13:39Speaker 2: is all these are, these public polls, these cheap college polls,
- 13:43Speaker 2: or these slanted media polls. They're all slanted, rigged. That's
- 13:48Speaker 2: not a you know, an opinion, that's a fact. You
- 13:51Speaker 2: can actually look in the metrics, and the metrics are
- 13:54Speaker 2: all off. They only sam the sample. It's only twenty
- 13:57Speaker 2: three percent. Republicans should be thirty eight percent. They're using
- 14:00Speaker 2: the wrong demo. They're not using likely voters, they're using adults,
- 14:04Speaker 2: which means they pick who they want. There's all these
- 14:07Speaker 2: ways they rig it. But the real polls, which cost
- 14:09Speaker 2: a fortune, the campaigns pay for those. The media is
- 14:14Speaker 2: you know, these media polls, it costs three thousand, four
- 14:17Speaker 2: thousand bucks. The real poles are like a million dollars
- 14:20Speaker 2: a month. There are a lot of money. But in
- 14:23Speaker 2: the real internal polling, apparently Hokal very upset. Bruce Blakeman
- 14:29Speaker 2: is now within single digits. That's from twenty points back.
- 14:32Speaker 2: He's now within single digits now only nine points behind.
- 14:36Speaker 2: This is in the real polls, the private polls, the
- 14:39Speaker 2: real polls. Frightening for Hochel because if he made up
- 14:42Speaker 2: that much ground that fast, that means victory for him. Now,
- 14:49Speaker 2: when he ran in Nassau County is very similar to
- 14:52Speaker 2: New York State demographically, and it's it's more Democrats than Republicans,
- 14:56Speaker 2: and he started their twenty five points behind, but he
- 14:59Speaker 2: won both times, so he's catching up. The poll numbers
- 15:03Speaker 2: look great for him. Hey, we'll take some calls next.
- 15:06Speaker 2: Eight hundred three to two one zero seven ten is
- 15:09Speaker 2: the number. Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
- 15:14Speaker 2: Give war oh, Brie said on the iHeartRadio app to
- 15:18Speaker 2: hear Mark Simone and all the WR hosts in an instance.
- 15:23Speaker 5: Now back to the Mark Simone show on woor.
- 15:28Speaker 2: Hey, let's take some calls. Eight hundred three two one
- 15:31Speaker 2: zero seven ten is the number. Let's go to Jay
- 15:34Speaker 2: in Hudson County. Jay, how you doing?
- 15:37Speaker 6: Hey?
- 15:37Speaker 7: Mark?
- 15:38Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 15:38Speaker 8: What do you think about John Kats and Matities meeting
- 15:41Speaker 8: soul on? You you think that's you know, they're doing
- 15:43Speaker 8: some deal down there with WABC.
- 15:46Speaker 9: No.
- 15:46Speaker 2: Actually they're working on a top secret deal which I
- 15:50Speaker 2: can reveal here. We John and I do the Police
- 15:53Speaker 2: Athletic League. He's the chairman. I'm on the board and
- 15:56Speaker 2: we do these big luncheons every month and every mayor
- 15:58Speaker 2: always speaks, and we've been trying to get the mayor
- 16:01Speaker 2: to speak and keep getting It's difficult working through the staff.
- 16:06Speaker 2: So he actually went to ask him to do that luncheon,
- 16:09Speaker 2: which I think he's agreed to. I'm sure other things
- 16:11Speaker 2: came up. It was a forty minute meeting, but the
- 16:14Speaker 2: main purpose of that was to get them to the luncheon,
- 16:17Speaker 2: and I think we got him silence. All right, Well,
- 16:23Speaker 2: it's all for a good cause. A lot of it
- 16:25Speaker 2: was about the Police Athletic League, which is the best
- 16:27Speaker 2: children's charity in New York, helps minority kids, does a
- 16:31Speaker 2: lot of good and he was very interested to hear
- 16:33Speaker 2: about it. So, see, the one thing you want to
- 16:36Speaker 2: do with these luncheons, it's all top business people CEOs,
- 16:39Speaker 2: and they want to meet. We did one two days
- 16:41Speaker 2: ago fire commissioner new fire commissioner. They want to meet
- 16:44Speaker 2: all the new leaders all and it's good for the
- 16:46Speaker 2: politicians to meet all the business leaders because they need
- 16:49Speaker 2: to know. Most of these guys are their single biggest taxpayers.
- 16:53Speaker 2: And in any business, you want to go talk to
- 16:55Speaker 2: your biggest customers. And if you're the biggest taxpayers, you're
- 16:58Speaker 2: the biggest customers. Let's go to Mike and Florida. Mike,
- 17:01Speaker 2: how you doing, Good.
- 17:03Speaker 8: Morning, Mark, Yes, Mike, this a couple of things. But anyway,
- 17:07Speaker 8: this Facebook thing is kind of a dangerous precedent. But
- 17:10Speaker 8: you know, they said the same thing about rock and roll,
- 17:13Speaker 8: and they said the same thing about FM radio, and
- 17:15Speaker 8: they said the same thing about television that it was
- 17:18Speaker 8: warping the brains of kids and it was addicting them
- 17:21Speaker 8: to these various media sources. And it's a it's a
- 17:25Speaker 8: big lie, you know. So this jury in LA has
- 17:29Speaker 8: said a bad precedent, and you're right. They have to
- 17:31Speaker 8: fight this tooth and nail because it's going to cost
- 17:35Speaker 8: everybody millions, if not billions, in the long run.
- 17:38Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a good point. Yeah, the idea that Facebook
- 17:41Speaker 2: is addictive because of the way they use the algorithm,
- 17:43Speaker 2: It makes perfect sense. If you see what somebody likes
- 17:49Speaker 2: when And one of the arguments was when the YouTube
- 17:52Speaker 2: thing when it when the video ends, it goes right
- 17:55Speaker 2: into the next videos. They figured out something else you
- 17:57Speaker 2: would like, and then that starts playing next. But you
- 17:59Speaker 2: can shut that off. Whatever they call that automatic, whatever
- 18:04Speaker 2: continuous play, you can shut it off. But everybody does that.
- 18:08Speaker 2: We do that in the radio. We've always done that
- 18:09Speaker 2: in the radio. You know when they gono commercial and
- 18:12Speaker 2: they say, coming up next, what's the most expensive hotel
- 18:15Speaker 2: room in the world. That's called the teas. That's to
- 18:18Speaker 2: get you to stay through the break and listen. It's
- 18:20Speaker 2: done all the time in all kinds of businesses. Let's
- 18:23Speaker 2: go to Rich in Fair Lawn. Rich How you doing.
- 18:26Speaker 10: I'm doing fine, sir. Yes, I was twenty years old
- 18:30Speaker 10: going into Fort Dicks. For my basic.
- 18:33Speaker 2: Training was that for World War One, played.
- 18:35Speaker 11: Johnny Jean's record all over there.
- 18:37Speaker 2: You used to plays record what happened to her? Well,
- 18:41Speaker 2: she'd be about one hundred and fifty eight now I
- 18:44Speaker 2: think she's probably dead. That would be the nineteen fifties, right.
- 18:47Speaker 11: Right, yes, fifty three fifty.
- 18:50Speaker 2: Four, Okay, that's hang on, My math is not that great.
- 18:53Speaker 2: That'd be like seventy two seventy three years ago. Let's
- 18:57Speaker 2: say she was thirty. Then put her in the hundreds.
- 19:01Speaker 2: I would assume she's no longer with us.
- 19:03Speaker 10: Oh okay, all.
- 19:04Speaker 2: Right, thanks for calling. Yeah, you know it was before
- 19:08Speaker 2: my time, but I used to hear about this Jony James.
- 19:10Speaker 2: Apparently back then in the fifties, she was quite hot
- 19:14Speaker 2: stuff there because a lot of these guys had quite
- 19:16Speaker 2: a thing for Jony James. Let's go to Mara and Nevada. Mara,
- 19:20Speaker 2: how you doing so good?
- 19:22Speaker 12: I'm talking to you, Chad Vincent. I gotta talk frisk
- 19:25Speaker 12: because Vincent's coming up behind me. All right, Bock, if
- 19:28Speaker 12: the Dems could screw up I have two things. If
- 19:31Speaker 12: the Dems could screw up Trump's two hundred and fiftieth anniversary,
- 19:35Speaker 12: they would love it, love it, love it. And number two,
- 19:38Speaker 12: how come Trump can't put a freeze on mortgage payment,
- 19:42Speaker 12: rent payment, loan payment for these TSA workers. They're gonna
- 19:45Speaker 12: get all their back pay and then they'll bring everything
- 19:48Speaker 12: up to date.
- 19:49Speaker 13: They didn't get excellent idea.
- 19:53Speaker 2: Thanks for calling. Let's go to Vincent and Brooklyn. Vincent,
- 19:56Speaker 2: how you.
- 19:56Speaker 14: Doing, Good morning, Mark, Good morning Mary. This is what
- 19:59Speaker 14: I'm about this say, this is one of the reasons
- 20:01Speaker 14: why we need Bruce Blakeman and why Bruce Blakeman is
- 20:05Speaker 14: going to win. Yesterday I heard his story and in
- 20:09Speaker 14: keeping with wanting to protect the illegal aliens that Joe
- 20:13Speaker 14: Biden let in, there was a story that an illegal
- 20:16Speaker 14: alien raped the five year old girl out in Long Island,
- 20:21Speaker 14: and only one local channel in Long Handle, Channel twelve,
- 20:26Speaker 14: gave it about thirty seconds of airtime. None of the
- 20:31Speaker 14: big three stations in New York wanted to give it
- 20:34Speaker 14: any airtime. And I heard this story. This bum, what
- 20:39Speaker 14: he did? This poor little girl needed reconstructive surgery. He
- 20:44Speaker 14: was babysitting this girl, this bum. And what does it
- 20:47Speaker 14: speak about the parents? They were probably illegals too. What
- 20:53Speaker 14: does it speak about the parents? And the fake news?
- 20:56Speaker 15: They didn't they didn't say.
- 20:59Speaker 14: A thing about I couldn't believe it.
- 21:01Speaker 15: I heard. I heard the broadcast last night of the
- 21:05Speaker 15: TV person out the TV announce talking telling the story.
- 21:09Speaker 15: And this person was released. They caught him in the
- 21:13Speaker 15: country and the Biden administration released this guy. That's why
- 21:19Speaker 15: Bruce Blakelin is gonna be the next governor of Vincent.
- 21:26Speaker 2: Great call, thanks for calling you coming up the next day,
- 21:28Speaker 2: we'll get to this. We'll get back to that because
- 21:30Speaker 2: and there's also the story of Loyola in Chicago. This
- 21:33Speaker 2: this student from Yorktown Heights from Westchester shot executed by
- 21:38Speaker 2: an illegal and the illegal immigrant and all the things
- 21:42Speaker 2: that surrounded this story are unbelievable. We'll get to that
- 21:45Speaker 2: coming up in the next hour. And coming up next
- 21:48Speaker 2: the hunt for Steve Moore. I think you'll be here.
- 21:50Speaker 2: We'll talk to Steve Moore, the Great Economists. Lots to
- 21:53Speaker 2: talk to him about oil, energy, stock market prices, economy,
- 21:59Speaker 2: all that stuff. We'll get to that coming up in
- 22:01Speaker 2: a moment on seven to ten woor.
- 22:03Speaker 1: The Mark Simone Show on seven ten woo.
- 22:09Speaker 9: Well.
- 22:09Speaker 2: Steve Moore, the Great Economists. You see him all over television.
- 22:13Speaker 2: You can read his columns and get his book, The
- 22:15Speaker 2: Trump Economic Miracle and excellent book, big best seller. And
- 22:19Speaker 2: he runs the Committee to Unleash Prosperity. Their daily Briefing,
- 22:23Speaker 2: their news analysis. The Daily Briefing is the best there is.
- 22:26Speaker 2: You can get it. It'll come free to your email
- 22:28Speaker 2: every day. Just sign up for it. Go to Unleash
- 22:31Speaker 2: Prosperity dot com. Unleash prosperity dot Com. Steve Moore, how
- 22:36Speaker 2: you doing him?
- 22:38Speaker 7: Mark, I'm doing pretty well, hoping, hoping that we get
- 22:41Speaker 7: this conflict over with in a victorious way in Iran
- 22:44Speaker 7: so we can get back to three dollars gallon gasoline.
- 22:47Speaker 7: But I'm doing pretty good about I think we're going
- 22:51Speaker 7: to see a change in direction in the economy back
- 22:55Speaker 7: toward the prosperity we had in Trump's first year. And
- 22:59Speaker 7: that just means, you know, we're going to see gas
- 23:01Speaker 7: prices fall again and we're going to bring inflation down.
- 23:04Speaker 7: So that's that's my read on things.
- 23:06Speaker 2: Yeah, now let me ask you a question. If the
- 23:08Speaker 2: price of oil goes up, Democrats yelling scream that this
- 23:10Speaker 2: the price of oil going on, worst thing you could
- 23:12Speaker 2: do to people. It's crushing them, it's killing Yet at
- 23:15Speaker 2: the same time they have done everything they can to
- 23:18Speaker 2: raise the price of your elected exactly.
- 23:22Speaker 7: Isn't that the truth? So they you know, they want
- 23:24Speaker 7: more taxes on oil. They tried to remember they had
- 23:26Speaker 7: a policy of they want to net zero so we
- 23:29Speaker 7: would use no oil, gas or coal in this country,
- 23:32Speaker 7: which would have been Can you imagine how much we'd
- 23:34Speaker 7: be paying today for gasoline if they'd eliminated American output,
- 23:38Speaker 7: and they have not allowed drill. But baby drill, we'd
- 23:41Speaker 7: be paying eight dollars a gallon for gas. So you're right,
- 23:44Speaker 7: there's a hypocrisy on the left. They keep saying, oh,
- 23:46Speaker 7: look at this, Trump's causing un four dollar gallon gasoline
- 23:49Speaker 7: four fifty dollars.
- 23:50Speaker 2: Wait a minute, you're.
- 23:51Speaker 7: The ones who want you don't want people to use gas.
- 23:53Speaker 7: You don't want people to use oil. Anybody who thinks
- 23:57Speaker 7: we can we can power this country. You know, with
- 24:00Speaker 7: all the manufacturing we have with steel, the technology sector,
- 24:06Speaker 7: our farms use a lot of injury.
- 24:07Speaker 8: We're going to do that.
- 24:08Speaker 7: We're a thirty trillion dollar economy. We're going to power
- 24:10Speaker 7: all that with windmills.
- 24:13Speaker 2: But the other thing they did, everybody's electric bill was
- 24:15Speaker 2: one hundred bucks a month. Now it's four hundred because
- 24:17Speaker 2: of all their green scheme and regular climate. Yes, so
- 24:21Speaker 2: why don't they bring our electric bill back to one
- 24:22Speaker 2: hundred like it used to be.
- 24:24Speaker 7: Yeah, And by the way, if there's a good comparison,
- 24:27Speaker 7: if you look at red states that use you know,
- 24:30Speaker 7: you know, coal and oil and gas and nuclear power,
- 24:34Speaker 7: they pay on average half as much for electric power
- 24:38Speaker 7: than New York and California and New Jersey and my
- 24:41Speaker 7: home state of Illinois. By the way, California is a
- 24:44Speaker 7: especially interesting state because that has the highest gas taxes
- 24:48Speaker 7: in the country. They pay like a dollar fifty more
- 24:51Speaker 7: per gallon of gas than every other resident of every
- 24:53Speaker 7: other state. And yet there's no state in the country
- 24:56Speaker 7: that has more oil and gas than California, maybe other
- 24:58Speaker 7: than Texas. It's not like they don't have it. They
- 25:02Speaker 7: have abundance of resources. They just won't go after it.
- 25:05Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm trying to Steve Moore. Hey, this is a
- 25:08Speaker 2: crazy mayor, Mom, Donnie, you know, he gets elected, I'll
- 25:11Speaker 2: tax the rich, tax the rich. Tex Well, now that
- 25:13Speaker 2: he's putting together some of these tax plans, they also
- 25:16Speaker 2: seemed to tax the middle class, like crazy, how.
- 25:18Speaker 7: Did that happen. Well, let's the you know, a joke
- 25:23Speaker 7: about the robber, you know, rob Banks, and he said
- 25:26Speaker 7: that's where the money is. The truth is the money,
- 25:29Speaker 7: the money is in the hands of the middle class.
- 25:31Speaker 7: This is the middle class country. So if you want
- 25:33Speaker 7: to if you want to have a social system, you're
- 25:36Speaker 7: going to have to go after people make between seventy
- 25:39Speaker 7: five and two hundred thousand dollars, and that's where the
- 25:42Speaker 7: mass number of Americans are. You know, there aren't that
- 25:46Speaker 7: many billionaires in the country that you can flee, so
- 25:49Speaker 7: that's why they always go after the middle class.
- 25:51Speaker 2: Well, yeah, it's just awful, you know. And also he's
- 25:55Speaker 2: talking about lowering the estate tax. You know, you don't
- 25:57Speaker 2: pay any estate tex up to seven million. He's going
- 26:00Speaker 2: to bring that down to seven hundred thousand, So most families,
- 26:03Speaker 2: if you want to the killer, yeah, killer.
- 26:06Speaker 7: You know what will happen is people we're already seeing this.
- 26:09Speaker 7: You know, we're seeing millionaires and billionaires moving out of
- 26:12Speaker 7: New York, they're moving out of California, they're moving out
- 26:15Speaker 7: of the highest tax states. And you could go to
- 26:17Speaker 7: you in others. Why would you die in New York.
- 26:20Speaker 7: Let's say you have fifty million dollars, why would you
- 26:23Speaker 7: die in New York and then pass on, you know,
- 26:27Speaker 7: half of that money to the state and the federal government.
- 26:29Speaker 7: When if you die in Texas, you're not going to
- 26:31Speaker 7: pay any estate tax.
- 26:33Speaker 2: But also seven hundred thousand, that's you know, you wouldn't
- 26:36Speaker 2: be able to leave your house.
- 26:37Speaker 7: To the middle Yeah, exactly, that's that's most middle income people.
- 26:42Speaker 7: You know, my upper middle income people, after you know,
- 26:47Speaker 7: forty years of working have amassed more than seven hundred
- 26:49Speaker 7: thousand dollars in well, I mean that's a house. By
- 26:51Speaker 7: the way.
- 26:52Speaker 2: Yeah, I hate Steve Moore. You know, all the all
- 26:55Speaker 2: these New Yorkers are moving to Florida. They're all moving
- 26:57Speaker 2: to Florida. So I noticed that Palm Beach they just
- 27:00Speaker 2: elected a Democrat to this legislature. Miami just elected a
- 27:05Speaker 2: Democrat mayor. Is this the result of all these New
- 27:08Speaker 2: Yorkers moving there? They' getting these Democrats elected everywhere.
- 27:11Speaker 7: Well, I think there's just a backlashers, you know, against
- 27:14Speaker 7: Republicans right now. People are angry about prices. The war
- 27:17Speaker 7: is not that popular. But you know Trump, Trump is
- 27:21Speaker 7: is rebuilding the American economy. He's putting America first. We're
- 27:25Speaker 7: doing incredible things on deregulating economy. We're seeing you know, drill, baby, drill.
- 27:32Speaker 7: Thank god, we're doing that. That's that's we're not By
- 27:35Speaker 7: the way, did you know this, We the United States now,
- 27:37Speaker 7: for the first time in fifty years, we're producing more
- 27:41Speaker 7: energy than we than we consume. So we're actually a
- 27:44Speaker 7: net exporter of oil and gas. We are also you may.
- 27:49Speaker 7: I don't know how many of your listeners are aware
- 27:51Speaker 7: of this, because I was surprised when I saw the statistic.
- 27:53Speaker 7: The United States now actually we are a net exporter
- 27:57Speaker 7: of oil and gas. In other words, we produce more
- 28:00Speaker 7: and we're the number one country in production. We surpassed
- 28:03Speaker 7: Saudi Arabia and Russia. We are the number one powerhouse
- 28:07Speaker 7: and energy.
- 28:07Speaker 2: Wow. So yeah, when it comes to Straits of Horror, Moose,
- 28:11Speaker 2: we don't need any of that oil coming out of there.
- 28:12Speaker 2: It's notation.
- 28:14Speaker 7: We need to realize that. You know, I'm old enough
- 28:16Speaker 7: for Member Mark. You know, when I was a teenager,
- 28:18Speaker 7: young teenager in the seventies, and my parents would would
- 28:22Speaker 7: pack us up at seven in the morning in February
- 28:25Speaker 7: and we'd get in the state old station wagon. I
- 28:27Speaker 7: bet a lot of your listeners don't even notice station.
- 28:30Speaker 7: And then we would we would get we would drive
- 28:32Speaker 7: to the little local service station. We'd be ninth in
- 28:35Speaker 7: line to get gas because we had gas lines back then.
- 28:37Speaker 7: And that was because of the Arab you know, the
- 28:40Speaker 7: Iranian Hassis situation. And all we've seen is these flare
- 28:43Speaker 7: ups in the Middle East all the time, and then
- 28:46Speaker 7: we get these big spikes and oil. So what we
- 28:48Speaker 7: need to do is really make sure that we are
- 28:51Speaker 7: no longer dependent on the Middle East for energy because
- 28:55Speaker 7: they're not a reliable source.
- 28:57Speaker 2: Yeah, well, this could be over in a few weeks
- 28:59Speaker 2: and then uh and what what what if?
- 29:02Speaker 7: By the way, once that, once that happens, By the way, Mark,
- 29:05Speaker 7: I guarantee you, within three or four weeks, we'll be
- 29:08Speaker 7: back to the gas prices which were a record loan
- 29:11Speaker 7: wonder Trump when you adjust for inflation. So Trump had
- 29:14Speaker 7: us on an incredible course because of the disruption in
- 29:16Speaker 7: the Middle East, prices spike. But I'm hearing to tell
- 29:19Speaker 7: you they're going to come right back down when we
- 29:21Speaker 7: get this result.
- 29:22Speaker 2: Yeah. Hey, Steve Moore, the hotline you put out every day,
- 29:27Speaker 2: they just go to Unleash Prosperity dot com. You can
- 29:29Speaker 2: sign up for it. Yesterday a great story about Fetterman.
- 29:32Speaker 2: You know, the Democrats are so far to the left,
- 29:34Speaker 2: so yeah, but uh huh is Fetterman the guy that
- 29:37Speaker 2: maybe in two years will lead them back to the middle.
- 29:41Speaker 7: Well, you know, Federman is sounding more and more rational,
- 29:45Speaker 7: and he's calling out Democrats saying, just because Donald Trump
- 29:48Speaker 7: does want wants to do something doesn't mean its evil.
- 29:51Speaker 7: I mean, there's so there's so much Trump derangement syndrome
- 29:54Speaker 7: on the on the left that you know, he's calling
- 29:56Speaker 7: out his Democrats saying, look, we can agree with Trump
- 29:59Speaker 7: on something, but you know, Charlie, Chuckie Schumer and the
- 30:06Speaker 7: Democratic leaders in the House, they're just reflexively against everything
- 30:10Speaker 7: Trump wants to do. And they're the ones, by the way,
- 30:12Speaker 7: that have created these long lines in the airports because
- 30:15Speaker 7: they want to create havoc and mayhem because they think
- 30:18Speaker 7: that hurts Trump. I mean, how cynical is that to
- 30:20Speaker 7: make people wait two hours in line at the airport
- 30:23Speaker 7: so they can score political points.
- 30:25Speaker 2: Yeah, so you're right now, you're a guy that flies
- 30:30Speaker 2: all over the place. Yeah, hopefully you won't have to
- 30:33Speaker 2: go through that this week.
- 30:34Speaker 7: But well, you know, I'm going to may say one
- 30:36Speaker 7: last thing on the way out, mark I I because
- 30:39Speaker 7: I do travel a lot. I'm on the road a
- 30:40Speaker 7: couple of days a week, and I'm flying through, in
- 30:42Speaker 7: and out of airports all the time. And by the way,
- 30:45Speaker 7: I haven't really confronted too many problems except for one airport.
- 30:48Speaker 7: But when I see the TSA agents, I go up
- 30:51Speaker 7: and I shake their hand and say thank you, thank
- 30:53Speaker 7: you for working. There are a lot of dedicated TSA
- 30:55Speaker 7: agents who are working without a paycheck now for almost
- 30:58Speaker 7: a month, and they're the hero here. And the Democrats
- 31:01Speaker 7: and the Congress who want to create the chaos. There
- 31:03Speaker 7: are the vic there are the villains in this and
- 31:05Speaker 7: there's no reason. By the way, I'm also in favor
- 31:08Speaker 7: of letting you know, ICE agents help out at the reports.
- 31:11Speaker 7: That's reducing lines. But the Democrats are against that too.
- 31:13Speaker 2: Oh hey, I want the ICE stations to go to
- 31:15Speaker 2: motor vehicles next take over that line.
- 31:18Speaker 6: That's a great idea.
- 31:19Speaker 2: Mark, I love it well. Steve Moore, Hey, everybody gets
- 31:22Speaker 2: Steve Moore's book, The Trump Economic Miracle. You'll really love it.
- 31:26Speaker 2: And then sign up for the hotline. Boy, you guys
- 31:28Speaker 2: put together the best daily briefing. Thank you, news and analysis.
- 31:32Speaker 2: It's free, right, just go to it's free.
- 31:34Speaker 7: Just go to on Leascus thirty dot.
- 31:35Speaker 2: Com and sign up for the hot line. Steve Moore,
- 31:37Speaker 2: thanks for being with us. Thanks box all right, take care. Hey,

- 31:45Speaker 2: with they do a great show every day from noon
- 31:48Speaker 2: to three. You'll really love it. Buck's got a new
- 31:50Speaker 2: book out. Check it out at Amazon. It's called Manufacturing Delusion.
- 31:55Speaker 2: You'll love it. Also at three o'clock, you got the
- 31:58Speaker 2: most listen to radio show in America. Sean Hannity got
- 32:02Speaker 2: Jesse Kelly at six, and Jimmy Fayala does a phenomenal
- 32:06Speaker 2: show every night at nine. It's very funny, and he'll
- 32:09Speaker 2: be with us in the next hour here on seven
- 32:12Speaker 2: to ten.
- 32:12Speaker 13: Wr Mark Simone, Well, hey, it's opening day today, New
- 32:22Speaker 13: York Mets Opening Day, City Field.
- 32:25Speaker 2: It'll be great. The Yankees Opening Day last night they
- 32:28Speaker 2: won shut out and it was on Netflix. It's gonna
- 32:32Speaker 2: be that way for the next few years. Opening Day
- 32:35Speaker 2: only on Netflix. The Mets, I think you can see
- 32:38Speaker 2: on TV today regular TV. But that's today. It's it's
- 32:43Speaker 2: the remember that horrible winter. It's over, it's spring. It's
- 32:47Speaker 2: practically Easter, which means it's practically Memorial Day. Then it's
- 32:52Speaker 2: practically the fourth of July, and then it'll be Labor Day,
- 32:55Speaker 2: and then then we'll be back to anyway. And it's
- 32:57Speaker 2: a big year. It's not just Fourth of July celebration.
- 33:00Speaker 2: It's gonna be the two hundred and fiftieth Birthday of America,
- 33:03Speaker 2: massive celebrations of America all summer. It's going to be
- 33:07Speaker 2: a very, very tough time for Democrats. They do not
- 33:11Speaker 2: like this. They don't like Fourth of July. They don't
- 33:13Speaker 2: like flags, they don't like hot dogs and fire. They
- 33:16Speaker 2: don't like that stuff celebrating America. Ooh, they don't like that.
- 33:19Speaker 2: It's gonna be a tough summer for them. Well, be
- 33:21Speaker 2: back after the news. A lot to get to coming
- 33:23Speaker 2: up on seven to ten. Wo mister New York mar
- 33:28Speaker 2: Simon on wor.
- 33:33Speaker 5: On.
- 33:36Speaker 2: Well, a lot going on. There's a cabinet meeting later today,
- 33:40Speaker 2: actually taking place any moment. It's the first cabinet meeting
- 33:44Speaker 2: in a few weeks. Remember Joe Biden didn't have cabinet meetings,
- 33:47Speaker 2: and they started to be bad press about the fact
- 33:50Speaker 2: that he hadn't had a cabinet meeting in a couple
- 33:52Speaker 2: of years. So they quickly slapped together a cabinet meeting
- 33:56Speaker 2: just to make it look good. And remember they couldn't
- 33:58Speaker 2: find half the cabinet. They weren't even in Washington. There
- 34:00Speaker 2: were no meetings. They didn't do anything. They remember that
- 34:03Speaker 2: final time they attempted to do cabinet meeting, Jill Biden
- 34:08Speaker 2: sat at the head seat and ran the meeting. Joe
- 34:12Speaker 2: just sat there looking totally out of it. Well, Jill
- 34:15Speaker 2: Biden seemed to run the meeting pretty embarrassing. But cabinet
- 34:19Speaker 2: meeting right now, And as you know, the press is
- 34:21Speaker 2: allowed in and the President talks at great lengths, so
- 34:24Speaker 2: we'll probably probably hear something from him that'll be of
- 34:28Speaker 2: interest later this hour long lines at some airports, most airports.
- 34:34Speaker 2: ICE has been a big help. Despite what all the
- 34:37Speaker 2: Democrats said that they would screw things up, and they
- 34:40Speaker 2: had crazy Hakeem Jeffries, and you had insane Chris Murphy
- 34:44Speaker 2: and ridiculous sleazy Blumenthal saying that the ICE agents would
- 34:49Speaker 2: shoot people and brutalize people in the airports. Instead, they've
- 34:52Speaker 2: been a great help. And reporters at airports have noticed
- 34:56Speaker 2: that a lot of people, a lot of people are
- 34:59Speaker 2: going up to the ICE agents to thank them, just
- 35:01Speaker 2: saying thank you and thank you for everything you do.
- 35:04Speaker 2: And Democrats just think the reason they keep this shutdown
- 35:08Speaker 2: going they think it's hurting Republicans. They've convinced themselves that
- 35:12Speaker 2: the public is blaming Republicans. So there could be a
- 35:15Speaker 2: little truth to that, because the Republicans, although they're not
- 35:18Speaker 2: at fault here, they're messaging stinks on this and they
- 35:21Speaker 2: need to do more to make it clear that it's
- 35:25Speaker 2: the Democrats keeping this shutdown going. Democrats have a history
- 35:29Speaker 2: of in a shutdown, trying to inflict as much inconvenience
- 35:34Speaker 2: on people just to make their point. The best example
- 35:39Speaker 2: was a Barack Obama. Remember the shutdown during the Obama years.
- 35:43Speaker 2: He shut down everything, shutdown things that didn't need to
- 35:46Speaker 2: be shut down. He shut down all the monuments in Washington, DC,
- 35:49Speaker 2: put that big yellow police tape all around him to
- 35:52Speaker 2: keep people. There was no reason to do that. There's
- 35:54Speaker 2: no staff there. There's no staff required at these monuments
- 36:00Speaker 2: been you know, student groups that flew into Washington, Veteran
- 36:04Speaker 2: groups that came in to visit the monuments couldn't do it.
- 36:06Speaker 2: They were all taped up and you couldn't get near
- 36:08Speaker 2: them because Obama wanted to just use it to make
- 36:11Speaker 2: a point even though there was no actual reason they
- 36:14Speaker 2: had to be shut down during the shutdown. So hey, yeah,
- 36:17Speaker 2: Tiss James are sleazy. Attorney General the Tis James looks
- 36:22Speaker 2: like she's going to get charged again. Criminal referrals have
- 36:25Speaker 2: been made, this time from the Federal Housing Authority when
- 36:32Speaker 2: she took these. You know, she has two or three
- 36:35Speaker 2: houses at Virginia, Maryland. She's got a couple of houses
- 36:38Speaker 2: down there, and she listed them as her primary residence.
- 36:43Speaker 2: It gets your tax breaks, it gets you all kinds
- 36:45Speaker 2: of breaks. They weren't her primary residence. She had other
- 36:47Speaker 2: people living there, relatives, a couple of them criminals, you know,
- 36:51Speaker 2: out on probation, that sort of stuff. So the new
- 36:55Speaker 2: charges have to do with insurance fraud because apparently on
- 36:59Speaker 2: the insurance for she claimed it was her primary residence. Now, obviously,
- 37:03Speaker 2: if you're the Attorney General of New York, you're required
- 37:05Speaker 2: to live in New York. They can't possibly be your
- 37:08Speaker 2: primary residence. But she listed that way on insurance forms.
- 37:11Speaker 2: So they are going to charge her. Well, the criminal
- 37:14Speaker 2: referrals have been made to the Department of Justice. We'll
- 37:16Speaker 2: see if they do charge her with insurance fraud. Maduro,
- 37:22Speaker 2: the Venezuelan leader in court today, says he's broke. He
- 37:25Speaker 2: has no money. You know, when you're one of those
- 37:28Speaker 2: South American dictators of Venezuelan leaders, you generally have a
- 37:32Speaker 2: couple of billions stashed away somewhere. Apparently he can't get
- 37:36Speaker 2: to it, or they took it or something. He is
- 37:39Speaker 2: arguing in court that since he has no money, the
- 37:42Speaker 2: Venezuelan government should pay his legal defense. That that was
- 37:45Speaker 2: always the deal. But once they grab you in your
- 37:48Speaker 2: pajamas in the middle of the night and take you away,
- 37:51Speaker 2: kind of all those deals are off. So we'll see
- 37:54Speaker 2: how that turns out. Hey, Facebook and Google YouTube decision.
- 38:01Speaker 2: As we mentioned before, the woman that sued got four
- 38:05Speaker 2: million five million. Now in New Mexico there was a
- 38:09Speaker 2: big class action suit same thing, and they won three
- 38:13Speaker 2: hundred and seventy five million from Facebook. Now that's only
- 38:18Speaker 2: because in New Mexico there's a law you can only
- 38:20Speaker 2: for some legal reason. The jury could only allow five
- 38:24Speaker 2: thousand dollars per student. You know that they were victims
- 38:28Speaker 2: of Facebook, that Facebook has an algorithm that got them addicted,
- 38:32Speaker 2: So you're only allowed five thousand per students. So it
- 38:34Speaker 2: was three hundred and seventy five million. But if they
- 38:36Speaker 2: don't Facebook, Google YouTube, if they don't get into a
- 38:41Speaker 2: higher court, Supreme court and get this turned around, they
- 38:44Speaker 2: are going to be in massive, massive financial trouble. Hard
- 38:49Speaker 2: to believe when you're a trillion dollar company. But this
- 38:53Speaker 2: could be very, very, very bad for them. So I
- 38:56Speaker 2: was in the kitchen just now getting a cup of coffee.
- 39:00Speaker 2: They got these signs on the refrigerator. I thought there
- 39:02Speaker 2: was hazardous waist in there or something, big sign, big
- 39:05Speaker 2: black lot, a huge font, stay away, mother. It was
- 39:08Speaker 2: about don't take anything out of the refrigerator. A people
- 39:11Speaker 2: stealing people's food from the refrigerator. They are really who
- 39:15Speaker 2: would I see what some of these people bring in.
- 39:18Speaker 2: Who the hell would steal that food? Most of it
- 39:20Speaker 2: looks pretty weird. Now, in the history of radio, there
- 39:26Speaker 2: has been a problem with this.
- 39:28Speaker 8: Not here.
- 39:29Speaker 2: I don't know anybody here that does that, but good
- 39:31Speaker 2: old days. And let me think now, who can I
- 39:34Speaker 2: mention because some of them are still alive. Oh there's
- 39:37Speaker 2: one who's dead. Bob Grant. Bob Grant would take everything
- 39:41Speaker 2: that wasn't nailed down, even it was nailed down. He
- 39:45Speaker 2: had a nail remover or a hammer, he would he
- 39:47Speaker 2: would take everything. If you had food, anywhere, it was taken.
- 39:52Speaker 2: He was famous for that. Not just food, anything, staplers, anything, everything.
- 40:01Speaker 2: I'm thinking of a couple of others, but they're still alive.
- 40:02Speaker 2: I won't mention them from other radio stations, but it
- 40:05Speaker 2: does happen. Hey, this is the most horrible case in Chicago.
- 40:13Speaker 2: This student, she's a student at Loyola and she's from Westchester.
- 40:18Speaker 2: She's from Yorktown Heights and she's going to Loyola and
- 40:22Speaker 2: she's if you'll follow her on Instagram, all she's just
- 40:25Speaker 2: having the great time. It's like the best time of
- 40:28Speaker 2: her life going to Loyola. And she's got a lot
- 40:30Speaker 2: of friends and she's very happy. And her name is
- 40:32Speaker 2: Sheridan Gorman. And she's out at Toby Prin's Beach along
- 40:39Speaker 2: the pier late night, you know, the college kids are
- 40:42Speaker 2: out late. When a gunman approaches her, shoots her in
- 40:47Speaker 2: the head and executes her. This is one thirty in
- 40:50Speaker 2: the morning. No reason for this, What possible motive could
- 40:54Speaker 2: there be? Shoot her? Had his face covered, fled into
- 40:59Speaker 2: the darkness. Now it turns out the shooter is from Venezuela.
- 41:03Speaker 2: He's an illegal, an illegal migrant here illegally. He did
- 41:08Speaker 2: have a previous criminal problem shoplifting. He was let go
- 41:12Speaker 2: of a misdemeanor. They found the guy. They eventually found
- 41:17Speaker 2: this guy and his face was covered, but he had
- 41:20Speaker 2: a very distinctive limp, and there were witnesses. So because
- 41:23Speaker 2: of the limp, they got him and they've arrested him.
- 41:27Speaker 2: He's an illegal migrant, illegal alien, totally illegal. Now, the
- 41:32Speaker 2: Loyola student newspaper did a story about this, this poor
- 41:37Speaker 2: girl being executed, and in the story they mentioned that
- 41:41Speaker 2: he was an illegal migrant. Well, this is how crazy
- 41:45Speaker 2: woke things are in these colleges. The college went crazy,
- 41:48Speaker 2: the students went crazy. The newspaper was getting bombarded with
- 41:52Speaker 2: all kinds of angry screaming people that how dare they
- 41:55Speaker 2: call him an illegal alien. The student newspaper rewrote the story.
- 42:01Speaker 2: They republished it, describing him as a Rogers Park resident,
- 42:07Speaker 2: and they apologized for calling him an illegal migrant. They apologized.
- 42:11Speaker 2: They said that headline doesn't reflect the most important elements
- 42:14Speaker 2: in the story, and we took it down to prevent
- 42:18Speaker 2: any further harm to affected community members. Now they're getting
- 42:22Speaker 2: shot in the head part. They didn't consider that big harm,
- 42:24Speaker 2: but offending the woke that was great harm. They went
- 42:29Speaker 2: on to say, we described a man who was charged
- 42:32Speaker 2: as an illegal immigrant using language provided by the Department
- 42:37Speaker 2: Homeland Security. That language does not align with Associated Press style.
- 42:42Speaker 2: Associated presses the most left wing, woke, partisan slanted thing now,
- 42:48Speaker 2: and they apologized, nor does it align with the values
- 42:52Speaker 2: of this newspaper. No humans experience is illegal, and we
- 42:57Speaker 2: quickly changed our wording to reflect that, Wait a minute,
- 43:00Speaker 2: A lot of people's a lot of people are illegal.
- 43:02Speaker 2: You know, a guy goes into a bank and robs it,
- 43:04Speaker 2: that he's doing something illegal. You can be illegal. You
- 43:07Speaker 2: can be yourself illegal by being an illegal immigrant. Of
- 43:10Speaker 2: course it's illegal. Then there's a Chicago alder woman, a politician,
- 43:14Speaker 2: local politician, Maria Hadden, who's getting attacked all over the
- 43:19Speaker 2: place because she's a typical Democrat, awoke. She blamed the victim.
- 43:24Speaker 2: She said, the girl was in the wrong place at
- 43:26Speaker 2: the wrong time. It's her fault. She was in the
- 43:29Speaker 2: wrong place at the wrong time. She's getting a lot
- 43:32Speaker 2: of flat for that. The mayor of Chicago, another left
- 43:35Speaker 2: wing kook, Brandon Johnson, refused to apologize to Gorman's parents
- 43:40Speaker 2: for his sanctuary cities policies which allowed this illegal to
- 43:45Speaker 2: roam around. And by the way, Homeland Security thinks there's
- 43:49Speaker 2: about two thousand more of these people there in Chicago.
- 43:52Speaker 2: Illegals dangerous criminal illegals in Chicago. They think there's two
- 43:56Speaker 2: thousand more of them. Now, why would he just go
- 43:59Speaker 2: shoot the poor college girl. Why would this guy just
- 44:03Speaker 2: walk up and shoot her. A lot of people think,
- 44:07Speaker 2: even law enforcement, a lot of people think he was
- 44:10Speaker 2: trying to join a gang. And in a lot of gangs,
- 44:14Speaker 2: that's the initiation. You got to shoot somebody. In a
- 44:17Speaker 2: lot of gangs, you have to just go execute somebody
- 44:19Speaker 2: in public, totally innocent person. Just shoot him part of
- 44:22Speaker 2: the initiation. That's the only explanation that makes any sense. JB. Pritzker,
- 44:28Speaker 2: that governor of Illinois, the big fat Ralph Crampton looking governor,
- 44:33Speaker 2: try to blame Trump for it. Somehow it's all Trump's fault,
- 44:36Speaker 2: his policies. Then he went after Trump for politicizing the death.
- 44:40Speaker 2: Well instead of focusing on real solutions, like reinstating federal
- 44:46Speaker 2: funds to prevent violence. You know, they always come up
- 44:48Speaker 2: with this, there's some bill, they have some federal funds
- 44:51Speaker 2: that would take care of the Only thing that takes
- 44:53Speaker 2: care of dangerous criminal illegal shooting people is ice arresting
- 44:57Speaker 2: them and getting them hell out of here, just to
- 44:59Speaker 2: pour them, get rid of them. That's the only thing
- 45:02Speaker 2: that really works. So it's just a horrible, horrible case. Hey,
- 45:07Speaker 2: the Washington Post, he said, there's no good news. The
- 45:09Speaker 2: Washington Post has suffered the worst print circulation decline ever,
- 45:15Speaker 2: worst among the top twenty five newspapers. You know, the
- 45:19Speaker 2: Washington Post was always a little to the left, and
- 45:22Speaker 2: then in recent times, you know, the Trump era, it
- 45:24Speaker 2: became ridiculously slanted to the left, ridiculously biased, so bad
- 45:31Speaker 2: that Jeff Bezos, the owner, had to step in and
- 45:34Speaker 2: clean things up. He doesn't want him to be to
- 45:36Speaker 2: the right. You can't go that far left. He can't
- 45:39Speaker 2: be that partisan. So he started stopping some of the
- 45:43Speaker 2: extremest nonsense they were printing. That caused a lot of
- 45:46Speaker 2: people to quit. By the way, with this extremist left
- 45:49Speaker 2: wing nonsense, they were losing a fortune and just losing
- 45:54Speaker 2: a ton of money. They were losing one hundred million
- 45:57Speaker 2: a year, one hundred million of the year. So how
- 46:02Speaker 2: did they keep going? Well, Bezos is a zillionaire, so
- 46:05Speaker 2: every week he had to write a check for two
- 46:07Speaker 2: million just to keep them going. And he did that
- 46:11Speaker 2: for a few years. Every end of every week he'd
- 46:13Speaker 2: write a two million dollar check to pay up the
- 46:15Speaker 2: debt that they were losing so much money. But after
- 46:19Speaker 2: a couple of years, even if you're a true zillionaire,
- 46:21Speaker 2: you don't want to write a check for two million
- 46:23Speaker 2: every week. So he started fixing things. They had to
- 46:26Speaker 2: layoff three hundred journalists. They had to close the entire
- 46:30Speaker 2: sports department because you don't need it anymore. It's now
- 46:34Speaker 2: twenty twenty six. There's a million sports sit where you
- 46:38Speaker 2: can go get every detail in the world about anything sports.
- 46:41Speaker 2: You don't need that sports desk there, So they got
- 46:44Speaker 2: rid of that. They're cleaning house now, but they still
- 46:47Speaker 2: took a massive, massive decline in circulation. Hey had Christy No,
- 46:53Speaker 2: you know, she was fired as the Homeland Security had
- 46:56Speaker 2: and one of the reasons was the money she wasted
- 46:58Speaker 2: on that advertising campaign two hundred million, actually two hundred
- 47:04Speaker 2: and twenty million she spent supposedly an advertising campaign about
- 47:07Speaker 2: the Homeland Security illegal migrant all this sort of stuff,
- 47:11Speaker 2: which might be fine, except the commercials all seemed to
- 47:14Speaker 2: be her, her looking glamorous, her on a horse. It
- 47:17Speaker 2: didn't seem to be promoting what they needed to promote.
- 47:20Speaker 2: It didn't seem to be about getting a message out
- 47:23Speaker 2: it seemed to be about promoting Christy Nome. That was
- 47:25Speaker 2: the problem, and a lot of people think she really
- 47:27Speaker 2: wants to run in twenty twenty eight, and that was
- 47:30Speaker 2: the real purpose of these commercials to get that twenty
- 47:33Speaker 2: twenty eight campaign going. So they fired her. They' shutting
- 47:37Speaker 2: down that program. But it's now being investigated, looked at
- 47:40Speaker 2: by congressional committees, and they look at the payments. She
- 47:42Speaker 2: made twenty thousand dollars on horse rentals, twenty thousand on
- 47:48Speaker 2: horse rentals because a lot of this was her ride
- 47:50Speaker 2: and a horse, almost four thousand dollars on hair and makeup,
- 47:56Speaker 2: fifty three thousand on videography photography production vendors, forty one
- 48:02Speaker 2: thousand on other vendors. They hired the Strategy Group company.
- 48:06Speaker 2: They built a one hundred and ten thousand for labor
- 48:09Speaker 2: costs and a sixty thousand dollars signing bonus. Who gets
- 48:14Speaker 2: a signing bonus and maybe Aaron Judge who else gets
- 48:17Speaker 2: a signing bonus. A federal watchdog investigating one hundreds of
- 48:22Speaker 2: millions of dollars in this stuff. They're grilling them, and
- 48:25Speaker 2: she still shows up for the grilling with Corey Lewandowski
- 48:29Speaker 2: the boyfriend sitting right next to her. Hey, we'll take
- 48:31Speaker 2: some calls next. Eight hundred three to two one zero
- 48:35Speaker 2: seven ten is the number. Eight hundred three to two
- 48:38Speaker 2: one zero seven ten.
- 48:41Speaker 5: Get hits in access to Mark by setting a freeset
- 48:45Speaker 5: in the iHeart Radio app for his live show.
- 48:47Speaker 15: And his podcast.
- 48:49Speaker 5: Now back to the Mark Simone show on wor.
- 48:53Speaker 2: Hey, let's take some calls. Eight hundred three to two
- 48:56Speaker 2: one zero seven ten is the number. Let's go to
- 48:59Speaker 2: Mike in Massachusetts. Mike, how you doing.
- 49:03Speaker 11: I'm doing well.
- 49:05Speaker 16: My question has to do with the Christy Nome thing.
- 49:08Speaker 16: Isn't the real issue that the company that was hired
- 49:13Speaker 16: to make the commercials were like friends of Lewandowski and
- 49:19Speaker 16: they set up a company ten days before these millions
- 49:23Speaker 16: of dollars went to them.
- 49:24Speaker 2: Well, that's a separate issue. One is you shouldn't be
- 49:28Speaker 2: spending the money. Then the other thing is you set
- 49:31Speaker 2: up a company that does the time buying for you,
- 49:34Speaker 2: buy places the ads and you get ten percent of
- 49:37Speaker 2: the commission. That way, it's it's legal, it's it's kind
- 49:41Speaker 2: of sleazy. That's how Bernie Sanders became a multi millionaire.
- 49:44Speaker 2: You know, when you run for President, you buy a
- 49:47Speaker 2: couple hundred million dollars worth of TV commercials. And when
- 49:50Speaker 2: you buy TV commercials, you have to have an agency
- 49:53Speaker 2: that does the time buying for you, and they take
- 49:56Speaker 2: a fee. They like to take ten percent of the
- 49:57Speaker 2: buy because they know how to play the commercial strategically.
- 50:01Speaker 2: So they set up a company time buying agents. Instead
- 50:05Speaker 2: of using one of the time buying agentsies, they set
- 50:07Speaker 2: up their own company run by his wife, and she
- 50:10Speaker 2: collected the commission off the two three hundred million dollar buys.
- 50:13Speaker 2: It came to like twenty thirty million. That's how Bernie
- 50:16Speaker 2: became so rich. It's totally legal. You can do it.
- 50:19Speaker 2: Let's go to Phil and Long Island.
- 50:21Speaker 9: Phil.
- 50:21Speaker 2: How you doing?
- 50:22Speaker 10: Yes?
- 50:23Speaker 11: Hello, Mark, I want to talk about this weasel named
- 50:26Speaker 11: Chuck Schumer.
- 50:27Speaker 2: Yes.
- 50:28Speaker 11: When asked by Broadway Joe Scarborough, he wasn't happy that
- 50:33Speaker 11: Irong was being crushed. You know what this weasel said?
- 50:37Speaker 11: He said, well, what's going to happen three months from now?
- 50:41Speaker 11: My god, Mark, what's going to happen ten years from now?
- 50:44Speaker 2: Well, the good news is that this awful Chuck Schumer
- 50:47Speaker 2: always wrong about everything. Remember he said Monday once I
- 50:50Speaker 2: just goes to the airports, the lines will get longer,
- 50:52Speaker 2: everything will be total chaos. Just the opposite happened. He's
- 50:56Speaker 2: a desperate old man. He's a Willie Lohman old death
- 50:59Speaker 2: of a salesman and desperate guy at the end of
- 51:01Speaker 2: his career, trying to hang on, trying to look relevant,
- 51:04Speaker 2: hasn't got a clue how to do it. It's not working.
- 51:07Speaker 2: Speaking of Joe Scarborough, Morning, Joe, a big announcement. They
- 51:11Speaker 2: signed a new three year contract. They're all excited, a
- 51:13Speaker 2: new three year contract. Instead of four hours, it'll be
- 51:16Speaker 2: a three hour show. They forgot to mention they're getting
- 51:18Speaker 2: less money under this new contract. But that's okay. You
- 51:22Speaker 2: can you can leave out certain details. Let's go to
- 51:24Speaker 2: Robert in New Jersey. Robert, how you doing Robert? Robert?
- 51:32Speaker 10: Yes, yes, go Robert three Will might also run for
- 51:37Speaker 10: president in twenty twenty eight. Who Curtis three wash? You
- 51:41Speaker 10: think he will run for president two in twenty twenty eight?
- 51:44Speaker 2: Well, I don't know. He's right outside out the hall there.
- 51:47Speaker 2: You want me to ask him? Sure, Nah, he's not
- 51:50Speaker 2: going to run. Oh, actually I did ask him. I
- 51:51Speaker 2: forgot I did ask him.
- 51:53Speaker 10: He will run.
- 51:54Speaker 2: No, he's not running even for mayor. His wife will
- 51:56Speaker 2: not allow him to run again.
- 51:57Speaker 10: Well, who do you think will run for president?
- 51:59Speaker 2: And everybody who's going to win? Well, you know, people
- 52:05Speaker 2: like to make that it's gonna be Rubio. Now, it's
- 52:07Speaker 2: gonna be Advance. You can't make that prediction. It's like
- 52:11Speaker 2: try to predict right now who's going to win the
- 52:12Speaker 2: twenty twenty eight super Bowl. You can't do it. It's impossible.
- 52:17Speaker 2: It's too far into the future. Let's go to Bernie
- 52:20Speaker 2: in New Jersey. Bernie, how you doing great?
- 52:23Speaker 9: Mark? Carry you good. I just want to mention I'm
- 52:27Speaker 9: a little bit missed by this situation with Loyola and
- 52:30Speaker 9: the lourela Phoenix newspaper. I'm looking at it online right now,
- 52:35Speaker 9: and in the article towards the towards the end, it says,
- 52:39Speaker 9: I quote, according to police report, Medina is a Venezuelan
- 52:43Speaker 9: immigrant that has been living in the country illegally, according
- 52:48Speaker 9: to Pressureley. So if they issued her an apology, why
- 52:51Speaker 9: is this still up on their website?
- 52:54Speaker 2: Well, newspaper, who knows, they forgot to change the website.
- 52:57Speaker 2: They put it out again, but they forgot to change it.
- 52:58Speaker 2: It's a crazy crazy The ridiculous. These college newspapers, these colleges,
- 53:03Speaker 2: they're all just ridiculous. Let's go to Steve in Bergen County. Steve,
- 53:08Speaker 2: how you doing all right?
- 53:10Speaker 11: Mark?
- 53:10Speaker 2: How's it going good?
- 53:13Speaker 4: Mark? I want to just bring up this whole thing
- 53:15Speaker 4: about this TSA situation and unnecessary bureaucracy that was created
- 53:20Speaker 4: sadly after nine to one one with some fake necessity
- 53:24Speaker 4: to have government employees doing the actual security screening at
- 53:27Speaker 4: the airports. I actually did that exact job as a
- 53:31Speaker 4: sixteen year old at Lax Airport. I work for security
- 53:34Speaker 4: seventy six. I'm a retire federal employee. Know all about
- 53:38Speaker 4: the way they're trained and everything else. Ninety nine percent
- 53:41Speaker 4: of what they learned as OJT. This should be contracted out.
- 53:44Speaker 2: Yeah, No, I agree with you. You know there are
- 53:46Speaker 2: twenty two airports right now in America that don't use
- 53:49Speaker 2: these TSA guys. They use private security companies. Twenty two
- 53:52Speaker 2: airports and they're fine. They weren't affected by the shutdown.
- 53:55Speaker 2: Didn't have any effect on me. You're right, More, more
- 53:57Speaker 2: and more should use private contractors. Let's go to is
- 54:00Speaker 2: it gup in Denville, New Jersey?
- 54:04Speaker 15: Good morning, Mark, Yes, taking my call.
- 54:06Speaker 6: Hey, I want to preface my point with I think
- 54:09Speaker 6: it's very impressive that your screener doesn't even ask what
- 54:12Speaker 6: we want.
- 54:12Speaker 14: To talk about.
- 54:13Speaker 2: We don't care.
- 54:15Speaker 6: Hey, I don't think this is rocket science an idea
- 54:19Speaker 6: for your buddy Ed Rollins or Republican campaigners in general.
- 54:23Speaker 6: You know, these vemituous court rulings and all these sanctuary
- 54:28Speaker 6: cities that opened the violence, Why don't they just come
- 54:31Speaker 6: up with the slogan and use it and educate the
- 54:35Speaker 6: low information voters.
- 54:36Speaker 15: Hey, Democrats own this.
- 54:40Speaker 2: Oh you're right, you know, listen, the messaging has been
- 54:42Speaker 2: terrible on baff of Republicans. That's why they love. Democrats
- 54:46Speaker 2: love keeping this shutdown going. They think it's hurting Republicans
- 54:49Speaker 2: and they may not be wrong. Republicans have not gotten
- 54:52Speaker 2: out in front of public relations wise on this. Hey,
- 54:54Speaker 2: when we come back, The Great Jimmy Fail a very funny,
- 54:57Speaker 2: great show every night at nine. We'll talk to him
- 55:00Speaker 2: next on seven to ten WR mister Neil.
- 55:04Speaker 5: York mart Simone on WR.
- 55:10Speaker 2: Well, Jimmy Phylah the Great Talk show hosts them fabulous comedian.
- 55:14Speaker 2: You know, he does an excellent show here every night
- 55:16Speaker 2: at nine o'clock Tonight nine to midnight every weeknight nine
- 55:20Speaker 2: to midnight. Wr You'll love it. He also on the
- 55:23Speaker 2: weekend Saturday Night does the best late night talk show
- 55:26Speaker 2: in television, Saturday Night's at ten, Fox News Channel Best
- 55:30Speaker 2: monologue in TV. Donald Trump watches the show. He loves
- 55:33Speaker 2: it and has tweeted about it every Saturday Night on
- 55:36Speaker 2: Fox at ten. Jimmy Fayla, how you doing.
- 55:40Speaker 5: I'm fat and drunk because I went to Patsy's the
- 55:43Speaker 5: other night nice and pound for pound is the best
- 55:48Speaker 5: food you're gonna eat anywhere. Okay, I love Patty's. But
- 55:50Speaker 5: what I did not know about Patsy because I've been
- 55:52Speaker 5: reading about it since I was five, is they refill
- 55:55Speaker 5: a wine glass like they're a fraternity brother. So I
- 56:00Speaker 5: went there and was just having what I thought with
- 56:02Speaker 5: a substantive conversation about showbiz and life and politics. And
- 56:07Speaker 5: by the end of it, I went from talking to
- 56:09Speaker 5: one people to seeing three people at my pages.
- 56:12Speaker 9: Yeah, but I was.
- 56:13Speaker 5: I was able to I was able to stuff, veal,
- 56:16Speaker 5: chop my way out of it. So it was a
- 56:18Speaker 5: week man. Good for them.
- 56:20Speaker 9: Well.
- 56:20Speaker 2: Check out Jimmy Faylo's Instagram you can see pictures of
- 56:22Speaker 2: him at Patsy Sala Courus the great owner, and you
- 56:26Speaker 2: got to see all the Sinatra memorabilia and stuff there. Yeah,
- 56:31Speaker 2: it was.
- 56:31Speaker 5: It was crazy to me because you understand, like I
- 56:33Speaker 5: grew up in Levintown on Long Island, and I loved
- 56:36Speaker 5: gossip pages like Liz Smith, Cindy Adams, page six, all
- 56:40Speaker 5: that stuff, and they always talk about passies. And every
- 56:43Speaker 5: Sinatra book I've ever read talks about passies. Of course,
- 56:45Speaker 5: Johnny Carson' books took post. Everybody talks about passy. So
- 56:47Speaker 5: I've never went. So that was like my actual Mayflower,
- 56:51Speaker 5: except they didn't have turkey on the boat. They had veal.
- 56:54Speaker 5: But it was so good. I've been I have. I've
- 56:58Speaker 5: been singing their praises as good. But I gotta stop
- 57:00Speaker 5: talking about it because Wardrobe, you know this. I'm not
- 57:03Speaker 5: supposed to be eating carbs Monday through Friday. In big
- 57:06Speaker 5: trouble over here. I'm gonna get fined.
- 57:07Speaker 2: Next time order the Sinatra meal, Sala will make it
- 57:11Speaker 2: for you. No, it's not that good. The food at
- 57:13Speaker 2: Patsy's is phenomenal. It's great. But he always had I
- 57:16Speaker 2: didn't think I don't think he had the best taste
- 57:18Speaker 2: in food. He always liked this plain, dried out stuff.
- 57:20Speaker 14: It was.
- 57:22Speaker 5: But that's also why like he's he's you know, he's
- 57:24Speaker 5: a skinny singer. You know, that's a Sinatra was definitely
- 57:29Speaker 5: drinking his calorie. You know, if you order the Sinatra drink,
- 57:34Speaker 5: they bring you a funnel. It doesn't come in a glass.
- 57:38Speaker 5: So I think it's a different I think it's a
- 57:39Speaker 5: different animal. But yeah, I just just I loved it
- 57:42Speaker 5: so much, so I had this thing their praises.
- 57:43Speaker 2: Yeah, it was a famous Don Rickles loved Patsies. Everybody
- 57:46Speaker 2: loved all the great comedians. You know, when you when
- 57:50Speaker 2: you walk in those pictures on the wall, it's like
- 57:51Speaker 2: comedians you forgot about from like the fifties and sixties
- 57:54Speaker 2: and great stuff. Yeah, well, right.
- 57:57Speaker 5: Right now, the only comedian anyone's forgetting about is Jimmy Kimmel.
- 58:01Speaker 2: Now, Jimmy Kimmel got in all kinds of trouble. He's
- 58:03Speaker 2: putting down Mark Wayne Mullen because he used to be
- 58:05Speaker 2: a plumber. Why I thought was it wasn't Jimmy Kimble
- 58:08Speaker 2: a blue collar guy himself?
- 58:09Speaker 5: At one point, I mean, you'd think Jimmy Kimmel would
- 58:12Speaker 5: want a plumber around just to get his ratings out
- 58:14Speaker 5: of the toilet. You guys need a plumber over there
- 58:19Speaker 5: at ABC, Like my show is more popular than Jimmy
- 58:22Speaker 5: Kimmel's show. That's not supposed to happen. Like I'm not kidding,
- 58:25Speaker 5: I'm not I am not special.
- 58:27Speaker 2: Report over here.
- 58:28Speaker 5: I am special at Okay, I'm having a nice time
- 58:31Speaker 5: on the TV. I am not supposed to be taken seriously.
- 58:35Speaker 5: And they took as you know, a legacy network medium
- 58:40Speaker 5: and destroyed it, like Late Night has been destroyed, like
- 58:44Speaker 5: it's not coming back, and I'm not happy about that
- 58:46Speaker 5: because I worshiped it growing up and I hate like
- 58:49Speaker 5: I'm like a survivor like me and Guttfelder doing normal
- 58:52Speaker 5: numbers okay, that late night hosts are supposed to do.
- 58:54Speaker 5: We'll not know what's doing a Johnny Carson number, obviously,
- 58:57Speaker 5: because Johnny Carson was the you know, the greatest guy
- 59:00Speaker 5: ever do this And there were like eight channels when
- 59:02Speaker 5: he was on, but he was that good that he
- 59:04Speaker 5: would have been the biggest guy in any era with
- 59:06Speaker 5: any amount of channels. But the point is, those guys
- 59:09Speaker 5: aren't doing our job, Like our job is comedy when
- 59:13Speaker 5: you think of Rodney Dangerfield, especially on the Tonight Show, okay,
- 59:16Speaker 5: because it's really where he would kill the hardest, you know,
- 59:19Speaker 5: is you'd watch him break Johnny into nothing and it
- 59:22Speaker 5: was just so funny to watch because you could feel
- 59:24Speaker 5: the impact of the punchline. And Rodney's catch phrase was
- 59:28Speaker 5: I don't get no respect. It was not I know
- 59:30Speaker 5: more about border security than Mark Wayne Mullin does. Like
- 59:34Speaker 5: that crazy to me. You're a clean like, what are
- 59:37Speaker 5: you even doing?
- 59:38Speaker 15: You know, stand your lane?
- 59:40Speaker 5: And it just drives me nuts.
- 59:41Speaker 7: Man.
- 59:42Speaker 2: Yeah, cauln You imagine if Rodney came out to the
- 59:44Speaker 2: Trump was a fascist. It's no kings, Democracy's on the boat.
- 59:55Speaker 13: Who would have killed it?
- 59:57Speaker 2: Who was it? It was Vince Fond the other day said,
- 59:59Speaker 2: try to watch late night TV. I don't want to
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: be yelled at. I don't want to be lectured. I
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: don't want to be scolded. It's an arrogant kind of thing.
- 1:00:06Speaker 15: Isn't it.
- 1:00:07Speaker 5: Yes, And that's that's what's wrong with it for real.
- 1:00:10Speaker 5: It's not that it's political, it's that it's purposeful. Political
- 1:00:14Speaker 5: is fun. You can make fun of politicians. I do
- 1:00:16Speaker 5: it every Saturday night, Okay, But at no point do
- 1:00:19Speaker 5: I stop talking and go. And that's why we have
- 1:00:22Speaker 5: to vote this way. That's a purpose, you know what
- 1:00:25Speaker 5: I'm saying. And that's what they've turned late night into.
- 1:00:28Speaker 5: They've turned late night into five nights a week with
- 1:00:31Speaker 5: that one aunt who ruins Thanksgiving, you know, And you
- 1:00:35Speaker 5: don't want that, you just you don't want that out
- 1:00:37Speaker 5: of the medium. And we're not supposed to et comics. Again.
- 1:00:41Speaker 5: We shouldn't look down on people because we are the fools.
- 1:00:45Speaker 5: I mean, that's what the origin of a comedian is.
- 1:00:49Speaker 5: The guy that was juggling for the Emperor, you know,
- 1:00:52Speaker 5: the fool the king, Bring me my fool, you know
- 1:00:55Speaker 5: that whole thing. Yea, and again walk You know this,
- 1:00:57Speaker 5: When you get into comedy, they pay you in chicken
- 1:00:59Speaker 5: fingers and drink the first five years, and the chicken
- 1:01:03Speaker 5: figures keep coming, but they usually take away the Drakes
- 1:01:05Speaker 5: tags by.
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: Year six to thomics.
- 1:01:07Speaker 5: Oh, but that's the point. We're not supposed to get
- 1:01:10Speaker 5: up there and act like we know better. The whole
- 1:01:13Speaker 5: point of our existence is to make you feel better
- 1:01:15Speaker 5: about the fact that none of us know what we're doing.
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: Yeah, Well, if you want to see how late night
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: shows supposed to look. Watch Jimmy Fayla Saturday nights at
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: ten Fox News Channel, and it's the best monologue in television.
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: It's long, and it's it's bipartisan. You go after both sides, right,
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: which what you're supposed to do? Oh god, yeah, like
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: we did.
- 1:01:33Speaker 5: We did eight minutes last week on Christy Nolman whatever
- 1:01:35Speaker 5: it was the week she got fired. Last week I
- 1:01:37Speaker 5: was yelling at John Soon for not passing the Stay Act.
- 1:01:40Speaker 5: But Trump likes it because he wants to be laughed at.
- 1:01:43Speaker 5: You know what I'm saying. He wants like in a
- 1:01:45Speaker 5: perfect world for him, Okay, the late night shows would
- 1:01:48Speaker 5: make fun of him all day like they were roasting someone.
- 1:01:51Speaker 5: They just wouldn't be like trying to stop him, you know.
- 1:01:56Speaker 5: And that's the thing my show. If you hated Fox,
- 1:01:59Speaker 5: if you hated Okay, you shouldn't hate me because you
- 1:02:02Speaker 5: can never hate me as much as I hate myself.
- 1:02:03Speaker 5: I mean, come on, man, But the point is my
- 1:02:06Speaker 5: show is just syrup. Okay, We're just taking the news
- 1:02:10Speaker 5: and we're putting a lot of syrup or honey or
- 1:02:12Speaker 5: whatever the heck you want to tell me is on there,
- 1:02:14Speaker 5: just to make it like a fun house mirror version
- 1:02:17Speaker 5: of the news. That's all it is. It's like you're
- 1:02:19Speaker 5: watching the week recap if it was fun instead of
- 1:02:22Speaker 5: the world was on fire.
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: Yeah. The other reason Trump loves it it reminds him
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: of Johnny Carson, Don Rickles, that kind of stuff. It's
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: good that kind of feel too. You can listen to
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: Jimmy Taylor too nine to midnight every night on w
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: o R nine to midnight. Hey, this is decision about
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: meta Facebook YouTube that it's their fault the poor girls
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: or victims they got addicted? Are they really victims? I mean,
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: just turn it off, don't look at it. Isn't it
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: that simple?
- 1:02:50Speaker 11: Yeah?
- 1:02:51Speaker 5: I never understood that either. I don't think because I
- 1:02:54Speaker 5: didn't grow up in that era. I always laugh when
- 1:02:57Speaker 5: I hear about cyber bullying because I'm like, just shut
- 1:03:00Speaker 5: off the freaking you know, like go outside. It's amazing
- 1:03:04Speaker 5: how a lot of our problems are social media problems,
- 1:03:09Speaker 5: you know, Like look at politics. The issues we're fighting
- 1:03:13Speaker 5: over are the same. We're just doing it differently because
- 1:03:16Speaker 5: the guy you disagree with now lives in your pockets
- 1:03:19Speaker 5: twenty four hours a day, in your phone. But it's
- 1:03:21Speaker 5: like if everyone just walked out the freaking door watch
- 1:03:24Speaker 5: in a while, looked around. I know it's get a
- 1:03:27Speaker 5: little bit less safe and mom Donnie's New York. But
- 1:03:29Speaker 5: you can try. You get out there and live a
- 1:03:31Speaker 5: little bit, you know, give the world a chance.
- 1:03:33Speaker 16: Man.
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: Yeah, hey, what about Iran? President thinks maybe two and
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: a half more weeks. Do you think that that's it?
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: It'll be over soon?
- 1:03:42Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean it's not looking good. I mean that
- 1:03:44Speaker 5: we what are they on their third eye a tola?
- 1:03:47Speaker 5: I don't even know what's happening. It's like every every
- 1:03:50Speaker 5: one of these other liberal outlets like to get on
- 1:03:52Speaker 5: TV and say it's chaos.
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: We don't know what they're doing.
- 1:03:55Speaker 5: I'm like, their eye atola is on a milk carton
- 1:03:58Speaker 5: right now, like they they didn't know what I like,
- 1:04:01Speaker 5: how are you going to tell me? In what world
- 1:04:03Speaker 5: are they winning the war? If we couldn't find a
- 1:04:05Speaker 5: president in this country for three weeks and it's happened
- 1:04:08Speaker 5: with Biden. But I'm just saying, since get chaotic when
- 1:04:12Speaker 5: it goes down.
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: That way, well, Jimmy Paylo Hates on every night nine
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: to midnight on w O What do you Have Tonight?
- 1:04:19Speaker 5: On the show, Ooh, it's Thursday night, so understand we're
- 1:04:24Speaker 5: getting a little crazy to night. I'm bringing in just
- 1:04:26Speaker 5: two comedians that are going to be on my TV
- 1:04:28Speaker 5: show this weekend, and we're just gonna make fun of
- 1:04:31Speaker 5: the news.
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: That's all it is.
- 1:04:32Speaker 5: You got Ryan, Ryan Reese. I'm getting Mick Thomas on
- 1:04:34Speaker 5: They Commas, a great Irish comment from Long Island, and
- 1:04:37Speaker 5: I want to talk to him about the U two
- 1:04:39Speaker 5: Springsteen protest tour. Did you see Springsteen's going on tour?
- 1:04:44Speaker 5: It starts. He's starting Tuesday night in Minneapolis. That's where
- 1:04:47Speaker 5: the Springsteen start tarts starts. And the good news is, like,
- 1:04:52Speaker 5: you know, a lot of Springsteen's fans have kids, obviously,
- 1:04:55Speaker 5: but Minneapolis is perfect because they've got five hundred empty Somali.
- 1:04:58Speaker 2: Daycare, so your kid will be great. Well, listen tonight
