- 0:05Speaker 1: of the studio in New York and I got a
- 0:08Speaker 1: nice little treat for us. We have special guests Justin
- 0:11Speaker 1: Richberg in the building.
- 0:14Speaker 2: Yeah, and how do I say? I want to mess
- 0:17Speaker 2: it up again? And animator animator.
- 0:20Speaker 3: Animator, illustrator, writer loud mouth, I'll snitch.
- 0:26Speaker 1: I love it, I love it all. I've been tracking
- 0:28Speaker 1: Justin for some years. I was in his d MS
- 0:32Speaker 1: almost immediately, like all the time are you following, commenting,
- 0:37Speaker 1: trying to get an interview with you for a long time.
- 0:40Speaker 1: I think everything you do is pretty impressive and amazing,
- 0:43Speaker 1: Like literally looks like a gift from God.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Himself gave it to you.
- 0:48Speaker 1: So finally, what it took two years, two years a
- 0:52Speaker 1: cool manager to make this happen. You came in from Philly,
- 0:56Speaker 1: Thank you so much, and I was like, what you're
- 1:00Speaker 1: gonna have us eating today?
- 1:02Speaker 2: You chose basic disc go ahead, tell everybody.
- 1:06Speaker 3: Yeah, so we want to have take these glasses off,
- 1:10Speaker 3: thank you. Mm hmmm, so we want to have a
- 1:13Speaker 3: cup of noodles.
- 1:14Speaker 1: A couple of noodles. You guys were specific. You was
- 1:16Speaker 1: like Nissan Nissan.
- 1:18Speaker 3: Because listen, like you see the bonnet on. I came
- 1:21Speaker 3: in like we're gonna keep it straight hood today, you
- 1:22Speaker 3: know what I'm saying.
- 1:23Speaker 1: Okay, hood Megan, Okay, so let's pour some water in
- 1:50Speaker 1: this uh, this Nissan. I I literally was going around
- 1:53Speaker 1: the store like does it say that brand?
- 1:55Speaker 4: Does?
- 1:56Speaker 2: Is there a reason? A rhyme to the reason?
- 2:00Speaker 3: Yeah, because like okay, you know, it means a lot
- 2:03Speaker 3: to me because like you know, I spend up like
- 2:06Speaker 3: late nights like doing my work and things like that.
- 2:09Speaker 3: You know, it's like one of the things like it's
- 2:12Speaker 3: always like there. You know what I'm saying, And it
- 2:16Speaker 3: means a lot. You know what I'm saying when you're
- 2:17Speaker 3: coming up and like you don't really got much you.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Know that water that would be good.
- 2:25Speaker 1: So when you eat your noodles, do you like them
- 2:27Speaker 1: super soggy or kind of like noodley like hard?
- 2:32Speaker 5: I keep them like super soggy, you know what I'm saying.
- 2:35Speaker 3: Then after a while, I like to pour out the
- 2:38Speaker 3: water and like not all of it, and then you
- 2:41Speaker 3: know I like to dump some hot sauce in that john.
- 2:43Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying, I go crazy with the
- 2:45Speaker 3: hot sauce sometimes, Like.
- 2:47Speaker 2: You didn't say that, you know the way you.
- 2:51Speaker 5: Know, it's one of the things.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Saying okay, okay, So take me back to what was
- 2:57Speaker 1: going on in the well what air, because I know
- 3:00Speaker 1: everyone still eats this right every once in a while.
- 3:02Speaker 2: You probably have a late ninety eat this right.
- 3:04Speaker 1: Yeah, And so take me back to the beginning era
- 3:08Speaker 1: of you with the noodles, where it was a necessity.
- 3:13Speaker 5: I will say.
- 3:16Speaker 3: Where I start, I'd say like two thousand and fourteen,
- 3:21Speaker 3: cause you know I previously talked about like dealing with
- 3:24Speaker 3: like mental health issues, and when I started to get
- 3:28Speaker 3: my like my mind back, you know, I ended up
- 3:31Speaker 3: having like developed mental health issues, like straight out of
- 3:33Speaker 3: high school, and it got kind of severely worse around
- 3:37Speaker 3: like nineteen and then you know, like I was out
- 3:39Speaker 3: of it, like real bad. Like you know when you
- 3:41Speaker 3: see like those people walking around aimlessly in the streets.
- 3:44Speaker 3: I was like one of those people. But you know,
- 3:46Speaker 3: my mom so happened like to catch it early because
- 3:48Speaker 3: mental illness runs in my dad's side of the family.
- 3:51Speaker 1: When you say mental illness or can you are you
- 3:53Speaker 1: comfortable saying like what kind.
- 3:55Speaker 3: Because yeah, bipost cause friend I was you, I was
- 3:58Speaker 3: diagnosed by post gets a friend. You know, my mom
- 4:02Speaker 3: found me home one day and she ended up like
- 4:05Speaker 3: three or two in me, like to help me out. Luckily,
- 4:07Speaker 3: she really caught it early because the same thing happened
- 4:10Speaker 3: with one of my cousins on my dad's side, but
- 4:13Speaker 3: she was fourteen, but her mom didn't pay attention to it.
- 4:16Speaker 3: And now like to this day, she's like fifty something
- 4:18Speaker 3: years old, and you know she needs people to take
- 4:21Speaker 3: care of her. That could easily have been me, and
- 4:23Speaker 3: my mom didn't catch it early. You know, I like,
- 4:27Speaker 3: I give all grace.
- 4:27Speaker 5: To my mom.
- 4:29Speaker 1: But schizophrenia, I thought that it comes later. No, for
- 4:33Speaker 1: some reason, I thought it comes like at like around
- 4:36Speaker 1: like early.
- 4:38Speaker 5: I think what I think? What does?
- 4:39Speaker 3: Like it comes from stress and not talking. You know
- 4:43Speaker 3: what I'm saying because like my stepfather, he had died
- 4:45Speaker 3: when I was ten years old, and you know, it's
- 4:48Speaker 3: like I used to be like a bubbly purse, a
- 4:49Speaker 3: little bubbly kid and things like that, and then you
- 4:52Speaker 3: know it's like I just became like super mildtone and
- 4:54Speaker 3: stopped caring about life.
- 4:55Speaker 5: So it's like a ten year old.
- 4:58Speaker 3: Yeah, I gave up on life at like ten year
- 5:00Speaker 3: years old, but you know, he was my everything. And
- 5:02Speaker 3: then like the way he passed, you know, and I
- 5:05Speaker 3: didn't get a chance to see him like get buried.
- 5:09Speaker 3: So just like all that time, and they know, it's
- 5:12Speaker 3: like as you're not yourself no more, so you allow
- 5:14Speaker 3: people to bully you and things like that. And you know,
- 5:18Speaker 3: but through that whole time, I was drawing. That's all
- 5:21Speaker 3: I cared about, you know what I'm saying, Like it
- 5:23Speaker 3: got like really bad. Like as soon as like seventh
- 5:26Speaker 3: grade came around, they put me like in the LD classes.
- 5:29Speaker 3: So I was in there from like all learn disability. Yeah,
- 5:33Speaker 3: so they put they put they put you, they put
- 5:36Speaker 3: you in they put me in there. But the only
- 5:37Speaker 3: thing I kept on doing was just drawing. That was
- 5:39Speaker 3: a thing that was like keeping me like going. But
- 5:41Speaker 3: you know, but I wasn't talking to nobody. My mom
- 5:44Speaker 3: tried to get me talk to therapists and things like that,
- 5:46Speaker 3: but it wasn't working. And then you know, all that
- 5:48Speaker 3: like accumulated and then boom just blowed at that point
- 5:52Speaker 3: and then.
- 5:53Speaker 1: Uh, and what was everyone saying about your drawings at
- 5:55Speaker 1: the time? Where they were they as great as they were.
- 5:59Speaker 3: You know, it's like you know people say like, oh
- 6:01Speaker 3: that's cool, Oh draw me. No, people wasn't like really
- 6:03Speaker 3: like you know, thinking like too much about it because
- 6:08Speaker 3: you know, everybody draws, because it's not like one of
- 6:10Speaker 3: those things that people think it's like a career path
- 6:12Speaker 3: you can take.
- 6:13Speaker 5: You get what I'm saying.
- 6:13Speaker 1: Yeah, but some kids, like even I'll see, like I
- 6:16Speaker 1: have a three year old, but I'll see like some
- 6:17Speaker 1: kids like my daughter, I'm not trying to throw shade,
- 6:21Speaker 1: but like I don't think she has like the little artist,
- 6:23Speaker 1: but because she just scribbles all over things. But I
- 6:26Speaker 1: see some kids where they color in the lines really early,
- 6:28Speaker 1: and I'm like, oh.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Shit, what's that.
- 6:31Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean I don't know. I just know like
- 6:34Speaker 3: from my vibecane, you know, like I grew up in
- 6:35Speaker 3: North Philly. I went to Gillespie and then Simon Gratz
- 6:41Speaker 3: and then you know, it's like those schools are basically
- 6:43Speaker 3: like I can saider them like kind of like prisons
- 6:46Speaker 3: that you stay in from you know what I'm saying,
- 6:47Speaker 3: from like seven to like three wing and get out.
- 6:50Speaker 4: Wow.
- 6:50Speaker 3: Yeah, that's why I consider it as at least like
- 6:52Speaker 3: for my interpretation of it when I was paying attention.
- 6:55Speaker 3: But I just was just drawing, you know what I'm saying,
- 6:57Speaker 3: and they know it's like you know, after you know,
- 7:01Speaker 3: like the whole incident happened, because I couldn't tell you
- 7:04Speaker 3: what I was doing from nineteen to twenty two. The
- 7:05Speaker 3: only thing I remember was when I did come to.
- 7:09Speaker 3: I woke up on one of those like mentally come
- 7:13Speaker 3: trying to like put it in your head visually, because
- 7:15Speaker 3: like just imagine nineteenth birthday and then like in the
- 7:19Speaker 3: instant and you're blink and then you're on like windows
- 7:23Speaker 3: like white buses with all the other mentally challenged people.
- 7:26Speaker 3: Oh my god, and I'm looking around trying to figure
- 7:28Speaker 3: out what's going on. And then you know, as you know,
- 7:31Speaker 3: as I figured out, oh, this is my reality, you know.
- 7:35Speaker 3: And then at this point too, I was three hundred
- 7:36Speaker 3: pounds because of the medication that kept put me on
- 7:40Speaker 3: with all the water weight, and you know that's when
- 7:45Speaker 3: you know, drawing was still a thing I was still
- 7:47Speaker 3: doing that was keeping me like bringing me slowly together
- 7:51Speaker 3: as my mind came back.
- 7:52Speaker 5: And also too, you know.
- 7:53Speaker 3: I had like good friends like around the way that
- 7:56Speaker 3: was always there for me, and that's honestly what brought
- 8:01Speaker 3: me back. That's why I'm always like strong on like
- 8:03Speaker 3: community and friends, because you know, it's like, if we
- 8:07Speaker 3: had more like real people around us, we wouldn't need
- 8:09Speaker 3: therapists and things like that. One thing you needed, just
- 8:11Speaker 3: somebody to talk to, Like you know, like when you
- 8:13Speaker 3: talk to some people, it's like, oh, I don't want
- 8:15Speaker 3: to I need to keep my peace. I don't want
- 8:17Speaker 3: to have you get to me and things like that,
- 8:19Speaker 3: you know, like none to ask niggas like that. You
- 8:20Speaker 3: know what I'm saying. It's like, if you have more
- 8:23Speaker 3: I know what to talk about. That's so sad, but
- 8:25Speaker 3: I do. Yeah, yeah, you know what I'm saying, Cause
- 8:27Speaker 3: it's like those ain't like real like people. You know,
- 8:29Speaker 3: they're like people at the moment. They won't be around
- 8:31Speaker 3: forever anyway. But it's like, if people have more people
- 8:34Speaker 3: like that, you know what I'm saying, It's like we
- 8:35Speaker 3: wouldn't need therapists and things like that.
- 8:37Speaker 5: Always give a salute to John j R.
- 8:40Speaker 3: Alvin Daryl Reggie, you know, of course, my mom, you
- 8:45Speaker 3: know what I'm saying, and you always give them salot
- 8:48Speaker 3: and then you know as we come to this, you know,
- 8:51Speaker 3: I was like eating you know what I'm saying, eating
- 8:53Speaker 3: cup noodles a lot while I draw. You know, it's
- 8:56Speaker 3: like it was just quick to make you know what
- 8:58Speaker 3: I'm saying, while I just stay on my computer.
- 9:01Speaker 5: And just draw.
- 9:02Speaker 3: So yeah, and that's what kept That's what kept me going.
- 9:06Speaker 3: That's why this is so like monumental to me, because
- 9:09Speaker 3: I didn't, like necessary grow up in a bad household
- 9:11Speaker 3: my mom, you know what I'm saying. She, you know,
- 9:13Speaker 3: worked he stuff to death basically to like keep me comfortable.
- 9:18Speaker 2: Did you have any other siblings or just.
- 9:20Speaker 5: No, only child?
- 9:21Speaker 3: I got a half brother and half sister, but I
- 9:23Speaker 3: don't I don't really speak with them.
- 9:25Speaker 2: Okay, are they older? Yeah, big age gap, age gap.
- 9:29Speaker 1: Okay, so your mom's like a single mom after your dad?
- 9:33Speaker 3: Yeah, my my, but then my uh my real father.
- 9:37Speaker 3: He came into my life like around thirteen, but he
- 9:39Speaker 3: didn't make things better. He made things worse. He just
- 9:41Speaker 3: passed this year. You know, I love him, but you
- 9:44Speaker 3: know it's like you know, alcohol and everything else. You
- 9:48Speaker 3: know what I'm saying, Like, you love that more than
- 9:51Speaker 3: you know you loved your own son. So I don't know.
- 9:55Speaker 2: So did you ever tell him that.
- 9:57Speaker 3: I mean, it's only so much you can talk to
- 9:58Speaker 3: a person, you know. I don't know, It's just it's
- 10:03Speaker 3: just a sad thought one just like think about that.
- 10:04Speaker 3: But yeah, even even back then, when I think about
- 10:07Speaker 3: it now, I was like eating cup noodles then, like
- 10:10Speaker 3: when he would like leave me in the apartment to go,
- 10:13Speaker 3: Like I remember one one night we were near a
- 10:16Speaker 3: supermarket and he had like a forty ounce and I
- 10:18Speaker 3: was like probably twelve or thirteen, and you know, I
- 10:21Speaker 3: didn't wanted to drink. So you know, it's like when
- 10:23Speaker 3: he went into the supermarket, I grabbed a bottle and
- 10:25Speaker 3: then put it out on the not I didn't throw
- 10:28Speaker 3: it out by just like rolled it out of the
- 10:29Speaker 3: car because you know, I didn't want to have it
- 10:31Speaker 3: make a lot of noise. And then we came back
- 10:33Speaker 3: to the apartment. He made me cup noodles, and then
- 10:36Speaker 3: he couldn't find it, and then he left me in
- 10:38Speaker 3: the apartment for hours on end, looking looking for his
- 10:43Speaker 3: looking for his bottles.
- 10:45Speaker 2: Wow. Yeah, and during all this you're still drawing.
- 10:49Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, so you get out, let's be so what
- 10:53Speaker 1: what age do you get out? Of the mental Uh,
- 10:56Speaker 1: twenty two twenty two, okay, and what year is this?
- 11:03Speaker 5: I think I think twenty twelve.
- 11:06Speaker 1: Twenty twelve, so between twenty twelve because I found out
- 11:10Speaker 1: about you probably like on the cusp of the pandemic, right, yeah,
- 11:14Speaker 1: which obviously you've been rolling. But when did you start
- 11:16Speaker 1: seeing like an uptick in your.
- 11:18Speaker 3: Art two twenty thirteen, two thousand.
- 11:28Speaker 2: Oh you started posting it that?
- 11:30Speaker 4: That?
- 11:30Speaker 3: Yeah, I started. I started out. I started on Facebook
- 11:33Speaker 3: because like there was a guy that discovered me on
- 11:35Speaker 3: Facebook and then was Trizzy the Mouth. It was like
- 11:38Speaker 3: one of my first managers. Like, you know, he's a
- 11:40Speaker 3: real good guy. You taught me like how to you know, uh,
- 11:46Speaker 3: real people in with the art. So just like its
- 11:49Speaker 3: first time me saying this, but it's like all right,
- 11:54Speaker 3: say it.
- 11:58Speaker 5: All right.
- 11:58Speaker 3: So it's like the way I do my art is
- 12:00Speaker 3: like how a pimp reals in women. I'm so I'm
- 12:05Speaker 3: being by being dead serious. I'm being dead serious. I'm
- 12:09Speaker 3: being I'm being dead serious because this is the way
- 12:10Speaker 3: I was. It's like you get get them, you get
- 12:15Speaker 3: them comfortable, you know what I'm saying, and then like
- 12:17Speaker 3: once you get them to a certain point, then you
- 12:20Speaker 3: can start asking for favors and things like that. You know,
- 12:25Speaker 3: like I'm like a manipulator. But you know, the only
- 12:27Speaker 3: reason I gave that example because I was around people
- 12:29Speaker 3: like that, And that's the best example I can give
- 12:32Speaker 3: right right now off top of hip.
- 12:36Speaker 1: Well, I guess if your father was also like in addiction,
- 12:39Speaker 1: I'm pretty are manipulation, you know, Like.
- 12:42Speaker 3: You know, I grew up in like North Philly hang
- 12:44Speaker 3: out like a whole bunch of like different characters, you
- 12:46Speaker 3: know what I'm saying. So just like it's just a
- 12:48Speaker 3: whole people I don't hang out with now because like
- 12:51Speaker 3: you know, those people only like last for a certain
- 12:53Speaker 3: period of time, you know what I'm saying. You know,
- 12:55Speaker 3: It's like I known people that got killed all types
- 12:58Speaker 3: of all types of ship like that you saying. That's
- 13:00Speaker 3: why it's like, you know, it's like you know, it's
- 13:03Speaker 3: like it's a lot of those things like motivates to like,
- 13:06Speaker 3: all right, I don't want to be around these people.
- 13:08Speaker 3: I just want to just draw and you know, and
- 13:12Speaker 3: that's when I started, like you know, posting things on Facebook.
- 13:15Speaker 3: And then like I said, it's like I started learning
- 13:16Speaker 3: like okay, Like okay, I understand Oh, like this makes
- 13:20Speaker 3: people react like this, This makes people react like that.
- 13:22Speaker 3: So you know, a lot is like trial and error,
- 13:24Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying. Then while like you know,
- 13:26Speaker 3: like understanding like oh, you need a team of people
- 13:28Speaker 3: to help out, and you know, like he put that
- 13:31Speaker 3: mindset in my heads, like you know, you need a
- 13:32Speaker 3: team of people to do things, you know what I'm saying.
- 13:35Speaker 1: And you know what kind of things was he talking
- 13:38Speaker 1: about just on the management side, because he was trying
- 13:40Speaker 1: to manage you or.
- 13:41Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yes he was because like he was
- 13:43Speaker 3: he wasn't manager for a period of time. But it's
- 13:47Speaker 3: just like try on error, you know what I'm saying.
- 13:51Speaker 3: That's really about it. Just try and error until you
- 13:55Speaker 3: just figure things out, you know what I'm saying, because
- 13:57Speaker 3: like I don't know, it's hard, it's hard to it's
- 14:00Speaker 3: like really just trying to error to figure out what.
- 14:01Speaker 5: People want, you know, get feedback.
- 14:03Speaker 1: From people you're like paying attention to, like the numbers,
- 14:06Speaker 1: the comments everything.
- 14:07Speaker 3: Yeah, and then that's when I started to develop like
- 14:09Speaker 3: a business mind. So but you know the issue is
- 14:12Speaker 3: with that when you like developing a business mind and
- 14:14Speaker 3: then you're also creative and start to clash. Like after
- 14:17Speaker 3: a while, you start to think too much about a
- 14:19Speaker 3: lot of things, and then you know you also learn
- 14:22Speaker 3: like who to trust and not to trust when you
- 14:24Speaker 3: send things out to people. So like, well this around,
- 14:26Speaker 3: like I think twenty fifteen, I think I was like
- 14:30Speaker 3: really into like you know, asking people, hey, what you think,
- 14:32Speaker 3: what you think? What you think, and then for.
- 14:34Speaker 2: You before you post or yeah, before I post.
- 14:37Speaker 3: But then I stopped doing that, like stop being so
- 14:39Speaker 3: trusting in people because I started getting like a bad
- 14:43Speaker 3: name about myself, like on the internet, because all right,
- 14:47Speaker 3: boom right. So I was doing this drawing of there
- 14:50Speaker 3: was a topic drawing. I like doing topic drawings or
- 14:52Speaker 3: like real stuff. So you know, it's like it was
- 14:54Speaker 3: like a simple thing.
- 14:54Speaker 4: You know.
- 14:55Speaker 3: It's like you see like some parents like they brag
- 14:56Speaker 3: about like yo, oh my kid can do this and
- 14:59Speaker 3: that when they're baby, you know what I'm saying, but
- 15:01Speaker 3: then like they're trying to growing up and just like
- 15:04Speaker 3: just be like.
- 15:06Speaker 5: Just a nobody.
- 15:08Speaker 3: Yeah, but the drawing wasn't done and the person put
- 15:11Speaker 3: me out there to.
- 15:12Speaker 5: Be a colorist for whatever reason.
- 15:15Speaker 3: Yeah, So that's why I just stopped like sharing things
- 15:17Speaker 3: with people for something that's done, and then it got
- 15:20Speaker 3: like real bad on Twitter and people will start this
- 15:24Speaker 3: when you start like understanding like how people try to
- 15:26Speaker 3: cancel people, Yeah, and it's like try to separate. Oh
- 15:29Speaker 3: he puts light skinned women in this light and put
- 15:31Speaker 3: dark skinned women in dislight.
- 15:32Speaker 5: It was like it was real bad.
- 15:33Speaker 3: It was like you know, normally on the internet like
- 15:35Speaker 3: things like last like three days a week back, this
- 15:38Speaker 3: lasts like for a whole month.
- 15:39Speaker 5: It was real. It was real bad.
- 15:41Speaker 2: And then how do you react when you see those
- 15:42Speaker 2: negative comments? Do you do? You do you internalize them?
- 15:45Speaker 3: Or when you first start dealing with that Because I'm
- 15:48Speaker 3: a type of person things don't bother me. But it's
- 15:50Speaker 3: like when it's constantly in your face over and over
- 15:52Speaker 3: and over, it will start to get to you. And
- 15:54Speaker 3: you know that is what and from what from something
- 15:58Speaker 3: like that happened to me that inspired me, like to
- 15:59Speaker 3: me my first character Kayla, Kayla.
- 16:03Speaker 4: Kyla.
- 16:17Speaker 2: Kyla.
- 16:18Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, I got into that and I like that
- 16:22Speaker 1: pivot there. I like that pivot. So you get into Kaylea.
- 16:25Speaker 1: But now we're in twenty twenty four and you're just
- 16:27Speaker 1: now are you just now releasing Kayla?
- 16:30Speaker 4: Right?
- 16:30Speaker 3: Now, No, I've been I've been putting I've been putting
- 16:31Speaker 3: the character out since two thousand and nineteen.
- 16:36Speaker 5: But you know, I was like slowly working on it.
- 16:38Speaker 5: You know.
- 16:38Speaker 3: It's like I'm a kind of perfectionist in a way.
- 16:40Speaker 4: You know.
- 16:40Speaker 3: It's like I said, like the business mind, I want
- 16:42Speaker 3: to know, okay, what works for this and that. You
- 16:45Speaker 3: know what I'm saying, a lot of times you only
- 16:46Speaker 3: got like the first impression. Yeah, a lot of times
- 16:49Speaker 3: we don't get a lot of do overs. So like
- 16:51Speaker 3: to go into like explain Kayla. You know, it's like
- 16:53Speaker 3: it's made for like people that love manga and anime,
- 16:56Speaker 3: so something like specific like she's meant for the showing
- 16:59Speaker 3: and jump like demographic. And then I say, like the
- 17:03Speaker 3: shownan jump demographic basically shown jump means like comics for
- 17:08Speaker 3: teenage boys in Japanese basically, And you know, when I
- 17:12Speaker 3: see you online, you know, everybody loves the moon docks
- 17:14Speaker 3: and things like that, you know, and I was like
- 17:18Speaker 3: the only thing, what's the last thing we had was
- 17:20Speaker 3: the Boon docks. I'm like, all right, let me just
- 17:21Speaker 3: make something like that. And my first showed Kayla to
- 17:26Speaker 3: Charlemagne and what did he think he liked it? But
- 17:32Speaker 3: you know, it's like it just I guess it just
- 17:34Speaker 3: wasn't ready, so so, you know, and then after a while,
- 17:38Speaker 3: like around the pandemic, I decided like, or I'll just
- 17:40Speaker 3: start like making books, you know, making chapters. I felt
- 17:44Speaker 3: nineteen chapters through the course of like a year or two.
- 17:48Speaker 3: And when I felt the first chapter, NBC reached out
- 17:53Speaker 3: to me. Complex the Complex website, uh, Netflix, this animation
- 18:03Speaker 3: studio called Powerhouse that made he Man in Castlevania, And.
- 18:08Speaker 2: What are you thinking when they're reaching out to you?
- 18:11Speaker 3: It was it was, it was, it was amazing. But
- 18:14Speaker 3: then like you start to realize, like you start understanding
- 18:17Speaker 3: like this field, it's like people will reach out to you,
- 18:20Speaker 3: but not like to immediately help you out there, just
- 18:22Speaker 3: want to wait and see, you know. And that's like
- 18:25Speaker 3: and then you know, like once you get into like
- 18:27Speaker 3: things like that, you know, it's like.
- 18:31Speaker 5: You questioned it at first. It's like it's my.
- 18:33Speaker 3: Stuff not good, it's not good enough, Like what's it missing?
- 18:36Speaker 3: It's like just people just waiting for something to happen,
- 18:39Speaker 3: to reach to you. Were they even giving you direction though?
- 18:42Speaker 3: When they're waiting, No, it's like I even talked to
- 18:45Speaker 3: like one of the creators of the moon Docks. It
- 18:48Speaker 3: was like that that was a that was a high
- 18:50Speaker 3: for me other than like I mean, I mean, I mean,
- 18:54Speaker 3: I had multiple highs. I did animated commercial Italian what
- 18:58Speaker 3: was it? Italian commercial? He has a Titian amate commercial
- 19:01Speaker 3: for McDonald's. I did the Breakfast Club art studio.
- 19:04Speaker 1: Then backtrack, how did you end up first crossing past
- 19:07Speaker 1: with Charlotte Magne.
- 19:09Speaker 3: He was following me for a little bit and then
- 19:11Speaker 3: I put out this drawing called Dice Game. And then
- 19:14Speaker 3: once Dice Game came out, Charlomagne shared it, but he
- 19:17Speaker 3: shared it in a sarcastic way. But you know, when
- 19:18Speaker 3: you're reading sarcasm, you think somebody's really angry about it
- 19:22Speaker 3: type shit, you know what I'm saying. And then it's
- 19:24Speaker 3: up spreading around. And then Donald Glover in the reaching
- 19:27Speaker 3: out to me and he ended up putting I mean
- 19:30Speaker 3: it's people did, and then he ended up putting it
- 19:32Speaker 3: on Atlanta. Yeah, the art working up on Atlanta, and
- 19:36Speaker 3: then he asked me to like work on feel Like
- 19:38Speaker 3: Summer Video and that was my first like job that
- 19:40Speaker 3: like you know, started everything.
- 19:44Speaker 1: And what was what was your like thought process, Like
- 19:46Speaker 1: when you're getting this first gig, I was, how are
- 19:53Speaker 1: you sitting?
- 19:54Speaker 2: Where were you doing?
- 19:55Speaker 3: What was that I was in? I was in Pittsburgh, PA,
- 19:58Speaker 3: on the farm dating a mixed race girl, stressing, stressing
- 20:07Speaker 3: the funk.
- 20:07Speaker 2: Out over the girl.
- 20:09Speaker 5: She was yelling at me and all that she had
- 20:11Speaker 5: anger issues.
- 20:12Speaker 2: That's hilarious.
- 20:13Speaker 3: Yeah, I loved it though, but that's all I always
- 20:15Speaker 3: ended up running to mean girls.
- 20:16Speaker 2: Okay, so you're MPa.
- 20:18Speaker 1: You get this call Pittsburg, Pittsburgh in the middle of nowhere,
- 20:22Speaker 1: in the middle of nowhere, Yes, on a farm, on
- 20:25Speaker 1: a farm.
- 20:27Speaker 3: With a tornado warning going on, by the way, You.
- 20:30Speaker 1: Get this call in the shade in the shed, okay,
- 20:34Speaker 1: and what are you thinking? Are you thinking like I
- 20:37Speaker 1: don't belong here, Like this is not where I'm meant
- 20:39Speaker 1: to be when you get that call.
- 20:43Speaker 5: I don't know, it's kind of weird to say.
- 20:44Speaker 3: It's like, I don't really get too excited about a
- 20:46Speaker 3: lot of things because those prior things I told you about,
- 20:48Speaker 3: So you know what I'm saying, Like I believe it
- 20:50Speaker 3: wants to start. And then once he paid me, like
- 20:52Speaker 3: my first half, I was like, oh shit, this is
- 20:54Speaker 3: a thing.
- 20:54Speaker 2: And this was like even when you got the contract before,
- 20:57Speaker 2: you weren't.
- 20:57Speaker 3: Like you know, people give you contracts and then like
- 21:01Speaker 3: things don't start, you know. But yeah, I was super
- 21:05Speaker 3: excited and then I didn't think about I didn't bring
- 21:08Speaker 3: my computer or nothing because I was just.
- 21:09Speaker 2: On, like, you're hilarious.
- 21:11Speaker 3: I was.
- 21:11Speaker 5: I was. I was on a bake. I was on
- 21:13Speaker 5: a vacation.
- 21:15Speaker 4: I was.
- 21:15Speaker 5: I was on the baking.
- 21:16Speaker 3: You were just visiting her, Yeah, I just I was
- 21:18Speaker 3: just forcefully had had to go. I'll talk about that
- 21:23Speaker 3: another time. But anyway, all right, so boom right the empery. Yeah,
- 21:28Speaker 3: but anyway, I had to improvise, right, so boom right,
- 21:30Speaker 3: I had to. I was saying, like, yo, what we
- 21:32Speaker 3: gotta go to the store. I just got like a
- 21:33Speaker 3: whole bunch of paper and just drew out all the
- 21:36Speaker 3: characters minu right. It was like I think it was
- 21:38Speaker 3: about like sixty nine like characters. I had to drew
- 21:41Speaker 3: for the not just like one angle, a couple of
- 21:44Speaker 3: angles too. That was like vicious crazy, yeah, all on
- 21:48Speaker 3: all on paper. I think that was like when when
- 21:50Speaker 3: that bio came out two thousand and eight, So yeah,
- 21:52Speaker 3: two thousand eighteen eighteen. It was like really the last
- 21:55Speaker 3: time I really drew on paper like that before I
- 21:58Speaker 3: went like fully digital, Like yeah, it was like I
- 22:00Speaker 3: knocked that drawn. I only had like two weeks to
- 22:02Speaker 3: like finish everything in like sixty like all those drawings.
- 22:06Speaker 2: Who was the first question you call? You get the call?
- 22:08Speaker 2: Did you call your mom?
- 22:11Speaker 4: No?
- 22:11Speaker 3: I wouldn't think about it. I just went like into
- 22:13Speaker 3: work Yeah, went to work mode.
- 22:14Speaker 2: Wow, I'm saying because like different.
- 22:16Speaker 3: Yeah, cause ragging going on? No, cause like you know this,
- 22:21Speaker 3: this is a passion of minds. I didn't know that,
- 22:23Speaker 3: Like you know, I end up getting discovered by a
- 22:25Speaker 3: manager off of Facebook of all that is like I
- 22:27Speaker 3: would never known that. Like people want paid me money
- 22:29Speaker 3: to do these things, like it's a blessing. It's like
- 22:31Speaker 3: this is myself.
- 22:32Speaker 2: Was the check looking like if you don't mind.
- 22:34Speaker 3: It was, I got paid eight thousand dollars. That was first,
- 22:36Speaker 3: Like that was like my first big check. But then
- 22:39Speaker 3: like the thing that came from it though, is like
- 22:40Speaker 3: people think that you're rich off of doing just like
- 22:42Speaker 3: one thing like that was the weird thing.
- 22:46Speaker 2: And you had a manager then uh, why I mean you.
- 22:50Speaker 5: Make eighteen This was privately. Yeah, it was right before.
- 22:55Speaker 3: That was right before I met him, and uh, but
- 23:00Speaker 3: the biggest thing I took away from that once I did,
- 23:02Speaker 3: like meet meet him, like, I do multiple things.
- 23:05Speaker 5: You know, I write. You know what I'm saying, Like,
- 23:08Speaker 5: I literally, I literally do like everything.
- 23:10Speaker 3: You're a great writer too, Yeah, thank you, and you
- 23:13Speaker 3: know because he does a lot of things too. And uh,
- 23:17Speaker 3: when I went backstage to talk to him about that,
- 23:19Speaker 3: he just told me this is the biggest advice. I
- 23:21Speaker 3: didn't believe him at the time, but now I understand.
- 23:23Speaker 3: You just said, do it work for you, like in
- 23:25Speaker 3: the moment, and then once it slows down, go on
- 23:27Speaker 3: to the other things. I didn't understand that at first.
- 23:30Speaker 2: It was like Don Glover, OK, yeah, okay, that's good advice.
- 23:34Speaker 3: Yeah, but I didn't believe him at first. I was
- 23:36Speaker 3: like him, like, nah, like that, that can't be true.
- 23:39Speaker 3: You can do everything, but no, you eventually have burnout.
- 23:42Speaker 3: So so yeah, so you do the project. Did you
- 23:45Speaker 3: end up getting any burnout?
- 23:47Speaker 4: No?
- 23:48Speaker 3: Like, because I was like, I was on ten because
- 23:51Speaker 3: after that, you know, that's when I met Charlotmagne and
- 23:54Speaker 3: then I got to be on the Brilliant Idiots twice.
- 23:56Speaker 3: That was that was a big thing twice, and I
- 23:59Speaker 3: got like like one of the biggest moments on uh
- 24:04Speaker 3: when I first went on there, because I just be saying,
- 24:05Speaker 3: like there's anything out of my mouth for like a
- 24:07Speaker 3: lot of times, especially like when you get like moments
- 24:09Speaker 3: like that, it's like, oh, I'm probably not gonna have
- 24:11Speaker 3: another chance. Let me just say some nuts ship just
- 24:13Speaker 3: like just to get people talking, because it's one thing
- 24:15Speaker 3: I know I do. I know I get people's attention.
- 24:17Speaker 3: So I'm like, all right, let me just do that.
- 24:19Speaker 3: I know, like people work type I'm saying. And then yeah,
- 24:23Speaker 3: every and then after that, everything start to like pile on.
- 24:26Speaker 3: Like I said, like I did like a lot of jobs.
- 24:29Speaker 3: I did something for Tree songs like and make commercial
- 24:31Speaker 3: trade song, did something for Bobby's murder, even even like
- 24:35Speaker 3: till now, like doing something for a new balance the army, and.
- 24:43Speaker 1: They're reaching out. I'm is your manager working the phones
- 24:47Speaker 1: NonStop too.
- 24:48Speaker 3: But of course but then also too, they just naturally
- 24:52Speaker 3: reached out to me because I put out product that
- 24:54Speaker 3: people you know what I'm saying.
- 24:56Speaker 5: And now right now I'm in.
- 24:57Speaker 3: The point in my life where it's like I'm trying
- 24:59Speaker 3: to package it because you know my end goals, I
- 25:01Speaker 3: want my own movie studio. Okay, yeah, so that's what
- 25:05Speaker 3: I really want.
- 25:06Speaker 5: So it's like right now, it's a pivotal time.
- 25:07Speaker 3: That's why I like my character Kla is so important
- 25:09Speaker 3: because trying to show that I know how to make
- 25:12Speaker 3: products that people want to buy. Like I said, I
- 25:14Speaker 3: put out nineteen chapters like during the pandemic through that
- 25:17Speaker 3: whole year, Like I said, all those people reached out
- 25:19Speaker 3: to me in the beginning, you know what I'm saying.
- 25:21Speaker 5: So I did that first.
- 25:23Speaker 3: So it's like once I start doing the animations, like
- 25:25Speaker 3: people have like things so they can get hooked on,
- 25:27Speaker 3: and then you know, her following start to go up
- 25:29Speaker 3: because she has seventy thousand followers on Instagram almost ten
- 25:33Speaker 3: thousand one TikTok and like a lot of stuff go viral.
- 25:37Speaker 5: Like you know what I'm saying. I love it.
- 25:39Speaker 4: You know.
- 25:39Speaker 3: It's like my whole thing is like I really want,
- 25:41Speaker 3: like you know, black girls to be like represented in
- 25:44Speaker 3: that field authentically. That's why I came in authentically with
- 25:47Speaker 3: buying on authentically.
- 25:51Speaker 2: Let's see if the is soft.
- 25:57Speaker 3: There's another reason for that too, because like last month.
- 26:02Speaker 3: It was like, basedly the worst month of my life
- 26:05Speaker 3: honestly because uh, I started so I don't know the
- 26:14Speaker 3: best way to put this. So I started developing heart problems.
- 26:16Speaker 2: I seen that online, like a little bit of it.
- 26:19Speaker 1: I was scrolling why this will affect it?
- 26:23Speaker 5: Mm hmm.
- 26:24Speaker 1: No.
- 26:25Speaker 3: But it's my first time like touching it in like
- 26:27Speaker 3: a couple of months, which is sad. Made me sad
- 26:30Speaker 3: because so I ran to my ex recently. She wanted
- 26:35Speaker 3: to meet up with me. Yeah, I was no, no,
- 26:38Speaker 3: and you know, I was relucted. I was reluctant at first.
- 26:40Speaker 3: It's like, why do you want to meet up with me?
- 26:42Speaker 3: And like all right, and then we and then we're
- 26:44Speaker 3: chilling by the closure, yeah, by the art museum and
- 26:47Speaker 3: Philly type type time you I'm saying. She gave me
- 26:50Speaker 3: a hug, right, and she was like, oh, like your
- 26:52Speaker 3: heart is beating fast. You must miss me. I'm like,
- 26:54Speaker 3: we're talking about.
- 26:56Speaker 2: And then your stories are good?
- 26:58Speaker 3: Yeah, And then the next day and then next day,
- 27:00Speaker 3: you know, I started feeling like these hard ass heart
- 27:03Speaker 3: I never noticed my heart beat before. It's like boom boom,
- 27:06Speaker 3: like it's feeling beating out my chest. Yeah, and then
- 27:10Speaker 3: you know, I said up, I ended up going to
- 27:11Speaker 3: the doctor, and then he ended up telling me go
- 27:14Speaker 3: to like the ear nose and throat doctor, and you know,
- 27:16Speaker 3: I go to the you know, do the cat scans
- 27:18Speaker 3: or whatever the heart layer on in the month type ship.
- 27:22Speaker 3: And then you know, I go to ear nose and
- 27:23Speaker 3: throw doctor. I've been hearing like a posting sound in
- 27:25Speaker 3: my in my left ear. So I ended up finding
- 27:27Speaker 3: out that I ended up losing like slight hearing loss
- 27:29Speaker 3: in my left ear. You know, I hear the heart
- 27:32Speaker 3: beat sound in my left ear. And then I went
- 27:34Speaker 3: to the you know, after I next went to the
- 27:37Speaker 3: throat doctors opened up my mouth. The nurse went like
- 27:39Speaker 3: oh wow, and then immediately brung in the doctor and
- 27:42Speaker 3: the other nurses and I had like a uh, I
- 27:46Speaker 3: don't know I was called, but was like I think
- 27:47Speaker 3: a pulp or something like that. It's like a little
- 27:50Speaker 3: ball like being back in your mouth. And you know,
- 27:53Speaker 3: he was being like really nonchalant about it. It was like
- 27:55Speaker 3: kind of weird, and he's like, you know, we can
- 27:57Speaker 3: cut it out if you want, but we don't.
- 27:58Speaker 5: You know what I'm saying, it's up to you. I
- 28:00Speaker 5: was like just cut it out and then cut.
- 28:02Speaker 3: It out and and then a couple of days later,
- 28:08Speaker 3: That's why I made my posts. So I thought like
- 28:11Speaker 3: my mouth was dry when I was waking up, but
- 28:14Speaker 3: then end up going to the bathroom and to find
- 28:16Speaker 3: out like my mouth was like.
- 28:17Speaker 2: Full on black.
- 28:19Speaker 3: That's how much blood was like coming out of my mouth.
- 28:21Speaker 5: And then I got rushed to the er.
- 28:23Speaker 3: Yeah, because the wound had like bust open and from
- 28:26Speaker 3: them cutting it out. No, this was a couple days
- 28:28Speaker 3: after it was healing. I wasn't allowed to eat anything.
- 28:31Speaker 3: So this whole so like this whole month just passed
- 28:34Speaker 3: like like I couldn't eat solid food or nothing like
- 28:37Speaker 3: that type. And then you know, it took them from
- 28:41Speaker 3: like whether it was like six in the morning until
- 28:43Speaker 3: three pm for them to stop the bleeding. But this
- 28:45Speaker 3: whole time, you know, my mom was there with me.
- 28:47Speaker 3: My whole right side was turning cold. The security guard
- 28:51Speaker 3: at the hospital kept on trying to get me to
- 28:52Speaker 3: sit down, kept on telling like, no, if I sit down,
- 28:54Speaker 3: I'm not waking up. And that was right because when
- 28:57Speaker 3: the nurses came into the drawing the sea me. So
- 29:00Speaker 3: I sat down, my head was like like that type
- 29:03Speaker 3: ship like kep going up, like because I lost a
- 29:07Speaker 3: lot of blood. Jesus, yeah, I lost I lost a lot.
- 29:10Speaker 2: So it's like your first real Yeah, it was.
- 29:12Speaker 5: Like a first real scare.
- 29:13Speaker 3: I mean think about you can say technically, because you know,
- 29:16Speaker 3: the mental health stuff happened early on and then this
- 29:18Speaker 3: next and then you.
- 29:19Speaker 5: Know, it's like I went back up.
- 29:21Speaker 3: You know, they finished, they fixed everything, you know what
- 29:24Speaker 3: I'm saying, got the bleeding and stopping all that, and
- 29:27Speaker 3: then you know, I ended up going back to you know,
- 29:29Speaker 3: the doctor next week, told them about it and things
- 29:31Speaker 3: like that, and it's like, oh, that's not supposed to happen. Like, no, ship,
- 29:33Speaker 3: that's not supposed to fucking happen, dickad you know what
- 29:36Speaker 3: I'm saying. But but yeah, and then he's gonna drop
- 29:40Speaker 3: a bombshell on me. Oh yeah, so tests came back
- 29:43Speaker 3: you don't got cancer, and like cancer, Like, how you
- 29:45Speaker 3: gonna leave that away from somebody, you know what I'm saying,
- 29:47Speaker 3: at least tell me about it.
- 29:50Speaker 2: What did they say?
- 29:51Speaker 3: It was basically from something like that. It's like that's
- 29:55Speaker 3: how basically cancer would start, oh through mouth, like with
- 29:58Speaker 3: that pulp in the back of your mouth.
- 30:00Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 30:00Speaker 3: So I always tell everybody just go to the doctor's
- 30:02Speaker 3: type time. You know what I'm saying, because you never know. Yeah,
- 30:05Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying.
- 30:06Speaker 1: So is this your first official like meal from drinking
- 30:09Speaker 1: slurpees or something?
- 30:10Speaker 5: No?
- 30:10Speaker 3: No, no, no, no, no milkshakes, no, no no, because
- 30:13Speaker 3: it's like it's still it's still a lot going on.
- 30:15Speaker 3: Because then like after after that, went to the heart
- 30:18Speaker 3: doctor and the final out, I got like heart pomplitation something,
- 30:21Speaker 3: so it's like rapidly start beating type ship and then
- 30:24Speaker 3: he heard like a clicking sound there. So I still
- 30:27Speaker 3: got to do more testing and things like that and
- 30:30Speaker 3: also find out, oh after.
- 30:32Speaker 5: All that, oh you got high you got high cholesterol.
- 30:35Speaker 3: Now after all that, so it's like the other thing
- 30:37Speaker 3: that made me sad because it's like I really can't
- 30:39Speaker 3: do what I want to do. So, like you know
- 30:41Speaker 3: what I'm saying. So it's like it's like it's really
- 30:43Speaker 3: frush straight.
- 30:45Speaker 2: You'll fit right in with the vegetable eaters. Yeah, the
- 30:48Speaker 2: no salts and sugar people.
- 30:50Speaker 5: Don't know y'all do it?
- 30:51Speaker 2: Well, I don't do it.
- 30:53Speaker 5: I was.
- 30:53Speaker 3: I was when I found out that I can't you
- 30:56Speaker 3: can't eat this. You can't drink that. I was crying.
- 30:58Speaker 3: I was swinging like I got and take this no.
- 31:01Speaker 1: More, no need Jesus, we need to have you around.
- 31:03Speaker 1: So you better eat all the vegetables and the salads, y'all.
- 31:07Speaker 1: I could tell your crew thorough. The manager, he's probably
- 31:09Speaker 1: every time you look at a steak, he's probably he's
- 31:13Speaker 1: a sad.
- 31:13Speaker 2: Here's some oatmeal I pulled.
- 31:15Speaker 5: I pulled stick out my back pocket and eat it.
- 31:18Speaker 2: Oh no, I don't know. So during this whole, like.
- 31:23Speaker 1: This career, were there any dips, like real solid dips
- 31:27Speaker 1: in between.
- 31:28Speaker 3: I'm currently going through a dip right now.
- 31:31Speaker 2: Really.
- 31:31Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 31:32Speaker 3: So it's like last year I made like one hundred
- 31:35Speaker 3: grand through uh commission work. But then AI came around,
- 31:41Speaker 3: and that's the big thing that you know, it's like
- 31:43Speaker 3: messing up with AI too.
- 31:45Speaker 2: Yeah, what happened?
- 31:46Speaker 3: What happened?
- 31:46Speaker 2: What AI doing to you?
- 31:48Speaker 3: You know, people think that like you can do everything
- 31:51Speaker 3: through AI, which isn't you know, because you know the
- 31:54Speaker 3: way these companies do, they like make everything seem like
- 31:57Speaker 3: it's really that way, really isn't you know what I'm saying.
- 32:00Speaker 3: And now people starting to come back along and it's
- 32:02Speaker 3: like all right, like these things really can't do. And
- 32:04Speaker 3: then plus people want that authentic feeling even more.
- 32:07Speaker 1: Yeah, how are they going to AI like your level
- 32:09Speaker 1: of creativity? Though, I mean, I guess it's I guess
- 32:14Speaker 1: it's semi possible, but yeah, you would miss a lot
- 32:16Speaker 1: of the authenticity.
- 32:17Speaker 5: I mean, it can't. You know what I'm saying. It can't.
- 32:21Speaker 3: You're always gonna need that human touch because don't get
- 32:23Speaker 3: me wrong, it's like I like AI. I like AI too,
- 32:26Speaker 3: but it's saying, but I only use it to like
- 32:28Speaker 3: what it's supposed to be used for. It is like
- 32:30Speaker 3: a background tool, not something to replace, like say, like
- 32:32Speaker 3: if I'm writing a script or something like that, right,
- 32:34Speaker 3: I'll uh have it cleaned up for me a script
- 32:38Speaker 3: form for I show it to somebody. That's how That's
- 32:41Speaker 3: how you're supposed to use it. You know what I'm saying.
- 32:43Speaker 3: It's a lot of And then like, man, it's like,
- 32:47Speaker 3: so you're saying.
- 32:48Speaker 2: Your dip is coming from the AI.
- 32:50Speaker 3: It was Now it's picking up. But the thing I
- 32:53Speaker 3: was about to go on about AI, the thing that
- 32:55Speaker 3: makes it so sad about AI, Like in the creative field,
- 32:57Speaker 3: you don't know who's talented.
- 33:10Speaker 5: Because people rely on it so much.
- 33:12Speaker 3: So say that for example, right, like me, I can
- 33:15Speaker 3: come over a concept or something and then draw it
- 33:18Speaker 3: out right and show somebody like I'll show like a
- 33:21Speaker 3: quick sketch like Okay, this's the example of what you
- 33:22Speaker 3: should do, but do it in your way, interpret in
- 33:25Speaker 3: your way. But because of AI, a lot of these
- 33:28Speaker 3: people can't even do that. They're just literally like because
- 33:31Speaker 3: what you can do with AI is like, okay, I'll
- 33:32Speaker 3: take a road light sketch of something like it, say like,
- 33:36Speaker 3: I'll like make a bullshit image of this room and
- 33:38Speaker 3: then you know, put into one of the prompts, type
- 33:40Speaker 3: in the prompt and then boom, it'll make it for you. Right,
- 33:43Speaker 3: But when it comes to animation, you really can't do that,
- 33:47Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying, SEC you do three D
- 33:49Speaker 3: or something like that, right, It's like, if I'm asking
- 33:51Speaker 3: you to do something that's really like detail oriented, you're
- 33:53Speaker 3: not gonna be able to do it because A I
- 33:55Speaker 3: don't allow those things like that because AI spew out
- 33:57Speaker 3: random images so you so.
- 34:00Speaker 1: It's never always it's never even perfect or AI it's
- 34:02Speaker 1: not consistent either.
- 34:03Speaker 3: Because like it's just taking from things on the why.
- 34:05Speaker 1: Your business picking back up. They tried it and they
- 34:07Speaker 1: realized it wasn't.
- 34:08Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, but it's not.
- 34:09Speaker 3: It's not just them you're talking about when you're just
- 34:11Speaker 3: trying to find the right people to fit your team.
- 34:13Speaker 3: So because of that, it makes it harder to find
- 34:16Speaker 3: the right people, especially like when you end up like
- 34:19Speaker 3: getting a relationship with these people you like them that
- 34:21Speaker 3: get in the final Wow, man, like you you're fraud
- 34:25Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying.
- 34:26Speaker 1: So, like, if you're working with a company and they
- 34:27Speaker 1: have their own team, you're working with them, you find
- 34:30Speaker 1: out that maybe they're not no, no.
- 34:31Speaker 3: No, it's like this okay, So like these companies will
- 34:34Speaker 3: reach out to you and they know you got your
- 34:35Speaker 3: own team of artists that work with you.
- 34:37Speaker 2: Right, so you have your own team, Yeah, I.
- 34:39Speaker 5: Got my own team like animators.
- 34:40Speaker 3: But the issue is with that, it's like I don't
- 34:42Speaker 3: know that they don't use AIS. So now I ask
- 34:45Speaker 3: a question, do you rely on AI a lot?
- 34:47Speaker 5: Because you do? I can't.
- 34:48Speaker 3: I can't rock with you because you're not a creative
- 34:50Speaker 3: and because that you'll end up making me look bad
- 34:53Speaker 3: and I got to take over your work.
- 34:57Speaker 1: But now, how do you wouldn't they just lie. Huh,
- 35:03Speaker 1: wouldn't they just lie?
- 35:04Speaker 5: What do you mean by lie?
- 35:05Speaker 1: Like and just say that they they wouldn't they just
- 35:08Speaker 1: lie and just be like Yeah, I don't use AI
- 35:10Speaker 1: really just to get on your team.
- 35:12Speaker 5: But you know, it's like I do like a vetting process,
- 35:14Speaker 5: you know.
- 35:14Speaker 3: I use my YouTube channel, like, hey, like help me
- 35:16Speaker 3: out with some like projects online or something like that,
- 35:19Speaker 3: some quick things, you know what I'm saying.
- 35:21Speaker 2: And that's the way, like you're like test them on
- 35:22Speaker 2: the spot.
- 35:23Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 35:24Speaker 3: But but even but even still, it's just like just
- 35:27Speaker 3: the crib community just getting bad out here. When it
- 35:30Speaker 3: comes to that, I'm just afraid, like years down the line,
- 35:34Speaker 3: like people are not gonna be able to do nothing.
- 35:38Speaker 1: Well, I don't like to backtrack, but take me back
- 35:41Speaker 1: to like your original inspiration that got you into drawing,
- 35:44Speaker 1: because I know it helped you hope through things, But
- 35:47Speaker 1: like where was that first initial seed?
- 35:49Speaker 3: You like things like Naruto, dragon Ball, dragon Ball Z.
- 35:54Speaker 3: You know, the generics of everybody. Everybody, Like you know
- 35:56Speaker 3: what I'm saying, people some people like one piece, you
- 35:58Speaker 3: know I'm saying. I watched a lot of cartoon cartoon network.
- 36:01Speaker 3: I was a cartoon network kid. Yeah, just like all
- 36:05Speaker 3: those things. But my style really comes from Dragon Ball
- 36:09Speaker 3: from dragon Ball Z because like the way you draw
- 36:12Speaker 3: the pupils, the ears. That's why I'm really like big
- 36:15Speaker 3: on yeah like that. And then what a thing that
- 36:19Speaker 3: taught me style was was bleach. You never heard of bleak? No,
- 36:25Speaker 3: I don't expect you to know Bleach is? You know
- 36:26Speaker 3: what bleach it is? Chris IF's smiling so hard?
- 36:29Speaker 2: Are you laughing so hard?
- 36:31Speaker 5: I can see the gap between his teeth.
- 36:32Speaker 1: He's smiling so hard talking behind the camera. So what
- 36:40Speaker 1: are the next projects you have coming out?
- 36:43Speaker 3: Right now? You know it's right now? The real main
- 36:47Speaker 3: thing is Kayla because that's my spider Man. Okay, yeah,
- 36:51Speaker 3: so I'm putting my all into that. So it's like
- 36:53Speaker 3: I'm working on a one it's called a one shot,
- 36:56Speaker 3: so it's going to be sixty something pages.
- 37:00Speaker 2: You know.
- 37:01Speaker 3: Were putting out trailers for it and all that, treating
- 37:04Speaker 3: like it's a real thing, you know what I'm saying.
- 37:06Speaker 3: And then I plan on turn it into a short
- 37:08Speaker 3: film eventually. But yeah, like I'm not going to be
- 37:11Speaker 3: doing like no more like regular like videos of the
- 37:15Speaker 3: moment type thing. I really want to take this stuff
- 37:17Speaker 3: to another level. So I'm doing like treating like all
- 37:20Speaker 3: my animations when I put them out.
- 37:22Speaker 5: Like short films.
- 37:23Speaker 2: I like that.
- 37:23Speaker 3: Yeah, So it's like all my videos going to be filmed,
- 37:26Speaker 3: gonna have that short film vibe. You know, I'm gonna
- 37:28Speaker 3: be submitting them into film festivals.
- 37:30Speaker 2: But so, how how long would a short film be?
- 37:32Speaker 4: For you?
- 37:33Speaker 3: A short film can be any lanth It can be
- 37:35Speaker 3: a minute to six minutes, ten minutes, it doesn't it
- 37:38Speaker 3: doesn't matter.
- 37:39Speaker 2: Are you going to charge your fans to watch it?
- 37:43Speaker 3: No? No, I'm not going to.
- 37:46Speaker 5: I don't believe in like things like that, you know
- 37:48Speaker 5: what I'm saying.
- 37:49Speaker 2: Not in the same way, by the way, I don't.
- 37:50Speaker 3: Yeah, it's just weird because it's like it's even hard
- 37:53Speaker 3: to like even make them like a Patreon because it's
- 37:55Speaker 3: like it's like i'd rather like sell you merch you know,
- 37:59Speaker 3: once I convince you that that you'd like to product
- 38:02Speaker 3: that much, you want to support me in that way
- 38:04Speaker 3: firstus like doing something like that. So I'm back and
- 38:06Speaker 3: forth with it. But yeah, like all next year, you know,
- 38:09Speaker 3: it's going to be like just promoting Kayla just all
- 38:13Speaker 3: just all around gotten too much crazy feedback. People like
- 38:16Speaker 3: her a lot, and now it's like for me to
- 38:17Speaker 3: put my.
- 38:18Speaker 1: Stamp on it, and then how are you going to
- 38:20Speaker 1: distribute it and all that?
- 38:23Speaker 5: You know online?
- 38:24Speaker 3: Probably do something like bookstore releases and just everything, because
- 38:28Speaker 3: like I said, it's like I really you know, people
- 38:31Speaker 3: really feeding for a new Boon Docks and it's not
- 38:33Speaker 3: like a Boon Docks or anything like that. I'll break
- 38:35Speaker 3: it down a little bit. So it's basically it's around
- 38:39Speaker 3: h zodiac signs. Their powers around zodiac signs. Right, So
- 38:43Speaker 3: say like I'm an Eries for instance, Right, so it's
- 38:45Speaker 3: like my zodiac ability would be around flames and rage,
- 38:50Speaker 3: anything doing with rage.
- 38:53Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 38:53Speaker 3: But we we we hard hitted straight to the point.
- 38:57Speaker 3: I'm straight to a point right now, go to the bad.
- 39:00Speaker 2: From you know what I'm saying your whole okay.
- 39:03Speaker 5: Yeah, but yeah, but that's how it goes. You know,
- 39:05Speaker 5: It's like I made it.
- 39:05Speaker 4: You know.
- 39:06Speaker 3: It's like like I said, it's for that demographic of
- 39:08Speaker 3: people that like things like juice to Kaisen. You don't
- 39:11Speaker 3: know that is no.
- 39:14Speaker 2: Stop at a bunch of things.
- 39:17Speaker 3: I want to say whole things like I'm saying, like
- 39:19Speaker 3: juice Kaisen, Uh, you know what I'm saying. People that
- 39:22Speaker 3: love just ain'tthing dealing with that shown in genre, except
- 39:26Speaker 3: you know, it's just a girl that has like a
- 39:29Speaker 3: feisty attitude of a you sky what you say?
- 39:36Speaker 5: What you you're a MESHI?
- 39:39Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, I don't know. Look I'm still a fan
- 39:43Speaker 1: and I don't know these things.
- 39:44Speaker 3: So yeah, you'll pop up, You'll pop up in the book.
- 39:47Speaker 5: I'll draw you. I'll draw you.
- 39:48Speaker 6: Know.
- 39:48Speaker 2: If you do that, I promise you, I would be
- 39:50Speaker 2: so hyped, like little kid.
- 39:51Speaker 5: You'll be one.
- 39:52Speaker 3: You'll be one of the agents. Okay, I'll go in
- 39:53Speaker 3: a little bit further with with it. Right, So it's
- 39:55Speaker 3: like it's a secret agency called the Core. So think
- 39:58Speaker 3: of like it's the Men in Black type world where
- 40:02Speaker 3: it's like you gotts like deal with like monsters that
- 40:04Speaker 3: people can't see.
- 40:06Speaker 5: Yeah, so and.
- 40:07Speaker 3: You know how like the government be like people like
- 40:10Speaker 3: compiracy theories. I can't yeah, where ITAs like they make
- 40:15Speaker 3: things up, say like for example, in this world, right,
- 40:18Speaker 3: a big, a big explosion goes off, right, but you
- 40:21Speaker 3: know in this world is about like monsters you can't see.
- 40:24Speaker 3: But you know, like the Core, the Men in Black type,
- 40:28Speaker 3: they're you know, they're covering things up.
- 40:29Speaker 5: So you seeing the news about like, oh, like.
- 40:33Speaker 3: A pipe burst or something like that the cause this,
- 40:35Speaker 3: So it's like really like the monsters. Yeah, yeah, so
- 40:43Speaker 3: it's really it's really like that. And her thing is
- 40:45Speaker 3: like collecting all like collecting all the orbs so she
- 40:49Speaker 3: can like power up to go against yeah, orbs. I
- 40:55Speaker 3: think they'll be nice key chains and plushies for people.
- 40:58Speaker 2: What's your sign, Aquaris, I'll send you one, by the way.
- 41:02Speaker 1: Yeah, that's why we get along so well.
- 41:05Speaker 2: I didn't know that they are right there. What did
- 41:07Speaker 2: you say anywhere?
- 41:09Speaker 5: Angry?
- 41:09Speaker 2: Angry?
- 41:09Speaker 5: Yeah, to the point.
- 41:11Speaker 2: I don't really know a lot of angry aries.
- 41:13Speaker 5: You're talking to angry areas right now.
- 41:17Speaker 2: I'm shi. When's your birthday? You know what.
- 41:21Speaker 1: Maybe it's the ones that are born with the March dates.
- 41:26Speaker 2: Yeah, that's it.
- 41:27Speaker 1: I know women aries, that's kind of like angry all
- 41:29Speaker 1: the time. Yeah, but I don't know men.
- 41:33Speaker 2: You're the first.
- 41:35Speaker 5: I could be bitchy. Where's my milk and cookies? Oh?
- 41:40Speaker 5: Promise me making cookies.
- 41:41Speaker 2: What's a day in the life of you right now?
- 41:43Speaker 5: But day in life of me right now? You know?
- 41:48Speaker 5: Playing bild games.
- 41:51Speaker 1: Really Yeah, how much time do you spend like drawing
- 41:55Speaker 1: and all that all day?
- 41:57Speaker 5: It can go from like ten to ten.
- 41:59Speaker 2: And what is your mom say about all of this success?
- 42:08Speaker 3: Sounds like, uh, she don't be believing nothing. I'll be saying,
- 42:11Speaker 3: she'd be thinking, I'd be lyings like I don't tell
- 42:13Speaker 3: you nothing. She didn't start believing nothing until.
- 42:15Speaker 5: She saw what do mean.
- 42:18Speaker 2: She'd be thinking you're lying at this point.
- 42:20Speaker 5: Yeah, no, she don't.
- 42:21Speaker 3: She don't think of lying no more until like I
- 42:22Speaker 3: have a Breakfast Cluve interview two years ago. Then she
- 42:24Speaker 3: started believing stuff.
- 42:25Speaker 2: So that's so funny. What race are you?
- 42:29Speaker 1: You? Just regular black regular regularmegular regular, black regular.
- 42:33Speaker 3: They used to call me a poppy store general when
- 42:35Speaker 3: I was little. Why Yeah, They say say I look Spanish.
- 42:39Speaker 2: I was like, yeah, you look like you could be
- 42:41Speaker 2: mixed with something.
- 42:41Speaker 5: I saying, no, I am. I am black.
- 42:44Speaker 2: Regular Smegula regular Smegula black. Okay, okay.
- 42:48Speaker 1: What advice would you give to anyone that any young
- 42:52Speaker 1: person or older person that's like pursuing that field, that
- 42:56Speaker 1: genre of work.
- 42:58Speaker 3: Be prepared And the main thing I see a lot
- 43:01Speaker 3: of people do is like they quit their jobs way
- 43:03Speaker 3: too early. Because I didn't quit my job until it
- 43:05Speaker 3: made sense.
- 43:07Speaker 2: Was what was your job?
- 43:09Speaker 5: I worked in dietary?
- 43:10Speaker 2: What does that mean?
- 43:11Speaker 5: It was in the kitchen.
- 43:13Speaker 3: Oh you were like cooking, like you know, like serving
- 43:15Speaker 3: the food, cleaning.
- 43:18Speaker 5: It was a nursing home.
- 43:20Speaker 2: Oh okay, yeah, okay, And you worked that till what point?
- 43:24Speaker 5: I worked there until two thousand and seventeen.
- 43:29Speaker 1: Okay, so that's right before yeah came into the picture.
- 43:33Speaker 1: Was that right before your eight thousand dollars?
- 43:35Speaker 3: Right?
- 43:35Speaker 5: That was.
- 43:38Speaker 3: That didn't come into like a year. They didn't come
- 43:39Speaker 3: into like a year later. That's why I made That's
- 43:41Speaker 3: why I made you quit? What made you say I
- 43:44Speaker 3: could quit? Because because I made like twenty four thousand
- 43:49Speaker 3: by myself doing what though?
- 43:51Speaker 5: Just doing commission work?
- 43:53Speaker 2: Okay? And how much were you making at the day job?
- 43:56Speaker 5: Same amount?
- 43:58Speaker 1: Okay, I would have done the same. I would have
- 44:00Speaker 1: done the same, but I try to stack the money though.
- 44:03Speaker 3: For a little bit before you quit, I was buying snapbacks.
- 44:07Speaker 1: Okay, Yeah, you look like a fashion guy like this
- 44:11Speaker 1: this overall set?
- 44:12Speaker 3: Yeah, this is this is this is premium pit bull letter?
- 44:17Speaker 2: Is it really? It's a really cute outfit.
- 44:20Speaker 5: I feel this premium pit Bull letter. Right there, there
- 44:23Speaker 5: you go.
- 44:23Speaker 2: It feels like leather. Yeah, all right?
- 44:30Speaker 1: Uh and then, uh, is there anything that we don't
- 44:33Speaker 1: know about you that you love to share with us
- 44:35Speaker 1: on this show?
- 44:40Speaker 3: I think I basically said. I think I basically said everything.
- 44:44Speaker 3: One thing I can just say is just like, be
- 44:47Speaker 3: grateful every day you wake up, try to use try
- 44:51Speaker 3: to maximize every day the most you can, and just
- 44:54Speaker 3: spend time with friends and loved ones because you never know,
- 44:57Speaker 3: and you don't want to be like, well what if this?
- 44:59Speaker 4: What that?
- 45:00Speaker 3: Do what you want to do, and you know you'll
- 45:05Speaker 3: just be happier. That's really all I can say. That's
- 45:07Speaker 3: why I can say about myself.
- 45:09Speaker 1: And then circling back to the mental health stuff you said,
- 45:13Speaker 1: bipolar schizophrenic, to my knowledge, doesn't schizophrenia like you can
- 45:19Speaker 1: hear voices.
- 45:20Speaker 3: Yeah, but it's like a lot of that stuff, man,
- 45:22Speaker 3: I probably more likely when I think about it, it's
- 45:25Speaker 3: like I probably never had it. A lot of it
- 45:27Speaker 3: more likely just had something to do with stress. And
- 45:28Speaker 3: you know what, anybody when comes to stress, it becomes
- 45:30Speaker 3: a boiling point and just pops. You know what I'm saying,
- 45:33Speaker 3: So to me to be honest is like it was
- 45:38Speaker 3: probably just stress. But you know it's like people they
- 45:41Speaker 3: gotta like diagnose you with something.
- 45:43Speaker 1: Yeah, I at the age of I wanna say it
- 45:46Speaker 1: was thirty. I had a very stressful thing. I was
- 45:50Speaker 1: working with Nick. I was doing a lot of stuff
- 45:52Speaker 1: way above what I should have been doing at the time,
- 45:55Speaker 1: just juggling a lot not a lot of balance. And
- 45:57Speaker 1: I had like a mental like psychosis and I got
- 46:01Speaker 1: diagnosed PTSD schizophrenic with bipolar. They were like, she's all
- 46:05Speaker 1: bat shit, like she's done, and I was. I was
- 46:09Speaker 1: definitely checked out. I thought my brain was never gonna
- 46:11Speaker 1: My whole family thought my brain was gone. But I
- 46:14Speaker 1: went to in La. They had like a like a
- 46:17Speaker 1: mental museum, and I went like five years prior and
- 46:21Speaker 1: they had talked about like all these things they do
- 46:24Speaker 1: back in the day to like help people with mental health.
- 46:27Speaker 1: They were like shocking them and doing all these things,
- 46:29Speaker 1: and I remember they ended up putting me in a
- 46:32Speaker 1: psych word and I remember, like it's crazy up in
- 46:36Speaker 1: there by the way fucking nuts. I woke up and
- 46:38Speaker 1: I was like, whoa, I'm tripping, Like I need to
- 46:42Speaker 1: get to the root of like what the fuck happened
- 46:44Speaker 1: to like find out where I'm at, and they the
- 46:48Speaker 1: patients were like, yo, just be careful because these doctors
- 46:51Speaker 1: can diagnose you and give you a drug cocktail.
- 46:54Speaker 2: You can end up in here like forever.
- 46:57Speaker 1: And they were like tipping me off to like fuck
- 47:01Speaker 1: around and get the wrong thing.
- 47:03Speaker 2: This will be your life.
- 47:05Speaker 1: And I'm thankful to the few patients that kind of
- 47:08Speaker 1: were like, you know, why are you looking at me
- 47:10Speaker 1: like that thinking I'm crazy? No, no, this is true story,
- 47:14Speaker 1: so this will happened, true story. I had a trump
- 47:19Speaker 1: traumatic childhood. I remember my dad came in my day.
- 47:22Speaker 1: My dad my uncle was like call my dad, like
- 47:25Speaker 1: you better come down here, like it's a rat for her,
- 47:27Speaker 1: you know.
- 47:28Speaker 2: And anyways, I was I think I.
- 47:31Speaker 1: Was experiencing PTSD, but I didn't know I was experiencing
- 47:34Speaker 1: it for so long before the episode until like, you know,
- 47:38Speaker 1: they talked to you about the symptoms. You're like, oh,
- 47:40Speaker 1: you know, I don't want to say this in front
- 47:42Speaker 1: of the doctors, but some of the shit is kind
- 47:44Speaker 1: of on point. Anyways, I fought the doctors on like
- 47:48Speaker 1: it prescribing me all the drugs.
- 47:50Speaker 2: I'm like, my mom was like just take whatever. To
- 47:52Speaker 2: get out of there. I'm like, nah, Cuz this is
- 47:55Speaker 2: my brain.
- 47:55Speaker 1: This is my best asset, Like like I think, like
- 47:59Speaker 1: my brain is more important than my looks, like take anything,
- 48:01Speaker 1: but just don't take my brain.
- 48:03Speaker 2: And so I fought them.
- 48:04Speaker 1: They put me like that, had to see a judge.
- 48:07Speaker 1: They made me like eat three meals a day. I
- 48:10Speaker 1: had to sleep in that place, which was freaking nuts,
- 48:14Speaker 1: and I went in front of a judge, Like obviously
- 48:17Speaker 1: I came back. My brain came back. I had to sleep.
- 48:20Speaker 1: And what I did learn about the whole situation is
- 48:22Speaker 1: like sleep is very important to this day, Like if
- 48:24Speaker 1: I'm so stressed out, I will get sleeping pills, NyQuil whatever.
- 48:28Speaker 1: I don't play about sleep because I think it played
- 48:30Speaker 1: a huge role into what happened. But I did fight them.
- 48:35Speaker 1: I didn't take the drugs, and then my dad was
- 48:37Speaker 1: like thanking me later, like yo, the side effects of
- 48:40Speaker 1: those drugs would have like probably impaired me for life.
- 48:43Speaker 1: And all it was was like just a lot of sleep.
- 48:45Speaker 1: I mean they sedated me for like a whole twenty
- 48:48Speaker 1: four hours, and that's obviously what helped me kind of
- 48:52Speaker 1: come out of it. But I fought them and I
- 48:56Speaker 1: remember the judge being like, yeah, So I was like, look,
- 48:59Speaker 1: I'm a fully functioning girl in the real world. I'm like,
- 49:02Speaker 1: I run my own company, I live by myself, like
- 49:05Speaker 1: I pay all my bills like you know. And then
- 49:08Speaker 1: I was threatening to sue them because I was like,
- 49:10Speaker 1: you know, this place is like people are like raping
- 49:12Speaker 1: each other up in here. Like I was like, I
- 49:14Speaker 1: will sue all of you guys. And my dad was like,
- 49:16Speaker 1: she's back, just free her, you know. But you know,
- 49:21Speaker 1: so I kind of know a little bit about it,
- 49:23Speaker 1: you know. But that's why I was asking about the
- 49:26Speaker 1: whole It's like, you know, that's why I just say.
- 49:29Speaker 3: It's just like if more people had more genuine people
- 49:33Speaker 3: around them, you know what I'm saying, Like, people will
- 49:36Speaker 3: be better, you know what I'm saying, Like, I don't
- 49:39Speaker 3: care how busy I am. If you call me, I'll
- 49:42Speaker 3: you know, I won't be able to talk much, but
- 49:43Speaker 3: I'll listen to you while I'm drawing. You don't just
- 49:46Speaker 3: need people need a vent. But it's too many people
- 49:49Speaker 3: like saying like oh I don't I don't want that
- 49:51Speaker 3: type of energy, what type of what type of energy?
- 49:54Speaker 5: If you're that type of person you.
- 49:56Speaker 3: Know they're not you know, like I kind of like
- 49:58Speaker 3: feel sadden for you, Like it's like you don't got
- 50:02Speaker 3: empathy for other people. That's partly the reason why you know,
- 50:04Speaker 3: our country is like so messed up where it's like
- 50:06Speaker 3: it's not about community no more. You know what I'm saying.
- 50:09Speaker 2: I agree.
- 50:09Speaker 1: I do have that one Aries friend that is like
- 50:12Speaker 1: that who she'll be like her energy and her peace
- 50:15Speaker 1: and she protects it or whatever. And I do feel
- 50:18Speaker 1: like I'm an empathizer, so I'm gonna be like, well,
- 50:21Speaker 1: maybe people call her all the time and that's why
- 50:24Speaker 1: she doesn't like hearing things. But she's the only girlfriend
- 50:28Speaker 1: of mine and she is an aries and I think
- 50:30Speaker 1: she has the same birthday as you, and she'd be like,
- 50:33Speaker 1: if it's not this, this, and this, I cannot hear it.
- 50:37Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't care.
- 50:38Speaker 3: Like if I can have several of my friends hit
- 50:40Speaker 3: me up one day, like all in one day and
- 50:43Speaker 3: they have any issue, that's that's what we hear for
- 50:45Speaker 3: as humans, you know what I'm saying. I look at
- 50:47Speaker 3: myself as like a guardian angel, like a healing angel
- 50:52Speaker 3: for a lot of people. You know what I'm saying,
- 50:53Speaker 3: it's like people come to my life for a season
- 50:57Speaker 3: or or for a long time. You know, I'm here
- 51:02Speaker 3: to heal, you know what I'm saying. I'm here to
- 51:04Speaker 3: like inspire, you know what I'm saying. That's why i want, like,
- 51:07Speaker 3: you know the real reason why I'm going so hard.
- 51:09Speaker 3: I want to show kids that you don't just have
- 51:11Speaker 3: to be a rapper or or you know what I'm saying,
- 51:14Speaker 3: some type of entertainer or do sports in order to
- 51:16Speaker 3: like to make money at what you do. You know
- 51:19Speaker 3: what I'm saying, you can do is do art. Like
- 51:20Speaker 3: how many people that we know that's like it's like
- 51:23Speaker 3: well known like in mainstream and art. That's my That's
- 51:27Speaker 3: why I inspire to be like I aspired to, you know,
- 51:29Speaker 3: be like a entertainer artist like a stan Lee. Okay,
- 51:33Speaker 3: so stan Lee was working to the day he died.
- 51:35Speaker 1: And just so you know, that was the number one
- 51:38Speaker 1: reason why I wanted you on this show because I
- 51:40Speaker 1: was like, we have all these successful people and it's
- 51:42Speaker 1: like you have your celebrities, you have your influencers. I
- 51:45Speaker 1: love interviewing entrepreneurs, but I was just like this season,
- 51:49Speaker 1: I was like, I want different genres. I don't want
- 51:52Speaker 1: to see the same genre over and over. I was like,
- 51:54Speaker 1: I have to have you. I'm glad you took the
- 51:57Speaker 1: time out your day to come out here. I appreciate you,
- 52:00Speaker 1: and I'm still a fan, even though I don't know
- 52:01Speaker 1: all the lango Christ texting during his interview, So don't
- 52:05Speaker 1: text you in an interview.
