- 0:11Sydney: This is.
- 0:19Eric: Hallmark Mysteries Edmore Hello Sydney.
- 0:25Sydney: Hi Eric, how's it going?
- 0:28Eric: It's going well.
- 0:30Eric: So did you wear your hair special tonight for Allie to take care of it for you.
- 0:39Sydney: Oh my gosh, are you saying that?
- 0:41Sydney: because it looks like someone needs to help me.
- 0:44Eric: I actually.
- 0:44Eric: So, what's funny?
- 0:46Eric: I went and got my hair cut yesterday and as I was getting it cut, i finally like I don't go around telling the world I do a Hallmark podcast.
- 0:58Eric: Of course I was talking to my my the woman who cuts my hair knows I do something, but she didn't know exactly what it was.
- 1:08Eric: I'm like and I just sort of I guess, in the excitement and the enthusiasm for tonight's topic, oh yeah, my podcast tomorrow is all about a hair, you know stylist, and this, that and the other, and I'm like, oh, i guess I just told her how cool I am with my yeah definitely Hallmark mystery podcast.
- 1:34Sydney: But you are super cool and you're dressed like Steve Jobs tonight which Wow.
- 1:40Eric: My mom.
- 1:40Eric: I am a very proud holder on at the mock turtle neck.
- 1:46Sydney: Oh my gosh.
- 1:47Sydney: Well, it's a good luck.
- 1:48Sydney: I mean, it was a good uniform for him, so why not.
- 1:52Eric: I have, i have what 123455 of.
- 2:00Eric: they're actually like running shirts But the mock turtle neck and for whatever reason, i always keep them zipped up.
- 2:07Eric: my wife keeps trying to talk me into whatever I'm doing a little bit and like, no, she's not as big fan of the mock trouble neck as I am.
- 2:17Sydney: So you know if you could be like a mystery guy and at the beginning you're all buttoned up and by the end you're like foot loose and fancy free.
- 2:27Eric: I will do the throwback.
- 2:28Eric: So when a routine garden, something almost new or sort of new, the next you know one comes out have me in there because I'll be right in fashion in the late 2000s with my, my mock turtle neck.
- 2:46Sydney: You will.
- 2:47Eric: Crazy Now that Madison's often jailed.
- 2:51Eric: I'll need somebody to come in, and I will do it.
- 2:55Sydney: Yeah.
- 2:57Eric: I guess I got to get that role dead guy number two first, so I can just prove my acting shops to Hallmark.
- 3:04Eric: Move on up to Vancouver, take some acting classes with JC and Madison and get my first Hallmark gig.
- 3:15Sydney: Okay.
- 3:15Sydney: Well, if you're dead guy number four, then I'll be lady at coffee shop.
- 3:22Eric: But I want you to being one who, like, gets in a Huff and walks out.
- 3:27Sydney: Yeah.
- 3:28Eric: So you're mad, you're, you know what you're at the cookie jar and you get mad that they gave you a latte and scone.
- 3:37Eric: that just don't go well together.
- 3:38Eric: So you leave an off.
- 3:41Sydney: This blueberry scone does not go with this honey lavender latte.
- 3:48Eric: Okay, i wanted coconut milk.
- 3:51Eric: You gave me almond milk.
- 3:54Sydney: What kind of establishment as that are just too busy solving murders to get my order.
- 4:00Eric: Yes, come on Speaking of which what the appearance of the.
- 4:08Eric: Let's see what's her name appears to be coming back to the sister.
- 4:15Sydney: This did.
- 4:16Sydney: We know we didn't, but we were hoping.
- 4:19Eric: Well, we're saying that we thought it was just a scheduling thing and there was no reason.
- 4:24Eric: Yes, it wasn't wasn't back, like it wasn't, you know, when they switched to the hand when it wasn't like she couldn't continue, so guessing, it turned out to be a scheduling thing, but we know when we when we see the next one.
- 4:41Eric: Was it that it's like zest for death or something?
- 4:43Eric: I think It's not one of the books, so they just made up.
- 4:48Eric: But they decided, you know what, we're not following the book anyhow.
- 4:51Eric: Why even pretend so?
- 4:54Sydney: So wait a minute, we can tell a couple things.
- 4:57Sydney: so we think that the og sister is coming back and this is not based off of a real book, So I'm going to guess there might be a wedding in here.
- 5:08Eric: Ooh Norman, What if there's a?
- 5:09Sydney: little elopement because the sisters back, i mean that's kind of a big deal, it's not a real novel.
- 5:17Sydney: I mean what if, what if?
- 5:18Sydney: what if, what if?
- 5:20Eric: She's leaving.
- 5:20Eric: She's leaving detective Mike for all his shenanigans for stable Norman.
- 5:26Sydney: We know that she's going to end up with Mike, especially with her og sister is coming back because she was married to his buddy.
- 5:36Eric: Yeah.
- 5:36Eric: So, speaking of going back in circles and all around, which ways you did those excellent posts this week with the sleuther style.
- 5:44Eric: We did a review last week of our top movies Yeah, 2023.
- 5:51Eric: But then this past weekend you did that excellent post of the top sleuther style women on Saturday and top sleuther style men.
- 5:58Eric: So who did you vote for for your?
- 6:01Eric: who was your top woman?
- 6:02Eric: This is what you didn't vote.
- 6:08Sydney: Oh yeah, but it was like choosing a, you know, a child or something, i don't know.
- 6:14Eric: I got my favorite.
- 6:16Sydney: Well, my favorite was birdie.
- 6:19Eric: Now it's talking about my favorite kid.
- 6:21Sydney: Okay, well, I don't have any.
- 6:24Sydney: Birdie and Alden were my favorites.
- 6:31Eric: Oh, so you want straight up cases for both, huh?
- 6:35Sydney: I did, and that seems to be fitting with the overall feeling for me.
- 6:40Sydney: What about you?
- 6:41Eric: I did birdie and also I had.
- 6:45Eric: Birdie would have been my number one and Aurora would have been number two.
- 6:49Sydney: Okay, yes, I agree.
- 6:51Eric: And then and then probably Goldie.
- 6:54Eric: I thought Goldie looked, looks good, they got her looking fantastic.
- 6:59Eric: But I think also, goldie may just be a case of Nikki.
- 7:02Eric: Delosha is just super pretty and you can, you know, whatever she wears, i think I think if we ran into Nikki at getting your, your, your lavender latte, i think that's probably what she would be wearing.
- 7:15Eric: I think Goldie is pretty much Nikki.
- 7:18Eric: That's my opinion.
- 7:19Eric: I haven't ever gone to the coffee shop with her.
- 7:21Eric: But yeah, and then the guys I chose.
- 7:25Eric: despite my disdain for him, i did choose detective Mike.
- 7:31Sydney: Wow, i got my issue with with Alden.
- 7:33Eric: I don't understand his diron coats.
- 7:35Eric: We talked to Nicole.
- 7:37Eric: You tried explaining it, nicole tried explaining it.
- 7:40Eric: I just don't get his coats, as I'm sitting here in my mock turtleneck.
- 7:45Sydney: I know That's okay, you don't have to And you know what.
- 7:48Sydney: You have an opinion and that matters So And you know what.
- 7:52Eric: Everyone can just have.
- 7:53Eric: your opinion Doesn't matter, you don't have to be right.
- 7:56Sydney: Yes.
- 7:57Eric: There's no right, there's no wrong, all right.
- 8:02Eric: So we are, as people have probably gathered and said in our posts today we are discussing cut color murder, though Hallmark gets a little bit dyslexic themselves and sometimes calls it color cut murder and you go to their website and you go to their about.
- 8:21Eric: They get it backwards themselves, but it's very color murder is what we are going to be discussing tonight, and this movie is when a beauty pageant creator is found dead, and a savvy, not just a hairdresser.
- 8:39Eric: a savvy hairdresser works with a detective and risks everything to clear the names of those she loves.
- 8:48Eric: starring Julie Gonzalo and Ryan McPartlin.
- 8:55Sydney: Does she really risk everything I was going to say?
- 8:58Sydney: apparently she left, stan, we're going to get it.
- 9:02Eric: Well, no, remember.
- 9:02Eric: Remember her sister was a.
- 9:03Eric: She was brief, for like two minutes.
- 9:10Sydney: Yeah, I will say she risks everything, but it's not for necessarily the ones she loves.
- 9:16Eric: You know what I just realized?
- 9:18Eric: something maybe, in addition to dead guy number three, I think I should become the new writer of the snippets for Hallmark.
- 9:29Eric: Yeah, I agree, because we've had a couple of these that are just a little underwhelming.
- 9:34Eric: I think it could be better, or it just doesn't make sense.
- 9:39Sydney: Yeah, yeah.
- 9:40Eric: So, all right, from now on, I think I'm going to go, I'm going to, I'm going to write Hallmark and tell them I like to apply for this job.
- 9:47Eric: How much does it pay?
- 9:48Eric: What are my benefits?
- 9:50Eric: Do I get a?
- 9:52Eric: do I get major holidays off?
- 9:54Eric: Yeah, I'd at least be able to get the name of the movie right.
- 9:59Sydney: That's true.
- 10:00Eric: I wouldn't do color cut murder, which is on their about page.
- 10:04Eric: So Yeah.
- 10:06Eric: Okay, as I mentioned, this movie stars Julia Gonzalo, ryan McPartlin.
- 10:11Eric: The writers don't know who they are.
- 10:14Eric: They haven't really written many other Hallmark things.
- 10:18Eric: I haven't written any of the other mysteries, any of that stuff.
- 10:22Eric: The director though, she is Stacy Harding, stacy N Harding and Casey Confuser with some of those other Stacey's, but she did a show called, which I actually enjoyed.
- 10:38Eric: Well, i enjoyed the first season.
- 10:40Eric: I didn't really necessarily enjoy the second season, but I did enjoy the first season, i remember watching the first season.
- 10:46Sydney: I remember watching the first season.
- 10:48Sydney: I've never watched Zoe's extraordinary playlist.
- 10:52Eric: Oh my gosh, no, but it was talked about.
- 10:53Eric: I remember it being kind of a thing.
- 10:55Eric: Yeah, the first season is like one of those, those, those shows That was really innovative and cool, but it just Didn't have the legs to keep going.
- 11:04Eric: Kind of like our concern With the dancing detective Right Like, hey, it's good, we really enjoy it, but it's, the novelty wears off And that's kind of what I think happened in Zoe.
- 11:14Eric: It just couldn't sustain the Like she could.
- 11:18Eric: She could hear people's thoughts and song, so it's kind of kind of kind of interesting And so they bust in these little mini musicals and stuff.
- 11:26Eric: Yeah, but We've really digress.
- 11:31Eric: We're in Zoe's extraordinary playlist We're supposed to be calling talking about color, cut, cut, color, color color color color color murder, murder, murder, murder.
- 11:41Sydney: Cut color okay.
- 11:43Eric: Murder, murder murder You know what I'm feeling, my inner Dara, right now, with the Mr Blastery.
- 11:50Eric: Dara, where are you?
- 11:53Eric: All right, that's another one.
- 11:56Eric: Okay, but before we get talking about the movie, i'm really tired of having to carry the entire show by making the cocktails lately.
- 12:05Eric: I'm really tired of having to carry the entire show by making the cocktails lately.
- 12:10Sydney: You're off your medication.
- 12:11Sydney: Have you stepped back up?
- 12:13Sydney: Have you entered the?
- 12:14Eric: bar Yeah, I have.
- 12:17Sydney: What do you have for us, oh my gosh.
- 12:20Sydney: Well, what should you make for cut color, cut color color, color murder.
- 12:25Sydney: I don't know.
- 12:27Sydney: I think it should have seven different names, though You should make.
- 12:32Eric: Miss Golden Peak.
- 12:35Sydney: Miss Golden Peak is a lovely mixture of Perin ginger syrup, st Germain lemon juice and Perseco.
- 12:43Eric: Ooh, It sounds light and fun.
- 12:48Sydney: Yeah, it's a, it's golden and it's something definitely refreshing to drink when you've won the Miss Golden Peak pageant.
- 12:56Eric: Okay, you know what else it is, as I'm thinking about the movie and, like all the pageant moms And Mitzi, this is definitely, i think, a drink.
- 13:07Eric: I would see them as they are doing their little.
- 13:10Eric: You know nice to you.
- 13:13Eric: Knife in the back.
- 13:13Eric: Oh, i guess it is Two scissors in the back.
- 13:16Eric: But as they, you know all their little.
- 13:18Eric: You know snarkiness and everything.
- 13:22Eric: Perfect drink, great drink.
- 13:25Sydney: Thank you.
- 13:26Sydney: Thank you, Eric.
- 13:26Eric: All right, all right.
- 13:29Eric: Well, let's get going on.
- 13:31Eric: Ellie and Detective Kyle Crawford, but also Sheriff What was it?
- 13:38Eric: Sheriff Frank, sheriff Fred, fred, i think I think it's Fred.
- 13:42Eric: Yeah, sheriff Fred, he was a good, he was a cool guy, all right.
- 13:45Eric: So what, what?
- 13:46Eric: what were, uh, would you like?
- 13:47Eric: would you like about this movie?
- 13:49Eric: I know it was your favorite of 2022.
- 13:52Sydney: It was.
- 13:53Sydney: You know what.
- 13:53Sydney: I just liked all of the characters right off the bat.
- 13:57Eric: I didn't know You can't say that That's my number one.
- 13:59Eric: Oh really You have to be more unique.
- 14:02Eric: You can't, you can't steal the mind.
- 14:04Sydney: Well, how about I loved the mother?
- 14:05Sydney: The mother was just great.
- 14:09Sydney: When she makes her stumble entrance in the beginning she's like Sidney, stop, they're stealing all mine.
- 14:17Sydney: I'm sorry.
- 14:20Eric: I like, I loved the beginning.
- 14:22Eric: The beginning was hilarious.
- 14:24Sydney: Yeah, it was great And I enjoyed that.
- 14:29Eric: It was like the mom who was just like coming in like whatever, i'm breaking in the house at two in the morning, but then Chelsea, the sister, which that what I had in my notes is how she grabs the blow dryer Yeah, what the heck.
- 14:44Eric: But then they get there and you know, responsible Alie confronts her and then little Chelsea is like, well, was he cute?
- 14:52Eric: Yeah, love the scene, great scene.
- 14:55Sydney: So okay, and is it my imagination or like?
- 14:58Sydney: okay, i had the hardest time gauging, like, where this took place.
- 15:04Sydney: At first, because I thought someone said Boise, but then I thought someone said Ohio and the mom sounds like she's from New Jersey.
- 15:11Eric: And then Definitely was not New Jersey.
- 15:14Sydney: Yeah, I know It ended up being Idaho, I think.
- 15:18Eric: Yeah, Boise is where the Darren guy, the, the emcee he's going off to go to like hello Boise, The big time, Boise is big time for him.
- 15:30Eric: And then Columbus is where from.
- 15:35Eric: Ohio is where Detective Kyle came from.
- 15:39Sydney: Right.
- 15:40Eric: So that's where all those came.
- 15:41Eric: But yeah, i mean, i don't believe it was like he was in Texas with his hat and everything.
- 15:45Sydney: I was like it.
- 15:47Sydney: Just I was all over the place with these characters at first but I loved them.
- 15:52Eric: See, i thought when you was saying going to or going to Boise, i assumed it was Idaho too, but for some reason I got some Colorado vibe somewhere in there too.
- 16:03Eric: I think maybe they mentioned Colorado.
- 16:05Eric: Maybe they should have been like instead of color murder should have been like murder atlas or something.
- 16:13Sydney: I just it's all kind of all over the place.
- 16:14Sydney: Yeah, i was like where are we, where are we going?
- 16:17Sydney: Hey?
- 16:17Eric: forget that, because we're talking about what we liked.
- 16:18Eric: What else did you like?
- 16:19Sydney: Okay.
- 16:21Eric: Go back and go back to the characters.
- 16:23Sydney: You know what?
- 16:24Sydney: I don't remember thinking this the first time, but now that I'm rewatching it I feel like when Ali had definitely like the precursor to Travis and Amy chemistry That's a bold statement, but I feel like it was there.
- 16:42Sydney: I feel like her little nitpicky things and then his little like not trusting her at first but he was quick to trust her in the end And I think you know that was very much like how murder or mystery 101 went It was.
- 16:57Sydney: It was very much like he trusted her by the end, like there was potential for working together.
- 17:06Eric: I didn't.
- 17:07Eric: I didn't get it, but okay, i'll give it to you.
- 17:11Sydney: And I honestly thought that that she just gave off kind of those sassy Jill Wagner vibes that we really enjoyed and the astute like observing type of like.
- 17:26Sydney: that really reminded me of that And also I really liked the.
- 17:31Sydney: I enjoyed the whole dark, moody dream sequences of it all.
- 17:38Sydney: You know, i think that that was kind of gritty and interesting And then I loved her the coffee spill scene and the end, the door scene.
- 17:51Eric: And she knocks the coffee.
- 17:52Eric: Yeah, i thought those were pretty good.
- 17:54Eric: I'm not thinking about you, no, no, i'm not thinking about you.
- 17:57Eric: Yeah, but then back to junior high.
- 18:02Sydney: Yes, But they had those moments and I think those kind of playful moments really like help.
- 18:10Eric: I agree, I agreed with you that I thought the characters not to basically start listing them and I'm like I could go to them all because I like something about all of them.
- 18:18Eric: Alley said she was definitely had a nice little snarkiness to her.
- 18:23Eric: She had some, you know, pretty good zingers.
- 18:27Sydney: Yeah.
- 18:29Eric: The mom was.
- 18:30Eric: Yes, she was just funny.
- 18:32Eric: I was like wondering, if we do our, would you rather?
- 18:37Eric: and I was like going to do who would you rather, your mom be Ada or or her?
- 18:42Eric: But I don't know if cut color has enough of an audience to to let her stand a chance against a character who's been around for 18 movies Like there.
- 18:56Eric: But but yeah, i just found her, just you know.
- 19:01Eric: You know she was more like Dolores a little bit.
- 19:05Sydney: I have that in my notes.
- 19:07Sydney: I said I down when we review style.
- 19:10Sydney: I say she could be like Dolores.
- 19:13Eric: But then the sister Chelsea, who normally, like she's in college, so I guess she's not necessarily a kid kid, but usually the youngsters annoy me, but I thought she was a really cute, fun character so I didn't mind her.
- 19:28Eric: The sheriff I had, i liked him because he didn't even try to pretend like he was the guy who knew anything.
- 19:36Eric: He was was pretty much like yeah, i'll, he runs the show, he.
- 19:39Eric: So he cracked me up and like he said, and he had that big old 10 gallon hat that he'd he'd wear around.
- 19:44Eric: That that was fantastic.
- 19:45Eric: And then Darren boot, the mc, who's all excited.
- 19:48Eric: He's just what you think of as a weatherman, for you know I'm going big time going hello boys.
- 19:55Eric: So which I want to know?
- 19:57Eric: golden peaks obviously is big enough to have their own like little TV station because he's working somewhere, but like I could sit, just run down.
- 20:05Eric: The little catty moms, the, the Peter, the manicure pedicurist.
- 20:12Eric: She was fun, like all the characters, great.
- 20:15Eric: I thought they did a really good job just building a bunch of characters to make it happen.
- 20:23Eric: One of the things at the end when I really enjoyed and I thought it was great was when Ali stops the killer by opening the door into her face, yes, but that look that she gives her, like the Oh no, you don't look.
- 20:42Eric: Julie Gonzalez just like crushed it with that, didn't have to say a word, just her look, said, said everything that had to be said, plus the killer who got smashed in the face with that little doing whatever you know, let's get hit in the face.
- 20:59Eric: I love that little.
- 21:00Eric: I love that little scene.
- 21:04Eric: I also thought that the mystery it just was a and we'll talk about it, you know more when we get down to that part, but it was just, it was a good mystery The whole time.
- 21:16Eric: They had a lot of red herrings and you know, often, you know, and the funny thing is I knew who it was because obviously we've seen it.
- 21:23Eric: I've seen it.
- 21:24Eric: This is probably my third go-around, but I just when I'm watching you know, this time being just more critical and just taking notes, i'm like you really don't know, the red herrings are all valid as opposed to someone like we talked about, you know, in the Dancing Detective.
- 21:43Eric: You just know it's not those people, because it can't be, it's too obvious, it's just whatever.
- 21:48Eric: And with this one you're like it's obvious, but no, it's not obvious.
- 21:54Eric: But the way it is obvious.
- 21:55Eric: No, it's not obvious, and the killer turns out to be obvious.
- 21:57Eric: I thought it was just a good mystery.
- 22:01Eric: I liked it.
- 22:02Eric: It kind of goes like to your dreams as well.
- 22:04Eric: The backstory they did a really good job creating backstory throughout this, which also the ending.
- 22:12Eric: I mean great ending.
- 22:15Eric: Great ending with that little, though.
- 22:18Eric: The one thing I will say I don't quite understand where the pictures that were just right there came from, but like someone, while she's sitting there talking at the grave site, just sneaks up behind her and drops him on the ground next to her because he thinks when she sat down she would have noticed it, but didn't get that, whatever.
- 22:39Eric: But I thought, just like when you see that picture, like yeah great little cliffhanger there.
- 22:47Sydney: Well, it feeds into, like when she says I feel like I recognize your face from somewhere.
- 22:53Eric: You're like ooh, it's for sure.
- 22:55Eric: Yes, she does.
- 22:57Sydney: I'll never forget a face.
- 23:00Eric: Though I don't know where, like those pictures.
- 23:03Eric: was there any context where those pictures were taken?
- 23:06Eric: Obviously that's something to do with her husband's death, but Somewhere where he was wearing a scarf.
- 23:12Eric: Go back in Columbus, maybe Columbus Ohio.
- 23:19Eric: I hate Ohio.
- 23:19Eric: Sorry anyone from Ohio, but I hate Ohio.
- 23:23Eric: All right, Speaking of that, we're in a hater mood.
- 23:28Eric: What was there anything?
- 23:29Eric: this was your favorite movie, but was there anything you didn't like?
- 23:34Sydney: Oh my gosh.
- 23:35Sydney: No, I can tell you, there was not.
- 23:39Sydney: I mean, the only thing that I didn't like was how confusing it was at first for me to figure out where they were.
- 23:44Sydney: And then I thought it was kind of ridiculous that she was like that was $50 for your haircut and she cut like three hairs because you said not bad, yeah, you don't.
- 24:01Eric: you don't diss Ally and her hair cutting.
- 24:04Eric: Yeah, I will say though I did have that in my I didn't like is.
- 24:09Eric: They didn't even pretend to like do haircuts.
- 24:14Eric: She would just sit behind everybody and, like air, cut their back of their hair and be like.
- 24:21Eric: OK, you're done.
- 24:22Eric: Like you know what reminded me of?
- 24:25Eric: did you watch the?
- 24:26Eric: was it?
- 24:27Eric: was it?
- 24:28Eric: what was it?
- 24:28Eric: dance moms?
- 24:29Eric: or the one with Chelsea Hobbs?
- 24:36Sydney: Oh, yeah, yeah, What was it?
- 24:38Eric: Like the dancing moms or OK Yeah.
- 24:42Eric: And then she had her hair like she can dance and they didn't really choreograph a real routine for her, but I think like they could have at least had her like combing the hair up and doing things, so it really looked, but as opposed to standing behind them, not even like looking where she's cutting, just sort of looking where she's talking.
- 25:00Eric: Yeah, so I was a lady cutting the back, so that annoyed me, but you know it's all Mark, so what the heck?
- 25:05Eric: But I think they could have done a little bit, a little bit better there.
- 25:11Sydney: But I think she had the lingo down though where, like you know her, like the way she stood and like talked, was very much like a hairdresser, But yeah, the cutting.
- 25:23Eric: I think the scenes in there where I thought like they had really good fun, like salon vibe and everything going.
- 25:31Eric: But you know, i just think they could have And it wouldn't be like like, even if they needed to do, because it's probably like, oh, we don't want to mess up hair because it takes so long, but do that, shot the last in it, right, you can just do the stuff And at the end of the day, ok, ryan, your hair is going to get messy.
- 25:49Eric: So we're going to come a, she's going to come in and do, do whatever.
- 25:54Sydney: And Mitzi's hair looked so fake in the beginning That was like I was like of course, this is a wig.
- 26:02Eric: No, okay, the other thing I didn't like and I know it's Hallmark and I know we're supposed to have our busy body and stuff, but when Ali goes in and blatantly like breaks the law, stealing the evidence of the video, downloading it, like that's not just being nosy, that's like darn right, felony what she's doing there.
- 26:30Eric: So that kind of just.
- 26:30Eric: And then, like I said, i know it's the Hallmark thing and we have for a cozy mystery You have to have the sleuther doing things they're not supposed to do.
- 26:41Eric: But like that one and we talked about it before, like you were, i forget what it was, it was Hannah, right, when she was doing her snooping in the guy's house, yeah, like there.
- 26:51Eric: But that's like, yeah, this is just like It's icky, full of felony.
- 26:57Eric: So that kind of just bothered me.
- 26:58Eric: But you know, at the end of the day it wasn't like that big of a.
- 27:04Eric: You know well, i guess it is a big deal, but it's whatever.
- 27:07Eric: It's just something that annoyed me.
- 27:09Eric: And then I'll say the other thing that right now annoys me is I mentioned earlier, with a great cliffhanger ending it was It annoys me that we have not heard of color, cut, cut color murder, murder 100 mystery one, but is annoying me.
- 27:41Eric: We have not heard that there is, you know, part two coming, because that was just too good of a cliffhanger.
- 27:48Eric: I know You can't end it And so I'm annoyed that it hasn't come yet.
- 27:55Eric: And I'm the optimist I do believe it.
- 27:58Eric: It will come, i think.
- 28:00Eric: I don't think Hallmark would do that to us, and if they did, there'd be some valid reason.
- 28:05Eric: They're not just these evil people, but damn it.
- 28:10Eric: If you're going to do these, you not not know you're going to do another one.
- 28:14Eric: You can't do a cliffhanger like that.
- 28:17Sydney: Yeah.
- 28:18Eric: Just not right to.
- 28:18Eric: Just not right to the fans.
- 28:21Sydney: Yeah, you know, but speaking of things that aren't right, it was pretty rude of her to lead that guy on too, just to take him out so she could interrogate him.
- 28:33Eric: Well, i thought she took him out even worse so that Detective Kyle could come.
- 28:39Eric: She set him up like I'm going to bring you to the bar so Detective Kyle can come take over.
- 28:46Sydney: No, she wanted to.
- 28:48Sydney: She said yes to a date with him and then he like interrupted that date because her sister was in the slammer.
- 28:59Sydney: She got called, and then they came back.
- 29:05Sydney: But when they went to the bar, The second time around when they went, is because she invited him back out and said Oh well, you know, last time our you know, our time got interrupted.
- 29:17Sydney: Then it gets interrupted by the detective again after she's already kind of accused him, and then later on she confronts him in a parking lot and it just it's like each time, you know, he thinks that you're into him, but you're really just interrogating him, and it was kind of messed up.
- 29:36Eric: Yeah, i agree, i thought she.
- 29:39Eric: I thought she took him to the bar to make it so Detective Kyle could interrogate him.
- 29:47Eric: But I guess Detective Kyle doesn't need her to do that.
- 29:51Eric: So, yeah, i guess you're right with I over read her deviousness in it.
- 29:59Eric: But, ally, you did him wrong, especially because he was not not guilty.
- 30:06Sydney: Yeah.
- 30:07Eric: But he is guilty for caring too much for the trees.
- 30:11Eric: Oh come on.
- 30:13Eric: Yeah, he didn't like Mitzi, because Mitzi wanted to cut down a tree.
- 30:19Sydney: She would no-transcript.
- 30:23Eric: Okay, so it's time to move on and talk about the mystery, right?
- 30:30Sydney: Yeah.
- 30:32Eric: So what did you think about the mystery?
- 30:39Sydney: I thought it was intriguing, like who doesn't love a pageant?
- 30:43Sydney: I thought it was very intriguing because of that.
- 30:48Sydney: You know, you got the glamour and the beauty and the intrigue and also you had the underlying mystery that was kind of happening, which, i will say, was very reminiscent of Haley Dean.
- 31:03Sydney: I was like oh, there's someone's husband was killed, and like he was a police officer.
- 31:10Sydney: I think I don't know if Haley Dean I know her brother-in-law is a police officer but what was Halley's husband?
- 31:18Sydney: I don't know.
- 31:18Sydney: I thought he was a police officer.
- 31:20Sydney: Either way, it reminded me of that.
- 31:23Sydney: You know, it was very in keeping with that whole theme of the husband was shot by a killer, and you were there, maybe, and you didn't.
- 31:34Sydney: well, i don't know if she was there.
- 31:35Eric: Well, i think she was there in the dream We're going to have to go back and maybe the summer duo or deep dive in the Haley Dean, because I think she was there, but she has, like amnesia, if I'm remembering correctly.
- 31:52Sydney: Yeah, but was Haley there Because she was in the dream that she had.
- 31:57Eric: Yeah, she said.
- 31:58Eric: I thought she said she got there and couldn't do some.
- 32:02Eric: I thought that's what she said.
- 32:03Eric: I think, yeah, but you're right.
- 32:07Eric: maybe I'm confusing it with the dream, but no, i think I'm pretty sure she was there.
- 32:14Sydney: Yeah Well, it did have some slow points, but that didn't bother me and I thought the ending was really good.
- 32:23Sydney: And I didn't the first time I watched it I didn't guess the killer, because I thought, like there were, i didn't either.
- 32:29Sydney: There were so many viable options, There were some really good jump scares and I enjoyed like and I kind of already mentioned this I enjoyed like the overall moody look to it.
- 32:42Sydney: I felt like the lighting was darker, I felt like just overall mood was a bit more moody.
- 32:49Eric: Well, I guess a lot of yeah, a lot of the, if you think about it, a lot of the mystery did take place, or the scenes would ever took place at night.
- 32:58Eric: You know whereas normally a lot of stuff happens maybe during the day, whereas this one, a lot of things happened at night.
- 33:07Sydney: And the salon had a moody look to.
- 33:09Sydney: It was like a little bit darker tones and stuff.
- 33:13Eric: Okay, let's see if you're paying attention.
- 33:15Eric: This was our one of our trivia questions a couple, like a month ago.
- 33:20Eric: What was the name of the salon?
- 33:22Sydney: Oh Monos.
- 33:25Eric: Monarch.
- 33:26Sydney: Monarch.
- 33:28Eric: Sydney.
- 33:29Eric: You're losing your sleuther card.
- 33:34Sydney: All right, what did you think of the mystery, eric?
- 33:37Eric: I guess that was one of the.
- 33:37Eric: I thought the strengths like you maybe just talked about great red herrings made everybody was a viable suspect other than Chelsea.
- 33:48Eric: Like, yeah, you knew the sister obviously wasn't going to be, but she also got cleared pretty quickly But then you could really see anybody doing it.
- 33:58Eric: And then I thought it was very interesting how she broke the case, like that was a really good.
- 34:05Eric: It wasn't sometimes in the in the like discovery of how.
- 34:11Eric: It was a little bit silly kind of have to take a big leap of faith of how they figured out who the killer was.
- 34:18Eric: But for this one, like dancing detective, she's dancing, oh look, we're dancing on stone.
- 34:25Eric: Yeah, it's called, or no, we're dancing and terror, whatever you call that stuff, oh, yeah, that means stone.
- 34:31Eric: Oh, my gosh, it's stone the killer.
- 34:32Eric: You know, like some of these weirdly jumps for solving this one, whereas she really did deduce it, so I thought the mystery was was pretty good all around.
- 34:44Eric: I gave it a.
- 34:44Eric: I'll get down to our score.
- 34:45Eric: I gave it a pretty good, pretty good score there.
- 34:48Eric: Body count.
- 34:54Sydney: You know what I put two, because we're talking about two bodies.
- 34:58Sydney: There was only one for the mystery, but you know there's one in the other mystery.
- 35:03Eric: So the backstory body.
- 35:06Eric: And as we learned in in in the, which we'll call it Hannah.
- 35:13Eric: He can go back many years.
- 35:16Eric: Jane detective or Jane mystery can go back many years.
- 35:19Eric: So yeah, we have no timeline on our dead bodies.
- 35:22Eric: We'll take.
- 35:23Eric: Did they ever say what her husband's name was?
- 35:26Eric: Dan Dan.
- 35:29Sydney: Dan read.
- 35:31Eric: Okay, um, dead Dan.
- 35:34Eric: Look, we'll count him, he's dead.
- 35:38Eric: Okay, two, we'll say two.
- 35:42Eric: Two dead bodies.
- 35:43Sydney: Okay, all right.
- 35:45Eric: Last is style.
- 35:48Sydney: So can we just highlight Hallmark breakfasts for a moment.
- 35:53Eric: You can have whatever you want, I'll say right now and just we'll get doing there.
- 35:57Eric: The style is going to be all your conversation, because I found there to be like not bad style, not good style, just.
- 36:06Sydney: Yeah, like, like, when they wake up the next morning they are eating the most beautiful plates of pancakes and strawberries I have ever seen.
- 36:21Sydney: And then, in true hallmark style, they are too busy to finish these beautiful breakfasts and they leave.
- 36:32Sydney: And I thought Chelsea?
- 36:35Eric: I thought no, i think it was, but then didn't Chelsea go.
- 36:37Eric: Okay, i'll take it.
- 36:39Sydney: Then she's just eating fruit.
- 36:41Sydney: No one was eating the pancakes, which was also bothering me, but maybe those were really fake.
- 36:48Eric: Maybe they're got to got to keep those carbs low.
- 36:53Sydney: And I was going to mention how Ali's mom has really great style.
- 36:59Eric: And I just wrote what you said.
- 37:00Eric: You think they're actually fake pancakes.
- 37:01Eric: Maybe, Is that possible?
- 37:04Sydney: I don't know.
- 37:05Eric: We did When Jaycee, we talked to her, she did talk about how they use fake flowers because they have to be in takes for so long, and maybe you're right.
- 37:14Eric: Maybe the pancakes were fake.
- 37:18Sydney: Maybe they are.
- 37:18Sydney: We have a mystery on our hands.
- 37:20Eric: We need it.
- 37:21Eric: We need to talk to someone on this movie so we can find out.
- 37:26Sydney: I think so.
- 37:26Sydney: But yeah, ali's mom had great style.
- 37:30Sydney: I feel like she's kind of her own version of Dolores.
- 37:33Sydney: She definitely has the potential to become Dolores.
- 37:37Sydney: She's very extra like Dolores, and the costume designer was Tina Fioranda, i think, or Fiorinda, but she did a great job.
- 37:51Sydney: I would have liked to see more effort with the pageant looks.
- 37:56Sydney: I feel like those dresses were kind of lackluster for a pageant, especially after seeing the wardrobe and the Jane Mysteries.
- 38:04Sydney: I think this was filmed during COVID, though, so there probably were less resources, but I don't know.
- 38:12Eric: They did have the girl and her doing her soccer.
- 38:15Eric: I don't know what you call that when you bounce it on your knee.
- 38:19Eric: Yeah, hockey sack, soccer stuff in her little t-shirt and soccer shorts.
- 38:24Sydney: I was like what is this?
- 38:25Eric: So that's your skill, Kind of have skill.
- 38:28Eric: Yeah, I agree I will say Chelsea's hair was fantastic when she won, But yeah, her dress like just all in all.
- 38:39Eric: But they're also there in Golden Peaks.
- 38:41Eric: When they go down to get their dress they're probably having to go to, I don't know, JC Penny or the dime store to get their dress in Golden Peaks.
- 38:53Eric: I don't think they have the fancy stores there.
- 38:58Sydney: This is not reality.
- 38:59Sydney: This is Hallmark, eric, anything is possible.
- 39:02Sydney: Hallmark is reality Okay, they could have ball gowns.
- 39:06Eric: I know you can get haircuts by just waving scissors over the head.
- 39:11Eric: That magically.
- 39:15Sydney: I gave you one right now, Eric.
- 39:17Eric: Oh, thank you, I love what you've done with the.
- 39:20Eric: what are you?
- 39:21Eric: I don't the Nate.
- 39:21Eric: is that the back?
- 39:22Eric: is that the nape?
- 39:23Eric: Yeah, i love what you've done to the nape of my hair here.
- 39:28Eric: Fantastic People have very, very trimmed very coiffed nape in Golden Peaks.
- 39:39Eric: I will say style like Detective Kyle.
- 39:45Eric: nothing special, he looked like a detective.
- 39:50Sydney: He was so handsome.
- 39:51Sydney: That's what I was going to say.
- 39:53Eric: He's a he's got.
- 39:54Eric: He's got good hair.
- 39:56Sydney: He knows how to wear a trench coat.
- 40:00Eric: Without being creepy.
- 40:00Eric: Oh yeah, you know what?
- 40:03Eric: I take it back.
- 40:04Eric: In fact, i may have to adjust my style.
- 40:06Eric: No, i'm keeping it up there.
- 40:08Eric: I loved, i love Sheriff Fred.
- 40:11Eric: He had great style.
- 40:14Eric: That was just that like little small town sheriff.
- 40:18Eric: Look, he nailed it.
- 40:19Eric: He wore it All right.
- 40:21Eric: I guess, with all that wrapping up, we will get into our scoring.
- 40:25Eric: I think we're going to start out a little bit different with the steam meter.
- 40:30Eric: Where were you.
- 40:33Sydney: I was at a six because I feel like there was potential and there was definitely some flirting towards the end, but there wasn't a ton and I wish there was more.
- 40:45Eric: I gave it a two.
- 40:46Eric: Like I said, they had a little bit of a little banter, but I'll keep it He saved her.
- 40:56Eric: He did Well, no, she saved him Well.
- 40:59Eric: No, you're right from the fire.
- 41:01Sydney: I'm like, what are you talking about?
- 41:02Eric: Okay, So you're talking literally steam because there's a fire?
- 41:06Eric: Yeah, i'm talking bromance steam here.
- 41:09Sydney: Okay.
- 41:09Eric: Talking passion.
- 41:10Eric: He just did his detective job of saving her from the fire.
- 41:16Eric: Yeah, i didn't get it.
- 41:18Eric: I see the potential.
- 41:20Eric: I think they laid out potential and they definitely had, like I say, those little moments.
- 41:26Eric: And she did say, hey, dead Dan, it's time for me to move on, which I think is inspired by dead Dan and cutie Kyle.
- 41:36Eric: That's what we'll go with.
- 41:38Eric: So I think she said you know, dead Dan, time for me to move on to cutie Kyle.
- 41:43Eric: Until she found out cutie Kyle is done, done, done Kyle.
- 41:49Eric: Oh yeah, what's he doing in the picture, corrupt Kyle.
- 41:53Sydney: Especially with that scarf on.
- 41:54Sydney: that was so not cute.
- 41:55Sydney: That was the worst piece of clothing he wore, yeah.
- 42:02Eric: What would you want him to wear?
- 42:03Eric: It's cold out.
- 42:05Eric: He doesn't want to catch cold That scarf, wasn't it?
- 42:07Sydney: It should have been a nice plaid or something.
- 42:10Eric: So I guess all that praise you just gave the woman we can't pronounce her name You're now dissoner, but that's fine, no, it's just one.
- 42:19Eric: She doesn't.
- 42:20Eric: She doesn't.
- 42:21Eric: She's not on Instagram as far as I can tell.
- 42:24Eric: Tried finding her, so she'll never know that you were so mean.
- 42:30Sydney: You were mean too.
- 42:31Sydney: Oh, i'm sorry.
- 42:36Eric: Dan geez.
- 42:36Eric: Wait, there is an actor who plays him, so I guess the all right the story.
- 42:43Eric: Where do you give the story?
- 42:46Sydney: I gave it a seven because I love a good pageant drama story.
- 42:52Eric: I gave it an eight because I thought they just did such a great job with developing back stories for a lot of the characters And they did have some.
- 43:00Eric: I guess story goes with the writing too.
- 43:02Eric: They did have this witty banter between the between them And once again like, yeah, the blow dryer and mom, was he cute?
- 43:14Eric: So yeah, i thought that was great.
- 43:18Sydney: The mystery I gave it a seven.
- 43:20Sydney: I thought it was decent and I thought it.
- 43:23Sydney: I thought the underlying mystery added to it.
- 43:26Eric: This is your favorite one.
- 43:28Eric: You remember that.
- 43:28Eric: Hey, you gave your favorite one a seven, i gave it an eight And it was even my favorite.
- 43:36Sydney: I'm trying to be fair here.
- 43:40Sydney: I've seen a lot of good mysteries.
- 43:42Eric: I know, but that was your favorite.
- 43:44Eric: Geez, i'd hate to see what the one.
- 43:47Eric: When we do Francesca Quinn, i hate to see what that gets.
- 43:50Sydney: Oh, my Yeah, you will.
- 43:55Eric: Nikki Norr, better get a nine.
- 43:56Eric: All right, i can't read my own handwriting.
- 44:01Eric: What do we talk?
- 44:01Eric: What's next?
- 44:02Sydney: Oh, the acting, it's acting.
- 44:04Sydney: Yeah, i thought it deserved a nine because I thought everyone played their parts really well and there wasn't anyone that I was like, wow, that person's stunk.
- 44:17Eric: I 100% agree.
- 44:19Eric: I gave it an eight.
- 44:21Eric: I gave him a bunch of eights here.
- 44:25Eric: I thought the acting was really, really solid.
- 44:29Sydney: And there were so many good like classic, reoccurring hallmark characters in it.
- 44:35Eric: The other thing, i guess why you can say this was good too is this had a lot of characters in it, for, you know, typical hallmark movie, like we'd think like once again dancing detective, you had like seven characters maybe, whereas this had, because you had all the shop, you had all the pageant moms and kids, you had the family dynamic, you had the police force, we had a lot of characters, and usually when you start getting a lot of those secondary ones, like the manicure pedigress, usually they're like got some local town who you know, this is their first like good gig.
- 45:10Eric: But everyone was solid.
- 45:13Eric: Yep, i gave it an eight, okay, style.
- 45:20Sydney: I gave it a seven because I liked it, but again I feel like I didn't enjoy the pageant looks and there you go, a scarf.
- 45:29Eric: It would have been a 10 if it wasn't for that damn scarf.
- 45:32Sydney: Yeah, get that out of here.
- 45:34Sydney: What about you All?
- 45:36Eric: I know is I'm not wearing a scarf in our next recording.
- 45:38Eric: Of course, it is 110 here in Phoenix, so I probably won't wear a scarf to begin with, but you're wearing a turtleneck.
- 45:45Eric: I am Well.
- 45:46Eric: It's because my office is about 47 degrees So I have to bundle up to go to work.
- 45:51Eric: Our office is so cold.
- 45:53Eric: I gave style five and once again middle of the road because I didn't think it was bad.
- 46:00Eric: I didn't think it was good, i think everyone was just dressed fine.
- 46:07Eric: But I should bump it up to a six once again because of Sheriff Fred in this hat.
- 46:15Eric: But I'm leaving it as a five because I stand by my convictions.
- 46:22Sydney: Okay.
- 46:24Eric: I told 31.
- 46:25Eric: What do you total?
- 46:26Sydney: 36?
- 46:27Sydney: .
- 46:28Eric: So that's a 67.
- 46:30Eric: All right, i would have thought it would be a little bit higher.
- 46:36Eric: You know what it was That steam meter killed us.
- 46:39Eric: for me.
- 46:41Sydney: I don't know.
- 46:42Sydney: Yeah, i just this is definitely one that needs another.
- 46:46Sydney: We need another.
- 46:49Eric: Here's the crazy thing too, because according to our little scale, a 67 means and whatever you know, we saw it.
- 46:57Eric: Don't get another watch, but I would definitely give this another watch.
- 47:01Eric: Right, it just didn't have a lot of for me.
- 47:05Eric: A lot of the heat in the fashion wasn't good, but if you got story mystery acting all as eight once again I'm using my scores here you were a little more evenly.
- 47:16Eric: You know you're up there at 36, so you're higher.
- 47:19Eric: All those are really the core things.
- 47:22Eric: The steam you know it's a first mystery, so it's kind of hard to have too much steam in the first one because it develops which once again, as you said, that's why we need more.
- 47:33Sydney: Yeah.
- 47:34Eric: Give us more.
- 47:36Sydney: Yeah.
- 47:38Eric: I have seen there's like the petition for the dancing detective, there's the petition for the cases.
- 47:44Eric: Maybe you need to start a little petition for color cut, cut color.
- 47:50Sydney: Cut color, color, cut, cut, murder.
- 47:54Eric: Air cut So.
- 47:58Sydney: What will they call the second one?
- 47:59Sydney: because this doesn't have the colon.
- 48:01Sydney: There's no cut color, murder, deadly shears.
- 48:06Eric: Yeah, they could just now go start with it and then just go forward First one, be like the first mystery 101 was just mystery 101, i think I'm pretty sure.
- 48:21Sydney: Oh no.
- 48:22Eric: We can't insult mystery 101 people, they'll get all mad.
- 48:26Sydney: Yeah, good, nice one, nice one.
- 48:29Eric: I'm pretty sure the first mystery 101 was just mystery 101, so Cut color, murder, deadly shears.
- 48:34Eric: But they can't do deadly shears because they already just did that.
- 48:36Eric: This one should have been deadly.
- 48:38Sydney: I know, that's why.
- 48:40Eric: So it will be like ooh, suicide blonde.
- 48:44Sydney: Oh, wow.
- 48:45Eric: Suicide's not a good.
- 48:46Eric: we need a murder Broxide killer.
- 48:56Sydney: Never shampoo twice.
- 48:59Eric: Shampoo in my eyes.
- 49:00Eric: I don't know someone, i guess.
- 49:04Eric: Oh, i'm not doing a good job with my interview with Hallmark for that job of writing the descriptions right now I should have something very clever, darn it.
- 49:13Sydney: Yeah, sorry, don't quit your day job or your evening job.
- 49:17Eric: Okay, hallmark executives, i hope you've fallen asleep by this point of our podcast.
- 49:21Eric: I've tuned out everyone else.
- 49:24Eric: you should hopefully still be listening.
- 49:26Eric: Yeah, In fact, you should be listening so much and enjoying it so much that you wanna tell a friend about the podcast, because we really appreciate what you do.
- 49:36Eric: That helps us grow and we enjoy getting bigger, and mostly, of course, with the ego.
- 49:43Eric: But the other thing is just fun.
- 49:44Eric: when we start seeing our name pop up in some articles or like a Reddit in different places like that, that means people are starting to hear and just the Sleuther community and everyone needs a home and we are the home for Sleuthers, so tell a friend about our podcast.
- 50:02Eric: Give us a review, if you want.
- 50:05Sydney: And if you're looking for more like the Sleuther style posts we mentioned and lots of trivia and fun stuff, go follow us over on Instagram at Hallmark Mysteries and more.
- 50:18Eric: I only have one request on there What If we do a question?
- 50:23Eric: if you wanna just answer something that's completed, it's your favorite mystery, but it's not part of the question.
- 50:30Eric: we understand you.
- 50:31Eric: it's your favorite mystery.
- 50:32Eric: just you don't have to say it.
- 50:35Eric: I just it's probably getting out of soapbox here.
- 50:40Eric: but I just found like I felt bad because you did this post for the 2023 characters And, i think, the costume designers in 2023, whether you're upset about any of your favorite mysteries being canceled or not, it's not the point.
- 50:59Eric: You're acknowledging what a great job these costume designers did And I just found it kind of a little bit rude to be like I don't, like I haven't seen it in the movies, so, okay, great, move on.
- 51:13Eric: You don't have to like kind of insult them because the costume designers aren't responsible for making the decisions.
- 51:19Eric: And if you didn't like a mystery, i think you'd be hard pressed to say it Like I didn't like the mystery, because whatever Mike looked terrible in the curio, kara Cake Murder or Andrew Walker is just terrible.
- 51:36Eric: We already said Nikki DeLosha is incapable of looking bad.
- 51:40Eric: So I get on a little high horse, little soapboxer, sorry.
- 51:45Sydney: No, that's okay, because it's important to have a nice, friendly, fun community, and that's what we're trying to foster here.
- 51:52Sydney: So make sure that when you are commenting and liking, you're keeping that in mind.
- 52:00Eric: Yes, And I think some people think I must like not be a fan of Mystery 101 because I try to keep it focused on this.
- 52:09Eric: I love Mystery 101.
- 52:10Eric: I think it's great.
- 52:11Eric: We talked to John Christian Plummer about what a great mystery it is.
- 52:14Sydney: Yeah.
- 52:16Eric: I like the new ones too, except Mystery 101.
- 52:20Eric: Sadly, we'll just be watching those seven again in reruns, but they're still fun to watch.
- 52:26Sydney: Yes.
- 52:27Eric: All right, you can also.
- 52:29Eric: We did our go over to our YouTube same name or the website same name And we have our little emoji game posted.
- 52:39Eric: I guess that Hallmark Mystery.
- 52:41Eric: That's a fun one, people.
- 52:44Eric: It's a little harder I guess than I guess, because I did it.
- 52:47Eric: It was easy for me to do well, so I knew what all the abilities were Yeah, you're playing it.
- 52:55Sydney: You know all the answers.
- 52:59Eric: So I did.
- 53:00Eric: Well, what can I say?
- 53:01Eric: Of course, dad.
- 53:02Eric: But yeah, people seem to be getting around, five or six out of the 21,.
- 53:07Eric: But go play, it's fun.
- 53:09Sydney: Yes.
- 53:11Eric: All right.
- 53:11Eric: Well, we have a little ways to go until Turn X Mystery, but we do have a lot of fun podcast topics.
- 53:23Eric: We're gonna be hitting some old movies, some other things that may surprise you.
- 53:28Eric: We even discussed about going across the pond and talking about is that like a horrible phrase to say across the pond?
- 53:37Eric: is it like saying go in the sand, fran I?
- 53:41Sydney: think it's okay.
- 53:42Eric: Okay, well, we may pour a spot of tea and discuss some mysteries that normally maybe we don't get to see too much over here.
- 53:56Eric: So Yeah.
- 53:58Sydney: All right, But you know what they're often the influence of our favorite Hallmark Mysteries.
- 54:04Eric: They are.
- 54:05Sydney: Yeah, we might check out some classic British mysteries.
- 54:11Eric: And I will say that I'm a little bit frustrated that you and some of our followers have got me hooked on these British mysteries because my Hallmark Romcom are falling behind, because I'm too busy binging all of these British mysteries now that.
- 54:37Eric: I keep accumulating.
- 54:39Eric: They're good stuff.
- 54:41Sydney: I feel the same way.
- 54:43Eric: Good stuff Acorn if you don't have acorn, or you Britbox, is that?
- 54:47Sydney: right Britbox yeah.
- 54:49Eric: Or in your sleuth, or you probably would enjoy those, but topic for a later podcast.
- 54:55Sydney: Yeah.
- 54:56Eric: But for tonight, I think it's time to say good night.
- 55:01Sydney: All right.
- 55:01Sydney: Well, it was fun Eric.
- 55:04Eric: I should say good morning, since this drops at three o'clock in the morning Our time.
- 55:10Sydney: We're asleep now.
- 55:11Sydney: Good morning everybody, Okay.
- 55:16Eric: All right, Sydney Take care.
- 55:17Sydney: Until next time.
- 55:17Sydney: Okay, you too.
