- 1:22Speaker 4: Hey everyone, Yes, thank you guys both for having me.
- 1:26Speaker 4: Of course, little Sasquatch. Do you have a name?
- 1:28Speaker 5: Harry?
- 1:29Speaker 6: Oh?
- 1:29Speaker 4: Should we call him Harry or a little sas dosing?
- 1:31Speaker 5: I think it is?
- 1:35Speaker 4: Can I call you Harry?
- 1:36Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 1:36Speaker 1: Okay, it feels a little bit more normal.
- 1:38Speaker 4: Can I be her Sally? Sally? He always needs a
- 1:44Speaker 4: Sally always.
- 1:46Speaker 1: You guys were just down in Austin together because you're
- 1:49Speaker 1: a stand up yes, but you're a comedian and you're
- 1:52Speaker 1: also on wild and Out.
- 1:53Speaker 4: Yeah, you've been doing wild Out for a couple of years.
- 1:55Speaker 1: We were just talking about you last week that you're
- 1:57Speaker 1: on Wilding Out, and uh, it's for to just that
- 2:00Speaker 1: you're in New York and you're in town and or
- 2:02Speaker 1: you live here, yeah, and that you're just you come
- 2:05Speaker 1: on the show.
- 2:06Speaker 4: So thanks for you know, I can't believe you got
- 2:07Speaker 4: someone from wild it Out, Like.
- 2:09Speaker 1: I want to.
- 2:13Speaker 4: Let me call him up. See if I can find
- 2:14Speaker 4: in for Miami.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Yes, see if you can get conceited in what's conceited? Like?
- 2:19Speaker 1: He is shortest.
- 2:21Speaker 4: I'm always on his phone. He's short as fucked. But
- 2:24Speaker 4: they're shorter on the show. They're shorter, just.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Like shorter dudes.
- 2:27Speaker 4: Yeah, oh really, little tiny guys. Yeah.
- 2:30Speaker 1: I feel like they get short ass dudes just so
- 2:32Speaker 1: they have something to make fun of.
- 2:34Speaker 4: Everyone there has something like.
- 2:36Speaker 1: An archetype to like make fun of.
- 2:38Speaker 4: They just hired two new Jewish people because they're like,
- 2:41Speaker 4: we got to mix up the fucking slurs, you know
- 2:42Speaker 4: what I mean?
- 2:43Speaker 1: Yeah, and so Nick Cannon can prove that he doesn't
- 2:45Speaker 1: hate Jewish people.
- 2:47Speaker 2: I know.
- 2:48Speaker 1: That's why we wanted to see if Harry could. Probably
- 2:50Speaker 1: he wouldn't be able to get on or now that
- 2:52Speaker 1: you're hiring he's seventy seven percent.
- 2:54Speaker 4: Found out he's seventy seven. Seventy seven US thought originally
- 2:57Speaker 4: it was thirty oh numbers back and it's seventy seven.
- 3:02Speaker 5: How do you feel it changed a lot for me?
- 3:04Speaker 4: Yeah, you started talking, you started acting like what.
- 3:06Speaker 3: Do you Yeah, those dudes came up to me when
- 3:10Speaker 3: I was leaving work. The other day and they were like,
- 3:11Speaker 3: you know, the people in the street and they're like,
- 3:13Speaker 3: are you Jewish?
- 3:14Speaker 5: And I was like, no, wait what dudes, that's never happened.
- 3:17Speaker 3: Probably oh wait that once or twice they can tell, yeah,
- 3:21Speaker 3: that has happened.
- 3:22Speaker 1: I took it as like an honor that they came
- 3:24Speaker 1: up like no, but thank you.
- 3:25Speaker 3: Someone say yes, they like do like a whole prayer
- 3:27Speaker 3: like on you and stuff, and I'm like, I'm not
- 3:29Speaker 3: what are they really on seventh.
- 3:31Speaker 4: I could go for like someone to pray for me.
- 3:34Speaker 1: Just a random Jewish might just say yes, yeah, you
- 3:36Speaker 1: just take it.
- 3:37Speaker 5: Oh if you say yes and you're not Jewish.
- 3:39Speaker 4: Yeah, why are they ask as?
- 3:43Speaker 1: Ye'll no, you're often you got to be Catholic as.
- 3:46Speaker 4: Fuck a CF dude.
- 3:48Speaker 1: Really you're that Catholic.
- 3:50Speaker 4: I was raised super Catholic, then my parents got divorced
- 3:52Speaker 4: and kind of abandoned it.
- 3:53Speaker 1: And damn that goes right against Catholicism that spits in
- 3:57Speaker 1: the field and.
- 3:59Speaker 4: My dad's gay. I'm kidding, but yeah, we were the
- 4:04Speaker 4: whole Catholic thing. YadA, YadA, YadA. It's weird though now
- 4:07Speaker 4: because like like the pedophilia and blah blah.
- 4:09Speaker 1: Blah, oh yeah, you can't share by it. Yeah, you
- 4:11Speaker 1: can't shake the pedophilia. It's like it just looms over you.
- 4:14Speaker 1: I know, I was Catholic and I went to Penn State,
- 4:17Speaker 1: so fucking pedophilia follows me like a fog.
- 4:20Speaker 4: Shit is fucking I think you follow the pedophilia.
- 4:23Speaker 1: I know, I'm sniffing it out, tasing down the pedophilia.
- 4:25Speaker 1: Now you work at bars like a trump pig. For
- 4:29Speaker 1: three levels of pedophilia.
- 4:32Speaker 3: I was like loosely Catholic and then I watched Spotlight
- 4:35Speaker 3: and then I was like, ah, yeah pedophilia, yeah good.
- 4:38Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 4:39Speaker 1: It was fine when they were like running up in
- 4:41Speaker 1: different countries and like converting people and spreading diseases and
- 4:45Speaker 1: fucking killing people in the name of God. But like
- 4:47Speaker 1: once it came to pedophilia, that's where I draw the
- 4:50Speaker 1: d That's where I have to get out. And it's
- 4:52Speaker 1: just it can't stand anymore. And I think everybody's out.
- 4:54Speaker 1: I don't think anyone's going to church anymore.
- 4:56Speaker 4: People are going to church though I have family in
- 4:58Speaker 4: New Jersey who goes to church every Sunday. How old
- 5:01Speaker 4: are they? How old are the people that go to church? Boomers?
- 5:03Speaker 4: But also their kids have picked up on the church.
- 5:05Speaker 1: Thing when they're passing it on.
- 5:08Speaker 4: Yeah, because alicism. Sometimes it's just like the kids just
- 5:10Speaker 4: like go forever.
- 5:12Speaker 1: I can't.
- 5:12Speaker 3: I feel like I went to a point where like
- 5:14Speaker 3: my mom was like, you have to go, and then
- 5:16Speaker 3: I got to an age I was like I don't
- 5:17Speaker 3: need to do this anymore.
- 5:18Speaker 5: Yeah, so I just started saying now some people just
- 5:21Speaker 5: like do it.
- 5:21Speaker 4: Yeah, Like my cousins just like have always just gone
- 5:24Speaker 4: to church. I think it's a strong nuclear family type
- 5:27Speaker 4: of thing. And guilt like I don't have.
- 5:29Speaker 1: If it's like passed passed down guilt, like internalized guilt,
- 5:32Speaker 1: it would just be like I can't not go. I
- 5:33Speaker 1: just have to go. But if it was fun as fuck,
- 5:36Speaker 1: it'd be harder to give up.
- 5:37Speaker 4: If church was fun as fuck, I would But it's
- 5:39Speaker 4: been always been boring.
- 5:40Speaker 1: It's always sucked. There's never been any fucking good music.
- 5:43Speaker 1: And I know that there's some churches that try to
- 5:45Speaker 1: be like, oh, we're gonna have a guitar player and
- 5:46Speaker 1: a dude with the mohawks singing, but like, for the
- 5:48Speaker 1: most part, it's not good music. It's not like fun,
- 5:51Speaker 1: like it's not it's not like interesting story.
- 5:53Speaker 5: Some of the songs were sticking.
- 5:55Speaker 4: An some of the songs slap.
- 5:56Speaker 3: I'm gonna like, yeah, you know, because I've had time
- 5:59Speaker 3: where like ran like I haven't been to church in
- 6:01Speaker 3: probably like eight years, and I have times still where
- 6:04Speaker 3: like in my head I'm like saying, like the our guys.
- 6:09Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, yeah.
- 6:14Speaker 1: But there was the one that was like we are called,
- 6:16Speaker 1: we are chosen, we are Christ. That one was fire.
- 6:20Speaker 1: It was called if you were going to the no,
- 6:22Speaker 1: we were too step. That's fine if you didn't get
- 6:25Speaker 1: into it, like I got into it from Philadelphi, like
- 6:28Speaker 1: the Philadelphia area from Massachusetts.
- 6:30Speaker 4: Okay, so we're more north of east. I'm like Buffalo
- 6:32Speaker 4: Buffalo might have a different regional tunes.
- 6:34Speaker 1: Yeah, you guys didn't get one that didn't get up
- 6:36Speaker 1: to you guys. It was tearing up the top forty
- 6:38Speaker 1: charts in church.
- 6:39Speaker 3: Fucking two steps into it was fucking are you a
- 6:42Speaker 3: big Benny the Butcher fan?
- 6:44Speaker 4: Is that a Buffalo rapper?
- 6:46Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 6:47Speaker 4: No, but I think everyone asked me about that. And
- 6:48Speaker 4: what's the other there's like something starts starts with a bar.
- 6:53Speaker 4: No rapper that starts with an R R Kelly from
- 6:55Speaker 4: No from Buffalo. Yes, there's an arn there a bunch
- 7:02Speaker 4: of them.
- 7:02Speaker 1: Yeah that Wait, so you don't like wrap that much?
- 7:06Speaker 4: Okay, so this is my wrapper. This is my thing.
- 7:09Speaker 4: I go to wild them out and then like for
- 7:11Speaker 4: like two weeks after wild them out. It's like a
- 7:13Speaker 4: girl who just studied.
- 7:14Speaker 1: Abroad and I'm like, I wear Barcelona.
- 7:18Speaker 4: Yes, and I wear like Jordan's and I'm like, yo,
- 7:20Speaker 4: this this new the baby, and then it wears off
- 7:24Speaker 4: every day and then I'm just back to like Ariana
- 7:26Speaker 4: Grande refresh. I like listen to rap just for a little.
- 7:30Speaker 4: I definitely am a code switch. You did the right,
- 7:33Speaker 4: Yes I did. Yes, Yeah, it was fun.
- 7:36Speaker 3: I like, so we met at moon Tower just like
- 7:39Speaker 3: that one show, and and then I that night, I
- 7:43Speaker 3: had like a flight at like five in the morning
- 7:45Speaker 3: the next day, and I you you.
- 7:47Speaker 4: Tuned me while you were waiting for YouTube deal.
- 7:49Speaker 5: Oh my god, I've watched I know what did you find?
- 7:54Speaker 4: Well?
- 7:54Speaker 5: No, That's when I was like, oh, we should have wrong.
- 7:56Speaker 4: There's a lot of.
- 7:57Speaker 3: Roans like, I mean, not to toot his horn, but
- 7:59Speaker 3: he's like, wrap out a legend.
- 8:01Speaker 4: Wait your ron, Hold on a second, it's all making sense.
- 8:09Speaker 4: I thought you were just some guy.
- 8:11Speaker 1: I am kind of just some guy.
- 8:12Speaker 4: Like look at your your posture everything. You're not like
- 8:15Speaker 4: giving Roan right now?
- 8:16Speaker 1: What do you mean everything?
- 8:17Speaker 4: Okay? Now I have to like backtrack. Yeah, you fell off.
- 8:20Speaker 1: You got to get back to you like Julius styles
- 8:22Speaker 1: and saved the last dance? Right now? What do you mean?
- 8:24Speaker 1: I'm not giving culture?
- 8:25Speaker 4: And we all know in well you're in your You're
- 8:27Speaker 4: in your flop era right now. But let's okay, let
- 8:31Speaker 4: me backtrack. People have been telling me about you for years.
- 8:34Speaker 1: Really.
- 8:34Speaker 4: Yes, I used to work with Francis who we all know,
- 8:37Speaker 4: Francis LS. You used to work with Rip Bar still Francis.
- 8:40Speaker 1: As a as a as a comedian.
- 8:42Speaker 4: Yeah, and we've still stand up. We've been in random
- 8:45Speaker 4: writers rooms before. And when I got it wild and out,
- 8:47Speaker 4: he's like you got him my boy Rode and he
- 8:49Speaker 4: showed me your fucking videos. Damn, I'm so sorry. I
- 8:52Speaker 4: like don't know anyone.
- 8:53Speaker 1: That's fine, No, no, it's fine.
- 8:55Speaker 4: When you introduced me, I did you say Roan or do.
- 8:57Speaker 1: You I did? I think I did? And I was
- 8:59Speaker 1: gonna because I used just say Adams two PM.
- 9:02Speaker 4: This is now. I feel like I'm in a dream
- 9:03Speaker 4: with a little sasquad rone and whoever that is so dude, that's.
- 9:07Speaker 5: My AUDIOCE gets super loud.
- 9:10Speaker 4: I don't know, kil Ron, you're getting too excited.
- 9:12Speaker 1: I did get super excited. You know me. You do
- 9:15Speaker 1: battle rap I battle rapp against the dude named shown
- 9:18Speaker 1: I know, yeah from Wilder Out.
- 9:20Speaker 4: Yeah, are you really and I are tight? Dude? I was.
- 9:23Speaker 1: I was so mean to him. I don't feel bad
- 9:25Speaker 1: because he uh, his feelings don't get hurt. But what
- 9:30Speaker 1: oh yeah, oh that's what Ron.
- 9:31Speaker 5: He did the whole rapper I was.
- 9:33Speaker 1: I talked for a full round about how autistic he was. Yeah,
- 9:37Speaker 1: but I spun it into like it's such a sweet
- 9:40Speaker 1: thing that you're autistic. Like I'm the one who's disadvantage
- 9:43Speaker 1: trying to be a battle rapper who's not autistic because
- 9:45Speaker 1: it helps him. It's like a cheat code, like he
- 9:47Speaker 1: can like organize like rhymes better in his head.
- 9:49Speaker 4: Insane the things that he brings to wild Out. I'm like,
- 9:52Speaker 4: this is a show on MTV two for like fourteen
- 9:56Speaker 4: year olds, and he's like, you're a jew, but the
- 9:58Speaker 4: only thing about you is the fact and you're like
- 10:00Speaker 4: you got to chill, man, you have to chill, like
- 10:05Speaker 4: like hurtful bars. He one time he said something about
- 10:08Speaker 4: JFK being shot in the head. I'm like, these kids
- 10:10Speaker 4: don't even know who our current president is, but go off,
- 10:13Speaker 4: but continue, We're.
- 10:13Speaker 1: Not going to know old president murderers.
- 10:15Speaker 4: I'm obsessed, but I'm so hard he Uh.
- 10:19Speaker 1: When he was sixteen, he like, uh, he went to
- 10:22Speaker 1: like a rival high school and said like, uh, some
- 10:25Speaker 1: some like barbaric line about a kid from their high
- 10:28Speaker 1: school who had just died in a car crash, and
- 10:31Speaker 1: they like surrounded him, like they want to let him leave.
- 10:34Speaker 1: But at that time he just was like his brain
- 10:36Speaker 1: was just turned off to like any of the negative
- 10:39Speaker 1: things that could happen, and was just like, what's the
- 10:40Speaker 1: most brutal, fucked up thing that I could say to somebody.
- 10:43Speaker 4: That's what he does. He reminds me of a couple
- 10:44Speaker 4: of like roast battlers in the city. Yeah, people do
- 10:47Speaker 4: that during roast battles. Yeah, they're like obsessed, and it's
- 10:50Speaker 4: kind of like similar brain tendencies of like obsession and
- 10:53Speaker 4: going hard and can't rest until it's over.
- 10:56Speaker 1: Yeah, it's fun. It is a crazy thing. To have
- 10:58Speaker 1: is that how you got on too wat and out roast?
- 11:01Speaker 5: How did you were you doing? Like like just yeah.
- 11:03Speaker 4: You know, like the stand you said roast masters and stuff.
- 11:05Speaker 4: So I used to do that and that Lewis, Yeah,
- 11:08Speaker 4: Louis Gomez. It was a bunch of us, didn't me.
- 11:12Speaker 4: Kim Congdon, Rosebud was in there, and then Brendon and
- 11:16Speaker 4: all all these people I had, So because of that,
- 11:19Speaker 4: all these roast masters went on YouTube. So I just
- 11:21Speaker 4: sent that in for the wild'n Out audition, and then
- 11:24Speaker 4: when I auditioned, I had to do like stand up
- 11:26Speaker 4: and rap and stuff like that. I definitely have an
- 11:28Speaker 4: advantage because I'm like a white girl, you know what
- 11:30Speaker 4: I mean, Because I'm always like, oh my when people audition,
- 11:32Speaker 4: I'm like, oh my god, it's so easy. It's so straightforward.
- 11:36Speaker 4: But I do understand that I.
- 11:38Speaker 1: Played into a little bit about archetype that they maybe
- 11:40Speaker 1: were looking for.
- 11:41Speaker 4: I don't even know if I played, But I'm lucky
- 11:43Speaker 4: to be a funny white woman within the context of
- 11:45Speaker 4: that show.
- 11:46Speaker 1: Yeah it's great, it's super helpful. But also, I mean
- 11:48Speaker 1: doing roast battles is like, uh, that's like a joke.
- 11:52Speaker 1: Writing exercise where you have to be like really compact
- 11:55Speaker 1: with your language. Yeah, you do, and like it's helpful
- 11:58Speaker 1: to prepare you, I think for stuff I wolding out.
- 12:00Speaker 4: I think so too.
- 12:01Speaker 1: Yeah, I find it was it hard? Was it was
- 12:03Speaker 1: it far?
- 12:04Speaker 5: That's something you wanted to do for a while?
- 12:06Speaker 4: Uh no, I My only goal was to not have
- 12:08Speaker 4: an office job. And so then when I got the
- 12:10Speaker 4: Wild Now and I was like, I guess this is it.
- 12:13Speaker 4: I didn't see it coming like this, but I really
- 12:15Speaker 4: thought it would be something else. When I first got it,
- 12:18Speaker 4: people would be like, like, you know Broke Comics and Brooklyn,
- 12:22Speaker 4: are you embarrassed to be on that? I'm like, you,
- 12:23Speaker 4: I don't have a job. Yeah, what are you fucking
- 12:26Speaker 4: kidding me?
- 12:26Speaker 1: What would you be?
- 12:27Speaker 5: But yeah, that's awesome.
- 12:28Speaker 4: I don't know. I mean, I like there's some things about.
- 12:31Speaker 5: A lot, but like it kills Like I cry laughing.
- 12:33Speaker 4: That's the other It doesn't even matter, just like it's work.
- 12:37Speaker 1: Yeah, like you work people are like bartenders or like
- 12:40Speaker 1: fucking work at a at a fucking like in an
- 12:42Speaker 1: office or like at a fuck as like a tech
- 12:45Speaker 1: for a fucking doctor or something like that. Like there's
- 12:48Speaker 1: so many jobs that aren't in entertainment. That it's like
- 12:51Speaker 1: anything to not have one, anything, anything to just be
- 12:54Speaker 1: in entertainment. Yeah, I agree, which is uh, but people,
- 12:57Speaker 1: I don't know what those people are doing that it's
- 12:59Speaker 1: like a point of like privilege almost to be like, oh,
- 13:02Speaker 1: like you will fucking take any job that's given to
- 13:04Speaker 1: It's like, yeah, I'll take it.
- 13:05Speaker 4: Actually, yeah a percent.
- 13:07Speaker 1: If you're going to pay me to just like crack jokes,
- 13:09Speaker 1: I'll take the job.
- 13:12Speaker 4: I know totally. People are just like weird and they
- 13:15Speaker 4: have this like purest sense of like how their career
- 13:17Speaker 4: is going to go. So it's kind of like projecting
- 13:19Speaker 4: an insecurity. So someone else's career doesn't look like the
- 13:22Speaker 4: way you thought yours would, you're gonna like insult them
- 13:25Speaker 4: out of like, oh they got that, and also let
- 13:27Speaker 4: me undermine that. For the reason I live in Queens
- 13:30Speaker 4: in Astoria.
- 13:32Speaker 1: Yeah, I feel like there's a lot of funny ass
- 13:34Speaker 1: people in Astoria and I don't know why.
- 13:36Speaker 4: Because it's close to the airport. Yeah, that's pretty much
- 13:39Speaker 4: what it comes down to. Yeah, because we can all
- 13:42Speaker 4: fly out for our gigs. That's really what it comes
- 13:45Speaker 4: down to. It's I'm eight minutes from the airport. I
- 13:48Speaker 4: used to like brag to people. I used to be like, yeah,
- 13:49Speaker 4: but I'm close to the airport. Then I realized it's
- 13:51Speaker 4: like the equivalent of living in Burbank in LA or
- 13:54Speaker 4: something like. It's not a good thing if when you're an airport.
- 13:57Speaker 1: As far as the airport plane you're getting wake Are
- 14:00Speaker 1: you getting woken up every night by.
- 14:01Speaker 4: Like no gas plan? It's not. No. I don't know
- 14:04Speaker 4: how that works, because.
- 14:05Speaker 5: Maybe it's the other way.
- 14:06Speaker 4: Maybe I think it zooms around. I am getting woken
- 14:08Speaker 4: up recently by a screaming baby every single night next door. Damn.
- 14:11Speaker 5: I thought you're gonna say that thunder today.
- 14:13Speaker 4: Dude, What was that?
- 14:14Speaker 1: I heard that too.
- 14:15Speaker 4: I woke up and I was like, this is what
- 14:16Speaker 4: I get for doing a barstool podcast. This is God
- 14:20Speaker 4: cursing me and sending me a place. Your house. Yeah,
- 14:22Speaker 4: they struck my house. I was like, oh my god,
- 14:24Speaker 4: I should cancer on Harry Dude.
- 14:27Speaker 1: There was fucking car car alarms going off. I thought
- 14:30Speaker 1: it happened like on my block. But then I heard
- 14:32Speaker 1: there's car alarms going off in Manhattan.
- 14:34Speaker 5: And I didn't We didn't have car alarms, but my
- 14:36Speaker 5: apartment was like shaking.
- 14:37Speaker 4: It was crazy.
- 14:37Speaker 3: I thought I woke up. I think there was like
- 14:39Speaker 3: two big ones. I woke up from the second big one.
- 14:42Speaker 3: I woke up from the first one. Then I was
- 14:44Speaker 3: like awake for the second one. I literally thought that
- 14:46Speaker 3: like my windows were going to like explode, like I.
- 14:48Speaker 5: Thought we got bombed.
- 14:49Speaker 4: Yeah, it was crazy.
- 14:50Speaker 5: It was dead set for like two minutes. I was like,
- 14:52Speaker 5: this is it, this is it.
- 14:53Speaker 4: Russia's here.
- 14:53Speaker 1: Yeah, you were fired.
- 14:54Speaker 3: If I was gonna look outside and they'd be like
- 14:56Speaker 3: a massive mushroom cloud over Brooklyn.
- 14:59Speaker 4: If we got like ward On or whatever, Yes, what
- 15:02Speaker 4: would you guys do?
- 15:03Speaker 5: Yeah, I think New York would be fucked.
- 15:05Speaker 4: Yeah, we're so dense.
- 15:07Speaker 3: Yeah, and it's like also it's like it's the hotspot
- 15:10Speaker 3: New York and d C.
- 15:11Speaker 1: I think, but they expect I think that they expect
- 15:13Speaker 1: the dudes to stay, which is kind of bullshit. Like
- 15:15Speaker 1: dudes in Ukraine were just like sending their families off
- 15:18Speaker 1: and fucking fighting. Fuck that dude, I thought were I
- 15:22Speaker 1: thought we're doing a quality. I thought that the women
- 15:24Speaker 1: had to they got to strap up too.
- 15:26Speaker 3: Like there we would be even if there was a
- 15:28Speaker 3: threat that New York was like gonna get bombed. We
- 15:32Speaker 3: would be fun because there's there would be no way
- 15:33Speaker 3: to get out.
- 15:33Speaker 5: Would you'd have to like swim.
- 15:37Speaker 4: It would be crazy, yeah.
- 15:38Speaker 1: Or just walk out like you'd have to migrate like
- 15:40Speaker 1: true refuge like true refugee ship.
- 15:42Speaker 4: By that point, I'm like, I'll just kill myself.
- 15:44Speaker 1: Yeah, I would not.
- 15:45Speaker 4: I'm not walking across the George Washington and then where
- 15:48Speaker 4: you are in New Jersey.
- 15:49Speaker 1: No, I'm in uh Brooklyn.
- 15:51Speaker 4: No. I mean like after you walk walk out of
- 15:53Speaker 4: New York, you're in New Jersey, Like what's oh yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 15:55Speaker 4: I'll just kill myself.
- 15:58Speaker 3: I wouldn't kill myself because the bomb would you have
- 16:00Speaker 3: so quickly? Or you're assuming you wouldn't have to, like
- 16:03Speaker 3: you would have to any.
- 16:04Speaker 4: Sort of like war or apocalyptic situation. I'm just gonna
- 16:08Speaker 4: immediately kill my son. I can't deal with some food
- 16:11Speaker 4: rations and like sitting in an abandoned bus. Really, yeah, we.
- 16:15Speaker 5: Got to get your survival game up.
- 16:17Speaker 4: How are you supposed to do that after we've had
- 16:18Speaker 4: Wi Fi?
- 16:19Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean if they just wiped out Internet, I
- 16:21Speaker 1: don't the biggest threat. That's like one of the biggest threats.
- 16:25Speaker 5: Is like fucking what are they called?
- 16:29Speaker 3: It's like a black like the blackout bombs, which just
- 16:31Speaker 3: takes down all of like the surhinge.
- 16:32Speaker 4: Oh my god.
- 16:33Speaker 1: We asked one of our buddies in the office, like,
- 16:36Speaker 1: what he would do this guy named Lenny Balls if well,
- 16:38Speaker 1: he would do if there was no more airport?
- 16:42Speaker 5: Yeah, Lenny Bulls, Lenny Bowls.
- 16:44Speaker 1: He's a fucking Along Island dude. Fat obviously he's a
- 16:48Speaker 1: he's self proclaimed and just like, where's it fat?
- 16:51Speaker 5: You got a lot of fat people here?
- 16:52Speaker 4: Okay? Cool?
- 16:53Speaker 1: It works, working, working, like working fat people.
- 16:56Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, there's like ten people usual to me. And
- 17:00Speaker 4: what a progressive office. I know it's part of their
- 17:03Speaker 4: diversity statement to have fat people. We have two fat
- 17:07Speaker 4: guys and now a new new kind of kind of
- 17:10Speaker 4: lizo type.
- 17:11Speaker 1: Are you talking about Charlie Clips? Oh, I guess he's
- 17:14Speaker 1: Charlie Clips is fat.
- 17:15Speaker 5: Who is the new girl, Courtney b Is she from
- 17:17Speaker 5: the stand?
- 17:18Speaker 4: Yeah? She's at the stand? Yea.
- 17:20Speaker 5: I was talking to someone like.
- 17:22Speaker 3: Two nights ago on Friday, I think, and they were like, yeah,
- 17:25Speaker 3: she's she's about to be on weld now yea.
- 17:26Speaker 1: But this dude, Glenny Balls was like I get to
- 17:28Speaker 1: cldik at ubers and he was like, I would have
- 17:31Speaker 1: to like go to like walk up to a taxi
- 17:33Speaker 1: cab and like, I guess I would like have to
- 17:34Speaker 1: type it in my phone like where I was going,
- 17:37Speaker 1: And like Lennie, like you can you can talk still,
- 17:39Speaker 1: like just because there's not any more Internet. It doesn't
- 17:41Speaker 1: mean that you're like you're not allowed to talk to anybody.
- 17:43Speaker 1: But that's how foreign it is to people that if
- 17:45Speaker 1: there was no Internet, people would just stop talking, Like
- 17:47Speaker 1: people wouldn't know what to do. Yeah, it would be
- 17:49Speaker 1: it would be bad news.
- 17:51Speaker 4: It would be crazy.
- 17:52Speaker 1: I feel like I would try to like lead some
- 17:53Speaker 1: kind of counterinsurgency or some shit like that and like
- 17:56Speaker 1: try and run the streets and like like drive a
- 17:58Speaker 1: bus around like fucking plowing through fucking good, good meaning
- 18:02Speaker 1: citizens and go cannibal or some shit like that, try
- 18:05Speaker 1: and run the like take advantage of a crisis.
- 18:07Speaker 4: I feel like I was very real.
- 18:11Speaker 1: Yeah, at least I'm being honest about it. You'd kill yourself.
- 18:14Speaker 1: Sas would join the army, he'd be like a fucking
- 18:16Speaker 1: massive peach.
- 18:17Speaker 5: I wouldn't join up. I would probably try and get
- 18:19Speaker 5: some food and then just chilling the apartment.
- 18:21Speaker 4: I would hoard food, I think, and yeah I have.
- 18:24Speaker 5: A food frozen frozen goods, I think frozen.
- 18:27Speaker 1: How are you? How are you? Like, where are you
- 18:29Speaker 1: going to get all a ton of frozen food from?
- 18:31Speaker 4: At the grocery store? You hear the bomb and then
- 18:33Speaker 4: immediately run a key food and you come back with
- 18:35Speaker 4: all the i'd.
- 18:37Speaker 5: Ruther Dwayne read right.
- 18:38Speaker 1: Would you spend money?
- 18:39Speaker 5: Yeah, because no one's gonna I.
- 18:40Speaker 4: Guess I would spend money. I don't want to indicate
- 18:43Speaker 4: to other people that they should panic, you know what
- 18:44Speaker 4: I mean? So I would act normal, bring all the
- 18:47Speaker 4: pizza bag.
- 18:47Speaker 1: But they would be panicking.
- 18:49Speaker 3: Remember like day one of COVID, people were like buying
- 18:52Speaker 3: thousands of rolls of paper that was and toilet paper.
- 18:55Speaker 1: And who started that rumor? It was definitely the paper
- 18:57Speaker 1: towel people that were like, oh, there's not going to
- 18:59Speaker 1: be that.
- 18:59Speaker 3: There was this one dude who like a bron who
- 19:01Speaker 3: like bought out like the entire like an entire state
- 19:04Speaker 3: worth of hand sanitizer. Yeah, you remember planning on like
- 19:07Speaker 3: selling it all for like billion dollars and then it
- 19:09Speaker 3: just like the like everyone stopped caring about the pandemic.
- 19:12Speaker 1: Well, I think they canceled his ass.
- 19:14Speaker 5: They canceled that hard. Yeah, it wasn't that terrible plan.
- 19:19Speaker 4: There was also a group of uh has seeds in
- 19:22Speaker 4: Brooklyn who bought U ship ton of N ninety fives
- 19:25Speaker 4: and we're like selling them on the black market. Really yeah,
- 19:27Speaker 4: that was like huge drama in April twenty twenty.
- 19:30Speaker 1: That's smart as fuck, though, take Have you ever.
- 19:32Speaker 5: Worn it N ninety five?
- 19:34Speaker 4: Yeah? I have. They suck and they're so fucking ugly,
- 19:36Speaker 4: comfortable and so hot. Yeah, they're so high ugly at
- 19:39Speaker 4: fu so ugly.
- 19:40Speaker 3: I had to wear one pretty recently because it was
- 19:42Speaker 3: the only mask I could find.
- 19:44Speaker 4: Your life is so hard. We have to wear them
- 19:46Speaker 4: on the Wild and outset because it's like an N
- 19:48Speaker 4: ninety five zone. Oh really yeah, we still have to
- 19:51Speaker 4: wear masks and stuff and test every two days.
- 19:53Speaker 1: Where does it?
- 19:53Speaker 4: Uh?
- 19:54Speaker 1: Where do you? Where do you shoot in?
- 19:55Speaker 4: Atlanta? Atlanta? Magic City?
- 20:00Speaker 1: Really? Does Uncle Nick come through every show or what?
- 20:03Speaker 4: Every show? Yeah? Really, well, that's so weird. I just
- 20:05Speaker 4: had a dream last night he wasn't hosting, and we
- 20:07Speaker 4: like pretended he was there because they were going to
- 20:09Speaker 4: insert him in the edit Yeah, yeah, And in the dream,
- 20:13Speaker 4: I was like, I guess it makes sense.
- 20:15Speaker 1: He is twenty kids, dude, he can't stop having fucking kids.
- 20:19Speaker 4: I know, it's crazy.
- 20:20Speaker 1: Why is he having so many kids? Is he trying
- 20:21Speaker 1: to like repopulate the earths? Uh? With Nick Cannons, is
- 20:25Speaker 1: he trying to like spread his seed far and wide?
- 20:27Speaker 1: Wasn't that what Steve Jobs was trying to do before
- 20:28Speaker 1: he died?
- 20:29Speaker 4: Oh? With Steve Job's doing that too. How many kids
- 20:31Speaker 4: did he did he have?
- 20:32Speaker 1: Or maybe he was just in the planning phase of
- 20:34Speaker 1: spreading his seed far and wide?
- 20:36Speaker 3: But I know easy E had like fifty kids, and
- 20:39Speaker 3: him and his friend were in like a competition have
- 20:42Speaker 3: more kids.
- 20:43Speaker 5: That's just so much aid.
- 20:44Speaker 4: That's fucking nasty. But then the other part of me
- 20:46Speaker 4: is like, I guess that's pretty cool. Yeah, sometimes people
- 20:49Speaker 4: do that. Why do they have to live by my roles?
- 20:51Speaker 1: Moses? Moses was doing shit like that.
- 20:53Speaker 4: Abraham, I think Abraham?
- 20:55Speaker 1: Yeah, Abraham was just had had fucking kids glow. Yeah,
- 20:58Speaker 1: he was just running around like a fuck legend. I
- 21:00Speaker 1: guess Nick Cannon is like a new prophet. Have you
- 21:03Speaker 1: ever asked him about it? What's your conversation.
- 21:04Speaker 4: Oh, they're pretty on the surface.
- 21:07Speaker 1: Yeah, Hey, how are you good?
- 21:09Speaker 4: Yeah, so you're touring?
- 21:10Speaker 1: Yeah, how many kids do you have?
- 21:13Speaker 4: How's Mariah? So?
- 21:16Speaker 1: Do people still make fun of him for Mariah Carey?
- 21:18Speaker 4: Yeah, it's kind of old though. Yeah, it's getting old,
- 21:21Speaker 4: like making fun of him for his music Mariah Carrey.
- 21:23Speaker 4: How many kids? He was like getting old?
- 21:25Speaker 1: Yeah, you got to find new things to and like
- 21:28Speaker 1: he was like a turban face. He's a turban phases.
- 21:31Speaker 4: No, he's over that now. He like wears just like
- 21:33Speaker 4: a lot of Louis Vuitton and he's really into like
- 21:36Speaker 4: sit ups.
- 21:36Speaker 1: He's oh yeah he does. And he's like sixty five.
- 21:41Speaker 4: Right, No, what he's forty.
- 21:45Speaker 1: He was always like he was always like a little
- 21:47Speaker 1: bit older than I would realize and be like, wait,
- 21:49Speaker 1: he's kind of like a mogul.
- 21:51Speaker 4: He has been around our entire lives.
- 21:53Speaker 1: I know. It's like one of the last like uh,
- 21:56Speaker 1: it's like a connection to MTV. Yeah, it's like one
- 21:59Speaker 1: of the last great jobs on or like pretty good
- 22:02Speaker 1: jobs on MTV. Like all the shows that were on
- 22:05Speaker 1: MTV kind of like had this massive rise and then
- 22:09Speaker 1: you know turned into something else. But like wilding out,
- 22:11Speaker 1: like has this staying power that I don't know, I
- 22:14Speaker 1: don't know why, but it has to be like Nick
- 22:16Speaker 1: Cannon and he's almost uncancellable.
- 22:18Speaker 4: I also think there's like a not a not a
- 22:20Speaker 4: lot of like pure just fun comedy shows out there
- 22:24Speaker 4: that are that replicable. And it's I mean from a
- 22:26Speaker 4: money standpoint, it's really easy to produce. Yeah, it's like
- 22:29Speaker 4: in Practical Jokers, which has been on for a million
- 22:32Speaker 4: seasons and like True TV, like that's the only show
- 22:35Speaker 4: on True TV because it's so fucking easy.
- 22:37Speaker 1: What goes into the production? Is it? Like I know
- 22:40Speaker 1: that it's like a lot almost? Is it like a
- 22:42Speaker 1: camp where like you spend a couple of days like
- 22:44Speaker 1: rehearsing like baby Mound, and you're all like kind of
- 22:47Speaker 1: in like I feel like you're in like it's literally
- 22:49Speaker 1: a lobby ball or like a hotel ballroom or some shit.
- 22:51Speaker 4: How do you know that? I don't know.
- 22:53Speaker 1: I just feel like I've seen like videos people like practicing.
- 22:57Speaker 4: It's exactly it. Yeah. We go, we go like up
- 23:01Speaker 4: to our hotel and we you know, stay there for
- 23:04Speaker 4: two weeks. We get like a suite in our hotel
- 23:07Speaker 4: and then we do war them up, like rehearsal for
- 23:10Speaker 4: like four days in a conference room and we play
- 23:13Speaker 4: zim zaps up and you'll go in a circle. Yeah,
- 23:16Speaker 4: it's like improv class. They'll do like the circle Up.
- 23:19Speaker 4: There's Nile, he's the executive producers like Circle Up, Circle
- 23:22Speaker 4: Up season eighteen, Clap it Up. And it's like it's
- 23:26Speaker 4: like and he's like, I gotta make cuts this season.
- 23:28Speaker 4: Like every season, there's like threatens of cuts and then
- 23:30Speaker 4: everyone stays and everyone's like, fuck, I don't want to
- 23:35Speaker 4: get cut, And like there's like mind games and stuff
- 23:38Speaker 4: in a fun way, in a fun way, not like
- 23:40Speaker 4: SNL mind games, more just like he wants everyone to
- 23:42Speaker 4: do well, so he like makes what kind of mind games,
- 23:44Speaker 4: just like telling people that he's gonna make cuts or
- 23:47Speaker 4: like I don't have room for everyone. And then you're
- 23:49Speaker 4: at the end of yeah, if you're horrifyingly bad or
- 23:53Speaker 4: you don't do like what they're telling you specifically, they'll
- 23:56Speaker 4: be like you have to go home. But for the
- 23:58Speaker 4: most part they're like threatened cut and then everyone stays.
- 24:01Speaker 1: And do people are people blindsided when they get cut?
- 24:04Speaker 1: Is it like no?
- 24:06Speaker 4: No, there's a lot of like he'll tell you, like
- 24:08Speaker 4: over and over and over again, what.
- 24:10Speaker 1: Is it like?
- 24:10Speaker 5: They is it like new people that get cut? Like
- 24:12Speaker 5: it doesn't work.
- 24:12Speaker 4: Out sometimes new, But sometimes it's someone who's been on
- 24:14Speaker 4: for four seasons and they're like, all right, this is
- 24:16Speaker 4: your season to let us know what your thing is.
- 24:19Speaker 4: And they still can't figure it out. So there's multiple warnings.
- 24:22Speaker 4: How long have you been on five seasons?
- 24:24Speaker 2: Damn?
- 24:24Speaker 4: Yeah, that's a lot of season. Yeah.
- 24:26Speaker 5: How often do you guys, Like how often do you
- 24:28Speaker 5: guys record?
- 24:29Speaker 4: We film like every six months or so. Nice.
- 24:31Speaker 5: Yeah, so all those sounds like a pretty sweet gig.
- 24:35Speaker 4: I can't complain, Yeah, and I find myself complaining and
- 24:38Speaker 4: I'm like.
- 24:38Speaker 5: Shut up, Yeah, well we can plan all the time.
- 24:40Speaker 4: Yeah, I know. And then there's people who are there's
- 24:43Speaker 4: people who are like twenty years into comedy and they're's like,
- 24:45Speaker 4: I don't know what my movie is.
- 24:47Speaker 1: They're like the same show with like Kevin Hart was
- 24:49Speaker 1: like a cast memory.
- 24:50Speaker 4: Yeah, it's kind of like Kat Williams or.
- 24:52Speaker 1: Yeah, and like it turns like people wind up getting
- 24:55Speaker 1: like rich off of stuff they do, like through wilden Out.
- 24:58Speaker 1: I know, like people people.
- 25:00Speaker 4: For me, it's like now I'm able to sell tickets.
- 25:03Speaker 4: Once you have like a following, everything just goes further.
- 25:06Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah you can, you can.
- 25:08Speaker 4: You're so much more. What's the word motivated to like
- 25:11Speaker 4: put stuff out there when you don't have three thousand followers. Yeah,
- 25:15Speaker 4: when you get like above twenty thousand, you're like, oh,
- 25:17Speaker 4: I guess people will already be there.
- 25:19Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 25:19Speaker 3: I remember that was such as a feeding feeling, like
- 25:21Speaker 3: working on like a video for like, yeah, six hours
- 25:23Speaker 3: and putting it down against like two hundred friends.
- 25:26Speaker 4: But when you have a following, you're like, all right,
- 25:28Speaker 4: I'll fill them every set and I'll put stuff out there,
- 25:30Speaker 4: and then it just starts snowballing and then all of
- 25:33Speaker 4: a sudden, your only thing isn't wilding out. It's like,
- 25:35Speaker 4: oh shit, I have a million things that people know
- 25:37Speaker 4: me from, and that's going to help my audience is
- 25:40Speaker 4: because it's such a diverse audience. It's like white girls
- 25:43Speaker 4: and black dudes who come to my shows.
- 25:45Speaker 1: Which is fucking sick.
- 25:46Speaker 4: It's awesome.
- 25:47Speaker 5: Yeah, that nice and diverse.
- 25:48Speaker 4: It is really diverse.
- 25:50Speaker 7: I'm not going back to college to be your friend.
- 25:52Speaker 7: I'm going so I can get uber one for students.
- 25:55Speaker 7: It saves you on Uber and Uber eats. I'm there
- 25:57Speaker 7: for zero dollar delivery, fe you on cheeseburger, up to
- 26:00Speaker 7: ten percent off smoothies, and six percent Uber credits back
- 26:03Speaker 7: on rides. Just to be clear, I'm there for savings,
- 26:07Speaker 7: not whatever you think college is for Get.
- 26:09Speaker 3: Uber one for students a membership to save on Uber
- 26:12Speaker 3: and Uber eats.
- 26:13Speaker 5: With deals this good.
- 26:14Speaker 3: Everyone wants to be a student joined for just four
- 26:16Speaker 3: ninety nine a month.
- 26:17Speaker 4: Savings may very eligibility and member terms apply. Damn time.
- 26:21Speaker 1: What's the process like of like what U is film
- 26:25Speaker 1: for a live, wild and out taping versus like what
- 26:28Speaker 1: makes it onto this? Like onto the show?
- 26:32Speaker 4: We filmed for like an hour an or an hour
- 26:35Speaker 4: fifteen or something and then like twenty three minutes makes
- 26:37Speaker 4: the episode.
- 26:38Speaker 1: And is all the stuff within the hour? Is it
- 26:40Speaker 1: like pretty planned out? Like you've kind of like rehearsed
- 26:43Speaker 1: it or like you know, like if you're doing like
- 26:45Speaker 1: a little pickup and kill it or whatever, like you know,
- 26:47Speaker 1: the heat would We're big fans of pick up.
- 26:51Speaker 4: We love to good kill it. In this house we
- 26:53Speaker 4: play pick them and kill it. We know, like what
- 26:56Speaker 4: games we're gonna play. Yeah, And because it's TV. You
- 26:59Speaker 4: have to know like the and stuff like that, because
- 27:01Speaker 4: they're not gonna waste camera rolls on like everyone improvising,
- 27:04Speaker 4: so you know like the structure of the episode, but
- 27:07Speaker 4: you don't know like what's gonna make the episode or
- 27:09Speaker 4: like what actually what jokes are going to like be
- 27:11Speaker 4: good until the episode's over, and so you have like
- 27:16Speaker 4: there's no like rehearsal. There's no like there's no like
- 27:18Speaker 4: producers know like what jokes are gonna say. Oh really,
- 27:21Speaker 4: no one knows.
- 27:22Speaker 1: So it's kind of just up to you. Yeah, and
- 27:23Speaker 1: so can people. People can fuck up then.
- 27:26Speaker 4: Yeah, people out the time really yeah, and.
- 27:29Speaker 1: They just don't put it in obviously how.
- 27:31Speaker 4: They want to unless it's like a funny, unfunny fuck up.
- 27:34Speaker 1: Damn. So it's like a live show.
- 27:36Speaker 4: It's a live show.
- 27:37Speaker 5: Do you so, like do people like buy tickets or
- 27:39Speaker 5: do you guys?
- 27:40Speaker 4: I think you can get them for free, but there's
- 27:42Speaker 4: like a lottery or something. Yeah.
- 27:44Speaker 1: Yeah, Yeah, it's fucking fascinating, Yeah, because there's not shows
- 27:47Speaker 1: like that. There's not shows it's like last one. Yeah.
- 27:50Speaker 1: But it's like like we were saying, last week is
- 27:52Speaker 1: like vaudeville. It's like like you go up and it's
- 27:54Speaker 1: like a variety show and like all these different types
- 27:57Speaker 1: of like in the classroom.
- 28:02Speaker 4: I'm okay, that's two games so far. I'm ready for
- 28:04Speaker 4: you to drop more.
- 28:07Speaker 1: I sprinkle in there because I did. They did ask
- 28:10Speaker 1: me like, uh before I started at barstool to like
- 28:13Speaker 1: come through and try out. I was in like that
- 28:15Speaker 1: are I mean it's just.
- 28:16Speaker 4: Like does barstool not let you guys do directivities that? Dave? Dave,
- 28:22Speaker 4: come on, we're he's down here reviewing pizza. I think.
- 28:28Speaker 1: He has like one I don't know, but it's uh,
- 28:32Speaker 1: it's just like the fact it's like a couple of reading. No,
- 28:37Speaker 1: it's just it's just a fascinating Uh, it's just a
- 28:41Speaker 1: fascinating like style of comedy. It's it's dope.
- 28:46Speaker 4: Yeah it is. It's pretty cool.
- 28:47Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 28:47Speaker 5: How long do you think you'll be there?
- 28:49Speaker 4: I think I'll be there till I can't be there.
- 28:52Speaker 5: Yeah, so, because.
- 28:54Speaker 4: Uh my white ass down, I'm gonna because they're always
- 29:00Speaker 4: like Nick wants you to be able to leave and
- 29:02Speaker 4: come back as a guest. He doesn't want you to
- 29:04Speaker 4: be here forever, like.
- 29:06Speaker 1: You know, like rotate through new people.
- 29:08Speaker 4: Yeah, they They want you to get to the point
- 29:09Speaker 4: where you're like, oh, I can only make one week,
- 29:11Speaker 4: or like I can only make four days, and then
- 29:13Speaker 4: to the point where like, oh, I'm too big for
- 29:15Speaker 4: the show. Right, that's a goal. They're too big for
- 29:19Speaker 4: the show, but they're still on it. They say that,
- 29:21Speaker 4: they're like, we want you to graduate, but then they
- 29:23Speaker 4: still need this. Yeah, I like I'm shading on the show.
- 29:27Speaker 4: Is all friendly, friendly analysis, right.
- 29:30Speaker 1: We're saying like how cool it is. Yeah, we're sucking
- 29:32Speaker 1: off the show.
- 29:32Speaker 4: Right, wolding out, Yeah, yeah.
- 29:38Speaker 1: It's yeah, it's it's incredible. Carter Deems another Did.
- 29:41Speaker 4: You have Carter? Yeah he was. He's not on the
- 29:43Speaker 4: show anymore.
- 29:44Speaker 5: Yeah, he was chopped.
- 29:48Speaker 4: You didn't even get this. He sent his own ass home.
- 29:51Speaker 4: He sent his own ass home. They asked him to
- 29:54Speaker 4: come back, and he said he had to work.
- 29:55Speaker 5: Damn.
- 29:56Speaker 1: He was in Atlanta.
- 29:57Speaker 4: Dude.
- 29:57Speaker 1: I think he was like, is he a lawyer or
- 29:59Speaker 1: some shiit?
- 30:00Speaker 4: Yeah, feel like the government he works for the Parks department.
- 30:02Speaker 5: He is, Yeah, that's crazy.
- 30:05Speaker 4: And they asked her to come back.
- 30:06Speaker 3: Imagine having a You're like, you get like arrested and
- 30:08Speaker 3: they bring your lawyer in and it's a dude from
- 30:10Speaker 3: wild Enn Hour.
- 30:12Speaker 5: You're like, I'm going to fucking prison.
- 30:15Speaker 1: They need some white people. But I think he was
- 30:17Speaker 1: almost he was too white for them. He was just
- 30:19Speaker 1: so white that it was.
- 30:20Speaker 4: Almost they couldn't some of the stuff he was doing.
- 30:22Speaker 1: They couldn't get it, couldn't abide. But I worked, I
- 30:26Speaker 1: worked with him. He and I wrote for this battle
- 30:30Speaker 1: rap show.
- 30:31Speaker 4: Mike something dropped the mic.
- 30:32Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, a battle rap show where people, uh,
- 30:35Speaker 1: celebrities with battle rap against each other.
- 30:37Speaker 4: Horrible idea. Yeah yeah, celebrities can't even like do jokes.
- 30:42Speaker 4: We had like when you have them on a roast
- 30:44Speaker 4: or something, it's so hard to watch having them wrap
- 30:47Speaker 4: it and it was.
- 30:48Speaker 1: On a teleprompter and like, uh, some of them can't wrap,
- 30:52Speaker 1: but some of them can't even read. We had Rob
- 30:56Speaker 1: Goronkowski on and the words were just in front of
- 30:58Speaker 1: him and he was like squinting at it, like, which
- 31:02Speaker 1: that's because he actually couldn't read.
- 31:05Speaker 4: Well, he actually can't read, yeah.
- 31:07Speaker 1: Right, had he just has never had to learn how
- 31:11Speaker 1: to read. He was like programmed from a child to
- 31:13Speaker 1: be a football player, and he just he didn't have
- 31:15Speaker 1: to waste his time learning to read. What kind of
- 31:17Speaker 1: you said you wrote? You were in some writers rooms
- 31:19Speaker 1: with Francis before.
- 31:21Speaker 4: What kind of stuff hard pivot.
- 31:24Speaker 1: About the writing background?
- 31:25Speaker 4: Oh yeah, yeah, Francis and I wrote for some producers
- 31:28Speaker 4: who were doing like unscripted show pitches, and so the
- 31:31Speaker 4: producers would be like, we want a game show in
- 31:33Speaker 4: every continent, and Prances and I would be like, Okay,
- 31:36Speaker 4: I guess we'll start googling culture in Australia and we
- 31:38Speaker 4: would just sit in this room and then when the
- 31:41Speaker 4: guys left, we would just like shit talk everyone for
- 31:43Speaker 4: like three hours, and the guys would come back and
- 31:45Speaker 4: we would like come up with the list really quickly.
- 31:47Speaker 4: Francis is sneaky. I like him, What do you mean,
- 31:49Speaker 4: Like like like from the outside, you're like, Oh, he's
- 31:52Speaker 4: like this uptight, like hard working man, but then like
- 31:57Speaker 4: immediately when someone leaves there, he's like I fucking hate
- 32:00Speaker 4: that and he's like, Maddie, my plan us out of
- 32:04Speaker 4: here in ten minutes. I'm trying to leave, and I'm
- 32:07Speaker 4: like I really like him. Yeah, Like this this was
- 32:11Speaker 4: like pre pandemic, you know, Like Francis is the kind
- 32:14Speaker 4: of guy where you're like, I'm going to hate him,
- 32:16Speaker 4: and then within two minutes you're like, I'm gonna lick
- 32:18Speaker 4: your ass. I'm obsessed with him. I'm obsessed with Francis.
- 32:22Speaker 1: Elie livable asshole.
- 32:25Speaker 4: It's so likable shine. So he's just so swab, just clean.
- 32:32Speaker 4: I feel like he's a good he's a nice guy.
- 32:33Speaker 4: He's actually a good guy. Yeah he is that wrong?
- 32:36Speaker 4: No am, I am I being frances pilled.
- 32:39Speaker 5: No, I just uh. I just opened for him like
- 32:41Speaker 5: all weekend and it was awesome. It was awesome.
- 32:43Speaker 4: Yeah, he probably has amazing crowds.
- 32:45Speaker 5: Yeah, it was really fun.
- 32:46Speaker 4: How does that? How does he how does he formed?
- 32:48Speaker 5: You know, he worked at barstool?
- 32:50Speaker 4: Right, I know that's what are you talking about it.
- 32:52Speaker 1: I didn't know if he's.
- 32:53Speaker 5: Like new because he knows rown or whatever.
- 32:55Speaker 4: Yeah, oh yeah, yeah yeah I.
- 32:56Speaker 1: Think that early on in Barstool he got in trouble
- 32:58Speaker 1: for like being that Harvard and but like when you
- 33:01Speaker 1: get to a stage where people are so critical of you,
- 33:05Speaker 1: it like if you if you have like a decent
- 33:07Speaker 1: amount of intelligence, like you, you'll like just iron out
- 33:10Speaker 1: like the parts of your personality that like suck. Yeah,
- 33:13Speaker 1: Like I.
- 33:13Speaker 4: Really think it's really he's really smart.
- 33:15Speaker 1: Yeah, and I think that that that kind of comes
- 33:17Speaker 1: with it, and some people like get into like a
- 33:19Speaker 1: frustrating pattern where like people are critical of them, but
- 33:22Speaker 1: they like can't like get that part of their personality out. Yeah,
- 33:25Speaker 1: and like you don't necessarily have to change just because
- 33:27Speaker 1: people are critical of you. But I think that he
- 33:30Speaker 1: is like a pretty bright guy, and so it's like
- 33:32Speaker 1: any of that stuff he has a self awareness to
- 33:34Speaker 1: maybe to maybe get out or maybe he's just as
- 33:36Speaker 1: like uh American psycho and just like he's fooling us.
- 33:41Speaker 4: That'd be awesome. Yeah, I was alone with him in
- 33:44Speaker 4: his place once said, nothing happened. So he didn't kill you, No,
- 33:47Speaker 4: I believe it or not, he definitely didn't kill you.
- 33:49Speaker 1: I would not.
- 33:50Speaker 5: I wouldn't be that surprised.
- 33:51Speaker 3: Yeah, I wouldn't be that surprised if you, like one
- 33:53Speaker 3: day found out that he's just been chopping.
- 33:55Speaker 4: Would ass people. Yeah, the unfortunate thing I was. I
- 33:58Speaker 4: would still like him. I love I love a guy.
- 34:01Speaker 1: He's a winning personality. Yeah, it's like, yeah, those homeless
- 34:04Speaker 1: people had to come and that's why he gets strong
- 34:06Speaker 1: to strangle homeless people. I feel like there could.
- 34:08Speaker 4: Be something to that but yeah, I think so too.
- 34:11Speaker 1: You can't hate on him for it. You can't get
- 34:12Speaker 1: mad at him for it. Now, Yeah, what uh what
- 34:15Speaker 1: are you trying to? Uh like, what was your goal
- 34:18Speaker 1: getting into comedy and what is your goal now?
- 34:22Speaker 4: I don't know. That's such a good question. Thanks for asking. Yeah,
- 34:26Speaker 4: this is getting really deep.
- 34:28Speaker 5: Yeah, it's like shaking my bad.
- 34:30Speaker 1: Fuck dude, I didn't mean we're going to make.
- 34:32Speaker 5: We're going to try and make you cry.
- 34:34Speaker 1: Okay, cool, Well I asked questions that I don't have
- 34:36Speaker 1: the answer to myself about myself, you know what I mean?
- 34:38Speaker 4: I don't Okay, Socrates, My goal I think originally was
- 34:43Speaker 4: like I don't know, I started in twenty sixteen. Maybe
- 34:46Speaker 4: I think my goal was like Amy Schumer level blah
- 34:49Speaker 4: blah blah. Yeah, and now my goal is just kind
- 34:51Speaker 4: of actually, my goal is for a gradual rise so
- 34:55Speaker 4: I can continue to perform as good as I can.
- 35:00Speaker 4: I just think, like the scariest thing about like show
- 35:02Speaker 4: business is like people will pluck you up and then
- 35:04Speaker 4: you're famous, and then you run out of your ability
- 35:08Speaker 4: to like be talented because your world is so warped,
- 35:12Speaker 4: and then you just turn into a fucking reptile.
- 35:14Speaker 1: You just stop having trauma to like play from yecause
- 35:17Speaker 1: you're just staying at the four seasons every weekend.
- 35:19Speaker 4: Yeah, so that's why I keep dating men in this
- 35:23Speaker 4: house we hate, man, you got to keep the trauma coming.
- 35:28Speaker 4: Being a straight woman is so hard. But yeah, so
- 35:31Speaker 4: I think I just really you can like start to
- 35:33Speaker 4: see her like rise, you know what I mean, and
- 35:36Speaker 4: you just want to like keep it. I have to
- 35:38Speaker 4: like keep myself grounded and be like.
- 35:40Speaker 1: That's why I'm not getting famous.
- 35:42Speaker 4: I know, you just stay under ground. That's the only
- 35:44Speaker 4: way to stay good man.
- 35:45Speaker 1: They offer me to get hustling.
- 35:47Speaker 4: Yeah, was that stupid of me? Was that a stupid answer?
- 35:51Speaker 4: You can see your rise? I hate myself. I just
- 35:53Speaker 4: meant in terms of, like my guess, formerly my goal
- 35:56Speaker 4: would be Amy Schumer, But now I see like people
- 35:58Speaker 4: argue if Amy Schumer's hot or not, and I don't
- 36:00Speaker 4: want that to be that person. I guess my only
- 36:03Speaker 4: goal is to be a woman who's not hated.
- 36:05Speaker 1: And it's a level, a certain level, like people just
- 36:08Speaker 1: fucking people are going to be mean as fuck to you.
- 36:11Speaker 4: I know. It's really sad. People are mean to all
- 36:14Speaker 4: women unless you're literally Zenda or whatever people mean to her.
- 36:20Speaker 4: He opens YouTube.
- 36:24Speaker 1: What were you saying about her? What was that ship
- 36:26Speaker 1: you were talking on day? I don't remember, dude, I remember.
- 36:30Speaker 5: I don't. I don't think I actually do.
- 36:33Speaker 4: What do you guys think it takes to be a
- 36:35Speaker 4: woman who's not hated in in entertainment?
- 36:38Speaker 2: Dude?
- 36:39Speaker 1: I was avoiding the whole time trying to ask you, like,
- 36:41Speaker 1: what's it like being a woman in comedy?
- 36:43Speaker 4: But another thing you don't know about. I know, I
- 36:46Speaker 4: don't know the answer to.
- 36:47Speaker 1: I don't know shit about that, but uh, I think that.
- 36:51Speaker 4: It's actually kind of fun being a woman in comedy.
- 36:54Speaker 4: Why is it you get a lot of bookings?
- 36:56Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, because there's just so many.
- 37:00Speaker 4: There's literally, like in the New York scene, there's like
- 37:02Speaker 4: four of us who rotate through. Like if Jordan Jensen cancels,
- 37:06Speaker 4: I'm there. If I cancel, it's like someone else, And it's.
- 37:09Speaker 1: Just like we need what we need a woman.
- 37:11Speaker 4: We need a girl? Can you come through?
- 37:12Speaker 1: Do people feel like that? Do you feel like that
- 37:14Speaker 1: They're like, Oh, we need a like a diverse bill,
- 37:16Speaker 1: Like we need like this type of person, this type
- 37:18Speaker 1: of person.
- 37:19Speaker 4: It's so obvious like if someone's like messaged me and
- 37:21Speaker 4: they're like, we had to drop out. I go to
- 37:23Speaker 4: the show fire and I'm like, I know exactly who
- 37:25Speaker 4: it's gonna drop out. Who I'm going in to feel
- 37:27Speaker 4: for not saying that's the only reason I get booked.
- 37:29Speaker 4: But it is a huge advantage, and I also end
- 37:31Speaker 4: up doing well, so it's not bad. Yeah, it would
- 37:34Speaker 4: be one thing to be Yeah, I get that spot
- 37:36Speaker 4: and then bomb, but I also do well. It's an
- 37:39Speaker 4: incredible advantage to being a woman in comedy right now,
- 37:41Speaker 4: and that is that are so few of us. Are
- 37:44Speaker 4: There also disadvantages, which is being one and being surrounded
- 37:48Speaker 4: by men all the time, which is can be you know,
- 37:50Speaker 4: it's its own thing in itself. You have to like
- 37:52Speaker 4: pretend to be cool with a lot of stuff. I
- 37:54Speaker 4: don't pretend though I'm a guy's girl. You have to
- 37:59Speaker 4: pretend to be just like when you're surrounded by men,
- 38:01Speaker 4: you're like you're always just you know, like I tour
- 38:04Speaker 4: with Theovonne and I'm like on a tour bus with
- 38:06Speaker 4: like all these men, and there's stuff where you're just like, damn,
- 38:09Speaker 4: like this is a different environment. Yeah, it's you know,
- 38:12Speaker 4: it's not even bad, just like different. Yeah, it's just
- 38:15Speaker 4: like running.
- 38:16Speaker 1: Bits on.
- 38:19Speaker 5: Larting some locker room talk.
- 38:21Speaker 4: There's like also stuff where you're like I gotta put
- 38:23Speaker 4: theodoran on in front of dudes and like I gotta
- 38:25Speaker 4: find out we're like fucking clean my fucking pussy, you
- 38:27Speaker 4: know what I mean?
- 38:27Speaker 1: Like which is bullshit, which as I am, but it's
- 38:30Speaker 1: fucking bullshit. Should people shouldn't have to go through?
- 38:33Speaker 4: You know. The other thing is hard is like if
- 38:34Speaker 4: someone's like a big headliner, they'll always pick their boy
- 38:37Speaker 4: to open for them because they want their boy in
- 38:39Speaker 4: the car. So just because it's all men, there's a
- 38:41Speaker 4: lot of more natural literal boys, literal boy.
- 38:45Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like that they just need another.
- 38:46Speaker 4: Dude out of a boy dad. You know what I mean?
- 38:50Speaker 1: Five words and like three of them are masculine as.
- 38:54Speaker 4: Boy dad bron.
- 38:58Speaker 1: But have you been finding that there are more women
- 39:01Speaker 1: in comedy? Like are there are like is there more competition?
- 39:04Speaker 1: Is it like happening or are you.
- 39:06Speaker 4: Like I guess but I like the competition. It makes
- 39:08Speaker 4: you better. Yeah, I watch my girls and I'll say, oh,
- 39:11Speaker 4: they're joking about that. I have some jokes about that.
- 39:13Speaker 4: Let me go a little deeper. It propels you to
- 39:16Speaker 4: be like, now that there's more women, I don't have
- 39:18Speaker 4: to be slutty, or I don't have to be like
- 39:20Speaker 4: yeah haha, sex jokes. I can like start exploring other
- 39:23Speaker 4: avenues because you see what else is out there.
- 39:26Speaker 8: Golf season is in full swing, and getting out there
- 39:28Speaker 8: to work on your game is bound to make any
- 39:30Speaker 8: day even better. And if you're looking to improve your drive,
- 39:34Speaker 8: Chevy Equinox EV is the smartest choice you can make.
- 39:38Speaker 8: Bold athletic styling, a commanding presence, award winning tech, an
- 39:43Speaker 8: impressive range, all with an affordable MSRP. Chevy Equinox EV
- 39:47Speaker 8: will put a smile on your face no matter how
- 39:49Speaker 8: your scorecard shakes out.
- 39:51Speaker 4: Your podcast is funny as fuck too, though am I
- 39:53Speaker 4: talking too much? I found a podcast we literally had
- 39:56Speaker 4: you on to talk such a good point.
- 39:58Speaker 1: Yeah, we brought you here so you could talk a bunch.
- 40:00Speaker 4: So true.
- 40:01Speaker 1: But I was tired of talking to Harry.
- 40:02Speaker 4: He's so chatty. I'm like shut off food at moontower.
- 40:07Speaker 4: He was like blah blah. We exchanged nine words.
- 40:13Speaker 5: I had my face buried in my phone too.
- 40:15Speaker 4: I was checked out, dude. My manager was like after Moontower,
- 40:19Speaker 4: he was like, my only note about moon Tower consider
- 40:21Speaker 4: networking and watching more stand up. I was like, really,
- 40:24Speaker 4: I paid one.
- 40:25Speaker 5: Thousand dollars, I lost money.
- 40:27Speaker 4: I think I lost money. Wasn't that good? Okay? And
- 40:32Speaker 4: you know what barbecue makes me think? I hate myself.
- 40:34Speaker 4: I hate Austin.
- 40:35Speaker 1: Why we like it?
- 40:37Speaker 4: Oh? I liked it. I just like was cranky after
- 40:39Speaker 4: it because I was like, I did really well on
- 40:40Speaker 4: the shows. That's all you can ask for for me.
- 40:42Speaker 4: And I'm normal when I network anyway.
- 40:45Speaker 1: But you know, you did really well.
- 40:46Speaker 4: Yes, and the shows that were good, I mean like.
- 40:49Speaker 5: That the one that we did together was awesome.
- 40:51Speaker 4: Which one was at the Paris There was another one
- 40:55Speaker 4: I think, yeah that was that was a good venue.
- 40:57Speaker 4: But there was a velvet room or whatever that was
- 40:59Speaker 4: like a ship room.
- 41:00Speaker 5: Oh yeah, there's a couple of ship shows.
- 41:02Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 41:03Speaker 5: It felt like I was at an open mic, like yeah, Brooklyn, yeah, yeah.
- 41:05Speaker 4: I agree.
- 41:06Speaker 5: That was so bad.
- 41:07Speaker 4: But I thought the parish was good.
- 41:08Speaker 5: Yeah, the parish was sick.
- 41:10Speaker 4: We digress. No, that's fine. I completely forgot what we
- 41:12Speaker 4: were talking about.
- 41:12Speaker 1: But he said that when he went to Austin as well,
- 41:14Speaker 1: he didn't he had no good barbecue, and he didn't
- 41:17Speaker 1: watch any comedy either. Try.
- 41:18Speaker 4: I don't like watching I don't like watching shows after
- 41:21Speaker 4: I've gone up, Like I don't do that at all, respectful.
- 41:23Speaker 3: Also like for me, like I was like with a
- 41:27Speaker 3: lot of the same people, like I was seeing them
- 41:28Speaker 3: every single day and night, so I watched I don't
- 41:32Speaker 3: want to watch that. I don't need to watch their
- 41:33Speaker 3: set five times.
- 41:35Speaker 4: I don't need to watch it. I know. That's the
- 41:36Speaker 4: other thing that they're all just.
- 41:37Speaker 5: Doing our same jokes.
- 41:38Speaker 4: Yeah, especially for seven minute sets and it's jfl just
- 41:41Speaker 4: for last like we're not fucking around, Yeah, we're doing Yeah.
- 41:44Speaker 1: It was these it was quick sets.
- 41:46Speaker 5: And it was the exact same set and came time.
- 41:49Speaker 4: If they had like one show that gave me a
- 41:51Speaker 4: fifteen minute set, I'm just like that would have been awesome. Yeah,
- 41:54Speaker 4: But the fact that it was seven seven seven seven,
- 41:56Speaker 4: it's like six, like what are we doing here?
- 42:00Speaker 5: Yeah, it's because the lineups were so big, damn and
- 42:03Speaker 5: it's like turn like.
- 42:04Speaker 4: Showcasey more than I don't know, So you would have
- 42:07Speaker 4: both preferred to go fifteen full one just.
- 42:10Speaker 3: To be I was fine doing seven, Yeah, I had
- 42:14Speaker 3: to go. I was I was joining to go seven.
- 42:16Speaker 1: Yeah, well you you've been doing stand up since twenty sixteen.
- 42:18Speaker 1: YEA interesting And uh, how how how long did it
- 42:22Speaker 1: take you to like or like, how what's the longest
- 42:25Speaker 1: you've you've gone? Like, what's the longest like set that
- 42:27Speaker 1: you've you've had.
- 42:29Speaker 4: I think there was one time I only started headlining
- 42:32Speaker 4: like this year because of the pandemic, and then you know,
- 42:35Speaker 4: I got a following, and then so now I headline.
- 42:37Speaker 4: So I headline Zani's in Nashville, and so I'm on
- 42:41Speaker 4: stage im like an hour and then I get a
- 42:43Speaker 4: note that's like Dion Cole is here and he wants
- 42:47Speaker 4: to go up after you, but stretch for five minutes,
- 42:51Speaker 4: and then I think I ended up doing like an
- 42:52Speaker 4: hour twenty.
- 42:54Speaker 5: That was like that was a lot of fucking you
- 42:56Speaker 5: did an hour twenty?
- 42:57Speaker 4: Yeah, but fucking but I stretched. I did like all
- 43:00Speaker 4: the rest of it. I know, it's no I know.
- 43:04Speaker 4: After that, I was like it was all good, though,
- 43:07Speaker 4: but I was at my hour and then like I stretched,
- 43:09Speaker 4: like I pulled more stuff out, and then at an
- 43:12Speaker 4: hour ten, I was like, I don't know if he's here,
- 43:14Speaker 4: So I pulled out my phone and like did like
- 43:17Speaker 4: last minute thing, and then I think I did like it.
- 43:19Speaker 4: I did pick them. I did in the classroom, and
- 43:21Speaker 4: then I think I had them ask me questions. So
- 43:23Speaker 4: that was like the longest I've been on stage. Yeah,
- 43:25Speaker 4: I think all of my material is like seventy five
- 43:27Speaker 4: minutes right now. And then Dean Cole went after.
- 43:30Speaker 1: So was there a point in your career when you
- 43:32Speaker 1: were like, you would prefer to do like seven minutes,
- 43:34Speaker 1: like he was saying, We're like it would have given
- 43:36Speaker 1: you anxiety to try and like stretch into fifteen minutes
- 43:39Speaker 1: or stretch to twenty minutes or something like that.
- 43:40Speaker 4: Yeah, definitely.
- 43:41Speaker 1: So what helped you get or is it just like
- 43:43Speaker 1: doing a ton of shit and writing a.
- 43:44Speaker 4: Ton of a ton of shit? Yeah, headlining once you
- 43:47Speaker 4: do like over forty five, like twenty becomes really easily
- 43:49Speaker 4: and thirty becomes super easy. Yeah.
- 43:52Speaker 1: How do you write jokes? What do you like? Are
- 43:55Speaker 1: you just like bullshitting with your friends or is it like, uh,
- 43:58Speaker 1: usually really intentional about it.
- 44:00Speaker 4: I don't know, probably not intentional. I'm trying to be intentional,
- 44:03Speaker 4: but it's I'm not Seinfeld. So Seinfeld's like if you're
- 44:07Speaker 4: not writing three hours a day, Yeah, why are you
- 44:09Speaker 4: doing this?
- 44:10Speaker 1: Like, how does he even write three hours a day?
- 44:12Speaker 1: Is he's just like sitting over a typewriter.
- 44:14Speaker 5: Like you writing one line type? I know, yeah too,
- 44:17Speaker 5: which is different.
- 44:19Speaker 4: I don't know he doesn't. He also doesn't, isn't in
- 44:22Speaker 4: the age of social media, like you'll go on the
- 44:25Speaker 4: road with like an older comic, they're like, I just
- 44:27Speaker 4: don't understand why you're all on social media, and you're like,
- 44:29Speaker 4: how the fuck else am I supposed to get booked?
- 44:31Speaker 1: Yeah, it's so important. I know you're like instagram like
- 44:34Speaker 1: shows like everything that you.
- 44:36Speaker 4: Do, Yeah, how else are you gonna sell to?
- 44:37Speaker 3: I can't imagine doing stand up without being on social
- 44:40Speaker 3: Like I would not.
- 44:41Speaker 1: I would never have tried.
- 44:42Speaker 3: It if it was like I had to do open
- 44:44Speaker 3: like hopefully like one day would just get discovered at
- 44:46Speaker 3: an open mic.
- 44:47Speaker 4: But back then people blindly just went to shows, like
- 44:49Speaker 4: you could go to a comedy club in Minnesota and
- 44:52Speaker 4: people just blindly go ye without And now it's like
- 44:55Speaker 4: everything is directed by social media. Yeah, girls got to
- 44:58Speaker 4: eat go on the road, and that's who goes to
- 44:59Speaker 4: the sh Yeah, it's so crazy. I guess it's not, though,
- 45:03Speaker 4: although I think the one crazy thing is now everyone's
- 45:05Speaker 4: audiences are so specific that used to just be like, well,
- 45:08Speaker 4: going to a comedy show, and now fandom is so
- 45:11Speaker 4: strong that it's like, I don't know anyone can be
- 45:15Speaker 4: funny if you have an audience, which.
- 45:18Speaker 1: Is bullshit, dude, everyone shouldn't be able to be funny.
- 45:22Speaker 1: That's some fucking But there's way different styles of comedy.
- 45:25Speaker 1: Do you guys find that there's like comedians that you
- 45:27Speaker 1: meet that are like way funnier on stage or like
- 45:31Speaker 1: way funnier off stage, or is it usually pretty like
- 45:35Speaker 1: you're either funny on stage, funny off stage, or.
- 45:37Speaker 4: Like I don't like your comedy and I don't think
- 45:38Speaker 4: you're funny. I don't know.
- 45:40Speaker 3: I don't talk to people when I'm not on stage,
- 45:43Speaker 3: so I think for me, I'm like I'll sit there
- 45:45Speaker 3: by myself, just like doing nothing, and then I'll go
- 45:48Speaker 3: up and I'll do my set, yeah, and then I'll
- 45:50Speaker 3: get off. But then there's some people who I feel
- 45:52Speaker 3: like are like, like I noticed this at Moontie. There's
- 45:54Speaker 3: at people who are just always on, like they're always
- 45:57Speaker 3: making jokes. It sounds like they're trying out material, like,
- 46:00Speaker 3: while we're talking to you, is.
- 46:02Speaker 4: There anything worse than someone telling you something? And then
- 46:04Speaker 4: they go on stage and it's.
- 46:07Speaker 1: It's like, are you using me?
- 46:08Speaker 4: Was I a warm up?
- 46:09Speaker 1: Am I a commodity to you?
- 46:10Speaker 4: How fucking dare you not having a juich?
- 46:13Speaker 2: I don't mind.
- 46:14Speaker 5: I don't mind it, but I just don't have the
- 46:15Speaker 5: energy to like.
- 46:16Speaker 4: Be like, yeah, it depends on the show for me.
- 46:18Speaker 4: I really, I genuinely think people think that I'm bipolar,
- 46:21Speaker 4: because every single show I'm a different mood. Like sometimes
- 46:24Speaker 4: I'm chet chat chet cha chat, and other times it's like,
- 46:26Speaker 4: don't fucking look at me. Yeah, and now people people
- 46:29Speaker 4: don't know what to think. But I gotta keep them
- 46:31Speaker 4: on their toes, you know what I mean. Sometimes you're
- 46:33Speaker 4: just gassed and you're like I can't speak to a
- 46:35Speaker 4: single individual. Yeah, I'm here to go up and leave.
- 46:38Speaker 1: I feel that, and I feel it's it's tough probably
- 46:40Speaker 1: sometimes being like I gotta tell some fucking jokes right now,
- 46:43Speaker 1: Like I feel like, shit.
- 46:44Speaker 4: Yeah, I guess you got to fight through it, dude.
- 46:47Speaker 1: I feel like that's how you live.
- 46:48Speaker 3: That's why I like the seven minutes because I was like,
- 46:50Speaker 3: I was super tired, but I was like, I can,
- 46:52Speaker 3: I can just power through this.
- 46:53Speaker 4: Seven is pretty quick. It's very short.
- 46:56Speaker 1: Yeah, how many times do seven go into one hundred
- 46:59Speaker 1: and twenty? You get a lot of seven minutes?
- 47:01Speaker 4: That was yes, under thirty or thirty?
- 47:05Speaker 1: Is that it?
- 47:06Speaker 4: Are you good at math? I'm not good at math. No,
- 47:09Speaker 4: that's totally wrong. Don't look at me.
- 47:13Speaker 1: He knows the tyler.
- 47:15Speaker 4: No. Oh, I was saying two ten.
- 47:21Speaker 1: Who needs fucking math anymore?
- 47:22Speaker 4: Twenty one?
- 47:24Speaker 3: Right?
- 47:25Speaker 4: Exactly? Who needs math? Is the thing when you have Instagram.
- 47:29Speaker 1: It's a fact we have Instagram.
- 47:30Speaker 3: Not even social media changed math completely, absolutely a completely
- 47:33Speaker 3: different world.
- 47:34Speaker 1: Now people will just like post like a math problem
- 47:37Speaker 1: on Twitter and it'll go viral because people are arguing,
- 47:40Speaker 1: I can get it right. You just don't know.
- 47:42Speaker 3: It's like basic pem daz and people are like no, no,
- 47:45Speaker 3: that like everyone has different answers.
- 47:47Speaker 5: It's like, you know you can just like there is
- 47:49Speaker 5: only one answer.
- 47:49Speaker 4: Can I say something?
- 47:51Speaker 1: Get it off your chest?
- 47:52Speaker 4: Clear? Is a mess? Right now?
- 47:53Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 47:54Speaker 5: You think yeah, it's just like a.
- 47:55Speaker 4: Lot the info. It's getting to be a lie.
- 47:59Speaker 1: What kind of stuff is the outgo?
- 48:00Speaker 4: Like a girl who ships on a man and gets
- 48:02Speaker 4: two hundred thousand lives and she has big titties. And
- 48:04Speaker 4: then it's like a guy who's like, my son died
- 48:06Speaker 4: of COVID, please wear a mask. And then it's like
- 48:10Speaker 4: someone shitting on Marjorie Taylor Green. And then it's like
- 48:14Speaker 4: a stand up comedian with like no followers who has
- 48:18Speaker 4: then it's four likes. It's so like a lot following.
- 48:22Speaker 4: I gotta switch it up. I'm trying to get more
- 48:24Speaker 4: into dog pictures and I got like blue check.
- 48:26Speaker 5: Marks, like follow like a thousand dogs on Instagram.
- 48:29Speaker 4: Tho on Instagram. Yeah, I just feel like Twitter is
- 48:32Speaker 4: getting too snarky for me. Yeah.
- 48:34Speaker 1: Oh, the snark is unbelievable. The people just play into
- 48:37Speaker 1: their own snark and they fucking love. It's like a language.
- 48:40Speaker 1: It's like sarcasm, like three point zero. People are just
- 48:43Speaker 1: snarking the ship out of each other.
- 48:45Speaker 3: You know what's like the best social media is just
- 48:47Speaker 3: going to Reddit and going to the popular page.
- 48:49Speaker 4: Yeah it is. It feels really good.
- 48:51Speaker 3: So good, it's just so much to it. Just wholesome, yeah,
- 48:54Speaker 3: or just like actually interesting stories.
- 48:55Speaker 1: You can just seek out good like positivity or like
- 48:58Speaker 1: futuristic shit.
- 48:59Speaker 4: They have good science news and stuff.
- 49:00Speaker 1: Yeah, yesterday my Twitter was giving me a ton, like
- 49:03Speaker 1: fifteen videos of like goats jumping on people's backs. I
- 49:06Speaker 1: was like, I don't know how I got on goat talk.
- 49:10Speaker 1: But also every morning, the algorithm thinks that I want
- 49:14Speaker 1: to see like a high school fight, and it's the
- 49:17Speaker 1: first thing that comes up every day. It's like a
- 49:19Speaker 1: promoted tweet of just like high school where you definitely
- 49:21Speaker 1: that I don't even follow you. Yeah, I watched them
- 49:27Speaker 1: the entire way, and so it's like, oh, you watch
- 49:29Speaker 1: the entire video, I'll be sure to give you another
- 49:31Speaker 1: one to more.
- 49:31Speaker 5: That's not surprising at all.
- 49:32Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, I don't know why it's come back
- 49:35Speaker 1: into my life, but it's it's there every single day.
- 49:39Speaker 5: They never watched that ship.
- 49:40Speaker 1: I mean, either it makes you feel terrible.
- 49:42Speaker 4: No, it stresses me out. I don't like tension. I
- 49:44Speaker 4: don't like when I don't like, you know, like on TikTok.
- 49:46Speaker 4: For a while, I was on a weird dating side
- 49:48Speaker 4: of TikTok and then like stuff about abusive relationships is terrible. Yeah, yeah,
- 49:53Speaker 4: you get onto one side of TikTok. You gotta I
- 49:55Speaker 4: don't know.
- 49:55Speaker 5: I'm not on TikTok anymore. I deleted it.
- 49:57Speaker 4: Really, I think I should delete it. I think it's
- 49:58Speaker 4: hurting my brain.
- 49:59Speaker 1: Have you Uh, you just get sucked into it and
- 50:01Speaker 1: spend a ton of time on there.
- 50:04Speaker 4: Yeah, and then there's these videos that's just like tilted
- 50:07Speaker 4: towards you. You have all these videos that make you
- 50:09Speaker 4: feel good because the algorithm knows what you want.
- 50:12Speaker 1: Yeah, it's so easy, so easy, just whip through it,
- 50:16Speaker 1: I know. But it's also, like you said about social media,
- 50:18Speaker 1: you probably feel the pressure, like I got to put
- 50:20Speaker 1: it up on here, like that's how I'm I'm going
- 50:21Speaker 1: to grow this account. I'm going to have people see
- 50:24Speaker 1: like the numbers. I'm gonna have like try and like
- 50:26Speaker 1: get more people to be fans of me. I feel
- 50:28Speaker 1: like it's like you want to disconnect from it, but
- 50:30Speaker 1: it's also like you need the ship. Yeah.
- 50:33Speaker 4: I feel like during the pandemic, I was trying to
- 50:35Speaker 4: become like front facing TikTok famous, and then one stand
- 50:38Speaker 4: up reopened, I like dropped it all. Never mind. I
- 50:41Speaker 4: was trying to be like, I don't know who are
- 50:45Speaker 4: some of those Uh no, oh my god. Hilarious though,
- 50:50Speaker 4: obsessed with them documentary, No should I though maybe I'll
- 50:54Speaker 4: do that today to watch.
- 50:56Speaker 3: Got to watch the first two episodes, okay, and because
- 50:58Speaker 3: after that it gets super repetitive wild.
- 51:01Speaker 4: They are fascinating, I mean interesting.
- 51:04Speaker 5: It's not interesting.
- 51:04Speaker 3: It's them like scream crying about comments, but it's like
- 51:08Speaker 3: so entertaining. That is interesting though it's not mean, it's
- 51:10Speaker 3: not it's they're like, it's exactly what you would expect.
- 51:12Speaker 5: It to be.
- 51:13Speaker 4: Their life is so weird, so is Addison Raise. All
- 51:16Speaker 4: those people.
- 51:17Speaker 5: They're not real humans.
- 51:17Speaker 1: They're interesting, but not like nuanced. They're not like nuanced
- 51:20Speaker 1: human beings. They're like pretty one note. But it's like,
- 51:23Speaker 1: it is interesting that they've ascended to such a level
- 51:26Speaker 1: of fame, I know, and like, what's going to happen.
- 51:28Speaker 4: To the horrifying? Well, I think they need to start
- 51:30Speaker 4: saving their money because I don't really.
- 51:31Speaker 5: They're on the dcline. Yeah, hard hardcore.
- 51:34Speaker 3: I think Addison Ray is like now like the most
- 51:36Speaker 3: famous one, but.
- 51:38Speaker 4: Yes, they fell off like there. If they post all
- 51:41Speaker 4: their comments are like like this if you had to
- 51:45Speaker 4: search Charlie to find.
- 51:46Speaker 3: This, Yeah, yeah, yeah, this is this is why I
- 51:49Speaker 3: deleted TikTok because I would get so invested, yeah sh
- 51:53Speaker 3: I know, and like, oh my god, Like I remember.
- 51:55Speaker 1: The one of the things that really, for some reason
- 51:57Speaker 1: this like pissed me off so much.
- 51:59Speaker 3: It was when they would be like, why are they
- 52:02Speaker 3: like going to this, Like they're not celebrities, and then
- 52:04Speaker 3: someone will be like, well, they are celebrities, and then
- 52:06Speaker 3: they would just be like a constant back and forth
- 52:08Speaker 3: about like these dumb little words and like what they mean.
- 52:11Speaker 5: I know, Charlie Demilio.
- 52:12Speaker 4: It's so the comments section more so than anything on TikTok,
- 52:15Speaker 4: where I'm like, stop fucking doing this. Yeah, it's insane.
- 52:20Speaker 1: It has to be doing crazy things to those people's
- 52:23Speaker 1: brains that are like coming out of nowhere, like probably
- 52:25Speaker 1: like literal poverty, and they'll just like sing something beautiful
- 52:29Speaker 1: and they'll have like nine hundred thousand followers the next day, and.
- 52:32Speaker 5: I mean it happens, just so many it happened.
- 52:35Speaker 3: What about the dude that, uh did the little skateboarding video, Yeah,
- 52:37Speaker 3: the Cranberry Cranberry guy, Yeah with the Fleetwood map. Yeah,
- 52:40Speaker 3: and he got like many people were like buying him trucks.
- 52:45Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 52:46Speaker 3: I think he's got Ocean Spray call, yeah.
- 52:49Speaker 1: Or like the Sea Shanty dudes. People were just singing
- 52:52Speaker 1: Sea Shanty like crazy, and then they would go on
- 52:55Speaker 1: like tour or something like that, and now they're getting
- 52:57Speaker 1: like two thousand views video. Yeah, it's really fast.
- 53:00Speaker 3: That's why I stopped using it because this is like, yeah,
- 53:03Speaker 3: it's such like an unrealistic like that you get it fleeps.
- 53:07Speaker 1: So quickly too, Like if you're not like if you
- 53:10Speaker 1: have like a Flavor of the Week style video or
- 53:12Speaker 1: something that it'll just like drive you crazy because like
- 53:15Speaker 1: people like you for this thing. But I guess it's
- 53:17Speaker 1: like being a one hit wonder in some ways.
- 53:19Speaker 3: But it's like exactly like that, and then they only
- 53:21Speaker 3: want to see you do one thing. But it's like
- 53:23Speaker 3: then once they don't do that anymore, they're just like
- 53:25Speaker 3: fuck because people kids are like dropping out of school
- 53:28Speaker 3: and like like high school, so like move, Like Charlie
- 53:31Speaker 3: left high school to go to.
- 53:32Speaker 4: La to La. We bought her a house in La
- 53:35Speaker 4: with our views. They used to live in Connecticut.
- 53:37Speaker 3: Yeah, and now and now she's like sixteen years old.
- 53:41Speaker 5: It's like, what do you got planned for the next.
- 53:42Speaker 4: Eight Yeah, what's the next step? I got it, Yeah,
- 53:45Speaker 4: because you can't read, just like it.
- 53:49Speaker 1: Has no idea. She can't. She's like, tell me what
- 53:51Speaker 1: the comments say and just cries about it.
- 53:54Speaker 3: Dude, it's fucked. It's such like a Catt'll probably be like,
- 53:57Speaker 3: fucking dance. Yeah, we eat houses too, market Emilia.
- 54:01Speaker 4: It's insane. Man.
- 54:02Speaker 5: I'll tell you what.
- 54:03Speaker 6: When you're hungry out there, you start acting like a
- 54:05Speaker 6: rookie quarterback in his first game, making bad decisions, messing
- 54:08Speaker 6: up the basics, being all out of sorts. That's where
- 54:11Speaker 6: Snickers comes in.
- 54:13Speaker 2: Man.
- 54:14Speaker 6: That thing is packed roasted peanuts, nugget, caramel, milk, chocolate.
- 54:18Speaker 6: It's like the MVP of candy bars, and when you
- 54:21Speaker 6: bite into it, boom, it sorts you out. Get your
- 54:24Speaker 6: head back in the game of life. Satisfying your hunger,
- 54:27Speaker 6: remember this, Snickers handles your hunger so you can handle
- 54:30Speaker 6: everything else. Snicker satisfies man, that's a winning play.
- 54:36Speaker 4: That's why I like like stand ups, you know, like
- 54:39Speaker 4: we all get in our head about like, oh my god,
- 54:40Speaker 4: they're getting such a huge following. Yeah, it's like, would
- 54:43Speaker 4: you want to be known for that? Because of fu? Yeah?
- 54:46Speaker 5: Fuck fucked?
- 54:47Speaker 3: I Yeah, Oh I could talk about this for like
- 54:49Speaker 3: seven years. Yeah, I won't get into it.
- 54:51Speaker 4: It's so comforting though, once you start to tell yourself that,
- 54:54Speaker 4: oh I don't compare myself to others anymore.
- 54:56Speaker 5: Yeah. I knew it was gonna happen. I wrote like
- 54:58Speaker 5: this whole blog about it where I talked about how
- 55:00Speaker 5: you know.
- 55:00Speaker 3: Mad con a vine like nationally No, never mind, scratch it.
- 55:09Speaker 3: They basically did the exact same thing as all those kids,
- 55:11Speaker 3: and they were like they all had like one hundred
- 55:13Speaker 3: million followers and now they get like ten views on
- 55:16Speaker 3: like their YouTube videos, like have to live in like
- 55:18Speaker 3: small houses in the middle of the woods, building bombs.
- 55:23Speaker 1: They're just broken, angry. Yeah, that's a good thing about
- 55:27Speaker 1: Standard though. It's like I feel like it's like a
- 55:29Speaker 1: pretty true meritocracy.
- 55:31Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 55:31Speaker 1: If you can make someone laugh, yeah the room, Yeah,
- 55:34Speaker 1: that's like you you are funny.
- 55:36Speaker 4: I agree.
- 55:36Speaker 5: It feels like sustainable.
- 55:38Speaker 4: It feels more like less flavor of the week. Yeah,
- 55:42Speaker 4: like there's always going to be live performance. I think
- 55:45Speaker 4: people would always come out, at least in our lifetime.
- 55:47Speaker 4: I don't know what the fuck's happening after I die.
- 55:49Speaker 4: I don't give a fuck.
- 55:51Speaker 1: Bomb hits on that under hits.
- 55:53Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 55:54Speaker 4: I do actually think like people are kind of like
- 55:56Speaker 4: spacing themselves from the internet. In the Internet and you
- 56:00Speaker 4: just wi it yo period And that's not what a
- 56:08Speaker 4: But I think people are like valuing live stuff more so,
- 56:11Speaker 4: I hope I don't know, That's what I'm telling Yeah,
- 56:14Speaker 4: you can't like watching a stand up special versus going
- 56:17Speaker 4: in person or like even TikTok versus in person. It's
- 56:19Speaker 4: so fun to go out, That's what I'm telling myself.
- 56:22Speaker 5: I like going I think going to comedy club is
- 56:24Speaker 5: like one of the most fun things.
- 56:25Speaker 4: So fun.
- 56:25Speaker 3: I like, I would rather see like a local show
- 56:29Speaker 3: in New York than go to like a show like
- 56:31Speaker 3: MSG or something like that.
- 56:32Speaker 5: I agree, it's so much.
- 56:33Speaker 4: It's so fun.
- 56:34Speaker 1: Like a concert you mean no, I like a big
- 56:36Speaker 1: ass Yeah, like a big you want something more?
- 56:38Speaker 3: Yeah, the more the small shows is fun. They're really
- 56:40Speaker 3: three hundred people, seventy five people? Yeah, what what size anything?
- 56:46Speaker 3: Although we went to the we went to that like
- 56:49Speaker 3: Pete Davidson like nine to eleven.
- 56:51Speaker 5: Oh yeah yeah, and it like wasn't that great?
- 56:53Speaker 4: Yeah, it sucks. Comedy in that form is just terrible, horrifying.
- 56:57Speaker 4: It shouldn't happens not even theaters are not as a theater.
- 57:01Speaker 5: Is better, but like an arena is brutal brude o.
- 57:04Speaker 4: Yeah, to me that sounds humiliating being up there and
- 57:07Speaker 4: being like I'm single, I.
- 57:09Speaker 1: Know, and they had to do better.
- 57:11Speaker 4: Yeah, like I do know. My comedy does not need
- 57:15Speaker 4: to be heard by twenty thousand people.
- 57:17Speaker 3: I want they had, like they had like local openers.
- 57:21Speaker 3: That going up in Madison Square Garden sounds he wasn't
- 57:26Speaker 3: no sci fi, didn't go up, but he DJed the.
- 57:27Speaker 4: Entire thing he did hilarious.
- 57:29Speaker 3: And that was when that was when I like first
- 57:32Speaker 3: like found out about him because he kept on doing
- 57:35Speaker 3: his I'm very famous.
- 57:36Speaker 1: In New York.
- 57:36Speaker 4: He's so fat.
- 57:37Speaker 3: Yeah, Madison Square Garden during like the nine to eleven tribute,
- 57:40Speaker 3: it was so funny.
- 57:42Speaker 4: You and nine to eleven are very famous in New York.
- 57:45Speaker 4: It was so funny. I threw up on his arm
- 57:48Speaker 4: in Austin.
- 57:49Speaker 5: Really yeah, damn.
- 57:50Speaker 4: You want to hear what happened in Austin. Yeah, it
- 57:53Speaker 4: ends with that. Okay, So we're at Moontower. This is
- 57:58Speaker 4: a situation at Moontower. We got two drink tickets a
- 58:00Speaker 4: night for a drink show and also at the Antones
- 58:04Speaker 4: or whatever. Yeah, yeah, us both of them because you
- 58:10Speaker 4: can stack them up at the end of the night
- 58:11Speaker 4: at Anton's or whatever.
- 58:12Speaker 1: Right. Oh, you were going around to multiple places and
- 58:16Speaker 1: at the end of.
- 58:16Speaker 4: The night they had an after party and after party
- 58:21Speaker 4: at Anton's where you but the bartender was slow. There's
- 58:24Speaker 4: one bartender. The drinks are watered down. Okay, so they.
- 58:27Speaker 3: Also all the the only food they had was like
- 58:29Speaker 3: raw like salmon or some ship it was. I was
- 58:32Speaker 3: hoping they were gonna have like some burgers, like locks.
- 58:35Speaker 5: It was just like grapes.
- 58:36Speaker 1: It was.
- 58:38Speaker 4: It was like Wegman's catering of like a little little
- 58:42Speaker 4: tiny like cut like subs cut up into this big cheese. Yeah,
- 58:47Speaker 4: I'm like cutting cheese. Well like Maria Bamford's like, I'm like,
- 58:52Speaker 4: what is going on here? I don't know. I was like,
- 58:54Speaker 4: this is giving I felt like we're at like a
- 58:57Speaker 4: work conference. Yeah, thought there was gonna be burgers.
- 59:00Speaker 5: There were burgers the last night, but they were so
- 59:02Speaker 5: let me.
- 59:02Speaker 4: Tell you about the last night. Let me tell you
- 59:04Speaker 4: about the last night. That is why I didn't know
- 59:05Speaker 4: there were burgers, because I was so annoyed of the
- 59:07Speaker 4: antone situation, and I'm so stressed from the festival that
- 59:10Speaker 4: the minute my last show ended at the Creek, I
- 59:13Speaker 4: So I was at the Creak in the cave. I
- 59:15Speaker 4: know everyone who works there, and I had sex with
- 59:17Speaker 4: one of the bartenders last time I was there, so
- 59:19Speaker 4: I started or so. But now he has a girlfriend.
- 59:25Speaker 4: So because of that, I was like, Oh, he's gonna
- 59:28Speaker 4: give me free drinks because like we have a little
- 59:29Speaker 4: bit of a past.
- 59:30Speaker 1: Dude shout their names out.
- 59:38Speaker 4: And so I'm like, I'm gonna pummel drinks because when
- 59:41Speaker 4: I get to Anton's, I don't want to be annoying.
- 59:42Speaker 4: It's like when in college you pregame. I start pregained blacked.
- 59:48Speaker 5: I was blocked out the entire time I was.
- 59:49Speaker 4: At Okay, So I blacked out. And when I block out,
- 59:52Speaker 4: I'm going to be gone for twelve hours.
- 59:54Speaker 5: Yeah, like you won't.
- 59:55Speaker 4: I won't remember a thing, but I'm still there. I'm
- 59:57Speaker 4: still there. And so I get to anton Owns blackout.
- 1:00:00Speaker 4: I walked there with Jackie Fabulous and her some manager
- 1:00:03Speaker 4: guy who I don't know, some some guys, some agent
- 1:00:07Speaker 4: or whatever. I don't know. These guys are fucking freaks.
- 1:00:10Speaker 4: Another white dude who's just.
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: Like, what kind what do you mean? Freaks?
- 1:00:13Speaker 4: Like, you know, they're an industry if they call you
- 1:00:15Speaker 4: by your first and last name every time they see you,
- 1:00:18Speaker 4: you know.
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: Like Also, that was so weird.
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: I hated how they all passes and they were like
- 1:00:24Speaker 3: it was like industry.
- 1:00:25Speaker 4: The lanyards, Yeah, I hate that. And then lanyards were
- 1:00:27Speaker 4: you know how lanyards are supposed to be like this big.
- 1:00:29Speaker 4: They were massive, like a tablet, like a walking through
- 1:00:35Speaker 4: Austin down six.
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: Street industry you know who I am tries to pull
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: you over.
- 1:00:43Speaker 4: Yeah, it's like a PBR card, one of those called
- 1:00:47Speaker 4: what are they? Yeah, okay, you got those comings still
- 1:00:51Speaker 4: PBC or something Police Benefits card friend flash one one
- 1:00:55Speaker 4: time when I was in a.
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: Work it works, it works on your way sooner.
- 1:01:00Speaker 4: You're literally blackout and they're like my apologies.
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: Yeah, A wielding person in like Times Square like, oh
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: get out of here, kid, right, all right, move alone?
- 1:01:08Speaker 4: Okay, So this is what happened. I feel like I'm
- 1:01:10Speaker 4: more invested in the story than you are, So I apologize, no,
- 1:01:13Speaker 4: not at all, Okay. Stories, So, and I feel like
- 1:01:15Speaker 4: we have a lot of listeners and we we have
- 1:01:17Speaker 4: a lot of listeners in Austin, so of course do
- 1:01:19Speaker 4: we know the numbers on Austin?
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: Okay, huge, it's six figures.
- 1:01:23Speaker 3: Mid sixes of mid six Okay, this podcast gets like
- 1:01:26Speaker 3: ten million listens an episode in Austin alone.
- 1:01:30Speaker 4: I don't know. I was on Joe Rogan.
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: That's why we're big in Austin.
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: Big.
- 1:01:35Speaker 4: Yes, ship it all comes, it's all coming back. I'm
- 1:01:40Speaker 4: pretty high. I apologize. Yeah, I probably should have told
- 1:01:43Speaker 4: you guys know it's okay, okay hostage, Yeah, you're talking yourself.
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: It's because you're high. At first, when you're like, am
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: I talking too much? I was like, oh she might
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: be high. That is the highest king keep telling us.
- 1:02:00Speaker 4: Okay, So this is what happened. I'm walking over. All
- 1:02:03Speaker 4: I remember is me and Jackie fabulous, are like the
- 1:02:05Speaker 4: guys in Austin are fucking hot. And then I don't
- 1:02:07Speaker 4: remember a thing. So then I end up going on
- 1:02:11Speaker 4: stage for the encore of Comedy Jam, Goddamn Comedy Jam,
- 1:02:14Speaker 4: which I sang at on Thursday, but on Saturday night
- 1:02:17Speaker 4: they had everyone come.
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: Up, are you saying me?
- 1:02:20Speaker 4: Yeah? Thanks that for Harry. I'm sang Ironic by a moriscent.
- 1:02:24Speaker 5: I was trying to go up so bad? Why didn't
- 1:02:26Speaker 5: He was looking at the screens they were like projecting
- 1:02:28Speaker 5: it up, sir, and I was just looking at It's like, damn,
- 1:02:30Speaker 5: I want to go up.
- 1:02:31Speaker 4: Why didn't you go up? Because okay, next time we've
- 1:02:35Speaker 4: seen him ship face singing carryo.
- 1:02:38Speaker 5: But it's not karaoke. It's like it's like a thing.
- 1:02:41Speaker 4: You got to like talk to Josh Josh Adam Myers like, yeah.
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: You can't like funk up. You like have to kind
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: of like hit the pitch a little bit.
- 1:02:48Speaker 4: It's like a thing.
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:02:49Speaker 5: So anyways, hilarious.
- 1:02:51Speaker 4: Yeah, he's a guy. He's a guy in Half My
- 1:02:54Speaker 4: Full guy.
- 1:02:55Speaker 5: He just sings.
- 1:02:57Speaker 4: So there's a show called Goddamn Comedy Jam where there's
- 1:03:00Speaker 4: like a band and Josh Adam Myers is like the
- 1:03:02Speaker 4: ringleader and you go up and you sing a song
- 1:03:04Speaker 4: with the band, but you have to like preface it
- 1:03:06Speaker 4: with words and be funny and blah blah blah, and
- 1:03:08Speaker 4: you have to pick a song that's going to get
- 1:03:09Speaker 4: the audience going. Okay. Anyway, so on the last night
- 1:03:11Speaker 4: they had everyone come up and sing, and beforehand, I
- 1:03:14Speaker 4: was like talking to Big j oh Gerson for those
- 1:03:17Speaker 4: who are not sure, of course, yeah, cultured with the
- 1:03:20Speaker 4: legions of skanks.
- 1:03:22Speaker 5: We're big Big Jay fans on this podcast.
- 1:03:24Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, yeah, big Ja He's our white whale. Call
- 1:03:30Speaker 4: me Ishmael. But so so so I'm talking a Big Jay.
- 1:03:35Speaker 4: I'm like, I'm like swaddling over and he was like
- 1:03:38Speaker 4: nervous for me. And then apparently I go up and
- 1:03:40Speaker 4: I sing every note to every song perfectly.
- 1:03:43Speaker 5: Damn, this actually happened. They just tell you that happened.
- 1:03:47Speaker 4: No, they told me, like video not not, there might
- 1:03:51Speaker 4: be a Saturday video.
- 1:03:52Speaker 3: Maybe it feels like it feels like a Wolf of
- 1:03:54Speaker 3: Wall Street when Leonardo DiCaprio drives the call home and
- 1:03:56Speaker 3: he's like, I got home without a scratch on.
- 1:03:58Speaker 4: My Literally, that.
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: Crawling into my wife is.
- 1:04:04Speaker 4: Like I wanted divorce. That's are not great. That's probably
- 1:04:08Speaker 4: literally what happened.
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: I killed it.
- 1:04:10Speaker 4: No, I do have something in me that's like if
- 1:04:12Speaker 4: I know a song, I'll sing a perfect I know
- 1:04:14Speaker 4: exactly what happened. I crushed it. But then afterwards Big
- 1:04:17Speaker 4: Jay was like, Maddie, do you want to get burgers?
- 1:04:19Speaker 4: And I was like, but what about the comedy damn.
- 1:04:22Speaker 4: Oh no, I didn't even know. Great and then I
- 1:04:26Speaker 4: woke up the next day in my hotel bed, in
- 1:04:28Speaker 4: that tiny little room, and he's like, what happened? Oh no?
- 1:04:31Speaker 4: Then I threw up at the creek. Oh that's what sounds.
- 1:04:34Speaker 4: We all walked back to the creek. Rebecca took me there,
- 1:04:37Speaker 4: and then I projectile vomited there and well there was
- 1:04:41Speaker 4: some and then I in the I'll.
- 1:04:43Speaker 3: Be honest, if someone threw up on my arm, someone
- 1:04:47Speaker 3: second grade and it I.
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: Think he was a kissed because he threw up on
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: his arm.
- 1:04:54Speaker 4: He called me a week later. I gave him his
- 1:04:55Speaker 4: space to chill. And then he called me a week
- 1:04:57Speaker 4: later and we were laughing about it. Really, I gave
- 1:04:59Speaker 4: him his distance.
- 1:05:00Speaker 5: I give you the space.
- 1:05:03Speaker 4: I gave him space. You know how men sometimes like
- 1:05:06Speaker 4: just need space. I'm going to giving guys space. Yeah,
- 1:05:13Speaker 4: I think maybe I'm space. What do you guys think
- 1:05:15Speaker 4: of like when men like need space. I've heard you're
- 1:05:18Speaker 4: supposed to like let them.
- 1:05:19Speaker 5: I have no clue.
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: He's definitely do the need space.
- 1:05:24Speaker 5: I've never needed space once in my entire life.
- 1:05:26Speaker 4: As a guy on his phone while we're speaking.
- 1:05:28Speaker 5: To him, I need space right now, guys.
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: Because people just don't want to relationships. I'm married, Yeah
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: what Yeah, I'm married?
- 1:05:37Speaker 3: May no you we actually have the same wife's share
- 1:05:43Speaker 3: started the podcast.
- 1:05:44Speaker 4: Do you guys? You guys, I just to together?
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: Yeah, we do. We're not we're thinking about moving in.
- 1:05:49Speaker 4: We wanted to get married first. What we've been married.
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: I got married less than a year ago. Yeah, I
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: got a ring on my finger. All that ship. Yeah,
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: it's fucking it's fucking crazy.
- 1:06:02Speaker 4: All are to be married, I know, right, it's nuts.
- 1:06:04Speaker 5: One can only wish.
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: You know, Are you gonna get married someday?
- 1:06:07Speaker 4: No? I feel like I'm just gonna have a kid
- 1:06:09Speaker 4: alone when I kind of that no one can handle me,
- 1:06:13Speaker 4: you know what I mean? Facts intimidating.
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: Just have some You should just get a go to
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: the bank.
- 1:06:21Speaker 4: So strong. I just imagine every dude who's ever like
- 1:06:25Speaker 4: abandoned me just like in their bed, like fuck every day,
- 1:06:29Speaker 4: like I lost.
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: Watching a bunch of space. Yeah, saying that a lot
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: that they need space.
- 1:06:38Speaker 4: No, I just feel like I get involved in things
- 1:06:40Speaker 4: that are like intense and then they like abandon because
- 1:06:43Speaker 4: I'm fucking annoying.
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: I think that it was way better when dudes just
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: like didn't talk about their emotions at all.
- 1:06:50Speaker 4: Now they're always like my anxiety and like my mom
- 1:06:53Speaker 4: when I was growing up, like wrong energy at a pit.
- 1:07:00Speaker 4: So that's how I feel. I just feel like, yeah,
- 1:07:02Speaker 4: the mental health with guys is strong, and they're just
- 1:07:05Speaker 4: like I don't know, it's just like it's like and
- 1:07:07Speaker 4: then they talk about it and then they treat you
- 1:07:09Speaker 4: like ship because of it, because.
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: And they're entitled too. Yeah, it's like I'm just going
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: through a lot right now.
- 1:07:14Speaker 4: It's like he has anxiety. It's like he's a fucking rescue.
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: Yeah, chill, dude, you're less incredible. Do you do you
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: find that that's uh, that's worth worse in New York
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: City or in other places.
- 1:07:25Speaker 4: No, I just think it's bad for just people our age.
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: I think it's worse in New York City. I think
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: dudes are like have like cool ass clothes and like
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: fucking have like problems and ship like that.
- 1:07:35Speaker 4: On the first date, guys will be dumping their trauma
- 1:07:38Speaker 4: on me.
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: Chill, what's your favorite color? Like it's not that deep.
- 1:07:43Speaker 4: We talk about like your pept that for a while. Yeah,
- 1:07:49Speaker 4: they'll dump on me and I'm like, if I told
- 1:07:50Speaker 4: you my trauma, you would fucking cry, But go off
- 1:07:56Speaker 4: on how your parents divorce.
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: Was really bad till everybody's parents are divorced. Dude, chill
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: the fuck out. Everybody has that. It's not so you
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: bury that ship down, swallow that my friend, that ship.
- 1:08:09Speaker 5: Just get some freaking pride.
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: But I think in other cities, smaller towns, people have
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: like fewer emotions.
- 1:08:15Speaker 4: They just wear jeans and like an under Armour shirt
- 1:08:17Speaker 4: and like shit.
- 1:08:18Speaker 3: As fucuse everyone knows each other too obsessed with the
- 1:08:21Speaker 3: underarm Like I know your parents are divorced.
- 1:08:23Speaker 4: I know your parents. Yeah, I'm your cousin.
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: Fuck, I were dating shared trauma. You get me, I
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: get you.
- 1:08:33Speaker 5: I just feel like no one gets me like you did.
- 1:08:35Speaker 4: Yeah, we have so much haste doing.
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: We have the same jeans.
- 1:08:39Speaker 4: I think if thirty five, I'm not like wifed up,
- 1:08:41Speaker 4: I'll just move to a small town and get with
- 1:08:43Speaker 4: like an under Armour guy.
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, it's yeah there. Under Armour's. Under Armour has
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: to be like a trillion dollar brand because every dude
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: who's not in like a cool guy in the city
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: is just wearing some fucking I.
- 1:08:55Speaker 5: Feel like under armour used to be way bigger.
- 1:08:57Speaker 4: It was hot when I was in high school.
- 1:08:58Speaker 3: We were all we I remember everyone just to have
- 1:09:00Speaker 3: just that big under armoured logo sweatshirt.
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: Yes, and I don't think it's cool anymore. But I
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: think like dads who like t ball dads and ship
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: like that, you're like over aggressive, are just like walking
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: around in full under hate under armour hate.
- 1:09:12Speaker 5: I hated it and it was really expensive.
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: It's just a type of person. I think.
- 1:09:15Speaker 3: I just thought they're closed, like I like, like I
- 1:09:18Speaker 3: like cotton, you know, I don't know, I feel like
- 1:09:20Speaker 3: a stretchy ass skin feel.
- 1:09:23Speaker 4: The sweaty suburbs or like ectually, I'm not like an
- 1:09:28Speaker 4: anti suburb person.
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: But I I know. Or like when you see people
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: who are like clearly on vacation wearing under armour or
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: some ship like that, like where like at this throwing
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: a button like a Tommy Bahama or some ship like that,
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: just even just a cold button down, like it doesn't
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: have to be that deep, Like it doesn't have to
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: be that.
- 1:09:45Speaker 4: Old ass buttons the airport And I'm like looking at
- 1:09:47Speaker 4: people and I'm like, how do you love yourself when
- 1:09:49Speaker 4: you dress like that?
- 1:09:50Speaker 5: Oh, man, you should have seen.
- 1:09:53Speaker 4: What you're saying.
- 1:09:54Speaker 5: You should have seen me in the airport when I
- 1:09:55Speaker 5: was leaving Austin. Tell me the lowest I've.
- 1:09:58Speaker 4: Ever been the Austin airport and suck my car.
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: I got there at two a m.
- 1:10:03Speaker 5: It was closed.
- 1:10:04Speaker 4: Oh my god.
- 1:10:04Speaker 5: So I laid on the floor of the airport for
- 1:10:07Speaker 5: like three hours.
- 1:10:08Speaker 4: So the shuttle took you too early?
- 1:10:10Speaker 5: No, I didn't even do the shuttle. I didn't feel
- 1:10:12Speaker 5: like making that guy drive me. Yeah, I at like
- 1:10:15Speaker 5: two am.
- 1:10:15Speaker 4: Yeah I know.
- 1:10:16Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:10:17Speaker 4: Yeah. And the people were volunteer paid.
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:10:19Speaker 5: Really were you supposed to tip them?
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: Definitely?
- 1:10:22Speaker 4: But I'm already in the red for this.
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:10:26Speaker 5: Hell no, I felt bad I didn't tip them.
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: Hell no, up, you gotta tip, especially if like you
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: gotta tip the shuttle people, and especially it's not actually
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: a shuttle.
- 1:10:34Speaker 3: No, they get paid. I talked to one of I
- 1:10:36Speaker 3: talked to the guy that picked me up from the airport. Yeah,
- 1:10:38Speaker 3: and I was like that was like, so it's just
- 1:10:39Speaker 3: like a game.
- 1:10:40Speaker 4: And I was like, uh, in trade for like a
- 1:10:42Speaker 4: free pass or something.
- 1:10:43Speaker 5: Oh it might have been. I He told me he was.
- 1:10:45Speaker 5: He said it was just like a weekend thing he
- 1:10:47Speaker 5: was doing.
- 1:10:47Speaker 4: Ok, yeah, it probably plays like a thousand dollars.
- 1:10:49Speaker 5: Yeah, probably.
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: Why can't Why can the Austin Airport tuck your dick?
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: I know I can tuck his dick. Why can you
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: chuck your dick?
- 1:10:55Speaker 4: Thanks for asking. I just think it's like the city
- 1:10:58Speaker 4: is like blowing up and everyone goes there, so flights
- 1:11:01Speaker 4: are expensive and the airport is so crowded, so not
- 1:11:03Speaker 4: big enough to for the capacity. And then you know
- 1:11:06Speaker 4: what's gonna happen. They're gonna build a big airport. It's
- 1:11:08Speaker 4: going to take ten years, and by the time it's done,
- 1:11:09Speaker 4: no one's gonna want to live in Austin.
- 1:11:13Speaker 5: Yeah, his heart will have exploded massive airport steroids.
- 1:11:17Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't know. We'll see.
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: But that's why you think he's about to die. Rogan,
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 1:11:24Speaker 5: I don't know, man live forever.
- 1:11:26Speaker 4: I never. I find actually that once you actually listen
- 1:11:29Speaker 4: to the podcast, respectfully, it's not that engaging. It's it's
- 1:11:33Speaker 4: a lot of just like yeah, uh huh.
- 1:11:35Speaker 3: Nick Balin had like this bit where he was like,
- 1:11:37Speaker 3: Joe Rogan's for people who like to who like to
- 1:11:40Speaker 3: go every once in a while.
- 1:11:41Speaker 5: Ago huh.
- 1:11:44Speaker 4: Said, that's the whole fan Really, if you actually listen
- 1:11:48Speaker 4: to it, you're like, this is a lot of dead
- 1:11:49Speaker 4: airs podcasts. Now that's good. Yeah, yeah, it depends on that.
- 1:11:55Speaker 4: I don't listen I know the episodes, it's just so long.
- 1:11:58Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't have ten hours to listen to the
- 1:12:00Speaker 3: COVID doctors talking about the vaccine.
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: But people, it is a good I mean, or I
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: get a lot of my science off podcasts now, not
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: Joe Rogan necessarily, but like eat different girls gotta eat
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: and ship like that, and guys, we fucking ship like that.
- 1:12:16Speaker 4: That's right.
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: I was. I listened to like a fucking three hour
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: podcast yesterday about how like sunlight will fucking like change
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: you as a human being, and that's all they were
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: talking about. And then this morning I want that it
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: like sunlight is like transformative that it can like if
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: like applied directly to your organs. It's like the most
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: the most significant non invasive procedure that you can get
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: is just sunlight on your ship.
- 1:12:42Speaker 4: Is that why people do like the assholes of the sunlight?
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: I think it's got to be.
- 1:12:45Speaker 4: Should we try it?
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: I mean I would. My hamstrings aren't tight enough. I
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: would need like two assistance to kind of hold.
- 1:12:51Speaker 5: We could do that.
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: Yeah, they're not loose enough.
- 1:12:53Speaker 5: We could definitely get.
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: You love that. But I uh, this morning I walked out,
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: I like just stood outside in the sun for like
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: fifteen minutes, Like I was just like fucking.
- 1:13:05Speaker 5: There was it was raining this morning.
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: Yeah, but they said on the podcraft, They're like even
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: cloud cover is like enough to like fuck your ship
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: up and give you some good energy. You just want
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: to be depressed and inside.
- 1:13:16Speaker 5: I walked to work this morning.
- 1:13:18Speaker 4: Yeah, where do you live?
- 1:13:19Speaker 5: West Village?
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: It was ten minutes. I know. I still he always
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: makes us seat. Usually he'll take ubers, though he won't.
- 1:13:28Speaker 4: Yeah, I would too, I uber I uber like it's my.
- 1:13:30Speaker 5: Personal three six hundred steps.
- 1:13:33Speaker 4: That's awesome.
- 1:13:34Speaker 5: Let's go my dog, my man. Here's twelve fifty Jesus
- 1:13:40Speaker 5: here recording. Oh, I guess it's fifteen. Oh okay, and

- 1:13:52Speaker 5: Do you want to go meet pres here?
- 1:13:54Speaker 4: Oh? Yeah, yes?
- 1:13:55Speaker 5: And you read it.
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: Wait, you want to confront me?
- 1:13:58Speaker 3: Smith is coming and he said, no fucking way, we didn't.
