- Mark Hayes (00:01.286) All right, ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to another live edition of Two Men in Black and White and Honest Conversation. So much to talk about after the brief hiatus of the two gentlemen on your screen. Brock and Ellis Mark Hayes here with you. All right, Brock, let's get into it. First of all, we've got an MMA construction site on the grounds of the White House, which is absolutely ridiculous. And then we're negotiating with Iran all the things that weren't wrong. Before this ridiculous conflict started. What do you make of this nonsense? These guys suck at governing. Brock Ganeles (00:37.954) Lark, I think the Iranian quote negotiations that were apparently going on this weekend are an absolute fraud perpetuated by Donald Trump, who then enlisted the entire machinations of the US government from the State Department to military to the communications department to anyone who wasn't at a cookout to go out and pretend as though Donald Trump was in deep personally Mark Hayes (01:02.462) Yeah. Brock Ganeles (01:06.798) Deep in the weeds in um ceasefire negotiations with Iran, which we all know is absolute horseshit because he's not deep in the weeds on anything. And I believe that the entire fucking shade was because Donald Trump didn't want to go to Don Jr.'s wedding. So he pretended that it was quote bad timing for him due to Iran, and the rest of the American government had to pretend like. Mark Hayes (01:29.288) Yeah. Brock Ganeles (01:36.428) Trump was in these deep negotiations when even when it was being expressed of what was agreed upon and what the stumbling blocks were, we're very, very close. But we don't have an agreement on the Strait of Horn Moose being opened or on the uranium enrichment that relates to nuclear weapons. The two most important factors in the entire fucking quote conflict. So I think it's all because Donald Trump hates his son. Mark Hayes (01:55.187) Yeah. Brock Ganeles (02:04.854) And I'm pissed at the media for lapdogging around for seventy two hours pretending like there were serious negotiations going on that Trump was involved with. Your thoughts? Mark Hayes (02:13.892) Right. And in the meantime, in the meantime, Centcom told us that they fired off strikes as defensive strikes. And now Iran wants to atta retaliate. I mean, w I thought we were in a ceasefire. Wha we're negotiating. Why are we firing off attacks? you you you're shooting At the people who are planting mines in the Strait of Ormuz. like w what are we doing? Like, how do you expect tensions not to escalate? They think, they thought, the miscalculation was they thought Iran was just gonna roll over because the US showed up and fired off a couple of bombs. Doesn't work that way. When you're when you're trying to annihilate a people who are okay with martyrdom. Who are okay with going to see their 72 virgins? You can't kill off the Iranians. There's 90 million of them. I don't care if you have bombs the size of VW wagons. It doesn't matter. They're gonna keep coming. And that is exactly what they're doing. They're trolling us with those Lego videos. They released another one over the weekend. Which had to do which was targeted at black Americans, basically going through the history of black America. They had a bunch of black American Legos. I don't know where they got those actors from, but they were pretty good. But you know, they they understand our country better than our government does. Better than these non nonsensical knuckleheads that are in charge right now. And that's a scary thought. Brock Ganeles (04:11.392) And they're watching the kicking and the screaming and the complaining from rank and file Americans. They probably have Instagram and YouTube feeds similar to mine, which is one person after another complaining about the price of gas, the price of diesel, the price of electricity, the price of fertilizer, right? The price at the grocery store. Mark Hayes (04:22.462) Yes. Mark Hayes (04:28.008) Peace. Mark Hayes (04:32.594) Yep. Yep. Brock Ganeles (04:37.356) So they're just sitting there watching Americans complain about everything and knowing that every day they just hang around in this conflict that Trump weakens and his negotiating hand gets weaker and weaker because these are p these are MAGA voters that are getting mad at their own people for this war of choice that at least half of them now are against half of MAGA. Mark Hayes (04:44.956) Yep. Yep. Mark Hayes (04:55.43) Right. Brock Ganeles (05:06.466) Which makes seventy percent of the country, half of MAGA, against this war, because they don't understand why we're doing it, and it's hurting them, and we know MAGA only cares about what impacts them and it's impacting them. So Iran's government is just sitting there going, Okay, we'll play in the long game here. Mark Hayes (05:17.358) about that. Right. Mark Hayes (05:23.964) Mm-hmm. Yes, indeed. And and they're winning. They're winning. Because anything Trump does right now to back out and pull troops out looks like a loss. Looks like an L. And I mean, with all the damage that we've we'll never know what the damage is, right? Because they're not gonna, they're not gonna tell us. Right? So in a couple of years, when the book comes out, right, after all the damage is repaired and assessed. And the cost is tallied, right? Think about all the munitions we've used, billions and billions of dollars worth of arms. We can't get into another conflict anywhere when we're not loaded enough. It's gonna take years to replenish what we've wasted in Iran. Right? And you know, and here we are again with these the the the devil's triangle of Putin. She and Trump. Trump goes over, leaves a couple of messages for Putin. Putin comes down to see she. He passes the messages on. And I'm telling you, Brock, it's literally like he gets a to-do list. Trump is not smart enough to do who wants to take troops out of Poland? Like Donald Trump doesn't know enough about geopolitics, the geopolitical scene. To want to remove troops from Poland and think it's saving us money or think it's strategic. He doesn't know anything about he's listening to Vladimir Putin. And the only reason we didn't do it is because the career military guys won out over Hegseth in his idiocy. That's what happened. Why would we want to remove troops from Poland? Because it makes them vulnerable to Putin. And that's all Putin cares about. And that's what Putin is using this useful idiot for, right? To get done what he wants accomplished in Europe. And he wants all of Europe, not just a piece of it. He just didn't realize how shitty his military was. Brock Ganeles (07:40.152) Well, Iran has really highlighted the incompetence of Trump and his team. It's it's working its way into the US populace, not because they care about geopolitics or could pick out Iran on a map, but because their quality of life is getting impacted in so many different ways, right? 'Cause first Trump stripped the healthcare away from people, then Trump, you know, touted and promoted and allowed for, you know. Mark Hayes (07:43.836) Yep. Yep. Mark Hayes (07:58.792) Bigly. Brock Ganeles (08:10.37) This data center boom that's draining resources from local municipalities. And then the price at the grocery store continued to go up, even though he said he was gonna get that down day one. Now the price at the gas pump has gone up. I mean it's basically almost every aspect of everyone's li lives has gotten more expensive. And it's not at a time where we're we're in boom times and everyone's just making money hand over fist. So it's just draining from us. Mark Hayes (08:32.768) Yes. Mark Hayes (08:37.65) Mm-mm. Yep. Brock Ganeles (08:39.692) Because of that, because of his phenomenal tax cuts for the wealthiest one percent, the deficit and you know the national debt is exploding, which is gonna hurt us down the road. But it's made borrowing costs higher too. So we're e even housing sucks, right? Because you can't get mortgage rates down, you can't get any rates down because there's too much inflation, the cost of borrowing is up. So everything is tied together as always. But Trump's regime Mark Hayes (08:52.284) Mm-hmm. Mark Hayes (09:01.992) Right. Brock Ganeles (09:09.642) is failing on every front except rounding up people of color and throwing them in detention centers and doing it quieter than they were doing it three months ago. Maybe not they haven't killed anyone in a on video in a while. So they probably view that as a success. Mark Hayes (09:21.543) Yeah. Mark Hayes (09:25.595) Right. Well, people people in the detention centers are dying. You know, we're just not getting the full picture. and when I was up in New York last weekend, I saw there was a group that had called for a rally in the Bronx, and they were talking about how detentions were up and disappearances were up 71% from ICE grabbing people off the street. And Brock, what is the per Brock, do they not realize what the people they are grabbing off the street are actually doing here? They're working their asses off. Those are the people that are cleaning hotel rooms. Those are the people who are washing cars. Those are the people who are cutting lawns. Those are the people who are replacing roofs. Those are the people who are doing so many jobs that Americans have put themselves above. Who's gonna do those jobs now? That's the workforce they snatched. Brock Ganeles (10:28.364) Yeah. In rural in rural areas it was farming. In urban areas, it's also like dishwashers and restaurant industry, which is huge. And those restaurants are s they're suffering. Their costs are their cost of product, the food, is up and they're and they can't get the labor, which means their cost of labor is gonna have to go up 'cause you gotta pay people more to stay in there. It's just become uneconomic. Mark Hayes (10:35.494) Yep. Restaurant employees. Mark Hayes (10:46.245) yeah. Mark Hayes (10:54.355) Yeah. Brock Ganeles (10:54.368) across the board. So we're just losing more and more of those businesses. Why the economy in aggregate is in decline. But the scary part of what you said about ICE's effectiveness and these detention centers booming is that Trump now has also taken one point eight billion dollars from the Treasury, just scooped it into a slush fund to pay who? His Jan Sixers and Proud Boys and Three Percenters to keep it's in essence payments of his private militia, right? Because these are the people that are going to defend and fight for him. So he's just figured out a way to pay them. Mark Hayes (11:27.986) Yep. Yep. Mark Hayes (11:36.414) So I I first of all I need clarification on something. Some verbiage you used in a show, I think on f last week, last Friday maybe. You said he scoobied the money? He scoobied it. Yeah, I've I've been trying to use it properly in a sentence. I just don't know if I'm using it properly enough. Brock Ganeles (11:48.023) Scooby. Brock Ganeles (11:52.91) I Scooby is kinda like a a variation of scooping. It's like scooping illegally would be to Scooby the money. White guy term. White guy term. Probably came from s probably came from Scooby-Doo. Not sure the exact origin of it, but somewhere in there it's like th you know, Scooby-Doo is always false premises of some ghost behind the scene. So I think it just c connotations. Mark Hayes (11:56.734) Okay. Mark Hayes (12:03.223) Okay. Okay. I just wanna Mark Hayes (12:12.772) Okay. Cool. Mark Hayes (12:17.834) Right. Brock Ganeles (12:22.528) Something that's not on the up and up. Thus Scooby. Mark Hayes (12:23.23) Okay. Anyway, I've been trying to use it properly. I just didn't know if I was or not. So people are probably looking at me like, what is he talking about with the Scooby stuff? Anyway. Brock Ganeles (12:34.574) If you're if you're in a room of white people, they'd be like, he Scoobied it. Yeah, they would know. he he pilfered it. He stole it. Mark Hayes (12:37.786) Right. So in response to President Trump's Scooby of that one point eight billion dollar slush fund, one point seven, whatever it is, I've been noticing on TikTok and the gram a whole lot of videos talking about black Americans applying for the fund. So JD Vance was in the West Wing the other day talking about we're going to take applications of people who feel like they have been mistreated by their government. So I've got 400 years of facts and statistics that show how the African American has been mistreated by his government. So I'm going to apply. My kids are gonna apply. Everybody I know in my family, I'm telling them to apply. And if nothing else, we gum up the works. Because now you gotta figure out, you know, who do I want to get this money? Right? So, what are they gonna do? Are they gonna look up social security numbers? Look at that fifth digit and see if it's odd or even. Have you heard that? That's how you can tell whether somebody is black or Caucasian. by the fifth digit. I think the odd number represents an African American and the even numbers represents white America. That's the rumor. Brock Ganeles (14:14.144) Really? I I have an even number. My fifth my fifth digit's an even number. Hmm. Wow. Jesus Christ, I'd never heard that one. I don't know how they're gonna go through it. I mean, I assume that the the people that storm the Capitol are gonna be in their own category and they're gonna be at the front of the line. But yeah, I would love anything that bureaucratically, you know, fucks things up and makes it more complicated for those knuckleheads to figure out how to divvy up the money 'cause there's no Mark Hayes (14:20.25) Mine's an odd number. Brock Ganeles (14:43.608) There's no auditing mechanism on it. We'll have no idea where that money goes. It's like a crypto fund. It's just money that's in an account to be at the president's discretion. It is the single most corrupt act in presidential history. You have nothing that can that can 1.8 billion dollars taken from the Treasury in a false settlement with your own IRS. I mean, Trump could sue. Mark Hayes (14:46.478) It will be. Right. Mark Hayes (14:52.402) That American tax. Mark Hayes (14:59.922) You think it's big. Nothing rivals that. Yeah. Mark Hayes (15:08.477) Right. Brock Ganeles (15:12.418) The Department of Agri Agriculture tomorrow for ten billion and say they screwed him out of a a farm, you know, next to Bedminster and and then settle for another one point eight billion or one point seven seven six billion to be patriotic, 'cause it's seventeen seventy six. Because, you know, the you gotta throw that red fucking patriotic red meat to the fucking MAGA idiots so they'll be on board with anything. Mark Hayes (15:13.379) Yeah. Yeah. Yep. Mark Hayes (15:19.504) And settled for a billion. Yeah. Mark Hayes (15:28.808) There you go. beautiful. Mark Hayes (15:38.008) They're patriots. The guys that tried to kill the vice president are actually patriots. they're still running around saying that mess. I caught a video this morning. It was really disturbing. I I forwarded to a good friend of mine, former Republican, one of my favorite Caucasian families. They live in Colorado now because they abandon the red state. They were that annoyed by what was going on in the Red State, so they left and went to Colorado. Love them to death. Forwarded them the video. It was about a guy talking about how awesome it was that the Roberts Supreme Court was going to get rid of all the minorities, make them inconsequential, and that the blacks would probably be s slaves again real soon. And he was excited about it. And he said it with his entire chest. And I'm thinking to myself, okay, like, first of all, where does that kind of hate come from? second of all, I I got off social media. I was like, I've had enough for today. That's all I can stand. I can't stands no more. And and and in the words of Abdul Carter, what we what we doing? What we doing, man? What are we doing? Like, what are you- Brock Ganeles (17:01.41) Well as we Mark Hayes (17:02.494) Country so divided. Jesus. It's hurtful, bro. Brock Ganeles (17:08.28) Well, yeah, one one third of the country is white supremacist. So they feel like going back to our conversation on the N word, that in this power structure they sit on top of it and they don't care how downtrodden anyone else below them is. So they don't care whether you're, you know, have no running water living out of a fucking van in like rural Mississippi or whether you're they they in their mind they actually believe that that Mark Hayes (17:14.974) Yeah. Brock Ganeles (17:37.228) black person in that poverty would be better off as a slave because then at least they'd be they'd maybe have a roof over their head or something, you know? Like white supremacists just have a it's just where they come from. Well I don't even know if it starts with hate or if it just starts with their own grandiosity that they think they are the best. Remember in Hitler's Germany was the master race as you convince people of this sense of entitlement that they are superior And they start thinking of anyone other than as being lesser, and then once they make that determination, they don't care about what the life is of the others or anyone beneath them. It's in a crazy and amazing dynamic, but it's gone on pretty much through through history, right? Mark Hayes (18:25.214) Through history. Yeah. I mean it and it's sad. because you know, people are not born racist, as you well know. It's learned, it's a learned behavior, you know. Yeah. And and unfortunately it's taught in far too many places, Brock, and our media is part of the problem. Right? The way they depict certain cultures, huge part. Brock Ganeles (18:37.61) Learn behavior, it's a societal teaching. Brock Ganeles (18:52.61) Big part of it. Mark Hayes (18:55.622) and then again, of course, as I always say, it starts in the home. so you know, you can't legislate morality, but you know, the media doesn't have to focus on making others, black, brown and others, you know, look deviant, look mischievous, look criminalized. And you know, continue to to to push forth the stereotypes that we've seen you know, since mainstream media became a thing in the late fifties. you know, I'm I mean, just think about it, Brock. Black America couldn't get sympathy when they were getting fire hosed and attacked by police dogs. We couldn't get sympathy then. I mean, i the earliest signs of sympathy came with with with the the assassination of Dr. King. And that didn't last long because remember the city started to burn after that. Brock Ganeles (19:55.341) Yeah. I'm frustrated that seventy was that seventy percent of the country is not on board with this shit. Okay, maybe in that seventy percent you still got a bunch of racism, but seventy percent are are not on board with the overt racism and the corruption and the aggregate atrocities and incompetence of the Trump regime. Like MAGA has shrunk, is shrinking down to a tighter and tighter core. There'll be a good twenty-five, maybe twenty-eight percent that will never be changed. They're unshakable. But that's a minority. And to me, they just get steamrolled. And then they have to adjust to fit into society. Not everyone trying to adjust to them, right? Being woke, right? We all have to we can't be woke because we had we can't upset that 25%. It's fucking bullshit, right? So it should go the other way to where that group Mark Hayes (20:29.136) Right. Right. Right. Mark Hayes (20:37.874) Yeah. Mark Hayes (20:50.078) Right. Brock Ganeles (20:55.65) That racist, xenophobic, homophobic group, they're the ones that have to moderate their behavior when they're in society in order to get along and not be ostracized. They have to play along. That's that to me, that's the end goal. You can't we're not gonna change hearts and minds of everyone here. It's too embedded. But they can be steamrolled and they should be steamrolled, and the frustration is we already have the numbers, but we haven't Mark Hayes (21:17.434) No. No. Brock Ganeles (21:25.546) exerted the power of the numbers yet. Mark Hayes (21:27.814) Right. Because we're not mad enough for whatever reason. I d I don't know why. Five dollar gas should be it you know, that's the thing we can hope for, Brock, is that gas hits five bucks for, you know, regular unleaded. Right? And if you're driving a nice vehicle, you know, it's five seventy nine with cash. The cash price is five seventy nine. Credit price is six nineteen. So, you know, I mean, hey. Brock Ganeles (21:29.902) We're now met. Mark Hayes (21:55.646) All right, let's get to some other stuff that's making news right now. We've got this South Carolina, you know, Republicans fusing refusing to get on board with Trump trying to Scooby more seats in Cong Did I use it properly? Trying to Scooby more seats in Congress? Okay. I'm I'm getting there. Brock Ganeles (22:08.344) Y yeah, yeah. It's another way to use it. Yeah. Yeah, that state sen that state senate wouldn't pass it and I wonder if it's just a sense of right and wrong, I doubt it. Or if they worried, start to worry when they look at these districts that when they dilute them out that they might not have enough of a cushion to hold their to hold some of these districts if they let a bunch of black votes into them. Mark Hayes (22:26.62) I'm black. Yeah, buddy. I told you. I told you. These states are blue-ish at worst. Right? You got, I think 30% of the population is brown. And I'm talking about from the boogie down. So African American. Now you get those folks pissed off and get them coming out. You're not gonna just take Jim Kleibern's seat, Emmanuel Cleaver's seat, just on the what up though. You're not just gonna Scooby his seat like that. Brock Ganeles (23:03.234) Yeah, I think they backed away from it 'cause and I I I believe Alabama also is not gonna redistrict. So I think there's some states that are, you know, aren't so sure that they can shift things around and maintain all what they thought were quote safe seats because when that dial moves twenty points, that changes a lot of seats. That's why when in the whole Tennessee thing Mark Hayes (23:21.723) Uh-huh. Brock Ganeles (23:28.024) Where it's like, they've wiped out the black vote and now there's n they're gonna be all Republican seats. I'm like, well, not so fast. May you know, like Roland Martin's trying to mobilize the black male vote in particular, and I I hope he's successful with that. I was seeing watch this clip today on that. Like you said, it it'll come down to turnout and and overcoming the voter suppression issues but efforts, but it's doable. Mark Hayes (23:35.388) Yep. Yep. Mark Hayes (23:41.042) Big time. Brock Ganeles (23:57.142) And maybe that's why South Carolina backed down. Mark Hayes (23:59.486) I I I hope it is why. because I think a lot of these states have outkicked their coverage. I think Texas outkicked its coverage with a Latino vote. just assuming that the Latino vote is gonna come their way. How? How? How can you get Latino Americans? And I don't care which La Central American or South American country you're from. Because ICE is not making any kind of distinction. So I don't know how they they they calculated that crap, but let's hope that backfires as well. Brock Ganeles (24:37.186) The other pla the other place Trump may have idiotically outkicked his coverage is okay, we got we got Cornyn and Paxson's runoff today, Senate runoff in Texas. And Trump has endorsed Paxson, who's fucking basically a criminal, right? And Paxon's probably gonna win. That's what it looks like the polls show. So that means that Trump's gonna have his third Senator in a lame duck status for the next six months. Mark Hayes (24:48.657) yeah. The felon. Yep. Brock Ganeles (25:07.49) With no job to preserve, not giving a fuck anymore about what they say and how they vote. So you already see Tillis, Tom Tillis called the slushbone, right? What do you call it? Like idiocy on stilts or something like that? Stupid on stilts. And now you have Kennedy in Louisiana Tillis in North Carolina. Kennedy in Louisiana and potentially Cornyn in Texas. Who are flapping in the wind. Mark Hayes (25:10.75) Yeah. Mark Hayes (25:18.19) huh. Yeah. Brock Ganeles (25:35.416) They can do do do and vote any way they want. They're not beholden to anything anymore. They're not protecting anything. And maybe maybe they fuck with Trump, like Tom Massey says he's gonna do in the in this in the in the House. Mark Hayes (25:35.518) Yeah. Mark Hayes (25:48.287) In the seven months he's not remaining. Yep. He he ran down his accomplishments for the previous six months and he said, I've got seven months left in Congress, and the crowd went crazy. I mean, nobody's been screwed more than Kentucky. So, and look at the look at the landscape in Kentucky. Your boy Daniel Cameron, who refused to indict the police officers to kill Brianna Taylor. He lost bigly. So, you know, this proximity to whiteness. Does not always work out for you, Black MAGA. You know, and that's and that's Mitch McConnell's boy, his hand picked Negro for that spot. That Mitch McConnell owned him. So, you know, hey, things are changing. Things are not as they seem. Brock Ganeles (26:35.692) No, if mi if Mitch McConnell if Mitch McConnell were still alive and able to go out there and get on the stump with him, yeah, I Mitch is still alive, right? Sort of. Or maybe he for all we know, he died two months ago and they just propping him up in the seat. They're just propping him in the seat for another for another six months. Just like that New Jersey GOP congressman, I think, Keene or something, who no one's no one's seen him in like five months. Mark Hayes (26:44.772) It's just Mark Hayes (26:50.546) He's gonna walk in dead, baby. Weekended Bernie's. Weekended Mitches. Mark Hayes (27:06.128) And no and no one checked on him for like four months. What's up with that? Brock Ganeles (27:07.97) No and check that. No, no, I has a fucking idea. Where he is, him and Mc Mitch? I mean, these guys are half dead to begin with. But yeah, but but they may have act Trump may have put himself in a trickier spot than he knows by being so contrary to his own people. But he doesn't give a fuck, right? He doesn't give a fuck. Mark Hayes (27:18.073) Right. Mark Hayes (27:24.243) Yeah. Mark Hayes (27:29.206) Absolutely. Absolutely not. what's the deal with this incredibly remarkably large configuration hovering over the White House? An MMA fighting ring in the back in the rose garden? What are we in the words of Abdul Carter, what are we doing, man? What are we doing? Brock Ganeles (27:55.992) How is that a how is that a national priority? How is that possibly going on when half the country can't buy groceries? It just our president doesn't care. He tells us. Trump tells us he doesn't care. He tells us he doesn't care about gas prices. He tells us affordability is a hoax. And he tells us that it's important to the country to have his ballroom and his what arch that he's Mark Hayes (28:06.748) Struggling. Brock Ganeles (28:25.678) Trying to build also and his MMA ring for one night of entertainment on the White House lawn. Mark Hayes (28:32.496) Right. Right. Unbelievable. Brock, you know, we had a shooting near the White House again this weekend. you know, normally I I I Mark Hayes (28:48.808) You know, you can't wish people dead, right? Unfortunately, even though you feel like you're really far removed from it, it can hit close to home. My college roommate from Texas El Paso posted a picture of his son who patrols the White House area as a member of Secret Service Police. And he was holding one of those I don't know if it was an AR or sixteen fifteen, I don't know, whatever it was. but you know, then I thought, you know, with the with with what Trump is provoking, I would hate for a kid that I've watched grow up, you know, be have to be hurt, you know, defending a guy like this. Brock Ganeles (29:42.72) Yeah, and could have been, right? That guy this weekend was really like mentally pro you know, had mental problems, right? He thought he was Jesus Christ. but Trump thinks he's Jesus Christ also. But that guy was like really I mean it was just once again a combination of horrendous healthcare in America, no mental health capacity, access for most people, yet readily easy access to advanced weaponry. So Mark Hayes (29:44.268) I absolutely. Mark Hayes (29:52.784) Yeah. That's probably the issue. Mark Hayes (30:01.49) Zero. Mark Hayes (30:09.052) Yeah. Yep. Brock Ganeles (30:10.582) The same people get the same guns and fire away and yeah, good people can get caught in that line of fire 'cause their job is to protect, you know, shitty people that l that let it go on. Mark Hayes (30:19.9) Yep. Yeah. And I totally forgot that he was working there. And then when I got the text and saw the picture, you know, just really I you know, I had a a ton of mixed emotion. And 'cause he's the same age as my son. And you know, remembering them getting together on the weekends, like it was always a you know a treat for us to have our sons together. And hanging out. you know, I've been friends with this guy since since we met each other in 1984 in El Paso. And Yeah, man, it really just kind of threw me for a loop, man. So, you know, it's it's this this thing is impacting everybody. Let's just let's just put it that way. This presidency is having an ill effect on us. emotionally, physically, financially, it is making life hard for Americans. It's hard to live here right now. I talked to a guy that I really respect his opinion just the other day, and he said, You know what? That's why I can't live here. I'm out as soon as I retire. You know, which for us is not far away. All right, what else you got? Brock Ganeles (31:47.074) You know, do you see that thing in California where that chemical plant was had a crack in it or something and they're worried about it exploding and they had fifty or sixty thousand people had to evacuate their homes on Memorial Day week a Memorial Day weekend. Mark Hayes (31:54.194) Yes. Yeah. Brock Ganeles (32:05.602) Had to evacuate the homes, like where the fuck did 50, 60,000 people go? First of all, right? And that was probably fucking expensive to have to go somewhere. So you had to stay in hotels or had to drive and pay that like seven dollars of gas that it costs out in California. Right? And then just today, another facility blew up, I think, in the state of Washington. There's a whole bunch of people dead, others injured. They can't find some people. You know, that doesn't bode well. And it just gets back that whole idea. Mark Hayes (32:10.344) Right. Mark Hayes (32:16.923) In this economy. Right. Brock Ganeles (32:34.59) Of MAGA world wants to fight for deregulation and lower regulations and you gotta let the capitalism work to let the free markets go and go. And we're co consistently putting ourselves more and more at risk because Mark Hayes (32:38.524) Megalite. No oxhão. Mark Hayes (32:44.155) Yeah. Brock Ganeles (32:50.198) We've decided that there doesn't have to be oversight of anything and just let the moneymakers make their money and everything else will fall into place and it never works that way. It's the regular people that always feel the downside and are the ones that get screwed. At the same time, there was a coal mining accident in China, like 90 people died. Do you see that? Mark Hayes (33:04.35) Who gets from Mark Hayes (33:13.724) Right. Yep. Saw it. Brock Ganeles (33:14.976) Whenever that happened, I would always be like, you know what? Fucking China. They don't care about their people. They're just trying to march along and grow their economy. There's no regulation safety. Those people are just gonna be pushed aside. They have 90 more behind them because the country's got a billion 1.2 billion people, and they don't care about their people. But that's the United States now. We are them. Same thing. We don't care about our workers. Nobody is looking out for anybody. Mark Hayes (33:25.47) That's like America. Mark Hayes (33:36.912) Same thing. Yep. Brock Ganeles (33:44.372) anymore in America. Mark Hayes (33:46.652) Yeah. I'll give you a line from your favorite movie. Greed is good. Wanna wake up in the city that never sleeps from Wall Street. All right. before we get out of here, New York Knicks, how about it? We're going to the finals, baby. Team basketball, push, hey, push the tempo. It worked. I don't know if OKC can keep up. I know San Antonio might be a tougher matchup, but hey, we haven't lost in a month, baby. Brock Ganeles (34:20.992) Eleven playoff wins in a row is pretty impressive. And they're just steamrolling people. The funny side note there is that you know how when teams are on the road or when the stadium is sold out, they're creating these little viewing parties where people can get together and watch games and it's gonna be a big thing for the World Cup. And in New York City they had to they had to shut that down. J under the heading of y you know, you can't you can't trust people with things. Mark Hayes (34:24.06) Rare air. Mark Hayes (34:41.032) Right. Brock Ganeles (34:49.147) It it turned into a absolute fr free for all. Beer bottles being thrown all over the place, sh gates getting thrown, shit getting trashed, and they can't have those outdoor white watch parties in New York City. Mark Hayes (35:00.69) I'm going home for the parade when we win. my goodness, yes. Brock Ganeles (35:02.158) That parade'll be a shit show. There's not enough police to for for a Knicks parade. Yeah. Well certainly hasn't been one in our lifetime, so it'll be in it'll be interesting. Mark Hayes (35:09.267) Hey. Mark Hayes (35:12.594) Yeah. Let me give you a black footnote. How about a black footnote for the New York Knicks? Remember the 7980 season when they were called an unflattering name because they had an all-black roster. Red Holtzman was the coach. Butch Beard was your assistant coach. And reportedly Red Holtzman said, Hey, I'm picking the best team. I don't care if they're all green. And remember that team had some stars on a cartwright. Michael Ray Richardson, Earl the Pearl Monroe was on that team. This is 79 daily. Brock Ganeles (35:43.746) Ray Williams? Ray W Ray Williams from Mel Vernon on that team? Or not there yet? Not Ray yet? Mark Hayes (35:47.817) I don't I don't think I don't think he was there yet. No, I don't I don't think he was on that team. That was 7980. I think he was still in college. yeah, when that happened. Yeah. But but you know, Sugar Ray could ball, man. I mean, that was a hell of a team. And couldn't get past the all blackness of it. New York was livid. Brock Ganeles (36:00.65) Okay. Sh Sugar Ray Richardson. Mark Hayes (36:16.388) And then the the the nickname that they earned, I'm not even gonna repeat. because I had numerous ad nausea discussions with my dad about what was going on, you know, because it was in the papers all the time, you know, the daily, the daily rags, the daily news, and the New York Post. but anyway, it is to say that you know, again, you can't have nice things, you know, if people aren't happy, right? Brock Ganeles (36:43.608) But it's good to see basketball like this back in New York. It is like really the city game and it is New York City's game as much as anything. And this team really plays the right way. Great leadership. Like it's a real team. So easy to root for. Jalen Brunson's like a real a real leader. So as much as I hate James Dole and the owner, but I have to look past that and just, you know, move on to the players. So yeah, it's gonna be an interesting couple weeks here in the city. Mark Hayes (36:46.654) Yeah. The Mecca. The Mecca. Mark Hayes (37:01.15) Yeah. Right, right. Mark Hayes (37:09.842) Yeah. Yes indeed. Yes indeed. And you know, to counter what you got going on over in in in New Jersey there at Met Life, nobody's happier than Jackson Dart right now. Cause the the spotlight instantly went away from him and went across the river. All right, buddy. Let's rack it up. We'll do it again tomorrow. Yes, sir. Revolution. Brock Ganeles (37:35.182) All right, Mark, always a pleasure. Mark Hayes (37:39.25) shall not be televised.
