- DJ Rubbaban: You know, give us a Rudy Ray Moore story. Oh, well, let me put it this way. Ray Moore was that was dolemite to the people that don't know who. And he was pretty raw. He was extremely raw. we were the house band. And again, this was at the show, the sportsman's club, the one I was talking about, everybody was through. And we had nights there with him and we would back him up. Okay. And that first night, you we our set plan and all this stuff. I think I played saxophone. No, no, I was playing guitar, I think. And then, and then, He started his routine. He came out. And at that time I was, I may have been a little heavier, a little bit of bigger waist. He started talking about me. Oh yeah. He started talking about me. You talk about being embarrassed. would, you know, I can just see how comedians, people feel in that front row when they pick you out and start talking. But he, and I said, I felt so bad. I tried to get buddy, said, man, can you, can you play it Saturday the next night? ⁓ just don't even want to do it.
